Porthmeor Beach Cafe is a popular spot located on the Atlantic side of St Ives, offering stunning views of the beach and serving as an ideal place to watch surfers and sunsets. The cafe features heated booths for cooler months and offers a diverse menu ranging from build-your-own breakfasts to tapas, imaginative cocktails, and classic cream teas.
If you want amazing views, good coffee and breakfast this is the place to go. Food was good quality, hot and the sausages were amazing. Staff were very friendly, always willing to help. The waitress even went out of her way to get our little boy more strawberries. Excellent location, amazing views and lots of seating inside and outside. Very highly recommended 👌

The cafe lives up its reviews. The food was unique and tasty, and the service was good. It was a busy day, and after a parking nightmare, we were an hour late - but they called me, and they accommodated us. Even in the restaurant we had to move table and they were super proactive and helpful.
Nigel D — Google review
Absolutely superb breakfast, in a wonderful cafe with incredible views. The place is amazing, sat on the cliff face with the beach and sea right opposite, the views are superb. They have various seating areas, inside, in the pods (recommended) or on the benches on the lower level. The service was immaculate, they look after you, are set up with colouring kits for kids etc. We both had the Build Your Own breakfasts with various items. All were superb. Really really good. Cannot recommend highly enough and we’ll be back for a lunch or dinner in the next day or so. Loved it. Edited the review to reflect that we also had our evening meal here. And what a place! If you book at the right time you get to see a stunning sunset. Food wise the evening menu was delicious. We really enjoyed it. We shared scallops, pork tacos, crispy sea bass, tortilla, tomato and moz salad. The little fella had, as usual, chicken and chips.
Gary O — Google review
Amazing food with an even better view! We tried the tapas — halloumi, crab croquettes, scallops, and beetroot salad — all delicious, the scallops were a first for me (and did not disappoint!). Perfect spot to relax with a drink while looking out over Porthmeor Beach.
Rachel B — Google review
Fabulous! Definitely one of our new favourite spot in Cornwall to enjoy the ocean view and good quality food! Service impeccable! We spend around £40/50 pp because we had 2 beers and 2 glasses of Prosecco, otherwise we would have spent around £30 each tasting quality food! Highly recommended!
Micol M — Google review
We enjoyed our breakfast here three mornings during our visit to St Ives. The food is excellent and the service was fantastic. We had a table inside right above the beach and it was a lovely way to start the day. I had my first cream tea ever in England and it was delicious.
Doreen G — Google review
Had dinner with friends here on our last night in St Ives. We booked a pod that came with spectacular views of the beach and a beautiful sunset. The food was really good, the star of the show was the crispy sea bass but was impressed with all the dishes we had. Service was faultless, nothing was too much trouble. Anyone who visits here will be in for a treat but make sure you book in advance as it gets very busy.

Amazing restaurant over looking the delightful porthmeor beach. Worth a visit to watch sunset, surfing, and seagulls. Delicious food, great service and good value. Will be back!

Porthminster Beach Cafe is not your average beach-side cafe; it's a serious restaurant with a laid-back beach house vibe. The menu, curated by Australian chef Michael Smith, features Mediterranean flavors and fresh seafood, along with posh fish and chips. The restaurant offers friendly service, fresh decor, and stunning views over Porthminster Beach.
Great lunch! It ain't cheap but lunch at the Porthminater was the food highlight of our trip to St Ives. Our dog Herbie was offered a bowl of water, very important to us as dog owners, and the service continued to impress. Polite and prompt, it is not surprise that you can find the Pothminster in the Michelin guide, the service was excellent throughout our lunch. The food was excellent, my pork cheek and my wife's monk fish curry are worthy of particular mention, and was complemented by stunning views across Porthminster beach. I can highly recommend, if you have the funds!
Terence A — Google review
Food is excellent, sea bass was freshly cooked and pork rib grilled to an excellent state. The beach view from balcony was fantastic and we took quite a lot photos. The service is first class. Just the price was a little bit pricy. Better to leave some time for parking the car at station car park if you come over by car.
Wendiddd — Google review
Beautiful restaurant with a view! Very lucky to hav a sea view seat, seafood is fresh and taste great! Love the crabmeat salad, taste refreshing, I enjoy the mussels a lot, perfectly cooked and the white wine sauce is on spot! Our waiter is very nice to make sure we have been looking after! Thank you !

Every dish at Porthminster Beach Cafe (Restaurant) was superb. Squid, pork cheek, lobster and cod, fresh and faultlessly cooked and presented with wonderful friendly professional service (thankyou Shaun, you were wonderful). Brilliant restaurant with amazing views. Highly recommended. Thankyou.

Fantastic evening meal with family for a special occasion Been before so know how good it is, the food is superb, good fresh fish Service was really attentive and relaxed, and even though we had 2 young children with us there was no rush to get us out

Fabulous food! Catch of the day is super fresh, also LOVE the squid and seafood curry. Service is also nice, view is brilliant.

We booked a table for dinner at Porthminster Beach Café and were seated by the wall. I asked if we could move to an empty window table, but was told it had been booked and the guests would be arriving shortly. However, by the time we left, the table was still empty. It felt like they could have let us sit there with the understanding that we’d need to vacate by a certain time. The food was fine, but nothing particularly special. Overall, a bit disappointing given the reputation, price and location.
Fair Y — Google review
Porthminster Beach Café in St Ives delivers a superb dining experience in a stunning beachfront setting. A 10/10 experience, without hesitation. We visited for my wife’s birthday and were impressed by the warm, attentive service, complete with a birthday card on the table and a candle in her dessert. The highlight was the catch of the day. Red Gurnard, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. It was, without question, the best piece of fish I’ve ever had so far. While prices are premium, the quality of the food, thoughtful service, and breathtaking views make it well worth it.

Scoff Troff Cafe is a vibrant and cozy spot in St Ives, offering a delightful dining experience with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. The cafe welcomes both two-legged and four-legged guests, making it an ideal place to enjoy imaginative breakfast, brunch, or lunch items. From the classic Scoffs English breakfast to unique dishes like Crab Rarebit and Aussie Toast, there's something for every palate.
The service is fantastic! The staff are so friendly and a pleasure to be around. But the food... I don't think I've ever eaten something so perfectly cooked! It was perfect in every way possible! - Chunky chips were crispy and fluffy, bacon and sausages were succulent and juicy. I cannot rate this place high enough! ∞/10. Absolutely divine!

The most amazing breakfast we have ever had! The service was great and the food came out quickly too. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had a double English, the smoker and an eggs Benedict and all were divine. Added benefit is that dogs are allowed in, and they have a doggy menu. Thank you.

Our second visit this week. And even better than the first. The service was superb again, it’s a nice place, brilliant location. She had Avo and Eggs again - loved it. I had Welsh Rarebit. Wow. It was simply amazing. The best Welsh Rarebit I have ever had. The little fella had some toast. Brilliant cafe. On our previous visit I had a Croque Madam, and it was delicious.
Gary O — Google review
Popped in to the cafe this morning for breakfast. Lovely staff and interior is funky. Had the double full English which was superb, the waffle stack one had looked amazing and the poached eggs and avocado also looked really good. The pot of tea was great All in all a great place to visit and would recommend it. Ignore the moaners, I doubt they've ever cracked a smile since birth.

A good place for families to grab a quick brunch. Crab sandwich was really good. Flatbread brisket was on the dryer side, but was quite flavourful. Atmosphere was lively, decor was interesting and seating was comfortable/spacious.

Visited twice and had very yummy coffee, a really nice breakfast on the first visit and a delish scone on the second, with cornish jam and everything! Very cute atmosphere too ☺️ Great vegan options for my partner too.

We stumbled upon this café when we were looking to get a quick lunch before leaving St Ives and it was such a lovely find. Generous portions, good coffee, lots of options for vegetarians and very friendly service.

Seafood restaurant
The Beach Restaurant is a long-standing favorite owned by a local family since 1957. It's located in the heart of the Wharf, offering stunning views across the bay. The restaurant features an extensive menu with locally sourced seafood, poultry, meat, and game. Additionally, it boasts a traditional wet fish counter with a variety of locally landed specialty fish and seafood.
Had the best experience dining in here. Seafood is amazing, staffs are nice and friendly. A big shout out to a lady who served us lunch 12-2pm on 28 Jul 2025, she let us in with our dog which is rare in most restaurants. She also gave us the best service, brilliant food choice advice. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back
Tracy L — Google review
Great food at a good price considering the area and placement of the restaurant. We really enjoyed our food and thought it was good bang for the buck. I thought the fish was lovely, decent size and the chips were good. Steak was also really good given a £12.99 steak and chips deal. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had a lovely sea view but had a street performer singing through the windows 😂
Izzy L — Google review
Tasty chowder, great creamy sauce for chip dipping. Nice seats. It was very busy when we visited, the place felt slightly understaffed as the few staff that worked there were rushed off their feet. However, saying that, the staff kept on checking up on us and always seemed friendly. Drinks and food came reasonably quickly. Wasn’t overly pricey. Nice place with good views.
R. G — Google review
I wanted quality fish and chips by the sea and unfortunately that’s not what I got. The chips seem to be fried oven chips rather than fresh potato and I was given haddock when I ordered cod. The fish itself was nice but wasn’t the cod I was expecting. Just serving proper chips would improve things massively.
Darren M — Google review
Seeing some mixed reviews my expectations about the food were pretty average, but to my pleasant surprise the food, and the service far exceeded them. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful in giving recommendations. Since this was lunch time, I ordered their tomato soup, monkfish and Panna Cotta for dessert. Every dish was very nicely presented, well cooked, and tasted great. Their chef definitely has talent. I can absolutely recommend this place based on my experience.

As we entered with dog one of the staff said “ oh we have prince walking through the door” I felt so welcoming… and the FOOD omg! I didn’t expect everything to be so delicious specially VEG PASTA WITH PRAWNs love it❤️

Probably the best seafood we’ve had in a while. Prawns were tender with delicious garlic butter, very generous portion sizes. Mussels soft and cooked well in moorish white wine creamy sauce. Gorgeous view too!

The Yellow Canary is a charming and stylish cafe located in St Ives, near the Castle Inn. It offers a variety of classic pasties, cakes, and pastries, including a delightful cream tea best enjoyed after a day of activities. The cafe prides itself on simplicity and quality produce, with a strong partnership with Origin Coffee of Helston. This family-run establishment welcomes dogs and provides a tranquil setting for enjoying morning coffee and treats before exploring the town or relaxing by the sea.
We bought a Chicken, Bacon and Cheese Pasty. It was unreal. We bought a Cinnamon Bun too which was fantastic, really tasty and crispy on the outside. The guy who served us was really friendly, and only took a few minutes to heat the pasty up. Cost us £9, which I guess isn’t cheap, but for the quality of the food it’s definitely worth it. Would recommend to anyone in St Ives and will go again.

Yummy! All the staff were soo nice. I had the sweet apple and blackberry pastie that was vegan 😋 and they gave us tap water as we didn't order any drinks. The sweet pastie was so so yummy!!! Would 100% recommend
Emma O — Google review
A lovely little cafe in the heart of st Ives. We visited a few times as they did gluten free pasties. The food is good but I do feel the prices are a little on the high side, and it would be nice to see a sandwich option thats without pork or brie. The iced coffee is good and the staff are really friendly. There isn’t loads of seating available but when you do get a space it’s a nice atmosphere or you can take away. They also do gluten free scones!
Jess D — Google review
Lovely cafe for a nice breakfast. It was our last day before heading back and we haven’t had a cream tea so we went there for a cream tea and as it was our last meal we also ordered the scotch eggs and a sausage roll. We thought the cream tea was really good but a bit over price as it came without a tea. The scotch egg was a bit dry, however on the other hand, the sausage roll was really good and we had the best coffee from St Ives. A bit of mix feeling but we would definitely give them a go. We didn’t have the sandwich but they look good also.
Daniel A — Google review
We were looking for a Cream Tea in St Ives and this little cozy cafe didn’t disappoint us. The cream tea was absolutely delicious, my daughter just had the “best brownie ever” and I had a heavenly scrumptious Apple & Blackberry Pastie. I would come back one thousands times, nice staff, very clean and exquisite food variety
Daniel A — Google review
This is a lovely small café (literally 5 or so tables). The staff were very warm and welcoming, and the cream tea was the best I have ever had. I would recommend this place heartily, they deserve all the business they can get. (We went as a family of 4, but probably best suited to pairs.)
Ben S — Google review
I cannot thank staff enough for all their help and support, when I became unwell just before eating their delicious food and needed an ambulance. Professional and very attentive on a very busy Bank Holiday Monday. Thank you once again!! I do plan to return sometime for a calmer dining experience.
Debbie F — Google review
Really disappointed! Worst gluten free pasty and scones we’ve ever had! And I don’t say this lightly! We were directed here by another bakery after asking for gluten free pasties and scones. We heard them directing every who asked here! Queued for ages for a table. Staff were rushed and busy. Not particularly helpful or interested. When we received our gluten free pasties and scones they came served heated within plastic wrap! They were highly processed and awful substitutes for the real things. Dry and chewy. Nowadays so many places make such amazing gluten free options there really is no excuse for such a sub standard offering. Don’t waste your time!! Really not worth the visit if you’re gluten free.

The Sloop Inn is a harbourside 14th-century pub in Cornwall, boasting simple and modern rooms with flat-screen TVs. While its claim to be one of Cornwall's oldest inns dating from 1312 is unverified, the present building dates back to the 17th-18th century. The interior exudes an atmospheric charm with low beamed ceilings and slate floors, creating a cozy ambiance.
A lively seaside bar with every table at the entrance fully occupied. As we walked in, both the staff and customers were warm and welcoming, giving the place a strong local pub vibe. We ordered the seafood platter and chips, and the mussels were so delicious that we ended up ordering an extra portion. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and overall it offered great value for money. To our surprise, it turned out to be the most satisfying dinner of our trip. Highly recommended!

One of the best pubs in St Ives, gorgeous location overlooking the harbour beach in the sunshine watching the world go by and the seagulls. Then step inside to the cosy bar with low ceilings, friendly staff, good food and a lovely atmosphere. The steak deal was fantastic with a free bottle of wine and so delicious, cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. St Ives and Carbis Bay absolutely gorgeous. X

We came here to meet friends, the wine was lovely , the staff are friendly and the service is very good. Guinness was very nice 👌 Stunning views and managed to get a table outside eventually. We didn't mind sitting inside too. We ate here 4 years ago and it was delicious. We didn't eat here this time but the food that went past looked amazing and smelt so good Highly recommend a visit when in St Ives.

The pub is awesome, food and drinks. In our opinion one of the best to get delicious seafood. We had great lobsters and other seafood several times there. Thank you so much!
Matthias W — Google review
We've stayed here before it's a great location with parking is off site but nearby. The room we stayed in was clean with lovely views and a slightly sloping floor. The floor made the bed slope and it was disconcerting to find yourself nearly falling out! The shower was lovely but they do not supply shower gel. There was too much furniture in the room and a tricky staircase to use. It's an old building with lots of quirks but the bed needed levelling. The food in the pub was great. We would stay again but not in that room.
Janet L — Google review
A popular spot for both tourists and locals. They have a wide selection of beers at reasonable prices. The Rattler on tap is also a big bonus!

The mussels were great. Plump and perfectly cooked. The crab linguine was very disappointing. Bland and over cooked. The overbearing signs about glassware spoil the feel outside.

Porthgwidden Beach Cafe is a charming restaurant located in a small and sheltered bay between St Ives The Island and its picturesque harbor. With its sizable terrace offering beach views, the cafe provides a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can enjoy Mediterranean, British, and Asian flavors. The menu features tapas-style small plates including Newlyn crab nachos, Cornish mussels, and Tuscan-style pizzas.
I was really debating between four and five stars on this one though in the end I chose the latter. The reason is that in my opinion food is the most impactful on a review. Though over all the staff was lovely and had a nicely themed environment. The lady who served me was extremely friendly and polite. For example we were all planning on getting a crab sandwich with I side of chips but she informed us that the crab sandwich would already have a small portion of chips instead of just letting us buy extra which of course would result in a higher cost. Overall very nice place definitely would come again.
Dominic H — Google review
Fantastic beach side - more than a cafe - serving lovely food. Very friendly and welcoming. We had a selection of dishes - Crab Taco, Garlic Prawns, Mussels with fries and beautifully soft bread and really creamy butter!
Andrew M — Google review
Nice place on Porthgwidden Beach, had a lovely table with a beautiful off the beach and beyond. Apart from the burger which looked dry and overcooked the food was pretty good and served generous portions. The service was OK, nothing special and felt a bit rushed to get us to leave after we just finished our meal. A bit of improvement around service and teach the kitchen how to make a decent burger then they’ll be on to a winner!
Scott B — Google review
We come across this Beach Café by chance, it's tucked away down the beach approach just off the St Ives - Island car Park. Got to say the drive to and from the car park was tight and through the town, but we managed to squeeze down the tight roads in our Ford Ranger. The Porthgwidden Beach Café was a lovely unexpected jewel, we were greeted by the staff and seated at the lovely window table overlooking the bay. The food choice was just what we expected, and the quality was 2nd to non, we both had the fish and chips, which was great quality and taste. The service was extremely quick, and the staff where really friendly, giving us advice on the scenery and where we should visit. All in all I will give this place a 5/5 for food, service and a friendly atmosphere. We will definitely save this as a favourite for when we return back to Cornwall.

Well .. it was our 1st wedding anniversary & needless to say we had to go back to where we had our wedding breakfast mealy , only the two of us instead of the 3o one year ago this time round .. & what a joy ( cheaper too , lol ) , great views just as before & made relaxed .. quick catch up with 'Will' (plus others) & food ordered , service although a different waitress was second to none .. amazing food & 1st steak since being in town for the week , excellent perfectly cook & the lemon sole too . Wined Dined & Reminisced , fab evening & we'll be going back for sure ... why shouldn't we the food alone is enough.

The reason why is just one star for food is because we get squid rings which we paid £8.95…shocking, we got also burgers which was brilliant, perfect . You can see it in the picture. That was from takeaway

The Lifeboat Inn in St Ives offers cozy rooms and apartments with complimentary Wi-Fi within a charming pub that boasts picturesque harbor views. This family and dog-friendly establishment is known for its fantastic food, particularly the carvery, and an impressive selection of beverages. The inn's rustic yet contemporary ambiance provides a perfect setting for enjoying coffee by the log fire or a romantic evening out. Situated next to the lifeboat house, it is advisable to make reservations due to its popularity.
Had a great meal tonight, we booked for 20 family members. The guys and girls couldn’t do enough for us, the staff were amazing and friendly. Meals were fantastic. I had a steak that was tender and tasty and the chefs had cooked to how I wanted.
Paul S — Google review
The good, the bad, and the unacceptable. The good - the pub is in such a wonderful position and if you're fortunate enough to eat at a window table, the view across the harbour is to die for. There's also a relaxed, unhurried vibe to enjoy regardless of your table. The bad - the Sunday carvery seems to be unmissable. After all, what is not to like about crispy roast potatoes and crackling along with your pork. The reality, however, took me back many years to school dinners. The potatoes, if they ever were crispy, were served beneath gravy soaked pork, so, of course they were soggy. No crackling came with the meal and the Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and dry. There's more, but you've got the idea. On a small plus side, the manager, did deduct the cost of two meals. However, I would have much preferred, not a deduction, but a genuine apology and, surely, a commitment to let the kitchen staff know that the food quality was unacceptable. Not many changes would be needed to transform the food into something that would encourage customers to return rather than look elsewhere. As a local, I have always previously enjoyed eating here, so feel badly let down on this occasion.

Fantastic location right on the harbour, with spacious rooms and genuinely lovely staff — both the check-in and dining room teams made us feel welcome. A few areas could be improved: the room access via a narrow alley and banging staircase door, very low shower water pressure, and slow breakfast service with a limited buffet. Still, a great spot in the heart of St Ives.

Stayed for 2 nights September 25, Gorgeous building on the harbour of st.ives, we were expecting to park up and walk a fair way with suitcases because of location... It is what it is... Be prepared. Checked in, nice social area, the lady who checked us in was pleasant and showed us to our room. Out of a side door in to an alley, in through another side door and up a really steep staircase...if you're not able bodied?, this isn't the place for you. Our room was large and comfortable, everything you would expect for the price point, clean and spacious. The water pressure....abysmal. it took nearly an hour to run a bath... I don't know if anything can be done about that?. The shower was slow but functional. I've seen a nose run quicker than the taps. In the room we were in, there weren't any views but we were out and about so it didn't really matter. The bar was well stocked, sporting events on the screens, so if you are a sports fan?... You're catered to. The breakfasts were very nice but the service at breakfast was minimal and awkward. First morning, there wasn't any juices available, but the second morning there were. I don't know if I was being stupid?, but cereal and milk was available but apparently nothing to put them in?... Again I don't know if I was being stupid or not looking in the right place, but I would expect the necessary wares to be obvious. Nice selection of pastries and condiments and the butter was soft which is rare. You are shown to a table by the first staff member you come in to contact with, but after that it's whoever you can get the attention of.... And the food is good. But after it's been delivered we had no follow through or check in, no offer of drink refills and while I'm on the subject.... The tea is not good. Boasts at being a Cornish blend but if that means 'piddle weak'?... They need help. It's a lovely, building, a fantastic location, the rooms are nice, the food is nice.... But the service isn't there, there is no structure to the customer facing roles, it's a bit whoever, whenever. Upon checking out?.... We just left the key on the bar with a wave to a staff member sat in the office. No follow up about our stay, were we happy?, were there any issues?, the beer barrel banging in the alley at 6 in the morning right underneath our room wasn't the worst thing to happen in the world, but it did wake us up. The facilities are there, it's not amazing stay but it's satisfactory, but the service is substandard for the price point... And I get it, it's a popular town, an amazing sought after location.... They don't need the repeat business because they will get new business year on year regardless.

Been going for the last few weeks.....but this week was a new menu, the Sunday roast was good. Choice of 3 meats , chicken, beef(on the pink side) and pork. Plenty of vegetables come with the roast, and if you wanted more side cost about £3.50 each...the food was delicious and was told it was a new chef...you can tell from previous weeks...worth a booking if in the town and I look forward to trying the menu in the week...will keep going 👍

Been coming here for years when on holiday but today has put us off returning , the food and the view is great but the staff were rude , yes the table we were sat at was reserved but we still had 15 minutes before that time and we were told “I need the table back” no hi just to let you know I’ll need the table soon or how was our food etc plus we were still finishing our food , so we’re gonna find somewhere else to spend our money . Such a shame as we’ve had such good food and lovely staff before

My Friend and I had a lovely lunch of Local Ham,eggs and chips. It was delicious 😋. Also had a couple of pints of Korev!! I however managed to leave my phone behind and it was very kindly handed in to the staff, so whoever you were I am so thankful and the barmanager was brilliant in making sure it was my phone before he let me take it, which is only right. All the staff are very friendly and the customer service is second to none. We will be back. It's one of our favourites.

Awful experience. We got seated on a bench with 4 other people and there were tables free. Asked if we could move after a while they agreed. Waited an hour for the main meal to arrive after ordering it and it was cold and dried up when it arrived. It was clear it had been sitting there. The burgers were pink inside. Service was awful as table was dirty and glasses not collected. The manager was rude when we explained the meal was cold. Asked for a refund she came over slammed the money on the table. Do NOT eat here its horrible

Host St Ives is a stylish restaurant and cocktail bar located in the old Natwest Bank building, offering a unique charm with traditional brickwork, high ceilings, and original features. The owners, Rassie and Victoria Cloete, have transformed the space into deluxe suites for holiday-goers on the first floor. The restaurant serves excellent food in a vibrant atmosphere and welcomes dogs. Guests can also enjoy sitting by the open fire during winter months while savoring delicious roasts on Sundays.
This review is about the rooms. A perfect base in St Ives with an unforgettable host. Host St Ives was the ideal base for exploring this stunning part of Cornwall. Rassie is an exceptional host—helpful, genuinely friendly, and full of great local tips. His warm South African accent alone could brighten your day, and honestly, I’d happily grab a pint with him anytime. He even inspired us to go for a sunrise swim in the sea—an unforgettable experience! The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, with thoughtful details in every corner. The interior is stylish, the lighting can be adjusted with different ambient scenes, and even the shower gel smells like gorse—the iconic yellow flowers you see everywhere around here. As tempting as it is to just relax in the room, be sure to get out and explore. There’s so much to do in and around St Ives: hike to Zennor or even Gurnard’s Head, take a boat trip, visit beaches, explore the chapel, discover great restaurants, check out 3 Mile Beach, or catch a film in the small cinema just around the corner. Highly recommended—we’ll be back!

Easily our favourite restaurant in St Ives! The food and drinks are an absolute delight - so many unique and delicious textures and flavours that complement one another perfectly. We enjoyed the best Sunday dinner we've ever had right here! Then there's the lovely owner and his fantastic staff, who always offer a warm welcome and provide excellent service from start to finish. And we have to mention the ambiance and decor. The building has been lovingly restored and is beautifully decorated throughout. All this and its dog friendly too! The perfect place to eat, stay and enjoy your favourite tipple. We LOVE it!

Lovely family meal (for 8). Booked a few weeks in advance. Amazing wood fired pizzas, brilliant cocktails, friendly and attentive service. Would recommend! Located in central St Ives, in a historic building. Great visit.

Sunday roast was the best pub roast I can remember having, absolutely delicious! Staff were friendly and welcoming (sadly unlike many other places in St Ives) and they fitted us in even though we didn’t have a booking. Ambience / styling in the restaurant is great too. Wish we were here long enough to come back for another Sunday roast. Highly recommended!!

We popped in for a cocktail and a pizza. Lovely friendly service and honestly, I’ve had many pizzas in my time, but the pepperoni, nduja and hot honey pizza was excellent. I had a negroni - very good and my partner the passionfruit martini, also excellent. The atmosphere was cosy and live music (mixed experiences in many places in the past) was perfect for the venue. You guys were busy but maintained high standards, thank you, we’ll be back.

Sea of Coffee is a charming coffee shop in St Ives that offers a delightful experience. Visitors rave about the homemade soup, particularly the sweet potato and red pepper variety served with a freshly baked roll, perfect for an autumn lunch. The hot chocolate and seasonal flavors are also highly recommended. The place has a good vibe, is dog-friendly, and offers clean facilities. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the generous serving sizes of their delicious coffee drinks.
this shop is great!! upon entering, we immediately noticed how polite the staff are - it was lovely to receive such excellent service from kind people😁 then when the staff gave us our drinks and food, we were surprised to see the size of the mugs - as coffee lovers, we went to coffee HEAVEN. also the rocky road was super yummy & the interior looks divine. altogether our experience was lush, thank you very much x

Popped in for a brunch stop and the coffee was definitely the highlight: rich, smooth, just what I needed. I had a bacon bap with scrambled eggs, which were decent, though nothing too special. The lovely staff made up for it: super friendly and welcoming. A nice little spot to start the day right.

Nestled in the charming Old Foundry Chapel, Feed is a must-visit for street food enthusiasts and coffee lovers alike. This beloved spot often has a line of eager patrons, but trust me, the wait is absolutely worth it! Start your day with one of their delightful breakfast boxes to enjoy by the beach or swing by later for some freshly brewed coffee paired with scrumptious pastries. Just off the viaduct, Feed also operates alongside its sister venture, Fed.
I’ve never been to a better food stall, if you can even call it that, may as well be a restaurant! The food is really really good, having steak nights and burger night, with loads of options, as well as their extensive normal menu of salads and tacos and cakes and just all the bits and bobs you fancy. The fish tacos were banging, the fish being flakey and flavourful, delightful! We had a couple smoothies too, which were also good, matching the vibes. Honestly 100% worth stopping by, especially as there isn’t too many good places in Hayle, so this should definitely be the top of your list. They even do coffees and pastries if that’s more your thing. They’ve got you covered.

Food here is absolutely phenomenal! Coffee is great. I eat here a few times a week and have tried almost everything on the menu and can't fault a thing. Party food for my daughters birthday was a massive hit! The kids especially loved the mini burgers and smoothies. Lush outdoor seating area, really child friendly with little watering cans to water the flowers. I would definitely recommend to anyone that will listen to me go on and on about amazing food!

Really friendly staff, fun atmosphere, you can take your own booze to sit in the little garden at the side(only a handful benches however) The food is top quality, tastes so delicious and cooked to order. Easy to make amendments aswell with no fuss. Highly recommend visiting here if your in Hayle, best place around for coffee and food. Excellent value for money. Can't wait to go again as their is a good variety of healthy food options such as super food salads aswell naughty but nice treats! Soft drinks and cakes are also sold here!

If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary experience, look no further than Private Chef Natasha. She specializes in creating exquisite meals tailored to your dietary needs, including gluten and dairy-free options. Whether it's a last-minute booking for a special occasion or a planned celebration, Natasha ensures everything runs seamlessly from the initial menu planning to the final dish served at your table.
Food was one of the most important parts of our wedding weekend and Chef Natasha didn’t just deliver, she smashed it out of the park. We were already alighted with her style and choices of fresh local in season produce and then to get to actually taste it was incredible. A special thank you for letting us come into the kitchen to have the first look and taste of all our beautiful canapés, the main beef was perfectly tender and the dessert had a pink flare with watermelon powder which made it almost too pretty to eat. It was a privilege to get to sample Chef Natasha over fire menu, the next day, despite the great British weather making it difficult, we were treated to a steak no one will be forgetting anytime soon.
Hazel B — Google review
Chef Natasha came to our house in St Ives and we ate a 7 course tasting menu as part of a special birthday celebration. The experience was unforgettable, the whole meal was fabulous with such delicious locally sourced food - Porthilly Oysters, Spinach tortellini with Trink ricotta, Fowey scallops, Cornish Lamb cannon, Cornish truffler and onion tart and a choc ice and a Mille-Feuille to finish. Natasha and Molly created a fantastic atmosphere and all was so meticulously curated. Thank you for an incredible day!

We hired Chef Natasha to cater our wedding meal at Treseren in July and it was nothing short of exceptional. We discussed our food options with Natasha prior to the wedding and she was brilliant at recommending dishes to suit our tastes and alternative dishes for some of our guest’s specific food requirements. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. We particularly loved the caramel chocolate ice and duck bao bun! Service was also fantastic. Thank you Natasha & team x
Clare M — Google review
My sisters and I booked Chef Natasha as a Christmas present for our parents (with the bonus we'd get to eat the food too). Every course was gorgeous, full of flavour and the meal timings were perfect to keep the evening and the food flowing. Honestly hard to pick a favourite dish from the 4 course selection (with one of us getting unique vegetarian dishes) but the Line Caught Sea Bass with Mussels and Caper Pomme Anna might have been mine. Chef Natasha also arrived with another Natasha who served the food and helped with keeping everything silky smooth. Expertly done from the food, to the presentation and the service. Highly recommended.
Ross C — Google review
We booked Natasha for our wedding at Treseren in April and we couldn’t have been happier with the food and service Natasha provided. We are still talking about how amazing the food was now! We opted for the wood fired dining and had such beautiful weather so Natasha cooked our food outside on the fire pit. Everything tasted amazing and we were over the moon with it all. Everyone loved Natasha’s food, especially the scallops! Natasha also did us an amazing cheeseboard! We definitely recommend and hope we get the opportunity to experience her food again in the future! Thanks so much for an amazing wedding meal!
Louise H — Google review
Natasha was absolutely phenomenal. Coming from the states to Cornwall to get married, I was of course quite nervous when it came to picking suppliers, but we found a wonderful chef in Natasha! From the initial phone discussion to planning the menu, all our stresses were taken away, and she made the wedding meal absolutely perfect! Her and her team were incredibly kind and professional, and delivered one of the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. The presentation alone was magnificent, and with taste included to.. gosh! we couldn’t have asked for a better chef. One of our guests was vegetarian, and the meal that Natasha crafted for her was just as delicious and wonderful as the sea bass the rest of my guests and I were served. If you are in need of a chef for your next event, I cannot recommend Natasha enough!
Arianna D — Google review
Natasha was a consummate professional her food, and attention to detail was superb. Her colleague "Natasha" was amazingly efficient, with a great sense of humour and the service was top notch, both great hosts! Catering for an eclectic family of seven for my Father's 80th birthday the menu she suggested was out of this world, the canapes set the scene perfectly, local produce brilliantly cooked and finished off with the best sticky toffee pudding my father has had in his lifetime! It's an experience we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a spoily celebration.
Tracey L — Google review
Natasha was brilliant and made the whole experience wonderful. From making the booking, to creating the menu, to Natasha arriving to cook in our home everything ran smoothly. We booked Natasha at the very last minute for my husband's 30th birthday. I told Natasha the myself, my husband and our friends love sea food but my oven was broken so I wasn't sure if Natasha would be able to create a 4 course menu with only a 4 burner hob...but Wow Natasha came up with an amazing menu using locally sourced ingredients. Every dish tasted incredible and the presentation was beautiful. All of our guests had a brilliant time and we were all planning our next gathering and will be looking to use Natasha again. Natasha left our kitchen absolutely spotless. I would highly recommend using Natasha.

The Cornish Bakery, situated on Fore Street, offers a wide range of pasty flavors including classic options and unique variations like Thai Chicken, Sweet Potato & Feta, and Apple, Rhubarb & Custard. In addition to pasties, the bakery serves other delectable treats such as tortillas, scones, and pizzetta. Visitors can choose to dine in or take out.
Best pasties in the whole of Cornwall. It's all about the chorizo and mozzarella! The Cinnamon buns weren't on the same level but still good, slightly dry. Maybe I just got yesterday's batch or something. The ham hock bun is what I would try next!

Loved this place! Went multiple times whilst in St Ives. I’m putting it out there that it’s the best coffee in the town! Delicious, you can tell the guys really care about what they’re serving! Pastries are also insane. I had both a chocolate torsade and the cheese and bacon croissant and my goodness they were delicious. 😋 Loved the atmosphere and had great baby changing facilities too!

Nice to find somewhere we could have a pasty but also sit down! Hubby had tried a croissant earlier in the day and said it was fab so we decided to sit and have lunch. Had the root vegetable pasty which was unusual but terrific! Also shared a slice of feta and pea tortilla which was yummy! Prices were high, especially charging for sauces was naughty as they didn't specify this when asking if we wanted any, but holiday prices expected and the unique flavours were worth it. Tap water available as self serve which was nice. Clean facilities.

The Cornish Bakery on Fore Street in Saint Ives is a real gem and one of those rare places that you want to return to again and again. During my recent visit, I was delighted to discover that they serve rhubarb pasties – a unique twist on the traditional Cornish classic and instantly my new favourite. The pastry was baked to golden perfection, with a light flaky texture, and the rhubarb filling struck a perfect balance between tartness and natural sweetness. It is a flavour that stands out and feels truly special, both nostalgic and refreshing at the same time. Alongside the pasty, I ordered a cappuccino, which was presented beautifully with a creamy pattern on top. The coffee itself was rich yet smooth, and paired wonderfully with the warm pasty. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation is something I really appreciated – it shows the pride and care the team puts into their work. The service was excellent throughout. The staff were welcoming, genuinely attentive, and created a relaxed atmosphere that made me feel very comfortable. Even though the bakery was busy, everything was handled with warmth and efficiency. It is always a pleasure to be greeted with a smile and to feel that your experience matters. The setting itself adds another layer to the visit. With its cosy charm and romantic ambiance, it is easy to sit back and take in the atmosphere while enjoying something delicious. Whether you come here for breakfast, a light lunch, or simply a coffee break, the Cornish Bakery provides a memorable experience. Overall, this bakery combines quality food, great coffee, attentive service, and a lovely setting. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Saint Ives.

Lovely pasties, I tried the Mozzarella, Chorizo and Sea Salt pasty (based on a recommendation in another review) and wasn't disappointed; the flavour was great, and a good amount of filling too. I also tried the Cornish cola too (which I'd never had or seen before) and liked it, although definitely an acquired taste, as others tried it, and some liked it and some didn't (compared the 'normal' cola).

Definitely the best Cornish Pasty I’ve tried 😋 if you eat beef 🥩 go for the traditional steak one! Their Cornish pasty is both crispy and moist 🤤 we took ours to eat by the beach 🏖️ best way to start the day ☀️ We also got a brownie to go, definitely one of the best brownie I’ve had 🍫 ! Nice and tidy place, nearby free parking. Fairly quick service. Outdoor seating which doubles as a smoking area, partially covered, with a TV. It has a couple of water dishes for dogs so I guess it must be dog friendly in the outdoor space at least. Food was OK but no specials just the regular Sizzling Pubs menu. The app was a bit of a struggle on recent visit as the layout doesn't seem to be the best for a reasonable sized phone? Quite a number of items were marked as unavailable but it quite quiet and service was quick. Update 4/22 very quiet for Sunday lunchtime and yet service was slow, mega mixed grill arrived with only one egg and not two, mushrooms were completely absent losing one star from previous review.

What can I say, assume the ‘human’ behind the bar was a manager, but wow what a misery. Food poor and ice cold and poorly cooked. Was assured ‘Ben’ the chef would be told. Booked 14 of us in to a Sunday roasty Lunch. Got there....they dont serve Sunday roasty lunch! Apparently you have to read rhe very small print online 🙄 So we all thought the next best thing would be steaks. Theu jave 5 different options....But only 1 was actually available and that was a 5oz rump. It was flat...it was a lump of fatty gristle! The red wine jui was lumpy?! The criss cross chips were actually lovely. Everyone else that disnt choose steak got an OK. Puddings were actually decent except my coffee didnt arrive. I asked for a takeaway and they had cups, but no lids, so I left it. Our waiter was polite but spoke very quietly. We were given the table right next to the mens toilet which was a lovely aroma! £5 pint of guiness which wasn't the best I've tasted. A small word of advice to them, if you have a large Sunday bookjng, maybe tell them before confirming the booking you dont setve roasts and 40% of your menu is unavailable.

Costa Coffee is a delightful counter-service coffee chain that offers an array of hot beverages, iced coolers, sweet treats, and sandwiches. Friendly staff. Nice and clean. Coffee was hot (a common failing at Costa - make sure you ask for extra hot). Incredible views over Hayle Sands and Godrevy. We had two lovely flat whites here. Amazing views from this Costa. Especially if you're a visitor and don't see the sea much. It's a late review because I am lazy but really want to give James (I think was his name and who might just be a new dude) a special shout out! We had just got here after an arduous 11 hour coach journey, having lugged out luggage from lelant and unable for a short time to check into it our hotel. But this guy! This guy was a breath of fresh air. He was so polite, so happy! It made us feel good despite being positively shattered. It's a Costa, so most will likely know what to expect. Love this Costas , the staff are amazing , friendly, courteous, helpful, all other Costas should take a leaf out of their book , especially up country the most annoying thing is now is NO BREAKFAST DEAL which is absurd as I frequent costa most days
Sally H — Google review
This Costa has one of the most beautiful views in the world! Right across the bay to the lighthouse. The coffe was excellent with friendly staff. The furniture is a little tired and well used - it could do with an update but apart from that it was a good Costa experience

Sorry, I'm sure this review will be taken down AGAIN, however, here we go from regular user.......dirty sticky tables always, esp last Monday, even chairs sticky, floor needs a good old wash, crockery well stained, staff ok, but they should be! it just feels like sitting in a huge germ, I'd rather hostile staff but clean hygenic environment everytime, thank you.

Cafe
During my recent adventure in St Ives, I stumbled upon a delightful spot known as CAFEBAR54. This charming cafe bar quickly became a favorite, offering an array of delicious options that kept me coming back for more. From their scrumptious pasties and crab sandwiches to mouthwatering pizzas and charcuterie boards, every dish was a treat for the taste buds. The local beers were also worth trying!
Great cafe bar. Went in a few times on our recent trip to St Ives. Stopped in for a coffee and a pastie, both excellent. Popped in another time and tried some of their excellent local beers. Finally the whole family had lunch there. Pizza, cheese plate, pate plate and garlic prawns all top notch. The brilliant, cheerful, friendly and efficient service were the icing on the cake. Can't recommend highly enough!

Cafe
Tea & Toast Coffee House is a charming new addition to the area, offering not only delicious food and drinks but also exceptional service. The staff members are not only knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings but also exude genuine warmth and friendliness. They take the time to engage in meaningful conversations, making guests feel valued. The place is well-decorated, clean, and spacious with a bright atmosphere.
We have been going to Wolverton for well over 5 years and have always seen this little shop, I assume they are under new management as I only recently saw some social media posts and that made me decide to give it a try! The welcome is warm and friendly and the shop has been set up to a good standard. Tables are a “little small” but one can’t expect more from such a small establishment. The food is amazing!! I had the Spanish Omelette with salad and chips - massive portions and it was hands down THE BEST omelette I have ever had! We also tried out the Turkish Breakfast and it was truly amazing! The service was good, BUT the waitress was a little TOO “involved” in our conversation which was off-putting. I would suggest focus on service and not on the customer discussions. Other than that this is a decent little venue, with an amazing food offering!

Nice food, service was professional, food was delivered quickly and tasted great. Parking is a problem. Worth checking out if you're local.

Tea and Toast Turkish Restaurant We recently had the pleasure of visiting Tea and Toast Turkish Restaurant, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our first visit was for lunch, where we enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, all freshly prepared and full of authentic Turkish flavors. Every bite was a delight, and the quality of the food clearly reflected the care and passion of the kitchen team. Impressed by our lunch, we returned the next morning for breakfast — and once again, Tea and Toast did not disappoint! The omelette was perfectly cooked, rich, and fluffy, while the English breakfast was hearty, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a relaxed breakfast or a memorable lunch, Tea and Toast Turkish Restaurant is definitely a place worth visiting. We can't wait to visit that again.

It is really nice in here as we entered the Tea and Toast Cafe we were greeted by a member staff and they were able to take our order our food, and drinks with ease and spilt the bill between us. The decor is lovely as you come in it is very calm as we eat our meal. It was very nice as I left a nice tip for the staff.

Great decor and service was very friendly. I had the Turkish breakfast which was very nice. I especially liked the pastry thing. I will come back to try the English breakfast and the pancakes as they looked good too. I'd like to see more unique Turkish dishes on the menu!

Well I went to tea and toast and I could not believe the service there was so bad they display halal but set menu so I asked to change items to make it halal and was told I can only change 1 item I explained I’m happy to pay for any changes just add to the bill I wanted to change sausage pork sausage for halal beef sausage and change black pudding for turkey bacon but he refused he said why should I change a set meal I said cos I’m willing to pay extra he was trying force me his way or nothing well he needs to learn that I’m the customer paying so if I want an extra item or change a item I should not be told my shop my way that’s cool never ever going there again disappointing and pointless you can find better someone ho will give you the customer service you deserve Muslim business wat a let down
