Visiting the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi was an unforgettable experience. The ship is massive and full of history, with well-preserved exhibits and interactive sections. One of the highlights was meeting Richard in the engine room he took the time to explain how the carrier operated and shared fascinating personal anecdotes. Talking with him truly brought the ship to life and made the visit even more special. If you're in the area, don’t miss this piece of naval history and the chance to meet passionate people like Richard.

Definitely a must to go see, but plan most of the day if you want to see it all, it's a big ship. They have bathrooms, cafeteria, a movie theater and a gift shop of course. Best if you don't go during the heat of the summer, not many cool spots. But if you don't mind sweating go ahead, they do have a little cooler spots here and there. Fun for the whole family and a big part of history.

My kids enjoyed the tour ages 16 and 11. The tour took about 2 hrs. It’s self guided. In a world where kids are glued to their phones and social media it captured their attention. I do not recommend this tour for toddlers, heels, dressy clothing or people with walking restrictions. Their is a lot of climbing (ladder style stairs). Dont forget to take your free picture, it cost $35 for the print out but the digital versions using the QR code are free. Parking was $5 directly across the street. It’s so much to do in the area so bring beach stuff, strollers etc to enjoy the day in the surrounding area.

This place was super cool. I went in with no expectations and half way mediocre experience. However, this place was a delight to visit. Whether you like big ships, or are a history buff this place is for you. Not only is it a museum with TONS to look at, you also get to explore an aircraft carrier (top deck, below deck through tiny corridors, etc). The only things I would warn about is some of the areas do not have air conditioning and the air is stagnant. So be prepared for some HOT areas during the summer. Some of the stairwells are very narrow and steep (but it added to the experience for me, but some individuals with mobility issues may struggle). All in all, great experience and blew me away. The escape rooms are great too!!! Check them out (they include admission to the ship) and let you do escape rooms IN the ship!

Went here a few weeks ago. Kid friendly. This place was absolutely amazing. They have 5 different tours to choose from and they explain everything about the ship, to the crew, the historical aspects, military honor, they even have a section on here about Pearl Harbor. Be prepared to learn about the history. If you want to get your steps in for the day, this is the place. Spent 5 hours here and walked over 10K steps. Highly recommend this for a day trip.

Great experience! There is a lot to learn not only about this ship, but a few others as well as about the crews that lived aboard. Note that while walking through the below decks, there are a few rooms that are very cold, which I would think would be a good break in between on the hotter days. It does take a good amount of time to walk and to listen/read everything.

This historic ship is worth visiting, offering a wealth of experiences from World War II in 1943. It contains so much information that no school, college, or even university will tell you in detail for your knowledge if you are as passionate about history as I am. A unique experience to live through, as it shows you what life was like at that time and what the crew was like in combat during those war years. Take your family so your children can see what history is all about.

While we were visiting Corpus Christi, we came across the art museum, it was a building showcasing some local talent, and art pieces from abroad. We had a great time learning about the history of the city. The art pieces were unique and did represent the south Texas and it culture. So if your looking for something to do then this is your place to sight see for easily over an hour.

This gorgeous space was designed by architect Philip Johnson and is a lovely environment to experience art. The building really harmonizes with its location on the waters edge of Corpus Christi Bay. Although the museum seems to be dedicated primarily to contemporary art, there is a small but very high quality permanent collection of Spanish Colonial art.

Great deal! $10 for a good chunk of art, SUPER reasonably priced stuff in the gift shop. I was surprised and grateful that the souvenirs were affordable. The staff was really friendly. The place was wheelchair accessible, except the 3rd floor which had loose carpet that made it a little harder to wheel around and a narrow walkway around the conference tables. The wheelchairs they provide for patrons were also unusually narrow so I'd recommend bringing your own or calling ahead to see if they've remedied that if you are large and need to borrow a chair.

The Art Museum of South Texas, in Corpus Christi had their Third Thursday event and we decided to go. A smallish museum it is full of beautiful works of art. Was an enjoyable event.

The museum has a beautiful location on the bay. It's a very nice building with kind workers. The museum was smaller than I thought it would be...you can make it through in an hour or so, and the "photography is art" exhibit was a little underwhelming, in my opinion. However, like most arts, it's subjective and you may love it. That said, the permanent exhibits were beautiful...I especially liked the Spanish/Texan/Mexican art area and the sculptures. Upstairs they had work from local school children and some are very talented. It was fun to see what the local kids can do too!

This was such an amazing visit! It is a bit on the pricy side (+$7 parking) but it’s worth it since the money goes to help the rescue and animals! I went during a weekday so it wasn’t packed at all. I was only planning on staying for an hour or two and ended up staying until close. I was able to catch the dolphin show at 3pm, which was magnificent!! The water is beautiful from there. They have swings where you can relax and watch the water or the USS Lexington, which is right next door! The aquarium itself has so many cool fish and staff who truly love their job! They are attentive and informative! I loved my visit here and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting!

Beautiful way to spend a very hot day. I'm a total aquarium nerd, and this was a treat! Lots of good info on the various species. Animals are healthy and happy. The dolphin show was so cute, you can tell they are having a blast!

Absolutely loved the dolphins show! Also, the otters are so fun to watch. Very interesting and informative. My grandchildren enjoyed everything. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price. I understand the animals have needs and I love that they rehabilitate a lot of them. But, it was $300 for 3 adults and 2 children. We stayed 2 hours but we missed an entire side, so I recommend getting there no later than 2.

My experience at the Texas State Aquarium with my family was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly staff, breathtaking exhibits, and an atmosphere full of excitement and wonder. The interactive displays kept our kids engaged the entire time, and the variety of marine life — from dolphins and sea turtles to sharks and stingrays — was incredible to see up close. The entire facility was clean, well-organized, and perfect for a full day of fun and learning. It was a memorable family outing that we’ll be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend it for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the ocean without leaving Texas!

The aquarium has beautiful tanks filled with happy critters. The birds are beautiful and the layout of well thought out. The staff genuinely seem to love what they do. Like most large aquariums it’s not an inexpensive day, but certainly worth the time and effort to see.

Really cool experience. The largest aquarium in Texas I ever visited. The admission fee was very expensive in my opinion but parking is free. I was impressed by the restaurant/cafe on site near the turtles exhibit. There’s also a very cool water park available to guest.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 Four Stars – A Great Family Adventure with Room to Grow! We had a fantastic time at the Texas State Aquarium! The exhibits were engaging, especially the dolphin show and the Caribbean Journey section – the sharks, rays, and sea turtles were crowd favorites. The aquarium does a great job of combining education with entertainment, making it a hit for both kids and adults. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My kids especially enjoyed the interactive touch pools and the splash pad area – great ways to cool off and burn some energy. The reason for four stars instead of five? Ticket prices are quite steep, especially for a relatively small aquarium when compared to similar facilities across the U.S. and internationally. For larger families, the cost adds up quickly. A few areas also felt a bit dated, and while the food options were okay, more variety would be a welcome improvement. Still, this is a gem in Corpus Christi and absolutely worth a visit if you’re in the area. With a few updates and more accessible pricing, this could easily be a five-star destination. We’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our visit. The orchids and butterfly house are beautiful. There is a small reptiles/animal area, the staff is very friendly and you can hold one of the snakes if you want. There is a small loop trail that we enjoyed and a longer trail which we did not have time for. The location is not huge, but it is definitely worth the visit. Our only disappointment was there is a miltary discount ticket price listed but when we asked for it as a retired Army family we were informed it is only for active duty military. However, even at full price $10 is worth it.

This is an expansive botanical and wildlife center with mainly reptiles. There are walking paths to the wetlands on boardwalks with an elevated birding platform and a butterfly pavilion. The paths have a considerable amount of shade to make walking pleasant even in the heat of summer. Plenty of parking in front of the center. It’s also a part of the American Horticultural Society reciprocal admissions program if you are visiting.

Very cool place. One of the most beautiful in all of Corpus Christi. would highly recommend. they have some funny parrots and some large tortoise as well.

This was my first time going here. I was pleasantly surprised. For the harsh south Texas weather this place has all kinds of beautiful flowers with plentiful walking trails where you can experience the natural terrain and the indigenous wildlife that are abundant in this area. Very well kept and maintained. Lots of shaded places where you can sit a while and take a break from the hot Texas sun. Plus I got plenty of ideas how I can create my own little oasis at my own personal property. It's a must see.

Love them. They have literally miles of hiking trails (though I do recommend shoes better than flip flops like we wore, lol) and it's not just pretty flowers, which they have in abundance and I could spend time just on that, but they are also a true nature preserve for both flora and fauna. Truly something to experience for yourself

Beautiful garden, wonderful animal exhibits and a great early morning summer activity. While it was 90+ degrees we had lots of shady spots to stop and rest. Very kind and caring staff, and low cost for families.

I loved seeing all the different gardens. The birds and reptiles were fun, too. The tortoises were large. My favorite was the orchid house.

We loved the interactive features for the kids, the little planetarium and each exhibition. There's something for everyone to enjoy. We will go again whenever we can.

My almost 3 year old and I had a blast. There was plenty to see and we were there for about an hour and half.

Second time visiting this place. Hasn't changed since the last time but my daughter was younger back then. She wanted to visit and see it again now that she's older. As before, she enjoyed the exhibits and interacting with the hands on exhibits as well. Highly recommend for families with children.

Very cool place, lots of things to look at but staff is very rude. Was rude and seemed like no one wanted us to be there. Was told 3 times when they close and followed us around at times checking on us to see when we were leaving. More than 30 min left telling us they close. If you dont want people here up until 5pm, chamge your hours to accommodate that or stop letting people in. We came at like 3:30 and felt rushed almost the entire time

This a very well laid out, comprehensive, and interesting museum. The primary areas are: Spanish & French exploration, rocks & gems, fossils, Kenedy ranch family history & possessions, and local history. There were many relics from old Spanish sailing vessels . We read most everything, and were there about four hours. Gave a different perspective on European exploration and all the treasure that were brought back to Europe.

If you’re a Selena fan, the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi is an absolute must! Even if you just love music history, it’s worth every penny and the entrance fee is only $5 per person for an experience you won’t forget. Walking into Q-Productions, where Selena recorded so many of her hits, gives you instant chills. I even got to stand in the exact spot where she once sang, and also where JLo stood and wow, I felt like a part of her story. The highlight of my visit? Meeting her nephew! That made everything feel so personal and real. Everywhere you look, there’s something amazing: her sparkling stage outfits (yes, the purple jumpsuit!), Grammy awards, red Porsche, gold and platinum records, Fabergé egg collection, MAC make-up endorsement and walls covered with fan art and rare photos. Seeing all her achievements and knowing she passed away so young really tugs at your heart. You can feel how the whole world mourned her via letters and messages from fans everywhere show just how deeply loved she was. The museum is small, but that’s what makes it feel intimate and authentic. Walking through feels like stepping into the Quintanilla family’s memories. You leave inspired, emotional, and humming “bidi bidi bom bom,” celebrating the life and legacy of the Queen of Tejano Music. 💜✨

My mom and I have been planning this trip to see the Selena Museum since I was 10 years old, and now in 2025 we finally made it! Selena Quintanilla Perez has always been a childhood icon of mine. She passed away when I was 4 years old, and at the time I did not understand what happened, but I saw millions of People in my hometown of San Francisco lighting a vigil for her, and carrying her photo. As I got older I understood more about her life and how much her music inspired me and my love for singing and performing. Coming to the Selena museum was an amazing journey and one that will always hold a special place in my heart. I also got to meet her father A.B Quintanilla in the office studio of the museum. The museum itself was remarkable and exhibited all of Selena’s life through photos, clothing, memorabilia and her famous 1980s Porsche car! This place is truly an amazing experience and one everyone who is a fan must visit. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of fans forever and will continue to do so. She may be gone, but never forgotten!

I was a Jehovah’s Witness when she passed, so I felt a connection to her and her family through our shared faith. Now, with a more spiritual perspective, I understand her impact in a deeper way. Selena left behind more than music or memories. She left behind a feeling—a kind of inner strength, joy, and purity—that we can still connect to within ourselves. The museum is simple and respectful, filled with love. I’m grateful I visited. It reminded me that even brief lives can leave something eternal.

Awesome experience! My wife introduced me to Selena, and her music & background. We watched the series about her together before making a trip to visit here. It was amazing to see the studio where she had actually stood and recorded for a short time. It was humbling to see the 100’s of awards throughout the showroom area, showcasing her extreme talent.

This was a super wonderful experience! I had to hold my emotions because Selena once stepped in here. Out of 9 songs she recorded at this location, “Dreaming of You” was the only one that came out. And meeting Abraham was epic!

Beautiful tribute to Selena. I didn’t know that was originally supposed to be her recording studio. Everything was beautifully done. Gift shop had great memorabilia at reasonable prices. The first part (the studio) is a brief guided tour with stories regarding what she recorded there. It is only about 10-15 mins long, then the rest of it is self-guided. Total time we were there was probably 45 mins to an hour. Suitable enough to bring your kids and it may even be wheelchair/scooter-friendly, if you request to go in “backwards” through the exit door where you would normally come out at the end of the tour. Otherwise, a big step up is required to gain access to main part of museum/where you pay. Only thing I would request is that you open on Saturdays! We put this as our last stop on our way back home to Dallas on Monday, which added some time to our drive, but it was worth it.

My 2nd time to visit since 2017. Loved it. I met selena mom, suzette husband and Ricky vela! They were super nice! I always wanted to take a picture and say hi to Selena mom. She was very sweet.

Mustang Island State Park is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. We stayed at Site #3, which was easy to access and offered a great view — perfect for relaxing or enjoying a walk along the shore. The beach was clean, the water was clear, and the park was well maintained throughout. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was calm and family-friendly. A wonderful spot for a beach getaway.

Mustang Island State Park is a beautiful spot to enjoy the Texas coast! The beach access is excellent — it’s easy to get to the sand and the beaches themselves are wide, clean, and absolutely gorgeous. It’s a great place to relax, take a walk, or just enjoy the ocean breeze. The RV park, while convenient, is more of a parking lot setup than a traditional campground, so don’t expect much privacy or scenery there. However, the location makes up for it — it’s close to Corpus Christi, with plenty of restaurants and shopping just a short drive away. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to visit for the beaches and convenience, especially if you’re looking to explore the area.

We probably would not stay at this campground again because it was so humid. You could not see the beach from the campground, but you could walk around the dune about a quarter mile to actually get to the beach. The bathroom facilities were very nice with many shower stalls too. We had 50 amp service with good water pressure and there was a dump site near the exit to the RV campground. There were lots of tents around the RVs, which made it not as nice and there were zero trees. The wind was very strong 100% of the time I was afraid I would have to stake down my truck (just kidding). I can’t believe anyone would camp in a tent here because it’s so hot and so humid you couldn’t possibly have a good night sleep. If you were looking for a place to relax this probably isn’t it. It is very windy and very hot and humid. The people in tents must’ve been miserable. Had we known we didn’t have to buy a $12 annual pass to park on the beach at Aranza’s beaches, not at the state park. You could go on any beach with this annual pass, some people had their RVs on those beaches.

Beautiful, clean beach. We saw lots of marine life. The water was the perfect temperature for me. I'd definitely come back next time we're in the area.

We enjoyed camping on the beach all weekend! We have a parks pass so it was less than $10. With clean portatoilets, picnic tables, and waste bins every few feet, the experience was much better than the free beach front down the way.

This was an awesome place to spend the night at the beach without crowds. It was very serene and peaceful. The ocean water was warm and calm. The sand was pleasant to walk on the shore and inside the water. This beach is very clean and well taken care of it the park personnel.

A beautiful and peaceful beach that's clean and soft sand as far as the eye can see. The water is shallow enough you can walk way out into the bay and the crabs all over the beach are so cute!

Easy to find. Hard to get into. The entrance is not the street front but by the parking lot in the back. But has awesome stuff. Lots of history. Totally free. Its small but lots to read lol. Staff totally friendly. And even the dog! It is surrounded by restaurants and little shops so there is other stuff to do once your out.

Before dining at Water Street Oyster Bar drop in for a look around at this quaint little museum right next door. Admission is free! The close at 7:00 pm so you probably to see this before dining. The staff seems really dedicated.Check it out.

I loved this place. So much memorabilia. We learned a lot about Pat Magee and Mike. The staff was super nice and informative about the beach area and where to see the real waves at.

Very cool people and although the museum is small, it is worth leaving a small donation to enjoy viewing old surfing boards and learning a bit about surfing in the meanwhile

This place made me wish I knew how to surf and that I was 25 again! It was really cool! Bought a shirt and going to go back and buy another one! Gavin helped me along with his dog Hennessey! They both rocked!

Conceptually interesting, but not much to see unless you're interested on architecture. Bravo to the city for supplying space to collect and preserve the old houses of the city.

Beautiful historical buildings. Gorgeous walkway throughout. Small Hispanic Cultural Museum. Lovely staff. Beautiful pieces. Very informative and they love to tell you about the pieces if you ask. You can’t go inside most of the homes and a few are in disrepair, but overall absolutely beautiful.

Great Place, They Usually Have Festival Here, And The Old House's On Site Are A Great Reminder Of Homes Were Built.

If you love history then this is a Great place to take a step back in time and see the many homes that were built in Corpus Christi and read of the family's that lived in them some from the late 1800,s to early 1900,s keep up the good work Heritage Park in preserving and sharing are local history.

Very beautiful historic houses nice to walk and the end of the day

I had a great time this past weekend at the Jazz Festival at Heritage park. Lots of cool vendors and food. Lots of music on 3 stages kept the event exciting. With the exception of one stage losing power. I attended on Saturday. Got my turkey leg. There are also historic sites here to see.

Would have been cooler if the houses were open the heritage center was also closed, even though Google and the sign on the front said it would be open. It was nice to see the houses from the outside. They are whelmed would have liked to go in.

Even though it was a warm evening, the breeze made it pleasant to watch a ball game. Reasonable prices in a well constructed stadium. We went on a night with food promotions which were very budget friendly. Fun promotions. It was a great night.

My granddaughter and I met some friends at the beautiful Whataburger Field for Kingsville Day and had the Best time! We had great seats for a great price and we were very entertained with the ballgame and all the activities and food. We look forward to attending another game very soon!

Great experience, we had great seats right by the dugout. Going to different baseball games and fields's is something I've always enjoyed ever since I was little.

Hey Batter batter..... SsWwingG!! Up from SPI 2hr drive, completely different Texas. This ball field is fantastic. Clean, well organized, plenty of food and drink options at a very reasonable price! Every single employee and volunteer was extremely polite and professional. The facilities are well-maintained and easy to navigate. The field is ADA-compliant as well. Will come back for sure. My only complaint is, I didn't hear one Bell from ACDC Hells Bells. Really??? Plotted. Scouts Out..

Great minor league ballpark! Seats are pretty inexpensive. Plenty of food options especially Whataburger inside the park! No combos just a la carte. I ordered a burger & fries & bought a souvenir cup for free refills. Entertainment between innings was fun. Sitting left field has sun behind you & right field facing sun.

If you have nit been to Whataburger field, you are missing out. As a child I didn't have the experience of going to a game. But you best believe I'm doing it for my kids. This place helps to make memories with your family and friends. Check it out.

This is one of the most beautiful places , you would want to visit when you are here !

The Art Center is for artists to display, sell, and learn. It is free, with a simple box for donations. The current main display is the gowns from the Las Donas de la Corte event; usually only 3 weeks displayed. Small side galleries and hallways filled with ceramics, jewelry, inspired pieces and paintings. There is a wonderful, slightly pricey, restaurant connected to The Art Center; great drinks and very good food.

This is my second time to the art center. I definitely recommend when you are in corpus to check out this place. They have many art pieces raining and very surprises as little as seven dollars for some earrings up to several thousand dollars for art piece. I have gotten several small things, but I would say these coasters are my favorite. The food is phenomenal as well. The restaurant that is located inside.

This is our 2nd time visiting this place and we really enjoy it. There is a lot of neat art work for sale from local artists. It looks like they even have added event space and a restaraunt or cocktail bar in the building. This is definitely a unique location and its worth coming to check out from time to time.

Its so neat. It's a place that displays art . It also has resident artists that you may see working on their creations. You can also buy the art that you like. There is a restaurant inside also. The views of the marina are beautiful. And its free

As a tourist attraction, the galleries at the art center are definitely worth a visit and there's no entrance fee if you choose to do so. This review is primarily for those interested in hosting an event or wedding in one of the available venue spaces. The art center is gorgeous and there are wonderful views in the Bay View room. I would be cautious recommending these venues primarily because the communication regarding rental coordination isn't the best. Other venues we reached out to when trying to get information usually provided us most of what we needed in the first couple of emails. In this case, it took several emails to get all of the needed information, as the coordinator would forget to provide certain documents, or answer questions that were asked. Due to the communication issues, we decided to go with a different venue, but it is a beautiful space.

So much amazing and local art here! We had the pleasure of visiting during the week and had the whole place to ourselves to enjoy. I’m not sure who the gentleman was at the front, but I really appreciate his mentality when we asked him how much the admission fee was and he plainly said something around the lines of, “It’s free. Art should always be free to enjoy”. Thank y’all for all the great art and for keeping it free for everyone to enjoy 😊 I believe you can also purchase some of art. We will definitely be back. Below are some of my favorite pieces of art!

I’ve been to the attached restaurant once at the behest of close friends who raved about it & my experience didn’t align with theirs. This is the second time I visited the gallery portion & found it really awe-inspiring, the unlimited heights of human creativity. Then I had to visit the Men’s room & both trips’ visits yielded disgust & disappointment. The seats of both stalls had feces all over toilets & seats & bowls/urinal almost overflowing with stale urine. This is enough to make me want to not return. I know it’s not easy with an open access facility & lots of transient foot traffic, homeless trespassers, etc, but this problem hardly seems new. I hope they do better going forward.

went there as i was curious how long it would take me to walk the bridge and how difficult. it is easy. you can wear flip-flops to walk this bridge. from entrance to the highest point takes no more than 10 minutes. the perspective from a high point looking down is awesome. everyone should do it at least one just for the experience. i do NOT recommend doing it during peak traffic hours because the smell from the exhaust isn't pleasant.

One day when I'm much more older and hopefully wiser, I can look back at these memories and tell my grandkids and great grandkids.. tell them before this was here, there I was. And one day we'll all be gone and someone else will be.

Visited corpus christi 2 Years ago when we had to cross the Harbor Bridge. It is a through-arch bridge. The bridge was adorned with a LED lighting system. Sadly, the lights were removed due to corrosion on the brackets of the bridge. The last night the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge lights were lit was June 13, 2021. We were lucky to witness the stunning illumination on the bridge. The lighting created a magical nighttime ambiance with its reflections on the river. A captivating experience worth cherishing!

Lovely location! I will miss it when it's eventually gone. I like going under to the entrance of the port and watching the ships come in.

Whether you are in the area day or night, this bridge is a beauty. The build of this bridge is beautiful from every angle you look at it. The best view is from the Texas State Aquarium.

This is a great bridge. Be careful and keep in mind that there are frequent exit closures, so take the first exit that you can. At its peak the bridge is 275 from the water.

Not dog friendly. We were at Art walk, which was amazing. P.D. was super helpful, vendors were friendly, and the people all got along. Till we got to kspace with our dog and were refused entry Emily said all dogs, service dog or not, were not allowed so we left, let you all know, and will never think about this place again.

Small art gallery. No admission charge. They always have great exhibits. They’ve expanded into the space that faces Chaparral and relocated the gift shop to that area. Typically they have an opening reception for new exhibits during first Friday Art Walk. There’s also a cool mural of lotería pieces reimagined by south Texas artists on the exterior wall of the building, accessible and visible from Chaparral.

Building was hotter than it was outside. The art was melting. Its actually a pretty decent gallery most of the time. Interesting work by talented folk.

This is such a fun gallery. I've been to a ton of events here from openings to concerts. I always try to make it in when we hit Art Walk.

The back wall of the K Space Contemporary building is decorated with a huge display of the Mexican bingo game la loteria. It is very colorful and neat to look at all the cards. Where is El Borracho though :-)

My daughter and I went for a cooking class they were holding. We had a lot of fun! The instructor and staff were so nice! They host a variety of cooking and crafts classes. We then toured the museum and small gift shop. I had no idea there was even an Asian museum until this class. I highly recommend it!!

I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at all the Asian displays and interactive stations. This is definitely a place that I enjoyed visiting. They also have cooking and martial arts classes. It was nice to see something from the Ainu, my ancestors.

The highlight is an incredible display of hundreds of Hakata dolls. The entry price is very reasonable and helps to support the museum.

Great time to spend with family at the Cherry 🌸 Blossom Festival... Great food, great vendors. I just expected to see more of the displays....

I've been here for a few cooking classes and then recently got a ceramic class. They have fun activities and classes to get involved with, and their museum is nice. The staff is very friendly and informative. There are some new upcoming things that I'm excited to join in. Check out out!

Great place to see art from the Asian culture, kids can create origami and try calligraphy.

They're a small museum, but I really liked going. There were so many interesting things; like the dolls, which I didn't think I'd find interesting, but they turned out to be incredible! Since they have loads more artifacts which they rotate in every so often it's definitely worth going back to see more! The gift shop doesn't have much, but their lucky cat key chains are cute 😸

Downtown seawall is beautiful. My early morning visit allowed me the privilege of watching the sun rise over the water which was absolutely breath taking. It’s unbelievably peaceful. You can gaze upon the water or people watch both in peace. You’ve got people riding bikes on their morning bike ride, couples talking a morning stroll, You have people walking their dogs which was no inconvenience as everyone wants to enjoy their time, and they all seem to clean up after them. You can watch the boats and tugger go in and out of the port, and sometimes you may catch a large ship making its way in or out as well. That marina is just a short walk down as well. The park is beautiful and clean, with scooter rentals available. The workers may be out cleaning up or cruising past but they’re all incredibly respectful and helpful. You can not go wrong with a morning visit here.

It’s a place you just want to visit once and that too in day light, there are no restaurants or food truck in evening, along with that the place is surrounded by bunch of homeless people trying to attack the passing vehicles. Try to avoid this location specifically in night, not safe for family to drive around the downtown CC

Downtown Beach in Corpus Christi is a beautiful place early in the morning. If you ever get a chance... check it out. Relax and enjoy the view. This is what I'm use to seeing every time I come downtown in the morning.💯👑💎🤝🏾

The Marina Arts District is simply FANTASTIC!!!! The look, feel, and vibe keeps me coming back to Corpus Christi over and over again. So much to photograph! So much to see and experience! Outstanding, top-notch dining, craft beer, art, entertainment, museums, the T-heads.... I'm in love with a city, and her name is Corpus Christi.

This place should be called Corpus Satan, the industrial plants here caused serious respiratory issues to my friend and almost died. I’m not a woke person or a liberal but straight up this place is like the Corpse of Satan was decaying in the lands entering in. The decaying stench of Satan caused serious Respiratory Issues in my friend. Don’t come here.

First time going a few months ago .. it was better than expected.. I am new here so we enjoyed it.. prices are what are expected… plenty to do with the indoor exhibits and the rodeo that’s going on the entire time of the event. There was a lot of people but I it very spread out so it doesn’t really feel congested . If your planing to ride the rides spend the extra Cash and get a bracelet.. worth coming back to once a year ..

The $10 gate entry fee allows you access to enjoy pig races, petting zoo, shows, and much more. Great selection of carnival rides for young kids and teens/adults. My family has a fun time every year. Tip: Save $$ and buy $25 all you can ride presale carnival wristbands.

NEVER AGAIN! rodeo was ok ... but the parking HORRIBLE! (as usual, but worse!) we arrived at ABC at 6:00pm, the rodeo started at 7:00pm. we drove around for 55 minutes trying to find a place to park. impossible! husband finally dropped me off as i am unable to walk too far without causing leg pain. still ended up having to walk 5 blocks around carnival to get to rideo entrance. he ended up having to park 3/4 - 1 mile away and still pay $20. unvelievable! did not get into rodeo until 7:30, we missed opening ceremony and at least 2 events. WHY ... WHO'S IDIOTIC IDEA ... JUST STUPID THINKING was it to put the carnival right in front of arena entrance? the rodeo and carnival are not related other than being part of buc days, there is absolutely no reason to place them together. absolutely ruined the rodeo by blocking access everywhere, then blocking roads off. there are other areas to set up carnival, therefore spreading out people and traffic flow, parking and access to events spread out so there is at least reasonable expectations and enjoyment is possible. it is way too expensive to have such a horrible experience every time! 1 1/2 hours to find parking to pay $20 to park 3/4 -1 mile away. the abc planning and management is the absolute worst! we have wasted at least around $2000 over the last 3 years and can say EVERY event was a dissappointment! (it isn't the entertainers or events, it is abc's incompetant management of it!) we are done, DONE with abc ripping us off with their complete incompetency!!! from now on we will spend the $ to go and stay out of town so we can enjoy the events we pay for. i absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND any event at abc unless your expectations are really rock bottom. 1 star given to post, but a minus 5 star deserved.

Called to see when dollar day was since I was unable to locate it online myself and spoke to a woman who was very rude and told me to just google it when I told her she was being rude she claimed she was not whoever was on the phone today was not customer friendly and needs to seek employment else where.

Had fun this year can't wait till next year.

I paid $350 upfront for a specific location to be a food vendor. When I got there I was told it was not available. They put me in another unacceptable and unsafe location in the back of a parking lot. Cars were literally a few feet from my serving window. No place for customers to stand. A Buccaneer official tried to move us to another location. He told us to shut everything down and get ready to move. Removed the hot grease in fryer and got ready. When he came back he said he was over ruled by a higher authority. He said he would get us our entry fee back since we didn't get the location we paid. After phone calls and emails since, no one has responded to me. Bad business by the Buccaneer Commission.

The Easter bunny came and read a story with the toddlers at playtime today. Every employee i have tub across has been polite and helpful.

La Palmera Mall is a fantastic retail destination- clean, well-organized, and home to a solid mix of stores from national brands to local boutiques. I found everything I was looking for without feeling overwhelmed, and the layout makes it easy to navigate. The food court offers a nice variety of dining options, perfect for shoppers wanting a quick bite or a sit-down meal. I also appreciate the comfortable seating areas and family-friendly spaces. A few small areas could use a refresh-some of the restrooms were beginning to show wear, and I noticed a few stores looking a bit dated. But overall, the mall feels safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. If you're in Corpus Christi and want a convenient, all-in-one shopping trip, La Palmera is a solid choice. Minor updates would take it from great to perfect!

First time here; I was impressed. It was clean! Only two people asked me for money! Elevator worked and didn’t make weird noises going up and down. Food court is nice with plenty of options and even some around the mall. Check it out!

I've been in several of the stores, but the one I am so pleased about is actually a vending machine run by a local. Cariños Bakery has many unique flavors and some traditional cake flavors. All that I have tasted are just perfectly balanced with the flavors coming through in a delightful way. They were moist and delicious! The vending machine is just inside the entry closet to Longhorn Steakhouse.

Nice place in La Palmera Mall for the Kids to run around! It was nice and cool and clean the Kids loved it definitely will be back ..

The mall is really nice and less busy then most malls I've been to. Though it could be that I was there on a Sunday. It has 2 floors and very nice food court but not much selection outside of multiple Asian restaurants. Since the size was small it didn't take more than 15 minutes to walk the whole thing. But they did have every store I was looking for.

We love visiting the bay area at Corpus Christi Texas. December is always cool and crisp, sunny or cloudy. Enjoy!

Beautiful sunsets is the first that comes to mind. With great dining and accommodations close by. Something here for everyone including festivals for the entire family to a happening nightlife for singles and couples. There is lots of good fishing spots or maybe charter a sunset cruise.

We parked on the low turnoff facing East. Great easy to park and access the bay. So far mostly crabs biting our lines with fresh bait. Has a great deal of illumination and ample room for parking.

The water glistening, wind blowing, all kinds of Bay beaches and parks. What's not to love. I love just sitting on the rocks just watching the water, birds, or boats passing by. So many beautiful places to visit along the bays

One of the best parishes I have ever been to! Such a down to earth and mellow group but also very reverent. The choir is very special. Father Stembler. Father Francis, Bishop Michael and Deacon Leal and Deacon Brady everyone is just so awesome. Amazing community.

Beautiful, Holy place. Unique stained glass views of the progression from Abraham, to Malkezidech, to manna in the desert, to Jesus multplying leaves and fishes, to the institution of The Eucharist. Great organ and choir loft. Beautiful tabernacle. Would be better behind the altar. Still reverent and beautiful. A great place to be for Divine Mercy Sunday Mass after losing Pope Francis Easter 2025. Great homily today also, Father.

I went to a funeral of a beloved friend here. The church is lovely. The organ was fantastic. The music sounded like angels were singing. But I was in a bad mood. It is hard to give up a friend who you really love.

We attend Palm Sunday mass. Beautiful place; great mass.

This church is very beautiful. We shoot wedding videos there often and it is both a great place to work and to have a wedding. The lighting is not great for video, but the building's beauty more than makes up for it. The choir here always does a great job and we appreciate that they are located in a second story choir loft. The wedding coordinator here is also very agreeable to work with.

If you’re into history this is worth checking out. Park and take a walk through the cemetery and you’ll see stones from pre-1900 as well as historical markers describing some of the people buried on site. Area around the cemetery is a bit run down so be aware of your surroundings.

The cemetery is great, for the most part undisturbed, we went last year in the wintertime as the Voices of South Texas did a great informational display for all to see for free, what is really cool is all the history of this place that most dont know about, i have lived here my entire life and never knew it was even here, we explored the whole place and look forward to this years event.

It is very sad that the city does not keep up with this historical landmark. I went there this weekend and was very disappointed in its appearance. I loved it for the history but I would love to see this maintained and respected.

The Watergarden is located in the center of Corpus Christi’s arts, cultural and science museums. It is FREE to the public and open 6a to 10pm. The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. There is handicap parking nearby. Beautiful area, very relaxing and serene. This is the perfect place for a family picnic or just to walk around. If you visit at night, you can enjoy LED lighting.

They turned the water back on so the wife and I took the motorcycle down there one evening and checked it out! It was dusk so we saw it come alive with lights flickering it was pretty impressive. Also a night ride of lighted bikes was leaving and they did a lap around the water garden on the way out it was pretty neat! Totally recommend this local sight!

Pretty nice spot to chill and enjoy the sounds of the water flow in ever direction. It has a Compas in the middle and security walking so you feel safe the water is clean. Highly recommend seeing.

It is still very beautiful as ever before. But due to water limited the flow of the lovely river that was once there is not hardly there. But I do recommend to visit especially during the night enjoy an eventful evening when it lights up

It had been a long time since we went to see the water gardens and so much has changed. Whoever worked this project from any angle did an amazing job! Thank you! Definitely go after dark so you can see the light effects.

Beautiful, serine calming ambiance

There is uneven pavement in and around the venue area. Be careful where you step! high inclines in some areas ... seats in the seating reservation stage area were very uncomfortable, small and flimsy plastic ... for being a large concert venue, they have small screens to view the artist performing ... Will not spend my hard earned money at this concert venue! Not worth it! Would have been much better at the ABCenter🇺🇸 Friendly staff though ☺️ Willie Nelson was awesome! 👍🏼 🎙🎸🎶🤠

It was really fun, we went and saw koe wetzel, the stage had an interesting setup where fire would shoot out. We got tickets in the pit, but I will warn that the tickets were maybe 150$. And everything there was a little pricey, but the experience its self was a 10/10. 4 stars

Had a blast! We have been to a few outdoor Amphitheaters and this one was up there on the list of favorites! Cody Jinks put on a heck of a show!

THE STAGE HAS MORE ROOM THE GA HAD TONS OF ROOM...MORE BEER VENDERS DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE LONG...EVEN THE LIQOUR BAR WAS FAST...BARTENDERS WHERE EXCELLENT.. THE SEATED AREA IN BACK AREA WAS NICE YOU COULD SEE THE STAGE PERFECT BUT AT $500 TO SIT THERE WAS A BIT STEEP...IF YOU GO WITH A FEW FRIENDS GREAT PKACE TO SIT... ALL IN ALL...THE AMPHITHEATER WAS A GREAT PLACE TO GO SEE A BAND....

always a good time when coming to concerts here!! the staff is absolutely amazing. Beverly made sure we got our full experience by making sure we got our pit wrist bands and keeping in contact with us leading up to the show! will always love going to concerts here, never had any issues getting tickets.

Great concert line ups. Vip seating is great. However, if you are going to have e VIP seating and only one way in you should have other choices other than alcohol to drink. Not everyone drinks alcohol. Soft drinks should be an option as well. We shouldn't have to walk all the way back to the front just to get a drink.

Wow, what a lot of fun. We were in the pit and were able to get close to the stage. The only thing I would say that can be improved is more ventilation.

My absolute favorite in CC, I never expected to taste something so good in a small town in Texas! When I thought their drinks are already so tasty, their food is out of this world……I can really tell the craftsmanship, quality and creativity in the dishes, would definitely have it on my must eat list. Guess I will have to come every week

Wanted to check this place out a while ago, finally went on Wednesday and it did not let me down at all. Food is amazing, the sushi dishes are some of the best I ever had. Sat at the bar and there is a great variety of drinks to choose from too, the bartenders recommend some food and they are absolutely delicious. Definitely will be back for the crispy onion albacore!!!

Everything is very well presented and tasted amazing, all the staffs were greeting us the second we walked in and it feels super welcoming. Services were great as well. If you’re a sushi lover don’t hesitate to come here!

As a sushi connoisseur, I will give this place ok vibes ....sushi restaurants usually require a few visits to fully taste everything and find what you like. All in all ok, not the most amazing and definitely not the worst .... Prices are on par with trendy sushi places. Expect to spend $$. rolls were hit or miss, lemon wedges on a roll with the rind, doesn't make much sense, since you can't eat the rind.....would I eat here again? Maybe if I was local, but definitely was not an omg this is the best I ever had sushi....

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would. This restaurant has been a long time favorite of mine, but they’ve stepped up their game!! Everything was absolutely incredible- from the drinks to the food, this was a truly elevated experience.

Absolutely terrible and full of disappointment! My husband and I went for dinner here on my birthday trip. We ordered Tai Chi Rolls and Dokyo House Rolls and from the description, Tai Chi Rolls supposed to have SEARED ESCOLAR, and Dokyo House Rolls supposed to have yellowfin tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore . All I see are rices and wrap, and a thinly hair-like slice of look to be like yellowtail. We pointed out to the server and he said it's in there. Again, we do not see anything remotely orange for salmon. THIS IS SUCH A SCAM AND PATHETIC!!

We really liked the vibe of this place. Sort of fancy, Studio Ghibli classics playing behind, nice drinks.. the adults ordered some fish dish I’d never tried before but was really good and some sushi, which was decent. Our kids chicken teriyaki however was barely edible. For the price of this place and the quality I’d probably go 3.5/5.

We came for the live music but wow, the food. We sat outside under a giant shade tree and listened to live music on the patio. Bar service was super nice and went out of their way to get us what we needed. The homemade bread is on point but they had one of the best simple wedge salads I've had in a while. Probs cause I'm usually eating tacos. Then the coconut shrimp with raspberry sauce, man howdy. Too many reasons to come back.

The Tarpon Inn is a niche hotel. A bedroom, bed, sink, toilet and shower. No tv. No dining table. Quaint, quiet, a trip back in time. Rooms are very clean. Service is top notch. The location is perfect. The Tarpon Inn is about a very simplistic stay for those seeking a trip back in time for a rustic experience with air conditioning.

Wonderful, service-hearted staff from the hotel to the restaurant. Jen at the front desk gave us a tour without hesitation so we could see more of the rooms. Really recommend the FDR suite for 2+ day stays. Great food! Beautiful rooms, and in great shape for the building’s age and for being in a beach town. You can tell the management and staff really care about the maintenance of everything.

We booked a room. Checked in and they gave us a different persons room so we had left the hotel had to come back and let them know it wasn’t our name nor our room. So they gave us our room we leave come back at 12am and the key doesn’t work on the door knob I recorded where we tried it soo many times so we can show them in the morning because no one was there at night. Luckily we had family who rented a house so we stayed with them.we go back the next morning and they try to the key and the girl struggles to open the door and she got it open. They didn’t refund us our money because of their “policy”. Very disappointing and I was soo frustrated!! I Do not recommend.

I just got back from a girls' weekend at this gem of a hotel and everyone in my group loved the property. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. They offer all the modern amenities but preserve the hotel's historical integrity. This type of charm isn't something you find in many properties these days. I personally loved looking at all the historical pictures our room and in the lobby. The lobby has tarpon scales with past visitors' names on them--even one from Franklin Roosevelt! I spent a while just walking around and looking at all of them. We also had dinner and breakfast at 1886 (one of the restaurants on the hotel's property), and the food was *amazing*. We ordered two orders of the focaccia bread (one wasn't enough!) and the crab cakes were so, so good! The breakfast was great as well. Everything was fresh and delicious--especially the beignets! Also, if you stay at the hotel, you get a discount of golf carts at Tarpon Carts, which is located right next to the property. We had one, and it was extremely convenient to be able to walk right next door for pickup and drop-off. I highly recommend this hotel! It's a unique spot with friendly service!

Poor training at the MOTOR VEHICLE DEPT. there is never any consistency and turn over is ridiculously high. They need a raise!

Got a citation for speeding with a court date of 5/26/25. That is a holiday, the courts will be closed. Very cool. I tried to call 30 separate times over 5 days (not exaggerating) and no one answered. Finally someone answered and told me my ticket wasn't in the system yet, despite it occurring 2 weeks prior. Finally now on 5/20/25 I called again and was able to get ahold of someone after an hour of calling. Lastly, to take the defensive driving course I would of had to mail in a copy of my license and insurance and a money order for $144. That is just the court fee, not even the fee for the course. This courthouse is a joke and they don't care about helping people, they just want to make it as inconvenient as possible for you, so you have no choice but to miss your court date (scheduled on a holiday) and have a warrant, or pay the fine without contesting it.

I had my step daughter see judge Benavides and she was being bullied very badly and got in trouble for defending herself. In the beginning we were told the children can choose no contest to speak with judge and we did that and judge still found her guilty when she chose no contest. Unfortunately my step daughter had to be removed from an unsafe environment and we made sure she got her hours done and classes done. I did call the office and was told the judge wanted to speak with me and to bring my daughter. Well today we went over there and the lady was rude and seem to not care and said “the judge is not even here today” And that basically we were wasting our time. I did believe and trust the judges secretary to bring my daughter to speak with the judge and it feels like we were let down. I’m not saying my daughter is perfect but cmon I thought the judge wanted to be there and help our teens and would always be available I really wanted the judge to help with the things that have happened, so either the secretary lied to me or she lied to me for the judge. Judge Benavides please help.

AND PROCEEDED TO TELL HER IM FROM SA AND HERE IN CC AND THE WHOLE BUILDING IS CLOSED. THANK GOODNESS MY SISTER DIDNT DRIVE FROM SA TO SIGN PAPERS AT THE COURT HOUSE. WOULD HAVE WASTED HER DAY AND GAS MONEY. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER. ANOTHER REASON TO SELL THIS PROPERTY. THIS CITY/ COUNTY IS RUN VERY POORLY. ANOTHER SIGN THAT SELLING IS THE RIGHT MOVE. MOVED HERE 2 YRS AGO. CALLED CITY TO FIND OUT WHY COUNTY OFFICE WAS CLOSED. RUDE And proceeded to tell me five times that they’re the county and she’s the city and I told her I get that but the number you’re gonna give me is only gonna call them which they’re closed so I’m just curious if there’s any other way to find out why they’re closed when you should be open just like you’re at work. I said they should be at work today today ain’t no different.

When you need to pay a fine the card readers wont work or they charge interest so you have to use the ATM. when you have questions they dont really want to help. Juvenile court, is everyone going into the courtroom together all at once and takes 3 hours or more if you're the last person. The guy Judge was pretty nice but I hate this place. If my stupid kid stays out of trouble I hope to never go back.

MISSY MEDARY NEEDS TO LEAVE!! Change judges if possible. 347th missy medary. I was suppose be on probation for 5 yrs. Ended up being on for 8 because I couldnt pay for probation fees. Did all my classes and everything, even enrolled in welding at stvt since I couldn’t find a job. Missy was out sick or something the last time I had court. I forgot the judge I had but she saw my paperwork and asked why was I still on probation and immediately approved my case for dismissal. Missy lets her emotions get to her. If someone pisses her off she takes it out on the rest of the people there for court. A woman said she had done meth and hanging with felons and just disobeying Missy, but she let her go, I owed money to probation and she locked me up for 3 months. Missy needs to leave office if she’s going to let her emotions run the court!

Nueces county courthouse is a damn joke! I’ve been waiting to get my custom license plate and finally got the time off work to come get them and pay another fee to release my plate to me and there closed the day after Easter (Monday) those employees are in the a/c working behind a desk

Have lived around the corner from this park and it has been going down hill. The last 6 months the homeless population has grown In the park and due to that, the park has become a public rest room they bath in the drinking fountain and the just squat and relive their bouls every where in the park. It's disgusting used needles and broken glass everywhere. Hope the city can do something about it.

The day of the dead festival is one of my favorite events to go to every year. There are always good food and great music. But it's better if you go with someone because you can have someone to experience it with.

Cool underground tunnel connecting upper Corpus Christi business district to the market area below! Music from the Art Walk echoes through the tunnel and bounces around d the tall buildings. Very eerie but beautiful effect!

It's a nice park but quite small & not enough parking. On the Pokemon Go side, there are 2 pokestops & 2 gyms very close.

I went to a rummage sale there and bought a ceiling fan on the boxes it said it works fine the next day I hooked it up and it didn't work so I thought calling them and getting my money back cause it didn't work would be fine but I guess not cause they said no all sells are final I just can't believe that you would sell some thing that don't work and not make right but thats fine keep the money will not ever go back again

Principal didn't give my son not even 10 minutes and she said no to attending school there he wasn't fit for there school very disappointed even said it in front of him. Worse Principal I've ever spoke to very unprofessional. Totally unbelievable...

St. Pius X in Corpus Christi is the church that convinced me to convert from protestant to catholic - a true awakening and gift of the spirit I give thanks for every day. I have attended mass all over the US, but have never felt as peaceful and as close to God as I do in this vitally alive parish.

Attended the Greek food festival. The food is very good, well organized. Can be very crowded at times and parking can be challenging.

Orthodox church, in the center of Corpus Christy, not like the ones we have back in Europe, but at least remaining us on our religion and keep us close for days as Easter,Christmas etc.....recommending ☦️

I am new to town and attended Saint Anthony's Orthodox Church of Antioch in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The people of Saint Nicholas are very friendly and the elder members were very supportive as well as a few families I was able to meet. I am looking forward to making this my new spiritual home.

Dan was fantastic with the whole tour! The way he explained the history of the buildings was on point! He knew so much and it was the best part of the whole tour! Definitely would recommend to anyone who is second guessing the tour. My husband and I will definitely be doing more tours around the state !

Our adventure was absolutely fantastic! We had a blast listening to spine-chilling tales from Corpus, wandering around, and getting goosebumps watching the EMF lights go wild at multiple spots. Those last two stops? Super creepy! Don't forget to request Dan for the full spooky experience!

Me and my dad went on this tour and it really good and very intriguing! There were multiple moments where I got chills and would recommend to anyone who loves history with a side of thrill! I will say it was a good amount of walking, but totally manageable! Also I would recommend wearing bug spray or some sort of bug repellent. There are some sights where the misquotes are killer. Overall a very nice tour!

I attended the church service after the DR Martin Luther King March. The Pastor & members were courteous & loving to all of us!!! It was heartfelt. The visiting congregation was predominantly Black. I was truly blessed by this church's welcome to all of us!!! It goes to show this city is not all MAGA country!!!

I've attended off and on for the past two years, but I've started to attend regularly with the change of Pastor. There was nothing wrong with the previous Pastor who was trying to retire. The new Pastor brings more energy and boldness to preaching. The attendance has dramatically increased, which is fantastic. The summer early service on the beach is unique and peaceful.

The woman who runs the event planning here is extremely unprofessional and rude. Dont bother doing business with this place and book your event elsewhere!
