La Quebrada, which means "ravine" in Spanish, is a famous spot in Acapulco where professional divers have been performing breathtaking cliff-diving shows since 1934. The divers leap from ledges at heights of 12 and 24 meters into the narrow inlet walled by vertiginous cliffs. They perform daily shows at specific times, showcasing their acrobatic skills to crowds of tourists and locals.
Our tour from the cruise ship brought us to several stops, among them an opportunity to see the world famous cliff divers. I am given to understand it is almost a family business. When I was there, the 13 year old daughter was preparing for her first year as part of the diving team. What I didn't expect was that the divers jump in the water across from the diving point and first scale the cliff to the jump off point. They judge their timings based on the nearby wind flag, and the waves hitting the rocks a short way off shore so as to have the water at its peak when they hit the water, some 130 feet below. Before jumping, each has an opportunity to visit a shrine near the jumping point.

Went for the 1 pm show. It was a great show. 100 pesos per person to get in, gate opens 30 minutes before the dive.
Mike M — Google review
it was a magical 3 months of life in Mexico and I especially liked and was impressed by Acapulco) the guys jumping off the cliff are both inspiring and very exciting.... courage on the verge of madness
Yeva A — Google review
A must see! We paid the $5 dollar fee to see the show and it is so amazing to see up close. After the show we had lunch at historic El Mirador hotel. Very safe and people were super friendly
Rene L — Google review
The iconic cliff diving experience, dinner, and show. The weather was warm.
Jim G — Google review
Wonderful experience, especially for my wife for her first time
Daniel M — Google review
Over a month stay in Acapulco, enjoyed watching the show from multiple vantage points and different times during the day... you can have a nice drink and superb view from the Hotel Mirador but it is also fun to go in the evenings down on the platforms and enjoy the energy of the crowds that form. The rock formations are stunningly beautiful and it is amazing to learn the history and tradition of the divers. I found a really great somewhat hidden little restaurant nearby that served the best tacos and micheladas -- especially after I kept returning. I tell everyone going to Acapulco that you haven't really been unless you've seen the Clavadistas.
Beyond G — Google review
This is a work out to get to. Take a hat, umbrella, a back pack for your "ice" cold water!!!! They sell drinks, but i recommend you take your own. Bc you will be desperate for water!!! It's a nice experience & my respects 🙏 🫡 to the divers.

Nestled in the heart of Acapulco, the Acapulco Historical Museum of Fort San Diego is a remarkable 17th-century pentagonal fortress that stands as a testament to the city's rich history. Originally constructed in 1616 to defend against pirate invasions targeting valuable trade ships returning from Asia, this impressive structure was remodeled in 1776 and now houses 13 exhibition halls dedicated to military history.
This historic fort, now a museum, is right next to the cruise ship terminal so its easy to visit this star shaped fort (with a moat and portcullis). It is full of cannon, excavations showing original foundations, and cultural exhibits representing both Spanish and Japanese early travelers and influences on the Mexican culture. You can also see Mayan artefacts, armor for horses, and knights, ancient sea chests, and of course you can wander the battlements and sight along the cannon barrels out into the city or bay.
Graham T — Google review
The exhibits are excellently presented and informative. Google Translate helped immensely as my Spanish is limited. Great history here.
Jim G — Google review
Located atop a historic fortress overlooking Acapulco Bay, the San Diego Fort Museum offers a fascinating experience. It’s spacious, well-maintained, and features impressively realistic models that vividly illustrate important episodes from the port’s history. The museum’s galleries are neat and thoughtfully arranged, making the visit comfortable and enjoyable for all audiences. From the halls and terraces, you can admire breathtaking views of the sea—perfect for photos or simply soaking in the scenery. Free parking makes it easy to access, without any hassle. Whether you're looking to dive into local history or enjoy a culturally rich and scenic experience in Acapulco, this museum is a top choice.
Efrain C — Google review
I read a review that said the museum was in awful condition. The review failed to mention that it was a few months after the massive storm that destroyed Acapulco. Please ignore this review, your museum is up and running. We went today, museum is an excellent condition with interesting artefacts from Asia and Mexico. The models of the galleons that did the Manila Acapulco run are fascinating. I would recommend an hour or two for this museum.
Sheridan G — Google review
Recently remodelled, it shows the history and culture of the bay. It has a collection of maritime images and artifacts. Acapulco is not only a party and beach destination, it has a rich heritage and history.
René S — Google review
Loved the fort and the museum. Google translate was my friend as all the displays are in Spanish.
Mike M — Google review
Outstanding view of the city. And the exhibits are superb: specially the one about AFRO-DESCENDENDANTS by Programmer and child prodigy, Juan Manuel G. LOPEZ
Marco T — Google review
A great place in Acapulco! Few people know it’s the most historical place in this area. This historic museum has a beautiful art collection and expositions. We hope they reopen again soon. The architectural particular style makes it unique also. It is like a star structure. And also from here you have a lovely view of the bay. ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Capilla de la Paz, also known as the Chapel of Peace, is a striking modern structure with pyramid-style architecture and a massive stone cross standing over 131 feet tall. This clifftop chapel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Acapulco Bay and serves as an open-air sanctuary. Visitors can admire the iconic forty-meter-high Cross and the Hands of the Brotherhood sculpture by Claudio Favier.
What a cool, peaceful place in the mountain. The view of the sea and the bay are wonderful. Free to enter, but you can leave a donation. Note, this is in a secure, private neighborhood; so you need to go through security. Only open until 6pm. The parking area is on the street. You will need to walk up a steep hill about 80 meters in length to get to the chapel grounds.
Rick T — Google review
La Capilla de la Paz is truly one of Acapulco’s hidden gems. Perched high on the hilltop of Las Brisas, the chapel offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the bay and surrounding mountains. The moment you arrive, there’s a profound sense of calm. The architecture is striking — modern yet spiritual — with a massive white cross that stands over 40 meters tall, visible from much of the city. The bronze sculpture of praying hands near the entrance is powerful and symbolic. Inside, the open-air chapel is simple but deeply moving, filled with natural light and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. We were greeted by the serene sound of birds and the rustling of palm trees, and even though it was a warm afternoon, the cool mountain breeze made it perfect. It’s not just a religious site — it’s a peaceful place to reflect, take in the view, and feel connected to something bigger. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Acapulco, whether you’re spiritual or simply looking for tranquility and beauty.
Marc P — Google review
Very high on a mountain, we passed several of what can only be termed mansions or luxury homes on our long coach ride up. Our guide suggested several Hollywood stars owned some of the houses, all of them with infinity pools hanging off the cliffside. At the top stands a quite modern chapel (possibly ultramodern in design) and several monuments, one for the Las Manos de la Hermandad (Builders). Tombs are present for prominent / wealthy families. Views from all sides are spectacular. In more rural areas, there is more honor to a family to be buried higher on a hill, and there is no higher hill than this in Acapulco. One one side I could see down along the entire bay of Acapulco and its waterfront.
Graham T — Google review
This chapel is located on a peak of one the highest hills serounding Acapulco. This is a beautiful place with great views of Acapulco's bay. The atmosphere is very quiet and placid. I highly recomnend visiting this place. Be aware that the chapel and the vista points aren't wheelchair accessible.
Lavi S — Google review
Beautiful overview. Place is empty and not much to do there besides to take a few pictures. May take 15-20 min in total.
St. I — Google review
A very beautiful and peaceful place.
Annabell C — Google review
The views are amazing. No picture gives the chapel any justice. While we were there the chapel was preparing for a wedding. Oir guide said the chapel is very popular for weddings and events.

Alondra G — Google review
We stayed for a month at the diamond Beach club, every evening we would come to swim and see sunset, absolutely beautiful. The problem being 2 of my sons and my wife refused to go into the water because there would be brown like rust covering the water at times. My other son and me, didn't care we jumped in the waves had fun all the time. However the contractors rebuilding the hotels told us there are many boats that sank in the sea from the hurricane, and there giving off a lot of bad substances from degrading. When we arrive back to the states my son who was in the sea was sick they tested his blood and he had huge levels of lead in his system, guess what so did I. My wife and The other 2 boys didn't have any at all, their levels normal. So my advice enjoy the pools, enjoy the sunset at the beach but don't go in the water at the moment, it's to risky, they need to do something about the boats that are sank and leaking battery acid and metal.

I liked it, but didn't love it. It was pretty dirty 😢

Sand and sea - the seelevel sinking very gently but the currents can be tough though. Many services offered by locals, drinks food massage horses but I dont like the noisy, smelly buggy carts racing around in front of you. Dont forget your sun-lotion!

(Translated by Google) Incredible waves, warm sea without too many people, the sand sticks a little but it doesn't matter, the sun and the sunset are the best, you can rent ATVs and horses to better appreciate the sunset, there are several public entrances and they rent palapas for 200 pesos. The last time we went, the palapas were already 500 pesos for the whole day, they are worth it and you already have your things, however, we had a swell and if the beach has already been swallowed up by the swell, there is almost no room left. If the waves are coming towards the palapa, so be prepared to grab your things. Condesa Beach is a bustling and popular beach located in the tourist area of Acapulco Dorado, Guerrero, Mexico. It's known for its lively atmosphere and is situated along Avenida Costera Miguel Aleman. Visitors are advised to wear sunscreen, be cautious of rough waves while swimming or surfing, and keep an eye on their belongings. While some have found it crowded but enjoyable, others have mentioned that it can get very busy.

El Rollo Acapulco is a renowned amusement park and waterpark that offers an array of exciting activities for visitors of all ages. From thrilling water slides to swimming pools and dolphin shows, this destination promises a day filled with fun and adventure. Families can enjoy racing down slides, experiencing the wave pool, engaging in water battles, and even attending captivating dolphin shows. The park also features attractions like the Skycoaster for adrenaline seekers.
Had a great day here... it was very cheap to swim with the dolphins so I would recommend if you are here to do that. Good drinks and a great place to relax and enjoy the dolphin shows. Good rides that need to be updated and maintained a bit better. Would return.

Needs a lot of maintenance. Dolphin show was very fun! Wouldn’t eat the food. You have access to the beach with your ticket! My favorite spot of the beach club pool.

Place needs alot of work.. complete remodeling. Or overhaul.. first time there .. also not all toboggans . We're operable... You can go inside the pools. And can see rust on the structure inside the water and concrete coming off.. also food is not good. At all it's Mexico.. it should be fresh.. meaning hamburger and churros are mostly frozen items. Their bar is also. Low on items. Bathrooms on rear are awful. Customer service . It's not that good either..
Jaime R — Google review
I went to this attraction on 6 Aug 2022. The advertisement both on the website and social media are lies. From all the water rides only two rides were operational. The park still charged the same price and people aren’t made aware of the disfunction of the rides prior to paying. The pools are definitely not clean and you can tell from the the trash at the bottom of the pool. I think if people are aware of the park having only two rides and letting them decide if to spend the money or not it would be more respectable. However, the dolphin show was beautiful, the people and staff were all super helpful and amazing. My family definitely enjoyed the show as well as the private show. Staff were kind and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Respectfully. Tito IG (tito____1535)

Rachel P — Google review
This was our second time coming here. The place is great. School doesn’t let out here until July so if you decided to come during this time, bring food and drinks they will let you. But if you come during July or August they have plenty of drink and food options to choose from. If you ever want to swim with dolphins, this is definitely the place to go!! It was amazing and we loved our experience!!
Nora O — Google review
The place is too small there are only two swimming pools and some attractions are closed, however there's a dolphin show which is worth a try.
Luis M — Google review
When we went on a Wednesday morning, there were only two slides open. Also, I was rather scared that one of them might break down, as many parts of the stairs were rusted through and needed maintenance. I imagine it was fantastic in the 90s, but now it looks rundown.

Parque Papagayo, located along the bustling Avenida Costera Miguel Aleman in Acapulco, serves as a vibrant green oasis amidst the urban landscape. Spanning 22 hectares, this park features three picturesque artificial lakes surrounded by lush tropical flora and is home to various exotic animals. Known also as Parque Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, it’s a favorite spot for families and young visitors alike.
This was an amazing park to go to before hurricane Otis. I loved the animals that you could see in the park, such as, iguanas, turtles, ducks, monkeys and much more. There was a pool for children to swim in as well and a nice little train for guest to ride on throughout the park too. I hope it's rebuilt soon for future tourists to see.

The beach has rocks everywhere but a very friendly guy was cleaning that specific part of the beach for his clients, didn't ask for his name but his dogs name is polar, we rented the chairs from the guy next to him for 200 pesos. We came here on a weekday so it was pretty peaceful.

I like this small beach. The water is calm and warm, and stores are close. Be careful to eat the street food; it's usually ok early in the day, but risky in the late afternoon.

Beach
Playa Puerto Marqués is a smaller, more peaceful beach compared to the main one in Acapulco. The view is breathtaking and it's a great spot to relax until sunset. The water is clean and calm, making it ideal for swimming, especially for families with children. However, visitors should be prepared for local vendors who may overprice their goods. Despite this, activities like banana rides and jet skiing come highly recommended at this picturesque beach.
Pretty clean water, really nice beach to stay until sunset, in vacation ist pretty crowded but still pretty good
Bruno R — Google review
The people are friendly, honest and very hard-working. There are so many roving vendors, you really can't get a break. Me and my partner were even forcibly massaged on the beach. She did a great job, but I literally told her no about 35 times, no exaggeration. I felt great afterwards, so I really don't know how to feel about it. There is a few spots around the restaurants with sewage seeping into the streets. I say do not eat down in the village. If you do, you brave soul, remember the rules: only bottled beverages and well-cooked foods! Wish I had pictures to share, but I get too wrapped up in having the experience than documenting it. Check out the street view on Google maps. It's like that.

The beach is great the view is amazing beyond words, but the people there try to sell you things and overprice you ESPECIALLY of you are a tourist luckily I have family over there and they didn't get away with it !!!!! Would really recommend the bananna ride + jet ski

Aum V — Google review
The restaurant we ate at during our stay on the beach was expensive for the quality of food and drinks provided. Also, when we left there was a car parked behind us and no one could find the keys for the car. Once the truck next to me departed, I slowly maneuvered back and forth until I was able to exit ... and then three "parking lot attendants" asked for a tip! WHAT? They didnt even help me get out of the situation ): The beach was nice though.
Beckett P — Google review
Plan on being harassed for both parking and eating. Some were actually blocking the road. To Make things worse, one-way street in and one-way street out. We were hungry and would have liked to support the town but Felt uncomfortable enough to leave.
James D — Google review
It's a smaller beach than the main one on Acapulco. Seems more chill and peaceful here if you like to get away form the larger beach and the hustle.

Well worth the cost of a cab ride for the peace and quiet. As with most of Mexican beach front areas...the mall comes to you! Changing the name of the country to "Se Vende", would seem reasonable...lol. Pretty clean beach. Owners of the particular "slice" of the beach, do a great job of supplying food and beverages. Locally sourced fish is very good. Snorkeling opportunities along the rocks at the extreme end of the roped off areas. Ray's, stripers, groupers, gar, trigger fish and occasionally neons.

Tons of fun but absolutely terrifying if your scared of heights. They have two separate shuttles from their main office, one that takes the riders to the top and one that takes the riders guests to the bottom. The whole experience takes an hour or two but the actual zipline goes by really quick. Overall a great experience i would recommend to any thrill seeker! My only complaint is the price of the photos and videos, waaay to expensive but unfortunately worth it just to post online.
Liam P — Google review
The zipline was amazing and 100% safe. Our group all had a great time while on the attractions. The staff was competent and was thorough with all the safety protocols. The only issues we experienced were with the enrollment process and the wait for the shuttles. We came a day early to purchase our packages. They made each one of our group fill out the forms. The next day when we came back they made us all do the same forms again. It was a waste of time and paper. We also had to wait an hour for the shuttle at both ends of our trip. Other than that the experience was amazing.
Charles M — Google review
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WITH A FEAR OF HEIGHTS! I was super excited about the zipline and not nervous since I had gone a few times before in other countries. When I took off, I was ahead of my 2 friends. I noticed them pass me. Then, the distance between them and me started to increase as I slowed down and came to a complete halt half way through the zipline dangling over the sea in superman position. It took them ~15-20 minutes to come out to me. They were having trouble locating me because of how far along the line I was. In that time of waiting, I dangled in superman position wondering if anyone would get me. My arms were falling asleep. I wasn't wearing a life jacket if I fell into the water. Finally, 2 guys came out to get me and harnessed me to them and manually pulled me on to shore with 2 others pulling on shore. It was definitely a life-changing experience because the possibility of facing death seemed very real. We saw at least 2 other people get stuck closer to the end. If you fly across, it's a great experience. If you don't, hope it's not as bad as mine!

There are more than 500 large stone steps to the top, and, obviously, 500 more coming down. The petroglyphs are not worth the effort, or risk of heat stroke. However, the incredible view from the top is a huge reward. If you do this take plenty of water, or do it very early in the day.

(Translated by Google) The Acapulco urbanization is a few meters from the area. In the parking lot leading to the services building there is everything from abandoned vehicles to a pile of garbage that has surely been there for quite some time. When going up in your own vehicle, the inclination of certain streets is imposing and in general the road is super bumpy because it is narrow and two-way. Also consider that you will find public transport buses going up and down that same route so in certain sections it is alternate passage. If you do not have your own vehicle, you can arrive by this means of transportation or a taxi. Agree on the price upon boarding to avoid surprises. It is not easy to catch another taxi to get off, so you can negotiate the trip there, wait and return. Visiting hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last entry is at 3:00 p.m. free entry. The services building is extremely basic. You will record your visit in a log book. Jesus (who controls entrances and exits) will give you a brief explanation of how to visit the site and what you will see. He is a very kind person. I definitely recommend arriving before the sun beats down and avoiding the hottest hour, but if your activities do not allow another time, don't miss it. It is more or less a kilometer of climbing to see a total of 18 well-preserved petroglyphs in an enclosure surrounded by its perimeter. You will begin the ascent and find breaks or small squares where you can take a breather and admire the impressive panoramic view of the Bay of Santa Lucía. It is worth reaching the last, largest and most complete petroglyph, which is number 1. Bring water, do not venture up without a hat and sun protection even if it is cloudy as the tropical heat can be felt during the ascent. On a quiet visit, reading all the information sheets in Spanish and English, you will take a nice walk of approximately 1 hour and a half. Very pleasant environment and in the middle of nature. Not recommended for people with mobility problems or respiratory problems.

Playa Papagayo is a stunning and tranquil beach that offers a perfect getaway for families. Nestled along the Miguel Aleman coast, right across from Papagayo Park, this popular spot features gentle waves ideal for swimming. While you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings, be mindful of rental fees for chairs and umbrellas, which can be on the pricier side. However, there are nearby supermarkets where you can stock up on snacks and drinks to keep costs down.

(Translated by Google) It is beautiful, the water is calm, there are not many waves, but I consider that the food prices are exaggeratedly high, even to enter the bathroom they charge 20 pesos, the cost seems exaggerated to me for what it is. But if you bring your food, your drink and even your own umbrella, I have no doubt that you will have a pleasant afternoon. Ahhhhh and preferably arrive early because from 9 o'clock you can no longer find a parking space and then they make a double line and if you leave early, you will surely find the way blocked for your car to leave, so you have to consider it.

Blue Water Sport Fishing Acapulco offers an exhilarating experience for fishing enthusiasts looking to cast their lines in the vibrant waters of the Pacific. This destination is renowned for its rich marine life, where anglers can target prized catches such as Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, and Dorado among others. With a plethora of experienced providers at your service, you’ll embark on comfortable and safe vessels that navigate to prime fishing spots teeming with diverse species.
I’ve fished all around the world and this is one of my best fishing trips I’ve ever been on. Blue water has two boats and two captains. I had the privilege of going with Jesus who is in his late 60s, speaks great English, is super funny, and fishes hard. He could probably retire at this point but truly loves what he does and you can see it in his work. He’s a great and grateful host but also simply a great captain that will put you on fish. We went 2 for 5 on sailfish. The weights were about 90 and 120 respectively. Very highly recommend.

1st class outfit. Went out this past week and had a great time. Right off the bat they had us bringing in Bait by hand and reel. For someone who is bringing the family and serious fisherman. It was a great plus. You don’t get that everywhere. Bonita by by hand and reel was an awesome plus. Action didn’t stop there. Hr into it and we landed a this awesome fish. On top of all that. We saw other sails dancing all around along with turtles, dolphins, and rays jumping all over. All in all it was a great experience with a great crew. Definitely recommend them.

Highly recommended! We have used them several times now and have always been successful. Captain Jesus speaks excellent English and has an amazing sense of humour...not to mention his fishing skills!!! The boat is spacious, very clean and has a good washroom for the girls. He is always a pleasure to fish with and they work hard to catch fish. He has a customer for life with us!

One of the best deep sea fishing experiences in a long time. Catching the 8 foot sword fish was a bonus. Not me personally but my friends Wayne, Sherry and David. However I did catch one of the bait fish. There were 8 of us. It took three to bring this 120 pound beauty in. Couldn’t release due to the hook penetration but we all are sharing it with friends and the crew. The crew were professional and meticulous. Helpful with my 97 years young Dad who had his first deep sea fishing experience. Will be doing it again with the Aventura and her fabulous crew. Thank you from us all!! Jack, Peggy (Marguarita), Laurie, David, Michele, Maryann, Sherry and Wayne.

My second year chartering the Aventura and it was great. Captain Chuey and the crew are excellent. Besides catching Big Sailfish we also saw Humback Whales, Dolphins and a Sea Turtle. I highly recommend it. They also speak English. Good job guys. Thank You.

季亚军 — Google review
(Translated by Google) It's seriously deteriorated, in "EVERYTHING." 1. Their slots now offer almost no chance of winning anything. In fact, they're barely entertaining because they consume credit (balance) in seconds or just a few minutes. They rarely exploit bonuses, and when they do, you don't even recover your investment. Few chances of winning. 2. The credit reload service is very slow because their employees chat a lot and don't walk around the slot machine room (people have to shout for them to come). 3. Waiter service is exclusive to whoever is winning at the time, and it's logical to think they expect a good tip; they're within their rights, but those of us who rarely win deserve the attention too. 4. Their food menu needs to be updated. I've been visiting them for 10 years, and they've been selling the same things ever since. I rarely eat there anymore; sometimes they have to change things up. 5.- This casino doesn't have a non-smoking area, and those of us who don't smoke have to wear a face mask or endure the strong smell of tobacco. Attention, what's going on there? Don't believe me, but I suggest the owners or top management of this place conduct a visit to the deck to detect these and other anomalies that can be resolved and provide better service. Do it, and you'll realize that better service can be provided to the recreation of the people who come here to have fun.
