The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is a vibrant cultural hub in Beverly Hills, showcasing a diverse array of performances including dance, theater, and lectures. The center's eclectic programming reflects the rich tapestry of Los Angeles and its status as an entertainment capital. Housed in a restored 1933 Beverly Hills Post Office, the center features two distinctive theater spaces: the contemporary 500-seat Bram Goldsmith Theater and the intimate 150-seat Lovelace Studio Theater.
What a historic building!! Very well maintained. All the staffs are very professional and friendly. The box office is inside the building, no long line to pick up the tickets. The staffs are very efficient. Not a huge theater but very intimate. Every seat is a good seat. There is bar area right in front of the theater entrance. Beautiful outdoor courtyard, perfect place to hang out before the show or during intermission.

Historical plaque inscription: On this site was the original inter-urban railway junction (circa 1897), named after the original Hammel & Denker ranch, which was subdivided in 1906 to create the City of Beverly Hills. It was an important hub to bring prospective homebuyers to the new City. The station was demolished in 1933 to make way for the new post office. A replacement station, named Beverly Hills, was built across the street in 1934. In early 1888, landowners and hoteliers Hammel & Denker envisioned a townsite called Morocco at what is today Beverly Hills. After the great land boom waned in late 1888, the proposed townsite never materialized. At the time, the railway line between Los Angeles and Santa Monica had little reason to stop for passengers in or around the area. Hammel & Denker sold their ranch land to Amalgamated Oil Company who began drilling for oil, which proved elusive. In 1906, the Rodeo Land & Water Company bought the Amalgamated holdings and planned a grand city with fine homes and landscaping. On November 14, 1906, the subdivision known as Beverly was recorded. One of the first substantial buildings constructed in the town was the stucco station depot called Beverly located on the east side of Canon Drive between Santa Monica Boulevard and South Santa Monica Boulevard. Beverly served as the junction of two lines that provided service from Los Angeles to the Santa Monica area, and it became a stop on the famous Balloon Route offered by the Los Angeles Pacific Electric Railway. In 1933, the original Beverly station was demolished to make way for the new post office, and a new station called Beverly Hills was built across street on the west side of Canon Drive in 1934. Service on the two interurban rail lines along this route ended in the early 1940s. The depot was later demolished and developed with a modern multi-story office building (1959) and parking structure.

Went to go see Love Actually live. What a great show. The parking was easy and great price. The seats were comfortable nice a cushy. Plenty of foot room. They had drinks for sale before after and during the show. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. The show was absolutely amazing. Ten out of ten totally recommend this theater and show.

A beautiful historical theater. The entrance is built with lovely stone. Comfortable seats with great views of the stage from almost every angle. The interior of the theater has amazing wooden architecture.

Nice performing arts venu, its small so the view is nice from every seat. Parking on-site for 8 dollars per performance.

Such a beautiful venue (historic)! I have seen many plays and productions there (my favorite being the Hershey Felder ones). Easy parking, too! Highly recommend!

Came for Frankenstein. Walking directions from Parking to Lovelace Studio Theater was not friendly. Love the warm ambience at the Lobby with easy pick up at the Box Office. BaskinBar @The Wallis has a nice selection of beverages while waiting. Friendly staff. Perhaps a first world problem: lack of ladies washroom cubicles. As usual in many theater, a queue is a common sight. There were two performances happening, the announcement that 10mins more til the show begins, led many visitors to a hush-hurry. The miscommunication was the announcer did not mentioned which show was particularly ready for seating. Frankenstein is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Looking forward to upcoming performances happening at The Wallis!
Natasha C — Google review
Went to see "The Old Man and the Old Moon" - we thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities are top-notch, and our seats were upgraded for free (probably due to "very rainy evening=lower attendance"). The seats were comfortable, the sound was great, and it looks like every seat has a good sight line. The staff were friendly and helpful. There also have a beautifully landscaped exterior, with a 'waterfall wall' in a courtyard. The production itself was excellent - I enjoyed the "Band of Actors"; they combined live music, drama and some clever shadow puppetry to great effect, and the story was fun, engaging, riotously exciting at times, and thought-provoking. Well done.

Nature & Parks
Beverly Gardens Park is a sprawling green space filled with trees, fountains, and jogging paths. The park also boasts cacti and rose gardens, adding to its natural beauty. Visitors can explore an impressive collection of public art, including Roxy Paine's Erratic and Tony Smith's Playground. Additionally, the park features sculptures, arbors, and a decomposed granite path for walking and jogging.
This park is relatively small, but it’s definitely a must-visit if you’re touring the area. Besides taking a photo at the beautiful fountain with the Beverly Hills sign in the background, there’s almost always some kind of exhibition or display happening there. Oh, and did I mention how clean the park is? It’s also usually easy to find parking. If you don’t find a spot on one side of the block, you’ll likely find one on the other. It’s generally very chill—and you can often even find a spot in the shade.
Felipe G — Google review
Specifically visited Beverly Hills garden sign but Rodeo Drive is only a 10-minute walk from the garden. Right behind the Beverly Hills garden sign, you will find the iconic palm tree neighborhood for your iconic picture. There's also a very beautiful, huge tree right behind the sign and a garden of roses that are very well maintained. I got to the garden sign about 3:30 p.m during a week day and there were a lot of people waiting to take a picture but by 5:30 pm there was nobody there. So if you don't want to have a crowd go later on in the evening. Very nice neighborhood and homes. I believe there was a restroom down the way. Not very much to do besides taking in the scenery and tourist sites.

Beverly Hills Garden Park, often referred to as Beverly Gardens Park, is a beautifully landscaped green space that stretches along Santa Monica Boulevard in the heart of Beverly Hills, California. Spanning nearly two miles, the park features elegant walking paths, colorful flower beds, striking sculptures, and the iconic Beverly Hills sign—a popular photo spot for visitors from around the world. The park also showcases themed gardens, including the Cactus Garden and Rose Garden, offering a peaceful escape amid the city’s glamour. Throughout the year, it hosts community events like the Beverly Hills Art Show, drawing artists and visitors alike. With its blend of natural beauty, art, and Hollywood charm, Beverly Hills Garden Park perfectly captures the city’s refined yet welcoming spirit.

I cane to the Beverly Hills art festival and it did not disappoint. There was so much great art 🖼️, food trucks , live music 🎵 and wine garden. You definitely have to come this weekend and check it out . Trust me you’re going to have fun there so many large trees that give off great shade with this autumn 🍂 warm weather. It was so much fun uploading the pictures and videos I took .

This park is such a peaceful green space right in the heart of Beverly Hills. It’s perfect for a break between shopping or sightseeing and it has plenty of shaded areas and benches. The landscaping is immaculate and the location could not be better.

This Beverly Hills Garden Park exhibit, entitled "The Great Elephant Migration!" was the most wonderful art exhibit in a public space that I have ever had the pleasure to attend. Thank you, all of the talented artists and coordinators for making this outstanding offering possible! Like an elephant, I will never forget it...🐘🐘🐘

Greystone Mansion & Gardens, also known as the Doheny Estate, offers self-guided tours of its sprawling mansion and grounds, which have been featured in numerous films. The estate was constructed by Ned Doheny at a cost of over $3 million, with $1 million dedicated to the mansion alone. The architectural style is a blend of Gothic and Neo-Classical elements using high-quality materials like steel-reinforced concrete, Indiana limestone, and Welsh slate.
We've had the privilege of shooting several weddings as a husband-and-wife photo/video team here at Greystone Mansion & Gardens, and every experience there has been stellar! The main area for ceremony is absolutely beautiful. You'll be surrounded by magnificent greenery and flowers, and the view perfectly encapsulates the aisle. The cocktail hour and reception area is held against the backdrop of the mansion, so even if you decide to have minimal decoration, the venue itself will automatically make your wedding look stunning. Of course, there are many areas for photos and videos as well. From a long pond with a fountain, grand windows and tall, majestic trees, there is no shortage of locations to capture both intimate romantic moments and fun moments with guests. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and it seems like they have plenty of options for catering and bringing your own extras like a boba bar or dessert. We'd highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

Greystone Mansion is such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. The gardens are well maintained, full of greenery and flowers, making it a perfect spot for a calm walk or quiet time. The historic architecture of the mansion adds a special charm, and it feels like stepping back in time. Entry is free, which makes it even better. Parking can sometimes be a little tricky, but once inside, the relaxing atmosphere and scenic views are totally worth it. ✨ A hidden gem in Beverly Hills — highly recommended for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a serene escape.

Nice gardens. wonderful scenery. parking is free but limited. we went there on weekdays so it wasn't busy. very instragamble backdrops. seen many couples taking wedding/pre-wedding pictures there. once can reserve the place to do it in advance and get to take pictures inside the Manson as well. there are many events and shows happening if interested. Nice visit if you have little extra time to spend.

Beautiful park and gardens on the Grounds of the historic mansion. I had fun exploring the grounds and staircases. Some areas were closed due to a wedding. I will have to return sometime soon to tour the inside of the mansion. Parking and admission are free.

Visiting Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills felt like stepping into another world. The Tudor-style estate is stunning, but it was the gardens that captivated me most. Walking along stone paths past fountains and lily ponds, with sweeping views of Los Angeles, was peaceful and inspiring. I didn’t go inside the mansion itself, but even from the outside its history and grandeur were obvious. What I loved most was how calm it felt—far removed from the bustle of the city. With free entry and parking, it’s a beautiful escape I’d gladly return to.

I am so glad this landmark is free, and easy to access. There are so many superior resources are only owned by human at the top of the social pyramid, even nature property. Us, as most ordinaries, we should live a life that does not have fears to complete its maximum possibility. People who were so lucky to be born in rich family naturally own lots of sources. I know this is not fair, but who told you the world is fair? Never. What we can do is do what we can do. Nature hears it, and heals you. The sun, the light, the breeze, the creek, the leaves, the wild flowers, and all the known or unknown living species besides human are truly alive. We just have to expand what we can be happy with, not just human world. I really loved to come here yesterday at a beautifully sunny afternoon with kinda harmony— no strong sun, no strong wind, not too hot, and not too cold. I loved that wall that is on the opposite of the fountain. The light, and the leaves reflected on the wall. All of those are just beautiful in silence. It did heal me for the part that I can not control in the human world—the capitalism, and its solidified class. God bless all of us! God give each of us a so unique, and different life. Why don’t we enjoy it heartily enough?
Aitana B — Google review
One of those beautiful historic homes with quite the Hollywood story to boot. Try to get tickets for one of the guided tours when they become available. But you can also enjoy the gardens if not. Amazing views from here and a serene spot in the city. Gorgeous details on the interiors and exteriors.

Architectural Buildings
The Spadena House, also called The Witch's House, is a unique and captivating sight for those seeking extraordinary places. Built in the 1920s by Hollywood art director Harry Oliver, this whimsical building resembles a fairy-tale gingerbread house with its charming asymmetrical shape, pointy roof, and enchanting details.
Lovely little Witch house on the corner of one of Beverly Hills' streets. It belongs to an actual Real Stator who lives there and was allowed to Buy the house under the condition of keeping it the way it was, as a themed piece of art among the streets. Apparently there are some tours allowed into the property on weekends. I didnt go in, but just looking at it from outside You feel like filming a Hollywood movie. Don't miss it if You are around.
Octavio F — Google review
The house is smaller than I thought it would be. In its original life, it was the studio of the great-grandfather of a co-worker, so I wanted to visit. The current owner understood the potential and utilizes the historical significance of house. I'm glad I got to see it. It's on a corner, so easy to view. It's a private residence so you can't go in.
MeMe D — Google review
It once sat on a movie lot in Culver City, and then it was moved to Beverly Hills. This iconic house, also known as The Witch's House, is one of the top tourist attractions in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Used in movies, TV shows, books, videos and on and on, the Spadena House is a must-see and a photo-op dream. Yes, it's a real house and it is THE place to be on Halloween. I love it. If you find yourself with out-of-town relatives interested in seeing some of the most unique and expensive homes in the world, this is definitely a stop. You cannot tour the house but you can walk around the fenced area. You could easily spend 45 minutes looking at cool details. Research the history gives you even more insight as to the uniqueness of this house
Ron E — Google review
I bet a lot locals don’t even know this place. The Spadena House, affectionately known as “The Witch’s House,” is a whimsical architectural gem nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills. Originally built in 1921 as a studio office and dressing room for Willat Studios in Culver City, it was relocated to its current location in 1926, where it was transformed into a private residence. Its storybook design, complete with intentionally uneven gables, tiny windows, and a charmingly dilapidated facade, makes it a standout attraction amidst the opulence of Beverly Hills. Visitors often find themselves enchanted by the house’s fairy-tale appearance. The exterior features a whimsical garden with a quaint bridge and a pond, enhancing its storybook charm. While the Spadena House remains a private residence and is not open for interior tours, the exterior alone offers ample opportunities for photography and admiration. Many appreciate the owner’s efforts in maintaining the property’s unique aesthetic, often decorating it seasonally, which adds to its allure. For those interested in unique architecture and a touch of whimsy, the Spadena House is a must-see landmark. Its proximity to other Beverly Hills attractions makes it a convenient and delightful addition to any sightseeing itinerary. Cute, and fun

The Witch's House, also known as the Spadena House, is an enchanting house in the heart of Beverly Hills. The house was built in 1921 for a silent film movie studio, Willat Studios in Culver City. When the studio closed, the Spadena family moved the home to its current location in Beverly Hills, where it has been since 1934. The Witch's House is a private residence owned by Beverly Hills realtor, Michael J. Libow. Tours are not offered. Please be respectful and don't make a lot of noise by viewing the home only from the street. You can park around for 2hrs for free, so cool out of the world.
Karina C — Google review
This place looks like it is straight out of a Disney movie, although I believe it only makes an appearance in Clueless (that I’m aware of). Built as a silent film studio in the 1920’s and was considered part of the Disney inspiration for Walt Disney. A great stop if you’re in the area.

Nestled on the east side of Coldwater Canyon at Beverly Drive, Coldwater Canyon Park is a charming 5-acre green space that has been a favorite recreational spot since its opening in July 1920. The park offers various amenities such as a synthetic jogging track, seating areas, a fountain, and two playgrounds designed for different age groups.
I discovered this playground through Mommy Poppins LA and decided to check it out. I can confidently say it’s one of the best spots on the Westside! The wood and tree log elements create a charming, natural aesthetic that stands out. The surrounding park is adorned with beautiful statues, though unfortunately, the water features are currently turned off due to the drought.

Coldwater Canyon Park is a delightful mini-retreat in Beverly Hills—ideal for families, joggers, or anyone craving a peaceful green escape. Small but well-equipped, it’s perfect for light hikes, playdates, and leisurely afternoons. Just keep parking limitations and occasional paparazzi in mind.

Absolutely perfect for walking and jogging! The playground is a fantastic spot for families, and the park features clean bathrooms for convenience. It is interesting that there is a jogging path in this park. There are many beautiful flowers, a beekeeper and a hummingbird. Unfortunately I didn't find a toilet in this park.

Very popular place for families to have picnic and to share valuable outdoor time with their children, and for babysitting nannies. Green and lovely! On a border of Beverly Hills. There’s a playground with swings, and a preschool. I drive by it all the time on my way to Franklin Canyon Park where I hike 5 times a week. Coldwater Canyon Park is usually pretty busy. Busier on weekends, of course. There’s also small track for runners on the other side of the street.
Agnieszka P — Google review
Small park with playground and preschool. Street parking. No parking lot. Two shaded picnic table areas, each with two tables. Reserved events are limited to thirty people per Beverly Hills parks and rec. Public restroom by the playground and preschool. Playground was gated. Two main play structures - for toddlers and older children. Both structures have shade coverage. Swings separate. Around the playground but within the gate were benches shaded by plants and a cover (see images). Very quaint. Was not too crowded on a Friday afternoon. As another review mentioned, I didn't notice a river area for kids water play anymore.

This is a great park for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. It’s quiet, clean, and surrounded by nature, making it a perfect place to take a walk, sit on a bench, or spend time with family. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful outdoor spot.

Amazing library. Great space for toddlers to play with extremely limited hours. I wish it was open more considering it’s just a room that’s unsupervised and as a mom i can keep my kids busy. Great programming, gorgeous place. Two hour parking free

A clean library with professional staff. There's a café next to the library. Spacious with several seat desk section alternatives depending on the types of studies/reading you want to perform. Only one group room.

Wonderful places to study and absorb knowledge. Can obtain out-of-state library card to borrow computers. I finished two medical books in 8 days. Amazing experience.

I had no idea what a public library in a place like Beverly Hills would be like, but it was great to see how well it tries to preserve the classic image of vintage Beverly Hills by not having it be completely over the top like so much of the real estate is. There are plenty of places to sit, and lots of artwork to look at while browsing. I loved seeing such a diverse crowd both using and working at the library, showing how libraries truly are a place for ALL.
Erin G — Google review
Loud people and the staff accept it! I specifically asked one of the desk staff on the second floor, whether there are rules for keeping quiet and he said that if he cannot hear it, then it is OK and he of course would not hear it as the loud people were 30-40 feet away from him, but 2 feet from me. In all the libraries I have been until now (I'm 44) talking is either not allowed in the quiet areas or very close to it so this library I guess is different... Or it depends on who is working at the moment... This could be an amazing library, as the building, books, equipment, etc. is amazing, but coming here to find a quiet area is pretty much impossible.
Grigor G — Google review
The facility itself is really nice and spacious, but the staff aren’t very friendly. The atmosphere is quite different from other libraries, which are always welcoming. I don’t want to go into details, but I received rude treatment from the librarian several times. It was quite frustrating.

I visited Bev. Hills Library for the first time after my friend recommended it to me. I love the different areas to study or work. there area variety of seating from comfy chairs to benches and old fashion table and chairs. The library is pretty big and include private workspaces, group workspaces, children library, cafe and much more. The outside is very inviting and esthetically pleasing with Gardens on the premises. I even found out they have rental picnic/BBQ spaces and tennis courts ($). They also offer an array of extracurricular activities for adults and children ($). Lastly, this library is open to 9:30 pm on most nights which is incredible. I was there for about 6 hrs. Overall my experience was very pleasant, however, I do prefer Central Library but this one is my 2nd fav for now.

Nestled within 605 acres, Franklin Canyon Park is a nature lover's paradise and a treasure trove of Hollywood history. The park offers over five miles of picturesque hiking trails that wind through its stunning landscape, including a serene duck pond and a 3-acre lake inhabited by Koi, turtles, and geese.
Went here on a Saturday in April. Saw a video on ig posted by the tannr guy and had to check it out. We didn’t know where to park but we parked on the side at the baseline. It was pretty steep and I would recommend boots with traction. We slipped a few times. There were signs that said leased dog friendly.

Really enjoyed that terrain. Unfortunately, the visitor center has been closed with funding shortages, but the grounds are marvelous. The water is lovely and there are ducks and turtles and Koi in the pond as well as wonderful old growth trees.

This review is not a reflection on Franklin Canyon Park, which is a beauty and 5 star treasure but a bad rating on the ever disappointing LADWP of keeping the North Gate closed for almost 2 years now. While there was severe erosion damage on Lake Drive south of Franklin Cyn Lake, this issue is different. The erosion damage that LADWP and the Park Management claims is responsible for the continued closure of the North Gate is ridiculous and could be repaired much faster if there would be a desire to do so. Some might suspect that this is more politically motivated to find a reason to keep the park locked for through traffic. A similar example is the closure of Griffith Park Drive between Travel Town and the composting facility towards Wilson/ Harding Golf Course for "bicycle safety reasons". I'm not a conspiracy theorist but it's undeniable that LA City is on a roll on making people's access to parks more and more difficult whenever a chance presents itself. So let's see and wait if the Franklin Cyn North Gate ever opens again or the permanent closure is announced at one convenient point. At this point there's no effort visible on repairing the minor damage in this one location, a few sand bags and traffic cones is LADWP's best effort in 2 years, really?
Olaf S — Google review
This park is a traffic ticket trap! Cameras and video recording everywhere. Avoid at all costs. You will get a letter to pay or be sent to collections. Not worth the hassle. Other awesome parks in SoCal to visit without the invasion of privacy. Tinted windows, crack in windshield, roll through stop sign, double park, dog poops without clean up, any of these minor violations, you will see a ticket. Cameras follow you. Good luck!
Mary D — Google review
Reasonably nice. Great to see the lake and the turtles. Good for a family walk. Many trails to choose from but advise. If you have small kids avoid the Blinderman trail. It is very steep going up and coming down. Stick to the other trails which are not too steep. Nice views all-round from different locations if you can go up the trails Parking is free. NICE!

Will Rogers Memorial Park, a serene and historic public park located on Sunset Boulevard, has been a beloved destination for families and couples for over a century. The park boasts large lawns, palm trees, dragon trees, beautiful rose gardens, and a picturesque pond with a fountain at its center. Visitors can enjoy romantic strolls or family outings in this scenic oasis.
Love this park! It’s very quiet, with a beautiful fountain in the middle. In the water, you’ll find turtles sunbathing, ducks, and plenty of small and big fish. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful! Around the Park is 2hour free parking!

Cute little park right across from the Beverly Hills Hotel. It’s quiet, clean, and a nice spot to relax after walking around the area. The fountain is lovely, there were turtles chilling in it when I visited. Overall, a sweet place for a short break.

Will Rogers Memorial Park is a beautifully maintained, peaceful spot in Beverly Hills with lush gardens, tall palm trees, and a picturesque fountain at its center. It’s great for a relaxing stroll, quiet reading, or enjoying the scenery. The park is clean, calm, and full of charm, making it a perfect escape from the busy streets surrounding it.

We stopped around the park to check it out in May. The park is clean, and often tourist vans stop over as well. It has some ponds with fish to see and indications of trivia within the park. It is rather quiet and provides a limited view over the Beverly Hills Hotel. Toilet is clean and there are people working continuously to keep it spot on. I’m not sure if I would recommend it for a stop over, it is clean but not wow.

This is a wonderful place to relax and hang out. It's one of the cleanest and safest parks in all of LA. I really enjoyed watching the fish that were swimming in the fountain! Very peaceful! Definitely a place where you can walk around or sit. There's plenty of parking and you can also take the number 2 Metro bus that lets you off on Sunset Blvd. The entire park is wheelchair accessible and there is a restroom that is also accessible and very clean. The groundskeepers do a very good job keeping this park in good shape. I highly recommend visiting.
CHAD — Google review
It's beautiful as it is, and as peaceful as it is seeing the turtles and fish in the ponds, I was confronted by a bom calling me names and talking to themselves and then talking to me and then talking back to themselves and then yelling at other people. One was a woman with two small children and he was yelling at her and calling her names as well, and then another friend of his came up and joined in with him. I would not recommend this place as a result of the transients hanging out in there verbally assaulting anyone that goes by. He also ran off two tourists from Australia (because he asked them and they told him they were from Australia) but he made a comment that because of the way they looked they didn't look Australian and they were speaking a Middle Eastern language. It was just embarrassing. So sad right across from the Beverly Hills hotel in such a beautiful little park, and they ruined it for everybody.

Virginia Robinson Gardens is a historic mansion and botanical garden located on 6 acres of picturesque grounds in Beverly Hills. Built in 1911, the estate was the private residence of Virginia and Harry Robinson, known for their extravagant parties attended by celebrities like Fred Astaire and Charlie Chaplin. Inspired by her travels, Virginia transformed the estate into a stunning oasis with exotic plants, pools, and fountains.
Been wanting to visit the Virginia Robinson Gardens and it was a sight to behold! The 90-min tour was so good, it almost made me want to become a docent! You learn the history of the estate and about the city of Beverly Hills. You also get to see the second largest palm forest in the world (the largest is in Queensland, AU. I would definitely want to revisit and take a different tour, one of the interior.
Ruth M — Google review
One of the "best kept secrets" in Beverly Hills! Stunning estate with 5 distinct gardens. Plants from all over the world. Breathtaking views. The estate home is pristine, with decor and artwork just as Mrs. Robinson left it.

Virginia Robinson Gardens is a true oasis in the heart of Los Angeles. The gardens are stunningly beautiful, rich in history, and feature magnificent architecture. I was impressed by the variety of plants and flowers, which create a unique atmosphere and bring a sense of tranquility. Visiting the historic house was a special delight; it retains an authentic ambiance and the spirit of past eras. The tour was informative and interesting, with guides sharing many fascinating facts about Virginia Robinson and her contribution to creating this place. It's important to note that visits must be booked in advance through their official website, and ticket prices start at $15. I also had the chance to attend a sound meditation session for $35. Everything was great, but the meditation was held indoors, and the floor was cold. Unfortunately, the yoga mat didn't help with this issue. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Virginia Robinson Gardens to anyone looking to spend time outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature and historical landmarks.

WORST EXPERIANCE EVER RUINED MY WEDDING DAY!!!!!!! APRIL WALTON THE MANAGER: If I could give zero stars, I would. From the very beginning, April was beyond rude and completely unprofessional. She does not own this place but acts like she does, with no respect or compassion for clients. On what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, standing there in my wedding dress, she made me cry because of how dismissive and nasty she was. April ruined my day with her attitude and lack of care. She clearly only cares about herself and not the couples who are trusting this place with their special moments. No bride should ever have to go through what I went through. If you are planning a photoshoot or event here, save yourself the heartbreak and look elsewhere. No one deserves to have their memories tainted by someone as unkind and unprofessional as April. Honestly, she should not even be working here.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, La Brea Tar Pits and Museum is a unique site that offers a glimpse into the Ice Age. The tar pits, filled with black slush called asphalt, have preserved the remains of ancient creatures such as mammoths and Saber-tooth cats. The adjacent museum, Page Museum, displays an impressive collection of fossils including the Huge Colombian Mammoth exhibition and a wall of dire wolf skulls found in the tar pits.
I had always been fascinated by this museum since I was a kid. Loved dinosaurs, love science. Finally got to visit on a trip to the LA area and it is such a cool place. Lots of interested things to see. Beautiful grounds and fantastic displays.
Travis — Google review
A great place to visit for all ages. I recommend taking one of the guided tours as we learned so much more than if we had not. It’s hard to believe the asphalt is still seeping up all over the park. The fossil collection is spectacular. You can also see an excavation site as well as the scientists preserving the fossils.
MJ L — Google review
It was amazing to see the fossils and hear about the history. The displays make it easy to picture what the area was like thousands of years ago. It’s a place that’s fascinating to wander through, and worth the visit. We booked the tickets online but the queue to get in was short. Easily reached using public transport (bus).
Hansaniee K — Google review
I found the museum very informative. The decent was a gentleman, he provided us with facts we wouldn't have known without him. The displays were amazing. I was very intrigued that different areas were sprouting up tar and so they put neon green cones by them. The different pits are still be excavated and new animal remains are still being found. We had teens with us and they seemed to be interested in the displays too.
Kaylene D — Google review
Been wanting to visit here for years. The museum was very interesting and not over crowded like i thought it would be. We did not get to observe the excavation as it was later in the day and it had closed.maybe go there first? I found it very unfortunat that the LACMA was clearly being built over areas where there was more to be excavated as they found fossles while building the facility. LACMA is built all around and nearly 10 feet away from the active excavations and tar pits. Otherwise very cool to see. Would recomend.
Mackenzie N — Google review
We got our tickets through Groupon, and we parked across the street, which was $5 cheaper. The museum was beautiful and really interesting — my kids absolutely loved it. We also walked around outside, where you can see the asphalt bubbling and even smell it. It’s a unique urban park and museum where natural asphalt seeps have preserved fossils from the last Ice Age. Millions of fossils have been discovered here, including plants, insects, and a wide range of animals like dire wolves, ground sloths, and mammoths. The dire wolf collection was especially impressive. A great experience overall.
Minty F — Google review
I had been here a lot times in different seasons but honestly as a local I had never seen this rock kinda structure and alien-like futuristic spot. This is telling me that you never see the whole page when you did not experience everywhere in every corner. So don’t always go far to find sth new! Start from where you are to find what you have missed. I really really enjoyed that afternoon in the gorgeous LA sunlight combining with the most beautiful and natural color (green and blue) in every scene. No fake! No ugly filter, no human commercial. No social and no purpose. It was just pure nature and wilderness. It is the best thing for me and it is free. I am just so sick of fake people and their intention behind. All they want is attention to fulfill their vanity. That is so stupid. Nature is powerful, effortless, and mysterious. Life and its vitality is everywhere if we pay attention to that healthy energy. It is sooooo magical. Isn’t it? I guess that’s why I’d like to share some of honest moments on google maps. It is not commercial or get paid or get sth in return. Just pure my feelings at the moment where I had been and you might be there before too.
Aitana B — Google review
The tar pits were a bit of a nightmare in their day - mucky tar under a body of water. Step in it and it was pretty much game over - and it was game over for thousands of prehistoric animals. This museum seeks to preserve these fossils and our community history with regards to this area. Multiple mastodons and sabre tooth tiger fossils abide within as well as a full wall of ancient wolf skulls - hundreds of them. Here you will learn of the tar pits, Southern CA history, and a heap of natural history. You get to see the pits, and what was found in the pits. The facilities here are fantastic - check out the website before you go as there are constant programs throughout the day. Parking can be tricky but there is a garage across the way and during the week, it wasn't too bad to get right on Center. This was an amazing journey - I felt like I was in Jurassic Park.

Spago, the renowned bistro by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, is a vibrant hub for those seeking innovative Californian cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's history is as captivating as its menu; it famously birthed the legendary smoked salmon pizza when Puck creatively substituted pizza crust for brioche at the request of actress Joan Collins.
Make reservations! The high quality ingredients are worth experiencing. I like how disciplined the dishes are: nothing is over seasoned, flavors just exist on the palate with minimal effort, ingredients speak for themselves. Can feel a bit crammed, loud, difficult to navigate through the tightly space tables, but as a result the energy and the enthusiasm is elevated throughout the restaurant. I DO NOT recommend the salmon pizza. It will make you super full so only order this signature dish, if you are going multiple times, sharing, or are ok with taking food home.

Came to this absolute classic and we were treated very well by our servers - the only reason they lost marks was that it was a little slow between bouts of attention. Food was good, not great, but the asparagus soup was incredible. The atmosphere felt a little fusty, old and low energy - but we did go on a Wednesday. Glad we ticked it off the list

Matt the maitre d' was wonderful greeting me, as I arrived a bit early, before opening. This was a great thing, as I got a glimpse of the man himself in the huddle as I sat at the bar! I didn't capture him in my pic. He walked through after I took it. The setting was relaxing and contemporary, with garden seating off the bar area and an enclosed area in the back. I sat in the open garden area as it was a lovely evening. The service was better than exceptional. 12/10 stars. Every server took care of every table, leaving no one passed by. Outstanding! The meal started with a chef's canapé of gruyere cheese mix in a choux served on a ceramic stump. One pop of absolute pleasure! I ordered the Jindori chicken and am so glad I went there instead of the gnocchi as I just wanted to jump into the potato puree and au jus and swim like Ann Margaret did in the beans in the movie Tommy! The crispy skin contrasting with the juicy chicken paired with the wild mushrooms... just WOW! I couldn't stop eating! Even though I was pretty full, I still couldn't pass up the Basque cheesecake. It was so soft and creamy in the middle you could schmere it! And you could see the millions of pure vanilla beans in the cream!! Yum! Topped with berries and whipped cream, this and a cappuccino were a perfect ending to my meal. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable meal and evening.

How much is still water? I learned a life lesson last night at Spago. This was my first time at Spago and the food was really quite good. We ordered a couple appetizers, our main courses and three desserts. The desserts were all excellent. So why the 3 stars? Well, that is where the life lesson comes in. We sat down and someone asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We ordered still and they brought a bottle of Acqua Panna. Now this is not some obscure Austrian bottled water. This seems to be the new standard water at So Cal restaurants. However, unlike other restaurants I have been to Spago, has decided to charge $12 a bottle. Maybe after we ordered the third bottle someone might have offered they had tap water. But nope we ordered 5 bottles and were charged $70 for them. I mentioned to the waiter at the end that my daughter was irritated by the price of the bottles and he laughed it off. I was also irritated but felt that is what I got for not asking about the price but I brought it up to the waiter for him to know $12 is a ridiculous price to pay for water. He still charged us the $70 which was 12% of our total bill. The water, in total, was our second most expensive item on our bill. Back to the life lesson I learned, which is to always ask for tap water. I just figured it might be $6 per bottle but nope I guess that is how they pay their rent by charging as much for a bottle of water as a bottle of beer. I hope they train their staff to include tap water as a water option. Would I recommend Spago to a friend? Sure, but I will definitely warn them to not order the still or sparkling water. As Joey Swoll might say, Spago do better!

The service was incredible. Wine and water were topped up without asking, service was discreet but efficient. Courses were timely and food was great. We sat on the patio, which was a decent size, but felt intimate. Decor was lovely. Allowed corkage, so the wine was fantastic ;) Stafford was accommodating when we had someone join for dessert - they just rolled with it to make room despite the restaurant being busy.

This location is an absolute gem and deserves high praise! From incredible service—thank you to Jonathon and the reception desk—to incredible food, we were pampered throughout the evening. That lox pizza and gem salad were wonderful starters! And that decadently rich gnocchi was beyond! (No regrets!) We followed with the lightly light and flavorful branzino, we were happy and full! (Somehow we also indulged in a little slice of creamy cheesecake.) Such a special place, with many celebrating blessings in their lives. Truly looking forward to returning soon. Thank you, all!

Performing arts theater
Auditorium
The Saban Theatre, a historic and iconic venue in Beverly Hills, has been a prominent hub for performing arts since 1930. With its stunning Art Deco decor, the theater hosts an array of events including concerts by legendary musicians, theatrical performances, and comedy shows. Notable figures like Paul Anka and Stevie Nicks have graced its stage. The venue offers a diverse range of shows from jazz to pop music.
A beautiful place! Its facade is a stunning blend of Art Deco elegance and vibrant colors, making it a striking landmark. Its ornate details and marquee create a captivating atmosphere that draws you in, perfectly setting the stage for the performances inside. A true gem in the heart of the city!

There was plenty of parking around the theater, and it was easy to find a spot. The hall itself looks a bit old and needs renovation, especially the floor and handrail coverings. But the biggest downside was how unbearably stuffy and hot it was during the concert. By the end, it felt like you could almost faint on the balcony.

A Night to Remember: The Temptations On January 17, 2023, The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills came alive with the timeless sounds of The Temptations. Fans of all ages gathered to witness an unforgettable evening filled with nostalgia, energy, and classic Motown magic. The venue itself added to the magic of the night. The Saban Theatre, with its beautiful Art Deco design, plush seating, and exceptional acoustics, created an immersive experience that perfectly complemented the legendary music. The rich sound quality made it feel as if the music was surrounding and embracing the audience, drawing everyone into the heart of the performance. From the moment the first notes of "My Girl" filled the theater, the crowd was hooked. The performers delivered soulful, pitch-perfect harmonies, effortlessly channeling the legendary group’s spirit. As they moved through hits like "Papa Was a Rolling Stone", "Can’t Get Next to You" and "The Way You Do the Things You Do" the energy in the room only grew. It wasn't long before fans were dancing in the aisles, completely lost in the music. A key ingredient to the magic of the night was the lineup itself, which struck the perfect balance between heritage and fresh energy. Otis Williams, the last surviving original member at 81, and Ron Tyson, celebrating his 40th year with the group, provided the authenticity and wisdom that define The Temptations' legacy. Meanwhile, the presence of Detroit native Jawan M. Jackson and Tony Grant infused a vibrant youthful dynamic, ensuring that the group’s iconic sound remains as powerful as ever. The atmosphere was electric—both joyous and sentimental. Each song transported the audience back in time, rekindling fond memories of The Temptations’ golden era. The stage presence, smooth choreography, and deep emotional connection with the crowd made this performance one for the books. The night at The Saban Theatre was more than just a concert—it was a celebration of legendary music that continues to inspire generations. Those in attendance left with their hearts full and melodies still echoing in their minds. If you ever have the chance to experience The Temptations' music live, don’t hesitate. It’s a performance that stays with you long after the final note fades.

Beautiful theater, easy entry, comfortable seats, clean. Parking is tricky and will have you lined up around the block just to enter the parking garage. Arrive earlier than you think you need to.

Went to see the Candlelight concert and it was a great experience. They played classical as well as pieces from films, Bach and The exorcist were my favorite. Beautiful place and it's very spacious. It was also my first time here 🙂

I love the Saban theatre. I attended a Greg Braden workshop. He was excellent. All the people greeting everyone as we walked in the door were kind and warm. The toughest part about the theater is parking until you know where to go. The parking garage is in the building next door to the right as you're facing the theater. For events it's $17 to park. Which is kind of expensive but it's much better than trying to find a spot nearby. There's a lot of construction going on around the theater. We had great food trucks for lunch though. The food was awesome and it's really nice to support the people who are operating the trucks and making the food on site. I've been to the theater twice and enjoyed both events that I've gone to.

A gem in a metropolitan area with many of them. You've probably seen it in TV shows like Glee. Its art deco decor is gorgeous, the seats are roomie and comfortable and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The lobby is spacious with choices for food and drink, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The stage is large and well-maintained. I will say that the lighting on stage is sometimes a bit harsh, cold, and sterile. Needs more warmth. Orange tones and cutting out blue would help a lot and be more flattering to performers and presenters. The sound is decent, though it gets echoey, which makes it hard to understand speakers from certain parts of the theater. Less reverb on people who are talking would help. The website says they show films there. I've never seen one in the space, but that would be cool.

Painting studio
Color Me Mine is a delightful paint-your-own ceramics studio that invites both kids and adults to unleash their creativity. With a welcoming atmosphere, you can walk in anytime to select from an array of ceramic items like mugs, plates, and figurines. The process is simple: choose your piece, paint it with non-toxic and food-safe paints, and let the staff assist you with techniques before they fire your creation for pickup later.
Color Me Mine is a fantastic place for the whole family to enjoy. My family and I recently visited and had a blast painting pottery. There were so many options to choose from, and the staff was incredibly helpful in assisting us with our selections. The environment is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable for the experience. It was a great way to spend quality time together and create something unique that we can cherish for years to come. If you're looking for a fun and creative activity to do with your family or friends, I highly recommend visiting Color Me Mine.

We went here on 3/18/23. We made a reservation at 11am. It was so much fun picking out our design and painting them too. I wish we had more time than 2hours, we did feel rushed only because they had a party and were closing at 1pm that day. I would suggest having your plan or drawing in mind way before coming in. Only gripe was I wish they would have replaced the brushes though. They were kinda rough on the edges and frayed and looked like they were on their last leg. It was tough to paint fine lines like writing. Other than that, The staff was kind and answered our questions and were helpful. I would def come back again.

Helpful staff and lots of choices of things to paint. I've been here a few times and each time has been great. Came here last with my 18 month old and the staff was nice to help with getting her set up. Free 2 hour parking across the street or you can pay a meter. A little pricey (price of item, price to fire plus a price for each painter), but this isn't a daily or weekly things so it's fine with me. Great activity for relaxing and for young ones.

I had a great time at color me mine in Beverly Hills with my little nephew a few weeks ago. My only very small gripes are that their prices are really quite high, with a few extra costs you may fail to realize you’ll have yo incur (ie $10/person/day painting fee & admittedly quite nominal$1 fee for each piece to be glazed/fired after its complete. And with the costs of each piece already being marked up pretty extensively, although it’s a great experience to have and enjoy, I wouldn’t be recommending those with tighter budgets to be making this place a habit! I was also a bit disappointed in the fact that I never received a call for when our pieces were ready for pickup. Though to be fair to the business, the consumer KNOWS they’re going to be paying a lot more than they’d likely wish to and the staff is quite kind and helpful. I’d encourage those who can afford it to go on occasion bc memories like those are most often priceless. But if the budget’s a bit tight lately, maybe looking for a similar, cheaper alternative may be a better option! 🤷‍♀️

I brought my kids here on a Saturday to paint with my mids. At the time we came in to the store, there was also a little kid’s birthday party. I also noticed this place is also offering children’s art camp for the summer. As I was painting with my daughters, I noticed that the guy sitting at the table next to me was painting a ceramic pipe. I then noticed this store also sells ceramic bongs for customers to paint. I asked the lady working here why they are selling these items and she said she doesnt know why and several parents have asked the same thing. She told me to ask the owner. This is horrible! As an establishment that is catering to children and offering children’s art camps, they should NOT be selling these inappropriate items! I do not recommend this place to anyone with children!

This place is great - they are happy to have walk-ins although it never hurts on a weekend in case they have a private party. The staff are incredibly helpful to get you started. It’s not cheap but it’s in the middle of Beverly Hills so it’s also not shocking. Turnaround time for art to be ready is usually a couple of days as they put the pottery through the kiln and finish for you. It all comes out looking really nice, even if you aren’t a great artist.

The Museum of Tolerance is an educational center that boldly addresses issues of bigotry and racism. It features impactful exhibits on the Holocaust, including film footage and a unique 'passport' experience that tells the story of a child affected by the Nazis. The museum also showcases an exhibit dedicated to Anne Frank, offering immersive environments and multimedia presentations. Additionally, visitors can explore Simon Wiesenthal's Vienna office, preserved exactly as it was during his pursuit of justice for war criminals.
This was my second time coming here,I enjoyed it, I'm glad I was able to bring my teenager to experience this for the first time. It's a beautiful experience, an imaginable thing at that. We also did the Anne Frank it was a beautiful tribute.

You have to reserve a time slot. I recommend this museum 1000%. I learned so much more about the holocaust and even got to hear a survivor speak around 1pm. It is a great way to learn history and really put yourself in the shoes of the Jews who suffered. There is a wall of clothes that represents the 1.5 million children who died. I definitely felt the experience. They have an amazing tour that moves along to inform you. Underground parking as well. I went on a Sunday.
Patti C — Google review
The museum honors the Holocaust as well addressing current issues around justice including policing, climate change, and other relevant issues. The permanent exhibit that walks through the conditions and complacency and indifference that allowed for the rise of the Nazi regime is well curated.

I went when I was in high school, there was a special guest survivor of the aftermath. It was very touching to hear her story, and very sad. But I believe it is a great experience in my opinion, to make sure that something like that never happens again.

My friend and I visited after we discovered we had both gone in middle school. It had been 15 years since then and of course we expected things to be different…. But it was too different and quite frankly a bit boring. We didn’t go with a group, and perhaps that’s where we went wrong. With no tour guide, we were just walking around reading all of the exhibits. Every exhibit just seems to be a series of tv screens displaying images and information. It gave all the right information without invoking any real emotion. With the way things are right now [in our country], I feel these exhibits are cold. Visitors need a more tangible experience.

This place is so important, let us never forget what hatred can lead to

I came for the famous sandwiches and for cremeaux de bourgogne with truffles. The cheese is amazing, just like the one I had in Paris. I got the la Zucca sandwich but it was not for my taste. It has basil pesto, which I don't like and also a feta cheese sort of spread. It was not the right combination for me, but I shared it with someone and they loved it, so it's just me, not the sandwich 😅 The staff was kind and knowledgeable.

*Takeout review* Today I ordered their pasta salad, grilled vegetables, and arugula, lemon salad with two sides of tuna. The grilled vegetables and pasta salad were both fantastic ! The portions were a bit small for the price but the flavor for both was good. The arugula lemon salad was a little bland and the portion size of the tuna was also a bit small for the price.

The store is nice with variety of imported food but I found it hard to know what’s they are selling from the lack of menu and price stickers on the items. It’s a long line wait to be served or order anything. I wish they had a menu and price so I knew what I wanted to order instead of waiting for my turn. LOVED the Star Trek Discovery costume exhibit. It was wonderful to see these up close . I had no idea the fabrics were as lovely as they are in person. The amount of detail is mesmerizing. Deltas everywhere! Extremely friendly staff, and when I visited they were playing women's World Cup games in their well-sized (though over-air conditioned!) theater. Right after that, they played an episode from Voyager. It was hard to leave.

Wish I could give 3.5 stars. The staff here are incredible and very nice. I was hoping to have a more robust museum experience, but instead there are a few art pieces and an extensive video gallery. I could spend all day watching old and rare video from TV history. I wish there were more historical pieces like old TV guides, set pieces, scripts, stand alone video features, etc. It was decorated very much for the holidays and for selfies, but it could use a little more oomph, especially for the location. Perhaps more interactive such as Star Trek set piece for selfies, Sesame street background, Johnny Carson desk & mic, etc. Considering the cost is suggested donation, I think the Paley is a wonderful place and would recommend.

Excellent free exhibits are almost always available in the lobby and galleries. You get a close up view of costumes and props, and sometimes even immersive VR views of the sets. Upstairs there's a free viewing room where you can see rare kinescope recordings of early TV shows, most of which you can't view elsewhere. The Paley hosts many events where the public can meet the cast and creatives behind today's popular shows. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And you can park free for two hours across the street under crate and barrel. A must-see stop for anyone visiting Beverly Hills.

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is a modern museum dedicated to the history of film in the United States and around the world. Visitors are greeted by a grand lobby before ascending to the second floor and crossing an elevated walkway into the Sphere Building, which houses a stunning 966-seat theater with plush, cupholder-free seats and multiformat projection capabilities. As the largest museum in the U.S.
The exhibits are beautifully curated, with iconic props and costumes that feel like stepping into film history. I especially enjoyed seeing the behind-the-scenes details from classic and contemporary films. The rooftop offers stunning views of the Hollywood Hills, a perfect way to end the visit. It’s a place that makes you appreciate cinema on an entirely new level.

Great place to visit especially if visiting from out of town. $25 for all they have to see is an excellent price! We went there middle of the week and it wasn’t crowded or over populated. They have a bar & dining area which is super cool! We especially enjoyed the JAWS exhibition and the Beauty & the Beast display (just gorgeous)!

This is an excellently put together museum. They had the 50th anniversary exhibition of Jaws and that was fantastic. As with most of the exhibits it not only tells the story of the movie but how the different components that go into making the film. Lots of original items. $25 entry fee was definitely value for money as went spent 4hrs walking around seeing everything, including the view from the roof. My only criticism was some of the exhibit layouts wasn't linear. You could go multiple routes. This might be useful when it's busy, but on the Monday lunchtime we went it wasn't busy and just meant checking you hadn't missed anything. The opportunity to take a photo on a reproduction of the Godfather office set was a nice touch as was the photo opportunities walking the Oscar carpet Godfather office and the arm on the amity beach.

The place had a nice atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They approached us as needed, and even though it was busy, buying tickets was quick and easy. It’s also great that admission is free for people under 17, and they offer student discounts. Overall, it was a really nice experience. I enjoyed the Jaws and Barbie exhibits. The displays were super cool and detailed! Plus, there are lots of other museums nearby that people can visit, which makes it a great area to explore.

I loved this museum! My husband and I are big movie buffs and enjoyed reading about the history of movies. We especially liked the Jaws exhibit. I was told we could get through the exhibit in a couple of hours, but we were there from 10:30- closing. We visited on a Sunday and even though it was busy, it wasn’t overcrowded. Get there early so you have time to see all the exhibits and especially if you want to watch one of the movies being shown. If you are really into movies, I recommend a trip to this museum.

Visiting the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures feels like stepping into an encyclopedia of cinema. The building itself, designed by legendary Italian architect Renzo Piano, is stunning - particularly the glass-sphere “dome” that houses the Dolby Family Terrace. If you go close to sunset, the view of the Hollywood Hills is truly memorable. Inside, the museum is spacious, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. What impressed me most was how immersive the exhibits are: iconic props, costumes, and behind-the-scenes artifacts are paired with interactive displays and detailed storytelling. The “Stories of Cinema” galleries are especially well done. They don’t just showcase film history - they dive into the craft, personalities, and innovations that shaped different eras. Fans of classic films, contemporary blockbusters, or global cinema will all find something that speaks to them. The Oscar Experience is a fun little extra. It’s cheesy in the best possible way - you step onto a stage, hear your name announced, and “receive” your award. It’s a guilty-pleasure moment that almost everyone seems to enjoy. Too bad Los Angeles is no longer the capital of Cinema nowadays, as the industry has moved elsewhere due to the high costs and taxation here in California.

Pretty informative, definitely worth a visit if you're in Downtown LA. Came here in 2025 September, the theme exhibit is JAW, getting to understand Steven Spielberg's intelligence of making JAW back in the 70s, you can only be amazed by how he structured his mental images into a all time classic movie. Other than JAW, the exhibits of Greenwood and Spencer, Cyberpunk, and the routine exhibit of film making industry, just amazing 🤩!!!

One of the best museums I’ve ever been too, the jaws exhibit was so interactive and informative. Each exhibit you’ll want to spend time reading at, we ended up going for about 2-3 hours. Bring a student ID if you’re a student, it makes tickets only $15

The El Capitan Theatre, originally a playhouse, has evolved into a renowned movie house in Los Angeles. It transitioned to showcasing films in 1941 with the premiere of Citizen Kane and was later renovated by Disney. The theater's Spanish Colonial architecture and 1920s Wurlitzer organ create a unique movie-going experience. With its single screen exclusively featuring Disney releases, including special events and accommodations for young viewers, the El Capitan offers an immersive cinematic journey for visitors.
Great place to watch movies! Atleast do it once and it will be worth it. They have interesting freebies and the organ player and the show before a premier movie. Disney movies are usually shown here.

I love this theater. The staff is excellent. It’s always spotless. Just a beautiful theater. On weekends there is pre movie entertainment. And there are often costumes and props from the current films on display.
Dawn C — Google review
This beautifully-restored movie theater is owned by The Walt Disney Company and is where most of their movies premiere. I have visited several times over the years and it's always nice to see what new things they're showing. In that particular evening that I went, they were rolling in a giant skull (the head of Jack Skellington) because they were going to show a special edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas. 10/10. Highly recommended spot to catch a movie.

Really great experience they had a lil show before the movie started and seeing was amazing no one's head blocks anyone anywhere you sit you do need to get there early to find parking and get in and get your stuff cuz it is a small lobby so go with time

attended the Freakier Friday showing at the iconic El Capitan Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The historic charm of the building adds so much character, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. While the popcorn was on the expensive side, it was delicious. A solid five-star visit!

One of my favorite movie venues! Historic, beautiful... Went to watch the Tron Triple Feature. Enjoyed unlimited popcorn and soda PLUS everyone received a bag of Tron gifts. Well worth the price and the time!

El Capitan I had a high regard for this establishment until the passing of a dedicated long-time employee. This individual consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, rarely taking time off and was an exemplary worker, as corroborated by other employees. Unfortunately, the company failed to pay suitable tribute to him, which has led me to decide against patronizing this business in the future. He was a valued member of the team and well-liked by many. The company's response has revealed their priorities regarding certain employees. R.I.P MARVIN SOLORZANO Forever in our heart

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Beverly Hills, La Cienega Park & Community Center is a beloved outdoor oasis that caters to both locals and visitors alike. This expansive recreational area features an array of amenities, including three baseball diamonds that transform into soccer fields during certain seasons, making it a hub for sports enthusiasts. For those looking to stay active, there’s a scenic jogging track and an outdoor fitness equipment pavilion where you can break a sweat while enjoying the fresh air.
Great park to relax and walk. It is clean and the security guard is friendly. Located across the tennis center, the park has picnic tables, workout equipment, a playgorund, baseball, and soccer areas.

Great little park with a dirt track to run. A bunch of grass and goals to kick the ball and a few free workout machines.
Michael S — Google review
I remember that I went to this park years ago and it was full of homeless but now it's better, there's even a security guard. I always feel safer, the bathrooms are clean, and there's a baseball and football field, the only bad thing is the parking lot Most are with permission and there are few parks but this park is beautiful.
NATYP — Google review
The park security is a nightmare. I have been told I can’t set up a lounge chair and kicked out while a homeless person was jerking off 15 ft away in the corner of the baseball fields. Also, have witnessed multiple overdoses with ambulance coming and using narcan. Pretty area but short fat park guards that have power trips and are too scared to actually stop real issues in the park
Jake D — Google review
I was here on Saturday morning and what I saw is a great park for walkers, runners and families with kids. Very clean restrooms. Water fountain works. Didn't see homeless people around.
Bool F — Google review
The park is located right across the Tennis Center. Good place to jog, rest, sit or exercise. The park has an area for baseball, soccer and exercise equipment. Kids can play in the playground.
Tahseena K — Google review
I love this park. It's great for so many things. The playground is the best. It has equipment for multiple ages from toddler to school age kids. It has swings, rockwall, baseball fields, concession stand with actual food, drinks and snacks. Vending machines that actually work. Tables, some with chess boards and benches throughout the park. It's great for taking a baby strollers or a going for a jog. I'm not sure if it has grills in the park but it would definitely be a good location to have a get-together with a large or small group. I love it most for the playground and that it's in walking distance from my home.

Dog park
Beverly Hills Dog Park, situated at 344 North Foothill Road, offers separate off-leash areas for both small and large dogs. Prior registration and obtaining a dog tag permit are necessary to visit with your pet. The park is well-maintained with clean play areas, shaded spots, and water stations in each section. The friendly rangers ensure a pleasant experience for visitors and their furry companions.
Two parks for small and large dogs. Plenty of space for fetch. Need code to enter or have a patron open the gate.
Enrique M — Google review
Beware! You can't just show up and access the park! You need to apply for a dog license for entry, then they give you a keyfob to get in through the gates. You have to have your dog vaccinated and spayed/neutered.
Erin W — Google review
If I could give it zero stars I would. Drove here because there is not a ton of fenced parks for off leash pets and it was a fob entry. It’s a public park! Absolutely elitist for no reason. Don’t even bother
Maggie M — Google review
Great dog park that is tucked away on Foothill. They have separate large breed and small breed sections. You need to apply for a license and then they give you a FOB key to get in through the double gates. You have to have your dog vaccinated and spade/neutered. The only down side is that there is absolutely no grass so expect a very dirty dog after you leave.
Sharona K — Google review
As a Beverly Hills resident, I see no benefit in limiting access to the dog park. These facilities rarely attract large crowds, with daily visitation typically capped at around two dozen individuals. This low usage rate ensures minimal to no impact on local traffic, air quality, or noise levels. Moreover, it's illogical to restrict entry to a facility that is often VIRTUALLY ALWAYS EMPTY, as it diminishes the very purpose of having such a resource.
MK 2 — Google review
You “need” a FOB to enter according to the sign that doesn’t cite any law. Lights don’t turn on so not sure what they’re there for. Then again they say the rich are the cheapest. Good dirt though and was empty near closing. Some guy had a big dog in the small dog area. They started barking at us before we went in so I’m assuming the dogs in this area might be less behaved.
Sørine A — Google review
It's great, you need a FOB from the city to get in so you know all the dogs have had their vaccinations which is a big plus in my book. All the doggos are nice dogs. I would highly recommend!
Bethany A — Google review
Sandy dog park with shade umbrellas. Large dog area is quite a bit larger than it would seem from the entrance. Sometimes the resident key fob does not works, but you can just reach over and open the door from the inside if you are tall enough. Very nice people. Very nice dogs in here.

Very Friendly Staff and great Chocolate Flavor selections.
A J — Google review
I have eaten and tasted a LOT of fancy, expensive chocolate and Edelweiss chocolates still rank among my favorites. I’ve also given them out as gifts and always got rave reviews from the recipients. I’d describe this as a more traditional chocolate - classic and tried-and-true, not avant-garde. The dark chocolate orange slices and Katharine Hepburn’s chocolate turtles are my favorite.
Grace C — Google review
This is another one of our longest running, locally owned businesses with a long tradition of legendary customers such as Frank Sinatra and Madonna. While chocolate is always good any time of year, there is something special about Edelweiss and the onset of the holiday season. Just walking by the place will get you in the mood. They have all kinds of gift arrangements perfect for any occasion, but our favorite is just the trays of various chocolates, mix and match. No matter what you're looking for, you will find something wonderful in here.
BJGZ H — Google review
They make their own marshmellows. I love their dark chocolate; rich tasting and not too sweet. A nice, luxurious, yet affordable treat in Beverly Hills.
Charles C — Google review
This the best chocolate I've ever eaten and staff was so wonderful. Lisa is very sweet and remembered us after just one time of stoping by. The wrapping is so beautiful and elegant. The almond truffle is my favorite. This place is a hidden gem 💎
Elesia L — Google review
A great gem nestles amongst the high fashion that is Beverly Hills. Perhaps the most affordable thing to be had in Beverely Hills. Not cheap by any means but where else can you have chocolates where Frank Sinatra and Katherine Hepburn bought theirs. Owner was very accomodating and gave us a tour of the operation. Saw where i Love Lucy chocolate making episode was born. Dont miss out. Chocolates were delicious, will return.
Pepe 1 — Google review
Not good. About 3 bucks per chocolate and just not good. Tastes like something 100 years old. I don’t know how to describe it. The flavors are as if they use fake flavoring and coloring. Basically the fruit crème is like the Cadbury egg type crème. The chocolate is bitter and off. There’s no complexity to it. Everything tastes kind of coffee like, too. Not a fan at all. Nice lady though.

Beverly Hills 9/11 Memorial Garden is a memorial park in Beverly Hills, California, United States that commemorates the September 11 attacks. The gardens feature sculptures of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, as well as other key sites of the terrorist attacks.
It's sad that there are only 11 reviews of this place (as of 3/30/21). The magnitude of tribute that comes out of this small plot is absolutely flooring. I am sure you've driven past this 500 times and even knew it existed. Do yourself a favor and make a point to check it out. It is the most thoughtful memorial to 9/11 outside the crash sites.

Amusement park
Universal Studios Hollywood is a sprawling amusement park in Los Angeles, known as The Entertainment Capital of L.A. It offers a unique cinema-themed experience with rides, restaurants, shops, and shows. Visitors can explore movie sets and enjoy attractions like Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, King Kong 360 3-D Studio Tour, Transformers: The Ride-3D, The Simpsons Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurassic Park - The Ride.
So much fun. We're usually a Disney family but have wanted to visit Universal for a while and finally got our chance. It was actually quite a welcome change from the crowds of Disneyland. It would get very busy of an afternoon, mainly because we visited on Halloween horror nights and the crowds would arrive for that, but we managed to ride everything and were able to time it so we had less than half an hour waits for everything. We will definitely return to Universal again.
Bec M — Google review
We went on a Sunday in late October. There were minimal lines to get on the rides and the weather was nice and cool. Got to ride all of the rides, enjoy the studio tour, have lunch, a few snacks, and enjoy our time together. We definitely will be back. Keep in mind that the park closes early during the Hollywood Horror Night season & that is a separate entrance fee.
Twila K — Google review
PERFECT 2-Day Weekday Trip - We Did It ALL! Just got back from a fantastic 2-day trip to Universal Studios, and going on a weekday was the absolute best decision! The crowds were so much more manageable than on weekends. We were able to ride every single major attraction, some of them even two or three times without breaking a sweat. The attention to detail here is incredible. From the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (butterbeer is a must-try!) to the mind-blowing Studio Tour and the intense Jurassic World ride, every area was immersive and so much fun. The new Super Nintendo World is a total game-changer, it feels like you've literally jumped into the video game. If you can swing it, I 100% recommend the 2-day weekday strategy. It felt relaxed, we saw everything we wanted, and it was worth every single penny. An unforgettable experience!
Diddy L — Google review
It was great! We purchased the daily express pass, and within 6 hours, we completed all the rides, including the studio tour. We were a group of four, and we had a blast. We went on a Saturday. The park was not really busy, and the weather was fantastic (74°F). Even the parking was easy; we parked in the general parking area, which cost $35, and the walking distance was not bad. Of course, the whole cost of the day was high, but we had a lot of fun and no regrets.
Ingrid Y — Google review
Universal Studios is an incredibly fun and well-designed park with tons to enjoy. The rides are exciting, immersive, and full of great special effects—definitely a highlight of the visit. The themed areas are impressive, and it’s easy to spend the whole day exploring without getting bored. The only downsides are the long lines during peak hours and the higher prices for food and drinks, which can add up quickly. Even so, the overall experience is fantastic. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lively, and the park offers something for all ages.
Diego S — Google review
Amazing place for a full day of fun! The rides, shows, and movie sets are exciting and entertaining for all ages. The staff is friendly, the park is clean, and every visit feels like a new adventure. Highly recommend for families and tourists!
Edo — Google review
A great park. A lot of fun to visit. The wizarding world is fun if you're into Harry Potter, and the whole park has some great rides. My son loved Nintendo world. He had a great time on the Mario Kart ride, and we got him a power band so he could play all the interactive stuff. I really enjoyed the backlot tour, and seeing some of the sets and locations from Hollywood History. Overall, this was a one-day park for our family. We had a fun day, and we enjoyed it, but more than one day would have been too much. Be warned that you should check the hours before you visit. Some days it opens at 8, some days it opens at 10.
Geoff — Google review
This place has grown since i last visited and all for the better. So worth the price of admission and can't wait to go back. The Simpsons, Harry Potter, Nintendo, Transformers, Jurassic World; where can ya go wrong? Harry Potter and Nintendo was the highlights attractions and loads of time could be spend there. Can't wait to see the new coaster in play, looks amazing!

Situated at the eastern end of the renowned "Miracle Mile" in Los Angeles, the Petersen Automotive Museum has been a prominent attraction since 1994. Boasting a diverse collection of over 300 vehicles, including restored antiques, race cars, and famous movie vehicles like one of the Batmobiles, this museum offers an immersive experience for car enthusiasts. With five galleries showcasing rotating exhibitions and automotive memorabilia, visitors can explore the rich history of automobiles.
Peterson Automotive Museum is one of the best museums I’ve ever been to and an absolute dream place for any car and car culture lover. Several floors of curated cars including the history of the American automotive industry, the future of driverless cars, famous cars seen on TV and in the movies. The layout of the exhibitions is well planned and spacious. Lots of info and photo reference for each car and there are even tours run by the museum. The racing history section is really cool and there is also a sim for visitors to try - be sure to book for this as it gets busy. Do not pass on The Vault, located in the basement and housing hundreds and hundreds of cars from every era. Including a room dedicated to F1 cars. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, be sure to ask them all the question as what they know is truly impressive and they are all car enthusiasts. Excellent museum and so glad I visited.

Excellent selection of stunning cars. The variety was fantastic. Went here on a Sunday with my son. It was very easy to park and enter the museum. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a place for kids to do some crafts, build Lego cars and sit in a couple cars. The Vault was a must see. Absolutely loved the selection, especially the Formula 1 cars for my son. We were able to get really close to the cars and it wasn't too crowded. We had a great time here and I would highly recommend visiting.

The Peterson Automotive Museum is one of the most definitive car collections every assembled. Whether you are a lifelong enthusiast or casual visitor, the Peterson is a must -see. Located along Wilshire Boulevard's Museum Row, the Peterson is features a red facade wrapped in sweeping stainless steel ribbons. Inside the museum houses more than 300 iconic cars across three floor ranging from early automotive icons to cutting edge supercars, concept vehicles and movie props. Each portion of the gallery tells a distinct story and highlights the evolution of racing, engineering and design. The experience is thoughtfully curated, balancing historical insight with modern flair. Interactive exhibits and immersive displays make the museum accessible for all ages, while serious enthusiasts can explore “The Vault,” a guided underground collection showcasing some of the rarest and most historically significant cars in the world. Highlights include presidential/state vehicles, cars from the roaring 20s, F1, restored classics, and ultra rare variants. Note that The Vault is an additional fee on top of the regular museum admission, but well worth it for the automotive enthusiast. The Peterson delivers an all ages experience that is both educational and unforgettable!

This place is definitely my favorite car museum in the world. I had the pleasure of having Jeff as one of my guides. He is absolutely amazing. The knowledge that that man contains about the vehicles that are in that facility are unmatched. He completely made my day with the stories he knew in the history of the vehicles. Do yourself a favor if you’re gonna come out to this museum, do not skip out on the vault you will regret it. Going to this place for me was like going down memory lane and bringing back all the best memories of my childhood if you love vehicles you’re in the right place.

A MUST VISIT for any automotive enthusiast, the cars here were insane and so overwhelming by the scale of this collection. Highlights were the CLK GTR, Enzo, and EB110. If you even only like cars this is worth a trip. Me and my friend were amazed by the scale and the Vault is 100% worth it, less crowded and contained some incredible cars. We left feeling like we could come back again and again and still find more to see. Parking was tough, the sign said “Lot Full” but we pulled in and found a spot luckily when someone was leaving. Overall a 10/10

The Museum of Flying, located in Southern California, is a tribute to the region's rich aviation history. Founded by Donald Douglas, Jr., the museum showcases historic aircraft and artifacts, including exhibits related to the Douglas Aircraft Company. Visitors can explore a variety of planes, replicas, and models such as the iconic Douglas DC-3 Spirit of Santa Monica. The museum also features a FedEx airplane cockpit for unique photo opportunities.
First I would have said it's just too small of a museum. After visiting it, I say it's well worth a stop. Laid back atmosphere, I was there basically alone with my son. Very nice display and story of Douglas history. Very nice employees. Totally recommend. 10$ adults, 6$ children.

Wonderful museum. Not busy during the day - was basically all to myself. Really cool models and retired planes. They recommend you start off with the Wroght Brothers' section. Inspirational! And make your way through to today's air and spacecraft by the end. They have a section on the second floor honoring the female heroes in aviation. Really nice to see. Many names, I'd not heard of or hadn't known well.

Museum of Flying (est 1974) is a 22,000 sq ft aerospace museum in Santa Monica, CA. This museum exhibits aviation history, a dozen aircrafts including a replica of the Wright bros and a Max FS 3000 simulator. MOF is basically a hanger with a mezzanine. I have been to every aerospace museums in LA/OC except this one. It’s very organized and well maintained; you can go through the entire exhibits in <90 minutes. Staff were cordial. Admission ticket is affordable. Souvenir shop is very small with very limited merch and stuff. Overall, it’s a nice lil museum good for family and kids to visit.

I have repeatedly called and emailed the museum to offer them assistance in expanding the information on The 1924 First World Flight, and including the story of Cornelia Fort, the first female aviator killed on active duty in 1943. Maybe this one star review will catch their attention. I even drove all the way out their from Nashville, TN!!
Bob H — Google review
My three-year-old boy had the best time here! The museum is quiet and not busy—many things to see and experience, including going inside some airplanes and even a small movie theater. What I like about the museum is that it’s not too stimulating! There is enough space between each exhibit, easy free parking, and quick pay at the front desk. This museum is suitable for adults too, as there are many things to see and to read about. I educated myself on something I didn’t know. If you have an hour to kill while you are in Santa Monica, this is an excellent option for you and/ or your kids.
