We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are nice and clean, beds are comfortable. Breakfast was made or order and tasted good. Staff was lovely. There’s not a ton to dinner the property, so we had to do a bit of diving during our holiday but we would recommend this hotel none the less. Also, they allow dogs which we very much appreciate.

Just had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Such a lovely place, beautiful gardens, lovely food. We had bed and breakfast and also had an evening meal one night. Delicious food. Really friendly staff. Beds were really comfortable. Mattress was great, quite soft which really suited my arthritis, but also suited my husband. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent inn, we were well looked after by very friendly staff. Breakfasts were amazing, cooked breakfast was made to order with great selection. We ate in several nights, also great selection. Now need to diet and dry out. Location was very handy for that part of Cornwall.

We stumbled upon this wonderful Inn by typing “dog friendly accommodation” into Google. It is also an adult only which was lovely. It was easy to find, although on a main road so lots of traffic noise during the day, but quietening down overnight. Our room was small but adequate and we stayed for two nights. The staff were super friendly and we sincerely felt right at home. Donna is outstanding. We had breakfast and an evening meal all of which were delicious and we even had a chat with Stan the chef to compliment him. When I say “we will be back” I am not lying. We had a really lovely relaxing time and the gardens are truly awesome. Thank you all 🙂🙏❤️

Great accommodation, food and drink. Very clean and well maintained. Service was brilliant and nothing too much trouble. Very dog friendly, allowed all over hotel and made a fuss of. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely return.

The location was perfect for both coastal and inland activities. The food was excellent! The staff were amazing and went above beyond to accommodate an isolation requirement for an evening meal. I am amazed the restaurant isn’t packed daily the food is that good.

The hotel was ideally situated for visiting a number of places, including the Eden Project. The room we had was spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped with teas, coffees etc. Mark and Francesca were excellent hosts and all the staff were very friendly. Would certainly go back there.

The Taste Brasserie is quite possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to at a hotel. The food's 10/10, atmosphere's spot on, and the service is on a whole new level! Just want to mention two of the restaurant staff that stood out for me, Diane and Ben. They were both exceptionally attentive, kind and polite.

Fabulous place to stay for touring around Cornwall. Beautiful boutique rooms. Louise and Jason were the perfect hosts giving us loads of tips on where to visit, where to eat, even where to park. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Very relaxing stay. We would not hesitate to come back.

First visit for dinner, very relaxed. Atmosphere and decor was lovely. Warm and friendly greeting. Comfortable drinks in the lounge, and unhurried to make a decision. Moved through to the library to eat, again very comfortable with some quirky decorations which fitted in beautifully. The food was very good, unpretentious but delicious. Thoroughly recommended, will definitely visit again

A birthday weekend at Boscundle Manor was an absolute delight. Excellent in every way. We loved our room and the garden is beautiful. The staff are friendly and thoughtful, always seem to be available yet discreet and not at all overbearing. The breakfast and dinner we had were just right and the recommendation of wine, top notch. We would happily return for another stay and enjoy further talks with the owner about the unusual retrophyllum rospigliosii in the grounds.

Full afternoon tea was very good. Lovely setting, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and inventive. Good mix of savoury and sweet.

Great location in Cornwall on the Southern coast with great links. Hotel has nice rooms and a useful pool area for a quick dip. Nicely kept gardens and unique interior to the place.

Stopped in here after walking around the area, they allowed our dog to come in and we sat quietly in the corner. Lovely environment! My wife had the muscles for starter, she said they were the best she's ever had! Then for main she had haddock and chips, the only negative we could say about the whole thing was the fish was a touch dry, still tasty, not overly dry, but personally she'd have liked it a touch less. I had burger and chips, lots bacon is put on the burger, lots of chips to accompany it. Overall I would defiantly recommend and return to this restaurant!

Absolutely fantastic food; I had the stone bass, which was superb and really well presented, with wonderfully soft scallops. My wife, who's veggie, found plenty to choose from when other restaurants are just offering the same handful of dishes that others offer. Great service too. Just a shame we're on holiday as it means we can't come back easily!

We came here because we were recommended by the lodge’s manager, and it was really nice! The seafood was fresh and paired well with local beers. The platter was just the right amount of food for the two of us. They had a lovely outdoor garden space perfect for the summer :)

✨️Came here for an evening out with our little group for a hen do. Could have just been us but we felt we were getting awkward looks from a lot of the other diners, we weren't a rowdy bunch but obviously had sashes on saying who we were in relation to a wedding and we felt very much stared at throughout 😅 Anyway, the food was delicious and the cocktails! Recommend the expresso martini ! The sea food platters looked incredible ! Definitely a Cornish coastal vibes going on here !

Best seafood platter my Husband and I have had. We often get platters when on holiday or abroad but this was hands down the best one. It’s locked in for the next time we come down here. Staff also lovely. ❤️

Lovely Sunday roast dinner, beef that melted in your mouth and nice roast potatoes,loved the carrots & parsnips. The only thing was that the broccoli was al dente and hard to cut but didn’t spoil the overall experience. The service was quite slow on our visit unfortunately Feedback would be to have more choice of desserts

Had a lovely meal at The Boathouse, although mostly known for its sea food, The rare lamb I had was delicious. Very nice atmosphere with attentive staff.

what an experience! They don’t actually serve Nepalese food, but hey, that didn’t stop them from trying to give us an “authentic” taste. Gotta admire the confidence! The staff were super friendly though — almost made you forget you weren’t eating anything remotely Nepalese. Almost.

The food was great, the sweet coconut rice was exactly what I was hoping it was, and when they heard it was my birthday from my dad when he booked it, they went above and beyond, and made my birthday feel like it was my birthday for once 😁 They went absolutely above and beyond with the birthday celebration, and brought out a cake with sparklers and candles on it, and I had a card from the team, and a Singh beer alongside it. It really rounded up the night and made it special. Pictures are attached of the card as well 😁 In the pictures I had Curry Salmon (orange), and I'm not sure what my Brother had (red), but it looked great. (The pictures were taken partway through the meal so bites had already been taken haha)

We came in on a Friday early evening about 4pm. It was obviously very quiet but this made no difference to us. Lovely music on and the staff were really attentive. The food was fantastic. We had a bhuna and a madras and they were incredible flavourful! First time visitors and we’ll definitely be back!

Rare evening out with my Wife as we normally come with whole family, The restaurant was a nice calm atmosphere and the food and service were both excellent and I would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic dining experience. The food was simply delicious. Myself and my partner were unsure what to choose, but Rupesh recommended some wonderful dishes, and wow, we were not disappointed. Beautifully cooked, good portions and very well priced. Oh and do try the Nepalese beer, it's gorgeous. The very friendly and genuine staff make this place really special. Tried this Nepalese restaurant in St. Austell town. It was nice experience. Friendly staff and we were well attended. Food is delicious and very affordable. We will bring our friends on the next visit.

The bar or the tour? Unsurprisingly, there was a fine choice of St. Austell beers to choose from; but the food was also delicious and sold at a reasonable price. The meat in my burger was succulent and the fries were nicely cooked and hot. My wife ordered the nachos which we presented with liberal amounts of sour cream and guacamole. The tour? Well, thank you Dave for a highly informative and enjoyable 2 hours. Lots of interesting information was delivered, and Dave was ace; so was the tasting afterwards.

We did the Brewery Tour group of 8 of us. Had Dave as our tour guide. Absolutely brilliant we learnt so much about how beer was made. Great selection of beer to taste at the end Would highly recommend this Tour. Staff lovely, great choice of beer and other alcoholic beverages.

Went on a brewery tour here with some friends, fantastic guide (Baz) who worked at the brewery for many years and STILL comes back to do tours even though he's retired! An excellent, relaxed and thorough tour, with a passionate guide and accomodating all, even those who were driving or weren't big beer fans. Good food in the bar before too.

Great place! Dog friendly. The bar is upstairs, great atmosphere. The BEST hot chocolate. They also do paddle boards of beer so you can try different ones on tap. Highly recommend

My husband and son went on the tour, they enjoyed looking around the brewery but especially the sample tasting afterwards. Baz, our guide, was very knowledgeable and likeable. Big tip - don't drive, get the bus instead so you can enjoy the samples as there are several. Didn't try the restaurant but it was popular and looked bright and welcoming. 🍺

Loved it! We did the tour for £20. Nick was our guide and we had a fabulous 2 hours. The tastings are plentiful and so much fun ☺️

The Brewery is well worth a visit. Although we didn't do the tour this time as we had visited many years ago. We had a very interesting conversation with very knowledgeable member of staff about the changing Hicks family history of the brewery. Hicks bar itself is a beautifully arranged bar serving delicious food. Although we didn't eat this time, we enjoyed the ambience whilst having a drink brewed on site. It has a well stocked shop. We treated ourselves to a bottle of their rum Hicks 125 70% proof. Haven't opened it yet, just hope it's as good as the bottle we bought 25years ago !

This was an incredible little find when we wanted someone extra special to go on our final night of holiday. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. The food was so scrummy and very well presented.

Absolutely love Edie’s, the food is incredible. The menu is always changing, there’s a good wine list and a welcoming atmosphere. Along with the incredible food comes great service, Edie’s has a knack of finding lovely, joyous humans to work for them. It’s our go to special occasion or treat restaurant.

Wasn’t absolutely sure from the outside but so pleased we went in and grabbed their last table. The service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive, the food and drink (starters were lovely, fillet steak perfectly cooked, dessert delicious). Every table was in use which lended to the buzzing atmosphere. Highly recommend either a relaxed lunch or sumptuous dinner.

Nice ambience and decor in the restaurant, my chair was unfortunately a bit sticky on the edge which i felt when pulling chair forward (probably from the previous customer). I wanted to get the waitresses attention but they all seemed busy. Not a problem, I wiped the residue away with a wet wipe. The food which we had was beautifully presented and tasty. I loved the Scallop risotto.. So delicious. Unfortunately my son’s filet steak was well done rather than medium rare which he asked for. He didn't want to make a fuss and said it was fine so he kept it. He said it was still a good piece of meat. There were 2 different lemonaid sold out which i wanted, but the one I had was nice (lime). Despite the experience not being 100%, the quality of the food is what we were there for and we enjoyed it.

My wife and I are celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary with a few days away in Cornwall, and we wanted to have a nice meal to mark the occasion. We chose EDIE'S based primarily on other people's reviews. We were not disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere were all first rate. In a nutshell, if you're looking for a lovely meal then you really couldn't do better than EDIE'S

We've eaten here a couple of times now and loved it! The service is friendly and welcoming whilst also being professional and efficient. All the staff are absolutely lovely. The venue is really well decorated, making you feel at home but also high end, the tables are a good size and the chairs are super comfy. The food! Omg the food 🤤 absolutely divine. To this day, the best food we've ever had. I had the halibut and it was delicious, such good flavour pairings! My partner had the steak and it literally melted in your mouth 😍 I could literally eat here every day for the rest of my life haha. Thanks guys!

Came here with a few work mates, we were the only ones there 6.30pm.. no atmosphere, extremely slow service to the point where we thought we had been forgotten. Drinks ordered but only came once asked for a second time; food itself was average, my dish came out barely warm, looked fine, tasted average. Over priced, wouldn’t recommend. Plenty of other places around that are cheaper and tastier with more atmosphere.

I attended eastern paradise and frankly the place is far from paradise, I think they should reinvest in a rebranding and call there establishment Eastern Bagdad because I personally would have rather eaten in an active warzone than the place I went to. 44 british pounds which I will not be getting back a 2 hour wait for food and a table of children hiding behind a curtain. I recommend that under the chef’s recommendations on the menu that it is highlighted that customers should return back their homes and microwave a rustlers burger. Thanks

Bit disappointed had 2 chicken Currys and 3 rice portions and onion bargies cost all but £50 with delivery. I had about 4 bits of chicken in my curry and it was runny and way over sweet 😞 rice was cold and bargies deep fried all I could taste was cooking oil they were all hard as way over cooked was my fav place to get Indian been going there years but sadly won't be going back

Came here last week with my brother ..There was no atmosphere at all . Service was slow too busy on their phones. Apart from 1 other person we were only ones in there. The food was not nice at all wont be returning.

I came here every night during my four night visit to St Austell - for a drink every night and I ate here on three nights. To be fair, the frequency of my visits is more a reflection of the poor range of alternative pubs and eateries in St Austell rather than a personal obsession with Wetherspoon's. Having said that, the cask ale selection is excellent and they are all well kept. In terms of food, you know what to expect in a Spoon's, and my meals were perfectly ok. The staff were great and the layout of the pub itself is very good. It's well worth a visit because you might struggle to find alternatives.

One of the best ones we've visited in Cornwall. Friendly staff and decent food. Hit and miss like many spoons occasionally.But generally it serves us very well compared to most.

Nice place. Great open space, loads of tables, drinks aren’t extortionate. Good place for a bite to eat, family meal or just drinks. Outdoor space available too:

Large group of 9, with children and adults. The staff took it in their stride, catering for both tables with little direction. Sarah, our waitress, was very upbeat and helpful. She made sure everyone had the right meals, drinks and cutlery. She checked on us once, which was just enough for us to let her know everything was good. She left the children to eat for longer but allowed the adults to clear their table, which made for a better experience all round.

Very disappointing visit , we often visit Weatherspoons for breakfast around the country as usually you can rely on a good breakfast and good value. Sadly this branch is a let down, the table was sticky on arrival so switched to another that was also sticky. We ordered via the app as per usual and this part was the highlight as the order did come out fairly quickly. All 3 of our meals were tepid with undercooked snotty eggs and also the bacon was just about cooked , the rind still white and soggy. Add the indifferent staff performance and this branch is way off what I’m used to at a Weatherspoons.

A very disappointing experience. Booked for an all you can eat at 7.15pm. Took around 20 minutes for someone to take our starters order, by almost 8pm we had only just received our first round of starters. Whilst waiting for these I asked for some prawn crackers as the children were getting hungry and restless (these after over 45 minutes had not appeared) when the first starters arrived we asked if we could order the same round again due to the wait they said yes. Another 20 minutes passed and we still had not received these by this time it was 8.30pm and we had still only had one round of starters growing increasingly concerned that the kitchen would close at 9pm. I spoke with the waitress and she apologised and rushed these out and took my mains order at the same time. For a table of 8 we received our second round of appetisers on one single small plate as pictured and it was covered in squid which we had not ordered nor would eat. Then half way through one of the children eating the chicken she realised it was pink. 8.45 one round of semi decent starters and one round of appalling starters resulting in me complaining and refusing to order more and demanding our money back and subsequently leaving still starving with children at now 9pm! Would never ever return and now see why they take payment at the start.

To be fair if I could give the food 4.9 I would. One dish was cool and another (Thai dish) was not very Thai flavoured. But the rest was amazing. Freshly cooked, not out of a freezer bag as far as we could tell. We did buffet night. Most expensive we’ve done for buffet but well worth it. Small plates, we had 6 starters and 12 mains. Fab!!! They do zero lager and zero IPA. We will definitely be going back.

Best Chinese I've had in years. Service was superb, KC was a breath of fresh air, with everything from reading the room and getting it right to ordering Sad shandy's and Rattler flavoured Rattlers. Very well catered for gluten free options 10/10, We have already booked our return visit. Superb 10/10

The staff were so lovely and welcoming, my mam struggles to walk so the lift to the restaurant area was ideal. The service, food, atmosphere and staff was amazing. We had a 2 course meal main, sides, desert and drinks and just over £100 for 4 people. The food was piping hot and very tasteful, don't change a thing it was perfect. A hidden gem and we will most definitely be back for more x thank you x

Mixed starter cold and bendy. Sweet and sour chicken balls tasted like cooked in old fat and chewy. Sweet and sor chicken same. Rice ok plain noodles not dry and all stuck together and i paid £38.40 for the privelage. Usually when we eat in food amazing.

By the end I wondered if this was a joke restaurant... Over an hour for starters to arrive. Manager rude and very happy to defend slow service as being normal... Apparently its the Cornish way.... Never experienced anything like that in all of the many years I've been working down in and around Cornwall... Moaned about having a hard time. With an attitude like that Im surprised he's in business still... There were only 3 tables of customers so not busy. No background music. No atmosphere. Food was ok. Nothing special. No offer of even a free drink for the lousy service. Just liked to argue with me about how I was wrong..... Much better elsewhere. Don't waste your money or the many hours of your life it takes to get food....

We were glad we booked dinner reservations online, as it was incredibly busy on a Monday night! This spot is a true hidden gem - delicious food, lovely ambiance, and top-notch service. David was super friendly and even surprised my husband with a complimentary glass of bubbly for his birthday. We couldn't find any fault with our dinner experience, so we'd highly recommend it!

Myself and my partner came to Springtide and we where not disappointed in the slightest. All the staff where really lovely and made sure we where well looked after throughout. The food was delicious. I ordered the scallops which where cooked to perfection for starters and my partner ordered the crab cocktail which was so creamy and yummy. For mains, I ordered the prawn linguine which I'm pretty sure had freshly made linguine and my partner ordered the seafood chowder which had an array of seafood all cooked beautifully. All the seafood was caught locally from the bay that the restaurant sits on which was amazing to hear. The price is high but you are definitely paying for quality food items here. Definitely worth visiting!

We were a group of six. The food here was excellent, everyone was incredibly happy and the service was 10/10. I unfortunately got sick from an oyster but I won’t blame the restaurant, you take your life in your hands when you eat them! Two others also had them and were completely fine, I just got unlucky. I would recommend people to come here, the fish is so fresh, and the crab mac and cheese is out of this world good.

We had an amazing meal light night! David very kindly look after us. I asked David for his recommendation on both main, starters and sides and he did not disappoint! Oysters were incredibly fresh, mussels were huge, and farmed less than 1mile from the restaurant. Wine selection was strong and all round a fantastic meal. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will not be disappointed. Not only was the food incredible, but the care and attention that was showed by David really elevated the meal! Managed to get a walk-in table in high season which was lucky, had no idea what treat we are in for. Everything was perfect - great menu options, fresh seafood, local beer, good wine, outstanding service and great views. One of the best restaurants we visited during our week long road trip around Cornwall.

Delicious fresh seafood, price worth paying for. The mussels with the Thai broth was to die for, scallops were a bit over cooked and undersized for its price. Overall, would recommend it if you like a view of the harbour at sunset.

Had dinner here, food was very good and there was a nice atmosphere. Great for fresh sea food! Staff were attentive and friendly. The none sea food options were nice aswell and all was reasonably priced.

Our group of eight was exceptionally well accommodated at Moustache Jacks x Cluck n Chuck in St. Austell. The team arranged our seating with great care and efficiency, ensuring a comfortable and cohesive setting. Service was polished, attentive, and delivered with genuine warmth. The menu offered a diverse selection, with each dish prepared to a high culinary standard. Portions were generous, and the flavours were consistently well-received across the table. This venue demonstrated an outstanding ability to cater to larger parties without compromising quality or service. Highly recommended for both casual and refined group dining.

Enjoyed a bottomless brunch for a friends birthday yesterday and everything was great. Food was delicious and all served promptly. I had the Buffalo fries and they were insane! Great selection of drinks including cocktails and all included in the price. We weren’t kept waiting, drinks were flowing constantly for the full 90 mins. Service was great too. We have been here a number of times now, it's a lovely place. It's a bit more pricey than a few other local places however it's worth the extra couple quid. The actual place is gorgeous. The decor is stunning, tables are well spaced and it's never been overly crowded when we have been. The staff are friendly and you get good service. Their coffees are the best! I've tried coffee from everywhere and theirs is definitely the yummiest. The food portions are a good size too. I have one complaint, and that is that they have changed their beans!! I used to go here just for their beans, they were delicious. So unique and literally made the breakfast sooooo good. The cowboy beans were insanely tasty but now the Boston beans are rank, very sharp and just not good at all. However the rest of the food is insane and I appreciate how much effort they put into the presentation. All in all, by far one of the best places in the area for a breakfast! Their burgers etc. Are great too! Well worth the money!

We finally got round to visiting Moustache Jacks for a meal and were not disappointed! It's got a great atmosphere and the staff were brilliant. We each had a burger and shares some fries, tenders and Mac and cheese balls. It was all well presented and most importantly really tasty. I'd highly recommend. It is on another level compared to the other local chicken establishment.

Went here because of recommendations, selection of food was good and pretty standard. Quick service and friendly staff. Our only complaint was the sausage wasn't cooked enough and the egg was pretty greasy which affected the rest of the food. On a plate on its own it probably wouldn't affect the food so much but in a bagel or the toastie, the oil soaked through. Would I go again? Maybe, but only to try the actual breakfast. However, there are plenty of other places in the area where you can get a good breakfast. Not a bad place but nothing to shout about either. Very good coffee and drinks selection as well.

When I came to do a review, I noticed the score of 4.6 out of 5. I was shocked that it wasn’t 5 out of 5. I have been past many times but never tried this restaurant until a couple of weeks ago when my wife and myself experienced what has to be the best breakfast in St Austell. Not to mention they welcomed our dog. The service was outstanding and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and drink is absolutely top quality. Yes, it is a little more expensive than some places but what you get for your money way exceeds anywhere else in town. Or the surrounding areas for that matter! I am writing this as I sit in this restaurant awaiting more yummy food and once again the service is exemplary. Keep it up guys, we will certainly be coming back again…and again!!

Recently had a visit to the Par store, lovely friendly staff, great value, clean and well presented! Couldn’t recommend this place enough for chicken burgers/loaded fries and can’t wait to try other things on the menu when we return. Ps the chocolate cake was AMAZING 🤩

Extremely disappointing. Staff not very attentive, weren't made to feel welcome. The food was so bland and badly presented. All three of us had chipped plates and stained serviettes. The rice and naans were served in cheap plastic bowls and baskets. The sauces looked like they were from a jar, no flavour to them. None of the dishes resembled their title. We're all regular curry eaters and would not recommend this place for authentic Indian cuisine.

Came in this evening for valentine’s and WOW we really couldn’t fault any of it. Thank you for a great meal and service and atmosphere, And our chocolate hearts . 10/10 . See you again soon.

Very Dissapointed , poor hygiene, tasteless just order for take out the vegetable mix curry and got a red tomato sauce dish with potatoes nothing like a veggie curry , also ordered the biryani king prawn, rice was dried left over type of rice and that was definitely not king prawns . Samosas and nan quiet taste less .Would not recommend (king prawns photo attached )

The staff here are very welcoming The food is decently priced and tastes good. I would recommend the chicken jalfrezi balti or tandoori mixed grill. Free parking outside

Dont judge a book by its cover! Not the most enticing place to look at from the outside. But inside it's clean and the food is good. Some of the dishes are a little expensive, more than London prices in some cases, but tasty nonetheless.

Excellent food, lamb was superbly cooked and everything was so yummy. Best curry in St Austell and surrounding area, highly recommend

On a short break to St Austell we ate here twice for an evening meal. On both occasions the food was lovely (be ware, the portion sizes are huge so opt for the smaller plate if you have a normal appetite) and most of the staff are attentive. However, on both occasions it was spoiled by loud staff members and their off-duty colleagues or friends, using bad language, possibly drunk. We and another couple from a nearby table moved from the restaurant to the lounge area on the second evening to finish our drinks but we could still hear them. The staff didn't seem bothered by this behaviour. This would put us off ever coming again as clearly customers don't come first in this place.

I visited today for a roast and the food itself was absolutely lovely – perfectly cooked, faultless, and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the experience was let down badly by the service. Our waiter was rude, unprofessional, and disorganised, making what should have been a relaxed meal unnecessarily difficult. Orders weren’t taken correctly, and the lack of attention to detail created a frustrating atmosphere that really spoiled what could have been a fantastic experience. Such a shame, as the kitchen did an excellent job, but the front-of-house service really needs serious improvement. A mention to the young male trainee who was very attentive and made the experience a little more bearable.

A comfortable overnight stay in an ensuite room and a good Cornish breakfast. Value for money on par with the travel hotel chains, but the location is better, staff friendly and the facilities good. The hotel has a small number of free parking slots, probably not enough for high season, but we had no problems in March. There is a cozy bar and lounge area and meals are available during the day and evening.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The bar and dining areas are welcoming and cosy. Great pub food and fantastic breakfasts. A lovely place to stay in the centre of St Austell. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay at white Hart Hotel. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. I wnjoyed a delicious evening meal of lamb shank with lots of beautifully cooked fresh vegetables. The hotel is close to the train station and shopping centre. Jack the waiter was especially friendly.

We stayed locally and decided to have some breakfast in Charlestown, before heading over to this cafe for a coffee. I had their current “Guest” coffee and it was genuinely incredible. I’ve added a photo of the coffee details from my phone as you must try it if you visit imo! The cafe itself is quaint, and the staff were very accommodating; they even happily shared the name of a song on their music playlist with my friend. Oh and we had a chocolate cookie which was also lovely. Next time I’m down in Cornwall, I’ll most certainly be coming back. Thank you

Lovely little dog friendly café. Service with a smile and very clean. It was busy but I noticed the staff were very quick to clear tables. Our iced vanilla lattes were perfect. Hubby had the Cornish Brunch without tomatoes. I had the bacon and maple pancakes. I loved mine and hubby said his was great. It is dog friendly and the car park is around the corner. Pick your table and order inside with your table number. We don't live far and will be happy to return. (Note for photos: Partner added brown sauce before photos. Sausage link with pancakes were an extra add on for our dog).

Great little cafe (presumably a Longstore offshoot, as it’s attached). A small number of tables inside and more outside. Nice seaside blue and white vibe. We had tea, cappuccino and two sourdough toasties with roasted mushrooms, tomatoes, Emmental cheese and truffle mayo - with a refreshing but hot chilli and carrot salad in the side. £13 per head paid for very good quality. Food and drink was great and service fast and friendly. Other customers had young children and dog with them. Would recommend for sure.

We stopped by Short & Strong on what turned out to be the busiest day in Charlestown (thanks to the regatta, raft race, and general seaside buzz), so the area was loud and packed, but the café itself was a calm little corner. The Cornish brunch was pretty good, and the coffee (both hot and iced) was excellent. Staff were warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s attached to The Long Store, so expect a bit of shared atmosphere if it’s a busy day, but all in all, a tasty and pleasant visit. Nothing life-changing, but definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area.

We tried three different things! The “Reuben”—which has absolutely nothing to do with a Reuben sandwich—turned out way better than expected. The cheese and mushroom toast was the star of the meal for me, though I’d love to see it on some proper sourdough. The little fry-up was decent, nothing mind-blowing but solid. Drinks were spot-on with great options, and the chocolate chip cookie? Non-negotiable!!

Nice Origin speciality coffee. Flat white was of good strength. Coffee shop quickly gets busy. Good service and friendly staff. Plenty of seats indoors and outdoors. There’s a restaurant upstairs with plenty of seats too. WiFi and segregated toilets available.

Nice staff and nice vibe but please do not waste money on the matcha. £4.20 and I hate to say but genuinely really bad quality. Sugared down culinarily grafe despite being ‘specialty’ on the menu. I feel I’ve wasted my money.

Honestly I'm still fuming. We pre orderd at 6pm Friday. For 7.45... 9.15 it arrived cold. We had already eaten due to the fact we were starving. No apology nothing. I sent a message to cancel and they still rocked up 9.15pm. . If you can't make it then just be honest and say and we will make alternative arrangements. But to take our money and deliver it when it's convenient to you is not acceptable. It's all still in un opened

We visited Taste of India for dinner and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience due to the owner's unwelcoming attitude. Upon seating, we were told that we could only place our order if we all ordered one main course each, including children – and specifically from the non-vegetarian section. The owner directly instructed the staff not to take our order unless these conditions were met. When we mentioned that some of us were vegetarians and only wanted to order a couple of dishes to share (as is quite normal, especially when dining with kids), we were bluntly told to leave if we weren’t willing to comply

Wow, incredible food! Best Indian/Bengali food I’ve eaten 🤤 we took our meals away back to eat in our tent and it was just what we needed after a long day and in the stormy weather. The owner’s daughter was so sweet and polite with us on the phone and they even stayed open a little later so we could collect in time. Highly recommend. The chicken chaat starter was absolutely divineeee (recommended by the daughter) and the mains were chef’s kiss. And, all halal. MUST VISIT!

We really enjoyed our food here. It’s not at all pretentious, mainly serving a takeaway customer base, with only a handful of tables- like a curry version of a cafe. I was impressed with portion sizing of curries, and naan bread suitable to share. My daughter enjoyed her first eat out curry. We were staying locally on holiday, and wanted a no-nonsense curry house. This is what we got, we would definitely visit again. (4 star for atmosphere only because it’s not tarted up with elephants etc, it was fine for us). Thanks to the team there!

5 Mistakes made by Staff BUT THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! 1) We arrived on a Saturday early evening before another couple, our order was taken after them and our food arrived after the other couple - Not professional 2) When our order was taken the waiter made a comment twice saying ‘Baby Food’- No respect for food we chose. 3) A young girl argued with a another member of staff whilst clearing a table- Not professional 4) Whilst we were all eating in the restaurant, there were 4 young members of staff plus our waiter all talking and shouting loudly like a bunch of school kids, behind the counter with no respect for their customers trying to eat in peace right near them - Not professional 5) The whole experience felt chaotic, with no soft background music, no calm and no ambiance, which I would expect from in a reputable Indian Restaurant. Over the years this restaurant has now changed its serving staff from professional, respectful waiters to young staff. BUT THE FOOD IS GOOD! But the food was nicely cooked and tasted delicious, thank goodness the original Chef was still on board to cook our meal and we enjoyed the food very much, which I would still highly recommend. We now have a take away delivered to us, the Chicken Tikka Masala was lovely, tge Masala sauce is out of this world! Perfectly balanced flavours and sweet how I like it, so lovely! We asked for Crispy Papadoms and they were pectectly light and crispy as they should be. The meal was delivered on time too. No complaints about the food. I really do recommend the f, ood. The evening we went to the restaurant hopefully was a 'one off' with the staff problems we had that evening, the youngsters were helping out in the school holidays and showing off..

We had a great evening at The Rebellion Roast House in Charlestown, which offers a good, varied menu with something to suit most tastes. One small disappointment was that a mushroom-based dish wasn’t available, which we found a little hard to understand especially as mushrooms featured in other items on the menu. It seemed like something could have been put together, but aside from that, everything else was excellent. The drinks selection was strong, with good beers, wine, and cocktails all well presented and served with a smile. The highlight of the night was definitely the 10-hour aged brisket beef absolutely out of this world. Tender, rich, and full of flavour, it’s a must-try dish that truly lives up to the hype. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and the service was friendly and efficient. Just one tip: you really must book ahead, as this place gets busy and for good reason. All in all, a fantastic experience that we’d happily recommend.

Came here for a meal while staying in town and it was an absolute success. The food was incredible, moonshine delicious, staff were perfect and atmosphere warm and cosy. Thank you so much to all the staff and chefs. Now excuse me while I go into a food coma.

Amazing date night experience. Food was rich and satisfying and reasonably priced for the portion size. Adam on the bar gave us a great tour of the back bar shot selection, and was amazingly engaging with us in conversation at our prompt while still moving quickly to prepare drinks for others.

This was our 2nd visit but the first for the kids and we all throughly enjoyed it, the food was amazing and the staff were awesome!! Shame your a 5hr drive away from home else we would be there more often lol 😆... definitely recommended to anyone even vegetarians (my fiancee had the veggie option and said it was delicious 😋) ! See you again for sure !!

Never fails to impress. Had a beautifully cooked brisket of meat, it practically melted in the mouth. Vegetables were perfection as well. The staff were truly amazing, they made the place sparkle with their warmth and attentiveness. It's these little human touches that show they really care about the customer and are paying attention. The food was beyond delicious. Perfectly cooked and served quickly. I cannot thank everyone enough for such a lovely enjoyable evening.

The newly refurbished seatings area is well designed, which makes the whole restaurant look great 👍 The ordering area is well presented and organised. Love the new upgraded toilets as well! The recycling ♻️ area is very well presented with clear information and beautifully designed. The staff on duty were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The zinger burgers are freshly prepared and delicious 😋 ; I'm just disappointed that the hot wings are overcooked and dry.

I almost feel guilty leaving a one star review because the staff are excellent and the service is very good.... However I am dissatisfied with an aspect of the food... amongst my order, I ordered a chicken fillet burger meal... This was very disappointing... It was basically one mini fillet in a bun with mayo and lettuce... It was exactly the same as a mini fillet but just a bigger bun... Whatever happened to the lovely proper chicken fillet they used to put in these burgers?? My one little mini fillet lost in a normal size bun!.... I understand why they have put prices up and I support this, but I now think that the value for money has completely gone... One mini fillet lost in a normal size bun with mayo, lettuce and a few warm chips and a drink for £8.49 is poor value....

A large group of us ordered food together tonight with the bill totalling over £120. 2 of the meals that arrived were incorrect and 2 didnt arrive at all. When we rang to complain the shift captain told us he couldn't refund the meals or send any out for delivery and that we had to apply fir a refund in the website.... Absolutely shocking. We're over 30 quid out of pocket, 2 people didn't get their meals (apart from what others shared and 2 meals weren't eaten cause they were ordered withou mayo and arrive smothered in it. Won't be ordering anything again very disappointing

Shocking! Waited almost 40 minutes and even then most of the food wasnt even freshly cooked. Chips warm, and it wasnt massively busy and loads of peoples numbers who came after us were called up before. .Its a shame as this KFC is usually very quick. Different Manager seemed to be on who was clueless. Then we got moaned at they were closing in 5 minutes so anyone sat in the restaurant had to leave. The managers time keeping seemed on point when it came to going home! Shame the same enthusiasm couldnt be applied to her workplace. It wouldn't of been so bad if we hadn't got there almost an hour before they closed with the intention of sitting in, but due to the lengthy wait (which no staff apologised for or warned us about in the first place) We barely started our food then told we all had to leave.

Was told that St Austell kfc “does not do gravy” ? Two weeks ago when I came in I had a gravy with no issue. Just seems very odd and strange as many people love the gravy and it’s a classic menu item. The man who served us was a bit rude and didn’t ask anyone else about the gravy situation 🤷‍♀️

Ordered online , found via Google. Easy enough to order and collection time was spot on. Pleasant looking shop and staff helpful. Children's meals well priced and portion size good for young teens. Adult size large cod was a bit thin and more tail end. Price was on the cheaper side for fish and chips these days but quality obviously reflected in the lower price. Chips had a fair few green / eyes in them not too bad but not the best. Zero gluten free options advertised at time of visit.

We are on holiday and thought we would try haddock and chips for two. Very disappointed with the quality of fish, it was watery and not hot in the middle mushy in consistency. Chips were average at best.

6.5/10 No qualms with haddock at price point, £6.20, chips however for £2.80 as some reviews detail a mix of fresh and old refried, not what you want. Curry sauce nearly £2 underwealming flavour and volume. No rush to return

Amazing freshly cooked sandwiches and one of the best lattes I've ever had! If you're in Charlestown I highly reccomend you stop here for a quick lunch. The staff were friendly as well and over all there was a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Super Sarnies! Really friendly staff and cracking sandwiches, we had a pastrami with cheese and a Cornish brie with bacon, the bread was so fresh and the fillings were really tasty and generous and it was so cheap compared to pub price sarnies. 😃

Great place to stop, relax and have a bite to eat. Delicious coffee and the Crab sandwich was amazing, expertly made with just a small hint of lemon and mayo that doesn't take away the taste of the crab, served in crusty bread. Friendly staff, great service. We look forward to returning.

A great little gem. been here lots of times in the heart of Charlestown, lovey staff, great food highly recommend the crab sandwich and the coffee but never had anything that wasn't great. a little feedback for the owner really.... if I had to be super critical.. I would say a bit more outside weather protection like a sun sail the next time you are doing any improvements so you get more customers in more of the time but take nothing away this place is great:)

Spot the issue with this Bacon double cheeseburger. Well done, no bacon! Fries also cold. Not the first time and the reason why I seldom buy food from here any more. Just not worth the hassle of going back to complain.

Exceptionally quick compared to other McDonald's, and I've never had any issues with my orders. From placing the order on the app to being served, the time is consistently 120 seconds at most. Staff are friendly - I've always been greeted with a smile. The only issue I have, as with all McDonald's, is the lack of vegetarian options, and the inability to add normal cheese to the plant-based burger.

Got my order wrong twice. Went back and got the correct order, as I was given someone elses food, checked in the car before driving away, and again had the wrong item. After sorting it out, I returned back to our camp site 5 mins up the road, and food was lukewarm to eat, and fries were cold. I so I returned again and was told by someone else I should have said something at the window. I'm not impressed, and when I requested the manager, I was told there was no one about at that time.

Food cold. Table service server did not bring any stirrers, sugar or milk for our tea and coffee, and when we asked about it, he had a look of confusion like it was the first time he had ever been asked to do this. No dips for the nuggets as well despite ordering it in the McDonalds app. No serviettes. I had to go to counter just to get all these things and then they only give a paltry amount - 2 sugars and 2 serviettes. Even though we are a party of 4. One of the worst McDonalds we’ve been to.

Not really happy with the overall meal, parked up & waited about 15 minutes for the meal to arrive at the car to then go & drive home, after arriving home after a 5 minute drive, we realised that items that we’ve ordered & paid for, wasn’t in either of the bags, fries were stone cold & hard, and chicken nuggets was mildly warm… - not the first time that it’s happened and never wanted to leave a negative review as I work in hospitality myself but we didn’t order a complicated meal for them too be missed. Extremely disappointed overall.

A worker named sophie offered some water because it was very hot today to me and fixed a order that was wrong. She must get some sort of reward for this since it’s not that often you get offered this.

We had cod, haddock, chips, mushy peas and baked beans and we ate in the restaurant. The staff were nice and friendly. The fish was crispy and nice, and the chips were yummy, proper chippy chips. I would definitely recommend.

Basically got told off for ordering £90 worth of food 45 minutes before they shut….said it was late for such a big order and they were cleaning down? Seriously , rude. Food was not worth the hassle, tiny portions, waste of money , won’t be back and you clearly don’t want our business anyway.

What on earth is this?! This is the smallest battered fish I think I've ever had/seen. It is a complete joke. The chips were terrible, very dry and greasy. Absolutely awful. I cannot get over the size of the fish, I was on the verge of walking back to the shop, but I didn't. You will never see me use this place again. I always favoured this place over White River Fishbar. For a solid 10 years, I kept returning.Well, needless to say I will NOT be returning. Do better Walkers. Your reputation in comparison to White River Fishbar is ridiculous.

We booked this pub for Sunday roast for 4 with dog and we were not disappointed! Food was delicious, amazing service and atmosphere. Very good value! Would definitely recommend and will return next time in the area. Thank you for making our day special!

Absolutely brilliant pub. We moved down to Cornwall in March and everyone has made us feel so welcome. We have made loads of new friends and the landlord and landlady are absolutely wonderful people who we now call us our friends. They run a fantastic pub. The atmosphere is so friendly we absolutely love it and the people that drink in the pub.

Absolutely great pub that serves incredible food . Service is second to none with all the staff being very friendly and welcoming . They have a fun quiz on a Monday and regular live entertainment that they advertise online in advance . Highly recommended establishment !!

Popped into The Western Inn for the breakfast/brunch. I had the medium which was amazing. Fresh, hot, lovely produce! Best fry up I've had in yonks!

Went here for a traditional Sunday roast. The food was served on nice hot plates and was a real plate full. The meat was tender and well cooked and the veg was varied and also perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely experience.. well done ... Will definitely be back..

Great pub, amazing food and brilliant service. Thoroughly recommend the trio of sausages with lovely creamy mash. My husband loved his surf & turf burger and the chips were superb! We had a brilliant evening, really enjoyed the karaoke. Very friendly bar team they made us very welcome. Employee of the month should definitely be awarded to Kieran, especially as he doesn't even work there but had us in fits of laughter and entertained us whilst he served our food and drinks. I was very impressed with the basket of sanitary items in the ladies toilet for use should they be needed, very thoughtful & a wonderful idea.

The food is awful. Bang, bang chicken covered in brown sugar syrup and no peanut. Everything was tasteless. Used them before and were good but we won’t waste our money again.

Chips in a plastic tub so they was juat soggy & the crispy chilli beef tasted like sweet and sour crispy beef the sauce was incorrect quite dissapointed. Not hardly any egg in the egg fried rice.

Took over an hour to arrive, order not right when it arrives but kind of close enough so you just eat it. Didn't get the free prawn crackers that it said we would. Food was alright but not the best.

I used to order from here all the time and now it’s absolutely vile! undercooked frozen hard chips rock hard rubbery oily chicken and wrong drinks. Nuggets were white and under cooked rock hard. Never ever again will I order. I am so angry they would not refund me and I stupidly paid cash. Told me to re Order Monday to get 1 meal free what a joke! 😡

Tried here for the first time a few weeks ago and the food was amazing! Really good quality and huge portions! I ordered some ribs and I'm sure I had a full rack in there! Really tasty and would highly recommend. We did get duck in orange sauce instead of plum sauce in error but it was still really tasty anyway!

Never had any problems and have taken out from them for years! Going to again tonight :) Best value and great taste. Sometime you have to wait as the food is cooked from fresh and worth the wait!! OMG! 100/100 - super pizzas, they also specially catered for us as we don’t eat onion and garlic. The pizza taste fresh and authentic. We only came for a quick lunch bite but then came back for dinner too. Keep up guys. If you want to taste authentic pizzas then please visit. This would always be a go to place if I ever visit Cornwall again. ❤️❤️

Very good pizzas, in a nice contemporary and clean pizza venue. There were many pizza flavours I have never heard of and if I lived locally, I would definitely try them all out.

What a lovely place! And so refreshing to have a few vegan options including vegan hotdog and beef! I had the Cheese Dawg pizza (photo) which did not disappoint and they accommodated my daughter having just ham and cheese. My husband loved his too! Big portion on the chips so great for sharing! And the staff were really lovely too 😊 perfect birthday meal!

Our server was the perfect mix of polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming— the kind of service that quietly elevates a good meal into a memorable one. The restaurant itself is dressed in a cool industrial style—modern, relaxed, and easy on the eyes. The menu matches the vibe: a great lineup of pizzas with fun, quirky names, plus a drinks list that covers everything from cocktails to soft options, so no one’s left out. Now, onto the food—because let’s be real, that’s why you’re here. Portions are generous (read: don’t underestimate the sides). My wife’s “house salad” was a full-on event—fresh, colorful, and leagues ahead of the usual sad lettuce mix. I went for fries, which are often an afterthought in restaurants. Not here. These were crispy, fluffy, piping hot, and seasoned to perfection. But of course, the star of the show is the pizza. And let me tell you, I’ve eaten pizza in New York and across Italy, and Salty Bay holds its own—dare I say, even surpassing some of them. It's so rare to find a good gluten-free pizza base, but the one I had here was lovely! Tasted pretty much like a pizza base rather than cardboard, and had a lovely crisp texture without being powdery. I also had no cheese on my pizza and usually this is a pretty sad experience, but here they put enough of the other toppings on that it totally made up for no cheese, and the pizza was delicious! My partner had a "normal" pizza and his was fab too, so I'd definitely recommend it here anyway, but especially if you usually avoid pizza because dietary needs means they're usually just disappointing 😍

Delivery arrived bang on time. Food really good. Good sized portions. As we have not had a Chinese takeaway since moving to Cornwall (10 years) .

Such a shame, we always have great food from here. I understand it was busy, but I phoned 1hour 15 after I placed the order to see where our delivery was as it stated it would be between 40-60 minutes and was told it was on the way. 45 mins later still no food, so I phoned again to cancel, to be told again that it was on the way. I still cancelled the order.

Used this take away as our go to but not any more on latest visit the ribs just didn't taste right on previous visits they had been lovely but not this last visit they just didn't taste right at all, and unfortunately I won't be revisiting I will try somewhere else now, Shame!!!

The vegetable stir fry was horrible and very greasy, and my partners beef rice and prawn stir fry, were appalling. Definitely not recommend for anybody to try it. And the prices were high for the quality of the food

Ordered £60 worth of takeaway whilst visiting family, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. I have to say it is the worse Chinese I have ever had. The shredded beef tasted fishy the prawn balls were so dry. The rice was so dry and had no flavour and the fat on the duck was unbelievable compared to other chineses i have had. Both me and partner by the evening felt sick. I don't normally right reviews but this was so bad I felt I had to as its not fair paying top money for sub standard quality in my opinion.

The pizza was tiny like why would you even sell that it is the size of my thumb you needed a magnifying glass to see it because it was that small if I knew it was that small I wouldn’t of brought it and it is so expensive and the cheese bites are more like cheese nibbles this is absolutely outrageous and maybe think about giving us a bag

I dont like giving bad reviews, but this one i feel like I sadly have to. We arrived on holiday at approx 8pm, quite late for us and thought we'll have an easy dinner, before exploring local area the following day! We ordered 2x pizza and a portion of chips. The app said 33-37 minutes, brilliant im 15 minutes away. We turn up just under 20 minute later, food is sat there on shelf waiting for us, I had got there early so we'd get it hot when cooked, but its already sat there. Annoying as if id waited the full 35 mins, then id have been very displeased. Anyway took the food, drive to Asda carpark, which is less than a 3 minute drive down the road, only to find the pizzas are both Luke warm with one havinga single brown hair on it, chips are freezing cold at best. Tried to eat the pizza, ended up having to bun what cost us (in a deal) £25+, and buying a meal deal at Asda. Usually I would have returned to the store and said something, but after a 4 hour drive, I knew my paitients would have ment i would have been very uneasonable and annoyed, so decided to just bite the bullet and leave it. Would never come to this domino's again, if they cant tell the time to prepare an order, i dont trust there cooking abilities. excluding the hair as that in fairness, could happen anywhere, accidents do happen.

The delivery was timely and the driver was very friendly. However the pizzas were just bad. Mine had no sauce at all and I paid £1 to add mushrooms and it had about half a mushroom spread across the whole pizza.

Save your money folks. Wrong orders, cold food, burnt pizza, list goes on

Only 3 stars due to the poor woman working behind the till by herself, struggling to keep up with orders due to lack of staff. As she was doing our order, her manager walked in seeing her struggle and walked off upstairs. Seems like a great guy that should have the position. Other than that food was great.

Every time I order off of the app (the entire point of which is that you don't have to wait in the queue) they ignore the ticket until I arrive and ask for my food. Today I ordered early and arrived 20 minutes after the pick up time and they STILL hadn't started making it.

I ordered a Subway delivery through UberEats at 4:30pm and waited over 2 hours, but my order never arrived. During that time, the drivers kept changing on the app and none of them delivered. I tried calling Subway St Austell four times but no one answered the phone. In the end, I had to cancel my order and go to another takeaway that was far more reliable and delivered straight away with their own drivers. Very disappointed with this experience and won’t be using Subway again. Not sure if the fault lies with Subway or UberEats, but the lack of service and communication was unacceptable.

Ordered hot food, got cold food, that was at one time hot. This was due to extremely slow delivery. Said on app, waiting driver, so seems they just let the food to go cold. Rubbish food, rubbish delivery at a very expensive price. Think twice!!

Me and my partner went in to subway 13th September 25 @ 2 ish, to get a sandwhich each. After standing lin line for a while we noticed that the man behind the counter was clearly struggling, the guy looked like he had been pushed beyond his limits, was pale white in the face, dizzy and looked like he was about to fall down at any moment. The person who was with him in store barely took any notice to this and ignore the fact his fellow colleague was clearly struggling. Now, firstly, my concerns are why is someone who is clearly ill still dealing with food people put in their bodies. The colleague that was with him should have clearly told him to sit down and taken over as this said other "colleague" was only dealing with cookies anyway. Giving the guy a break long enough to get his shift covered. The fact that not only this other colleague ignore this, but the fact that both of them had not enough knowledge to have the ill person stop working with food its appauling. This is in no way the fault of the person that was ill but at the end of the day this should not have happened and should have been solved as soon as they noticed something was wrong. This is clearly breaching Food Safety and Hygiene, Employer Duty of Care, Failure to Follow Company Policy and a Public Health Risk giving subway or even the employee Legal Liability. I feel Food hygiene or safety regulations where not met here AT ALL due to Risk of contaminating food. I feel subway where not catering to Employment health & safety laws allowing an employer to work in unsafe working conditions. I will be reporting this to local environmental health authority or food safety regulator.

Ordered a meal deal, the hash browns came out cold and undercooked. The sandwich looked like it had better days and my footlong garlic slice was cold. Absolutely useless and wouldn’t recommend ever going there.

Put all my partners fillings in my bread put all my fillings in my partners bread then after taking my order and running out of cookies and making me pay he then realised their wasnt any and couldnt refund me because the management hasnt trained him properly! More so the sandwiches are rock hard with mininal salad or meat fillings in wont be going to subway again.

well were do I start came here for a meal today to start off with half the veg on my Sunday roast was raw and rock solid. my other halfs steak was just a slab of chewie fat. and lastly pictured bellow is a £6.79 portion of crispy prawns £1.75 per peice what a joke definitely will never eat here again £70 plus down the drain

Went to the Carclaze Pub with a friend and had such a lovely time! The staff were so friendly and helpful, really made us feel welcome. The food was so tasty – we had a starter, main and dessert and were absolutely stuffed by the end. Everything came out just right and we left feeling really happy and satisfied. Great experience all round, would definitely go back!

Came for breakfast with my family, service as soon as we entered was fantastic! Front of house staff were so polite and very accommodating as one of my children doesn’t like loud places. Breakfast was exceptional value for money, the cooked breakfast was fresh and was being rotated so nothing was stood going hard like a lot of places! Would definitely return 5*

Waited 20 mins to be served and even then I had to go and get a waiter. A further 40 mins and no food appeared so I cancelled my order as we had plans for the evening. Other people were arriving way after us and getting served. Very poor waiting staff who didn’t seemed to bothered. The place was pretty empty when we arrived so not exactly rushed off their feet.

We came for brother in laws birthday meal , waited nearly 30 minutes for drinks , our “passionfruit martini” was sour tasting and we ordered a couple and they all tasted different, our food came out before our drinks ever arrived had to ask a waitress where our drinks was we had no cutlery on our table had to ask for it , thank god the food was okay! Or this would of been terrible the service was no good and I wouldn’t recommend it’s been hit and miss at this local for awhile now but it’s starting to fall apart understaffed and no bar training offering drinks they can’t make and come out different every time ! If they don’t want to make it they tell you it’s off the menu

Had a super lunch from the £6 menu. We added drinks and a dessert and everything was excellent. We were served by Lisa and she was lovely and happy and made our lunchtime very enjoyable.

Best kebab in st Austell always go here but today I ordered the garlic bread and it was overcooked to the point where I couldn't eat it.

Undercooked pink donner meat, absolutely disgusting. Do not order and buy from here!! Used to be our favourite but they clearly dont care anymore and are quite happy to give people food that will make them ill.

Do not get box 3 deal very poor value for money i got this to share with my wife when I opend it was enough for 1 person there was a small pizza about 10 chips and a small handful of meat for £20.50 the was of good quality but not worth the price when I phoned up to ask if there was a mistake they argued with me over the phone very poor customer service

Ordered late on Sunday on Just Eat. Food arrived very quickly and the delivery driver was very friendly. Chicken Fried Rice was a bit bland, but the rest was delicious - would definitely order from here again.

Ordered riverside special with rice and got noodles delivered. Not the end of the world but not what I ordered I phoned up straight away to let them know it was wrong ( incase we got someone's order) but he said no no were closed. We said yes we get that but our order was wrong. No no were closed. Amd that was that. Won't be ordering again dur to many factors but this being the last one. Also, chips are lovely.. small bag but noodles not so great. Each to their own.

Place is okay at best, bit empty. The food however is hit or miss. Chips even though it is a Chinese were good quality and quantity. But the chow mein and egg fried rice was found to be bland and quite wet, but this just might have been ours so don't base your decision on it. I'd say give this place a try.

Absolute rip off. Nearly £9 for 4 1/2 prawns with slimy onions. Every thing we had was absolutely tasteless. We had to put salt on our meal for a little flavour. Singapore noodles with no flavour. Roast pork was so dry it was like it was roasted on high heat for 10 hours. Vile takeaway, will tell all I know of the experience here. How can you sell bbq sauce that has no flavour whatsoever. It's a joke really.

Huge cafe on the 2nd floor of the building housing the egg. Plenty of tables with high chair available. Huge vegan menu and everything was amazing. We ordered the tomato and cheese toastie and also the toastie with the marmalade and caramelised onions. We also ordered the eden salad which was really huge and more than enough for 4 people. The nachos were good too. From the kids menu we ordered the tomato pasta, the portions were quite big here too. Organic, good presentation and tasted good too. Good for a refill as there’s lots of walking involved.

Nice coffee but a long wait to queue - but Eden project is a busy place! Good to see the drink options were kept healthy - no cola in sight.

Mid June 2021with (to be fair) some COVID-19 restrictions in place. Very poor selection of coffee shop cakes etc, and of those on offer several were out of stock or dry and poor quality to taste. Eventually managed to also buy an underwhelming sausage roll as nothing else savory was available in this building. Eden appeared to have a limited selection of food elsewhere at high prices. Such a shame as my memory of the catering several years earlier was positive. Many small and independent coffee houses have managed to do so much better coming out of lockdown, so this is a particularly poor effort from such a prestigious and financially stable (?) attraction. The G7 were here last week and I suspect more effort was made for them! Bring a packed lunch. Coffee was good but the service was slow.

Lovely café, nice atmosphere, can sometimes be busy but it's a busy place at times! Not bad price wise for coffee, latte's, cappuccino etc and I don't find them too strong which is nice too, and the coconut and chocolate flapjack is loverly! The cookies are nice too! Friendly and helpful staff, would and could recommend! 😀

Me and my mum booked a wine tasting with Knightor at 2 Beards At The View which was a fantastic way to spend a Thursday evening! The hosting by Chris and Lauren, and atmosphere were top 👌🏼 It's a beautiful spot with decking out front, complete with St Austell Bay sea views, and cosy huts in the olive garden. We'll be back for sure to sample the diverse cocktail menu and the tempting food on offer. This place is a gem! They really know their stuff, and are both always on hand to impart all the foodie and drink wisdom 🍸🍴

We definitely needed this in the area! Really relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful view of the bay. The cocktails are incredible and food is very well put together. Service is great and with a lovely smile too! Well done Chris and Lauren 🫶🏼

This place is an undiscovered gem. Owned and run by a talented passionate couple. The cocktails are on a par with any I have had anywhere and at a fraction of the price. Locally sourced ingredients are a huge part of the food and drink here. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough.

Best place in the area to get a pizza delivered. Delicious pizza with lots of cheese and nice quality toppings. Drivers are always friendly too. I've used them several times and I highly recommend.

Called in for late lunch on Tuesday 12/08 after some sightseeing. Was warmly greeted as we arrived and offered table service. The Inn is in a beautiful setting with lovely views and I really enjoyed the atmosphere sitting outside in the sunshine. Our drink and food orders were taken and then delivered quickly and we really enjoyed the quality food. This was my first visit here , I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone. I can't recommend this pub highly enough. We had a warm welcome and the pub had a lovely feeling about it. Plenty of seating although I would definitely recommend booking as it gets very busy. There's an amazing choice on the menu, especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. Some really interesting dishes. I had Butternut Squash and Lenti Dhal which was delicious and a massive portion. Service was so quick and the food was really well cooked. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to find.

A truly fantastic week staying in their pod named Barry, which is immaculate. We have spent time at the Polgooth Inn on numerous occasions for both drinks and food. The staff are so friendly and accomodating and extremely dog friendly. The food is outstanding and we highly recommend the dog food menu for your furry friends. 5 stars for both the Pod and pub, what a hidden 💎. We will be back.

Recently changed hands but the Polgooth Inn still retains its charm and character. Lovely countryside views from the beer garden at the front of the pub. Had the fish and chips which was delicious, the batter was incredibly light and crisp, the best pub fish and chips I've had for a very long time. Staff were polite and service was quick and of course, the Tribute IPA was tasty. Highly recommend.

Very nice staff, amazing food, great atmosphere. One of the best pizzas I've ever had eating out. Food and drinks are a little pricey but feels worth it for the quality and service, and we felt justified in leaving a tip. Definitely would go again.

Came for Sunday lunch having had many lovely meals here before. Service was incredibly slow. We each had a Sunday roast and the portions were very small for the price - one slice of beef per person. No green vegetables either. No member of staff checked on our meal, or asked how the food was when collecting our plates by which time it was too late anyway. It’s a shame as we have had plenty of lovely times here before but today has put us off returning.

Had Sunday lunch here. Restaurant was nice, good atmosphere. Food was tasty however temperature of the food was only warm. Had roast beef. For dessert the crumble tart was again tasty but the custard was lukewarm at best. Service was slow, food took ages to come out the kitchen despite it being quiet. Plenty of car parking however the car park surface was cobbled which means less abled people would have a lot of trouble walking safely on it.

We had our first meal at the Rushleigh Arms in Charlestown to meet up with friends, and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, everything was excellent the food was absolutely outstanding, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The wine selection was superb, with something to complement every dish. The choice of mains was great, offering a well-balanced mix of classic favourites and more refined options. We were also very happy with the spot where we were seated comfortable, relaxed, and perfect for catching up with friends. The only slight negative was that it’s a little on the higher end cost-wise, but the quality and experience made it well worth it. All in all, a fantastic first visit, and we’ll definitely be returning

Cannot fault the service, prices and range. Staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The pub inside was lovely, cosy and a lot of thought and detail to it. Outside.. wow! We were there on a sunny day and it was beautiful, the view is fantastic with plenty of outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay while walking the South West Coast Path. Our room was spacious, clean and as a walker the hot water in the shower was fantastic. We had a great dinner and the service from Helen was exceptional.

came in here for a meal last night, the food was good (the steak was a bit chewy), the atmosphere in the pub was great, and the location where we were seated in was nice. We were served by Ellie, and she was very nice. Toilets were clean as well.

A wonderful stay at The kingwood. The room is large which are beautifully furnished. The bed and pillows are very comfy and i slept so well. I had my two dogs with me who were very happy too. My partner and i ate dinner in the restaurant which was so delicious. The menu was varied with some lovely choices, we went for the steak for two and it was very testy and certainly did not disappoint and we had steak left over for the dogs, who were very happy too. We finished off with treats for two and this was just perfect for a desert after a filling meal. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best Full English I’ve ever had so lovely and beautifully presented. We will definitely return we loved our stay at The Kingswood.

Stayed with friends on a Travel Zoo deal based on reviews on line and were not disappointed. Rooms large and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, large bed, desk, chairs, drawers plus a wardrobe plus hanging space. Great shower and anti mist mirror and lovely decoration everywhere. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and a special well deserved mention for Amanda the Restaurant Manager who seemed to wear many hats and must be a very valued employee. Food was excellent and plentiful with lots of choices and well presented and delicious. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the area and the bonus was a sunny day. We will return.

We stayed for three nights and so had two dinners/three breakfasts here. On arrival I felt a little concerned at the main road location, but rooms were very quiet, well designed and furnished and very comfortable indeed. Then to the restaurant - what a treat! Food was excellent at every meal and, while at times staff were clearly busy, all service was extremely friendly and efficient! A really attractive venue with a comfortable atmosphere too. Even if not staying at the Kingswood I would be very happy to come back to eat there again!!

My wife and I wanted a short break away to relax before an impending operation. My wife booked The Kingswood and we could not have been happier with the choice. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, well equipped and spacious with all the modern touches. Its the first time that my wife has gone into a hotel room and not wanted to change. She described the room as 'Wow!' Tamsin welcomed us to our stay and after unpacking we went into the bar and was then served with the most beautiful and mouthwatering cream tea which set the standard for the rest of the stay. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and the food was incredible, no wonder the restaurant was full. Breakfast was exceptional quality and plenty to choose from. Nothing was too much trouble and the portions were extremely generous both for dinner and breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful and everyone had a smile on their faces even though they were rushing around due to being so busy. The Kingswood deserve to be commended for their ethos of great value for money, brilliant customer service and warm friendliness. We cannot wait to book another stay in 2024.

My husband and I spent a couple of nights at the Kingswood on a travelzoo deal. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The bedroom was large, clean and very well equipped. The bed was huge, very comfortable and the pillows were lovely and soft. The room was very quiet, no sounds from neighbours. The food was wonderful, locally sourced and so tasty. Can't fault anything we ate for breakfast or dinner. Would highly recommend the Kingswood and would be very happy to stay there if in the area again.

Stayed for two nights bed & breakfast, we also had evening meals both nights. The accommodation is first class, modern, spacious, spotlessly clean rooms. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. both the breakfast and evening meals were delicious, plenty of choice and good sized portions. Will definitely visit again.

Wow, what a beautiful place. The restaurant and rooms are amazing. Room was very bright, large and comfortable. The bed and facilities were spot on. Even a dog bed, bowl and treats for our well travelled dog. Everything you could need was in the room. Extremely well thought out. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant. Both of us having a full English breakfast. We were not disappointed. Good value for money. The young lad that booked us in was very professional although they were extremely busy. He took the time to show us to our room and was even there in the morning to serve breakfast. Very pleased with our time there. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others. We enjoyed a fantastic meal in the restaurant. We were served by Rowena a lovely lady, however all the staff were very pleasant. The food was superb and the portions were substantial. My wife had a vegetarian option which was very nice (I had to try it) and the dessert were heavenly. We will be back.

We stopped in at the Pier House Hotel in Charlestown for a quick beer and were really impressed by the setting and atmosphere. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished following a fire several years ago and now boasts a fresh, inviting look while still retaining its charm. It sits in a stunning location, with views over the historic harbour that are hard to beat. There’s a wonderful selection of beers on offer, including local ales and popular favorites perfect for enjoying while taking in the scenery. The bar area is spacious, well laid out, and had plenty of seating even during a busy afternoon. We didn’t dine on this visit, but the dining room looked excellent, with a stylish setup and a great view from many of the tables. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe was relaxed yet polished. Whether you’re stopping for a drink or planning a full meal, the Pier House is a lovely spot to unwind by the water. We’ll definitely be returning next time for food!

We popped into the pub for late lunch. Small menu but OMG it was delicious ! The fish and chips was a good size and my mother said the batter was lovely. I had the pork which was mouthwatering. Definitely will be a place we revisit when next in the area. Very dog friendly, had a dog station where you could collect a bottle of water, bowl and some treats.

Absolutely stunning meal, we all loved our food, service was amazing, our lil pooch got treats too! Absolutely recommend it, and will definitely return on our next visit to Cornwall! Thank you very much! Xx

Perfect location at the end of the harbour, with outside seating overlooking the bay. We ate outside and had a delicious burger followed by a sticky toffee pudding which was perfect. Served by friendly efficient staff both inside and out. Highly recommended.

I called in yesterday just to confirm my 2 nights booking for my fiancé's birthday trip. Spoke to Issey and just updated a few things as they had a new system installed. She was lovely and very nice to talk too. And was very helpful and gave me some tips for a surprise for my stay. See you all in November .

Hard to miss in the beautiful town of Charlestown! Stylish and charming interiors with a young vibrant crew who were all attentive and friendly. Compliments to our server Katie who was also very courteous and patient. She steered me towards the Seafood Polenta dish which did not disappoint! She was also very knowledgeable about the menu helping out everyone in our group. Hats off to the chefs, everything was excellent, superbly flavoured and balanced. Great portions too! Fresh vegetables and tempting desserts! Do scuttle to the Longstore if you're in the area and you'll be leaving full and satisfied!

We always eat at the Longstore when we stay in nearby St Austell. Marvellous food, service and atmosphere. My son doesn’t eat red meat or fish any more, so his choice was somewhat limited but he said his portabello mushroom and mac n cheese pattie was the best burger (meat or veggie) he’s ever had. My husband had the cheeseburger and said it was fab. I had the shredded beef starter with chips and loved it. Great drinks, beer, wine and cocktail menu with some good low alcohol options Highly recommend the Longstore - we’ll definitely visit again. Make sure you pay for parking in the car park next door, even in an evening. We’ve been fined there before when we thought we might get away with it :(

Went today with my children for a Roast lunch!! I cannot recommend this enough!! I’ve eaten in the most beautiful restaurants all over but this was by far something else!!!I am welsh through and through and were known for loving gravy ……I did not add a drop of the extra gravy I asked for!!! There was a stunning variation of the most beautiful vegetables, each offering their own unreal flavours!!! The cauliflower cheese was by far the best I’ve ever tried!!! The lamb, homemade stuffing , roast potatoes were just something else!!!! We were looked after by the lovely staff and served with stunning wine and cocktails 🥰This was a celebration for myself, end of studies, and qualifying as a therapist …..there is nowhere else I would have picked! Thank you for the quality and wonderful atmosphere you offered today . Look forward to seeing you all again soon 🙏❤️

We visited for Sunday lunch, it was quite busy but we just managed to book a table. The service was great and the staff were polite and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, well presented and good portion sizes. Would definitely recommend and would visit again if we're in the area.

Wow! An amazing evening meal. Even though this place is a steak and seafood restaurant we decided to try it out (as two vegans and two vegetarians) and we are very glad we did! The food we had was amazing, however we were more impressed with the options and the uniqueness of the food. It is very apparent that vegan and veggie food was not a back thought and it was something that was presented beautifully with tase that matched. The service was very quick and the staff were lovely and attentive. We will definitely be back and recommending to everyone! Thank you.

Perfect Venue for Our 80th Birthday We booked The Longstore at Charlestown for a special family Sunday lunch to celebrate our loved one's 80th birthday, and what a wonderful choice it turned out to be! Our party of 15 had pre-ordered our meals (though we were actually 16 on the day), and the experience couldn't have been better. The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant – warm, welcoming, and perfect for a milestone celebration. The food was simply delicious. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the portions were generous – there was plenty for everyone. We couldn't fault a single thing that came out of the kitchen Me and the other half had the sharing platter it was stunning . The staff were not only friendly and attentive but also went the extra mile with a lovely touch – complimentary fizz for our birthday girl . The Longstore I would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion or celebration. We'll definitely be returning

We went for lunch at The Rashleigh Arms at Polkerris on Thursday 22/5/2025. 4 Adults and 3 dogs, the atmosphere as soon as we walked in was just perfect, everyone was so friendly and the owner came straight to us and welcomed the dogs with a treat. We all ordered a main meal and drinks, the service even though it was busy was quick and very attentive. Everyone made us feel so welcome, we have been there in the past with previous owners, I have to say to all of you keep up the excellent Customer Service, nothing was too much trouble. We had booked a table and when we arrived we were moved to a window seat which was perfect just looking at the sea. We live in Dorset but we will be back to see you all next year. Thank you

Really nicely situated pub on the beach front in the village of Polkerris. A welcomed stop after our walk down the South West Coast path from Polruan. We found a lovely spot to have a quick refreshment. They had a great choice of local ales and local larger. We also returned later in the day for fish and chips, which was well worth the price paid. £18.50 may seem a tad pricey, but it was definitely worth it. Lovely fresh Haddock in homemade beer batter using local cornish lager 😋 There are also a great amount of seats to choose from, either inside near the bar or in one of the many rooms. Or if it's nice outside, there is a large array of seats to choose both covered and not. I would highly recommend this pub. 10/10

Lovely little gem of a pub, Tucked away in the tiny cove of Polkerris. Lovely fresh food at a great price & amazing views out to sea . Staff were very friendly & welcoming. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area 👍

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great local drinks. A real gem of a pub. Stopped for lunch whilst on our walk, family of 4 with a 11 and 9 year old. Food was reasonably priced and tasted fantastic!

I stopped off here for a couple of lunchtime pints whilst walking a section of the coastal footpath. I didn't have any food. The setting is stunning, as you can see from the photo. There was a good selection of cask ales plus a few interesting craft beers on keg.

Good views. Friendly service. Sociable environment and smashing decor indoors. I had the cheesecake for £8 but it was average. The iced coffee was great!

A lovely little pub on the beach at polkerris, lovely indoor and outdoor seating. We had mussels and a side of chips, beer and gin and tonic, all of which were as good as you could wish for. Staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean and well presented.

It a lovely restaurant and bar on the beach. Everything tastes good and the staff is very nice.

When we arrived the friendly waitress managed to squeeze us in under the TV by the bar. We placed our order and waited. A young lad made our tea which he poured the water into our 2 teapots then let it stew for several minutes before bringing it over to us. I don’t mind strong Tea but my wife cannot drink it if it’s stewed as this was. I asked for some sweeteners and was given 2. Tough luck if you wanted more. Then we watched in amazement as the food pass filled up with orders ready to go out. The Kitchen staff were frantically ringing the bell to get service. 4 members of staff were stood behind the bar talking and laughing. They were serving drinks but all the food was going cold and not a single member of the front of house team seemed interested or bothered. Then our food arrived and yes you guessed it, it was stone cold. I ate mine as I was extremely hungry but my wife sent hers back. The kitchen reheated it and put it on the pass ringing the bell, then they rang the bell again and eventually the food was brought out, cold again. My wife ate it as she was also very hungry. We informed our friendly waitress who apologised and said she’d tell the manager, which she did do, the manager looked over at us and then just carried on with his day. Not a care in the world. It’s a lovely little place severely lacking in attention to detail and any leadership at all. Obviously that was just a snap shot of the place as we didn’t return (we were camping on site for a week). That was our experience and we definitely would not go back, definitely not recommended.

The rum punch is honestly the best cocktail I’ve ever had! Lowri went above and beyond to help me with a birthday present, which was so kind. The sea view and vibes are second to none, and all the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Can’t recommend enough

Fantastic food offered at the hub box, we had food over three days whilst on site at Pentewan Sands holiday park. It’s a shame there isn’t one near Norfolk, was served by two friendly staff And a really talented chef guy. Never had onion rings like these at the hub box every mouthful was delicious the smashed patty burgers were perfect the flavours all complimented each other. If you are staying here, local or just passing by do stop off! We are back off to Norfolk and I can already see myself dreaming of the burgers and onion rings whilst I’m out in the road working away once again. Top work guys!!

Visited on a busy day.... large dining area with lots of tables under shelter. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. Staff had obviously been busy as many tables were not cleared. The previous diner had even left their water flask on my table, so I handed it in. I had what was misleadingly called a Big Plate for £11 consisting of Roasted Courgette Panzanella Salad. It was not a generous portion at all and had a lot of croutons on. I was underwhelmed when it arrived and was left wishing I had ordered something else. It was meant to have heritage tomato, onion, basil, croutons and lemon and dill yoghurt. It was void of anything resembling an onion, so back I went to the counter. The young bloke just looked blank. It was sloppy service, almost like couldn't be bothered attitude. Quite some time later a waitress brought a plate of red onions for me to add. It did not fill me up as a meal and was overpriced for what was in the small bowl. Wouldn't choose to eat here again, nahh. If you're charging £11 for a small salad plate with missing ingredients does not make for repeat custom.

Sorry to rate as just OK as food really great, but service crap, partner had his lunch delivered, ate, drank his coffee & sat there even before pizza delivered. Really awkward trying to rush eating whilst he sat staring at me need to sort this out. Wasn't the only table this happened with - make sure you order same items!

Nice simple layout, good use of natural light. We both had Sunday roast and thought it was very nice and the Vegas sure taste fresh as it was from its own vegetable garden. Decent priced. Coffee and teas were good. If you’re lucky, you would be getting local bee visitors who would like to dine with you.

Avoid at all costs on a cold and wet day - you might as well eat standing outside in the carpark as the restaurant is damp and cold. Food was passable, nothing special at very inflated prices. Patience is required as the service is very slow and staff disinterested.

Delicious ice latte, vegetable starter was like main. So much and so filling. My partners ceaser salads was fine. Very bright, light, earthy, clean place.

Had lunch at the Heligan kitchen today. Thought it was very underwhelming and overpriced. Portions were on the small side and definitely not worth £11. For this price I’d expect the Dahl to come with rice or some sort of bread. We had to wait around 40 mins which the server apologised for, stating they had to cook a fresh batch. The Dahl itself was fairly tasty but there just wasn’t enough of it and the battered cauliflower/pakora on top was unfortunately undercooked, even after having to wait. My partner’s dad’s mac n cheese was also a small portion but at least his was served with bread! Will be bringing a pack lunch next time.

Delicious food and nice desserts! Worth coming here just for lunch on its own! It was not cheap (salad on its own ~11£) but it’s very full filling!

We visited for a family members birthday last night. I found we didn’t get a warm welcome everything seemed to be a bit rushed with ordering food etc. The starter was good so it looked promising for the main but how wrong was I. I ordered the king prawns with cashew nuts which had absolutely no flavour, the sauce was quite clumpy. Myself and a member of my family didn’t feel well during the night have felt quite sick today also. The duck didn’t come out how we thought it would and didn’t look very appetising at all so I didn’t touch it. Other members of the party who tried it didn’t rate the duck at all. I understand about not wanting to waste food but we felt like we had to eat all of it as the man serving wasn’t very approachable and basically told us if we didn’t eat the majority of it he’d refuse to serve us. The restaurant didn’t seem to have any atmosphere, I visited a few years back and I didn’t get the same experience as I got last night so unfortunately we will not be returning again.

Got a takeaway, the food was very average. The chow mein was dry with no flavour and barely any sauce. However, prices were good and the portions were quite big.

We were extremely impressed with our experience this evening. Sit down buffet for 3 people. Order your food and its bought to you and then order more when ready, no heat lamps or sloppy serve yourself areas. The young waitor there was brilliant, made our experience great. Food quality was very impressive, quality of meat was great, veggie options were nice and you dont get much food waste due to sensible portion sizes and ordering only what you can eat.

If you are looking for a normal buffet restaurant, this is not the place. They will take orders from a menu and will bring the food. Some items are ok, but most dishes are coated in sugary sauces that will make you feel full. The children above 9 are charged at full price, where children under 14 or 15 eats barely anything 🤔. Parking is purely your luck. I think it is not value for money when you are paying £24 per head

Welcoming & friendly staff, hadn't booked but had a table for two, all you could eat buffet, as in order from menu as much as you can eat. Freshly prepared & good food. Prices for food ok but drinks pricey. Ok atmosphere. Recommended

The food was bland and tasteless, the chicken was rubbery, the chow mein was dry and we all was ill the next day. Avoid unless you like all of the above.

Went for the all you can eat menu, very very good!!! The best Chinese we have had in a long time. Dishes came out super fast, every dish really good and tasty, great service and constantly checking on us and taking orders very quickly. Very impressed and cider for £4.80! Totally worth it and will be going again!!

Surprised at the rating here as our food was very disappointing, the pizza had a very soggy bottom and tasted like a supermarket cheese and tomato pizza with added cheese. The po boy wrap was reasonable but tasteless. Overall pretty disappointing. It is however nice inside and has a good feel to it.

The first time here . Delicious coffee, wonderful variety of home made cakes. Very pleasant service. Very tasteful interior, lovely lighting. Great discovery!

Great little bistro bacon and sausage sandwich was great , milkshake was good wife liked the small saucer for her t bag decore was great and the cakes looked amazing

We stopped off in St Austell for food before heading further south. Found Smorgers and it was amazing. Honestly the nicest food we've had in a long time. I had the chicken schnitzel and my partner had ham, eggs and chips. The salad that came with the chicken schnitzel was incredible. Never had a salad that had had so much thought put into it. Very yummy and very colourful. The value for money was fantastic too. Thank you very much!

Popping in from out of town as it got recommend to me by a local. Service was pleasant and friendly. My only gripe is I got 1 ration of bacon. I like bacon so 1 is just not enough. Anyway to sum it up I loved it. Cheers guys.

I phoned ahead prior to visiting to check for dietary requirements, the lady who answered the phone was really friendly and helpful and made me feel like I'd be welcome. On arrival the young man who took our order was equally as friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious and had great options available. I don't go to St Austell really and only went this time to meet friends but would definitely love to go back next time I visit. Smorgers is such a lovely place, so clean, fresh and welcoming. If you're in the area definitely pop in, you won't be disappointed
