The Barn in Gemmayze is a cozy spot known for its bold and smooth espresso and artisanal open-face toasts featuring a variety of unique toppings like almond zaatar cheese, farmhouse feta with rose petals, and stone-ground almond butter with sun-dried figs. This organic food restaurant offers a menu that includes both vegan and non-vegan options, making it a great choice for those seeking delicious and fresh meals.
We had brunch at the Barn with a group of friends. The platters are generous and the proposed mixes are tasty. You feel like ordering all the menu. The place is kids friendly and the staff is really welcoming and efficient.
Helena A — Google review
Disappointing Experience We were initially drawn to The Barn for its charming vibe in the heart of Gemayzeh Street. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment due to several issues. Cleanliness Concerns: We were given cups for water that had a strong, unpleasant odor. Although the staff replaced them with less smelly cups after we brought it to their attention, it raised concerns about the restaurant's attention to cleanliness. Food Quality 1. Chicken Caesar sour dough: My dish was enjoyable, with a good balance of flavors. 2. Steak meal: Unfortunately, my husband's steak meal was a different story. He ate nothing else that day and subsequently suffered from food poisoning, spending the evening and night feeling nauseous and vomiting. Given the unfortunate experience with food poisoning, we would strongly advise against eating steak at The Barn. The cleanliness concerns and severe food poisoning issue overshadowed the restaurant's pleasant atmosphere. We will not be returning to The Barn and would caution others to be mindful of these issues.

One of the best healthy restaurants I have tried in Beirut. The menu is varied, the prices are reasonable, and the place has a cheerful atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife and I just visited The Barn while we’re here from the States, and we absolutely loved it! The food was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with that perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. You can tell the team here really cares about every detail, from the service to the ambiance. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Lebanon. Highly recommended.

Pregnant woman approved. Best breakfast in years! Superb service. Loved the whole experience

This place is my go-to spot in Gemmayzeh. The staff is consistently friendly and super helpful, making me feel right at home. The food is healthy and well-made, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and comfortable. It’s a great place to stop every time I’m in the city.

Always a great Go-to place for breakfast or brunch. The service is great and food is on point. Minor downside: glasses were smudged and tables weren’t very clean.
Nathalie R — Google review
My favorite place in beirut for breakfast brunch and dinner, fresh ingredients always. Friendliest and most knowledgeable staff, especially Issa gave us a walk through for a very specific thing with such meticulous care. Very careful regarding allergies or food intolerances. Saturday morning means the barn.

Cantina Sociale is a versatile establishment that combines the concepts of a self-service wine shop, bar, and cafe. Embracing the Italian tradition of a cantina sociale, it offers an inviting space for guests to enjoy al fresco dining on a tree-shaded terrace or cozy interior seating. The menu features simple yet flavorful dishes such as yogurt and granola bowls, grilled halloumi, shakshouka, spinach mushroom quiche, and French toast for dessert.
I fell inlove with the place so chill and cosy . The staff are super friendly you feel like home and thats not the only reason why you want to visit the place iver and over again 😍 the food is delicious . Tried their latte , loved their salted brownie cookie 😍 , tried also their avocado toast and scrambled eggs (huge portion) super super good , and recently i tried their chicken kale salad i loved their build in salad concept also huge portion so i shared super yummy . Will deff try the place and consider it my go to when i want a chill place and has amazing food with very very reasonable prices . Keep up the amazing work

One of my favorite go to Cafe’s, I usually go for their Spanish latte and they have one of the best Pain Perdu with different sweet sauce options ranging from Caramel to maple syrup to chocolate. It is one of the pet friendly cafes with the most adorable and well behaved attitude, lovely staff and lively atmosphere
Karim — Google review
Those who like Cantina Sociale like it a lot, and its easy to see why. Laid back, selection of wines and a nice space. The food isnt all that special, probably best to grab a share plate of cheese and enjoy the wine.
Catadores L — Google review
I visited Cantina Sociale around late morning, curious to see what it was like. Coming from Mexico, I associate a cantina with tapas-style food small plates to share while enjoying a lively atmosphere. The vibe here is definitely welcoming: several tables with people chatting or working, and I chose to sit at the bar. The person who attended me was genuine and kind, and later a lady (possibly a supervisor) also stepped in with great hospitality, making sure everything was smooth. Their attentiveness left a very positive impression. Where my experience differed from my expectations was with the menu. I had imagined a tapas or cantina-style selection, but the food options were quite different a mix of various dishes, not really the small-plate sharing concept I expected. The staff kindly explained that the menu has evolved over time, which helped me understand the change. Overall, this is a nice spot with a friendly atmosphere, professional service, and good energy. Just keep in mind it’s not a tapas cantina in the traditional sense.
Tahsine R — Google review
This place is perfect for work and studies, the atmosphere makes you want to focus, and in this situation, they have electricity when you don’t at your office. The food is good but the menu could have more options. It’s a self service place but the guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Loved the banana cake 👍🏽
Mike A — Google review
Cantina is one of the coziest places you can go to! Cute, friendly staff, delicious food, and top-quality wine. And the best part? They offer free popcorn! Highly recommended!
Patrick E — Google review
Best coffee shop in town, no questions asked. A good variety of dishes that ranges from Avocado Toast with Eggs to the aptly named Rainbow Bowl. The main asset of this place, the coffee itself is very good. The foamed milk, the syrups…everything tastes pristine. Lastly I don’t want to overlook just how friendly the staff has been, very talkative & welcoming. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the good food & friendly atmosphere makes it my go to place for hang outs, meetings, and coffee!

Charming little refuge from the hustle and bustle of Sassine and unlike anywhere else I've been in Lebanon... it's a good hangout any time of day and love the way it morphs from a healthy breakfast joint to a classy wine bar by night. Can't wait to play with the pay as you go wine machines. highly recommended

Paul Bakery, a renowned French bakery chain, has carved out a special place in Lebanon's culinary scene. Known for its delectable array of freshly baked goods, Paul offers an impressive selection of artisanal breads like classic baguettes and unique varieties such as olive and walnut bread. This charming bakery is a must-visit for anyone eager to indulge in traditional baking at its finest.
Great place with different indoor and outdoor dining options. Nice ambiance bistro type atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but the food made up for it
May P — Google review
Everything about this place is so good — the ambience, the food, and the service. The food portions are generous and satisfying. The tiramisu looks amazing, though the taste doesn’t quite match its appearance, but it’s still not bad overall
Hala K — Google review
Really enjoyed coming here this morning! Found it very relaxing and the food was great! So far I have enjoyed the consistency of their food in the several branches that I visited so far! Enjoyed having some coffee, a cheese croissant and also some sweet pastries! Thank you!
Karim M — Google review
Paul is one of my favorite places to have a nice coffee. I was in a hurry and hungry. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with a cappuccino. They were tasty.
Nathalie Y — Google review
If you’re wandering through the charming streets of Gemmayzeh and craving a sweet pause, Paul is a cozy, reliable spot that blends French flair with a Beirut vibe. I stopped by for a quiet afternoon treat and tried their pain perdu, which came beautifully presented with a generous drizzle of caramel. Texture-wise, it was soft and warm on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Sweet, but not overly so. The portion was satisfying, perfect for sharing or indulging solo with a coffee. I would have loved a touch more richness in the custard soak — hence the 4/5 — but overall, a very solid dessert and a lovely experience. Service was friendly and professional, and the ambiance had that classic Paul elegance. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, it’s a nice little stop for a refined sugar fix. 📍 Worth a visit if you’re in the area — especially if you like your French toast with a Parisian twist.
Radwan C — Google review
Paul Café in Gemmayze is such a charming spot. The croissants are always fresh, the coffee is rich and smooth, and the staff make you feel genuinely welcome. Whether you’re meeting friends or just need a quiet moment, it’s the perfect place to unwind in the heart of Beirut.
Roy C — Google review
I really enjoy coming to Paul Beirut. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a classic French touch that feels authentic. The staff are generally friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a nice variety of pastries, sandwiches and drinks. The food is fresh and tasty — especially the croissants and salads — and the presentation is always appealing. Prices are on the higher side, but still reasonable for the quality. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that service can sometimes be a bit slow during peak hours, and a few items on the menu could be more consistent in taste. Otherwise, it’s a lovely spot for breakfast, brunch or a coffee break.
Mony S — Google review
Located in the heart of Beirut, Paul is a beautiful place to have a cozy meal with a friend or partner. Prices are a little bit high and portions a little bit small. But this is reasonable due to the location and the excellent professionalism of the staff. The food is delicious and very well presented. You have to park a little bit far as the area is very busy there.

Bartartine at Zaitouna Bay offers a fantastic dining experience with top-notch service and incredibly friendly staff. The pastries are delicious, featuring unique flavors and high-quality ingredients. The location boasts beautiful views of the bay, making it a great spot for breakfast or lunch outside. While the menu offers generous portions and a variety of options, some find it becoming a bit pricey. Despite occasional hiccups in service, the staff is generally friendly and accommodating, ensuring an enjoyable visit overall.
Had breakfast at BarTartine in Zeitouna Bay, and it was a fantastic experience! ☀️🍽️ The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was just perfect—enjoying a meal by the yachts with a nice morning breeze made it even better. The food quality and presentation were top-notch. Definitely a spot worth visiting for a relaxing breakfast! 👌✨

Whatever you order you will enjoy, this place is ideal. Try the chocolate almond croissant, you may need to reserve as it sold out early in the morning. The salads and main dishes are also very popular.

If you like eggs benedict you should for sure try bartartine’s. They are perfection. We love this place. The food is consistently very good. The service is always on point. We had eggs benedict ($12) the veggie egg casserole ($10) and the red berry pancakes ($11.50). Everything was perfect. The location is beautiful and it’s perfect for a special breakfast out.

Nice atmosphere at Zaytouna bay, And Bartartine service is perfect even when they are under pressure with high traffic. As for the food Bartartine have great quality in general but what's perfect is that they have their own special plates and sweets that i suggest to try.

I invited guest a table of 6 on Saturday 12 june The overall was acceptable but when the bill came the big surprise they charged me for bread 4 slices , so sad because there price is not average but medium high . The catastrophe that when ordered butter which is complimentary in all international restaurants they charged me for 3 pieces more than the bread. The manager said it’s management policy. So sad very disappointing and un professional.
A A — Google review
Very poor experience with the salad bar at mandaloun café achrafieh branch. The ingredients were not fresh and the variety is so disappointing. The hommos had crust on it with moldy green spot. When brought the waiters attention, he simple “changed” the bowl. Very few protein option; everything feels canned, no flavor no seasoning whatsoever on the ingredients and few items looked fresh. Poor value for money.

Sushi is simple and good and fresh. The salad bar is great. The quiche not so great. The fresh juices amazing. Love the place I come here very often
Astrid C — Google review
Although this is called Mandalpun Cafe...it is actually a restaurant offering a big variety of dishes and options. It is a bit expensive and in my opinion targets the high society but still if you are willing to pay for a dish a bit more than what you would pay else where then make sure to visit. They offer the best salad bard ive seen in Lebanon with a lot of choices incl balila..foul..bread..etc... all the dishes i tried were excellent. The service is also amazing and you would be taken care of. I love it and it really deserves the 5 stars. Maybe..the prices could be revisited .

Kalei Coffee Co. is a specialty roastery and cafe located in an abandoned 1950s house in Mar Mikhael, Beirut. Founded by master roaster Dalia Jaffal, the establishment prides itself on sourcing beans directly from growers worldwide to create exceptional coffee blends available for purchase online and at the cafe. The cozy space features a 1kg Diedrich coffee roaster as a centerpiece, alongside an espresso and brew bar.
A nice hidden spot with a cozy garden and a pleasant seating atmosphere, partly with deck chairs. It's definitely the perfect place to relax. You absolutely must try the Rose Jam Pancake.

Abou Hassan Restaurant, now located near the western end of Hamra Street in Beirut, has been a local favorite since its establishment in 1965. This family-run eatery is known for serving authentic Lebanese cuisine at reasonable prices. The menu features delicious mezze, grilled meats, and freshly baked bread. Specializing in Foul and Fatteh, the restaurant offers popular Mediterranean breakfast options like Foul Medamas.
The Fatteh was amazing! The hummus with meat not so much. The balila and foul mix dish was great!
Marita L — Google review
It is a really delicious place for a great breakfast. We ordered hummus with meat and cajo it was superb, the fatteh was good but not the best, the msabaha is also good.

Abou Hassan is a great spot! The food was excellent—especially after coming back from a party at 4 AM. We ordered half the menu and ate every single bite. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you need at that hour. Highly recommended!
Sarah T — Google review
I craved a fool/beans plate one morning, and the food and service exceeded expectations. Twenty-four hours of operation is a plus. My taste buds prefer more lemon and mashed garlic in the fool/beans mix. For the price and nearby convenience, it was a great choice. Highly recommend.

Best Balila (hummus) I had in years. It was the real south Lebanese style with lot of cumin in the sause . I was surprised how much Kaju they put in the Fateh! All is served with Amazing salad plates (service). Very clean and great location near Hamra st. Very quick service and super professional friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable and it opens 24hours 👌

Welcome to The Glow Paradise, where health meets indulgence in the most delightful way! This innovative destination has transformed from a humble juice brand into a vibrant hub for superfoods that tantalize your taste buds. With an impressive menu featuring wholesome summer bowls, lean burgers, and guilt-free appetizers, The Glow Paradise proves that nutritious food can be both exciting and satisfying. The atmosphere is perfect for gathering with friends; it’s lively yet relaxed, making every visit memorable.
I never felt so good while on a diet! The food variety at Glow is amazing and mouthwatering. I tried the Egg-squisite Bacon sandwich and it was really one of the best sandwiches I had in a long time. The brioche bread was so fluffy and tender, it came warm so my guess is that it was baked right before my order. The egg inside was added in a good quantity and all crumbled up with some delicious melted cheese that was still stringy in every bite!! The turkey bacon was delicious, you could never guess that its low fat bacon. The low fat mayo topped everything and was delicious to the taste. I also tried their sweet potato fries that I LOVED OMG! I would recommend their food, a bit pricy but 100% worth it guys!!!

I am absolutely obsessed with this café. I am American tourist visiting there, and I have come to glow paradise every single day to the past three days. First off, the staff was so incredibly friendly unhelpful. One of the servers was named Sarah and she gave me a great recommendation. Everybody else I interacted with was also very kind and helpful. This was my first time trying to coffee that was sweetened with no food and it is absolutely delicious. I literally ordered the glow coffee every single day, with oil, and the monkey sleep there, because it seriously taste like dessert and it’s only 35 Calories. I haven’t tried to move options yet, but I try to be wet, and I try to be avocado bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. I plan to come back through several more times to try some of the other items on the menu because everything looks incredibly fresh and healthy, and even the Lebanese food is delicious, I can often be very hard to be healthy. Simply amazing, I also tried one of their juices, and it had an insane labor to it. I can’t wait to come back again again.

I had lunch at The Glow Paradise in Gemmayze, and the place itself is really cute simple, minimalistic. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the portions were ridiculously small for the price you pay. The taste was good, I can’t complain about that, but the serving sizes were just too small. I’d recommend this place only if you’re looking for a light snack or a small healthy bite.
Hossam B — Google review
The Glow Paradise in Gemmayze is a stylish new coffee spot that offers a great mix of quality and ambiance. We went there for coffee and desserts—the coffee was good, the desserts were delicious, and the interior is thoughtfully designed. Despite the upscale vibe, the pricing is fair, making it accessible without feeling over-the-top. All in all, it’s a lovely addition to the neighborhood and definitely worth a visit for a cozy coffee break or a sweet treat.
David H — Google review
The Glow is perfectly located on the busy street of Gemmayze. You can enjoy the indoor area with individual tables or one large communal table, which encourages mingling with other visitors; a great idea for integration and socialization. The design of the space is spot on. Light beige tones dominate the interior, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. They also have an outdoor area, perfect if you love enjoying your meal while watching the lively street go by. Now, the food…it’s absolutely delicious! I tried items from the new menu today. The beef platter from the “Athletes” section was incredible. The chicken quesadillas were top-notch, and the chicken nuggets were the best I’ve ever had; not oily, perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft and tender like a patty on the inside. For dessert, the banana bread was superb! This place is a must-visit. And let’s not forget the professional, friendly, and welcoming staff; they truly make the experience even better!

Such a lovely spot — beautifully designed and perfect whether you’re grabbing coffee, a drink, or getting some work done. I worked here for several hours and honestly, they have some of the comfiest chairs and most reliable WiFi I’ve found in Beirut (plus, electricity cuts are super rare, I hope I don’t jinx it). Food-wise, it’s a healthy menu and I loved the Brekkie Burrito Wrap. Their coffee and tea are great. Lastly, the staff are awesome; special shout-out to Dany, Bashar, and Matt for making my experience even better!

I’ve always enjoyed the carrot cake here and have ordered it many times, but I was disappointed during my delivery order today. The portion size was noticeably smaller than usual, which was unexpected. Even with the 25% discount, it didn’t feel like a good deal. It’s frustrating to see the quality and size go down, especially as a regular customer who knows what to expect.

Not even sure what I ordered, but it was absolutely delicious. It’s run by a really nice Syrian man and I even got to go inside to see how it was made!! Super delicious and highly recommend. Gattas Bakery was absolutely delicious! Everything was freshly made right in front of us, and the taste was just heavenly. The staff were so kind and gentle — they even offered us a free spinach pastry as a kind gesture. Truly one of those places that makes you smile from the food and the people

Zaatar W Zeit is a beloved Lebanese eatery that has become synonymous with late-night cravings and early morning breakfasts. Whether you're winding down after a night out or starting your day, this modern bakery offers an array of mouthwatering manakish, wraps, and unique salads that cater to all tastes. With locations scattered across Lebanon—from Zalqa to Zouk Mosbeh—it's the perfect spot for those seeking delicious plant-based options during Lent or simply indulging in comfort food.
Best place in al Hamra for a late night dinner / snack! The staff are very lovely and helpful, the manakeesh are excellent, as well as the sandwiches, I recommend the Francisco sandwich, definitely my favorite branch of Zaatar w Zeit in Beirut!
Sima J — Google review
I decided to try the Caesar Deluxe Salad for a healthy dinner option. Unfortunately, the only redeeming feature was the grilled chicken on top. Beyond that, the salad was underwhelming, especially given the high price.

I recently traveled from the UK to Beirut and had the pleasure of dining at Zaatar w Zait. The experience was fantastic! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The staff was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience. However, I did find the prices to be a bit higher compared to other nearby places. This is the only reason I'm giving Zaatar w Zait 4 stars instead of 5. Despite this, I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in Beirut. The quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth a visit.

We stopped by Zaatar w Zeit For some food, the ambience is nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. As for the food everything tasted really good I’m a fan of the Halloumi in find pan and fries with cheese. I enjoyed the eco friendly shift they are doing, they now use paper straws instead of plastic which is really nice.

Restaurant
Em Sherif Cafe offers a unique and luxurious fine-dining experience in the vibrant city of Beirut. The restaurant is known for its opulent atmosphere and impeccable service, overseen by the owner, Em Sherif. The menu features traditional Lebanese cuisine, including an array of mezze, complemented by a carefully curated selection of French, Italian, and Lebanese wines. Blending oriental fine dining with Lebanese culinary traditions, Em Sherif has earned a reputation as one of Beirut's top dining destinations.
The food was delicious and full of flavor. We ordered two plates of shawarma — one chicken and one beef. Both were juicy, well-seasoned, and served with tasty sides. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly. Service was quick and smooth. It’s better to book during weekends at peak hours, as it tends to get crowded.
Fatima Z — Google review
Overrated place... My experience was below the expectations based on what I saw on social media and marketing campaigns about Em Sherif. From the very small portion, to the badly recommended drinks, to the loud atmosphere... Food taste was average.
Nahil K — Google review
Not surprised by the perfection , it’s exactly what you expect from Em Sherif. Whether it’s the food, dessert, service, or atmosphere, everything hits the mark. Every single dish was a hit, full of flavor and done right. The service? Flawless. The whole vibe of the place is just top-tier without trying too hard. Also, for the quality you’re getting, it’s surprisingly affordable. Definitely coming back.🙏👌
Joseph C — Google review
I visited Em Sherif Restaurant for lunch and was very disappointed with the overall experience. First, they only offer a barcode menu, which feels unprofessional and inconvenient — I would expect a proper printed menu, especially at a place that positions itself as premium. The atmosphere was extremely unpleasant. The restaurant was filled with heavy Shisha and cigarette smoke, making it very uncomfortable to breathe, and it was so noisy that it was difficult to enjoy the meal. The tables are crammed so closely together that there’s barely room to move, and the chairs are old, dirty, and worn out — the place really needs an upgrade. The service was equally poor. The staff placed the dishes on the table without any eye contact or hospitality, almost as if they were rushing to get rid of us. For the price they charge, I would expect professional, attentive service. The wine experience was also disappointing. The glasses were very cheap and not suitable for the quality or price of the wine we ordered. For a restaurant of this level, they should invest in proper glassware. Overall, I left with a headache from the smoke and the overall chaos. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting again — it’s not worth the time or money.

If you’re looking for the ultimate Lebanese dining experience, Em Sherif Sea Café is truly in a league of its own. I’ve tried many Lebanese restaurants, but this one stands out as my absolute favorite. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed with elegance, warmth, and a breathtaking setting – especially if you’re seated by the sea. The atmosphere is refined yet inviting, perfect for a relaxing lunch or a special dinner. But let’s talk about the food – it’s a celebration of flavor, freshness, and authenticity. Every dish is crafted with care, beautifully presented, and deeply rooted in Lebanese culinary tradition. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and the mezza selection is nothing short of exceptional. You can taste the quality in every bite. What truly sets Em Sherif apart is the attention to detail – from the service to the plating to the ambiance. You feel like you’re part of something special. Whether you’re a local or visiting Lebanon, this is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates top-tier Lebanese cuisine.

My all time favorite whenever im craving lebanese food! I just love how everytime the experience at em sherif is better than the previous one! They always empress me with their kindness, their amazing hospitality, their professionalism, and their friendly workers. You can never go wrong with em sherif! Their food is on another level of excellence 😋. Never miss their “ em sherif burger” it’s somethinggggg elseeee it’s the best Lebanese burger that you’ll ever have.
Farah F — Google review
We had lunch there today with a friend. The Lebanese food was outstanding. The Meza was delicious and the barbecued meat and chicken were delicious. It was literally homemade quality and taste of superior standard. The service was equally wonderful. When it was time to pay the bill I was a bit anxious having read so much about it being overpriced. I was delighted when I saw the bill. For the quality and standard of food and for the atmosphere of the cafe I personally think it was a fair price much less than I expected. Em Sherif Cafe is highly recommended.
George H — Google review
Well it was a disappointment. May be because of the very high expectations the trade has, it wasn't at all as expected. Although a good service, but the food was average with very small portions and the atmosphere wasn't extraordinary. Even the decoration was mediocre. Drinks are very badly done and recommended. I guess big names fall out bigger.

Sawani Falfoul is a Lebanese restaurant that prides itself on serving authentic dishes with a unique twist, such as fattet sfiha. The establishment actively supports local farmers and businesses by using organic produce in their three main dishes: falafel, fatteh, and foul. The menu offers diverse options for breakfast, brunch, or lunch in a family-friendly environment. Customers have praised the friendly staff and the opportunity to customize their own vegetable side dish.
Sawani Falfoul is a perfect spot for traditional Lebanese breakfast (they’re open 24h it seems?) Super friendly service, and the food was excellent! Foul was delicious and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Yummy hummus too. There is also veggie and pickle cart you can self service from. Loved the food and overall experience, great spot for breakfast in Badaro.
Alex F — Google review
I had heard that their falafel, beautifully coated in sesame and crispy and light, was popular, so I went. The quality of the falafel is very high, the hottest and freshest was served after being fried. It's clear from the owner-chef's policy that they care about local vegetables, and they take care of every ingredient. I was very impressed with the freshly baked hot bread. Unfortunately, the service wasn't too bad, but it was a little rough, for example when the kunafa dish was served a little bluntly over the table, which caused the small syrop pot to splash partially over the table, and she didn't even notice that it had happened after she put it down. The change was inadvertently returned after a long silence. I wonder if their long history sometimes makes them a little arrogant. However, the same ladies on the floor were friendly from the start, which made it all the more disappointing. The decor and atmosphere was very sophisticated and homely, and I understood that they had many regulars who loved this place. # Beirut # Lebanon

We visited this place after seeing it all over social media with impressive marketing and visuals, which really caught our attention. Unfortunately, the actual experience was quite disappointing. The food didn’t meet expectations — we experienced stomach discomfort afterward, and one of the plates even had a hair in it, which we had to ask them to replace. Overall, the experience fell short compared to what’s shown online. It simply wasn’t worth the price when considering the taste, quality, and service. Definitely not what we expected.

I passed again by Sawani Falfoul and it seems that I still have the same opinion which reflect the consistency of the place: Sawani Falfoul is a casual place where you can enjoy Lebanese traditional food with a twist without touching the essential taste of the Lebanese cuisine. A clean and well organized restaurant with an open kitchen. The service is swfit and friendly. You can enjoy a variety of traditional dishes along with innovated ones. Ingredients are fresh and well balanced. Don't miss to try the new items like r2a2at falafel and fatet wara2 3enab. To end your meal with a dessert, the creme brulee with halewe is a must. Prices are fair and affordable. Don't miss the experience at Sawani Falfoul. Unique experience of Lebanese Traditional Food The place is cosy located in Badaro. The staff is friendly. The owner is taking care of the food, process and quality which add a special touch to your visit. You can try traditional dishes and special created ones and some with a unique fusion. The taste of Lebanese food there worth a trial. Prices are affordable and fair. You can also buy some homemade ingredients like Arak, wine, pickles...

Heard many times about it , today was my first meal at Falfoul, great experience, delicious varieties of Lebanese food , Foul , Hummus and all this Family of food , i tried the Foul with extra Hummus, the portion was more than average, tasty, and not too much garlic or spices in it so you can add them as you want your preferred doses, i liked the fact that i can prepare my own vegetables side dish , it's a great way to satisfy customer and minimise the waste. Prices are affordable Definitely will be back soon.

On a springy day, where the taste buds are blossoming like flowers, eager to new experiences, I went to catch up with my friend over lunch on the terrace. I called earlier to reserve, and a sweet host booked me a table. Upon arriving, a professional staff with genuine smiles welcoming us and guiding us to our table. The terrace is beautifully set, a simple decoration and light touch of color. First things first, one of the tastiest bread baskets I had, and a side of olive and walnuts tapenade. What I loved the most was the professionalism of our waiter Houssam; besides being knowledgeable of the menu, he was very helpful in the modifications we requested in our order. We had: Regular garden salad, that was not on the menu, yet was prepared to us Grilled salmon salad with raspberry vinaigrette: generous bunch of greens topped with the flaky salmon strips, the flavors marrying perfectly together; recommended dish. Not a fan of avocado, I requested additional veggies on the side and was not deceived! Shrimp orzo: a lightened version of risotto, aldente with a tomato sauce and crowned with shrimps with basil. Chef you are very creative! A highly recommended restaurant with reasonable prices and lovely service.

Snack Faysal, a beloved fixture on Bliss Street, has evolved from a full restaurant to a vibrant snack bar that operates around the clock. This Hamra hotspot is perfect for those seeking a quick and delicious bite at any hour. The standout dish here is undoubtedly the spinach fatayer, particularly when paired with Dibs elremen—a must-try for anyone visiting! During my recent visit, I sampled an array of snacks that showcased both classic flavors and unique creations.
The place is known for all late dinners in town. It will fulfill your hunger. I enjoyed the special spinach served with Labneh. The Sfiha is juicy and full of flavors . It take time to get your food because they are busy, so come before u are extremely hungry otherwise u just can't wait.

Lovely pastries ! Loved their crunchy spinach pie sided with labneh, one of my regular spots when i visit lebanon !! Recommended

Sooo expensive for moaajanat ! The sfiha looks good but the taste is ok! Meat rolls full of spices, u cant taste meat! Spinach speciality’s are sooo bad! U cant taste spinach, only debbes romman (pomegranate molasses) and hot pepper 🌶️.. all in all food there to take photos for it not to eat! Bad experience.. Not recommended at all

Faysal is famous for his special ftayer bi sbenigh, and they were absolutely amazing. The fact that it’s a 24/7 spot makes it perfect for anyone craving a bite after a night out. That said, I was honestly shocked by the price it was extremely expensive for a snack. The food was really good, but the cost was definitely surprising.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Faisal's Best Fatayer in Town," and I must say, it truly lives up to its name! The fatayer here is simply unmatched, boasting a perfect balance of crispiness, flavor, labne dip on the side and fresh vegetables. Each bite is a delightful combination of fresh ingredients and expertly crafted dough that leaves you craving more. Highly recommended for all food lovers out there!

The Fatayer Spinach with Dibs elremen is quite something there. Definitely something to try. We ordered a lot of different bites to try a maximum of items. They are all interesting and tasty. They have classic snack and original ones that I never tried before. The place can be crowded (next to a University) so try to avoid busy hours. The surrounding are lively but I wouldn’t say charming. You should go there for their snacks, it is a must to try!

Snack Faysal is a Beirut classic! Open 24/7 with crispy, flavorful fatayers that always hit the spot. Perfect for a quick bite any time of day or night.

Bar Tartine - Restos St. Nicolas in Beirut is a delightful spot for breakfast or brunch, offering a charming ambiance and excellent service. Their viennoiserie selection includes flaky croissants and generously-filled Chocolate Almond croissants, perfect with a fresh cup of coffee. The restaurant's popularity has led to the opening of a second branch in ABC Achrafieh, both known for their great selection of dishes made with fresh ingredients and unique flavors.
We headed to Bar Tartine after a disappointing experience nearby—and it instantly made up for it. We were hungry and in need of something reliable, and Bar Tartine delivered exactly that. The food not only satisfied our hunger but also hit the right spot in terms of flavor and comfort. It’s one of those places that remains a familiar go-to, where you know you’ll get good food, pleasant service, and a cozy atmosphere. Bar Tartine continues to be a comforting classic that never disappoints.

I had a wonderful lunch at Bartentine! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, even during lunchtime, which made for a pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch or a more formal meal, Bartentine is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

As always bartartine is the best place for breakfast . But this time the egg hollandaise was a bit disappointing, it came cold and flavorless. As for the service, for the first time waiter and waitress were bored with us, addressing in a very rude way . But whatever the desserts came impeccable as always
Ragi G — Google review
As always, BarTartine never compromises on quality, taste or overall service experience. It's one of my favorite places for these reasons. The new menu has not disappointed either.

I passed by this place to have lunch with my wife. The staff were friendly. When we were waiting to give our order, a waiter was standing at the nearby table chitchatting with his friend about basketball, so we had to call another waiter so that we don't pause the conversation. The service was fast. The dish I chose was really good. I liked it. Keep up the good work.

One of the best Lebanese restaurants with an international menu that caters for all taste buds. I respect that they didn’t change the quality and the portions. The menu is always updated and the tastes are super. Staff are always super welcoming and friendly.

All branches of Bartartine offer a great selection of dishes, fresh ingredients, unique flavors, and fast service. The branch at Restos St. Nicolas is easily accessible and suitable for family seating. If you’re looking for a light eat with enough proteins and greens, I highly recommend the Asian chicken noodles. I recently tried the seared tuna wasabi tartine, which was very tasty. They also serve a lovely variety of cocktails, though if you want non-alcoholic drinks, their orange juice is fresh, and mint lemonade is very refreshing.

I had ordered fatteh and special foul, the food was so yummy 😋😍 and the portion are so fair for two people, presentation is great 👍👌 highly recommended for breakfast 👌
DOUAA S — Google review
This Restaurant came highly recommended. The physical space is neat, clean and appealing. The food presentation is well done. The service is excellent. The quality of the products used are fresh and well presented. I ordered the special foul the Manoushi with fresh zaatar and the Bulgarian cheese dish. Pictures will be attached. My comment on the dishes that I had is there were so many contradictory tastes in the food that it lost a lot of its original expected taste. As an example, the Manoushi. had so much pomegranate molasses drizzled on it that it over powered the taste of the zaatar and also made the Manoushi soggy. The foul taste is also lost with all the condiments that are on top. The simplicity of this traditional food is lost in this chefs interpretation. I will not comment on the other dishes because I did not try them. I am sure that if we had made other choices we might have been more pleased.

The place is calm and very well decorated with an excellent service. Impressive food presentation, wide varieties of lebanese breakfast dishes that are rich in flavours and prepared with fresh ingredients. Never to forget the tasty green zaatar man'ouche! Yet the veggie omlette wasn't so great. Fatteh and foul were excellent!

The Lebanese Bakery is a charming spot located in Ashrafieh, offering a wide variety of traditional Lebanese bakery items. The bakery's name 'Shish Tawook' has Turkish origins, reflecting the Ottoman influence on Lebanese cuisine. Visitors can indulge in an array of delectable options such as cheese, zaatar, spinach, and meat specialties. The ambiance is enhanced by beautiful old stone walls and friendly staff who provide excellent service.
A unique tasty "mankoushe" with special kind of dough. Having breakfast inside is lovely as the place has an awesome traditional style, and is located in a very cozy area. The varied items are all worth trying, and the "mankoushe" is very light. The ladies are friendly and nice, serving food in a very special way. Also, some Lebanese pastries & Jam Jars are sold there. Highly recommended.

The mankoosh/manakeesh was awsome! The food was really fresh. You can watch them bake the food in front of you. Highly recommend.
Brandon D — Google review
The mankushe tasted overdone, dry, and lacked seasoning. Pesto mankushe had an overpowering, artificial taste. Jebne and zaatar mankushe aren’t the best quality of i gredients, missing the traditional flavors. The mini bites were disappointingly basic and left much to be desired. Overall, a Meh experience. 🫤

The boutique, which first opened in 2016 and recently relocated to Ashrafieh, offers exquisitely crafted sweet treats that blend traditional techniques with innovative flavors.
During my short trip to Lebanon, I had the best croissant at Des Choux. It made my visit extra special, and their kindness and generosity were wonderful. LOVELY!

I honestly did not expect the pastries to taste as good as they looked, It was a very pleasant experience, I think I went there like 4 times. The tarts were very good the shells were flaky and well baked. The end result was very delicious and balanced tarts. The orange financier were delicious. Also try the classic combo that never disappoints, fondant au chocolat and vanilla ice-cream. My favorite tart was the peach and rose petals one. Thanks as well the staff who are lively and very friendly, especially the charming lady at the counter.

Great patisserie with an awesome chef ! We tasted the ice creams created by Chef Samer and it was tasty. The shop is super clean and well managed. All the team is very friendly. I am more of a sorbet fan but if you like to eat high quality ice creams in summer you can definitely count on the caramel beurre salé, the vanilla and the bounty ice cream they make here. I definitely want yo try the pastries bcz it looked amazing. Each scoop of ice cream is 2$

Overall we enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Check-in staff is amazing! We arrived there and my kids were exhausted from the flight. After checking-in the receptionist was so sweet with my three year old daughter, entertaining her while showing us to the waiting area. The room is great, location wonderful, and food delicious. My two complaints: the waiting time for food and the concierge desk confused my airport transportation twice. That said, I don’t have the heart to mark them down because the receptionist was awesome!

Guests can indulge in various amenities such as a spa, gym, design shop, hair salon, concierge service, pool with sweeping city views and VIP perks. The hotel also features seven restaurants offering diverse culinary experiences.
I've stayed at this hotel during my business trip in Beirut last 21st September and I can understand why this is the one they recommended for me. The location has a lot of cafes so walking on my free time was so nice. The staff are helpful and friendly (a very SUPER welcome indeed). They are clear with their rules and considerate at the same time. The Breakfast was also amazing, they have a good selection of food. And being there for 5 days, I did not get tired of their breakfast selections. There are 2 places that I have not checked at this hotel, the pool and rooftop bar which I was told was amazing. I do hope to check it if I ever get the opportunity to come back. Thank you The Smallville Hotel for making my stay in Lebanon amazing and superb!

The pool area at this hotel is undeniably beautiful — the aesthetic is on point, with a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for a day of lounging. Unfortunately, the experience was brought down by the service. The reception staff were surprisingly rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone from the start. Additionally, the staff at the pool bar seemed unfamiliar with the drinks they were serving and couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. It's a shame, because the ambiance really had potential. With better-trained and more professional staff, this could easily be a five-star spot.

This hotel has a fun, unique vibe with its superhero theme. Rooms are clean, and the staff especially Maya and Ala’ at the front desk were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with bookings. The pool is also clean and has a nice atmosphere. The only downside: charging $10 a night for parking even for guests, which doesn’t really make sense.
Raneem M — Google review
Such an amazing hotel! Smallville is truly one of the best in town. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. One highlight for me was the food — I tried their burger, and it’s honestly the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Highly recommend staying here!
Laith A — Google review
It’s o-k — but I found it very strange that you’re not allowed to bring any food from outside into the hotel to your room (thus forcing you to order room service, felt a bit like a cinema forcing you to buy from the lobby). They also charge for the nespresso capsules — I saw it said “$3” and assumed that meant for extra! Never in my life have I stayed in a supposedly 5* hotel where they charge for Nespresso in your room! Staff are friendly. These comments are for management who need to bring their policies in line with other 5* hotels if they want to keep charging at this level. Rooms are big (provided you get a deluxe)

Safsouf Sweets, located in Lebanon, is renowned for its delectable Knefe and Maamoul mad bi Kashta. The shop exudes a street food ambiance and offers an array of Oriental sweets. Customers have raved about the freshness and deliciousness of their products, even when shipped abroad to places like Australia. While some have found the baklava to be on the larger side, others praise Safsouf's traditional Arabic pastries as amazing.
This sweet shop is bound to be very popular with the locals, given since 1930. They even have a kind of special aura, not just a sweet smell. Just to take away, but they make me to appreciate many things about Arab sweets at home. The flavour is not overly sweet, but quite exquisite. The cream filling is also very special and smooth, unlike other sweet treats. # Beirut # Lebanon
T. G — Google review
What a lovely experience that is! My first time in Lebanon, it's the second day of Ramadan, and what a beautiful day it is. I had the pleasure of joining the crowd seeking safsouf, for seemingly everything they serve, and it was such a vivid and lively feeling. Their sweets are so original and authentic in every aspect: the exquisite sweets themselves, their appearance and shape, the portion size, how they're served, cut, and packed, and most importantly, the taste. They truly serve some of the best sweets I have tried, especially with qishtah baladi (local fresh cream), which is so different from the packed cream sold in supermarkets. They have some of the best Mamoul I have tried. The pistachio and walnut versions were truly exceptional. The size was perfect – one piece was satisfying – and the texture of the filling had the right level of softness and quality, cooked almost to perfection. They serve many items, including a special menu throughout Ramadan. Besides Baklawa, Konafa, and Mamoul, they have a very popular item called Mamoul md, which loosely translates to flattened Mamoul. It's a star, a beauty, mouth-watering, and as they fancily put it, savoury – but simply, it's a delightful bite of sweet. They offer different types: dates, walnuts, pistachio, and one that has a layer of qishtah filling in-between two layers of pistachio paste – an excellent treat! I was attended by an exquisite gentleman, and when I inquired about his name, the rest of the team replied, "This is moalem Omar, he's the owner." I was genuinely pleased by his humility and dedication, and how meticulous he was in arranging my order packaging as I was taking it abroad. They also serve Mafroukeh, a very special dish made of two layers of pistachio paste separated by qishtah baladi. I wanted to purchase some, but Mr. Omar asked about my flight time (late at night). He advised against packing it for Jordan, explaining that it needed to be kept refrigerated until just before my flight, which wouldn't be possible for me, as it might spoil due to the fresh cream. He truly cares. Even in the midst of a rush hour, his attention to such details elevated the whole experience for me. It was no longer just a client receiving the best possible service; I felt more like a friend or a relative being advised by such a humble and genuine gentleman. I did buy a plate just to taste after iftar, and even though I didn't eat it then, it did make its way to Jordan! Being attended by one of the owners and witnessing his dedication, along with the entire team commitment, simply added to the almost perfect experience. This is only the second time I've felt truly compelled to award a 5-star rating (the first being for a memorable seafood restaurant in Hamburg), and it's a testament to their exceptional quality and service. Thank you for being so committed, for maintaining authenticity and quality, and for serving such exquisite sweets. I wish you all the best, and Inshallah, I look forward to the next opportunity to visit again.

Amazing sweets. This was sent to Australia and it was still as fresh and delicious. Ma3mol mad b’ashta was simply delicious and it was still fresh after it arrived. The namura is also great, i wish they had namura b’ashta available. Baklava wasn’t the best. Flavour was there but the size is a bit big for what it should be. Worth the calories 💯✅

I’ve been enjoying Safsouf Kunafa and Madd for many years, and it holds a very special place in my heart. On a recent visit, I had the Kunafa and picked up some Madd mix—it was an absolute delight. Friendly service and top-quality sweets make this place a must-visit!

Safsouf is a Beirut landmark family-owned, authentic, and consistent for generations. Famous for their shuaibiyat, maamoul madd, and maamoul al eid, the quality remains excellent. I recently ordered trays for my aunts, and both the taste and freshness were outstanding. The staff are respectful, efficient, and welcoming. Even when I had to wait for a fresh batch of shuaibiyat, they remembered me right away and delivered the tray with a smile. It’s this mix of tradition, quality, and genuine hospitality that makes Safsouf special. A place worth supporting and keeping strong for years to come.

10/10, probably best breakfast I‘ve had so far! ⭐️ Foul bil zubda blew me away, seriously (the normal foul was only okay in comparison). Hummus bi mukassarat (with nuts) is the real deal and the cheese omelette, don’t even get me started… 🤤 A plate roughly cost 30.000LL (October 2021), great place for the quality and quantity. I will be back!

Nothing better than waking up and ordering a fresh plate of Fatte, foul, balila or hummus,This is a place where you can eat like royals for under $10,highly recommend eating here especially for breakfast. Staff is a 3/5 since they are a bit understaffed and the atmosphere is also a 3 since all you see around you are plastic wrap and the stretched street of mar Elias.
Mohamad — Google review
I wouldn’t really call this a breakfast spot, since their menu is more about fatte, foul, balila, hummus, and eggs, which they serve all morning and into lunchtime. But one thing is for sure, the name Le Professeur couldn’t be more fitting. Once you’ve tasted their food, you’ll see that these guys are absolute pros at what they do. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot on, and the service is just as warm and welcoming. You instantly feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. That being said, the only real downside is the cleanliness 😬 especially behind the counter, in the kitchen, and up in the prep area. It doesn’t take away from how good the food is, but it’s something you’ll definitely notice. So if you’re picky about spotless kitchens, then this might not be your cup of tea, even though the food itself is absolutely fantastic.

Awesome Lebanese breakfast place. We got several items off the menu including the fettah, the msoubaha, the hummus with lahme, etc. The food was great, the service was excellent. Giving 4 stars only because it’s not the best breakfast I’ve had in Lebanon and the seating options are quite limited. Definitely a spot worth checking out, and I’ll be back!!

They have offer for Ramadan. They have suhur offer for only 6500ll including labneh, balila, foul, hummus , tea, dibs w t7ine. I ordered fatteh b laban. It was really delicious. I recommend this place it's like a small cafe or popular restaurant though

My favorite foul and fatte place in Beirut. They even give you Tahini and Debes as a dessert which is my favorite part! I haven't been to Lebanon in a long time, but I can't wait to visit so I could have breakfast there everyday!

Nestled in the heart of Beirut, InterContinental Le Vendôme is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable stay. This elegant hotel features a serene lobby adorned with plush seating areas and beautifully decorated corridors lined with padded fabric walls and marble accents. With 75 luxurious rooms, including sumptuous suites boasting stunning views, guests can indulge in comfort and style.
75 rooms. Elegant quiet lobby. It is set back from the road, and has a circular drive with large plants, and no large sign, so it is not easy to spot. But it is a hidden gem worth finding. The lobby is elegant with a half dozen seating areas. The corridors are beautifully decorated with padded fabric walls and marble. 2 small quick elevators. My room was sumptuous. A suite, with a foyer, a huge salon with a sofa and 4 chairs, desk and TV. There was a large king bed in the bedroom. Full bath with separate shower and tub, and a smaller one with a sink and WC. I had a huge balcony facing the sea, but there was not any outdoor furniture. There is a restaurant on the top floor which has magnificent views of the Mediterranean.

Great hotel with great service. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. They all spoke excellent French and English. The view from our room was gorgeous. There was traffic outside but the noise isolation was so good, we didn't hear anything. The breakfast at the top floor was excellent. Overall great experience. Definitely worth coming back.

Beautiful view! We were excited to stay here after a terrible experience at the grand hotel Beirut. We were greeted by the friendly reception who kindly let us check in early and even gave us an extra room upgrade at no cost! He was very friendly and even had wonderful suggestions as to what to do in the city. We asked for some ice to be brought up to the room and were happily surprised when they were accompanied with fresh juice as well as a plate of sandwiches! The intercontinental never lets me down but of all of the locations I've stayed at this is by far one of the best experiences I've received. :)

Beautiful view from my window, friendly staff. Very sweet Boutique hotel. Highly recommend it. Great breakfast view! Just across the street there are lots of restaurants and cafes.

A bit old and quiet. No facilities although you can use Phoenicia Hôtel near by gym and pool. I would still recommend it for the people who like upscale and quiet hotels with extremely nice view from Sydney’s restaurant at the roof overlooking beirut waterfront

Nestled right at the entrance of the bustling Beirut Souks, Balthazar is a charming spot that draws in both shoppers and those simply looking to soak up the vibrant atmosphere. While it may appear to be a casual café with its inviting outdoor seating, step inside and you'll find an elegant setting adorned in rich black, red, and gold hues that perfectly complement its upscale French menu.
Probably the best pain perdu you can taste. The restaurant sits on a busy street of Down Town. I have never tasted salty food there but sweets are really good!

The ambience is really nice, I love the red theme they went with. The staff is friendly and professional. As for the food everything tastes really good. The duck it’s a must try one of the best I’ve had, the pain perdu is equally impressive. They have really tasty mussels as well if you are a fan.

I have been to this cafe several times. They have the best Pain Perdu (French toast aka bread pudding) in Beirut. Pricing is OK, and you can easily find parking at the mall. The service can be a little slow sometimes, and it can be challenge to get the attention of someone.

Very nice and welcoming staff. I like their pan Perdue ( one of the best in Beirut ) 👌🏻 coffee was average.
LAN — Google review
The place looks nice and the food tasted good... that’s the positive. The negative is the service, as soon as you get your food... you are on your own until you’re done. What’s worse is that you don’t get what you order... I ordered the burger medium well, with no onions and no mustard. My burger was well-done, with onions and mustard, which just ruined my whole experience. I would have recommended the place if the staff actually knew what they were doing, but personally food taste is not a good reason for me to come back if I don’t get a nice treatment or get my food the way I was promised. I wouldn’t come back.

Mosaic Restaurant is a luxurious dining spot in Beirut, offering a blend of Lebanese and international cuisine. The restaurant's elegant interiors create a sublime atmosphere for guests to enjoy their carefully crafted dishes. Their buffet table boasts an array of options, including home-smoked salmon, freshly baked goodies, and live cooking stations. With a fusion menu prepared by skilled chefs using fresh seasonal ingredients, Mosaic stands out among Beirut's dining experiences.
Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days to attend a corporate event. Food quality at Mosaic restaurant was superb and Naji and his team were extremely hospitable.
Mostafa F — Google review
It really deserves more than 5 stars! The service is extremely professional, you would be really feeling as a VIP! The staff are really helpful and friendly. The manager did visit our table and when we were about to leave he also came to thank us! The food was exquisite, not a single bad thing to mention! Many choices, all in a very good setting and so fresh, especially the sushi and salmon sashimi, the yummiest! As for the desserts, the choice is endless, i love the mix between lebanese oriental and international tastes. All in all, the price is really good for the international buffet, the rip off comes with the drinks as they are extremely expensive. I would recommend Mosaic for sure!!!

I took my mom for an early birthday celebration and the experience was magical. We finally got the chance to try their breakfast buffet. The options were varied, and the food was delicious. Both mom and I enjoyed our time at the restaurant. The service was top notch! Mr. Naji, the manager, made us feel very welcomed, remembering our names, and answering our questions. The whole staff was professional, attentive without hovering over us. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

The majestic Phoenicia Intercontinental Beirut does not need any advertising. Since 1961, it has been a Leader on the regional level, a home out of home with a sprinkle of luxury and more than the rated 5 stars service. It has also marked itself on the dining scene in Lebanon with its different dining outlets. It was time to try Mosaic famous Saturday's themed eve "3al lebneni"! The famous Chef Hicham Farhat will amaze you with a Buffet of Lebanese food like you have never tasted it before. First, we were welcomed and escorted to our table beautifully set. Expect to find different age ranges, from families, to young and old couples; there was even a wedding on the other side of the restaurant! On the facing stage, a band playing and a singer with her smooth voice singing oldies making an enjoyable ambiance. A belly dancer showed up later too! Now from where to start to talk about the feast we were offered? Chef Hicham was very keen to make the experience unforgettable. Starting with  a live demonsatrtion of the tastiest frake jnoubie! Chef in Action First things first: salad bar so appealing with all fresh seasonal ingredients, other mixed salads such as Fattoush and Tabbouli and another selection of seafood ones. There is a fatte and foul station to cater your taste. The mezze, every kind you can imagine and more new items such as carrot and beetroot mtabbal:) And oh the zahlawee mtabbal my first (what a shame for a Bekaee lady:P). And the basterma millefeuille such an innovative recipe. We tried the different kibbe made by the chef: meat, chicken and fish (last one my favorite with caramelized onions), and the tajine so light and perfectly cooked. The feast has to be ended with the sweetest note: a spread of oriental and wetsern desserts to cater every taste. So overall, besides gaining at elast 2 kgs after this eve:P, an amzing experience to be repeated! Bonus was the fortune teller who promised good events on the way, let's wait and see!

This has to be one of my favourite hotel breakfasts in the Middle East. The selection of food is varied and high quality. What really makes it stand out is the friendly and welcoming service from the manager, Mr Naja Aoun, down to the chefs, waitresses, and everyone else. Thank you for helping me start my day with a delicious breakfast and a friendly smile!

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at Mosaic Restaurant in the Phoenicia Hotel, and it was a truly memorable experience. The service was impeccabl and professional throughout the evening. The food was exceptional, offering a wide array of dishes that catered to every palate. It stands out as one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in Lebanon. While it is on the pricier side, the quality, ambiance, and overall experience make it well worth the investment. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone seeking a refined and festive culinary outing.
Philip T — Google review
Not a good experience! We went on Easter Sunday, the tables were too close to each other and a table of 8 was given for 10 people. Basically we couldn't move our chairs to go to buffet. The service was terrible, we had to ask several times to get something. As for the buffet, the taste was ok but food platters were not being replaced, for example the paella had no fish, sushi was very limited, we had to wait like 20 min to get soya… no fruits… It is nothing compared to what it was in the old days.
Tamar K — Google review
Went there for the salmon and shrimp buffet and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The variety is huge, the freshness is outstanding, and the taste is amazing. The creativity with the food was insane — you can even find salmon tacos or salmon shawarma. The dessert selection was also big and so delicious. Highly recommended!

If you're on the hunt for a culinary delight, look no further than Hallab 1881. This iconic establishment has been serving up delectable treats since 1881 and is renowned across Lebanon for its mouthwatering selection of oriental sweets, pastries, and ice creams. With two spacious floors adorned with high ceilings, the inviting aromas will instantly whet your appetite as you explore their extensive menu.
There is an amazing range of varieties, as well as traditional Arabic and European sweets. The price is a little high, but considering that this is one of the most authentic sweet shops since 1881 and the atmosphere is one, it is reasonable. The service is quite good, with a high level of hospitality. In fact, I came to see the charismatic manager, Georges. I think all the staff are also charismatic. I also found sugar-free bakra in the shop, what a great idea. # Beirut # Lebanon

Today, we visited Hallab 1881 - Sin el fil Branch for the first time and indulged in a delightful Royal breakfast. We savored a delicious spread, including Haloum mechwe, plate of Labneh, Fateh msa2es2a, Hommous bethine with awarma, Lahme baajin, and concluded with knefe and the Arabic sweet, “wardet l cham.” The experience was fantastic – the food was not only scrumptious and clean, but the staff was also friendly. The taste of every dish was simply amazing. Our bill came to $40 for three people. Highly recommend!

If you would like to sit and enjoy adding some calories. This place is a perfect match for your goal. They have a tasty tarboush made with Maamoul mad. The mafrouke with Pistachio is tasty as well and not sweet at all. Everything seems tasty but for sure you are not able to try everything. People are attentive and friendly there. The place is always busy.

Hallab 1881 Sin El Fil never fails to impress with its authentic flavors and top-quality treats. Whenever I travel, Hallab is my go-to for a taste of perfection. Their maamoul is simply divine, embodying not just a snack but a tradition of excellence. What sets Hallab apart is not just their delicious offerings but also their meticulous attention to packaging, ensuring that every treat is presented with care and elegance, making it a delightful gift for anyone. Recently, my craving for something sweet led me to Hallab in the afternoon. I indulged in their famous Mshakal Ashta. The combination was a burst of flavors, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Whether you're looking for a quick treat or a special gift, Hallab 1881 Sin El Fil is the place to go for an authentic taste of Lebanon's culinary excellence.

I am a regular to Hallab outlets across Lebanon and really do love what they offer. Today unfortunately was a real disappointment. We ordered breakfast and really from the onset the whole experience was a let down, from demotivated staff, to dirty cutlery and then the food. The food was really not to the Hallab standard. We spoke to the staff and requested they take the food away barely eaten. The manager tried to offer us some sweets as a means of making a mends. However, there really wasn't any going back from the lack of cleanliness and really shocking taste of the food. This branch clearly has some issues judging by other recent reviews. I walked away thinking what did I just pay for. It was a complete waste of money.

I really like this place. At first i thought the look from outside was a bit too bright for this street but then i tried it and might have judged the book by its cover! Great service, delicious cocktails and the experience was very smooth and relaxing! Every Monday they create a new cocktail and they call it cocktail of the week. It is usually delicious! Prices are fair. Heard it's not the place where you eat if you're hungry, because of the small portions. But i've tried the food and it's good, and it's not too small of a portion and not too large, just a fair quantity as a snack. You can even order sweets from the next door called Sift. Sat there at night and also once during the day, couldn't be more relaxed! Recommended.

The Place is nice, a little bit hidden in Ashrafieh. They have an indoor and outdoor. Typically a coffeeshop more than a restaurant. The service is friendly and quick. Nestled in the heart of Ashrafieh, Mamaz Kitchen Beirut is a delightful homage to the rich tapestry of Lebanese cuisine. Drawing inspiration from generations of women who have lovingly crafted home-cooked meals, this eatery offers a menu that beautifully marries traditional recipes with innovative twists influenced by global culinary experiences.
Imagine stepping into a dream sculpted from the bones of a hovel, a dream built upon the foundation of culinary excellence. That's the essence of LOST, this boutique hotel rising above the renowned Mamaz Kitchen. It's the tangible manifestation of Sakhr Azar's vision, a phoenix rising from the ashes of a forgotten ruin. Sakhr Azar didn't just rebuild; he breathed life back into a forgotten space, weaving a story of resilience and beauty. The 'before' and 'after' photos demonstrate an extraordinary evolution, a five-year journey from crumbling stone to a three-story masterpiece. Mamaz Kitchen, the culinary heart below, delivered an experience that resonated on every level of culinary artistry and hospitality. I had the extraordinary opportunity to dine there before the official opening, and it was... perfect. Truly. Not just the food, which was exceptional, but the whole experience. The delicate aroma of expertly crafted dishes, the seamless flow of attentive service, the visual poetry of each plate – it was a sensory immersion, a triumph of restoration and refinement. And the rooms above! The breathtaking use of marble in every bathroom is a testament to the hotel's meticulous attention to detail. The staff anticipated every need, the atmosphere was magical, and you could feel the passion that went into every detail. And speaking of passion, I must mention Ms. Keyrouz, one of the managers. Her delicate touch and genuine dedication to her work were evident in every interaction. Finally: LOST is a testament to what's possible when vision meets artistry.

The atmosphere of the place is nice as the interior is very charming and the location in the heart of Achrafieh. Food was ok but nothing extraordinary. Some items like the vine leaves and the kibbe are not great. The pain perdu was the only remarkable item in what we ordered. The service was good but the food took a lot of time to arrive, and we had some delay at the beginning in accommodating our table although we had booked and it was an early lunch at 12 PM.
Nour R — Google review
Mamaz Kitchen is a beautiful concept that honors Lebanese cuisine and the incredible legacy of mothers’ cooking. The menu blends traditional Lebanese dishes with a few global twists, and everything we tried was full of flavor. Their signature espresso with Arak is a must-try—bold, unique, and surprisingly good. We visited on a very busy day, and unfortunately, the service was slow. Our order wasn’t placed due to a system glitch, and we had to wait around 45 minutes before reminding the staff. That said, the manager was gracious, moved us to a better table, and the staff remained friendly throughout. We were also offered a complimentary dessert, which was a nice gesture. The portions are generous, the music and ambiance create a warm vibe, and the overall experience has enough charm to make me want to return. I look forward to trying more dishes on a quieter day.
Nada J — Google review
Let me start by saying I don't normally leave bad reviews whatsoever, it's just who I am, but I couldn't let this one slip, since my recent visit to Mamaz Kitchen was a complete letdown. While the hygiene and decor were commendable, the positives ended there. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE: 1. The burger was smelly and was undercooked despite no one having requested it 2. The kebbe 2ras was smelly 3. The muhammara harra tasted like vegan kebbe, didn't taste bad but absolutely didn't taste like muhammara 4. The hummus avocado tasted like plain lime avocado 5. The batata harra tasted ok but was not crunchy 6. The cheese rolls r2a2at tasted oily 7. The plain hummus never arrived so we had to cancel it prior to leaving the place Upon making the payment, the waiter politely asked for our feedback, and we had a good chat about it, the latter indeed passed our feedback to the manager, however, the manager’s complete indifference was shocking (waving the "I don't care" with her hand and showing utter disrespect), She didn’t even bother coming to our table to acknowledge or address the issues. This experience fell far below our expectations, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. I went back home and prepared a sandwich, this is how bad the food was.

Food less than normal. Hummus, kebbe, vine leaves could all taste better. Honestly for the money paid i expected a much better taste. The whole place is a smoking area, without windows being opened. Service very normal, we had to call three times for the menu.
Suzy G — Google review
The decoration and ambiance are really great, especially in the area near the well. However, if you don’t book in advance, you might end up at a table in the corner, far from the nice decor — it almost feels like a different place. They should definitely consider decorating that corner to match the rest of the space. The waiters were very welcoming (specially George's) and the service was good. The food was excellent, especially the Mamaz burger and the fries. That said, we visited during the soft opening, so there were a few mistakes. Notably, the tabbouleh needed much more dressing. Overall, it was a great experience. I’m giving 4 stars for now, but I’ll definitely revisit — and if the small issues are fixed, I wouldn’t hesitate to give 5 stars.
Anis M — Google review
I never expected the food to match the ambiance but it diddd soo well and money to value was on point . The food was delicious, on of the best lebanese meza that I tried in lebanon and the place was indeed so pretty. We tried multiple items: spicy tabbouleh (we asked for debes remmen because it was lacking acidity but it was really good) , mamaz kebbeh nayyeh was a 10/10 I’d go back for this, makanek were on point ( not too much spices), ousmalieh strip and fatteh eggplant with meat were also really good. One of my favorite dishes was the zucchini with fried onions . I honestly don’t have any negative feedback, It was enjoyable and we paid a total of 90$ for all of this food, it was not expensive at all

The interior was beautiful and the service was excellent. We ordered the taouk, spiced hummus, French fries, and tabbouleh. Everything was delicious except for the tabbouleh, which could use some improvement. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Nestled in a vibrant locale, Gou is not just your average eatery; it’s a delightful fusion of a restaurant, patisserie, and artisan food market that brings an international flair to brunch. With its unique "Gou morning" formula and enticing world platters featuring flavors from Norway to Switzerland and London, there's something for every palate. The menu also boasts an array of egg dishes and creative omelets that cater to diverse tastes.
Super yummy menu, cozy vibes, and the kindest team 🤍 A little hidden gem that tastes like home. Don’t miss out the Matcha ice cream, the best i’ve had !

Gou has some really cool drinks, fun, refreshing, and perfect for an afternoon coffee. It’s a busy spot with a lively vibe, so don’t expect it to be super quiet. Great place if you’re in the mood for a quick coffee and some good energy but not if you want to relax.
Let Y — Google review
The matcha itself was decent, but the overall experience felt underwhelming. The staff could have been more attentive, and while the interior is nice, it didn’t quite make up for the rest. The kimchi and seaweed sides were tasty, but the much-hyped Katsu Chicken Sandwich didn’t leave a lasting impression. It’s an okay spot, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. I would expect fresh Strawberry/Overall fruits opposed to syrups in a Matcha Bar..
Taya G — Google review
I first visited Gou a month ago for coffee and loved it, but today, the food exceeded my expectations. The shrimp sando was delicious, and the grilled halloumi with kimchi was a highlight—the best kimchi I’ve had, bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. The furikake fries paired perfectly with their homemade lemonade. To top it all off, the amazing waiter surprised us with complimentary matcha soft serve, which was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to coming back for the poke and bowls!

The atmosphere and vibes is what makes GOU nice, other than that, there isnt much. The matcha is decent, but you should add blueberry or strawberry syrup for it to actually taste good. The food is fine. The staff could be more attentive.
Chris T — Google review
OVERHYPEDDDDDDD! Let’s give credit where credit is due, the place is so nice and the atmosphere is amazing. Love the interior, love the vibe and love everything else except for that matcha!!!! I ordered strawberry matcha and it tasted soooo bad. It is called strawberry matcha so that u taste both the strawberry and the matcha. I only tasted strawberry which goes against the name of strawberry MATCHA. I told them to add matcha for me it tasted like water so I had to add sweetener to be able to drink it. It is overpriced for how it tastes saraha. But another good point is that the barista is soo good and collaborative

Café Younes, a beloved spot for artists and intellectuals since 1935, has become an iconic destination in Beirut. Despite the original café being destroyed during the Civil War, five new locations have opened to preserve its authentic charm. Often compared to the Lebanese Starbucks, Café Younes offers a roastery with freshly ground coffee and a warm ambiance filled with stories of the family's 75-year history.
Love this place! Staff are amazing, great atmosphere and service. Very good coffee ❤️

Probably I went the worst day. I asked for a vegetarian sandwich and they did not have, then for a cheese one and they did not have it either, then I asked for a Salad and nothing. After 10' they told me they had no food🤦‍♀️ the manager quite and careless and rude. I paid $10 for a dry cinnamon roll and a terrible coffee with almond milk. Moreover there was no wifi. Absolutely not worth it.
Carla H — Google review
Good coffee but what they don’t tell you is you cannot enter the building unless you work in it- which was never a problem for a few visits until one morning the rudest guy outside told us we weren’t allowed in. We simply explained we were trying to buy some coffee and support the economy but his rudeness prevailed, so we took our business elsewhere and will continue to do so from now on because we found out non-employees are not welcome. It would be nice if they mentioned this on the website or something, but here’s my warning for you.

The generous portions at Hallab 1881 are a sweet lover's dream come true, especially the heavenly halawet el jibin - every bite bursts with creamy, cheesy goodness.

Mohamad A — Google review
Your desserts are exceptional in quality and taste, but I noticed a lack of consistency in the staff’s professionalism. It feels as though friendly service depends on arbitrary factors—like whether a customer is dressed formally or appears likely to leave a tip. As someone wearing casual clothes, I experienced unwelcoming behavior, yet the same staff smiled warmly at others they deemed ‘high-status.’ This unfair treatment is disappointing, especially since tips should reflect service quality, not assumptions about a customer’s appearance or generosity. For a business of your caliber, I hope all guests receive equal respect.

A Beirut institution since 1935, this spot is a great go-to for freshly roasted coffee, tasty snacks and a leafy backyard patio that blends heritage with a calm space perfect for studying or working. Really worth a visit with a slightly similar vibe to Café Hamra, which unfortunately had to close its doors some years ago.

The place is nice and so are the products. Just a pity the waiters are more interested in watching videos on their phones than actually paying attention to the customers. Also I ordered a breakfast special that comes with coffee and I asked for tea instead and they said it was not possible. I think it would have been quite an easy fix...

Even though it’s located in Hamra, one of the busiest neighborhoods in Beirut, it’s on a calm street inside a charming old villa with a beautiful garden. Cafe Younes is one of those places you'd get addicted to. Everything is nice, the employees are very friendly, the location is beautiful .. Once you get through the door you're in another world ! And the coffee is very tasty. I tried their Wake Up Call, Hazelnut Cappuccino, Lebanese Coffee, regular Cappuccino, espresso and more. I also tried their Berries pancakes, honey and butter pancakes, granola bowl, and bagel. I also like buying their espresso beans ( they have the house blend, Colombian beans and Guatemala beans which are very nice). Long review for a great place !

Al Saha Restaurant is housed in a charming old building and is renowned for its delicious food and great hospitality. The owner's warm gesture towards a guest added to the wonderful atmosphere. Despite some mixed reviews about the food, the restaurant's amenities such as a pool, sports facilities, and massage machines are noteworthy. Its proximity to the airport is an advantage, and the friendly staff always wear welcoming smiles. The spacious outdoor seating area adds to its appeal, offering excellent food at affordable prices.
Known as one of the high end restaurants & hotels. The atmosphere is luxurious, with sunlight flooding in from the windows above. Jams and preserves are available as souvenirs. The dining experience makes it a special occasion. The service is discreet but very attentive, with the floor manager lady coming to check on the condition of the food and requests. The taste of the shawarma was very nice, especially the shawarma bread was so crispy, which was my favourite. The garlic sauce is also very well seasoned, which makes me hungry. The prices are not higher than I supposed, but it's quite reasonable considering they serve several appetites at the beginning. It's supposed to be a lot more fun when you're with lots of friends and family. # Beirut # Lebanon # Shawarma

Assaha Restaurant delivers an unforgettable Lebanese dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious — every dish is flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Definitely one of those places where you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff are very polite and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that adds to the charm of the place. The only thing that felt a bit over the top was the excessive decorative add-ons. While the original design and theme are already impressive and unique, some of the extra touches feel a little unnecessary and distract from the overall elegance. Still, a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal in a memorable setting!
Ahmad B — Google review
Al Saha is not just a restaurant—it's a visual masterpiece that you simply must experience. With its stunning architecture and authentic details, it's a sight to behold. The venue boasts spacious areas perfect for weddings and events. While the food is served well and comes at incredibly affordable prices, it may not offer the absolute best taste you can find. However, the service is exceptional, and the live food stations adds an exciting touch. You'll find a few shops offering accessories and souvenirs onsite. I highly recommend a visit to admire the architecture, but perhaps consider other options if your main focus is the food.

Beautifully designed castle-like restaurant having a special theme with the old stone interior and exterior. The food has a good taste, the ingredients are fresh, but the display can be improved. Waiters should be more nice to customers and a bit more professional. As for the atmosphere, it is too foggy and the shisha smoke fille up the whole place in an annoying way. There is no smoke free area in the whole restaurant!

Disappointing visit. The coffee cup was barely filled, and the surface had an odd oily film (see photo). The outdoor area was full of insects, and there were no fans or air circulation, making it uncomfortable in the heat. Tables were dirty and scratched. Definitely not coming back.

Another average coffee. They’ve got all the right gear to pull a great shot but it seems like staff don’t dial-in espresso properly in order to extract the right flavour. Flat white was not smooth or silky - the kind you expect from speciality. The interior decor is rustic with muted hues. A very relaxed ambiance. Good music at just the correct volume. Lots of outside seats as well. Was charged 3% extra for paying by card which is strange, doesn’t happen elsewhere

The restaurant is on the ground floor level of the hotel with a large menu filled with local delicacies. It is called Fawzi with live "layali"/nights of Fawazi with a local musician J. Shmait If I were a big eater I would have chosen the buffet aka Maza that they had which is featured at a decent price, but I stuck to my little diet of salad aka Fatoush, which could use less of the lemon juice but the locals love their lemons and I yet to taste a really good lemonade, and I had a small order of Hindbeh, a cold dish too, a vegetarian dish. A must try. Fresh and very delicious. It is worth the price which is really not bad compared to fast food delivery prices. But when you do try out the oven baked Kibbe, an absolute treat. I would skip the yoghurts sauce, but have a side order of Baba Ghanoush/Mtabal with it and a fresh green salad. Sorry to report that some waiters have issues and dire need for HR counseling and a few courses in customer relations. It is a trait restricted not exclusively to this restaurant but it is a wide spread deficiency in the Lebanese service sector. The problem is that you would hear them complain about the lack or the scarce number of tourists. Hiring the local citizens/legal residents is a great idea and a big step forward. I am in total support of it. KUDOS. More experiences to come.

Abou Abdallah is a Lebanese restaurant that has been serving authentic breakfast since 1956. Managed by a friendly family, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is quick. The menu offers typical Lebanese dishes with a twist, ensuring mouth-watering flavors and generous portions at a fair price. The staff pays attention to detail, creating a clean and pleasant dining experience.
From the outside it smells like a popular restaurant where the locals gather in a hidden corner. This is one of my theories about a good restaurant, before I try it I can smell something special and nice from the outside. In fact, the service is quite friendly and gentle, even to a stranger like me. One man explained the details of the dessert I had ordered and even prepared it in front of me before I started eating. A young lady kindly came over to ask me how I liked it. Some of the staff were busy on the floor but very attentive to each table. They seem to run a family business with a good team. The taste of the dishes is very simple but unique. As they focus on the special area like hummus where they are good at, their speciality is stronger and more specific than other restaurants. Also the special dessert, Debes bi Tahini, made of sesame and carob molasses which I had never tried before, but the taste was very thick and seemed healthy. The ambience is not very fancy, but cosy and homely. The bathroom, in particular, is very well maintained, including hand soap and paper towels. A lot of restaurants probably lack this level of hygiene, but this place has thought of every corner of the entire establishment. The prices aren't lower than in other ordinary restaurants, but given the level of quality, it's worth paying. # Beirut # Lebanon

Their eggs with awarma are highly recommended for those who can digest it, and customers have the option to order half portions. The quick service and pleasant outdoor seating make it an ideal choice for a simple yet satisfying breakfast.
Rafael — Google review

Nard Café is a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices. The shisha options are excellent, and they offer a variety of board games for entertainment, including cards, monopoly, and big-screen football viewing. Visitors also appreciate the amazing decor and antiques on display. It comes highly recommended as a really great place to visit for a chill time.
This is a great place to chill! The food is very good with fair prices Shisha is great They have different board games. You can play cards, monopoly or watch football on a huge screen. Highly recommended!

Possibly the worst experience i’ve had at a restaurant. The food took one hour and 25 minutes to be served, even though we ordered most items on their mediocre menu. One burger had a piece of hair in it. Their chicken caesar salad had no chicken in it, and we ordered 2 but they only served us one. You could count the fries in the french fries box. No regular cleanups of the table. First and last time at this place.

Nayla Beirut is a charming establishment located in the heart of Achrafieh, offering a unique blend of specialty coffee, wine bar, and concept store. Founded by Nayla Arida, who was inspired by her love for interior design and coffee during her time in London, this venue provides an exceptional dining experience coupled with a carefully curated selection of artisanal goods for sale. The menu features sophisticated dishes with a delightful mix of flavors and elegant presentation.
Found this place by accident and so glad we did! The staff is very friendly, the food was amazing and the portions are very generous We had the chicken wrap, juicy and a bit spicy with a side salad which had a very good tangly sauce And the smoked salmon avocado toast, that has 2 layers of avocados: one smashed and the other made of pieces You can switch the salad to crispy chips instead The place itself is nice to sit at - they have a games corner, a souvenir corner, and a bar The only downside is the parking

We stumbled upon this charming café while enjoying our morning walk in the area, and we're so glad we did! Nayla Café is a delightful coffee shop and bar-restaurant that hosts Friday jazz events, adding a wonderful vibe to the atmosphere. The staff here are professional, kind, and very informative, making our experience even more enjoyable. We shared a selection of small dishes: a delicious mixed greens salad, shrimp tacos, a trio of mushrooms, and Ouzo shrimp as our main dish—all paired beautifully with a fine Domain of Baal white wine. We will definitely be back for more!

Nayla is a beautiful place in the heart of Achrafieh. We went on a Friday, and there was a band performing Tarab music; it was really nice. The food is very good, but I didn't like the coconut shrimp at all, and the burger was a bit heavy. The service was great
Reem W — Google review
The atmosphere was so nice and cozy; there r board games and coloring books and pens in case you r looking for a place to chill with a cup of tea. The mini boutique present in the cafe was very aesthetically pleasing; good products such as jewelry, notebooks, tote bags, and other accessories. The food was to die for!! We went here for a breakfast; the blueberry pancakes were SUPER fluffy tasty with and without the maple syrup. The scrambled and mushroom bun was amazing as the potato bun was soft and warm while the eggs were pillowy and soft. The mushroom to egg ratio was also great and the mushrooms weren’t too overwhelming since they were cut small and well sautéed. We asked for extra bacon which was extremely good quality and crispy. Not too oily and not too greasy, well played Nayla! The matcha was very tasty and I usually find myself struggling to find good quality authentic matcha in Lebanon but when drinking matcha at Nayla’s I know that the quality and taste of my iced matcha with oat milk and white chocolate syrup is authentic and savory. The vanilla Greek yogurt was good but what stood out to me about it would probably be the bananas; the quality of the fruits was very fresh. Although there were many diners, the costumer service remained impeccable as the waiters were always alert and never failed to be of service when asked for assistance. A good place for both eating and simply chilling for afternoon tea and coffee. Would come here again.

It’s a lovely cafe, with original food, great cakes, the atmosphere is very calm, good place to have a coffee or a drink with some friends, they also have a display of products from local artists.

I had the avocado eggs toast and a latte, and it was absolutely delicious! 🥑🍳☕ The place is very calm and cosy, making it the perfect spot to relax or enjoy a quiet moment. The atmosphere was welcoming, and everything felt just right. I highly recommend this coffee shop — definitely worth a visit!

Could have been a better experience honestly speaking. I was surprised when you pay your bill and the rest ($5)was supposed to arrive to my table but I waited more than 8 mins and it didn't and the bistro was empty, so they're not busy but they have decided to tip themselves at their own decision...what a sad disappointment 😞 I will never go back again there

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Badaro, Roy's Public House exudes a charming Wild West saloon vibe with its rustic wooden tables and eclectic decor. This cozy bar is perfect for those looking to escape the bustling Mar Mikhael scene, offering a laid-back atmosphere where neatly dressed twentysomethings gather. With thoughtful touches like books and a menu featuring light bites—don't miss the delightful pizza stick—Roy's invites daytime wanderers to relax and unwind.
Super relaxed atmosphere, affordable, unsophisticated, great place to meet up with friends.

No way this hidden spot in badaro a home away from home sooo in love with the place and baguera the cat;) come enjoy a drink (their lemon citrusy honey ginger drink) soo tasty, their latte. The rocket salad with my twist addition of halloum. The staff and customers really not to be missed;)

Chillax place, cozy atmosphere, nice setup, friendly service
Toni M — Google review
Really low-key place to have a coffee or a drink. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed. Attended by youngsters/intellectuals/hipsters/anarchists. Music played here covers a wide spectrum of genre but sticks to the low-keyness of the place
Louis K — Google review
This place is among the first to have opened in Badaro before the area got swamped with pubs, restaurants and cafes. The feel of the place is pretty laid back and is often full of hipsters, artists and similar patrons. I have been there for drinks a couple of times and the service is ok and the prices are fair. If you are into this sort of crowds, you'll feel right at home. Personally I did not enjoy my visits.
Patrick C — Google review
If you're looking for chic and sophistication, don't come here. This isn't a place for designer trainers. But, if you want a no frills coffee that's strong and hot, then this IS the place for you. You'll sit on rickety foldable chairs that have definitely seen better days, enjoying the sound of a group of older gentlemen puffing on cigars and playing backgammon. They share this space with a variety of people of different ages, but one thing unites them; they're all there to enjoy their coffee, not to be seen. A refreshing change from the overpriced 'in' places. I will definitely go back again.
Sara K — Google review
I went there with some friends to grab a drink and afterwards we asked him if we can hang a poster at his restaurant politely. A guy there called "Roy" probably the owner started making fun of us and laughing and swearing to us. And told us to leave as he is not interested. An utterly unprofessional staff with no respect towards others. Shame on you a very "wozz" like owner you may call it.
