The room was a lovely big size, the kitchen facilities were useful and the shower was nice and hot. We were on the ground floor at the front of the property and the trains didn’t disturb us at all, however the room we were in was right next to the housekeeping staff who did make a fair bit of noise banging trolleys, playing music and using a loud walkie talkie, quite late in the evening and early in the morning (we did ask them to be quiet a couple of times). Patrick (or Cappy) at the valet was extremely helpful & friendly, as was Mitchell C, who was overseeing the operations at the front of the hotel/luxury property (valet, bell service, etc.). I had excellent conversations with both of these great team members, and very much appreciate their warm welcome & hospitality at the front of the property. Dan and Jacob at the boat house were delightful and very pleasant, and these are two of the best guys I’ve ever come across in all my travels! Karyna at the health club and pool was absolutely incredible, and she really does everything she can to ensure guest satisfaction! Additionally, Matthew Adams at the golf course was absolutely amazing & extremely friendly, alongside Reno, who helped check me in to my cart for probably the nicest last day on the course in 2025. Phenomenal service at the Spa for 3 days of treatments too, and I cannot thank Bailey, Meagan, and Morgan enough for such great hospitality, services, and treatments at the world-class JPL Spa! I had the best massage of my life from Morgan, and will guaranteed return for another. Orso servers, Tim and Christina, were very pleasant… I truly appreciate their menu and wine recommendations, and especially their prompt and always friendly service. The Chef here also deserves a very special mention, as the 3 meals, over 3 nights, that I had the privilege to enjoy (rib eye steak followed by lamb shank, and finally, turkey with a half chicken alfredo side), were all delectable & cooked to perfection. We chose the Marmot Lodge based on recent reviews and we're not disappointed. The check-in process was quick and efficient. The front desk staff member was very courteous and friendly. Our room was located on the backside of the property, so we weren't bothered by the trains that run through town across the road. The room was very clean, spacious and seemed to be recently renovated. There were two comfortable queen sized beds, along with a separate seating area with two chairs and a small table. There was also a desk adjacent to the TV area. Our children greatly enjoyed the nearby pool and indoor hot tub, although the button to start the jets for the indoor hot tub was temperamental. But we had a really lovely stay, for a small fee we upgraded to a junior suite and the room was lovely, we had great service and the walk to town is short and easy!! Wicked cup served an amazing breakfast and great coffee! On our second night, we went in the hot pub and briefly in the pool. That night we both experienced rashes and very itchy skin, which is only just subsiding, 3 days later! We don’t have sensitive skin and I’ve stayed in hot tubs and pools much longer than we did that night, and never had this issue! The itchiness was unbearable sometimes! Whatever was in the water was that strong it has also bleached our swimwear, which is very eye opening! The -3 stars are because they don't have reasonable ventilation or cooling in rooms and the rooms are incredibly compact. There was around 3x1 metres of space for the four of us to handle our bags and move about. The two queen sized beds were more of a double bed size, but the mattress was good to sleep on. Our room was falling apart. Yes it was really cold when the winds started but can’t argue with that as they recently had a wildfire. We had to move RV sites as we needed power but unfortunately then the toilets were really far away from us. Beautiful scenery, definitely wake up for sunrise if you can as the mountains glow during sunrise.

But the rooms are small & dated. Also housekeeping will do the bed and replace the towels(even if you hang your towels) but wont clean the bathroom or room.

We loved our stay at Patricia Lake - only 10 minutes into Jasper but felt worlds away from the busy town! We enjoyed canoeing - had the whole lake to ourselves at 9am - and paddle boarding as well as relaxing by the lakeside in the Adirondack chairs provided. It really is the perfect place to stay, wished we had a week there! Was my daughter’s favourite part of our whole trip! The grounds are beautifully kept with a lovely hot tub and fire pits. The linens were services regularly in my room and they were clean too but they were worn out from the daily washing and became rough. I’ve been to Jasper numerous times, but had no idea this cute little inn was right in the heart of town! The location cannot be best if you want to be in town, literally mere steps away from restaurants and shopping. There is also underground parking for guests. The shoulder season rates were incredible! Even the high season rates are really reasonable. I would love to stay here again and try out a heritage room on the second floor. JULY 2025 UPDATE: Stayed in Room 11 for two nights. While the room was quite large and comfortable, it is right across from the ice machine. It was running all night, crushing ice, repeatedly waking me up. I had to go to the pharmacy to buy earplugs for my second night.
