The place and the presentation of the food was great, but the taste wasn’t there. We ordered the Poke Bowls. They were out of tofu which was ok because we got some pea protein instead. But, the bowls were mostly just rice. Very little of the things you actually want. And the avocado was brown and tasted disgusting. Didn’t understand why they served that to us. More of the good stuff + good avocado and it would have been a 5-star from me.

Delicious acai bowl but disappointing they were out of peanut butter and almond milk. It seems a common problem based on other reviews. Service was exceptional though and I did enjoy what I had!

Go-to place for açaí bowls in Biarritz, the açaí never disappointed. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is relaxed. The portions are well sized. I especially like the fresh fruits they choose for toppings plus the cappuccino taste + design.

Best smoothies in Biarritz. We also got the charcoal bliss balls and tried their vegan banana bread. We came back many time over the course of our trip. The staff are friendly, can speak English and we're even open to making a bespoke smoothie for us. I highly recommend this place. Chill vibes and friendly staff. Love it.

Service was great and quick. A bit pricey but that's expected in a touristic area. The highlight of our lunch was the Grilled Cheese with Gaspacho (French spelling), which was essentially a Pancake sandwich with ham and cheese, and the gaspacho was made with the local pepper (Piment d'Espelette) which gave it a unique, spectacular flavor with just a bit of a kick. They seem to rotate the menu quite often, so hopefully they will still have throughout this summer, if anybody is interested. The carrot, orange and lemon juice was also pretty good.

the kitchen opens at 9:30, i came in at around that time and got seated immediately. very fast and friendly service. the salad on the side had a very tasty vinegar dressing, scrambled eggs and the truite were excellent too. a generous amount of cream cheese. the toast was not very fresh but i personally didn’t mind it. great choice of alternative milk. the cappuccino was not extraordinary though i still enjoyed it

We had to wait about 5 mins for a table but it was worth it. We had brunch and the food, fruit & veg juices and coffee were all delicious. We shared a raspberry tart and it was yummy. I would definitely come here again. The staff were also friendly.

Coffee was delicious the cookie terrible. I don’t know how they looked so good on the counter and tasted so terrible. It was like the dough was a bit raw, but not delicious like raw cookie dough, it had a grainy not so nice texture to it.

This bar would be perfect, if they showed the footie, rather than the rugby, on a saturday, but nothing is perfect. Lovely friendly staff, 15 types of beer, music, food and a fantastic location! La Tireuse is what Biarritz used to be, before it became too greedy, too rich!

This is a bar restaurant which has 20 different types of beers to choose from on screens over the main bar, it also serves food which was all good and very nice good staff and great music and not too loud, great place to eat within a bar atmosphere.

I have loved this place from day 1. Being back here after so many years and seeing the changes that were made only brought back so many great memories. The place is even better and the food and drinks menu is on point. The view is still one of the best views you can find in the area. I definitely recommend this place any time during the day ❤️

We had a great lunch experience at Le Café du Commerce in Biarritz. The place was very busy when we arrived — we had to wait around 30 minutes for a table, but we didn’t mind at all since we really wanted to try it. The food was tasty and well-prepared, and the overall atmosphere was lively and authentic. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a very good experience and we’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in Biarritz!

My wife & I had a wonderful meal here sept 2025. We had the beef rib for 2. Wow it was cooked to perfection the meat was melt in the mouth delicious. We had the pleasure of being served by Edouard & Tom who both looked after us, serving us drinks until late. Thanks very much you guys we had a brilliant night.

Mixed experiences. We were here twice. Once for an afternoon nibble and drinks. The mixed meat/cheese board was perfect. The unusual cocktails I had were great too. Service good. Then one night we went for dinner. The menu was not grabbing me, so I went for the risotto special. It was ok. Not impressed that the waste vein was not removed from the prawns, when the WERE peeled. Difficult to do it yourself in the dish it was served in. If you eat it, it's sandy, dirty and not nice. Is this standard protocol in Biarritz? The sauteed calamari were very good 😊 The staff were attentive and helpful.

Great meal by the window overlooking the crowds watching the rugby opposite. Waiter was Alexanda. I had the devlied eggs, mango tuna tartar, croquette assortment and burrata with artisan tomatoes. Half a bottle of Sancerre from the Loire valley to wash it all down. Excellent service, perfect location. And the menus reads very well. A 10 from me.

We had a really excellent meal here during our family holiday. Very friendly staff and excellent and reasonably priced food. Owner was a rugby fan and we had some good fun discussing old world cups. Really nice experience and we would highly recommend for good food and excellent hosting.

We had our first dinner in Biarritz in this restaurant, and picked it because it promised to serve the best Seviche. Service was impeccable - polite, fast, attentive. A disappointment for us personally was Seviche starters. First of all, they were too expensive (12-14€), second of all, the Peruvian Seviche lacked of taste. The main dish was tasty though, both fish and chicken, we especially liked rice with beans.

Presentation was mixed. All in all ok with a, lot of room for improvement. The chocolate mousse presentation definitely needs more love. Re using your knifes and fork at 20+ euros à plate à little naughty... Exécution Felt extremely casual. Think this is what they aim for however then the food and presentation need to shine this was too casual. Menus have torn pages in some cases and service did not always follow up. Tried to order more drinks twice. Hope this improves as the potential is there.

Great interieur, good choice of meals. Ceviche was really good, pulpo and fish was okay, but not outstanding (price / taste). Unfortunately service was quite poor - only 1-4 tables were occupied and still no one took care of our empty glasses etc.

Agree with another one of the reviews: the Peruvian ceviche was totally flavorless and felt like it was missing an ingredient. The Nikkei was very good. Overall not an essential stop for ceviche lovers, but not bad.

Being in Biarritz for holidays, we stumbled upon Haragia on Google Maps and was pleasantly surprised by this small hidden gem for true carnivores. The staff is incredibly friendly, the menu is efficient and straight to the point, all about high-quality meat. We started with the chorizo, followed by a perfectly cooked Côte de Galice, served with a refreshing salad and crisp homemade fries. Ended on a high note with a delicious lemon verrine for dessert. The wine list is excellent, offering great pairings. Overall, everything was fresh, flavorful, and fairly priced. Top-notch hospitality. Definitely recommend. PS : The restaurant is very tiny, they do two services so it’s better to book in advance. However, we walked in after 10pm and were immediately seated.

We live locally, and I don't know how we have missed out on this place for so long! The chef and server were great, and they really explained the different cuts of cote de boef they had to offer us. They were knowledgable about their wine list and set such a fun vibe in the little restaurant. The meat was perfectly cooked, the house fries were salty and crisp, and the salad was nice and fresh. The server heard me mention it was my husband's birthday and even put a little candle in our dessert, so thoughtful! Would recommend it to locals and travellers, especially if you want a local Pays Basque experience and great products.

The food is delicious! BUT Dirty and sticky tables, I brought a small plate with crumbs, the waitress just reached into my plate with her finger and removed the crumbs of old food, the toilet is dirty and terrible (men's and women's toilets are together and in front of you a man is peeing next to you in the bidet, so-so spectacle)! For dinner we paid 98€ for 2 people, it seemed expensive for this place, unfortunately the service was so-so!

I have to say the grilled meals are below the average level of pub food in England, the steak is burned and the meat quality is just okay. BTW, it’s a little bit overpriced versus the food quality.

The food was very fresh, delicious and generous in serving. Excellent wines. The staff were great and a minor variation request was easily accommodated. The restaurant was packed by 8pm and had a great atmosphere. Would easily recommend!

What a gem! Loved everything, superb fun service and variety menu. I am vegetarian and my husband loves meat and we both loved the food. I have never eaten anything like this romain lettuce grilled with pinuts and vinegarete. My husband said the steak melted in this mouth and wine was delicious. We didn't have a space for dessert but will be back for sure. Love it.

Went there a couple days ago and everything was nice until the waiter brought us completely mismatched glasses for the same wine which when asked were promptly switched but that wasn’t that big of a deal. When they brought us the appetizers everything was nice but the salad with avocado and crab where the crab was spoiled and gave me food poisoning. The steak was mediocre but before we had gotten a burger there which was really great and so was the chocolate crème brûlée that I got the same night as food poisoning :(

This nice bistro is a delight. We had breakfast one day and decided to go back for diner. Breakfast was simpel but good. Diner was really nice. Beautiful plates, very tasty and fresh local produce. I have been spending part of my summers in Biarritz for the last 46 years and have been to Bistrot du Haou many, many times with family and friends. The food is always great and the service attentive and correct. Highly recommend.

The place itself is magnificent and holds lots of charm on its own. We had 3 different dishes and 2 desserts. Nothing strikes my mind that I have to go back again and they are all quite all right. The risotto made with celery is quite creative though.

Beautiful views. Fantastic food (I had the lobster pasta both nights). Only complaint I have is that it was rather hard to get the attention of the staff to order a glass of wine. Both nights I was here I ended up with 1 glass and never had the opportunity to order another due to the waitresses / sommelier attending to other guests.

Great location on La Grande Plage beach in Biarritz, set higher up of the promenade giving better views of the sea than Cafe Dodin further along the beach. Since the pandemic there is no longer a menu brought to the table, there is a QR code on each table to scan however they still take the orders in person. They now open from around 9am and let you stay to watch the sunset however start removing the tables close to dusk. Note it’s a much reduced food menu than before.

Just been shouted at for asking for the bill for the 4th time, they told me it’s acceptable to ask up to 7 before getting a response. First argumentative confrontation my 10yo daughter has ever witnessed. Won’t be going back, shame it was a regular place for us to have breakfast and lunch.

This was a fantastic sushi experience. From the stunning menu, the lovely atmosphere, the gorgeous presentation all the way to the great service. And the dishes? Sensational! We come from the U.S. and this was the best sushi the 5 of us (2 adults and 3 older teens) ever had. Absolutely genius flavor pairings. And the price was incredibly fair. We ate a ton and didn’t break the bank. We will definitely be back! Merci!

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in France. The food isn’t traditional French food, so if that’s what you’re looking for don’t eat here. The food is French inspired but mixed with cultures from across the globe. We started with the ravioli which was savory and delicious. For a main course I had the steak and my partner a tuna special. The steak was cooked blue, it was really tasty with an excellent sauce. The tuna was extremely fresh and tasted like it had been caught less than 24 hours prior. If you’re in the area I highly recommend a visit. Unlike most restaurants in the area it’s not a tourist cafe looking to take your money and give you mediocre food. We also went here on a food tour and had excellent baos here.

We had an amazing lunch at Epoq. Service was great and fast. The cocktail was delicious. Now the food. It was amazing. The produces were obviously well picked, and everything we picked was delightful, from start to finish. One of the best lunch I did this year.

We had a great time at Epoq !! Food was beyond good, high quality produce and amazing/intresting flavours !! The anchovy tart especially stood out. Had an absolutely amazing experience at EPOQ. The service was fantastic as our waiter helped us to translate every single dish on the menu and make the right choice. The cocktails are very creative and the food was very well balanced - the octopus and the plate of seasonal vegetables were the best ones. Make sure you make a reservation - we came 30 min after they opened and were able to get the last table upstairs. There is also a bar section downstairs but it has a different menu more of the bar snacks and drinks. For dinning out in Biarritz for dinner that is not too touristy but hype and creative EPOQ is the right place to come. Our plan is to come back for lunch next time.

I used to like this place.... Until today. We - gay couple - asked politely to be seated instead of just taking the free table with sea view. The waiter told us the seaside table was "reserved" (clearly a lie: there was no "reserved" sign and there were dirty glasses so people had just vacated the table) and put us at a table in the shade away from the view. Two minutes later a straight couple just strolled up, took the seaside table without asking and the waiter cleaned the table without remarks, gave them a menu and that was that. So we left - don't want to be treated like second rate citizens.....

Nice terrace and its possible to get a table w/o reservation in high season. Service could be better. Food is well executed, wont blow you away. Carlsberg draft is a plus.

Pretty average, food is average, drinks are ok, service is average although they are nice. I am sure there are better places in Biarritz, we went because we had to kill time before a flight.

I hate leaving a bad review but was not the best experience unfortunately. My eggs Benedict came out cold (was unsure if this was supposed to be the case as it was served with salad and cucumber but cold bacon was not a vibe). We would have given feedback to the staff however found it very difficult to get anyone’s attention even though it wasn’t very busy. Took ages for someone to take our order too :( In saying that, the pancakes we ordered came out hot and were tasty. Hopefully they were just having an off day as other reviews seem good.

You can build your bowl exactly how you like it, which is great. The ingredients taste fresh, and the vibe is laid-back with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. But here’s the downside: portion sizes. At €12.90 (small) and €14.90 (large), you expect a bit more substance. Even the large bowl felt underwhelming in size. For me, the price-to-portion ratio tips the scale the wrong way, which unfortunately overshadows an otherwise solid experience.

Friendly atmosphere, the staff were very kind. The big bowl seemed to us like a medium size and the salmon which we usually order raw at other poke bowl places was smoked instead. Everything was great though, food was fresh and delicious! :)

We went here once a month or maybe more. One of our favorite brunch restaurants in Biarritz. The food is so delicious and fresh made from salty to sweet treats. The coffee is so good too. One thing to keep in mind. It's a small family-run restaurant. They do what they can do to serve the customer. There are no reservations and yes! you have to come and ask for the spot to eat in and sometimes there will be a long wait (at least one hour and I do wait so many times) but believe me it's worth the wait. But if you have no time, coffee to go and some pastries will be a good choice.

Surely a must visit! The food was incredible and the place has lots of character. Owner was lovely too. They buy their ingredients from the local markets and you can really taste the difference!
