Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Curaçao Sea Aquarium is a must-visit family-friendly attraction offering live shows with dolphins and sea lions, as well as interactive experiences with sharks and stingrays. Visitors can opt for the Ocean Lens experience to observe the island's marine life without getting wet or engage in the Sea Lion Encounter for an adorable interaction. For a more thrilling adventure, there's the opportunity to feed sharks during the Animal Encounter.
I went a few years ago and loved it! It's small compared to other aquariums I've been to, but it's very pretty and offers the experience of having a dolphin kiss you on the cheek for a photo. I loved the experience; I love Curacao.
Kristy R — Google review
Beautiful sea aquarium with gorgeous views views of the Caribbean Sea. Lots of animals to see including a movie theater with an awesome show of snorkeling along the coastline of the island. My only suggestion is to invest more in the upkeep of the facility in particular the tanks that need cleaning and painting. The arrival are for the buses also need better landscaping to be kept up.
GQ T — Google review
The dolphins are amazing. And smart. We donate dolphin encounter. It was $114. So I guess not bad it was an hour and half. With about 20 minutes in the water with the dolphins. They have other things to see as well. Small aquarium but definitely something else to do if you need a break from the beach. Or if you have kids with you.
Azarria W — Google review
The highlight of this aquarium is the dolphins' show. The pools are integrated to the sea so the dolphins look much better located than in other aquariums. The rest of the aquarium is very basic and has few exhibitions.
Carlos G — Google review
My daughter and I had a BALL at the aquarium! We went to the Dolphin Academy and interacted with the dolphins, saw flamingoes, walked around and just had a great time exploring the area! A MUST-DO when in Curaçao!🇨🇼💕
Deb P — Google review
A beautiful aquarium, with wonderful staff and amazing animals to see. The setting is breathtaking. Even tho the aquarium is not the biggest, there is plenty to see and do there. I would definitly recommend to pay the sea aquarium a visit if you can!
Daniel T — Google review
It was wonderful. Cost about 20 dollars. Got to watch people have the dolphin experience. It was very chill not overly crowded. Everyone seemed nice and very informative. Will return

Caverns & Caves
Hato Caves, located in the northern part of Curacao near the airport and cruise port, are a popular attraction offering guided tours through limestone formations that are around 300,000 years old. The cave system features impressive stalactites, stalagmites, a water pool, and ancient cave drawings. Visitors can also observe two rare bat species hanging from the cave's ceilings. The caves have historical significance as they were once used as hiding spots by escaped slaves.
If you enjoy the beauty of nature and have a sense of adventure, Hato Caves is a great destination. There was a short wait and a bit of a climb, but it's well worth it. The guide we had was knowledgeable and while their primary role is to keep things moving and keep people safe, their presence was worthwhile. The caves themselves were spectacular. Because they are so large and well lit, I didn't experience claustrophobia the way I had previously in some smaller caves. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Dylan G — Google review
Would definitely recommend you do this at the earliest part of the day that you can as the stairs are very steep to enter and the caves can get VERY hot and humid. There are quite a lot of fans throughout the cave but it still gets quite hot. Loved the experience and the tour guide was excellent.
Rajesh B — Google review
These caves are very close from the airport and they are very interesting and beautiful inside. They are not that big but still you can enjoy something unique. There are tours in English and Spanish. You cannot enter alone and you must go with a guide. They only let you take pictures at some specific points sadly. The entrance fee for tourists is $10.
Diego R — Google review
We visited Hato Caves while driving around the island. They have tours every half hour and were able to walk right into one. You climb several steps to get up to the caves. Tour was 45 min total. Very interesting inside. Grounds are beautiful. Guide was very knowledgeable. Fans running the caves to keep air flowing. Check out our full video and other videos of our Curacao adventures on YouTube: Wandered Off
Wandered O — Google review
Whenever I have the opportunity to explore a cave, I take it—and Hato Cave did not disappoint! The 30-minute guided tour offers a fascinating look into the island's interior landscape. The cave is well-lit throughout, making it easy to navigate and appreciate the features without worry. You’ll encounter stunning formations of stalagmites and stalactites that make the cave incredibly unique. Keep an eye out for the small bats that call this place home—you might spot them fluttering overhead or nestled in the darker corners. One thing to note: despite being in a cave you are not deep underground, so the cave is surprisingly warm, so don’t expect a cool escape from the heat. Overall, it’s a unique and worthwhile stop for anyone interested. Also, there are quite a few stairs to get up into the cave, so those with poor knees may want to pass.
Dan B — Google review
This was an amazing tour of the caves. Mr Daisy took his time to explain the formation and history of the caves and show us its wonders. He speaks 4 languages so everyone was included.
Shanon A — Google review
Great experience, the stairs take your time cause its a workout. The tour was very interesting with learning so much about the cave and bats.

Very instructive for the kids and knowing about the island formation. It’s nice walk for Indian trail that they have in the same place

The Curaçao Ostrich Farm, situated in the northeastern part of Willemstad, offers guided tours and ostrich feedings in a South African-themed setting. The farm is home to around 400 ostriches, with most living away from the public eye to ensure a relaxed environment for the animals. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions like the Aloe Vera Farm and Serena's Art Factory on their way to the Ostrich Farm.
Great service , friendly staff, amazing and knowledgable staff as well as guided tours. Definately recommended! Consider camping possibilities and don't forget to check the menu at the Zambesi restaurant!
Steven D — Google review
Wonderful experience for my son and myself, we learned a lot about Istriches, my son was trilled with safari and workshop after. Thanks to our guide I believe her name was Ruth who answered all of the questions my little son asked we had so much fun!!! Special thanks to Iraida Salesia from Curacao Ostrich Farm who came and pick us from resort and brought us back for a reasonable price. A+++++++++++++
Nataliya C — Google review
Nice place, I learned a lot about ostriches about how they grow and live. The staff was very informative and we got a chance to feed them and enjoy the scenery. Nice place to visit.
LC C — Google review
The tour guide (Alexander) was amazing. He told us everything about the farm and ostrich behavior with great enthusiasm and passion. Yours are every hour. You know basically everything about ostriches after the tour and you get to feed them!
Joris B — Google review
We rented a car for the day while on vacation in Curaçao and the Ostrich Farm was our first stop. We weren’t expecting too much but ended up really enjoying it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. There were new born piglets there as well that were sooo cute. Also found some cool souvenirs!
Ashley S — Google review
We love visiting here regularly. The farm offers a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. They have a gift shop, a restaurant, and plenty of wild animals roaming around. We enjoy having lunch at the restaurant, especially the delicious ostrich burger and refreshing drinks. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The farm tour is a lot of fun, packed with great information and very educational. The tower view offers stunning views of the kite surfing beach and the surrounding valley. Highly recommend this place!
Kimberly P — Google review
Fun local activity in Curacao. Only $20 to take a guided safari tour, full of education. You're able to feed the ostrich, stand on a real egg, and check out the other farm animals. There's also a restaurant and gift shop on site. However don't expect the opportunity to ride one, the farm quit offering that 5yrs ago for the safety of humans and birds.
Molly G — Google review
Very informative tour guide. Learnt a lot about these animals and their habits. I didn't wait around to eat from the restaurant but this is indeed worth the tour.

Museum Kura Hulanda in Curacao is a significant site that educates visitors about the island's role in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Located in Willemstad, where enslaved individuals were once traded, this museum offers a comprehensive overview of this dark period in history. Through its exhibits featuring documents and artifacts, it effectively communicates the impact of slavery and promotes understanding and unity. Additionally, the museum sheds light on the island's history as a cultural melting pot.
Museum Kurá Hulanda is a fascinating journey through history, spanning cultural areas and time periods such as the transatlantic slave trade, West African Empires, Mesopotamian relics, and Antillean art. We chose to explore with a tour guide, which turned out to be an excellent decision—there’s so much to take in, and the guide added depth and context to the experience. While the exhibits are incredibly enriching, some of the topics are emotionally heavy, so be prepared for that. Overall, it’s worthwhile for anyone interested in the Antilles history and culture.
Tanyia J — Google review
A really impressing exhibition. Slavery and colonialism is part of Curacaos history. I had a guide which explained good, but going in the deep it is better walking around alone. Unfortunately I think there is no much caring about actualizing. It looked like as if nothing had been done for 30 years. Fotos and copies of documents are fading. But I was really touched. Worth a visit and thinking a bit about Imperialism, modern slavery, tyrans, autocracies … and drinking a lot of rum after the conclusion, that mankind is Not willing to learn …
Elisabeth H — Google review
My wife and I loved the museum. We easily lost track of time and spent 2 hours viewing the different exhibits. My only complaint is that the lighting on some of the exhibits were poor.
Frank U — Google review
My women's group took a guided tour here. It was very informative and overwhelming moving. Going down to the hull of the slave ship had me in tears. It's one thing to read about them, but seeing it was heartbreaking. I definitely recommend taking the tour when in Curacao.
Katrena “ — Google review
Kura Hulanda is wonderful place to lean about the Atlantic slave trade from a Dutch and Curacao point if view. The museum is broken up into sections and it also includes North American and United States history of slavery and oppression. I really appreciated the artifacts displayed. You can opt in for a guided tour for an additional fee (cash only).
Erika W — Google review
I was hoping for a little more information and explanation of the items in the exhibition. Even though the museum has a large amount of historical content and you can lose track of time some exhibition information is getting washed by the time. Also you can feel a foul smell at some point. With my girlfriend opted for not paying for a guide which was additional to the entrance fee but might recommend it to get more information on the exhibitions.
Francisco U — Google review
Missed this on our other visits to the island, but glad we took the time. This is an unexpected collection of high quality pieces and a hidden gem. Definitely worth spending the extra money for the guided tour.

The Queen Emma Bridge, affectionately known as the "Swinging Old Lady," is a remarkable pedestrian pontoon bridge that dates back to 1888. This iconic structure gracefully opens to allow ships to pass, making it a unique feature of Willemstad's waterfront. As you stroll across this floating marvel, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the vibrant cityscape adorned with colorful Dutch colonial buildings.
Beautiful pontoon bridge made of wooden planks for pedestrians in the heart of downtown Willemstad. The bridge makes way for ships and boats when they're crossing the bay. The best time to visit the beach is during the sunset as the bridge is lit up in colourful lights. You also get a great view of the colourful Victorian style buildings of Willemstad.
Savio D — Google review
Nice bridge to walk over. Its cool to see them open and close the bridge. Great views of town. Stop by during the day to see the beautiful colors of the buildings. Stop by at night to see the bridge and everything light up.
Sharon — Google review
The Queen Emma Bridge is such a fun experience! It swings open and closed to let boats pass, which is unique to watch. Just be mindful if you’re heading to a cruise or tour—sometimes it can stay open for up to half an hour, so plan ahead to avoid waiting.
Marta S — Google review
The Queen Emma Bridge is such a cool experience! The way it moves while you’re walking across feels so strange at first, but in the best way. The boats that hold it up are incredible to see up close—it’s truly one of a kind! At night, the bridge lights up beautifully, and the reflections on the water make it even more magical. Both sides of the harbor glow with color and energy. Definitely a must-see in Curaçao, both day and night!
S W — Google review
This is a working piece of history and a marvel of innovative solution to let large ships pass through. When lit at night, it's a beautiful view.
A J — Google review
This bridge is absolutely stunning. You can see both sides of willemstad. You can take beautiful pictures on this bridge. This bridge is also a moving bridge. On the other side of this bridge, definitely go check out the smoothie truck. This woman makes the best smoothies i ever had.
Diamondprincess3232 — Google review
It is a curious and nice experience to look at the bridge and see it while it opens, because some ships are coming through. It is a mandatory place to visit when you are downtown and you can take pictures of the colorful buildings from the other side (Otro anda). Obviously you must visit Otrobanda too and check out the colorful and nice commerce strip with a variety of shops. There are nice restaurants, bars and museums to check out.

Swim with Dolphins
Dolphin Academy Curacao is a unique oceanfront facility that offers interactive swimming and snorkeling experiences with trained dolphins in the open sea. Located at the popular Sea Aquarium Park, it provides various programs including dolphin encounters suitable for all ages, dolphin swims, dolphin snorkeling, and even open-water scuba dives with dolphins along the reef. One of its highlights is the opportunity to swim side by side with dolphins that choose when they want to interact with you.
This was an amazing and magical experience for my daughter and wife. We did the snorkel swim with the dolphins. The dolphins were very gentle very gentle with the children and very patient. Initially the cost gave me a little bit of a heartburn, but the experience was well worth every penny we paid.

THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER don’t overthink it JUST GO. It is very clear that the dolphins 🐬 love their trainees and that they are treated right. This was an excellent experience and for the price of snorkeling you can stay at the aquarium. Dolphins are very healthy, smart and agile creatures. You will learn a lot here. They treat them very very good i am glad I did it. The best aquarium i have ever been. JUST GO!! You won’t regret it. And the price it is very FAR almost cheap for all of what you get. Thanks for everything Dolphin Academy

We did the ABC cruise and I wanted my wife to get the opportunity to swim with dolphins. This is the only island that had this opportunity. Amazing place everyone is very friendly and will answer anything you ask. It's really cool they take the dolphins out of their lagoon to open sea often and listening to how they coordinate it. They actually have a YouTube video of them doing it. Definitely can tell they are well cared for and I cannot wait to visit again when we go back to the ABC's! Thank you again for such a memorable visit!
Curtis W — Google review
We did the Swimming with Dolphins encounter. Dolphins are really happy and friendly. You spend half hour with them in the water. Diving and swimming around with. The dolphins are allowed out in the open sea. Staff are friendly and really good to explain everything.
Tarjei H — Google review
while in curacao, we were told to try this out. we were excited for the dolphin swim but cannot begin to explain how much it exceeded our expectations. we expected to float in the water with a bunch of other guests, with dolphins swimming around. it was so much more than that. we were split into smaller groups with each group having allocated dolphins. we spent the entire time directly with our assigned trainer and dolphins who instantly enable you to learn how to interact with the dolphins. we swam, dove and got to interact directly with the dolphins. I highly recommend at least book the swim! it was incredible, thank you again!!
Jeremy B — Google review
A Magical Experience Swimming with Gentle Dolphins! Swimming with the sweet and gentle dolphins Annie and Rattina was truly an unforgettable experience! They were so playful and kind, and looking into their beautiful, curious eyes was pure magic. The staff made everything easy and enjoyable, and it felt amazing to connect so closely with these incredible animals. I would highly recommend this one-of-a-kind dolphin snorkel at the Curaçao Sea Aquarium — an absolute must-do while visiting the island! 🐬💙
Regina F — Google review
The dolphin snorkel was amazing! We were a family of 4 (kids 12/14) and this was one of the most unique experiences we have done in all our travels. You really get to interact with the dolphins. You do have to tread water for 25 mins, and need to be able to free dive with the dolphins, but it was amazing! They take lots of photos that you can purchase at the end of the event. Julia was the trainer with us, and she answered all our questions and was obviously very bonded with the dolphins. 10/10 for this expierence!! You need to book in advance and give yourself plenty of time for driving and parking.
A Y — Google review
If you want a GREAT experience with dolphins then you have to go to the Dolphin Academy in Curacao. Noel and Junior are great trainers who are very knowledgeable about the dolphins. They will ask ALL of your questions. You will have such an amazing time and the best part is that pictures are taken during your experience.

Mambo Beach, also known as Seaquarium Beach, is a bustling and popular destination located east of Willemstad. The beach offers white sands, clear blue waters, and a variety of amenities such as shops and a swimming area. Visitors can relax on the sun-kissed shores or explore nearby Playa Piskado for an unforgettable snorkeling experience with sea turtles.
Mambo beach is very relaxing, even though it is extremely busy. We had a really nice spot, close to the water. Staff from the restaurant takes orders where you sit on the beach, so you can relax and enjoy a cocktail. Swimming was nice and great to cool off from a very hot day. I really enjoyed Mambo beach.
Celest V — Google review
Mambo Beach is basically a boardwalk near a few resorts. The food at the restaurants on the ‘boardwalk’ is fair, not great. Though the service at each one we tried is good. The beach bars are fun, service is good. Rent beach chairs if you aren’t staying at one of the resorts… The beach is chill and fairly fun. We preferred the beach segment near Lionsdive, near the Hemingway… as you could see a nice assortment of fish while snorkeling. It was fun… Parking for Mambo seems straightforward, though we stayed at one of the resorts, so we didn’t need it. Its worth checking out. There is also a camera you can see the conditions of the beach from anywhere in the world, which is cute. It’s a family-friendly beach.
Jennida C — Google review
It is the closest beach to downtown Willemstad and that's why it is probably the most popular Also, this is the beach where the tourists from the cruises are taken so I do not recommend you to go those days. It is full of restaurants and bars and it has a rock wall that protects the shore. The beach is full of beds and other kinds of accommodations but you have to pay for them. The prices are not cheap but the place is very pretty.
Diego R — Google review
Cozy beach, perfect for families with kids as it’s not wavy. The water is clean and warm enough Chairs are $12-15 each. There’s a bar, restaurant
Roland V — Google review
Place to enjoy restaurant on a beach and crowded beach basically more people than beach area on a busy day like weekends. In general it’s a very active place, but, if you like this type of places this it’s your spot.
William H — Google review
The clearest water I have ever seen in my life. Everything is well kept and there are multiple food options. There is a no outside food policy which absolutely sucks. But other than that, it's a great beach.
Chris — Google review
Don‘t miss a visit to the famous Mambo beach, where you can swim in crystal-clear water and unwind on a picture-perfect shore.
Repi N — Google review
By far my favorite beach! The beach is a bit crowded sometimes (this shouldn’t be a problem as the beach is large) but very clean and the sand is soft as it’s not rocky nor full of shells/hard corals. Enjoy the view with the sunset and the beautiful restaurants nearby. The parking is for free and feel free to use the chairs at the beach free of charge.

Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, the oldest surviving synagogue in the Western Hemisphere, is a must-visit for those interested in exploring the unique history of Curacao. This historic site has been in regular operation since 1732 and offers tours, a Judaica museum, and a gift shop. Additionally, visitors can explore the Bleinheim and Beth Haim cemeteries to discover headstones that represent stories spanning Curacao's history.
very few people know of the jewish community in curaçao and even fewer know that it has been the first in the americas and the richest and most important until the mid 19th century. the synagogue is still active although the community is dwindling. the museum is small but very well organized and undeniably deeply cared for. definitely worth a visit.

Extraordinary and can’t miss in Curaçao 🇨🇼 It’s the oldest functioning synagogue in the Americas. It’s reform nowadays, very welcoming. Rabbi Hirsch is wonderful. Breathtaking beauty and you can’t help but get watery eyes after you understand the historical significance of this place.

Beautiful synagogue, as many have already mentioned it’s the oldest in the western hemisphere that still functions today! It’s apparently a replica of the original in Amsterdam, complete with the sand floor. I didn’t come for shul (I’m observant/orthodox and this is reconstructionist — observant folks, go to Chabad!) but I did morning prayers here before going to the museum. Such a joy to daven within the same walls as thousands of our ancestors have for hundreds of years.

We are not Jewish but love historical buildings. This place is simply beautiful. The sand floors. The museum. The timeline of Curaçao’s history and how the Jewish community impacted it. Highly recommend a visit! Check out our full video and other videos of our Curacao adventures on YouTube: Wandered Off

One of the oldest Synagogues in the Caribbean. Sand floor made from sand from Israel. Excellent museum. You should go for yourself!

It is an interesting synagogue. Unique to see how different groups practiced their faith.

A visit to the oldest surviving synagogue in the Americas is an absolute must. The history of this synagogue is very interesting and is explained in detail through a timeline display. It also goes into some of the history of Curacao which I found very useful and informative. Next to the synagogue is the museum, which is considered to be a "living museum" meaning a lot of items on display are used for service or special ceremonies/events.

This is a great experience to know about Jews in Curacao and also in Latin America. You can visit the synagogue for up to a week if you keep the bracelet in good condition. Plan the visit well to be able to look at the details of the many artifacts that are in the exhibition. Definitely a must just to know a little bit more of historical facts.

Children's Museum Curaçao is a dream destination for families, offering interactive and multisensory exhibits both indoors and outdoors. The museum covers various educational themes such as nature, language, culture, and arts. It hosts special seasonal events throughout the year and is a popular spot for school groups in the mornings. With hands-on experiences focusing on science, art, and culture, children can learn while having fun in this multi-sensory wonderland.
Went with our 21-month old and she had an amazing time. The entire museum is super peaceful but learning and creativity stimulating environment. We liked it so much that we even went twice within 3 days! Would recommend to carve at least 3 hours for visiting this place. This way the kids can enjoy without being rushed.

Awesome place for kids to enjoy themselves. Nice variety of things for them to play with. Our kids of 7 and 5 years old had a blast. We happened to go there during carnaval on Curaçao, didn't realize, and the prices almost doubled that day. Other than that so much fun, friendly staff only a bit chaotic at times. Free parking, free WiFi, clean restrooms.

Very cozy and beautiful. I was amazed with the outdoor area. Suggested to maybe expand the gift store for extra revenue. Big revenue opportunity there.

This place is ideal for kids to discover different thing. Not only they can play and have a good time, but they also learn and explore!!

My 3 year old daughter and friends had lots of fun. Both indoors w airco as outdoors in open air. Indoors the kids played in the grocery store, science and enginering section, slides, lego. Reading books in the pillow corner. Also, under guidance in the crafting room maker art. Was education and fun for kids.. also as parent we enjoyed watching the kids play and socialize with other moms

I just bought a membership for me and my grandchildren so I have to like the museum a lot. They love it.

So many things to do, so little time. Went there with a 2 and 3 year old, both had a blast interacting with the various areas, engaging in stimulating play. There's a special toddler area, arts & crafts, outdoor play, simple science, building, real life emulation and even a book nook for the little ones who may want to withdraw. If you're looking for something to do with your kids, look no further. This is the spot.

Nature & Parks
Shete Boka National Park, named after the seven inlets where endangered sea turtles lay their eggs, is located about 40 minutes from the Curacao cruise port. The park spans 10 km of Curacao's rugged north shore, featuring dramatic cliffs and caves where powerful waves crash against coral rock formations. Together with Christoffel National Park, it encompasses over 12,000 acres of protected nature reserves on the island.
Its a stunning park. You have to pay to get in but it's worth it. You might think why you would come look at rocks and waves hitting it. But once you actually see it in person, its very awestrucking. There are multiple viewpoints within the park. You can walk from one to another, or you can drive your car between the viewpoints. I would recommend driving since the viewpoints are far apart. Can easily spend a few hours here.

Great Boka’s. All 4 are completely different. Be sure to hang around Boka pistol for some tie to see insanely high water bursts! Also don’t forget to check out the cave. It’s otherworldly. Caution: slippery!

A great way to spend a few hours while visiting Curacao. We parked and walked to explore. We bought a map but probably didn’t need it. There’s a food truck there, but we didn’t try it. Definitely worth a trip!
Amy S — Google review
What an interesting place to spend a few hours! There are some beautiful views and decently marked paths that lead you to caves, beaches, and cool waves exploding into the rocky ledges. The roads can be a little sketchy if you don't have a bigger vehicle, but we managed just fine with a smaller car. Just avoid the pot holes. I advise against wearing flip flops or slides. The rocks are pretty jagged and one mistake could cut you pretty bad. I wore some hiking sandals and I was fine. Be careful on some of the steps.
Dan B — Google review
Beautiful sights along with access to a cave to explore! Shete Boka is a very unique place with corals, beautiful scenery, and wildlife exploring around the park!

This is okay, if you want to walk and drive along the northern coast of Curacao and see the rough Atlantic Ocean crash against the shoreline. The cave was pretty cool and the crashing waves are okay.

The Curacao Maritime History Museum offers a fascinating journey through over 500 years of the island's maritime history. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the Dutch West India Co., the slave trade, and Willemstad's growth. The museum features a working model of the Steam for Oil refinery, showcasing its impact on the island's economy. Additionally, guests can enjoy guided tours of both the museum and harbor to gain a comprehensive understanding of Curacao's maritime heritage.
I loved the museum! The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. The exhibits beautifully highlight Curaçao’s rich naval and maritime history, and you can tell the entire museum has been created with great care and passion. They even stamped my passport, something specially arranged through a government agency and available at only a handful of places, which made the visit even more memorable.
Jailene C — Google review
This is one of the few museums in Curacao but it is quite fun to visit. You start your journey with the discovery of the Caribbean and later the time of piracy. The maritime history of Curacao is explained and there are quite a lot historical artefacts and photographs. There are no guided tours, a walk around takes about 1-1.5 hours. The staff is very friendly. They normally offer a boat tour through the harbour but it is temporarily not available. They hope to start it again soon.
Sam H — Google review
If you're looking for a comprehensive exhibit this museum delivers! The displays are in multiple languages and impressively detailed with additional video descriptions on certain sections. The owners have done an incredible job restoring the building and creating the exhibits. Definitely worth a second trip!

Mariel M — Google review
Had a very nice visit to the maritime museum. The history was definitely about the island but also equally about the Dutch which makes sense but was unexpected. Most maritime museums on islands are about the island. I didn’t mind though. The artifacts are nicely preserved and everything explained in three languages. I learned a few new things and was happy it was also air conditioned. Definitely worth stopping by.
Adam R — Google review
Great museum, one of the best I’ve ever visited. It is privately owned and run with passion by the director and his wife. The director served three decades in the Dutch Navy, and you can feel his expertise in the meticulous reconstruction of explorers’ and conquistadors’ routes, as well as in the detailed displays of ships and vessels on the ground floor. His wife contributed by translating old German diaries, adding even more depth to the collection. The museum takes you on a journey through 500 years of Curaçao’s maritime heritage. Highlights include ancient canoes of the Arwak people, 17th-century ship models, nautical charts and maps dating back to the 1500s, exhibits on harbor development and shipbuilding, a detailed model of the Shell oil refinery, and interactive displays about the Dutch Navy’s role in the Caribbean. A standout piece is a massive bronze cannon recovered from the explosion of the Alphen frigate in 1778 — a rare artifact weighing over 1,600 pounds, decorated with dolphins, and linked to a tragedy that claimed more than 250 lives. A visit here is an absolute must if you want to understand Curaçao’s history and its deep connection with the sea, in the past, the present, and also a little in the future!
Giorgio F — Google review
I found this to be one of the highlights of my trip to Curacao. The amount of history and importance Curacao has played throughout history was very insightful and had no idea. The museum is small but it makes up for the amount of information it holds. If you can dedicate an hour or two, I think you will find this museum very interesting.

Mini Waves offers a unique nautical experience where you can become the captain of your own mini electric ship and enjoy the water with friends and family. This concept is designed to be both fun and educational, allowing both children and adults to learn how to navigate and moor their own miniature ship. Booking is made easy through online platforms, ensuring a comfortable experience from start to finish.
We had a great experience with Mini waves. It started with the fact that we could contact them by WhatsApp, and booked online paying with iDeal (relevant for The Netherlands), everything was very comfortable. When we got there, there was plenty of parking places and Roberto was waiting for us in the booth, super friendly. For my 4 year old girl it was really nice, she was the captain, and got a life jacket, she was driving the boat (on and off 😀). Don’t expect a speedy boat, it’s mainly for kids, and prepare to take some of the driving yourself, as the kids may also be interested in what happens in the water 😁

Visitors can enjoy water sports, snorkeling, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. The beach is lined with five beach bars and restaurants, each offering a unique theme and entertainment options.
After a long sail day, we arrived at Jan Thiel Beach, a vibrant spot with plenty of restaurant and bar options to enjoy a refreshing cocktail. The atmosphere was unbeatable, with perfect views to sit back, relax, and watch the sun dip below the horizon—a picture-perfect ending to the day.

It is a beautiful small beach full of bars and restaurants all along. There are many venues where you can choose from, to buy a snack or have a drink. There are a couple of swimming pools that belong to the Papagayo Hotel. You must pay for beds on the beach. The prices are a little high and I would say this is the Dutch beach.
Diego R — Google review
I enjoy visiting this place from time to time for snorkeling, lounging, hiking, or dining. There are plenty of restaurant options available. Please note that there is a fee to access the beach for swimming or snorkeling. They also offer massage services and diving lessons. While it may not be the best spot for snorkeling on the island, it’s still a solid choice overall. Additionally, there are retail shops and gift shops on-site.

Crystal clear waters. Quiet atmosphere on most days (but Saturday’s have amazing live music). Variety of delicious food options—from pizza and chicken to ice cream and fine dining. What more could you ask for? Went here 3 times during my week in curacao. Found it better than other options (Mambo Beach, etc). Highly recommended
Ami S — Google review
There was a small entrance fee per person. I feel like we may have missed the best part of the beach because we ended up sitting right outside the Zanzibar restaurant. There’s also a fee for chairs and a few palapa-style (palm-covered) shades available for rent. This beach had stairs leading into the ocean instead of a sandy shoreline. The water wasn’t as blue as some of the other beaches we visited, but it was still beautiful. There were a few restaurants on-site, and you could rent snorkeling gear if you wanted. Overall, it was okay — but definitely not as impressive as the other beaches we went to.
S W — Google review
$3 per person entry fee, then we rented a day bed for about 35(?) that came with towels and a large water. We ordered other drinks and food. Service was decent. The water is calm. Not as clear as some beaches so not really a snorkeling option… papagayo’s infinity pool is nice. Lots of parking. Several cafes or restaurants or gelato options…

Kokomo Beach in Curacao is a low-key sandy beach with turquoise waters, deck chairs, a dive center, and a restaurant. It's known for its charming rocky shoreline and iconic photo opportunities, including the famous Kokomo sign with swings hanging from palm trees. This beach offers a peaceful ambiance and stunning views of the Caribbean waters, making it perfect for couples. Just 15 minutes from the port, it's ideal for families and novice snorkelers.
Such a beautiful beach! It's small so it's best to get there right when it opens. The food is good, the snorkeling is fun and cheap. The waves were slightly rocky when I went but if you're a confident swimmer you'll be fine. Like all the beaches on the island make sure you have your water shoes! There was a pack of dogs in the parking lot. The alpha was slightly unnerving but they just seemed like they wanted food. I'd never seen dogs like that before. They were entertaining to watch. Overall I would definitely return, it's worth a visit!!
Kandace A — Google review
As others have mentioned. There aren’t many places to put your towel down and if you do purchase a chair, many of them have no shade. Photos are from early morning (9am) before the sun was completely out. The water is beautiful. Snorkeling was a little rough since the water is a little choppy which causes water to get inside your snorkel.
Jerica F — Google review
Small beach, not many shade options. If you can't handle the sun then you'll have to go early to get some shade. A bit rocky but using the stairs to go into the water helped. Food options and service was great. We had chicken wings, passion fruit juice and passion fruit popsicles (all very tasty). Snorkeling was decent. The best part is that its close to the downtown area (20 minute drive).
Natasha R — Google review
I would describe this place as an okay Beach but expensive. The only different thing they have is the singer with the name of the beach on it I didn't stay here for a long time and I left the place before they could charge me for the use of beach beads. If you want to visit I recommend you to get there early, around 9-10 am. If you plan to sneak food do it in your bags.
Diego R — Google review
Fantastic beach experience. Wonderful amenities (bar and restaurant) with excellent service. Lovely beach and unexpectedly some of the best snorkeling on the island, though many folks were new (standing on corals, touching or attempting to touch fish and sealife) for their GoPro videos can be upsetting, so some rules around that would be helpful. Highly recommend, note the beach is private so watch the hours of operation.

Small beach, but well located, 20 minutes from Willemstad. It has all the necessary facilities to spend a day at the beach. You can snorkel on both sides of the beach. The food and drinks at the bar and restaurant are very good. Very friendly staff. Beach chairs are rented for US$6.00 each. You have to arrive before 10 to 11 am to find a good spot.
Leonardo P — Google review
I may be in the minority with my review for this beach, but this is my perspective on it. To start with very rude personnel upon entry demanding we throw out our coffees before entering and on the beach charging $9 per chair. Secondly, very poor customer service at the bar where they pretty much questioned my integrity through their actions, after almost refusing me another drink after sharing an insect was found inside the drink. The beach itself is extremely rocky upon entry, which ruined my experience in the water since I was pretty much on rocks the entire time, being that I'm not a swimmer and I normally just stay at shoulder length water. Forgot to mention sand time was spent swatting flies and other native insects . To conclude, a hard pass, one and done.

Visitors can enjoy personalized cocktail classes and guided tours that delve into the origins of the famous blue curacao liquor. The knowledgeable staff provides multilingual tours and complimentary tastings of various flavored liquors such as orange, tamarind, and chocolate.
We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Curacoa Liqueur Distillery located in Willemstad and we were all very pleased with our experience. We weren’t able to purchase tickets for a personalized tour as they were sold out for the day, but we were able to do our own tour, which was also very enjoyable. There are a lot of displays that give a history of Curacoa and the distillery itself, along with videos that describe the history of the liqueur itself and the distillery, which are both very interesting and informative! There is also an opportunity to sample some of the liqueur outside at the bar and we had an amazing coffee drink which contained the chocolate liqueur and it was truly amazing! I would seriously return there just to have one of those drinks! There is also a gift shop that is full of unique gifts. Overall, we truly enjoyed visiting the distillery and I would highly recommend it to others visiting the area. Learning about the history of the culture and the distillery itself was so worthwhile! I would recommend purchasing tickets in advance if one wants a personalized tour. I think they do a lot of group tours from the cruise ships, so make sure to plan accordingly.

Quick tour but highly recommended. The staff is sweet and knowledgeable. Its fun for those who don't drink (me) and those that do (my partner). A bit overrated. 14$ entry making it the most expensive on the island. It’s very well kept, but the water was almost green when we came. Snorkelling is pretty good but nothing crazy. Amazing private beach! the best in Curazao. It costs 14 usd/person, and the fee includes chairs and wifi. There's a bar inside where you can buy drinks and food, but you can also enter with your own. Important: The beach is inside a gated/private neighborhood and you need an ID to access

There is a charge for the beach and beach chairs if you are not staying in the Blue Bay resort. There is plenty of parking near the beach. The sun loungers are not too close together so the beach didn’t feel too crowded. The palm trees provide plenty of shade. One time for the steak special where you get 1kg of premium really good steak and if you fully eat it by yourself you'll receive a prize 🏅. Second time we we went there and combined our dinner with midget golf wich is also possible at Brakkeput Mei Mei and very fun to do. The ambience is very cozy you can sit in or outside, the service is very good even on busy nights and the garden with the midget golf is very beautyful fully with trees and plants with flowers.

The staff is very friendly with clients. On Friday the restaurant has little entertainment which was very pleasant. The ambiance was very nice as well. Unfortunately service was extremely slow. I ordered an orange juice. It took the server 15 minutes to bring it to the table. I got the menu, but it took a while before I could order. I decided to order a soup as I thought I would have to wait less since I had only one hour before going to my next appointment. I asked the server for the soup of the day, but he was not aware of the type of soup they served that day. After waiting for 15 additional minutes I finally got the soup I ordered. The soup was okay, but I definitely don't think it's worth the wait.

Food was great and service was wonderful. Great breeze while eating and lots of space for a large group. Celebrated a birthday here and they made it extra special with a special chair, dessert and the waiters sang as well.

Sambil Curacao is the largest mall on the island, offering a unique experience with a variety of amenities. This fully air-conditioned shopping center features well-appointed stores, including popular brands like Levis, Only, Inglot, and Tommy Hilfiger. Visitors can stock up on groceries at Carrefour or enjoy a meal in the food court. The mall also boasts entertainment options such as a cinema and indoor activity centers for kids of all ages.
Nice mall! Definitely the best on the island, but not overall the most impressive mall in the Caribbean. Has most of the stores you may seek out and plenty of good food court options!

If you craving for cheesecake the New York style. The Cookie Factory in Sambil Center is where you have to be. Look no further,….. also an exceptional assortment of homemade cookies. Do try them, they were goooood!

Great place to spend time with the family. There was a wide variety to choose from in the food court and they sell beer. We enjoyed bowling and the children really liked the trampoline park. Watched a movie at the cinema as well. The supermarket is great. And the little cafe in the back has the most delicious burgers.

The mall has a nice, higher-quality grocery, at least one bar, a food court. And a couple of phone shops (we got a Flow SIM card at one of them). Parking is easy…

The Avila Beach Hotel is a charming beachfront property in Curacao, offering airy accommodations with some rooms boasting stunning sea views. Situated on a quiet lagoon, the hotel provides easy access to historical landmarks such as the Jewish Cultural Historical Museum and Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue. The 1780-built hotel features 143 rooms with oceanfront balconies and elegant amenities. Guests can enjoy dining at five restaurants, including the popular Beach Bar designed like a wooden schooner.
Repeat visit! Great location. Amazing beach and wonderful ocean. Snorkeling was easy right from the beach and had a better selection of fish then some of the more popular “snorkeling beaches”. Rooms in the Octagon were modern and spacious and the ocean views are worth the upgrade. Restaurants were good. Much better than most hotel fare. Has an easily accessible Budget car rental right in the hotel! Concierge and wait staff were great and very hospitable! Only negative was the 3rd party airport shuttle service! Simply awful and rude and time wasting! Never use them. Pay$ if you have to, but avoid them. I believe they were “curacao-actief”

Avila was perfect, the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are small and lacking storage however, the beds and pillows are great. The beaches are so relaxing and calm. Everything was clean. The services was great. The sunscreen provided by the hotel was nice, it was not refilled at times. The area is up and coming, a few restaurants close by. Overall, we had a great experience and I would most definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel 15min walk from downtown. Hotel has two private beaches, lots of sunbeds. Big swimmingpool if you prefer that. Breakfast buffee can be ordered im advance or you can buy the days you want. Great gym. Really friendly staff. QR code at the sunbeds so you can order food/drinks directly to the beach. Rooms with fridge and good air-con, no chromecast on tv

My husband and I stayed at Avila Beach Hotel for 7 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The beach was lovely, with two lagoons full of fish to observe, and the staff were attentive and polite. I’d definitely recommend adding a breakfast package to your stay—the selection and quality were very good, and the omelette station let you order eggs just the way you like them. However, I’m glad we didn’t add dinners. While there’s more variety if you eat meat, as a pescatarian I found the options limited, and for vegetarians the selection and value for the price were not great. That said, I’d highly recommend the BBQ night at the Pen restaurant—it was excellent. A few things to keep in mind: this is more of a European-style resort, so be prepared to encounter people smoking on the beach. Smoking is also allowed on the balconies of some wings. During the first half of our stay we were lucky, but for the rest of the week our mornings and evenings on the balcony were less pleasant because of that unpleasant smell. Overall, we were happy with our choice of a hotel and would definitely stay again (but next time - in a non-smoking part :) ).

We LOVED this hotel it was beautiful, clean, and had the most helpful staff we have even encountered. Special shout-out to Kevin whose omlets alone were worth the flight. We will be returning again within the year. This is our new favorite destination. The hotel is family friendly but the adults only rooms are nothing short of incredible. The views are perfect for anyone going for the Instagram worthy shot.

We had a wonderful stay at the Avila for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Oceanfront Blues room, which had a beautiful view of the ocean off the balcony. The beaches were beautiful and the snorkeling was just as good as anywhere else on the island. The beach bar will deliver food and drinks right to your chair for reasonable prices. The beach loungers were plentiful and free to use with lots of shade. Everyone we encountered was friendly, polite, and helpful. Our only complaint is that the housekeeping service could have been better. Our room was often not cleaned until very late in the afternoon, and one day was not cleaned at all. The cleaning could have been a bit more thorough, especially since the shower is open on one side and has a tendency to get water all over the bathroom. But overall, I was very happy with our stay and would stay again.
Lauren E — Google review
The Avila Beach Hotel provided our family with a truly memorable and fantastic stay. Our Beachfront 2-Bedroom Apartment was the ideal home base, offering a clean and spacious environment right on the ocean. The ground-level accessibility was a huge plus, making it incredibly easy for everyone to get around and enjoy direct access to the beautiful private beach. It was a joy to wake up to the sound of the waves and have the kids run right out to the sand. The historic resort grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and charming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. It's the perfect place for a relaxing family vacation, with calm, protected beaches that are great for swimming and snorkeling. While our stay was wonderful, there are a few areas we feel could be improved to make the experience even better. We found that the resort's food and drink options were limited and quite expensive. Having more variety and more casual, affordable dining choices would have been appreciated, especially with a family. Additionally, we would love to see a more comprehensive all-inclusive option. This would provide more value and convenience, allowing guests to fully relax without constantly worrying about the cost of every meal and beverage. Overall, the Avila Beach Hotel is a fantastic choice for a family getaway in Curaçao, offering a beautiful setting and a comfortable, clean stay. With a few adjustments to their dining and all-inclusive packages, it would be an absolutely perfect destination.

When the skies turn gray in Curacao, Kidi's Park at Sambil Mall is your go-to destination for family fun! This expansive indoor playground spans an impressive 600 square meters, providing a safe and air-conditioned environment where children can climb, jump, and slide to their hearts' content. While the kids are busy exploring this vibrant play area designed for ages 2.5 and up, parents can kick back with a warm cup of coffee or indulge in some shopping at the mall.
It’s a perfect place for share with your children while you enjoy a coffee. Is a closed space that’s makes you feel secure and there’s no worry about rain or hot, under roof and air conditioner all the time.

Great place to escape the heat! Kids just love this place. From baby till ... I've seen 10 year olds having a blast at this place. It's safe and it's clean and in Sambil, that mean airco. You can also plan your kid's bday over here. Good tip as an adult who wants to kill his time with your laptop orso, bring a good headset with you. Those kidsongs will hunt you all day.

Children's indoor play area that has slides, ball pits, mazes, rocking horses, and a small carousel. Prices are reasonable, had a toddler enter for only $5 USD. Parents admission is free. There is a small food court area with chairs for the parents that have rotating daily specials for $6 to $7 NAF. I didn't try it, so no comment on the food quality. Area is brightly colored and looks fairly clean. The mall has free Wi-Fi which is spotty, but manageable. Great alternative to keep kids out of the sun for a while and have them expel some energy.
James K — Google review
Very good intertainment for kids. But the prices is killing me when I reach there with 3 or 4 kids 🤦🏻‍♂️ Its about $15 for a kid for 1 hour
Lorne Z — Google review
The place is great for kids, not so safe for babies though. So I would say it's good for kids starting from 2.5 years and up. Parents can join the kids too. Everybody should wear socks while in the playing area, both adults and kids. That's a plus. It's a bit expensive though but the kids can play for long hours. So that will compensate the high entrance fee. I would advise to stay with your kids since parents can access the play area as well. So for safety of your kids.

Great playground for toddlers and little children. Our daughter (3) loves to play and meet her friends at Kidi's place. Children mist wear socks at all times. But, did you forget socks? Not a problem. You can buy one at the cashier. Only the child pays at the door. Parents enter for free. But remember that you must not leave your child unattended. I know it is difficult to resist the urge to go shopping in Sambil and although therw is supervission from personell, you should never leave your children without adult supervission at the park.

Restaurants and shopping for visitors mostly as the cruise ships come here. Very busy during the times when ships are in location. If you are looking for food or souvenirs and don’t have time to explore this mall is the go to. Also nice for photos!

Rif Fort and the island of Curaçao are truly a slice of paradise. Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, this destination blends rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning coastal views into one unforgettable experience. We spent time touring the island, and every stop revealed something special, from the colorful Dutch colonial architecture in Willemstad to the charming shops and restaurants tucked within Rif Fort itself. The fort offers a perfect blend of history and modern flair, with beautiful views of the harbor and easy access to local attractions. But the real magic of Curaçao lies in its beaches. Crystal-clear waters, powdery sand, and an easygoing island vibe made every moment feel like a postcard. Whether you’re relaxing under a palm tree, snorkeling along coral reefs, or just soaking in the sun, the natural beauty is unreal. If you’re looking for a mix of culture, relaxation, and tropical scenery, Curaçao should be high on your list. We fell in love with the laid back energy and would return in a heartbeat.

Plenty to do and see and much of it for little to no cost. There is an arra on the top floor above the pancake restaurant with swings overlooking the bay that is nice for cooling off and relaxing while taking in the view. Seemed like nobody really knew it was there. Did some casnio gambling at wind creek, ate some pancakes, and got plenty of souvenirs. The multi level layout was neat and fun to explore while offering lots of shade.

Zanzibar Restaurant – Jan Thiel Beach The restaurant was able to easily accommodate our group of nine at one large table. We all enjoyed our food, and the service was pretty good. The restaurant is outdoors but has plenty of covered seating, so you still feel like you’re dining indoors — just with that breezy beach vibe. Since it’s part of the beach area, there’s paid parking, but it’s convenient if you’re already visiting Jan Thiel. Overall, it was a nice spot and a good experience.

Very chill spot with great music playing in the background on a Monday mid-day at the bar. The view of the water is perfect. Only had a couple of things from the snack menu and a couple of drinks which were all good, but the service....it was lacking. No one checks on you. You have to wave staff over to get what you need. I'm torn on if I want to come back. Maybe I will, when I have patience packed in my pocket.

We've tried them multiple times, consistently horrible food and service. Sorely disappointed every time. Not just the lack of quality and absurd wait time of food, My husband got 2 of 4 beers that he ordered, as ge watched them die in the wait station. And I was service industry for 20 years. This isn't an empty complaint. I DO have to say it is absolutely gorgeous! It's really is. I will go there to relax and enjoy the beauty. I will find a way to contribute, but not with food.

The tour provides insight into the farm's history, its impact on the community, and showcases various elements contributing to its success such as goats, neem trees, and cactus.
We stopped by this place to pick up Christmas gifts, and the farm is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and charming. The staff is wonderful and helpful too. The gift shop offers a wide range of options, from supplements to facial products, shampoos, and more. I especially love their bug spray; it works really well. They also offer a local discount if you live on the island. If you're interested in learning more about aloe, I highly recommend checking out their tour!

Hello. I just want to say Masha Danki for providing the excellent products you carry. I was there last year and I purchased your aloe gel. I just went to clean a glass carafe that had some stubborn stains in it. I poured very hot water in it. The carafe exploded and hot water went all over my leg. I ran cold water over it and then put your gel on it. So glad I bought it. Your products are excellent and you never know when you might need them. Many thanks.

Serena's Art Factory, also known as Chichi® Garden, is a vibrant and colorful attraction in Curacao that showcases the unique Chichi sculptures created by artist Serena Janet Israel. These sculptures, depicting Caribbean women and now including new characters like a man and a child, can be found throughout the island as public art installations and souvenirs. The factory offers visitors the opportunity to witness the creation process of these iconic figures for free.
What a wonderful way to spend a morning. Learning about the art pieces you see around Curaçao, then learning the history and how they’re made. And.. best of all, paint your own Chichi. My 21 year old son, who is autistic, painted a cat in the style of an anime that he enjoys. Because of his autism, his hands shake and he had a hard time with straight lines. Serena helped straighten his lines. I cannot stress how impressed I am with how sweet and empathetic Serena was with my son. They had a nice conversation and he was thrilled for her help. The Curaçao Zoo is a great place for visitors of all ages to interact with a wide variety of animals. The petting zoo is especially popular with the kiddos, while horseback riding is another great experience on offer. The zoo needs more help financially and with staffing, but it's worth checking out if you're in the area.

A little disappointed to be honest. 6 years into the 10 year renovation, and you can only go about 50 meters into the park. We saw a few farm animals, some ostriches, and a few flamingos in the distance. We could hear other animals, but all paths were either closed off or incomplete. We were the only people there other than one man who we assumed worked there but overall ignored us. Maybe other workers were home because we went on what was apparently a holiday (May 30th), but either way, I don't see the park renovations being completed in 4 years. I'll check back whenever I visit Curacao again.

Currently the zoo is an empty Shell of what it used to be. Many wonderful memories lay at this location. Now only a nearly empty lot at the size of 3 soccer fields is accesible. But they did there best to make up for it. So thumbs up for the effort. Update: Went there again on 7-2-'25 with a group of 7. It is still a nice place. This time there was no live music. The food was good. A couple of us did not get what they ordered. As happy as I was about the waiters the first time. This time it was the other way around. It definitely sucked. They could have sold us 4 times more drinks. If they paid attention. Therefore we did not think they deserved any tip.

We checked this place out tonight and really enjoyed the vibes and the food. It has a chill, relaxing atmosphere, with friendly staff and a solid menu. The prices are reasonable, and it’s super kid-friendly. Overall, it’s a great spot to grab a meal! Giving this place a 4.4 stars.

We had a nice dinner here in a beautiful setting. The service was excellent – the bartender/waiter was very kind and attentive. It’s also a very kid-friendly place: our kids loved feeding the animals and playing in the playground. Definitely a must-go if you have children and want to enjoy nature combined with dinner. On the food side, there is some room for improvement. We ordered picanha medium-rare, but received it closer to medium-well. The taste was nice, but the skewers could be better prepared. The red wine we tried was also disappointing – it was very dry and not a good match for the meal. Pros: friendly service, kid-friendly with animals and playground, great atmosphere. Cons: picanha not cooked as ordered, limited wine quality. With a few improvements on the food and wine selection, this could be an amazing experience all around.

We recently enjoyed an Eastern brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. We highly recommend it!

Perfect setting and relaxed ambiance for a great lunch/dinner. Here you can enjoy your meal and really enjoy that you’re sitting outside under the trees in a huge garden with animals in the background. The food presentation is very nice. After eating you can have a stroll through the garden. They had an amazing entertainment by a lady who sang and played the saxophone very beautifully.

I had a nice breakfast. You can even choose locsl breakfast. The place a wonderful for a family outing. There is a place where the kids can play. Different animals. The kids enjoyed. Lovely music. Good service.

Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton is a refined all-inclusive hotel with spacious rooms and large beds. The friendly staff offers concierge services for car rentals, trips, and restaurant reservations. The resort features four à la carte restaurants serving varied breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. However, some guests have experienced delays in receiving fresh towels and noted issues with cleanliness in certain areas.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, the hotel was luxurious, clean and comfortable. The entire staff was friendly, polite, attentive and welcoming. Especially thanks to the incredible kindness and professionalism of Swen who went above and beyond to make my experience special, and his genuine care truly stood out. Additionally, the housekeeping service was phenomenal, I would like to highlight Cecelia who was very helpful during my stay and had a warm and inviting personality. She was respectful and honest, thank you both for making my stay unforgettable! I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in Curcaćao.

I enjoyed being at the pool most of the time. The bartenders were amazing! Important thing to mention, the pool with the swim up bar was incredibly dangerous. The gravel in the pool was starting to chip, and it did give me a cut on my toe. I also saw several other people coming out of the pool with some sort of cut or scratches. That pool also should’ve been adults only, children swimming in the same pool with a swim up bar is not a good look when you have adults already intoxicated. Hilton needs to fix the flooring in the pool. Now the food was hit or miss. The timing of the buffet and restaurants were way off. The buffet for breakfast was from 7-11am, but by 9:30am, the food was already super cold. Lunch for the most part was delicious at the buffet. Dinner for the most part at the buffet was good, and I liked how the options changed almost every night. The hotel does offer other restaurants, but reservations were required, and extremely limited. Booking dinner reservations were between 10am-4pm for the next day, but that was pointless because all the dinner reservations were taken before 11am. I had dinner reservations for the Turkish restaurant one night, and I was told by the staff member who is in charge of booking reservations that they had a 50 minute grace period(yes I confirmed that I heard 50 minutes correctly) and that was not true, it was 15minutes. We arrived 30 minutes “late”, and we were rudely turned away by the hostess. The hostess put his phone in our faces to show that we were 30 minutes late, and then openly admitted that the front desk staff needed to be “trained better”. With that statement, we would’ve imagined that we could’ve been seated still, especially since only 5 people were eating. Nonetheless, we had to wait for the midnight buffet to open cause dinner buffet was already done, and basically starved until the next day cause the midnight buffet only had chicken nuggets that weren’t very appetizing. We had a successful dinner reservation with the Maya Mexican restaurant, and that was a solid 8/10, the portions were extremely small. We stayed for 5 nights, but only got to eat at 1 restaurant was disappointing. Since the food was so hit or miss, I would really categorize this resort as a 3.5 star rating. The beach and pool lounge chairs were almost always filthy. No one was cleaning them up. Plus we only got to have one towel. You had one towel card, and If a towel wasn’t returned, you wouldn’t get the card back, and you would’ve been charged for it at the end of the stay. A lot of unspoken rules that should’ve been told to us at check in. In summary, if you are looking for a resort with amazing food, you should skip this one. The drinks were great though.

What an AMAZING location. My husband and I along with 15 other family members used this location to have our vow renewal. I booked directly with the resort a year before and worked with Tamara who was great with responding to all my emails and questions. During the process she went away and there was still communication in her absence. As it got close to my event I was introduced to her assistant Thaisany who was AMAZING as well. She made sure that everything I needed for my renewal from the day I stepped on the property to the day of the ceremony was there and in place. I could not have asked for two better people to work with for this important ceremony. From the cake, the decorations, bouquet and boutonniere, to getting us flower petals from the local florist. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The resort was in a great location, 7 min from downtown Wilmstead. I will definitely stay here again.

Our experience at the Corendon Mangrove Hotel and Resort was absolutely wonderful. The view was stunning truly breathtaking! A special shoutout to Edwin, whose service was exceptional. He made me and my family feel right at home and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He also gave us great suggestions for exploring the island, which we really appreciated. Thanks to him and the rest of the team, we had an unforgettable vacation. Highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Curaçao!

Me & my wife visited this resort to celebrate my cousin's 50th. Overall we had a good time. With it being all inclusive,  I am not a drinker but I heard the bar by the main lobby was better than the bar at the pool. The food was average at best. I would prefer to go outside the resort for dinner. The rooms were nice & comfortable, we stayed in the PH. I do have to say that the wifi was not great at all. It would constantly disconnect and not always reconnect which made things frustrating at times. I would not call this area centrally located so if you don't mind taking cabs the you will be fine unless you want to rent a car. The two bright spots throughout our stay was guest service.  I would like to recognize Ray & Raigen for being so helpful with any questions we had or needs. They went above and beyond.

First time in Curacao, great location, beautiful weather. The resort has so much to offer. We met this lovely young chap called Ray who works in Guest Relations. He has made our holiday, from the moment we met him, he has brighten our days. He’s a great entertainer and friendly guy. I would highly recommend asking for him, for any needs you might have. Georgi, Benti , Quarella (the best bartender)are very professional and responsible members of the Corendon team. The housekeeping staff in Building 2, second floor is extremely excellent! Great personalities. Always willing to assist a guest. I am very impressed with their services. Need more signage for guests to know where the restaurants are located! More fumigation by the pool at Building 2 needed! The mosquitoes are soo small, you don't see them. But definitely feel the mosquitoe bites later. There's plenty of food to choose from at main dining room. The buffet selection is soo huge. One doesn't know where to start first. L o l

Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino is an upscale all-inclusive beachfront retreat featuring 341 rooms and suites with private terraces and balconies offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean waters. Situated adjacent to Mambo Beach and the Curacao Seaquarium, it provides easy access to popular tourist destinations. The resort offers Unlimited-Fun amenities including 5 restaurants, 4 bars, a spa, and 3 outdoor pools.
My family of 4 (kids 3 and 5) had a great time at this resort. Our expectations weren’t super high since it was so affordable but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was fantastic and the kids club staff was very good with our boys. They had fun activities throughout the day for families and we were able to drop them off and enjoy some adult time in the afternoons. The beach was one of the best we’ve been to and we had a room right on the beach. FANTASTIC! We’ve been to several resorts in the Caribbean and I would not call this a 5-star resort, but for the price and options for kids, it was perfect for us. The casino was actually really fun too! The restaurants were not the best…hibachi was good, Italian was decent, the drill was actually really tasty, but the buffet was a little rough for anyone with picky taste. Overall it was a small and manageable resort with great snorkeling, a friendly staff, and a beautiful setting. We also loved that the aquarium was a short walk away and was a huge highlight for our family. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

I am not sure if the positive reviews are fake or possibly from people who work there, but in no way is this a 3,4 or 5 star resort. People in our group that stayed in the Tower had no AC and electrical issues. I stayed in the 8000 building, which had AC but had so many other issues. Lights didn't work, TV was off the wall and didn't work then shocked me when plugging it in, missing shower door panel which flooded the bathroom when using, door wouldn't close unless slammed shut making the handle loose and cracking the trim, closet doors would not slide, old and not maintained room overall. I reported all these things to staff and will guarantee someone is staying in my room with the same problems. The buffet was identical each day and below average. The Oceana served a better breakfast but there are literally pigeons fighting for your food. Literally pigeons on your table trying to get food. Staff was annoyed by any request except for the nice woman at the cafe. The bartenders would rather be somewhere else, even with constantly giving tips and saying hello and thank you. If you have been to any other all-inclusive resorts, you will see how bad this resort is. The only positive is you are next door to Mambo beach and can eat a good meal and entertainment there. Please avoid this place and spend extra money somewhere else.

Visited this resort for a spa day while a friend was staying there, and we got to check the place out a bit. It’s got a great beach, tons of activities, and that classic all-inclusive vibe, kind of reminded me of some resorts in Mexico. Definitely more family-focused and laid-back, not flashy like a Sandals. The room we saw (two doubles) was pretty small, and the balcony could use a refresh. Plus, there was a weird smell that was hard to ignore. On the upside, the spa was really cozy and the massage therapist was excellent. Overall? Not luxury, but a solid pick if you're looking for something affordable, relaxed, and family-friendly.

You can't beat the location. The staff is amazing, especially Judy. She always said hi. The lady in the coffee shop was also very friendly. The bar tenders remembered us and knew what we were drinking. The rooms were very small and some on the ground floor had some water leaking overnight. The food was good but not great. But you couldn't beat the beaches, pool and the beautiful sunsets.

We checked in and about an hour and a half later we were in the sun club looking to go to another resort. First we were on a honeymoon and we were supposed to have a banner and wine since we couldn’t have the honeymoon suite and no banner. I tried to set this up as a surprise to my new wife. I called the front desk and they brought up wine to make up for it. Then we took showers in a shower that’s missing a door. They told us to come by “VIP services” to get set up. It was really nice and helpful until he gets into “this is a 3 star resort but let’s set you up a tour with a 5 star so you know what you could have next time” great thing to hear, VIP services are just people that want to upsell. my wife said “we just got here and we’d like to check stuff out.” We got up and left. We were hungry. We went to a few places and couldn’t find food at this time, no restaurants are open and the buffet is in between lunch and dinner hours. When we did eat throughout the week the food wasn’t great, some stuff is actually pretty terrible. There’s weird periods where you can’t do anything. The casino tables are closed until 8pm, and we found out the dance club, a selling point for my wife, was down and so was another restaurant on site. We said let’s see if we can get out of here. They said come back in the morning to talk it over and we said ok. So we went to the pool things were nice, we’re enjoying the sunset in the pool and here comes an employee saying “hey I need you guys to come out the pool closes at 6.” Are you kidding me? So all the pools and swim up bar closes at 6, which we learned throughout the week the swim up bar is often closed. We tried requesting another hotel the next day and got no where. If we booked another resort even another Hyatt then maybe If I email their accountant they can help me. We said let’s suck it up and stay. We spent extra money to not be here. We spent a lot of time out of our all inclusive resort which is quite sad, but it’s the only way to truly enjoy your stay. For our honeymoon we wanted something special and we passed up the renaissance, which was amazing in Aruba, as well as Sandals because over a year ago this looked better with better reviews but I was really disappointed with everything. I’d spend your money anywhere but here or you’ll spend the same trying to make it worth it.

We had stay by Sunscape for my boyfriend birthday it was amazing. But are room air conditioner was working we had to wait almost 24 hours to get a fan and also by the front desk there was e young lady very rude working with curly hair. Other than that a big shoot out to ms Hilda and Eriela they are the best. Natisha and Crazy G you guys are the best dou for entertainment. Ms Yube she the best room attendent ever. And another big shoot out to ms Nushky she the best bartender in the resort and Eli you are the best chef and entertainment by the japanese restaurant. We will be back for sure

We had an opportunity to stay here for a week with 5 other couples, for 50th anniversary. We all want to make the best of it. Sadly the food is 1980 high school cafeteria. It’s good you ca eat it but not in the top 30% at all. It’s very dated, rooms are large but way too much deferred maintenance. Toilets did not flush, no real cold water but the A/C works but 30% of our group went days with no A/C. We received a great rate to the $300 per night. Check out the resorts and hotels just up the road and you will be blown away with the food shopping and entertainment. I think they really do their best, sadly short for what is asked for you to pay.

LionsDive Beach Resort Curacao is a versatile 4-star beachfront resort that offers something for everyone. It prides itself as the most fun and sporty hotel in Curacao, providing a wide range of activities such as relaxing on the longest white sand beach, swimming in the 50-meter-long sports pool, diving with Ocean Encounters, or working out at the fitness center.
We were quite satisfied with our experience during our seven-days stay at the hotel. The breakfast was sufficient, and Hemingway Restaurant in front of the hotel serves very tasty food. The cocktails were excellent. We really enjoyed the sea—it is absolutely clean and the color is breathtaking. Before going to the hotel, I watched a live stream on YouTube showing the sea. I checked it out frequently. The real sea and beach are much, much more beautiful than what was shown in that video! It is a perfect beach for families with children. We experienced the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen on the hotel’s beach.

Wow! I can't say enough about how amazing this place is! The island is beautiful, the hotel provided free shuttle pickup from the airport, the location is perfect and very convenient, the staff was wonderful, they were super nice! The food at the restaurants on site was really good! We ate at Piazza 3 nights because the food and drinks were so good! I saved the best for last, the room, OMG the room was absolutely amazing!!! We were upgraded to the penthouse and I was moved to tears, it was totally unexpected! The room was HUGE! It had a wrap-around deck that overlooked the beach/ocean, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors in every room, a full size kitchen, and a workout area. Every room had stunning views, it was amazing! I would definitely recommend this resort! We are already planning a trip back in the spring.

Positives: When we arrived at the airport, it was very easy to navigate through Immigration/Customs and to find our shuttle. The water was absolutely beautiful on the property and the little cove on site allowed for great snorkeling and very calm waters to enjoy the beach. We did the 7am hike with Mimi on Thursday and LOVED it. She was great, very knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome at the resort. The only other individuals on the property who were friendly and welcoming to us were Ashanty and Eldrich at the Front Desk, Shendon, one of the staff who worked at the towel hut, and Jasper, one of the servers at Nemo (Sushi spot -- delish). We loved staying in the 2-bedroom apartment and having access to a large patio and full kitchen! The view overlooking the 50m pool was amazing. Another positive was the free shuttle that took guests downtown Willemstad to go shopping - it arrived at 9am and dropped us back at the resort at 1pm. The art was absolutely beautiful downtown with lots of areas for taking pictures, we definitely liked that. Disappointments: I'm not sure if the political climate had anything to do with our service, but we (Americans) were treated very disrespectfully, ignored, and just received bad service 90% of our visit. We couldn't figure out if it was just that we were Americans or if the Full Board food option had anything to do with the service. Not sure if the servers are preferential to non-board customers for tipping purposes, but the servers all seemed irritated with us and exhibited pretty unfriendly body language throughout our stay. We tipped all our servers because we had all worked in the food service industry and know how challenging it can be and how much work it is. We visited Wednesday-Saturday and were hoping to have some activities/entertainment throughout the visit planned by staff. On other vacations, we enjoyed the dance parties, water aerobics, things like that - there was really nothing there other than the early morning exercise classes. There was one short drum show (which was pretty cool), but it wasn't advertised at all around the property, so we only got to see a few minutes of it. We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom apartments which was very spacious and beautifully decorated. However, there were vents in the bathrooms that allowed the hot/humid air in all the time and it was very uncomfortable getting ready in. The kitchen also did not have any circulation or AC, making only the bedrooms and living room tolerable. There were also no restaurants on the property with AC. While I understand people (including us) come to this island for the heat and the sun, I appreciate a break from it and would have enjoyed some spaces with AC. By the end of our 3 day visit, I was ready to leave. It was also frustrating to see that smoking was allowed all over the property - Most resorts we have visited have some designated spaces, but everywhere we turned, people were smoking cigarettes, totally taking away from the beautiful scenery or our meal. When we took the shuttle downtown Willemstad, we immediately noticed how many of the store clerks were following us around as soon as we walked in the store. They followed us around like we were going to try and steal from them and they just stared at us. Not a pleasant experience in most of the shops we went into. Lastly, when we checked out, the shuttle had no idea we were waiting to leave, despite receiving a confirmation from Nigel with our pick-up/drop-off times when we booked our reservation in May. Luckily, Ashanty was able to call and get one over to us in a fairly timely manner. We ended up leaving the resort 20 minutes later than expected and still had plenty of time to get through the airport. Overall, we made the best of the trip and enjoyed each other's company, but we will not be returning to the resort based on this experience. If you do choose to stay here or really anywhere on the island, bring as many snacks as you can from where you live, as the food was incredibly expensive (understandably).

3rd time at the resort and 4th time on island. We won't stay anyplace else om the island. If your a diver ocean encounters is on-site and amazing. For the non divers access to mambo beach and a quick ride to downtown wilmstead make this location a must try. Staff is friendly, food is great, only thing I would improve is a bartender for the main pool but east enough to grab a refill from the pizza restaurant.
Chris W — Google review
I normally don’t leave reviews. My mother taught me if I can’t say something nice, don’t say anything. The only time I usually leave reviews is if the service or experience was exceptionally good. But I think there are a couple things about Lions Dive resort that need to be said so that other people don’t go through the same thing we did. 1. it is a very popular and loud resort. They have music in their own bar twice or three times a week, which can be heard for blocks, and just down the beach there is a gigantic stage with a DJ playing hip-hop that happens on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It makes the walls of several suites vibrate. If you don’t want to sleep through this, do not reserve room 512. 2. We had a disappointing experience with the dive shop that is co-located in the hotel. The hotel is not responsible for the dive shop, but I figured if you’re reading this, you might be diving, so fair warning, it is a cattle call. The boats take 15 to 20 people at a time. If you plan on diving with them, make reservations well ahead of time because if you wait until you get there, they won’t have room. I’m actually glad we did not dive with them, because we had a fantastic experience with a local company called Unique Diving run by a woman named Dushca and her husband Charlie, and they were awesome. We opted for three days of shore entries, and one boat dive, because the water was pretty rough. In hindsight, we were very glad we weren’t on a crowded boat rolling around while people tried to get their gear on and threw up. 3. Bugs- not really a problem because they fog the island with insecticidal smoke once a week. We were not aware of that, until the smoke truck set off the fire alarm at the resort and we were awakened just before dawn to the screaming of the fire alarm while smoke blew outside the windows. Needless to say, that got the adrenaline up until we realized that the smoke was coming from the bug spray truck. I have no idea what they were spraying and how bad it is for humans, but we breathed a lot of it. The official line was that someone forgot to turn off the hotel smoke alarm because they were sleepy. 4. Hotel amenities and staff. It is a nice hotel, and the locals that work there are extremely pleasant, hard-working, and provide excellent service. However, we ran into more than one 18 year old northern European who was there to party and get away from home who didn’t care about providing any kind of service. I have never seen a wait staff so adept at the skill of ignoring customers. I could triple their drink sales with a couple of competent bartenders. 5. Reefs. Sadly, many of the reefs are dead. There is an active and robust effort to propagate coral and re-colonize the reef, but it is too little too late for the current reef. Dushca and the dive masters at Unique Diving were well aware of this and took us to the spots that were not dead yet. 6. One last thing. I know this is a bit nitpicky, , and I don’t want to sound like the guy that complains about everything, but the bathrooms in our suites all had motion detectors that turned on the lights. That meant if you got up at 3 AM to go pee, wham! Blinded by the light. Everybody wakes up! To add insult to injury if you shut the door, the light would go off and then you would be sitting on the pot in complete darkness. Lyon’s Dive, are you listening? Install a freaking light switch! We used our first aid kit to tape over the offending motion detector, which solve the problem. But geez. Overall, we had a great time, we’re glad we went, but we probably won’t go back to Lion’s Dive resort.

Very friendly and helpful staff; clean, comfortable rooms. The bed was especially comfy. Lots of storage space, balcony to dry our wet dive gear. This is our second time staying here and we would return.

Great beach resort with some amazing snorkeling and a non-existent service. When you're out on the beach and you're looking for a drink, a beer, a cocktail, a snack, or a meal, you end up laying on the beach for hours before, and if, a server shows up. Instead, all the restaurant staff just hangs out by the bar talking to one another. The servants also have an attitude.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay here but, this resort is full of dutch people. Very little english is spoken. The employees can speak multiple languages. The resort itself is nice, the music is sometimes loud at night 11 to 1 am. The food is average or below average compared to US food around the resort. Recommend renting a car to get dinner or lunch.

Nestled on a private island adjacent to the Curacao Sea Aquarium, the Royal Sea Aquarium Resort is a delightful beachfront getaway that perfectly balances relaxation and adventure. Guests can unwind by choosing from two inviting swimming pools or soaking in the hot tub, all while enjoying stunning sea views from their air-conditioned suites. Each suite comes equipped with modern amenities including free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and fully furnished kitchens or kitchenettes for added convenience.
Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. We had a full kitchen, sitting area and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. It was perfect for our family of 4 and gave my husband and I a little privacy. The staff was wonderful, the resort was clean and we loved having our own private beach to go to. It was never busy and we always had access to lawn chairs. Rented out snorkeling equipment from the front office which was free. I do recommend renting a car. The food around mambo Beach was just ok and it was nice to be able to go where we wanted for dinner and to explore some of the other beaches.

This is a great resort especially for a family. My suite was fantastic 307 A, I would recommend requesting it if available. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is a good restaurant right next to the resort and several just on the other side of the cove (easy walking distance). The suite had a nice kitchen, so even though it isn’t all inclusive you can buy groceries for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks. The beach is great, private, and has excellent snorkeling 🤿. It is expensive and I wouldn’t recommend if you’re traveling alone, but overall very nice.

Really great location, staff was very nice. It’s one of the smaller resorts but be rooms were huge. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but otherwise it was great. Get the breakfast added on it’ll get you to try the restaurant attached. The private beach was a cute addition. There is a lot for your rental cars. If affordable I’d get a rental car as well. There is a shuttle for the resort, just call ahead.

Immaculate hotel rooms, decent breakfasts. I went after Labor Day so it was not as busy with tourists. Pool area is neat with enough umbrellas and the man made beach was great with plenty of chairs and sun cover. Staff is friendly and accommodating, but they should have more knowledge of the better restaurants as well as an idea of what are good excursions to go on. The location is fine just farther away from downtown.

6 nights here was nice. We had a junior suite with ocean view. Our view was the aquarium & dolphin academy. Being able to see the dolphins daily was so serene. The hotel is a lil outdated. We had to keep changing the water bucket from the humidifier, twice a day. The AC worked great! Very relaxing room, nice bed, spacious area. TV channels can be better and have the guide to see what's showing. Glad we were able to sign into Netflix. Had microwave and mini fridge but nothing complementary given. House keeping was good. It is a time-share property, so it's not hotel guidelines. Also, parking is a lil walk, about 3-5mins, from the actual area. They do provide a parking pass. No major complaints, would return.

Good hotel, surrounded by water with a very nice beach. Very centrally located in a calm neighborhood among other hotels and apartments. Very American designed rooms with all amenities you need. Very friendly personal and from what I read a lot of activities you can either do at the hotel or they can organize for you.

They had the best beach on the whole island! Was a real paradise beach and the room with the ocean view!! I really really enjoyed this hotel. They didn't have any issues with me staying over my check out on the beach and they also had a shower to borrow! Highly suggested! Three smaller negatives: - No gym - Breakfast is not a buffet. - Not any bigger store close

Had a nice stay. Nice beach and pool area with an adjacent restaurant that isn’t good but 10 minute walk to Mamba Beach which has good selection of shops and food. Front desk staff very good but housekeeping hit or miss they missed refilling shampoo 2 of 7 nights. Good spacious space and good kitchen. You need a car or you will get very bored at resort. Taxis to town $20. Small aquarium next door.

Den Paradera Herb Garden Curaçao by Dinah Veeris is a rustic and charming garden featuring a diverse collection of herbs and plants deeply rooted in local culture. The garden serves as a repository for traditional remedies used for various ailments, some dating back to the time of slavery when access to doctors was limited. With over 300 plant species, visitors can explore the tranquil grounds while learning about the island's history and indigenous medicinal plants.
Beautiful and well thought out herb and tree garden. Includes all native plants with their medicinal use history. Also sells those products in the store.

Such a nice, calm and relaxing little spot in Curacao! I could’ve honestly spent half the day here just browsing the garden, enjoying the breeze and taking in all the different aromas. Plants are very well labeled throughout and there are various places to sit and read the provided literature while taking it all in. On a very hot day I sought some much needed comfort under the numerous shade trees of the garden. The store sells a variety of products at reasonable prices. I recommend!

Den Paradera is a cool garden with lots of plants ans also some history of the island. It is nice to know the names of plants you see all over Curaçao.
Ria P — Google review
The herb garden is a nice place to visit but the tour was short and not as informative as we had expected. Our guide mentioned how the garden had existed for many years and the founder was working on her 3rd book. We therefore thought we would have a more in-depth experience and a discussion of traditional medicinal uses of native plants and history of plant use on the island. We were introduced to roughly 5 different plants and the focus was largely on their use as musical instruments. The gift shop is small and stocked with herbal teas purported to resolve a number of medical issues. The folklore dance was nice, but short and presented by only two dancers performing to recorded music. Good for a quick visit on the way to other places of interest on the island.

I'm ashamed that I never remembered to leave a review for my 6 hour Island tour 2 years ago! I guess better late than never. This experience was one of the best days I've ever had. My best friend & I had an amazing trip, with Arnaldo, the owner, driving us all over the island due to heavy rainfall the previous night. We had a blast going through the large puddles, getting dirty & stopping at the most beautiful beaches & going swimming. Arnaldo is one of the funniest, happiest humans I've ever met. We were there during the rainy season & that year, they had gotten a lot of rain. The night before our tour, it rained A LOT & Arnaldo decided to drive us himself to keep us safe due to the high water. We preferred to be driven, so it worked out well & we were grateful we didn't get canceled. Absolutely take this tour. We learned a lot & saw so much of the island. Memories to last a lifetime. Thank-you!

I cannot recommend this place enough! We did the six hour west tour with Orson. He was so very knowledgeable, extremely personable, and so much fun to spend the day with! He took us to some amazing spots and customized the tour to fit our group of five. Lots of adventure and great fun! We will most definitely do another tour with Orson when we return to the island! Thank you Orson and ATV & Buggy Tours!!!!

I wasn’t sure at first if it would be worth it, but it was!! We had a fantastic experience. The guides are enthusiastic and really helped us relax and have a good time! They offered insight to the island’s history and took us to beautiful remote locations on the island. We did the 4 hr west side tour, next time I want to try the east side- can’t go wrong! Thank you Leo for the great tour!

We had such an amazing experience on the ATV & Buggy tour! Everything about it was great from start to finish. The two guides were incredible - so down-to-earth, chill, and made the whole group feel comfortable and safe while still having a blast. We chose the 6-hour tour and it was worth every single minute. The ride itself was fantastic - such a fun and exciting way to explore. Along the way we visited a super cool cave, stopped at a beautiful beach, and enjoyed the scenery throughout the whole journey. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for adventure, great vibes, and unforgettable memories

Our group of ten thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff demonstrated exceptional kindness and provided an engaging experience, including visits to the aloe farm, a swimming cave, and the beach. We participated in both on-road and off-road ATV excursions. The tour guides were highly entertaining, resulting in an unforgettable experience.

Research foundation
The Substation Curacao offers an unforgettable adventure 1,000 feet beneath the ocean's surface. Visitors descend into the depths using a four-person submarine identical to those used for research and exploration. The comprehensive pre-dive briefing ensures safety throughout the experience. The dive pilot provides detailed descriptions and explanations of marine life and shipwrecks in English or Dutch, depending on guests' needs. The highlight of the excursion is visiting a massive shipwreck at a depth of 161 meters.
Most amazing and unique experience to visit this shipwreck! We felt very safe with all the redundancies and certifications, and they did a great job explaining and guiding us through. It takes about an hour and you're on your stomach the entire time (heads up if you have back/shoulder issues). You'll remove your shoes and socks, so wear comfortable clothes and enjoy being under the sea!
Anita W — Google review
An absolutely incredible experience — worth every cent! The structure required to maintain a scientific submarine, the highly qualified team, and the entire setup are truly impressive. Considering the seriousness of the project, the care with the equipment, and the safety standards offered, the price is actually a bargain. They take the submarine out of the water every single day for maintenance — that says it all! Going down to 135 meters deep is something very few people in the world will ever experience. It was an unforgettable adventure with an amazing crew. But if you don’t value technology, engineering, marine life, and science — this might not be for you. We absolutely loved it!
Vanessa U — Google review
WOW. This place is the real deal. Exploring wrecks in "the twilight zone" in an actual submersible, with a crew that's helped the Smithsonian and other institutions discover dozens of new species in the waters off of Curacao. My tour, to the wreck of the scuttled drug smuggling ship Stella Maris, was pretty routine for the crew, but a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. I'm a pretty cool customer, travelled a lot of places, done a lot of tours and rides, but this was something I never knew was on my bucket list until I did it. On top of that, the crew was extremely friendly and knowledgable, even giving my toddler a tour of the sub and thrilling him by letting him watch while they launched it by crane. He couldn't do the trip - you have to be at least 8 years old, but that's probably for the best. They were also helpful and flexible in getting me on board and out at the times I needed to go. Being in the "tube" of the sub for the first time is psychologically intense. It's a very small, confined space, but the view out of the porthole is literally out of this world. If you're thinking about it, absolutely worth doing.
Sam D — Google review
An amazing experience we would recommend to everyone, who is seeking a real adventure! Unique opportunity to explore the sea life under the water (up to 200m below the sea level) and feel like Captain Nemo! You will encounter different fish, corrals and other underwater life. Our pilot Frank carefully explained all the safety features, what to expect and navigated in a safe and professional way. During the dive, Frank provided some valuable info about the creatures we saw. Jordy was taking care of us on land, and on top of this, he took some fantastic pictures to memorize this unbelievable underwater journey. Thanks Team! Masha Danki! Dank je wel!
Nadezhda S — Google review
This was the best experience and attraction during a weeklong stay on Curacao. Jordy and Frank went far and above the normal customer service standard on the island. It was incredible to dive in comfort and go well beyond scuba diving depths. Methodical safety protocols. Very highly recommended!
Scott G — Google review
Overall, I loved this. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I'll update this a bit later with a detailed blog post. In brief, it's pricey but a unique experience, making it worth the value. Lindsey and I did the exploration dive, which was $1000 total, and added the photo package for another $100. So all in was $1100. I then saw on Facebook there was a Valentines Day special, after we left, which was 10% off. I messaged them, and they applied the discount immediately, with no questions asked. This was a good experience. On thing I would think to consider as a guest is the size of the sub and number of people in it. Know what you want, and ask questions. I was a bit taken back when another group was with us. By all the photos on the site, it looks like it's a private tour, but it's was not. Given we were there as a travel company creating content, I would have preferred to purchase an private option, but I didn't know better and used the available pictures as guidance.

This was an absolute amazing experience! We did the exploration dive of 200 meters (600ft) and loved every moment. Substation Curaçao is a true gem and you will be thrilled with any tour you go on and I highly recommend booking this excursion. Their submarines are up to date, comfortable (each of us are all over 6ft tall in the sub) and you can tell the company takes wonderful care of their equipment. Every seat inside the sub has great window views all around and this can easily be an amazing experience for a family, with friends or as a couple. Tico was our submarine driver and was excellent with knowledge about everything we saw. You will not be disappointed with booking a dive here!
Marilyn L — Google review
Something everyone should do at least once! MUCH better than we expected based on the website. The new sub is really easy to get into, and you’re comfortable in seats, not lying down. We happened to go with only two of us, and it’s not clear how they’d decide who gets the front seats if it’s two separate couples, so you might want to ask. We opted for the shortest trip because of the unknowns but would definitely recommend the deepest dive if your budget allows. The team is amazing and our pilot (Ika) was wonderful.

Seaquarium Beach, also known as Mambo Beach, is a vibrant public beach with an access fee and a designated swimming area. It's situated near Curacao's Seaquarium and is conveniently close to Willemstad, the capital city. The beach is located in a commercial area with numerous restaurants and bars along the oceanfront. Unlike many other beaches in the area, Seaquarium Beach isn't nestled in a cove; however, measures have been taken to maintain calm waters.

The color of the water is beautiful and any picture you take will look great. Near the beach there is an aquarium but I didn't get in because first, I don't like to see animals being taken advantage of. Second, the entrance is expensive to sée prisoner animals. I recently participated in a snorkeling tour organized by Atlantic Adventures during my Royal Caribbean cruise in Curaçao, and I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with both the service and treatment I received. The current during the tour was very strong, and at one point, I found myself struggling in the water. Despite calling out for help, the boat crew Alma, did not assist me. When I asked why he didn’t help, he responded that he saw I was not drowning, and therefore felt no need to offer assistance. Ultimately, it was my kid who helped me return to the boat. Rather than offering support, Alma proceeded to criticize my use of the equipment in a rude and condescending manner. His attitude was extremely unprofessional—imagine returning to the boat after a distressing experience, only to be met with shouting and harsh criticism. Additionally, the quality of the equipment provided was subpar. I observed other guests struggling to exchange faulty gear mid-tour, which further detracted from the experience. I was also dismayed by the lack of empathy shown by the other crew members. When I requested Alma’s name and expressed my disappointment at his refusal to assist me, he merely continued to criticize me for not knowing how to swim, despite my experience with over 20 snorkeling tours, all of which have been conducted in calm waters. The tour description made no mention of any specific swimming ability requirements, and his dismissive attitude was entirely uncalled for. At no point did Alma check on my well-being, nor did any other crew member offer support. Furthermore, I noticed a concerning difference in the way Alma interacted with other guests. He was notably friendly and warm towards American tourists, yet his behavior towards me, as an Asian woman, was cold, dismissive, and even discriminatory. This made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Lastly, the tour guide, Sophia, was unhelpful when I tried to share my concerns with her about the situation. She completely ignored me, which only added to my frustration and disappointment. This experience was extremely upsetting. I will not be recommending this tour to others, as it severely tarnished my vacation experience.

This excursion was amazing in such a beautiful island.Great for those who have younger children mines are 3 and 5. We were able to see fish in their natural habitat without snorkeling or scuba diving. The tour guide also jumped into the ocean and made the fish swim closer to the semi-sub to get an up and close view. Also gave my son a hi five through the glass. Memories they will keep with them for a lifetime. Thank you for the experience!

A tiny strip of a beach with a parking lot and decent snorkeling (especially on the right side). Strong swimmers can go around the point and make it to Playa Lagun as well. Stick to the cliffs though as hot rod jet skiers like to tear it up near by and there are often a few fishing boats.

Beautiful, quiet beach. No entry fee. The snorkeling is underrated in my opinion. We saw 11 squid our first day and 5 more the next! The reef by the cliff on the right side is lovely, teeming with fish and very picturesque. The beach is kept clean, chairs available for rent as well as shade sails and umbrellas. If you want more amenities, this is not the beach for you, though. No food, no bathrooms. There was a watchful attendant looking out for the parking lot. Much appreciated!

I love this beach! Such a great relaxed vibe here. There was a stunning view from the parking area above, and even some cute cats lingering around. Once down on the beach there were little cave like nooks on each end. I walked through the water to get to this little spot on the left side and sat up on some rocks. I love to collect sea glass, so I’m always running my hand through the rocks to see what pops out. To my surprise I found a super rare red piece right there! I collected a small handful of other sea glass colors, a couple shells, as well as a few sea worn pennies. Great spot to treasure hunt or just relax in the sun or shade.

It's a beautiful park, so much to see and to photograph. The restaurant is fantastic, super delicious food and the people that serve you are so nice and polite and always friendly. A very good example of how it should be!

Thoroughly enjoyed exploring and walking around this nature park. Gods Hand, the trails, Sugar Mill, mango forest and a delish lunch at the restaurant. Definitely worth a stop if you’re driving by!! Check out our full video of Hofi Mango and our other Curacao adventures on YouTube: Wandered Off

There is nothing to see in hòfi Mango. Just some mango trees and manzanilla trees. Apart from that there is literally nothing to see. All of this nothing comes with a price tag of XCG 31,50. If you can go to the restaurant FOR FREE, try the Li or Quesillo di Mango. Apart from that DO NOT BUY ANY ALCOHOL in there shop as it is 20% more expensive then anywhere on the island. Enjoy the tasting, but buy your liquor elsewhere, for example at the airport when departing. If you look at my pics, you saw it all. The exploiter of this hòfi is making serious money selling views of trees. 😂😂😂

Hofi Mango in Curaçao is a must-see! I highly recommend arriving early and joining the guided tour — it was both informative and enjoyable. You’ll learn a lot about the local flora and fauna while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. It’s a beautiful, family-friendly spot that's perfect for all ages to experience the tranquility and beauty of nature. Don’t miss it!

This was a wonderful discovery - a truly authentic tourist attraction created on a sugar "plantation" dating back to the 1700s but still set in a completely natural location. There are many trees so walking around is shaded and cooler from Curaçao usual 28-32c.... There is one steep hill climb otherwise it all easy, fun and enjoyable. The pictures also show its fun and quirky! Oh, the open air restaurant is SUPERB for breakfast or dinner!

We spent a couple of hours exploring, had a drink up at the "hands of God", then we had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant.

this is a very quiet and natural place to see nature in an area where nature is hard to be seen up close because of the thickness of the undergrowth. it is on the grounds of a very old plantation with very old trees. The food was great. The view from the top of the hill was amazing and uplifting. The people that work here are all very nice friendly and bilingual. My wife is well had a very good time. there were quite a lot of birds here and soon to be a butterfly preserve.
