Hôtel de Silhouette is a stylish boutique hotel located in the heart of central Biarritz, just steps away from Les Halles market. This charming family-run hotel offers 20 rooms, each uniquely decorated with contemporary touches and some featuring balconies overlooking the pretty garden. The hotel's modern restaurant, bar, and a large shaded courtyard garden provide an elegant setting for dining and relaxation.
A really good experience. The hotel is located até the city center and even if the roads are closed they help you to manage to get there. The staff was friendly and they speak properly Spanish and English. The decoration is from another world, modern and really really classy. The room was nice, with the proper size, and comfortable. We only had breakfast there and we enjoyed it, nice selection of fresh food.

I’m usually hesitant to leave reviews for exceptional hotels because part of me wants to keep them a secret. But in this case, I have to give credit where it is due. Everything about this hotel was fantastic: the room, the incredibly helpful and friendly front desk staff, and the delicious breakfast. The location is perfect, right in town and just a short walk to the beach and other Biarritz highlights. Parking is also available for 25 euros per night.
Levi D — Google review
We had a lovely 2 nights here. Hotel is perfectly placed in the centre. Staff were excellent and very genuine. Ate here as well. Food was great. There’s a lovely garden around the back with shade and a nice escape from the busy streets. This hotel has safe, secure, gated car parking. Perfect if you fuss like me with where the car stays also 😊
Chris P — Google review
We enjoyed our stopover in Biarritz, and Hotel Silhouette is in an ideal location, with secure on-site parking. The room was spacious, and spotless with nice balcony overlooking the town. The staff were lovely and thanks again to the cleaners who found my wife’s Kindle before we were out of town.
Mark W — Google review
We stayed at Le Silhouette during peak summer in one of the new suites across from the main hotel. Spacious, spotless, and filled with thoughtful touches like Ortigia soaps, palm-leaf ceiling fans, and waterfall showers. The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of town, yet discreet and blissfully quiet at night. The garden is a dream: a laid-back French countryside feel, occasionally hosting live art and music. Everything is walkable, the staff are warm, and the whole place has a rare mix of energy and calm that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend (though part of me wants to gate keep it).

Good hotel located right in the city center, surrounded by cafes, shops, and a food market. Despite the bustling surroundings, our room was quiet, and it even had a terrace where I could do yoga thanks to the provided yoga mat. Additionally, the room came equipped with a Dyson hair dryer, which was really convenient after my surfing classes for drying my hair. The hotel is within walking distance to both the beach and the main attractions. They also have a lovely courtyard where we had breakfast.
Olga N — Google review
A fantastic, homely and stylish hotel right in the centre of town. Service was excellent, in particular from Thomas, who couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. We’ll be back!
Joe S — Google review
After making a booking, we contacted the hotel several times with questions about room amenities and nearby restaurants and attractions. We always received a prompt, friendly response. Located only 20 minutes from the airport, this discreet hotel is right in the heart of town near loads of shops, bars restaurants and the local market and a short stroll to the beach and great view points. A warm welcome and a speedy checkin. A modern, clean, and quirky hotel with top-notch gadgets from a dyson hairdryer, smeg kettle, marshall speakers, and Ortigia toiletries. Beautiful gardens and friendly helpful staff who always welcomed you home. A faultless stay and a definite first choice for a return trip.

2Hôtel du Palais Biarritz - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Resort hotel
The Hôtel du Palais Biarritz - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is a luxurious retreat with a rich history dating back to the 1850s. Originally built for Empress Eugenie, it now stands as a lavish beach hotel offering opulent rooms, dining with stunning sea views, and a lavish spa. The palace has been restored to its imperial glamour and is now the heart of the resort that grew around it.
We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel du Palais in mid-July. We had a lovely time. Dinner one night on the terrace, breakfast each morning, drinks by the pool, and room service for lunch one day. The hotel’s restaurants were very accommodating of allergies and the concierge even called up a restaurant on our behalf to confirm they could manage with our allergies. Staff was attentive and friendly. They tended to our room quickly each time we left, which exemplified the top notch service we received throughout our stay. Would highly recommend others make the trip to Biarritz just to stay in this hotel.

What a special experience. We had Brunch on Sunday and what a fantastic experience. We were greeted and served by a wonderful team and the food was outstanding. Carla, Romain, Amory and M Griffon were the members of staff we met but we could see that this was such a well run Restaurant!. If you want an out of World experience then I would highly recommend a Sunday here.

we loved our stay at this magical place! service was excellent - they even welcomed our toddler with an ice cream treat! the extras and details made it a memorable stay and we would love to come back. could not recommend this place enough.
Anna B — Google review
The Hotel du Palais is absolutely the best property I have ever stayed in! I had the joy of hosting my wedding for 150 people at the Hotel in July and it was absolutely incredible. The team at the Hotel is gracious and accommodating, and the rooms and views are spectacular. From the spa to the restaurants, you will find luxury everywhere you turn. I highly recommend the Hotel du Palais for a stay or an event- you will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything!

We passed by for a coffee and champagne to a have a business meeting with my partner (2 persons) around 12:30, Friday. We were refused to sit at the terrace with nice weather, been said it was full but it wasn’t. Ok. We sat inside in the bar. Bringing the menu took 20 min! Bringing champagne another 15. Champagne was very good, though. Waiter was nice to us but too long, we were not the only ones who were unhappy.
Kristina B — Google review
Fantastic location and exceptionally friendly staff. However, the room was somewhat disappointing, especially considering the rate of over €1,600 per night. I had booked a sea-view room—judge for yourself.
Oliver M — Google review
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Palais!! If you're aiming for something you can only find in France, this is the place. The history of the palais alone is worth the visit. The views, grounds, and staff were all incredible. I had a cocktail at the bar (some sort of clarified take on a bloody mary) that was one of the most interesting and exciting I've had in France; I still think about it. When we visited a few years ago I ordered a dirty martini and they didn't know how to make it (they brought me a Vesper with an olive), so I was pleasantly surprised to have such a perfectly balanced and well crafted cocktail this time. The pools and access to the beach are fantastic and it's walking distance to many cool local shops and restaurants. My only real complaint is that there were not enough hooks to hang towels or wet items in the rooms. The closet is large but is carpeted which makes it a less than stellar spot for hanging a wet bathing suit/towel.

We spent 5 nights at this Hyatt branded hotel in June. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Location: The hotel is walking distance to the main sections of Biarritz. Property: The grounds are beautiful. Check-in/Reception: Our rooms were ready by check-in time. The process was smooth and easy. Staff: Everyone was very friendly and attentive to us. They tried very hard over my stay to make the Chromecast work in my room. Nesma and Emma were amazing. Rooms: We had 2 Deluxe Ocean Rooms and 1 Junior Suite City View. The rooms were nice but they are all somewhat different so it's hard to know what you will get. The Jr. Suite is above the Deluxe room, yet the Deluxe bathroom was much larger the the Jr. bathrooms and included bathtubs. The shower was small and felt like a plastic inset so easy to slip when soap was on the floor. The room stayed cool despite the summer heat, but the blackout shades let in a lot of light so it was hard to sleep after sunrise. Food/Room Service: The food at the hotel was all good. We ate in the restaurant and bar a couple times during our stay. We had breakfast delivered to the room and it arrived quick and hot. Pool: They have a large pool overlooking the ocean which is lovely and surrounded on one side by many cabanas. The cabanas are nice with their own private bathrooms. The only issue is they get very hot with no air circulating in them so fans would make a big difference. The pool is also extremely warm and felt closer to a hot tub. They have an ice cream shop on property near the pool which the kids loved. Spa/Gym: They have a gym and a spa but I didn't visit them on this trip. We would stay here again on another trip.

3Regina Experimental Biarritz

Hotel
Regina Experimental Biarritz is a luxurious 1907 hotel with elegant belle epoque design, offering stylish accommodations, exquisite dining options, and stunning bay views. The recently opened Frenchie Biarritz in the hotel serves exceptional dishes featuring top-quality local produce from the Basque Country. The property is now managed by the Experimental Group, known for Le Garage and Frenchie in Paris.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay as a family with a 1.5 year old toddler. The hotel is in a great location - a bit further from the hustle of Biarritz but close enough to everything. The hotel itself is very stylish, the common area is very attractive. The room once again is both very attractive in terms of design but also very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the hotel, special shout out to concierge Thomas. The bistro is open throughout the day and cooked some amazing food which our little one enjoyed very much (she is usually a fussy eater in holidays). The only small criticism I would have is that the breakfast selection could be a bit more varied at this price tag but was good enough to enjoy. Look forward to coming back.

Not our first time at Regina but certainly our last time! We wanted to use a spa and found out the steam room was not working. Ladies at the spa ‘ turned it on’ with no success. Went to a reception desk. Two lovely ladies there ( a real ´dream team’!) - one an intern and another with much more substantial life experience reassured us that everything was working. They even spoke with a technician on the phone. We went back to our room to wait for a phone call confirming that the steam room has been fixed. Of course, no phone call! On a way to dinner, we did ask for an update from our lovely front desk ladies and they reassured us that not only everything was fixed but apparently the technician confirmed that we were at the spa having a great time! Needless to say the steam room was never fixed….. Amazing approach to customer service- just keep convincing the customer that the problem doesn’t exist and hope the problem will go away! We could not leave this hotel fast enough. Dont waist your time and money, there are plenty other options in Biarritz! And of course, we completely understand that Regina may wanted to save some money and not run a steam room while the hotel was almost empty-it just needed to be communicated to customers honestly and openly… apparently too much to expect from a 4 star establishment :))
Angela — Google review
You arrive at the hotel and you are welcomed by a set of stairs with no ramp, service or elevator to carry your luggage up. I had to work and I asked to have a meeting room and was told it was booked. I sat in a sofa in front of an empty meeting room until 2pm completely uncomfortable. Nobody using the meeting room. I asked for late check out, also not possible. The room is comfortable, nice bathroom, good coffee, just need more space in the sink though. A bit far from city center but have nice lighthouse and view close by.
Ruth C — Google review
The Regina Experimental has been on my list since it’s opening. As it is winter now, and the restaurant is only open in the evening, I decided to go to the Patio and have a little bite there. Whereas the interior is truly stunning and breathtaking, the rest of the experience wasn’t for me. I was the only guest present when I arrived. The stuff was unfocused and unengaged. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The fries were undercooked, the sandwich was unbalanced and boring. Nobody ever checked whether I liked my meal. I had to catch the attention of one of the waiters in order to be able to express my disappointment. Even though I did not have to pay for the food, I will certainly not come back. Not interested in this kind of approach towards the customer. I only give two stars because of the beautiful interiors and the nice champagne.
Christiane — Google review
We had a really lovely stay at this beautiful hotel just a short walk from the centre of Biarritz and very close to the lighthouse. The staff were faultless particularly on the front desk. We had a very helpful and polite young man who showed us to our delightful deluxe bedroom and also recommended local restaurants, as this was our first time in Biarritz. We had no complaints at all, although the shower in the bathroom was a little difficult to get into, as it was in a bath and you had to get into it to turn on the taps. A bit difficult when my husband is 6 ft 2"! Also as the check out is quite early and our flights into the afternoon, it would have been helpful to have a hospitality room. All in all though, it was most enjoyable and hopefully, if we visit Biarritz again, we will almost certainly stay at this hotel again. Thank you Julia

Really nice hotel with an unbelievable view out to the sea. Just was there in the office season but it must be even greater during summer time. Recommended!
Georg G — Google review
Regina Experimental Biarritz is simply top notch. What a great location and what excellent service and comfort. I loved it. The moment I arrived I felt welcomed by everyone I met - starting with Susie who was nothing short of gracious. Throughout my stay it started to feel like home away from home to me as all the details were paid attention to. The room was wonderful, filled with light, great amenities and even a nice gift that is actually tasteful to welcome their guests. The whole staff was exceptional and kind - never any attitude and always very welcoming. The breakfasts are tasteful as are the smiles that greet you upon arrival each morning and throughout the day/night. I would like to call out the names of those who were always attentive. Thank you all for making my trip so memorable. Thank you, Susie, Thomas, Antoine, Dak, Tatiana, Ceasar, Venus, Carlos, Maialen and the whole morning crew at breakfast. You are all wonderful. Thank you to the general manager Charles who was equally kind. I made sure he knew it was a very well run place with exceptional spirits. I wish I had written all your names down but I see you all in my memories, which thanks to you will be close to my heart. I look forward to coming back. A bientôt and thank you.
Bluewater R — Google review
The hotel isn’t great — the service is terrible and the guest services are run by very young kids with very little experience. For this price you should stay at the Hyatt right on the beach which is gorgeous. The quality of the furniture is poor and the lighting in the bedrooms as well. To me it just feels like too much pattern over pattern and very jarring. I struggled with the service overall and the team understanding allergies and dietary requirements. The location is great tho. Short walk from the beach!

Hôtel Edouard VII is a charming 19th-century mansion located in downtown Biarritz, offering traditional rooms with free WiFi. The 18 private rooms have been renovated and decorated in an art deco style, featuring flamboyant floral-print Pierre Frey wallpapers and woven cane furniture. The hotel's rich history includes being the summer residence and office of Napoleon III's doctor in Biarritz.
The hotel is very cute. I went with my husband just one night but from the start to the end it was perfect. The staff are very very friend and helpful. I was making my check in when a staff member gave me a map and showed me all the nicest spots, where I could go for food/drinks and told me about the local market that happens each morning. The locations are great. It's about 5/10 min to the centre and to the beach. The room was very cozy and with air conditioning. I definitely recommend it.

Magnificent hotel in Biarritz. Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and fantastic breakfast. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.

I cannot speak more highly of the outstanding service we got from Melodie and the team at Edouard VII. I've never felt so welcomed in a hotel. The place is beautiful - like stepping into a (beautifully managed) time capsule. A true oasis in a gorgeous neighbourhood. Peaceful and quiet with great coffee shops and the market close by. My husband and I are honestly speechless with how well we've been treated and our little toddler too. Simply the best.

Just enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel and cannot praise it enough. Staff especially Melody were so warm and helpful at every turn. A real gem of a find. Would highly recommend it.

Great hotel and a great stay! In a beautiful building that has been tastefully upgraded. Great location for the beach, the market and bars/restaurants. Well connected to bus stops for transfers to airport/train station (5 min walk). If I was to return to Biarritz I wouldn't even look elsewhere - 100% recommended.
Stuart M — Google review
Stayed at Hotel Édouard VII for only 1 night but we were treated perfectly. Room had good AC which was good to get out the heat. They also stored our bags before check in and after we had to check out which was amazing for walking around. Ambroise was very helpful and ordered a taxi to take us to the train station. Great location also. Would highly recommend this place, so much so I'm leaving a review.
Douglas V — Google review
We spent three fantastic nights at this wonderful little hotel. The staff was welcoming and knowledgable (Ambroise, especially, was very kind and generous with his time). The location impeccable - a short walk down to the surfing beach and generally very centrally located in general. The design of the hotel was lovely - tasteful, hip, interesting and artistically designed (as a designer, I am a tough judge - I loved every thoughtful detail!) It really captured the cool and chill vibe of Biarritz. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of options, and the dining area gorgeous and light-filled - a wonderful way to start every morning. Could not recommend this hotel more highly - it really felt like you were staying at a friend's lovely and well-appointed home. We will certainly stay here any time we are back in Biarritz!

This is a gorgeous little hotel, very much Vintage French Chic with very friendly staff and excellent service. The location is within 5mins walk of the large beach and 10 mins walk to all the amenities and Biarritz town also the small beach and the bay or Biscay. There are numerous restaurants on the doorstep. Highly recommend, very reasonably priced too. Lovely stay in a very classy location

Château du Clair de Lune is a grand 19th-century manor house nestled in an 8-hectare estate, just 4km from the center of Biarritz. This 4-star hotel offers a tranquil environment with classic-style rooms spread across the manor and hunting lodge. The property features landscaped gardens, a restaurant, and a piano bar serving snacks. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor pool with bar service during the warmer months.
My husband and I were very impressed with this hotel. Unfortunately we were not able to stay here, due to my 7 year old becoming very ill the days leading up to our stay. When I called the hotel to inquire about their cancellation policy, they informed me that we were past the point of receiving a refund (because we used an online travel agency to book). However they tried their best to get the room rented so they could refund us a portion of our booking. We felt this was more than fair on the part of the hotel considering the circumstances. Both of the women at the front desk who helped us were friendly, responsive, and wonderful communicators. And the owners were so kind to make this exception for us. They didn't have to do that for us and they did it with warmth and professional. We very much forward to staying here next time we are in Biarritz. Thank you, Chateau du Clair de Lune for your hospitality. We will always remember this!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming estate near Biarritz. The property itself is stunning — beautifully kept grounds, elegant interiors, and a serene atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the very first moment. We booked two rooms, and both were absolutely gorgeous: spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable, with every detail carefully thought out. The beds were excellent, and we slept incredibly well. The staff deserve special mention — everyone we met was warm, polite, and genuinely attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality added so much to our experience. This place feels more like a refined countryside retreat than a typical hotel, and it was the perfect setting to relax and recharge. We left with only positive impressions and would love to return again!

Oh my goodness what a wonderful Chateau to stay in... It is owned and run by the original owners geat grandson. The interior is lovely and reflects it's heritage. Our room on ground floor was large and the attached bath was huge. Beautifully appointed. The bed was large and very comfy. The bath towels thick and soft. They provide robes and slippers. They go out of heir way to accommodate your needs. The casual supper, on the terrace overlooking the fountain and grounds, was tasty. Breakfast the next morning was delightful. NOT the icky usual bread, bread, bread, butter and lunch meats. Ordered a cheese omelette and bacon. They had nice pastries, granola, fresh fruit and jams. Coffee with cream. I could go on and on singing their praises but you need to see for yourself. Definately come and stay here.

We love this hotel! We were treated so well from beginning to end. We came with two dogs and had a perfect room for them on the ground floor with access to a porch. The grounds of the hotel are large and perfect for walking the dogs. The food was lovely and the service impeccable. It is also very close to the motorway so easy access if you're travelling as we were. We would highly recommend for service and comfort.

Beautiful property with swimming pool and spacious garden. Light dinner is available on demand, very relaxing ambience. Worth spending a full day enjoying with wine and snacks and other activities. Prices are reasonable and my room was retro, clean and high in ceiling.

During our stay in the beautiful castle we imagined ourselves a landlord and castle lady for a night. The reception was super customer friendly. The room and the surrounding garden breathtaking. The concluding breakfast gave a feeling of satisfaction before our long journey home.

Great location (secluded but not remote) and property within easy reach of both Biarritz and Bidart. Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with lovely, contemporary rooms in the old hunting lodge. Restaurant in the grounds and heated outdoor pool and sunbathing area. Pretty decent continental buffet style breakfast - could be improved but overall a good alternative to a central Biarritz hotel.

Fabulous hotel, very friendly staff and they speak excellent English. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights as it was the venue for our son's wedding. Everything was just perfect. The Château is set in beautiful grounds, the swimming pool has a view over the Pyrenees. It is very peaceful yet within a 10 minute drive of the bustling Biarritz sea front. We fully recommend Château Clair de Lune and will definitely stay there again.

Nestled on the serene shores of one of France's largest private lakes, Brindos, Lac & Château is a stunning 5-star Relais & Châteaux property located just a short drive from the vibrant beaches of Biarritz. This elegant retreat offers guests a choice between classic accommodations in beautifully appointed suites or unique stays in luxurious floating lodges that glide over the tranquil waters.
Marvelous stay, my husband & myself experienced while celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was truly a unique and unforgettable experience from beginning to end. Our #47 lodge, situated directly on the lake, was exceptional particularly with the added luxury of the Norwegian SPA. Enjoying the 40°C hot water under a sunny blue sky was an absolute pleasure. The accommodation truly deserves its five-star rating, thanks to the spaciousness of the lodge, the bed quality and the generous shower. The restaurant, however, deserves even higher praise, with a seven-star rating for both the exquisite dishes and the impeccable service. Our special thanks go to Laura (who is always serving with a smile and kindness) and especially to Sylvain, who provided extensive and insightful explanations of the wines served. We are genuinely surprised the restaurant has not yet received a Michelin star, given the brilliance of the chef and the attentive team. A special thank you to the SPA team for the incredible 80-minute massage performed directly on the water. In few words, thanks to the entire property staff and especially to the persons who transported us daily by electric boat between the lodge and the shore. All property personnel contributed significantly to making our stay so enjoyable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our anniversary celebration so special.

The site is marvellous and so charming, we actually got married there 10 years ago (under the old management) and it was simply perfect and the food was amazing (Michelin starred). We occasionally come back to have dinner, but since they reopened with a new management, the chef is trying too hard and the food is not worth the price. Ingredients in this part of the world are so tasty, I ordered foie gras and fish but both tastes were lost in a mixture of overcomplicated flavours... we were also disappointed with the amuse-bouche and dessert. I am sorry to say this has ruined the whole experience for us. This time we also stayed at the hotel for our anniversary and I got woken up at 8:30am by the gardeners mowing the lawn right under the bedrooms... a small detail that can upset some guests...

In summary: lovely setting of the hotel with the lodges. Service and food are good. Massages not to be missed. There are some safety issues. We stayed 3 nights, 2 in a Spa Lodge and 1 in a Superieur Suite. Of course we have had breakfast and diner. My wife loved the authentic interior. We loved the tranquility of the lodge. The Norwegian bath is real nice, soothing your body. The bed with the round view of the lake is amazing and good. The showers very good. We had a lovely time. The exception is that travelling with the boat to the lodge is not real safe. There are no facilities at the ramp for boarding the small and wet boats, making that a difficult thing to do. There is nothing you can keep an hold on. As a result getting in the boat, as well as getting out at the ramp of the chateau, becomes a bit scary. My wife fell one time as well. Fortunately nothing broken, just some bruises. That could have been different. The suite is real nice. Good space, nice facilities and terraces with a great view of the lake. You need to be careful with the carpets, they slide easily. Mz wife had the special from the chateau. She came back a different woman. I had a manicure and a pedicure, my hands and feet came back nice and relaxed. Expensive, but definitely worth it. All in all we have had a lovely time.

A dog-friendly Relais & Châteaux nestled beside a tranquil lake, this retreat is as peaceful as it is picturesque. You and your four-legged companion can relax on the deck, watching ducks glide across the water and schools of fish shimmer below. Our room had its own private terrace, perfect for slow mornings. Some rooms are reachable only by boat, offering an added sense of privacy and a touch of adventure. You can even borrow one of the boats for a leisurely tour of the lake before ending the day with dinner and wine on the warmly lit terrace.

A fantastic property, we really enjoyed our two night stay. We visited with our 1.5 year-old and she also felt very welcome! The grounds of the hotel are just breathtaking. The room was very well appointed with a nice lake view, sparkling clean with a really comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional and the restaurant was very happy to attend to our various toddler-related needs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Look forward to coming back!

Beautiful, clean room with a king-sized bed, overlooking parts of the lake, yard, and pool area. Wonderful, friendly staff at the front desk, bar area, and restaurant. Everyone we encountered could speak English to us.

Nestled in the heart of Biarritz, Hôtel & Espace Bien-être La Maison du Lierre is a charming retreat that beautifully blends comfort and wellness. This former family mansion, just a short stroll from the beach and local market, offers bright rooms named after the lush plants in its garden. Guests can indulge in an array of rejuvenating treatments such as yoga sessions, Thai massages, and thalassotherapy. The hotel boasts delightful outdoor spaces including a terrace and courtyard where guests can unwind.
A perfect stay for a couple of nights in the heart of Biarritz. This exquisitely quaint hotel offers excellent service from a warm and friendly staff, they really went above and beyond my expectations. Whether you’re travelling solo or as a couple, look no further than this lovely establishment.

An amazing stay. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and the hotel is so well placed to access all the amenities in the wonderful city of Biarritz. They upgraded the room with a great view over jardin public.

The place is magical. We loved the room, the view and the breakfast… the city is beautiful, chic and just amazing. Coming back soon!!
Nidia N — Google review
Unfortunately due to a genuine mistake on my part with booking dates, the hotel grudgingly allowed me to rebook at double the cost for superior room. I had an accident two days before the intended date and informed hotel. I had suffered broken ribs ,lacerations and severe bruising so advised not to travel. The initial response generated a misunderstanding due to language. The second sent by Juliette was blunt to the point of rudeness and lacking in compassion. If you don’t appreciate comment ‘we are no longer able to offer you any arrangements whatsoever’ Avoid I paid a high price for selecting this hotel.
Susan — Google review
Lovely hotel, perfect for a night in Biarritz before beginning the Camino. I stayed in room 12, beware it is small and perfect for one, would be difficult for two since the toilet is pretty much in the room. Also difficult to navigate if you have a larger body. Breakfast was lovely, served at 7:40 on weekdays, 8 on weekends. Staff at hotel were helpful and spoke English.

Shame because location and generally good but the attitude of the lady on check out in the morning spoilt our stay. She could not have been less friendly in marked contrast to the lady who checked us in !!

Nestled just a short stroll from the stunning Miramar Beach, Hôtel Le Garage Biarritz is a chic retreat that beautifully marries industrial and contemporary design with nostalgic seventies touches. Once an aeroclub and later a vintage car garage, this upscale hotel now boasts 27 spacious rooms and suites, many featuring private outdoor spaces like garden patios or expansive terraces overlooking the breathtaking Basque Country or the ocean. Guests can unwind by the pool or enjoy delightful meals at the on-site bar/restaurant.
Stayed here for one night while exploring the Basque coast. Staff was super friendly, especially Caroline who worked tirelessly and was amazing! She’s an incredible asset to this hotel. Breakfast spread was good, and the hotel is a short walk to the beach. Parking is additional but we found plenty of street parking nearby.

Great value for money ! very chill yet high standard hotel with superb breakfast. only call out: Pool is just next street which tends to be a bit noisy with traffic passing by great walking distance to city and beach + food options very close and on site

Perfect experience in September, and probably in every season. Great rooms, modern concept, courageous architecture. Many rooms include a small backyard area, the staff were super supportive and kind. The kind of hip vibe that has great appeal, as well.

We really loved our stay at Le Garage Biarritz. Our hotel room was big and comfortable, they provided robes and slippers, there is a lovely pool with seats and tables outside, and the staff was so friendly. They also have a focus on sustainability that we really appreciated. Our absolute favorite thing about our stay here is, if you get it with breakfast included, you can either eat in the dining room or you can pre-select by hanging a form on your door before 3am that morning, and they will bring breakfast to you in your room. We did this every morning and it was wonderful. Couldn’t recommend enough.

I think this might be my favorite hotel in France. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and quiet. I was here for 5 nights and the staff were lovely to deal with. The food was quite good too. I would definitely stay here again.

Second time for us on this hotel. We stayed 2 days. The rooms are nice and the personnel really takes care of you. The only drawback was that the restaurant had a limited service. You can charge your EV for free in the parking (the parking costs 30€ per day).

Located in the picturesque coastal town of Biarritz, Surf Hostel Biarritz offers simple yet comfortable rooms with shared bathrooms and complimentary breakfast. The hostel provides a communal kitchen and even loaner bikes for guests to explore the area. Visitors can take advantage of the convenient bus network, Chronoplus, which serves not only Biarritz but also neighboring Anglet and Bayonne. This makes it easy for travelers to navigate the region at an affordable flat rate.
Great hostel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, family-style breakfasts, and lots of little things this hostel does right. Highly recommend. Note that getting from the surf hostel to the beach with a surfboard is a bit tricky - you can take the N11 bus (which officially doesn’t allow boards >2m) or rent a bike. Alternative is to rent a surfboard on the beach.
Lenni J — Google review
Lovely hostel. Very nice rooms especially for the price and breakfast provided in the morning. Quite far back from the seafront but still only a 20 minute or so walk into the heart of biarritz.
Bethany T — Google review
Hostel had such a great vibe, everyone was super friendly! Breakfast was lovely. We felt the single room was overpriced for what it was, perhaps this reflects Biarritz pricing. Free surfboards are great but it’s a bit difficult to transport to the beach if you aren’t confident riding down.
Emily E — Google review
We payed 150€ for a double bed in the hostel. This price is way too much for what you get. We only saw someone of the staff the day we left. Bikes are 10€ a day, basically you have to pay for everything on top of the 150€… There is no outside space. The hostel is located on a block of appartements. It is a 20-30 min walk to the beach and city therefore you can’t even take the surfboards from the hostel without paying for bikes. Not worth it!
MoniaMic — Google review
by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! super sociable, big range of surf boards to choose from and nice hostel design - highly recommend!
Yannik O — Google review
I was lucky enough to book this hostel in Biarritz, which I recommend 100%. I stayed during the days of the Woodscote festival and it was very cool to be able to share those days with the other guests of the hostel, from all the places you can imagine: Montana, Texas, England, France and Switzerland. The hostel is very nice and familiar in the morning you meet everyone at breakfast and that's where you get to know people. The staff is very nice and attentive. Thank you Candice, Alexandra and the owner for making me feel at home. Best regards and a hug. I hope to come back next year!
Matdisseny S — Google review
Fantastic hostel! Honestly, this was one of the easiest hostels to meet people. The fact that it has only about 15 people capacity makes it so easy and natural to connect with others. And the place itself is more like your grandparents' house, rather than a "hostel hostel". Very cozy, comfy and homely vibes. Breakfast time is also where it's at - one giant table where fellow backpackers share a meal like good ole days and have an actual conversation (which unfortunately is becoming so rare in the age of smartphones - even in hostels :P). The owner herself was also a beautiful, lovely woman whom I shared great conversations with. You can tell she is really pouring her heart into it and genuinely cares for the well-being of her guests. For example during breakfast time (although there is staff to prepare the table and serve the food) she was keeping a close eye and was personally replenishing the coffee, giving guests new cutlery, taking away dirty dishes, etc. I found this gesture very admirable and honorable! NOTE: The hostel itself was not that polished and upscale compared to other hostels (like the one next door which I also stayed at). So I wouldn't expect too much from the quality of the bed, etc. However, what made this place extra extra special was how easy it was to meet and bond with fellow travelers and instantly feel at home! Last thing: You get to rent a surf board for free which is a huge plus (I think other places charge 10-15 EUR per day), so it's definitely a good deal for your room price. You can also rent bikes for an affordable price! All in all a great place to stay! If you get the chance, definitely go for it!

Nestled in a charming 19th-century villa, Hôtel Maison Garnier offers a delightful blend of comfort and character. This boutique hotel exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere thanks to its owner Delphine, who has infused the space with her personal touch. Located in a serene residential area yet just a short stroll from the beach, it’s an ideal retreat for travelers seeking both relaxation and convenience.
What a find in Biarritz! Delphine welcomed us into her very comfortable small hotel centrally located and provided excellent restaurant recommendations which our party of four enjoyed during our two-night stay. Rooms are large with good a/c, a good bathroom and plenty of storage space. The hotel breakfast is an excellent value, with fresh-squeezed orange juice, a huge selection of breads and cakes along with traditional sliced ham, cheese, homemade yogurt and fruit. You will be happy here. Thank you, Delphine and staff, for a memorable stay. We hope to visit again.

Wonderful location, just in the centre of Biarritz; however very quiet and home-like. All is arranged with taste and care. Thank you for the comfortable staying and delicious breakfast.

You‘ll find the true french boutique hotel located in an old urban villa not far from the market halls and its surrounding little shops, restaurants and bars. All the 7 rooms are renovated and Delphine, the owner, furnished and decorated them in art déco style with lots of love and thought. The breakfast leaves no wishes open. For getting your personal preferences fulfilled, you just need to talk - English is very well understood and spoken. Delphine is a real help, when it comes to the choice of restaurants and reservations, as she knows the food-scene of Biarritz and its surroundings very well. E-Bikes are available for rent, maps and brochures are available in your room and up-to-date. We definitely enjoyed our stay at this little gem and will be back for more!

I really enjoyed my stay at Maison Garnier Hotel, Delphine really made me feel at home, I was staying alone as my holiday group were staying up the road and I really felt safe and looked after in this hotel. Anna cleaned my room each day and it was such a treat. They hotel is very central and very near shops and minutes to the beach, the food market is about 4 minutes walk. I loved my room it was so comfortable and private. I will definitely stay here when I return to Biarritz. Thank you so much for your generous hospitality. Regards Carmel Ryan, Galway, Ireland.

Words cannot describe what a lodging “find” this was. Great location. The manager/host was more than pleasant and accommodating. There is no parking, but a public lot, with pass provided by the hotel, is only a couple of blocks away. Great shopping all around and many places to eat or drink. Also, the playa is only a few minutes away.

This was our first time in Biarritz and my boyfriend found this lovely hotel. It was situated in a great location with close walking distance to all the beaches, shops and even more local restaurants in the neighborhood. Everyone in the staff was really kind and breakfast was really great. Highly recommend this hotel! We will definitely be booking it again when we pass by Biarritz the next time.
Bianca E — Google review
A really beautiful boutique hotel. The owner has clearly put a lot of love into this place, it is full of antique furniture, eclectic art, and other small details. The room was clean and comfortable, all the necessary amenities were available (shampoo, soap, even micellar water). Her breakfast was delicious and more than plenty. There was some noise from the street, but that is to be expected, did not bother me. The location is right in the city center. Just so other people know, there is no parking, and city parking is very expensive (~20eur/day if I remember correctly).

My favorite BnB I’ve ever stayed at—Casaviel is a hidden gem. My best friend and I visited in May and had an amazing experience. Spent a few days in the lovely guest house of Diana and Lucas. My girlfriend and I had a crush for La Casaviel. As we often spend our holidays in Biarritz and surroundings we've been looking for a place like this since ages. Amazing breakfast with croissant and vegan pancakes. The garden was the perfect spot to do our daily workout. Both hosts are super kind and helpful, Lucas (who's also a shaper) gave me some great advises as I was about to walk down to the beach and get my first surf lesson. Bright and modern rooms with a small kitchen corner elegantly hidden behind a cupboard. Perfect location. Everything very clean. Modern air conditioning. Noise-sensitive guests would be better off booking a room on the south-west side, as lawnmowers can sometimes be heard towards the golf course, but that didn't bother us. Located near the beach in the heart of Biarritz, Hotel de l'Ocean offers a relax atmosphere with views of the ocean. The rooms have terraces and airy spaces, some with balconies and sea views. There is also a restaurant with a terrace. Some staff do not speak English either Spanish, but this is only a minor inconvenience.
We were greeted by lovely Sophie upon our arrival. It was a pleasure being welcomed in such a friendly manner. We were told that there have been problems with hot water availability so we were offered a room upgrade + free drinks OR help in searching for other accommodations. We chose to stay and were so glad we did. We ended up having hot water and the room upgrade offered us an ocean view. We enjoyed the evening drinks as well. Overall, our stay was perfect - friendly atmosphere, excellent location, clean room with a nice layout for our party of three. Sophie made it especially enjoyable. I highly recommend Hotel de l'ocean.

Location of hotel is fabulous, perfect for shops, bars restaurants and beaches, couldn’t be better. Rooms were small. Bathroom was tiny particularly shower cubicle. I’m only a size 10 and I couldn’t really bend down in shower to pick up my shampoo/condition. Anyone slightly large literally would not fit in the cubicle. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room There is air conditioning Balcony although small was nice to have for some outside space and view of beach was great

Beautiful location... rooms could use some maintenance... Lovely sport, located in the main square, steps from the ocean. The room was comfortable, but the shower door would not close, and it was apparent it had been in disrepair for a while. Also got briefly stuck in the elevator, when the door wouldn't open. Not totally confidence inspiring. All in all, the hotel is nice, but it could benefit from some maintenance.

Almost a month ago, we went there for a few days of vacation. We got such a beautiful room with a view on the ocean, la grande plage, and the church. The room is small but clean and cute. People in the reception were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel has a lovely location, right by the cathedral and walking distance to everything in Biarritz. However, rooms are very small (especially considering the prices charged) and walls are paper-thin (you can hear everything in the rooms next door). But otherwise a lovely hotel for a quick visit to Biarritz.
Philip C — Google review
The “duplex” at Hôtel de L’Océan is really a damp underground cave with a musty smell so strong the windows need to stay open just to make it bearable. The mezzanine bedroom is cramped, dark, and oppressive, and staff offered nothing more than a half-empty air freshener refill and a shrug when we complained. Other guests have clearly raised the same issue, yet no solution exists. The only redeeming feature is the central location — but for the price, this was a misleading, unpleasant, and disappointing stay.

If you're in the mood for pizza, Pizza Cosy is definitely the place to go. They've got a wide variety of toppings and sauce to choose from, so you're sure to find something that's perfect for your taste. Plus, their prices are very reasonable.
We got two takeaway pizzas while staying in the area. Ordering online was easy, and the pizzas were ready on time. The standout was the one with spicy chorizo and a base of sweet potato/pumpkin cream. Very savory and delicious!

Just had pizzas delivered.they were absolutely amazing. We all really enjoyed them.everthing tasted fresh and delicious. 👌👍
Archie R — Google review
The pizza is very fresh, well made and was topped with good quality ingredients. I ordered the truffle pizza and I expected the pizza to have much more truffle flavour, so I was a bit disappointed in this. The bolognese pizza was very good. Furthermore, we were told that our order would arrive at 21.30, but it was 20 minutes late. Altogether, we waited nearly 2 hours since we placed the order. We understand the difficult times at the moment and that there may be more deliveries than usual, but the pizzas were a bit cold when they arrived. I would recommend this restaurant, but be cautious with the delivery service.

This lively area is perfect for shopping enthusiasts and offers glimpses of the ocean from select rooms. After an exhilarating day of surfing or exploring the stunning Basque Coast, guests can unwind at "La Gambette," the hotel's delightful restaurant.
The hotel has everything: great finishes, good linens, charm, location, staff with sparkling personalities, and an owner/manager with the foresight to keep working on improvements (he was discussing upgrading the kitchen with people while we were there). The room price was excellent, the underground parking wasn't too far away, there was room at the front door to unload, we had a quiet night's sleep. We were 1 minute away, if that, from the wonderful market! In other words, we loved it!

I stayed in hotel for my Biarritz trip and it was amazing! In the reception there was Zeynep and she was so lovely and professional. I was surprised that I was placed in a nearby hotel building and not in the main building. This was not clearly stated in the description. Beautiful house in a nice location. The rooms are modern, spacious and very tidy. The staff were quick to answer to any of our concerns. Overall had such an amazing time there with my boyfriend and would love to come back again!

Second stay for us at Les Tourelles and again we loved it! The house is immaculate, with large ensuite bedrooms on the first floor as well as a 2-bedroom apartment on the top floor, perfect for couples as well as families. It is very conveniently located, with a baker close-by (I recommend their dried fruit bread rolls) and other shops and restaurants on the same street. It is only a 5 min walk to the main beach and to the traditional food market.
Katrina G — Google review
The house is modern and stylish with very comfortable beds and large ensuite dressing rooms/bathrooms for the 2 bedrooms on the first floor. It is ideally located in the center of Biarritz with a boulangerie next door and good restaurants in the same street. The main beach is 5-10 min walk away. We rented the whole house as an extended family of 8 and had plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommend.
Pascal G — Google review
According to me, one of the best place to stay in Biarritz. Very clean. Spacious and nicely decorated rooms.

(Translated by Google) Sylvie gave us a wonderful welcome with lots of great tips for exploring the area. The room was spotless, with a coffee machine, herbal tea, and fresh water. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was amazing, with everything homemade: jams, muffins, yogurt, rice pudding, as well as savory items, eggs, and cheese. We were pampered from start to finish.

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful residence steeped in history. Large and beautiful rooms with very good bedding. You are quiet but 8 minutes walk from the city center. Big strong point: possibility of parking the car in the courtyard. Top notch and considerate welcome. Very good breakfast. Please note that you book directly on the landline (no mobile) but I assure you there is wifi!
Sandrine L — Google review
(Translated by Google) Very welcoming and helpful hosts. We arrived half an hour before the scheduled time. They welcomed us with pleasure. We were able to park the car in the courtyard and leave it there for the weekend. We did everything on foot, but be careful, the streets are steep to get there if you want to do everything on foot! 😊 The house isn't right in the city center, so it's quiet. However, be aware that the room we had is a bit dated, so we didn't dare close the shutters, so we had the light from the lighthouse at night despite the curtains. The bedroom has two windows and the bathroom has one; we were only able to open one in the bedroom. 😅 Otherwise, we slept well, with good bedding, and a good breakfast with fresh, local baked goods and, in particular, the discovery of vegan butter! The house is very pleasant; the hosts seem to be avid travelers, and you can feel the inspiration from their travels throughout the house, including the terrace, garden, and living room with games and books available. Thank you to the whole family for this wonderful stay!
