Whenever I am Kodaikanal , I buy local oils, locally manufactured beauty and herbal products . I used to go to the small shops near the lake. Recently when I was in Kodaikanal I didn’t plan to , but entered this shop - Kaleeswari Supermarket to check out oils and herbal products. This shop is in the main central Kodaikanal , at Bazaar road. I found that their items collection is vast . They told me that most of the products that they sell are locally made , and produced. Some of the products are handmade by local women .
They patiently explained to me each and every product which I asked for. Showed and explained to me various other products. All the members in Kaleeswari Supermarket are very well behaved. They do mildly push for buying some products but if you show them your disinterest they understand, and don’t push further.
It was indeed a very good experience shopping from this place. I did buy a lot of oil bottles and herbal handmade products. I am using all the products right now , and the quality of the products are very good. They also deliver the products to Bangalore , if you order them over the phone or whatsapp.
I will surely return to this shop if I go to Kodaikanal.

I did some surfing on pain relaxant oils come to know this great shop, I was awestruck seeing so many products on their website. I am in Chennai don’t know when I get a chance to visit Kodaikanal, I was so happy that they are delivering your orders doorstep. Without a second thought I have enquired about oils and dry fruits. For oils I bought eucalyptus oil which is so magical ( either add few drops while bath or take steam inhalation with it ) that’s it you’re done for the day. It keeps us active throughout the day. I have ordered green tea bags and lemon grass oil, they promoted good sleep.( For note: I have added a drop of lemon grass oil while taking green tea ).
And finally, tea tree oil it’s an angel of oils, you can use it for hair care, skin care, anti fungal and anti inflammatory and so on… it works wonders. From next I am thinking of buying their spices and dry fruits, hope that will be a quality products too. And would love to try their skin and hair care too. Kudos for doing a great job!!!

Incredible spread of cheeses ranging from plain Gowda to cheddar and onwards to Parmesan, chilly and pepper cheddar. Lovey butter as well.

Went there with least expectation and was pleasantly surprised with the course and it’s not easy one due to climbing up and down and also few holes are very very challenging as not easy to get pars. Prem was my caddy nice person and also very knowledge on the game and gave good tips and was one of the reason for me to go there second time. Enjoyed playing there. Excellent rare handicrafts and tapestry collections. These products as made by physically challenged artists and the contributions of these goes to support their artwork.
The shop owner miss Fathima is very sweet lady who has been in town since her childhood and she aspires to bring these masterpieces made by these artists to tourists that come to Kodai. We got candles, tapestry and soaps from this store.
All the products sold are eco-friendly and the prices are very reasonable considering the shipping cost. I highly recommend everyone to try out these products. Me and wife we feel in love the products we bought. They also have another store within Hotel Leposhe Kodai.

Amazing hand embroidered items, clothes for children under 3 are a knockout, as are the home linens. Clothes are made by women trained and working for NGO, so it's all for a good cause. Highly recommend.
