Disappointing Experience We were initially drawn to The Barn for its charming vibe in the heart of Gemayzeh Street. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment due to several issues. Cleanliness Concerns: We were given cups for water that had a strong, unpleasant odor. Although the staff replaced them with less smelly cups after we brought it to their attention, it raised concerns about the restaurant's attention to cleanliness. Food Quality 1. Chicken Caesar sour dough: My dish was enjoyable, with a good balance of flavors. 2. Steak meal: Unfortunately, my husband's steak meal was a different story. He ate nothing else that day and subsequently suffered from food poisoning, spending the evening and night feeling nauseous and vomiting. Given the unfortunate experience with food poisoning, we would strongly advise against eating steak at The Barn. The cleanliness concerns and severe food poisoning issue overshadowed the restaurant's pleasant atmosphere. We will not be returning to The Barn and would caution others to be mindful of these issues.

Friendliest and most knowledgeable staff, especially Issa gave us a walk through for a very specific thing with such meticulous care. Very careful regarding allergies or food intolerances. One of my favorite go to Cafe’s, I usually go for their Spanish latte and they have one of the best Pain Perdu with different sweet sauce options ranging from Caramel to maple syrup to chocolate. It is one of the pet friendly cafes with the most adorable and well behaved attitude, lovely staff and lively atmosphere

Those who like Cantina Sociale like it a lot, and its easy to see why. Laid back, selection of wines and a nice space. The food isnt all that special, probably best to grab a share plate of cheese and enjoy the wine.

I visited Cantina Sociale around late morning, curious to see what it was like. Coming from Mexico, I associate a cantina with tapas-style food small plates to share while enjoying a lively atmosphere. The vibe here is definitely welcoming: several tables with people chatting or working, and I chose to sit at the bar. The person who attended me was genuine and kind, and later a lady (possibly a supervisor) also stepped in with great hospitality, making sure everything was smooth. Their attentiveness left a very positive impression. Where my experience differed from my expectations was with the menu. I had imagined a tapas or cantina-style selection, but the food options were quite different a mix of various dishes, not really the small-plate sharing concept I expected. The staff kindly explained that the menu has evolved over time, which helped me understand the change. Overall, this is a nice spot with a friendly atmosphere, professional service, and good energy. Just keep in mind it’s not a tapas cantina in the traditional sense.

This place is perfect for work and studies, the atmosphere makes you want to focus, and in this situation, they have electricity when you don’t at your office. Best coffee shop in town, no questions asked. A good variety of dishes that ranges from Avocado Toast with Eggs to the aptly named Rainbow Bowl. The main asset of this place, the coffee itself is very good. The foamed milk, the syrups…everything tastes pristine. Lastly I don’t want to overlook just how friendly the staff has been, very talkative & welcoming. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the good food & friendly atmosphere makes it my go to place for hang outs, meetings, and coffee!

Charming little refuge from the hustle and bustle of Sassine and unlike anywhere else I've been in Lebanon... it's a good hangout any time of day and love the way it morphs from a healthy breakfast joint to a classy wine bar by night. I really enjoy coming to Paul Beirut. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a classic French touch that feels authentic. The food is fresh and tasty — especially the croissants and salads — and the presentation is always appealing. Prices are on the higher side, but still reasonable for the quality. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that service can sometimes be a bit slow during peak hours, and a few items on the menu could be more consistent in taste. Otherwise, it’s a lovely spot for breakfast, brunch or a coffee break.

Located in the heart of Beirut, Paul is a beautiful place to have a cozy meal with a friend or partner. Prices are a little bit high and portions a little bit small. But this is reasonable due to the location and the excellent professionalism of the staff. The food is delicious and very well presented. You have to park a little bit far as the area is very busy there.

Whatever you order you will enjoy, this place is ideal. Try the chocolate almond croissant, you may need to reserve as it sold out early in the morning. The salads and main dishes are also very popular.

If you like eggs benedict you should for sure try bartartine’s. They are perfection. We love this place. The food is consistently very good. The service is always on point. We had eggs benedict ($12) the veggie egg casserole ($10) and the red berry pancakes ($11.50). Everything was perfect. The location is beautiful and it’s perfect for a special breakfast out.

Nice atmosphere at Zaytouna bay, And Bartartine service is perfect even when they are under pressure with high traffic. As for the food Bartartine have great quality in general but what's perfect is that they have their own special plates and sweets that i suggest to try.

I've tried so many items on the menu and i'm always satisfied. Service is also nice at this branch and good atmosphere. It just tends to be crowded on weekends. Their onion soup is one of my favorite dishes of all time.

I invited guest a table of 6 on Saturday 12 june The overall was acceptable but when the bill came the big surprise they charged me for bread 4 slices , so sad because there price is not average but medium high . The catastrophe that when ordered butter which is complimentary in all international restaurants they charged me for 3 pieces more than the bread. The manager said it’s management policy. So sad very disappointing and un professional.

Very poor experience with the salad bar at mandaloun café achrafieh branch. The ingredients were not fresh and the variety is so disappointing. The hommos had crust on it with moldy green spot. When brought the waiters attention, he simple “changed” the bowl. Very few protein option; everything feels canned, no flavor no seasoning whatsoever on the ingredients and few items looked fresh. Poor value for money.

Although this is called Mandalpun Cafe...it is actually a restaurant offering a big variety of dishes and options. It is a bit expensive and in my opinion targets the high society but still if you are willing to pay for a dish a bit more than what you would pay else where then make sure to visit. They offer the best salad bard ive seen in Lebanon with a lot of choices incl balila..foul..bread..etc... all the dishes i tried were excellent. The service is also amazing and you would be taken care of. I love it and it really deserves the 5 stars. Maybe..the prices could be revisited .

If you visit one coffee shop in Beirut it should be Kalei. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. The outdoor verdant garden has abundant seating and is relaxing and peaceful to spend time in. The coffee is delicious and the food menu is substantial. Wonderful place to come and spend time.

Kalei Coffee is a great spot in Mar Mikhael for excellent coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. The beans are roasted on-site, and the brews are always rich and well prepared. The garden seating is especially nice, shaded and full of greenery, making it one of the most pleasant places to enjoy coffee in Beirut.

Abou Hassan is a great spot! The food was excellent—especially after coming back from a party at 4 AM. We ordered half the menu and ate every single bite. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you need at that hour. Highly recommended!

I craved a fool/beans plate one morning, and the food and service exceeded expectations. Twenty-four hours of operation is a plus. My taste buds prefer more lemon and mashed garlic in the fool/beans mix. For the price and nearby convenience, it was a great choice. Highly recommend.

Best Balila (hummus) I had in years. It was the real south Lebanese style with lot of cumin in the sause . I was surprised how much Kaju they put in the Fateh! All is served with Amazing salad plates (service). Very clean and great location near Hamra st. Very quick service and super professional friendly staff. I am absolutely obsessed with this café. I am American tourist visiting there, and I have come to glow paradise every single day to the past three days. First off, the staff was so incredibly friendly unhelpful. One of the servers was named Sarah and she gave me a great recommendation. Everybody else I interacted with was also very kind and helpful. This was my first time trying to coffee that was sweetened with no food and it is absolutely delicious. I literally ordered the glow coffee every single day, with oil, and the monkey sleep there, because it seriously taste like dessert and it’s only 35 Calories. I haven’t tried to move options yet, but I try to be wet, and I try to be avocado bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. I plan to come back through several more times to try some of the other items on the menu because everything looks incredibly fresh and healthy, and even the Lebanese food is delicious, I can often be very hard to be healthy. Simply amazing, I also tried one of their juices, and it had an insane labor to it. I can’t wait to come back again again.

I had lunch at The Glow Paradise in Gemmayze, and the place itself is really cute simple, minimalistic. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the portions were ridiculously small for the price you pay. The taste was good, I can’t complain about that, but the serving sizes were just too small. I’d recommend this place only if you’re looking for a light snack or a small healthy bite.

They also have an outdoor area, perfect if you love enjoying your meal while watching the lively street go by. Now, the food…it’s absolutely delicious! I tried items from the new menu today. The beef platter from the “Athletes” section was incredible. The chicken quesadillas were top-notch, and the chicken nuggets were the best I’ve ever had; not oily, perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft and tender like a patty on the inside. For dessert, the banana bread was superb! This place is a must-visit. And let’s not forget the professional, friendly, and welcoming staff; they truly make the experience even better!

Such a lovely spot — beautifully designed and perfect whether you’re grabbing coffee, a drink, or getting some work done. I worked here for several hours and honestly, they have some of the comfiest chairs and most reliable WiFi I’ve found in Beirut (plus, electricity cuts are super rare, I hope I don’t jinx it). Food-wise, it’s a healthy menu and I loved the Brekkie Burrito Wrap. Their coffee and tea are great. I’ve always enjoyed the carrot cake here and have ordered it many times, but I was disappointed during my delivery order today. The portion size was noticeably smaller than usual, which was unexpected. Even with the 25% discount, it didn’t feel like a good deal. It’s frustrating to see the quality and size go down, especially as a regular customer who knows what to expect.

Gattas Bakery was absolutely delicious! Everything was freshly made right in front of us, and the taste was just heavenly. The staff were so kind and gentle — they even offered us a free spinach pastry as a kind gesture. Truly one of those places that makes you smile from the food and the people

Don’t miss this place while you’re in Beirut. We had a manouche with za’atar, labneh with vegetables (tomato, olives and tomato). It was delicious and on point. The owner is also very friendly. It closes at 3pm so we only managed to go on our last day but we wish we went there from Day 1.

I decided to try the Caesar Deluxe Salad for a healthy dinner option. Unfortunately, the only redeeming feature was the grilled chicken on top. Beyond that, the salad was underwhelming, especially given the high price.

The staff was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience. However, I did find the prices to be a bit higher compared to other nearby places. This is the only reason I'm giving Zaatar w Zait 4 stars instead of 5. Despite this, I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in Beirut. The quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth a visit.

Trued the bliss branch yesterday for breakfast. The food was good. Citrus power was awesome👍 their doughs are special for egg wrap and manakeesh. Halloumi sticks are yummy! Great service 👍

We stopped by Zaatar w Zeit For some food, the ambience is nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. As for the food everything tasted really good I’m a fan of the Halloumi in find pan and fries with cheese. I enjoyed the eco friendly shift they are doing, they now use paper straws instead of plastic which is really nice.

After midnight craving, Zaatar w Zeit is the best option, i went to hamra branch with my friend, we ordered 🌯 The Green 🥗 Chicken Cesar Salad 🍟 Fries & Cheese - I really love the taste of Rhe Green wrap, very juicy and tasty - Cesar salad a bit small and need more Dressing, but the quality is very good - Fries and Cheese is my weakness 😍 but please make it more cheesy.

I visited Em Sherif Restaurant for lunch and was very disappointed with the overall experience. First, they only offer a barcode menu, which feels unprofessional and inconvenient — I would expect a proper printed menu, especially at a place that positions itself as premium. The atmosphere was extremely unpleasant. The restaurant was filled with heavy Shisha and cigarette smoke, making it very uncomfortable to breathe, and it was so noisy that it was difficult to enjoy the meal. The tables are crammed so closely together that there’s barely room to move, and the chairs are old, dirty, and worn out — the place really needs an upgrade. The service was equally poor. The staff placed the dishes on the table without any eye contact or hospitality, almost as if they were rushing to get rid of us. For the price they charge, I would expect professional, attentive service. The wine experience was also disappointing. The glasses were very cheap and not suitable for the quality or price of the wine we ordered. For a restaurant of this level, they should invest in proper glassware. Overall, I left with a headache from the smoke and the overall chaos. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting again — it’s not worth the time or money.

We had lunch there today with a friend. The Lebanese food was outstanding. The Meza was delicious and the barbecued meat and chicken were delicious. It was literally homemade quality and taste of superior standard. The service was equally wonderful. When it was time to pay the bill I was a bit anxious having read so much about it being overpriced. I was delighted when I saw the bill. For the quality and standard of food and for the atmosphere of the cafe I personally think it was a fair price much less than I expected. Em Sherif Cafe is highly recommended.

Well it was a disappointment. May be because of the very high expectations the trade has, it wasn't at all as expected. Although a good service, but the food was average with very small portions and the atmosphere wasn't extraordinary. Even the decoration was mediocre. Drinks are very badly done and recommended. I had jet lag so I came here at like 5am for the sunrise. I definitely recommend as it was such a surreal experience to see the breathtaking views. Love that this place is open 24hrs. Great and stunning Mediterranean sea view restaurant with great food and both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. It is perfect for celebration dinner and family gathering. All the decoration are great and beautifully furnished and you must go and have to be there during sunset. It is an unforgettable stunning sun set view in my lifetime in Beirut, Lebanon. Very bad experience. The service was terrible, and there was a lot of exploitation. The prices were extremely high compared to other restaurants, especially considering the quality of the dishes. The staff are consistently friendly and make you feel right at home. My only concern is that not all the items listed on the menu are available, which can be a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s a great place, but it would be even better with a fully stocked menu.

We went there on a Sunday morning and it was not crowded. We were planning and working and we were able to focus. The seating was relaxing and i loved the interior. The food is good and the service was great the lady was very friendly. I also liked the outdoor space at the end of the store.

Super cosy and beautiful coffee spot, we enjoyed staying there to relax and have some stuff to eat. The food is good but not insane. However the French toast are VERY good and I loved it ! The service is super kind and gentle, the location is also nice in the heart of gemmayze with a lot of nice things around. I recommend this place 100%!

Nice coffee shop . Warm ambiance to spend sometime reading a book bought from adjacent Antoine book store. They even have a large table in the center, where students can plug in their computers and do their assignments. Intellectuals are easily visible. 😅

The bar is impressively stocked with a wide selection of quality wines and spirits. The food is excellent — the bread in particular is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish I tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit spot if you appreciate great food, wine, and a unique atmosphere.

A gem in Beirut, the drinks were wonderful. People -staff and customers- were so friendly. Their bread and cheeses were just what we needed with our late night drinks.

We went to this place where the service was beyond bad — honestly, it was atrocious. The main waitress was completely unfriendly, overcharged several people, and didn’t crack a smile the entire time. She seemed not only uninterested but genuinely unhappy to be there. It makes you wonder why she’s doing this job at all. Such a shame — the place has potential, but the service ruined the experience.

I had heard that their falafel, beautifully coated in sesame and crispy and light, was popular, so I went. The quality of the falafel is very high, the hottest and freshest was served after being fried. It's clear from the owner-chef's policy that they care about local vegetables, and they take care of every ingredient. I was very impressed with the freshly baked hot bread. Unfortunately, the service wasn't too bad, but it was a little rough, for example when the kunafa dish was served a little bluntly over the table, which caused the small syrop pot to splash partially over the table, and she didn't even notice that it had happened after she put it down. The change was inadvertently returned after a long silence. I wonder if their long history sometimes makes them a little arrogant. However, the same ladies on the floor were friendly from the start, which made it all the more disappointing. The decor and atmosphere was very sophisticated and homely, and I understood that they had many regulars who loved this place. # Beirut # Lebanon

I choose fattit homous and fattit chicken for dinner, I didn't dine in but I felt that this place was perfect for breakfast with Lebanese taste. Both fatti was delicious but I preferred the chicken fatti more.

We visited this place after seeing it all over social media with impressive marketing and visuals, which really caught our attention. Unfortunately, the actual experience was quite disappointing. The food didn’t meet expectations — we experienced stomach discomfort afterward, and one of the plates even had a hair in it, which we had to ask them to replace. We went with friends to have a traditional Lebanese breakfast. It was our first time, and unfortunately, the taste was below average. Too much cumin was added, and we all felt sick after the breakfast.

Heard many times about it , today was my first meal at Falfoul, great experience, delicious varieties of Lebanese food , Foul , Hummus and all this Family of food , i tried the Foul with extra Hummus, the portion was more than average, tasty, and not too much garlic or spices in it so you can add them as you want your preferred doses, i liked the fact that i can prepare my own vegetables side dish , it's a great way to satisfy customer and minimise the waste. Prices are affordable Definitely will be back soon.

Falafel sandwich was passable, nothing to be proud of. Fooul with Laban was abysmal and with a weird after taste. Unfortunately, I was tired and hungry so I didn't have the energy to make an issue out of it, but I will not be going back. And I recommend you don't try it.

The place honestly is my go to for everything I just love it . Tried their sweets , the hot chocolate loved it , took their lily’s brekfast formula it has a lot of things for 2 and very affodable . It included : croissant, manakish , labneh plate , mixed cheese plate , butter with jam ( blackberry , strawberry and apricot) and honey , vegetables plate, eggs and 2 coffee .

On a springy day, where the taste buds are blossoming like flowers, eager to new experiences, I went to catch up with my friend over lunch on the terrace. I called earlier to reserve, and a sweet host booked me a table. Upon arriving, a professional staff with genuine smiles welcoming us and guiding us to our table. The terrace is beautifully set, a simple decoration and light touch of color. First things first, one of the tastiest bread baskets I had, and a side of olive and walnuts tapenade. What I loved the most was the professionalism of our waiter Houssam; besides being knowledgeable of the menu, he was very helpful in the modifications we requested in our order. We had: Regular garden salad, that was not on the menu, yet was prepared to us Grilled salmon salad with raspberry vinaigrette: generous bunch of greens topped with the flaky salmon strips, the flavors marrying perfectly together; recommended dish. Not a fan of avocado, I requested additional veggies on the side and was not deceived! Shrimp orzo: a lightened version of risotto, aldente with a tomato sauce and crowned with shrimps with basil. Chef you are very creative! A highly recommended restaurant with reasonable prices and lovely service.

Faysal is famous for his special ftayer bi sbenigh, and they were absolutely amazing. The fact that it’s a 24/7 spot makes it perfect for anyone craving a bite after a night out. That said, I was honestly shocked by the price it was extremely expensive for a snack. The food was really good, but the cost was definitely surprising.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Faisal's Best Fatayer in Town," and I must say, it truly lives up to its name! The fatayer here is simply unmatched, boasting a perfect balance of crispiness, flavor, labne dip on the side and fresh vegetables. Each bite is a delightful combination of fresh ingredients and expertly crafted dough that leaves you craving more. Highly recommended for all food lovers out there!

The Fatayer Spinach with Dibs elremen is quite something there. Definitely something to try. We ordered a lot of different bites to try a maximum of items. They are all interesting and tasty. They have classic snack and original ones that I never tried before. The place can be crowded (next to a University) so try to avoid busy hours. The surrounding are lively but I wouldn’t say charming. You should go there for their snacks, it is a must to try!

As always bartartine is the best place for breakfast . But this time the egg hollandaise was a bit disappointing, it came cold and flavorless. One of the best Lebanese restaurants with an international menu that caters for all taste buds. I respect that they didn’t change the quality and the portions. The menu is always updated and the tastes are super. Staff are always super welcoming and friendly.

All branches of Bartartine offer a great selection of dishes, fresh ingredients, unique flavors, and fast service. The branch at Restos St. Nicolas is easily accessible and suitable for family seating. If you’re looking for a light eat with enough proteins and greens, I highly recommend the Asian chicken noodles. I recently tried the seared tuna wasabi tartine, which was very tasty. They also serve a lovely variety of cocktails, though if you want non-alcoholic drinks, their orange juice is fresh, and mint lemonade is very refreshing.

This Restaurant came highly recommended. The physical space is neat, clean and appealing. The food presentation is well done. The service is excellent. The quality of the products used are fresh and well presented. I ordered the special foul the Manoushi with fresh zaatar and the Bulgarian cheese dish. Pictures will be attached. My comment on the dishes that I had is there were so many contradictory tastes in the food that it lost a lot of its original expected taste. As an example, the Manoushi. had so much pomegranate molasses drizzled on it that it over powered the taste of the zaatar and also made the Manoushi soggy. The foul taste is also lost with all the condiments that are on top. The simplicity of this traditional food is lost in this chefs interpretation. I will not comment on the other dishes because I did not try them. I am sure that if we had made other choices we might have been more pleased.

The mankushe tasted overdone, dry, and lacked seasoning. Pesto mankushe had an overpowering, artificial taste. Jebne and zaatar mankushe aren’t the best quality of i gredients, missing the traditional flavors. The mini bites were disappointingly basic and left much to be desired. Overall, a Meh experience. 🫤

I honestly did not expect the pastries to taste as good as they looked, It was a very pleasant experience, I think I went there like 4 times. The tarts were very good the shells were flaky and well baked. The end result was very delicious and balanced tarts. The orange financier were delicious. Also try the classic combo that never disappoints, fondant au chocolat and vanilla ice-cream. My favorite tart was the peach and rose petals one. Thanks as well the staff who are lively and very friendly, especially the charming lady at the counter.

Great patisserie with an awesome chef ! We tasted the ice creams created by Chef Samer and it was tasty. The shop is super clean and well managed. All the team is very friendly. I am more of a sorbet fan but if you like to eat high quality ice creams in summer you can definitely count on the caramel beurre salé, the vanilla and the bounty ice cream they make here. I definitely want yo try the pastries bcz it looked amazing. Each scoop of ice cream is 2$

Overall we enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Check-in staff is amazing! We arrived there and my kids were exhausted from the flight. After checking-in the receptionist was so sweet with my three year old daughter, entertaining her while showing us to the waiting area. The room is great, location wonderful, and food delicious. My two complaints: the waiting time for food and the concierge desk confused my airport transportation twice. That said, I don’t have the heart to mark them down because the receptionist was awesome!

Went there to pick up an item which happened to be in lost and found. The (maybe) efficient but not human procedure took 52 minutes. And I got a parking ticket. Flowers in the lobby are nice. Smart way to slash budgets :)

The pool area at this hotel is undeniably beautiful — the aesthetic is on point, with a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for a day of lounging. Unfortunately, the experience was brought down by the service. The reception staff were surprisingly rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone from the start. Additionally, the staff at the pool bar seemed unfamiliar with the drinks they were serving and couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. It's a shame, because the ambiance really had potential. With better-trained and more professional staff, this could easily be a five-star spot.

This hotel has a fun, unique vibe with its superhero theme. Rooms are clean, and the staff especially Maya and Ala’ at the front desk were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with bookings. The pool is also clean and has a nice atmosphere. The only downside: charging $10 a night for parking even for guests, which doesn’t really make sense.

It’s o-k — but I found it very strange that you’re not allowed to bring any food from outside into the hotel to your room (thus forcing you to order room service, felt a bit like a cinema forcing you to buy from the lobby). They also charge for the nespresso capsules — I saw it said “$3” and assumed that meant for extra! Never in my life have I stayed in a supposedly 5* hotel where they charge for Nespresso in your room! Staff are friendly. These comments are for management who need to bring their policies in line with other 5* hotels if they want to keep charging at this level. Rooms are big (provided you get a deluxe)

What a lovely experience that is! My first time in Lebanon, it's the second day of Ramadan, and what a beautiful day it is. I had the pleasure of joining the crowd seeking safsouf, for seemingly everything they serve, and it was such a vivid and lively feeling. Their sweets are so original and authentic in every aspect: the exquisite sweets themselves, their appearance and shape, the portion size, how they're served, cut, and packed, and most importantly, the taste. They truly serve some of the best sweets I have tried, especially with qishtah baladi (local fresh cream), which is so different from the packed cream sold in supermarkets. They have some of the best Mamoul I have tried. The pistachio and walnut versions were truly exceptional. The size was perfect – one piece was satisfying – and the texture of the filling had the right level of softness and quality, cooked almost to perfection. They serve many items, including a special menu throughout Ramadan. Besides Baklawa, Konafa, and Mamoul, they have a very popular item called Mamoul md, which loosely translates to flattened Mamoul. It's a star, a beauty, mouth-watering, and as they fancily put it, savoury – but simply, it's a delightful bite of sweet. They offer different types: dates, walnuts, pistachio, and one that has a layer of qishtah filling in-between two layers of pistachio paste – an excellent treat! I was attended by an exquisite gentleman, and when I inquired about his name, the rest of the team replied, "This is moalem Omar, he's the owner." I was genuinely pleased by his humility and dedication, and how meticulous he was in arranging my order packaging as I was taking it abroad. They also serve Mafroukeh, a very special dish made of two layers of pistachio paste separated by qishtah baladi. I wanted to purchase some, but Mr. Omar asked about my flight time (late at night). He advised against packing it for Jordan, explaining that it needed to be kept refrigerated until just before my flight, which wouldn't be possible for me, as it might spoil due to the fresh cream. He truly cares. Even in the midst of a rush hour, his attention to such details elevated the whole experience for me. It was no longer just a client receiving the best possible service; I felt more like a friend or a relative being advised by such a humble and genuine gentleman. I did buy a plate just to taste after iftar, and even though I didn't eat it then, it did make its way to Jordan! Being attended by one of the owners and witnessing his dedication, along with the entire team commitment, simply added to the almost perfect experience. This is only the second time I've felt truly compelled to award a 5-star rating (the first being for a memorable seafood restaurant in Hamburg), and it's a testament to their exceptional quality and service. Thank you for being so committed, for maintaining authenticity and quality, and for serving such exquisite sweets. I wish you all the best, and Inshallah, I look forward to the next opportunity to visit again.

Amazing sweets. This was sent to Australia and it was still as fresh and delicious. Ma3mol mad b’ashta was simply delicious and it was still fresh after it arrived. The namura is also great, i wish they had namura b’ashta available. Baklava wasn’t the best. Flavour was there but the size is a bit big for what it should be. Worth the calories 💯✅

I recently ordered trays for my aunts, and both the taste and freshness were outstanding. The staff are respectful, efficient, and welcoming. Even when I had to wait for a fresh batch of shuaibiyat, they remembered me right away and delivered the tray with a smile. It’s this mix of tradition, quality, and genuine hospitality that makes Safsouf special. A place worth supporting and keeping strong for years to come.

the taste was below expectations, does not taste like knefeh...this one has no taste but sugar...low quality material no cheese in the taste....also you wait in line to get nada nothing zilch rien walachi...cheap for a tiny kaake...so might be filling...no atmoshere, slow service...and taste below average.

Kissproof is great for drinks and chats. The service is excellent super friendly and their London Fashion is amazing. I do not recommend the food however. Very poor quality ingredients and very restricted menu.

The burger was absolutely raw when we bit into it. When we reported this we were told that if they cooked it any further it would burn, but the patty was raw. They took them back and returned with the half bitten burgers the same way as they were. The cocktails were very badly made, never going back.

Nice and cool place to chill after work, or to get wasted with a reasonable budget. I have been yesterday, it was very crowded and people were enjoying their time. I had a sandwich of sausages, was fulfilling and tasty. Definitly recommended

I wouldn’t really call this a breakfast spot, since their menu is more about fatte, foul, balila, hummus, and eggs, which they serve all morning and into lunchtime. But one thing is for sure, the name Le Professeur couldn’t be more fitting. Once you’ve tasted their food, you’ll see that these guys are absolute pros at what they do. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot on, and the service is just as warm and welcoming. You instantly feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. That being said, the only real downside is the cleanliness 😬 especially behind the counter, in the kitchen, and up in the prep area. It doesn’t take away from how good the food is, but it’s something you’ll definitely notice. So if you’re picky about spotless kitchens, then this might not be your cup of tea, even though the food itself is absolutely fantastic.

Awesome Lebanese breakfast place. We got several items off the menu including the fettah, the msoubaha, the hummus with lahme, etc. The food was great, the service was excellent. Giving 4 stars only because it’s not the best breakfast I’ve had in Lebanon and the seating options are quite limited. Definitely a spot worth checking out, and I’ll be back!!

Great hotel with great service. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. They all spoke excellent French and English. The view from our room was gorgeous. There was traffic outside but the noise isolation was so good, we didn't hear anything. The breakfast at the top floor was excellent. Overall great experience. Definitely worth coming back.

Beautiful view! We were excited to stay here after a terrible experience at the grand hotel Beirut. We were greeted by the friendly reception who kindly let us check in early and even gave us an extra room upgrade at no cost! He was very friendly and even had wonderful suggestions as to what to do in the city. We asked for some ice to be brought up to the room and were happily surprised when they were accompanied with fresh juice as well as a plate of sandwiches! The intercontinental never lets me down but of all of the locations I've stayed at this is by far one of the best experiences I've received. :)

The ambience is really nice, I love the red theme they went with. The staff is friendly and professional. As for the food everything tastes really good. The duck it’s a must try one of the best I’ve had, the pain perdu is equally impressive. They have really tasty mussels as well if you are a fan.

I have been to this cafe several times. They have the best Pain Perdu (French toast aka bread pudding) in Beirut. Pricing is OK, and you can easily find parking at the mall. The service can be a little slow sometimes, and it can be challenge to get the attention of someone.

The place looks nice and the food tasted good... that’s the positive. The negative is the service, as soon as you get your food... you are on your own until you’re done. What’s worse is that you don’t get what you order... I ordered the burger medium well, with no onions and no mustard. My burger was well-done, with onions and mustard, which just ruined my whole experience. I would have recommended the place if the staff actually knew what they were doing, but personally food taste is not a good reason for me to come back if I don’t get a nice treatment or get my food the way I was promised. I wouldn’t come back.

It really deserves more than 5 stars! The service is extremely professional, you would be really feeling as a VIP! The staff are really helpful and friendly. The manager did visit our table and when we were about to leave he also came to thank us! The food was exquisite, not a single bad thing to mention! Many choices, all in a very good setting and so fresh, especially the sushi and salmon sashimi, the yummiest! As for the desserts, the choice is endless, i love the mix between lebanese oriental and international tastes. All in all, the price is really good for the international buffet, the rip off comes with the drinks as they are extremely expensive. I would recommend Mosaic for sure!!!

I took my mom for an early birthday celebration and the experience was magical. We finally got the chance to try their breakfast buffet. The options were varied, and the food was delicious. Both mom and I enjoyed our time at the restaurant. The service was top notch! Mr. Naji, the manager, made us feel very welcomed, remembering our names, and answering our questions. The famous Chef Hicham Farhat will amaze you with a Buffet of Lebanese food like you have never tasted it before. First, we were welcomed and escorted to our table beautifully set. Expect to find different age ranges, from families, to young and old couples; there was even a wedding on the other side of the restaurant! On the facing stage, a band playing and a singer with her smooth voice singing oldies making an enjoyable ambiance. A belly dancer showed up later too! Now from where to start to talk about the feast we were offered? Chef Hicham was very keen to make the experience unforgettable. Starting with  a live demonsatrtion of the tastiest frake jnoubie! Chef in Action First things first: salad bar so appealing with all fresh seasonal ingredients, other mixed salads such as Fattoush and Tabbouli and another selection of seafood ones. There is a fatte and foul station to cater your taste. The mezze, every kind you can imagine and more new items such as carrot and beetroot mtabbal:) And oh the zahlawee mtabbal my first (what a shame for a Bekaee lady:P). And the basterma millefeuille such an innovative recipe. We tried the different kibbe made by the chef: meat, chicken and fish (last one my favorite with caramelized onions), and the tajine so light and perfectly cooked. The feast has to be ended with the sweetest note: a spread of oriental and wetsern desserts to cater every taste. So overall, besides gaining at elast 2 kgs after this eve:P, an amzing experience to be repeated! Bonus was the fortune teller who promised good events on the way, let's wait and see!

What really makes it stand out is the friendly and welcoming service from the manager, Mr Naja Aoun, down to the chefs, waitresses, and everyone else. While it is on the pricier side, the quality, ambiance, and overall experience make it well worth the investment. Not a good experience! We went on Easter Sunday, the tables were too close to each other and a table of 8 was given for 10 people. Basically we couldn't move our chairs to go to buffet. The service was terrible, we had to ask several times to get something. As for the buffet, the taste was ok but food platters were not being replaced, for example the paella had no fish, sushi was very limited, we had to wait like 20 min to get soya… no fruits… It is nothing compared to what it was in the old days.

Went there for the salmon and shrimp buffet and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The variety is huge, the freshness is outstanding, and the taste is amazing. The creativity with the food was insane — you can even find salmon tacos or salmon shawarma. The dessert selection was also big and so delicious. Highly recommended!

Today, we visited Hallab 1881 - Sin el fil Branch for the first time and indulged in a delightful Royal breakfast. We savored a delicious spread, including Haloum mechwe, plate of Labneh, Fateh msa2es2a, Hommous bethine with awarma, Lahme baajin, and concluded with knefe and the Arabic sweet, “wardet l cham.” The experience was fantastic – the food was not only scrumptious and clean, but the staff was also friendly. The taste of every dish was simply amazing. Our bill came to $40 for three people. Highly recommend!

The mafrouke with Pistachio is tasty as well and not sweet at all. Everything seems tasty but for sure you are not able to try everything. People are attentive and friendly there. Bad experience! First we waited more than half an hour to get our vegan croissants! Said its gonna be baked freshly so that sounded good! Turned out not delicious at all and on top of all we found a hair in the zaatar croissant we threw them all! Never going there again ! I bet their factory doesnt have any hygiene standards at all 🤮

I am a regular to Hallab outlets across Lebanon and really do love what they offer. Today unfortunately was a real disappointment. We ordered breakfast and really from the onset the whole experience was a let down, from demotivated staff, to dirty cutlery and then the food. The food was really not to the Hallab standard. We spoke to the staff and requested they take the food away barely eaten. The manager tried to offer us some sweets as a means of making a mends. However, there really wasn't any going back from the lack of cleanliness and really shocking taste of the food. This branch clearly has some issues judging by other recent reviews. I walked away thinking what did I just pay for. It was a complete waste of money.

I really like this place. At first i thought the look from outside was a bit too bright for this street but then i tried it and might have judged the book by its cover! Great service, delicious cocktails and the experience was very smooth and relaxing! Every Monday they create a new cocktail and they call it cocktail of the week. It is usually delicious! Prices are fair. Heard it's not the place where you eat if you're hungry, because of the small portions. But i've tried the food and it's good, and it's not too small of a portion and not too large, just a fair quantity as a snack. You can even order sweets from the next door called Sift. Sat there at night and also once during the day, couldn't be more relaxed! Recommended.

The Place is nice, a little bit hidden in Ashrafieh. They have an indoor and outdoor. Typically a coffeeshop more than a restaurant. The service is friendly and quick. The menu is limited and you may not find some dishes. Portions are very small and not fair compared to prices but food has good quality and fresh ingredients and the taste is good as well. recently visited Agora Beirut for their open brunch and had an absolutely wonderful time. We shared a variety of dishes including the Burrata Beetroot Bagel, Salmon Bagel, Avocado Bagel, Georgian Khachapouri, Zaatar Burrata Knot, Agora’s Shakshouka, and Fluffy Pancakes. Every dish came in generous portions and was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that truly stood out. On top of that, our server Raefa provided exceptional customer service—very attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A very nice new spot in achrafieh. Nestled in an old lebanese apartement. The menu is varied and deserves several visits to try the star items. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is well presented.

The food is really good. The service are super nice. The ambiance is good. The interior and decoration are super aesthetic. The most important thing, they have kids room. So kids also can play while parent enjoy eating. Not many restaurants in Beirut are kids friendly. The only thing, the price is not so cheap :) which understandable because this is Beirut. So, i will recommend others to come and try this restaurant.

AGORA is THE secret garden in Achrafieh we all should know about. Beautifully relaxing atmosphere for a coffee and more. We are frequent returner and never disappointed. Maybe the evening menu for food & wine can be improved to a more exciting level, to attract a wider range of guests

The atmosphere of the place is nice as the interior is very charming and the location in the heart of Achrafieh. Food was ok but nothing extraordinary. Some items like the vine leaves and the kibbe are not great. The pain perdu was the only remarkable item in what we ordered. The service was good but the food took a lot of time to arrive, and we had some delay at the beginning in accommodating our table although we had booked and it was an early lunch at 12 PM.

Mamaz Kitchen is a beautiful concept that honors Lebanese cuisine and the incredible legacy of mothers’ cooking. The menu blends traditional Lebanese dishes with a few global twists, and everything we tried was full of flavor. Their signature espresso with Arak is a must-try—bold, unique, and surprisingly good. We visited on a very busy day, and unfortunately, the service was slow. Our order wasn’t placed due to a system glitch, and we had to wait around 45 minutes before reminding the staff. That said, the manager was gracious, moved us to a better table, and the staff remained friendly throughout. We were also offered a complimentary dessert, which was a nice gesture. The portions are generous, the music and ambiance create a warm vibe, and the overall experience has enough charm to make me want to return. I look forward to trying more dishes on a quieter day.

While the hygiene and decor were commendable, the positives ended there. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE: 1. The burger was smelly and was undercooked despite no one having requested it 2. The kebbe 2ras was smelly 3. The muhammara harra tasted like vegan kebbe, didn't taste bad but absolutely didn't taste like muhammara 4. The hummus avocado tasted like plain lime avocado 5. The batata harra tasted ok but was not crunchy 6. The cheese rolls r2a2at tasted oily 7. The plain hummus never arrived so we had to cancel it prior to leaving the place Upon making the payment, the waiter politely asked for our feedback, and we had a good chat about it, the latter indeed passed our feedback to the manager, however, the manager’s complete indifference was shocking (waving the "I don't care" with her hand and showing utter disrespect), She didn’t even bother coming to our table to acknowledge or address the issues. This experience fell far below our expectations, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. I went back home and prepared a sandwich, this is how bad the food was.

The food was excellent, especially the Mamaz burger and the fries. That said, we visited during the soft opening, so there were a few mistakes. Notably, the tabbouleh needed much more dressing. Overall, it was a great experience. I’m giving 4 stars for now, but I’ll definitely revisit — and if the small issues are fixed, I wouldn’t hesitate to give 5 stars.

I never expected the food to match the ambiance but it diddd soo well and money to value was on point . The food was delicious, on of the best lebanese meza that I tried in lebanon and the place was indeed so pretty. We tried multiple items: spicy tabbouleh (we asked for debes remmen because it was lacking acidity but it was really good) , mamaz kebbeh nayyeh was a 10/10 I’d go back for this, makanek were on point ( not too much spices), ousmalieh strip and fatteh eggplant with meat were also really good. One of my favorite dishes was the zucchini with fried onions . I honestly don’t have any negative feedback, It was enjoyable and we paid a total of 90$ for all of this food, it was not expensive at all

I first visited Gou a month ago for coffee and loved it, but today, the food exceeded my expectations. The shrimp sando was delicious, and the grilled halloumi with kimchi was a highlight—the best kimchi I’ve had, bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. The furikake fries paired perfectly with their homemade lemonade. To top it all off, the amazing waiter surprised us with complimentary matcha soft serve, which was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to coming back for the poke and bowls!

Probably I went the worst day. I asked for a vegetarian sandwich and they did not have, then for a cheese one and they did not have it either, then I asked for a Salad and nothing. After 10' they told me they had no food🤦‍♀️ the manager quite and careless and rude. I paid $10 for a dry cinnamon roll and a terrible coffee with almond milk. Moreover there was no wifi. Absolutely not worth it.

Good coffee but what they don’t tell you is you cannot enter the building unless you work in it- which was never a problem for a few visits until one morning the rudest guy outside told us we weren’t allowed in. We simply explained we were trying to buy some coffee and support the economy but his rudeness prevailed, so we took our business elsewhere and will continue to do so from now on because we found out non-employees are not welcome. It would be nice if they mentioned this on the website or something, but here’s my warning for you.

A Beirut institution since 1935, this spot is a great go-to for freshly roasted coffee, tasty snacks and a leafy backyard patio that blends heritage with a calm space perfect for studying or working. Really worth a visit with a slightly similar vibe to Café Hamra, which unfortunately had to close its doors some years ago.

The place is nice and so are the products. Just a pity the waiters are more interested in watching videos on their phones than actually paying attention to the customers. Also I ordered a breakfast special that comes with coffee and I asked for tea instead and they said it was not possible. I think it would have been quite an easy fix...

This place became one of my favorite coffee shops to work from. Even though it’s located in Hamra, one of the busiest neighborhoods in Beirut, it’s on a calm street inside a charming old villa with a beautiful garden. You would never guess you’re in the middle of Beirut. They serve great coffee and tasty eggs with a fresh, delicious side salad. Highly recommended!

Amazing coffee, friendly staff and cozy place

Cafe Younes is one of those places you'd get addicted to. Everything is nice, the employees are very friendly, the location is beautiful .. Once you get through the door you're in another world ! And the coffee is very tasty. I tried their Wake Up Call, Hazelnut Cappuccino, Lebanese Coffee, regular Cappuccino, espresso and more. I also tried their Berries pancakes, honey and butter pancakes, granola bowl, and bagel. I also like buying their espresso beans ( they have the house blend, Colombian beans and Guatemala beans which are very nice). Long review for a great place !

Well, you’ll be surprised about the location. It is in the middle of Hamra area. Renovated house in the district and there is a room for chilling with AC in it, other room for studying which has electric plugs and there is the wonderful garden, just an amazing one. The place also sells coffee beans, grounded coffee and cups and utensils. The coffee was amazing though, really professional.

Assaha Restaurant delivers an unforgettable Lebanese dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious — every dish is flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Definitely one of those places where you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff are very polite and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that adds to the charm of the place. The only thing that felt a bit over the top was the excessive decorative add-ons. While the original design and theme are already impressive and unique, some of the extra touches feel a little unnecessary and distract from the overall elegance. Still, a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal in a memorable setting!

Al Saha is not just a restaurant—it's a visual masterpiece that you simply must experience. With its stunning architecture and authentic details, it's a sight to behold. The venue boasts spacious areas perfect for weddings and events. While the food is served well and comes at incredibly affordable prices, it may not offer the absolute best taste you can find. However, the service is exceptional, and the live food stations adds an exciting touch. You'll find a few shops offering accessories and souvenirs onsite. I highly recommend a visit to admire the architecture, but perhaps consider other options if your main focus is the food.

One of the best restaurants ,its location near airport gives it advantage . Team are so friendly with a nice smile all over the time .food is delicious , cooked very well with great form and so clean. So wide variety of options . Iftar option is equivalent to its price with a wide range of appetizers and meal beside fruits and sweet (around 30$) except sunday

Beautifully designed castle-like restaurant having a special theme with the old stone interior and exterior. The food has a good taste, the ingredients are fresh, but the display can be improved. Waiters should be more nice to customers and a bit more professional. As for the atmosphere, it is too foggy and the shisha smoke fille up the whole place in an annoying way. There is no smoke free area in the whole restaurant!

I don't like food there. Not even the slightest. Am giving it 3 stars because the pool there is quite awesome. They have sport and message machines. Edit: 4 stars. After a few years i tried again the pizza. It appeared to be quite delicious and catchy.

The best experience for this summer. I visited before rush hours. At 2 pm, the sheesh and farroush meshwi were thw best dish I tasted all over Lebanese restaurants this summer. The appeteizers were great. Although the hummus and xheese rolls were average. Thumbs up for ALSahha

A special restaurant with good food and Deseret plus a good services from the team work on. A music to relax and enjoying your meal. A part from the village of saha u can find a swimming pool and a gym plus a spa to relax and table to eat your meal and smoke a chicha with the nature and sound of water. Plus if anyone need a place for his wedding u can find great services and idea in this place. Really an amazing place and every one need to try.

Disappointing visit. The coffee cup was barely filled, and the surface had an odd oily film (see photo). The outdoor area was full of insects, and there were no fans or air circulation, making it uncomfortable in the heat. Tables were dirty and scratched. Definitely not coming back.

SIP is one of the best specialty coffee spots in Beirut – cozy, welcoming, and always serving great coffee. Whether you’re grabbing a quick espresso or settling in with a pour-over, it delivers every time. Big shoutout to Hasan and Mohamed – skilled baristas and genuinely great people. Their passion for coffee and friendly vibe make the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in the area – and honestly, it’s worth going out of your way for.

Another average coffee. They’ve got all the right gear to pull a great shot but it seems like staff don’t dial-in espresso properly in order to extract the right flavour. Flat white was not smooth or silky - the kind you expect from speciality. The interior decor is rustic with muted hues. A very relaxed ambiance. Good music at just the correct volume. Lots of outside seats as well. Was charged 3% extra for paying by card which is strange, doesn’t happen elsewhere

I love sip! From the friendly staff to the great drinks. The interior is great, old Lebanese tiles, original walls of the traditional building, high ceiling with glass opening in the middle that lets in sun light. The way the espresso machine is placed is the way I love it, so the barista doesn’t give you his/her back! Great coffee, amazing carrot cake!!! I love the vibes at sip, I go work, have some good coffee enjoy the vibes!

The restaurant is on the ground floor level of the hotel with a large menu filled with local delicacies. It is called Fawzi with live "layali"/nights of Fawazi with a local musician J. Shmait If I were a big eater I would have chosen the buffet aka Maza that they had which is featured at a decent price, but I stuck to my little diet of salad aka Fatoush, which could use less of the lemon juice but the locals love their lemons and I yet to taste a really good lemonade, and I had a small order of Hindbeh, a cold dish too, a vegetarian dish. A must try. Fresh and very delicious. It is worth the price which is really not bad compared to fast food delivery prices. But when you do try out the oven baked Kibbe, an absolute treat. I would skip the yoghurts sauce, but have a side order of Baba Ghanoush/Mtabal with it and a fresh green salad. Sorry to report that some waiters have issues and dire need for HR counseling and a few courses in customer relations. It is a trait restricted not exclusively to this restaurant but it is a wide spread deficiency in the Lebanese service sector. The problem is that you would hear them complain about the lack or the scarce number of tourists. Hiring the local citizens/legal residents is a great idea and a big step forward. I am in total support of it. KUDOS. More experiences to come.

An amazing place for studying/ meeting or to chill in a cozy & feel at home place! The music is really relaxing and can help you focus while studying! Board games are also available there along with a library area and a meeting/ skype room!

B.Hive is a personal favorite! It’s perhaps the best café in Beirut (and possibly Lebanon) to study, work remotely, or meet with colleagues. The staff consists of great people, and they serve delicious hot drinks and tasty cakes. They have speedy wifi (fiber optics), and they charge 5000 lira for 2 hours of use which is an excellent offer for those who need to do concentrated work with a stable connection. They also accept crypto payments.

Excellent place for meeting, playing board games and studying, the internet is fast although not free, yet the price is almost nothing. The desserts and drinks are good and cheap, the waiters are fine not bad and not too friendly. You can sit indoor or outdoor and there's a special quiet room for studying which makes this place even better for students...Board games are also available.
