Resort hotel
Nestled in Coloane, Macau, Grand Coloane Resort offers a luxurious retreat with modern accommodations and a range of amenities. The resort is popular among local families and golf enthusiasts due to its 18-hole championship golf course and various recreational facilities. Guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor pools, as well as access to Hac Sa Beach. The spacious Palace Rooms are elegantly decorated with Chinese motifs and feature high-tech amenities such as touchscreen tablets for room controls.
If you are looking for calm & serene, with great service, in the crazy of Macau, this is the place to stay! We are a family with 2 Autistic children, and we spent nearly a week in this lovely place, with the Macau Golf Masters. It was amazing! The food was excellent, the rooms were fantastic, the pool was wonderful, and the staff were so attentive. This is our choice when in Macau!
Danielle J — Google review
Lovely resort if you prefer peace and quiet. Very good for family vacation with young and grown up children. There is no casino and hence atmosphere is very different from other hotels in Macau. The resort is facing the ocean which gives a splendid view. Many hiking trails nearby. Resort has pools for children and adults. Only disadvantage I found is that the resort doesn't have frequent shuttle service which makes the transport a bit of a hassle. However easily reachable by taxi.
Santanu D — Google review
Fantastic hotel, great for families. We loved the pool, with its zip wire, obstacle courses and huge range of floaties. The kids room was perfect at the end of a long day of swimming, and the playground kept our daughter occupied after breakfast. The service was impeccable - we felt really cared for, our needs anticipated and nothing was too much. The rural location is gorgeous and the air outside smells like greenery. The view of the sea from our balcony was incredible. It would be nice to be closer to some shops but that can’t be helped of course. Overall, highly recommend this place for families - it’s the ideal getaway with your kids.

Really good resort if you want to stay away from busy venetian, parisian or any other casino hotel. Spacious rooms and view of ocean, indoor and outdoor swimming, jacuzzi, steam and sauna in very good condition, and very good breakfast spread. Easy acceas to beach and walking garden space
Nischey M — Google review
The Grand Coloane Resort has a 5 star rating and rightfully so! From the get go, everyone at the resort has been nothing short of efficient, friendly, warm and proactive. Being service oriented is a given but somehow the team of Lina, Victor, Edison, Helen, Rachelle, May, Hancy, Lorrie, Jeremy and Vien along with the other staff we've interacted with, have truly exceeded our expectations and are the true gems to this already fantastic resort. Here's our stay in a nutshell: Food wise, we have never had a bad meal at the hotel. You get what you pay for indeed. Flavors, textures and portions are spot on! We had room service most days and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The hotel houses a Japanese restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and Cafe that serves a multitude of international cuisine. Facilities: perfect for families! The pools, jacuzzi, kids area and other activities at The Club were perfect. Swim vests, inflatable toys and the likes are available at no extra charge, so that's something you won't have to pack for. Lots of well.lit comfy nooks and crannies too in the lobby area. They also have a gift shop and an atm near the front desk. The resort is also beside the Macau Golf & Country Club where its clubhouse is at the 9th floor of this resort. Rooms: admittedly, the hotel itself is dated and isn't as flashy as the new casino resorts in the city centre. However, it is nothing to sneeze at either. Our 6th floor room had a stunning view of nearby hac sa beach and the mountains and trees of the Coloane area. Hotel staff cleaned our room, changed our sheets and towels, and toiletries on a daily basis! Beds were comfy, bathroom had a full sized bathtub and the mini fridge was just what we needed. The AC is centralized though, which can be a bother if you want it colder. Location: while our family was in love with how peaceful and clean the surrounding area was, it takes about a 10 minute cab ride tonthe city center. Shuttle schedules are limited and will drop you off at the Grand Lisboa. The staff was more than accommodating in hailing a ride for us. Overall impression: definitely a lovely stay all around at The Grand Coloane Resort. The wine bottle and fruit platter was a nice touch to a stressful day one that ended with us having someone accidentally swap our luggage at the airport with theirs. The hotel staff were dedicated in following up with the airport and airline re this (we entually got our luggage back on day 6 of our stay 😅). The kind words of support, being thoughtful and anticipatory of our needs (bottles of water, in and outs of shipping and places to visit, among other things) really made a difference. Thanks Grand Coloane Resort. My family felt right at home there. The next time we're in Macau, we shall definitely be staying over!
The W — Google review
I stayed here in June 2025 again, and still think this hotel is a real gem—especially for families. Its Coloane location, right by Hac Sa Beach, gives it a relaxed, resort-like feel, far from the hustle of Macau’s crowded casino hotels. Rooms & Facilities The rooms are spacious, with huge terrace-style balconies offering great views. Though the decor is slightly dated, everything is well-maintained. The outdoor pool is massive, with plenty of kid-friendly features (including a bouncy castle on Sundays!). For cooler days, there’s also a heated indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. Dining The breakfast is excellent value, and the food overall is good and reasonably priced. Highlights include the kids' meals, club sandwiches, and pastas. The staff are warm and welcoming, adding to the great experience. Perfect Location for Exploring Coloane The hotel is ideally situated for those wanting to see a different side of Macau: - Hiking/running trails and Coloane Village are nearby. - Just a short walk to Hac Sa Beach with its parks, go-kart tracks, and famous pork chop bun stalls. - Top Portuguese restaurants - Miramar and Fernando’s both easy walking distance. Why Stay Here? If you want a peaceful holiday away from the crowds but still with easy access to Macau’s attractions (just a short taxi ride away), this is the best choice. Highly recommended for families or anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.

Grand Coloane Resort in Macau feels like stepping into the past — and not in a good way. The location itself is lovely, tucked away by Hac Sa Beach, far from the hustle of Cotai. But as for the resort, it desperately needs renovation. This place is still marketed as a five-star property, but honestly, that rating feels very generous based on what I experienced. The entire resort feels worn. From the outdated room decor to the faded hallways, it’s clear that this place hasn’t seen proper refurbishment in years. What really struck me, though, was the lack of attention to basic cleanliness. After arriving around 6 pm, I noticed dirty dishes and trays left outside rooms along the corridor — leftovers from room service. Shockingly, they were still there when we checked out at 11 am the next day. That’s simply unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one calling itself a five-star resort. Breakfast was a mixed experience. On the positive side, they do offer a good selection of food, both Asian and Western options, and plenty of fruit and pastries. But the breakfast area was completely overcrowded — lots of people, and especially families with noisy children, made it feel more like a cafeteria than a relaxing resort breakfast. It was hard to enjoy the meal with all the noise and chaos. Ordered pizza as room service. It took over an hour to get delivered and once it came it was cold. It’s not all bad. The beach nearby is peaceful, and the surroundings are green and quiet compared to central Macau. But that can’t compensate for the outdated feel of the hotel and poor attention to detail. I’d honestly say this is more of a 3-star experience at best. I’ll add some photos and a short video to show exactly what I mean — the worn-out interiors, the dirty dishes in the corridor, and the overcrowded breakfast scene speak for themselves. Would I stay again? Only if they do a proper renovation. Until then, I’d say manage your expectations if you decide to book here.

Hotel room is comfy. Staffs are nice specially all fellow Filipinos- special mention to Tina in dining area. She’s so friendly and accommodating not only with filipinos but with other nationalities as well. Overall experience was really great. Location is quite far but they have a free shuttle to grand Lisboa where you can easily roam around.

Island

Coloane, an 8-square-kilometer island in Macau, offers a diverse range of attractions including temples, churches, parks, beaches, and a zoo. The area is known for its Hac Sa black sand beach and the original Lord Stows Bakery serving delicious Portuguese egg tarts. Once a haven for pirates seeking shelter in its coves, Coloane now provides a slower pace of life away from the crowds.
Coloane Village is a small quaint seaside village located south of the famous casinos of Cotai. It’s great if you’ve run out of things to do or want to witness the slow paced daily life of locals! There’s a lovely bakery cafe Lord Stow’s selling phenomenal canelés and egg tarts, and I’d recommend walking from one end to the other to explore hidden gems! It is pretty small and I think an hour or so would be suffice to explore the area 😌

Beach
Nature & Parks
Hac Sa Beach is a renowned destination in Macau, known for its long stretch of black and golden sand. Measuring about 1 km in length, it offers ample space even during the busy summer months. The name 'Hac Sa' translates to 'black sand' in Chinese, reflecting the beach's unique blackish sand due to minerals flushed by the water over the island.
黑沙海滩 Hac Sa Beach Facing the South China sea, waves are strong. Some water sports and people swimming if there are no weather warning. It's conveniently accessed by taxi or public buses. Food stalls available too. Life guards are located every 40-50m. Safety is taken care of. Nice area for a walk by the beach. Be sure to visit if you are in Macau.
Chiun T — Google review
The beach isn't particularly beautiful, and has nothing to offer shadow, therefore I don't recommend going in the morning like I did as it will be fully exposed to the sun. When I was there there, all the shops, bars and restaurants around were closed, but maybe it was too early (around 9:30am on a weekday). On the positive sides: the beach offers the necessary facilities such as changing rooms, toilets, showers... and is well connected to the bus network. I didn't stay too long as I didn't want to burn alive, but it was a real pleasure jumping into the sea after doing the walk next to it ("coastal trail"), especially as the beach was absolutely empty.
Grasset V — Google review
This is the place that I missed so much , I was there 40 years ago. It used to be covered with all black sand, now the beach is mostly covered by yellow sand. The beach is still the longest beach in Macau, with more new facilities . At the other end of the beach, there is a beautiful hotel resort .
Helen L — Google review
We were surprised because there's a lot of golf balls here at the beach. Not sure if anyone swim here if the weather warmer cuz when we came, the sea water was not friendly swimmer at all. The view is not a ideal place too, to be honest. There're few food vendors around but with very less choices. However, we saw this place has many free BBQ tables around the park which free to use for family or friend group to come and set up their own picnic and cook their own foods. They even provides fresh water as well. Very nice idea!
CakeoJolie — Google review
Calm spot in Macau. Color of the sea is brown. Cleaning service makes beach look clean every morning. There is a BBQ area, campsite (50MOP per person for 1 day, may stay there no longer than 12 days per month), very good playground with french equipment would be nice place for kids as well as for adults. Public toilets, changing rooms and open showers between bus stop and the beach and another with private showers near campsite (cold water only).
Марианна Б — Google review
Hac Sa is also called Black Sand Beach due to the interesting mix of yellow and black sand found here. This is the only proper beach in Macau, located at the southern end of Coloane. You'll find a few beach shops, Portuguese BBQ style restaurants, public toilets and changing rooms, small section of promenade at the southern end as well as children's play area. Importantly, there is a long stretch of beachfront space and outdoor area at Hac Sa Beach. Water quality is murky, not particularly clear but many locals enjoy swimming here. If you visit during on windy days, you may also catch some wind surfers. This can be enjoyable to watch. If you walk up Rua de Hac Sa Long Chao Kok street on the south end of the beach, you often find fisherman pulling small catch from the the choppy waters. Continue that route and you can take what is easily one of Macau's best trails, the Long Chao Kok Coastal Trail, which clings to the rocky outcrops and shoreline and affords hikers some surprisingly good coastal views. You can reach the Hac Sa Beach area by taking public buses 15, 21A, 25 or 26 to Hac Sa. All bus routes are MOP6 per person for all rides throughout Macau.
Brad — Google review
The name Hac sa comes from the sand lying on the beach, black sand. I see it is closer to rough mud than sand. So the water too not clear but dark. The beach is long and beautiful. There are changing room in the toilet and outdoor shower. Some foods are sold at near the street and couple of restaurants are also a good choice.
B L — Google review
The only stretch of beach in the area and it is not maintained well. Unfortunately I would not recommend swimming or bathing here, there is a small play park and some food stalls but the beach is dirty with trash everywhere and the murky brown water doesn't look too appetising. It's a shame because it looks to be the only beach on the island. Nov 2023

Amazing golden hotel @ Cotai Street area. Love the design inside out. The casino has open concept, making it accessible & interesting.

One of the luxurious hotels in the area. All in one hotel. (I think there's different hotels inside it too) Variety of shops are inside it... You shouldn't miss this place as its accessible. (A lot of walk though😅)

A world-class luxury resort that has everything you could wish for! 💎 Galaxy Macau is not just a hotel — it’s a full entertainment destination. From the grand entrance and elegant design to the warm hospitality, everything feels premium and perfectly organized. The property includes multiple luxury hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, and Hotel Okura, all connected within the same complex. The highlight is the Grand Resort Deck with its massive wave pool, white sand beach, and tropical vibe — truly unique in Macau! 🏖️🌴 The shopping area offers high-end brands, great cafés, and a variety of international restaurants. Everything is clean, safe, and beautifully maintained. 💡 Tip: Visit at night — the lighting and fountains make the whole place look magical. 🌃

Very dissapointing casino service. I was approached to become a member. I spent 10 minutes with staff signing up and was told I'd get $50hkd to use on the slot machine. Once the money appeared there was an error and the money instantly disappeared. The two staff members laughed as they didn't know what happened. Then they quickly left before I could ask about the issue. Very unprofessional. The machine is unreliable with the credit money, why would I risk putting real money into the machines. My group saw what happened and we all left immediately as Galaxy had lost trust. Not worth signing up to be a member, go to another more reliable casino. Limited English on the machines and signs.

Great & grand exterior design, especially with the 70s inspired taxi stands & golden trims & windows, very retro futuristic! Excellent atmosphere both from a distance & right within the building! Just fabulous

Really convenient, we can spend days here and can’t cover all the areas. Too bad, the pool was under maintenance process and we couldnt use it. Galaxy resort deck looking so nice and we want to bring our kids next time. We really love the service here. From the bell service to the staffs throughout the hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and walked pass Diamond lobby everyday. Just found out after check-out that there’s diamond right in the middle of the fountain in the lobby. The show took few minute only.

The Venetian Macao is a luxurious resort located in south Cotai, offering elegant suites, plush restaurants, outdoor pools, and indoor canals. The lavish Louis XIII hotel and casino within the resort features a distinctive red facade and upscale boutique elements. With its Michelin three-star LAmbroisie restaurant, the property caters to VIP travelers and gamers.
The Venetian Macao A spectacular experience combining luxury, scale, and charm! 💎 The Venetian Macao is more than just a hotel — it’s a destination in itself. From the moment you enter, the grandeur of the lobby, marble halls, and indoor canals with gondolas transport you straight to Venice. 🛶🇮🇹 The property is impeccably maintained, the staff are professional and welcoming, and the public areas — including the promenades, shops, and lounges — are stunning and immersive. 💡 Tip: Take a gondola ride and explore the indoor canals — perfect for photos and a unique Macau experience. Visit at night to enjoy the lights and the vibrant atmosphere. 🌃📸

This was my first visit to Macau, and I went to The Venetian Macau to see the casinos. The interior design and layout are stunning and beautifully crafted, making it hard to resist exploring every corner. From shopping and dining to taking photos—especially along the charming internal Venetian canals—it truly feels like you’re in Venice. It’s a favorite spot and perfect for capturing memorable moments. If you haven't been to Macau yet, I strongly recommend it. And don’t miss trying the delicious egg tarts—they are amazing!

One of the best hotels in the world. 5 star service, exquisite decor and a true luxury experience. Staff was expertly trained and accommodating, we particularly enjoyed the hospitality of one of the baggage service staff called Jason. Only negative was us not being able to stay longer in this amazing property.
Amaral F — Google review
The Venetian Macao Hotel offers a grand, Venice-inspired experience with luxurious suites, indoor canals, gondola rides, and one of the world’s largest casinos. Guests enjoy extensive shopping, diverse dining, and impressive entertainment options. The resort’s vast size brings excitement but can feel overwhelming and crowded, especially during peak seasons. While the opulent ambiance appeals to many, some visitors may find the décor slightly extravagant and the walking distances long. Despite these drawbacks, The Venetian Macao remains a top choice for travelers seeking a blend of luxury, convenience, and iconic attractions in the heart of the Cotai Strip.
Sujay C — Google review
This is our first time in Macau, and we came directly to The Venetian Hotel. The design and spatial planning inside are exceptionally exquisite and beautiful, making it impossible for us to get enough of exploring. Whether it's shopping, dining, or taking photos, especially the internal Venetian canals, it gives you the illusion of truly being in Venice. It's a beloved spot and a great scenic location for taking plenty of photos. If you haven't visited Macau yet, I highly recommend it, and the egg tarts are incredibly delicious.
CH — Google review
The Venetian Macao is truly something else — the casino and the mall inside are incredible! The whole place feels like a little piece of Venice, with the canals, gondolas, and beautiful architecture. The mall has so many shops and restaurants — you can easily spend hours walking around and still find new corners to explore. The casino is massive and lively, very clean, and well-organized. Even if you don’t play, it’s worth visiting just for the atmosphere. It can get quite crowded at times, but the vibe is great and there’s always something going on. Definitely one of the must-see spots in Macau!
Souad Y — Google review
5/5-ish, so went 4/5... The Venetian Macao — where opulence goes to the gym. Didn’t come to gamble, came to eat and meet, and wow, did the property deliver. Between Red Noodle, Imperial Dim Sum, and some surprisingly solid conference catering, I was happily overfed and under-productive in the best possible way. The shoppes are wild — part Vegas, part fever dream, part “am I indoors or in Florence?” You wander, get lost, and somehow end up with gelato. No complaints. Rooms? Absolute perfection. Spacious, plush, and polished enough to make most five-stars look like they need a tune-up. Service? Flawless — the kind of proactive hospitality that makes you believe in five-star training programs again. Tiny gripes, because no review is perfect: 1️⃣ The A/C topped out at “comfortable” when I wanted “Arctic expedition.” 2️⃣ The hallway noise slips right under the door — it’s like your suite is eavesdropping on everyone’s late-night room-service saga. Otherwise? Sublime. It’s a city-sized resort that actually lives up to its reputation. I’d stay again in a heartbeat — preferably with colder air and thicker doors, but that’s splitting golden hairs.
Paul B — Google review
How wonderful hotel you are! This is one of special hotel in this planet. Yes, this hotel is little old and it is not recently trend. But which hotel can make this mood like here? There's never been a more explicit and glamorous hotel. Every second in here is stimulating. Anyway, I can't stop love this hotel.

Nestled a bit north of the bustling old Macau Ferry Terminal, the Crowne Plaza Macau, an IHG Hotel, is a modern gem that opened its doors on December 30, 2015. This upscale hotel offers refined accommodations with some rooms boasting stunning sea views and contemporary decor featuring warm wood finishes. Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi and take advantage of the indoor swimming pool and fitness center that overlook breathtaking coastal scenery. While it’s slightly removed from iconic spots like St.
I had visited this hotel for a single day , but they have left a very lasting impression. From the check in till check out everything went very smoothly. I had travelled with an 1 year infant, everyone was so considerate. Special thanks to Ms. Anne Wang, she offered us an upgrade by seeing my infant, and was also offered an late check out at the time of check in itself however they further extended that checkout when the baby was asleep. I would defined recommend the hotel if at all you want to stay away from the hustle bustle of the cotai strip and if you have an infant. The only thing that I felt that can be improved is the vegetarian options in the breakfast buffet apart from this everything else is perfect. Would love to stay here again.

Hotel is overall nice, however bathroom cleanliness is the most important factor in any hotel for me, regardless of how big the hotel is. The shower in my room was grotesque, the tile is yellow and there are last black mildew stains on the glass panels, you can tell it hadn’t been properly maintained. The sink was also partially dirty. Very dissappointing considering this is supposed to be a 5-star hotel.

We visited this hotel for a family trip this past August, and our stay was simply wonderful. From the very beginning, Zoey and Jerry welcomed us with such kindness that we were able to enjoy the best summer vacation. In particular, Jerry provided outstanding service from check-in to check-out, always greeting us with a warm smile and genuine care. The hotel room, swimming pool, and breakfast restaurant were excellent. We also appreciated the refreshing drinks available in the lobby. On our second day at breakfast, we were especially touched by a gentleman on staff who remembered the coffee and tea our family had enjoyed the day before and thoughtfully brought them to us again—such an impressive attention to detail. We are truly grateful to all the staff for creating such wonderful memories of our time in Macau. Thank you so much! 😊

We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. The service staff were helpful and friendly too. This hotel also provides free shuttle to the border gate bus terminal where we can transfer to other local buses or free casino buses. They also have limited time special transfer to HK Zhuhai Macao Bridge (do check with hotel). Hotel cafe is a little too crowded but there are many food options around the hotel.

This hotel is located close to the Border Gate as well as the HZM bridge. Everyone we interacted with was professional and helpful. Our room had the sea view and was modern and clean. The food at the restaurants was delicious.

Not a pleasant stay at all. The room was fine but there were things that stopped me from enjoying the stay there: 1. There is no shuttle bus from Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, so I had to take a taxi to the hotel. 2. The shuttle bus from the hotel to the bridge stopped after 14:00. 3. The staff helped hire a taxi, but it took very long and the staff was not very helpful anyways. 4. At breakfast, a lady behind me ordered a bowl of noodles but she required less noodles but more vegetables. The cook was very rude saying that no one would take the other half of the noodles and it was another kind of food waste. I didn’t expect that a cook would talk to a customer this way. 5. I stayed for two nights. During check in , the staff told me that the drinks inside the refrigerator were complimentary but they wouldn’t be refilled. I think this policy is very weird and unsound. If I book a room for one night, check out and then check in again for another night, I can enjoy more free drinks. How about if I book a room for a month?? The room was comfortable. The hotel is very near to the border gate and the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge but again, I would like to mention that poor shuttle bus is provided between the hotel and the bridge. I doubt if it is the way a 5-star hotel serves.

I stayed at this hotel last year for a few days and this summer I came back to stay again for over a week. The hotel room is clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff for my floor was excellent. She was friendly, attentive and hardworking. Her name is Xu Lizhi (徐禮芝). She took very good care of us during our entire stay. My room included breakfasts which was a very elaborate and tasty buffet. Their restaurants are also very good. The hotel has an indoor pool and a functional gym. We used them both and enjoyed them. As to location, although this is not located downtown, it is very convenient as it is near bus stops, one bus stop from border gate where you could ride free shuttles to the big casinos in Taipa. The hotel also offers free shuttle services to border gate and the ferry terminal. There are also many good local restaurants, bakeries, cafes, grocery stores nearby. In addition, it is very safe which is the case pretty much everywhere in Macau. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel, casino and tourist place. People are mostly nice and friendly. So many shops and restaurants to choose from. - Facai (fortune) tree is not in place recently - Free sky cabin tree is wonderful with music fountain - Betting on the table seems to be 3000 local currency. I saw one people having 1 million local currency on a outside table, so the betting is very large

This thing happened july2 2024. First they sold me a room that was not cleaned. They told me to put my luggage inside. Then when I asked them to open the door they refused. I asked them to call the police because my luggage was lost and they still refused to help me. When I asked other customers to call the police for me they actually tried to stop other customers from calling the police for me. It’s the person in photo ! What a horrible place. Are they service staff or gangsters? I have stayed in many five star hotels and this is the first time this has happened. It's outrageous.

So close to the Macao, Hong Kong boarder that if you arrive late it won’t take you long until you can rest your head. With lots of shops within 10 minutes walk, along with a bus station and taxi rank minutes away. Activities within the building and close by is limited if you come with children without spending a lot. So you better win it in the many casinos around and in the building.

$500 a night... The rooms simply are not worth anything near $500 a night. $100 to $150 a night is absolutely reasonable for these size and quality of rooms. $500 a night is just ridiculous and way over priced

Avoid if you or your family member has asthma. The rooms reek of cigarette smoke in the bathroom, since it we had a late check in we didn’t want to bother the staff for a last minute swap. The next day we went to the front desk at 11am and they told us they’ll change the room for us but it was a lie. They said they’ll call us when the room is ready but they called us at 5pm to tell us that there’s no room change available. We got a room at Galaxy Macau instead. We called them about our issue and they issued us a non-smoking room right away. They even gave us gift vouchers for having a bad experience in Macau. A staff member took us straight to our room to check if it’s fine. The difference in service isn’t even comparable. 👀if you’re looking for free tea or snacks while gambling though, MGM definitely has better snacks than Galaxy. That’s the single thing they excelled at.

Not much famous to eat though, but you can walk to "Rua do Cunha" by passing through Venetian Casino, about 15min walk and plenty to eat there. And I like their casino layout as well, it's not crowded and comfy to enjoy your betting night. A refuge of serenity in pleasant surroundings. Breakfast and staff were amazing. Everyone learned my name immediately and greeted me with smiles. Jenna was especially nice and efficient! The room was comfortable and very clean. Despite friendliness, politeness, and goodwill, the concierge staff just weren't knowledgeable to provide correct answers to my questions.
Science T — Google review
I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were some elements that made the experience pleasant, overall it felt more like a 3-star property than the 5-star standard it claims. To start with the positives, the price was excellent. For the size of the room, especially without having to check into one of those massive casino-style hotels, it was a great fit for a couple. The room itself was quiet, even though it was part of an adjoining setup—I didn’t hear any noise from neighboring guests, which was a nice surprise. However, there were several aspects that detracted from the experience. The check-in process was extremely slow. It took nearly an hour before I got to my room, which is not something I’ve ever experienced at a supposed 5-star hotel. There were six computer desks available, but only three front office agents handling check-ins. Meanwhile, three concierge staff were present but not assisting—perhaps they could be trained to support during peak hours. The room carpet was stained and clearly in need of a deep clean. It was one of the first things I noticed and it left a poor impression. In the morning, I was also disappointed to find the minibar tea selection lacking—no breakfast tea and one tea bag missing, which made it feel like the room hadn’t been properly restocked before our arrival. Another issue was the housekeeping staff, who began loudly chatting and shouting to each other in the hallways around 10:30am. It was disruptive and again, not what I’d expect from a hotel that markets itself as high-end. Overall, it’s fine for a one-night stay if you’re looking for something affordable and quiet. But for anything longer or more luxurious, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

We are glad to be served by frontdesk staff Patrick, his room arrangement and explanation on hotel's facilities are great and helpful! We enjoy the room a lot, having a morning run nearby the hotel and along the seaside, followed by a gym section and basketball section! Definitely a good choice to stay in Macau!! Location is close to HK-MACAU ferry, it is about 10mins walk :)

A very decent hotel for non-gamble tourists. Visitors are eligible to use its resort which offers gym room, swimming pool, tennis courts and children playground. For non peak season, visitors are often upgraded to deluxe room. To travel to other places in Macau, visitors can take rides from SANDS which is only 5 minutes walk there. Also many nice cafe and local restaurants nearby. Highly recommended this hotel.

The hotel and it's rooms are very nice. The service in their main restaurant, specially for breakfast is not upto the mark for a 5 star. Waiting for tables, slow/missing service, live egg counter missing orders is something we experienced during our visit there. There is also lack of warmth from the serving staff. The food for our lunch order (in room dining) was very mediocre as well as well as delayed. The hotel didn't seem v full or occupied and yet service and food quality was definitely below par. Lots of scope of improvement for their service and food / beverage quality.

Cheoc Van Beach, also known as Bamboo Bay, is the smaller and quieter of Macau's two beaches. It boasts golden sand that is cleaner and more picturesque than its popular counterpart, Hac Sa Beach. Nestled in a charming little bay surrounded by forest-clad hills near Coloane Village, it offers a serene atmosphere for visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll. Families frequent this beach due to its safe swimming area and rock pools for kids to explore.
My favourite place in Macau! 1000 stars, not only 5! If you are a tourist and wanna escape to this beach and you don’t have (or don’t want to use) any car, it is easy to walk there because there are nice hiking routes from the ‘ Centro Clinico de Saude Publica’ or trough Coloane on the beach, or by bus from anywhere. If you download the MPay app, you can buy ticket on the bus from Cotai for ~3$ (You can top up ur balance in many shops with cash: 7Eleven, Royal supermarket, CircleK, Sanmiu Supermarket, Tai Fung Supermarket, Lee Fong Supermarket, Sunsco Supermarket, Pacific Coffee Company, you need minimum 50$)

I stayed at Galaxy Integrated Resort for almost two weeks and... I still don’t think I saw everything. This place is just on a different level. It’s HUGE—probably the biggest resort in all of Macau—and it’s still expanding! Right now there are 7 luxury hotels inside the complex (I stayed at 5 of them 😭), and apparently 5 more are on the way?! Unreal. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I stepped into an entirely different world. There are over 120 restaurants scattered throughout—from casual bites to high-end fine dining (I ate at like 12 of them 😅), including both Michelin-starred restaurants inside the resort itself. The variety is insane and the quality is consistently top-tier. The casino floor? Absolutely massive. Whether you’re into gaming or not, the energy is electric and the scale is jaw-dropping. But what really blew me away was the Grand Resort Deck. It’s not just a water park—it’s the largest rooftop water park in the world, and it’s incredible. There’s a wave pool, lazy river, water slides, white sand beach (!!), cabanas—everything you could imagine. I legit spent entire afternoons there just floating and vibing. And somehow... I never got bored. Not even once. Every corner of the resort has something new to see or do. Whether you're lounging at Banyan Tree’s sky villa one day or checking out Roof Chinese Fine Dining, it just never stops. Truly one of the most unforgettable travel experiences I’ve ever had—Galaxy is not just a resort, it’s a full-blown universe. And trust me, you’ll want to get lost in it.

Amazing hotel which was reasonably priced for a 5* hotel. I paid £100 per night for a room facing the Wynn fountains, and it was money well spent. Shopping Malls
New Yaohan is a department store in Macau, China. It is popular for its high-quality merchandise and food court. Upper floors are more popular than the lower floors, with 8/F being busiest. The supermarket on 7/F has a variety of products.
A shopping mall on many levels, offering major world brands. The prices are not excessive, they are in fact the same as in other parts of Macao (including the shopping malls on the exclusive - and extravagant - Cotai Strip). I like the reproduction of old paintings that are on display between all floors. As one uses the escalator, one can enjoy the idyllic paintings of old masters. There's a very well-stocked supermarket on the top floor. Again, prices are reasonable and they offer European as well as Japanese products. At the checkout, one can also pay "by hand" (see the attached picture). This is an extraordinary machine that I've never seen before.
Bostjan K — Google review
Went to the food court on the upper floors during the weekend. Filled to the brim with people, and waited for a seat. Lots of variety in food from Thai, Korean, Macanese, Chinese, Japanese and dessert booths too. Price is more expensive than average, and don't expect to get what you see in the photos! The portion sizes are much smaller than what's displayed. I got the Japanese Tonkotsu ramen, and the broth was meh at best. Flavorless with dry pieces of Cha Shu pork that barely had any taste other than pork. Costed me 48 mop, which is below average for ramen but considering the portion size, the cost isn't cheap to eat here! Be prepared to get out as soon as you finish eating, as other people will actively wait next to your table for you to finish.

My Rating Of This Mall (8th Floor Canteen) Food: 8/10 Items: 9.5/10 Staff:9/10 OverAll: 9.4/10 Notes: When I Entered The Mall,It Was Actually Pretty Small. But There Were Loads Of Floors Packed With Shops. I Saw That The Elevator Goes Up To Floor 13! I Went Up To The 6th Floor First Where I Discovered 2 Shelves Of Airplane Models! This Mall Is Probably The Only Place Where You Could Get Model Airplanes In All Of Macau. I Couldn’t Find Them Anywhere Else! You Do Have To Look Near The Cashier To Find Them Though And They Are Only Herpa 1:500 And Herpa 1:200’s. But They Had A Nice Selection Of Model Planes. I Got The Qatar Amiri Flight Boeing BBJ747-8 Costing 333 Macanese Pataca. It Looks Great But The Box Is Really Beaten Up. They Also Have A 10% Discount On Christmas. They Also Had A Model Car Selection. The 8th Floor Contains The Food Court! The Food Was Nice But A Little On The Pricy Side. I Ordered Shrimp Dumplings. They Were Awesome! They Were 35 Pataca Or 34 Hong Kong Dollars. If Your An Avgeek Or A Car Enthusiast In Macau,I Really Recommend You To Go Here.

The upper floors (7-9/F) are much better and more popular than the lower floors, in terms of popularity or value-for-money ratio. The 8/F food court is the most crowded, especially during lunch time. There are a bunch of cuisines to choose from: Japanese (sushi, 炉端焼 etc.), Thai, Chinese, you name it. The supermarket is on 7/F where products' variety is vast.

The restaurant's new menu includes a must-try African chicken dish. Guests can enjoy indoor or outdoor dining on the al fresco patio with an open fireplace for cooler evenings. The halal-certified menu caters to various dietary preferences, offering Indian, Mediterranean, and more.
Far away from city centre, if looking for a quiet place relax and without noisy tourists, this is the place. Ordered deep fired bacalhau and this is delicious. This is really stuff with bacalhau meat unlike others just taste the potato with bacalhau smell. We also ordered a jar of Sangria which serves more than 8 glasses. Truly money for value.

Wanted to try their veggie burger but it didn’t have structure at all. The “patty” wasn’t pretty to eat. It was like having beetroot hummus in the middle instead. And the cheapest veg lettuce was used. I appreciated to see vegan mayo was used though and fries seems freshly made. Just expected more being in a 5 star rated. At the lounge, tried their passionfruit coffee and requested decaf. It was lovely with the relaxing greenery view. At the end, I wanted to ask if it was made with in-house made passionfruit syrup but the staff answered he doesn’t know and pointed at his Filipino colleagues and said that “my country people” made it so he wouldn’t know. Wasn’t sure what was that about but it was an odd ending experience. I’m a fan of being out and at the end of Grand Coloane but hope for staff and veg option improvements 🙏🏼

A cafe with a view of the sea. It is on the first floor of the Coloane Hotel. A good place to take pictures.

Food variety is not very good for dinner buffet when comparing with those in casinos. Food refill and table cleanup are slow as there are not too many staffs. It is better to visit those Portuguese restaurants nearby if you are staying there. One up side is the buffet session is much longer than those in casino.

Food sucks, service is meh, atmosphere is good. Overall terrible

Food were really great and with different varieties. My children were really happy and satisfied. The ambiance is really awesome for children to roam around as well as the service. They really do extra mile to cater our needs. Kudos to the whole team for a job well done.

During breakfast at Panorama Lounge, Gaven stood out with his genuine smile and warm energy. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel truly welcomed, his kindness was effortless and sincere. While another staff member served our table, it was Gaven’s gracious presence that left a lasting impression. Even in a busy setting, he radiated positivity. Thank you, Gaven, for making hospitality feel personal and heartfelt.

Nature & Parks
Hác Sá Reservoir Barbecue Park is a serene country park with a reservoir offering various outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy hiking around the reservoir, try water activities like canoeing and paddle boating, explore a plant labyrinth, or even camp in the midst of nature. Families can have a fun-filled day with BBQ facilities, playgrounds for kids, and paddleboat rentals at Jacaranda Kiosk.
You will never regret giving a short glimps (about 1 hour) of this place, walking on the bridges and overlooking the clean reservoir surrounded by beautiful rocks.

Great spot for a chill BBQ with friends. Clean facilities, lots of tables, and the nature around is beautiful. Gets busy on weekends, so come early to grab a good spot!

This is a small country and reservoir park in the south of Coloane near Hac Sa Beach. There is a short hiking trail around the reservoir through forested landscape. You'll also find links to the more comprehensive Coloane Trail if you want to make a longer hike from here. The park includes BBQ area and paddle boat rentals (MOP40 for 30 minutes) if you want to enjoy time on the water. There is a bus stop just to the south of the country park. Route 15 (MOP6 per person) stops here both ways.

Lodging
Sands Macao is a luxurious hotel and casino complex that opened in 2007. It features high-end lodging, a variety of restaurants, entertaining shows, an outdoor pool, shops for indulgent retail therapy, and a relaxing spa. The hotel boasts 289 well-appointed rooms with modern amenities such as plasma-screen TVs, iPod docks, WiFi access, walk-in wardrobes, clothes press, roomy safes and microwaves.
Best Experience! My stay at this hotel was pretty solid overall. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and everything I needed for a good stay. (The amenities, like the gym were nice and well-maintained, adding to the experience. Breakfast had a decent selection. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything fresh, and overall, the hotel delivered a solid experience. A few small tweaks could make it even better, but I’d definitely consider staying here again.

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional experience I recently had at your hotel. The service provided was truly remarkable, particularly by Mr. Gaspar Wong and his colleagues at the front desk, who were extremely friendly and attentive to every detail of my needs. I encountered some challenges with my card, and I was deeply impressed by the staff's patience and swift assistance in resolving the issue. Their professionalism and warm demeanor turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and worry-free process. I would like to extend special thanks to Mr. Gaspar Wong for his outstanding support. Not only did he create a welcoming atmosphere from the very beginning, but he also went above and beyond by personally ensuring my luggage was taken to my room and thoughtfully arranged. The exceptional hospitality and dedication to guest satisfaction assuredly set your hotel apart. It is with great eagerness that I anticipate my next visit to Macau, as I am eager to experience this unparalleled service again.

Front office officer Frank very friendly and helpful. Excellent service for all staff in this hotel. Before you approach them, they will very willing to assist. Nice and cosy room with nice view. . Very comfy bed. Comes with a small living hall with a small dinning table. Interior deco very classy. It would be perfect if there is more food and beverage outlet.

A Golden Experience at Sands Macao From the moment I stepped into the grandeur of Sands Macao, I was enveloped in a world of luxury. The reflective gold glass exterior is just a prelude to the opulence within. With 289 luxurious suites, this hotel is a haven for those seeking a blend of comfort and style. The outdoor pool glistened like a jewel under the Macau sun, offering a refreshing escape, while the spa center promised indulgence for the senses. Dining at the hotel was a culinary journey, with restaurants like Copa Steakhouse and Golden Court serving up delectable dishes that tantalized my taste buds. As night fell, the casino came alive with vibrant energy, and the entertainment staff ensured that every moment was filled with excitement. The conference facilities were impeccable, setting the stage for successful events. In the sanctuary of my suite, every detail was meticulously crafted for comfort – from the air conditioning that whispered a cool breeze to the minibar stocked with premium refreshments. The flatscreen TV was my window to entertainment, and the room service was prompt and courteous, making me feel like royalty. The staff at Sands Macao deserve a special mention for their professionalism and warmth. They were the heartbeat of the hotel, always ready to assist with a smile. Their dedication to service excellence made my stay not just a visit, but an experience to cherish. Sands Macao is not just a hotel; it’s a destination that captures the essence of Macau’s charm and splendor. A stay here is more than a getaway; it’s a memory etched in gold. In my opinion, Kwun Hoi Heen offers a pleasant atmosphere and delectable cuisine. The serene setting adds to the overall dining experience. The prices are reasonable for a restaurant located in a hotel. Guanhaixuan, situated within Luhuan Hotel, boasts stunning views that enhance the enjoyment of tea drinking. The chef at Kwun Hoi Heen is particularly skilled in making dumplings, which I highly recommend trying as they are truly delicious.
We had dim sum and a plate of stir fried beef noodle for lunch. The dim sum was excellent and delicious. The waitress was also very attentive and friendly. This was our second visit, the first being in 2018 and the quality of the food and service is as good as before. We would love to go back again to dine there on our next visit.

The food here is good. It also has varieties of food and during holidays gives you different menus like the specials for today was the champagne with any flavoured juice and fruits to garnish your drink and the drink was yum. I love their spread of food, it has Indian, American, East Asians.

When a Chinese restaurant can cook a fried rice that is perfect in the Cantonese way you know the chef knows his/her craft. It's elevated cantonese food that's not pretentious, just delicious.

The Cotai Strip, located on Taipa island in Macau, is a vibrant stretch of hotel casinos that rivals the iconic Vegas Strip. Connected to the Macau Peninsula by long bridges, it's home to impressive architectural wonders like the MGM Grand, Galaxy resorts, Venetian Macao, and Parisian Macao. The futuristic Morpheus by Zaha Hadid Architects and Studio City add to its allure.
The Cotai Strip comes alive in the evening, transforming into a vibrant spectacle of lights and energy. As we strolled along the boulevard, the dazzling displays from the luxurious resorts and casinos created a mesmerizing atmosphere. Each property has its own unique charm, with stunning architecture and elaborate designs that make for great photo opportunities. The variety of dining and entertainment options is impressive, offering everything from high-end restaurants to lively bars. Street performers and musicians add to the festive vibe, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. Overall, the Cotai Strip in the evening is a must-visit for anyone in Macau. It’s a fantastic blend of glamour and excitement that captures the essence of this dynamic destination. While you're in Macau, I recommend setting aside an evening to explore!

Glittery bustling place. Great for those wanting to take glamorous pics without going Europe. However there are simply too many smokers around. U have to endure taking in the smelly poisonous second hand smoke to take pics. Going once is enough for the experience.

The term "Cotai Strip" was coined by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, referring to their development of a series of hotel-casinos in this region. The first casino to commence operations in Cotai was the Grand Waldo Hotel in May 2006. The largest property on the strip, The Venetian Macao, opened its doors on August 28, 2007. Expect a vibrant atmosphere with a plethora of entertainment options, from world-class shows to high-end shopping and diverse dining experiences. The area is designed to cater to tourists seeking luxury and entertainment in a concentrated locale.
