We arrived without a booking, not realising the place is usually booked well in advance. The view alone is breathtaking, a perfect spring day in Queensland, right on the water. Lunch was the famous Moreton Bay Bug Roll with mayonnaise, sriracha, gem lettuce and a soft brioche bun. They call it a snack, but it is a moment. The balance of flavours is unreal, and now I understand why this dish has such a reputation. The atmosphere, the view, the food, everything was on another level. The service was exceptional. The wait staff were super friendly and even though it was clearly a busy day, they still took the time to chat briefly, explain the dishes and guide us through our choices with genuine passion. It was our first visit and all the savoury food was excellent. Extremely high standard. Would have been a 5 star but the desert which was not great at all.
