Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Texas State Aquarium is a top-notch destination for exploring the diverse marine life of the region. With 18 exhibits showcasing a wide array of sea creatures, visitors can marvel at everything from enormous fish tanks housing global species to recreated habitats like Swamp Tales and Tortuga Cay. The aquarium also offers live shows featuring well-trained dolphins demonstrating impressive tricks and stunts, as well as entertaining bird performances.
A must visit!!! Our whole family loved this. It was a great way to entertain everyone and stay cool during the day. They had plenty of food and drink options, so much to see, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The cost is completely worth the visit. Our favorite part was definitely the dolphins! They were lively and seemed happy. All the animals were well kept and they had so many eels to see (my personal favorite).
Kelsie P — Google review
This was such an amazing visit! It is a bit on the pricy side (+$7 parking) but it’s worth it since the money goes to help the rescue and animals! I went during a weekday so it wasn’t packed at all. I was only planning on staying for an hour or two and ended up staying until close. I was able to catch the dolphin show at 3pm, which was magnificent!! The water is beautiful from there. They have swings where you can relax and watch the water or the USS Lexington, which is right next door! The aquarium itself has so many cool fish and staff who truly love their job! They are attentive and informative! I loved my visit here and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting!
Neil D — Google review
Beautiful way to spend a very hot day. I'm a total aquarium nerd, and this was a treat! Lots of good info on the various species. Animals are healthy and happy. The dolphin show was so cute, you can tell they are having a blast!
Kym H — Google review
Absolutely loved the dolphins show! Also, the otters are so fun to watch. Very interesting and informative. My grandchildren enjoyed everything. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price. I understand the animals have needs and I love that they rehabilitate a lot of them. But, it was $300 for 3 adults and 2 children. We stayed 2 hours but we missed an entire side, so I recommend getting there no later than 2.

My experience at the Texas State Aquarium with my family was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly staff, breathtaking exhibits, and an atmosphere full of excitement and wonder. The interactive displays kept our kids engaged the entire time, and the variety of marine life — from dolphins and sea turtles to sharks and stingrays — was incredible to see up close. The entire facility was clean, well-organized, and perfect for a full day of fun and learning. It was a memorable family outing that we’ll be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend it for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the ocean without leaving Texas!
Ivory W — Google review
The aquarium has beautiful tanks filled with happy critters. The birds are beautiful and the layout of well thought out. The staff genuinely seem to love what they do. Like most large aquariums it’s not an inexpensive day, but certainly worth the time and effort to see.
Genie H — Google review
We had an absolutely amazing time at the aquarium, which proved to be a fantastic way to spend our day. The aquarium provided a vast amount of information on various species and offered numerous attractions. The dolphin show was truly spectacular, and the facility offered a range of food and drink options, as well as clean, well-designed bathrooms, making it perfect for families.

We enjoyed our time here. The layout was really nice. Lots to see. Kids had fun. Our only thing was we thought it was a little pricey to not included parking. Welcome to a tourist town I guess.

The USS Lexington, also known as The Blue Ghost, is a renowned WWII aircraft carrier and naval museum located in Corpus Christi. Commissioned in 1943, it played a significant role in the Pacific War during World War II. In 1992, it was transformed into a naval aviation museum to educate the public about its historical significance and its contributions to national defense.
This was a great experience with so much to see! We went in during the month of July. While some parts are air conditioned, other areas can be pretty warm, so dress accordingly. Admission was very fair considering the amount of time that was spent here and the variety of exhibits. They do have a decent concession area, as well as a few vending machines with drinks spread across the main deck. The photo ops were super fun for the kids, and there are many resting points throughout the tours, too! Definitely worth checking out if you need something to do in Corpus Christi!

Visiting the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi was an unforgettable experience. The ship is massive and full of history, with well-preserved exhibits and interactive sections. One of the highlights was meeting Richard in the engine room he took the time to explain how the carrier operated and shared fascinating personal anecdotes. Talking with him truly brought the ship to life and made the visit even more special. If you're in the area, don’t miss this piece of naval history and the chance to meet passionate people like Richard.
Arthur J — Google review
Definitely a must to go see, but plan most of the day if you want to see it all, it's a big ship. They have bathrooms, cafeteria, a movie theater and a gift shop of course. Best if you don't go during the heat of the summer, not many cool spots. But if you don't mind sweating go ahead, they do have a little cooler spots here and there. Fun for the whole family and a big part of history.
Darren L — Google review
My kids enjoyed the tour ages 16 and 11. The tour took about 2 hrs. It’s self guided. In a world where kids are glued to their phones and social media it captured their attention. I do not recommend this tour for toddlers, heels, dressy clothing or people with walking restrictions. Their is a lot of climbing (ladder style stairs). Dont forget to take your free picture, it cost $35 for the print out but the digital versions using the QR code are free. Parking was $5 directly across the street. It’s so much to do in the area so bring beach stuff, strollers etc to enjoy the day in the surrounding area.

Came here spur of the moment. And really enjoyed it. This one lasted us half a day and we didn't finish looking at everything. There is so much to do and see. The crew is friendly the place is neat. There are some areas where you can spot hints of the past. The renovated and up kept areas of the ship suddenly contrasted by the subtle reminders that yes, this ship did see war, fought in battles, and has aged. Love it. Highly recommend this spot for a visit if your a military buff.
Lord M — Google review
Very interesting self-guided tour. Can catch a free cart ride up the gangway. The steps are steep and narrow to the different levels so wear good shoes if going.
Marci B — Google review
Went here a few weeks ago. Kid friendly. This place was absolutely amazing. They have 5 different tours to choose from and they explain everything about the ship, to the crew, the historical aspects, military honor, they even have a section on here about Pearl Harbor. Be prepared to learn about the history. If you want to get your steps in for the day, this is the place. Spent 5 hours here and walked over 10K steps. Highly recommend this for a day trip.
Scott S — Google review
Great experience! There is a lot to learn not only about this ship, but a few others as well as about the crews that lived aboard. Note that while walking through the below decks, there are a few rooms that are very cold, which I would think would be a good break in between on the hotter days. It does take a good amount of time to walk and to listen/read everything.

Nestled in the vibrant S.E.A. District of Corpus Christi, the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History is a treasure trove for those eager to delve into the region's rich tapestry of history, culture, and science. Spanning nearly 100,000 square feet, this expansive museum offers an array of permanent and special exhibits that cater to all ages.
Great museum! There's lots to see as an adult, including minerals, shells, birds, and a historic ship wreck. There is plenty to keep the young entertained and provide exposure to science. A large climbing tower seems to be the favorite. Outside, there are several pieces of playground equipment as well as percussion musical stations. We went in November 2024, and there was no fee to enter. I was told it would be like that for all of November and December. The parking lot is just a short walk away from the entrance to the ship channel. Great place to see the Lexington from a distance and see incoming ships.

Cool off on a Hot afternoon learning about local history! HEB play area with slide and interactive areas. Western sidewalk and Buc Days Dresses! Mineral & Shipping History. Kids loved it!

We loved the interactive features for the kids, the little planetarium and each exhibition. There's something for everyone to enjoy. We will go again whenever we can.

Second time visiting this place. Hasn't changed since the last time but my daughter was younger back then. She wanted to visit and see it again now that she's older. As before, she enjoyed the exhibits and interacting with the hands on exhibits as well. Highly recommend for families with children.
Rudy T — Google review
Very cool place, lots of things to look at but staff is very rude. Was rude and seemed like no one wanted us to be there. Was told 3 times when they close and followed us around at times checking on us to see when we were leaving. More than 30 min left telling us they close. If you dont want people here up until 5pm, chamge your hours to accommodate that or stop letting people in. We came at like 3:30 and felt rushed almost the entire time
Brandon W — Google review
This a very well laid out, comprehensive, and interesting museum. The primary areas are: Spanish & French exploration, rocks & gems, fossils, Kenedy ranch family history & possessions, and local history. There were many relics from old Spanish sailing vessels . We read most everything, and were there about four hours. Gave a different perspective on European exploration and all the treasure that were brought back to Europe.

The Art Museum of South Texas (AMST) is a vital part of the Corpus Christi arts community, located along North Shoreline Boulevard with stunning views of Corpus Christi Bay. The museum houses over 1,900 permanent works including regional fine art, photography, and crafts. Visitors can explore diverse art forms such as paintings, photographs, sculptures, glasswork, ceramics, and large installations that showcase the rich artistic heritage of the Americas and Texas region.
We loved it. It was our first time to visit despite living here all our lives. The art was beautiful and the atmosphere was calming. We will definitely go again. There were even a few pieces by Picasso.
Leslie R — Google review
While we were visiting Corpus Christi, we came across the art museum, it was a building showcasing some local talent, and art pieces from abroad. We had a great time learning about the history of the city. The art pieces were unique and did represent the south Texas and it culture. So if your looking for something to do then this is your place to sight see for easily over an hour.
Abraham M — Google review
This gorgeous space was designed by architect Philip Johnson and is a lovely environment to experience art. The building really harmonizes with its location on the waters edge of Corpus Christi Bay. Although the museum seems to be dedicated primarily to contemporary art, there is a small but very high quality permanent collection of Spanish Colonial art.
Susanna G — Google review
I've been to this museum several times over the years. My last visit was sometime back. The museum is very nice and the art exhibits are always interesting to look at. If you're in the area, take a break from the beach one day and check this museum out. You won't be disappointed.
Carina J — Google review
Great deal! $10 for a good chunk of art, SUPER reasonably priced stuff in the gift shop. I was surprised and grateful that the souvenirs were affordable. The staff was really friendly. The place was wheelchair accessible, except the 3rd floor which had loose carpet that made it a little harder to wheel around and a narrow walkway around the conference tables. The wheelchairs they provide for patrons were also unusually narrow so I'd recommend bringing your own or calling ahead to see if they've remedied that if you are large and need to borrow a chair.

The Art Museum of South Texas, in Corpus Christi had their Third Thursday event and we decided to go. A smallish museum it is full of beautiful works of art. Was an enjoyable event.

The South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center is a vast educational facility showcasing a diverse range of plant and animal life. Visitors can participate in classes and guided tours to learn more about the local flora and fauna. In addition to this attraction, the area offers other points of interest such as the Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens, Hans and Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge, Redfish Bay for fishing enthusiasts, and the nearby Pharaoh's golf course.
We enjoyed our visit. The orchids and butterfly house are beautiful. There is a small reptiles/animal area, the staff is very friendly and you can hold one of the snakes if you want. There is a small loop trail that we enjoyed and a longer trail which we did not have time for. The location is not huge, but it is definitely worth the visit. Our only disappointment was there is a miltary discount ticket price listed but when we asked for it as a retired Army family we were informed it is only for active duty military. However, even at full price $10 is worth it.
Leslie H — Google review
This is an expansive botanical and wildlife center with mainly reptiles. There are walking paths to the wetlands on boardwalks with an elevated birding platform and a butterfly pavilion. The paths have a considerable amount of shade to make walking pleasant even in the heat of summer. Plenty of parking in front of the center. It’s also a part of the American Horticultural Society reciprocal admissions program if you are visiting.

Very cool place. One of the most beautiful in all of Corpus Christi. would highly recommend. they have some funny parrots and some large tortoise as well.
Jacob G — Google review
FREE ADMISSION every Friday in Nov.-Dec 2025. This place is a true gem nestled a few min from most of Corpus major attractions. We began our day here and lucky for us it was a free Friday admission day. The amount of plants both native and exotic was outstanding. I have been to several botanical gardens around the world, but I had never seen such a vast variety of orchids. I can say I am a new fan of orchids! The flower gardens were very well maintained and had a diverse amount of native flowers and insects. I was able to add a few new bugs to my iNaturalist and I would definitely go back and spend more time. Don't skip out the reptile room. The ladies that run it are true reptile lovers and I was informed that most of there reptiles are surrendered. I personally fell in love with the resident Indigo.
Ricardo M — Google review
This was my first time going here. I was pleasantly surprised. For the harsh south Texas weather this place has all kinds of beautiful flowers with plentiful walking trails where you can experience the natural terrain and the indigenous wildlife that are abundant in this area. Very well kept and maintained. Lots of shaded places where you can sit a while and take a break from the hot Texas sun. Plus I got plenty of ideas how I can create my own little oasis at my own personal property. It's a must see.
Marco C — Google review
Love them. They have literally miles of hiking trails (though I do recommend shoes better than flip flops like we wore, lol) and it's not just pretty flowers, which they have in abundance and I could spend time just on that, but they are also a true nature preserve for both flora and fauna. Truly something to experience for yourself
Gary W — Google review
Beautiful garden, wonderful animal exhibits and a great early morning summer activity. While it was 90+ degrees we had lots of shady spots to stop and rest. Very kind and caring staff, and low cost for families.

The Selena Museum, located in Corpus Christi, is a touching tribute to the iconic Tejano music sensation, Selena Quintanilla-Perez. This intimate memorial showcases an extensive collection of her awards, stage costumes, personal belongings, and photographs that trace her remarkable career. The museum is situated at Selena's former recording studio and offers fans a poignant look into the life of the beloved Queen of Tejano Music.
My wife and I had an amazing experience here. We love Selena so much and finally had the opportunity to go to her museum. This place is incredible first we met her dad and mom and they took us into her Recording studio we had the opportunity to be in there for a bit and then we had the chance to walk though the whole museum I know it brought my wife back when she was a little girl watching Selena and hearing her music back then. This place is incredible I love her legacy still lives
Kendall B — Google review
If you’re a Selena fan, the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi is an absolute must! Even if you just love music history, it’s worth every penny and the entrance fee is only $5 per person for an experience you won’t forget. Walking into Q-Productions, where Selena recorded so many of her hits, gives you instant chills. I even got to stand in the exact spot where she once sang, and also where JLo stood and wow, I felt like a part of her story. The highlight of my visit? Meeting her nephew! That made everything feel so personal and real. Everywhere you look, there’s something amazing: her sparkling stage outfits (yes, the purple jumpsuit!), Grammy awards, red Porsche, gold and platinum records, Fabergé egg collection, MAC make-up endorsement and walls covered with fan art and rare photos. Seeing all her achievements and knowing she passed away so young really tugs at your heart. You can feel how the whole world mourned her via letters and messages from fans everywhere show just how deeply loved she was. The museum is small, but that’s what makes it feel intimate and authentic. Walking through feels like stepping into the Quintanilla family’s memories. You leave inspired, emotional, and humming “bidi bidi bom bom,” celebrating the life and legacy of the Queen of Tejano Music. 💜✨

My mom and I have been planning this trip to see the Selena Museum since I was 10 years old, and now in 2025 we finally made it! Selena Quintanilla Perez has always been a childhood icon of mine. She passed away when I was 4 years old, and at the time I did not understand what happened, but I saw millions of People in my hometown of San Francisco lighting a vigil for her, and carrying her photo. As I got older I understood more about her life and how much her music inspired me and my love for singing and performing. Coming to the Selena museum was an amazing journey and one that will always hold a special place in my heart. I also got to meet her father A.B Quintanilla in the office studio of the museum. The museum itself was remarkable and exhibited all of Selena’s life through photos, clothing, memorabilia and her famous 1980s Porsche car! This place is truly an amazing experience and one everyone who is a fan must visit. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of fans forever and will continue to do so. She may be gone, but never forgotten!
Marychase T — Google review
Great experience. Tour was good information and museum is a time capsule. It transports you to 1995 for sure. So much memorabilia. Took a ton of pictures. Just missed seeing Suzette and Mr and Mrs Q. Glad they are keeping her memory alive for future generations. Such a loss for us all. She would have gone on to soo much more.
Michael B — Google review
Visiting the Selena Museum was more than just learning about her life—it was about feeling her presence. She was a light who came for a short time, but her inspiration lingers. I was a Jehovah’s Witness when she passed, so I felt a connection to her and her family through our shared faith. Now, with a more spiritual perspective, I understand her impact in a deeper way. Selena left behind more than music or memories. She left behind a feeling—a kind of inner strength, joy, and purity—that we can still connect to within ourselves. The museum is simple and respectful, filled with love. I’m grateful I visited. It reminded me that even brief lives can leave something eternal.

Awesome experience! My wife introduced me to Selena, and her music & background. We watched the series about her together before making a trip to visit here. It was amazing to see the studio where she had actually stood and recorded for a short time. It was humbling to see the 100’s of awards throughout the showroom area, showcasing her extreme talent.
Isaac W — Google review
This was a super wonderful experience! I had to hold my emotions because Selena once stepped in here. Out of 9 songs she recorded at this location, “Dreaming of You” was the only one that came out. And meeting Abraham was epic!

Mustang Island State Park spans 3,954 acres and is a picturesque section of Gulf Coast land just a short drive from Corpus Christi. The park features gleaming white sand, light blue waters, and lush green dunes. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking, and camping in the 18-mile barrier island.
This is a great place to sit on the beach and enjoy the waves! You can drive your vehicle on the beach, so no having to carry all your beach gear a long ways. We have been here multiple times & we always love it. Don’t touch the pretty blue jellyfish that have washed up on shore! There are portable potty restrooms nearby (at the parking area for those who don't want to drive on the beach). There are also nice regular restrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off sand near the camping area, and restrooms at the park store.

Mustang Island State Park is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. We stayed at Site #3, which was easy to access and offered a great view — perfect for relaxing or enjoying a walk along the shore. The beach was clean, the water was clear, and the park was well maintained throughout. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was calm and family-friendly. A wonderful spot for a beach getaway.

Mustang Island State Park is a beautiful spot to enjoy the Texas coast! The beach access is excellent — it’s easy to get to the sand and the beaches themselves are wide, clean, and absolutely gorgeous. It’s a great place to relax, take a walk, or just enjoy the ocean breeze. The RV park, while convenient, is more of a parking lot setup than a traditional campground, so don’t expect much privacy or scenery there. However, the location makes up for it — it’s close to Corpus Christi, with plenty of restaurants and shopping just a short drive away. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to visit for the beaches and convenience, especially if you’re looking to explore the area.

Mustang Island State Park was incredible. Wow incredible views you can drive right on the beach and stay overnight in their primitive camping. Rebecca was an incredible host!! I ran into her in the parking lot scoping out the bathroom situation, and she pretty much gave me a tour; explained the payment system and showers, where to drive and park on the beach that was safest, and how to check the tides! She was so welcoming! I will be back for sure and look forward to enjoying this park again!!!!

We had a good time at the park. Rangers were super nice. But it is just a large parking lot. There is some grass. Watch out. for what site you get into?Because a lot of them are backwards for electricity and water. But overall, the beach was nice. And we had a good time.

The park is well maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Security patrols regularly on the beach. Portable toilets on the beach are also well maintained. Showers have warm water. Sometimes due to higher than normal tides, they have to close the beach to primitive camping. It's best to call ahead if you want a primitive campsite to make sure the beach is not closed.

A beautiful and peaceful beach that's clean and soft sand as far as the eye can see. The water is shallow enough you can walk way out into the bay and the crabs all over the beach are so cute!
Curtis M — Google review
Spent a day at this state park for the beach. Drove thru the camping area to check out for future camping. We tent camp and was happy to see it was grassed. It's a short walk to the beach on a very nice trail thru the dunes. There were around 6 covered picnic tables available on a first come basis and 1 large covered area that has to be reserved. The beach was amazing! The water was warm and clear with gental waves. The kids enjoyed body surfing, swimming, and hunting for hermit crabs. We saw hermit crabs , plenty of beach crabs, flocks of pelicans, small fish swimming in shallows, flying fish, diving white birds, annoying black birds, and seagulls. This beach was not crowded at all.

It offers a colorful and quirky exploration into the history and significance of surfing in Texas, featuring vintage surfboards, historic photos, and various memorabilia. The museum also aims to educate visitors on conservation practices to protect and preserve the Gulf Coast.
Small place. Friendly staff. There is a lot of history to read about here which was quite interesting. Good place to learn something new and their A/C works well too so it was a great way to get out of the heat for free.

Easy to find. Hard to get into. The entrance is not the street front but by the parking lot in the back. But has awesome stuff. Lots of history. Totally free. Its small but lots to read lol. Staff totally friendly. And even the dog! It is surrounded by restaurants and little shops so there is other stuff to do once your out.

Amusement park
Located in Port Avenue on Corpus Christis, Hurricane Alley Waterpark is packed with family-friendly activities such as a wave pool, lazy river, slides and thrill rides during peak season. The park has won awards and earned a status as one of Corpus Christis greatest family-friendly attractions.
Our family has been coming here for almost 10 years! The place has been well kept up and hasn't really aged at all. Everything was in working order except the wave pool which they were working on at the time. The lockers are easy to use with a smart phone and no keys to hold onto as the are all electronic. The bathroom was fairly clean and the paint was in decent shape. They didn't smell bad. I always review the restrooms as that is a good litmus test as to the establishments commitment to cleanliness and service. There were 7 of us and it only cost 92.00. Maybe because we showed up at 11:05 and if you get there early it is cheaper? Anyway, I was happy to not pay the $25/ticket. We stayed the whole day and my boys stayed on the wave surfer for hours! The teenagers managing the surf were a little inattentive but nice and respectful. Although the line did move a little slower as they took turns after every surfer to get a run in themselves. The food was delicious for a water park and reasonably priced even though there was not much selection. The corn dogs were huge and tasted good. Get there early to "claim" a table with an umbrella as there are no chairs in the shade, save the bungalow rentals, and those are expensive.
Joshua S — Google review
It's a small water park near the baseball field. You have to pay to park in the lot. There are no outside food or drinks allowed. I made sure to bring water shoes to protect my feet from the heat. There is only 5 slides, but the lady river makes the park enjoyable. I would like a slightly larger adult area but still had a good time. Will come back.

This waterpark is Amazing 👏🏼. This is our 3rd time going with my family. It is a 3 hour drive from where we live. We enjoy it to the max. The lazy river is our favorite. We can be there all day. Just relaxing! Can't wait to go again next year God willing.
Magaly V — Google review
I normally don’t leave bad reviews because I also run a business, but here’s my honest experience. We drove 2.5 hours to visit, bringing our 8-month-old’s float so he could enjoy the water. When we arrived, we were told we couldn’t use it. I understand safety rules, so that wasn’t a huge deal. The park itself is on the smaller side, which was fine—we still made the most of it and had some fun. The real disappointment was the food. We spent over $40 on lunch, and the quality was extremely poor—especially the pizza, I rather have Little Caesars. To top it off, my wife asked for a straw so our baby could drink some Gatorade from a straw, and they refused. I even went up to ask myself, and still got a “no.” That’s just unnecessary. If you’re not going to give them out, at least have them available with the utensils for people to grab if needed. Overall, we won’t be coming back and I can’t recommend it. If you do decide to visit, I’d strongly suggest bringing your own food and drinks.

We were visiting Corpus with our 7 year old grandson. The reviews we read were mixed. We decided that the price could not be beat, so took a chance. And boy, were we glad we did! We all had a blast. The facility was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and prices for food, lockers, etc were not bad. There were lines for some of the rides, but nothing that was too much of a wait. We ended up staying longer than we initially thought we would because we were all having fun - even the 65+ year old members of our party.
Jody B — Google review
This was a good choice to enjoy for the weekend. We stopped in July 4th a Friday, and it was only $20 a person, and weekends are $25. Plenty of lounge chairs available to rent. The water was clean. We spent most of the time in the kids' cove, but my 12 year old had fun in the giant slides. There are options to have a small group part and tables available if you're having food with the family.
Erin R — Google review
This is a pretty small waterpark, but the price is appropriate for the amount of activities that are included. They only really have about four decent slides and a decent lazy river. Things seem to be clean and in good working order for the most part. We had a good time generally speaking.
Joseph N — Google review
The manager literally chased me and my three kids down in 95-degree heat because we brought our own water bottles. What kind of “family establishment” denies children basic hydration during extreme weather? Completely hostile, unwelcoming, and the opposite of family-friendly.

The field is also close to Hurricane Alley, which features a surf simulator, wave pool, slides and rides, a restaurant and bar. Additionally, it hosts Dive In Movies during summer nights.
Even though it was a warm evening, the breeze made it pleasant to watch a ball game. Reasonable prices in a well constructed stadium. We went on a night with food promotions which were very budget friendly. Fun promotions. It was a great night.

Great minor league ballpark! Seats are pretty inexpensive. Plenty of food options especially Whataburger inside the park! No combos just a la carte. Nature preserve
The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center in Corpus Christi, TX is a 162-acre nature preserve aimed at educating visitors about the diverse plant and animal life of South Texas. The park features over 4 miles of nature viewing trails, providing an opportunity to observe native flora and fauna in their natural habitat. Additionally, the learning center offers valuable information about wetland conservation.
Has a small park for kids/toddlers, small educational center, trails with gravel, & an observatory look out over the bay. It's also a good place to bring your fur babies, but please keep dogs on a leash. Some dogs are reactive & not as social as others. Beautiful place to visit if you want some peace & quite✌️🐕‍🦺🌳🐍🦩🐦🐢

Amazing place to go birding. If you haven't used a bird identification app before, I recommend downloading the Merlin app, start a Sound ID recording while walking the trails, and watch all the birds that pop up on the found species list. My wife and I did this the last time we went and there were Painted Buntings all over the preserve. Most of them were out of sight but eventually we were able to find a couple.

Awesome place to visit and take the kids, an awesome experience for adults as well if you're into nature & science, amazing playground park and walking trails 👣
Donald L — Google review
Corpus Christi doesn't have many nature trails and definitely no shade, but this is a great family-friendly trail. Kids areas have shade and restrooms, but larger trails do not. There is a small story trail available for littles close to the picnic and playground areas and larger trails, about 2-5 miles, depending on your route. Parking areas are available inside and outside of the park, but check on the hours before considering parking inside.
Korinne C — Google review
Was a nice relatively short walk. Took my dog and he enjoyed the walk too. Saw a rattlesnake coiled up but was a small one.
Jim D — Google review
Often, parks are usually focused on just having more trees and trails, but this one includes many of the natural terrains of the area not often explored or highlighted. There are facilities and information for additional family fun exploring and some walking trails which you can finish the loop in about an hour of slow walking and stopping. There are areas for kids to play, well maintained bathrooms, and one member of staff there when I visited to answer questions. This park is a wonderful addition to many of the parks in the area. My only caution is to watch for ant hills along the gravel trails to make sure you don't step in or near one. Otherwise, this was a nice free location to walk around and see nature local to Corpus.
Marvin H — Google review
I love this place. It's well kept, and trails are maintained. At least there is some nature, native trees, and understory to see here. I try to keep an eye out for rattlesnakes and have seen a bobcat here. Being in nature has been such a needed antidote to workdays inside an office. So, the efforts made by staff here to keep the trails and surrounding area accessible and fairly clean are very much appreciated!!!

The Art Center of Corpus Christi is a vibrant hub for art and creativity in the Coastal Bend. Housed in a historic building that was once slated for demolition, the center now features multiple art studios, galleries, and an artist-owned shop. Visitors can explore seven galleries showcasing local and regional artists' works, shop for unique gifts, dine in-house, and even participate in art classes. The center also hosts a weekly farmers market and offers Family Art Time during the GROW Local Farmers Market.
Oh! My dear Loats Jesus. This is a wonderful place to visit. It has a restaurant to enjoy a great meal. Prices on the painting and crafts are at a great price. I took many pictures to enjoy watching. I will share with you all. I hope this helps. We did not have to pay for entrance. It was free. You will need to ask to make sure. Very nice people out there that are willing to help you out.

The Art Center is for artists to display, sell, and learn. It is free, with a simple box for donations. The current main display is the gowns from the Las Donas de la Corte event; usually only 3 weeks displayed. Small side galleries and hallways filled with ceramics, jewelry, inspired pieces and paintings. There is a wonderful, slightly pricey, restaurant connected to The Art Center; great drinks and very good food.

This is my second time to the art center. I definitely recommend when you are in corpus to check out this place. They have many art pieces raining and very surprises as little as seven dollars for some earrings up to several thousand dollars for art piece. I have gotten several small things, but I would say these coasters are my favorite. The food is phenomenal as well. The restaurant that is located inside.

This is our 2nd time visiting this place and we really enjoy it. There is a lot of neat art work for sale from local artists. It looks like they even have added event space and a restaraunt or cocktail bar in the building. This is definitely a unique location and its worth coming to check out from time to time.

Its so neat. It's a place that displays art . It also has resident artists that you may see working on their creations. You can also buy the art that you like. There is a restaurant inside also. The views of the marina are beautiful. And its free
Susana H — Google review
As a tourist attraction, the galleries at the art center are definitely worth a visit and there's no entrance fee if you choose to do so. This review is primarily for those interested in hosting an event or wedding in one of the available venue spaces. The art center is gorgeous and there are wonderful views in the Bay View room. I would be cautious recommending these venues primarily because the communication regarding rental coordination isn't the best. Other venues we reached out to when trying to get information usually provided us most of what we needed in the first couple of emails. In this case, it took several emails to get all of the needed information, as the coordinator would forget to provide certain documents, or answer questions that were asked. Due to the communication issues, we decided to go with a different venue, but it is a beautiful space.

So much amazing and local art here! We had the pleasure of visiting during the week and had the whole place to ourselves to enjoy. I’m not sure who the gentleman was at the front, but I really appreciate his mentality when we asked him how much the admission fee was and he plainly said something around the lines of, “It’s free. Art should always be free to enjoy”. Thank y’all for all the great art and for keeping it free for everyone to enjoy 😊 I believe you can also purchase some of art. We will definitely be back. Below are some of my favorite pieces of art!
Genesis R — Google review
I’ve been to the attached restaurant once at the behest of close friends who raved about it & my experience didn’t align with theirs. This is the second time I visited the gallery portion & found it really awe-inspiring, the unlimited heights of human creativity. Then I had to visit the Men’s room & both trips’ visits yielded disgust & disappointment. The seats of both stalls had feces all over toilets & seats & bowls/urinal almost overflowing with stale urine. This is enough to make me want to not return. I know it’s not easy with an open access facility & lots of transient foot traffic, homeless trespassers, etc, but this problem hardly seems new. I hope they do better going forward.

Nice theatre - not a bad seat in the house! Great show! (Hairspray). Very reasonably priced tickets at just over $20. Parking can be challenging, but additional parking can be found across the street. The concession out of control —too many items on the menu I think, and was closed-off about 15 minutes before showtime due to an extremely long line and the need to get patrons to their seats. Intermission was way too long—about 45 minutes—again, due to the concession I believe. The bathroom situation was adequate before the show but probably not the case during intermission which is not uncommon in small to mid-sized theatres. We got lost on the way thanks to gmaps not being correct due to all of the construction and we’re forced on a 20 minute detour ride across the long bridge to Portland and back. But all in all a good experience.

My mom and I got to finally see our first play here "Wizard of Oz" it was so beautiful! I even teared up a bit of how beautiful "Dorthy" sang "Over the Rainbow" I cant wait to come and see more plays. The cast was so friendly after the show! We got all their autographs and pictures with no complaint! We loved it! Only complaint it was kinda hot 😭 but I think it was because it was a packed house lol which was unexpected but amazing of how the community comes together !

Brilliant performance of Hairspray. Amazing these performers are from the community! And the playhouse is 100 years old! What a treasure. Comfortable seats, good acoustics, clean facilities. It does get warm in there so DON'T FORGET TO DRESS DOWN, wear lighter clothes. Get there early for parking, or do your homework of where and when you can park for free.

The place is small, but has been there 100 years this year! Which in itself is amazing. The play and cast were awesome. We saw Hairspray and hope to see more shows in the future. Get there early to park close or you can park across the street. If you want snacks or drink line gets long, so get there early. They do close for the play and reopen during intermission. The bathroom line also gets long. Best for childern who can sit and and understand what's going on.
Lady T — Google review
We have gone to see 2 plays here so far, and the actors and actresses are absolutely phenomenal! They have a good variety for concessions. My only complaints are the seating. There isn't enough of an incline with the seats to be able to see around the person in front of you without constantly having to move your head. And they're very close, tight fitting. There is hardly any room to move if you need to get up to let someone in or our and absolutely no room to put anything you buy from the concessions. But aside from the seating, everyone there is very friendly and the shows are amazing!
Deirdre K — Google review
The play was awesome but the chairs in the theatre are horrible. I’m a small woman and they are too small and uncomfortable. I won’t go back because of that .

It provides open-air dining right on the water, allowing guests to enjoy unobstructed sunset views over the bay. The complex has expanded to become an attraction for sun seekers, live music enthusiasts, and food lovers.
Lower your expectations of the look of your food and you'll be happier ☺️ Overall the crabcake salad was good but there was many 2 tiny artichoke pieces hidden amongst very boring ice burg lettuce. Hubby had Redfish that was tasty. The view was cool. There was no shade outside or fans. If they added that with misters, it would really be great. Next time Id try the fries or onion rings. Service was basically self serve with random 15 yr old busboys running around.

We had a very fun visit at this location! The food was good, but the breaded chicken tenders my kids got were undercooked and overly breaded. Everything else was amazing, though. You order your food prior to finding a seat. We enjoyed the outside seating. The bar area had some live karaoke going on, and an ice cream shop right next door. It's such a fun atmosphere.

Our favorite part was being directly on the water and having a front row seat to the dolphins. The sunset was beautiful. The food was pretty good, but I think I ordered too much fried food. So that was more my fault than the restaurants fault. My daughter did swipe one of the turtle soaps and started to eat it. So I did pay for that. Overall; I think we would definitely come back, I would just order a salad next time with seafood on it.

I visited Snoopy's Restaurant with my friend a couple months ago and we were disappointed in the food. The fish tasted like it was frozen fish cooked and breaded in bland fish fry. 🐟 The fries tasted liked bagged fries and were tasteless. 🍟 If you want to get condiments and the drinks it is self-served. The food did not taste real or authentic, everything tasted like frozen, bagged food that they fried. I could have made the food at home for how it tasted! I will say the scenary was beautiful and there was good, karaoke live music. 🎤 🎶 🎵 If you want good, flavorful seafood please skip this restaurant.

The food was okay. Nothing too special or to write home about. The best part was probably the view and atmosphere. They had karaoke the night we went. I the sunset was beautiful and the salt water smell was perfect 👌🏽

Incredibly disappointed in our take out order today. We ordered over the phone and they forgot to add our fried catfish meal. The kids grilled cheese sandwiches were $10 - and didn’t look correctly cooked. We tried to call back to correct our order and the phone just rings. Our shrimp platters and hush puppies were good - consistent with a food shack menu, so the price just didn’t match the quality unfortunately. We spent over $100 on very cheaply made food. Customer service could be better and more professional. Will not order from here again.

We arrived at 6 p.m. and brought our dogs. There’s a dog-friendly patio with plenty of shade and seating near Scoopy’s, the dessert spot next door. A DJ was there running karaoke, which added to the vibe. You order your food at the register and then find a seat. They call your name over the intercom when your food is ready, but it was a little hard to hear from where we were sitting because of the music. The menu encourages you to add sides, which range from three to four dollars. It’s a little misleading if you’re not paying attention, but the portions are large. You can also order individual items a la carte, like fish or shrimp. We got a dozen shrimp. They were huge and perfectly fried. We also ordered the Snoopy’s combo, which came with fries, four fried oysters, four shrimp, and fried fish. The fish wasn’t cut like a filet, more like two big fish nuggets. Still, everything came out hot, fresh, and in large portions. We hadn’t been here since we were kids. We came back for the nostalgia but ended up getting a solid meal and some fun karaoke entertainment. The dog-friendly patio was a nice bonus.

Lazy Beach Brewing and Cafe is a popular spot in the Southside neighborhood, offering an array of unconventional flavors for beer enthusiasts. The tap room features 14 taps with a new beer introduced weekly, along with favorites like Texas Bock and Hard Kombucha. The brewery's industrial-meets-castaway themed space has become a local favorite since its opening in June 2015.
Nice microbrewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor picnic table spaces to enjoy a wide selection of their brews. They also have non-alcoholic root beer and seltzer with a variety of flavors. Dog friendly so bring Sparky! They have a small menu of common bar food, but often host food trucks which feature local favorites so check their Facebook page for what's available for your visit. Also - check out their Tap Room downtown. Same selection of great brews and also Dog friendly.

They had a food truck festival there today. Lots of well behaved dogs there. Indoor and outdoor seating. My husband had their pilsner and said it was delicious. I had their "margarita," and it was good.

Was disappointed to arrive in plenty of time to participate in the advertised "ghostly guided tour" of the brewery for their Haunted 2nd Sat Shindig only to find out they really didn't plan on giving one & seemed confused when asked. The IPA was nice, the vendors super sweet. Oh, well...that was a wasted trip.

Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, super friendly outgoing staff, and 19 unique delicious craft beers, hard kombuchas, and hard seltzer on tap, all brewed in-house. This brewery is complemented with a fabulous cafe and a cool shady back patio to enjoy a cold pint! #FeelingLazy is the perfect motto to chill and enjoy a cold beer here.

Lazy Beach was GREAT! They allowed us to host a small company event and made sure we were well taken care of! Always a great beer selection that rotates regularly while keeping customer favorites on hand! Awesome locally owned brewery quietly tucked away like a hidden gem!

This was a great local brewery in Corpus. It’s in an area that looks more like warehouses but it is both a brewery and a cafe. I like hazy or New England IPAs so I was recommended Comet Crush and really enjoyed it. Comet Crush had a clean finish and good hoppy kick. My partner enjoyed the Great White Wit which was a hazy IPA that had a citrus finish. You order your drinks and food in the back outside and then choose any seat you want. The have more seating outside than inside but we were able to find a table inside that was a high top. They have a mix of low and high tops inside and mostly picnic tables outside. If you sit inside, you’ll be right next to the open kitchen. I had an avocado and sour cream chicken wrap that was delicious and had lots of fresh veggies. My partner had a turkey Ruben without the sauerkraut that he gobbled up too. Overall the staff were incredibly friendly and the decor was nice and beachy with local art decorating the walls. We had a great experience.

Restaurant
Water Street Oyster Bar is a beloved seafood restaurant located in downtown Corpus Christi, offering a picturesque view of the Corpus Christi Bay. With its origins dating back to a transmission shop, this family-owned establishment has become a popular dining spot for both locals and visitors. The menu features an array of fresh seafood, including mesquite-grilled Gulf catches and locally sourced oysters. In addition to its coastal vibes, Water Street Oyster Bar also offers sushi options for those craving Japanese cuisine.
My family and I visit this oyster bar whenever we’re in Corpus Christi and for good reason. They can get quite busy so expect a wait especially if you’re going for their unbeatable happy hour. Their oysters are super fresh and super good. Great atmosphere that is spacious with professional and attentive staff. There’s dining on two floors and they have a sushi operation going on right next door that is attached and your sushi orders are actually coming from there. Can’t go wrong with any of their main entrees either. They’ve got nice, clean, big bathrooms as well.

One thing I can say is the atmosphere and vibe of the place was really good. There's a raw seafood bar where you can watch the workers prepare. Plenty of seating but I admit it was VERY busy. We had to reserve 5 hours in advanced to secure a spot. The food was OK, not bad but also not mind-blowing. Everything was fully cooked and presented beautifully but the flavor was lacking. (The dipping sauce was really good though). Overall personally I wouldn't recommend this. But dont let that deter you from trying it. The waiter and staff were super friendly, just the food I tasted was not up to my standards.

Someone recommended this restaurant and I’m glad they did! Our server Marty was wonderful. She recommended my plate and man it was good! Real friendly and made us feel like home. Over all food was delicious the atmosphere was pleasant. My wife and I will definitely be back. Thank you Marty!!

We were glad to see the Shrimp & Oyster Embrochette back on the menu. Robert was our waiter, and he was outstanding. I really liked my oysters. I had a bad experience a while back at the new Landry's, but here they were big and tasted fresh. We always get crawfish tails for our appetizer, but they aren't listed on the menu We did not especially like the key lime pie filling, but the graham cracker crust was so good!
Cheri P — Google review
The place is very nice, the bartender took my order and never once came back asking if everything was all right or if I wanted another drink. I bought half dozen oysters. And they were some of the smallest saddest oysters I’ve seen in a while. I ordered a seafood planter oysters, and shrimp. The shrimp was good, but I think kind of small and the oysters were even smaller never quite had a seafood platter like that one of the saddest seafood platter I’ve ever had. Nice place pricey food and very small portions. You might want to have a snack before you get here. You might leave hungry. I travel all over the United States on music tours and this is a type of place that I would stay away from when I’m on the road. It was recommended to me so I had to go and check it out. But I don’t think I’ll be going again anytime soon. Too much money for too little.

This is a great little gem in CC. The building was remodeled and done very modern and cool. At the back of the bar, they have this cool wall done in oyster shells. The oysters were on point. I could have eaten a million. The service was terrific. We will definitely be going back. I will say I will most likely skip the sushi next time. It was dry for sushi.
Marsha D — Google review
Great food drinks and star! We will return to enjoy all the great atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic. Our server, Sarah, guided us through the extensive daily selection with the ease of a seasoned sailor. She explained the flavor profiles of each oyster—from the petite, metallic Kumamotos to the larger, creamy Bluepoints—with specific, mouth-watering detail. And then, there were the oysters. We ordered a dozen, a mix of Sarah's recommendations served glistening on a bed of ice. Each one was perfectly shucked, free of any gritty shell fragments. The first oyster was a taste of pure ocean, a clean, crisp brine that awakens the palate. The mignonette, a classic red wine vinegar with shallots, was a zesty, clean complement that highlighted, rather than masked, the oysters' natural flavor. While the raw bar is the main event, the cooked dishes proved the kitchen is equally talented. The Chargrilled Oysters were a revelation—smoky, buttery, and packed with a garlicky breadcrumb crunch. They were an indulgence that perfectly balanced the clean simplicity of the raw selection.

We called the restaurant ahead of time to check if they allowed dogs. The first person we spoke with said they did, but the patio was under construction. We called again later, and this time they confirmed the patio was open and dogs were welcome. So we decided to go. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday. Parking was available on the side of the restaurant. The place was already busy, but we were seated right away since no one else was sitting outside. The patio was still being renovated, but it was open and usable. They still honor happy hour on Saturdays from 3 to 6. Our server brought us a menu that had dinner options on one side and sushi on the other. About two-thirds of the sushi was included in the happy hour deal and was half off. They also had a variety of beers and wines on special, along with several food specials not listed on the regular menu. We started with oysters. They were large, fresh, and not too salty or briny. They came out quickly. For entrées, my wife ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops, which came with parmesan zucchini, stir-fried rice, and a Caesar salad on the side. We were also given complimentary bread. The scallops were perfectly cooked—big, tender, and wrapped in bacon that had a nice char. Possibly wood-fired, but we’re not sure. I ordered the blackened red snapper, which was one of the specials that night. It came with rice, seasoned vegetables, and a buttery, garlicky sauce that reminded me of a beurre blanc. The fish was fresh, cooked well, not dry, and had great flavor. The sauce was a perfect complement. Overall, everything came out fairly quickly, especially for a Saturday night. Even though the patio was under renovation, it was still comfortable, and we appreciated being able to bring our dogs. The food, service, and atmosphere made for a great experience. We’ll definitely come back.

My mom, sister, and I visited back in December, for the first time. We loved it!! It’s so cool!!! This museum has the largest collection of Hakata dolls in the world, (if I’m not mistaken). The museum has so many different activities you can do. I hear they have a lot of different classes that they teach here, as well! The staff is super friendly and informative!! They answered all of our questions. I can’t wait to visit, again!

We then toured the museum and small gift shop. I had no idea there was even an Asian museum until this class. I highly recommend it!!

They're a small museum, but I really liked going. There were so many interesting things; like the dolls, which I didn't think I'd find interesting, but they turned out to be incredible! Since they have loads more artifacts which they rotate in every so often it's definitely worth going back to see more! The gift shop doesn't have much, but their lucky cat key chains are cute 😸

Visitors can enjoy activities such as volleyball, picnicking on the seawall, and playing at the playground. The beach provides amenities including restrooms and rentals for beach gear.
Nice place to walk on the beach. Found a really nice sea shell. We started at the end of the beach and just started walking. There’s a nice playground for kids and a shower and restrooms if needed. Parking is plenty and convenient to beach.

Decent beach near the city, acceptable if you want the convenience of city dining and access to the water. Sadly there is a lot of plastic, trash, and cigarette butts scattered around. There was even broken glass near the trash can. Would love to see no smoking signs and no glass bottles enforced here to preserve what could be a very nice place for visitors.

The beach here has a lot of clean and fun amenities like showers, bathrooms, playground, motorized scooters, and food trucks on weekends. A trash pick up team is needed to clean up the excessive garbage on the beach. The sand is not soft, so I would recommend bringing a chair and maybe some cushions or blankets if you want to sit on the sand comfortably. Unfortunately I saw a 14 or 15 year old boy, with makeup, long black hair, and about 5 ft 4 in with the voice of a man and body of a boy in the woman’s bathroom with a girl about 14-15 years old in the same stall.
Grace P — Google review
We haven't been here in a long time. We were really impressed with all the development and improvements the city has done. It was in the 70s but very windy. The beach area was very clean and well maintained. The sand is a little rough at the edge of the water and had broken sea shells but once you get in about 2 feet in you can enjoy the smooth sand in the water. It's nice to see all the activities people were engaged in like bicycling, jogging, scootering, flying kites etc. Very family friendly. There are wash off stations just before you get back on the steps and there are wash off stations outside the restrooms to clean off the sand. The restrooms were relatively clean. The floors were wet and sandy due to people changing in here after washing off or swimming. However, it was acceptable to which it was well stocked with paper towels, toilet tissue and hand soap. We constantly saw city employees emptying out trash receptacles and picking up debris on the beach and around the park. There is also a very cool looking playground for the kids. We will definitely be back.

Small art gallery. No admission charge. They always have great exhibits. They’ve expanded into the space that faces Chaparral and relocated the gift shop to that area. Typically they have an opening reception for new exhibits during first Friday Art Walk. There’s also a cool mural of lotería pieces reimagined by south Texas artists on the exterior wall of the building, accessible and visible from Chaparral.

The Harbor Bridge in Corpus Christi, Texas is a significant part of the city's skyline and has been in operation since 1959. Currently undergoing extensive renovations, it will soon become the tallest point in South Texas and the longest cable-stay bridge in the United States. The bridge offers a picturesque route along the coastline to Nueces Bay Causeway and Portland. At night, it comes alive with over 10,000 individual lights that create a stunning LED light show.
It was a great day to Walk the Harbor Bridge! Now we need to open up the new bridge.

went there as i was curious how long it would take me to walk the bridge and how difficult. it is easy. you can wear flip-flops to walk this bridge. from entrance to the highest point takes no more than 10 minutes. the perspective from a high point looking down is awesome. everyone should do it at least one just for the experience. i do NOT recommend doing it during peak traffic hours because the smell from the exhaust isn't pleasant.

The Corpus Christi bridge, also known as the Harbor Bridge, is a striking landmark that spans the Corpus Christi Bay. Whether admired from afar or crossed for a closer look, the bridge adds to the scenic charm of Corpus Christi's waterfront.

Visited corpus christi 2 Years ago when we had to cross the Harbor Bridge. It is a through-arch bridge. The bridge was adorned with a LED lighting system. Sadly, the lights were removed due to corrosion on the brackets of the bridge. The last night the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge lights were lit was June 13, 2021. We were lucky to witness the stunning illumination on the bridge. The lighting created a magical nighttime ambiance with its reflections on the river. A captivating experience worth cherishing!

Got recommended this restaurant by our bartender where we were staying, and this was by far the best recommendation I’ve ever had. I called to make a reservation and the lady I spoke with was very nice and was able to get us a table booked. The whole experience was great. The best steak I’ve ever eaten, it was cooked to perfection and was just delicious, the sides were pleasant as well. Ordered myself a blue hawaiin drink from the bar and it was just as delicious as it looks. Our server and his helper were really nice as well and very accommodating. It was the perfect date night dinner! 10/10

We've, now, been in Corpus Christi for a little over 2 months. Each new place we eat at, I keep saying is my new favorite. But I tell you, this place exceeds all!!! The food was divinely delicious and the drinks were devilously devine! Wes, our waiter, was great and made sure I didn't mess up my order with the bison. Our hostess was really sweet as well. The bartenders knew what they were doing and didn't make me feel rushed trying to order from there novel of a menu! And the quail legs!!! The quail legs will forever live rent free in my head!

1 star for the entire experience! We were here to celebrate my girl's birthday, I never, personally would have chosen this place. I made an 8:30pm reservation & still had to wait. Once we were finally seated at our table the entire experience went downhill. The only thing that was done correctly was the request to be seated at a table with an ocean view. We ordered our dinner and salads to start, well it took over 15 minutes just to bring out the salads, this was a precursor of what was to come, or not. We finished our salads and bread and waited another 15 minutes and still no entrees. Well it's sad to say that after an hour and 15 minutes later, still no entrees. It was now 9:45pm and by now,3 loafs of bread later and only eating the dinner salads, we were ready to leave. It was only then that the server said, let me go check on the entrees, after I told her that we were ready to leave and to just bring out my bill. She became contentious and said, you'll have to take that up with my manager because we were about to bring out the entrees, almost an hour and a half later. She wanted to argue with me about leaving due to the poor service and the long wait for the entrees. The brought out my bill which was for the salads and drinks, 32.00 and I was told that this was all I was going to pay because we were never served our entrees. Well when the manager brought out my credit card, I noticed that she ran it for about 112.00 for entrees which were never served and entrees that we never ate. I showed the manager the initial bill of 32.00 and asked why she processed my card for 112.00 she admitted to making a mistake, I didn't sign the receipt for 112.00, she did correct the mistake and I did pay for what we ate Here's the icing on the cake, there was another table of 6 people sitting next to us, also celebrating a birthday. They were being asked to leave because they were complaining about their service as well. All I can say is that they ruined our birthday celebration and that I personally won't ever go back to this restaurant. I personally wouldn't recommend it it to anyone that I know. So here is my personal ratings. View 5⭐ Ambiance with the live music,5⭐ Bread 5⭐ Service 1⭐ Food 1⭐ we never received our entrees. Overall experience 2⭐ Likelihood of ever visiting this place again 0⭐ Recommend this place to people I know 0⭐

The food was pretty good, but very expensive. My boyfriend and I got ribeye steaks, Caesar salads, mashed potatoes, and a crème brûlée. The steak was juicy, but a little more cooked than I asked for. All the other food was great and they start you off with bread and butter. We had great views of the ocean and sunset. My waiter was very friendly and helped guide us through the menu.

Just visited the resort and wanted to try the food here. Our waitress Brittany was fantastic, she answered all our questions and was such a pleasure to talk to! We had the Bison Ribeye, Beef Tenderloin and the Au Gratain potatoes and everything was amazing with a fair price!

I enjoyed a delicious filet with seasoned vegetables. It became my favorite steak place in corpus! Four adults and two kids all agreed that the food was delicious. The cosmos had a sweet candy orange garnish that tasted delicious as well. The children chose pepperoni pizza and fries for their food. They agreed the pizza was "very yummy." We were celebrating and had the chocolate mousse for a special dessert. It had a rich flavor that is the perfect ending to a fabulous dinner. The service was outstanding! The hostess was very polite and continuously complimented my daughter as we passed. The waitress was on top of her game and very understanding to the needs of the children. It was worth every penny for the service & the food. I would highly recommend for everyone to enjoy a beautiful view with amazing customer service & food.

Nestled along the stunning coastline, Padre Balli Park spans an impressive 374 acres and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. This beachside gem offers a variety of activities, from swimming in the refreshing waters to fishing off its renowned pier. With nearly 100 paved campsites perfect for RVs and designated areas for tent camping, it’s an ideal spot for those looking to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying modern amenities like electrical hookups and accessible facilities.
I parked my Jayce Jay Flight at the Padre Balli RV Park over Christmas break. The park was clean, quiet and well maintained. The office staff were very helpful upon check in. It was my first time camping and I could not have selected a better location. The long walks by the ocean, the close proximity to essentials and the price for what is offered was amazing.I strongly recommend this park for a getaway vacation. I am certain you will make an annual stop as I plan to.

Best RV Park and beach is within walking distance!!! You can now stay for 2 weeks!!!! Best spots to see the beach are sites 8-9.
Cherlyn V — Google review
Stayed for about a week with an RV - April 27th to May 4th 2025. ‘Premium’ spots are very pretty; non-premium is, at least when I visited, a parking lot next to a construction zone. Ultimately, I would stay again, but the park is owned by the city which caused issues, primarily around power. Paid for a power RV site, but the island lost power for something like 24 total hours over the course of two separate, non-consecutive days. No power - no A/C when it’s 85 degrees outside and you’re trying to get a good night’s rest. No power - no reliable internet. Inquired about a partial refund, but was basically told that would be difficult. Understandable - city budgets, paperwork and all that. So, idk, pretty park, nice staff, but not without some headaches.

Went about a week ago, all the camp sites were spread out plenty of privacy, it was clean, my 2 wheel truck did get stuck and was a minor pain getting it out the sand. But didn't stop me from having an awesome beach experience.

We were not camping there; our family was. We just went to hang out a couple times. The campground was quiet and clean. Their camper spot was very nice, with an extra-large concrete area for a picnic table and chairs, and they even had room for their large dog fence. The bathrooms were decent. The beach was pretty clean, too. Very nice; I'd definitely camp there myself in the future.

I love this place! The land is so peaceful and its nice and quiet. I love that they have wifi so im able to work and theyre so close to the water for break time its a no trainer. This is now my permanent stop in this area. They were even patient when my travel brain forgot how plugging in a camper works 🤣

This was our first time here at Padre Balli Park. It was nice and clean. There weren't too many campers so they had slots open. We were less than 5min. walking distance to the beach. The water was brown on the first day and very windy. The second and third days were very nice 87°F for the high and humidity was low. So very comfortable weather. The water started returning to it natural color and by Wednesday it was there. We went fishing and caught a few fish and released them back. The bath/shower house was clean and the laundry room was in working order. I wish they had more washer & dryers. The price for the premium sites are very reasonable. They do offer tent camping and have electricity to most spots. I would recommend getting a beach parking pass from the office at about $14.00 so you can drive on the beach ⛱️ and set up for the day. The pass is good for 1yr. It was really nice and we look forward to heading back there before the year end.

There is uneven pavement in and around the venue area. Be careful where you step! high inclines in some areas ... seats in the seating reservation stage area were very uncomfortable, small and flimsy plastic ... for being a large concert venue, they have small screens to view the artist performing ... Will not spend my hard earned money at this concert venue! Not worth it! Would have been much better at the ABCenter🇺🇸 Friendly staff though ☺️ Willie Nelson was awesome! 👍🏼 🎙🎸🎶🤠

It was really fun, we went and saw koe wetzel, the stage had an interesting setup where fire would shoot out. We got tickets in the pit, but I will warn that the tickets were maybe 150$. And everything there was a little pricey, but the experience its self was a 10/10. 4 stars

Went to a show last night and had a young man from Mr. nice guys try to sell my youngest daughter marijuana underneath the table. This stuff was already wrapped up and ready to go. My daughter said that he kept asking her and asking her for marijuana and then proceeded to give out his number. She then told him she didn’t want his number, but he insisted that whenever she is at a concert to hit him up that he will always have it on him. Mr. nice guys is selling actual marijuana underneath the table. Is ridiculous some guy with glasses and curly hair be careful with this young man he’s selling drugs underneath the table and every concert He was working last night at the Stone Temple Pilots concert. Be careful with your kids with this guy. I’ve heard they sell multiple types of drugs

1st time at the venue for Randy Rogers Band & Turnpike Troubadours show. Pit passes were just over $300 for 2 tickets. No seating in the pit area. There is a small uphill lawn outside the pit and a few picnic tables scattered around. I saw food trucks but did not visit them. We only bought one beer & a few waters because they did not have coconut rum. Ridiculously long lines at the bar for mixed drinks, but there are beer stations scattered around the outter edges. Standing on concrete for the whole show so ended up with feet and lower back killing me. I did not visit the restrooms. Not lot of nearby parking, so you may have to walk a way to the venue.

Great concert line ups. Vip seating is great. However, if you are going to have e VIP seating and only one way in you should have other choices other than alcohol to drink. Not everyone drinks alcohol. Soft drinks should be an option as well. We shouldn't have to walk all the way back to the front just to get a drink.

Shopping mall
La Palmera is a renowned enclosed mall in Corpus Christi, offering over 100 shopping and dining options as well as occasional events. It has become a staple for locals and visitors alike. The mall features popular national retailers such as Dillard's, Macy's, JCPenney, American Eagle, and H&M. Additionally, The Shops at La Palmera across the street offer more retail and dining choices.
This is a classy Mexican restaurant with authentic cultural cuisine and flavors. The seating is plentiful, and the booths even have phone charger stations for USB and a standard plug. The food was fantastic, especially for a moderate price point where you can spend the same at a lower end restaurant for lesser quality food. The service was very kind and attentive without being overly pushy, with a great balance. If you have Priscilla, you'll be in good hands.

La Palmera Mall is a fantastic retail destination- clean, well-organized, and home to a solid mix of stores from national brands to local boutiques. I found everything I was looking for without feeling overwhelmed, and the layout makes it easy to navigate. The food court offers a nice variety of dining options, perfect for shoppers wanting a quick bite or a sit-down meal. I also appreciate the comfortable seating areas and family-friendly spaces. A few small areas could use a refresh-some of the restrooms were beginning to show wear, and I noticed a few stores looking a bit dated. But overall, the mall feels safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. If you're in Corpus Christi and want a convenient, all-in-one shopping trip, La Palmera is a solid choice. Minor updates would take it from great to perfect!

First time here; I was impressed. It was clean! Only two people asked me for money! Elevator worked and didn’t make weird noises going up and down. Food court is nice with plenty of options and even some around the mall. Check it out!

I've been in several of the stores, but the one I am so pleased about is actually a vending machine run by a local. Cariños Bakery has many unique flavors and some traditional cake flavors. All that I have tasted are just perfectly balanced with the flavors coming through in a delightful way. They were moist and delicious! The vending machine is just inside the entry closet to Longhorn Steakhouse.

Very short out and back trail with a loop at the end. There’s some desire paths that are not really trails but do look like trails. Trail is a mix of boardwalk, pavement and dirt, very uneven. A large section goes right by the water which was nice and scenic. Partially shaded
Betty G — Google review
Nice little nature area. We only took a short walk down the boardwalk to the water. It's neat with all of the grasses closing in around the route. The water view at the end was peaceful. A great place to just sit and relax for a bit.
Glorkar F — Google review
Pros: one good bird watching spot, one playground area, many picnic benches, long trails, park staff clean up trash frequently Cons: needs repairs, if you don't see birds in that one spot there are no other spots in this refuge to see them As others have said, this is in need of upkeep. The pavement is broken/missing in many places and not suitable for biking on. The boards on the boardwalk are in dire need of repair; it felt like they were close to caving in. The boardwalk is also overgrown with tall grass/plants that rise over the railing. The bird watching spot was crowded when I went, and there really weren't any birds to see. I tried finding another place in the refuge to see birds, but there isn't one. Getting to see the Mexican olive tree drop some fruit and all the white butterflies were neat though.

This is a great little park. It has small walking trails. A ton of birds and a board walk. It's a great spot to take pictures. Theres a nice bridge on one side and a playground on the far other side. Most would probably spend an hour here, if you stopped to read a few signs.

Restaurant
Doc's Seafood and Steaks is a vibrant waterfront restaurant in Corpus Christi, offering a lively atmosphere with live music and picturesque views of the water. The menu features fresh Gulf seafood, hand-cut Angus beef steaks, and tropical mixed drinks. Whether you're dining indoors or outdoors, you'll enjoy the scenic location right under the JFK Bridge from Corpus Christi to Padre Island. With nightly live music during peak seasons and weekend performances in between, Doc's provides an authentic coastal dining experience.
This was our favorite place by far on our visit to the area. Yes, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was great!! But the service was beyond 5 stars. Our server, Lauren P. made our experience here exemplary! She was so attentive, friendly, and informative to all our questions. Made our visit more memorable and fun. We chose to go with the two different fish options that were caught that day. The cooks here clearly know what they're doing, as our food was delicious. They had a live singer performing near the front door in the bar area. Below the restaurant if you have a long wait (which is worth it!) Is another bar area you can enjoy and pass the time. If we ever get to come back to visit the area, this restaurant will be on top of our list.
Chadwick D — Google review
Our visit to Doc’s Seafood and Steaks was a decent overall experience, but it had a mix of positives and drawbacks. We waited about an hour and 15 minutes to be seated, which was expected for the busy evening, but worth noting if you’re visiting during peak times. The menu is heavily seafood-focused, with many dishes prepared blackened or jerk-style, so there’s a fair amount of spice. If you’re not into seafood or bold flavors, your options are somewhat limited. The setting is one of the highlights — you can sit near the edge and enjoy a nice view of the water, which adds to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the chairs were hard and lacked any lumbar support, making them uncomfortable for a long meal. Our server was friendly and attentive, which helped balance out some of the food concerns. The burgers we tried were very charred and didn’t have much seasoning; the sauces provided most of the flavor, so without them, they would have been pretty bland. The lower-level area offers games like cornhole and the ring-and-hook game, along with some live music, which creates a casual, fun vibe. However, it also had an unpleasant smell of spilled beer and even urine, which was off-putting and made us question the cleanliness in that area. In short, seafood lovers who enjoy a lively, waterfront atmosphere will probably appreciate this place more than we did. For non-seafood eaters, the limited menu and mixed food quality may not make it worth the wait.

This was my first trip to Texas and Corpus Christi, and I decided to take a solo trip. This place came highly recommended, and I can see why. Gabby was such a sweet waitress and very accommodating, even while handling a busy crowd. She truly deserves recognition and a raise. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and made the whole experience worth it. The only negative observation I had was with the owner/manager (tall, slim white man). He was walking around asking tables how they liked their food and if they needed anything, but he walked right past me and only spoke to the tables in front of and behind me. It may have been unintentional, but it did feel strange and made me feel a little out of place for a moment. Overall, my visit was great, and I would probably return.
Neil D — Google review
First we were placed at the perfect table with the best view of the water while still being shaded. Enjoyed the variety of the drink menu. Ordered the Cucumber Watermelon Lemonade and the Jalapeño Dosarita, Starters were great - Raw Oysters & Watermelon Tuna. However when it came to the entrees, the Docs Yardbird sounded great in theory but was a bit too heavy handed on the blackening seasoning (still enjoyable) and would try it again, but it was not as awesome as the Lemon Caper Tuna (fantastic in flavor and cook - rare to med rare) and the green beans were cooked well with a lemon pepper seasoning. We will be back for sure! 😍
Melissa B — Google review
Everything about Doc's is great! The views, the food, the service...there's nothing you won't like about this place. You can sit and watch boats travel the Intracoastal waterway while you sip on a great drink from the bar and enjoy some amazing food! Prepare yourself though, this place can get really busy in the evenings, but if you stop in for lunch, you'll have a better chance at getting a table quickly. This is one of my favorite places to visit in Corpus Christi.

Totally surprised how good the food was… I was expecting it to be very meh and it was very good. Horseradish sauce was on point. To add a little more information for future patrons, we ended up ordering 2.5 lbs of peeled shrimp, because they were exceptional. Everything else was equally amazing, as my photos show.

Long wait but expected if you show up to doc's in late afternoon with 4 or more. Service was friendly and helpful atmosphere was very bright and open and had a great view. Food was good a little over cooked but to to the point where I was disappointed overall a good experience.

Great restaurant, food and service were friendly and fast. it’s a very busy place and the 45 min wait went by fairly fast with a few drinks from the bar. I only recommend them adding some ceiling fans or something to help with ventilation on hot humid days. It’s on a dock so it’s all basically outside which is ok but the floor fans weren’t as helpful on this particular. Look forward to visiting again and highly recommend

Outdoor Activities
Whitecap Beach, located in Corpus Christi, is a stunning stretch of white sand that offers a secluded and picturesque setting for beach enthusiasts. It's known for its clear waters and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and picnics. The beach also provides opportunities for various activities such as fishing, surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding. Additionally, visitors can enjoy sunset horseback rides and evening bonfires.
Whitecap Beach is one of my favorite spots on the Texas coast! The wide, sandy shoreline is clean and easy to access, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the ocean without feeling crowded. The waves are perfect for a refreshing swim or just relaxing while listening to the surf. It's a great beach for families, couples, or solo visitors-whether you're walking the shore, collecting seashells, or setting up for a full day in the sun. Parking is convenient, and the beach is well-maintained compared to many other public beaches. Sunsets here are absolutely stunning, and the peaceful vibe makes it an ideal place to unwind after a long week. Whether you're a local or just visiting Padre Island, Whitecap Beach is a must. Bring a chair, a cooler, and enjoy one of Texas's best-kept coastal secrets!
Jack — Google review
Whitecap Beach was a great experience, especially considering that in Texas, you don’t often get much of a tropical-style beach setting. The shoreline was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant first impression. However, it was very busy the day we went, so I recommend arriving early if you want a good spot. One important thing to note is that you’ll be driving on sand to get to your spot, so make sure your vehicle is capable and you know how to handle it. On the day we visited, at least 20 vehicles reportedly got stuck and had to be towed out. A little preparation and caution can save you a lot of trouble. The water itself was fairly warm — expected for the middle of summer — but it does cool down the deeper you go. The main downside is the murky water with low visibility; once you’re past about 1.5–2 feet of depth, you can’t see the bottom, so watch your step. The slope is gradual, so you can walk 150–200 feet out and still only be in about 4–5 feet of water, though the sandy floor does have uneven spots. Amenities are basic: restrooms are limited to portapotties and are located far from the main beach area, and we couldn’t find any public showers. On the plus side, there are roaming vendors selling snacks, drinks, and beach parking passes, which is convenient. Overall, Whitecap Beach is a fun, family-friendly spot if you’re prepared for the crowds and lack of full facilities. Bring your own shade, arrive early, and enjoy a warm day by the water.
Francisco S — Google review
We enjoyed our time at White Cap Beach — the weather and views were beautiful, and it’s a nice spot to relax. However, I did notice quite a bit of litter along the beach and even in the water, like plastic pieces and bits of food. It would be great if the area was cleaned more often. Also, there aren’t any proper washrooms, only portable toilets, which aren’t very hygienic. It would be so nice if there were clean water sprinklers or showers to rinse off the sand and salty water before leaving, since it can really irritate your skin. Overall, we had a good time, but I hope they make a few improvements to make the experience even better. 🌊☀️
Rasha A — Google review
This place makes me love Texas beaches. The sand is beautiful and the water is clear. It was busy on Saturday—even had a group pull right up next to my car(they couldn’t even open the passenger doors) and then setup in front of me. I thought they couldn’t use a lesson in beach etiquette. I didn’t see any side by sides or four wheelers on my trip. Sunrise is not to be missed.
Wendy W — Google review
Ok, for Texas this is a great beach. Get a permit before parking on the beach. There are free paved lots that are very close if you don’t care about parking on the beach. Being used to Southern California beaches makes it tough to rate this without prejudice, but it’s pretty good. Would visit again.
Richard T — Google review
I love this beach. On our first night we were just looking around and took my girlfriend’s mini dachshunds for a walk on it and they didn’t even bark at people or other dogs. Now to the swimming it was great. I love to just let the waves crash on me and just go with the tide. The current can get strong so make sure you are aware and know your limits. I look forward to many more visits here

The Selena Memorial Statue in Corpus Christi, Texas, pays tribute to the iconic Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez. The life-size bronze statue is located near the ocean and serves as a reminder of her transformative career and contributions to music. Visitors can also explore other cultural landmarks in the city, such as the Selena Museum, Padre Balli Park, and the Texas Surf Museum.
Since we went during a weekday and it was around 5pm the parking was no issue and it was perfect for pics. We were even approached by the caretaker who takes care of the statue and talked to us about Selena facts. He told us the lights around the statue would turn on soon and that depending on the holiday the light colors will change to match the holiday. First time visiting. Very peaceful little spot, they play Selena music and tell a little about her as you take pictures. It doesn't really look like her but the thought was sweet. It's free and there's plenty of parking especially on the weekday.

Such a sweet memorial for an incredible Artist. Area is well maintained and well visited by travelers in the off season but plenty of room for photo opportunities. There is a pre-recorded message playing intermittently to tell of Selena’s life and accomplishments with the memorial itself overlooking the bay. Off street parking available.

Padre Island, the largest of the Texas barrier islands, is a nature lover's paradise. Just a short drive from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, this quiet island offers opportunities for fishing, bird watching, and hiking along its nature trails. With protected areas and pristine beaches, it's an ideal destination for a peaceful getaway. Visitors can camp overnight with a permit to fully immerse themselves in the island's natural beauty.
After the storm cleared and the tourists left, we enjoyed the quiet beach and warm water.

Very nice, we are at a restaurant there and the food was amazing, felt like we were in a 60s restaurant tbh. We rented a cart thing and drove around and went to the beach ,it was just beautiful and so many nice people, def want to go back :)

This is the fourth time I came here at Isla del Padre or Padre Island. I think you expend your time here for a while, the sea is not rude it’s for all the family, and you can enjoy a lot with friends and relatives, you may can see a lot of people around the beach. This a good place to take the waves with your table surf and enjoy it

Horses on the Beach, located in Corpus, offers a unique experience of horseback riding along the South Padre Island beach. The family-run attraction allows visitors to rent horses for an hour to explore the coastline and enjoy a quintessentially Texan beach experience. While riders must be at least six years old, it's a great opportunity for kids to experience horseback riding. The coastal setting adds to the charm of this activity, providing a relaxing escape after days of historical exploration.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Absolutely Amazing Experience! I had to leave my horse, Rebel, for a whole week, so I was really missing riding. I found Horses on the Beach in Corpus Christi, and we booked a ride—it was incredible! I got to ride a horse named Wildfire, and the whole experience was unforgettable. The staff was friendly, the horses were well cared for, and riding along the beach was amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves horses or wants a unique and fun experience. 5 stars all the way!
Carson L — Google review
I’ve been riding horses since I was a kid in Brazil, and I’ve ridden in places like Canada and Las Vegas, but this company is truly the best. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the horses are not only numerous but also healthy and beautiful. Riding along the beach was an unforgettable experience—the view, the sunset, everything was perfect. Our guide, Josue, was fantastic. I took so many great pictures, and the memories will last a lifetime. Highly recommend!
Mauro M — Google review
This was the favorite part of our vacation. We did the sunset ride and it was phenomenal! Truly a bucket list experience. Cash was a great guide as well as his assistant. There was lively conversation along the ride about the horses as well as the area and recommendations for other places/things to try nearby. They did an excellent job pairing riders with suitable horses and the route to and on the beach was absolutely beautiful! It is worth every penny and we’d love to do it again sometime. Highly recommend!

I’ve never been horse back riding so this was a bucket list experience I selected for my 30th birthday trip. Hands down the highlight of our vacation, it was more than I expected! Staff was amazing, helpful, friendly and knew their horses. Everyone was relaxed and got to fully experience the trip! Would do it every weekend if I could!

My wife and I wrapped up our 25th anniversary with a late summer beach trip. Capped with our very first time riding horses, on the beach no less. Our guide, Laura, was an amazing host. The weather was perfect, and the horses were lovely. I will be returning each time I'm in the area. Thank you! (Shoutout to our horses Bandit & Valentine, they deserve all the extra snacks).
Mike G — Google review
I have to give five stars because they did such a good job prioritizing and ensuring safety. Is a little more boring for some of us more experienced riders having to walk the whole way, but I can't fault them for having that protocol. It would be cool to have an option with the ability to gallop and trot for more experienced riders -like an "advanced" outing option. But the guides did a really phenomenal job and it was a beautiful once-in-a-lifetime experience.. Note: please make sure saddles are on straight and tight ❤️
T T — Google review
Everything was amazing. Great experience from check in, to getting on our horses, to the ride, to getting off the horses. We had a great experience all around. I only wish we knew tips were cash only. We asked to add a tip on when we purchased our photos and we were told we couldn’t. We really wanted to leave a tip, but didn’t have any cash with us.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Popped into Blackbeard’s on Margarita Monday and honestly had the best time! Their house margaritas are incredible — you can actually taste the drink, not just the mix, and they go down way too easy 😋 Destiny behind the bar was an absolute gem — so friendly, fun, and just one of those people you instantly click with. Chef Bubba (Matt) came out and made me some off-menu tacos and riblets that were out of this world. You could tell how much pride they both take in what they do. And the prices?! I came during happy hour and was blown away by how affordable everything was for such an amazing experience. The vibe, the food, the drinks, the people — everything was just perfect. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Corpus! 🌮🍹✨

Andy's Kitchen is a well-established neighborhood diner in Corpus Christi, known for its homestyle comfort food and Mexican dishes. The restaurant offers a wide range of options including homemade chili, country fried steak with special gravy, sirloin, seafood, and an extensive Mexican menu featuring nachos, quesadillas, tacos, and chalupas. Families are catered to with a dedicated children's menu.
Dropped in for a late lunch (sorry staff!!) they were so accommodating even though much of their food was already out of stock. The blueberry muffins were still coming out HOT! The chicken fried steak was the table hit! I got the Rueben sandwich - wasn’t the best but not sure what I was thinking ordering that at Andy’s. Oh well. My father in law had the liver and onions and enjoyed it! We got a basket of rolls and jalapeño corn bread and it was so good!!!

A great place for breakfast. We come here every time we visit from San Antonio. The eggs and bacon are delicious. The 3 dollars pancakes are cute and very tasty. And I have to mention their biscuits and gravy, very good. Also, the staff is very friendly and prompt. The overall atmosphere here is amazing. We even loved how so many regulars were eating here and the employees were on first name basis with them. They already knew their orders too! That’s just great customer service. We will keep coming back and definitely recommend this place!

They just “get it”! Reminds me of a diner circa 1980. Honest helpful staff, great food! Breakfast menu was a solid choice of traditional american options and Mexican options. Food was fantastic! Portions were rational, and flavorful. My coffee cup stayed full the whole meal, every staff ensured we were cares for. Skip the fast food and try this local joint!

Andy's Kitchen in Corpus Christi is an absolute gem, embodying everything a classic diner should be. The ambiance is warm and inviting, a perfect blend of nostalgic charm and bustling energy. A delightful detail that truly sets it apart is the miniature toy train that perpetually circles the dining room, a whimsical touch that brings a smile to every face, young and old. The wait staff are consistently hospitable and genuinely friendly, making you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer. They contribute significantly to the comforting, home-like atmosphere. But let's talk about the food! The biscuits and gravy are a revelation – fluffy biscuits smothered in a rich, flavorful gravy that tastes homemade. The crispy bacon is cooked to perfection, a crunchy complement to any breakfast dish. And the silver dollar pancakes? They are, without a doubt, the cutest you will ever lay eyes on, perfectly portioned and incredibly delicious. Andy's Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone seeking hearty, delicious food and an experience that feels like stepping back into a simpler, friendlier time.

Andy's Country Kitchen: A Local Gem Where the Trains Run on Time (and the food is like home cooking). On a quest for authentic local flavor in Corpus Christi, Google led us to Andy's Country Kitchen, and boy, are we glad it did! We rolled in around noon, expecting a wait, but were whisked right to a table. Score one for immediate gratification! Stepping inside, you immediately realize this isn't your average chain restaurant. The decor is a delightful mix of aged wood, an abundance of greenery, and – wait for it – a model train that chugs along above your head! It's not fancy or trendy, but it's got a unique, quirky charm that just feels fun. Yes, it's a bit cozy (some might say "snug," especially when it's bustling), but they're clearly maximizing space to get all that deliciousness out to the hungry masses. Our server was efficient and friendly, guiding us through a menu loaded with comforting foods, including breakfast. And comforting it was! This is good, hearty, honest-to-goodness downhome cooking. The portions are generous and the food arrived surprisingly quickly. The prices? Very fair for the quality and quantity – a rare and beautiful thing these days. What truly sealed the deal for me was the distinct lack of obvious tourists. This felt like a genuine local hangout, which, as a discerning traveler, I wholeheartedly appreciate. If I lived in Corpus Christi, I'd be a regular fixture at Andy's. It's the kind of place where you leave feeling full, and happy. Don't expect white tablecloths; expect good food, good vibes, and maybe a little elbow room negotiation. Highly recommend for a truly local taste!

The food here is fantastic. First time here and I gotta admit even sitting outside they have fans so that way it is tolerable and the atmosphere here looking at the water while you eat is the best. Our waiter is attentive. Everybody should come here at least once and enjoy eating on the water.

This is a great spot and the service is great. We had some delicious drinks and the blackened chicken sandwich was delicious. The menu is mostly seafood but they have burgers and salads also. The vibe is amazing and the reason we eat here. You are right on the water. 🤩

The atmosphere here was spot on. Part of the marina. I really enjoyed the fried shrimp and my server was amazing. The only downside was my taquitos. They had great flavor but were cold in the middle. Like refrigerator cold. The server offered to replace them but I had eaten about half of them despite the temperature issue because the flavor was amazing so I didn’t feel right about getting a new order. Just enough to keep from a 5 star rating, but everything else was great!

This was a pretty cool place. We actually ate on the water and you could feel it move the whole time. I had the server suprise me with a fish and it was really good, the unicorn fish. Slightly over cooked, but the sauce was awesome. Everyone was pretty happy with their food. Looking forward to going back and getting surprised again on a new meal!

Good food & cool atmosphere. The fans and breezes made the patio tolerable even in the midday sun and I'm a "big guy".coconut shrimp were crispy but the shrimp were still cooked perfect. She had the fish and chips. The only thing that would have made this place better would be live music.
Hans H — Google review
We arrived at Harrison's Landing and were immediately seated on the patio. They do allow dogs, and the patio is covered, which made it a comfortable spot. We ordered drinks while we waited for dinner later that evening. They had a few drink specials, and we went with the Prickly Pear Margarita. It was solid. They also brought out ice water for our dogs, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the bathroom situation. The restrooms are located inside the gift shop, and there are only two available. Since it was a Saturday and just after 1 p.m., the shop was pretty busy and there was a bit of a wait to use the bathroom. Not ideal, but nothing major. We had a great seat by the water with a nice view. The overall atmosphere was relaxed, and the drinks were good. We appreciated being able to have our dogs with us. We didn’t eat this time, but we plan to come back and try the food on another visit.

We're visiting Corpus Christi and found out about this lil gem. The service and food is great and it's fun to sit outside on the water. The only thing I did not care for were the birds that were flying around trying to grab food, they weren't dive-bombing anyone though. The platters are plentiful, my sister and I shared the fish and chips. It tasted great. The oil used to fry the fish was clean and the flounder tasted fresh. We each got the El Jimador Margarita since it was the drink dé jour. Our server was Sabrina B. She was friendly, attentive and efficient. Thank you Sabrina. There's a gift shop next door and patrons get 20% off, just show your receipt. We will return to this establishment.

Island Joe's was awesome! It's obviously a hot spot because of how busy it was when we were here. Idk why this is rated 4.6. My daughter's cold brew tasted like there was no coffee in it, and she had to add coffee when we got home. That still didn't fix it, so she threw it away. The biscuits were just frozen processed biscuits, and the bacon was basically nonexistent. How do you not have butter when all you serve is biscuits and bagels? Finally, $28 for 2 bacon and egg biscuits, 1 plain biscuit, a small smoothie and large cold brew that wasn't even coffee. No bag, all handed out the window individually. Our first and last time here. They've got nothing on 7Brew as far as the drinks.

Downtown seawall is beautiful. My early morning visit allowed me the privilege of watching the sun rise over the water which was absolutely breath taking. It’s unbelievably peaceful. You can gaze upon the water or people watch both in peace. You’ve got people riding bikes on their morning bike ride, couples talking a morning stroll, You have people walking their dogs which was no inconvenience as everyone wants to enjoy their time, and they all seem to clean up after them. You can watch the boats and tugger go in and out of the port, and sometimes you may catch a large ship making its way in or out as well. That marina is just a short walk down as well. The park is beautiful and clean, with scooter rentals available. The workers may be out cleaning up or cruising past but they’re all incredibly respectful and helpful. You can not go wrong with a morning visit here.

It’s a place you just want to visit once and that too in day light, there are no restaurants or food truck in evening, along with that the place is surrounded by bunch of homeless people trying to attack the passing vehicles. The Marina Arts District is simply FANTASTIC!!!! The look, feel, and vibe keeps me coming back to Corpus Christi over and over again. So much to photograph! So much to see and experience! Outstanding, top-notch dining, craft beer, art, entertainment, museums, the T-heads.... I'm in love with a city, and her name is Corpus Christi.

Great place to have fun with the kids. We had a long 5 hour drive back home so we decided to let the kids eat and have some fun so we got the (eat and play combo). Had some issues with the kitchen not communicating are order and had to wait almost two hours, it was 7, of us waiting at the table. but thanks to the Manager Ray, who was awesome and very considerate of the kid's. Thanks for making things right, Definitely 5star manager! will be back when in town again, this time I may just order the giant pizza it would have been quicker lol. Thanks again to your team and to you sir.
Peter E — Google review
First I have to say we have gone every time we visit the area over the last 3 years. Every time we love it. It's always pretty calm, the pizza is good and staff always goes above and beyond. My son and nephew were on the bumper boats and were only 2 kids. To my dismay they started shooting water at the staff and instead of them just getting mad or ignoring them the 2 staff members jumped in and played with them.
Megan R — Google review
This was our first time here, and we had such a great experience! The staff was super friendly and quickly helped resolve an issue I had with an app purchase. The bumper boats were a blast, and we had a lot of fun playing mini golf. Even though it was hot, the course is well shaded, and the breeze made it much more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Kids had a great time and the family lived to watch them race
Mike D — Google review
Weather was great on this day, the outside employees, welll they make you not want to take your kids back. I get it's hot, and you can get irritable, but that's your job! Instead of having both go karts opened, they only had the adult track open, and that made the wait time longer for the kids that have time limits for birthday parties. The party host was awesome she was so friendly, and the food was delicious.
Alida G — Google review
First time going and I was really surprised at the amount of machines and rides that they have. The place is super clean and there is someone always cleaning machines after being used. It's much larger then I expected. Prices are decent and the dining area is very large. Great fun for a family looking for something todo. The whole place is very well maintained!
Film M — Google review
Amazing place to take the kids. Go karts, putt putt, video games, bumper boats, bumper cars, batting cages, and three different amusement park rides. Video games are very similar to what you would find at a chukie cheese. They do have food and drink options there, but we ate lunch before we went. The putt putt course is by far the best one around. It's clean and very well kept up. The only thing I didn't care for was they charged us for an extra person for my 2 yr old to be a passenger on the bumper boats $8 and bumper cars $6. Other than that, it's a really fun place.
Micheal A — Google review
This place has very poor customer service. It was about 10pm when we finished playing miniature golf. We came inside, and I needed to go to the restroom. The doors to both men and women restrooms were closed with trash cans in front of them. I asked the lady behind the counter if I could use the restroom, and she told me, "the restrooms are closed because we just cleaned them." I told her "you still have people playing mini golf and people inside playing in the arcade, and we can't use the restroom?" She then told me, "you can go to Walmart across the street" I told her, "are you kidding me? You still have all these people here paying to play and we have to go across the street because you closed the restrooms already?" This is the worst company restroom policy I have ever heard of.

When you think of "The Beach," imagine a stunning stretch of coastline that offers both tranquility and adventure without costing a dime. Visitors can easily pack their favorite snacks and drinks, or take advantage of the beach gear provided by their rental units, allowing for an entire day filled with sunbathing, sandcastle building, and splashing in the surf—all for free!
The city provides trash cans and port a potties close to the beach markers that are spaced every 10th of a mile . Bring toilet paper with you! (It is stocked once a day) every fuel station and grocery store has parking passes- you can drive the beach without one but you can not stop with out it! In Port A proper there are wooden bollards that separate parking from pedestrian only beach . Once you get past the Texan the bollards don’t exist you can then park at the tide line ( handy if you are fishing) Get yourself some polarized sunglasses so you can see the fish in the wave swells and crests! Each main beach access point also has open air no private (keep your bathing suit on) outdoor showers to rinse off the sand. Sun rise is on gulf side and set is on Laguna side. The WIND! If you have never been to a gulf front beach… check your weather app to know for sure … most days 10-13 mph wind with gusts up to 20-39 mph ! Shade structures meant for soccer games to cut it at the beach! Mangled pop canopy frames are dumped next to the teas cans daily!!!

Unfortunately, we were at "The Beach" (Port Aransas, Tx.) the day before tropical storm Alberto . Only time we had with grandson. Waves were high, water surge was high leaving a nasty foam and plenty of garbage floating around. I've been to Port A when everything worked and it was lovely . Will go back. Thanks for asking .

Port Aransas, TX is around 3 hours from San Antonio, TX. We love the Holiday Inn Express, 1 block from the ocean, across from Shell Restaurant. Stop by FLY It, they are wonderful people, there is something for everyone. Plus you are helping Port A, after Harvey, we have to go there every time. We have gone for possible over 30 Years. Kites, windsocks, spinners, and more.

Totally recommend! Beautiful sandy beach super soft sand!
Kris O — Google review
I love Port A beach. The water is clean, clear and not cold. ( it is a bit cooler now but you can still swim) the sand is hard, it’s not a soft white sand beach 🏝️ it winds a lot so you need anchors for your tent. Last weekend the wind was ok. It is allowed to camp and spend the night there.
Ana S — Google review
Beautiful and well maintained beaches. Its defense worth buying the Beach Access Parking Permits so you may drive and park as you please on the beachs. Plenty of space for you and your family to spread out and relax and spend the day on. If you're like me and my family, we spend several hours at a time on the beaches. So its nice when you can find a clean and maintained beach. The city of Port Aransas does a great job at this!
Magsec50 — Google review
Plenty of parking space at the beach, but be careful or your car may get stuck in the sand. Nice beach, plenty of decent sized waves. Beware of hungry seagulls lol.

Baseball field
The Corpus Christi Hooks Baseball Club, a minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros, plays their home games at the scenic Whataburger Field. This Double-A team offers an opportunity to witness future MLB stars in action and provides a fun family outing in Corpus Christi. The ballpark often hosts various themed promotions during the summer months, adding to the excitement of the games. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions such as the Aquarium, Area Beaches, and American Bank Plaza while in town for a game.
My favorite place in town. There is nothing like baseball by the bay downtown. The stadium is my favorite ballpark to walk around and really experience what whataburger field is all about. There are so many different things to do at the stadium. Go experience Hooks baseball on a summer day 🏟️⚾️⚾️

We had an amazing time at the Corpus Christi Hooks game! The stadium is perfectly sized for a Double-A team, providing an intimate and energetic atmosphere. Our whole family enjoyed the game, and the prices are very accessible, making it a great outing for all. Plus, there are no bad seats in the house - every view is a winner! Bonus tip: parking is only $5 in the lot. We can't wait to come back and cheer on the Hooks again!

I really enjoyed my time here. Just a relaxing time to watch baseball. Traveled from Houston for a camping trip and we decided to check out two games while we were here, it was really fun and worth it. The suites are awesome and although they don’t offer free food like other suites I’ve been too, they’re still great. Me and the people I was with had the suite to ourselves and it was so relaxing! Awesome place, plan to come back here again one day.

Even though it was a school night, I could pass up the chance on seeing two Astros player playing with the Hooks. We had a great time. It was 4 for$40 promotion night which made it even more fun.

Everything about this place the team and staff are fantastic. Reason for the 4 stars, ordered Whataburger on 9/10. Was watching the girl with her latex gloves on, texting on her phone and with the same gloves makes my burger. I was throughly disgusted. Didn't eat it, told the counter chick, "no thanks." But took the drink anyways. Dr Pepper tasted like dirt. Think I'll just stick with bottle water n roasted peanuts.

The Corpus Christi Marina is a bustling hub for maritime activities, offering a picturesque waterfront experience. It is part of the Corpus Christi Bay Trail, which spans nearly 9 miles and connects various tourist attractions. The marina features numerous sailboats and recreational watercraft, with options to rent paddle boats, kayaks, and jet skis from vendors. Visitors can take leisurely strolls along the three T-head piers and dine at fine restaurants located at the end of these piers.
My recent visit to the Corpus Christi Marina was a true delight, offering a perfect blend of coastal charm, maritime excitement, and unbeatable hospitality. Nestled along the scenic shores of the Corpus Christi Bay, this vibrant marina serves as a gateway to endless adventures on the sparkling waters of the Gulf Coast. From the moment I arrived at the Corpus Christi Marina, I was impressed by its welcoming atmosphere and pristine surroundings. The sight of sailboats swaying gently in the breeze, fishermen casting their lines into the bay, and seagulls soaring overhead created a picturesque scene straight out of a postcard. As I strolled along the marina's boardwalk, I couldn't help but be captivated by the breathtaking views of the bay and the bustling harbor activity. The sight of colorful boats bobbing in the water, framed by the iconic Harbor Bridge and the downtown skyline, made for a truly unforgettable sight. In addition to its maritime offerings, the Corpus Christi Marina boasts a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy. From waterfront dining options serving up fresh seafood and refreshing drinks to boutique shops and art galleries showcasing local talent, there's something for everyone to discover and enjoy. Overall, my experience at the Corpus Christi Marina exceeded all expectations. Whether you're a seasoned sailor, a fishing enthusiast, or simply looking to soak in the beauty of the bay, this charming marina offers the perfect setting for unforgettable moments by the water. If you find yourself in Corpus Christi, Texas, be sure to pay a visit to the Corpus Christi Marina and experience its coastal magic for yourself.

Relaxing, to just sit and enjoy the view. Seems pretty safe to walk with young children. The bathrooms we're locked on the weekend, not sure why. The only thing I disliked was that there were too many broken bottles everywhere. Take your camera, a good variety of birds are in the vicinity. Plenty of restaurants in the area as well.
Paula H — Google review
Wonderful place to get out on the water and admire all of the lovely sailing vessels and water fowl! Absolutely enjoyed taking in the sights and sounds of the fisherman selling their fresh catches of the day! The Brown and White Pelicans were such a treat to see up close and personal! I'll definitely return to the Corpus Christi Marina! There are still so many places to eat and cruises to take here!!!!
El M — Google review
Might be the last nice area left in Corpus. The Marina is beautiful with fishing boats docked and selling fresh shrimp and crabs. The pier side restaurants are very nice and serve great seafood dishes and drinks. There is still a bay tour and even an evening bay tour that you can take wine and drinks on named the Japonica right next to a great floating dock restaurant. Landry's is a very nice restaurant with beautiful views. People fish there at night and you can watch them bring in some nice catches. Small paddle boats and sail boats can be rented for an afternoon of fun. Electric bikes and two seater bikes can also be rented and really fun peddling up and down the bay front to take in the sights. Worth the visit on the weekends.

Park
Nestled in uptown Corpus Christi, Blucher Nature Park is a serene escape from city life and a haven for birdwatchers. Despite its small size, the park offers beautiful natural scenery and well-maintained trails. It's a peaceful spot for couples to unwind and immerse themselves in nature. The park's lush greenery creates an urban jungle atmosphere, providing ample opportunities to observe wildlife and test your knowledge of plants and birds.
Wow! It was a very unexpected hotspot for so many birds! From the outside, it didn't seem very promising. Once inside, though, I was in paradise! I saw my first ever Green Jays, Great Kiskadees, and Monk Parakeets!
Tom G — Google review
I came here alone to maybe walk the trails and get some exercise. I was afraid. It was very overgrown. No one has mowed this place in a while. There were some homeless men there. That might have been OK if I wasn't a single female by myself in an overgrown wilderness. I was kind of afraid because all of the unsloved mystery TV shows came to my mind, so I just got out of there fast. I was kind of hoping to see some trails, but I didn't see any near the entrance. I don't know if there are any farther back. I was kind of afraid to go any further than I did. I talked to my coworker, who said it used to be a really nice park. I'm not sure what happened. Hopefully, they can get the vegetation under control and landscaped. I wouldn't come here as a single female. Maybe come with a group of people or something. It just didn't feel safe being a single female at this park.
Jasmine A — Google review
The park was lovely, hills and trails, lots of greenery and wild life best of all very quiet it's free to enter, there was a lot of bird watching
Eduardo C — Google review
Good wild place in the city to be with nature in a real life setting. It was clean and semi manicured enough to walk around freely. There are hidden areas that are allowed to become overgrown, which are great for wildlife. I will return to this place as a regular stop on my birding adventures. I did not feel in danger despite the aloneness, there were not any homeless people sleeping there, or hanging out. I think the police do a good job of keeping it free of vagrants. This is a free park with no gates.
Maryann L — Google review
It's pretty here for pics but the amount of homeless around was enough to not ever want to go back. Do not take your kids here.
Amber R — Google review
Friendly, professional, and quick! Happy with how it went.
SmoothRide S — Google review
This is more like a green space than a city park. There are no picnic tables, play sets, or bathrooms. There are trails that wander through the space under trees, so it's good for a little walk. However, if you like watching birds, it is a *great* place especially during spring and fall migration!

Nestled within the stunning Padre Island National Seashore at Bird Island Basin, this location boasts a half-mile stretch of pristine beach along the protected Laguna Madre—recognized as one of the premier windsurfing spots on the mainland U.S.A.
The location is fantastic for wind sports activities, windsurfing and foiling. The best is the customized attention given by Olivier and his staff. You'll get top notch equipment at reasonable price and free pro tips with a smile. All levels can find their fun here. I watched a beginner lesson and was impressed that all 4 managed a little sailing after less than of an hour of instruction.

It was my first time here and had a great time! We had a hour beginner session and then 2 hours to be on our own. Olivier, the instructor, was very knowledgeable and a great teacher. He was able to give instructions to the different people in the group and was very patient with everyone. Sidbury House, also known as the Britton Evans House or Centennial House, offers a glimpse into 19th-century life in Corpus Christi, Texas. Built in 1849 by Forbes Britton, it showcases the lifestyle of that era. The house was later owned by Charlotte King Cook Sidbury, a prominent civic leader.
I love the architecture! This building adds a lot to Heritage Park. While old, it definitely captures the aesthetic of the place very well. Definitely recommend the tours of this place as well as the other vintage homes. Well preserved by the city, considering the harsh humidity and hurricanes of the gulf coast.
