Island
Sark is a charming island that stands out for its car-free policy, offering visitors the chance to explore its picturesque landscapes on foot or by bike. The island boasts unspoiled natural beauty, featuring cliffs, bays, and caves to discover. Families can enjoy leisurely rides on the family-friendly cycle paths and take horse-and-carriage tours around the island. Accessible by passenger ferry from Guernsey, Sark also offers guided tours for those interested in exploring nearby Herm Island.
A beautiful little island that's well worth a visit! You can easily explore most of it in a day so you can take the morning ferry in and the last ferry back to Guernsey!
Raphael N — Google review
People are very friendly there. Little Sark and the North are good for walking. Main roads are dusty; dust kicked up by tractors and carriages. No Lamborghini tractors to be found. Drinking water, emanating from wells is excellent.
David F — Google review
Had a great day on Sark - very lucky with the weather as it was glorious. Make sure you get ferry tickets in advance. We hired a couple of electric bikes and toured the island - a perfect way for covering the island in the time available, between arriving and the return ferry. Some nice cafés and a couple of pubs for refreshments and sustenance. However, it will be a bleak and inhospitable place in winter, unless you're an intrepid adventurer - though if the weather/sea state is bad, the ferries won't be running...
Keith W — Google review
Bigger than Herms but still as beautiful we made our way over the bridge built by prisoners of war to little sark where the silver mines are lovely walk
Keith R — Google review
Serene and scenic views. To fully experience it, get a bike and cycle around. A good place to take a mental break and experience nature.
Powell O — Google review
A must visit if you are in BCI.
Daniyal R — Google review
A must visit when in the Channel Islands. You can sail here or take the boat over from Guernsey. Once on the island there is plenty to do including walking, swimming and hiring bikes. It is quiet and perfect for families and couples. Make sure you pack your camera too and take lots of photos. The geography is stunning.
Jonathan L — Google review
We had a very enjoyable ferry ride to the island from Guernsey which took roughly an hour. Sark is a haven for it's silence as no motor vehicles are allowed on it except for tractors and horse drawn carts. The tourist welcoming guides were exceptionally good and made everything clear. From the small harbour we were conveyed up to the village by a tractor pulling a trailer with seats on it. Then we had a horse drawn cart which took us to La Seigneurie a feudal manor house with a garden. A very interesting trip.

Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, is a self-governing dependency of the UK with a blend of British and French influences. It's renowned for its picturesque beaches, scenic cliffside trails, charming inland valleys, and historic castles. The Jersey War Tunnels offer insight into the island's WWII history during its German occupation.

Scenic Railroads
Guernsey, an island in the English Channel, is known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. Visitors can explore Castle Cornet and old military fortifications while enjoying popular beaches like LEree and Portelet. Families can visit attractions such as Hauteville House, once home to Victor Hugo, and Saumarez Manor with its sub-tropical garden. The island's unique culture and history make it a popular destination for artists, writers, and filmmakers.
This small island packs one hell of a punch! It’s hard to know where to start. The most obvious place to start I suppose is the coastline, here we have something for everyone. Guernsey boasts beaches for all activities, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing and of course, sunbathing! There is no shortage in choice of beach either, with 27 to choose from, you’re spoiled for choice! You’ll never have to fight for a good spot on Guernsey’s beaches, so you’ll always have space for a game of beach rounders or cricket if that floats your boat. Many of Guernsey’s beaches are dog friendly too. However, if white sandy beaches aren’t your thing, don’t worry, Guernsey has you covered, the southern coastline has “pebbley” coves and sheltered bays as well as dramatic cliff walks giving views out across the water to Jersey and France. There are endless places to go rock-pooling to get up close to the multitude of local crabs and fish that get trapped between the tides. The beaches are clean and the water crystal-clear, the locals take much pride in their lovely seaside playground, so make sure you do too. You won’t be disappointed with a trip to Guernsey’s many idyllic beaches. Perfect for families, couples and solo adventurers. It’s not always warm, but it’s always beautiful. Be safe & enjoy.

One of if not my favourite place on this earth, unfortunately its not that easy to get to if you don't like flying. Guernsey is a beautiful island with so much to see. I made my first visit in 1971 and the last time was 2013.

A beautiful island with so much to offer. Great food, beautiful beaches and a wealth of history both ancient and modern. A really relaxing place to stay. Everything moves at a much slower pace, ( max speed limit being 35mph).

Visited long ago but am now watching Enemy at the Door TV series about occupation in WW II. Fascinating - not an easy time for residents.

What a beautiful place Guernsey is.!!! This place captivates you with its charm. I must of returned to this fabulous place 20 times over the years. The friendliness of the the locals is second to none along with excellent places to rest your head. There are so many fantastic restaurants in which you can gorge yourself silly if you fancy a change from your hotel food. Local seafood being one of the best options. Lovely beaches and cliff walks, hidden coves and beautiful wild flowers make this a painters paradise, the light lends itself perfectly. I cannot wait until my next visit.!!!
John B — Google review
A beautiful island with friendly people, a slow pace of life and an air of peace. Jerbourg and Icart are special places, looking out to sea and losing yourself in the space. St Peter Port is lovely, boat to Herm was special. La Barbarie hotel was superb and I recommend it to all visitors. Going back soon.
Stephen M — Google review
Only there for the weekend but saw the entire coastline during our 51 mile hike. It was beautiful! Not much at all happening outside the capital but if you like gun placements and forts, there's plenty to be seen. The cliff path along the south coast is challenging but well worth it.

Island
Herm is the smallest of the Channel Islands, covering just 1 square mile. It offers a 5-hour tour that includes visits to Manor Village, Herm School, and St. Tuguals Chapel. Le Fregate in St. Peter Port provides accommodation with balconies offering views of Herm and Sark. The island is perfect for bird-watching, leisurely walks, and water sports.
The Beer Festival of Herm Island is a vibrant and highly anticipated event that draws beer enthusiasts and visitors from across the Channel Islands and beyond. Held annually on the picturesque Herm Island, the festival offers a unique and relaxed way to enjoy local brews, stunning scenery, and the island's laid-back atmosphere. Set against the backdrop of Herm’s breathtaking beaches and rolling hills, the festival takes place at the island’s main venue, often the White House Hotel, which becomes the lively center of the event. With over 40 different beers on offer, the festival showcases an impressive selection of local craft beers from Guernsey and other nearby islands, as well as international brews. This wide variety ensures there’s something for every taste, from light lagers to rich stouts and fruity ales. Many of the beers are produced by local breweries, giving visitors the chance to sample the best of Guernsey’s growing craft beer scene. In addition to the excellent beers, the festival also features delicious food stalls, live music, and a fun, friendly atmosphere. Whether you're enjoying a pint while lounging on the grass or dancing to live tunes, the festival provides a wonderful sense of community and celebration. The event is family-friendly, with activities for children and opportunities to explore the island’s natural beauty. The Beer Festival of Herm Island is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys good beer and great company. Its combination of fantastic local brews, scenic surroundings, and fun-filled activities makes it a memorable experience for all.

The most beautiful island I've been to. Lovely beaches, two with cafés and one of those selling a selection of alcoholic beverages. The Mermaid Tavern and The Ship both serve great food and have an amazing atmosphere. All staff across the island were fantastic!

We walked all the way round this beautiful little island so peaceful and no cars, truly lovely

It is like being on a private island....a very special place to visit. My personal favourite is Shell Beach. This is a must to visit if going to Guernsey. You can also hire kayaks from the beach which is a great way to see the coast.
Lou S — Google review
Although the ferry may seem crowded as soon as you land people go in different directions and it's not hard to find a tranquil spot. The walk around the island is very nice and on a good footpath.

Love the experience been in Herm Beautiful island Quite place Wonderful day ♥️♥️

Absolutely beautiful little Island. Small enough to walk around it in a couple of hours. Shell beach on Herm is a must see, especially when the weather is nice.

An absolute must do trip. Super easy and short trip on the ferry. We went on a sunny day and She'll Beach was akin to the Caribbean, but with a fraction of the people!

My wife and l have just returned from our latest vist to The Atlantic.. We had glorious weather and your excellent staff made it a perfect holiday with a warm welcome as soon as we stepped into the entrance. Nathan must be the best hotel concierge in the world. His warm personality and extensive knowledge of jersey is a big boost to the holiday experience. The restaurant staff waited at our tables and with smiles and kindness all the way.. Reception staff are brilliant, along with cleaners and gardeners. We can't wait to return to the wonderful Atlantic .

What a great surprise ! Nicest welcome from reception team. Great service throughout. Incredible views ! Great breakfast - loved that it was a la cart for hot items and continental as buffet (just change the tables to face outwards to the view to enhance the experience). Overall a great stay and will be back. Indoor pool could have some extra seating but the outside pool is just stunning !

My husband and I have just returned from our first (but definitely not our last) stay in Jersey and at The Atlantic. We were fortunate with the weather, and the outstanding team at the hotel made it a truly perfect short break en route to our extended holiday in France. From the moment we stepped through the entrance, we received a warm and genuine welcome. A special mention must go to Nathan – quite simply the best concierge we’ve ever met. His warm personality and extensive knowledge of Jersey really enhanced our holiday experience. The restaurant staff were equally impressive, serving us with smiles, kindness, and attention throughout. We also treated ourselves to a wonderful massage with the talented Dawn, who managed to ease away months of stress in one session. The reception team were exceptionally helpful, as were the housekeeping, bar, and restaurant staff—in fact, every single staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, and clearly happy in their role. We can’t wait to return to the wonderful Atlantic in the near future.
Millie M — Google review
Everything about this hotel was perfect! The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the view was stunning. It's the staff at the Atlantic that really make it a wonderful place to stay. Everyone, without exception that we came across were friendly and helpful but remained professional. Breakfast is also very good, lots of choice and freshly cooked to order. We had dinner one evening and the food was exceptional as was the wine.
Karen F — Google review
What a fantastic place. The service is personal, friendly and they can't do enough for you. My room overlooked the golf course and was perfect, clean, tidy, well sticked, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was amazing, well worth getting up for and the restaurant overlooks the beach with a fantastic view out to sea. Mightily impressed and looking to book a family holiday there as I was there on business. Highly recommended.
Stephen C — Google review
Just come home from a gorgeous stay here, cant fault the place, the staff every single one of them are a credit to the hotel, only thing i would say is its very expensive to eat there, Jersey is expensive as a whole but 2 burgers and 1 drink in our room for £80 is a tad bit expensive but overall a very relaxing stay. Cant wait to go again😊

🌟 A Truly Magical Stay at The Atlantic Hotel – A Birthday to Remember! 🌟 I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey, from 4th to 7th June 2025, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the most memorable and heartwarming experiences of my life. My 40th birthday fell on the 5th of June, and thanks to the phenomenal team at this hotel, it turned into a magical celebration that far exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Brenda at reception was an absolute gem—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She ensured that every aspect of our check-in was smooth, and her warm energy instantly made us feel at home. A special mention must go to Nathan at concierge, whose dedication and care were truly exceptional. Not only did he go above and beyond to assist us with local tips and arrangements, but he also played a key role in making my birthday unforgettable. The room was beautifully decorated in celebration—an incredibly thoughtful surprise that left me speechless. Akhil at the bar is a true artist in his craft. His iced coffees were hands down the best I’ve ever had—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. We found ourselves coming back every day just to experience that caffeine masterpiece again! And I must give heartfelt thanks to Eiena, who kindly helped with the candles for my birthday cake. It may seem like a small gesture, but it added a touch of magic and personal care that made all the difference. These are the moments that define true hospitality. The property itself is a serene haven overlooking the ocean, with breathtaking views, luxurious rooms, and that perfect blend of elegance and warmth. The attention to detail in every corner of the hotel—whether it’s the lush gardens, the peaceful pool area, or the beautifully plated meals—is truly world-class. As a vegetarian, I was delighted by the thoughtful dining options and the kitchen’s willingness to cater to our preferences. The half-board plan was well worth it, and every meal was a celebration of flavor and freshness. In a world where customer service often feels rushed or impersonal, The Atlantic Hotel stands out as a shining example of what true hospitality means. Each team member made us feel not just like guests, but like valued friends. Thank you, Brenda, Nathan, Akhil, and Eiena—you didn’t just host us; you created memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re visiting Jersey and want an experience that blends luxury with genuine warmth and care, look no further than The Atlantic Hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!)

Chateau la Chaire Hotel is a charmingly traditional boutique hotel located near Rozel Bay and Durrell's Jersey Zoo. The 19th-century manor house offers 14 classically decorated rooms with polished period-style furnishings, chandeliers, and some featuring grand four-poster beds and spa baths. The hotel boasts a superb fine-dining restaurant with AA Red Star and Rosette awards.
I had dinner in the formal wood-lined dining room last night, comprising a delicious lobster risotto followed by pavlova, washed down with a glass of the excellent house red. Possibly the best meal I've had in my month's stay on the island. I can highly recommend, not only for the food but the professionalism of the staff who presented everything beautifully and with perfect attention to detail.
Gibbru — Google review
We stayed 1 week here in July 24 - we travelled with 1 dog. We had booked superior room. The carpet was quite stained and old, and I realize that we get a dog room - but actually we pay extra for cleaning when bringing a dog. The room was not superior, the bath was in the bedroom and the actual bathroom was small. The fridge didnt work, and was not repaired during our stay - so the fresh Milk they offered for Coffee was sour every day. There were No comfort chairs in the room so the only place to sit and relax was in the bed. The breakfast was not something special. The Honesty Bar in the living room is a nice iniative, but maybe providing bottles that are not empty would help on the sale. Or refilling with ice cubes during the day so the wine would be cold in the afternoon. Unlike others we did not find the staff super, they just did their job and nothing else. The house and surroundings are very tired. Need of many loving hands to bring it back to life. The stay on Jersey was however still very lovely and we can recommend it to everyone looking for good hikes and beautiful nature
Camilla B — Google review
Me and my husband (50s) watched videos of Jersey on YouTube which did not do Jersey justice. On the bus to the hotel we were driving more and more into the outskirts but it was so worth it. The hotel was romantically arranged all over and surround by peaceful harmony. The hosts were so pleasant. Hop on a bus to and from the hotel, everything was so easy to manage. We would come back to Jersey and would only book this hotel again. The breakfast was a good variety. We went over to the pub next door for dinner, the food was outstanding. It was like a fairytale. Only 40 mins in the air and you see the beautiful island and the beaches were stunning. We loved our stay. The staff (Chloe and Stacey) were full of island information, just ask them anything.
Narinder T — Google review
Very dated. Dirty carpets. Rotten wooden doors to balconies and rotten bathroom windows. Poor menu choices and only one vegan option. Chef couldn't do any other options. No vegan butter for breakfast. Had emergency plumber interrupt stay and he couldn't fix bath taps.
Adrian W — Google review
The pictures on the website look slightly better than the reality as the hotel would benefit from some TLC and maintenance. Its still in a decent condition though and clean so that’s the main thing. The staff are amazing and will go an extra mile to support the customers. We had an issue with our room and were moved into another bigger room on the same day. Breakfast is very tasty and you have a lot to choose from. Its very quiet here so you get a decent sleep. The hotel is 30 mins from St Helier on a bus. They have a lovely pub here in Rozel, about 3 min walk from the hotel - you can order the food in. Our stay was special.
Dani S — Google review
Lovely old house with bags of character. In need of a bit of TLC in places. The bathroom was a bit tired and would have preferred a shower. Staff were very pleasant and Chloe in particular was outstanding at her job. Would definitely stay here again and hopefully the planned refurbishment works will be carried out.
John D — Google review
This is an old tired hotel. There were stains on the bedding and furniture in the room. On raising an issue re the sink being blocked the next morning the receptionist didn’t apologise and merely noted the room number. A real shame. Other issues included no vegetarian options in the evening and served cold cooked breakfast.

Alderney is a small island with beautiful beaches, scenic walks, and historical landmarks such as a classic lighthouse and centuries-old forts. Accessing the island can be a bit challenging, requiring a boat or a connecting flight from Guernsey. Once there, visitors can enjoy activities like cycling, canoeing over Roman ruins, wildlife watching, and exploring World War II remnants. The island's rugged cliffs, rolling hills, hidden coves offer stunning views for walkers.
A beautiful island with lovely people. Spent a week cycling, having picnics on the many beaches and exploring the amazing bunkers and WW2 history scattered over the island. All so well preserved. Lovely restaurants and coffee shops. Very relaxing time. Loved it.

Paradise. Just a short hop from Southampton I believe Alderney is so underrated. We were lucky with the weather in late August. The beaches were stunning (and empty). Everybody was so friendly. Great for WW2 history or anyone who enjoys walking in the countryside. Definitely a slower pace of life.

Great little island in the English channel. Not the easiest of them to get to but probably all the better for it. Great for a short walking holiday (you can walk the whole island in 2hours so might get bored if you stayed too long!. Beautiful beaches, sea views on every corner, friendly locals, loads of history - Victorian era and WW2 forts, shipwrecks etc, wildlife, interesting mix of Britain with a bit of French flavour. Worth a visit!
Alex P — Google review
Hugely underrated gem as the most northerly Channel Island. Escape from the grind and enjoy wonderful beaches, great walks, good food and a sense of remoteness (even if your can see the neighbouring island's on the horizon and Normandy just 9 miles to the east).

Nestled on the picturesque St Brelade's Bay in Jersey, St Brelade's Bay Hotel exudes coastal charm and tranquility. The hotel offers refined accommodations with stunning sea or garden views, some featuring balconies. Guests can indulge in beach access, an indoor pool, a spa, and a fitness center. The award-winning gardens house a synthetic grass tennis court and a heated swimming pool with a children's area.
Amazing hotel, with stunning views across the bay. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Great outdoor pool, and the hotel is also linked to a very well appointed gym and indoor pool. The food is good, although not out of this world, but the fish is fresh and cooked perfectly. This was one of the best holidays we've had in a while and we will return.

This hotel is hard to fault. The most amazing location with beautiful gardens, lovely pool area, poolside cafe and a beach to die for. There are cafes and restaurants just a short walk away but the hotel food was so good and well priced we dined every night in the hotel. Rooms are great, staff were great and the general feel about the place made us feel right at home.

There is no better hotel on Jersey for view and location ….but don’t tell anyone otherwise it will become too busy! Really loved our stay there. I even forgot my shirt and they found it for me and promised to return it! Staff are excellent. Also try the fish and chips. It’s the best I’ve had!

Absolutely faultless. The location is second to none. The service and amenities are top-notch. From a health suit including a gym, steam room, treatments & swimming pool, to outdoor pool & tennis courts, and our sea view room was just amazing. Would I come back again or recommend it, most definitely!
Dean O — Google review
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stephen (the head porter), our bags were taken from us and we were offered a chilled glass of orange juice whilst we were checked in. We made our way up to our room (86 - sea view balcony) and our bags were only a minute or two behind us. Our room was just large enough, the king-sized bed was really comfortable, the bathroom was fab, and the balcony had the best view of St Brelade's bay just over the road. We walked on the beach and then swam in the sea or outdoor pool every morning, the pool opened at 8:00 and had towels and adjoining changing facilities. The gym/indoor pool opened at 6:00, and whilst it was all fab we preferred being outdoors. Breakfast was spot on, we had a great self-service choice and could also order from a good selection - I ordered omelettes and vegetarian sausages most mornings. The waiting staff were among the most professional I've ever met (Hilary was our favourite - he was always smiling) and our greeter Leo was just the nicest chap ever (he's worked there for sixty years...). We only ate dinner in the hotel once, as there is a great selection of restaurants within easy walking distance, and it was excellent - but a couple of vegan, and a few more vegetarian dishes, would be a great addition. As with most top hotels it's the amazing staff that make it such a great place (nothing was too much trouble for them and it was obvious that they all love what they do), along with the top location obviously. The service is professional, whilst the whole place has such a relaxed atmosphere - no need to wear long trousers and a tie for dining if you don't want to. It appears that most of the guests are regulars and I can fully understand why, we are already considering a return trip.

Just back from the most glorious few days away at the beautiful St Brelades Bay Hotel. The hotel for us was faultless, from the location, to our room, to breakfast, to the beautiful swimming pool. It was all fantastic. A special mention must be given to all of the staff who go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay. We will be returning. Thank you again ⭐

First visit to Jersey from the UK and we're celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Had booked here as it looked ideal for what we were after. We stayed for 4 nights. The location was absolutely stunning with beautiful views over the bay as we had booked a sea view balcony room. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Really enjoyed the breakfast with loads of lovely fresh fruit. The only negative was that it would have been nice to have a few more vegan options, maybe sausages, a yogurt and an alternate butter and have the soya milk out on display other than that spot on. Everywhere was clean and our room was left spotless everyday. Slept really well and lovely to hear the sea. Floors a bit creaky but as an older building you expect that but felt conscious not wanting to annoy people staying below us. The pool was wonderful and steam room. Should have come more prepared with shorts etc to take advantage of the gym and tennis courts. All in all was a great stay and went beyond our expectations. Already planning on wanting to come back and would not hesitate recommending as a place to stay. Thank you so much for making our 4 nights amazing. Luke and Heidi

We booked this for a very special treat as it was our 30th wedding anniversary, it looked wonderful on the website and at £414 per night B&B, you'd have thought it was. We had a sea view room with a balcony. The interior decor and the bathroom, especially, failed to please. We spoke to reception, who organised an upgrade and gave us a bottle of champagne. The upgraded room was better. The staff were really nice, Hilary especially, he's a star and really made our anniversary special. Where the hotel is situated is stunning, but we believe for the money we could have had better. The outdoor pool is lovely, heated as well, the gardens are very well maintained, but the outside bar doesn't open until June.

The Club Hotel & Spa is a trendy property located in St Helier, Jersey's capital. It features stylish accommodations and a rooftop bar, along with multiple pools and a highly regarded restaurant. The Michelin-starred Bohemia restaurant offers theatrical tasting menus in an art deco setting, including options for plant-based and pescatarian diets. Guests can also enjoy more casual meals and afternoon tea at the bar.
Perfect location near the beach, port and shops. Food and drink offering in the restaurant was first class with superb wines and beautiful food. Rooms were beautifully presented and the staff couldn't do enough for us on our two day stay. First class hotel

We had such a lovely time here. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We would especially like to mention Esther and Tiango who were there every day at breakfast with a smile. They also served us in the Bohemia restaurant when we had our Michelin Star tasting menu, which was amazing. They were very professional. We had use of the spa facilities which was lovely. Close to town and main attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

We were asked 50£ for deposit when we checked in, and this deposit was supposed to be returned after we checked out. Usually it takes around 1-2 weeks depending on the banks, however it took one MONTH and a HALF to get the money back, during which we had to contact the hotel and bank to push the process. It seems hotel didn’t do anything to release the money, we would get nothing back without contacting the hotel. Quite annoying

Lovely stay, staff were helpful and friendly. The spa was nice to enjoy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, only downside was that we were on the main road side of the hotel, which was a little noisy.

we stayed in a deluxe double, the room size was good with ample size bathroom although its a shame that a walk in shower is not available. the aircon was superb (essential during the recent heatwave!). all staff were helpful and friendly. over all good value given that you are only 5min level walk from the town centre but equally in a quiet location. we had a minor problem with water leak, a guest in room above flooded their bathroom and made our room unusable for 24hr. the hotel staff and in particular the manager did their best to limit the interruption needed whilst we moved rooms for one night also ensuring we were kept informed throughout. all round this is a good value hotel with good amenities and we would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel. Made welcome by Neville. Lovely breakfast room waitress. Manager there one of a regrettably dying breed, in that he was present most mornings in the foyer, chatting to guests. Most charming.

Booked a non-refundable stay but had a genuine emergency. I emailed within 24 hours and had to call again within 48 hours before anyone answered or picked up. When I finally reached someone, the response was curt and dismissive. Over several more calls and emails I asked about alternatives (like transferring the booking to another person) and was met with the same unhelpful, unfriendly tone. I wasn’t expecting a refund; I did expect basic empathy and problem-solving. The cold, obstructive approach feels like a management issue, not a policy one. Disappointing experience - I won’t return and don’t recommend.

The Old Court House is a charming boutique B&B located in an historic building overlooking St Aubins Harbour. Originally a courthouse, it has been transformed into a cheery pub and guesthouse with only eight rooms, some offering views over the marina. The rooms are decorated with rustic charm and retro details, creating a cozy and homey atmosphere. The inn also features a restaurant in the former courtroom and a private dining room in what used to be the Judges Chambers.
The Old Court Hotel is perfectly located in St Aubin facing the lovely harbour. Rooms are really nice and very comfortable and so peaceful & quiet. The staff members are helpful and very welcoming. Our stay was so pleasant and restful, we highly recommend this hotel as the best one of St Aubin. The atmosphere is genuine, it is very well decorated and the food served in the restaurant is delicious. No need to look further, just book your holiday at the Old Court Hotel, you'll be delighted.
Marie D — Google review
Lovely inn, very historically interesting building. Room was quite small but we had two windows that had wonderful sea views and sunrise views. The breakfast was excellent and so were the Sunday lunch and dinners. The location is superb, right at the harbour. St Aubin is a delightful village with many cafes, bars and a few shops. We dined at the Indian at the start of the Boulevard and found it to be one of the best. The bus service could not be better; airport and St Helier buses every 15 minutes, plus the little road train to St Helier can be caught here. All in all an excellent holiday in a great hotel. Recommended and we will return.

We had a work team meal here on Saturday 13th September. From the time of the booking to the day of the meal I had good contact with the team at The Old Court House. On the day of the meal itself, we were well looked after throughout the day, and I have heard from my colleagues that they were very happy with the food, the service and the venue. Thank you for making our day great. PS. We didn't use the rooms, so can't give any review on the lodging part.

An excellent stay at the Old Court House in St Aubin's, Jersey. A stunning location, and convenient for the buses to Town and the Airport. My room had a sea view over the marina and St Aubin's Fort. The staff were welcoming. The room was very comfortable and very clean. I dined in the restaurant in the evening and also at breakfast, and the food was cooked to perfection.

The Court House exceeded all our expectations and we will definitely come again. It is perfectly located in lovely St Aubin with views across the charming port and also perfectly situated for exploring the island with buses and the little white train close by. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and the ambiance around the hotel spaces was always pleasant and relaxed. Breakfast was very varied and a nice start to our walks around Jersey each day and Sunday lunch was delicious listening to live jazz on the terrace. A perfect place to stay.

The reception was less than welcoming. Stood near the door in order to be seated. A young girl behind the bar saw me (not the one with purplish hair, she was adorable) and promptly ignored me and turned back to the bar. After waiting for 3 or 4 minutes already, she was about to approach me when someone got up from their table, walked to the bar so she decided to serve him anyway. Livid was my mildest reaction. Had it not been 8:30pm with little chance if getting food elsewhere, I would have walked out. Plain ignorance with no regard for customer service. Even her face looked like she'd lost a tenner and then found 5p. Thankfully the humour and service from the other girl was exceptional. As for the food. My seabream special was lovely. Unfortunately, for the fish and chips main, the chef seemed to think coarse sea-salt was a garnish with approx a tablespoon sprinkled down the middle of the batter. Having high blood pressure isn't what I'd want to take away from a meal of fish and chips. Had to tip the fish over the scrape it off.

Had a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the quality of the meal was really good. I'd definitely recommend it.
Martin R — Google review
A comfortable hotel/restaurant/bar in a quirky old building (including a massive stone spiral staircase dating from 1450). The position on the St Aubin habourside is fantastic, right by a popular area with restaurants and bars, but quiet at night. The rooms are comfortable, and well provisioned with tea, coffee, homemade shortbread biscuits, shower gel and shampoo. The food is excellent (a very wide choice at breakfast, and some interesting and tasty dishes on the main menu) taken in a room fitted out as if it were the main cabin of an 18th century sailing ship. The staff a very friendly and helpful.

Nestled just outside St Helier, Longueville Manor Hotel and Restaurant is a stunning 14th-century manor that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern luxury. Surrounded by 18 acres of private woodland, this exquisite retreat features refined rooms and suites, a rejuvenating spa, an outdoor pool for al fresco relaxation, and a casual cocktail bar. The highlight is the acclaimed restaurant boasting two elegantly appointed dining rooms adorned with oak paneling and garden views.
For me, Longueville Manor feels a bit like coming home❣️ I’ve travelled a lot, but this place is truly magical — it always has that something extra. An amazing experience, as always. The food is excellent. Luca & Chef Andrew, together with their teams, create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere — you truly feel cared for, and when you leave… you already can’t wait to come back. The bar staff, restaurant and kitchen teams are simply outstanding. See you soon

We enjoyed a wonderful market menu lunch today - currently enjoying tea in the garden for as long as we like before heading to the airport. Loved the very old cat sunning himself quietly in the garden. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely location. I’d definitely return and would consider staying here.

A charming and very special hotel. The service is exceptionally good. All the staff are attentive but Luca the head of F and B is extra ordinary. He manages by seeing everything and wanders around spreading his magic positiveness. Somehow Luca makes everyone feel extra special. We witnessed an 18th birthday dinner that actually made us emotional as it was handled so brilliantly. His talent needs to be " bottled". Although still young he is hugely experienced. Brian and Benson welcome you on arrival like old friends. Tara charms all and knows what the weather will do so she sets up out door dining appropriately each time. The team that services the rooms are also exceptional and nothing is too much trouble and more importantly they do not rearrange what the guest has arranged! The chef took in his stride our vegan and non dairy requirements and we had the best meals ever. This place has to be experienced we will be back for sure!

Our family recently stayed in both the cottage and rooms here, and it was incredible. The service was exceptionally attentive - staff were always on hand to ensure we had everything we needed. Breakfast and lunch were also amazing. The hotel and its grounds are lovely and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind. Highly recommended for families or anyone seeking a relaxing break.

NOTE THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE LUNCH ONLY. THIS REVIEW DOES NOT CONCERN THE LODGINGS AT THE ESTABLISHMENT, NOR THE AMENITIES I was kindly invited to attend lunch for the celebration of a cousins wedding. We were sat poolside in the lush green surroundings of Loungeville manor. Battling the wasps and other creepy crawler that come with the outdoor dining experience, the waiters kept us well hydrated with frequent check ups. We had pre ordered our meals so when the food came out I had high hopes that everything would come out at one time. I was wrong as it appeared my order had been forgotten about. Perhaps the chef was perfecting the dish as my name has made it around the culinary circles as a food critic. When my food arrived 15 minutes later, the others had already finished their meals. This was a disappointment, particularly as I was hoping to trade a few chips for some scallops. Anyway onto the food itself: I was informed that this was “the best burger ever” by a man who has had many a burger in his time. Unfortunately I can’t give this quite such high praise. Let’s break it down. Burger patty: Very meaty, great char on the exterior. Bun: Soft and playful. Covered with sesame seeds for added texture. Cheese: A weak point. Not nearly enough. Either remove it or add more. One must commit to either a cheeseburger or a plain burger. Tomatoes: I don’t often go for these, but for a holistic review I had the burger as it came. These tomatoes were servicing, and cut through the meat flavour with some needed acidity. Burger Sauce. Inoffensive, but not memorable. Overall a 4/5 burger. The chips were crispy and fluffy. Fresh from the fryer and well seasoned. The ketchup had its expected taste, but I would have also liked the offer of mayonnaise. Overall a pleasant dining experience. If I’m to come again, I hope the food will all be served together on time.

Every year (last 7 years) we come to Longueville as it's where my husband proposed to me and my birthday. Brought our family to spend a lunch/birthday/anniversary and the service was awful. Had to constantly ask for another round of drinks Had to ask to clear the table of empty glasses Staff seem to be non existent in the outside area (pool) Please do better as we've never had such appalling service and has put us right off. Wanted to order lunch but it was that dire that we've gone somewhere else

From the moment you turn into the drive and look at the carefully manicured colourful gardens and the wonderful old Manor House, you know you have arrived somewhere incredibly special. As your car rolls to a halt by the front door, one of the beautifully attired doormen, Brian or Ben, great you with a smile, (and by the second time you see them, like long lost friends!) We were shown to our suite on the top floor with a view across the gardens. The finish of the room is exquisite, beautiful, tastefully decorated to the highest standards. A huge bed, a seating area, a dining area, fabulous toiletries. I could go on…and on. My mother-in-law, who stayed in the hotel with us described one of the waiters at breakfast as like a ballet dancer. Finesse, style, beauty, elegance – all just serving a plate of food to a table. I’ve never thought of a restaurant as like ballet but at Longueville it’s a very appropriate description. We had the pleasure of enjoying the Tasting Menu. Course after course of, well, frankly, art. Food (much of which is proudly grown in the extensive gardens and green houses) that was fabulously presented, that challenged your palette, combined with incredible paired wines. Talking of wines, Longueville has the most immense wine list, and indeed one of the most fabulous physical wine cellars that I have seen anywhere in the world outside of the Grand Cru vineyards of Bordeaux. I can’t recommend enough, finding time to just gaze into the wine cellar, I would also very much recommend trusting the incredibly knowledgeable sommeliers with your wine choices. They have an immense selection of wine by the glass – and I tasted a whole myriad of amazing wines I wouldn’t have chosen on my own. This review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the house cocktail, served inside a stack of ‘books’ – open the lid and enjoy the oak smoke used to infuse the drink. Great theatre, great taste. You get the impression that everyone at Longueville wants your stay and your time on this wonderful island to be truly memorable. The hotel industry is truly global, but to be absolutely world class takes something very special, and that’s what Longueville does - from the beautiful historic Manor House to the wonderful service, Longueville is truly world class.

Lovely afternoon lunch. Food good, location great, but service was brilliant. Faith was our server and looked after us perfectly. Just the right amount of attention, so nit intrusive and we didn't want for anything. She is an asset and we will be back...

Beautiful location and the staff are very attentive, there are also some lovely touches for children like VIP robes and complementary milk and cookies before bed. However the hotel is incredibly overpriced. I don’t expect to pay £300 per night for my child to not even have a proper bed. I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels in London for less money with better facilities. The bathroom was small and the room was dated. The room is only equivalent to a premier plus room at premier inn. Spa facilities are also nice but the communal areas are quite stuffy with a lot of other guests that look down on you. One old man made disgusting lewd comments to a group of women. The staff did talk to him which was appreciated. Great staff, beautiful beach, slightly strange vibe and ridiculous pricing.

Took my partner here for her birthday as a surprise and had Nellie reach out prior to ensure everything was in order, upon check in I was greeted by Nellie who explained everything and more to us and ensured our booking with the spa was sorted. Nellie went above and beyond during our whole trip however also gave me the feeling that this was also her naturally effort to her job which was refreshing to see. The scenery from the hotel balcony and restaurants is incredible with the ability to walk out straight onto the beach ! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a break or is looking for a romantic spa getaway.

Great location overlooking the sea, but this place is beginning to show its age. Fixtures showing signs of wear and tear, UPVC door and windows are tired and damaged/corroded. Food and wine is very expensive and I really dislike the practice of ‘discretionary service charge’ of 13%😭 We found all the staff to be welcoming and friendly through our stay. We will stay here again without doubt, but that is more about charm, comfy beds, staff and location.

Can't fault the hotel . But be very wery of special offers as very misleading. Check if you get evening meal on first night Went on New Year's break and said Gala night (not) Nothing very boring no interaction from staff no atmosphere just an ordinary night only wished we had gone somewhere else More fun in a kids party.xx On a positive note Hotel lovely and food..x But won't go back on special offers or festive breaks as really nothing going on Unless you call balloons on floor and crackers on table New year.

We didn't stay here but were glad it was within bus or walking distance for dinner. We ate here twice, and the food was lovely both times. The April menu offered good choice and value. Service was also friendly, and we would certainly go back.

We stayed at La Barbarie for a week at the beginning of August. The hotel has a lovely peaceful rural setting with a beautiful bay nearby and within walking distance. We stayed in a 'deluxe' room but we felt the room was dated and the balcony outside was full of cobwebs and rusty lights so wasn't very pleasant to sit on. The room inside was always very clean. We found that not all staff were friendly especially management, I suggest possible customer service training needed as no interaction with us (probably because we weren't regular hotel guests???) The hotel bill was very confusing and we felt misleading. Food was delicious but on the pricey side. Each morning the steps and outside surfaces were cleaned with a hosepipe and this made these areas very slippy and dangerous.

From start to finish, our experience at The Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa was absolutely flawless — I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Each and every member of staff was truly incredible, going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Special thanks to Ronojoy (Front Office Manager), who organised our room, bookings, and every detail with such care and efficiency, making the whole experience seamless. Cornelius gave us a lovely and welcoming phone call the day before our arrival, which set the tone perfectly. On arrival, Charlotte checked us in with warmth and professionalism, immediately making us feel at home. Krishna provided outstanding 10/10 housekeeping service, ensuring our room was immaculate throughout our stay. At the Tassili restaurant, Lewis and Shashini took such wonderful care of us - their knowledge, attentiveness, and personal touches made the dining experience exceptional. Of course, we must also commend Chef Nicolas, whose incredible food was a true highlight of our trip. We truly can’t wait to return and make this a special annual tradition. Thank you all so much again for a truly memorable and wonderful stay. Please pass this feedback on to the team.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel De France. It is set in a beautiful old mansion house with a modern spa and restaurant. A good location for exploring St Helier- though be aware it's up a steep hill so might not be suitable for those with mobility issues. The staff were all excellent. Good quality breakfast and food in the restaurant. Our room was spotless and nicely furnished. Comfortable mattress and lovely toiletries supplied. My only gripe is that we booked the cheaper 'classic double' which was situated at the rear of the hotel. Be aware these rooms have no view and have noisy extractor fans outside the window. The room was also lacking an iron and mini fridge. I would pay the extra for a balcony room. Would return.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Good looking hotel with nice surroundings. Bedroom was big with a very good bathroom. All clean. Breakfast very good. Service very good. We liked the free minibus to and back from the town, could be improved by extending the times when run. The car park is a decent size although can fill up during the day but there were always spaces in the evening. The only negative for us was the evening restaurant menu which didn't appeal to us. We did try some of the simpler options which were ok but not special. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants in the town so didn't spoil our stay.

Thus review is a little late me and my mother stayed at the hotel November 2024 for a short stay and it was wonderful. The environment is so relaxing and the staff are so friendly and kind. Our room was absolutely beautiful and it was so clean. The breakfast was amazing and the restaurant staff were great ( Sarah/ Monica / Francis). The afternoon tea was lovely too and once again the restaurant staff were great, John and Ashu. I was pregnant during my stay and I was very well looked after and cared for. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you to all staff at hotel de France.

Had a very nice two night stay here! The hotel and the grounds are very grand and well-kept. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The bathroom decor was a little bit dated but everything was in pristine condition so nothing to complain about. The provided toiletries and local tea and coffee offerings in the room were a nice touch. There was a fan in the room as well which came in handy during the warm weather. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The location is a little bit far out from St. Helier but I didn't mind the 10 minute walk into the centre. I had a good stay and would recommend.

For the price it is not worth it. A 20 minute walk to the town centre, the least luxurious and well maintained room I’ve stayed in for the price. Breakfast was included yet the nice options were an extra! Buffet style very limited. Spa is very good, grounds are pretty, food is decent.

The Pomme d’Or Hotel is a modern and luxurious 4-star hotel located in the heart of Jersey, offering elegant rooms with harbor views. With a history of over 180 years, this hotel combines traditional hospitality with contemporary design. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, sauna, and free access to the nearby Aquadome Leisure Centre. The hotel also offers exquisite dining options and a bar for guests to unwind.
Stay here regularly for work and it's one of my favourite hotels. Staff are friendly and helpful the place is clean and well kept. My only complaint and it's a minor one is though there are plug sockts there are none next to the bed. Breakfast has a wide choice of both continental and English items, I always have a pot off tea or coffee offers by the staff but was surprised on my last visit when a colleague asked to find out that Cappuccino, Laté and the like are all at extra cost. The cocktail bar in the basement is worth a visit with a good atmosphere (I think might be residents only)

My wife and I stayed for a week. Great breakfast service (although one tea bag is enough in a pot of tea for one). Various dinning options. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed a tad smaller than we are used to at home but comfortable. Good sized bathroom (walk in shower would suit me better) and the room was attended to every day Very good location

Absolutely first class! Hotel location and history is second to none! The staff are truly exceptional, each and every one are friendly, polite and always have a genuine smile for you. Would love to mention them all by name, but I would run out of space to continue review! The rooms are very pleasant and the housekeeping is first class. Food is very good and of a very high standard in preparation. If you come to Jersey, then please try to stay at The Pomme d'Or you won't regret it👍

Didn't stay at this hotel but our driver from the airport recommended the Ponme door Hotel for cocktails. Well the hotel it self is lovely but at the bar we could not see a cocktail menu, so we asked at the bar and the bar tender took us down some stairs and into what I would describe as another world! Almost dark, soft lighting, unusual decor and an amazing cocktails menu. We stayed for hours, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. It was an amazing experience. Went back to Pomme dor Hotel cafe bar for coffee and pastry the next day.

Only went for dinner but very pleased. Just returned from St Malo and needed to eat. Warm and friendly welcome, offered choice of tables. Limited menu but covers all tastes. Thai curry and beef and ale pie were excellent. Sticky toffee pudding also good and sauce not poured over but in separate bowl. Eton mess good but needs less cream and more meringue. 1 piece on top does not cut it.

Well appointed hotel with everything you'd expect in a 5 star hotel, although gym/pool is in a sister hotel. Bed was a little hard. No biscuits in room. Staff were a bit clinical here and there. Opposite bus station, near marina and town centre....great location.

Nestled in a serene tree-ringed valley on the enchanting island of Sark, Stocks Hotel is a delightful retreat that perfectly balances comfort and elegance. This charming Georgian hotel features individually decorated rooms equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, ensuring guests feel right at home. The property boasts beautifully landscaped grounds where you can unwind by the heated outdoor pool or indulge in some relaxation at the spa and hot tub. Dining options are plentiful, with an inviting restaurant serving up delicious meals that cater to various tastes.
We loved it as we wanted a quiet relaxing holiday and that's exactly what we got. We had good weather and were able to visit most of the island on foot. We hired electric bikes for a day, which were great for some of the steeper hills. We took things to do in case the weather was bad, but the hotel was well equipped with a library and board games if required. The indoor pool was being refurbished and the outdoor pool too cold for us, although it was heated, but in summer would be great. The hotel was great and the staff professional but friendly and well informed about the island and what to see and do.

What an absolute gem . Rooms where clean and comfortable. Restaurant served excellent food . Gardens glorious. Loved every minute, didn't want to leave. Drinks expensive in tbe bar but very cosy, bar man needs some charisma, but is young and learning the ropes. Stocks Made the holiday and in comparison to Herm white house was far superior. The Old Government House Hotel & Spa is a luxurious and historic hotel located in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Originally built in 1792 as the governor's residence, it was converted into a hotel in 1858 and offers a grand and upscale experience. The hotel boasts stunning views of the port, two refined restaurants, an outdoor pool, and a boutique spa. With its rich history and elegant decor, this five-star hotel provides modern amenities while maintaining its historical charm.
We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here (after spending our honeymoon at the OGH last year) and once again, we had the most amazing time. We were spoilt with a room upgrade and spa acces. We then had a beautiful dinner with cocktails in the Crown Club, followed by the best sleep in the comfiest of beds. We woke up to a chocolate egg outside our door, as it was also Easter - a lovely touch! A super yummy breakfast, followed by a beautiful afternoon tea... And to top it off, a couples massage! Safe to say, it was the most fabulous 24 hours, and the staff are just the most friendly and helpful we have ever encountered. Big shout out to Kris, Pamela and Christina for making it extra special! We shall see you again next year!

I had the most amazing authentic English afternoon tea experience at The Old Government House Hotel & Spa with my fiancé and his mum. Everything was perfect—from the elegant setting to the beautifully arranged tiered stand of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. The tea selection was lovely, and the staff were absolutely amazing—so warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. It was such a special and memorable afternoon in a truly charming and historic setting. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a proper English afternoon tea in Guernsey. We’ll definitely be back!

Booked a four day break and was given a Queen Room 109. Tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and a lovely balcony that overlooks the port. Service is first class, all very friendly....cater for everything. Food and drink is exceptional. Located just off the High Street in an elevated position....quiet and ok if you don't like hills. Superb hotel offering a 5star service

We are traveling from East Riding of Yorkshire to Guernsey via Poole ferries as I write this. This is the 4th visit for us in a year so that speaks volumes. On our previous visits to OGH have been wonderful. I had a special birthday there, our wedding anniversary, a Christmas event, and a few family meal/ stays which this 5 ⭐️ hotel was the perfect venue. It’s truly got to be the best hotel on St Peter Port. I will enclose some photos of our stays and I’m sure you will understand too why it’s the only 5 star hotel on the island. Beautiful historic building, Gorgeous clean rooms, lovely welcome at reception. Bars, communal rooms ( piano/ music) and stunning restaurant with menu’s to suit any palate. Unfortunately we left this holiday booking ( July 25 ) too late therefore “no rooms at the Inn” So lesson learned there! . We will still visit The old government house for meals and drinks and hopefully get a few day passes to their fantastic pool and spa. I best not forget the Staff! Very attentive, fun, friendly, and most of all very professional. ❤️

We held our wedding at the OGH and couldn’t fault our experience. Planning everything from abroad made it a little more difficult but the events manager, Mel, was exceptional—she made us feel completely at ease and in safe hands from the very start. In the lead-up to the big day, everything from the food tasting to the planning meetings with the team was smooth, professional, and accommodating. On the day itself, the staff were fantastic—attentive, warm, and seamless in their service. So many of our guests commented on how great the team was. We opted for a three-course meal, which received rave reviews. Everything ran perfectly and exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend the OGH to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-run wedding venue.

Lovely beautiful old building. Went for drinks before dinner. Be careful though - when ordering a Gordon’s gin and tonic they will charge you for a double Whedons!!! Couldn’t complain because I didn’t want to make a scene. Not impressed I must say! Rest of the place stunning and as it should be!

Greenhills Country House Hotel & Restaurant is a charming 17th-century retreat nestled in the verdant valleys of St Peter, Jersey. The hotel offers 33 cozy rooms adorned with country-chic decor and plush furnishings. The property exudes local character with its pink granite farmhouse structure and oak-beamed reception rooms featuring roaring log fires. The restaurant, recently awarded 2 AA Rosettes, serves delectable dishes crafted from local produce and seafood in a beautifully appointed space overlooking the garden terrace.
Just returned from a three night stay in this hotel for my first visit to Jersey and it won't be my last. I absolutely loved it. The hotel is a real gem. Set in a quiet, rural location in St Peter's, it was a great place to stay and explore the island. We had a hire car so managed to see a lot of what the island has to offer. We had booked Superior Rooms and 'wow' they were lovely! - tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. After full-on days out, we tended to return to the hotel and have our meals and drinks in the bar. Not a huge range of choice on the bar menu but ample. There is also a separate menu for the main restaurant. The food was always served piping hot and really delicious (they say local produce is used wherever possible). The breakfast offered a wide choice and again - delicious. The staff are lovely, polite and provide the right level of attention. Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely go back there.

We have enjoyed 9 days in this comfortable Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful whilst being efficient. The room has been comfortable and well designed. We chose not to hire a vat and used taxis and buses to get around Jersey as well as walking. The restaurant and bar menu is excellent. We dined here 9 nights and all of our choices were delicious. Totally recommend this beautiful hotel .

One of the best and most memorable hotels I’ve stayed in recently, primarily because of the wonderful staff and service. It’s a short drive from the airport and not really surrounded by any other amenities, but everything you could want is in the hotel and the small grounds are lovely. There is a small outdoor pool which is closed in the winter months but it would be a great space to relax with a book in the summer. Checking in was a delight and really welcoming. Despite arriving early in the morning they were happy to let me have access to the room which was on the first floor, overlooking the front of the hotel. There wasn’t an elevator so best to contact the hotel before staying if that’s likely to pose an issue. The room was spacious and decorated beautifully, with a really homely feel. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the complimentary bottled water was a nice touch, as well as the drink making facilities you’d expect as well as a few snacks. The bathroom was equally as spacious and clean with decent storage space. The shower was over the bath and had decent power with pleasant bottled toiletries provided. On the ground floor there’s a bar, small lounge area and restaurant - having a few drinks and a meal there had to be one of the highlights of the stay. The staff are really attentive (admittedly maybe too much) and drinks are served quickly. There’s a small food menu offered in the bar but the menu in the restaurant is great. I’d only intended to have a small meal before bed but the quality of food and presentation, along with the setting, meant just kept ordering! The pre-meal bread & oil, scallop starter, pheasant main, chocolate ganache desert and even post-meal cheese were all perfect. Far from cheap but worth every penny. I was almost sad to be checking out the following day and only staying the one night. Next time I’m in Jersey I’ll be staying here again.

We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. The room was very clean, the bed comfy with a good-sized ensuite. All the team members were very professional and helpful. Ate in the bar 2 nights of our stay and the food was fresh and tasty. But we felt slightly ripped off when ordering a portion of bread for our cheese & meat platter, and we got a bread roll cut into quarters with some oil/balsamic and were charged £5 extra Please also be aware that although the hotel is on a bus route, it is an 8 minute walk down a steep hill without pavements to the bus stop. The bus is every 2 hours and they stop at 7 pm in the evening. We can recommend Greenhills, but you should hire a car.

This is a lovely and very friendly place to stay. We received a warm welcome when we first arrived after an early morning flight and were invited to have breakfast in the dining room which we gratefully accepted. Reception told us our room wasn't ready but had asked housekeeping to prioritise our room, by midday we were told our room was available, normal check in time is 3:00 pm so we were very grateful to all who got us into our room so early. We had booked a superior garden room which was very spacious and well appointed. The hotel is extremely comfortable both inside and out. We ate in the restaurant every night and most days had lunch in the bar. The food was of the highest quality, it was hard but enjoyable choosing from the menu. Lastly a big thank you to all the staff who helped make our holiday so enjoyable, everybody was very friendly but also professional.

Relaxed Stay with a Surprise Guest! Stayed at the Royal Yacht and Spa in Jersey and overall had a really pleasant time. The room was comfortable, though we did have an unexpected visit from a very friendly pigeon one evening — gave it a gentle escort out and all was well! Breakfast was excellent — plenty of choice and good quality. There was a bit of background music drifting up now and then, but nothing too disruptive. Would definitely return. It’s a stylish, well-located spot and makes a solid base for exploring Jersey.

Genuinely the worst meal I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. I had the red pesto linguine which comes with sun dried tomatoes and chicken. There was absolutely no red pesto, no sun dried tomatoes, and the chicken was atrocious. They gave just 3 whole tomato’s? Not sun-dried. Again, no red pesto, in fact no sauce or flavour of any kind? Not sure how that’s even possible. Purely watery. And the chicken was so chewy, flat, and flavourless it’s like someone has rolled over it with a steamroller. Genuinely the worst chicken I have ever had, disgusting and borderline inedible. And why was there a bunch of courgette in there? Absurdly expensive for such appalling quality

Good hotel, wouldn’t rate as 4*. Had an issue with the seal at the bottom of the shower door, raised as an issue due to water all over floor and as a result very sloppy. Raised on 1st day of stay and never fixed. Disappointed that there were smoking facilities on balcony. Could smell smoke in room as a result. Waste bin in room was all rusty. Not what I expected from this hotel. Glad we booked the Gold Plus room. Would have been very disappointed with other rooms. Carpets in need of a good clean, very stained and throw for the bed was not the cleanest. Toilet needed some bleach and a good clean. Wouldn’t rush back. Had a meal in the Grill and it was excellent. Had better breakfast options at other hotels. See photos for bin and shower door seal.

Stayed here for the first time last weekend as other hotels on the island were fully booked, I have been coming to jersey for 15 years and never had such bad service and disrespect from staff. When checking in the door to our room had issues and took an additional 30 minutes to get into the room, when we did get in the carpets in the room where soaking wet and didn't dry out for our whole stay. On the Second day I had Purchased some small collectables from the city and put them on the side in our room, when we had come back that night all of the collectables had been taken from the room and at first hotel staff seemed to want to help as much as possible when I had reported this, I was told there format was to wait from the manager to get on duty which I was told was the next day. The next morning when I asked I was shown a WhatsApp group chat by the lady on the front desk claiming they don't know anything about the things lost and that was there whole procedure from when reports like this come in. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE They don't care about the people staying nor do they care if anything happens to your or your property.
Andrew — Google review
This was our second visit to the Royal Yacht, having previously stayed two years ago. This time, things weren’t quite at the standard we expected. Mostly everything was good, but there were a couple of issues that tainted our experience. We stayed in room 314, which is in the newer part where we had booked before. Unfortunately 314 is right beside the rooms used by the laundry/cleaning department. It was soooooooo noisy. We don’t mind some level of noise, but being constantly woken up by trollies going back and forth into those rooms was very frustrating. It’s not acceptable to be making that noise after midnight. If you’re booked into 314, I recommend asking to move. Secondly there was mould on two of our pillows. There was a spare one in the wardrobe so I just used that, but I was surprised that the cleaning service failed to notice the mould and kept putting those pillows back on the bed. We were only staying for a few days, so we didn’t raise the issue until checking out (like I said, mostly everything else was fine), and we don’t like to create a fuss. But the reason I’m even writing this review is because of the response from the gentlemen on reception. Neither seemed concerned about the noise complaint AT ALL, although looking through some recent reviews, it seems they get a lot of complaints about noise levels - although more related to the club - and they gave the impression they couldn’t care less about our particular challenges re: sleeping. Whilst one of them seemed at least mildly embarrassed about the photos of the mould, he also said “I’ve worked here for years and I’ve never seen anything like this before.” (I’m not sure how that’s relevant. It’s happening now and I’m showing you pictures!) I would have preferred a proper full apology, not some half-assed inference that there must be something strange happening because he’s never seen it before. It left a bad taste, and for that reason, we won’t be back. I don’t want to take away from the good parts of the Royal Yacht, because there are lots of great things about it: brilliant location, staff in breakfast room are all outstanding, and good room service (both food and delivery times). But thanks to the reception staff failing to adequately respond to the failings, we’ll try somewhere else next time.

St. Ouens Bay in Jersey offers iconic views of the Channel Islands, including Guernsey and Sark, as well as northern France. The area features natural attractions like the caves of Plemont and Greve de Lecq, and Devils Hole is a must-see during mid to high tides. Visitors can enjoy surfing at St. Ouens Bay, known for its ideal conditions for lessons and surfing due to the Atlantic Ocean's waves.
Stunning beach, and one of the best spots for sunset. Possibly the most intact remnants of WW2 German Atlantic Wall. This beach would have been considered as most likely beach assault location and as such has concrete wall and bunker systems / fortifications along entire beach with Artillery batteries in hills to NW providing support.

Jersey Zoo, previously known as Durrell Wildlife Park, is a pioneering wildlife conservation park established in 1959 by naturalist Gerald Durrell. It is the first zoo dedicated to conservation projects and focuses on endangered species. The zoo is part of the larger conservation efforts of the Durrell Conservation Trust, which includes working with various species such as the aye-aye from Madagascar and the orange-tailed skink from Mauritius.
Really nice Zoo, with a great conservation message. The reptile house and large apes are great to see. You can easily spend 5hrs here. Lots of parking and the cafe was surprisingly good. I would say they could do with improving their signage, just finding the entrance to the butterfly house was not obvious at all, but the displays across the zoo are all really good. They also had the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on which was fantastic.

Really nice zoo and friendly staff. The sloths were asleep so the chap showed us some pics in his home. Really nicely laid out and the enclosures were spacious, especially the otter enclosure. A couple of enclosures were closed which is expected.

This is such a magical place to visit & a must-see if you are visiting Jersey... This zoo has so much history & is just wonderful. The animals are amazing & the infographics for all of them are informative & eye-opening, there is so much to see. We had a great time just wandering around & taking in all the sights & smells of the zoo, every part of it was amazing & I can't wait to go back! If you book online there is a discount, so we'll worth booking in advance. The bus journey is lovely & doesn't take too long to get there, & the buses are quite frequent.

We did the meerkat experience with Sam, he was very knowledgeable and was very interesting. We got hands-on experience preparing the meerkats food and got to enjoy feeding them, whilst Sam told us amazing facts about them. I would really recommend doing this experience. The zoo itself was generally a nice day out. Very well kept, clean. There were good viewing points for all of the animals. Interesting information on Gerarld and his life. One thing to note is that this zoo prioritises conservation, so do not expect to see the big ticket animals like other zoos, i.e., lions, elephants, etc.

Disclaimer: I was a Gerald Durrell fanboy starting as a young teenager from reading his very funny books. So i was thrilled to finally be able to visit Jersey Zoo. I have been to a lot of zoos in my life and am happy to report that Jersey Zoo has the consistently best designed enclosures for animal well-being that I've seen. The exhibits are well labeled and documented. It's not a huge zoo but you could easily spend a day here. Don't miss the exhibit on Durrell's life. Nice cafe with good cake. Overall highly recommended. Easily reachable by bus. You can feel good you supported a great conservation institution.

We bought tickets online and got two buses from St Brelade's Bay. When we arrived we were told that a couple of areas were going through maintenance so we may not see these animals. We saw some fab animals though, including birds, gorillas, snakes, toads, flamingos etc. and a lovely volunteer that we got chatting to pointed out a couple of marmosets that we would have missed otherwise. Overall, a great spot to visit.

Mont Orgueil Castle, an 800-year-old medieval fortress, stands tall above a charming fishing village in Jersey. This historic stronghold was the island's main defense for centuries and offers sweeping coastal views. Visitors can explore secret rooms, discover a witchcraft exhibit, and uncover intriguing artifacts like the medieval Wheel of Urine and Prayer Nuts hidden within its walls. The castle provides an entertaining journey through history with its impressive architecture and captivating exhibits.
Gorey castle was the highlight of our week in Jersey. The castle is beautiful, I recommend entering through the sea path up some steep steps. Once you arrive at the gate you’re gifted with a beautiful garden. One real highlight was Geoff, he was our guide (he is a volunteer), Geoff was outstanding in his knowledge and humour. After the 90 minute tour had finished we were completely blown away by the experience of visiting the castle.

What an amazing, wonderful & fantastic place! The castle has so much history & is so well preserved & presented that every corner has something new & fascinating to look at. It has informative plaques & infographics that plunge you into the history & personality of the castle making you feel that you are a part of it. My inner child was itching at the bit over every piece of this place. The view form the top is recommended, you see every part of the coastline of Jersey & on the other side you can see the beaches of France! The staff were lovely & helpful. The place is epic... Oh & watch out for the wall lizards... You can hear them in the flora & they pop out onto the wall before skittering off, it's so cool! I can't wait to go back!!

A must visit if you are in Jersey! There are three castles on the island, however with this one being on the east coast, you will get stunning views of the coast of France! it takes about 2 hours to explore the castle and there are lots of steps. This is not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties or those who need extra assistance. I would also recommend taking a bottle of water if the sun is out, you will be very warm by the time you reach the top! The castle is over 800 years old, with fascinating history to it. From the times of William the conqueror to the German occupation of the island in WW2. It has been beautifully kept, and there are hundreds of areas to explore in the castle and the grounds itself. You can book tickets online, however we purchased our tickets on arrival from the entrance which was easy to do. If you are going to visit more than one attraction they do offer a discounted ticket for 3 attractions, and it does work out as a saving to you. So check this out if you want to visit the castle, maritime museum and another attraction on the offer. With stunning views of the island, France and the bays, this is a fantastic attraction on the island and I would highly recommend to anyone interested in history, castles or those looking for something fun and interesting to do while in Jersey. Castle is easy accessible by bus, with the bus stopping right in the town below the castle.

Really enjoyed our castle visit. Loads to see but it is up loads of stairs. The views from the top are spectacular and loved that you could go round in any order. The "serf" running around with his lute looked like he wanted to be anywhere but we found that quite amusing. Cafe was good and had a humongous scone. Really nice staff and highly recommend.

Wow! A jaw-droppingly-good castle with plenty of rooms stairs, floors, corridors, dungeon and roof top to explore. Comparatively more exciting than Elisabeth Castle. A captivating history will keep you interested for a couple of hours. With gift shop, cafe and respectably clean public toilets. The views from the different levels and parapets are not to be missed. On a breezy day, keep a hold of your children and your hats out on the very top!

Very enjoyable. The castles is in a good condition, considering everything. Plenty of rooms, courtyards, roof tops and other bits to see. A great view from the top, of course a lot of steps are involved, so some may find the climb difficult. Otherwise well worth catch the bus and enjoy.

An absolute must for anyone who likes castles. Not a ruin but not updated and modernised either - you get a real feel for how the castle was and how it developed over the centuries. Great explanatory displays throughout, so that you can understand better. Lots of stairs, but absolutely worth it for the great views. Also catch the bird of prey display if it’s on when you visit.

Hauteville House is the former residence of the renowned French writer Victor Hugo during his exile from France. Located at 38 Rue Hauteville, overlooking St Peter Port, this quirky and creatively decorated house and garden served as the backdrop for many of Hugo's masterpieces including Les Miserables and The Man Who Laughs.
Hauteville House, located in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, is a remarkable and atmospheric historical site, best known as the former home of French writer Victor Hugo during his exile from France. The house, which he lived in from 1856 to 1870, is a fascinating blend of history, literary significance, and eccentric design. Hugo’s time in Guernsey was marked by his creative output, including the writing of *Les Misérables*, one of his most famous works. The house itself is a work of art, designed and furnished by Hugo to reflect his personal tastes and political ideals. Every room is filled with a distinctive mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and French Empire styles, showcasing Hugo's love for both the dramatic and the ornate. His influence is especially evident in the elaborate woodwork, colorful stained-glass windows, and unique decorations, many of which were created by the writer himself. Visitors can tour the rooms, which are still arranged as they were during Hugo's residence, offering a glimpse into his daily life and creative process. Hauteville House’s location provides stunning views of St. Peter Port and the surrounding coastline, adding a layer of beauty to the experience. The house is also a tribute to Hugo’s personal struggles and exile, giving visitors a sense of the emotional and intellectual journey he embarked upon during his time on the island. For literature enthusiasts, history buffs, and those intrigued by Victor Hugo’s legacy, Hauteville House is an unmissable stop in Guernsey, offering a deep and immersive connection to the writer’s life and work.

A must visit if you have 2 hours, you will see all in this time incl garden. It was fully booked on the website but we emailed as we had a special birthday when visiting and we were staying at Pandora 2 doors up. They said to come down when they opened to see if there was room, and there was, so thank you for such great communication and being so accommodating. Our guide was a young french girl from Britanny who was extremely knowledgeable, passionate on it's history and made us laugh, she is a true credit to the museum. This house’s location gives you the most stunning views of St. Peter Port and the surrounding coastline. It was very interesting to hear all about Victor Hugo and the history of the house and his family, we learnt a lot. Loved seeing the artwork from both himself and his very talented wife.

Seeing this place is non-negotiable if you’re visiting Guernsey for the first time (and honestly subsequent times). It was the home of Victor Hugo while he was in exile from France during the reign of Napoleon the third. The interior is a maximalists dream, and every nook and cranny is dripping in symbolism and aesthetic beauty. It is an incredibly memorable place, both for its history and its exquisite beauty and charm. I can’t wait to visit again!

A real surprise. The house got better the higher you got. Very quirky.

Beautiful very well preserved house of Victor Hugo where he spent his last years. Making an appointment in advance, is necessary because only small groups are guided through the various rooms of the house.
Frank M — Google review
Interesting experience that you can only enter with a small private guided tour. Adults are 12£ or 10£ for under 25 and students. Reservations are required, but you can walk up and try your luck on entering with a tour in your language. I didn’t want to wait an hour for English tour so I did French and got about 70-80% of it. Nice experience with good views, history and FREE access to gardens for anyone. This house shows thé eclectic personality and inner thoughts of exiled Victor Hugo
PPN — Google review
A great insight into the mind of Victor Hugo. Guided tour lasted around an hour. Worth booking in advance to minimise wait (you have to have a guided tour). Much dearer than the other attractions on the island as the house is part of the Paris Museum group.

Victor Hugo was an extraordinary man. A writer, poet, politician, statesman, artist, abolitionist for slavery and outspoken critic of the death penalty. A fervent critic of the tyrant Napoleon III meant that he was exiled from France, then thrown out of Belgium and Jersey before settling in Guernsey, where he lived for 15 years. Hauteville House was transformed by Hugo with every rooms decoration and design having meaning. The lovely French lady who spoke excellent English gave a thorough and extremely interesting tour.

La Hougue Bie Museum is a remarkable destination that offers a fascinating glimpse into the past, showcasing one of Europe's most well-preserved passage graves. This Neolithic site features an impressive burial mound topped by the stunning 12th-century Norman chapel of Notre Dame de Clarte and the Jerusalem Chapel from 1520. Visitors can explore the crypt housing a replica of Christ's tomb, while archaeological treasures like ancient coins and weapons provide insight into life over 6,000 years ago.
Amazing place to visit, worth the entry fee. Very interesting, the Lady volunteer on 30.03.25 (sorry not remembered your name) gave us an excellent welcome and info to help us get the most from our time there. Videos all very easy to watch and full of useful information. 10/10 Jersey attraction, suitable for all school aged children and adults.

Amazing site, well presented. Excellent display for the Grouville Coin Hoard and for the Slave Workers Memorial in the Bunker. In addition, of course, to the neolithic passage grave itself and recreated long house! Something for all ages.

Cobo Bay Hotel & The Beach Terrace is a modern hotel located on the southwest coast of Guernsey, offering elegant rooms with many featuring sea views. Guests can enjoy beachfront dining and access to a sauna. The hotel's prime location provides easy access to Cobo Bay, one of the most popular beaches on the island known for its white sands and crystal-clear waters.
Perfect place to stay when in Guernsey. Had a nice, spaceous and very clean superior singleroom with everything you need for a stay. Great location at the beach. Nice breakfast, continental with possibility to order warm food. Outstanding food at the restaurant and very friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.

Great little hotel situated on the west coast of the island with one of the islands best beaches just across the road. Had a superior room with a partial sea view, good size room with a large king sized bed which was extremely comfortable. Bathroom decent size. No fridge or air conditioning in the rooms and you can’t use the apps on the smart TV. Breakfast was ok, they didn’t always get the order right but the staff overall were very friendly. I believe the hotel is about to begin a refurbishment which is needed. Whilst very nice it’s starting to look a bit dated in places.
Scott B — Google review
The staff at Cobo Bay were extremely kind. My booking was upgraded when I checked in, which was a nice surprise. I needed to be flexible with my dates, and Cobo Bay accommodated without any issue since I booked with them directly. The rooms were clean and the restaurant was very nice! Breakfast was fantastic every morning. The beds were a little firmer than I typically prefer, but the room itself was plenty big and the bathroom was also nice. One thing to note is that if you're planning on getting around Guernsey with public transit, you'll likely have to take the bus into St Peters Port first to get around to other places on the island. Or if you want to go on any tours, they'd all be leaving from the opposite side of the island. So it wasn't quite as convenient of a location for exploring the island without a car, but it's not impossible either. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel and at least 3 others within easy walking distance. If you're wanting a beach getaway, this is a great option since Cobo Bay is across the street from hotel. There's easy access to the beach. However, it's not a quiet location since the street is very busy and there's construction all around. So just be mindful of that as well. Eating on the terrace is nice, though, because there's a barrier between the restaurant and the street so it doesn't feel like you're right next to the traffic.

Just enjoyed a 4 night break over the balcony gig weekend with friends. Our first stay at Cobo Bay Hotel and we were so impressed with the incredible views, we were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed our morning swims. The hotel staff, front of house, housekeeping, bar staff, waiting staff....you all provided an absolutely superb and professional service, nothing was too much trouble and you were all so very friendly and welcoming. You are all a credit to the owner and hotel. The food was very good, freshly prepared breakfasts and lunches, very delicious. We were so impressed and enjoyed our stay so very much, that we have already booked again for next year. It was our friend's first trip to Guernsey and our stay at Cobo Bay Hotel, enhanced his first impressions of the island and all it has to offer. Thank you Cobo Bay and see you again next year.

An amazing small, family run boutique hotel. Location is perfect in every sense of the way. Right across the street from a gorgeous sandy beach. The staff at the hotel are all super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room we had was small, but comfortable. We will opt for a sea view next time!

We had a lovely dining experience at Cobo bay hotel. We had a nice table by the window and even though it was wet and windy, we still had good views out to sea. The serving staff were all friendly, polite, and very efficient. The food was great - I had the monkfish char Sui which was lovely and perfectly portioned. Two others of our party got the trio of fish and chips which they really enjoyed. The tiramisu and cheesecake were also good. We’d definitely come back. There is lots on the menu so something to suit everyone, and the staff are great too. A top spot to have lunch/dinner.

Wow!! It exceeded our expectations. My Mum and Stepdad stayed here for their honeymoon back in 2017 and loved it and wanted to come back this year for another visit, my Mum was born in Guernsey and we have family here so us kids decided we wanted to come too. (Mum, Stepdad, my brother, stepbrother, my daughter and me) As we visited in the Summer holidays it wasnt cheap for us, but it was worth saving up for. £1540 for twin room with balcony over looking Cobo Bay Beach for 7 nights which included a free breakfast. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful, the balconies are so spacious and the views are stunning. The sunsets were something else 😍. All of the staff were so helpful and you are always greeted with a smile and a hello. The breakfasts were great, you could have anything from fresh fruit, cereal, croissants and toast to a full fry up. We ate dinner in the restaurant a few times and the food is delicious and beautifully presented. We all absolutely loved our stay at Cobo Bay Hotel and would 100% recommend it. We would come back in a heartbeat. (We will start saving again 😊)

This hotel probably has the best location on Guernsey, slap bang in the middle of Cobo Bay right next to the beach. Meals were exceptional, accommodation spot on. Ideal base to explore Guernsey, although Cobo Bay is by far the best place, especially the sunsets (see photos).

Can’t fault this hotel: the location is superb and really very special. The staff were without exception polite, friendly and professional. Rooms are on the small side but adequate for what you need and very clean. The breakfast was very good indeed with some lovely local foods included. There are beautiful coastal walks close by and Alderney is a very special corner of the British Isles. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope to return one day. Thanks to the entire team for all their work.

I was very fortunate in that my sister organised a birthday lunch for me — and the Braye Beach turned out to be a great choice. I had an excellent steak salad and our guests all enjoyed their meals. In addition, the service — which had been lackluster at best in recent years — was both efficient and super-friendly, with smiles being amply in evidence. And topping it off was a wonderful cake made by chef Kendi (I hope I got her name right), that was both beautifully decorated and delicious. Thank you to her and all the staff for their efforts — they are truly appreciated.

We had Sunday lunch here yesterday. Firstly, the staff are very friendly and efficient. We asked to move our table so we could have a few of the bay, and this was done quickly and without any fuss. The chicken liver pate was lovely and the relish served with it was one of the best I've ever tasted. I had the roast beef which I would say was served "medium", which suited me. The Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were not the best I've had, but still tasty. The dessert was well presented and very nice.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough, especially for families. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional – warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, especially when one of our children became unwell during the trip. The care and kindness shown by the team made a difficult situation much easier, and we are so grateful for their support. The hotel is very family-friendly, with great facilities for children. The pool area was a big hit with our little ones – clean, safe, and lots of fun. We also really enjoyed the evening entertainment, which was well-organised and had something for everyone. There was a fantastic choice of food and restaurants, catering to a variety of tastes. The breakfast selection, in particular, was excellent – fresh, plentiful, and something new to try every morning. We never struggled to find something we all liked. The staff throughout the hotel were knowledgeable and informative, always happy to answer questions or provide recommendations. Room service was another highlight – prompt, friendly, and efficient. Our room was maintained to a very high standard each day, which we really appreciated. Although we spent much of our time exploring the beautiful island of Jersey, the hotel itself had plenty to offer, and we were never short of things to do on-site. Overall, we had a brilliant experience and would definitely return. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable!

Second year staying here, another amazing holiday. Brilliant for our kids so much on offer for them. Entertainment was brilliant and the Pools are great. Surfing lesson was so much fun and the instructors are so helpful. I must mention Wulan who's one of the hosts in the restaurant who always met you with a smile, very helpful and we called her our Superstar.I would also like to mention the lady receptionist Josh who was also very helpful and always smiling.I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Merton because unfortunately late on Sunday night our plane was cancelled and fortunately our holiday company were brilliant in getting us a room at the Merton who even with the restaurant being shut provided us with a plated salad and a warm welcome .We can't thank the Merton enough for turning a frustrating experience into a more positive one.

1 st time staying at this hotel, I will be going again, the kids loved it, the pool and water slide was a big hit with them but what really made it for the kids was the kids disco, it was the highlight of the day for them, you could easily tell that the staff have put a lot of work in to it. There was a good choice of restaurants in the hotel and the food was good and well priced. All the staff were fantastic and were always welcoming and happy to help.

Our first time in Jersey and we stayed in one of the Durrell suites, the apartment was huge, with a large balcony and a sea view (we hadn't counted on that). The staff and service levels were fantastic, especially the lifeguards at the pool and the Kids Club team, we felt welcome at all times. The pool was ideal for younger kids, the slide was a highlight, and being able to take inflatables outside helped. The room was the high-point, we ended up eating in a lot as you couldn't beat the view from the balcony and the weather held out for most of the trip, the Co-op down the hill had more than enough for anyone self catering. We didn't use the restaurants on site, as St Helier is a 10 min walk away and had tons of choice. Fantastic stay and would come back.

The White House Hotel & Ship Restaurant is a charming country-style hotel located on its own car-free island off Guernsey. Surrounded by palm trees, the former country house offers bright rooms and cottages, a pool, and beautiful gardens where guests can enjoy croquet and afternoon tea. The hotel provides a sedate and laid-back atmosphere with extensive reception rooms for stormy days and an exquisite pool and lawn for summer evenings. The restaurant exudes old-fashioned formality while offering comfortable accommodations.

Quiet and peaceful in the hotel and the island. Cooking was top notch as always and the bar staff brought what I want when I wanted it. All was good, but there was a standout incident at checkout where I was almost double charged for the room I’d paid for, and the bill seemed way too high until I corrected them. Hope they can get this sorted for next time.

Beautiful island, beautiful hotel. But rather pricey to stay in rather basic but clean rooms. The White House pool furniture is nice but the cushions are very worn and grubby, being white. But none of this will stop me staying for the 4th time. The staff are lovely, and the whole island clean, albeit devoid of animal life other than birds, insects and a few rabbits. Where are the cows gone? Why not a few chickens? Also, the island is not really open for business until the end of May. 😊

Herm is a stunningly beautiful island and I would urge anyone in the area to visit. Having not stayed in Herm for several years and with fond memories of our last stay, booked the White House for a weekend. We had lunch at the Shell Beach cafe and were pleasantly surprised as this is now much improved. Had a great light lunch and even a beer as the cafe is now licensed. A small confusion between table service and ordering from the counter resulted in having to join the long queue just to pay. Staff are great but more thought needs to be given to process. Sadly, we were slightly disappointed by the hotel. Our first impression on checking in was good - the staff are lovely. The room, whilst clean and appearing to have been painted recently, suffers a little from a dated look not at all like a 4-star the hotel purports to be. Views from the window are still amazing but no net curtains so people outside can see into the room unless the blackout curtains are drawn. We opted for the Ship Inn to eat as the Conservatory restaurant in the hotel seems a bit stuffy with its dress code. The Ship used to have a traditional small pub feel but now has been stripped back to a dull corporate boringness with a carpet more at home in a dull, second-rate conference centre. The menu was pricey and limited. The food was not good. Really, you can get a better meal at Premier Inn (a budget travel hotel) without the high prices and lack of choice. The staff, once again, were lovely but gave the impression of this being their first time working in hospitality. At breakfast, we waited 35 minutes after ordering only to discover they had lost our order. And having to make your own toast at a 4-star hotel? Once again, a systems and process/management issues. We eventually got our breakfast after 50 minutes. At checkout we had been charged extra random items around £60 more than we owed. No apology from the manager who was standing behind me when querying this. Overall, our stay did not live up to our fond memories and we were left with a feeling of disappointment and regret when thinking of how great this place could be with better management, especially since the managers appear to outnumber the very friendly staff.

Hotel was lovely and great e-mail communication from Grace, prior to check in, which was great. The breakfast was delicious, in the Conservatory, and we had the most beautiful views which were not spoiled by the rain! We stayed in The Mermaid Cottage, which was very welcoming, wonderfully big room with lovely teas, coffees, hot chocolates and little biscuits waiting for us! Staff were nice but I kind of felt a vibe that we weren't the clientele they wanted to attract- I could have been wrong, was just a feeling, but to my understanding, there is nowhere else to stay if you want an overnight on Herm, short of camping.

Nestled between the vibrant capital of St Helier and Jersey airport, Hotel Cristina is a delightful retreat that offers stunning views over St Aubin's Bay. This modern seaside hotel features laid-back rooms that provide a cozy atmosphere for guests looking to unwind. With its outdoor heated pool, terrace bar, and on-site restaurant, it’s an ideal spot to relax after a day of exploring the island.
If you are looking for a room with a view, look no farther. The Cristina sits on a hill with a commanding view of the entire bay. Probably the best view on the island. Most of the rooms have balconies. Very quiet. We spend most of our evenings drinking wine and watching sunsets. The rooms are decently furnished with quality mattresses. If you don’t have a vehicle, there are a series of steps leading from the terrace, that will take you to the main road and the bus stop. It’s about a four-minute walk. The restaurant is also decent, with a somewhat limited menu. All in all, nothing to complain about. A Great place.

Just about to leave for the airport after a week in this gem of a hotel. Spotlessly clean, small but well appointed room looking over the bay of St Aubin. Balcony. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food excellent and bar well stocked. A walk up hill from the bus stop but not too long(5minutes) Would really like to return one day.

Absolutely love this hotel. Superb location with stunning views. Food, service and staff all excellent. Short pleasant walk down to the seafront. A great choice.

Smart hillside location ensures stunning views of St Aubin Bay from all rooms. All staff are very friendly & helpful. Well appointed rooms with seafacing balconies. Heated outdoor pool. Delicious food. 10 minutes walk to frequent bus route.

The hotel was clean and tidy, and the rooms were not large, but they were of a reasonable size. Breakfast was good, well cooked, with good choice. One thing I would add, ( a personal thing) fried eggs! Like most hotels the eggs were pre-cooked and not to my taste. The hotel had a good range of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic with beers wine and cocktails to order The jewel in the crown- the hotel staff, those lovely peope who served food, and drink with a smile and never looked tired, and were never impatient. But of all these, by far the nicest was Maurine, who serviced the rooms. She worked very hard, but she greeted us each morning with a lovely smile, and an enquiry about our plans for the day, and then bid us enjoy the day. Such a cheerful lady. I would recomend Hotel Cristina.

Lovely hotel, we had very nice sea view room. Very clean and great service. Restaurant staff very helpful. On top of steep hill, need a car unless you are hikers.

We loved this hotel! The views from our room were incredible and the service we had was exceptional! The team looked after us going above and beyond when we needed guidance on getting to places in Sorrento and giving excellence customer service when we were having breakfast and drinks there! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a beautifully decorated room which was such a thoughtful surprise. We highly recommend this hotel as it’s in a fantastic location for seeing beautiful views of Sorrento and the free shuttle into the town centre means you can enjoy the best of being in the centre whilst being away from it somewhere quieter when trying to rest for the next day! We had a wonderful holiday and the excellent team definitely made our experience! Will come back here next time we visit!

Great hotel, great staff… we had the best four days away. Perfectly located hotel for walking to the beach and to the two main towns St Helier and St Aubin which are both just under 30 mins walk away. The breakfast each morning was excellent and the restaurant food is also top notch. Highly recommended and can’t wait to visit again

The Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Jersey offers a modern and relaxed stay with stunning views of St Aubins Bay. The hotel features a health club with an indoor pool, a beauty salon, and a stylish restaurant, bar, and terrace overlooking the marina. The contemporary rooms are elegantly designed with town or sea views. Located in Saint Helier, it provides easy access to the city's attractions while offering elegant family rooms with complimentary WiFi and amenities for a comfortable stay.
We stopped here to enjoy some drinks during sunset on our visit to jersey. The hotel itself is situated in one of the most picturesque spots in St Helier’s, with stunning views of Elizabeth castle and the bay. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable for drinks, with our group of 8 just paying £56 for a round of mixed drinks. Overall a really enjoyable evening and fantastic spot to enjoy a drink or two in Jersey. Would definitely return.

A great location, and lovely hotel. The staff were all great too. We booked a junior suite, and unfortunately I was on the sofa bed. I say unfortunately because upon arrival it wasn't made up, and no bedding in the room to make up myself. it was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable and not enough pillows were provided. They also only provided 2 bath robes, slippers and towels despite knowing there would be 4 people, and despite asking, the robes and slippers didn't appear throughout our stay.

We stayed in a Panoramic Suite, the room was amazing, really spacious and comfortable. The room was clean, tidy, had 2 bathrooms, 2 large wide screen televisions, 2 fridges, a safe, all your usual tea, coffee, sugar, etc, but also wine and chocolates. The views were great, looking out over the marina and out to sea. The buffet breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Miguel, a young lad, he was funny. All in all, we loved it and will return. This hotel has just got it right 👍

Spent a relaxing week here. Room was a generous size and despite the hotel being busy it was quiet. All staff were very friendly and professional. Although the breakfast buffet was good it would have benefited from a selection of bread rolls.

A big modern hotel in the new waterfront area of St Helier. The walk to the city centre is not too long. Very friendly staff and good variety of services including the indoor pool and two saunas. Seaside room was spacious and had a nice view to the bay. Some tear and wear is already visible in the rooms. We enjoyed our stay a lot!
Anssi L — Google review
Fantastic location and very helpful staff. The layout and facilities are great but the gym was freezing with the AC on super low. The rooms were 4 star but the bathroom was hardly a 3. Very small and our basin got blocked 3 times in 2 days. Overall nice experience and I'd probably come back just because the service and food is good and the location is probably the best in St Helier.
Sandeep G — Google review
We came in here for a drink after an event. Theres a lovely outside terrace which is accessible to non-guests and a large inside bar which has air conditioning and plenty of seats. The service was quite slow for a busy restaurant/hotel. But we had a nice time.
Chloe D — Google review
Central areas are very nicely updated and decorated. Bedrooms are not. We booked a superior sea view room but on arrival they had allocated us a standard room and only had one of the 2 of us booked in for breakfast. They sorted the errors but they seemed to be hotel not travel agent issues. The bed was very comfortable but the walls needed a lick of paint, the furniture looked a bit worn and an under powered shower in a bath felt very outdated. Room has a fridge and each floor has a water cooler. You are given glass bottles which you can refill. This was a good and eco friendly facility. House keeping and "engineering" were helpful and fixed our curtains that were falling off the rails and the lights that didn't work. They were also prompt to unlock the safe which has been left inaccessible. I'd wrongly expected a coffee machine and bathrobes but there is a kettle! Sea view is lovely but be aware that having a seaview means room is over the hotel's terrace so if you open the windows it also means noise from below. Pool is nice and hotel gives towels to use there. Steam room and sauna were also very nice. Breakfast was good with a nice range of foods. Coffee machines seemed to be set to very weak coffee. Had to boost my regular americano with an additional esprssso to taste the coffee! Fresh fruit in abundance was much appreciated. Location of hotel is great for sight seeing as it's close to St Helier and also close to the bus station to get out and about sight seeing. Staff were friendly and helpful although reception staff always seemed busy so there was always a wait to speak to someone there.

The Somerville Hotel is a delightful country house retreat perched on a hillside, offering stunning views of the picturesque St. Aubin's Harbour. This charming hotel features plush accommodations that blend classic elegance with modern updates, particularly in its recently renovated rooms and public spaces. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool and dine al fresco on the spacious decked terrace while savoring delicious meals at Tides Restaurant, which boasts breathtaking sea vistas.
This is a lovely hotel and I’d certainly stay again. One of the best aspect is the incredible view you get from being high up on the hill, but if you’re arriving by any other means than a taxi to the door be prepared for a steep climb! Both during the day and night though the sea views and vista over the bay are lovely. Check in was really friendly with the member of staff and they were super helpful in offering advice on transport and nearby interests. My room was on the first floor and a real treat - unique cosy decor and super comfortable; it was a shame I only stayed for one night. The window could be opened properly and all the amenities you’d expect were present. The bathroom wasn’t quite as exceptional but was perfectly clean and decent enough for the size of the room. All the decor throughout the property is great and even sitting in the reception area is a delight. Fortunately it extends into the bar area and with the wonderful sea views it’s a great spot to relax with a drink. The staff working there are truly amazing and you’re made to feel instantly welcome and never kept waiting for anything. The same is true for the restaurant - great service and setting, and although the menu is a little pricey it’s worth it. Each dish is professionally served and presented amazingly, with the venison wellington being particularly memorable. For the level of service offered and brilliant room my single night’s stay was great value and I’ll definitely be staying again - highly recommended.

Nice hotel, easy to get to the village, but steep climb. Great views. Furniture in bed room very mixed, some old fashioned, some new, the eclectic mix not quite working. All staff friendly, reception especially helpful. Dining room staff, esp mornings, bit hit & miss. (If the staff were able to look after areas in dining room, rather than everyone everywhere, it would be better, then people would not be missed & left waiting.) Lovely evening meal, be specific with how you want your breakfast cooked, and it will be good!
Rh B — Google review
Good hotel with great service. A good choice of breakfast menu made with good produce. The room was spacious with a huge bed. It took a day or so to get used to the quite enormous slope to the room, as well as the corridors. The room was rather warm when we arrived, but once I turned the radiator off and opened the windows, it was pleasant. We could also leave the windows open all night as the hotel is in a quiet area. The only minor downside to the stay is that the hotel is situated halfway up a steep hill. With no car, the calves got a heck of a workout. But this is made up with a great view of St. Aubins bay.

Excellent choice in St Aubin with great views across the bay. Rooms spacious and great with a sea view. Tides restaurant serves great food and the breakfasts are excellent. The Voyager bar staff are attentive and make great cocktails. Outside pool heated and lovely to chill by.

This was our first time staying at the Somerville Hotel but it certainly won't be our last! The hotel is spotlessly clean and the atmosphere is very relaxed with friendly staff who are eager to make your stay enjoyable. Our room was quiet and well appointed. Only negative might be that the room safe is tiny so don't bring the family silver! Also, there is no air conditioning but a fan is provided. For us that wasn't a problem because we find that hotel air conditioning can often be noisy and difficult to control. Be aware that the hotel is set on a hill so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Having said that, we had no problems with either climb to the hotel and we are no spring chickens! The standard of food in the Somerville Hotel is superb and the afternoon tea is excellent value for money. Delighted that sourdough bread was available at breakfast along with many other local goodies such as Jersey yoghurt and Jersey butter (for the sourdough toast!). The hotel pool is also spotlessly clean and a decent size. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols. The hotel bar is also very pleasant with attentive and cheerful staff. An exceptional hotel with some exceptional staff and exceptional views. You won't be disappointed.

We live in Jersey and visited the hotel restaurant only. We had a Sunday lunch which was excellent and well presented. A little more vegetables, especially roast potatoes would have been welcome, but the lovely desserts more than made up for that! Staff were friendly and professional and very efficient. We had a great meal with a great seaview from high above St Aubin. Recommended.

The Best Western Royal Hotel offers individually decorated rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as a modern British restaurant and a bar. Situated near the seawater bathing pool at Havre des Pas, this hotel is within walking distance of St Helier's town center and provides easy access to bus routes for exploring the island. The Victorian gabled building features a variety of room types, including single and family rooms adorned with colorful drapes and bright prints.
Hotel located 0.3 miles away from the shops in St Helier. Beautiful hotel and we had a fabulous time. There was on site parking and we also used the pool and spa facilities at the sister hotel. Rooms were spotlessly clean and couldn't fault the hotel whatsoever. The shower in our room wasn't the best because of lack of pressure so this is why I haven't scored the room a 5. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel and place to stay.

Wonderful staff always smiling without exception. So helpful and any minor issues were addressed immediately. We were given a room upgrade and really enjoyed this experience. Unfortunately the shower was almost unusable due to the extremely poor water pressure. However there was a bath, and we were offered another room to use the shower. The excellent service, and happy staff made for a great stay at the Royal Hotel Jersey. I'm sorry I don't recall all the names but special thanks go to Charity, Jay, the hotel manager, and Maritza the reservations manager.

It's a nice old building. However, it's layout is bonkers. And we experienced massive noise issue. We were moved to a much better room. And they do listen to you. So if there is a problem. Say something. We didn't like the breakfast. It's just run of the mill, basically just catering food for the masses.

Nestled in the charming St. Peter Port, The Duke of Richmond Hotel is a stunning upscale retreat housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century building. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – Exceptional Service and Elegant Comfort Our experience at The Duke of Richmond Hotel was nothing short of excellent. Lovely hotel , friendly and efficient staff It's a bit of a walk up a sheepish hill but the view from the terrace was lovely and the area was quiet Only complaint is our ,"upgraded " room was just above the row of large flags on display on long poles above the hotel entrance. I had the most amazing experience here. The art deco is beautiful, the staff so friendly and polite. Breakfast was lovely - such a variety of choice and locally sourced produce. A really charming place in an excellent location. Guernsey is also very beautiful.
Amanda C — Google review
Excellent hotel in Saint Peter Port. The Channel Islands and Guernsey have been on my bucket list to visit for years, so I was very excited to stay for two nights at the Duke of Richmond in a junior suite. The room was spacious with a large balcony (that we unfortunately did not access during our stay due to the weather) overlooking the Victoria Tower. We were greeted warmly at the hotel and stored our luggage before check in so we could do a day trip to Sark. The hotel is located close to Saint Peter Port but, as others have noted, it is an uphill walk from the main shops and restaurants. This wasn’t too bad - we estimated about 15 minutes up from the harbor and 10 minutes down. It was also a cheap taxi ride from the harbor when we were tired or in a time pinch. The hotel is very close to the Candie Gardens and museum, which are well worth a visit. The location is quiet and the hotel is well decorated. Unfortunately, disaster struck the second day when our return ferry to Saint Malo was cancelled due to anticipated weather the next day. We had to quickly amend our travel plans and depart a day earlier than expected. I fully expected to lose our paid for night at the Duke of Richmond since we were departing late in the day (we received the cancellation notice at noon when we were on the ferry to Herm). However, the hotel went above and beyond all expectations when we told them of our travel changes and refunded one night, only charging us a 20 pound late checkout fee. This was truly exceptional and excellent service. Being from the United States, the Channel Islands are a bit of a hike for us; however, if we ever go back, we will stay at the Duke of Richmond!

Great resort with fantastic accommodation and very friendly helpful staff! The onsite restaurant is also good, with many food choices and reasonably priced. Amazing outdoor pool and of course trampoline and climbing Downsides With the airport being so close sometimes it feels like your an extra in Topgun. Indoor pool closed now which was really good for rainy days.

We took our kids & grandkids here for a half term break. Despite the weather not being that great the facilities easily make up for it. Plenty of really great activities for kids & adults alike. Indoor and outdoor pools were also very good. The restaurant is superb and the service staff are really friendly and patient. It is near the airport but the apartments we had were very sound proof and there are no night flights. I definitely recommend this place for extended families.

Came to Jersey to visit family. Les Ormes is in a great location, although we had a car we often used the bus. The lodge was great - clean and had everything we needed. We brought our dog and it was great for her too although we couldn't take her into the bar area which was a shame. Although we didn't use the facilities there looked like lots of things to keep the children entertained. It is very close to the airport and you do hear the planes but they are not that frequent and certainly didn't spoil our experience. Would definitely recommend.

Very accommodating owners/workers. It's a lovely place and not too loud, which is a plus over some other locations. There is a small store that opens 2x per day for essentials, which is extremely helpful especially if you don't drive. The bus is okay, but not always very reliable (but that's not the Campsite's fault). Cleanliness of the facilities were great, I don't think I saw one piece of rubbish on the floor and the bathrooms were kept spotless by hardworking cleaners. Only problem I have is that the showers are EXTREMELY low pressure and they leave you feeling not very clean after showering. I'd recommend they look at the water pressure because it is like pouring a small bottle of water on yourself. Also had quite a lot of issues pitching the tent, it's almost like there as a solid layer of gravel about 3/4 down of the length of the peg, so you have to go at an angle. But overall great owners and a great place. Would definitely return and thank you for your service whilst I was holidaying there!

We had the most wonderful stay at Rozel camping park. The owners are super friendly, we ordered pastries daily from their little shop & enjoyed the wonderful heated swimming pool. After not finding any pics of the showers/ toilets before arriving I was delighted when I arrived to see how nice they were - along with a laundry room with plugs & two hair dryers! There were many bird friends who visited for crumbs & lots of plans to admire going overhead. A wonderful stay & we hope to return in the future! Thankyou 🙂

I normally leave reviews to the end but I’m 3 days into my 2 week trip and I think it’s time. We arrived late on Thursday night, there was a road closure and we were lost. David actually took time out of his evening to come and meet us so as that we could follow him down dark lanes to the site. The staff are super friendly, the site is immaculate and laid out beautifully. There is a games room and a shop with lovely stuff. I enjoy rock climbing and Jersey doesn’t disappoint, when out yesterday some of my equipment got covered in sea water. David saved me again with a can of GT 85 🙂👍. So I’m sitting here now on the grass relaxing with a coffee and my ropes and cams drying in the breeze. Absolute five star campsite I would recommend to all and we would certainly return 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Moulin Huet Bay is a stunning sandy beach located on the south coast of Guernsey. It offers clear blue waters and is perfect for swimming and rock-pooling. The bay was famously captured in 15 paintings by the Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir during his visit to Guernsey in 1883. The area boasts extraordinary turquoise waters, resembling those of the Caribbean, and provides breathtaking views of the pea stacks.

Fab setting with views of moulin huet bay. Very busy but handled it well, waited about 5 minutes for our order. Now licensed and enjoyed a pint with our crab sandwiches. Note crab sandwich comes as sourdough toast and jar of crab and pot of mayo, for you to assemble. Very tasty

A lovely small beach split in two sides. One with more sand and an easier way to get in to the see and the other with more rock and therefore rock pools and places to explore. It has a steep approach from the car park and a lovely tea room (which closes at 16.30 sharp) on the way down.

I love this place. It's a steep climb back up from the beach so not for the faint of heart but its definitely worth it. The water is always a little warmer here and it's very secluded so often get the beach to yourself. But beware of the tide as if you're on the beach you will get trapped when it starts coming in. No wonder Renoir was such a fan!

Just back from a great weekend at La Haule Manor. Lovely high ceiling room with Two Large windows. Huge bed and lovely bathroom (Room 6) Had our return flight on Sunday cancelled, as we're all flights from Jersey, and they booked us in for one more night. Great Breakfast and Two cosy bars for your nightcap drinks.

Our stay at La Haule Manor was an absolute delight. We were thoroughly impressed by the impeccable service and luxurious amenities offered. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm hospitality, ensuring every detail of our stay was flawless. The elegantly decorated room provided breathtaking views (room 15) , plush bedding, and great facilities (including “The Slip” that catered to both comfort and convenience.) The attention to detail, from the immaculate cleanliness to the personalized touches, truly set this hotel apart.

Rooms are huge and tastefully decorated. Note that there seemed to be no lift to help with luggage in the part of the hotel we were staying in at least. No Aircon for hot evenings however windows open wide. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Pool looked well kept and private.

Without doubt one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is superb overlooking the beach and St Aubins Fort. There's lots of space outside to sit, relax and enjoy the view as well as an outdoor swimming pool and Bar. There are 2 very nice bars inside and a luxurious TV lounge which also has various board and card games available. Plenty of choice for breakfast using high quality ingredients and served in a room with an excellent Seaview. The rooms are excellently decorated and just like everywhere else in an around the hotel are spotlessly clean. It's only a few minutes drive or taxi from the airport which is also very accessible by local buses which stop right outside the hotel. There is a very frequent bus service from the hotel to St Hellier bus station where all Jersey buses start and end so it's extremely easy to explore the Island from here and get to anywhere you want to go by bus. Dinner is served in the Beach restaurant bang opposite and again all the food is excellent and cooked using only high quality ingredients while you sit and admire the superb views of the Jersey Coast. The biggest praise however has to go to the staff. The hotel is family owned and definitely has a family feel about it and the hotel staff with no exception at all were all extremely helpful, friendly, very easy to talk to and made us feel extremely welcome. They all clearly enjoy working there and this shows and helps to give the hotel such a happy vibe. There really isn't anything at all to not like about La Haule Manor

A fantastic hotel, that retains an old world charm, with the most helpful of staff, the location was special, with a 10 minute walk to St Aubin, where the restaurants are fantastic. All bathrobes, are sized for everyone, so can be used. The hotels eatery Slip, provides homemade flavoursome food, that has great views.

Another good visit to La Haule Manor Hotel. Enjoyed the personable hospitality. The renovated heated swimming pool is a draw card. Views from the room of the bay were as breathtaking as ever. Perfect location.

I recently stayed in one of the freshly renovated self-catering apartments. The apartment was gorgeous and well-sized with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It's right next door to an excellent farm shop, perfect for rustling up delicious meals with fresh local produce. The location is unbeatable: seconds from the beach and well served by bus and cycle routes. I loved the combination of the privacy of the apartment with the attentive, 5-star service of the hotel staff. Highly recommended!

The Jersey War Tunnels, an underground complex built by the Germans during World War II, have been transformed into a poignant museum showcasing the island's experience under Nazi occupation. The tunnels, stretching over 1km and dug deep into the hillside by slave laborers, offer interactive exhibits, wartime footage, and displays of household objects that depict the British government's decision not to defend the Channel Islands and the privations suffered by locals.
Very interesting and educative history for all of those who are interested in knowing the world war 2. Young children do not enjoy the tour. Breath taking history and an hour flies by if you are reading most of the displays.
Tt N — Google review
A very thought provoking place to visit. Take the time to read the boards and stories of the individuals that lived through the experience it’s well worth it or pay the extra £4.50 for the audio tour. It’s amazing to read just what people went through and how different people had very different experiences of the German occupation. Parking is free and onsite but not huge. It is cooler when in the tunnels but I would t say it’s cold. Definitely a must visit when on the island.
Lee H — Google review
I'm very interested in this period of history and can honestly say that this is the best attraction for World War II I have been to. Highly recommend using the audio guide the information is interesting and they captured so many perspective and elements of the war. I had no understandingof what it would have been like to live on an occupied island that hasn't actually been invaded, and I almost feel like I was there. A huge credit to the island past and present.

A very well laid out and comprehensive museum dedicated to the WWII German occupation of Jersey. So much to see and learn about the unique history of these events. I hsd previously visited the underground hospital in Guernsey which was similar in layout but fare more bare and original - This has been decorated and converted properly into a museum, and is far less damp! It is however a bit cold and the air very dry due to dehumidifiers running constantly. The gift shop is very good and well stocked too, with a decent cafe. A must-do stop for any visitor to Jersey.
Stan S — Google review
A must visit. A fascinating and moving experience depicting life in the Channel Islands during the war. To enjoy this experience I suggest allow yourselves 2 to 2.5 hours when you visit.
Marian M — Google review
Staff were really nice, even though young, they were knowledgeable and friendly. The museum itself was very interesting, it was very good to go through the timeline of the war through the tunnel, there was lots interesting exhibitions and told a good story, there was a couple of great immersive exhibits as well so it was not all reading so can be good for children and it wasn't too long.
M — Google review
I’ve visited this museum / attraction several times over many years and it seems to get better each time. Some of the materials presented are very thought provoking and overall you get an interesting insight into what German occupation was like for the islanders during the war. The fate of some of the islanders who were deported and the treatment of the prisoners forced to build the tunnels is heartbreaking.

Historical landmark
Elizabeth Castle is a historic Tudor fortress located off the coast of Saint Helier. Originally built in 1595, it served as the official residence for Jersey's governors and has witnessed significant military action throughout its history. The castle was named after Queen Elizabeth I by Sir Walter Raleigh and has undergone various modifications over the centuries. Visitors can access the castle via a causeway walk during low tide or by wading vehicle ferries during high tide.
This is a fantastic historic castle with plenty to see. We took the amphibious ferry across the causeway out and return journey. This was worth the extra few pounds. Lots of interesting stuff to see in and around the castle. The highlight was the living history show from the two guys, gunner and musket man who enlisted /press ganged the unwilling visitors. This was both educational and hilarious. Nice little cafe there also.
Malc P — Google review
I came here with my scout trip on our summer camp, and it was one of the highlights of said camp! I loved being able to see a demonstration of a musket being fired, and the volunteers were very friendly and helpful, with loads of knowledge to share. The museum of the development of warfare, from early cannons to the modern nuclear weapons was also very interesting, the weapons were very cool and there was lots of information for every weapon and its use The museum provided an almost humbling perspective on how far we have come in our abilities to kill eachother in grander and grander scales Being able to enter the bunkers and explore the castle at my own will was a very enjoyable experience Walking to and from the castle is also something I would recommend, though you need to keep an eye on those tides I think its about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the mainland, about a kilometre
Imogen N — Google review
Make sure you give your self plenty of time to visit. To start the adventure to the castle you get on a amphibious truck. Castle is a fantastic place to visit, with a lot of history from across hundreds of years, lots to see plus lots of steps, but after all that climbing there is a lovely little cafe to refuel. We had a fantastic time exploring
Colin C — Google review
A nice day visit, good for families. Very intersting and unique history to explore. Some exhibits to intrigue you but its mostly the castle and locstion itself which are the highlights. There is a regular bus/ferry or its a 15 min walk at low tides. I managed to walk both there and back in the low tide window.
Stan S — Google review
A very interesting “castle” - much more there than I expected. The castle itself is really interesting - how it was altered and expanded, including in WW2 - and the views back to St Helier and around St Aubin’s Bay were great. Access either by causeway at low tide (watch for slippery seaweed) or by amphibious “ferry”. Good cafe with great garden area for seating.
Richard E — Google review
Where else can you ride an amphibious lorry/boat across the sea to a C16th castle that has been developed and rebuilt all the way through to the German Occupation in WWII? Allow a good 2-3 hours (or more if you are a castle buff). The potted histories from the "Master Gunner" are excellent and well worth listening too. The little cafe has all the basics but make sure you take your food up the stairs to the small raised garden: a lovely setting.
Andrew P — Google review
Amazing 🤩 for less than £19.00 it is well worth it. You can spend hours here. We visited in October when the weather was still nice and enjoined every minute 👍. When you get your tickets it is around 1 km walk to the castle 🏰. You can use the “ferry” but we preferred to walk on the beach. Also the coffee place is very good ☕️.
Pavel S — Google review
The castle was amazing! You had the choice to either go on a tour or explore the castle yourself. You could even go into old German WW2 bunker! The cafe and toilets were nice too.

The Farmhouse Hotel and Restaurant is a family-run boutique hotel that seamlessly blends country house character with contemporary comfort and design. This is a beautiful place. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The photos do not do the Farmhouse justice. We were in the quiter indoor area for coffee and mini mince pies came for free. Such a lovely atmosphere. It was Christmas time and staff had beautifully dressed the hotel public areas. Well worth a visit.

The Farmhouse is a luxurious country hotel that offers a peaceful rural setting, a dream for any wedding photographer looking for open spaces and rustic charm. The property is surrounded by green fields and gardens, giving me ample room to capture romantic couple portraits against natural backdrops (I’ve taken lovely shots of brides and grooms under the pergolas). One great feature is that The Farmhouse can host outdoor ceremonies or marquee receptions on its lawn, which means wedding photography at The Farmhouse in Guernsey can include everything from sunlit aisle shots to atmospheric tent lighting after dark. The building itself has classic stonework and a cozy, elegant interior; I especially appreciate the stylish mix of modern and farmhouse decor inside, which photographs beautifully during dinner and dancing. The staff’s experience with weddings shows, timelines run smoothly, and I always have a chance to whisk the couple away for golden-hour photos in that soft country sunset. It’s an idyllic venue that consistently yields warm, storybook images.

Horrible stay here. First impressions I thought, ok this is nice. It’s NOT. My room was super noisy above the bar area, had to move, some of the staff members were openly talking about a guest who had complained about their meal, they said all of this within my earshot. No attempt to be discreet at all. All you hear is traffic out of the terrible cheap windows all night. Not a great sleep due to this. Staff couldn’t really care less about anything. This is an awful hotel to stay in, I’d do the premier inn anyway instead of this. Carpet was filthy near bed, shower stank of mould, cups were dirty for tea and coffee in the room. The prices they charge is shocking for this hovel.
Sunshine — Google review
I really do not know why this is a 4 star hotel, it really is not. Music was playing 7:30 until 22:00 which is fine but you should not hear this in the rooms themselves, and ambient warbling of some cover artist gets sickening after a while. Food was OK but not worth the price, I agree with some of the reviews about this now. Hot water, no matter how long we ran the shower in the morning nothing hot came out, same for the sink, the bath did get warm in the end but by that time we just wanted to leave! Rooms - beds uncomfortable just because you have duck feather pillows it does not mean your luxury! There was a crack in the wall, the towel rain has been bodged back up on the wall as incorrect fittings had been installed, and the TV mount was a bodge of cables - it looked like nobody has put any pride in anything. The only positive thing I can say which I must make note of if the woman on the main desk and the woman who was in the breakfast room had impeccable service, thank you both.
B M — Google review
Couldn't fault any element of our two day stay here. Room was spacious, very comfy beds, lovely bathroom and the whole room was spotless. All the staff were fantastic, very welcoming and were happy to help with anything we needed. Breakfast selection is really good and freshly cooked. Didn't have an evening meal. Hamptonne Country Life Museum offers a unique experience of rural Jersey life with its historic home, farm, and playground. Visitors can explore various farm buildings and farmhouses from different periods in history while costumed characters re-enact traditional activities like spinning and cider making. The museum also features a variety of animals including jersey calves, sheep, pigs, rabbits, and chickens with their chicks. The garden and traditional orchard provide insight into how people lived and sustained themselves.
Surprisingly enjoyable visit. Didn't know what to expect but we caught the bus from St Helier & walked down the small lanes to the farm where we were welcomed & immediately offered a guided tour. First stop was the cider barn with complimentary tasting. Then a tour of the farm buildings showing life through the centuries. Dave, the brilliant guide was interesting & entertaining. A few farm animals to see, chickens to feed & on our visit several week old chickens to ooh & aaah over ❤️. The hard working staff are volunteers & you can tell they are very proud of their museum. There is even a lovely lady showing you how to make bonnets. Sadly we didn't have time to visit the tea room as the buses only run once an hour. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

Saumarez Park is a delightful gem in Guernsey, renowned for its expansive green spaces and stunning flora, including magnificent magnolia trees and vibrant camellias. As the largest public park on the island, it offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature's beauty while enjoying various amenities. The Victorian walled garden is a highlight, often hosting enchanting outdoor recitals during the summer months.
What a beautiful place and very well kept, the cafe is a must visit
M D — Google review
Some people say there's not a lot to do here, and that's possibly true for some folks, but if you're after a way to spend a relaxing hour or so, it's pretty spot on. Apart from the ubiquitous children's playground and duck pound, there's a Guernsey museum and cafe for the adults. It's great for dogs, and you can walk around the park boundary in about 20 minutes. The main complaint I have as an islander is that the government hasn't kept up with the park's maintenance for a number of years now, so parts of it are overgrown and tatty. A shame, as it used to be very well maintained. It looks best in the summer, if you can make it then.
Glyn D — Google review
Lovely park and very well maintained. Loads of scenic views and very good for some quite time and the ponds are well looked after. Even tourists must visit place. Only problem is bus availability. There are no proper bus stops in guernsey in the first place and it is quite hard to reach or go back from here. There is a cafe in the park with loads of food options and drinks. But if you don’t want to spend too much money i suggest to take your own lunch or packed food as i find it a bit expensive but food is tasty though it’s just personal preference.

A sympathetically restored farm house, with many an interesting story.

Very disappointed with garden conditions. Service in cafe was overwhelmed and slow.

Nice museum in a very nice park. Garden of cafe was good and very child friendly.

Lovely museum, the exhibits are fantastic, an interesting walk through of an old Guernsey farm, including antique fine clothing as well as old farm equipment, and tools for different trades

What a lovely day out. Loads to see. Really well laid out and designed around the animals. Gerald Durrell story showcased. Plenty of parking. Cafe reasonably priced. Great gift shop . Definitely recommend this as a place to visit.

Best glamping experience ever! Host Adam is the GOAT… Unlimited access to the zoo is a great perk. Will come back for sure.

We visited the zoo, there was a direct bus that went straight to the zoo which was great. The animals all looked well and happy, we listened to the talk given by 1 of the keepers of the orangutan's and gorillas and she was so informative about the orangutan's they have there it was really interesting. We saw some giant otters being fed also. There was plenty to see and walk around and a cafe on sight, plus tables around for you to take your own food/refreshments. This was not an hotel.

Highly recommended! The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Comfy bed. Plenty of space. Falling asleep while listening to the animals is amazing!

Fantastic place to visit for all the family. Well maintained and a lovely bunch of Volunteers who help to keep the place looking amazing 😍 We enjoyed a full day looking at so many areas of the Zoo. So much to see and ease to get around. Lots of animals to see. I highly recommend anyone to visit, well worth the entrance fee.🤩

Fantastic wee afternoon out while in Jersey. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and they love answering questions and talking about their animals, sharing things about them. Like Luna the lovely Livingstone bat, who has a wee bit of a cheeky, but adorable character.

What a wonderful place. The conservation programme is inspirational and it's lovely to see the animals thriving and preventing extinction in some species. There is a part of it that tells the story of Gerald Durrell which is very interesting. We spent a peaceful afternoon wandering round various enclosures. There is a very good cafeteria, the staff are pleasant. All in all a lovely experience.
