Kalemegdanska Terasa is a renowned restaurant located within the walls of Belgrade's popular Belgrade Fortress, Kalemegdan. It offers a cozy atmosphere, a wide range of food and drinks, and stunning views of the meeting point of the Sava and Danube rivers. With seating for 250 inside and 100 on the open-air terrace, this rooftop bar and restaurant provides an impressive view of Belgrade's bridges and rivers.
Beautiful location for weddings. I’ve photographed several weddins here, and each one had a unique charm. The views, atmosphere, and light make it a perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments.
Saša A — Google review
We stopped by for a midday cocktail break and really enjoyed it. It was both relaxing and the view was beautiful. We were planning to come back for dinner, but after walking so much inside Kalemegdan, we weren’t sure if getting back would be easy, so we passed for the evening.
Didem A — Google review
The view was lovely, the building was absolutely stunning, and the food was amazing. We had an excellent waiter who suggested some great choices for the kids. Loved it. Thank you!
Camille A — Google review
Excellent. A most cunning and pleasent elder waiter, good "Kalemegdanska Terasa" (house and low prived red wine) and excellent lamb slank. Prices a bit higer than elsewhere in Beograd, but not insane, regarding the sight and environment Highly Recommendable!
Per H — Google review
Kalemegdan Terrace is Belgrade’s most spectacular viewpoint! Located at the very top of the historic Kalemegdan Fortress, this restaurant has the kind of view that takes your breath away — the entire city, plus the meeting point of the Sava and Danube rivers. It’s especially magical at sunset, when the sky glows over the fortress walls. The food is great, the staff are very pleasant, and the atmosphere is both elegant and relaxed. If you ask me, Kalemegdan Terrace is the best hidden gem in Belgrade and a must-visit for anyone who wants to truly experience the city.

Was truly looking forward to visiting this place, been following them on social media for over a year. However, the service we received from the 'service manager' aka 'šef servisa', is absolutely shocking. Once seated, we waited 5 minutes to be given menus (the restaurant was absolutely empty, meaning they were not busy at all). Once we were ready to order, we asked one of the waiters to take our orders, however they told us they'll send us our designated waiter instead. We waited about 10 mins but no one came. At that point, I turned around as I heard 2 staff members speaking behind my back and asked if we could kindly be served. This is where I was left utterly speechless. The so called 'service manager' casually SHOOd me away with his hand and said 'shortly' and continued chatting away with the other staff member. Only as they saw I was ready to leave since I picked up my belongings, did they send a waiter to serve us. The body language by the 'šef servisa' was absolutely shocking. That kind of behaviour you wouldn't see even on streets. The food does not justify the prices either, just overly priced for average quality. The views they advertise online are also nothing special, with scenery being blocked by high risers in front of the restaurant windows. Pretty disappointed and will not be back.

A wonderful historical spot to visit during your Belgrade stay. Probably one of the most iconic restaurants for corporate events, weddings etc. wonderful setting, beautiful backdrop.

Beautiful restaurant, very good food but one thing i didn't liked. The waiter brings to us from the house a bread bascket and some serbian cheese. If it was from the house why he put it on the bill?

Perched atop the Crystal Hotel in Belgrade, The View Rooftop lives up to its name by offering stunning panoramic views of the city and the nearby Saint Sava Temple. This stylish and sophisticated rooftop bar boasts a warm interior with retractable roofs, making it an inviting year-round destination. Guests can savor a diverse menu of international dishes, carefully selected wines, and custom-made cocktails while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Amazing place! The view is so romantic! I loved Nemanja the waiter, absolutely cute polite and caring person!!! Hvala puno, duša! The food was good! Especially main dishes were really good! The starters were okay, I liked the seabass only… But overall the experience was great! I DO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
Romeo D — Google review
One of the best places we have been in Belgrade. The food was fantastic. The service also great - the waiters give us recommendations and very nice choice of a wine. Thank you so much for the nice evening we had. The atmosphere is 10/10.

One of my fav restaurants in Belgrade! Amazing view if you are lucky to be seated on the side where you can see St. Sava Temple. Ambience is pleasant. Service is professional and friendly. Food is also decent. Whenever I have some important visitor, I am always happy to bring them here for a cosy fine dining experience. Keep up with the good work!

One of the rarest places where food is awesome, cocktails are with good quality and lots of choices, service is professional and fast and above all location, vibe and the view is amazing. Definitely a place i return to on all my special occasions. Please keep this place running so great always😍

We booked for a party of 17 for lunch. The views are stunning across the city and we were fortunate enough to get a table opposite St Sava church. We did have a wobbly start as one member of staff was having a bad day, but Andreas and his colleague made up for it in abundance. Polite, considerate and attentive. The food was exceptional and full credit goes to the chef and his kitchen. We had a memorable afternoon at a very reasonable cost taking into account the quality of the food and wine. Thank you Andreas.

3x 5 star, everything was just fine, the atmosphere is lovely, view from the movies, staff was amazing and welcoming in a pleasant and friendly/polite way, great! But the best thing and the biggest surprise is TRUFFLE LAMB SPINACH RISOTTO, I noticed even the person next table was offering his friends to try the same risotto… Order the whole for yourself 👌

Unfortunately, I was so excited to try the pistachio soufflé, that's why there's no picture.. But you can check out the poppy seed cake with white chocolate... Perfect for hot weather... Apart from the amazing food and the beautiful view, thanks to Mirjana and Miloš for their kindness and good service!

Great view and friendly service. We got a lovely table even without a reservation. Giving it 4 stars due to a slightly unusual smell.
Jelena J — Google review
Wonderful place, with astonishing view of Belgrade. Minced meat was average, not so big portions. Turkey salad was great. Cocktails were okay. Prices are a bit high. There is available parking spot of the hotel.
Draganche P — Google review
Beautiful food, disappointing experience. This is an upscale restaurant that presents itself as offering excellent service. The food was truly very good — everything we tried was delicious. However, the service was quite poor, and the overall visit left us disappointed. I had made a reservation in advance and asked for a table with a view. When we arrived at 18:30, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we were told the view table was taken. We stayed until 20:00, and during that entire time the restaurant remained empty — only as we were paying did anyone sit at the view table. This felt like a clear mistake by the hostess and left a very negative impression. In addition, one of our friends didn’t receive his salad until we reminded the staff twice — and again, the restaurant was far from busy. In short: excellent food, but a frustrating and disappointing overall experience due to poor service.

Restoran Caruso is a rooftop restaurant located on the 8th floor near the heart of Belgrade, offering a delightful fusion of Mediterranean and Balkan cuisines. With the backdrop of Hotel Moskva, this restaurant not only pleases the palate but also offers stunning views, especially during sunset. Live music adds to the rooftop experience while a wide selection of wines, spirits, and beers are available for enjoyment.
Panoramic views over the city at sunset! Food was tasty and huge portion sizes and well priced for the location Staff friendly Can be initially hard to find but once you find the lift it’s 8th floor We booked a table in advance
Holly K — Google review
Beautiful views!!!! I love rooftops! And this place has beautiful views. You can kind of see two sides of the city. The Danube side and the Sava river side. The food was ok, dessert was big. If you are not crazy for sugar, I suggest you share one dessert. The portions are quite substantial. Service was also ok. They could wipe down the tables before seating their guests. Cleanliness is important. The furniture needs a some attention as well, some of it looks quite worn out. We went there for dinner around sunset time. We really enjoyed the views. Their menu was both in English and Serbian, and the waiters spoke English as well.
Juliette B — Google review
I really enjoyed visiting this wonderful restaurant. I recommend booking a table in advance to sit close to the window and look at the view. it's a stunningly beautiful sight at sunset. The level of service from the waiters is good, the food is tasty and not super expensive, I recommend it
Mariia V — Google review
Great view but hard to find the entrance, for drinks only we were not allowed to sit by the window

Only view is amaizing, food decent, turkey with mash potatoes even bellow avarage. Server was nice, but he is working there alone - so you have to wait for orders, food and even bill.
Luka P — Google review
Good discovery of a last storey restaurant with view in Belgrade, especially interesting for sunset. Reservation fr a good terrace table recommended. Staff is kind. Life band in evenings. Typical food served. Worth a try!
G M — Google review
Nice views and good service. I was with my family, 4 of us. Unfortunately, food is not safe to eat. I got quite bad food poisoning from Caruso Chicken. My husband and brother also had issues with stomach cramps and nausea. We all had chicken dishes which was probably contaminated. Would not recommend this place for that reason as clearly food hygiene is not up to required standard. Lep pogled i dobra usluga.
Zorica M — Google review
Good service, also in English. Starter plate. Chicken saltimbocca. Expresso with prune brandy. Nice white wine and stylish water. Great live band. Just across the Moska hotel. Enter the door and take elevator to the 8th floor. A bit pricy but you get good food, swift service, great view!, and nice music. Furniture is a bit passé. And the floor carpet at the entrance is dangerous.

We had a very good time there and tried man things on the menu like beef carpaccio, Greek eggplant, all kinds of sushi, lobster pasta, wagyu, pad thai, gyoza, mocktails etc. Best service , we loved it.

Sky Lounge Belgrade is truly an unforgettable experience! The service was on another level – attentive, professional, and made us feel special throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. On top of that, each dish came with its own show, which was such a unique and delightful touch that made the evening even more enjoyable. If you’re ever in Belgrade, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Between the stunning atmosphere, excellent service, and incredible dining experience, it’s a place you definitely won’t regret!
Daniel C — Google review
While the food is average at best, the wait staff and bartenders are consistently excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently undermined by the hosting staff, whose approach has been off-putting on multiple visits. On my first visit, I was allowed to sit at the bar without a reservation. However, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the hosts made a scene when we attempted to move to a table with drinks. I was dressed appropriately for summer—khaki shorts, polo shirt, and black shoes. During my second visit, I was asked to change the same black shoes I had worn the night before without issue. Additionally, my guest and I—being the only customers in the restaurant—were told we needed a reservation and asked to come back 30 minutes later. It felt arbitrary and unnecessary given the complete lack of other patrons. On my third and final visit, I was denied entry entirely due to wearing khaki shorts. Ironically, the person entering ahead of me was admitted wearing sandals. I completely understand and respect the need for dress codes, but consistent and reasonable enforcement is key. Sadly, this inconsistent, overly rigid, and frankly pretentious approach by the hosts leaves a poor impression and explains the venue’s persistent emptiness. Regrettably, I won’t be returning.
William L — Google review
Outstanding service and delicious food. Black risotto was amazing. We enjoyed the meal very much. The only issue was cigarete smoke, we were surprised that it was alowed to smoke inside, it was much unpleasant and ruined otherwise great experience.
Precious R — Google review
Unacceptable Treatment of Hotel Guests at Hilton – 8th Floor Restaurant On June 17, 2025, our group of six people, all Asian guests staying at the hotel, visited the Hilton restaurant located on the 8th floor. At first, a waiter politely seated us at a free table, and we began placing our order — some items had already been submitted. However, a few minutes later, an administrator named Kristijan Boros approached us and insisted that we move to another table, claiming that ours was “reserved.” We were moved to the far end of the restaurant, to a less convenient table, without any proper explanation, apology, or attempt to handle the situation professionally. What made the situation worse is that no one showed up to take the supposedly reserved table during the full two hours we stayed in the restaurant. The experience left us with the clear impression that the real reason we were moved was not the reservation — but our appearance and ethnicity. As paying guests of the hotel, we expected the level of service that Hilton is known for — not to be treated with such disrespect and disregard. We strongly urge the hotel management to investigate the behavior of administrator Kristijan Boros and to review the overall guest treatment standards at the 8th floor restaurant. We hope this feedback will prevent others from facing such an unpleasant and discriminatory experience in the future.
Margulan A — Google review
Great ambience, good service and average to good food. Old fashioned was prepared well, vegetable spring rolls were "very" tasty and the rainbow roll was good. Surprised to see pink ginger in such a place, but it also may be the norm in Belgrade (and the disposable chopsticks, what's with that?) Service was attentive and the overall experience was good. I may visit again if I am staying at the hotel.

History museum
The Museum of Yugoslavia in Belgrade is a unique institution that aims to foster an understanding of the past and its relevance to the present. It serves as a platform for open dialogue, knowledge exchange, and exploration of social and cultural phenomena from the 20th century. The museum's focus spans from the creation of the Yugoslav state as a kingdom to its dissolution in the early 1990s.
One of the best museums in Serbia (and not just Serbia). Amazing both for locals and for English speaking people (everything is bilingual). It is easy to navigate, but also to get lost in the history, all the artifacts and stories, posters, photos… After 3 hours of exploring, I can’t wait to visit one more time. Truly a great place. All staff is really kind and helpful. Parking is easily found, toilets are clean.
Milica T — Google review
For just 600 dinars (about $6), the Museum of Yugoslavia gives you access to three incredible sites: the House of Flowers, where Tito and his wife Jovanka are laid to rest, the Old Museum showcasing fascinating gifts Tito received from leaders all over the world, and the New Museum, which is partially under renovation but still adds valuable context. Hyde Park restaurant is only a short walk away, making it easy to pair culture with a good meal. The House of Flowers is moving, with Tito’s desk and office preserved, while the Old Museum is a treasure chest of artifacts that highlight just how respected he was internationally. What ties it all together is understanding the scale of Tito’s influence—when he died in 1980, his funeral drew leaders from 128 countries, one of the largest gatherings of presidents and prime ministers in history. A visit here is more than a museum stop; it’s an inspiring way to understand Yugoslavia’s story and why Tito remains such a monumental figure.
Maya S — Google review
I would love to give a 5/5 stars, but this museum needs a bit of modernisation. The old museum is quite chaotic. One one side you have the history of Yugoslavia and on the other side the presents Josip Broz Tito got. But for a Yugoslavian freak, like I am, this museum is worth a visit. PS Would be great to open a Yugo-Rock musuem/hall there also!
Thanasis Z — Google review
This museum is worth a visit. It costs 600 RSD. Payment is by card or cash. This interesting museum consists of three buildings. The first building contains gifts from various countries to Broz Tito. It also tells the story of the development of communism in Yugoslavia. The next building is the grave of Broz Tito and his wife, Jovanka Broz Tito. The third building is the large central building you approach in the park. On the second floor, there are two halls. One hall was dedicated to the sport in Yugoslavia, and the other to the Yugoslav political figure Veljko Vlahović. Overall, it took me 1-1.5 hours to explore the entire museum at a leisurely pace.
Roman B — Google review
The museum is inviting both for its garden spaces and displays. The exhibits capture both Yugoslavian daily life and nostalgia for Tito. The museum is open and “Living” in a manner contrasting other museums that can feel static and dusty. Well worth visiting in its own right but also as a counterpoint to similarly themed museums in Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
Jeremy T — Google review
The Museum of Yugoslavia is a small but fascinating place, spread across a few stages. It offers a great look into history with photos, artifacts, and products from the Yugoslav era. There are sections about important figures, weapons, traditional clothing, culture, music, and everyday life. It really gives you a sense of how people lived, worked, and had fun during that time. A very nice experience to visit.
Bugs B — Google review
Really great museums. Interstingly, it was the Old Museum (the one that is about Yugoslavia) the one that left me kinda unsatisfied. I found it quite superficial and I wish it had more information about how Yugoslavia was formed, it was also not interactive at all which made it s bit boring since even thought the actual information is translated, for obvious reasons most imagery and historical items are in Serbian so you don't really know what you are looking at. However, the House of Flowers is definitely worth the visit and it is quite special, as well as the art gallery that is included in the ticket. Amazing souvenirs too.
Sofía R — Google review
Very happy to see that the history of Yugoslavia and Tito was kept and maintained. If you are an Ex-Yu soul it is a mandatory place to visit. Ticket is only 5 EUR, small bar and toilet is also available, place is well maintained.

Good rooftop swimming pool in Belgrade. The concept is cool and the setup is nice and modern. The burgers were good. Good drinks selection. The service was ok with some hiccups, for the price service must be top notch. Entrance price is very high for Belgrade and not redeemable on food and drinks like they do in other clubs like that around the world. Overall we had a good experience and a good pool day.

I strongly do not recommend this place. We came today, June 16th, walked around the complex, and didn’t like it at all — there’s very little space, the pools are small, and the quality of the furniture leaves much to be desired. We didn’t use any of the facilities, just looked around, then approached the administrator and asked for a refund because we didn’t like the place and didn’t want to stay. The administrator said she couldn’t give us a refund. No services were provided, but no one returned the money. The manager on the phone also refused to refund us, for reasons that remain unclear. This place is terrible. We will be filing complaints everywhere — this is no way to treat customers. We do not recommend this place to anyone!

Amazing new place in Belgrade, we stayed during the day, enjoyed very good cocktails and sun. Feels like we were in Dubai. :) Awesome place to chill with your girlfriend, way better than a regular coffee place.

Embark on a one-of-a-kind journey with YugoTour Communist and Architecture Tours in a Yugoslavian car. This tour offers an immersive experience, featuring a ride in a vintage Yugo while delving into the history of Yugoslavia. The "RISE & FALL OF A NATION" tour provides valuable insights into Serbia and Yugoslavia's complex past, allowing participants to engage with individuals who have firsthand experience of historic events.
I did the 'Rise & Fall' tour with YugoTour today and it was fantastic. I was the only person and they still ran the tour which I'm very appreciative of. My guide Luka was awesome, very friendly and welcoming from the beginning and very informative and answered every question I had. I can't recommend him highly enough. If you're in Belgrade and looking for a tour to do I highly recommend YugoTour, they offer a few different tours depending on what you're after. Driving around in the car was very fun too!

My husband and I took the Architectural Tour with Luka through YugoTour, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team was incredibly responsive and even allowed us to add a visit to Tito’s Train, which we were really excited to see. Luka was an amazing guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and able to share the history in a way that was both accessible and fascinating. My family actually lives in Belgrade, and even they don’t know the city’s history as well as Luka does! He pointed out places to visit and things to do that they hadn’t even heard of. The tour itself was fantastic, and riding around in a Yugo made it even more fun and memorable. We’re already looking forward to doing more tours with Yugotour when we come back.

We loved our Yugo tour with Alex. He is a great and knowledgeable guide, so we learned so much about Serbian and Yugoslavian history. We also took the chance to visit an apartment in the Genex building to learn more about the building and the work that Milan and his colleague do there. Smooth booking process, good communication, and great service all the way through - 100% recommend!

I had the pleasure of taking the “Rise and Fall of Yugoslavia” tour with Jelena, and it was absolutely fantastic! Jelena was incredibly knowledgeable and made complex history come alive. To our surprise, she spoke excellent Spanish, which made the tour even more enjoyable and accessible. She was also super friendly, approachable, and made everyone feel welcome. I learned so much about the history, culture, and stories of the region, and Jelena’s passion really shone through. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deep and engaging experience of Yugoslav history!

Yugotour – Belgrade An unforgettable experience! The guide had extensive knowledge and shared the history in a very engaging way. Highlights included the museum with Tito’s mausoleum, the stunning Cathedral of Saint Sava, and many other beautiful sights Belgrade has to offer. The ride in the Zastava made the day extra special. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming – the guide took time for everyone, was very friendly, and made us feel truly at home. This personal touch made the tour not only informative but also very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic tour of Belgrade’s Brutalist architecture with Nikita. He’s an intelligent and engaging guide who brought the city’s incredible built heritage to life with rich social context and history. Beyond his knowledge, he was a very nice guy and made the tour one of the true highlights of our trip to Belgrade. 100% recommended - thanks Nikita 🍀

I took the grand tour with Luka and everything was perfect! I asked to drive for as much as possible and I drove us to all the locations. The car was nice and well maintained. We had zero issues and I got exactly what I wanted, an 100% authentic yugo experience. Luka was super friendly and accommodating. I asked for specific locations I wanted to see and we adjusted the tour on the fly. Of course, he's knowledgeable and came prepared with maps and images he used when we had sit-downs to talk about the history of Yugoslavia. I'm so pleased with the tour that I would do the grand tour all over again. Thanks Luka!

Nestled atop a dramatic ridge, the Belgrade Fortress, also known as Kalemegdan Park, is an essential starting point for any exploration of this vibrant city. This historic site not only boasts stunning views over the confluence of two rivers but also serves as a sprawling park filled with lush greenery. The fortress itself is divided into Upper and Lower City sections, each brimming with attractions like the iconic Victor Monument, Military Museum, Nebojsa Tower, and Saint Petka's Church.
Excellent spot to explore, discover and stroll. Get those steps in because you could easily do 10,000 just exploring the citadel alone. Add in other amusements like the museums, medieval sports and restaurants and you could make a fun day of it
Chris B — Google review
Must vist place in belgrade serbia. The Fortress is a must visit when in the city. Originally built by the Romans in the 1st century AD, the fortress has seen countless empires rise and fall including Byzantine, Hungarian, Ottoman, and Austrian, each leaving its own mark. The Ottomans, who ruled Belgrade for nearly two centuries, rebuilt and expanded large parts of the fortress. You can still see traces of their presence in the design of the gates, the remains of the mosque near the Upper Town, and the general layout that reflects their military architecture. The surrounding Kalemegdan Park adds charm to the visit, offering shaded paths, sculptures, and views across the rivers. Key highlights within the fortress include the Victor Monument, and the Military Museum, which houses weapons from various periods of Serbian and Balkan. Great history, great view, great vepons

Kalemegdan is Belgrade’s crown jewel—a vast fortress and park where history and nature meet. Overlooking the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, it offers stunning panoramic views, leafy walking paths, and impressive fortifications dating back centuries. Inside, you’ll find museums, monuments, and lively cafes. It’s perfect for a sunset stroll or a peaceful escape from the city’s buzz. A must-see for anyone visiting Belgrade, blending culture, history, and scenic beauty in one spot.

I went here on the 31/8/2025 and I had such a bad experience. The park looked like it was from a war zone with trash, used syringes, faeces, urine and weeds everywhere. Really third world country conditions. It was full of people begging and homeless people that were screaming at the top of their lungs for no reason and the area generally felt really unsafe. I would not recommend visiting it under no circumstances. So sad

The Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade is a tribute to the life and work of the renowned electrical engineer, Nikola Tesla. Housed in a charming residential villa, it showcases his personal effects, instruments, and original drawings that revolutionized energy production and distribution. The museum offers both memorial exhibits and interactive displays featuring 3D computer-generated models of Tesla's inventions.
We visited the Nikola Tesla Museum. We got in at the last minute! Please note that they don’t accept euros or credit cards inside — only Serbian dinars, so be prepared. The visit is organized in groups, and make sure to join the famous fluorescent light experiment — it’s so much fun! It was an amazing experience overall. The video about Tesla’s life at the beginning was very emotional and touching.
CEREN E — Google review
The plus side - it’s set up very well to learn more about the history, life and work of Tesla, and there are some great opportunities to see working models of some of his inventions, along with personal artifacts. The down side is that the museum is fairly small, and with large groups, it can be pretty crowded. There is also no way to secure tickets ahead of time, unless you’re with a larger group, and you can only pay in cash.
Lindsay B — Google review
Big disappointment. 1) at least the price is ok , 800 dinars , it’s NOT possible to book online or NOT able to pay with CARD , so you have to wait outside in the rain until they will let you know if you can enter or not since the tour can only accommodate maximum 60 people. I’m not sure why they don’t count 60 people that enter at the gate and then tell the other ones to come back in one hour instead of letting us wait in the rain for an hour. 2) this is actually a very small exhibition, I think the exhibition area is the size of an apartment. It feels more like a high school class lab room than an actual museum. The guide told us that the city is building a bigger and better museum because is very small. ( I think the size has been okay until Elon Musk became famous with the Tesla cars so people started knowing about Nicola Tesla, this is probably the reason why 99% of the people knows about Nicola Tesla) 3) 60 people get crammed on plastic foldable chair chairs in a small room. You feel like a sardine and then they show you a 15 minute video made 10 years ago about the life of Nicola Tesla. 4) then you have 15 minutes where the guide turns on 3 or 4 instruments that Tesla invented. Nothing special if you go to any serious science museum you we’ll see a better and bigger version of this instruments. Not mentioning that you are climbed into a very small room that you can’t even move. 5) then you have another 10 minutes to see a few objects that belonged to Nicola Tesla and then after 45 minutes .
Scotch&Soda — Google review
The museum itself is tiny, they only accept local currency in cash. No forex or card accepted. There is no online ticket to purchase, you need to keep standing in queue for hours for hourly slot. Try to avoid last hours as if its full, regardless of time you been standing they wont allow you to come as they can accept people more then its capacity. Once you are inside, the tour is good, they guide you everywhere
* B — Google review
The museum takes 45 minutes to go around. But that's mainly because you have to wait 5-10 minutes to go through ticketing (and they only accept cash rather than card), and then you have to wait for everyone to get seated. They pack a lot of people into this space so it takes a long time to be ready. The video goes for 15 minutes and probably could be updated and sped up. But realistically you should be abke visit the museum and just skip the video if you want to. They do some good experiment demonstrations, but again, could probably run them twice an hour get more people through the facility - there winds up being so many people in the group that not everyone gets a decent view. overall it's not bad and gives an inside into the man and some of his activities but it's a very small museum.
Brent J — Google review
Just don’t bother to get there . We were waiting for 3 hours as only 60 people can enter each time . You pay only cash and watching for half an hour something that you could easily find on YouTube , then the tour guide shares live some experiments (for kids) and then on the same floor you can check a few personal things of Tesla and his ashes 😏 Just don’t waste your time and money . Belgrade is beautiful choose something else .
Barbara Z — Google review
Interesting experience very educating. The visits can only be done in guided groups but even on a busy day the wait was not too long. The experiments were fun. A lot of personal items of Tesla are on display. I do not recommend this museum for very young children since there’s a 15 min film and a small 20-30 min tour. They might get bored and interrupt the experience for others.
Zoe S — Google review
Not worth the visit. A lot of waiting for a video made in 2015. Explanation not in good English easy to understand. 60 people in each tour you cannot see things well. Not enough seats. I’ve learned more from him in science museums. You cannot pay by card!!! You have to pay cash and local currency!!! You cannot book and then a disappointment.

Kalemegdan is a sprawling park that houses a historic fortress, complete with a museum and zoo. The park offers scenic walking paths and stunning views of the nearby rivers. Adjacent to the park, visitors can explore a charming street lined with ice cream shops, coffee houses, bakeries, and various retail spaces offering handcrafted and vintage items. Belgrade's top attraction, Kalemegdan Park or Belgrade Fortress, provides panoramic views of the city and its surroundings.
Wow. What a site! It is large and so much to explore. There are multiple viewing points of the sava and Danube rivers, lots of gates, bridges and battlements to cross and climb. A rich history with lots of attractions within the walls too. So go on foot, take some water with you and enjoy the fort. There are some nice museums, churches and displays to find within the walled keep.

Kalemegdan is Belgrade’s historic heart, where the mighty fortress meets peaceful parkland. Overlooking the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, it offers sweeping views, ancient walls, and layers of Serbian history. Nestled within a historic fortress, the Military Museum in Belgrade offers an intriguing glimpse into the military heritage of Serbia. This captivating museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts and weaponry that spans both ancient and modern times. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of military history, exploring exhibits featuring tanks, cannons, and various combat equipment like shields, spears, swords, and daggers. The museum serves as a reminder of how past military endeavors have shaped nations today.
An expansive museum covering Serbia's history of warfare throughout the ages. Numerous props are displayed next to each annotation (which are also in English), leading to a very informative experience. There are also numerous photos of past conflicts. Numerous old military vehicles and machines are on display outside and there's a great view of Belgrade from the western cliffside.
Perth2Go A — Google review
Outside has various tanks and machines which are free to see. Inside is split over 2 floors and is in chronological order of history. For anyone who likes military history there is a lot to see. Most signs are in Serbian only. It does mention to download an app and scan for other languages but couldn't seem to find it. Bags have to be left in lockers and you have to go through a metal detector. The lady on the desk didn't have the right change, so we were told to go round and she'd have it at the end. When we asked for it she suddenly didn't speak English so unfortunately had to leave without it. Make sure you have the right money before entering if you don't speak the native language.
H C — Google review
This museum has so much potential and so many incredible artifacts - but lacks maintenance, and is trapped in 1960s. Such a pity! Hard for foreigners to explore and immerse themselves into it when there is almost nothing in English language. I really hope that in few years it will be renewed. For people who understand Serbian, it is still really good.
Milica T — Google review
Very interesting location of the museum - it's located in the heart of the fortress. The country has very rich military history, so in the museum you will be able to see exponents from different eras, such as wars during Ottoman empire and second World war. Although there is information displayed over the museum it is recommended to have an excursion with the guide for the full experience.
Alex N — Google review
Impressive museum of Serbia's military history, from Roman times through the 1999 Kosovo War. Lots of well preserved weapons, armor, uniforms, and awards. Entry to the museum is 350 dinars (≈€3) payable in cash, but there are also many vehicles and artillery pieces outside which can be viewed for free. Some of the plaques are weathered, both indoors and outdoors, making them difficult to read, and there are some translations to English and Russian as well (although there are less of the latter), but not everything has them, and there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason when and when not they were placed. The Serbian text also varies between the Cyrillic and Latin scripts depending on the item, also without a clear pattern, making it difficult for visitors from neighboring countries which only use the Latin script to fully appreciate all the content of the museum. The presentation itself is fairly neutral. The exhibits mostly just display equipment without much additional commentary beyond basic historical context. As an American living in Croatia, I did not feel like I was walking through a Serbian propaganda tour or anything like that, it's just of a collection of artifacts. Overall though, it's definitely worth the visit if you're into military history or equipment, even if you can't read Serbian Cyrillic, it's mostly just cool weapons and armor, and is pretty easy to follow and get an idea of what everything is. With more comprehensive foreign language translations and some maintenance, I would definitely give this a fifth star.
Benjamin M — Google review
Most interesting museum I went to in Belrade. Not much on the signs to explain all the exhibits but chatgpt was of huge help here. There are loads and loads of maps which were super interesting to see how the people and nations changed over time. All the past conflicts in the region and how Yugoslavia came to be, from local tribes to Ottoman and Habsburg empires battling each other on these lands. Not much on recent history but outside are tanks etc. on display.
Lukas H — Google review
If you like history this is the right place for you ! Outside collection it’s amazing but inside the museum it’s even better ! Be ready to walk and read for few hours .You can book your tour guide in advance . Must see !
Vesna B — Google review
It’s definitely worth a visit but it’s not in a great state. More explanations in English are needed, sometimes there’s only Serbian or the English part is very short. The location of the museum is amazing and all the canons and tanks in front of it and in the nearby park make it a great experience.

The National Museum of Serbia is a large museum featuring a renowned European art collection, ancient artifacts, and historical objects. The building's Bauhaus-style facade sets the stage for an impressive interior just a short walk from popular tourist spots like Knez Mihailova and the Theater. Meanwhile, the Yugoslav History Museum showcases Tito's personal belongings, cultural artifacts, and temporary exhibitions in a post-war era building.
The National Museum of Serbia is a must-visit for art and history enthusiasts. Its collection includes a wide range of paintings, sculptures, and historical artifacts. The layout is well-organized, making it easy to explore the exhibits. Staff members are helpful and provide useful information about the displays. Visiting the museum offers a deep insight into Serbia’s rich cultural heritage.

Of course, you can't compare the museum to other big collections. But if you are visiting city center it is really worth to enjoy for two or three hours from the collection of archeology and fine arts. In Sundays the administration is free. If you drive to the city there is big parking garage which is near the republic square i recommend to use it.

Laura C — Google review
I went here on the 31/8/2025 and I had a nightmare experience. I don’t even know where to begin with. The opening hours are horrible and they honestly make no sense. The entrance in on the side of the building and when I was there I waited over three hours in line just to get told that I could not bring my suitcase even tough the museum has a big storage room. Absolutely ridiculous. After I left my suitcase at a luggage store I went to the museum again and had to wait in line for over three hours all over again. The staff was rude, disrespectful and did not had any interest whatsoever in the visitors. On Sunday the ticket is free for everyone so that’s good but the administration is just the worst. The museum looks like it has never been cleaned in its life and it’s just full of trash and dust everywhere. It’s a real shame because the works of art are beautiful and interesting but the management doesn’t do them justice. It also lacks an audioguide. Such a shame

Great collection, 2nd floor are paintings from 14-20C with interesting depictions and for the late art trying to feature authors from or in Serbia (great) 1st floor is all about the great history about Serbia. I visited on week day. It’s awesome, not so many people and enjoying the museum quietly. The entrance is in the side not the one facing the saques. Prepare some cash, when I was there the card machine is down, only take cash. Staffs are old and helpful.

Located in the heart of the city, in the Republic Square, the main entrance is under renovation and the side entrance is open. The first floor features pottery, tools, bronze weapons, and amber jewelry from the Neolithic to the Roman period. The second floor is an art exhibition featuring paintings by Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Gauguin, and other masters. My daughter and I were thrilled to see them. The sculpture of a woman with a veil showcases superb carving techniques. It's definitely worth bringing the kids here; we checked in three times.

A must in Belgrad. A piece of history of Serbia but also some other art pieces from Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, Monet, Canaletto,...Very very recommended. I would go back. Price is fair, security people at the entrance but also the rest of the workers are very nice. I must say they have the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in my life. Nestled within the historic Kalemegdan Fortress, Ružica Church stands as a testament to Belgrade's rich heritage. This Serbian Orthodox church, dedicated to Saint Mary, is not only the oldest in the city but also one of Serbia's most significant religious sites. Its origins trace back to the 13th century, with its first documented mention appearing in the 1400s.
Possibly the most beautiful church in Belgrade, especially considering the locations and views. The original church was built in the early 15th century. It was remodelled in 1869 and fully reconstructed in 1925. Pay close attention to the chandeliers once inside and don’t be shy to ask pa priest or a souvenir shop worker about their history, most of them speak English and are happy to have a chat.
İsidora — Google review
Located within the storied walls of Belgrade’s Kalemegdan Fortress, Ružica Church is a hidden gem that whispers tales of resilience and devotion. At over five centuries old, this petite yet enchanting sanctuary sits just below the fortress ramparts, offering serene views of the confluence where the Sava and Danube rivers embrace. Its unassuming exterior belies an interior rich with warmth and intimacy, where flickering candlelight dances across elegant frescoes and timeworn stone. What truly sets Ružica Church apart is its poignant homage to history. Guarding the entrance are solemn soldier sculptures, silent sentinels reflecting Belgrade’s turbulent past and the church’s origins as a spiritual haven for soldiers. Inside, the fusion of faith and fortitude deepens: chandeliers crafted from repurposed World War I bullets and artillery shells dangle from the ceiling, while intricate weaponry-inspired ornaments line the walls. These artifacts, shaped by the hands of Serbian soldiers, transform the space into a living museum of sacrifice and ingenuity. Stepping into Ružica feels like entering a sacred dialogue between peace and perseverance—a place where quiet reflection meets the echoes of battles long past. For travelers seeking both beauty and a profound connection to Serbia’s enduring spirit, this church is an unmissable stop in Belgrade.

A Hidden Orthodox Gem in the Heart of Belgrade As a recently baptized English Orthodox catechumen, visiting Serbia has been a profound and moving experience. This country is rich in living Orthodoxy, and places like the Church of Ružica are not rare exceptions—but beautiful reminders of how deeply faith is woven into everyday life here. Ružica Church is truly a hidden gem. Nestled within the Kalemegdan Fortress, it offers an atmosphere of peace, reverence, and beauty that’s hard to describe. We attended a Friday service dedicated to Saint Petka, held in the nearby chapel bearing her name. The service was intimate, prayerful, and deeply touching. What makes the experience even more meaningful for our family is that, when we visit Serbia, we are welcomed to partake in the Holy Mysteries. Being able to receive the Holy Eucharist in such sacred places has become the heart of our trips—transforming them from holidays into spiritual nourishment. This church is well worth a visit—not just as a historical or architectural site, but as a living place of worship. Services and Divine Liturgies are held daily, and for Orthodox Christians, receiving Communion while in Serbia is something we now see as essential. Highly recommended to anyone seeking authentic Orthodoxy and a deeper connection with Christ through His Church.

Beautiful orthodox church located on the side of the hill near the fortress of Belgrade. There was a church with the same name, which was destroyed in 1521 by the Ottomans. Rebuilt, it was used as a place to stock powder for canon in the XVIII century, like a military church. Severely damaged during the World War I, Ruzica was restaured in 1925 and shows its actual beauty to those who will find it.

If you notice, the chandeliers are made out of ammunition. Apparently, WWI ammunition was used together with midevil swords and cannon shells... impressive and must see place!

There was a mass when I visited here. I was very impressed. For about 1-2 hours, I had goosebumps every now and then when I thought about it. I was able to get rid of the evening effect. Orthodox churches have always been more impressive to me. It is very small but must be visited.

NEBOJŠA Restaurant, located at the park entrance, has been a beloved spot for over 30 years. It's known for its homemade cuisine and welcoming atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over Serbia. The restaurant offers a delightful mix of Serbian and Italian food, served with warm hospitality. Guests praise the fresh local ingredients prepared with love and skill, resulting in perfect dishes like roasted lamb and potatoes that set a new standard.
Nikola and his crew served us a fantastic lunch! Great food and atmosphere – highly recommended. We had a lovely meal here last night, with personal recommendations right for us.

Salmon with sesame was perfect. If you visit Belgrad you should eat Salmon with sesame in Nebojša Restaurant. Vegetable soup that includes zucchini, carrot, onion and potato was also good. Greek salad was close to standarts. But I didn't like dessert that was similar to Baklava. Dry plum was covered by dough in the dessert.

We had a nice time dining with friends. We chose a menu to try different dishes, the starters were correct. The fish was well cooked and tasty. But the veal and beef were really amazing. The food was delicious. Of course, the service was of great quality. Great experience worth doing.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you love quiet, cosy, elegant atmosphere, delicious food and really good choice of fine wines. Enjoy!
Anna S — Google review
They had a menu of about 6 dishes and waiter told us they dont have ingredients for 2 of them, also with very short cocktail list and once again, they told us they couldn’t make any of them but Aperol spritz. On top of that the restaurant was completely empty and the waiter was shy and silent which made the atmosphere very uncomfortable . I ordered a beer and another waiter told my girlfriend he can make a custom cocktail with each ingredient listed separately. Although the ambient of the restaurant was very nice, the service was a complete disaster. They charged us 2300 dinars for that…

Amazing place and atmosphere, right next to the temple of saint sava. The staff were great and even though we were in a very large group catered so well for everyone. Every dish they brought out they explained what it was which was very nice. It was a great introduction to Serbian food which was absolutely delicious. The pulled lamb prepared in some kind of milk sauce was absolutely mouth watering. I would definitely go again and try some other dishes. Little on the expensive side but for me was worth the price.

First to say a nice location with a terrace over looking the park. So on a nice warm day this is a great location. A mixture of Serbian and Italian food on the menu. Service was good here and friendly. The food though for the price was average

Without a doubt, this was our best meal in Serbia. What good food is to me: the freshest local ingredients prepared with love and skill and presented in perfect, glorious simplicity. No element here could have been improved upon. My husband had the roasted lamb and potatoes. I have traveled in many countries where lamb is a specialty, but Nebojša sets a new standard. The simple little potatoes were somehow amazing. Perfection! I wasn't as hungry and ordered the humble pljeskavica, essentially a hamburger steak. This unassuming meal took me to the moon and back. I will never think of hamburger steak the same way again. Mind blown, wow! If you visit Belgrade, please give yourself time to make it here at least once. The service was perfect and equal to the quality of the meal. The ambience enhanced the meal as the music was just right and the decor comfortable and inviting. The restaurant itself is set at the edge of a park and easily accessible by bus 31 from the very central Hotel Moskva. Thank you, Nebojša!

Mama Shelter Belgrade is a vibrant dining destination nestled atop the Rajiceva Shopping Center, right in the bustling heart of the city on Knez Mihailova Street. This lively restaurant and bar boasts modern decor that exudes an artsy vibe, filled with colorful elements and intriguing artifacts that invite exploration. Guests can enjoy a delightful meal or drink while taking in stunning views from the rooftop terrace.
A Gem in the Heart of BelgradeAn excellent establishment nestled in the heart of the old town, discreetly perched atop a shopping centre. This location offers stunning views of Kalemegdan, the Sava River, and New Belgrade. The quality of the dishes leaves you with delightful impressions, and although the prices are above average, the food is undoubtedly worth it. I was particularly impressed by the concept of the dining area—divided into zones with various design touches, which lend the entire restaurant a unique charm. The non-smoking section was a welcome surprise as well! Overall, a very commendable place. I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time at Mama Restaurant in Belgrade. We tried two delicious desserts that were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The view from the restaurant was truly impressive and added to the overall experience. The service was fast, attentive, and very friendly, which made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was modern yet cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a sweet break. We would definitely recommend Mama Restaurant to anyone looking for good desserts, great service, and an amazing view over the city.

Mama Shelter honestly surprised me in the best way. I had the ćevapi and dare I say — I liked it even more than one of the city’s most famous ćevapi spots. The flavor was rich, the texture was perfect, and it was cooked to perfection. The fries I ordered on the side were crispy and delicious — a great match. Special shoutout to Lorna, who took great care of us with her warm smile and friendly service. If you’re ever in Belgrade, do yourself a favor and drop by this place. You won’t regret it!

Mama Shelter is not ordinary hotel – it’s colorful, modern, and full of life. The staff made check-in so easy, and my room was spotless with quirky details that made me smile. The mattress and pillows were heavenly, and I slept better than at home. The breakfast buffet was generous, with both international and local specialties – I still think about the homemade ajvar. A great way to start exploring Belgrade.

As you stroll through the charming streets of Dorcol, the enticing aroma of grilled meat will lead you to Loki, a beloved culinary gem in Belgrade. Open around the clock, this local hotspot is renowned for its mouthwatering pljeskavica and other Balkan delights. Whether you're staying at CityZen or just exploring the city, Loki offers a delightful experience with juicy burgers and fresh ingredients that keep patrons coming back for more.
I am from Sarajevo, we cherish the good pljeskavica, even after 3 times moving around still the best in this part of the world

A nice hole in the wall spot, we ended up ordering the Maxi Leskovacka Burger and the Cevapi sandwich. It was nice because she asked what toppings you wanted like Urnebes salad, mayonaise, ketchup, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and other things. Overall really great price for the quantity of food, also the food is pretty solid as well. The lady working is nice, a bit of a language barrier for English but also my Serbian is non-existant so it was ok.
Josh B — Google review
Amazing leskovacka pljeskavica, the ladies that work here are super nice. They even have a cute table under a tree if you want to eat outside. The meat is very delicious, we chose the spicy burger, the bun is fresh and a lot of salad options. Keep in mind this is cash only place.

Marina and Sneza were amazing taking my order and translating my poor Serbian from Canajian English... I'm not sure if they were flirting with me however, the cevapi, and service, and roadside seats were/are amazing!!!!! The atmosphere in Serbia is just amazing compared to the west. I'll be back daily to Loki during my visit to Serbia (paradise).

Went there for the Pljeskavica and it was decent. I got the sandwich some Urnebes. Also got some fries. Everything tasted good and the service was friendly too.
Kunal B — Google review
I had another pljeskavica in city center before this and I was not very found of it , maybe the meat was too fried. In Loki the meat was very good , juicy and the bread was soft. 4 stars because it could be better service and packing. And only cash. Still I will return for sure I recommend trying.
Adrian M — Google review
Loki had awesome meet! I can see why it's in business since '89! Place was full and while we were waiting orders were coming in all the time by phone and in person. They made the minced meat mix on the spot and grilled everything fresh.
Mariana V — Google review
So, let's start from the beginning. On first approach we were treated very rudely. As our only lady friend asked for a dish on the menu she was yelled at because "they don't have it on the menu!". After ordering some ćevapi and pljeskavica we, with great pain, chose what condiments we want on our bread. It seemed like the employee hated every second of it. And so did we. After sitting down and finally recieving our food we with no pleasure proceeded to chew on the tasteless meat in a week old and cold bun. Upon reaching our limit of the "food" we were able to consume my friend went to get a drink to wash out the flavour. He was yelled at because he was apparently making the aforementioned employee "stressed out" by standing next to the fridge. After that we immediately left as we were fed up with the situation. But wait! The horror didn't end there. Our poor Airbnb host will be cleaning her toilets for years to come from what this disgusting four star fast food did to our tummies. I shall go into no further detail of the night that followed. In conclusion, this place sucks. Don't come here, unless you are very constipated! Enjoy Belgrade!!

Seafood restaurant
An impeccable spot, from the food to the service to the stunning view of the Danube River. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for seafood in Belgrade. My personal favorite is their fried squid—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served in a generous portion. Paired with tartar sauce, it’s everything you could ask for. They also offer a variety of freshly caught river fish, though if you’re after something more unique, like sterlet, you’ll need to explore other riverside restaurants. The atmosphere is perfect for adults—you can enjoy a pleasant conversation with your date without being drowned out by loud music or noise. Highly recommended!

Inside water. Great views of water and boats. The fried white fish was tasty. Calamari were chewy. The fries were a joke. Fish soup with red pepper was good. Nice music and very professional customer service. A bit too pricy for the overall food quality but I guess you mostly pay for the views and upscale venue.

The place is a bit harder to find but is really good. The interior atmosphere is amazing and sometimes there is live music. In some hours you might struggle finding a seat especially if there is music that night. So i would advise reservation. Outside is great too it has a great view and is quiet enough regarding traffic and city nosies. Staff is nice and helpful and it is near all important bus stations but parking space is a no no. You have to find parking in the streets nearby or parking garage in the pionir park.

We came here for a drink during the day and to enjoy the view in the sun. I’m only rating the view and the service. Service was fast and friendly. Be aware that you can only pay cash at this place. Inside there is smoking allowed. We loved the view!

This bar is hard to find (other people on here have explained how to find it) but in my opinion it‘s really worth it! It has a very unique & cool atmosphere - it‘s intentonally not fancy, kind of industrial and very eastern, but that somehow makes it very cozy and it feels like a second living room of your balkan grandpa (if that makes sense). It‘s on the last floor and has very cool views. Unfortunately, when we were there the terrace wasn’t open. Sometimes there‘s live concerts. Also, I had the best sex on the beach that I‘ve ever had so far. In the evenings they don’t have food (at least when I was there on Sunday) and they only take cash. I would recommend, especially if you want to do sth less touristy.

The area is known for its vibrant nightlife, with nearby restaurants like Impression Lanzhou and Panda Tianfu. Additionally, the square is home to prestigious cultural institutions such as the National Museum and National Theatre.
It feels like the true heart of Belgrade. During the day, it’s full of energy and at night, it lights up with color, life, and excitement. There’s always something happening around you; with pubs, cafes, and shops everywhere, time just flies. People fill the streets, music drifts in from a distance, and the whole atmosphere makes you feel like this is where the city truly breathes.

This medium size square is a popular place in the center of Belgrade. It looks a little cold except for the huge statue of Prince Michel riding a horse and facing you. I went here on the 31/8/2025 and the square was dead until late in the afternoon. Not a single person in sight behind homeless people suffering from clear and severe mental health issues that were screaming at the top of their lungs while they were straying at me like crazy. The square was also extremely dirty with faeces, urine, trash and used syringes and it looked like it had never been taken care off or in general even cleans in its life. The area felt unsafe. A real shame

We stayed for 3 days and 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience! Rooms are big and clean, description and photos of the rooms matched what we saw inside. The location of the hotel was perfect to reach all of the attractions we wanted to see. The fact that it is located above the mall means you have easy access to a variety of stores and restaurants. The food is decent—traditional Serbian cuisine, although slightly more expensive compared to similar places in the city. The ambiance is very pleasant and nicely done. However, the staff is extremely unfriendly, especially the waiter Nikola, who refused to call a taxi despite receiving a generous tip. Because of this, the overall impression and atmosphere are far from great.

I like this place in some way. Portions are pretty big, prices are the same with other places. The coffee was 6/10. It was really bitter and the reason was clear to realize. The service was good in terms of the attitude for 💯 The guy was very friendly, pleasant to speak to even he worked alone what is not that easy with such amount of guests that day. The food was good, my cevapi were a little bit salty for me, but the sauce was so delicious. And the atmosphere is nice, cozy and comfortable to sit inside or outside. Judging by the number of parishioners (today, it seems, I was the only tourist), the place is “prayed” or, in modern terms, popular. Of course, the holiday (Ascension, or Apple Savior) had an influence. But it seems to me that people come here willingly. Yes, Serbs also bless apples on this day, but I thought that this was one of the features of Russian Orthodoxy) However, this is a pagan tradition that Christianity had to accept, which once again emphasizes the common roots of the Slavic peoples) (Original) Очень простой, без изысков храм: светлый и чистый. (Translated by Google) The Church of the Holy Trinity was built on the very border of the municipalities of Vračar and Voždovac, on Pašina brdo. It belongs to the Belgrade-Karlovica archbishopric. The original chapel was the summer home of Duke Bojović, which was converted into a small church. It was consecrated in 1935 in the summer of the Lord and the old iconostasis from the church of St. Sava was transferred to it. The chapel was a temporary solution until enough money was raised to build a large temple. It was very important for the spiritual life of the capital, because at that time this was the only church from the temple of Saint Sava to Grocka, and it served about a hundred thousand citizens. Ever since the allied bombing of Belgrade on May 18, 1944, during which this part of the city suffered great suffering, even though there were no military facilities nearby, every year on that day a memorial service has been held for the dead. As early as 1935, the church municipality began to negotiate the purchase of land for the construction of a new church, but it did so only after the end of the war in 1947, buying land from Karl Husnjik at the intersection of Trebinjska, Kruševačka and Kolašinska streets. It is the most beautiful location on the hill, in the place where the Czech colony used to be. However, the pagan communist regime soon nationalized this land with the explanation that a park would be built on that location, which was done. The church municipality, having no other solution, on September 22, 1953, in the summer of the Lord, decided to buy the building where the chapel was already located. It was demolished in 2018 due to dilapidation, and a new church dedicated to the Holy Trinity was built in its place. The construction of the new church began in September of the same year and the works are nearing completion. During the works, services are held in the parish hall, which is also new and whose construction was completed in 2017. The new church was built according to the plans of architect Aleksandar Lukić. If you live nearby, or find yourself in this part of the city, I heartily recommend you to visit this sanctuary!

Japanese restaurant
Ebisu rooftop restaurant is a remarkable Japanese dining destination situated atop the stylish Square Nine Hotel in Belgrade's city center. The warm and attentive staff provides impeccable service, making guests feel like part of the family. The carefully curated ambiance, both indoors and outdoors during summer, enhances the dining experience. Guests can expect high-quality Japanese dishes made with exceptional ingredients and remarkable service from a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
After we reserved a table of 5 for dinner we checked the google review which scared us at the beginning and wanted to go somewhere else. Good we did not change our minds. Food was great and service as well. Tuna tartar with truffle was one of the best I’ve had so far. Sushi also very good. Prices are a bit high if you compare to other places, but you pay for quality.

Oh wow, what an experience. The Japanese chef, Rio with his many years of experience around the world, continued to impress with his friendly attitude, and deep understanding of the ingredients he is working with. Sometimes being as authentic as can be, yet sometimes showing me a twist of local ingredients and his Japanese style mixed. I had heard good things from my Japanese friend, but was still surprised in the most positive way. The atmosphere and staff were also so good, combined with the location, my bill felt very reasonable in the end. I will be back soon.

The food was very elegantly put ( like in michelin restaurants)very tasty and generous you could see the chef Ryo in action how skilled he is. just stand and see him. Service was very polite and the dishes were served in the best timing. the atmosphere was intimate with low music in the background

Ebisu Rooftop Restaurant in Belgrade, Serbia, is truly a culinary gem, elevating the dining experience to new heights—both literally and figuratively. Perched on a rooftop overlooking the city, this remarkable restaurant offers not only breathtaking views but also an unforgettable gastronomic journey. The first photo highlights the meticulous attention to detail in grating authentic wasabi using traditional tools. It reflects the restaurant’s commitment to blending Japan’s time-honored aesthetic with modern flair. The sight is captivating, showcasing the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves. The second photo features a stunning dish with vibrant slices of tuna, drizzled with a rich, creamy sauce, accompanied by fresh vegetables and delicate edible flowers. Presented in an elegant bowl, this dish is a feast for the eyes as much as the palate, satisfying both with every bite. The savory tuna, the freshness of the vegetables, and the subtle floral notes harmonize beautifully, showcasing the chef’s skill and passion. This restaurant is beyond words but I will try. I can honestly say, Ebisu in Belgrade was one of my top restaurant experiences I have ever had. The decor was minimalist chic, the service was fantastic and the food was out of this world. My taste buds exploded with flavors that transported me to the heavens. The master chef Rio was the magician behind this life altering experience. I implore anyone coming to Belgrade to enjoy this wonderful dining extravaganza. This place puts Nobu to shame. Best sushi in the world!!

I think I’ve tried every sushi place in town, but this one has no competition! Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but you’re paying for absolute top-notch quality. We sat right in front of the chef, watching him prepare and serve each dish at the perfect pace — it felt like a true gastronomic journey! Rio is from another world: like watching a pianist and a surgeon at the same time, all while wearing a huge, warm smile. Huge recommendation!

Historical landmark
The Serbian TV Centre in Belgrade stands as a haunting reminder of the NATO bombing in 1999. The ruins, reinforced by metal constructions, bear witness to the 78 days of bombing and 2700 tons of explosives. Visiting this site offers a glimpse into the dark times and serves as a live proof that the world is not always portrayed as it seems on mainstream media.
Still exists, but has changed a little bit.
