Nestled in the heart of Acapulco, the Acapulco Historical Museum of Fort San Diego is a remarkable 17th-century pentagonal fortress that stands as a testament to the city's rich history. Originally constructed in 1616 to defend against pirate invasions targeting valuable trade ships returning from Asia, this impressive structure was remodeled in 1776 and now houses 13 exhibition halls dedicated to military history.
This historic fort, now a museum, is right next to the cruise ship terminal so its easy to visit this star shaped fort (with a moat and portcullis). It is full of cannon, excavations showing original foundations, and cultural exhibits representing both Spanish and Japanese early travelers and influences on the Mexican culture. You can also see Mayan artefacts, armor for horses, and knights, ancient sea chests, and of course you can wander the battlements and sight along the cannon barrels out into the city or bay.
Graham T — Google review
The exhibits are excellently presented and informative. Google Translate helped immensely as my Spanish is limited. Great history here.

Located atop a historic fortress overlooking Acapulco Bay, the San Diego Fort Museum offers a fascinating experience. It’s spacious, well-maintained, and features impressively realistic models that vividly illustrate important episodes from the port’s history. The museum’s galleries are neat and thoughtfully arranged, making the visit comfortable and enjoyable for all audiences. From the halls and terraces, you can admire breathtaking views of the sea—perfect for photos or simply soaking in the scenery. Free parking makes it easy to access, without any hassle. Whether you're looking to dive into local history or enjoy a culturally rich and scenic experience in Acapulco, this museum is a top choice.
Efrain C — Google review
I read a review that said the museum was in awful condition. The review failed to mention that it was a few months after the massive storm that destroyed Acapulco. Please ignore this review, your museum is up and running. We went today, museum is an excellent condition with interesting artefacts from Asia and Mexico. The models of the galleons that did the Manila Acapulco run are fascinating. I would recommend an hour or two for this museum.
Sheridan G — Google review
Recently remodelled, it shows the history and culture of the bay. It has a collection of maritime images and artifacts. Acapulco is not only a party and beach destination, it has a rich heritage and history.
René S — Google review
Loved the fort and the museum. Google translate was my friend as all the displays are in Spanish.

Outstanding view of the city. And the exhibits are superb: specially the one about AFRO-DESCENDENDANTS by Programmer and child prodigy, Juan Manuel G. LOPEZ

A great place in Acapulco! Few people know it’s the most historical place in this area. This historic museum has a beautiful art collection and expositions. We hope they reopen again soon. The architectural particular style makes it unique also. It is like a star structure. And also from here you have a lovely view of the bay. ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Park
Parque Papagayo, located along the bustling Avenida Costera Miguel Aleman in Acapulco, serves as a vibrant green oasis amidst the urban landscape. Spanning 22 hectares, this park features three picturesque artificial lakes surrounded by lush tropical flora and is home to various exotic animals. Known also as Parque Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, it’s a favorite spot for families and young visitors alike.
This was an amazing park to go to before hurricane Otis. I loved the animals that you could see in the park, such as, iguanas, turtles, ducks, monkeys and much more. There was a pool for children to swim in as well and a nice little train for guest to ride on throughout the park too. I hope it's rebuilt soon for future tourists to see.
Dejsha B — Google review
This was the only place I enjoyed in Acapulco. We were able to see the cliff diver's and we were treated to some dancing showcasing the history of Mexico.

The park renovations look amazing! You can find plenty to do here. Public swimming pool is about 15 pesos ($1 USD). They have a few monkeys you can see. Have to pay 5 pesos to use the bathroom there.

Capilla de la Paz, also known as the Chapel of Peace, is a striking modern structure with pyramid-style architecture and a massive stone cross standing over 131 feet tall. This clifftop chapel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Acapulco Bay and serves as an open-air sanctuary. Visitors can admire the iconic forty-meter-high Cross and the Hands of the Brotherhood sculpture by Claudio Favier.
What a cool, peaceful place in the mountain. The view of the sea and the bay are wonderful. Free to enter, but you can leave a donation. Note, this is in a secure, private neighborhood; so you need to go through security. Only open until 6pm. The parking area is on the street. You will need to walk up a steep hill about 80 meters in length to get to the chapel grounds.
Rick T — Google review
La Capilla de la Paz is truly one of Acapulco’s hidden gems. Perched high on the hilltop of Las Brisas, the chapel offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the bay and surrounding mountains. The moment you arrive, there’s a profound sense of calm. The architecture is striking — modern yet spiritual — with a massive white cross that stands over 40 meters tall, visible from much of the city. The bronze sculpture of praying hands near the entrance is powerful and symbolic. Inside, the open-air chapel is simple but deeply moving, filled with natural light and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. We were greeted by the serene sound of birds and the rustling of palm trees, and even though it was a warm afternoon, the cool mountain breeze made it perfect. It’s not just a religious site — it’s a peaceful place to reflect, take in the view, and feel connected to something bigger. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Acapulco, whether you’re spiritual or simply looking for tranquility and beauty.
Marc P — Google review
Very high on a mountain, we passed several of what can only be termed mansions or luxury homes on our long coach ride up. Our guide suggested several Hollywood stars owned some of the houses, all of them with infinity pools hanging off the cliffside. At the top stands a quite modern chapel (possibly ultramodern in design) and several monuments, one for the Las Manos de la Hermandad (Builders). Tombs are present for prominent / wealthy families. Views from all sides are spectacular. In more rural areas, there is more honor to a family to be buried higher on a hill, and there is no higher hill than this in Acapulco. One one side I could see down along the entire bay of Acapulco and its waterfront.
Graham T — Google review
This chapel is located on a peak of one the highest hills serounding Acapulco. This is a beautiful place with great views of Acapulco's bay. The atmosphere is very quiet and placid. I highly recomnend visiting this place. Be aware that the chapel and the vista points aren't wheelchair accessible.
Lavi S — Google review
Beautiful overview. Place is empty and not much to do there besides to take a few pictures. May take 15-20 min in total.

The views are amazing. No picture gives the chapel any justice. While we were there the chapel was preparing for a wedding. Oir guide said the chapel is very popular for weddings and events.

We stayed for a month at the diamond Beach club, every evening we would come to swim and see sunset, absolutely beautiful. The problem being 2 of my sons and my wife refused to go into the water because there would be brown like rust covering the water at times. My other son and me, didn't care we jumped in the waves had fun all the time. However the contractors rebuilding the hotels told us there are many boats that sank in the sea from the hurricane, and there giving off a lot of bad substances from degrading. When we arrive back to the states my son who was in the sea was sick they tested his blood and he had huge levels of lead in his system, guess what so did I. My wife and The other 2 boys didn't have any at all, their levels normal. So my advice enjoy the pools, enjoy the sunset at the beach but don't go in the water at the moment, it's to risky, they need to do something about the boats that are sank and leaking battery acid and metal.

The last time we went, the palapas were already 500 pesos for the whole day, they are worth it and you already have your things, however, we had a swell and if the beach has already been swallowed up by the swell, there is almost no room left. If the waves are coming towards the palapa, so be prepared to grab your things. Families can enjoy racing down slides, experiencing the wave pool, engaging in water battles, and even attending captivating dolphin shows. The park also features attractions like the Skycoaster for adrenaline seekers.
Had a great day here... it was very cheap to swim with the dolphins so I would recommend if you are here to do that. Good drinks and a great place to relax and enjoy the dolphin shows. Good rides that need to be updated and maintained a bit better. Would return.
Marisol — Google review
Needs a lot of maintenance. Dolphin show was very fun! Wouldn’t eat the food. You have access to the beach with your ticket! My favorite spot of the beach club pool.
Patricia T — Google review
Place needs alot of work.. complete remodeling. Or overhaul.. first time there .. also not all toboggans . We're operable... You can go inside the pools. And can see rust on the structure inside the water and concrete coming off.. also food is not good. At all it's Mexico.. it should be fresh.. meaning hamburger and churros are mostly frozen items. Their bar is also. Low on items. Bathrooms on rear are awful. Customer service . It's not that good either..
Jaime R — Google review
I went to this attraction on 6 Aug 2022. The advertisement both on the website and social media are lies. From all the water rides only two rides were operational. The park still charged the same price and people aren’t made aware of the disfunction of the rides prior to paying. The pools are definitely not clean and you can tell from the the trash at the bottom of the pool. I think if people are aware of the park having only two rides and letting them decide if to spend the money or not it would be more respectable. However, the dolphin show was beautiful, the people and staff were all super helpful and amazing. My family definitely enjoyed the show as well as the private show. Staff were kind and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Respectfully. Tito IG (tito____1535)

This was our second time coming here. The place is great. School doesn’t let out here until July so if you decided to come during this time, bring food and drinks they will let you. But if you come during July or August they have plenty of drink and food options to choose from. If you ever want to swim with dolphins, this is definitely the place to go!! It was amazing and we loved our experience!!
Nora O — Google review
The place is too small there are only two swimming pools and some attractions are closed, however there's a dolphin show which is worth a try.
Luis M — Google review
When we went on a Wednesday morning, there were only two slides open. Also, I was rather scared that one of them might break down, as many parts of the stairs were rusted through and needed maintenance. I imagine it was fantastic in the 90s, but now it looks rundown.

Beautiful as always. However the fountain is not working. Would be nice if it was. Working properly.
Jaime R — Google review
Recently redesigned and rededicated in 2017, this statue is literally unmissable - it is in the main strip of Acapulco. The statue towers over everything on a curved base. At night it is lit up in ever changing colors, and occasionally the fountains are on. A pretty sight, but not worth a special trip. The sculptures choose the theme of Diana, the Roman Goddess of the hunt, but to gave it a Mexican characteristic: this goddess is not hunting beasts in the woods with her bow, but rather the stars of the northern skies. It also coincidentally points to Mexico City, the source of most tourists.

Playa Puerto Marqués is a smaller, more peaceful beach compared to the main one in Acapulco. The view is breathtaking and it's a great spot to relax until sunset. The water is clean and calm, making it ideal for swimming, especially for families with children. However, visitors should be prepared for local vendors who may overprice their goods. Despite this, activities like banana rides and jet skiing come highly recommended at this picturesque beach.
Pretty clean water, really nice beach to stay until sunset, in vacation ist pretty crowded but still pretty good
Bruno R — Google review
The people are friendly, honest and very hard-working. There are so many roving vendors, you really can't get a break. Me and my partner were even forcibly massaged on the beach. She did a great job, but I literally told her no about 35 times, no exaggeration. I felt great afterwards, so I really don't know how to feel about it. There is a few spots around the restaurants with sewage seeping into the streets. I say do not eat down in the village. If you do, you brave soul, remember the rules: only bottled beverages and well-cooked foods! Wish I had pictures to share, but I get too wrapped up in having the experience than documenting it. Check out the street view on Google maps. It's like that.

The beach is great the view is amazing beyond words, but the people there try to sell you things and overprice you ESPECIALLY of you are a tourist luckily I have family over there and they didn't get away with it !!!!! Would really recommend the bananna ride + jet ski

Nice beach to swim with calm sea, best for families with children for safety
Aum V — Google review
The restaurant we ate at during our stay on the beach was expensive for the quality of food and drinks provided. Also, when we left there was a car parked behind us and no one could find the keys for the car. Once the truck next to me departed, I slowly maneuvered back and forth until I was able to exit ... and then three "parking lot attendants" asked for a tip! WHAT? They didnt even help me get out of the situation ): The beach was nice though.
Beckett P — Google review
Plan on being harassed for both parking and eating. Some were actually blocking the road. To Make things worse, one-way street in and one-way street out. We were hungry and would have liked to support the town but Felt uncomfortable enough to leave.
James D — Google review
It's a smaller beach than the main one on Acapulco. Seems more chill and peaceful here if you like to get away form the larger beach and the hustle.
Garry S — Google review
Well worth the cost of a cab ride for the peace and quiet. As with most of Mexican beach front areas...the mall comes to you! Changing the name of the country to "Se Vende", would seem reasonable...lol. Pretty clean beach. Owners of the particular "slice" of the beach, do a great job of supplying food and beverages. Locally sourced fish is very good. Snorkeling opportunities along the rocks at the extreme end of the roped off areas. Ray's, stripers, groupers, gar, trigger fish and occasionally neons.

Krystal Beach Acapulco is a relaxed beachfront hotel offering unfussy rooms, some with balconies and bay views. It's conveniently located in the Costera Acapulco district, steps away from Parque Papagayo and Galerias Acapulco. The hotel provides easy access to recreational activities such as hiking in the lush Sierra Madre mountains or exploring nearby caves and zip-lining during the rainy season.
My mom, and I was with a tour group to Mexico and one of the many stops was this one and that the both of us shared one room with two beds. The service was wonderful because they cleaned the room daily. The location was perfect because it has perfect views of the beach.
Jonathan — Google review
I absolutely will never visit this hotel again. I went here with my family for my brother’s college graduation and on the first night we were given a smelly room, were later accused of still owing money to the hotel even after we received our all-inclusive bracelets and were given our rooms (because we paid!). It turns out they had several complaints prior to my family visiting where they tried to scam Americans out of money with this foul trick. We were shown paperwork that said my family owed $10,000 more pesos we had “never paid.” Out of thin air! The front desk people were extremely rude and unprofessional as well as their “manager.” How was the problem fixed? They said they cleaned the smell from the room and said the extra charge was their error and we actually owned nothing. Just like that, they wanted to brush it off like we hadn’t spent 3+ hours trying to fix the problem and explain we paid all fees. Some of my family skipped dinner fighting this that night and it really ruined our vacation from day 1. Beware also on the weekend, the elevators can take over an hour to bring you up or down floors. I spent 1.5 hours trying to get from the 19th floor to the lobby. Horrible experience all around!!
Lexi — Google review
Hotel Krystal Beach Acapulco is very old and outdated. At check-in, when I arrived, Sharon, the front desk person, was very unprofessional, seated down reading a book as if she were in a bar. That speaks volumes—very bad taste. When I approached her, she didn’t even say hello. I felt like I was bothering her; she never even tried to make me feel welcomed. The same goes for the bellman. I received my key and was excited to see the property and my room since this used to be a Marriott property back in the day. However, to my surprise, the room was so outdated and had an awful mold smell. It’s a very old property, and they don’t even try to upkeep it. The facility really needs some help, but considering it’s a small property, I think the owners only care about making a little money instead of taking care of the hotel and its guests. Unfortunately, I don’t recommend this property at all. Terrible service and an outdated hotel that is falling apart.
MyPersonal R — Google review
The staff I encountered were super nice. They are very slow with service in many cases because the front desk is so busy. Everytime I called from room no one picked up. The hotel is huge. My room wasn’t available so they upgraded me to a fancy suite. So this made all the difference for our experience. If I had to deal with some of the issues in a regular room I think I’d be annoyed but since I was in a suite I couldn’t complain too much. :) The food is mediocre. We ate outside hotel only 1x and it was much better. I recommend that for anyone staying here. The pools look nice but the beach is juts outside so I went to the ocean. Near the hotel is much calmer but crowded. As you move away from hotel It gets less crowded but the waves are also rougher. The elevators are a mess. There are 4 but they are not efficient and they take forever. So a bunch of things to improve. The view from our room, AMAZING!!
N A — Google review
Having a good time in Acapulco, the hotel is clean and the staff is great, always attend and ready to help. In the restaurant we liked the great service of Marcos, Irving, Nayeli and Juan Pablo. And at the beach Eduardo, Sebastian and Gilberto.

Hotel spot, works, rooms are basic for what they are meant to (sleep) air conditioning works to keep you comfortable. The attention (services) I think depends on the mood of the people! The buffet it’s ok. So 3 stars will be fair

Palacio Mundo Imperial is a luxurious 5-star hotel located in the heart of Acapulco, offering 814 rooms and a poolside bar. Situated in the Acapulco Diamante area, it overlooks the city and is just 2.5 kilometers from the International Acapulco Airport. The resort features outdoor pools, golf courses, a spa, tennis court, and a stunning promenade.
Everything: room was clean, ample and new. Location was great, close to amazing taco place and a super market. The pool was lovely, it had an area with sand near the pool, which my 4 year old loved. Room service was great, fair warning, the portions are Huge but the prices are reasonable. It also has the beach club service as it is a 10 min car trip, we fully took advantage as we spent the day there and even ate fresh fish, food was delicious. We will go back, my recommendation is DO NOT take the All inclusive package as Acapulco has a lot of places you can eat well.

This was the first time we have been to Acapulco. We stayed at the Princess Mundo and went to the Palacio for lunch. It was a great experience. I loved that we could bounce between the three properties. The service was great the rooms were great the food was the best I have had in Mexico

It has ocean views from some rooms but not beach access The location though is perfect, right in front of the convention center if you are attending an event there. La Isla Mall is very close too, however, unfortunately at the moment only Liverpool is open, most of the mall is a ghost town, what a shame! The pools here nice, and it has a huge Jacuzzi which I loved!

I have stayed in many hotels, but none have compared with Palacio Mundo Imperial. This hotel is one of my favorites in their franchise. If you are looking for a family environment and a lot of entretaining this is your hotel. Here, you could find 6 differents pools, even a wave pool. Moreover if you are a food lover and an indecisive person, you can try at least 6 different restaurants, Italian food, mexican food, japanese food, etc, It doesn’t matter what you will pick, it will be delicious. And if you are interested in architecture prepare your camera because you will be fascinated with all the masterpieces and statues What are you waiting for? Visit Palacio Mundo Imperial and have fun with all the family

I accompanied a friend attending a medical conference, I relaxed while he needed rest & preparation time. The rain incessant music below our room 3307 made for terrible sleep. And the loud music was everywhere!! I explored the resort & found the places I enjoyed the most. The gym; but two elliptical machines were broken ... The many pools were great! The restaurants I liked the best; Mizumi & Carnivore. Our room was adequate but there were a few issues; the closet door was not smooth to open, water leaks from the shower & one sink. All in all, I enjoyed the stay & happy that the resort is functional post Hurricane Otis!

The hotel features outdoor pools, fun activities like tequila volleyball, and a private beach area where you can unwind.
First time visiting Acapulco I purchased 7 days all inclusive at Ritz Acapulco. Ocean view room. Fantastic view. The staff is so friendly. Absolutely loved their service. Very warm and welcoming. Rooms are in good condition and very clean. I just love the view from my balcony. I could sleep with the sound of the waves, so soothing. The food is what I will visit Ritz Acapulco for. Every day different menu for Lunch and Dinner. Unlimited food and the quality of food is excellent. Pino was serving our table and he was very nice friendly and helpful. Food is just great with all varieties of cuisines. There are activities throughout the day including kayaking, beach volleyball, aqua aerobics and live show in the evening and live band performing in the evening. Highly recommend to visit this place for excellent service and great food. Worth every dime. My family enjoyed the stay and will plan a trip again just for the food and the friendly service of the staff.

Very noisy disco that has obnoxious music until 5 am in the morning. Difficult sleeping, sometimes maddening. The hotel msnagement should get municipal codes enacted to prevent this noise.

The hotel is very old, the elevator feels like it's going to die eventually. The rooms look old and dirty, you don't feel like using the tub on the room as it feels awfully unkeeped. Rooms are very noisy, you can hear all traffic jam from even the 6th floor... they were doing also some repairs on another floor and we could listen the noise since very early, super annoying. There's only one swimming pool and it is very small for the size of the hotel, so it's incredibly crowded. Very bad experience, not really worth for the price level it has, there are way better options. I would describe the hotel as dirty, noisy, old and crowded.

A ok place to relax. The beach side was nice, but steep. They were nice and patient with us. However I did come back home with food poisoning on the third day I was there. The water I suspect my main problem and the reason I got sick. Some of the food were good but the other food I also suspect also got me sick. Aside from the food, their beds were tough and stiff bit I can't blame them for that. I will say that I didnt see their rules for the cafeteria in not wearing swimsuits in the area. The staff are amazing! The highest rating for us! Some cosmetic issues had me give them 4 stars but I’d see they are updating. The communication in English could be better but then again there were few Americans here. Very friendly and helpful. Most of the communication issues were about the restaurant times and options. Check in was longer than we wanted and after a very long flight to get here it was hard to deal with. We will be back next year for sure!!

We have stayed in many all inclusive resorts in Mexico, and this was by far not the nicest place we have stayed. Pools were in need of updating. Tiles missing, dirty edges, etc...no swim up bar. Food was not good at any of the restaurants. We did not enjoy one meal the entire week. Very little English spoken by anyone around the resort. Room was average at best. We did have a beautiful view from our balcony. We enjoyed the beautiful beach every day. Gorgeous sunsets at night were breathtaking! Always felt safe at resort and walking the streets. Locals were all very very welcoming. Airport and transportation to and from the airport was quick and easy. Probably the easiest airport in Mexico we have ever been through which was great. We met many friendly locals we formed relationships with while we was there for a week. We were there in September 2023, one month prior to hurricane Otis. My wife and I pray that those affected by this hurricane are recovering and that tourism will once again return to this beautiful destination. Just not sure we would ever return to this resort. Fell short of our expectations. Prayers for Acapulco during this time of rebuilding and recovery. Praying for those lost in the storm and the families affected.

I booked Dreams Acapulco for a once-in-a-lifetime 50th birthday destination celebration for my wife and our friends, paying approximately $16,000. Unfortunately, when Hurricane Otis devastated Acapulco, our trip was disrupted. Despite multiple attempts by our event planner, and even my attorney, the resort has failed to provide a refund or even consistent communication. After a couple of initial responses, Dreams Acapulco went completely silent. To this day, we have received neither a refund nor any update on when or how they plan to resolve this matter. This has been more than just a financial loss—it has caused embarrassment with my friends who generously contributed to the trip, and it has left us extremely disappointed in the way Dreams Acapulco treats paying customers in the aftermath of a natural disaster. A reputable resort should stand by its customers in situations like this, not disappear. I strongly caution anyone considering booking here to be aware of how they handle crises and customer funds. I am still awaiting resolution, and I expect Dreams Acapulco to honor their obligations and issue the refund promptly.

If you go to the bar the bartenders ignore you. The food is bad, you have to wait an hour to get seated in every restaurant..no air conditioner in the hotel only in the rooms..the pools are really dirty..they use cheap alcohol in the drinks..in my son's room service he found 2 hairs and a cockroach..he found a bone in his hamburger..doormen and front desk staff are not welcoming and rude too.

We had a room with ocean view for 6 nights (couple from Switzerland). And let's start with this: We would never come back. Almost none of the staff spoke English, which made even the check-in complicated. We had to change the room cause we accidentally booked one with Twin beds. We got a new one but it took 3 staff members to explain that we had to pay more and how much and that we still had a room with ocean view. Then we did not understand the room number in Spanish and we could not decrypt what she wrote on the card. We could guess the right room but the key cards did not work so we had to go back to the lobby again. The room itself had a beautiful view and was very large. AC was working and everything neccessary was there. We tried to order a second blanked through the hotel app twice and we asked for one 2 or 3 times at the lobby but never got one. Housekeeping was good regarding the cleaning but we got a different amount of towels every day, sometimes we had 3 to shower but none for the floor or the hands. The app from the hotel itself was good and helpful cause the restaurants changed their opening hours from time to time. The link to the menus did not work in the app but that was ok. Don't go to La Trattoria though, it has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisin, althought the idea with a pasta and a pizza buffet seemed nice. We wanted to order room service for breakfast once: Should have done it the day before or super early in the morning as we had to choose a timeslot. This of course, you've only been told AFTER you choose all your food and drinks. For the omlett you could only choose one ingredient, very poor. But we have to say the food was not really great overall. Not really local dishes and the quality was rather poor. I got diarreah the first day until we left. And we were a week in Tulum before and I could even eat local street food without any problems. The facilities were all very clean, even the beach area which only got messy at our last day. Service at the pool and beach was really good, very attentive and friendly staff. And all-inclusive ment: All drinks and food in every restaurant for free. With better food and drinks, that would have been amazing. In general, I would not come back to Acapulco and sure as hell never come back to this hotel. I never felt welcomed here cause we did not speak Spanish. We never saw the Spa facilities but we also never asked. One of the pool is ment to be with salt water, which is not true.

Hotel had no Ac in any of the restaurants. Some restaurants and bar where close. Some staff are very friendly but room service was horrible. We had no waters in refrigerator, we asked for an iron and had to call three times to get what we needed. When they clean our room the forgot to put towels and rug. We had to call them two times to get what we needed. The worst was not having any Air Conditioning in the lobby or any of the restaurants.
Jose H — Google review
While I won't comment on the food or drink I will focus on the service so you know about the hotel: had to wait 2 hours to do check-in and looking at another day, people had the same experience. When calling service by phone, we would have to call multiple times to get an answer. The waitress have to compete with guests to order drinks in the available bars (you will often see 7 waitress waiting for their drinks with a few guests trying to get something to speed up). At Restaurants, the waitress will use the regular bars to order drinks, so you will have to wait for your drink. Restaurants have queue to eat so be ready to wait. The staff was nice and polite so the problem listed here is really a management issue to be honest. I would recommend you looking at another hotel.

Unfortunately, we are very unhappy with our stay. My husband and I booked 10 days for our honeymoon and this resort was nothing we were hoping for, especially for the price. Food is repetitive and there are limited meal options and restaurants open. We ate pasta and pizza at least 5 times during our trip. Other food options are mediocre. We booked a “honeymoon” package and did not receive the spa treatments or massages due to the spa being closed or the nightly turn down service that we were promised. The air conditioning will only go below 23-24 degrees Celsius only on Friday and Saturday due to more tourism on the weekend. The staff are friendly and pleasant but still we are very upset that we chose this “Dreams” resort location. Needs a great deal of renovations

The venue also features multiple bowling lanes for visitors of all ages to enjoy. It's an ideal spot for parents to leave older kids while they go shopping or for families to have a fun day out together.
Definitely a great experience! My friends and I went on Friday to make sure that we didn't need a reservation to get a lane. We were advised, reservations aren't typically necessary. We came on Saturday around 5:30 PM and we were able to get a lane quickly. We were sad that the package we wanted with certain food items were unavailable so we settled for a small popcorn with one small drink. The shoes and balls are included in the package too. They offer deals for certain days as well. Overall, my family and I had a great time and we'll definitely come back again soon. There were a lot of people there, and the staff handled everyone nicely.

Nestled in the vibrant Boulevard Barra Vieja district of Acapulco, Monyoli Hotel & Boutique is conveniently located just a stone's throw away from Barra Vieja Beach and within close proximity to other attractions such as Revolcadero Beach and Chapel of Peace. This charming hotel boasts comfortable units with modern amenities including flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, and private bathrooms.
Cute little boutique hotel with a lot of attention to detail in their common areas. While the pool is quite small the seating is expansive on several levels. What really hits this place home is the decoration combined of art and plants. Wow! The rooms are dated but clean and with ample facilities. The breakfast you van arrange is also fresh and prepared with care! Great experience!

Great hotel and area, but severely damaged by Otis. Check the room conditions before committing. Liked · The hotel itself is nice and well-designed and the staff is very courteous. The hotel has an enjoyable pool and resting/relaxing areas on the premises. The whole complex is small in size, as expected from the boutique hotel style which adds to the calm experience. Disliked · Hurricane Otis was the worst that had ever hit Mexico. The damages were catastrophic. We headed into the area knowing that it was severely impacted and is under recovery struggle. That being said, the hurricane disaster should not be used as an excuse to sell rooms and amenities that do not exist. We have booked a rather expensive "King room with SPA bath, AC and Kitchen". There was no Kitchen, No AC, No SPA bath (just a cold water pool without running water) and the shower drain smelled like sewage, to the extent that despite 2 rounds of washing our luggage and items the foul smell still lingers. The owners used Otis as an excuse, even though they are fully aware that what they are offering online does not exist. The only accommodation we received was an air freshener, shower drain cover, and an offer for a downgraded room in a different hotel somewhere else for the last 2 nights (unknown conditions). In normal circumstances that would be a request for a full refund, but given that we knew about the disaster and we have willingly taken the risk to go to the area and the struggle of the Acapulco region is very real, we don't think that would be fair.

I always went there because it was simply beautiful along with sunsets. The water is gorgeous. The high rise hotels give it that international appeal with the mountain backdrop. Many of the world's best resorts can be found there. Unfortunately and sadly in the last 15 or so years crime, drugs, etc. has taken its toll on city and it's lost some of its glamour. The beach is perfect for kids and safe for beginner swimmers. Perfect for water activities nice clear water, barely any waves. I brought my own chair and umbrella but couldn’t find anywhere to sit, the whole beach is taken by restaurants own umbrellas and chairs so we ended up paying $150 pesos for their chairs no bad and probably next time I won’t bring my own. I didn’t order food but is plenty options and vendors. Was very busy on Friday , we had a great time

I was told it was quiet but the day we went it was super busy. But that did not detract from the calm waves and docile nature of the water. Even only ankle deep the fish swim right up to you, when you swim closer to the rocks there are more types of fish. Locally speaking there are dozens of stores on the way there and 3 cantina's right there on the beach. Parking was 50mxn for the entire day.

Campamento Tortuguero "Playa Hermosa" is an animal conservation organization in Acapulco that works tirelessly to protect three different species of turtles. They embark on nightly beach patrols, searching for mother turtles laying their eggs and carefully relocating the nests to their protection camp. Once the eggs hatch, they assist the baby turtles in reaching the ocean safely.
If you consider yourself an eco-tourist, this is a great way to learn about sea turtles and get to see them up close and personal as the newly hatched babies make their way to the sea. The work they are doing is amazing and the staff is passionately knowledgeable. I visited as a surprise for my 50th birthday and it was life changing.

Three turttles especies that come to the coast of Acapulco to laid their eggs. You will learn about the tireless work of walking long hours along the beach at night searching for mother turtles laying their eggs, bring the whole nest to the protection camp and planted the nest at the patio of the house, wait for the eggs to hatch and live the experience of helping a baby turttle reach the ocean. Then, We are going to go to Barra Vieja Lagoon to do a wonderful lagoon tour. We are going to sail through beautiful mangroves, see many different kind of birds go to a lily flower sanctuary and get the clay mask that cleans the impurities of your skin.
