Lunch was alfresco in their courtyard with massive trees providing shade and a light breeze. There was amble parking onsite. The meal was such a treat for us – before we even had the menus, we had a delight of treats to tempt the palate. We ordered their 5 course lunch which although good, will be filling. From langostines to the veal – every dish was a lovely culinary journey. Some tastes are pleasingly familiar (i.e. a curry foam over seafood) yet a refreshing twist or dimension can always be found. Every course made you close your eyes and savour as your tastebuds danced. Service was excellent with all waiters helpful and unobtrusive, fluent English speakers which helps us, and eager to help for anything you need (including asking where to visit in the city centre and where to park!!). Finally, we met the chef himself and what a treat to chat with him – he told us of the history of the location (it was abandoned for 30 years before they took it over and transformed it into the lovely restaurant it is today) and came back twice to check on our meal.
