When in Macau, a culinary adventure is a must, and Lord Stow's Bakery in Coloane is an essential stop. This renowned bakery is the birthplace of the famous Portuguese Egg Tart in Macau. Although there are multiple locations across Macau and even beyond, the original outlet remains a popular choice for visitors. The English baker Andrew Stow's legacy lives on through these delectable pastries that continue to attract visitors from near and far.
One of the best egg tarts we had so far! Ordered 6 so that it’s boxed up and a free paper bag is given, and only manage to eat it at night for supper after buying it during lunch. To my surprise, it’s still a very good snack even when it’s cold - which was surprising as I haven’t a cold but nice one before, even when in Portugal! The flavours really did stand out, and while the crust wasn’t as crispy as intended at the point of consumption, it was still a good snack to be had 👍🏻 Definitely recommended to come by for your egg tarts treat! 💯
YY — Google review
Literally came by here just for their famous egg tart and they didn’t not disappoint. This is a popular store in Macau and there was quite a queue. We managed to get our tarts freshly off the oven so it was nice, hot and creamy. Definitely worth the hype
Meg A — Google review
One of the best egg tarts I’ve ever had — creamy, milky, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. I tried the classic egg tart, and it was so good that I went back the same day for seconds… only to find it sold out! I actually came back the next day just to get it again, and it was totally worth it. The flavor, texture, and richness absolutely live up to the hype. Easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted — highly recommend!
Evie H — Google review
Busy hot summer does not deter anyone from these scrumptious Portuguese tarts. The fresh smell of butter and the comforting sweet soft egg custard makes you temporally forget the summer heat. A must try when you’re in Macau!
Jonathan C — Google review
The best Egg tart for me. Very crispy but not too sweet. Well managed queue by staff.
Siras — Google review
One of the best and well known pastries shop serves delicious Portuguese egg tart. Good price but watch out for the long queue
Louis L — Google review
Delicious egg tart! A Macao must try. Would definitely recommend a visit!
DJ G — Google review
There’s usually a lineup but it goes quick. I can see why people say this is the best Portuguese egg tart in Macau. The pastry is flaky and the custard is super creamy. Every visitor to Macau needs to try one!

Restaurant
When visiting Macau, a must-try culinary experience is the famous pork buns, and Tai Lei Loi Kei is one of the most renowned spots to savor these delectable treats. Established in the '90s and located in Taipa Village, this eatery offers thick-cut pork chops marinated and fried to perfection, then sandwiched between toasted Portuguese buns. The juxtaposition of traditional village charm against modern complexes like Galaxy adds to Macau's allure.
The score does not do this legendary food justice! After touring 7 days eating pork buns around Macau, I can safely say this is the best still! Eat that squid, that pork buns and milk tea! Enjoy that Macau traditional ambience
Pixiuman H — Google review
If you’re a fan of pork chop, this spot is a must-visit! Their pork chop bun and pork chop soup noodles are delicious. The pork is cooked to perfection and tender, with each bite melting in your mouth. The noodles are springy, with just the right texture and a perfect level of oneness. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the toasted pork chop bun bcos it is only available after 1pm. The service was impressively quick, making it a great choice if you’re on a tight schedule. Prices are very reasonable too, especially considering the size of the pork chop. However, the milk tea was just average.
Shereen — Google review
I think they should have informed it at the menu that the porkchop bun available only after certain times (mine was at lunch time and i got there for breakfast). the service is not really that friendly. As someone who have been told that the service near Macao and HK are going to be less than ideal, it didn't throw me off balance when i received a not so nice service. foodwise? I'm sorry but the porkchop was really dry, it has a very very mild taste (it's just like a slice of deep fried pork with no seasoning).
Yuwanda K — Google review
The waiters here are quite rude. When I asked if there was a meal set that included a drink, they responded impatiently and looked down on us. The pork chop bun was also disappointing. The pork chop was thin and heavily softened with baking powder. I highly recommend trying Sei Kee Cafe nearby instead. It’s a bit cheaper and serves much better pork chop.
Josh C — Google review
The main shop along the way from the main street isn't open and this is one which is surrounding the square along with other popular eateries. Had sandwich rather than bun cos I was still stuffed from the morning polo bao, pastel de nata and snacks sampling in between. Even so, I could only eat one slice of the bread. The pork chop was fabulous though, tender meat, grilled just right without it being too overcooked or tough. Meat is very well-seasoned, flavourful and yet I don't feel thirsty after.
Jennifer ( — Google review
Wow very delicious! First time trying this famous sandwich and I'll definitely be back to this location. All the food looks very good. Service is fantastic!
JB — Google review
Honestly it’s over rated. The pork chop is tasty but a bit too salty and overpowered for the flavour. Had other better pork chop butter in Macau
Chooyih — Google review
It was ok. Flavourful but not as good as seikee in my opinion. The air conditioning provides great relief from the heat though.

Portuguese restaurant
Restaurante Litoral is a must-visit in Macau, especially if you're near A-Ma Temple during lunchtime. This restaurant offers an authentic Macanese dining experience with its warm and inviting decor and standout cuisine. Known for serving the best old Macanese dishes, such as African Chicken and curried shrimp with crab meat, it's a popular choice for both lunch and dinner.
Really festive this time of the year at Restaurante Litoral in Macau. Wonderful food and because we had a big party we tried a whole host of good dishes. The suckling pig was certainly a highlight and we ordered a second plate. The host gave us a room and it was festive all around with sangria as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for macau Portuguese food.
Helen J — Google review
don't worry about how fancy and expensive it looks on the outside. inside you'll get delicious macanese and portuguese signature dishes for a decent price. staff was very kind and friendly. would definitely recommend for a last day in macau dinner.
Lisa — Google review
Just walk in by chance and unexpectedly all foods taste good except dessert - Serradura. The traditional serradura with multiple layers of cream and biscults. But it made without any layers and just biscults on top. It’s a very unscrupulous style. The rest of foods / drinks are good as said
MayMay W — Google review
The food tasted so amazing we went to eat there twice! The crab curry shrimp is to die for. Litoral spaghetti was also nice. You can request for additional chili to add zing to your food if you like your meal to be spicier. The desserts were nice too. Will go back here again when we visit Macau. The staff were superb! They even remembered us visiting there before and greeted us very warmly.
Marga P — Google review
The service is good but the food isn’t . With the amount of oil in the African jack dish , you can surely block your arteries .
Avni M — Google review
Very nice place to eat and enjoy traditional Macau / Portuguese cuisine. we walked from the Sofitel hotel and there was a line up so it felt like it was going to be a good meal. the food was delicious, and the sangria was very good. The pitcher was well worth it. we ordered a salad and soup plus some crispy pork, which was super fresh. If you're looking for a traditional Portuguese style dinner, then this is the place to go.
Michael L — Google review
Wonderful is all we can say. Service is very good with attentive and friendly associates. Thank you for your recommends! We liked the suckling pig litoral style as it was both crispy and succulent at the right places. While it took a while for the African chicken to bake, it was worth the wait. Tender and juicy, we even finished all the potatoes. They say walk ins are welcome as this location can sit 300, but book ahead as it got full at lunch on a friday.
Mel M — Google review
You may think that prices are expensive but the dishes are big. Dont be fooled by the $38 water bottle. Just ask for tap water if you want instead. The free buns were not warm. It was tasty though. The cream clams were extremely tasty. I think they over stirred it or something because theres a lot of loose shell bits. You'd bit into clam meat thinking it was sand but instead the piece was outside of the clam so it came from the shell breaking while cooking. There were many instances of that unfortunately. The sauce had so much flavor and I would have pour it on everything if it weren't for the shell pieces. The beef tongue was superb. The tongue was so tender. The sauce didnt have much flavor though. The fruit salad was just so underwhelming. It was just the same type as in cha chaan tengs. I also got some portuguese vegetarian soup and it was good.

Ice cream shop
Gelatina Mok Yi Kei, established in 1954 in Taipa village, is a local gem known for its legendary Macanese dessert, Serradura. This traditional Portuguese sawdust pudding cake showcases the colonial influence on Macau's cuisine. While the place is famous for its durian ice cream, it's the serradura that steals the show.
Durian ice cream here is a solid 10/10, feels like you’re eating a real durian! The price is a little high (since it’s Mao Shan Wang) but it’s worth it. It’s located in the centre of Taipa food street so you won’t miss it.
Littlebitofnoms — Google review
The Cat Mountain King Durian Ice Cream (MOP $70) was expensive and tasted just okay. It was already warm by the time it was given, so it was not as refreshing as I had hoped. The durian flavor was there, but the ice cream as a whole was a bit too sweet.
_ — Google review
Good enough Musang King Durian icecream. I like durian but the ice cream somehow not as good as real durian. I know that musang king is so expensive, but if you don't use enough of that, it will just be like ordinary durian flavour. It's good if you are not sure whether you like durian or not (first timer). Because it's not as strong as the real fruit. Just to be able to appreciate the smell. Also ordered the serradura icecream on the 2nd visit, it's NOT the serradura cake. Also good.
Yuwanda K — Google review
📍🌸 A very yummy treat, durian ice-cream delight, 🍦🌟 Tastes like frozen durians, a true flavor's height. 🥭🍨 A must-try dessert, for durian lovers true, 🌟👅 If you crave the fruit, this ice cream's for you. 🍧🌟 AJ suggests a thought, a sweet idea to embrace, 💡❤️ Offer ice creams in cones, for a delightful chase. 🍦🌟 📍🌸
Anne-Jolie — Google review
Reviews and recommendations from social media platforms took me to this place. However the ice cream was not up to expectation. Price was a bit expensive and definitely did not meet the price. If you are looking to try durian ice cream, then I would recommend coming here to try.

Gelatina Mok Yi Kei (莫義記) is a famous food stop that has been in operation for over 80 years at the south end of Rua do Cunha in Taipa Village. Opening hours are approx. 10am to 9pm daily. This is a Michelin recognised street food venue which specialises in fruit based snacks and dessert foods, including Durian flavoured ice-cream for with Mok Yi Kei achieves its present fame. Here you can try cups of D24 (MOP30 per cup) or rarer Mustang (MOP68 per cup) durian ice-cream. This is good stuff if you like durian and durian flavoured foods. What is served is slightly crystallised and has a texture more like sorbet than traditional ice-cream. The flavour is strong and tastes pretty good, making this a fun dessert food to try if you like durian and are hitting up the food and dining spots around Taipa. I've also tried the coconut ice-cream as well. This was creamy in texture, quite sweet with a strong coconut milk flavour. They have a number of other fruit flavours as well. Note: Mok Yi Kei location is easy to find. Just look for the Red sign at the corner shop on Rua Do Cunha. The owner, Mrs Mok, is usually seen serving and heard promoting her products to the constant throng of tourists walking up and down Rua do Cunha.
Brad — Google review
Having had our dinner nearby on Feb17, 2019, my wife got her dessert here. It was a durian ice cream costing MOP33. I tasted it too and found the flavor very rich!
Peter C — Google review
Almost all shops and restaurants on this street is target tourists. The price of this local made ice cream is higher than the international well known brand. Although it is next to the rest area, it is very difficult to get anywhere sit down and eat.

Fernando's Restaurant is a popular Portuguese and European-influenced eatery known for its seafood and vegetarian options. The alfresco bar in the back garden offers a relaxed atmosphere where guests can savor Portuguese Super Bock beer and chorizo. Run by a family, Riquexo is an authentic Macanese restaurant that shares traditional recipes, including specialties like minchi.
Everyone told me to come to this spot and it didn’t disappoint. The tomato salad was awesome … such fresh and juicy tomatoes. The shrimp and the muscles were very very good, seasoned and cooked perfectly, but nothing could top the chicken and fries. WOW!!!! It was a flavor explosion. 💯% recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!

We had the best meal in Macau! Everything was delicious and seasoned perfectly. My favourite was actually the Portuguese Codfish Cake! The owner and also the servers made us feel at home. They were super attentive and kind. We will definitely come back again! Thank you.
Resiana R — Google review
Kids friendly. The complementary, shrimps and chicken are our top favourite. They do not serve water or tea, please bring your own water and purchase drinks at Fernando’s. Easy access by public bus from hotels. You do have to reverse the seafood rice one day ahead - suitable for 8-10 people.
Betty S — Google review
Very nice Portuguese cuisine and the atmosphere is so nice in the garden. To avoid the crowds, we went there around 2-3 pm and the room is quite hot. Hope to get more air conditioning to enjoy the food. Overall the taste is superb and the staff even called the taxi for us. 👍🏻
Aye C — Google review
Hidden dining spot where locals go to. We are impressed with the food standards and the environment. The bread is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. Goes well with olive oil. Fried potato cod fish is excellent. Roasted pork is crispy. Even the salad is nice.

Fantastic fun place to spend a long lunch or evening away from the concrete and casinos. Portuguese-style good and drinks. Large, noisy and energetic indoor eating with pleasant outdoor bar and gardens. Get there early to grab your table for lunch as no booking allowed. Doors open at 12.

For me: the roast chicken, shrimp and ribs. Very unique and tasty The seafood rice need to be preordered ahead of time.

Excellent time to table from ordering, typical Asian service one meal at a time when it’s ready. Amused me, no ketchup or mayo for the chips (the server laughed it off as much as I did) Low sore on the atmosphere only as the place was empty but I’m sure higher when busy.

Pastry shop
Located near the Historic City Centre in Macau, Margaret's Café e Nata is a popular spot known for its Portuguese-style custard tarts. Founded by Margaret, who was previously married to the founder of Lord Stows Bakery, this establishment has become one of the top destinations for egg tarts in Macau. Despite its small alley location, it attracts long queues throughout the day.
I went around 10 a.m. and was able to buy right away. I ordered an egg tart and milk tea. The egg tart was just 1 MOP, and I paid in Hong Kong dollars. The crust was crispy and the sweetness was perfectly balanced. When I passed by at noon, there was already a long line.
TooGood — Google review
Visited Margaret's Café e Nata to try their Portuguese egg tart. It was nice that they were served freshly baked. However, I personally found the pastry wasn't quite as crispy or flaky as I prefer, and the filling leaned a bit too sweet and creamy for my taste. Overall, an alright experience, but it didn't particularly stand out.
Arthur K — Google review
So famous egg tart shop in Macau. I visit here around 2PM, many people wait their turn. But the waiting was not so long. Egg tart was really good. Something different with HK style egg tart.
Micky K — Google review
Margaret's Cafe e Nata - This ranks #2 of all the 4 brands I tasted (Lord Stow, Manteigaria, Koi Kei). Flaky and buttery pastry, fresh and very delectable. Less sweet compared to Manteigaria and more to my palate. Egg custard is done just right too (perhaps I went right before they open). Although caramelisation of the egg custard does not look much, it has a fragrant burnt taste. Custard is slightly runnier compared to Lord Stow's. Apparently Margaret was Lord Stow's wife and after splitting she opened her own bakery.
Jennifer ( — Google review
Milk tea and egg tart were ok but clearly not the best in town. Price seems reasonable although I'm not yet familiar enough with Macau to judge. Staff looks dead inside, no offense (and it was only around 10:30am, can't imagine later in the day).
Grasset V — Google review
Small shop and the table & seats outside are not well maintained. Nothing much after tasted the egg tart tasted & drinks. Suggest to share the food if you come in group.

António Macau is a charming Portuguese restaurant located in Taipa Village, run by the charismatic chef/owner Antonio Coelho.
super good food!!! we ordered the suckling pig, octopus rice and honeydew melon soup. surprisingly my most favourite dish was definitely the honeydew melon soup!!! it was so cold and refreshing that i wanted to order another one!! the only downside about this restaurant was that it was slightly on the pricier side.
SF S — Google review
The Portuguese food here is very good at a reasonable price. We had the set meal for two people with the crab meat, lobster rice, and chocolate moose. The staff are friendly and can speak English well.
KrisMcCool Y — Google review
although the restaurant come on the more expensive side, it delivers a high quality cooking with great taste. tried Caldo Verde (soup), cod fishcakes (appetizer), and African Chicken (Main). the Caldo Verde was nice, I can't really compare it to any other as this is my first ever caldo verde. but i liked it. while the cod fishcakes does not taste special at all. I don't really sure whether it's fresh cod or bacalhau (salted cod) that they use for the fishcakes. While the african chicken is definitely good. tried on another place and it was not as good as Antonio's.
Yuwanda K — Google review
Lobster soup and octopus stem rice are so nice. Finished all of them. But the crispy pork thing is a bit too oily, only order when you have a group of ppl.
Paisley L — Google review
Absolutely delicious. The duck rice was very crisp, very delicious. The Portugese tart and dessert were very well made, I could taste the egg flavor in the tarts. Overall, 5 stars for food. The sausage which was roasted in front of us was very yummy and savoury The service was great, the waiters were very polite and helpful. They assisted us many times. The staff work very hard to assist the customers. You will have a great time here. Finally regarding the atmosphere, I found the music choices very apt, and I also enjoyed the sausage roasting "show" which was done in front of us. Masterfully done. I found myself amazed time and time again by the skills the waiters had. It is also a mix of fine and casual dining, as it has specific knives and forks for appetizers and main courses In conclusion I believe that this restaurant is one of the best Portugese cultural restaurants in Macau. Definitely come here - The kid who you remembered

An excellent experience, we ordered the bacalhau and suckling pig, it was light and crispy and delicate in flavour where you can appreciate the ingredients, we happily followed up with an order of the octopus paella which was also delicious. Special shoutout to the maitre d who is kind and honest with our order portions, advising what might be too much for our party of 2 or not. Thank you!

Amazing food and people. We tried the arroz de pato and bacalhau a bras and it was like in Portugal. As a portuguese everything felt like home even the side salad was exactly the same. If you are in Macau you should 100% try it.

📍🌸 An old biscuit shop, in the food street's heart, 🏪🌟 Renowned for its inventions, a culinary art. 🍪🌟 肉切酥, the cut meat biscuit, a savory delight, 🥩🍪 Little chick biscuit, adorable and just right. 🐥🍪 A long queue forms, patience put to the test, ⏳🌟 Staff relaxed, taking orders with a leisurely zest. 😌📝 AJ suggests a thought, a small change to make, 💡❤️ Offer trial tastes, like other shops partake. 🍽️🌟 📍🌸

Bought some almond cookies and some other traditional Macanese cookie. Decent but not as good as 最香.

They sell expired Food. We visited on 19/2/2024 and the label was “best before 3 feb 2024”. They intentionally hide it because its was pre-packed with a bag outside. Avoid this shop as you can and if really have to make a purchase, takeout and check the expiry date of each item from their pre-bagged packaging at the counter.

Pastelaria Fong Kei is one of the famous place located along Rua do Cunha that is recognised by the Michelin Guide as a street food worth seeking out in Macau. This small shop in Taipa has been serving up signature almond cookies, wife cakes and other Macanese style snacks here since 1906. Opening hours around 10am until around 9pm(ish) daily. Unlike other local pastelaria in Macau, Fong Kei hasn't expanded throughout Macau. This is a single shop business where snack foods are made and sold daily. No sampling like what you find at the more commercial local bakeries but what is sold here is very good. I like the almond cookies at Pastelaria Fong Kei. You can buy a package of 8-9 regular sized cookies or a small plastic tube of mini-cookies (MOP34) which are good for nibbling on while you walk the streets of Taipa. The cookies here are slightly sweeter than what you find at other local bakeries like Koi Kei. Wife biscuits are very popular here as well. Note: If you arrive first thing in the morning, you can walk right into the shop and make purchase. Otherwise, expect a queue of 8-10 people for the rest of the day. The line moves at a fair pace so you won't have to wait long but do expect to be a bit patient walking into the shop if you arrive midday. In the end, this is a fun food stop to make if you want to sample traditional Macanese speciality snacks at a long standing local favourite.
Brad — Google review
Michelin awarded traditional sweet snacks. Hadn’t tried the almond cookies yet but the long queuing in the rain was kinda ridiculous . I reckon they can improve their sales and cashier service to prevent that.

Located on one of the bustling streets since 1918, A Vencedora (The Winner) has become a renowned establishment in Macau. It is widely featured in travel guides, international magazines, newspapers, and online platforms as one of the city's most traditional and finest dining spots. The restaurant consistently draws a large crowd, indicating its exceptional quality. In Macau, there is a distinct cha chaan teng culture with a Portuguese influence.
When searching up for Macanese foods, this shop was one that made to the list, and as one of the oldest ones serving out there, I can see why. Cutting to the chase, the Minchee was good, rice was a bit dry, but the other components tasted good. The curry beef brisket tasted decent. Their bacalhau fritters with pickled cucumbers as sides were good, greatly seasoned and fried. Humble foods, for the usual Macau prices. Seats might be hard to come by during dinner time. Vibe is akin to a Chinese kopitiam.

First experience of Macanese food. The fried mackerel balls were fluffy and has a good fish taste as the fish is mixed well into the mashed potato. The oxtail stew reminds us of similar soup in Hong Kong that's also tomato soup based. The oxtail is tender and falls off the bone. The minced fried rice has bits of potato that's deep fried and provided a good variety of texture.

## Restaurant Review: A Timeless Dining Experience This restaurant, with 107 years of history, is a true gem for locals and tourists. The warm, inviting atmosphere feels like home, and the exceptionally friendly staff enhance the experience. An elegant woman, likely the owner, makes every guest feel special with her hospitality, embodying the essence of a family-run establishment. The menu features various dishes, with the roast pigeon standing out as a highlight—cooked to perfection and delicious. Whether you’re a habitual diner or a newcomer, you’ll feel like part of the family here. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

A Vencedora is a charming local restaurant with over a century of history, serving authentic Portuguese and Macanese dishes since the early 1900s. The atmosphere feels timeless, and the food truly captures the soul of Macau’s culinary heritage. The minchi is absolutely amazing, full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and definitely a must-try dish. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and homemade, and the service was warm and welcoming. Overall, I loved the place. A genuine local gem and a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience real Macanese flavors.

Amazing food for great prices - very reasonable, convenient and speedy experience, without it being fast food. Home cooked warm meals were served in large portions - this place really did not disappoint! Highly recommend the minced beef potato fried rice and iced lemon tea.

It’s a cute Portuguese restaurant with Portuguese food. As a Portuguese myself, the food was tasty and remind me home which is what I was looking for. They have the best beer (Super Bock) to compliment the meal. Overall good value for the food.

Great food and even better staff. I knew no mandarin or Cantonese, and used google translate to speak with them and they were very warm. They even called a taxi to drop me back to the hotel and the owner stood outside the restaurant waiting with me until the cab arrived. Will remember the gesture and the smiles.

Quaint and laid back restaurant in the heart of Taipa's busy food street. The cozy, intimate ambiance makes you feel at ease and welcomed. The food was outstanding. The caldo Verde was savoury and warming. The duck rice is rich, flavorful, and absolutely comforting. The African chicken is a flavor bomb, every bite bursting with spices, herbs and bold flavors. If you're ever in Macao and craving some heart warming grub I would definitely recommend this place.

Without saying, the food was delicious. More than that, the staff went out of their way to give us superior service. My mom is in a wheelchair, and they made all accommodations for us, making our dinner there very enjoyable. The rice dish (I forgot the name, but it is the one with the shrimps on top) is a must-have.

Worst experience in Macau! Carb dip: 1/2 crab meat + 1/2 thousand island sauce. We can’t even tell if it’s crab meat because there was too much sauce. Btw, it costs $298. Ridiculous. Deep fried smashed potato: it was ok but too greasy. Obviously they didn’t know how to control the cooking temperature. Duck rice: the duck meat was dried out. Not juicy or tender at all. Plus the coppery smell of the meat. Plus the greasy rice. Ewwww… Stir fried veggies: the only dish that we finished… My husband was a bit angry because of the quality didn’t match the price at all. He asked the waitress if they’ve changed the recipe or chef because everything was terribly cooked. The waitress said ok I’ll ask. That’s the end of their whole service. No one came again for a long time, until we asked for the bill. Also we are the only customers they have before we left (during dinner hours! That’s a red flag we should have noticed). I’m still angry when I’m writing down this review. DON’T GO THERE. Save it for better places.

I was keen to try to local Macanese dish of minchi and it did not disappoint. Large portion could definitely serve two people sharing. Fresh orange juice was delicious too!

Came here for dinner. The food was nice and staff were helpful. Red wine sangria - relatively standard, it was decent and the fruits were refreshing Duck rice - when this dish was served, we originally thought it looked like it would taste bland, but it turned out to be very flavourful and delicious Piri piri chicken - a little spicy but it was good Stir fried veggies - tasted good

Service: I have to say the staffs here are great. They are friendly, patience and helpful. Food: All dishes look great which woke my appetite up. I would say the taste wasn't bad but nothing much to leave me a strong impression. Just we found the Cesar salad was a bit wired as the dressing is a bit spicy, taste like mustards.

Vic’s Restaurante, located at Rocks Hotel, is a hidden gem offering the best Duck Rice in town. Chef Martinho Moniz's creation is a delightful mix of tender duck and oven-baked rice with a slightly crispy texture, topped off with slices of smoked sausage. The restaurant boasts a panoramic waterfront view and offers both alfresco and indoor dining spaces adorned with traditional Portuguese features.
It’s at the far end of the fisherman’s wharf. It’s the only restaurant still open there. Others were closed down … like closed forever … The dishes I ordered were all the recommendations from the waitress there. Not disappointed at all. The mussels were fresh and big. The codfish cakes were crispy and tasty. The sauce was excellent!!!! Suckling pig was my five-year-old daughter’s favorite … she ate up most of it … the waitresses were friendly and polite. The music made the restaurant more Portuguese ~ thanks for serving us!

My must visit Portugese restaurant in Macau was 1601 Albergue, until I discovered Vic’s, it elevated my favourite dishes to higher level! Place tucks away inside Fisherman wharf Rocks hotel, restaurant takes you back in time & romantic. Friendly server Gellie warmly greeted us to a nice table overlooking the entire place. Surprisingly the star chef came to greet us, walked us through the history of the place…. then a tour of the kitchen, you don’t get this treatment easily🥰 Chef then suggested a fine bottle of Portugese white served in exquisite Ridal glasses❤️ Started with Iberical ham, magical Bacalhau cake “ best I’ve ever tasted”, renowned crabmeat toast, suckling pig, lobster rice… each dish was meticulously prepared, exceeded my previous benchmark of good Portuguese cuisine palate, of course wine was perfectly paired🥂🥂 It’s fine Portugese dining 🥂🥂 ps romantic🥰

It can be quite challenging to walk from the entrance of Fisherman’s Wharf to the far end where the restaurant is located, especially under the glaring sun. Jamel was the first to notice that we had entered through the wrong entrance and consequently had to step down several steps. He immediately set the drinks and glasses on a nearby table and came to assist us — a true Samaritan, if not the finest waiter one could hope for. The restaurant itself is spacious with a pleasant, relaxing ambience. Keshab and Gellie are professional and passionate in their service, while the chef is sociable and clearly a man of perfection — something evident in the impeccable cleanliness of the kitchen. The food is outstanding: the suckling pig is the most delicious I’ve had in Macau, the duck rice excellent, and the Springlá Red wine wonderfully balanced. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience filled with sincerity, warmth, and exceptional cuisine — truly worth a visit.

Excellent food and exceptional staff. Chef came out to say hi and their staff made good recommendations for our group of 6 to share. Each dish was unique and flavorful? Most ingredients were made from scratched. Appreciate the staff tentative response and thinking ahead. They even prepared our left over take out elegantly and reheated the dish for one of our members staying in nearby hotel. Highly recommended this restaurant if you are looking for authentic experience. The interior was beautiful and tastefully decorated. 40 months aged pork with melon was quite tasty. The fresh bread was so excellent. It went well with every dishes and great for dipping into the sauces.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vics Restaurant, located at Macau Fisherman's Wharf, and I can confidently say it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting Portuguese atmosphere made us feel right at home. The decor strikes a perfect balance between cozy and chic, with wooden accents and soft lighting that set the mood for a delightful evening. Now, let’s talk about the food! The menu is a fantastic blend of classic Portuguese dishes and innovative culinary creations. I started with the clams in tomato soup, which was a vibrant mix of flavors and textures. For the main course, I opted for the seafood rice and the suckling pig, and it was cooked to perfection. The sangria was so amazing! The service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, offering great recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in providing a top-notch dining experience. Overall, Vic’s exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering or a fun night out with friends, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu! Highly recommend!

My sister found this beautiful place while we walked around the fisherman wharf. You can choose indoor or outdoor seating. This is a good restaurant for family or friends, bring more people so you can try as many food as you want. The soup tasted good, sandwich tasted nice, the sliced pork tasted great, veggie lasagna was okay (I love its tomato sauce), the rice pudding dessert tasted so good. For price, yes it is expensive, and since it's located inside a hotel building with amazing interior, it's worth the price.

Serradura is a dessert shop in Macau that specializes in Sawdust Pudding. The pudding is highly praised for its unique and delicious flavors, and the shop has gained a reputation for being one of the best places to enjoy this particular type of dessert. While it may not be as great as some people expect, the pudding is still reasonably good overall.
Love this place a lot! I think the original owner is staying at this place mostly:)
Kurt — Google review
There is a small shop on the main street in Taipa called Serrdura, which sells small cups of serradura (sawdust pudding), a traditional Portuguese dessert that you can find throughout Macau. Here you can find a handful of flavours including the original serradura (MOP20-25). Serving size is very much one cup for one person, it is only a few bites. In truth, we are not big fans of this little shop, finding their serving sizes too small and the quality of the serradua not that great. The texture is too light, not enough biscuit topping and the taste of the pudding can be bland (rating 2 of 5). You can do much better if you wait until you are at a traditional Portuguese restaurant if you want to try serradura. Otherwise, if you just want to give them a try, it is ok, it is not expensive.

very impressed by the wide variety of food available and the impeccable service. my faves were the thai pork, sambal chicken, osmanthus jelly, and salmon sashimi. they also have allergen info which is nice. the only funny downside is that 1 night we arrived 17mins before closing (google closing time said 10pm (confirmed 2wks ago lol) but they actually close at 930pm) and we asked the server if this was ok -- they said yes, but we thought to ourselves theres no way we can rush a buffet in 17mins and it's funny that they have the gall to smile and say yes you can totally enjoy our buffet with that little time... also lowkey funny that they come with the payment machine while youre halfway through your food... but i did like how they always went out of their way to try and help you carry food and refreshed our drinks constantly. i recommend coming in earlier as there was no time limit. overall, worthwhile buffet to try. cost is worth it if you eat a lot of seafood (their lobster was a bit bland but oysters were reasonably fresh) or want to try a lot of foods.

The lunch buffet started at 12:30pm and usually ends at 2:30pm. We didn’t get there till 1:45 and the front of house was very assuring that there is still food being served and replenished. No fault of the team at Urban kitchen but we had to rush to get food for what we thought we had of 45 mins. The front of house ‘Anita’ approached me while I was doing my rounds of food hunting to be told they are extending the buffet for us. How lovely! A gentleman called Francis came to the table and introduced which section was what for better navigation. The selection isn’t that extensive but more than enough to fill my family. I left feeling appreciated and satisfied with the experience at Urban Kitchen. Well done to the team and thanks for the catering staff for extending our time. The wagyu beef chuck was delicious. Will come again

We booked with Klook which was easy with a discount as well. As soon as we arrived we were taken to our table. The buffet is quite big with a separate drinks section. Cold appetizers include fresh shucked oysters, cocktail prawns, crab legs and lobsters. The oysters were really good. The lobsters were a bit tough...a little overcooked. I liked the 2 Chinese soups they had but both were a little salty. The Peking duck was decent. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't any suckling pig. Apparently it's over served on weekends. The prime rib and lamb chops were very good. The drinks section was nice with espresso machine and fresh juices. The dessert table was kinda limited. I was quite surprised at the limited Asian selection. The western desserts were only ok. I think this section can be approved. Overall it's a good buffet. Service is quite nice and it is kept very clean.

Robuchon au Dôme is a renowned three Michelin-starred restaurant located in Macau, part of the esteemed network of fine dining establishments by celebrity chef Joel Robuchon. The restaurant offers an opulent setting within the Lisboa Hotel, featuring French cuisine with refined elements. Recently relocated to a more extravagant spot under a glass atrium at the top of the hotel, it boasts lavish decor including a Swarovski chandelier and Baccarat crystal.
Very impressive three star Michelin restaurant situated at the top floor of Grand Lisboa Hotel. The service was impeccable, the waiter explained every dish and came every once in a while to check if we're enjoying the food. Live piano music played by a proper pianist is the cherry on top. The food was great, especially the appetizers and the starters. The mains were also good, but we were getting full at that point. To be honest, I've probably visited more than 20 Michelin starred restaurants but I've never seen anything like the dessert cart they have here, really have to see it once in your life.

The staff demonstrated the highest level of professionalism throughout the entire dining experience. Robuchon au Dôme , a three Michelin stars restaurant is one of the best restaurant that I’ve been so far. It is undeniably expensive, even by fine dining standards, but, if you prioritize taste, variety, quality and sheer indulgence, you will find it worth the splurge. If you enjoy wine, Rabuchon has an immense and exclusive wine collection. Try the by-the-glass options which is slightly less pricey. The bread trolley is a standout— it's one of the most extensive and beautifully crafted bread selections you'll find anywhere. The same goes for the dessert and mignardises (Petit Fours) trolley, which offers pastries, chocolates, and sweets, all prepared with precision. Overall, the experience is indulgent, with meticulously plated dishes that balance classic French techniques with contemporary touches. Make sure you make a booking in advance, before flying in.

A French old rich classic. An already amazing experience, but I expected a higher and better overall in terms of standards, with less restraints, limitations, and more freedom of choice to choose and experience everything showcased, in order for it to be passed as a 3 Michelin star experience above all the 2 and 1 stars I have tried. The dinner was approx US$500+ per pax. With a glass of wine + 2 signature menu. The seasonable menu was interesting, but since it was our first attempt, we went for the classic to check it off. The classic menu was extremely rich in every sense.. butter, lobster, caviar, foie gras, steak, pastry, cakes, ice cream, wine.. It’s an experience. The showcase of the chandelier at this top floor of grand Lisboa was amazing. Though view outside of the window was restricted that night due to weather, the old charming setting was private enough and nicely set up. By the end of the dinner.. I must say, it made me feel rich in every sense, taste, experience, food. It’s something to try to test my own limit to richness in food.

With Joel Robuchon hk still under revamp till Sep25 (according to Chef Julian), we went for Robuchon Au Dome in Macau for a weekdays lunch. You’ll get everything you’d expected from them and more: 1) services - impeccable services from greetings to understanding their customers and all the way towards the very fine details about temperature, gestures, when to give advice, provided a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. 2) wine and sommelier: I believe they hv a way bigger/better wine collection than most of the restaurants in the world, with very knowledgeable sommelier, we left the selection to her with great confidence, and of course, it was perfect. 3) leave space for bread, desserts, sweets, cheese whichever way you choose you number of courses. Every single item has their own distinctive trolley display. Very busy but pleasantly indulging experience. Don’t know about you, but we will definitely be back just for this, and prepare for a 3hr pleasant lunch and an extra 2hrs of walking afterwards. One of the best in the world

I inhaled them in seconds and jokingly told the staff I could eat ten more. Voilà: ten more croissants appeared! The entire experience was great: the food (like the perfectly cooked chateaubriand with foie gras), the old-school fine-dining charm (with staff hovering just enough to feel pampered), even the slightly dated ambiance had its nostalgic appeal. Best part? Leaving with a bag full of croissants hahaha loves it! Buttt... I dont get the "ladies-only" cak-takeaway at the end. Excuse me? === 43/F, Grand Lisboa

Located on the second floor of the iconic Hotel Grand Lisboa in Macao, The 8 is a prestigious Chinese restaurant that has been awarded three Michelin stars for seven consecutive years. The restaurant's ambiance is dark and moody, with heavy symbolism of the number eight and other Chinese motifs representing good fortune.
the food are all terrific. we love fish the most ..very fresh and swweet cook at its best with the perfect sauce. soya chicken is really dilicious. we also love the abalone here. actually every dishes are good . the staff is so friendly. best of all many of them speak good english.

The food is just fine. But a bit too expensive and nothing memorable. However if I could rate more than 5 stars for the service, I will be gladly giving it all. Probably one of the best service oriented restaurant I been to so far.

The decoration was impressive, and the food was delicious. The only thing not so perfect was that the service team was always in a rush, it made us feel pushed to eat fast and leave. It's not what we usually experience at a Michelin restaurant.

Tourist-focused spot with a nice interior, but the food and service don’t live up to two Michelin stars. Shark fin was disappointing in quality. Only highlight was the Braised Superior Bird’s Nest in Bamboo Pith. Tea selection and presentation were underwhelming. Not recommended for serious Cantonese fine dining. Not worth the price.

Although the lobby of Grand Lisboa is a bit crowded like the entrance of concert hall the Eight located on the second floor is quiet and elegant. We tried the dimsums and fried rice. And they taste as good as they look. Plus for the service and overall experience I think its worth the price. The manager from Nepal also made us feel like home.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Macau, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Alexandra, who set the tone for our stay with her exceptional service and friendly demeanor. She provided us with helpful maps and her insightful recommendations on what to do and see in the area, making it easy for us to explore. Alexandra personally escorted us to our rooms, ensuring everything was perfect and to our satisfaction. Her attention to detail truly stood out, and it was clear she genuinely cared about our experience. The accommodations were luxurious and comfortable, setting the stage for a relaxing getaway. The dining options at the hotel were nothing short of top-notch. The food and drinks were delightful, and the service in the restaurants was exceptional. Each meal was a culinary treat, enhancing our overall experience. When it came time to check out, Alexandra was there once again to assist us, helping us make arrangements to travel to Hong Kong seamlessly. Her consistent support throughout our stay made us feel valued and appreciated. Overall, our experience at Sofitel Macau was lovely, and I can't wait to return for another stay in the future. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in the old city center which is added value for who want to be in this area.. the food quality is good in breakfast and dinner. The front desk staff are nice and friendly the concierge service as well and the housekeeping.. I just wonder two important things: - in a hotel with this name and star ranking, and we paid for (executive floor room), you can not provide a good stable Internet service ? even a paid Internet? It is not logic that we cannot finish single online ticket reservation or payment (for 2 days) because the Internet keep interrupted every 20 to 30 seconds!! And this supposed to be the first Wi-Fi after logging in and having an account!! This is extremely disappointing. - The second issue: I understand your concern or your plan to be (a green hotel).. but you have to understand that some customers are coming to your hotel after long flights and arriving late at night when all the shops are closed.. so it’s a kind of politeness and basic Customer service to at least have one bottle of water. It doesn’t matter if plastic or cartoon (you have cartoon waters already), but at least put one bottle of water in the room for the customer who arrive till he is able to buy in the second day whatever he want.. even (paid bottle of water) I don’t mind to pay for it (but even this is not available in the room). this is disrespectful to your guests

Stay period end of October 2025 Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly memorable stay marked by genuine warmth and professionalism from start to finish. Mr. Russell coordinated all pre-arrival arrangements and requests with great efficiency, setting the tone for a smooth and welcoming experience. The concierge, Mr. Sam, was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout the stay. At Mistral and the lounge, Michelle, Kate, and Claudia delivered warm, attentive service that made each visit a pleasure. Housekeeping was prompt and meticulous, while Ms. Dawn stood out for her gracious hospitality and kind coordination in retrieving a wallet I had left behind after checkout — a gesture that spoke volumes about the sincerity of the team. Breakfast was of high quality with an excellent variety, and I especially appreciated the local touches such as noodles and congee that reflect Macau’s unique culinary heritage. Though Sofitel Macau is a well-established property with classic charm, it is the people who make it exceptional. Their attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care are the true jewels of this hotel — the kind of hospitality that many newer properties can only aspire to. Bravo to the team for upholding such heartfelt service.

Restaurant
Nestled in a charming square within Macao's well-preserved colonial district, ALBERGUE 1601 provides an authentic Portuguese dining experience in a retrofitted house. The restaurant offers traditional dishes such as caldo verde, bacalhau a bras, and duck rice. With cozy dining rooms and a curated list of favorite dishes, it captures the essence of old Macau.
We had dinner on 8/9/2025 to celebrate birthday. I made the reservation two weeks in advance m, which was very convenient since they allow online booking. There are many Portuguese restaurants in Macau, but I chose this one after watching a good review by @PerfectContinuousEat on YouTube. We tried most of the chef’s signature dishes, and overall the food was delicious and flavourful. Service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially our waitress Ms. Ella, who guided us through the menu, shared the history behind the dishes, and gave great recommendations. She even offered to call a taxi for us when we asked where to get one, which was a thoughtful touch. The restaurant itself has a charming, historic atmosphere, interestingly, some scenes from Jackie Chan’s new movie The Shadow Edge were filmed here, which makes dining feel even more special. A lovely experience overall, highly recommended for those looking to enjoy authentic Portuguese cuisine in Macau.

Visiting Macau for the first time on holiday and wanted to try out Portuguese cuisine. Albergue is a pleasant Michelin 1 star located just east of the old colonial fort. After hiking through the old quarters my family and I were famished. We had booked reservations the night before. It was quick and easy. After touching base briefly on WhatsApp, the restaurant confirmed tourist casual is ok. The food was great. We had the Seafood Rice and the Suckling Pig. Recommended starters were pretty good, especially the crab toast. Highly recommended.

4.5 stars Venue: This restaurant is situated in a complex. There are Portuguese style houses, outdoor courtyard, and 2 Camphor trees in the middle of the complex. A big Portuguese roaster statue is standing outside the restaurant. Nice reception area. Good upstairs to the dining area. Fine dining setting. High ceiling. Traditional Portuguese decor and poetry illustrations. Packed as fixed floor plan. Nice background Fado music. Nostalgic Restrooms. Reservation is recommended. --- 8.7/10 Service: Not busy. Walked in Tuesday lunchtime. The receptionist indicated us to go upstairs. Then, to be seated in one of the cubicles. Baskets were given for placing customer's bags on the floor. Tap water was available, but we needed to ask for refilling water for 2 times. Reasonable waiting time for food. Card payment at table. Polite and gentle staff. --- 8.5/10 F&B: Portuguese cuisine. Good presentation. Reasonable portion. Acceptable prices for good service and good food. Worthy. - Bread with Olive spread: bread was average. Free for the first batch. - Seafood Rice Stew, MOP 348: There were 2 very big mussels (half-shell on, beard), 3 big prawns, 3 clams, and squid). Rice was full of flavors. --- 8.8/10 - Roasted Suckling Pig, MOP 398: served with 3 orange slices and homemade Portuguese potato chips. Crispy crackling. Tender meat. --- 8.5/10 - Drunken Pear Poached in Port Wine, MOP 72: sweet wine. Softened pear.--- 8/10

Highly recommend the peri peri chicken and sawdust pudding! Both the rice and clams were great too but I guess the seasoning was not something we prefer~ (can be stronger) Was well served by the very sweet and thoughtful Ella who made our whole experience lovely. The restaurant's entrance features traditional Chinese compartmental cabinets, reflecting its focus on health and wellness. It has collaborated with Chinese medicine experts at Macao University of Science and Technology to curate its menu.
An exceptional dining experience at Jade Dragon Macau! The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and truly world-class. Each dish was not just a meal but a masterpiece, artistically presented with exquisite attention to detail. The restaurant's ambiance is stunning, with the Jade Dragon theme seamlessly woven into its elegant decor, from the intricate interiors to the beautifully crafted cutlery and tableware. A must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in fine Cantonese cuisine at its best! We opted for the Jade Dragon Experience Set Menu, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. This meticulously curated tasting menu showcased the finest ingredients, each dish elevating traditional Cantonese flavours with modern finesse. Highlights included the deep-fried oyster, slow-cooked abalone, and the roasted goose roll, all prepared with remarkable precision and artistry. The meal ended on a high note with a delicate dessert that was as visually stunning as it was delicious.

Jade Dragon Macao - An Exquisite Culinary Experience I had an exceptional lunch at Jade Dragon Macao, where we reserved one of their stunning private dining rooms. The room was beautifully decorated with luxurious touches and comfortably accommodated our group of six people. It created the perfect intimate setting for our gathering. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuinely warm service – they were truly service-minded, making us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout the meal. The dim sum was simply amazing, with each piece crafted to perfection – delicate, flavorful, and presented with artistry. We also ordered several à la carte dishes, which were equally outstanding. The shark fin soup was a highlight: refined, balanced, and harmoniously flavorful, leaving a lasting impression. Every dish we tried reflected exceptional culinary skill and premium ingredients, from luxurious touches like caviar and truffle to the perfectly roasted meats. Jade Dragon is a top-tier Cantonese dining experience in Macao, whether for a special occasion or simply to indulge in world-class dim sum and Chinese fine dining.

At Jade Dragon 🐉 , nothing short of spectacular. Fully deserving of its awards and recognition. During our trip, we came here twice. Each time we come to Macau, we never fail to visit Jade dragon 🐉 . This restaurant sets a ceiling standard for Chinese culinary and experience worldwide. The entire experience was impeccable, led by the team under Thomas (in the picture with me), who himself took care of us each time. I appreciate the warm and hospitable, and personable experience and service rendered by the wait staffs. It always brings us back. The food speaks volume of the standards held, and the chefs which can be seen in the kitchen. The pictures I’ve shared are some of the best dishes I have tried in Jade dragon, and of course there are so many other things to try here. I was wowed by the seasonal soup, and it was top notch. You can depend on the staff to guide you on the menu selection to have an enjoyable experience. There are very greatly executed and recommended items in each section. At this restaurant, we happily spend in exchange for the experience which money is made for 😊

A true three Michelin star restaurant. Very elegant interior, luxury in every detail. There is a lot of crystal, gold, black wood and jade in the décor. Unique cuisine with many rare ingredients you won’t find anywhere else. This is not just food, it’s the combination of TCM and gastronomy. I recommend trying the seahorse soup, it’s a true healing superfood. Geoduck is cooked with perfect technique. Sea cucumber and abalone are prepared extremely professionally. The chicken with black truffle is 100% umami. Every single dish we ordered matched the highest standard. The large tea list will satisfy even a serious connoisseur. The best place in Macau for those who understand what real Cantonese fine dining is.

Lemoncello Gelato is a popular dessert spot in Macau, known for its wide variety of innovative gelato flavors. Located in an alley near Senado Square, it was the first to specialize in gelato in the area. The gelato is freshly made each day and is low-fat and healthier compared to other options.
First reason to try because it’s Michelin gelato 😃Went there after lunch time, the Q was not too long.we even managed to get a seat.. confused what to chose since they have so many flavours lol 1 scoop is for $30, 2 scoops is for $45 The green tea and coffee I had were delicious 😋 Staffs are friendly to let us try some first before ordering.. worth to Q when you visit Macao 👍🏻

3.5 Walked past here and saw the queue started before the shop was open and decided to join in. A gelato shop. Used to be Michelin recommended until 2019. There are many flavours available. We opted for the matcha and kiwi. Kiwi was fresh and refreshing. Matcha was disappointing. Too sweet. Not matcha enough. Their cone tasted like the old school cone which the ice cream uncle used to sell in the ice cream cart outside of school. Texture wise - not the smooth dense gelato like consistency. Perhaps somewhere between gelato and ice cream

We stopped by before dinner since it was nearby. I ordered Rainbow & Durian, and Mint & Vanilla. The kids didn’t like the Durian at all, but I actually thought it was pretty good, haha. When I went, the place was really crowded, and I had to raise my hand to get the staff’s attention, otherwise it was hard to place an order.

This place offers 30 various flavors of gelato! They have very cool flavors like Black Mango, grapefruit, kiwi, and so much more! I just got their Green Tea & Cookies and Cream which did not disappoint! It balances each other out. Their gelato is super creamy and tastes really fresh & not artificial. They have superrrrr long lines on super sunny days here so definitely expect to wait!

HENRI'S Galley is a beloved spot, especially among expats and Portuguese locals. Established in 1976, this restaurant offers traditional dishes such as African chicken, Macanese minchi, and various codfish-based Portuguese delicacies. In addition to international fare, the menu features local specialties like spicy king prawn and curry fresh crab. The restaurant's charming outdoor seating provides views of Sai Van Lake and the Macau Tower.

I've been coming to Henri's Galley for many years since I was a kid. Every single time it has been a great experience, with the best Portuguese food in Macau! The African chicken is a must order. The sauce is rich and delicious and the chicken is very tender, and comforting as if it's something that's home made. The jumbo grilled prawns are also exceptional. Simple and grilled with garlic, but tastes so good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy. The waiting staff is very attentive and friendly, especially the older guy who has been working here for the longest time.
Sunny D — Google review
Very solid cooking from a restaurant that is almost half century old. The African chicken is the best I ever had (coz this is the first time I had the dish :) - jokes aside, the chicken is tender and the sauce has complexity. The prawn in chilli sauce is also excellent. The waiters / waitresses are attentive and have a casual and friendly attitude common to old restaurants. Highly recommended if you are looking for a fine Macanese dinner / meal.

My favourite restaurant in Macau! The noodles are springy and have a nice bite, the flavours of the prawn roe and spring onion make it so tasty. The dumpling (shui gao) soup is amazing as well. Nice bite of meat, shrimp, and black fungus enclosed infirm skin - textures just the way I like! The portions are small though, order more if hungry!

old style noodles shop. The staff was very nice and the food was great. The restaurant is really old, not very comfortable to stay. However, it is all about the food and it was great.
Lisa T — Google review
Before going in, there were lots of press cutting on the windows about this place yet the prices of the noodles were fairly inexpensive. It was really difficult choosing what to eat because there were so many combinations that seemed delicious. The portions turned out to be quite small but they all tasted delicious so it was forgivable. The beef in the beef curry was quite tough. The fish skin is highly recommended because of the sauce and the texture is not as springy as the ones in Hong Kong but then it depends if you like it springy or soft.

One of the best hotels in the world. 5 star service, exquisite decor and a true luxury experience. Staff was expertly trained and accommodating, we particularly enjoyed the hospitality of one of the baggage service staff called Jason. Only negative was us not being able to stay longer in this amazing property.

The Venetian Macao truly redefines luxury and grandeur, offering an unparalleled experience from the moment you step into its magnificent lobby. Our suite room was incredibly spacious, easily accommodating our family with its generous 70 square meters, two large TVs, and thoughtful touches like bedside USB charging ports. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean and pristine environment throughout the hotel was remarkable, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. We spent hours exploring the immense shopping mall, discovering a wide array of boutiques, and indulging in the diverse dining options, from casual food courts to exquisite restaurants. The staff were consistently attentive and helpful, always ready to assist with a warm smile, which significantly enhanced our overall experience. Whether enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the casino or the world-class entertainment at the Venetian Theatre, every moment here felt like a truly special escape. This resort is a destination in itself, offering everything you could possibly desire for a memorable and luxurious getaway. We are already planning our next visit to this magnificent property.

This is our first time in Macau, and we came directly to The Venetian Hotel. The design and spatial planning inside are exceptionally exquisite and beautiful, making it impossible for us to get enough of exploring. Whether it's shopping, dining, or taking photos, especially the internal Venetian canals, it gives you the illusion of truly being in Venice. It's a beloved spot and a great scenic location for taking plenty of photos. If you haven't visited Macau yet, I highly recommend it, and the egg tarts are incredibly delicious.

The Venetian Macao is truly something else — the casino and the mall inside are incredible! The whole place feels like a little piece of Venice, with the canals, gondolas, and beautiful architecture. The mall has so many shops and restaurants — you can easily spend hours walking around and still find new corners to explore. The casino is massive and lively, very clean, and well-organized. Even if you don’t play, it’s worth visiting just for the atmosphere. It can get quite crowded at times, but the vibe is great and there’s always something going on. Definitely one of the must-see spots in Macau!
Souad Y — Google review
5/5-ish, so went 4/5... The Venetian Macao — where opulence goes to the gym. Didn’t come to gamble, came to eat and meet, and wow, did the property deliver. Between Red Noodle, Imperial Dim Sum, and some surprisingly solid conference catering, I was happily overfed and under-productive in the best possible way. The shoppes are wild — part Vegas, part fever dream, part “am I indoors or in Florence?” You wander, get lost, and somehow end up with gelato. No complaints. Rooms? Absolute perfection. Spacious, plush, and polished enough to make most five-stars look like they need a tune-up. Service? Flawless — the kind of proactive hospitality that makes you believe in five-star training programs again. Tiny gripes, because no review is perfect: 1️⃣ The A/C topped out at “comfortable” when I wanted “Arctic expedition.” 2️⃣ The hallway noise slips right under the door — it’s like your suite is eavesdropping on everyone’s late-night room-service saga. Otherwise? Sublime. It’s a city-sized resort that actually lives up to its reputation. I’d stay again in a heartbeat — preferably with colder air and thicker doors, but that’s splitting golden hairs.

How wonderful hotel you are! This is one of special hotel in this planet. Yes, this hotel is little old and it is not recently trend. But which hotel can make this mood like here? There's never been a more explicit and glamorous hotel. Every second in here is stimulating. Anyway, I can't stop love this hotel.

Riquexó is an informal restaurant known for serving traditional Macanese comfort food, distinguishing itself from Portuguese cuisine. It is operated by a former chef often hailed as the Godmother of Macanese cuisine. The restaurant offers a casual and affordable dining experience with a few outdoor tables, adding to its unique charm. Riquexó stands out as one of the few places where authentic Macanese dishes can be savored.
We ordered African chicken, portugese style fried rice, fish fillets, and lamb chops. The lamb chops were so juicy, wow.. The African chicken is definitely out of the world. The fish fillet tasted so amazing that we ordered one more portion of it. We wouldn't recommend the fried rice, though. But the rest of the food was damn good!
Prayaga M — Google review
Tried the Mincci and the African Chicken. Both were good especially the Mincci. Its crispy ground pork and fried potatoes that goes very well with rice. The African chicken is a boneless pc of chicken with a slightly spicy sauce served with fries. It was ok but I preferred the mincci. The restaurant is clean, spcaious and the servers are nice. Its a good place to try Macanese traditional cuisine.
Sherwin G — Google review
A quiet Macanese eatery tucked away, feels a little dated. Minchi was flavorful but a bit too dry especially when it's supposed to be eaten with rice. The pastéis were also very flavorful but very grainy and had hard chunks of bacalhau. Over it's decent for a quick fuss free meal, but nothing outstanding.
Jun — Google review
I think i was looking for the restaurant for 15 minutes before finding it as it somehow quite hard to find. nestled between houses and other businesses. i ordered the minchi and african chicken. while the both are good, i prefer the minchi here. the price also very affordable compared to other eatery. the people working here also were very nice.
Yuwanda K — Google review
During our trip back to Macau, we decided to try Riquexó. We had a fantastic home style meal. We enjoyed several dishes, which included a traditional Macanese soup and then dessert. We enjoyed the Curry Chicken, Beef Minchi, and Vaca Estufada. Everything was prepared very well and served quickly. Highly recommended.
M C — Google review
Small restaurant with a mix of traditional meals and Portuguese cuisine. It’s more of a cantine than a fancy place but worth to go if you are enjoying a weekend in Macau. Prices are cheap even if you are going for the big plates.
Victor R — Google review
A real gem of the Macanese cuisine. A lot of local dishes and all amazing. The typical things are the Minchi and African Chicken but also nice things like the Portuguese Rice. You will love it. And the service is also nice and attentative. Don’t leave without trying the Fig Honey drink. One of the highlights of Macao, so much so, we came twice.
Esteve C — Google review
It was quite empty when I got there, they have separate space for dine in and take away. Food was super nice, felt homey and delicious. I recommend the minchi and african chicken, nicely seasoned, good portion, very nice. Owner was nice, eventho they really didnt speak english, they tried talking to us, somehow could communicate with them😅

One of the best lounges in Macau. I went to Nagomi Lounge with my mom and my best friend & we had an excelent time. We were treated like royals since the very first second. We will surely go back soon!

We are regulars at Nagomi and would visit every month. The set meals are very good value for money, complete with your choice of drink and decadent cake. Portions are generous and food presentation is impeccable. The staff are always friendly and helpful, reflective of a 5-star establishment. Kudos to Allan for always taking good care of us and his attention to detail. Nagomi is truly a hidden gem and provides tranquility in the bustling Galaxy property.

Allan, our server, provided what was perhaps the most exceptional service that I have received in Macau. He struck a perfect balance of communication and distance, allowing my family and I to enjoy our meal, all whilst providing context and narrative for each of our orders. I must say, also, that Allan spoke very good English, which was a nice surprise. Je suis étonné, je n’ai même pas reçu un service pareille dans des restaurants parisiens, bravo Allan!

My husband, friends and I had the Lunar New Year afternoon tea which was one of the most pleasant experiences we’ve ever had. Nothing was too hard for the extremely attentive and generous staff, even going as far to call us a car for us to catch our bus back to Hong Kong, to catch our flight. The food was delicious, and each item of food had a special and auspicious meaning for the new year, which was carefully explained to us. When we had to leave slightly earlier, they again were extremely accommodating, with a whole lot of staff members helping us with our luggage and seeing us into the taxi. Ivy Leong is particularly lovely, and also sent us off with a few lovely new year and Valentine’s Day gifts. We will be going back when we’re next in Macau, and will definitely consider staying in the Okura Hotel.

When in Macao, make sure to visit Lun Kee Cheung Fun Rice Roll, a small eatery near the Ruins of St Paul's known for its specialty dish. Despite its inconspicuous appearance, this place is worth seeking out for its delicious offerings. The egg steam rice roll and fried beef noodle are particularly recommended. The cheung fun is soft and bouncy, served with a variety of self-service sauces for customization.
Hole in the wall! The egg and scallion rice rolls were super smooth and soft. Tasted even better with the trio of sauces offered on the table. The owner of the place is super humble and down to earth. There was a TV on the wall playing a bunch of videos explaining his story and cooking, which was really interesting! Delicious breakfast. A must try!
Arabelle F — Google review
A small and humble shop serving Cheung fun (rice rolls). The batter is applied onto a piece of large cloth and steamed together, along with the fillings. It’s a sight to behold at the kitchen. The owner is super accommodating although he is the only one working at the shop. We topped up our prawn Cheung fun and egg Cheung fun with generous peanut and soy sauce and it was the very comfort food that every Cantonese person craves. The most special item was the turtle jelly with osmanthus and honey Cheung fun, a sweet item. All around highly recommended, something in Macau that the locals also love.
Helen J — Google review
Place has limited space allowing maximum 2-3 parties to dine inside. Owner made the orders all by himself very efficiently so it took less than 5 minutes to receive one hand-made rice roll after ordering. The texture of the rice roll was nice and chewy. Personally I find the soy sauce provided was a bit weird and could be seasoned a bit before offering.
Kero C — Google review
The best Rice Rolls in Macau! They have a thin layer of egg around the rice roll that is a really good addition. Coupled with the classic sauces - especially their peanut sauce and you have yourself a 9/10 snack!
Lift_Run_Eat_ — Google review
Ordered Cheung Fun (plain just egg and rice sheet). Perfect for breakfast as it is light and the peanuty sauce makes it perfect and the owner knew that I'm a bit confused on how to eat it as this is my 1st time eating a cheung fun and he helped me and show how to eat it. Nice food, nice owner.
Yuwanda K — Google review
Friendly Boss with highly recommended food! Atmosphere is the typical Hongkong eatery feel where it's squeeze due to lack of space. But the Food totally makes up for it, recommended to have the egg fen chang & truffle fen chang!

Wynn Macau is a luxurious property in Macau, offering elegant rooms and suites with stunning lake views. As one of the first casino properties in the area, it boasts opulent sculptures and art installations such as the Tree of Prosperity and the Dragon of Fortune. The hotel's Performance Lake showcases mesmerizing water and lights performances that can be enjoyed from some of the rooms.
Wonderful hotel, casino and tourist place. People are mostly nice and friendly. So many shops and restaurants to choose from. - Facai (fortune) tree is not in place recently - Free sky cabin tree is wonderful with music fountain - Betting on the table seems to be 3000 local currency. I saw one people having 1 million local currency on a outside table, so the betting is very large

This thing happened july2 2024. First they sold me a room that was not cleaned. They told me to put my luggage inside. Then when I asked them to open the door they refused. I asked them to call the police because my luggage was lost and they still refused to help me. When I asked other customers to call the police for me they actually tried to stop other customers from calling the police for me. It’s the person in photo ! What a horrible place. Are they service staff or gangsters? I have stayed in many five star hotels and this is the first time this has happened. It's outrageous.

So close to the Macao, Hong Kong boarder that if you arrive late it won’t take you long until you can rest your head. With lots of shops within 10 minutes walk, along with a bus station and taxi rank minutes away. Activities within the building and close by is limited if you come with children without spending a lot. So you better win it in the many casinos around and in the building.

23 July 25 Poker room has moved to a new location in a corner. Only 1 table 1000/2000 and 2 tables 50/100 is running. The lively scene of the past is no longer there. There's no promotion of any kind. Better to visit MGM Cotai or the Venetian for poker.
Rick S — Google review
$500 a night... The rooms simply are not worth anything near $500 a night. $100 to $150 a night is absolutely reasonable for these size and quality of rooms. $500 a night is just ridiculous and way over priced

The Wynn Hotel in Macao is a luxurious retreat that seamlessly blends world-class entertainment with an unparalleled shopping experience. Located in the heart of the Macao Peninsula, it is a perfect destination for those seeking indulgence, offering a vibrant retail haven alongside the thrill of a casino. The Wynn’s shopping promenade is a showcase of high-end luxury brands. From Chanel and Cartier to Louis Vuitton and Prada, the range caters to even the most discerning shoppers. The boutiques are impeccably designed, with spacious layouts and attentive service that elevates the shopping experience. What truly sets Wynn apart is the atmosphere of sophistication and exclusivity it creates. Whether you are purchasing a statement item or simply admiring the displays, every moment feels special. The convenience of having this retail paradise just steps from the casino adds to its appeal. After testing your luck on the gaming floor, you can celebrate with a new purchase or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautifully designed promenade. The hotel itself is a visual masterpiece, with glittering chandeliers, mesmerising fountains, and opulent interiors that exude glamour at every turn. Combined with Wynn’s outstanding hospitality, it creates an environment where every guest feels like royalty.

Pastelaria Koi Kei is a renowned Macanese chain with 23 stores across Macao, employing around 500 people and representing 75% of the pastry souvenir market. The chain offers a variety of snacks and pastries, including their famous salted winter ginger and delicious egg tarts. Customers praise the fast and helpful service provided by the staff, as well as the tasty almond cookies and egg rolls available in various choices.
After trying bak gua (meat jerky) from a couple of stores, I find the bak gua from kok kei the best (taste and texture wise).
Shi J — Google review
The tart didn't taste of egg and pastry is soggy. What makes it even worst is the rudeness of the lady at the egg tart counter. Don't bother with this place.
Jacky N — Google review
Had to also try a 'regular' one from a chain Pastelaria just to compare with all the other popular tarts I had. There were tons and tons of shops and cafes selling these pastel de natas so I just decided to try one from this popular chain. This ranks as my #3 of the 4 I tried. It was not overwhelmingly delish but still fresh, flaky and buttery - although it lacked depth compared to Lord Stow's and Margaret's. Perhaps it was mass baked - thus it was slightly similar in taste to those regular egg tarts we get back home. Nonetheless the custard is good, creamy and still less sweet than Manteigaria's. Most value for money of all four.
Jennifer ( — Google review
Nice people waiting and offering their hot egg tarts at 10 Mop each, which you can buy with a box of 4 or 6. They have a lot more to offer as well They accept cash, credit cards and ewallets for payments. Ko Kei has a lot more stores as well over Macao. You will see the purple box.

It’s a very popular bakery and shop. There’s a huge crowd, many yelling at each other, store clerks speaking so very loudly amongst themselvess Cookies, candies and savories are made and sold here. The almond cookies have tempered sweetness, but are very very dry 🫤🫤🫤. To Westerners, a surprising item here are savory crackers made with dried pork of various flavors. The ones made with rice crispies and pork are outstanding. There’s also whole dried fish🙃🙃🙃. Then there’s the duck feet, being pushed very hard by checkout clerks. THEY ARE PUSHING TOO HARD😡😡😡 to sell/add it to bag. Despite my saying NO, I found it in the of crackers I bought…. No wonder why my change was 100HKD short than expected!!!

One of the local chains that is famous for their snacks. Fast and good service. The staffs are helpful in explaining about their products. Salted winter ginger is the main product that I always buy here. They also sell egg tarts that are quite good too. Bought some marinated goose feet and wings during this trip. Highly recommended by the staffs. Seems that they are sold out very fast and not available all the time. Almond cookies are also available in many choices. Egg rolls are tasty too
