Cafe
Cocktail bar
SKØG Urban Hub in Brno is a trendy spot with bright, minimalist Scandi-inspired interiors and top-notch service. The cafe offers gourmet coffees from local roasters, as well as expertly crafted cocktails. Their limited daily menu includes plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, along with delectable cakes for those with a sweet tooth. It's a favorite among hipsters and vegans, known for its inviting atmosphere, indie music, and delectable food offerings.
The best breakfast I had in Czech. Lovely cafe, serving classics with a culinary twist. The focaccia was delicious (and vegan) the scrambled egg is also a safe bet. Nice staff, nice venue and outdoor seating on a fairly quiet street.
Markus L — Google review
I like the atmosphere although their musics are a bit too loud sometimes, making it hard to have conversations indoor. The outdoor seating is great when the weather is warm. No wifi. But saw some people working with laptops. The cafe prohibits working after 6pm and on weekends though. Food and drinks are mid and they serve vegetarian. And in the evening they turn to be a kind of bar.
Nadya L — Google review
I stopped by Brno just for a short visit and found this place completely by chance - and I’m so glad I chose it for breakfast. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the location is convenient right in the city center, yet surprisingly calm and not too crowded. The service was excellent, and the breakfast I ordered was absolutely delicious. I had the frittata open sandwich, which amazed me with its unique combination of flavors. I had never tried anything like it before, and I really loved it. I can highly recommend Skog to anyone visiting Brno.
Liubov S — Google review
Skøg really surprised me — I honestly walked in with low expectations and walked out absolutely amazed! 🌿 The decoration is stylish yet cozy, with lovely little touches like tiny plants on every table that make the whole space feel alive. Free tap water (a rare gem!), super professional and kind staff, and an atmosphere that’s just pure good vibes with great music in the background. Food-wise, the scrambled eggs with whipped butter on the side were a dream — simple but elevated, and so tasty. Honestly, this place nails it on every level: design, service, music, and food. Definitely one of the best spots in Brno. Highly recommended!
Nawras A — Google review
Super yummy seasonal piña colada matcha, and delicious clean food for lunch as well (we had a tempeh bbq wrap & the egg fried bread from the brunch menu). Majority of options are veggie or vegan. It’s a cute and relaxed environment for a work cafe, too, but keep in mind that the floorboards are squeaky if you’re someone who gets distracted by noises.
Alice K — Google review
One of my favourite spots in the city. I came back to Brno after a few years with my international friends and had to take them here of course. We went for brunch on Saturday, the place started filling up only when we were leaving but still wasn’t giving a crowded vibe. If you want a proper coffee the baristas here won’t disappoint you. I had a flat white and it was amazing. The brunch options might be a bit limited, nevertheless the food I ordered was absolutely delicious, great combination of ingredients. The staff was very friendly and quick. Overall the place has a great style and it’s very enjoyable to sit in. Frankly can’t wait to come back.
Dominika V — Google review
It is definitely now my favorite places in the city. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and stylish – ideal for both catching up with friends or working solo with a good cup of coffee or a cocktail. Their piña colada matcha is top-notch, and the baristas really know their stuff. I want you to make more matcha drinks!!!!!🫶🏼 The brunch menu is available until 2pm. In the evening you can grab a sandwich. When you hear “a sandwich”, you expect some supermarket-bought toasted sandwich. But not here. The freshly baked crunchy bread is just mmmmm🫠 Bonus points for the plants, minimalist decor, and overall great vibe. 10/10 🫰🏼
Ksana — Google review
An atmospheric cafe in the city centre with nice staff. We tried cocoa, chai latte and panna cotta and all of it was delicious. Only sidenote is that the cafe tends to get very full and quite noisy. Usage of laptops is prohibited at the weekends and also when it switches into a bar (from 7 pm on weekdays).

Nestled at the base of the majestic Spilberk Castle, Cafe Podnebi is a popular spot for locals and students. The cafe offers a changing daily soup selection and a variety of healthy breakfast options until late morning on weekdays and noon on weekends. Its modern yet simple interior features square tables, chairs, and black ornaments, but the best seats are outdoors with views of the castle's park.
One of my favourite places in Brno during nice spring/summer months. Very nice sitting area outside especially in hot summers. Nice options for breakfast and fair prices. Sometimes longer waits. Recommendations!
Sara L — Google review
The café has both indoor and outdoor seatings. Nice to sit outside in the fall. The breakfast portion is huge and makes you quite full. Among the items we ordered,I like the hot chocolate the most. It is creamy, thick and not too sweet. The banana pancake with fresh apples and Whipped Cream is good. Another toasted bread with avacado, cream cheese, egg, and crudo, the avacado has a bit brown that is a minus. The taste of this one is standard.
Nomad A — Google review
Beautiful cafe for brunch and lunch with generous portions and reasonable prices. I had the Czech cheese and bacon crepe and it was amazing!
Charlotte M — Google review
Really beautiful place, so cozy and cute. The staff was super nice too, very helpful, took our order outside even though it was very cold. I had the hot chocolate, the caramel one, and as someone who loves chocolate I have to say this might've been the best I've ever had! Kudos to you ❤️
Terror ( — Google review
Called here for brunch on a recommendation. We wanted to sit at a table outside in the shaded garden so had a very short wait but other locals very conversational with us as they left which reflected the friendly and laidback tone. Ordered brunch and got generous portions. The chocolate on the pancakes was rich. Coffee was good - all in all a great place.
Danny C — Google review
Honestly, this is the best café in Brno so far and I'm glad I chose to have brunch at this place! I wasn't sure if I was at the right place when I saw the entrance, but voila! The vibe is amazing and cozy. They even have blankets for you in case you feel cold. I was offered a glass of water even before I ordered anything. That was very kind. I ordered scrambled eggs and cocoa drink which I found them tasty. Plus, the price is very reasonable. The service is impeccable, very lovely. Highly recommended and hope to come back again!

One of the fun places I love visiting. Nice service, kind people and delicious food.

We wanted to have full english breakfast and this café came up, so we give it a try - and I was super excited about the atmosphere and outdoor seating which had really nice feel - covered with trees with nice shadows and green everywhere. Breakfast was delicious as well, with some pieces different than the english one, yet tasty. Will definitely come back to try something else to taste.

Café Pilát is a charming spot favored by locals, offering a cozy atmosphere and delightful Middle Eastern-inspired breakfast dishes. The café features a terrace with stunning views of Brno's Cathedral of St Peter and Paul. For those seeking healthier options, SKOG Urban Hub provides an array of fresh and nutritious, including vegan, choices without compromising on flavor. Additionally, the café offers Mediterranean-influenced cuisine and local Moravian wines on its beautiful terrace overlooking the cathedral spires.
Found this cafe due to Google reviews and its proximity to our hotel. Definitely not disappointed. Everything on the breakfast/brunch menu sounded really nice, but we chose the poached eggs with hummus and the poached eggs with greek yoghurt. They even had decaf tea for my partner, which is rare.
Tom A — Google review
Authentic café in a nice, hidden corner of Brno center. I liked the authenticity of interior and unusual offer of middle east and arabic-inspired dishes. . The servings are tasty and large, although i missed some smaller, lighter meal options- in the puctures you can see both meaty and vegan iption. The cofee is average, hopefully they will improve. . The meals are tasty and made from good ingredience, the quality of serving improved significantly from my last visit- just see tge pictures (still i miss some fresh herbs). The pita could be made or a real woodeb fire, on stone or on a hot metal sheet, it tasted ok but felt like purchased in lidl. . It is worth coming here to try something new, out of the fairly generic coffee culture of Brno. The staff speaks english and they accept cards.
Simon S — Google review
I liked the salad and hummus I had for breakfast. The only complaint I have is that a lot of dishes are with coriander sauce and they cannot make them without it. It's a shame cause some people (up to 14%) can't stand the herb.
Aleksandra K — Google review
I had a breakfast here on a sunny Monday morning. Cafe Pilat is an awesome place. Tasty food, creative drinks - try dark funeral cappuccino, and amazing service and hospitality. The location is also nice - next to everything, and outside seats have a lovely view!

Some people would not go for Mediterranean cuisine in Czech Republic but this is a must! We had brunch taking the luculus plate and the Habibi brunch. They were both excellent! Very healthy options, all allergens obviously noted, delicious flavors and great super fast service!
Eleni V — Google review
I've always love the atmosphere of this place and everything they offer.. But just today I found out how to describe their meals. In everything I have tried I tasted exotic tastes mixed with something from my grandmas' cuisine and tastes of my childhood. This uniqueness blows my mind and brings me back for more

Buchta B is a serene café in Brno, offering a peaceful atmosphere with good coffee and tea served by friendly staff. The café provides a quiet environment, perfect for reading or relaxing on weekends while enjoying their delicious and healthy cakes, teas, and pastries. They prioritize using high-quality ingredients for their beverages and pastries, which may reflect slightly higher prices compared to other cafes in the city center.
These spinach pancakes were just amazing!! What a great way to start a day (and they open at 6.30 am so it could be a very early start :)). Also, good quality coffee and a variety of pastries, cookies, beverages, snacks etc to choose from. What a lovely place!

Food is ok, but not exceptional. Bathroom is really narrow, hard to wash your hands. Workers are very polite and friendly.
Farid S — Google review
Waiting time was extremely annoying. 40 minutes from order to receiving breakfast. Coffee served after 20 minutes. It was just warm, not hot. Good in taste, but to cold. Livance ... pancakes... Gluten free... Regular much better . It would be ok but amount of additions was scarce, boo little of cottage cheese and plum (just one! Cut in 5 pieces). Scroogy... I would not repeat this experience definitely. Why 4,7 out of 5? I will not agree for such high rating.
Przemyslaw C — Google review
The place is amazing. The coffee is great, service superb and the atmosphere cool, but the portions are just too small, mainly when compared with other brunch places in Brno. I would gladly pay more for it as everything they have tastes excellent. This is the only negative I was able to find at this place, otherwise it is 10/10.
Mojmír R — Google review
Small cute cafe near Fleda club. Owners lived in Scotland and move back to the Czech. This cafe is their second branch. The coffee is nice a bit milky. The homemade meals are done with love. Staff friendly and can speak multiple languages.
Patrik K — Google review
Extremely friendly service in a very beautiful environment. There are options for brunch including vegan plates and a variety of desserts. I found the brunch choices kind of alternative but I would definitely recommend to visit the place for coffee and dessert.
Fani O — Google review
Cute little place in Brno with modern menu and probably all available substitutes for dairy products and gluten. Menu is fresh and interesting - the crown jewel are probably the Canadian pancakes. I tried zucchini tartar and matcha latte. Both very good. My only peeve is that the staff seemed very confused and the preparation of food seemed too long. Sadly my friend had a hair in her tea as well which tainted our experience a bit.

Bistro Franz is a charming and intimate dining spot known for its delightful blend of traditional and modern breakfast and brunch options. The attention to detail and focus on quality and freshness are evident in their classic French toast, savory breakfast bowls, colorful salads, and sweet dishes adorned with fresh fruits. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere adds to the appeal, making it a recommended choice for those seeking an international cuisine experience in Brno.
This place is a gem ! Such a great atmosphere, such a nice staff, the coffee here was surprisingly good even though it wasn’t placed in the top cafes . This bistro served some delicious food for lunch, the flavors where so complete and complemented each other the prices were really good as well . If you ever want to try something delicious make sure you stop here !

A cozy breakfast place not far from the Spilberg castle. Our waitress spoke very good English and the menu was also available in English. Highly recommended!
Adrienn M — Google review
Amazing place. Perfect for a good brunch and coffee. Interior is beautiful and pleasant, staff too. Nothing bad to say about this place.
Nik M — Google review
Great place for a weekend brunch. We ordered coffee and variety of food from the menu. All dishes were very tasty, well seasoned and eye pleasing. I very much enjoyed my eggs Benedict, the eggs were perfectly poached, good amount of bacon and I especially appreciated good amount of veggies on the plate. Coffee was fine, good flat white. There’s not too many food options on the menu, but enough to please everyone.
Dominika V — Google review
Both the Egg Benedict and the Brioche was really good. One tipp: The back room could also have more decoration, cosy led lights and some paintings or other deco elements would make it more cosy.
Viktor K — Google review
Recommended for weekend breakfasts and brunches. And one of the best places where to get eggs Benedict. Second to the best in my opinion. Local ingredients and organic products are used to prepare breakfasts, brunches and lunches in here. The coffee is good, staff is friendly and always kind and helpful. You usually don’t need a reservation but in peak hours (E.g. 11 am on Sunday) you may have problems with finding a free table. There’s like 10 tables for 2-4 persons. I always come without reservation and had to wait for a free table just once. Totally a place to go for morning treats. Lunch menus are also interesting and always a fresh alternative against standard Czech menu offers you receive all around the city.
Veronika — Google review
I like to visit this place repeatably. This would be one of few places with international cuisine in Brno that I can recommend to everyone. I had salmon trout with grilled vegetables. Taste was good, fish was moisture and well prepared, the same goes for the vegetables. Some flyers and magazines are placed at the parapets next to the window. They can be grabbed/read at the place freely. In a case you go alone, you will still have something to do. One small disadvantage might be higher price of meals. But if you compare the quality of the meals, the place is definitely worth of visit.

Café Placzek is a charming two-story glass café located on Minoritska Street 4, offering picturesque views of the Franciscan church. Opened by a couple in 2013, it also houses a bed-and-breakfast on the upper floors. The café is popular for its morning offerings and weekend brunches, featuring homemade pastries and quality ingredients. It's advisable to make reservations due to its constant popularity.
I came to this place unplanned but it was a great experience. Different breakfast options - next time I will come to try goat cheese for sure! Polite and friendly staff, both cash and card payments are accepted. Location is in the city centre, just 5-6 minutes from the main train station. Great place to have a healthy breakfast.

I had an incredible 5-star breakfast experience at Cafe Placzek! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service provided was exceptional. Our waiter made our visit special, even though I can't recall his name. The only downside was higher prices compared to other places in Brno, but it was worth it for the excellent products and top-notch service. I highly recommend this cafe for a delightful breakfast treat!
Lidu N — Google review
Great experience - many brunch options, even keto diet suitable options. Prices about 200-250kr / meal for brunch. All meals were great!!
Inge R — Google review
The place was busy so I can understand how it happened but it still doesn’t make up for my cold Benedict :( We waited at least half an hour for food to arrive, the waitress was perfectly polite but never came back to ask how anything was or to clear our plates, in the end we just walked downstairs to pay. My Benedict was room temperature at best (the bread was completely cold) and the tiny bits of salmon didn’t taste like anything much. The minorite breakfast was fun and interesting (and hot!) so we can recommend that, and the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice.
Lisa R — Google review

We just had our brunch here. Price was 820 CK and waitress took by herself 180CK tip. This behaviour was very unprofessional and felt manipulative. Money was not added to bill, she just took it making smiley and comment in Czech language that we didn't understand even though our previous conversation was in English. We stay 10 days in Brno and now we know where in next 9 days we wont eat. Thank you for that acknowledge.

Nestled in a charming courtyard street, Kavárna Spolek is the perfect retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. This old-school student café has maintained its cozy charm over the years, featuring familiar furniture and a delightful kid's corner that appeals to families. With an impressive selection of coffee sourced from their own roastery, alongside delicious soups, salads, and seasonal specialties, it’s an ideal spot for a light bite or refreshing drink.
Very unusual atmosphere of old Bohemia. i like the inner courtyard, in the evening this place turns into a real heart of romantic atmosphere, and also pretty nice coffee here
Call “ — Google review
Spolek used to be my favorite place for coffee and good food. When my friend and I heard the news of its closure, we decided to visit for lunch one last time. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed by the experience. The quality of the food was nowhere near what it used to be. The chicken had no taste and felt unfresh—I suspect they had precooked it, stored it in the fridge, and simply reheated it when serving. The vegetables were also frozen, including peas, spinach, and corn—everything tasted like leftovers. I couldn't believe how something that was once so good had deteriorated this much. I understand that their business is coming to an end, but it seems like they have stopped caring, betraying the affection of their loyal customers. It's really sad to see. At least now, I won’t feel bad about losing my favorite place anymore.
Sofie K — Google review
The plate was dirty and greasy, they brought the wrong food, the table and menu was sticky and dirty, it took way too long to get the food, we also got it at very different times (other side of the table finished by the time i got my food). The food tastes bland but i guess its okay for the price.
Anna A — Google review
Few years later after my previous visit and the place still has in its offer radiatori pasta in creamy sauce with chicken and spinach. I'm amazed. I'll be getting back just because of that!
Jana K — Google review
That was the worst place in the entire Brno. I didn't like the menu, too many positions not available, servers and barista always forget about you table and don't even excuse when we waited for server 20 minutes, when the place was almost empty. Not recommend it.

Great place with good coffees and tasty food. Kids friendly: lovely backyard with sandpit and toys, kids corner inside. We had amazing time there, would come again

Tasty food and big portions for the reasonable price. I would personally recommend their soups and lemonades. The choice is average, but everyone can find something. Atmosphere is also okay, without any features. The staff is polite and knows the menu and other important things, but sometimes they are too busy - not a big problem.

Industra Coffee is a unique café in Brno, founded by Adam Obratil and Petra Strelecka. Located in an industrial zone, it's not your average coffee spot but a deliberate choice for visitors. The café moved to revitalized spaces in Zidenice, specifically an old compressor room. Here, patrons can enjoy great coffee, delicious desserts, and even take part in coffee courses led by the owners themselves.
In an area whith a small outdoor training place which alright for a small workout once in a while, There's a place to play volleyball, football, there's a few places to get coffee around here. This specific store is industrial based, its quite interesting to see. The staff is nice and friendly, Service is good. There's places to sit outside and inside, there's a little table football game to play. The staff working there made a small mistake, so we paid 2x for a coffee we ordered once. I did not notice this but the employee there did, they corrected the mistake and gave us the money back. So that was a nice gesture. Will definitely go again sometime as I enjoy the prace and quiet there

A nice cafe, which is industrially-themed and located in an industrial part of Brno offers very tasty coffee as well as cakes. The neighbourhood is surrounded by playgrounds for football, basketball, etc. and is appropriate to have walk in. The staff was very friendly and caring. The place is nicely accessible by car, but when travelling by tram, a 10 min walk is needed.

Amazing place and amazing coffee but slow to serve it so it becomes annoying. I like to visit this place when I’m in Brno but I have second thoughts after our last experience. Service is a bit slow. They have a ping pong that people use instead of drink their coffee and go. Service should pick up the empty glasses faster so the people that just stay there might go faster or they should add more tables in the unused areas.

Great cafe / art gallery concept set in an industrial complex in an old warehouse. We arrived this afternoon to a super friendly server with a cool British accent that introduced us to all the great food and drinks that they serve here. We had the home make crumble, raspberry chocolate cake that are freshly made onsite. I have to say it’s the best cafe cakes that I have ever had in Brno. We also tried the coffee and it was superbly executed with a super smooth flavour no bitterness at all. To finished we took the artisan ice lolly and an amazing ginger beer. The atmosphere in the place is really cool with some retro furniture and a New York loft style feeing. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be coming back again. They have free WiFi, free drinking water and a table tennis table too..

Coffee prepared to absolute perfection, coffee beans hand picked before grinding. Seriously, the best coffees you can have. In Brno or anywhere else. Coffee place is located in industrial park, you gotta walk through gate to get here, but it's so worth it. 5/5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Nice cozy environment. Hidden gem in Brno. Suitable for families with kids as well. Often filled with some artsy events.

The "Happy" Tea House is a delightful place where one can savor the pleasure of Touareg Tea and indulge in traditional dishes like butter chicken and various other delectable options. The food is not only delicious but also has a unique taste that captivates the palate. This tea house offers an inviting ambiance where visitors can spend hours enjoying their meals. However, one slight drawback is that sometimes it takes quite long to place an order, which could be improved upon.
I didn't order any food, only beer and shisha. It may seem that the atmosphere will be oriental, but it is really friendly. Quiet, peaceful, you can play something, there are board games available on site. Worth a visit.

Absolutely love this place! I’ve been here around 4 times in the evening-delicious food, amazing teas and cocktails, super lovely staff, comfortable seating areas and such a chilled, happy atmosphere… definitely my favourite place for food and relaxing with friends in Brno!

A Delightful Experience at Happy Tea House in Brno I am a frequent visitor to Happy Tea House in Brno, and it has consistently provided an exceptional dining experience. This tea house has become one of my favorite spots in the city, thanks to its delicious offerings and welcoming atmosphere. The lamb biryani at Happy Tea House is nothing short of spectacular. The dish is perfectly spiced, with tender pieces of lamb that melt in your mouth. It's a must-try for anyone who loves rich, flavorful food. I always order the Assam milk tea to experience a Indian flavour. Its smooth, creamy texture and unique flavor make it the perfect drink to accompany the Gobi Manchurian, chicken lollipop and chicken koliwada. What sets Happy Tea House apart is not just the food, but the overall dining experience. During the summer, the outside dining area provides a lovely ambiance. Sitting outside, enjoying the warm weather and delicious food, is truly an awesome experience. Moreover, the service at Happy Tea House is exceptional. The servers are always pleasant, attentive, and ensure that you have a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Their friendly demeanor adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a meal with friends or a spot to relax with a great cup of tea, Happy Tea House is the place to be. Highly recommended!

We went to Veselá Čajovna as a group of 7. Ordered only some tea, water, birrel and shisha. First drink delivered was just a bottle of Birrel. After waiting for aprox 50 minutes for our drinks, I had to leave so I asked the staff to cancel my tea from the order. The osthers stayed and waited for their drinks. When they were leaving and one of my friends was still charged for my tea. After he saw it was on the bill he reminded the staff the tea was cancelled from the order, he got the money back for it. Not very good experience.

Service was perfect! The indian girl with a nice smile 🙂 However, beer ( Polička ) was quite bad. It tasted evaporated.

We enjoyed our Touareg Tea and it was great. After that we ate something traditional like butter chicken and other dishes. It was delicious and tasty. A place where you can spend many hours. The only criticism: sometimes it took a very long time before we could order something. If this is repaired, then you deserve a 5-star rating :) In the whole: I can recommend the Happy Tea House and i will come Back soon! :)

We had the vegetarian options of starters and mains. Great food selection authentic and great value for monies. Nice decor a shisha lounge inside too.

Yesterday I ordered just simple mojito drink and it took more than half an hour to get it despite the fact the restaurant wasn't crowded when I came. Also few weeks ago I ordered Kofola and waited for one hour with my friends and nothing came so I left after some time, then the waiter asked my friends to pay for something they never get to us (The Kofola) and they informed the cashier we didn't get this! It used to be good place with decent service but it became very uncomfortable place, I think they changed the servicing staff that's why it going worse and worse every day.

Zemanova kavárna a cukrárna is the oldest confectionary shop and cafe in Brno, offering traditional Czech desserts. The retro coffee/cake shop has a wide selection of delicious cakes prepared fresh daily. Despite being frequented mostly by an older crowd, the service is fast and attentive even during peak hours. The interior exudes an original first Republic atmosphere, providing a vintage 50s cafe feeling in the city center.
Finally I decided to visit this place that I usually pass by day by day. Wonderful retro coffee/cake shop with delicious offer, prepared fresh daily. The service was really nice and very fast even during peak hour, very pleasant and attentive. Coffee is one of the best in the city centre (definitely in my top 3), and the cake selection is rather wide. I chose the Sacher cake and it was heavenly! I will definitely be back to try out the rest. Card payments available, expect mostly older crowd. Overall 5 stars, no doubt.

Coffee was good but the desserts were not. But this is not about the bakery this is about the Czech desserts. They are not good enough.

An old-school confectionery with both traditional, but also a bit punk cakes. I was surprised by offer of sugar-free cream puffs. I really appreciate this step forward to people that either don't want eat so much sugar in their lives, but want to still go out and enjoy coffee with their friends, or simply can't eat sugar. I went for one of these cakes. Regarding the taste, my sugar-free cream puff was good, but quite heavy. I think that most of the filling was simple whipped cream. Very tasty, but it makes you full really quickly. Interior of the place is another story. If you are into historical buildings or interiors, this is the place for you. Enjoy how nicely preserved and maintained this place is.

Nice little retro café. Great atmosphere food is average. The staff is nice. Very quiet when my wife and I were there. I recommend it just for the ambiance. It is not far from the main square in Brno. This place is like stepping in the past.

The best “vetrnik” ever! I have tasted a few of them in Brno and this is absolutely the best of the best. “Spicka” wasn’t fresh and unfortunately one of our coffee was served with ild milk, which we changed immediately. All people working there are super friendly and nothing problem. If you are under 50, you will be one of the youngest there😂 But who cares.

NEVER AGAIN. Would rather visit Placzek down the street. Tihs place has a lot of potential and there is a lot of history interwinding its walls and dishes. We have attended an evening concert during the Janáček Brno festival, where we had to make a reservation, so we expected that the service will be swift in order not to ruin the atmosphere and so one can focus on the music. Unfortunatelly, right off the bat we were informed that when we like to order their "famous" cakes, we need to go downstairs to check the offer as the waitresses apparently did not know what is "left". Quite sad that we had to select from leftovers basically, the café did not pre-stock for an event attended by, guessing, 50-60 people. We ordered filtered coffee and a decaf cappuccino and then their "famous" Veletržní Cake, "had", some nougat and chocolate cake. And then the f-ups started. We found out that while going downstairs to see if the have the cake, going up and waiting for the waitress, someone else snatched the cakes we wanted to order. Nice. Ok, next, after 15 minutes, we got the decaf and were informed they do not have coffee filters .... how can you run out of those in a café? So we switched to other coffees. And while we did expect that the coffees may take a moment, we had to wait for a total of 40 minutes to slowly begin receiving the cakes and coffees, one at a time over another 15 minute span. I even went to ask the waitresses what is going on. "We are busy". Duh, you have 4 waitresses on the floor for 60 people, I would say no more than 4 tables per waitress. That is inexcusable unprofessionality and lazyness. After we finally got everything (the concert was already at its end), one confused waitress brought actually a Veletržní cake to our table ... So apparently, the guys who ordered it before we got the chance to and so we had to change our order, received it even later than we did our changed order. I mean come on, how bad as a waitress you have to be to make a guest wait almost an HOUR for a piece of cake that is already pre-sliced?! Never ever again. The cakes and coffees we got were nothing exceptional, and the concert was totaly ruined for us, as we kept looking around whether are still roasting the beans for our coffee or whether they forgot about us. I would give 2-3 stars for the food and atmosphere normally at least if the service would be ok, but the waitresses totally ruined it for us so badly. Thanks a lot, your manager must be proud.

If you want to experience the vintage feeling of 50s cafe in Brno City Center take a 'sip' in this huge "Kavárna a Cukrárna". We love the coffe and the traditional desserts...!

Café Špilberk offers affordable beer, particularly noteworthy considering its location within the castle. Not only that, but it also provides a splendid panorama for customers to enjoy. The beer selection is of high quality, and the service is friendly and accommodating. The café itself boasts an exquisite setting with a hospitable staff who contribute to creating a pleasant atmosphere for all visitors.
To be honest, at the top of the castle I expected this to be another tourist scam. But it was not, the prices were ok, coffee was good for ČR and the brewed apple juice was delicious. Together with sunny view and nice free toilet it was very nice actually.
Benjamin B — Google review
The café has great advantage - its position at the top of Špilberk, close to the castle that is one of the main attractions in Brno. The interior of the place is not that interesting, but the sitting outside is quite nice, especially during summer. I had espresso tonic and I would recommend to try it, it's refreshing.
Jana K — Google review
Great location at the top of Brno! Would be much better if the waiter could wear a smile from time to time.
Sabrina L — Google review
Considering it is one of the most touristic places in town it is very sad that the food has so much to improve. The staff is pretty nice, but the food does not help their kindness. Also, if you are with babies in a stroller, the restaurant is not accessible. An unfortunate!
Giselle N — Google review
A café on top of the castle with prices same as bellow the castle, so don't worry you'll blow the budget on this one. They've got the classics, but if you're looking for a good food, go to a restaurant instead.
Martin U — Google review
The waiter is impolite. We asked if we can push 2 tabels together he answered no without welcoming us like saying Hello.. so we left.
Dominik L — Google review
Cheap beer especially considering its in the castle. Also it has an amazing view
