The place was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated which added to the complete relaxation we experienced staying at The Cottage at Sunday Haus in Fredericksburg. We stayed back in 2021 and absolutely loved it so revisited again 4 years later. It still has the same charm and has everything you need. However, there are some things to note… the bed this time around wasn’t nearly as comfortable as it was back in 2021. I’m a side lying sleeper… the bed dips towards the center so I found myself in the middle of the night having to hold myself so I wouldn’t sink into the bed. But, the pillows are insanely comfortable. I love the pillows but didn’t like that it would leave my hair very staticky. I don’t know what the sheet material was but I think cotton sheets would fix this problem. We also had our infant with us. We like to do no shoes so she could safely crawl around without picking up too many germs. We didn’t see any access to cleaning materials so we went to go buy a swiffer from a nearby Walmart to clean the floors so we could safely let her crawl around. It took several rounds of swiffer sweeping and mopping to get the floors to a somewhat comfortable level of cleanliness to do so. I think the floors could be cleaned a bit better by the cleaning staff. The AC doesn’t reach well into the restroom either so just be mindful of that. It can get pretty humid pretty quickly even with the fans running. Luckily there was a dehumidifier running which we did empty once during our stay. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. We hope to stay here again in the future but hoping some of these small issue will be addressed. Including a photo of the cottage during our very first stay in 2021.
