A great place for breakfast. We come here every time we visit from San Antonio. The eggs and bacon are delicious. The 3 dollars pancakes are cute and very tasty. And I have to mention their biscuits and gravy, very good. Also, the staff is very friendly and prompt. The overall atmosphere here is amazing. We even loved how so many regulars were eating here and the employees were on first name basis with them. They already knew their orders too! That’s just great customer service. We will keep coming back and definitely recommend this place!

We rolled in around noon, expecting a wait, but were whisked right to a table. Score one for immediate gratification! Stepping inside, you immediately realize this isn't your average chain restaurant. The decor is a delightful mix of aged wood, an abundance of greenery, and – wait for it – a model train that chugs along above your head! It's not fancy or trendy, but it's got a unique, quirky charm that just feels fun. Yes, it's a bit cozy (some might say "snug," especially when it's bustling), but they're clearly maximizing space to get all that deliciousness out to the hungry masses. Our server was efficient and friendly, guiding us through a menu loaded with comforting foods, including breakfast. And comforting it was! This is good, hearty, honest-to-goodness downhome cooking. The portions are generous and the food arrived surprisingly quickly. The prices? Very fair for the quality and quantity – a rare and beautiful thing these days. What truly sealed the deal for me was the distinct lack of obvious tourists. This felt like a genuine local hangout, which, as a discerning traveler, I wholeheartedly appreciate. If I lived in Corpus Christi, I'd be a regular fixture at Andy's. It's the kind of place where you leave feeling full, and happy. Mimosas are over priced for quality. Food is over priced for quality.. The omelette was cooked perfect and the potatoes were delicious. The toppings for the omelette weren’t to my expectations especially for the price. Atmosphere is good, Super, super clean (absolutely love that) the organization around the restaurant is great, The decor is nice and neat. Staff is friendly. 7.5/10 over all experience. Good for a one time experience!

The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. My issue was specifically with the food: I ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict and a waffle, and while the Benedict was cooked well, it really didn't have any seasoning to add to the flavor. In addition, the syrup served with the waffle was coagulated, so the syrup behaved more like an egg white (slimy and chunky) so I didn't eat much of the waffle.

The staff was friendly. The environment was fine and clean. The food though… what the hell. My protein pancake was literally green. They add green food coloring to their protein pancakes so they know it’s a protein pancake. It’s 2025 I think you can come up with a better system. Avocado was hard. Omelet was decent. The syrup that came out of my cup for the pancake (which I didn’t eat) looked like a jellyfish when I poured it out. Definitely some extremely fake artificial syrup. Literally is like a jellyfish it’s disgusting. Like what is this loogie cup.

Food, service and atmosphere was great! My wife and I took our daughter on a vacation to visit the beach and this ended up being our breakfast spot as well as any future visits. It's a order at the counter self seating service, the wait was expected to be 30 minutes for food but we got it within a 10 minute threshold after ordering both times we went. The cooks know how to keep things flowing and everyone was pleasant to be around. 😁 10/10 will go again.

Husband and I went there this morning. We ordered two Morning Glories and the biscuits and gravy. Absolutely delicious!!! The hash browns were heavenly. The eggs cooked perfectly over medium as requested. It was REAL bacon. So yummy! The biscuits tasted like they were made from scratch. The gravy was thick and flavorful and they sprinkled bacon over the top. It was a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend and cannot wait to go again.

The concept is awesome!! Once we sat down we were greeted by three different wait staff to fulfill our drink order so I appreciate the attentiveness. Food came out in a reasonable time; however, it was cold!! The wait staff took care of this so graciously and the tall black server was super accommodating in making sure it came out hot and fresh!! The potatoes need some seasoning/flavor. Food was pretty good but the service is what would bring me back if we visited the area again.

The food is definitely good whenever you drank the night before. Has the perfect balance of everything. Christina was our server and she was sweet and attentive! My friends kept saying that the coffee was really good and definitely recommend coming here for that!

I love this place. The service is number 1!! I can’t remember a place that had service as good as this. The food is traditional diner and amazing. I got a take on a Philly cheese steak. The difference was the toasted buttery house made bread. That with the house made fresh onion rings was just wonderful. They finish off every meal with some homemade cake. So go hungry! Everything was really wonderful but I could not finish it all. Oh! The diner looks exactly like a diner should. Bar, booths, and tables. But the tables have a plexiglass backer which muffles out the sound of the people in front and behind you so conversations are easy. The walls are decorated with photos of celebrities and customers. It’s really a great place and I highly recommend giving it a try.

This is the best hidden gem I’ve been to in Corpus! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the pricing is amazing! I felt like I was at home! This is officially my favorite breakfast place! Staff was absolutely amazing and super nice! Our server Cinthia was soo sweet and made sure our first time dining there went great!

10/10 experienced! Each staff member we interacted with was friendly, and felt like family. Honestly was like hanging at Aunties house with your cousins. The food was absolutely wonderful! If you're looking for a relaxed diner with great food, this is your place. It's like stepping back in time with good food, great service, and reasonable prices. Be sure to check out the lunch specials. My waitress, Beverly, was very attentive and did a great job. I got the meatloaf which was super tender and delicious. Their sides are just as delicious as is their desserts - today I enjoyed bread pudding. Mmmm

Amazing break fast . We ordered pancakes and migas plate, French toast . They were happy to customize the way we wanted and pancakes was filled with blueberries.

This place was absolutely amazing!!! We went 2 times back to back. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. The price as well was awesome. There was 4 of us and only spent about 40 bucks for everyone. We don’t live in corpus but if we ever do that will be our favorite breakfast spot. Highly recommend going plus the inside is old school. Has a lot of vintage stuff.

This is a “MUST VISIT” cafe in Corpus Christi TX. The food is EXCELLENT and the service and atmosphere match the food. My wife had a poached egg (looked like a rose) on top of a breakfast crab cake. She said it was to die for. I had eggs, bacon, potatoes, and the BEST Hester’s version of French Toast and they were INCREDIBLE! The Cafe leads into Bleu Frog, a General Store with something for everyone. We are going back later with the family (12 in all). We are going to check it out thoroughly. We will definitely come back every time we visit Corpus, highly recommend that you visit the cafe and general store as well. We love it when we find great cafes and stores like these. This is a very serene place to hangout and eat breakfast, brunch or lunch. They have a variety of coffees, desserts, and menu items. We were very impressed with the variety of items on the menu. The time between ordering and receiving our food was in a timely manner. The service was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The atmosphere was clean and inviting.

Great place for breakfast. We were first-time visitors, but as soon as we walked in, a staff member approached us to explain the ordering process. That was very helpful. We had the Cheesy BEAT and the My Fair Lady. They were both delicious. Great atmosphere as well. There were plenty of families with young children. The restrooms were clean. The only thing that I disliked is that we were given a Smuckers single serve packet as a jam. I would think that a place that prepares such delicious food would make their own jam. Or at the very least something better than Smucker's. It seems like a place that gets very full, but we were there around 8 am. Highly recommend this place.

Everything tasted super fresh and delicious – exactly what we were hoping for to start the day😍 Huge shoutout to the staff 👏5 stars for customer service! My husband felt the pancakes were a bit overcooked, and when we brought it up, the manager was so kind and polite. He explained the prep and immediately offered to replace them without hesitation. This is a classic mom & pop restaurant with that classic diner/Cafe design and food fair. You walk in and you step back in time. Check out the retro table top in the photos with the aluminum table edge. If that doesn't say classic or even vintage. I don't know what will. I ordered the pecan waffle with bacon and coffee. My wife had the her basic breakfast. Not shown in the photos, we had a cinnamon roll with pecans and raisins in it. Order it cold, heated or grilled and buttered.

What a lovely and bizarre place. It’s like you’re back in the 80s. Everything would be the same. Drip coffee, all dishes are fried, even the vegetables, everything is less than $12, Bush never happened. The towers are still standing. While contemplating over all that, the waitress comes by and refills the cup of coffee. It’s all good, you’re safe here.

Wife was in the mood for something different for breakfast, so a quick Google search led us to Town & Country Cafe. It’s a fully themed country-style restaurant—floor to ceiling, it’s giving full-on country vibes. We asked the staff for their bestsellers and ended up ordering the Chicken Fried Steak and the Town & Country Breakfast (plus a side of onion rings). The chicken fried steak was decent—not too oily, which was a plus. It came with eggs, hash, and slaw. Definitely the better of the two plates. The Town & Country Breakfast was a little underwhelming. Sausage, pancakes, and a biscuit—not bad, just pretty standard. One nice touch though: jams and butter are all-you-can, so if you’re into loading up your biscuits or pancakes, you’re covered. Also, just a heads up—drinks are non-refillable, so plan accordingly if you’re the bottomless coffee type. Not a dealbreaker, but good to know. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re craving that classic diner-country breakfast experience, but don’t go in expecting fireworks.

Amazing atmosphere, the staff is so friendly. But best of all the food is DELICIOUS 🤤 and so reasonably priced with massive portions. The broccoli 🥦 cheese 🧀 soup was amazing 🥲. We also had a the chicken fried chicken but I ate it before the picture….. anyways great place to eat at.

I have visited a few times and was waiting to give an honest review, not just based on one or two visits. To begin with, the restaurant is really nice and modern, but sadly, the flies that hang around your food are not cool. It seems like in each visit there has been at least one fly, sometimes more flying around our tables. The food itself is excellent, and we have not had any issues with the taste. I definitely recommend the Farmers Combo and Asada Sunrise. The pancakes topped with bananas and strawberries are amazing and definitely recommend them. Service has been hit or miss. Overall, even though service starts off rough, it does end up getting better by the end of our meal. Overall, if the fly issue was fixed and service improved a tad, I would definitely rate them a 5.

Becca was our server, and we had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was at half capacity, and she checked on us frequently. We never had to ask for a drink refill; she was always on top of it. She was also very helpful with the menu, offering assistance and answering all our questions. Best server we have ever had!

We went with a family of 6 on Saturday morning during brunch so there was quite a wait to get in but that was expected. The manager came by and gave us some delicious scones for our wait which was appreciated. They were very busy and the service was just okay because of it. We waited about 30 minutes for our food after we ordered but everything was hot and delicious from the eggs and pancakes to the lamb chops and burgers. The quality of all the food is very good no matter what you get here!

Serving sizes are huge. Flavor is 10/10. Try their Dubai Chocolate pancakes. The pancakes also came with 3 cage free eggs, 3 meats of your choice, and potatoes. Only downside was the host could have been more friendly she wasn’t mean but her customer service was not up to par as the rest of the staff which everyone was so kind and welcoming. Bathrooms also need some serious deep cleaning. It is worth to invest in professional cleaning for a business so wonderful like this one. Overall super satisfied and we seriously wanted to come back again the next morning before our 6 hr trip back home.

10 out of 10!!!! Loved everything. First we were told the wait was going to be 35 minutes, it was only 10. Our waiter Jeremy was prompt, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My family collectively had the seafood omelette, the lamb bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, the honey grits, and the Dubai chocolate pancakes. Everything was amazing!

Chops & Eggs has quickly become our go to spot, we eat here weekly and every single meal is consistently perfect. Pictured are two of our dinner favorites: Tender lamb tips with mushrooms, rich brown gravy over creamy mashed potatoes and the 16oz prime New York strip, cooked to absolute perfection and served with mash and fresh asparagus. Both dishes are not only beautifully presented but bursting with flavor. As someone with a gluten allergy, I’m always impressed by how many safe and delicious options are available. The care they put into accommodating dietary needs is rare and so appreciated. Chef Jordan is truly exceptional his love and passion for food shines through in every bite. The prices are reasonable, the staff is always friendly, and the welcoming atmosphere makes us feel like family. We always leave full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

I got Thai salad with peanuts favorite thing to get from thai places. Friend got chimichurri looking steak. It was great just spicy. Indian food spicy. Lol

The most upscale yet unassuming Thai we’ve found in Corpus! Friendly staff with great service, exceptional cocktails, and the food is served hot with really fresh ingredients. We did multiple starters and a roll to get a wide flavor variety. The Golden Money Bags are stuffed full and fried to perfection, light and crispy. Firecracker shrimp also perfectly lightly fried. Sauces were complex and tasty. Loved the spider roll. Decor might appear industrial or sterile, but from the second you enter the door the staff adds the warmth and vibe you’d expect while Coasting 🤙 When it’s Thai time, it’s BKK!

Recently discovered this gem in Corpus. Have eaten here twice in the last month. Both times the food was fabulous and received outstanding service. Our server Emma was great and stayed on top of all our needs. She recommend both dishes I ordered on my last visit. The Pad Kar Pow and Roti Coconut Ice-cream. Can wait to eat here again!

Atmosphere. It’s so relaxing and calming. Lunch Special was great. The peanut dressing surprised me on a salad! The service was top tier. Frankie was an excellent server. He matched the ambience, calming and consistent. Impressive watching him run the floor by himself and still maintain attention. I’ve managed concepts for years and was impressed.

I love this place so I want to be honest. Something has changed. The food has cheaper ingredients. The drinks are not made properly. The bartender was only there 2 weeks and wanted to argue with me a guest of 7 years on how their dinks taste. The manager was kind and polite but I can tell she is not getting the help she needs to maintain the high standards they used to have. You can tell the staff is spread too thin and the kitchen is understaffed. Let me reiterate I LOVE THIS PLACE. So for me we as consumers need to give them more business to allow them to get back to the amazing place they were. Dump our disposal income into then as the economy catches up and support this great local restaurant. And the server trainee ANNA was an absolute peach. She is gonna help them move forward and get back to the level they were 3 years ago

Nice little restaurant. They have the best horchata to-date that I've had outside of Mexico. It was creamy and delicious. I had the grilled shrimp plate. Very good, but you'd better bring your appetite. My husband had the carne guisada and cheese enchilada plate and said it was good.

I recently visited El Porto Mexican Restaurant while in town for work and stopped in after a long day. I decided to try the quesabirria tacos, and they did not disappoint – the food was delicious. However, what truly stood out to me was the exceptional service. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced such attentive yet unobtrusive service. The balance was perfect: the staff checked in just enough to ensure everything was going well without interrupting the meal, and if I needed anything, they were always easy to flag down. The restaurant was clean, fast, and the staff was incredibly friendly. It felt like they truly cared about providing a great experience, and I was treated like I was part of the family. I truly believe that if more restaurants could master this level of service combined with friendly staff, they would have booming businesses. I didn’t catch the name of the lady who served me, but I paid out at 6:33 PM, so hopefully, you can track her down and thank her on my behalf. Overall, the experience was exceptional, and the food was a steal at only $20. I ended up tipping $30, which is the highest tip I’ve ever given (150%) at any restaurant. I’m grateful for the great service and will definitely be returning! Thank you again!

This is a place that you might overlook. But I tell you what, this is a place that you are needing to try. The FOOD and SERVICE is AMAZING... Truly MEXICAN FOOD at its FINEST...!

I was really excited to try this place based on the positive reviews, but I left feeling disappointed and confused. The food was mediocre, and some of the dishes didn’t match traditional expectations. For instance, the gorditas looked very different from the authentic ones you’d find if you searched online. The gordita was very dry. The cheese on the enchiladas was thick, cold and chewy, which made it difficult to enjoy. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the food just didn’t live up to the hype of the reviews.

My breakfast was what I was hoping for!! The barbacoa was moist, fresh tasting , but not greasy at all. My eggs were cooked perfectly, and their homemade corn tortillas were very flavorful. Service was fast, and the waitress was attentive and friendly. The place is spacious and clean looking. Prices are great and plate was well served.

First time coming here with family, and had a wonderful time! The food was amazing and the staff were so sweet and informative. The vibes are very retro including the music, and it’s very spacious. We got lucky that day and saw a flyer on the table stating that during this same day there will be a muscle car show and they’ll be serving the full menu with a discount off the smoothies! We decided to come back again at 5pm when the show started and had a blast. So many cars came into the parking lot, lots of people checking out the cars and eating the food. Highly recommend for a great brunch spot to try!

Everything about this place is just AMAZING! I happened to just stumble on it because my 8 yr old needed to use the restroom and I found a hidden gem! It reminds me of a diner from the movie Grease. All their food is fresh and cooked to perfection. The employees are the sweetest and the decor is like a travel back in time. I have yet to find a dish that I haven't liked.

What a fun place! This 50s themed diner is like a step back in time, complete with the waitstaff in poodle skirts! Sandi took care of us and was very personable. You can tell she loves what she does. It was my birthday and we were there specifically for their highly recommended giant cinnamon roll. They were still rising when we got there and she thought it might not be ready, but after checking on it, she said it was perfectly ready to bake! The fresh baked, hot from the oven cinnamon roll was a perfect birthday treat! We got to celebrate in 50s style for my 50th!

First time here my husband is from Corpus he used to come here as a teenager when it was a Pharmacy. We are visiting from SATX this restaurant is very nice and great prices too.

Best pancakes I’ve had in a while. The theme was absolutely amazing and with all the items in the display was really a jump back to the 50’s. Breakfast was a good amount of food but what I mostly loved were the pancakes! They were fresh, warm, and fluffy. Can’t wait to go back for more!

Decided to stop here after our beach trip and MAN it was the best food we had all trip! So glad we stopped. The servers and staff were super friendly and there were so many cute vintage items to look at.

I had been apprehensive because of an incident a co-worker told me about. I tried it anyway, and here is my review. The atmosphere was fun and reminded me of the dinner in the movie, "Grease." It was like a step back in time. The music was 50's and upbeat. Very cute, it made me want to put my poodle skirt on - I loved it!! The hostess was nice, but not too friendly or welcoming. She seemed timid and not knowledgeable of the restaurant or menu items. Maybe, she was new? The service was great. Our server was friendly, outgoing, smiling, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She was what gave this establishment four stars instead of three. The food was hot and fresh. I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was not a frozen patty, so that was a nice surprise. The burger seasoning was different, and the patty was small. The bun was too big for the burger - too much bread (for my liking). The fries were crisp and seasoned well. One thing that made this experience negative for me was a tall blond woman working there who was waking around with a scowl on her face. It was definitely off-putting. Maybe she was having a bad day? I'm not sure. I will give the establishment another chance. I will update if my opinion changes.

Wow! Authentic mexican food no doubt about it! Food is phenomenal, homemade, the tortillas are also homemade and so dang good!! If you are looking for legit authentic mexican food, look no further, their prices can't be beat! We had the cheese enchilada plate and the chicharron plate, both were legit!

We were told this was one of Selena’s favorite restaurants. The food was great. But tortillas aren’t homemade. The flour ones did taste homemade but they aren’t. But I mean overall the food was great & super packed! That’s a given how good it is.

Hi-Ho is by far one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had. I discovered this gem while visiting the Selena Museum, and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing as was the service and atmosphere as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Ben who’s an amazing guy. He took the time to share the rich history behind the restaurant, which made the experience even more meaningful. I was recommended by my waitress the carne guisada which was absolutely delicious. (Ps they have the best tortillas somebody could ever taste) Thanks again and I can’t wait to visit Hi-Ho again!

The food here is excellent. Just like home made Mexican food. Our waitress Carmen always provides outstanding service, but all the waitresses there are very good. There Mole, chicken chalupas, chicken enchiladas, barbacoa, menudo always on point. Everything is always yummy.

Awful. This run-down, less-than-clean dive is a chaotic mix between Dine-In and Drive-Thru and offers zero reassurance on up-to-code cleanliness. The staff, a motley crew of college-aged young adults, are friendly, but are not professional, or attentive, and are less-than-presentable in terms of uniform/food safety clothing. Though it should be noted, I did see one hair net in use amongst the 5 teammates who should have been using them. Let's talk about the food. Using "food" loosely here... My order was supposed to be - 2 chicken tacos with cilantro and onion and 2 al pastor tacos with cilantro only. I received - 4 egg tacos, 2 chicken tacos all the way, 2 al pastor tacos all the way. None of which were made with Taco tortillas. Apparently, here they use some kind of pita-like bread as taco tortillas. The "salsa" is something akin to sink water and tomato juice. Skip it and just drink bath water instead. It's important to note that though we did not order the egg tacos, they were dangerously undercooked. The chicken tasted like cat food. The pastor was good, but not great, and was swimming in oil and grease. TL;DR, don't eat here. This place is dying and we need to let it before someone gets sick or dies. Or the owners need to mount a strong executive presence immediately and effect positive change.

Ordered a carne asada taco but got ground beef. Even tho he read it back to me twice. The guy at the window had no personality or hospitality. the salsa is very watery and the cheese they use is horrible. . The only thing good about this place is their watermelon frescas and the serving sizes of bacon.

Those in the area will know what gem this place is: this review is for the others. . We visited after a brief visit to a local, who recommended their tacos. There was quite a line for the drive through, but luckily we planned to dine-"in". . Parking out front, we entered via the chain link gate. This place clearly gets busy, as there was seating for multitudes and standing for even more. We walked up to the unprepossessing order window and studied what to have. . I decided on the Brisket taco ("Do you want BBQ sauce" , huh? On a taco?) and a Picaddillo taco, plus unsweet tea. We sat at a picnic table, and the cashier brought us our drinks. A very few minutes later, she brought us tacos. . Yeah, they are superb. The tortillas are awesome, and stuffed with almost too much fillings. We also had a few of they salsas in the bag. . The brisket was truly top-notch, not too lean and tossed in BBQ sauce. I was surprised to see pickles too. This was like a brisket sandwich, but using a tortilla. The picaddillo taco was equally perfect, filled plentifully with delicious meat and [potatoes] (maybe? It was fantastic) . There was nothing about the experience that was at all bad. Really excellent meal. . They do have a drive through. When busy, the locals came in to the window and left a few minutes later. . If I lived anywhere close, I'd definitely be a regular.

The food in this establishment is delicious, from taquitos, to caldos , gorditas to aguas frescas. My favorite are the brisket and steak tacos , they are the bomb. Watermelon drinks so good and refreshing. Plenty of benches to sit down and eat. The personnel is so nice and attentive great customer service. Restroom is available as well. I love this place and highly recommend it. Thumbs up👍

Been ordering at the drive thru and the sauce they give is really good but I wish they could give more than one if we order two . . The lady that always gets our order is very rude always giving an attitude always has an ear piece in her ear . Overall the only thing that is good is the sauce . Needs better customer service

Nano's Taco Run on Holly is a go-to spot for hearty, flavorful tacos and classic Tex-Mex comfort food. The breakfast tacos are always fresh and filling, and the tortillas taste homemade. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. However, one thing that knocked it down a star for me: the online menu doesn't match what they actually serve. I showed up expecting to order a couple of items listed on their website, only to find they weren't available-or priced differently. It can be frustrating if you're trying to plan ahead or order something specific. That said, the food still hits the spot and the overall experience is worth it. Just be aware that the best way to order is to show up in person and check the menu boards. Great local spot with room for a little improvement on the digital side. Will definitely be back

I recently bought a couple of tacos and It was a bit off the mark One taco was greasy and the other really dry It was not the norm because it is one of my favorite places to eat. The picadillo meat was not strained it is normally really meaty and the carne guisada meat was dry . Tasty but not there best this day .

This was my first time at Nano’s. I ordered the chorizo and egg taco. I can taste the cheap chorizo that was used or should I say I could NOT taste the chorizo. It was flavorless! The tortilla was hand made and delicious. The sauce was incredible. I am going to give this place another try. The two stars is a reflect of the chorizo and egg breakfast taco. Not necessarily of the service or restaurant itself.

I ate inside and I had the agua de pina while I waited for my food. The agua Fresca was so good and refreshing. The enchiladas were great, however the beans were lacking flavor. I would come again.

Prices are not updated on the menu. They won’t mention it until you say something. I ordered potato and egg, potatoes tasted similar to frozen ones from bag.

Quick and cheap breakfast tacos. They were so good and definitely home-made ingredients! They even use the good shredded cheddar cheese. We got there around 11:30a on a Saturday and it was packed with people inside and drive thru. We left and went back around noon the same day and the restaurant was almost completely empty. Inside is very cold and not many seating areas. The staff was so nice and quick. We got three HUGE tacos total and 2 large sweet teas for $18

A take out donut joint where the price is right and you get fluffy yummy donuts. What more can you want?

I was amazed by the quality of each donuts. Far superior to any chain donut shop. I loved the maple bacon 🥓 donut. The kolaches were also very delicious. I highly recommend!

I dream about their donuts. The best I have ever had anywhere. If you get them early enough and still warm they just melt in your mouth. I remember the birthday cakes my mom use to get when they had a place on Staples in Six Points area back in the 60's. I always get an eclair for myself for the drive back home with a dozen for family.

The blueberry cake donut was delicious, but the kolaches weren't great. They have a drive through window as well as a walk up window; no seating at this place so it's grab and go ordering. The staff member who served us was helpful and efficient.

Very friendly staff, I constantly have favor orders here & absolutely enjoy how accommodating and nice the employees are here. They have a huge taco challenge, & chicken fried steak challenge, that I have been wanting to try, but haven't practiced for. My bf had the picadillo plate & I had Mary's plate which consists of 2 enchiladas, 1 crispy taco, 1 chalupa, beans & rice. I wasn't a fan of the rice but everything else was muy bien. I reccomend, pretty quick service too.

The breakfast was soo GOOD! The beans tasted just like my grandma's, and the barbacua was soo good too. If you're looking for something that is not fast food, this is the place for you. All homemade food, and it is always packed here, but trust me, it's worth the wait for a table.

Amazing meal today and the friendliest service I’ve had in a while. Chicken Friday steak was the lunch special so I tried it out. The CFS was really good and the batter stuck to every bite. Mashed potatoes were great and the corn had a nice buttery flavor. I don’t get to Corpus as much as I would like, but next time I’m definitely coming here for some tacos and a torta.

I had the Café Chocolat Allemand, Pâtes au Pesto Crémeux, and a Tarte aux Fruits at Bien Mérité Bakery and Restaurant, and every bite was magnifique! The presentation was stunning and the flavors were perfectly balanced rich, smooth, and unforgettable. The rose-pink aesthetic with all the flowers gave the café so much charm and character it felt like stepping into a little dream of France. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and full of personality. My waiter was wonderful attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations. He even drew a little cat on my receipt, which completely made my day! Truly a five-star experience from start to finish. Merci, Bien Mérité!

Could be considered on the pricier side, but everything was really good. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was delicious! Everything we had was good. Our server was very nice and sweet, but being sat in the back there were points where we felt we were waiting quite a bit for certain things. Overall I'd definitely go back. Excited for the new building as this one has a weird smell upon first entering.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had such a great brunch at Bien Mérité! It was busy but the wait wasn’t long at all. The decor is Instagram worthy with a floral wall and string lights, giving bloomcore/gardencore. I got the breakfast burrito (crunchy bacon, flavorful salsa, and perfect potatoes on the side) and an iced horchata white mocha that I’d definitely reorder. You can grab coffee and baked goods up front, and even the water cups are cute! Parking’s a little tight, but totally worth it for the experience.

I absolutely adore this little restaurantm this was first time going. The food is incredible! We had the breakfast burrito. I had the French 💋 coffee 😍 the chai latte was also incredible. You need to save room for dessert or take it to go. Mirror raspberry pistachio tart was incredible. They also make macarons and eclairs. Definitely a brunch destination. The staff was also incredibly nice. If you're and Instagram influencer or live picture ops this is a great place to go.

Came here for ky birthday and it was a great choice. The staff was super friendly and the food and coffee was great. Only took a picture of my croissant (pistachio topping with raspberry filling 😋) but the breakfast burrito and sandwich were also great. I love that they do all their breads made in house. Would definitely be going here again. If your coming off the interstate there is a fairly large parking lot if your drive past the front of restaurant. Not that the front parking is bad, just a little harder to see the traffic when your trying to leave.

Ben and Destiny were amazing servers! I am so satisfied with the way my food came out. I got the grilled cheese with tomato soup and ate it all up! Destiny was attentive and interacted so kindly with our table. Ben, even though he was not our server, also checked in on us and made sure we were doing okay. I felt so welcomed and valued. For sure will be back!

Took awhile for us to be sat. No one was up front when we walked in. Once sat, our waitress was very friendly and informative. She brought 2 delicious cookies for us to sample while deciding on what to order. I ordered the farmer's breakfast - very good. My husband ordered the lunch sampler and said it was good. We walked by the pastries and bread when leaving. It looks delicious, and we'll have to try some soon.

We had breakfast and it was delicious! The pastries were unique and delicious! They caught your eye as soon as you enter the restaurant. They also have fresh bread and half priced good from previous batches. Place its simple but genuine. Family owned with a lot of good flavors that give you a great taste of German/European food.

Let me tell you. This is … wait… just look at the photos. This place is amazing. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is fun and exciting. The staff is friendly. Let’s go back to the food though! The FOOD IS AMAZING. Whether you want great breakfast or wonderful cinnamon rolls, this is a must stop place in corpus to visit.

Very good food and nice atmosphere. I loved the German breakfast tacos. They were more like crepes but better. Wife loved the French toast breakfast sandwich. Was not sweet as expected, but still very delicious and I believe you can ask for it sweeter and cinnamon and for syrup. Did provide side of powdered sugar ,but wife preferred without. Also loved the blueberry strudel. Tables for pets outside. Super friendly and fast and not busy for Saturday lunch. Next time I might try German meatloaf.

Came in Sunday morning around 10:45 and was seated immediately. Wife got the Ruben on pretzel bread and German potato salad. I ordered the jagerschnitzel with sauerkraut. Wife’s food was good but the schnitzel and sauerkraut was amazing. Particularly the kraut. Waitress said some people had sent it back the previous day because they didn’t like it and ask me to Rey and would change it out if I didn’t like but there’s no way I was sending that back. It did have mashed potatoes in it which was different but made it very creamy. Tasted more like the real German potato salad that net ones the wife got as her side order. Health officials won’t allow the real, warm version, of the potato salad to be served for some reason. I’ve had German food in Germany and this was about as close as it gets. I will be coming back every time we visit Corpus. Highly recommended.

JB’s was a decent experience overall. I’m used to bolder flavors, so the food didn’t completely meet my expectations. The real highlight? The pastries! They absolutely nailed those. I’d definitely swing by again just for the baked goods. The environment was also really enjoyable, which added to the experience.

This was one of our first experiences trying German food and it was really good! We got to try several traditional German dishes and they had a lot of flavor.

This is the second time I order from this location for my bf. With all do respect when I simply asked sour cream, butter on the side they put everything on the side and he end up with this mess. The only reason I order the second time because the first order was really good. So I am simply asking what happened? This is not acceptable. If I was not living 150 miles away I would have bring this order back to your restaurant. My bf is sick so he can't do it him self. Thank you for the disappointment.

I had an amazing experience at this BBQ restaurant, and I have to give a special shoutout to Gilbert for his exceptional and phenomenal service. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcomed and taken care of. He was extremely nice, incredibly helpful, and genuinely went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. His warm attitude and attention to detail made our visit so much more enjoyable. It's rare to find service this good, and Gilbert truly elevated our experience. Everyone else on the team was also really friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere feel even better. And of course, the food was absolutely amazing - flavorful, perfectly cooked, and worth every bite. Thank you so much!

One of my favorite restaurants in Corpus Christi, I’m from Houston and we have a couple different roadies, but this one definitely takes the plate!!! The atmosphere is great the camaraderie between the team members working there is great and the food is tasty and amazing !! And the scope of things it’s really not that expensive!!! When you’re fasting and only eat once or twice a day… I would recommend their sausage, and their turkey with some sissy sauce, which is actually spicy sauce

Rudy's country store was the highlight of my trip to Corpus Christi. It was the first time I would visit such a restaurant. All their choices were great. The moist brisket is one of my favorites. The jalapeno stuffed sausage also was great. I would definitely recommend it.

My pulled pork sandwich was amazing. I added bbq, coleslaw and pickles to it and it was perfect. The new potatoes were tasty. I also tried the turkey and brisket, both were delicious. There is no cornbread here, which I thought strange for a BBQ place. Lots of parking and seating inside. Cafeteria style ordering. Our cashier was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. I'd eat that pulled pork sandwich every day if I could.

I got a order of Fish and Shrimp Tacos to go, service was quick as could be, food was ready in no time and the food taste great. My only complaint was for the price of food and drink there should have been a side, even if it was just rice and beans because I did not get full on tacos alone.

Omg the food was absolutely perfect. The tripas were 🔥🔥🔥 The salsa was perfect. Flavor and heat. The salsa Verde was delicious too. My girlfriend had the tacos and she loved them so much it reminded her of her dad that passed away. She even cried. The waitress was so sweet. Limited parking. The wonderful aroma of the place hits you as you walk up to it. You're given homemade chips and salsa when you sit down. Their horchata is creamy and delicious - best I've had in awhile. I has their taco plate with 2 shrimp and 2 fish - delicious. My husband had their chicken fajita and said it was delicious.

After being turned away from another restaurant because they were an hour away from closing, this place welcomed us with open arms and an hour before closing. The service was prompted, correct, and the food was good. They even told us to relax and take all the time we needed. We still got out by their closing time and didn't hold them up. I highly recommend this place.

Upon entry, you can smell the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. A peaceful coffee shop atmosphere with friendly staff. With peanut allergy, we were so happy to discover this place. My son safely enjoyed his blended Padre Paradise smoothie. I also loved the iced matcha. Thank you Island Joe's!

Island Joe's was awesome! It's obviously a hot spot because of how busy it was when we were here. Unfortunately, the espresso machine was broken when we swung by, but the cold brew and brewed coffee was pretty solid. It's such a cool idea to have a bunch of shipping containers make the outside of the building. High recommend!

It was a nice place to chill and relax. they have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a second floor. i tried the ice island girl latte, strawberry banana smoothie, bacon cheese kolache, and the biscuit and all of it was great. cool vibes.. will be coming back again!

This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots! The staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food and drinks never disappoint. I love that there’s both indoor and outdoor seating — and there’s so much space, it never feels crowded. The drive-thru is super convenient too, especially when I’m on my way to work. Highly recommend checking it out!

Idk why this is rated 4.6. My daughter's cold brew tasted like there was no coffee in it, and she had to add coffee when we got home. That still didn't fix it, so she threw it away. The biscuits were just frozen processed biscuits, and the bacon was basically nonexistent. How do you not have butter when all you serve is biscuits and bagels? Finally, $28 for 2 bacon and egg biscuits, 1 plain biscuit, a small smoothie and large cold brew that wasn't even coffee. No bag, all handed out the window individually. Our first and last time here. They've got nothing on 7Brew as far as the drinks.

This place was amazing! I loved the vibe, the food was so delicious, I got the donut breakfast sandwich from the Saturday Brunch Menu and it was so yummy!! The Colosal cheesecake is amazing, so creamy and delicious! So was the Tiramisu. The staff was super friendly. I will be back and tell friends about it 🧡

This place is great! Good food for a great price! Friendly service, and the bakery items look amazing too. They were even able to make adjustments to my partners meal, who is allergic to dairy. Breakfast and brunch places are usually very hard for him to find something to eat at, but they were able to accommodate his allergy no problem.

Food was a solid 7/10 and service was kind but hard to get a hold of. Honestly brunch is super busy in general so understandable. Mocha latte was good but not stellar. Biscuit was dry but gravy tasted good. Waffles are fantastic and house potatoes. My group liked their savory dishes (pancakes, eggs, bacon) so maybe stick with ordering those when you come here. Overall, nice people and decent food options but maybe try to beat the brunch rush if you can!

I am impressed! First of all my sandwich was cooked perfectly with the right amount of everything. The bread was toasted lightly but still soft and the cheese was melted…exactly how it should be! For dessert I got the key lime bar and oh my goodness…It was perfection ❤️ seriously one of the best desserts I’ve had in Corpus Christi, so simple and so good. For sure in my top five treats!

My wife and I enjoyed a weekday breakfast together at S & J. The line looked long but definitely moves quick. The workers moved quick and had great attitudes towards all customers. You definitely get your money's worth with every item. We will be visiting again when we get the chance.

Excellent cookies, best snicker doodle I have had in years. Unfortunately they were sold out of kolaches, but that’s what happens when you’re the best. My son got chicken tenders and they were like big nuggets but he still seemed happy with them. Will stop in again if I am ever back this way.

This is my favorite place for kolaches. It's always fresh, hot and delicious!! The sausage and cheese are even good warmed up days after. The employees are friendly and always in a good mood!

Have driven by many times and could not figure out why a bakery had such a big parking lot .. well, now I know they also serve food. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on house bread with chips. I got the meal, which included a drink and a sweet ( not just a cookie , anything they had). The prices were great. I loved the chicken salad , the bread was very good. My husband got the lunch special , chicken strips with mashed potatoes, gravy , salad , drink, and a dessert. The place is huge.

Simple review. Great food, staff is on point, and the place is quiet and comfortable. Parking is available along with handicap parking. 10/10.

I seen her with other white ppl be all smiles and joy but when I showed up at the window, I got hostility, the way she handed and grabbed the money with me was racial. She was with another young white woman. (She's not the problem). It was the elder lady She was with at the window. The people were so friendly and helpful I only wish I had a better review of the food. The menudo (although extremely tender) it was flavorless. The broth wasn’t the dark rich red orange it was almost light brown (salt and lime couldn’t save it). The eggs, beans and potatoes were pretty standard. We had ordered bacon and egg tacos and it was the kind where they cook the eggs and throw a strip of bacon in there (sad face) those never taste good. The Mexican sodas were $4!! Geez! On a bright note the service was nice and the food came out quickly but unfortunately I won’t be returning. Also here is the menu. Not only could I not find it online but it took us a while to find us one at the restaurant as well.

The food was enjoyable. It is a small hole in the wall, but I feel they really need to add a coat of paint to it to not make it feel so old. Our waitress was not friendly, almost as if she was very busy and frustrated. She did provide us with decent service, but I never saw her smile. I modified my lunch order and they fixed it right up. Kudos on that! My girls complained about the smell of tripas in the air and were bothered by it. I would go back but maybe order tacos Togo. The carne guisada was pretty good.

Don’t judge this book by it’s cover. The building needs some work, but the food here is absolutely delicious. This is undoubtedly my number one choice for breakfast tacos in the area.

Yoli's hands down is my favorite Corpus Christi restaurant. The food is delicious. Don't let the interior fool you, it looks a little down, but you can't argue with their cheese enchiladas, refined beans and their Carne Guisada. I do wish they had better bacon, their bacon is hard and tasteless. The staff is always friendly.

Let me start off by saying I never write reviews, but feel like others might appreciate my honest opinion. We stayed in a room with a king size bed and we were pleasantly impressed with the size of the room. Other than that the rest was downhill from there. The pillows provided were flat and were sized more for a full size mattress. The pool was overly treated by so many chemicals we had to get out because it was burning our skin terribly. The pool towels provided were a laughing joke because they only fit our four year old daughter. We booked our meal ticket ahead of time for $6 and let’s say that’s all it was worth. I don’t know how they’re charging $15 for the food buffet.The coffee machine was out off and on, we were told the juice machine was broken so they served it to us in a glass that was chipped, and it cost extra for a side of bacon. Was it edible, yes? Would I have paid $15 for it? Absolutely not. The staff was friendly and the room was big, those were our only positives. Other than that, we will not be returning and we will stick to our normal yearly stay at the La Quinta down the road.

I reserved 4 rooms. Two of our rooms smelled of mildew and had water leaks on the ceiling. The other two rooms had disgusting bathtub rings on them and sand in the tubs, as well as one of the air conditioners not working properly. I had arranged for a late checkout at 12:30 with a normal check out time of 12. I got back to the hotel and went up to the rooms at 11:53 to collect my stuff and they had thrown away our food and beverages from three of the rooms as well as my perfume and sandals. They also charged me $15 per person for breakfast and included a $5 tip. My reservation included breakfast but there was obviously miscommunication between the gentleman who helped me over the phone when I called the day before arriving to request that 3 people /breakfasts be removed as there would only be 11 people instead of the 14 that I made the reservation for. He told me that it would be $5 less per person for one at the rooms but he did not know how to do that and would leave a message with management. I did wait in line to speak with management when leaving but Janie was on the phone with a customer quite some time and there was a gentleman in front of me still waiting and I could not wait any longer. When my fourth room was finally ready a gentleman offered us a bag of water. I asked as to why I wasn't offered this with the other three rooms and he apologized and said we should have been. Employees were nice but only having one person at check in and check out while answering phones shows a complete lack of customer service and I expect more from a Hilton!

I don't normally take the time to write a review, but when you see the name Hilton, you would think of a nice clean classy place. This was the nastiest place we have stayed in a long time. Carpet was filthy through the whole hotel. It had rained so the water was pouring down in the lobby. The rooms were nasty. The bathroom floor didn't look like it's been mopped. The sheets kept coming off the bed. Uncomfortable beds flat pillows very nasty. They put water in your room but get charged for it. Breakfast buffet Ridiculous price. The elevator out of order. Definitely would never recommend this place to stay.

It a nice budget friendly hotel. Beds are soft, pool is clean. Love the digital check in and out. Never had to talk with anyone. Just note they add a parking charge per day for parking in the lot. Not gated or anything so you have to park in the lot and get charged. Breakfast is 15 dollars and it is worse than what you get free at comfort inn.

Let me start off by saying I don’t leave bad reviews unless they are completely warranted. I want to mention that all of the front desk staff was very helpful and attentive during our stay. This hotel is in desperate need of good housekeeping. The room is not clean. Our shower curtain made the whole room reek like mildew and we had to request for them to replace it with a clean one. The amount of dust and leftover pet dander caused me to have an asthma attack which is few and far between for me because I know my triggers. I understand this is a pet friendly hotel but they can’t vacuum and dust the rooms!!? My sleep mask fell behind the bed and it is a layers and layers of dust underneath which is probably want caused my asthma to flare up. That being said at midnight I went downstairs to get fresh air and Adrian was very thoughtful and gave me piping hot water that I could use to inhale steam to stop my wheezing. So kudos to Adrian! I truly feel like this is a 3 star hotel at best and that’s being generous. If yall could hire some better housekeepers it could really get yall back up to being 4 or 5 stars. Location is 4. Very close to the beach of course. Service is a 4 everyone has been helpful with our complaints and like getting extra towels or whatever we need. Cleanliness is a zero guys. I rarely have asthma and I’m writing this review at 1:30 am because I cannot sleep because I am coughing and wheezing so badly from how dusty and dirty this room is. Just do better.

We recently stayed at this Hilton while traveling with our toddler, and the entire experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We left Dallas with plenty of time but ran into unexpected traffic and multiple stops, which meant we didn’t arrive until 3 a.m. As soon as I realized we’d be late, I called the hotel to let them know. I was told that arriving that late would be a problem, but to call Hilton Advance Pay since my reservation was prepaid. I was reassured by both the hotel and Advance Pay that my original reservation would be dropped, I’d be refunded for the full amount, and a new reservation would be created so I would only pay for the night I actually stayed. I would also not be charged a fee for a no show since i called in advance to explain the situation. They even gave me a case number (250200117) to confirm this resolution. When we finally arrived exhausted at 3 a.m., I was charged a deposit (which I understood as a refundable incidental fee), but then the system asked for another payment. I assumed this was tied to the new reservation, but when I asked the front desk clerk, he couldn’t explain what it was for. He said I couldn’t get my room key until it was paid, so at that point I paid it, simply because I needed to get my toddler to bed. The next day, I tried to resolve the mystery charge with the front desk and eventually a manager. No one not even the manager could clearly explain what the charge was for. I was bounced back and forth between the hotel and Hilton Advance Pay, had to repeat my story multiple times, and was finally told (with case number 250263609) that I would only receive a refund of the charge via paper check in FOUR weeks. This was after I had been promised a full refund originally. Because of the confusion, we even considered leaving and finding another hotel, but we were told things would be resolved and even offered a discount for an additional night, so we reluctantly stayed. Unfortunately, this wasted hours of my trip, created stress when I should have been relaxing with my family, and left me feeling overlooked and unvalued as a customer. The lack of communication between the hotel, the advance payment department, and management is unacceptable. Being promised one resolution and then forced into a completely different outcome with no clear explanation feels like a bait-and-switch. I wanted to start building loyalty with Hilton, but this experience was a major letdown to top it off our room had a lot of ants

The facility, staff and pool were great. My complaint is.. its advertised they have a grill and bar. We booked here with the intentions of making things easy and eating here. When we checked in we were informed the restaurant and bar are closed on the weekends. We easily could have booked a different hotel with a continental breakfast and had the plans to east out. Vacation isn't ruined just disappointing that its not stated when booking that restaurant and bar are not available.

Superb food but simple ambiance. Note this review is for the dining room, not the event center. They have a full bar and an event center that is often used on weekends. Great selection of seafood and some European dishes like the Schnitzel and Goulash. Crab cakes were delish with great temperature and taste. The clam chowder was a plus. Has happy hour from Wed-Sat. Kids menu had a lot of choices. Server was very attentive and top notch. The dining room has a lot of tables but it has a simple ambiance with tables and chairs. Would definitely come back!

My wife and I were really looking forward to having Sunday brunch here. But we're incredibly disappointed with the food and the service. I attempted to order a ham and cheese omelette and was told I could only order what was on the menu. They made an exception and made a ham and cheese omelette for me. But I was not allowed to have biscuits I had to have toast. This coming from a restaurant that their menu says they cater to the needs of their clients was very irritating. My wife ordered eggs benedict they came out with very little sauce. And the food was cold. Keep in mind that it was 11:00 on a Sunday and we were the only diners in the restaurant. Our server was very very busy and never managed to come back and ask us how our food was or refill my coffee cup. I did address my concerns with the hostess at the front counter who told me she'd let someone know. We will absolutely never go back to this establishment. And I guess I should have realized when the parking lot was empty it may have been a poor dining choice. I might add in addition to the food being cold the service being horrible. My toast was hard. And my omelette was $18 for a small omelette no potatoes no extras

I ordered a cup of clam chowder and it was so good that I got a second one 🤭 Excellent and friendly service. Delicious food, made from scratch. The Smoked Old Fashion was perfect. 10/10 recommend for a quality dining and drink experience! I’m looking forward to going back with family!

I attended a graduation party here. They had some interesting dishes. Because it was set up buffet style for the party, I did not know the names of the dishes, but I really enjoyed the roast chicken that was covered in a creamy sauce that had sauteed vegetables in it. The wait staff did a good job making sure there was always food in the serving trays, and they walked around picking up empty plates.

This place was okay. We visited around 6 pm. We were the only ones there during the whole time. The food was okay. The salmon, the special, was not worth the 29 dollars but oh well. The environment was great and our two servers were excellent. I loved their floors. Would I go there again, probably not.

All I can say is wow. Everything is made fresh and perfectly cooked. No extra seasons needed. Delicious. And the ambiance is exceptional. Thank you so glad we came out and tried a new place. Will come back

By far- one of my favorite sandwich places of all time. I love the VILLA ST JACQUES and the turtle cheesecake. SO GOOD. Views here are hard to beat! Check out the Lexington and the Harbor Bridge! Also- enjoy the art museum - so many beautiful paintings and art!

This cafe is in the museum, you have to stop and get some pin to enter the restaurant from a basket in the gift shop, but the view is very beautiful , of the bay. The food was really good but I like the vibe of the other Hester's location.

The all-glass walls at Hester's at the Art Museum provide spectacular views of CC Bay, the Harbor Bridge and the city's top two attractions on North Beach (Aquarium and Lexington). The food is healthy, fresh and one of the "sure bets" for having a really good lunch in Corpus Christi. It's inside the museum, but they allow you to enter for free if you are dining at Hester's. Service is fast and quality is dependable.

It was ok. Ambiance was great, people there very friendly. Sandwich I had only ok. Salad it came with only had greens, but had a nice balsamic vinaigrette. Lemonade was good, and the capachino nice, but would have been better with China. But the real issue I had is if your just going in for lunch the front desk stops you, you have to go through the museum. Been to all the hesters, probably wouldn't go back to this one.

We stopped in to this place on our way to the island for a late lunch. We were not expecting much but were pleasantly. Our part had the fajita plate, pastor tacos, add the bistec tacos. The fajita meat was cooked just right and the pastor was flavorful. The red salsa is mild in spice hotness level but is good tasting. Everyone enjoyed their dish and the rice/beans were good too. The tortillas were not drenched in oil and that was a plus for us. Service was prompt and courteous and prices was fair. We will return if we are in the area.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but, believe me, this place has an excellent kitchen! We ate our breakfast/lunch here three days out of the six we were in town and were very, very happy each time. You should eat here!

Absolutely delicious Mexican breakfast here! The ladies are so friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. Very clean as well. They even have spicy habanero salsa’s! I love spicy spicy Mexican food. Will definitely be returning here ❤️🌶️

We were in town on vacation, a group of 11, they rushed to accommodate us, the service was speedy and friendly, the food was excellent 👌. Most definitely recommend, we will be coming back for sure. We had the canelo waffles (my kid said they were the best), barbacoba plate (delicious) enchiladas 😋...absolutely nothing bad to say here!!!!

There are so many taco places in corpus.. this would not be a first pick for me.. wouldn’t even be in my top 5. The tacos were also small and not that great.. I asked for a picadillo and the lady kept saying okay a ground beef taco… and I was just like sure obviously they don’t have picadillo lol.. I gave them 2 stars because the hot sauce was pretty good better then the taco… GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I was so happy to discover Eleanor’s! I grew up in Corpus and moved away years ago. I was happy to come home and find new life in the city. This is a great little craft coffee shop, serving great espresso drinks from local Texas roasters. The latte was great. I would definitely recommend it!

Here on vacation and obviously eating out a lot. It was nice to find a unique spot that had healthy fresh food. Muffin was great! I got avocado toast with poached egg and my boyfriend got the smoothie bowl. Small menu but sounds like it rotates often. Might have to go back before we leave!

Stopping in from Houston for a business meeting and had 2-3 hours to do some work. The coffee here is top notch (and I don't say that lightly) and the atmosphere is relaxing. There are plenty of power if you need to sit and work and the WiFi is fast. This is the only coffee spot I've been to in Corpus but I would put money on it that it's one of the best.

A bit too hipster for my taste. The location is iffy and I wouldn't go after dark. We ordered the iced chai latte, iced latte, honey bun and cinnamon roll. We got the hot version of both drinks. Instead of reordering we went with it. The drinks were very good and both rolls were excellent. It is a very tiny cafe so don't go with a crowd. If you're in a wheel chair please take care as the parking lot is very bad. Pricing is a tad on the high end.

I travel a fair amount for work from the East coast to the west and I always love to find good local coffee shops. Eleanor's is one of the top. The staff was friendly, engaging, and happy to serve. I ordered an espresso for there, a cappuccino to go, and a cookie. Both were a wonderful example of well crafted coffee. With rich cherry and chocolate notes in the espresso and perfectly steamed and creamy milk. Not a noted of "burnt dirt" in site. The cookie was good too. P.S. shout out to Taylor

Amazing coffee, great market selection, and tasty snack bites. Highly recommend the pour over, cappuccino, and iced matcha with whole milk. For snacks my go-tos are the energy bites, avocado toast and yogurt bowls.

Cashier was not very friendly & my avocado toast was an oily mess. The "toast" was rock hard and inedible. The "poached egg" was microwaved & completely cooked. I was disappointed. Juice was good.

Donuts are in the top 2 in town that I've been to. They taste good, not oily like Shipley's, HEB, or Gate's. The only issue is that they're really expensive. Filled donuts are $1.70.

Best donuts I've ever had, I've never had any others like them. They're perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. I noticed they have awards for their donuts on the wall. And it's not just their donuts, their kolaches are incredible as well. Incredible, quality food for a reasonable price.

We always get their donuts and kolaches for Saturday mornings. Best way to end the week! They are always so nice, the shop is clean and nice, and everything is delicious. My favorite morning breakfast.

Today was the first time we tried a different donut shop other than Shipley's Donuts. I must say, we were amazed! We have a Shipley's Donuts next to us but now, we have found a place better. Thank you for the amazing flavors of kolaches and donuts. They melted in our mouth's rather than turning into a ball of dough. We will definitely be recommending Donut Palace and will definitely be returning. Truly Amazed~ The Snell Family

Came here by chance just looked up nearest donuts and they pulled up . Can I say I haven’t even tried the food yet I wanted to leave a review right away just based on customer service! So hard to find now days ! She was so happy to greet you with the a smile. A must place to visit !

UPDATE: After off and on communication, Manny did fully refund our money on 12/31/20. I appreciate that he was extremely apologetic and I wish him the best. Paid $183.00 in advance for our Thanksgiving package that was supposed to be delivered for lunch at 12:50pm. We ordered a fried turkey and I had asked if they ever made one and if they could, Manny said yes. Well, to begin they did not arrive with our food at 12:50pm, I had to be the one to contact them and they gave me a story about how their son got burned and they were taking them to the hospital. After waiting 1.5 hours and constant messaging, Manny (the owner) said he left the hospital and was on his way to PICK UP our food and drop it off. It took another 1.5 hours to have someone contact us and make excuses that they never had made a fried turkey before (hence the accident) and were barely making the food so we decided to cancel our order because by now our guests had left and we weren’t in the mood to eat anymore. If they were barely prepping our food it would take another 2 hours MINIMUM for it to be delivered and we had already been waiting for a total of 3 hours. I’m sorry an accident happened but as a “professional” catering business, they should have back up plans to get their food delivered OR have the customers pick up their orders if there was some unforeseen situations happening. Although, it seems as if they hadn’t started on our meal anyway. Manny is a nice guy and we were grateful for the package he offered us (the package we never got) but there needs to be more professionalism in this business. This was very unprofessional and very disappointing and I will be expecting a FULL refund of my money for a meal we never received.

I had never heard of much less saw this place until today. It's on the corner but you can't really tell it's a burger joint until you go in. Staff are very friendly and love to give advice on the food here plus they share a laugh with you. The food selection is high and very 😋 delicious. I went for the old regular cheese burger and was pleasantly surprised at how good they are. The place is clean and well taken care of but beware...it's small so if it gets full there'll be limited seating available. All in all my visit here was an awesome experience. Especially coming in from work. Great job, guys! Keep up the good work!!👍👍

Good food, but not fast and not organized. EVERY time I go there, they lose my order. I get the special and they forget to make it. Then I see people who ordered after me get their food. The turkey special is already made, so it should just be a matter of putting it together and get it out.

Haven't been in awhile due to bad Services, thought we would give them another shot. Did not order anything too specific, just no onion when our order arrives , I got onions on mine. My burger was completely soggy. My fries were cold and greasy, and on top of that was charged extra for ketchup. Not going back. Definitely the last time.

OMG AMAZING!!! I have never had anything less than perfect from this restaurant. Real home cooked food. From their meatloaf & mashed potatoes to their burgers you will definitely not be disappointed. Don’t even get me started on their breakfast sandwiches, that sweet jalapeño bun. Yum!! They have so many different varieties of gourmet burgers you would never get bored, I will eventually try them all 😉 Start with the fried avocado bacon burger... to die for!! If you try this place once, I guarantee you will be craving it daily! The staff is really awesome as well!!!

We ordered a Thanksgiving Dinner package for 40 people for a total cost of $600.00. Our dinner was scheduled to arrive at 1:30. After waiting 30 minutes pass the delivery time, I had to contact them. He said his delivery guy was in a car accident. Four hours later, they showed up ( after several of our guest had to leave) with cold turkey, one little pan of instant mashed potatoes and uncooked broccoli casserole. It was disgusting, we couldn’t eat it, we had to throw it all out. We agreed on a total refund and still have not received it and he will not return our phone calls. How unprofessional and lack of character! Oh and by the way, I had to spend another $250 at Whataburger (they did an excellent job) to feed my guests!

This place has great burgers! I love the mushroom swiss burger. The place is a bit small so you have to get there before the lunch rush to get your food quick.

Excellent staff; They are very nice and attentive to customers. They have such an excellent variety of great grocery items in stock always and there is a wonderful Hot Foods/Hot Dog areas (there are several), clean restrooms, gas pumps are all well maintained, great Beers/Wines selections at normal prices and many, many snacks available. Excellent for travelers on their foods, beverages and gasoline fill-ups at the very end of Interstate 37 at Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi, Texas. Enjoy!

I love Nancy, I’ve been going in every night before work for about a month now and she has always been so nice and welcoming to Stripes. I’ve even realized every-time I go in the ladies restrooms are so clean and smells good compared to the time she’s not scheduled. Overall love her

I think they got me for some gas last time I was here, the pump was faulty and I had to keep pressing the thing to get a minuscule amount in my tank, but the fact that I was able to leave with some ranch dressing tonight and the same guy on duty that was working when I had my gas problem happen, was much nicer and working tonight, is why I’m leaving 3 stars. I was really craving ranch on my turkey ciabatta club and was grateful he didn’t make me wait in what seemed like a line because the people in front of me were the Brady bunch. In a very cool car too. Thanxxxxxxxx

This place is very shady, try to avoid this location, there are several homeless people roaming around. I went there around 7 in night and had to encounter couple of guys trying to damage my vehicle. Simply avoid the gas station

630 on a friday night the food attendant says she is "done with dinner" but I can wait for chicken strips if I want to. Doesn't have ANY side items available. And what she does have looks like it has been sitting all day. No excuse for lazy employees!

I use to love this place for the tacos. I would even go out of my way just to get one from this location. However today, the woman who was working at the counter was one of the rudest person I have ever had to deal with. After trying to get her attention so I could give my order for at least 3-4 minutes while she played with her hair and talked and giggled with the other employees, she finally acknowledged me. When I started my order she told me I had to order- then pointed to her left, where no one was standing let alone working. She pointed to the wall, not even near where the counter was. I told her where is the sign to order? She said you’ll have to figure that out yourself. We left after I told her I didn’t have the stomach for what she was serving. As I was leaving I saw her wait on a man while she flipped her hair and giggled. I wish I could give this place negative stars.
