Visiting the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi was an unforgettable experience. The ship is massive and full of history, with well-preserved exhibits and interactive sections. One of the highlights was meeting Richard in the engine room he took the time to explain how the carrier operated and shared fascinating personal anecdotes. Talking with him truly brought the ship to life and made the visit even more special. If you're in the area, don’t miss this piece of naval history and the chance to meet passionate people like Richard.

Definitely a must to go see, but plan most of the day if you want to see it all, it's a big ship. They have bathrooms, cafeteria, a movie theater and a gift shop of course. Best if you don't go during the heat of the summer, not many cool spots. But if you don't mind sweating go ahead, they do have a little cooler spots here and there. Fun for the whole family and a big part of history.

My kids enjoyed the tour ages 16 and 11. The tour took about 2 hrs. It’s self guided. In a world where kids are glued to their phones and social media it captured their attention. I do not recommend this tour for toddlers, heels, dressy clothing or people with walking restrictions. Their is a lot of climbing (ladder style stairs). Dont forget to take your free picture, it cost $35 for the print out but the digital versions using the QR code are free. Parking was $5 directly across the street. It’s so much to do in the area so bring beach stuff, strollers etc to enjoy the day in the surrounding area.

Came here spur of the moment. And really enjoyed it. This one lasted us half a day and we didn't finish looking at everything. There is so much to do and see. The crew is friendly the place is neat. There are some areas where you can spot hints of the past. The renovated and up kept areas of the ship suddenly contrasted by the subtle reminders that yes, this ship did see war, fought in battles, and has aged. Love it. Highly recommend this spot for a visit if your a military buff.

Very interesting self-guided tour. Can catch a free cart ride up the gangway. The steps are steep and narrow to the different levels so wear good shoes if going.

Went here a few weeks ago. Kid friendly. This place was absolutely amazing. They have 5 different tours to choose from and they explain everything about the ship, to the crew, the historical aspects, military honor, they even have a section on here about Pearl Harbor. Be prepared to learn about the history. If you want to get your steps in for the day, this is the place. Spent 5 hours here and walked over 10K steps. Highly recommend this for a day trip.

Great experience! There is a lot to learn not only about this ship, but a few others as well as about the crews that lived aboard. Note that while walking through the below decks, there are a few rooms that are very cold, which I would think would be a good break in between on the hotter days. It does take a good amount of time to walk and to listen/read everything.

This was such an amazing visit! It is a bit on the pricy side (+$7 parking) but it’s worth it since the money goes to help the rescue and animals! I went during a weekday so it wasn’t packed at all. I was only planning on staying for an hour or two and ended up staying until close. I was able to catch the dolphin show at 3pm, which was magnificent!! The water is beautiful from there. They have swings where you can relax and watch the water or the USS Lexington, which is right next door! The aquarium itself has so many cool fish and staff who truly love their job! They are attentive and informative! I loved my visit here and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting!

Beautiful way to spend a very hot day. I'm a total aquarium nerd, and this was a treat! Lots of good info on the various species. Animals are healthy and happy. The dolphin show was so cute, you can tell they are having a blast!

Absolutely loved the dolphins show! Also, the otters are so fun to watch. Very interesting and informative. My grandchildren enjoyed everything. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price. I understand the animals have needs and I love that they rehabilitate a lot of them. But, it was $300 for 3 adults and 2 children. We stayed 2 hours but we missed an entire side, so I recommend getting there no later than 2.

My experience at the Texas State Aquarium with my family was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly staff, breathtaking exhibits, and an atmosphere full of excitement and wonder. The interactive displays kept our kids engaged the entire time, and the variety of marine life — from dolphins and sea turtles to sharks and stingrays — was incredible to see up close. The entire facility was clean, well-organized, and perfect for a full day of fun and learning. It was a memorable family outing that we’ll be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend it for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the ocean without leaving Texas!

The aquarium has beautiful tanks filled with happy critters. The birds are beautiful and the layout of well thought out. The staff genuinely seem to love what they do. Like most large aquariums it’s not an inexpensive day, but certainly worth the time and effort to see.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the aquarium, which proved to be a fantastic way to spend our day. The aquarium provided a vast amount of information on various species and offered numerous attractions. The dolphin show was truly spectacular, and the facility offered a range of food and drink options, as well as clean, well-designed bathrooms, making it perfect for families.

We enjoyed our time here. The layout was really nice. Lots to see. Kids had fun. Our only thing was we thought it was a little pricey to not included parking. Welcome to a tourist town I guess.

It was a great trip! We camped between mile marker 10 and 15. The water was great since it was warm and the temperature was definitely hot. Sand flies were prevalent in the morning and boy do they bite! The bug spray didn't seem to deter them so be prepared. Be prepared for wind a lot of the day. The only time it's really calm is in the early morning hours. The water is amazing and the best part is during the day. We hung around the shoreline and the wind was not a factor in our enjoyment at all. A FYI, free trash bags are provided by the park. Those yellow mesh bags at the bathrooms just before entering the seashore are so convenient! We deflated the tires on our Jeep like others suggested and it probably helped but I'm not sure it was needed since we saw lots of vehicles with no problems while driving with fully inflated tires. Pack lots of extra bug spray and keep a lookout for the yellow mesh trash bags.

My trip to Padre Island was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the endless stretch of pristine shoreline, soft white sand, and the calming sound of waves rolling in. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or outdoor adventure, Padre Island has something for everyone. I spent my mornings walking along the beach with the sunrise painting the sky in soft hues, and my afternoons swimming, paddleboarding, and even spotting dolphins not far from shore. The natural beauty of the island is perfectly preserved, especially at the Padre Island National Seashore — a must-visit if you enjoy untouched nature and wildlife. Local seafood spots were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and full of coastal charm. I was especially impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone was, from locals to fellow travelers. The atmosphere was laid-back but never boring. This place left a lasting impression on me. It’s the kind of destination that makes you want to extend your stay and already plan your return before you even leave. Highly recommended for families, couples, solo travelers — anyone who loves the ocean and a slower pace of life. Padre Island truly is a hidden gem on the Texas coast!

Wonderful! Nice to visit. I've so many fond memories of camping out here over 50 yrs ago as a child. Remote and private. Id love to camp out here again.

Beautiful but windy. So windy I can’t as getting sand out of my suv for the next 6 months! But quite otherwise..less and less people the further you go.

Such an underrated spot! It was peaceful and not packed on a holiday weekend. The walk to the beach isn’t bad and there’s a nice store with bathrooms at the parking lot. Be careful of the natural tar in the water and on the beach. It gets removed with oil or dish soap but my dog and myself both got splotches of it on us. I love this spot more than the other beaches in the area.

Entrance fee 25$ per car. Beautiful beaches, a few people. We swam at the Halloween weekend, but the water wasn’t that warm.

One of the best camping experiences. You just need the national park pass or pay the day/s fee, no reservation required. Make sure you have all wheel drive vehicle. Try to park towards the shore and not the dunes.

I was told to come here because it is supposedly better than Port Aransas beach. Boy, was that a mistake. This beach is located inside a park that you have to pay $10 for. Considering everyone gets charged, you would think the beach would be well maintained.. well, you'd be wrong. There was trash everywhere, broken glass getting in your tires is a risk as well. The water was dirty and brown compared to Port A (Considering they both are in the gulf, and Texas doesn't really have beaches like the east and west coast) plus at Port A, you pay $12 for an entire year vs $10 a day for a dirty and trashy beach. Oh, did I mention dead jellyfish and stingrays on shore? Yeah.. there were several of those. Definitely wouldn't wanna step on that, would you? Just go to Port A where the city actually takes care of it unlike the national park association with this beach. It was sad. Also, the only restrooms were at the beginning of the trail. Port A has them everywhere from the access road. While they "recommend" a 4x4 vehicle, a 2x4 vehicle with a smart driver will work as well. Just go slow and don't accelerate suddenly and you'll be fine.

Waves and water temperature perfect. Beach clean with outdoor showers available as well as restrooms and a gift shop. Nearest store/restaurant 13 miles northeast.

Always so gorgeous and lots of sea creatures to see. This trip we came across different types of jellyfish, a baby stingray, all sorts of fish, hermit crabs, ghost crabs and pretty sure a baby shark. There were also lots of cute little prairie dogs in the day and antlered deer at night! Cons: -One toilet in the ladies bathroom kept running even after they would fix it during cleaning time. -Camping spots did have some ant issues. -There wasn’t a camp hosting (we always look forward to meeting them). Due to their absence the deposit box was overflowing and people were randomly parking without reserving spots and rvs were parking in tent campsites.

Beautiful beach!!! This beach has private parking including disability areas and ramps, very clean restrooms, and private showers as well! Perfect for a relaxing day at the beach. Also note that the entrance fee was free for us because we got there a little after 6pm which was even a better trip! The fee is not as hefty as South Padre Island who no longer has private showers!!!

If you have pets, may want to wrap their paws before you walk them. A lot of thorny cockleburs that wreak havoc on their paws! Other than that, very beautiful natural beachfront with a lot of jellyfish and turtles.

This is an expansive botanical and wildlife center with mainly reptiles. There are walking paths to the wetlands on boardwalks with an elevated birding platform and a butterfly pavilion. The paths have a considerable amount of shade to make walking pleasant even in the heat of summer. Plenty of parking in front of the center. It’s also a part of the American Horticultural Society reciprocal admissions program if you are visiting.

Very cool place. One of the most beautiful in all of Corpus Christi. would highly recommend. they have some funny parrots and some large tortoise as well.

FREE ADMISSION every Friday in Nov.-Dec 2025. This place is a true gem nestled a few min from most of Corpus major attractions. We began our day here and lucky for us it was a free Friday admission day. The amount of plants both native and exotic was outstanding. I have been to several botanical gardens around the world, but I had never seen such a vast variety of orchids. I can say I am a new fan of orchids! The flower gardens were very well maintained and had a diverse amount of native flowers and insects. I was able to add a few new bugs to my iNaturalist and I would definitely go back and spend more time. Don't skip out the reptile room. The ladies that run it are true reptile lovers and I was informed that most of there reptiles are surrendered. I personally fell in love with the resident Indigo.

This was my first time going here. I was pleasantly surprised. For the harsh south Texas weather this place has all kinds of beautiful flowers with plentiful walking trails where you can experience the natural terrain and the indigenous wildlife that are abundant in this area. Very well kept and maintained. Lots of shaded places where you can sit a while and take a break from the hot Texas sun. Plus I got plenty of ideas how I can create my own little oasis at my own personal property. It's a must see.

Love them. They have literally miles of hiking trails (though I do recommend shoes better than flip flops like we wore, lol) and it's not just pretty flowers, which they have in abundance and I could spend time just on that, but they are also a true nature preserve for both flora and fauna. Truly something to experience for yourself

Beautiful garden, wonderful animal exhibits and a great early morning summer activity. While it was 90+ degrees we had lots of shady spots to stop and rest. Very kind and caring staff, and low cost for families.

I loved seeing all the different gardens. The birds and reptiles were fun, too. The tortoises were large. My favorite was the orchid house.

If you’re a Selena fan, the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi is an absolute must! Even if you just love music history, it’s worth every penny and the entrance fee is only $5 per person for an experience you won’t forget. Walking into Q-Productions, where Selena recorded so many of her hits, gives you instant chills. I even got to stand in the exact spot where she once sang, and also where JLo stood and wow, I felt like a part of her story. The highlight of my visit? Meeting her nephew! That made everything feel so personal and real. Everywhere you look, there’s something amazing: her sparkling stage outfits (yes, the purple jumpsuit!), Grammy awards, red Porsche, gold and platinum records, Fabergé egg collection, MAC make-up endorsement and walls covered with fan art and rare photos. Seeing all her achievements and knowing she passed away so young really tugs at your heart. You can feel how the whole world mourned her via letters and messages from fans everywhere show just how deeply loved she was. The museum is small, but that’s what makes it feel intimate and authentic. Walking through feels like stepping into the Quintanilla family’s memories. You leave inspired, emotional, and humming “bidi bidi bom bom,” celebrating the life and legacy of the Queen of Tejano Music. 💜✨

My mom and I have been planning this trip to see the Selena Museum since I was 10 years old, and now in 2025 we finally made it! Selena Quintanilla Perez has always been a childhood icon of mine. She passed away when I was 4 years old, and at the time I did not understand what happened, but I saw millions of People in my hometown of San Francisco lighting a vigil for her, and carrying her photo. As I got older I understood more about her life and how much her music inspired me and my love for singing and performing. Coming to the Selena museum was an amazing journey and one that will always hold a special place in my heart. I also got to meet her father A.B Quintanilla in the office studio of the museum. The museum itself was remarkable and exhibited all of Selena’s life through photos, clothing, memorabilia and her famous 1980s Porsche car! This place is truly an amazing experience and one everyone who is a fan must visit. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of fans forever and will continue to do so. She may be gone, but never forgotten!

Great experience. Tour was good information and museum is a time capsule. It transports you to 1995 for sure. So much memorabilia. Took a ton of pictures. Just missed seeing Suzette and Mr and Mrs Q. Glad they are keeping her memory alive for future generations. Such a loss for us all. She would have gone on to soo much more.

I was a Jehovah’s Witness when she passed, so I felt a connection to her and her family through our shared faith. Now, with a more spiritual perspective, I understand her impact in a deeper way. Selena left behind more than music or memories. She left behind a feeling—a kind of inner strength, joy, and purity—that we can still connect to within ourselves. The museum is simple and respectful, filled with love. I’m grateful I visited. It reminded me that even brief lives can leave something eternal.

Awesome experience! My wife introduced me to Selena, and her music & background. We watched the series about her together before making a trip to visit here. It was amazing to see the studio where she had actually stood and recorded for a short time. It was humbling to see the 100’s of awards throughout the showroom area, showcasing her extreme talent.

This was a super wonderful experience! I had to hold my emotions because Selena once stepped in here. Out of 9 songs she recorded at this location, “Dreaming of You” was the only one that came out. And meeting Abraham was epic!

My 2nd time to visit since 2017. Loved it. I met selena mom, suzette husband and Ricky vela! They were super nice! I always wanted to take a picture and say hi to Selena mom. She was very sweet.

My granddaughter and I met some friends at the beautiful Whataburger Field for Kingsville Day and had the Best time! We had great seats for a great price and we were very entertained with the ballgame and all the activities and food. We look forward to attending another game very soon!

Great experience, we had great seats right by the dugout. Going to different baseball games and fields's is something I've always enjoyed ever since I was little.

Hey Batter batter..... SsWwingG!! Up from SPI 2hr drive, completely different Texas. This ball field is fantastic. Clean, well organized, plenty of food and drink options at a very reasonable price! Every single employee and volunteer was extremely polite and professional. The facilities are well-maintained and easy to navigate. The field is ADA-compliant as well. Will come back for sure. My only complaint is, I didn't hear one Bell from ACDC Hells Bells. Really??? Plotted. Scouts Out..

Great minor league ballpark! Seats are pretty inexpensive. Plenty of food options especially Whataburger inside the park! No combos just a la carte. I ordered a burger & fries & bought a souvenir cup for free refills. Entertainment between innings was fun. Sitting left field has sun behind you & right field facing sun.

If you have nit been to Whataburger field, you are missing out. As a child I didn't have the experience of going to a game. But you best believe I'm doing it for my kids. This place helps to make memories with your family and friends. Check it out.

We loved the interactive features for the kids, the little planetarium and each exhibition. There's something for everyone to enjoy. We will go again whenever we can.

My almost 3 year old and I had a blast. There was plenty to see and we were there for about an hour and half.

Second time visiting this place. Hasn't changed since the last time but my daughter was younger back then. She wanted to visit and see it again now that she's older. As before, she enjoyed the exhibits and interacting with the hands on exhibits as well. Highly recommend for families with children.

Very cool place, lots of things to look at but staff is very rude. Was rude and seemed like no one wanted us to be there. Was told 3 times when they close and followed us around at times checking on us to see when we were leaving. More than 30 min left telling us they close. If you dont want people here up until 5pm, chamge your hours to accommodate that or stop letting people in. We came at like 3:30 and felt rushed almost the entire time

This a very well laid out, comprehensive, and interesting museum. The primary areas are: Spanish & French exploration, rocks & gems, fossils, Kenedy ranch family history & possessions, and local history. There were many relics from old Spanish sailing vessels . We read most everything, and were there about four hours. Gave a different perspective on European exploration and all the treasure that were brought back to Europe.

This is a really nice memorial of Selena. There were a lot of people in the area taking photos. There’s a few parking spots there. You can get out and walk the area

Hello, going to Corpus Christi and seeing it yesterday it was not really nice and fun and didn’t even really have to do with money or anything like that. It was just for the fact of getting out of the house and going and seeing something and never seen before. That’s what it’s really fun about things you don’t have to have money to go enjoy things in life not all the time.

The Selena Memorial was beautiful. It was a lovely walk from The Omni Hotel that I stayed at while in Corpus Christi. Definitely a nice stop to enjoy a bit of her beauty. She was a beautiful soul and I love how she was memorialized on the bay.

The Mirador de la Flor (Overlook of the Flower) is a touching tribute to the famous Corpus Christi Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez. It is located by the Selena Memorial Statue on the Corpus Christi Bayfront Seawall. The monument was unveiled in 1997 and it honors Selena's musical legacy and contributions to Corpus Christi. The monument features a motif of white roses (Selena's favorite flower) and a memorial plaque describing the monument's importance. We visited there during our trip to Corpus Christi. For parking, there is a lot of parking zone around the memorial, but it gets filled since it is a very popular tourist attraction. We parked just beside the Norma Urban park. A must-see for Selena fans and anyone seeking to appreciate Corpus Christi's heritage.

What a very very sad story on Salena. What a beautiful talented young lady. This is a beautiful memorial in her honor. There where a lot of people paying their respects and taking pictures.

It has Selena's music playing in birth English and Spanish - such a terrible loss, but she will always be remembered.

North Beach is a nice beach. It’s close to USS Lexington museum and Texas State Aquarium. There are a few ways to access the beach: 1. Drive on the sand and find a parking spot with direct access to North Beach (which is what my family chose)… although it will be a rough ride due to the huge mounds in the sand 2. Park near the museum or aquarium for $5 and walk to the beach after you visit the other attractions 3. Street parking (pay via meter) 4. Book a hotel or rental home with direct access to the beach (there are many) Jellyfish ruined our beach day (my toddler almost touched one and there are no signs posted) Bring your own tents and chairs. There is a cute shop nearby with reasonably priced beach items in case you forget. Bring your cooler and snacks. There are food trucks posted at the beach if you forget that too. I would definitely visit again! But I’d prepare a little more so we’d have a better experience.

Really enjoyed the constant breeze here! The beach was quiet and there was plenty of room to post up with my chair and music... Even have a couple of cocktails with my sweetheart! Waking distance from our condo and simply wonderful to watch the tugboats and carriers come in and out of the bay. Wonderful time there☺️!

Don't waste your time going here. I honestly don't get the appeal of going here. Is it because it is free? Construction all around so took awhile to get to. The sand is filled with seaweed, rocks and broken sea shells, they have no bathrooms or showers, and the parking is very small and in a dirt lot with holes that make it hard to drive around. The water was impossible to enjoy. The waves were massive and pounding against you and knocking you over. Within a matter of a few feet from shore you are in water up to your chest. Hundreds of jellyfish also around. My kids were scared to swim there because of all the jellyfish and huge waves. Was disappointed that the other reviews suggested this beach. We drove a few miles away to the Island and the beaches over there are a night and day difference. The sand there is gorgeous and soft. The water is crystal clear and can walk a hundred yards out and still be touching. Didn't see any jellyfish on the Island. Can drive right onto beach and eat, drink, camp and have fires. Also have adequate bathrooms and showers on the Island. It's worth the extra time and $12 permit to go to the beaches on the Island.

We really enjoyed this beach! Great parking, just feet from the water! It was a Thursday, so it wasn't too crowded. It is a great place to spend family time. Also, the hotels near the beach are very reasonable! ☀️

The jellyfish were so bad we didn't even get in. At one point I counted 7 jellyfish close to shore. Jellyfish were washing up on the beach. We used a cup to put several back in before we left.

Beautiful beach — very relaxing and conveniently close to the USS Lexington. We really enjoyed the time and the view here. The late evening or early morning hours are the best times to visit for a peaceful experience.

Very nice venue with great sound & lighting, comfy seats. Problems: it was miserably freezing cold the entire time (about 5 hours); wet slippery floor under our seats when we arrived; you expect overpriced food/drinks, but seriously $8 pretzels with no salt and only one mustard dispenser in the building. Parking: folks directing cars into a gravel lot; no signs whatsoever about cost, and the guy says $20 cash or cash app, no credit cards. Wasn't about to do that, left the lot and found a free parking space on the street. Guys!! If the parking cost is legitimate, PLEASE post a sign about the cost before driving into the lot! The show was Joshua Ray Walker & Gary Allen opening for Dwight Yoakum. ❤️❤️

This is the Watergarden area near ABC. It's a really cool place to see, especially at night or just before dark. It has great views of the old and new Harbour Bridges pictured.

Great location for a large conference! Clean, open, comfortable. Only negative are the restrooms. Very small.

We ordered tickets for the Boardway series. The process of having to pick up the tickets in person is inconvenient. We have been to shows on Broadway in NYC and they email the tickets with a barcode. They stated that were other things aside from the paper tickets. If they are making the subscription a positive thing why was items not mailed the items with a map since the building is large. We also asked if we were able to bring in juice boxes for a Diabetic and was told they think so. I would have given them a no star review. When dealing with the box office they should be able to answer questions like is there valet parking and this is what it cost. Not I think so. We are requesting a full refund because if this is how they treat you before you even go to the show how are they going to treat you in person.

This was our first time at a CC hockey game, and we had a great time! Tickets are affordable. We sat right behind the penalty box! Be sure to eat before going. Food amd snacks are way too expensive, especially if you have a family.

Concert changed venue a couple of days before show and did not allow refunds! The seats we had before were not honored properly before the venue change. Would not recommend going to a concert at this venue, save your money for somewhere else. Update: they refunded but if this change never happened In the first place I would’ve liked to see the show. Hopefully they handle events better in the future.

10/3/25 Went to the Selena auditorium that sits next to the Hilliard center. It was a nice environment with friendly staff.

Came here with my husband as part of our anniversary trip. Spent the day there. Haven't been to any other Schlitterbahn's so I can't compare, but I've been to other water parks across the country. We felt like it wasn't inappropriately priced for what it was, liked the free parking and tube usage. Could never find info about the tubes online. So it IS free to use the tubes. They have small and large lockers available. If you've got more than 2 people, you'll need a large locker. Exact cash or credit is accepted for the lockers. I personally feel that water shoes need to be mandatory and I don't have wimpy feet. The first couple hours the pavement from attraction to attraction was fine, then it got REALLY hot. Naturally you can't run, so it's like this living room home game of hot lava running to patches of shade, grass, or water so your feet don't die. We eventually put our flip flops back on and would just carry them in our laps when in a tube. They are totally fine with coolers and lunches so, feel free to bring that!. Our bag lunch fit in with our stuff in the locker, so you might need someone to sit with your cooler if you bring one of those. We went on a Monday in July and it was NOT busy at all. It's a very chill park. Not a lot of ride rides. I think their biggest thing are the various lazy river paths. We loved the ocean wave/rapids circle at the back end of the park. That was a lot of fun and went many many times around. I would be very cautious of bringing kids younger than 5 or 6 to that run because you do get some serious waves in there. Hope all this helps!

Some people are very hard to please! My two daughters and I had a great time. Clean, above average staff (although 90% are very young people), good ratio of staff to guests, alcohol easily available, pretty good food selection (the food is not the main reason why you went!) not even close to crowded. (We went on a Friday in mid July) The front desk was somewhat worthless, again young people who can't deviate to handle a specific situation.. had to call their manager (young kid) who did handle by using common sense. We will definitely go again and do recommend. As long as you don't think this is some super high dollar super fancy going-to-make-top 10-in the world-type place. We are locals so for this little town of CC, Tx it's pretty damn good. Also helps that it's in a part of town which really nobody travels to unless you're going fishing or to the beach... kind of isolated. Relatively speaking I could give it a 5 for my experience but I don't because there's always room for improvement. Or maybe me and the family just look at the brighter side of things I guess.

Our family always has a great time here. I do feel the tickets are a bit over priced for the attractions that are available. That being said, we have always found the park clean, short wait time for attractions, staff helpful, and plenty to do for our whole family. The free parking and convenience of bringing your own food offsets the cost for us. Hopefully if others will give this place a chance it can be successful and be fully developed into something that can help tourism in the coastal bend.

Don’t forget to take water shoes! I’ve been to the one in south padre island, and was disappointed to know that the lazy river did not connect to all the rides, like the one in s.p.i. We had to get out, and walk to the second ride they had at the park. (There are only 2 big ride attractions) we didn’t have our shoes so walking through the hot cement really bring down our time. This park is a lot smaller than the other Schlitterbahns we have been too, yet still the same price. So was not very convenient. We went through the entire park in 2 hours being there. We still did have a great time there. The floating bar they have there was really great. Good drinks! They don’t have changing rooms or showers to change when finished, but all in all we still had fun. I feel like this park was catered more for smaller kids. Life Guards were very nice as well as bartenders!

This park is a 'work in progress.' We enjoyed our time there and staff at the park was very friendly. Food was good at the restaurant, but was a bit pricey (we had breakfast, lunch & dinner). Waitresses were extremely nice and friendly! Hotel room was big and loved our view from the balcony, but the room isn't complete with some simple amenities (i.e. No hair dryer, no phone,etc). Bed was SO comfortable and pillows were great! There is a fridge and microwave in the room. Hotel staff was friendly and very attentive. There is still construction going on (they are adding another bar in the hotel ), and not all of the rides are finished. It wasn't crowded at all and we loved that aspect of it! It was perfect for our family of younger children (6 yr old & under). Golf course was also very expensive-you can rent a bag, but no golf balls included-have to pay extra for those (that was a bit much). We enjoyed our stay & look forward to going back when it's completed. Hopefully, prices don't inflate when they open more rides, and when more of the resort is complete.

1st night we checked in, staff was amazing. Our toilet got clogged and Unfortunately they did not have another room that would accommodate us so they opened a room just so we could use that bathroom. Second day we are at the restaurant and pd 175.00 for food that was not worth the money. Supposed cooked good was still frozen. But again the staff has been amazing. The water park was good for my younger kids but they didn't have enough for entertainment for my older ones. There are 3 slides and they all require tubes. Over all my kids rated it a 5 but as a parent I would say 4

This water park is better for younger kids. I have teens so the water park is rather small. However we made the best of it. The rooms were very clean and updated. I love how the back door leads to a huge balcony that overlooks the water park. The staff were nice and attentive.

While we were visiting Corpus Christi, we came across the art museum, it was a building showcasing some local talent, and art pieces from abroad. We had a great time learning about the history of the city. The art pieces were unique and did represent the south Texas and it culture. So if your looking for something to do then this is your place to sight see for easily over an hour.

This gorgeous space was designed by architect Philip Johnson and is a lovely environment to experience art. The building really harmonizes with its location on the waters edge of Corpus Christi Bay. Although the museum seems to be dedicated primarily to contemporary art, there is a small but very high quality permanent collection of Spanish Colonial art.

I've been to this museum several times over the years. My last visit was sometime back. The museum is very nice and the art exhibits are always interesting to look at. If you're in the area, take a break from the beach one day and check this museum out. You won't be disappointed.

Great deal! $10 for a good chunk of art, SUPER reasonably priced stuff in the gift shop. I was surprised and grateful that the souvenirs were affordable. The staff was really friendly. The place was wheelchair accessible, except the 3rd floor which had loose carpet that made it a little harder to wheel around and a narrow walkway around the conference tables. The wheelchairs they provide for patrons were also unusually narrow so I'd recommend bringing your own or calling ahead to see if they've remedied that if you are large and need to borrow a chair.

The Art Museum of South Texas, in Corpus Christi had their Third Thursday event and we decided to go. A smallish museum it is full of beautiful works of art. Was an enjoyable event.

Small but beautifully curated museum – great lighting, thoughtful layout, and stunning ocean Definitely worth spending 1–2 hours to enjoy the art and the vibe.

Beautiful place, a bit small when compared to other cities art museums. But definitely a plus when you have other museums within walking distance.

Easy to find. Hard to get into. The entrance is not the street front but by the parking lot in the back. But has awesome stuff. Lots of history. Totally free. Its small but lots to read lol. Staff totally friendly. And even the dog! It is surrounded by restaurants and little shops so there is other stuff to do once your out.

Before dining at Water Street Oyster Bar drop in for a look around at this quaint little museum right next door. Admission is free! The close at 7:00 pm so you probably to see this before dining. The staff seems really dedicated.Check it out.

I loved this place. So much memorabilia. We learned a lot about Pat Magee and Mike. The staff was super nice and informative about the beach area and where to see the real waves at.

Very cool people and although the museum is small, it is worth leaving a small donation to enjoy viewing old surfing boards and learning a bit about surfing in the meanwhile

This place made me wish I knew how to surf and that I was 25 again! It was really cool! Bought a shirt and going to go back and buy another one! Gavin helped me along with his dog Hennessey! They both rocked!
