Central Hotel Sofia is a straightforward accommodation option located in the heart of Sofia. The hotel offers a variety of rooms, including compact doubles, studios with kitchenettes, interconnected rooms, and two-roomed apartments. While the decor is modern and functional rather than cozy, recent renovations have refreshed the lobby and reception areas. Guests can enjoy a modest restaurant as well as comprehensive wellness facilities such as a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and massages.
Excellent experience for my 3 day stay at this hotel. I booked a transfer from the airport as I was getting in late, he waited for me & was a very pleasant guide as he drove through the city to the hotel. The room & bathroom were very clean, spacious & comfortable for a solo traveler with good air con. Tv has apps like Netflix, Disney, Prime so you can log into your account and watch your shows for any time spent in the room. Toiletries provided in the bathroom, mini bar if you need it & a good hairdryer. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice & I was well fed & set up for the day. Restaurant on site and food available to order all day. Plenty of shops/mini markets around the block for supplies. Location was perfect for me, short walk from Serdika (5 mins) & all the attractions I wanted to visit & the stadium for a gig. Very walkable city (even in the heat) plenty of options for eating and drinking. Highly recommend & will book again if I ever go back to Sofia

Central Hotel Sofia – Bulgaria Very good hotel in the center of Sofia. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent – many options and very tasty. All the workers are friendly, kind and helpful. Everything was very organized and clean. The only problem: the night lights (lamps) in the room didn’t work. Still, I really recommend this hotel. I would stay here again!
Emy S — Google review
This was a nice hotel located in a walkable area of Sofia. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast food was excellent, but the music played at breakfast was loud and disruptive where it was hard to have a conversation. It was like late night bar music. The staff also engaged in loud conversations at breakfast, which seemed to be shouting. Very unpleasant way to start your day, which occurred each day. Otherwise, was a nice stay
Terry T — Google review
Location is GREAT! Prices are GREAT! But it’s a bit weird you’re charging around €7,50 per person extra for the spa area… this should be included in the night price, so perhaps increase it rather than having guests pay extra- this is a bad first impression/experience when checking in the hotel.
OyV — Google review
Surprisingly bad hotel. The only good thing is its location, otherwise - rude staff, terrible parking for its price and when we were checking out, a reception person tried to blame us in taking some beer from the bar that we had not taken just in case we would be stupid enough to pay. I do not recommend staying there and will not be surprised if they pay for deleting bad reviews on various platforms.
Mark M — Google review
The hotel is very nice and corresponds well to its star rating. The staff are polite and helpful, and the location is excellent, just a short walk from the city center. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
FantaSticJatsKy — Google review
In gerenal, I liked this hotel. It's a good place to stay in Sofia. Close to the most of the sightseeing places. The breakfast is amazing, there are lots of variety of options to choose, and they are updating everything all the time. However, there wer two things I didn't like: 1. Even though the hotel provides 24/7 receiptin service, the latest checkin should be till 00:00. I have booked the hotel 2 times - for the begining of my trip and for the last day after travelling to another city. Then I had to cancel the first booking as the hotel let me know that I shoud be checking in until 00:00, while my flight was arriving at 01:30am the next day. 2. On the last day of my trip I stayed in the hotel, everything was seemed fresh and clean, however I found a family of cockroaches in the bathroom and killed 3 of them :((((

Solid hotel for the price. Good showers and bathrooms, beds are alright. Would recommend families with teens booked 2 rooms

Grand Hotel Sofia is a luxurious hotel located in the commercial area of Sofia, within walking distance to iconic landmarks such as the 'Ivan Vazov' National Theater and City Garden. The hotel offers 122 modern rooms and suites with stunning views of the city center. Guests can enjoy two restaurants, bars, a cafe, and even a nightclub on-site. The hotel also boasts an original collection of over 400 oil paintings for guests to admire.
Historic hotel right in the center, with massive rooms (at least mine, 804 was) with great housekeeping and room amenities. Yes, it is a bit old school, but kept up pretty nicely, so no complaints here. Breakfast selection is not super extensive but has quality items, and thats more important. Overall, great experience, thank you for the stay.

A reservation by any other name is still a reservation. We had reserved a balcony/terrace room with a garden view (extra 45 euro) for 3 nights through the hotel website. Our travel was delayed for the first night due to an unexpected business meeting in Bucharest. I emailed them that we would be arriving early the next morning. They indicated, no problem. We have your room. When we arrived, we were assigned a beautiful room on the top floor with a great terrace/balcony but with a view of a big apartment building directly across from us (see attached photo). Certainly not what we were expecting. When I asked about it at the front desk, the young lady informed me that I had not paid for a garden view (technically true since you pay for your stay as you check out at the end of your stay). But she was missing the point of our reservation, through which I had agreed to pay an extra for a garden view. Frustrating!! Apparently, they gave our nice room away to someone else. So instead, we woke up to have coffee on the terrace watching people get ready for work in their apartments. There was not even the slightest acknowledgement from the hotel that they had mishandled the situation. No apology. Nothing. So yes, 4 stars instead of 5. Beautiful hotel, but the policies need to change. A reservation is a reservation, whether you’ve paid in advance or not.
Dan P — Google review
Absolutely wonderful hotel right in the heart of Sofia. Our room was massive and very comfortable. The restaurant had a great breakfast, but did not eat there for other meals. Assume it would be good for dinner, too. Didn't sample the other amenities like the gym or the spa, but they looked nice (although they were kind of in a weird part of the hotel, essentially the basement). The staff was very nice and helpful. Only reason for "4" on service was a few little hiccups on our transfers from airport and to Sunny Beach. Both ended up fine, but didn't go as smoothly as we hoped. The hotel did, however, provide an acceptable remedy.
Gregory L — Google review
A truly unique experience in a royal setting. The rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is delicious and varied, and the staff are exceptionally kind. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a few minutes’ walk from the main tourist attractions. An ideal place to stay that combines comfort, warm service, and a prime location.
Laura — Google review
The hotel has everything you need to have perfect stay in the city. Amazing, spacious rooms, friendly staff, great location and delicious breakfast, full of fresh products, also some local stuff to try. There is a sauna and gym, well equipped and comfortable.
Mateusz C — Google review
Overall a pleasant stay with large, clean rooms and good service, but hotel does feel a little dated. Location is very convenient in the centre and front desk was helpful with booking an activity in the evening.
Markus M — Google review
Classy rooms, perfect service and coordination of the organisation of our wedding. Our guests appreciated the high-quality food, nice ambience and superb service as well.
Elena D — Google review
The staff at the Grand Hotel Sofia made our first visit to the city and absolute joy. The accommodation was very good, but the staff were superb. Whether it was reservations, transportation, or recommendations on where to explore, they made every effort to insure that we had the best.

The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions such as Vasil Levski National Stadium and "Ivan Vazov" National Theater. Guests can enjoy modern amenities including 40-inch flat-screen TVs, comfortable seating areas, and dedicated workspaces.
We stayed here for 6 nights. The hotel looks nice, modern, and clean. Location is also good. Breakfast was pretty good and the restaurant staff were friendly and quick. The Regale Bar was cozy, and the guys there made great cocktails. We ordered room service a couple of times—food was good and came fast. Housekeeping did a very good job. We had a small issue with housekeeping/reception on the first day, but the general manager Mr. Stephan Reiter handled it in a friendly and professional manner. Overall, a good place to stay in Sofia.

I stayed 1 night at this hotel. Without a doubt I can say that the stay was very pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious especially that I could enjoy it in a beautiful terrace🥰 I cannot forget to say about the beautiful chandelier in the reception area-stunning!🥰

Great hotel in a beautiful location! We tried both breakfast and dinner and they were delicious and excellent service! Location is very central to explore beautiful Sofia. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia was truly excellent! Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our visit both memorable and enjoyable. My husband and I — along with our two Labradors — felt genuinely welcomed and wonderfully cared for. The hotel is set in one of Sofia’s most beautiful locations. It’s tastefully designed and decorated, striking the perfect balance between modern comfort and cozy charm. Both the OXBO restaurant and the Regale Bar were exceptional, offering great food, atmosphere and top-notch cocktails. We’ll definitely be returning next year when we come back to visit family and friends in Sofia.

The service from this hotel was wonderful. From hospitality, to check in, to housekeeping, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Special thanks to Kayolan in hospitality, Vaselina in hospitality and Emilia in housekeeping. All were amazing. A special shout out to Emilia for making little teddy bears and rabbits out of towels and wash clothes! They made us feel special! Staff were some of the best, including check in and the bar! We highly recommend this hotel! We

Walled Garden TV in the room with nothing interesting to watch, claims like ask our reception you’ll get shaving kit grooming kit and when I asked i was redirected to some other answer. Gym wasn’t open at 5AM. Dry cold air. I was asked a 50 lev deposit when checking in and post 72 hours since checkout not deposited back yet. Good thing ? Close to NDK. Close to metro 6 and 7 which takes you to city centre. Close to mall.
Sethu I — Google review
I stayed for two days in October for business. Location is central, a little noisy being situated on a cross of two major roads. Although the reception was very polite at the first instance the answer to my question why the Minibar was not equipped "not all rooms have an equipped Minibar, you can go to the bar" was a no-go. I would have expected something like ".... but if you like we can immediately equip it". There were hairs on the toilet, lipstick on a glass, no shoehorn in the room. In addition, but that is not influencing my review, I expect a sauna (and a pool) in a five star hotel. But, again, I could have checked before and book another hotel.
Falko — Google review
I stayed at Hilton Sofia on 21–22 August 2025 (Room 409, Hilton Honors No: 1643826959). Unfortunately, after my stay, I was charged 63.85 EUR on my credit card for a dinner I never had. Despite not consuming any meal, this unjustified charge was applied. I have already contacted the hotel for a refund and reported this issue to my bank. This was a very disappointing experience, and I kindly advise future guests to carefully check their bills. Revision Note: The issue has now been fully resolved. I sincerely thank Hilton Sofia General Manager Mr. Stephan Reiter for his prompt support and assistance in addressing this matter.

This 5-star hotel offers polished accommodations, some featuring balconies, and has garnered positive reviews for its prime location and cleanliness. The hotel is in the heart of Sofia, within walking distance of all major landmarks and just steps from the metro station. A perfect urban retreat!

Good hotel for business stay. The breakfast is good enough but nothing exceptional. Swimming pool is OK, sauna is good. Location is perfect if you want to be in the city center. Good restaurants, and stores within 15 minutes walking distance. Free parking can be an issue though. Overall: good hotel to stay for a week i think.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful spa! We had a great time here. It is a little relaxing pocket if serenity. Right from. When you walk in, it smells great, the front desk and front folks are so friendly, and being greeted with bubbly always helps. The room is perfect. Clean and modern. Comfortable beds. Lots of room. Nice windows. Great bathroom with a nice rain shower and great toiletries..it was a very comfortable room. The pool, sauna, steam room, gym and spa are fabulous! I love a hot tub! The pool and cold plunge are great. The sauna and steam room are great. Loved my foot massage and scalp massage too. The rooftop bar is great for a drink. Nice cocktails and friendly staff. Beautiful view! Breakfast is also served here and it was a nice Continental with hot and cold as well as an omelette station made to order. Everything was lovely!! I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

TOP hotel - top location, great rooftop bar for breakfast and cocktails in the evening! Ideal start for our weekend in Sofia. We had a superior room with a view to the cathedral - beautiful! In walking distance to all major sights! Best choice!

I went up to the rooftop bar one night for drinks and it was the prettiest view of the city so far! They also sell passes to the facilities in the basement for 50lev for 4 hours- access to the gym, pool, hot and cold tubs, sauna, steam room and products- really enjoyed my morning there.

In all ways I was very happy here. Location good for local parks, sights, accessible to other areas. View terrific in room on 5th floor facing St Alex cathedral. Floor ceiling windows real nice. Spa fantastic. Service of door guy , helping with luggage, was superb, and front desk very friendly. Lovely chill top floor breakfast with morning view. My only suggestion is thicker bulgarian fresh yogurt at the breakfast buffet. Right this way to a day of smiles !
Craig S — Google review
We stayed here for a night as we had a trip from Sofia Airport. The rooms are very nice and the hotel is quite chilled. The young lady at reception Rania was an asset to their organisation but she did say she was moving to London so I'm not sure how the service will be afterwards. The breakfast servers were half-hearted. In the evening we ate upstairs at their rooftop restaurant but it was full of a young boisterous crowd and the food and service was pretty bad. We were told that the manager had cultivated this kind of questionable ambience. Overall I think I'd probably try a different hotel next time, maybe an international chain in the hope that the service was more on par.

I stayed at this hotel for three months. My ENTIRE stay, from the moment I arrived, to the moment I left for the airport, was nothing short of FABULOUS. The hotel is super clean and modern. My room had the perfect amount of ventilation. I could open the windows if I needed some air, and I could turn on the heat to my liking. My favorite part was that the bathroom had HEATED floors! Such a special treat on those cold, snowy mornings! The staff at the hotel are extremely kind and accommodating. They attended to my every need and want. Even though I was 6,600 miles from home, I felt like I was home at the Viko. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much Viko Hotel for an amazing stay!

Sofia Balkan Palace is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Sofia, forming part of the expansive Presidents Palace complex. The hotel boasts elegant rooms, a restaurant, bar, and a spa with a sauna. Situated next to the 1956 palace and opposite the president's residence, it offers proximity to historical sites such as the fourth-century Rotunda Church of St George and ancient Serdica excavations.
We spend an incredible 2 nights here. The best things about this hotel -The location, absolutely superb (in the middle of the city center and great views) and breakfast (so many options and variety of different foods, all very tasty, especially delicious mini pancakes and pastries). Rooms are tastefully decorated and everything is automated (lights, curtains), bed was really comfortable and shower was spacious. Really great value for money (133€ per/night). The only thing I noticed is that the cleanliness and maintenance could be improved but this would not stop us from booking this hotel again. Greetings!

Amazing! Staff is very friendly, rooms are quite big and overall it's luxurious. Very pleasant to stay here. We were welcomed with a bottle on ice of champagne in the room. The room has everything: big shower, lovely long bed, even the curtains open with a click on the touchscreen display next to your bed. The hotel has a very good location, in the centre. View on a popular sight on both sides of the hotel. The breakfast has a lot of choices and tastes very good. I would recommend and definitely book here again when i go to Sofia
Faya D — Google review
Unfortunately, our experience at the Sophia Balkan Palace was not as positive as some others. The hotel itself is quite lovely and in an excellent location. However, we found the rooms to be small, lacking suitable room for our two suitcases, no luggage rack, and only a couple of very small drawers for storage. There was no closet either, just a small open area with a coat rack. The bathroom did not have a bath mat, was missing a glass, and the air was not working. I understand now that they turn it off at some point in the fall, but our room was warm and stuffy. We had to sleep with the window open and fortunately we were not facing the street, else it would have been quite loud. At 3:15pm we had to call for room service. When it still had not been done at 4pm, we called a second time and it then got cleaned. On a positive note, we enjoyed our dinner and brunches in their restaurant. The buffet had a nice variety of dishes to choose from. I also found the bed to be comfortable.

One of the best choices we've ever made – easily in the Top 3 hotels we've stayed at! The hotel is truly elegant and located in the best possible spot in Sofia. We booked through Booking.com at a great rate, including a rich and high-quality breakfast. To be honest, I had some doubts before our arrival after reading a few mixed or negative reviews online. Now that I've actually stayed there, I honestly wonder what those people found to complain about – our experience was absolutely flawless! As soon as we arrived, we were informed that our room was ready earlier than expected, which we really appreciated. The staff was extremely polite and professional, and they even upgraded our room for free. We stayed on the 5th floor with a stunning view over the city. Every member of the team – from the front desk and restaurant to housekeeping – was warm, welcoming, and helpful. Every day, they replenished our coffee capsules and provided complimentary bottled water in the room. Anything we asked for was immediately provided with a smile. The rooms are renovated with smart features for the bathroom, lighting, and curtains – truly impressive work! I would absolutely stay here again without a second thought, and I’d love to visit other hotels owned by the same company. It was definitely one of the main reasons our trip to Sofia was so enjoyable!

Excellent location! Comfortable bed and quiet room. We chose the queen size bed and it's very comfortable. The toilet and the shower are separate in our room type which is great, but there no ventilator in the toilet 😔, making the whole room smell like a toilet at times. Friendly front desk, Gabriella is very helpful and patient to answer all questions. Friendly service at the breakfast buffet, but the freshness of the pastry and fruits is questionable. We enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice, however. This our second day stay so no reviews for the house keeping, but I am sure they will be great!

We stayed for 3 nights at Sogia Balkan Palace. I must say that I am honestly really impressed from this hotel. The value for money is off the charts her. Everything was great. The rooms, breakfast and most of all the location! are absolutely great!! But more that all of that is the service and the staff, so nice, helpful and understanding beyond any expectations!! This is definitely going to be our go to location in our next stay in Sofia and I can't wait for it. Thank you very much!!

We visited the City of Sofia last weekend and we chose the Sofia Balkan Palace for our stay and we are totally feeling vindicated. The room was very clean and large, we wiped out with a wet rag the surfaces inside the bathroom and not a single hair/dust remained on the rag. We had a back yard room view on the Saint George Rotonda Church and as we saw in other rooms, the front view rooms on the Central Plaza was also great. The breakfast offers a large variety of salty and sweet food choices for everyone and a very good coffee to start your day. It is worth mentioning for the Greek fellows who are to visit the Hotel, you can have a very good freddo espresso. All the staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. It is again worth mentioning for the Greek fellows who are to visit the Hotel, that there are Greeks working in the Hotel such as the floor manager Philippos who is a great person btw (usually, most of the staff speaks greek even if they are not be descended from Greece). In addition to the aforementioned, the Hotel building was very beautiful with a high class architectural design (we have seen similar buildings in Prague and Budapest). We faced a false alarm system failure but these things happen, it's ok.
Georgios K — Google review
An exceptionally beautiful building on the a very convenient location at the city center. The hotel underwent a complete renovation with stylish interior. But the management is obviously highly unprofessionell, and the staff is not able to manage the room allocation with the booking: I have booked a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed on upper floor, further away from the elevator, and received from the students at the desk: a Standard Room, 1 Queen Bed, on the second floor, next to the elevator, with a window facing a wall! After bring this to the attention of the staff, I just had to listen to their nonsense, that all double beds of the hotel are like this, and all my other requests are subject to availability and there is nothing they can do about it ;-) Guess the check-in experience couldn't be worse. The breakfast venue is very nice and the service friendly. The food quality and variety is acceptable. The parking lot in front of the hotel entrance belongs to another company and is disconnected from the hotel, which is a paradox, and makes it difficult ordering a taxi to the hotel. On the second day Ms. Francesca took note of my complaint and handed it professionally, so that I was able to complete the duration of my stay comfortably. If the shift in charge on Sunday would listen and act professionally like Francesca, I would have had a better night, suitable for the hotel category. Thank you Francesca.

Ibis Sofia Airport is a no-frills hotel located in the Airport district, just a 10-minute ride from the Historic Borisova gradina Forest Park. The hotel offers a free private car park with over 200 parking spaces, making it convenient for travelers using Terminals 1 and 2 of Sofia International Airport. Guests can enjoy high-speed internet access throughout the property and take advantage of the free airport shuttle service.
I had a very comfortable stay here, my flight arrived very late and it must have been the fastest check-in of my life, I think it took them less than 60 seconds, I was so tired after the flight that I couldn’t be happier. Room was basic but very clean and comfortable, there’s some nice details like a filtered water fountain in the corridor. The breakfast was very very good, lots of fun Bulgarian items. The staff were really kind, 10/10 would recommend

We stayed at this hotel for a short overnight visit before an early morning flight. Although our stay was less than 24 hours, the experience was excellent. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortably accommodated the three of us. Breakfast was included, and since we had to leave early, the hotel thoughtfully packed it for us — a fresh sandwich and an apple, both of which were great. The complimentary airport shuttle service was a huge convenience and ran smoothly both to and from the airport. We also had a chance to dine at the hotel’s restaurant and enjoyed some delicious meals there. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Highly recommend — 9.5/10!

Service is immaculate! The shuttle to the airport is so convenient. The food in the restaurant is amazing! Always fresh and tasty. Bar is always fully stocked with cold drinks etc 24/7! The rooms are so cozy, quiet and so clean, beds are very, very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and polite. Big thank you and applause to the dark blond receptionist lady and Lazar! Amazing people who are professionals in their jobs and deserve the best! Also, big appreciation to the night team! Helpful and friendly guys. The hotel is perfect. I will always return. The hotel is also very safe (I am a girl in her 20s).Keep it up!❤️

I feel like the hotel did not correspond to the price. The service was great, the shuttle picked me up from the airport, and the check in was super smooth. Guys at the reception were great. However, the room was not very clean and was outdated. There were crumbs on the floor in the corner besides the fridge. The bed was really squeaky and the mattress felt quite old and not as comfortable as promised. The AC was very loud and made a variety of different noises which meant that I had to decide between not sleeping due to noise or not sleeping due to heat. Also, the shower was leaking, and the sink was missing the rubbish catcher. The sockets were not next to the bed. Really didn't feel like it was worth the 80€ per night. I hope it gets refurbished soon.
Marija N — Google review
It’s an Ibis by the airport - but the quality of service changed everything. Even if the room and its équipement are basic, the sense of “take care” was a top notch ! We had an extremely early flight - and the shuttle was a super news for us. And we were extremely pleasantly surprised when we got a “to go” breakfast just before getting into the shuttle. Great touch, much appreciated!
Lyubov L — Google review
I was very pleased with the service including the shuttle bus guy. I was leaving before breakfast time and they gave me my breakfast in a little paper bag. I really appreciated it! I stayed in the 3rd floor and the traffic noise was too loud to leave the window open, unfortunately. Apart from that, the room was clean and very comfortable. There is a water dispenser in the corridor for drinking water, including hot water for tea. The receptionist gave me a tea cup, as there was none in the room.
Cvetana D — Google review
I am writing to express my deep concern about an incident that occurred during my stay at Ibis Sofia Airport. When we politely requested our welcome drinks, the bartender responded with aggressive, hostile, and racially discriminatory behavior. What made the situation even more upsetting was that other guests were served calmly and cheerfully, in complete contrast to the way we were treated.
Kaoutar A — Google review
I really don’t know where to start with this review. Upon entering the parking of the hotel, we were met with potholes and a broken road. The staff were friendly but that doesn’t negate anything else. The rooms are visibly worn down. The AC is extremely loud, it sounds like a plane is taking off in our room. The bathroom had no towel to dry our hands and it also was visibly worn down. One of the doors had a dent on the side. Overall it is bearable for only one night but barely.

had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was elegant, the food was very tasty, and the service was excellent. Everything felt five-star from start to finish. One of the staff members spoke Arabic, which made me feel extra welcomed and comfortable—such a nice personal touch! Also, the valet service was very convenient—they parked my car right in front of the hotel, which I really appreciated. Even though my visit was short, I truly enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back when I visit Sofia again!

I stayed at the InterContinental Sofia from 22–24 August and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city. Staff and service were outstanding, and as an IHG member I was pleasantly upgraded. The room was very clean, with a modern bathroom, a comfortable bed, and a great view. As a small suggestion, it would be nice if IHG members could also enjoy perks or discounts in the bar and restaurant. Overall, a fantastic stay that I would happily recommend and look forward to repeating.

Fantastic hotel, surely one of the best in Sofia. Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast is awesome (I am particularly fond of the Egg Benedict). Wifi works, and of course centrally located. Given the parking situation around the hotel, the valet parking service is extremely helpful.

Excellent 5 star hotel in perfect location. Clean modern quiet room. Great breakfast (yes, real fresh squeeze orange juices, bakery and espresso). Great service, kudos to manager Sedva at the front desk and service staff at the Club.

When arriving I had some complications at the suite, the room was too hot. They addressed my complaint and resolved it with an upgrade, my family had a very comfortable stay, the breakfast selection was amazing, the suite was very comfortable and service in general was great. Next time I am in Sofia I will surely stay here again

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Sofia and were absolutely delighted with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff are all incredibly friendly, well-trained, and truly professional — it’s clear that customer service here is a top priority. Special thanks to Kiril, whose bespoke approach to hospitality made our stay even more memorable. It’s no wonder the team consistently delivers such an outstanding experience. The hotel’s location is simply unbeatable. Our room offered a breathtaking view of the majestic Alexander Nevsky Cathedral — truly a "wow" moment! The upkeeping of the hotel is top-notch; everything is well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The room itself strikes a perfect balance between minimalism and comfort. The couch is cozy, and the shower is spacious and modern, with all the essentials you could need — nothing superfluous, everything intentional. Breakfast was another highlight. There’s a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or a full spread, you’ll find something to enjoy. All in all, we had a very comfortable and memorable stay. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and exquisite setting make this hotel a standout choice in Sofia. Well done to everyone on the team — you’ve created something truly special!
Tricia D — Google review
The hotel is noticeably outdated and completely lacks the signature scent and atmosphere expected from an Intercontinental property. The front desk staff were cold, unwelcoming, and showed zero professionalism. The bathroom, while clean, was old and worn. Worst of all, the bed was severely slanted and unusable for a proper night’s sleep. When we reported it to the front desk, the only response was a dismissive “sorry”—no solution, no apology, nothing. Breakfast was shockingly poor—basic, uninspired, and identical both mornings. Not a single change in the selection. This place does not even come close to the standard of other Intercontinental hotels. Yet it charges full Intercontinental prices. It’s a complete disgrace to the brand. I will never stay at this hotel in Sofia again, and I strongly advise others to avoid it as well.

We made use of the family room, we couldn't get a baby crib because of personel shortage. But over all a good hotel, large beds. Parking spots are scares. Large vegan breakfast options. Cleaning ladies smoke in the end of the hallway on the balcony, we could smell it in our room across the hall.

It was dirty. Everything was falling apart. It was definitely not a 4 star hotel. They brought us a very dirty children's bed with food residue under the mattress from previous users, it was disgusting. My child had to sleep with us in the bed, but even here it was a failure - instead of a double bed, there were two mattresses pushed together, with a hole in the middle, very uncomfortable.

We've come to Sofia, Bulgaria, to end our last night on a one-month trip that saw us visit 8 countries and 16 cities. We're a family with a child, and our arrival time was half an hour late. We informed the hotel through booking.com. We also sent a message explaining that this delay would be due to the time difference between countries. The hotel confirmed this. When we arrived at the hotel, it was 2:15 a.m. A tall, blond man came to the reception desk. He asked us why we were so late and arrived at this hour. He was angry. We gave him the answers he needed. He took our passports and threw them at the reception desk. We asked for a refund, but he refused. This is a large hotel. This incident, which we experienced in our neighboring country, was completely unpleasant. We've stayed in many countries and have never been greeted in such a manner. We condemn this behavior. We expected hospitality. We don't treat tourists visiting our country this way. If I ever find myself in Bulgaria again, I won't stay at this hotel again. I won't stay there. He was really very hurtful. Grami Hotel received a negative rating from us. I hope this message will be effective and you will ensure that your employees are more polite. This compact hotel offers bright and clean accommodations with en suite bathrooms and complimentary Wi-Fi, making it an ideal choice for travelers on the go. Located in the vibrant Centrum district, it's just a short stroll from Konstantin Velichkov metro station and close to popular attractions like the National Palace of Culture and City Garden.
Good hotel for its price and location. Rooms were clean. Parking outside is just 6 levs/day. They have vending machine with snacks and hot drinks. The only one disadvantage that the shower doesn’t have a handheld.

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. He was working during the afternoons, a rather large-built man with a receding hairline. His behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional, which made my stay here quite uncomfortable. I was truly disappointed, as this is not the level of hospitality one would expect from a hotel.
Ugur K — Google review
If you are on a budget, and alone - or with someone you can share a bed, this may be a decent choice. I recommend the larger size room because the small one is claustrophobic. After staying one night, we decided to pay more to a regular hotel and didn't regret it.
Orlin C — Google review
budget friendly & good value! Room is clean, some will complain the room is super tiny, but if you have been to Tokyo, Japan before, you will know their hotels are tiny like this one as well (e.g. APA tokyo hotel), so the small room size didn’t bother me. AC is working really well, you can drop the temperature to almost like you’re in a fridge, perfect for those hot 30C+ summer days. Parking is just right next to the hotel for 3€ a day which is an extremely good price compared to other hotels. Will recommend renting a car from the airport and drive to rila monastery & also doing the rila seven lakes hike!
Adrian — Google review
Travel for work, the hotel was booked by others, so very surprised by the mall size, especially the bathroom, reminded me of a ferry cabin, only smaller. But fair is fair, it's cheap, clean and serves it purpose: sleep in a bed. Friendly guy at the reception. Airport is close by so some noise of planes flying over..

Perfect for short stayover before a flight, when you just need to sleep for a few hours.
Lucy K — Google review
Rooms are quite small but this is what you would expect with a budget easyHotel. Quite a heavy disinfectant smell upon first check-in but the room was quite clean. No mid-stay room cleaning. All rooms have windows. Two sockets in the room and hangar/pegs to hang your clothes. Storage space for a bag under the bed and a small area for your phone on the side.
Adam T — Google review
The only plus of this place is that it's located near to the center. The room was very small and cramped. It was not much clean, there was a stain on part of the bed sheet. The window wouldn't close when opened, and the air conditioning was very loud. The TV in the room wouldn't turn on. The toilet was combined with the shower, also very tight. The curtain in the bathroom smelled a bit musty. The bathroom looked more or less like a train bathroom, tight and hard to use. The walls in the room were paper thin, you could hear other people talking. In addition, in the next room there was a group of people who made noise until 3:30 a.m., ignoring the night silence time. The hotel staff did not control compliance with the hotel rules in any way, and there was no mention of the silence anywhere. The man with glasses at the reception desk behaved very rudely. When I was registering my stay, he told me "the reservation is only for you, so don't bring guys here", I think such a comment is inappropriate. The man said later that he was joking, but his "joke" wasn't funny at all and it made me feel so uncomfortable and disrespected. To sum up, the stay in this hotel was horrible and tiring. The price for the night was low, but I recommend everyone to take care of their comfort and peace more, and not just the price. I will absolutely never stay in this hotel again! 🤢

With stunning mountain views, guests can unwind in style while enjoying amenities like a chic restaurant with garden vistas, a cozy lobby bar for drinks, and even a playroom for kids.
Cozy. I have read some concerning reviews, but our room was clean, no cigarette smell. Pillows could be better, and they had a big party downstairs which was loud. They should have warn us or offer a discount... anyway, parking is free behind the building, room was nice, bathroom also, wifi was okey.

Very bad experience. I don’t understand how this hotel has this many stars and so high score on booking. Room was cramped and always funny smelling. Air conditioning/circulation was not working well so the smell didn’t go away. The hotel did not have water for a whole day?! Even though breakfast is prepared for you (only 3 options), quality of the ingredients are very bad so I wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast. There very few personnel at any given time , so they must be under pressure. That’s why I think it’s unfair to blame them for their poor service and attitude.

I haven't been to the hotel, but the connceted restaurant made quite nice impression, making me sure that the hotel is quitenice too. The staff is very njce and polite. Always ready to serve (I even didn't notice, how thykept on pouring water into my glass, as soon as it gets empty!). The food in restaurant was also quite nice and as far as I got around the building (for example going to the bathroom, etc.). So, I can't garantee for the hotel, but yet the restaurant is amazing! It was a peefect evening there!

Very accommodating staff! Me and my friends got lost in the mountains and we were only able to get out late at night. The internet was not working, we walked around hoping to find a place where we could get warm. Lucky for us we saw this hotel, the staff offered us a seat and we sipped delicious tea in the warmth, connected to the internet and hailed ourselves a cab. Thank you so much!!!

The hotel does not deserve 5 stars. The rooms are quite nice and beautifully furnished, the bed is very confortable, but the restaurant’s menu is very poor and there is no valet to help you with the luggage. There are not so many choices for breakfast. We had an English breakfast which was far from being delicious. However, a good point is the parking which is quite big.
Marina N — Google review
It's clean, new and modern. I would visit this place more often however the smokey smell of the cafe is absolutely everywhere. Walking into the cafe your eyes water up. They say they have a smoking area but there is no division between the two and the lobby is right next to the entrance so it smells terrible as well. Otherwise its could be a nice place for a coffee or work meeting.

This is an extraordinary establishment. Very well done and very well run. The rooms are good, the bathrooms are excellent and almost everything else above expectations. What makes this hotel extra special is the people who work here. The staff here go above and beyond, Andrey and Petya who I interacted with most at the front desk did for sure. And the location is absolutely perfect for a get away in the hills. Short walk to hikes and church.

R34 Boutique Hotel in Sofia offers a unique blend of industrial chic and Scandinavian design, creating a hip and trendy atmosphere. The hotel's central yet quiet location near the Ivan Vazov National Theater makes it an ideal base for exploring the city's main attractions. With loft-inspired details such as exposed brick and modern decor, the hotel provides comfortable and stylish accommodations at an affordable price. While some minor maintenance issues have been noted, the overall cleanliness and comfort of the rooms are commendable.
First of all, THANKS TO DILYANA! I stayed at this lovely hotel in the heart of Bulgaria, and I couldn't be happier! Everything was spotless—so clean that I think even my mother would approve (and trust me, that’s saying something).. The staff was as friendly as my neighbor’s cat, and the location couldn’t have been better—right in the center of everything! If you're looking for a stay that's nice, neat, and right where all the action is, this is the place to be!

Really nice stay here. First bit of advice would be don’t get put off by the frontage. Lot nicer inside. Our room (no.1) was big, nice decor. Location is spot on. Right in the mixer. Would have given it 5 stars if not for a hot water issue with the shower which we were told was due to age of building. So if you’re showering do it quick! Oh also the bar it shows on the website is actually underneath on the ground floor but under refurb at the min and won’t be finished any time soon, but luckily no building work going on while we were there.

This place is extremely quiet and conveniently located, allowing you to enjoy peace without any disturbances. The location is easy to find, and the receptionist is very professional. The premises are clean, and the simplicity of the design is quite appealing. Overall, it offers great value for the price.
Kate — Google review
The location is excellent and surprisingly quiet for such a central area. The room is spacious, tidy, and clean, with fresh towels and an extra duvet provided. Access is very convenient via a door code. Right next to the hotel, there’s a large pharmacy and makeup store, a supermarket, and plenty of restaurants and bars. However, the place could improve by providing clearer information about the reception’s working hours. During my two-day stay, I didn’t see a single person at the reception—despite my room being located right next to it—and I never heard any voices or signs of staff presence. The building itself is quite old, which is understandable given the location, but there seems to be an issue with the water: there was no hot water, only lukewarm that quickly turned cold, accompanied by a strange noise. Aside from these issues, it’s good value for the price, and I truly hope these downsides were just coincidences and not regular problems, because I really liked the place overall.
Georgia R — Google review
The only good thing about this hotel is the location - room smelled of cigarettes when I checked in - you can't flush toilet paper - the water pump is insanely loud - the walls are thin, you will hear your neighbours - no hot water (instructions say to let it run at max for a few minutes but that only gets it to not frigid) - no locks on the inside of the door. Doors are unlocked with a code which probably isn't changed. Not good for solo female travelers

The most rude communication I've ever seen anywhere in the world. Booked a room and asked for parking recommendation. In return without saying hello got a link to parkopedia. OK, thank you. I've decided not enjoy this kind of "service“ any longer and have canceled the booking.

I checked out on August 1st 2025. I requested an invoice on the same day. At the reception, the lady told me I should share my data via viber. I did, right away. After not receiving any answer, on August 19th, I reached out to hear that I have to fill out a form. I did, right away. After following up 4x times by telephone, I have been told by the same lady that the accounting department is on vacation. She would follow up. Eventually, she did not. On September 16th, after asking again, I was requested to re-fill the form, since it was apparently not correct. I did, right away. Finally, on September 17th, I got notified that the accounting department (who came back from vacation, bravo!!) cannot issue an invoice so far back in the past… I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF BULLSHIT TO ISSUE AN INVOICE. Why can't I get an invoice at the reception on checkout, LIKE IN EVERY OTHER FREAKING HOTEL in this world? Why should a company lie to avoid issuing an invoice? I think everyone can think of a simple answer… On top of that: Receptionist neither helpful nor polite. Noisy water pumps serving the bathroom. Facilities absolutely average. I would not go there again!

Nestled in the vibrant Airport District, the Best Western Premier Sofia Airport Hotel is a stylish haven for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. This upscale 4-star hotel boasts warm rooms and suites, complemented by a delightful Mediterranean restaurant with an inviting terrace. Its prime location just half a kilometer from Sofia Airport ensures easy access to both the city center and key business hubs like the Sofia Airport Center and Trade Center Europe.
We had an unforgettable stay at Hotel Premier Airport Sofia. From the moment we arrived, the team delivered truly remarkable service—genuinely accommodating, proactive, and eager to help with extra requests that elevated our trip. The room was spotless, modern-looking, and very comfortable, and the overall hotel atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. One huge advantage is the airport shuttle: it’s efficient and convenient, making arrivals and departures completely stress-free. Thanks to the staff’s attention to detail and can-do attitude, our visit was smoother and far more enjoyable. If you’re flying in or out of Sofia and want comfort, care, and convenience in one place—this is the hotel. Highly recommended!

I’m deeply saddened to write this review, especially after three wonderful years of staying at this hotel. It was once a place we looked forward to returning to—but this year’s experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness and basic hospitality had taken a back seat. The room was filthy, the sheets were visibly stained, and worst of all—we found bed bugs. This was not just unacceptable, it was insanitary and unsafe. When we calmly approached the front desk and manager to request a room change, we were met with rudeness and zero accountability. There was no apology—just coldness and irritation, as if we were the inconvenience. After realizing the conditions were unlivable, we decided to leave and requested a full cancellation and refund. At the time, they assured us this would be no problem. In fact, they seemed relieved to see us go. To add insult to injury, my credit card was still charged. When I called the next day to follow up on the promised refund, I was told there would be no refund issued. No explanation. Just a flat refusal. This level of customer service is unacceptable under any circumstance—but especially from a hotel we’ve previously been loyal to. Sadly, this establishment has completely lost our trust. What was once a reliable and relaxing getaway has devolved into a place that clearly no longer values cleanliness, honesty, or its returning guests. To anyone considering staying here: proceed with extreme caution. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Clean and modern hotel close to the airport. The complimentary shuttle makes it very convenient if you have an early flight- they even have an early breakfast station you can stop in for a quick bite to eat before catching the shuttle. We have stayed here twice already and would stay again!

Great stay! Services are large and very nice and the service was likewise very nice and helpful. Geri helped our large group at the reception with anything we needed (shuttle transfers, etc.) and she even saved us from a taxi scam :) thanks a lot to BW team and specially to Geri and Ralitsa for the great support! Wish you the best

Great hotel if you are visiting Sofia for business trip. Close to the Airport. In price of the hotel there is included shuttle. Awesome breakfast. Clean rooms, small fitness center in hotel, 2x technogym treadmill, bench, some weights and dumbbells. I recommend.

The hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious. I would have expected some more food and drinks options. The resraurant staff at the evening is not nice.
Ivan S — Google review
I took this hotel that costs twice as others in the city, because I knew I had little time to sleep between flights, and I didn't want to deal with any hassle. I was very disappointed. The reception never answered the phones or emails, so I couldn't get a shuttle from the airport. The AC barely worked and took 4 hours to cool down the room. The sink was clogged and the curtains didn't block all light. I would also expect an airport hotel to have universal sockets or usb chargers, which they didn't. Breakfast was good.
Ofer R — Google review
Very nice hotel close to airport terminals. Free parking. Very Basic free breakfast . Nice people. Great rooms, but uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. This will be hard for non-residents to understand: leaving the hotel to go to the terminal requires that you drive on a horrible dirt road full of hundreds of deep potholes for about 200 meters to get to a paved road. It has been that way for years and the hotel does nothing about it!

I love staying at this hotel. Its rooms are comfortable, clean, very spacious and most of all beautiful! . Excellent food and ambiance in their restaurant. This is my go to spot in Sofia.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿We stayed for 2 nights. Very dated hotel, it does not include the 5 stars, crazy as a comparison to Italy and other countries, probably if we were in the 80s I would agree. A lot of dust around, the bathroom air filter was full of dust the Which denotes a lack of cleanliness for months, the balcony full of dust and cobwebs. The restaurant was nothing special, slow service and absolute lack of baby food. The breakfast was quite poor without even having the chance to have a measly soy cappuccino. If this is the maximum that Sofia can offer at the 5-star level we are in bad shape, we will not return.
Mattia S — Google review
Our experience at this hotel was far below what one would expect from a five-star superior establishment. From the moment we arrived, we encountered problems. The room we had booked was not available due to a malfunctioning air conditioning system, and no satisfactory alternative was provided. The spa was another disappointment. Despite being advertised as a key feature of the hotel, most of the services required an additional payment, and the jacuzzi was out of order. To make matters worse, the spa manager was remarkably unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast service was substandard. In a hotel of this category, one would expect consistent quality and replenishment, yet the buffet was left to run empty well before the end of service. Basic items such as bread and milk were simply unavailable, and no effort was made to restock them. Our room lacked even the most basic amenities: no hygiene or body care products beyond a single bottle of shower gel, which was never replaced. Today, we had to call reception once again because the air conditioning still wasn't working, and neither was the in-room jacuzzi — despite multiple complaints throughout our stay. Upon arrival, there were not enough towels in the room, and the pillows were later replaced with noticeably less comfortable ones. At the swimming pool, guests are required to purchase a swim cap, which we were not informed about in advance. Even the morning shower was a disappointment, as there was no hot water. Many elements in the room were worn out or broken, contributing to the general sense of poor maintenance and neglect. As if all of that weren’t enough, on our last night we experienced a power outage that left our entire room without electricity. An absolute disaster — it’s honestly a bad joke that this hotel is rated five stars…

Overall good. Spacious rooms, beautiful and glamorous art all over. Service mostly good but not very friendly at the desk. Cleaning staff and breakfast staff were very sweet and friendly. Had a good massage at the spa, nice staff there. Breakfast was good. Location perfect, walked everywhere we went.

For 1 night, I found this hotel spacious with great value of money. Its location is perfect that you can walk to city centre and convenient if you travel from Sofia airport without interchange. The drawback is the cleanliness for a bathtub. Wifi is super fast and reliable. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast seems to be ok (7-10 am).

Everything is nice. Food amazing. But sometimes bar doesn't, don't down why. Hotel is close to all nice places in city and staff is very helpful.

Great experience in a hotel full of unexpected art pieces. Sculptures,paintings,ceramic.. cosy swimming pool and restaurant on the roof. A little dark rooms as the furniture are browniesh but when the sun arrives the beauty of the shiny walls appear. Very nice and helpful service. I never had such a warm and respectful question from the guy reception about my check out. Thank you! Recommend 😀
Body M — Google review
Avoid! I had to postpone my trip three days before arrival. I contacted the hotel via email to request a date change, but the request was denied after couple of days, and it was already too late for free cancellation. I then called directly to explain the situation, but the receptionist suddenly “forgot” how to speak English and vaguely said a colleague would get back to me — which never happened. The hotel stopped responding to my messages altogether. As a result, I was charged several hundred euros as a no-show, without any support or communication. As a returning guest, I’m deeply disappointed by this unprofessional handling. I cannot recommend this hotel based on such a lack of customer care. Furthemore I did not receive any invoice for the money charged, therefore I now have issues to report this expense in my company.

The venue also provides free parking and is within walking distance to public transportation. Guests can enjoy city views and access to nearby parks while staying at this well-rated establishment.
The hotel was tidy and affordable. The breakfast was great and I loved the huge diversity of the breakfast, the staff were very friendly and kind. It’s also close to the train station which is great.

I stayed at Forum Hotel in Sofia from January 31 to February 2 (Room 102) for “Coach going to a karate event, namely JKA Gashuku seminar”Unfortunately, my stay was a nightmare. When I returned home to Turkey, I discovered bed bug bites on my arm, which spread and became severely itchy. After visiting a doctor, I was diagnosed with bed bug infestation from the hotel. I had to spend a huge amount of money—6000TL for medical expenses, 5000TL for pest control, and 32000 TL for a new bed. This was supposed to be a professional and respectful event, but I was left feeling physically, mentally, and financially drained. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL to anyone. Hygiene should be a priority, and if a hotel cannot meet proper cleanliness standards, guests should be informed beforehand. Avoid this place if you care about your health!

What a great friendly relatively central hotel. The food was perfectly prepared and presented along with being very tasty. I can't praise individual staff members as each and everyone was extremely helpful and polite. Nothing seemed to much trouble for them. I am coming back in January 2025 and look forward to staying here afain

Room okay- ish. Nothing modern or new. Bed /pillow awful for me, too soft I couldn't sleep at all. The bathroom shower didn't work as it should. No workable tv. Good wi-fi. Very nice location. Excellent front desk / reception staff. I stayed longer than expected, so they tried to accommodate my extension. Polite hotel staff.

It was a clean hotel, a variety of products were served for breakfast. The staff can’t speak English well but the communication worked through gestures, they were helpful. The hotel is not in the city center however it is easy with the subway and it is next to the Billa grocery store which was really nice.

Hotel with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The renovation is a bit old, but you can live. There are breakfasts. But even in the evening there are no dishes or stove for cooking. About breakfasts. There are boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs. There are cereals, several types of sausage, and hard cheeses. There are also sweets such as cookies, cakes, and donuts. And of course there are tea and coffee.

Maison Sofia - MGallery is a charming hotel located in the quiet southern suburbs of Sofia, near Borisova Gradina Park. The hotel's facade resembles a modest French chateau and offers comfortable rooms with large windows. Guests can enjoy the conservatory restaurant serving Bulgarian and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as access to a gym and an indoor pool. The hotel is situated in the Lozenetz district, just 3.5km from the city center and within walking distance to Paradise Mall.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was in my room within minutes. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with modern furnishings and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the quiet atmosphere ensured a great night’s sleep. Overall, my experience was outstanding. This hotel combines comfort, convenience, and exceptional service in a way that truly sets it apart. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a quality stay.

We spent a wonderful week at Maison Sofia - MGallery. The welcome was outstanding – Adrian and the reception team made us feel at ease right away. Our room was both comfortable and stylish, with a king-size bed, Nuxe amenities in the bathroom, and a warm, minimalist design that we really appreciated. The spa was enjoyable, with a good sauna and hammam, although the pool could have been a little warmer. The restaurant and terrace offered a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a generous breakfast or a quiet dinner. Room service was efficient and discreet as well. The only downside is that the hotel is slightly out of the city center, near the ring road, but once inside everything feels calm and refined. A relaxing and elegant stay that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Sofia.

Maison Sofia is not located in the city centre, but the surrounding surely compensates that. The old charming building has been very nicely renovated, and its garden with lush greenery and a turtle pond makes if for a relaxing stay, and escape from the city heat. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The bonus for us was the upgrade offered due to status and it was greatly appreciated. The suite was very comfortable with the balcony and a greatly designed bathroom. Seems like the hotel is frequented by mainly business crowd. The gym and the pool are being used. Breakfast is well set and with great selection. The let down was dinner. The suggested “Bulgarian” grill was not well done. It could be much better (and we did have much better outside). Would recommend either for a short or longer stay.
Okrad M — Google review
Average Stay at Best. My recent visit to the Maison Sofia MGallery was, well... fine. It wasn't terrible, but it certainly didn't live up to the expectations one might have for a hotel in this collection and it is definitely 3 star hotel. The room, unfortunately, was on the smaller side. While adequately furnished, it felt cramped, dusty and dated making it difficult to settle in comfortably. Housekeeping service was also a noticeable letdown with beds half made through our 4 night stay. For a hotel of this caliber, the service should be much more polished. The location is another point of concern. The noise from nearby motorways was quite audible, which made sleeping a challenge at times. Furthermore, getting around the city proved cumbersome as the hotel is quite far from public transport links, forcing a reliance on taxis. Lovely staff for the most part didn't make up for the rate and quality of the hotel. Overall, it's an okay hotel if you manage to overlook the small rooms, the housekeeping service, the constant motorway noise, and the general inconvenience of the location. A perfectly mediocre experience, not to be repeated.

Maison Gallery is truly impressive — the interior design is stunning, probably one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. Every detail feels carefully thought out, stylish, and elegant. On top of that, the staff are wonderful — professional, kind, and always ready to help. A place that combines beauty with excellent service.
Irina X — Google review
Clearly not a European 5 star hotel: no bellstand, no concierge service, no turndown service, minibar is empty, no bathroom amenities (dental kit, vanity kit) etc Cleanliness of the room is another subject. However this hotel has a great potential : elegant decoration and very good food&beverage outlets, what a pity that all the staff is junior and untrained. 5 star is an attitude in service… we did not experience it at all. The Lobby bar is not used, people in the restaurant were leaving as staff ignored them and never came to give the menu. Very sad. The pool area is enjoyable, but the pool is cold and we were not informed that there are swimming lessons for kids. Because when it began - it was impossible to enjoy the time swimming or being around the pool. This kind of event should be announced in advance. You have a great hotel: please pay attention to guests (eye-contact) and reinforce cleanliness.

Very Disappointing and Unprofessional Handling of a complaint We stayed at this hotel for a weekend in September, hoping for a relaxing, quiet break. Unfortunately, it turned into the opposite. Without any prior notice, the hotel hosted a very loud wedding party on Saturday night. The music and noise went on well past midnight, and we were never informed in advance. Had we known, we would have booked elsewhere. When we complained at reception, we were told the hotel was fully booked. Around 10 p.m., they offered us another room due to a cancellation — but it was on the street side and had only one queen bed, which didn’t match our booking. By that time, we were already ready for bed, and the offer wasn’t suitable. The next morning, we were promised a discount, but nothing was ever processed. Booking.com tried to assist, but the hotel never replied — which is extremely unprofessional. The hotel itself could be nice, but the lack of communication and accountability from management left a very bad impression. Definitely not the peaceful stay we expected.
Sandra — Google review
I stayed at this hotel on September and had a very unpleasant experience. During my stay, there was a wedding party with extremely loud music that went on late into the night. It was impossible to sleep, and despite contacting the reception several times, the staff ignored our complaints and did nothing to solve the problem. A hotel should guarantee guests basic comfort and quiet during the night, but here this was completely disregarded. If I had been informed in advance about the wedding, I would have chosen another place.Avoid this hotel!

Nestled in the heart of Sofia, Hotel Slavyanska Beseda offers a charming blend of history and comfort. This unpretentious establishment, dating back to the 1930s, features cozy accommodations with stunning views of the city center. Guests can enjoy a casual dining experience at its on-site restaurant or unwind at the bar after exploring nearby attractions like Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Vasil Levski National Stadium.
A good hotel for its price located in the downtown. All attractions are nearby. Rooms include bathtub and balcony which is a rare option for a budget hotel. Breakfast is available as well. The floor in the room is covered by the carpet. However, some furniture could be renovated.
Fedor K — Google review
Overall, my experience at the Hotel Slavyanska Beseda to be just OK. The hotel is desperately in need of a major refurbishment, but even in its current condition, it remains functional and acceptable for short-term stays. The two biggest positives, in my opinion, are its central location with the city of Sofia and it is a pet friendly hotel (though negatively, they charge extra for pets at 25BGN per night....which i think is a bit expensive). My assigned room was located on their top floor (accessible by an old, but fully operational, elevator....looks like the original one when the place was first built), and had a large balcony, but the actual room was very small. Like the hotel, my room was in dire need of a refurbishment, and in its current state, looked a bit dirty (only due to wear and tear), especially the single bed. I did complain about the bad sagging, and they sent someone to fix it. Though unsure what (or if anything) was done as there was no improvement. Instead of complaining again, I just used my dog's mattress (from her dog crate) to bolster the middle. The room was only very basically furnished but did have a TV and a small refrigerator (minibar with drinks & snacks), along with complimentary tea & coffee (plus a kettle). Heating in the room was sufficiently achieved mostly by an air-conditioner and very minimally via a radiator heater. The private bathroom was a little more spacious than the living/sleeping area and was clean and practical as well as functional, with a good constant supply of hot water. I didn't eat anything from the hotel's restaurant as I found a vast selection of restaurants, all within a short walk plus a small supermarket only 50 metres away (and a Lidl about a 10 minute walk along the main street). The hotel is also situated near to all the main tourist sights/attractions in Sofia, which is very handy and are all easily within walking distances. I find all the ex-communist countries from the defunct USSR, lacking a bit in hospitality and friendliness, but the staff here were quite polite, friendly, and seemingly helpful. (Reception staff also speak English too). Noteworthy, if you have your own vehicle, parking on the street and surrounding streets are in very short supply (illegal parking will result in your car being towed away) but the hotel does offer paid parking (spots are very limited and a bit pricey too).

Old hotel but maintained. Medium sized room with a double bed. Bathrooms are small but clean. Location is almost good. Yards away from tram service, and few steps away from bus. Reasonably priced. Check-in is little bit slow but ok. Receptionist is smiling and helpful.
Asif A — Google review
Overall Rating: 1/5 Stars My recent stay was severely hampered by a series of operational inefficiencies and unacceptable maintenance issues that significantly detracted from the experience. While I value friendly service, the pervasive issues outlined below require immediate management attention. 1. Check-in Experience and Delays The initial check-in process was inefficient and poorly managed. Upon arriving at 1:00 PM, I was correctly informed that check-in started at 2:00 PM. However, when I returned at 2:45 PM, I experienced a subsequent delay of approximately 20 minutes due to staff managing a shift change and break schedule. This secondary, unnecessary wait made for a frustrating start to the stay. 2. Room Environment and Cleanliness The assigned room had a strong and pervasive odor of stale cigarette smoke, indicating a potential failure in deep cleaning protocols. When reported, the only solution offered by management was to open the window. Despite keeping the window open for two full days, the odor persisted, making the room environment unacceptable. 3. Maintenance and Functionality Failures The room presented multiple critical maintenance issues: Climate Control: The air conditioning unit was non-functional. I was forced to request and use a portable space heater from reception, which is an inadequate and inefficient solution for proper climate control. Electrical Issues: The room's electrical power initially required multiple attempts before being successfully switched on. Plumbing Issues: The bathroom drainage was severely obstructed, causing water to pool and overflow during showering/washing. Furthermore, there was a persistent and foul odor, consistent with sewer gas, emanating from the bathroom area. 4. Reservation Inaccuracy (Bedding) As a solo traveler, I had specifically reserved a room with a large single bed. Instead, I was assigned a room with two separate twin beds. A further complication was that these mattresses were overly worn, sagging significantly in the middle, which made it impossible to push the beds together to form a comfortable sleeping arrangement. Conclusion: The accumulation of these issues—from delayed check-in and poor room air quality to critical maintenance failures in plumbing and climate control—demonstrates a clear lapse in standard hotel management and upkeep. I strongly advise future guests to confirm all room conditions prior to booking.

A pretty old hotel, although it has been renovated, you can still feel the communist type of architecture. It has great, free wi-fi, even in the rooms furthest from the reception and the location is right in the centre of Sofia. The price of the rooms is great, considering the hotel's location. On the other hand, the cleanliness of the rooms wasn't on top. We found out that our sheets haven't been properly washed. On top of that, the window couldn't be closed entirely, and therefore, cold air and noise from outside were entering the room. Overall, the price is great for such a place, however I would recommend staying if you are looking for a cheap hotel in the centre of Sofia. But I would also advise that the staff pay more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms.

Rooms are nice, staff in the hotel is friendly, the breakfast is very good. The bar still has some challenges: the only red wine you can get in a glass is like a kind of strong acid and the "bartender" has no idea how to open a prosecco. The background music is horrible.

Excellent small hotel in the 'cheap and cheerful' category right in the center - clean, comfortable, friendly staff, and good breakfast. My only reason for the 4 star is that I carelessly left behind my computer charger and adapter in the wall, only to realize a couple hours later that I did so. When I called the hotel to collect them, there was no record of them having been found - I hope the cleaning lady is enjoying them! It was my fault for forgetting them, but I am 100% certain of where I left them, so it's disappointing they disappeared.

We didn’t have good first impressions but we had a very pleasant stay overall. We arrived at 7am morning and most restaurants were still close so we had to sit around the lobby, and we were met by a very unhappy and unreasonable front desk staff - just to ask to use bathroom and sit in the lobby and we were getting the nasty look. We went to wait in another hotel next door lobby who treated us much nicer than our own hotel! However when we came back later at 2pm for our check-in, there was another gentleman, Tsventan Dimitrov who was so nice and friendly and helpful. Overall very pleasant stay. The room is newly remodeled and roomy. The room very clean and modern. Our has a separate living room with fridge and microwave. Both smart TVs can stream Netflix and YouTube. The location is perfect , nearby the shops and restaurants but not noisy. We also feel safe around this neighborhood. The restaurant behind the hotel serves the best seafood, we ended up eating 3 nights there ! We would have had a very different opinion about the hotel and overall Bulgarian if we hadn’t met Tsventan Dimitrov.

Excellent hotel. Clean and comfortable, with very friendly service. The attached restaurant is great quality and reasonably priced, with an additional 10% off for guests. Very centrally located and easy to reach on the metro from the airport. Would 100% recommend staying here, and would definitely stay again if visiting Sofia!

Les Fleurs Boutique Hotel is a sophisticated and stylish hotel located on the bustling Vitosha Boulevard in Sofia. The hotel's striking glass facade with a floral motif makes it easily recognizable. Inside, the floral theme continues with luxurious embroidered headboards and an eye-catching mosaic-tiled staircase. The rooms feature mood lighting and blush colors, creating a romantic ambiance. Situated next to the Red House cultural center in a historic 1920s building, this six-room hotel offers comfortable accommodations.
Location is fantastic! Right next to the pedestrian street. I stayed for nine nights and had a room on the top floor (panorama). Mattress was great and water pressure/ hot water as well. Breakfast was good. I had included in my room rate. Friendly front desk staff. I could walk to all the touristy sites. Ate most of my dinners at the Sofia Central Hall on the second floor. If you go out front door of hotel and turn right there is a nice pharmacy drug store called Remedium. I was happy I stayed here instead of the Hilton. I also used their transfer service to and from the airport.

It's stylish, but quite outdated. The room was big and spacious. But there were some drawbacks. The toilet chair was extremely small. Only one roll of toilet paper. I was missing one towel for showering. Chairs in the room was not comfortable. Wierd strings. The bed was comfortable. The location couldn't be better for a weekend in Sofia.
Pétur H — Google review
Well located hotel with spacious rooms, even the old decor and concept (specially the bathroom). Comfortable beds, quiet room (back side - no rumors from the crowded Vitosha street. Breakfast is not a buffet option, you have a list of menu to choose and if you want something to repeat is extra charged (even if you don’t take something form the initial list and instead of this, you want something else extra). Plus the music sound in breakfast area, 8 o’clock in the morning, is like you are in a club and you have (“force” better saying) to dance. Under this, I didn’t try it at all, left it without tasting breakfast, returned back to the room, having a headache from the music (I am not a retired person..)

Very very central, right in the middle of a street akin to La Rambla, with bustling energy and restaurants on your doorstep. Daily cleaning and good bathroom (albeit with a strangely small round toilet). Unfortunately, this hotel is clearly past its best. There is no boutique feel to it, no facilities. No kettle in the room, weird lights that go off CONSTANTLY in the room (fun when you're having a bath and they cut out), air con is insufficient and very little natural light in the room. Location really is the only thing it has going for it.
Bequita — Google review
Very well located hotel. We asked for a 3 bed room and got a double bed and an extra bed suitable for children, but not for an adult person. Very thin mattress on a metal frame... we asked for an extra mattress but were told that they did not have any. The first morning our breakfast lasted 1 and a half hour because the service was non existent. The second morning, everything went smoothly. The decoration of the hotel is very Nouveau riche :-)

Stayed there a couple times because of budget restrictions. Quite acceptable as a 3-star hotel, but it is never a 4-star hotel. There was no iron in the rooms. The toilet seat in one room was a mess. No idea who sat on it. In another room the washbasin was broken, had a crack. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was good. But I didn't get full. The view of the run-down backyard was anything but nice. Messy! Bathrooms definitely need restoration. The price for the room was just about 100 euros.

This is a hotel that probably had it’s day in the 2010’s but is lacking renovations and care. Location is amazing. But the minute you enter reception you will notice it is not anymore the Hotel The NY Times described as “boutique” back in 2012. To be honest, there is nothing terribly wrong. Room was clean, bathroom as well. But everything shows the sign of time and could be renovated. Towels are simple but ok. My room had a noisy air conditioner and some stains on the sheet. Also the curtains do not block out light completely, which in the Bulgarian summer months can be annoying. Service is pleasant and informal.

Hotel Romantic in Sofia is a casual hotel with bright quarters and free breakfast. The cozy bar and eatery, along with the seasonal terrace, offer a relaxing atmosphere for guests. The rooms come with complimentary WiFi and public parking. Guests can enjoy the restaurant's fireplace and barbecue facilities. Located just a 10-minute drive from the city center, it's praised for its warm staff, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts, and beautiful views.
We stayed in this hotel 1 night every summer for 3 years in a row. Absolutely like this hotel because it is small, family like, quiet and offers all we needed. The staff is nice and friendly. I can mention that I have never seen such clean rooms and clean hotel overall. They take care of everything; it is not luxury, but it is nice and welcoming. Strongly recommend it for couples or families. During summer it is a lot of green nature around and feels very refreshing.

Spotless, large rooms, very well equipped. We had an amazing view over Sofia. And don't think we ever had a breakfast with so many options in a hotel this small.

This hotel is certainly to be recommended. We were here only for one nicht before going back to Belgium. A problem with the room was solved immediately. Probably a very good location when you want to walk in the mountains. Breakfast from 7 but they changed without any problem to 6.30 because we had to get our flight. Carpet in a room is not my thing but was no problem.

We got there thanks to war in Ukraine and it was very important to feel the support and care of the personnel there. Very kind and warm attitude. Tasty breakfasts, beautiful rooms, amazing view from the window. For us at that moment though the human's warmth was the most important and we got it here. VERY RECOMMENDED :)

We have stayed here twice and it keeps getting better. This is a good family-run hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant serves great food, typical of the area and the people there are really helpful and friendly. It is located in a quiet area of Sofia near the mountain for walks and bike riding

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar, as well as amenities such as a terrace, garden, room service, and parking.
Really cute boutique hotel, it’s in a great location, the person at reception is very humble, kind and helpful. The room is very pretty, bathroom has quality wash gels. The sheets and towels are very clean. Moreover its value for money, would definitely recommend and if I come back to Sofia I would not look for another hotel
Shusha S — Google review
It’s a very nice hotel, which is located very centrally- walking distance from all the important monuments. The room was spotless, the staff incredibly friendly. However, the fact that you cannot adjust the temperature in the rooms made my stay very uncomfortable as I could not sleep because it was too warm in the room. I tried opening the windows but there were people hanging out outside every night (I don’t know if it was from a bar nearby) and that was not an option. As you might have read it’s almost self check in, unless you catch the reception times, so tried inquiring about the room temp and they offered to bring me a small fan - unfortunately that never happened. Also the fridge didn’t work (also hot air inside) so I couldn’t store anything inside. In general I only got one response from all the messages I had sent. If you don’t care about the temperature of the room or noise you could stay here but I would not recommend this hotel to people who are very light sleepers like myself or sensitive to temperatures.
NJ — Google review
We arrived and to find out this hotel was totally an automatic entrance with no staff present so we used the phone number provided to gain entry. We subsequently went out to dinner and returned at 11:30 to find that our beds had no top sheets or duvets on them which we had not noticed when we dropped off our bags. We attempted to contact the hotel on the phone number provided but there was no answer so we spent a cold night with one basic sheet over us and the mattress protector underneath and no duvet. When we contacted the hotel eventually and complained we were told that as it was summer we shouldn't be surprised to be provided with only one sheet! The room was cold with no apparent access to heating and the temperature in Sophia was not warm. For the price we paid we would expect at least a duvet on the bed and also when we checked out the bathroom there was a cockroach in the shower. Having an automatic entrance to the hotel without the need for a staff member present shows the shortcomings when it comes to situations that arise like this. I would put it again down to Bulgarian cheap practises when it comes to staffing. As to responding to our complaint I found it extremely rude to suggest that we shouldn't expect any anything other than one sheet on our bed with no apology and a total lack of care for the customer. Breakfast is pretty basic and what I'd expect from a three-star hotel. Considering the cost for one night I would expect a much better breakfast and a much better room and service. Avoid at all costs, there are much better hotels for the same price. From other reviews apparently we are not the first people to complain about the lack of professionalism from the management in response to complaints and rude responses. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!

We booked the hotel for 1 night, as we were visiting a gig in the city centre. We knew that the hotel is self check in and read the instructions how to check in, however upon our arrival (at 14:30) we were not able to enter. We called the owner and we were explained that there was an issue, because we have booked on the same day (although they took our booking and our money and we checked in after the announced check in start time at 14:00). As there is no constant reception staff, we waited about 30 minutes from somebody from the personal to come and check us in. After that, the employee left and we headed for our room. However the card keys we have been given were not working, thus we had to wait another 15 minutes for the staff to come back and fix the issue. In total it took 45 minutes to check in. We booked a twin room with a balcony for 200 BGN a night, but we were told that the room we booked was not guest worthy as there was no air conditioning in it and we were upgraded to a double bed room on the last floor. However this room had no balcony, just a small window and it was quite dark, also they forgot to put a hand soap in it. We tried to contact reception about it, but the employee has already left. We came with a car that we parked at a paid parking near the hotel, the hotel have provided info that the parking is paid, however the price they have announced was not correct and needs updating. As a positive we can say that the location is central, the rooms were clean and the receptionist was very friendly. However at least from our experience we cannot say that our stay was value for money. What interesting is that after re rated the hotel on Booking.com (as we booked it via this website), the hotel owner messaged us to basically tell us that all that we shared is true, however its our fault, because we have booked on the same date and more over BECAUSE WE WERE BULGARIANS!!! He also implied that if he has a choice, he won’t accept Bulgarians at his hotel, because they might rate the hotel poorly! Never once he offered any kind of apology for our experience in the hotel. Honestly, I have visited many hotels, but have never had such an experience!

Location is excellent. Rooms and corridors are too dark. For anyone with mobility problems, many challenges = steps in entrance corridors, no handrail, step up into the shower and no hand support. No english language tv station. Otherwise passable

It was super nice! The rooms are very big, the bed was comfortable and the check-in was very uncomplicated. I liked as well that the shower was huge and the room was in general beautiful designed.

Central place to all the monuments and a street filled with restaurants and coffeeshops. I'd like to take the opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Angie. She went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay calling up the bus station to ensure I get the right bus to plovidiv and coordinating the visit to the hotsprings bath. Also they were very flexible upon check in and check out as I had left my luggage with them. Thank you again Angie and hotel 36. I'll definitely be back to visit you and your country. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to add my rating on the booking.com platform which would have been a 10. Recommend this place. The only drawback is that they don't provide fridges in the room, but again Angie supported me by letting me use the hotel fridge.

Saffron Indian Restaurant is nestled in Sofia's student district, offering a fusion of Indian and Bulgarian cuisine. While not entirely vegetarian, the menu leans heavily towards meat-free options. The restaurant boasts a charming blend of Indian and Bulgarian influences in both its food and decor, creating an inviting atmosphere to savor ancient Indian flavors. Saffron stands out for its commitment to using locally sourced fresh ingredients, supporting organic farmers in the area.
We had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant, so much so that we visited two days in a row! Chicken Masala, Chicken Tikka, and Chicken Biryani were bursting with rich flavors, perfectly cooked and perfectly balanced with spices.. To top it all off, the Elaichi Kulfi was a fantastic dessert. A special mention to Abaas and Emmy for their exceptional service, they were attentive, friendly, and made our experience even better. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Chef Prakash and his team truly went above and beyond. Highly recommended!

🌟 A Flavorful Feast at Saffron – A Must-Visit in Sofia! 🌟 From the very first bite to the last morsel of naan, our family’s visit to Saffron was pure delight. Nestled in a peaceful outdoor setting, this restaurant delivers an authentic Indian dining experience that feels both vibrant and homey. The aromas, the presentation, the hospitality — everything was on point! We tried a colorful variety of dishes: creamy korma, hearty chana masala, rich palak paneer, and the most flavorful tikka masala — each dish bursting with spice and soul. The basmati rice was perfectly fluffy, and we couldn’t get enough of the warm, pillowy naan (especially the cheese-stuffed one — dreamy!). Even the children devoured their meals with gusto, which is saying something! The service was kind, attentive, and truly welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, making the meal feel like a celebration. Saffron is a hidden gem in Sofia that we’ll be returning to again and again. Whether you’re a seasoned spice lover or just dipping your toes into Indian cuisine, Saffron will leave you glowing — and full. ✨ 10/10 – Highly recommend for families, foodies, and anyone in need of a little curry comfort! ✨

Shopping mall
Shopping
Serdika Center is a stylish and upscale mall in Sofia, featuring over 200 shops, international fast-food restaurants, and cafes. It's considered the best shopping mall in the city with a great selection of clothing stores and shoe stores. The mall also houses a supermarket for daily grocery needs. Located close to the city center on Sitnyakovo boulevard, it offers a cozy shopping experience and hosts a huge office center within its main building.
One of the biggest malls in the city! However, there is no cinema in this one, better have this in mind if you are planning to watch a movie. When it comes to the shops, just like Mall Paradise, I think it is very well equipped and has something for everyone. The Christmas decoration is very sweet too.
Borislav T — Google review
Pretty big for an urban mall. Some places were under construction/repurpocing. The interior is more modern than the exterior that is a little aged. The prices are typical, following each brand's policy and pricing. That means, it is not a discount mall or an outlet. It is very well connected to public transport. One thing I didn't like at all is that the toilets were not so clean or at least there was a disturbing odour.
George S — Google review
Very clean city …a lot of tourists…very impressive and emblematic monuments…i strongly recommend it as a city break…
Kostas I — Google review
I overall like how this mall is designed, it has many useful stores, a couple of libraries, most (if not all) major banks, a few glasses stores and a couple of restaurants, in addition to a food court. Another big plus is the location: it's in a relatively safe area and it's very well connected to a few major lines of public transport. As a downside, the toilets are poorly ventilated and rarely cleaned, I avoid them and the surrounding area if I can. There is no cinema in this mall, but this never bothered me; this mall is likely built for/by the green office building in its middle (that one is not well designed at all, the smoking space is practically a "space platform" and it is a nightmare to access the office building before the mall opens). There used to be TV screens in the food court mostly playing music videos, but they have been turned off or stopped working.
Madi S — Google review
Modern shopping mall with a wide variety of stores, from international brands to local shops. It’s clean, well-organized, and has plenty of places to eat. A good spot for shopping or just spending a few hours indoors.
Walter W — Google review
Maybe this place is good for shopping or dinner/lunch, but there is no entertainment, not even a cinema, which in my opinion is a huge drawback.
Dimcho N — Google review
Decent shopping mall with ample stores and great shopping experience. Food options at the top floor was plentiful with a good range of healthy options as well as fast food restaurants. Toilet was clean and nice with beautiful greens. Available huge supermarket billa at the basement was nice, as well as a very good money exchange shop just opposite it. Even on weekends the mall is rather quiet and peaceful so that is nice. Brands such as zara and h&m are there. Excellent lounge spaces for people to rest, available paid massages chairs are all over the place, nice sofas with nice cushions availavle for families, also presence of large number of lockers which you can put your belongings. Excellent mall indeed! Even a children's play area so it's definitely family friendly! Overall a good shopping mall in sofia, comparatively. Its conveniently located with parking and you can easily get a taxi at the taxi stand right in front of the main entrance of the shopping mall. .
Chia J — Google review
Quiet mall, comfortable for shopping with many international and local brands, as well as a floor for restaurants. Clean toilets, free personal storage lockers, electronic and human inquiries I do not forget that there is a Turkish cafe in the basement behind the escalator. It serves Turkish tea and Turkish coffee. It has many Turkish sweets. In addition to sweets. Turkish ice cream

Metropolitan Hotel Sofia, a member of Radisson Individuals, is a contemporary 4-star business hotel located in the Airport district of Sofia. The hotel offers 201 air-conditioned rooms and is conveniently situated near Arena Armeets and Sofia Airport Centre Business Park. Guests can enjoy free WiFi, a 24/7 gym, sauna, and steam bath at the relax centre. The hotel also provides free airport shuttle service upon request and availability.
I had a long stay at the Metropolitan Hotel and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The rooms are very nice, modern, elegant, and new. Making it a very comfortable place to stay for an extended period. The staff is truly amazing: welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The food at the hotel is great, with plenty of delicious options to enjoy. The location is also very convenient, with a mall nearby that has everything you might need during your stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for both short and long visits to Sofia.

The rooms are great with a massive extra king size bed. I ate well at the restaurant. We organised a 3 day conference for over 40 people in the hotel and the rooms were well equipped and cleaned. The reception staff was splendid and allowed me a very late checkout! I am looking forward to returning when visiting Sofia for business.

Stayed here June 2025 for only one night but I will definitely be back again for my next trip - it was such a pleasant stay. The receptionist was so lovely making sure I had everything I needed as I checked in rather late. The waiter at breakfast was also very accommodating, he showed me what I could and couldn't eat after I informed him of my dietary requirements and there were plenty of food options available. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I struggled with was not having a mirror in the room - the only mirror is in the bathroom.

I stayed here many times. Nice hotel with nice rooms. Hotel is totally renovated the last year. 5 minutes from the airport, but not close to the center. Big shopping mall on 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is good. Only "negative side" is that the prizes has gone up, and kind of doubled since the last few years.
Arne M — Google review
Cleanliness is very important to me and I haven't stayed in such a clean and well-maintained hotel for many years. Therefore, I was very apprehensive when I entered the room. However, when I got to the room, the sheets and bathroom were spotless and very modernly decorated. It was also great that there was no carpet on the floor. There's a bad smell when you enter a hotel room, but here it was just perfect.

Such a pleasant stay! We really enjoyed it. The staff were always friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The room was big with an extremely comfortable bed. Their towels are so soft and the water in the hotel is great quality. The breakfast is so tasty and there is a huge variety of food options. I looked forward to waking up early just to eat it 😁 Will definitely come back! Kudos to everyone at the front desk and the restaurant staff!

Fantastic. The room was spacious and clean. The view was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly. There is parking. The bar is nice. Absolutely amazing experience overall.
Rinisa T — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was below expectations, especially compared to the standard that Radisson hotels usually provide. Right at check-in, the first impression was unprofessional – the staff were not in uniform and did not provide any basic information about the hotel, breakfast, or the spa center. When I entered the room, the TV was not working and the wardrobe doors were broken. I reported the issue, and although they promised it would be fixed “tomorrow,” nothing was repaired during my entire stay. Room service was practically unavailable – I tried to order for half an hour, but no one answered. Both in the restaurant and at the reception, staff were often nowhere to be found, which made the stay even more frustrating. The food is not of the best quality, while cleanliness was acceptable. If you expect the quality and service usually associated with Radisson, unfortunately, you will not find it here. I would recommend considering other hotels in Sofia.

Very nice hotel. All the employees were taking high level of effort to make my stay as much comfortable as possible. I received all needed informations about the most important places to visit in the city and help about organising travel around the city with a taxi or a public transport. I will keep in my mind that place to return to it next time.

The hotel is quite far from the city center. Breakfast is not included and they try to charge you when you have breakfast. The pool is quite small and cold. They also charge extra for sauna and steam room. It is not a hotel that is worth the money you pay. There are much better hotels for this money. I definitely do not recommend you to stay.

I recently stayed at the Western Plus Olives City Hotel in Sofia. Overall, the stay was comfortable, but I was disappointed with the handling of a personal item I accidentally left behind. I forgot my sunglasses and charging cable in the room after checking out. When I contacted the hotel about it, I did not receive a clear or helpful response from the staff. There was no proper follow-up, and I felt that my concern was not taken seriously. It’s unfortunate, as I expected better communication and assistance from a hotel of this standard. I hope the management improves the lost-and-found process in the future.

I recently visited this hotel gym, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. Many of the machines were out of service, and the ones that were working felt poorly maintained. The gym also had broken lights, making the space feel dark and uninviting. It has potential, but without proper maintenance, it doesn’t offer much value. Hopefully, management addresses these issues soon.

Clean, confortable, attractively priced hotel with nice, competent and friendly people, both in the reception and the breakfast room. Highly recommend them for a stopover en route to Thessaloniki or if you have a car for a Sofia long weekend.

Hotel Marinela Sofia is a luxurious accommodation located in the Lozenets district of Sofia. It offers modern amenities including an indoor pool, ballroom, and barber shop. With 441 rooms providing fantastic views of the city, this high-end hotel is situated close to popular attractions such as Vitosha boulevard and the National Palace of Culture Conference Centre. Guests can also enjoy access to eight refined restaurants and bars within the hotel premises.
Hotel Marinela is truly one of my favorite places to visit in Sofia! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an elegant and luxurious atmosphere that sets it apart from other hotels in the city. The design and style throughout the hotel are absolutely impressive — modern, sophisticated, and meticulously maintained. Everything is spotlessly clean, and you can feel the attention to detail in every corner. What I love the most is the variety of restaurants and bars, both inside and around the hotel. Whether you’re in the mood for fine dining, casual bites, or a stylish drink, there’s always a great option without even leaving the premises. It’s the perfect place for both a relaxing stay and social experiences. Whether you’re a guest or just visiting for dinner or an event, Hotel Marinela always delivers top quality and comfort.

What an absolute disgrace when it comes to the staff customer service. The hotel itself is fine, a little old-fashioned, but the people running it make the whole experience terrible. The so-called “team” clearly have no clue about customer service and no interest in their guests. They were far more focused on chatting among themselves, rolling their eyes, and generally being unhelpful than actually doing their jobs. It’s pathetic when the only person with an ounce of politeness was the receptionist, who at least understood what we were saying and apologised. (21:00 - 26/08/2025) But apparently, the manager is nowhere to be found until the following morning — so if you’ve got a problem in the evening, tough luck. Here’s a thought: hire an evening manager, because your current staff are absolutely useless. The real tragedy is that the chef in the main restaurant is doing good work. The food itself was tasty and of general good quality (though the pizza was lukewarm at best), but it’s completely overshadowed by the disgusting lack of customer service. What a shame that such good cooking is being wasted on a place where the staff simply don’t care. A lot of room for improvement!

First impression, doorman smoking cigarette with another employee asking us if we need help and clearly he didn’t want to put off his cigarette. We said no. Lobby is what I describe is tacky chic, with depressed looking employees.. The rooms are carpeted, but I don’t think they vacuum them often and have a musky smell. The bed had a thin hard mattress, pillows were huge like a couch cushion. The hotel has a nice garden and a few restaurants, tried two of the them and they were nice with good food. There was a wedding on the first floor and the DJ was playing till 4:30 a.m , we could hear and feel the techno music in our room on the 16th floor.

Good sized rooms, clean. Bright, and at times a bit quirky/bizarre internal deco - with lots of 'lines' everywhere in the interior design of the lobby and restaurant area! Can seem a bit trippy and surreal. Restaurant service is ok, but lacks enthusiasm and attention to the patrons. Food is good, fresh and tasty.

Great hotel, new style renovation is not my expectation but is nice. Parking is always full and expensive, good restaurants and nice atmosphere. Good value for money for business trips

Let me take you on a little journey – a vacation that turned into an unexpected undercover mission in a low-budget action movie. I booked a relaxing stay at what I thought was a hotel. Turns out, I accidentally checked into Grand Theft Auto: The Resort Edition. From the moment I walked in, it felt less like hospitality and more like I was crashing a mob meeting. The lobby was buzzing with “working ladies” (and I don’t mean receptionists), and some guests had bodyguards. Yes, actual bodyguards – and not the cute kind from romantic comedies. I’m talking about the “we might be hiding weapons under these suits” type. Very comforting. I haven’t clutched my suitcase that tightly since Ryanair announced carry-on fees. Things took a turn for the hilarious (and sad) the next morning. We strolled down for the breakfast we PAID for only to be told, “Sorry, there’s a group event, no food for you.” I didn’t know you could be gatekept out of a buffet you literally bought. Felt like a high school party I wasn’t cool enough to attend. Should’ve worn my fake VIP badge. Then came the cherry on this bizarre cake: no room cleaning. I’m not talking one day forgotten – we asked three times. Every time, the reception politely explained (aka shrugged and walked off) that “we’re full, so no cleaning.” I didn’t realize that a full hotel meant no soap, no towels, and eventually... no dignity. Oh, and how could I forget the leaking bathroom ceiling? I got a little free indoor rainstorm with my shower – very immersive. A spa experience from hell. The staff were about as friendly as airport security, minus the uniforms and any willingness to help. Honestly, if sarcasm were an Olympic sport, the front desk would take gold. Final verdict: If you're into danger, discomfort, and a side of disappointment, this is your place. But if you like clean sheets, breakfast, or not fearing for your life, maybe swipe left on this one. Definitely zero stars for value, but five stars for plot twists.

Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia is a luxurious high-rise hotel located in the heart of Sofia, offering a perfect blend of hospitality and innovation. With over 400 bright and tastefully furnished guest rooms, this five-star establishment provides airy quarters for its guests. The hotel features a full-service spa, event space, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and several restaurants. Its central location allows easy access to the vibrant city center area and nearby attractions such as Jerusalem Hachshara restaurant and the Great Synagogue.
It was a 5 star by all means. It was really great huge rooms great view, everything was clean and nice. Bed was super comfortable and there was space for everything. The only 2 little things I'd mention is that when we entered the room it was hot and there was no air, which was kind of rough to enter a room like that, but once we setup the AC all was good. And the second thing is that even with all that space, there was 1 toilet so if someone needed to get ready, the other couldn't go to the bathroom which was a bit annoying.. But I would highly recommend it and if I go back I know there's a world class hotel waiting for me..
Roie R — Google review
The hotel is spacious, luxury and with very nice atmosphere. The reception staff is very polite and helpful. The food definitely needs improvement, for a 5-star hotel is expected a lot more. The other thing which I found unpleasant is the organization of the cleaning staff - vacuum cleaners, mops and buckets with water are everywhere, I understand they need to clean but it could be arranged in discrete and not disturbing the guests way.

I had a great stay at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia. The customer service was truly outstanding, staff were consistently attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout my visit. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a great view over the city. One downside: there is no pool area, which was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this category. However, the well-equipped spa and fitness facilities helped make up for it. Overall, a high-quality hotel experience in Sofia.

I have stayed in many hotels in Sofia, but this one wins the gold medal. I have been here twice now, and both times were pure comfort and satisfaction. The rooms are enormous, more like stylish apartments, with huge bathrooms, smart layouts, and perfect soundproofing. I slept like at home thanks to the high quality mattresses. The gym is very well equipped, the spa and pool are a treat, and even the hairdresser in the building is very good. It is also a plus to have good restaurant options on-site, and the breakfast is excellent, with sweet, savory, and plenty of authentic Bulgarian dishes. The staff make you feel genuinely welcome, and on-site parking is an additional convenient feature of this hotel. It is located at only 10–20 minute walk to the city center, depending on where you are heading to, and from the higher floors, the views of Sofia are breathtaking.

Hotel Millennium in Sofia exceeded all expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and style. The amenities are top-tier, and the overall atmosphere feels luxurious yet inviting. This is the kind of hotel that makes you look forward to returning after a day out in the city. Absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Sofia!

A truly wonderful stay – despite some unpleasant company I’m currently staying at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Sofia, and I couldn't be happier. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, spotless, and offer a stunning view of both the city and the surrounding nature. The staff here are exceptionally kind, polite, and helpful – whether at reception, breakfast, or housekeeping. Their warmth genuinely adds to the experience. That’s why I feel compelled to say something after reading a series of negative reviews, mostly from certain tourists from israel. Having stayed here for two days now, I’ve witnessed firsthand the kind of entitled, disrespectful behavior that makes you wonder how some people function outside their own homes. Loud complaints, senseless arguments, and a general lack of basic manners – all directed at the very staff who go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Frankly, I’m more shocked by the vulgar attitude of these guests than by any of their so-called grievances. And then to see them leave negative reviews? What a performance. Honestly, it says more about them than it does about this fantastic hotel. To the staff: you have my full respect and gratitude. You handle yourselves with more grace than most could ever manage ❤️
Milan K — Google review
An elegant shell with an underwhelming guest experience. Overall, the Grand Hotel Millennium didn’t live up to expectations - mainly due to disappointing service that didn't match the hotel’s impressive appearance. The hotel is beautifully designed, clean, and visually striking. We stayed in a Premium room, which was spacious and very comfortable. The food was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the front desk staff fell short. Taxis we booked well in advance were only ordered once we physically arrived at reception. There was also a double charge for parking - acknowledged by staff but never resolved, despite several follow-ups. When we arrived by car, the bellboy simply directed us to the underground garage without offering help with our luggage. For a hotel of this level, I would expect at least basic valet service.

A hotel where I've used to stay for business four years ago, and has been a great surprise returning again. After arriving to the airport after midnight, we called the hotel asking for transport, that managed really fast a taxi. Once we arrived, and due to an error of our company my coleage and me hadn't any reservation for that night, but Antonia, the recepcionist that night, showed a great attitude and kindness and told us that this was not going to be a problem, and just five minutes later we were in our rooms. I have to say that two days later she also provided (with great patience) some indications to visit the city, as the stay was longer than expected. Regarding the rooms, I have to admit that the bed is one of the most comfortable I've found, and I am use to travel a lot due to my job. The acoustic isolation is absolutely amazing, even for sleeping during the day, and all facilities, including the bathroom are nice, and over all, very clean. I have truly apreciated the fact that now a glass bottle is provided, and a fountain with hot, cold, room temperature water, is instaled, so I've managed to have all the water I wanted without using a single plastic bottle. As expected, the breakfast by itsef is on of the best I've tried regarding the nice short of things available at hand, and also on demand to the kitchen, together with the profesionalism and good maners of the restaurant and bar staff. Without any doubt, a place where to stay and have a good rest.

Located in Borovets, a 70 km from Sofia, Rila Hotel Borovets is a utilitarian lodging with dining and lobby bar. It offers rooms with balconies and unfussy rooms as well as suites. There are various restaurants and entertainment clubs within short walking distance. The hotel provides 24-hour front desk assistance, concierge service, bus tickets service and European meals at the venue which is set in Centrum district of Sofia.
I really enjoyed my stay here, even if it was for a night. The hotel is central, but no parking available. This is not a problem, as the reception staff can guide you where to leave the care without issues. The room were clean. We did have a small issue with the smell (from the cleaning products or air conditioning) but they helped as by changing the room. The sunrise was amazing!

We have the deluxe (renovated) room. It’s pretty standard, clean enough, but the sink is really small and you splash water everywhere. The water pressure in the shower is very weak and paint is chipping off the railings in the bathroom. The beds are small but not terribly uncomfortable. The lighting is dim. There’s a small fridge in the room which is convenient, but no cutlery should you decide to bring food back— also there is no cutlery available anywhere in the premises according to the front desk. Staff were reasonably friendly when checking in, but don’t bother requesting anything or asking questions beyond that. The view from my 7th floor deluxe room is really beautiful. The price is also great and so is the location.

Would like to give my thanks to the wonderful staff! They helped me so much during my stay, helping me print documents in a rush, providing directions, providing morning calls, passing on my messages etc. They were so friendly, helpful, and kind. The best concierges I've ever encountered! 5 stars! Also, Hotel Rila is very clean, has an excellent location near the metro, and had such a good array of breakfast foods:) will definitely recommend Rila with all my heart!

We went there in the night read that is pet frinedly hotel and good quality . After one hour extra driving in the middle of the city arriving át the reception , the mán behind the desk was just smiling and not accepted our two small calm 2,5kg and 6kg dogs. I am seriously dissapointed of the behavior and the hotel. I was the last one week in 8 countries and never had this kind of bad experience . I kindly ask the mán to help and he just pointed in another hotel smilling. Thank you . Hope that my message gets around !!

The hotel’s location is excellent—just near Vitosha Boulevard and within walking distance of most major landmarks in Sofia. I stayed in one of the older, non-renovated rooms, which was clean and well-maintained. However, I did notice that there were no complimentary water bottles, tea bags, or coffee provided in the room, unlike what’s typically offered in most Dubai hotels. The view from the room was amazing and added a special touch to the stay. Overall, considering the price, it’s a good value for money.
Elie S — Google review
Despite booking the hotel quite in advance we only found out on the elevator ride up to the room that there would be a water cut the following morning and we wouldn’t have any water from 05:00 to 10:00. We did not get an advance notice nor a reduction, we were simply expected to accept the fact that we wouldn’t be able to flush the toilet or shower all morning. In addition the mattress in the room was very worn down despite us getting one of the renovated rooms and it was so uneven that it gave a back problems. After trying to give feedback at the reception the staff was very hostile, and tried to downplay the severity of the mismanagement and inconvenience.
Luis V — Google review
I booked an unrefurbished room to save some money and it was wonderfully retro, as was much of the hotel. Reception were very friendly and helpful (I spoke with a lady there), also the staff at breakfast were equally friendly and helpful. Staff spoke very good English. Room was in good condition despite being very very old, bathroom was in worse condition but I expected this (refurbished rooms will be in better condition). The room came with two single beds, both with duvets and blankets, a TV, a wardrobe, a desk with drawers and a chair, a balcony (no table or chairs, just an ashtray and a view) and a kettle with cups (but with no tea or coffee - bring your own). Free unsecured WiFi was available but it was very slow. Breakfast was ok - reception told me to look at it first then go downstairs to pay (it costs 20 BGN or 10 Euros per day) in the morning. There was tea, coffee, hams/salami, cheese, cocktail (mini) sausages, fried eggs, cheese/cabbage mix, boiled potatoes, toast, jam, yoghurt, fruit juices. I would definitely stay here again, the staff were fantastic and the location is so central

We’re very glad to find this hotel. Perfect room with a quiet nice view from the balcony and really fresh air. Comfortable bad—sweet dreams 😊 Delicious breakfast: enough for men😉☺️ fresh fruits, coffee, other drinks. We used it just for one night on a road home. But, it was great🤗 There is a pool and a bar in the territory.

Excellent spa hotel. The spa is of a very high standard. Open until 8:00 PM. There is a huge, really hot pool, a large jacuzzi, 2 wet saunas, 1 dry sauna. Spacious and luxurious rooms. What to improve: An elderly receptionist is very slow, does not speak English and is not nice. No sense of service. Very expensive Other than that, a modern and amazing hotel

Don't be fooled by the pictures. This is not a well maintained spa hotel. The spa is decent, other than that - stay away. First room, late checkin, tired, didn't complained about the single bed instead of double I booked - bath was flooding. "It is not blocked, it is just draining slow ..." Didn't help. Changed room. Second room was ok till night fall. Then an electrical humming sound don't let you sleep. Second day got the correct double bed room I booked , but no AC... "Take that" with an old electric heater was a fast solution and the point I understand I made a bad booking selection. Never again.

Normally I don’t do reviews, but this one had to be written, zero customer friendly, staff was very rude and unfriendly. I paid online and had proof that everything was in order, when I went to check in, they told me that I hadn't paid, and that I would have to pay again. Even after showing proof of payment. This is unacceptable on the part of the receptionist. We asked to speak to the manager in charge or someone in charge of the hotel, but that were denied. After saying that I had called my lawyer, in less than two minutes, I was informed that the payment was in order.😂 It was a comedy in this hotel, I still don't know why they say it is 4*. We asked for the room to be cleaned, and no one from cleaning came for 3 days in a row, finally we had to ask for towels and toilet paper at reception. Horrible experience!!!! People were so rude that they wouldn't look you in the face. On the day we were supposed to check out at 7 am, we couldn't find anyone at the hotel. We tried to call, but they were also unavailable at the moment, even though when we read the “rules” it said 24-hour service available. In the end we had to leave the key with a security guard at the hotel gate, who wanted proof of how we had paid, again 😂 I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. breakfast was always the same, cold and often from the day before. The only thing that was really good was the pool, otherwise it was a 0.
Sabrina C — Google review
It was definitely perfect for my solo business trip. The hotel itself is nice, I like the concept. The gym inside is quite decent and I like the breakfast area although the breakfast itself is quite basic but acceptable. The spa area also seems nice but I didn't find time to use it. My room was huge with some beautiful ambiance on the big balcony. My only slight issue was the staff. Part of the staff (most of them) is absolutely amazing and professional. One small part, unfortunately, seems like they absolutely hate that they have to work there. 🥲 And that always makes the situation awkward. But other than that, I am pretty satisfied and would love to come back in the future.

Rooms are old, full of spiders and spider webs. Bead sheets are old and with holes, needs renivation. Uncomfortable beads Good breakfast, very nice area, very nice parking. It is good except for room cleanliness and old run down furniture and low hygiene.

I had a deeply disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful, making even simple requests feel like a burden to them. The location is awful—right next to a noisy highway. On top of that, the entire place feels outdated and poorly maintained, with worn-out furniture and a generally grim atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I used the swimming pool only. 50lv./pers. The swimming pool is ok but when you spend several hours there around lunch you need to eat: big mistake! The service is awful, actually even ridiculous. 1h to bring the menu, then lot of things missing, the waiter (if I really have to call him like this, as he didn't seem to feel concerned about serving) brought the wrong beer opened! Then 2 salads came after 30 mins, then the cutlery! 1=2h later came the plate for the 3rd guest: it was the only warm coyrse ordered but it was served cold, and obviously waited somewhere long before it was served! Then the waiter brought the appetisers! Ah! And my salad (supposingly burrada, tomatoes, pine nuts crusty prosciutto crude and pesto) arrived without ham and pine nuts! And served strangely with cherry tomatoes and one big tomato. I travelled in lots of places in the world. I know how bad French service can be sometimes, and in Bulgaria too, but this is on the top of my "worst experience" ever. Choose another spa or pool around Bulgaria if you can.

Crowne Plaza Sofia, an IHG Hotel, is a modern complex located in the heart of Business Park Sofia. Situated near Vitosha Mountains and a metro station, it provides easy access to the city center and famous attractions like Boyana Church and Vrana Park & Museum.
I recently stayed two nights at the Crowne Plaza Sofia during a business trip, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. From the very beginning, Petya Georgieva provided outstanding service — from the smooth booking process to answering all of my questions with warmth and professionalism. Even though I arrived two hours before midnight, I was still able to enjoy the spa area, which was a wonderful surprise after a long day of travel. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was elegant, luxurious and relaxing, and every detail felt carefully thought out to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Overall, everything about my stay was exceptional — the service, the facilities, and the genuine hospitality. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sofia, whether for business or leisure. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip! And - the breakfast is a must when booking, it's phenomenal!

Having stayed in many hotels and traveled a lot, I’ve come to realize how important the staff and the atmosphere they create truly are. Here, the team is simply outstanding — incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, they make you feel at home from the very first moment. The rooms are quiet and stylish, the pool, spa, and gym add to the comfort, and the breakfast — with fresh juices and made-to-order omelets included — is a real delight. The restaurant downstairs and the sky bar upstairs offer different moods, but what makes this hotel truly unforgettable is the wonderful people working here.

I stayed with my wife in room 506 and my wife left earlier and had already left a good review despite the shortcomings. But my departure was ruined by a transfer delay of 25 minutes. I was called a taxi and told to wait 10 minutes and went out on the street and sat in a restaurant against reception and was seen doing so. When I decided to go to the exit myself, I saw a taxi leaving. When asked why I wasn't called by a guy with a small beard, we didn't know where you were and the taxi waited for you for 10 minutes and that's not true!!! They didn't even try to call me. When girls at the counter are better served. Two guys think they can have fun with someone else's account. time spent and a bad taste at the end of a wonderful oddah.

The customer service is one of the best, selfishly because I got a free upgrade to a suite on a top floor. The restaurant on the ground floor was really good too. I got the authentic meat platter and It made both my stomach and heart full.

Great hotel. Just celebrated five years anniversary. Nice and clean rooms. Well maintained hotel. Restaurant and bar with delicious food. Amazing rooftop bar with a great view of the Sofia city centre and around. Very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend staying in this hotel while you on business or holiday trip in Sofia.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Check in was efficient with a friendly receptionist, whilst all common areas were clean. Our room was lovely - large, with a very comfortable bed and very clean throughout. We asked for non-feather pillows as we are allergic, and this was sorted for us via reception with ease. Shower had a great water pressure whilst all the amenities in the room were perfect. The spa area was very relaxing and spacious with extremely welcoming spa staff, although the jets in the pool didn’t work, which was disappointing. All staff we engaged with were very warm, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.

Ask for Alex Nikola at Front Desk. He helped us with our Hyatt points exchange transactions and upgraded us with breakfasts. Thank you Alex. His knowledge and customer service skills far exceed our expectations! The room has all the Hyatt amenities with excellent balcony view. The breakfast is delightful and scrumptious. The rooftop bar view is one of the few in Sofia. Excellent location near all city center amenities and tourist attractions. Definitely recommend. Please like my review if you appreciate the information.

Excellent hotel. The location is most central, 3 minutes to the cathedral. The building is new, its interior is modern, everything is shiny. The room is good size, sound proof, squeaky clean. Great staff, amicable, extremely helpful. The hotel provides ample parking in their underground garage.

I stayed here for a week and had a great stay. I used a suite upgrade for my stay. Upon check-in, we asked if there were any other suites available since the hotel had many different layouts. The hotel was also very busy since they had many rooms booked for a movie production. It didn't seem likely but Petar said he would try. About a half hour later, he was able to switch us to another suite that suited us much better. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and we greatly appreciated it as it made a huge difference in our comfort level. The staff and chef at the club lounge were incredibly accommodating (I wrote down their names but cannot find it, so I apologize for not having it). My wife is vegan and many times, she can't enjoy the food and many hotels can't or won't accommodate. However, the chef and staff made sure there were vegan options and food with substance. They also kept the lounge very clean and everything full. They made frequent rounds without being overbearing and checked in if we needed anything. The staff at breakfast were also very nice and accommodating during our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the gym and spa facilities. We enjoyed the multiple types of saunas and the various water/air jets in the pool. It's definitely one of the better spa and pool facilities we've visited.
Michael A — Google review
I had the most wonderful 3 night stay in between business trips in nearby countries. The room was spacious & spotless & I loved the sensor lights for bathroom trips during the night. The Club Lounge was superb with an excellent range of drinks and snacks. The gym equipment is modern and of excellent quality. The Wellness Centre is free of charge with multiple saunas, a pool and treatment rooms. I had a relaxing, well priced massage. The only negative was that I didn't get to see much of Sofia because I was so happy & comfortable in the hotel. Not a drop of dysfunction to be found. Bravo HR Sofia! As a travel agent, will definitely recommend this as the ONLY place to stay in Sofia.

I stayed at the Hyatt for two nights and both the rooms, restaurant and spa facilities were excellent. This is the perfect location, we could see the cathedral from our bedroom window. The staff were excellent, especially the concierge Uri, and Tom, they went above and beyond. The lady who tended to our room was excellent as well as being very friendly and making us feel welcome. There’s nothing not to like about the Hyatt. The staff can’t do enough and the rooftop bar is a great place to relax, eat and drink. Anna Marie was our waitress and helped with recommendations as well as being a superb at her job. I can’t recommend highly enough, I’ll definitely be back!

Hotel is on a nice place. The room was nice, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and people on the reception and other staff warr very kind and communicative. Everything was fine and we are satisfaid. Special greetings to Mac 😀🙏🏻 Next time, for sure, we will stay there again!

Good hotel with comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. The only towing è of complaint was that I was charged for something from the minibar, which I didn't take. Management nonetheless quickly rectified the issue and refunded me. Ultimately, it was resolved easily and amicably.

The rooms are great, but we had some minor problems. The location is excellent. The breakfast was great. They only have rooms for two so we had to split our family to two rooms.
Yaron Y — Google review
Everything about this hotel was top notch! The decor in the room was wonderful, the staff so helpful and the breakfast as a smorgasbord. The location was amazing, right across from the big central square and adjacent to a metro entrance. I had lovely peaceful and clean stay!
Molly K — Google review
Great location - less than 5 min walk to the walking street and plenty of restaurants, as well as many parks. We only stayed one night, check in and out were easy and smooth. Be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs (one flight) to get to reception. For us, it wasn't a big deal but other reviewers sounded surprised by it so just a heads up!
Krista B — Google review
Under Renault and there is no proper awakening, and guests have to carry all their luggage up until a staircase and no one to assist. Customer service is horrible. Reception is worse they can't find the booking. It was a double sharing, and one had already checked in, and we mentioned it, and they say no such person. Finally, we had to wake up the other person to get the room number. Definitely, the staff should be much more attentive. A few more guests arrived at the same time, and they too were very annoyed after travel and layover, and then the hotel had zero interest in the guest.

Amazing place in the mountains. Very close to hut Aleko. The rooms were nice but not enough toiliteries in the bath room. In an apartment for 4 we had stuff for only 1 person. The rooms and the whole place were extremely warm for end of april, to the point wr couldn’t sleep well in the rooms nor enjoying the lobby. The spa is small but nice, the only problem is the steam bath is so extremely hot you cant spend inside more than 20s because it literally starts burning your skin. (From someone experienced with hot saunas)

Amazing location on top of Vitosha Mountain. Very calm with superb views. Hotel was clean and the service is amazing. its a perfect get away for family with kids. There is a bus service which stops exactly in front of the hotel, else a pleasant drive in your car would get you here. Value for money and an amazing hotel.

Wonderful spot near Vitosha Mountain – great food and stunning views I stopped here before hiking up Vitosha, and it was the perfect place to relax. The building is beautifully designed with a cozy, home-like atmosphere, and the views of the snowy mountain peaks and forested slopes are just breathtaking. I had the chicken soup – it was a large portion, delicious, and exactly what I needed before the hike. Service was excellent, the setting was peaceful, and I’d definitely come back again – whether before or after exploring the mountain.

Best Hotel I have ever been! I booked spa room for me and my fiance and it was Amazing. really clean with jacuzzi ja sauna. The staff was really friendly. spa area is small but has many saunas, nice views, calm and relaxing. We are going to visit here again no doubt.
Oskari I — Google review
Mixed feelings. I would say between 3 and 4 stars as overall experience. This is an old building, recently renovated. Takes time to get there even if you drive. Rooms are nicely decorated but rather small. The lobby bar is nice. Service is hit and miss - depends on the person but in overall service is adequate. Main restaurant- alright. Could be noisy over the weekends or in case of booked events. Management needs to keep an eye on the main entrance, If dead bird stays for 2 days right on the entrance, something with the cleaning isn’t quite right. Overpriced for what it is. I wouldn’t go back there.
Stoyan N — Google review
This is a review for the restaurant. The waiters are so rude it's unbelievable, it's like they hate all guests - one even shamed us for the amount of food ordered. The food is mediocre at best and not worth the high price - the fries are cold and hard, the meat is overcooked, the dips are the same quality as supermarket ones. The wait time for everything is a lot, even ordering your food takes a while and gets bad attitude from the waiters. There are much better places around, don't waste your time and money there.
Desislava A — Google review
Nice view, the hotel is quite old. Rooms ok, but not worth the price, clean. Food is terrible, really disgusting. Risotto verde it was a mix of overcooked jasmine rice with frozen spinach. French fries hard. Everything was really low quality, like mixed leftovers. The worst option to spend money, really. NOT recommended to eat here, the staff not really nice.
Natalia K — Google review
Dinner at this so-called 5-star hotel was a complete disappointment. The potatoes were as hard as toothpicks – absolutely inedible. The cheesecake was overcooked to the point of being burnt, with a dry, charred texture. And the duck, which should have been a highlight, was served practically raw in the middle. At this level, you’d expect refinement and attention to detail, but the reality was the exact opposite. I definitely do not recommend dining here.

I had a great 3-night stay at LION Hotel! The staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable throughout my visit. The hotel was clean, but many things felt worn out and in need of repair or replacement. It was also quite noisy, which affected our comfort. A double room is definitely not suitable for three people—the extra couch was very uncomfortable. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, definitely 5-star quality!
Teodora I — Google review
Great place for a short getaway to Sofia. The hotel is warm and comforting with lovely staff who are only too happy to help. Fabulous location within walking distance to most places, but the metro is close by just in case. Would highly recommend
Rebecca K — Google review
You can get a better place for the price of this one. An older gentleman was very disrespectful with me. He yelled at me infront of all the staff of the restaurant for something I was asking about the restaurant (in the reception ) and he was not understanding. Whatever the reason, this is not a way to answer a client. The curtain of my window was not working. They “fixed” it twice in my 5 days in there. They don’t have blackout either, so if you want to sleep until late is pretty impossible. I feel it’s a bit far from the attractions and for me walking solo, was not a very nice street at night. You can find closer and nicer hotels to the center. I wouldn’t stay here again. I have to say that the cleaning every day was great!
Montserrat L — Google review
Worst hotel in my 1 month Balkan trip. No service mind, unfriendly, and error service. Room is quite bad. Not allow guest to adjust the temperature. No toilet outside the room for guest. Only good thing is location nearby the bus station but Price is quite the same as Ramada and Best western that I have never found this kind of problem with. Rather choose to stay there next time.
Mimi — Google review
Hotel Lion is comfortable and convenient. 20 minutes walk to the main shopping street and sights. The staff are friendly and helpful. A great choice of breakfasts in the cafe next door. Recommended.
Jane B — Google review
Beyond mixed. And yet never again! Beautiful exterior, boutique-style entrance, generously-sized tower suite but oddly a loose handle in the shower. Cheap, tiny TV. Had to pay extra for another coffee pad, unimaginable elsewhere. Exaggerated prices for below average food taste in adjacent restaurant, unfriendly staff attitude included. Milk for coffee was extra. Very central location with nice views at a huge square but shabby neighborhood surrounding it, doesn’t feel particularly safe. I heard shots at night, frequent street racing. Many grimy looking, young men loitering when they should be at work (I am bald with full beard myself). Staff speaks English poorly. I asked for assistance with bus tours to the Buzludzha monument; the day time shift, a chubby man with glasses, was not one bit helpful. I missed the tour. When needing a cab to the airport at 4am, night shift locked up the hotel from the outside and left, I couldn’t step outside. In pure desperation, I downloaded the Sofia taxi app, it wouldn’t work. Night shift left a sign that he is on coffee break. It took over 20 min for him to return. I searched the entire basement for him, debated climbing out of a window but suspicious men outside made me reconsider. I won’t return to this hotel, to the crumbling City of Sofia, or the decrepit country of Bulgaria with its many rude people - who let you into the EU??

We booked in Vega because it’s near a lot of consulates (which was our reason of the trip), so it was very convenient! The breakfast was amazing, simple but very good! Enjoyed every bite. The room was very clean and spacious, had complementary teas and coffee. The view was beautiful! In general, simple but nice hotel!

Nice Hotel not far away from the airport. The rooms are ok, but more appearance than substance. If you have a more close look, you see a couple of things need to be repaired, but not a reason to choose a different hotel. I haven't had the chance to use the sauna or the gym. Breakfast was good.
Clemens K — Google review
Hotel rooms are modern, nice and spacious, always seems to be someone at reception. Breakfast had your standard intercontinental foods. I was told you had to pay extra to enter the gym but that seemed a bit excessive. There's a metro station 10 minutes walk away so it's fairly well placed. Only issue was when leaving we asked reception to book a taxi and a van to which a small car turned up and had no ID and didn't handle card or had cash for change. Then proceeded to charge us 30 euro for something that for previous trips cost less than 20l felt like a scam. Other than that I can't really complain

If you want to pay 4* prices for a mediocre 2-3* hotel, this is it. To give you some details: -Breakfast was basic -The wifi in the room only worked near the door -The shower didn't drain properly. Asked to fix it but nobody bothered -The room didn't have an iron, asked for one, to their credit, I received the next morning -No bottled water in the room -Last but not least, the hotel is near a busy intersection and the windows are not sound proof, so if you have light sleep like me, you will have a hard time sleeping.

Stylish and modern room, however our view from the room was to wall. The parking is also Elevator based, so be careful with your car and it’s length. The breakfast was tasty but mediocre in terms of the amount of food served.

Very nice and comfortable hotel with good quality of service. Hotel staff are attentive to the guest’s needs. Rooms are cosy and for solo-couple travellers are more than enough. The hotel is in a good location as through the metro the guests can access downtown Sofia in roughly 20-30 minutes. Very pleased with my stay, would recommend.

A good hotel. The interior aside from the rooms is very interesting. The rooms have everything you’re looking for in a hotelroom and were clean. A nice surprise was a little cake we received on the second night. Breakfast was really good. Everything your might want, you can find there. The only negative we experienced was the thin walls and by that poor soundproofing of the room. Due to that we could hear other guests returning to their room and slamming their door during the night.

We spent a couple of nights in this lovely hotel which is placed in the heart of the city. I checked in at the late hour, but there was no problem at all. Me and my girl enjoyed spacious room, especially jacuzzi in the bathroom. Next morning, we witnessed breakfast full of everything. Literally everything 😃 I haven't had a big breakfast for a long time but I couldn't hold myself. The next day, my girl felt the weather was so hot and wanted to rest in the room. Then they came with a plate full of fruits, and it was a pleasant surprise. And before we went outside for dinner, they told me they have happy hr with free drinks and snacks. I could get a vary generous pour of scotch and rakia, my girl got some white wine as well. Overall, the staff are lovely and friendly. I would stay again if I come back to Sofia 😀

Large, clean, quiet double room with a large, comfortable mattress and perfect pillows for sleeping. Bathroom equipped with everything. Quiet room which allowed us to sleep well after long days of tourism. Breakfast is fantastic, plentiful, with sweet and savory dishes, typical Bulgarian and European dishes: you will eat good and a lot. Definitely worth included with your room. The location of the hotel is perfect and allows you to walk everywhere: you can reach museums and monuments in 5-10 minutes. The best restaurants in Sofia are 3/5 minutes away. Furthermore the staff (who speak English perfectly) are kind, attentive and thoughtful. The last one day they allowed us to delay check out by an hour and booked us a taxi to the airport, checking the license plate to make sure everything was fine. We will definitely return to this hotel, I highly recommend it.

Our place is like a little apartment, not just a room which we love. The only thing which could be a problem for some people, there is no elevator in the building.

Perfect place to stay for anyone wanting a taste of old world Bulgarian charm, rather than some anonymous chain hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, and you can walk to all the main city centre locations.

The hotel is perfect! Very nice location and friendly staff. The atmosphere is also amazing!! And the rooms are always clean. It's in the perfect spot if you're a tourist since it's 5 mins away from the centre. There are a lot of cute shops and cafés nearby as well.

Fabulous (cute/quirky) guesthouse in most convenient location - close to Alexander Nevsky cathedral (ideal landmark) and Knyiaz Alexander Dondukov Blvd (with a good range of cafés, restaurants and other eateries) Dessi at reception was absolutely wonderful; friendly, extremely helpful and a plethora of useful advice and recommendations. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Lovely place in a side street of Sofia,.close to the opera. The building is from 1911 and the rooms, the stairs the landing.tiles.are all from the same era. We had a bedroom and an anteroom which were both very tastefully done with antique cupboards and side tables. The bathroom is also big and has tiles from a bygone era. Windows are large and open to the street - you get a bit of street noise if you like to sleep with open windows. One more thing - heritage building means no elevator - be prepared to haul your luggage up to your room.

Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Sofia, Oborishte 63 Boutique Hotel offers elegant accommodations with a touch of old-world charm. The hotel, originally a residential building from the 1930s, has been meticulously renovated to preserve its intimate and distinguished atmosphere. With air-conditioned rooms featuring complimentary WiFi, guests can enjoy a comfortable stay while being within walking distance of popular attractions like Alexander Nevski Square and Sofia University Metro Station.
✨Wonderful Stay in a Quiet and Stylish Hotel ✨ The hotel is located on a peaceful street, just a short 6-minute walk from the metro station. The surrounding area is vibrant, with plenty of great bars and restaurants to explore. Initially, I booked a room on the first floor, which was a bit too close to the reception and had windows facing the restaurant. Fortunately, the staff kindly helped us switch to a suite on the third floor (for charge) —and it was perfect! The room was quiet, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was served directly in the room, which added a lovely touch to the experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended

How many lies can you tell? When I booked, I was told I could check in after 1.30. When I arrived at 2.30, I was told that actually it was after 2 (which it already was). I was told I had to wait until 3.30. When I asked why, I was told it was because a Guest was ill and they had let them keep the room longer. When I asked if there was another room, I was told the hotel was fully booked. Strange then, that I could book three rooms for the same night on the major booking platforms when I checked. Finally pieced together the truth No sick Guest Not fully booked Just 6 checkouts and only 1 chambermaid. The manager was less than apologetic. He maintained that check ın was some time after 2....not at 2. Offered free breakfast in the end but even that was hardly gracious. Best avoided....Who knows what lies they will tell you?

Our main concern was safety and the hotel’s staff disregard for it. The front desk is not staffed 24 hours. We knew this. They assured us we could contact someone if necessary; that a phone number would be posted on the front door. One night, our key cards would not unlock our room. No phone number was posted. We frantically searched the front desk area and found two numbers to call. Neither answered. Other guests overheard the commotion and offered to help. One had a different number to contact. No response. Another took our key cards to ensure they didn’t work; they didn’t. We were very upset. There was a call button in the elevator. An elevator repair person answered it. He could only help if we were stuck in the elevator; he had no access to the rooms. We insisted he had to do something. He had two numbers he could call for us. No answer. He then suggested we search the front desk area for a Master Key card. After desperately searching we found it and got into our room. However, it was clear that ANY determined person could have found the Master key putting guests at risk. The whole ordeal took about an hour. We decided to leave a day early. The front desk clerk contacted the manager who refused to give us a refund. We asked to talk directly with the manager and he refused to directly talk with us and would only communicate through the front desk attendant. We left. If safety is a concern for you, avoid this hotel.

We had a great stay here- we actually stayed twice. The rooms were both very spacious- had separate sleeping and living areas and the decor was very beautiful. Both of our rooms (junior suites) had their own balconies. The hotel is in a prime location in Sofia, close to the center but far enough away to be quiet. We used the complimentary sauna which was a wonderful way to relax on a rainy day. Will stay here again!
Joanna S — Google review
The hotel is very clean, with all necessary amenities in the room. The location is good, close to points of interest, but I must point out an important issue: parking. If you are a foreign tourist, you may face serious difficulties finding a parking space, which can cause significant inconvenience. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the attitude of the receptionist (the young man with glasses). From the very first interaction, there was a complete lack of openness and willingness to help. His tone and behavior were rigid, showing none of the basic courtesy and hospitality one would expect in a hotel. We felt as if we were not welcome there, which should never happen in customer service. The most upsetting moment was in the morning, when we came down for breakfast (included in the room price) during the allocated time, only to be told—completely nonchalantly—that the cook had already left. We were traveling with a 5-year-old child, but this did not seem to matter to him. He offered to prepare breakfast himself, although that is clearly not his responsibility, which raises serious questions about the hotel’s organization and service standards. We did not pay for an improvised experience, but for complete services as advertised by the hotel. I have never written a review like this before, and it is not something I enjoy doing, but I believe it is important for the owners to know that such behavior can undermine all the other positive aspects of a stay. I will not return to this hotel—not because of the conditions, which were good—but solely because of the receptionist’s attitude. People come back to places where they feel welcome, and in our case, that feeling was completely absent.
G P — Google review
It’s a very nice boutique hotel, the room was really stylish and spacious. The receptionists were super nice and helpful. Great location with good restaurants and cafes around. We walked everywhere and took taxis to go out to restaurants at night. Highly recommended
Huguette L — Google review
Our first impression of this four-star hotel was a negative one. The young receptionist, in sweatpants, was unwelcoming and unprofessional, which immediately set the wrong tone. While our room was spacious and adequately furnished with an attempt at unique decor, we were disappointed to find the electric window blinds completely inoperable. The remote controls were nowhere to be found, and the front desk staff's poor excuse that "no one has asked about this before" was unhelpful. The nicely made fireplace was a highlight, if working it will be a great feature in the winter months. Overall, this hotel did not deliver the high-end, boutique experience its price point suggests.
Latchezar B — Google review
nice place to stay in a trendy area, albeit a good 20 minutes walk to the centre. the receptionists were both friendly and helpful. only the room cleaning let the place down. they didn't come one day and I wasn't convinced the bathroom was perfectly clean

Sofia Beach Resort Hotel is a top choice for travelers, offering 23 rooms with modern amenities like high-speed internet and flat-screen TVs. The resort features 8 indoor sand volleyball courts inside a large balloon for winter sports, which is removed in the summer. Guests can enjoy the outdoor bar and restaurant Ozzys Kitchen serving delicious cuisine. The facility also accommodates business meetings. The surrounding nature is stunning, and the staff and pool are well-maintained.
Best resort in Sofia! I consider this hotel my home away from home! This place is fantastic, from it’s friendly staff to providing impeccable services. The best are the 8 indoor sand volleyball courts inside a large ballon for winter recreational sports. The balloon top is then removed in the summer months during good weather. I also can’t say enough about the restaurant Ozzy’s Kitchen. It serves up a delicious variety of cuisines. I recommend this place to all my friend and everyone coming to visit Sofia. Five stars!

The nature around is amazing, staff and pool are clean and nice. The sunbeds were a bit dirty, I guess because of rain. The service from the bar was very slow. Not varieties for lunch. They should improve the serving speed. Overal experience was nice.

Incredibly bad service in the restaurant. We sat on a table without a sign “reserved”. After waiting 30min we were told to move to a different table, because the one we picked was apparently reserved. New table was not clean / unserviced from previous customer. I’ve asked politely to clean it before we move, in the end they never came to tell us it is ready. Wasted 1h waiting and when i asked if they are willing to let us order they refused. I’m not sure what was the problem with the staff, but i guess they don’t care.

Fantastic friendly atmosphere, great food, run by a wonderful team! Plus a chance to meet interesting international people during beach volleyball tournaments and other events. Rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and the view is beautiful. A great place for a break, writers retreat, healthy holiday, party and a comfortable place to stay during your visit to Sofia.

Kind of disappointing. The kitchen was limited to pizza and salad mostly, the restaurant is serving in cartoon boxes - no dish, etc. The pool is pretty small. 2 stars because the staff is friendly and and the place is clean.

Nestled in the heart of Sofia, Impresamente Art Hotel offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers. This charming hotel features warmly decorated rooms and spacious suites, perfect for both business trips and leisurely stays. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, a delicious breakfast served by friendly staff, and access to event spaces. The property boasts a lovely garden along with free private parking, making it an ideal choice for those exploring the city or attending meetings.
A small but fine hotel, very clean, rooms are big. Located in a business center of Sofia not far from a big mall where almost all shopping possibilities are available. And the best point is the most polite freindly staff that I have ever seen. This is the big plus. A very small negative but that is a matter of taste : The mattresses are a bit hard and the pillows as well.

Perfect, stayed for 2 weeks. Sometimes it's a buffet breakfast other times the staff will cook up something for you. Always friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day and spotless, the hotel staff even printed subway maps to help me find my way to the best art galleries and sights to see. I would 100% stay here again. Edit: came back and did stay again, missed breakfast and the staff just cooked me something there and then, just as helpful, clean and friendly as last time. Best hotel in the area for sure!

Highly recommended stay: great comfort and service. Our stay at this hotel is very pleasant and meets all our expectations. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-designed with good attention to detail. The hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere and clearly takes care to uphold high standards throughout the property. A nice touch is the hotel’s focus on art and culture. Throughout the hotel, you’ll find art books featuring works by various artists and master painters, which creates a cultured and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is particularly noteworthy - they are very friendly, professional, and clearly understand what good hospitality means. They are always ready to help and seem to anticipate our needs well. Their attention to detail is impressive, and nothing seemed to be overlooked. We also used one of their meeting rooms for work, which was a pleasant and well-appointed space - much nicer than the typical plain conference room you might expect elsewhere. We would definitely recommend this hotel. When we return to Sofia for work, we plan to stay here again. It’s a solid choice that combines comfortable accommodations with genuinely good service.

I visit Impressmente on business trips and it's a fantastic hotel with an amazing host who serves a great breakfast to me and my colleagues. The rooms are spacious and clean with a well stocked minibar, most of the rooms are single beds which can be pushed together but there are other rooms available. The bathrooms are always clean and the little l'octaine hand soaps and gels is a really nice touch. I look forward to my next trip!

We had a very pleasant stay through a business trip. Staff were very friendly and ready to help you in any way possible. Room was very clean and very comfortable to stay with the best location close to Paradise Mall and close to Metro with easy access to the city center as well.

I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, generous, and always eager to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made me feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay. The entire hotel is spotless—everything smells fresh and clean, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining a high standard of hygiene. It’s rare to find a place where cleanliness is taken this seriously, and it made a big difference in how comfortable I felt. One of the standout features for me was the EV charger in the garage—a 22kWh charger that they allowed me to use completely free of charge. That kind of thoughtful service is hard to come by and truly appreciated. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options to choose from each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day. Above all, it’s the people who work there that make this hotel special. They are friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back!

Very new hotel with incredibly friendly staff. Near to a metro station and a large shopping mall. Yes, it might be more expensive than some other hotels in Sofia, but it also is brand new and unlike most other hotels in Sofia even in the same price range, it is clean and has a pleasant, modern interior. Our stay was very enjoyable.

In the heart of Sofia. Perfect, small family hotel. Very clean and cosy. Friendly staff. Fair prices.
Nickolay M — Google review
This is a centrally located small family hotel. It is nice and clean, but when I tried to use the air conditioner, I was told I couldn't run the cold air if another guest was using the heating function. This is the biggest nonsense I have ever heard. I was advised to open up the windows to get some fresh air, but there were no mosquito screens on the windows which immediately invited a few of them in and I had to listen to them buzzing around all night. The staff is well meaning, but they cannot do much with what they have to work with. At checkin I was given a list of choices for breakfast, but then at breakfast, they had forgotten about me, and I had to wait to get any attention. They did not offer the whole grain bread that I had selected, nor did they know what eggs sunny side up were (!). Overall, not a bad choice, if you don't mind the operational inconveniences, and the lack of an elevator. On the plus side, the mattress was one of the most comfortable ones I had ever slept on. When I asked what brand it was though, they couldn't tell me, and there was no label on it. Then, 30 minutes before checkout the housekeeper barged into my room thinking there was no one there while the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was hanging on the door handle! Take your chances with this one - but is it worth paying over $120 for the privilege - probably not!
Peter D — Google review
Very nice family run hotel, I thought the bathroom was especially good. Bed was comfortable, an the hotel is nice and quite with no road noise, even with a window open! Just you need to be down for breakfast when you requested it as it prepared and on the table for that time. All in all a lovely stay here, and close to the main social street 4-5 mins walk, but that gets you a quitter place. And just by the metro (1min).
Russel T — Google review
Very beautiful hotel located right in the center of Sofia. Only few meters away from the metro with plenty of restaurants and places to see nearby. The rooms are very clean and every morning you're served some delicious breakfast. It also has a bar if you're in the mood for a cocktail or some excellent coffee in the morning. Staff is very helpful and polite. If you wonder where to eat, not only do they have a few recommendations ready, but will also make a reservation for you and call you a taxi. Great place for tourists or business trips.
Space Z — Google review
The hygiene was extremely bad. Poo on the floor in the communal toilets on the ground floor. The whole hotel smelled of it. Told the staff twice that it had to be cleaned up but nothing was done about it by the staff because 20 hours later it was still there. Hygiene of the room was also bad: toilet was clearly used because urine on the seat, stains in the bed sheets, small black curly hairs in the bed. Minibar was not full while we hadn't used anything. It was as if the room was already occupied. Communication with the staff was very difficult. Booking a taxi to the airport in the morning was not possible as there were no cars available they said. Breakfast came too late. All in all, we had expected a lot from this hotel, we are really not the most difficult guests, but this was the worst hotel experience ever (and for that price....). We would have liked to have discussed this with the staff, but given the experience of the entire day, we were not confident that these people could solve it for us. By the way, we contacted the hotel by email afterwards, but no response. Do not go to this hotel!!! Felt the need to adapt my review: we are 2 weeks ahead and still zero respons from the hotel. What I do see are some new 5/5 reviews that seem fake to me. Ocean view??? It's the middle of the city!

We stayed here back in September. We actually stayed here twice in 15 days because we were doing a road trip through Bulgaria. Our first stay was wonderful. We had to wait at the reception a little bit, because this new girl needed training. We were offered complimentary drinks and apologies for the wait. We went to our room which was on the top floor. There was no elevator, but for us that didn't matter. We were really happy with the room. Overall a great experience. We came back about a week later for our last days in Bulgaria. This girl who needed training was there, training a new girl. (Even though she started the week prior). This is a bit odd, but probably necessary because of the lack of employees after covid ofcourse. Unfortunately this girl was not prepared at all to be working this front desk yet. We did not get a nice welcome this time. She didn't know what she was doing and told me to wait a little bit. She asked for the passports checked them and threw them back on the counter. Then proceeded to talk Bulgarian with the other girl for about 20 minutes and then put the roomkey on the desk. She said here is your key. I waited for more instructions. After about ten minutes of being ignored. She said : do you need anything or something? Mind you, i didn't have a room number, nor had i payed anything. She was so rude i decided not to say anything about the payment and just asked for the room number. It was the same room so that was nice. The new girl then came to our room to ask us to come pay the deposit. When i came down i got an horrible glare from the other girl saying: you know about deposit. I just said yes, payed and left. Did not feel like being around ger for much longer. The gentleman who did our breakfast was lovely.
