Witches Gulch, situated at Wisconsin River State Natural Area in Wisconsin Dells, is a captivating slot canyon formed by the force of rushing water through rock. Accessible only via the Upper Dells boat tour, this privately owned natural wonder offers a short and narrow walk on a wooden deck along the Gulch creek. While some visitors find the tour cost-prohibitive, others believe that the stunning beauty of this sandstone canyon justifies the expense.
Take the boat tour to see this incredible place. It is a magical place, incredible views and the connection with nature is amazing. I have seen comments complaining about wifi or not wanting to pay for the boat tour. Valid comments but at least from my side I went to connect with nature and the amazing people that work there keeps the place clean. Take the time to go to this amazing place.

Found this under hiking trails. This is NOT a hiking trail. First off GPS settings bring you to an employee entrance and took us forever to find. Locals had no idea how to get there. Had to buy a boat tour to get to it. On a boat way longer than on land. Tour was 2 hours 15 min. We were dropped off and rushed through something I wanted to stand and take in and enjoy. Not an option. You had to rush and even with rushing almost missed the boat. Took us to another cool area where again rushed. Not worth the large amount you pay since you do nit get to enjoy and are rushed through rapidly
Kelli B — Google review
The Upper Dells Witch’s Gulch tour was worth it. The captain and tour guide were engaging and gave us lots of fun facts! I knew the stops would be short, but I think it was a nice way to spend a few hours.
Jackie P — Google review
“DO NOT” enter where the signs are placed on the trail (nudge nudge wink wink) and DO NOT follow the trail until you hear water. And absolutely DO NOT go down to the bridge to see the canyon for free instead of taking the boat ride. I went there early in the morning, and caught sunrise by the river.

This was fun and really beautiful. We had to take a boat tour to get to the Witches Gulch but we enjoyed it.

Very interesting place. The trail is short and straight not steep at all. Got great pictures. There is a cafeteria at the end of the trail so you can get refreshments. We really enjoyed exploring this place. Definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful place to visit. It's very unique and tranquil location. It is also handicapped accessible. The best way of getting there is through a dinner cruise at sunset.

We've come here while on Dell's Jet boat tour. We had about 20mins to walk thru it... Use a bathroom, buy and eat an ice cream.. then we had to go back to the boat to get wet ;) It is a pretty place and a highlight during our jet boat ride. Definitely recommend it.

Noah's Ark Waterpark is a sprawling 70-acre family-friendly destination in Wisconsin Dells, known as America's largest waterpark. With over 51 water slides, the park offers a wide range of attractions suitable for all ages. From thrilling tube slides like The Plunge and Monkey Rapids to leisurely options such as lazy rivers and wave pools, there's something for everyone. Special areas are designated for kids, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Loved the park and the whole experience. It was a hot day and wait time was not bad, but that was a Tuesday so don’t mind it if it’s just during the weekend. Plenty of rides, lots of food to pick from(general burgers, tenders, fries, etc..) But your tickets online, with the package that includes food and drink from Johnny rocket or MIA pizza. Wait time was less than 25 minutes and it was not bad.
Sam — Google review
We went there in August. The weather was a bit cloudy and the temperature was around 78°F. We bought our tickets online, so there wasn't any waiting line to get in! Wow, the park was so beautiful and the weather was just perfect for enjoying after using our devices – it was amazing! Then, suddenly the sky went dark and it started raining, so the park had to shut down the devices activity and ask everyone to head to the shelters. We were in the shelter for about an hour, and it was really pouring rain. After that, it stopped, and the park started getting lively again. We played for about an hour before the sky got dark and it rained again, which stopped everything. We decided to leave the park, and when we were leaving, they gave us another ticket because it was raining today. The customer service was great! The rain really did waste our time. We drove for about two hours to get there, spent the whole day just playing, but ended up wasting time waiting in the shelter and then having to leave early. However, on the other hand, the rain made the park much less crowded, and the lines were significantly shorter than they usually are on a weekend in the summer. So, we weren't that sad about facing the bad weather.

The best time in Wisconsin Dells area !! America 's largest water park !!! We had loads of fun and convenience around the park. The best slides are : Black Anaconda ranks first. Time Warp goes for 2nd. The wave beach is one of my favorites as well. It's a water park duh?!!! You are wet all the way through. Leave your towels in a spot because you won't need it. Even if the Sun is out, you will never be dry. Walk all around the park and one day is not enough to enjoy. Go in at 10 so less people are coming in and enjoy the best time until closing at 7pm. Worth it all the way. Make sure to buy online for convenience and savings. I love this park, we'll be back next year !!!

I've been going to Noah's Ark Waterpark for the past 30 years, and it still delivers some of the best water slides in America. Other parks in the Dells just don’t compare—the rides here are more complex, thrilling, and fun. We went again today, and it was just as exciting as ever. Lines were shorter than usual, and the price was very reasonable. They’re currently running a great deal on season passes—I got one for the price of a single visit, which was an absolute steal. The park is clean, well-maintained, and continues to raise the bar when it comes to water rides. If you’re visiting Wisconsin Dells, Noah’s Ark is hands down the best water park to choose for a top-tier ride experience.
Sean H — Google review
Great waterpark overall! We had a fun time and were pretty happy with how the day went. The only real downside was the long lines for the bigger slides - some were 30 to 45-90minutes, which made it tough to try everything. But I guess that’s just part of the deal during peak season. We paid for priority parking and it was worth it, it’s super close to the entrance and only $5 more than regular. We got there about 30 minutes before opening and were first in line, which I’d definitely do again. We packed light, just towels, dry clothes, and water bottles and everything fit into the smallest locker. Saved a bit of money that way too. Our hotel (La Quinta) gave us a park ticket deal: $20 per person for the whole stay, which was way better than Groupon ($104 for 3 people for a day) or the park’s own price ($124 for 3 for one day). Food inside the park was actually decent and fresh. Expect to pay around $15–20 per meal. The wave pool was a highlight - perfect water temp, tons of space, and really strong waves. Super fun and a great spot to hang out and cool off.

Had amazing time here it did rain for the beginning of the day, but we still enjoyed all the rides. Some of the rides are a little scary but if you’re a thrill seeker, you’ll love it. I guess I’m just a baby ha ha ha. Great fun for the whole family.

Fun outdoor waterpark! A little bit for every age. My kids are 9, 8 and 6 and they had a great time. The park could use some updating, but it was a bit nostalgic so I didn't mind. We bought discounted tickets online and tailgated in the parking lot mid-way through the day to keep costs down. We went on a weekday, so the park wasn't crazy busy and we prefer that. Overall a fun time had by the entire family!
Alexandria I — Google review
What a fun day this place is! You can't get it all in in one day but wow there is something for everyone. We had a family of 6 small to large kids and man they all enjoyed it. We opened it up and shut it down. The chameleon was the family favorite. Food is pricy, I'd suggest getting a ticket deal that includes a meal for a discounted price totally worth it. You can save more by planning to picnic in the parking lot they have picnic tables out there you just can't bring food into the park. 10 out of 10 would go again. Tons of life guards felt very safe on all the rides. Totally worth a visit.

Wisconsin Deer Park is a 40-acre petting zoo that has been operating for over fifty years. It offers visitors the opportunity to interact with and feed over 100 deer, as well as other wildlife such as elk, bison, goats, lemurs, and llamas. The park's well-groomed trails provide an authentic experience where guests can get up close and personal with the animals while learning about their life cycles.
So fun and highly recommended! This was our favorite thing to do in Wisconsin Dells!! There's tons of deer just walking around and you can touch and feed them. I recommend buying the $1 deer food cups (inside of the deer park), because the deer will come to you. So fun and great for all ages.
David N — Google review
We had more fun than we expected! Absolutely enjoyable for all ages. We went right as they opened and I highly recommend doing that. It was nice and cool, the deer were happy to see us with the snacks we purchased for them, and it wasn’t crowded. Plenty of places to get more snacks for the deer and a clearly marked area to wash and sanitize your hands.
Melissa C — Google review
We really enjoyed this place. You can buy these wafer crisps for the deer and certain other animals. They will swarm you! I had a bunch of new deer friends following us around. It really was amazing to me. There are other animals as well. We'll be coming back for sure on future Dells trips. My only concern was the one female deer in with the buck, she looked a bit too thin to me. Watch out for deer droppings!
Amber M — Google review
We had a great time at Wisconsin Deer Park- it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! Before visiting, we saw reviews online saying not to waste money on the crackers sold at the entrance, but we didn’t have any issues with the deer eating them. We visited just after Labor Day weekend (off-season), around noon, and the deer were still very interested in food. Reviews often recommend coming earlier in the day when they’re hungrier, which makes sense, but we found them friendly and eager to interact even at midday. The setup was really special: you walk right through their habitat and the deer will come up to you, follow you around, and even let you pet them while feeding. They clearly preferred food to pets, but the experience was still magical and very safe. The second half of the park especially was full of friendly deer eager for snacks. There are also other animals in the park. Most seemed fine, but the lemurs looked a little understimulated, and the rabbits didn’t make a lot of sense to us since you can’t pet them (they bite). Their enclosures were large enough, but they didn’t have access to grass or roaming space- hopefully they get some time outside of their cages occasionally. Tips for visiting: • Definitely buy the crackers, we had a great experience with them. • Bring lots of quarters for the corn machines scattered throughout the park. • Plan to spend at least an hour or two walking through slowly, especially if you have kids. Overall, it’s a unique and memorable experience that we’d recommend to families visiting the Dells. Getting that close to the deer, and having them walk alongside you is something you won’t forget.
Christine F — Google review
Very clean park with very silly deer. Some of the deer are rather shy. Others will follow you around the whole park. It's nice to see the deer up close and give them some pets. Some of them are just there for the snacks. Others like a good scratch. My favorite part of the whole park was the muntjac deer. It came up to the fence and was very polite. I couldn't resist petting it. It LOVED scratches behind the horns. The other animals there seems we'll cared for. They are kept in smaller enclosures during the day. The different types of deer were very cool to see. Even one of the white tailed deer came up for a snack.
Alex A — Google review
This was an awesome place to visit and I recommend everyone of all ages would love and have fun feeding the deer. The deer were so friendly and followed us while we were walking around. They are all so beautiful ❤️.
StarSeed — Google review
It was okay and the kids did enjoy it. Just wish we would've known that most of the loose animals eat the corn MUCH better than the crackers you buy inside. We bought three packs and barely went through two. I'd advise one pack for your group and to get your corn cups outside.
Matthew H — Google review
Fun and affordable for your family. Our 6 year old really wanted to go. Even the teens were smiling. The deer are friendly. Cute gift shop we got to pick out reminders of our trip at. We bought 10 packs of cracker at the entrance for our family of 6. Could have bought more- there were plenty of hungry deer.

Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin Dells, H. H. Bennett Studio stands as a remarkable tribute to the legacy of Henry Hamilton Bennett, a trailblazing photographer who played a pivotal role in showcasing the area's stunning landscapes. Established in 1875, this historic studio is not only the oldest operating business in town but also serves as an engaging museum filled with fascinating exhibits that delve into both Bennett's life and his artistic contributions.
Beautiful photography and amazing historical building. Fascinating story and inventions on how he became famous and made The Dells what they are today.
Bikes W — Google review
After taking the Upper Dells Boat Tour we had to stop in to see the photographer of H. H. Bennett. This site is operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society, this is not a tourist trap and is fully worth the admission to tour the museum and the original building Bennett used to print his photographs. Well done exhibit, caring staff, welcoming to those with disabilities. If touring other historical sites in Wisconsin it may be worth purchasing a membership which will help support the preservation mission.
Kevin H — Google review
Affordable, educational and fun! Definitely something to check out if you’re any bit interested in history and the lovely state of WI
Zach A — Google review
As my wife and I are members of The Wisconsin Historical Society, we get free admission to the museum, but even if that wasn't the case, it would still be worth the cost of admission to take a walk through this incredible collection. If you are interested in photography like I am, there are interesting tidbits around every corner, and even more so when you get to the studio part of the self guided tour. The original HH Bennett Studio is preserved in its original condition, including the office, studio, and darkroom. The manager, Dave Rambow, is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the studio, and also uses tin type plates (aluminum actually), to make images in the studio. Dave prepares the plates and develops them right in front of you. Even if you aren't big into photography, the tour still gives you a good history of the Dells as well.

Excellent museum if you wish to have exposure to the history of Wisconsin Dells and what made it famous in the first place. Excellent staff as well, highly recommend a stop in!

Truly worth a stop. Not as crazy as other things in the greater dells area, but great history of one of the men that helped the beauty to be admired. The stereo photos and interactive video tools are nice. Walking through the old lab and shop are truly inspiring.

The Original Wisconsin Ducks is a must-visit attraction in Wisconsin Dells, offering unique tours on amphibious vehicles that date back to World War II. The tour takes visitors through the picturesque Lake Delton and Wisconsin River, providing interesting insights about the environment and the city.
The whole family had a really great time on this tour. It lasts a little over an hour and cover some really cool and interesting spots. Our tour guide, Luke, was great. Towards the end the tour guides do attempt to sell you a book of information as well as postcards. The cost is $5, but the tour guy is supposedly buy them themselves so anything over $5 is basically a tip for them. I recommend that you have some cash to give them tips. After all, most of them are college kids working for the summer. They do sell beer food and other drinks that you can take on the duck boat with you.
Kim W — Google review
I have visited the Dells plenty of times in my life, but have never done the ducks, naturally when in town this past time we decided to give it a try and go for the Original. We visited early October and had no issue walking right up to the ticket window and then walking right onto the Duck. I assume it gets pretty busy in the summer and there is a maze of partitions for larger crowds, and a snack bar to hold you over until you get on the Duck. The driver and guide are great at balancing cheesy jokes and some time for you to enjoy the scenery and the ride. We learned a little about the history of the Ducks themselves, the Lake Delton area, and Wisconsin wildlife as we took about an hour long tour. It was great to see some scenery and lean about the history, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a little something different to do than waterparks!
Anna R — Google review
We had a great time there. We bought the tickets when we got there and got onto the duck boat in about 10 minutes. It was fun riding on land and then into water twice. There's some great views on the river as well as through the woods.

Love them!! Excellent people! *Wish it wasn't as expensive as it is but ...even saving online only helps a little..they should offer more discounts! Such a fun and educational fun fact mini hour vacation there! This was my 5th time in my life. Love the drivers/guides. It's definitely a MUST GO TO THING AT THE DELLS! A++ We had Captain Jack Garwood and my hubby purchased the little Sales pitch thingy at the end BECAUSE JACK WAS awesome! Very funny and passionate about it! Java Sea Duck. It's a MUST to-do for ALL ages at the Dells..THE ORIGINAL DUCKS!! This one is just so cool and pretty, historical, fun, etc. Do the ORIGINAL!!
Michelle S — Google review
A truly unique experience in the Wisconsin Dells. Worth the price of admission and fun for all ages. Parents will appreciate the history more than kids, but the scenery and the land/water drives keeps the kids engaged. Our tour guide, Luke, was wonderful. He kept us laughing with corny jokes and navigated the amphibious vehicle with ease. Tour lasts approximately one hour and it was nice that they were departing about every 5 minutes so we weren’t waiting in line to board. I appreciate seeing college kids working their summers all through the Dells - and Luke was no exception. He has a bright future!
Ashley W — Google review
We had a great experience with the Wisconsin ducks boat tour. The guide was super fun and got to ride the very interesting boat that runs on both land and water. Took a lot of pictures throughout the tour. Definitely recommend.
Atika H — Google review
It was a lot of fun! The tour guide was full of dad jokes as we went along. Be prepared that they will pull the boat over and try to sell you a small book of the tour you just took with a packet of postcards. Also, they take your picture as you're waiting to get on the boat and you will be stopped by some people with a packet of that photo asking you to pay $20 for it. I didn't like the sales pitches, but everything was great. The time of the ride was just perfect. Not too short, not too long. Don't sit in the back seats! Lol
Gayle R — Google review
Great tour. Madeline was great!! Her dad jokes were funny!! The booklet was very reasonable priced which is basically your tip for the driver. Would recommend. Our group already mailed some of the postcards back home to family.

Dells Boat Tours is a well-established tour operator offering scenic cruises along the Wisconsin River, showcasing the area's unique rock formations. With tours running from mid-April to early November, visitors can choose between exploring the Upper Dells or Lower Dells. The Upper Dells tour includes access to Witches Gulch and Stand Rock, where a trained dog performs a cliff leap. On the other hand, Lower Dells Boat Tours cruise downstream.
We had a fantastic time as a family on the Upper Dells Boat tour. Our guide Abby and Captain Troy had great hospitality and kept us entertained. I remember taking this tour as a child years ago and it’s still very much the same, but in a good nostalgic way. We got scenic views and stops at Witch’s Gulch and saw the dog jump at Stand Rock. We had great weather later in the day, some sun to start off and cooler temps on our way back. This is the classic Dells experience and I enjoyed sharing it with my husband and son. Thanks again for great memories!

The Dells Boat Tour was absolutely beautiful! The scenery along the river is breathtaking, with incredible rock formations and peaceful views all around. The ride itself was relaxing, and we had plenty of opportunities to take in the natural beauty. It’s such a unique way to experience the Wisconsin Dells - calm, picturesque, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. Truly a must-do!

Did the Upper Dells boat tour and had a wonderful time. The tour lasted about 2&1/2 hours and it took you to two different areas you got off boat and walked around. It was beautiful there and highly recommend doing both upper and lower Dell's tours. Our boat Captain's name was Lexie and the man doing the talking was Mark. They were both excellent and made the trip even more enjoyable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Experience! Dells Boat Tours in Wisconsin Dells is an absolute must! The tour takes you through the breathtaking Witches Gulch, offering stunning views at every turn. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and make the experience even more enjoyable. Make sure to grab a seat on the top of the boat so you can feel the wind in your face—just wait until you reach the Gulch and feel that refreshing temperature drop! Truly an unforgettable experience.

I love love LOVED this experience. Coming from a Michigan gal who has done the Pictured Rocks tour several times, this was akin to that but better because you got to get up close and personal with the rocky formations. I wish I could have hours in Witches Gulch! It was a very hot day and I was grateful for the coolness of the formations, the concessions, and the bathrooms! We were on the General Bailey. The seats weren’t comfy at all but that didn’t dull my appreciation for the tour, the boat captain, and the tour guide. They were both women and they absolutely killed it; they’re a phenomenal team. Overall, I would love to visit again and take another tour.
Melissa C — Google review
We took this tour with Laura and Abby on the Belle Boyd Boat. It was fantastic! Abby was a knowledgeable and funny guide (even gave us a suggestion for where to have lunch afterwards) and Laura was a truly skilled captain, giving us a smooth ride. The Witches Gulch was not crowded and we were able to meander and take all the photos we wanted. At stand rock we were thrilled with the dog jump. Would certainly do this again!

I loved this tour. We opted for the upper river tour. It was absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide, Coral, was great and had a fun sense of humor. Our captain, Scott, was also very nice and did a great job. They made an excellent team. It was a fun 2 hour tour. I definitely recommend it.

We had a phenomenal time on the Upper Dells tour with guides Jenna and Beau!! Both highly skilled, knowledgeable, charismatic, and FUN! The tour features two separate disembark points with killer scenery and restrooms/concessions (bring cash!). This tour was unexpectedly educational and we were thrilled to learn as much as we did about the indigenous people and culture. Duration ~2hrs.

Mt. Olympus - Water & Theme Park Resort is the world's largest water resort, featuring 37 waterslides, 3 lazy rivers, and 2 massive wave pools. The theme park is designed around Ancient Greece and Greek mythology, offering roller coasters, outdoor water slides, and go-karts that pass through underwater tunnels. With a variety of accommodations including budget-friendly hotel rooms and a Camp Resort with cabins and tent sites, this resort provides an adventurous experience for all ages.
Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park is a fantastic destination for families looking for a mix of excitement and relaxation. We visited during the summer and had an amazing time exploring both the indoor and outdoor water parks. The outdoor water slides were thrilling, and the wave pool was a big hit with the kids. The indoor park is a great backup in case of rain, and the lazy river was perfect for unwinding. The park is massive, so be prepared to do a lot of walking. The roller coasters and go-karts in the theme park section added even more adventure to our day. We also appreciated the free admission included with our hotel stay—it made everything feel more convenient and budget-friendly. The only downsides were that it got very crowded during peak hours, and food lines were long. It’s best to arrive early and plan breaks to avoid the rush. Also, the hotel rooms could use some updates, but overall, they were clean and comfortable. Mt. Olympus is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Wisconsin Dells area. Great fun for all ages—we’ll be coming back again next summer!

We have been coming to Mt. Olympus for many years now since my kids were babies and liked the smaller water slides and rides and now they love the bigger water slides and roller coasters. There is always so much to do and they are always adding new things so it is fun to come back year after year. This year my 12 year old requested to go for her birthday and we tried the birthday package and she loved it! The employees are all wonderful. We all had a great time even at the end of August we still were able to go on all the water slides and roller coasters and the lines were not long at all. Thank you as always Mt. Olympus. 🏊🏼‍♀️🎢🎂♥️

A week ago, I visited the park. It was a family trip planned two months in advance. We reserved a hotel room in advance with direct park admission. Everything was great, except that upon arrival and check-in, we had to wait around five hours for our room to be ready since check-in time was 4:00 p.m., and we arrived at 11:00 a.m. It's worth mentioning that we traveled from Arkansas. The housekeepers kindly let us use another room to change and one of my sisters forgot her bag, yes it was our mistake but we were so excited and traveling with children is not an easy task. To make this short, it only took us 15 minutes or less to realize the forgotten bag, we returned to the room and it was gone, we asked the guys and they didn't see anything, the hotel staff and manager didn't show any interest. The bag only had $300 in cash and we said that didn't matter, we were only interested in the IDs and cards. I think they should have a plan to assist customers with these types of problems, since there are no cameras in the hallways or at the hotel entrance. Still we tried to enjoy the park for the kids, because they were excited.

Stayed Saturday through Tuesday. Water park was ok, everything closed at 7 besides the outdoor theme park. Older acquired hotel is definitely not kept up. There are outdoor BBQ areas. The room itself (which we paid dearly for) was the best part. It was very nice but walls were very very thin. They do have someone driving through the lot every now and then. Carpets throughout the halls are very dirty and the elevator was extremely dirty.

This place was great! I took my two sons here 9 and 11 and both were able to do all the rides and enjoyed the entire time. We booked in advance so the room and park rate was very affordable. Food at the park is expensive but that's to be expected. Wait times for most things were not bad the majority of the time. The only complaints I have is I wish there were more drinking fountains in the park, we only found one the whole time. And I wish they would enforce some of the rules more. The amount of times I got hit during go karts when in the out area because people thought it was funny was very annoying. Same with people holding a place in line for a while group to walk past you. But all in all the park was great, it was very clean, and the staff was great at both the hotel and the park. I absolutely would go here again!

Stayed at Mount Olympus with my sons and had a great time in the Wisconsin Dell area. You got free water park there everyday with your stay. Everyone in your group which made it really fun and enjoyable. They have game room there, miniature golf course ,and even a a amusement rides that you can enjoy.

My family and I stayed at Mt Olympus Resort Hotels and received the passes to the theme/ water park FREE!!! The water was cold but understandable because it's only 72° currently. We will absolutely be back in the near Future.

This was our 1st visit to the Waterpark only, we absolutely had a great day! It didn’t feel like it was over crowded but the lines for the big slides were quite long but it seemed like they moved at a good pace, lots of different age areas for the kids which made it even more enjoyable for our 3 year old. We ate lunch by the Toddler area and their French fries were delicious. Life jackets are available for no charge to use (if you forget to bring one like we did) in different areas of the waterpark. There were ample amount of lounge/sit up chairs available for resting time. Lots of photo ops also available to take for your memory books. Plenty of gift shops and little snack shops around the park, also plenty of restrooms The do have stroller/wagon/wheel chair rentals. If you don’t rent a room it is quite a walk from the parking lot to the waterpark with hills

Timbavati Wildlife Park is a family-friendly animal park that has been around for centuries and is home to over 350 animals from more than 70 species. Visitors can enjoy supervised interaction with various animals throughout the park and even take a ride on the Safari Train or a trained camel. The park offers interactive activities such as camel and pony rides, as well as opportunities for children to have close encounters with baby wallabies and kangaroos.
A Must-Do Experience in Wisconsin Dells! Our visit to Timbavati Wildlife Park was an absolute highlight of our trip to Wisconsin Dells. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a clean, well-organized park and incredibly friendly staff. The hands-on experiences are what truly set this place apart. We loved the giraffe feeding—getting up close with such majestic animals was an unforgettable moment to share. The variety of animals is impressive, and you can tell that they are well cared for. The zookeepers were knowledgeable and passionate, answering all our questions and sharing fun facts. The Safari Train Ride was a fantastic way to see many of the animals in a different setting. It felt like a mini-adventure. The park is a perfect size for a day date—not so big that you get exhausted, but with more than enough to see and do to fill several hours. Timbavati offers a genuine connection with wildlife that is wonderful to share with a partner. We can't wait to go back!

We took our kids this past week before the zoo closed for the season. Here is my honest review: The building right past where they have the sloths, baby goats, baby emu’s & tortoises - where the Iguana is housed .. is SOOO NASTY!! It stunk so bad we literally couldn’t even go see the poor animals that were trapped inside. It was awful!! I gagged for about 5 minutes straight after opening the door. I seriously wish I could’ve recorded the smell. The lions den and the tigers den.. PATHETIC!!!!! You can see the pace tracks from them going back and forth constantly. They looked very sad & the enclosures are not big enough for ONE big cat.. they have two stuffed in each enclosure!!! A measly Little Rock pile for them to climb on and a stream of water. Some of the animal enclosures were extremely dirty. The poor monkey was going back and forth his little enclosure and all the spots he stopped to sit & look out the poor thing couldn’t see because the glass was covered in filth!! On the plus side, the train ride was a neat experience. The Lammas came right up to you wanting carrots (you can buy feed.) The parrot experience was fun for the whole family too. Feeding the giraffe was awesome. Climbing the overlook tower was scary, but beautiful at the top. We are planning on going back in the summertime in hopes that the animal enclosures are better maintained!!

We visited Timbavati Wildlife Park on Father’s Day and had a great time! Our group included six adults and three kids (ages 3 to 8), and everyone had fun. There were no lines or long waits, which made the day feel super relaxed. One of the highlights was the free animal encounters—we got to go inside the bird and kangaroo enclosures, which was such a fun and unique experience for all ages. We also did the train ride, which was nice for giving our legs a break. It was helpful for feeding the deer and getting a closer look at the rhino, but aside from that, it didn’t add too much. If you’re okay walking, you could probably skip it, but it’s a good option for anyone who prefers less walking. The park itself was clean, easy to navigate, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. We grabbed some ice cream by the lion enclosure to cool off before heading out. All in all, it was a great way to spend a Sunday—and we’d definitely come back again!

We had a VIP tour and it was a blast! We got to interact with so many animals and to learn so much information. It was early in the morning so all the animals were active and so cool to watch. We also did sloth and red panda encounters and it was a unique experience. Our kid got to interact with a ball python and now plays with his plush snake saying snakes are his favorite, so it was certainly enriching for him to visit. All animals were well cared for! Great thanks to our tour guide Lane for amazing time!
Victoria F — Google review
Went to the zoo today. We had both the red panda experience and sloth experience. I can't say enough good things about both. The red panda was the best. Came right across our laps to eat grapes. We were able to easily pet Puck(his name). It was so cool. We also fed the sloths and were able to pet them. Our encounter guide, Nicole was outstanding. Ask for her!!!!! Nicole was so knowledgeable and patient. We would go again tomorrow!!!
Carol J — Google review
It was great to see the animals and an awesome experience to be able to pet the kangaroos. They have the option to buy animal feed for you to feed the animals too. The train ride was cool and it stopped so that the animals could walk up to the train and people can feed them right there and pet them. The parakeet area was pretty cool, you enter into their spot where they are free flying and might even land on you.
Jamie E — Google review
First of all, we got this free with hotel so expectations were low. But given that, it was better than expected, in that there were a wide range of animals. Many looked sad, and I must say I prefer petting zoos with animals suited to cages. And the whole place has a bit of “seen better days” about out. But there really was a wide range - tigers and other big game, goats and birds and other things to observe. Good for families with young kids.
Nachos D — Google review
While some encounters were very enjoyable this place mistreats their animals horribly I would give zero stars if I could solely due to that. Good: Feeding and interacting with the animals is tons of fun. We bought the food box and had tons of fun with the parakeets, goats, kangaroos, and giraffe! It was an amazing experience. The staff seemed very kind Bad: None of the animals had remotely enough room, it’s horrible. I mean I’m talking two tigers or two lions in literally a room so small they can only walk in circles. I didn’t see a whole lot of enrichment items just a few little things here and there. Many of the animals such as the bat ear foxes or the large cats were just repeating the same movement over and over and over for long periods of time which is commonly known as zoochosis and it shows they are doing poor psychologically. This all concerns me. These animals are not being well taken care of they do not have enough space and that is on the owners of this company.

The 90-minute show includes impressive water-skiing performances, daring boat stunts, and entertaining comedy acts.
This place has something for everyone, adults included. The kids though had a blast! Lots of activities to try out and things to learn. Expect to take your time here and go slow as you will miss things if you rush through. The sky bike is closed for the season, but the rest of the place is open for exploring.

Came here 20 years ago when a rainy day kept my family away from the water parks… Yesterday I took my own kids, and was happy to discover this place is still awesome! SO many activities that we easily played for 2.5 hours. And even though it retains its “vintage” charm, everything was clean and well-kept, with only a couple stations that weren’t working throughout the whole 3-building complex. The adults enjoyed it as much as the kids!
Carolyn K — Google review
This place is great, although it does need updates and repairs. I really wanted to give 5 stars, but a lot of the exhibits are really worn out from being used so much. (That’s what happens to things that are loved and used over and over). Some are all out broken. But there were enough hands-on activities to keep us interested for over 2 hours. (5-yr-old granddaughter would have stayed 2 more hours). You could easily spend 3-4 hours if you try everything out. It was a nice outing on the way out of town after time at the waterpark the day before.

This is a pretty great place. Closer to 3.5 stars but not 4. Definitely showing it's age but we had free tickets and the kiddo enjoyed it. Lots of different science experiments with the scientific reasons behind whatever "experiment" you did. If you have free tickets from a resort stay it's definitely worth it to come by. I don't think I would buy tickets however.

Lots to do and learn about here. Great fun for the whole family 10 years and up. Lots of reading and hands on experiences that teach you about science. Bring kids that are eager to learn and patience to read and you will have the best results. The astronaut space lab area was great!

Tommy Bartlett Exploratory is amazing. It’s full of things you won’t see or experience anywhere else. It has several buildings and floors to explore. It’s super fun for the whole family. You can even lift up a car all by yourself while you are there. Try to win a game of Tic Tac Toe. Good luck on that!

Park
Rocky Arbor State Park is a serene 144-acre park nestled in pine-tree forests and sandstone bluffs. It may be smaller than nearby Mirror Lake State Park, but it offers stunning scenery with a 1-mile trail winding through a beautiful sandstone gorge. The park features a campground with 89 sites, including some with electrical hookups, modern amenities like restrooms and showers, making it an ideal spot for camping between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
A stable, mostly flat short loop with some pretty bluffs on the low side and one you make the turn, a straight trail through the woods. If you’re a serious hiker it’s not going to be a good time for you- if you are looking for a leisurely hike in nature- you’ll be pleased. Some of the rocks are nice and close and ready to climb without much danger- if you have younger kids who you want to have a bit of adventure.
M S — Google review
We hiked the trail at Rocky Arbor, which was just over a mile in length. It was not very busy on a Saturday at 8am. Part of the trail was a bit muddy and slightly overgrown, but it was very nice on higher ground. Some stair cases on the trail (careful with a couple boards rotting), one short incline, and there were a lot of mosquitos and traffic from the highway can be heard. Pretty rock formations and trees to look at. There are picnic tables as well as a pavilion, pit toilets, and a playground.
Jenna H — Google review
Not much here. I drove in. Signs talking about ticks. A spot saying trails but didn't really look like much. I thought the trees 🌳 looked pretty sweet though. Never seen trees so thin so monstersly tall. After driving in. Looking around I left. Certainly didn't look like much to hike through. The rest of the park had spots for camping. This is right next to Wisconsin Dells so probably a cheaper alternative to hotels in the area.
Jim — Google review
This is our second time to this state park. We like the convenience of being able to slip away from the busy Dells to have a picnic lunch or stretch our legs. Therr is a nature trail that we did not utilize. The park doesnt have much, some swings, a slide (that was out of order) and a rock climbing wall, but it is enough to spark a little excitement. The true excitement came this last time when we found the coolest mushrooms and a little trail to a cave right behind the bathrooms.
Jamie S — Google review
A smaller State Park, but man what a great hiking trail and probably the most unique office of any of the parks! The main area offers restrooms, plenty of tables and grills, bubblers, a shelter, and a playground. The hiking trail is absolutely gorgeous! High rock formations on one side and beautiful marshland on the other. It's not an overly cumbersome hike, but you do need to watch your footing as there are many roots. I think we kicked and tripped on just about every root there walking while looking up at the rock formations, lol. There were so many weird swirls in the boulders. I suggest adding an informational sign about the creation of these unique patterns. There are two levels to the trail. I feel like the lower level has the better views, but the upper level is easier to traverse. The stairs at the far end are currently broken, so keep that in mind when visiting. Well worth visiting! Great hiking with great views, and a very nice park area.
Nathan F — Google review
This park is GREAT for camping, although it doesn’t really offer much else besides camping. When we hiked the one trail there, and it was not very maintained (it had grown in). If you are looking for a cheap place to stay near the Wisconsin Dells and are willing to camp, this is the place for you. We would camp there again if we wanted to camp very close to the Wisconsin Dells. We did like the park!
Sylvia P — Google review
The landscape and geological features of Rocky Arbor State Park are some of the more unique and interesting out of all of the Wisconsin state parks. The sandstone bluffs along the main hiking trail are a pretty sight to see. It's nice and close to Wisconsin Dells, so if you are in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

After the show, guests have the opportunity to meet the gracious hosts for autographs and photos. This unique entertainment experience is constantly updated with new tricks and techniques to ensure an unforgettable evening of grand illusions.
This was my first visit to the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater and it certainly was not a disappointment. Rick & his wife have such a connection with the audience and his magic tricks are unbelievable. He had audience members join him on stage, including children. I loved seeing the awe and excitement in kids who were just blown away with being part of the magic happening right in front of them. At the end Rick and Susan engaged even further with the audience inviting them to ask questions. It's just a brilliant family show that lasted about 90 minutes. Absolutely loved it.

We are already planning to come back next year with friends!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at the Rick Wilcox Magic Show! 🎩✨ From jaw-dropping card tricks to mind-blowing levitation, every moment was pure magic. Rick and Susan Wilcox are not just incredible performers, but their love and affection for each other shine through, making the show even more heartwarming. 💖 Their chemistry is as magical as the tricks they perform! Having been in business since 1991, this show is truly a hidden gem right here in central Wisconsin. I was absolutely blown away by the variety, the energy, and the sheer talent on display. I can’t recommend it enough! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. ⭐️✨🔥 But it’s more than just a show — Rick and Susan are in the business of genuinely making people happy, bringing light to this world with smiles, and reminding us of the magic we can feel in our everyday lives. 🌟😊✨

We had a great time at the Rick Wilcox Magic Show today 11-29-24, the day after Thanksgiving! My parents would bring me and my brothers to Rick and Susan’s show when I was a kid (a highlight of our summer vacations in the Dells). Now I’m bringing my own kids (along with grandma and papa still) to experience the wonder. We all had an absolute blast and were on the edge of our seats the entire time! So grateful you guys are still performing in the Dells 25 years later! The tricks and illusions were front and center as Rick and Susan skillfully moved from each set to the next. They’ve really stayed true to their craft, and there’s nothing like live, interactive magic especially when it’s done with such precision, theatricality, and timing—pure art! We enjoyed the Q&A immediately following the performance too which really humanized the show even further. Rick spent time chatting with guests and taking pictures afterwards too in true Midwestern “down to earth” form, salt of the earth. Thank you so much, Rick and Susan for a great show today and for the legacy you’ve continued!

Dells of the Wisconsin River State Natural Area is a stunning gorge formed during the last ice age, offering visitors the chance to observe rock formations and cliffs by boat. The Chapel Gorge Trail provides an easy 1.5-mile trek through dense hardwood forest, leading to a secluded beach where picnickers and paddlers relax along the shoreline.
Absolutely stunning rock formations and breathtaking views of nature! This is an experience you definitely don’t want to miss. There are several ways to explore the canyons and river, depending on your preference. We chose a boat tour that included two scenic stops, where we were able to dock and walk through the heart of the canyons—it truly felt like stepping into another world. For a more relaxed pace, there are also horse-drawn carriage rides that take you through parts of the canyon, adding a charming, old-fashioned touch to the adventure. Overall, it was a mind-blowing experience and a perfect way to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Wisconsin Dells.

Wow—what an absolutely incredible ziplining experience with my family! From start to finish, we had an absolute blast, and it was all thanks to our two phenomenal guides, Adam and Rashawn. These two were the definition of top-tier professionalism—courteous, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. But what truly set them apart was how amazing they were with my kids. They made the experience not just fun, but truly magical, ensuring my little ones felt safe, encouraged, and excited the entire time. This adventure has undoubtedly become a core memory for our family—we’ll be talking about it for years to come! A huge shoutout to Adam and Rashawn for making our day so special. Keep up the outstanding work!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exhilarating Zip Line Adventure! Our experience at the Bigfoot Zip Line course in Wisconsin Dells was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, it was pure excitement and adrenaline. Dave and Miguel were phenomenal guides—fun, energetic, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident throughout the entire course. They truly made the experience unforgettable with their humor and encouragement. The entire staff was amazing—super friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. You can tell they all love what they do, and it shows in how well everything is run. The course itself is thrilling, with breathtaking views and heart-pounding drops that will leave you wanting to go again! If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in the Dells, Bigfoot Zip Line is the place to go. Huge thanks to Dave, Miguel, and the whole crew for an awesome time!

We went on a long day trip to the Dells and decided to go zip lining! We had a great time. It took just under 3 hours and we got to experience awesome views of the Dells and the thrill of flying through the trees and zipping above water. I would definitely recommend this place. Our tour guides were Aniska & Stephen. They were great!! They made the whole experience fun and exciting!! Thank you both for a great tour. And Stephen….if my husband ever takes me to Jamaica (I won the bet!) I’ll be looking for you!!

This was such a huge highlight of our trip! We had the most amazing time. I loved that they allowed children 43” since our five year old was pumped about zip lining. Our guides Ricardo and Reshawn were absolutely incredible. They learned each of the kids’ names and really developed a relationship with each person. It definitely takes a significant amount of time, but it’s incredible. They make sure everyone feels safe and infuse a good amount of humor. There are water stations throughout. If you have a much larger group, it takes a lot longer, so you may want to pick a less popular time. That being said, we really bonded with the group we were with. Would highly recommend!

First time zip lining with my 3 daughters, 15, 14 and 11. With a quick instruction course and some waivers signed we were on our way to climbing up some structures to the 7 lines that were included in this adventure. Each line was different and the instructors made it fun and each one different. Even though it started to drizzle we still had a good time. Would definitely recommend.

Alex and Emily were great guides. Very funny and made sure we felt safe. Tiger and Stefan helped as well. 4 girls 11-15 and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend!

We went zip lining with T Jay and Rashaen! It was so much fun! Their banter and jokes kept the entire trip a blast, but their patience with my young kids was SO appreciated. I can’t thank them both enough for such a fun tour guide. The kids are already asking to come back. Thank you both so much!

We absolutely loved our Zipline adventure at Bigfoot on an unseasonably hot end of September day. Our guides Ricardo & Adam make sure we had a great adventure and lots of laughs. Dane and Andre assisted also and we're also great. It was nice having occasional stops where you could get a drink of water and take a short break. I loved the time too discuss Jamaica (I love Jamaica). These guys have many years of experience & will be sure you are safe & feel comfortable with each jump.

The Riverside & Great Northern Railway is a delightful destination for families and train enthusiasts alike, offering an enchanting blend of history and adventure. Located along N115 County Road N, this living museum showcases the preservation of locomotives and passenger cars crafted by the Sandley Light Railway Equipment Works from 1950 to 1980. Visitors can embark on scenic steam train rides that traverse a picturesque three-mile route through lush woodlands and stunning canyons alongside the Wisconsin River.
This is a fantastic place to take the family! We took our toddlers and they enjoyed playing on all that was offered. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff are all super friendly. A miniature steam locomotive will take you down the track and back offering a scenic view through the wilderness. I would definitely visit again if we came back!!
Steven M — Google review
We always have fun doing this every year! The only complaint is that the concession stands need a clear line as we kept getting cut, standing where the line looks like it should start and the concession lady, didn’t bother to care about that. The entire rest of the experience though, always fun and amazing! Train staff are always so inviting and truly make the experience an experience!
Darian W — Google review
If you like scenic miniature train rides this one is a must. Large parking lot, gift shop, and picnic pavilion on-site. Features a 4-4-2 steam and diesel electric locomotives. The cars are small, are covered, and each unit can accommodate 4 average sized people. Train ride runs several miles with interesting geology and nature along the route.
Luke — Google review
->Excellent "real train" ride if your little kids have short attention spans<- All levels of staff (from those working with the train, to the gift shop to the concessions) were all high energy, friendly and knowledgeable. The real (but small sized) steam engines (complete with whistles and hissing, toots and chugs, plus smoke and smells) are a sensory delight - perhaps a bit much so if you're not used to it. A perfect way to get kids "used to" railroads as it's just like the real thing just smaller. Note: the enclosed coaches are the perfect "kid sized" and some less flexible more rotund adults were having trouble getting into them...these individuals might be more comfortable in the open cars. Admission includes a ride and when we rode, a stop midway for the kids could get off and pick up their own little pumpkin souvenir. About 20 min out, the engine turns around and hooks up on the other end (10 min) 20 min back plus a stop for pumpkins or, in summer, a talk about steam railroading. I saw tons of smiles (including on our faces and it's been a long time since we were kids!) Some critiques say the price is high for what you get (2025 prices being adults $20, kids $15) but it's a great experience. Actual track runs close-by (close enough to see) so we saw a big freight train and the Amtrak go by while we were visiting. Iron horse cafe menu/prices and admission prices accurate as of Sept 2025

My son (13) and I were in the Dells for a family trip last week. He is a HUGE railfan and was all in on this railway. Loved seeing a working steam engine and appreciated the explanation of how it operates. Lovely trip through the woods, and the crew even allowed him to help with filling the water tank. :) Grounds are taken care of, nice facilities with a concession stand and gift shop. Not to miss, especially if you're traveling with kids or train fans. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a cute/fun spot to take the family this is it! I recommend buying your tickets online even though they do offer walk ins, makes the process flow smoother. The property itself is VERY well maintained, the bathrooms are spectacular and there are plenty of spots to sit while waiting for your ride. The train ride itself only lasts about 30 minutes but the views are amazing, lots of nature and little animals to find along the ride. The train conductor and helper were very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the trains and how they worked. After the train ride there are little board games to play for the children and lots of picture opportunities!
Brianna S — Google review
Beautiful way to see the Dells! The miniature trains are adorable, and the conductors are friendly and willing to answer questions about the history and mechanics of the steam engines. My husband and I felt it was well worth the time and ticket price.

Hiking area
Chapel Gorge Trail in Wisconsin Dells offers a unique hiking experience, with a 2-mile loop trail leading to a cozy beach by the river. The area is popular for picnicking and boating, but on quieter days, it provides a magical and romantic escape into nature. The trail features rustic elements and ends at a small beach area along the Wisconsin River. While the final descent to the river may be steep, the beautiful views make it worth the effort.
Short trail but very beautiful. Dirt trail perfect for early morning hikes or maybe a cool evening stroll. There are several wood beams creating pseudo-steps to help prevent erosion so not very handicap accessible. If you wanna see the bluffs from the waterline there is a side trail. I only recommend if you take it slow, watch your foot placement, have good hiking boots on or at lease shoes with decent grip.
T P — Google review
The trail is an easy walk (except for the usual roots and stones), wooded & shady, and well-maintained. While I fully support Leave No Trace and encourage everyone to stay on the main trail... there's more to see here than what's on the map. Be cautious. Be respectful.

This is a great stroll through the woods. Some hills but nothing too difficult. Being just a couple of minutes away from Broadway it was so neat to find such pristine wilderness. We'll definitely be back to check it out during all seasons.

Great trail that takes you by the river. There’s a steep climb (for old people:)) to get down to the beach area. Nice sandy area. Otherwise it’s a nice trail

Great place to walk . Give feeling of walking into deep forest. Beautiful trail to hike. Parking is available but expensive and limited in number.
MD K — Google review
Was a decent hike through the woods to a beach. About 1.8 miles out and back. Easy hike. Towards the beach, the trail can get tricky. Nice beach but was packed with boaters. Parking was easy but when we left there were cars blocking us in. Had to wait for people to move so we could leave. Parking lot probably fits 16-20 vehicles. Unpaved. No bathrooms. There are QR codes you can scan to pay for a day pass for parking.
Valerie L — Google review
This trail is calm and easy- I was disappointed that I couldn't go closer to see the water as there were signs up saying not to stray and the online photos of the area had water views
Latisha M — Google review
Easy walk. The woods are nice. The scenic view of the lake at the end is blocked to the public. Very disappointing for the price. The DNR definitely does not let you know at all that the view is blocked and happily accepts it's fees.

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back! The quests were challenging and fun. The design of each space was so cool and interesting! We loved all the secret passages! Some of it was wheelchair accessible, but other parts we had to split up for. We had so much fun!

This place was such an awesome experience! The experience, especially if you are a fantasy lover, is beautiful and cool and fun. My husband and adult daughter were with me. It’s all done on iPads. I do wish there were more instructions before we started, we spent time just trying to figure out how we should start even after listening to the tutorial. I also wish there were more hints available as we seem to not be very smart. Some rooms were very crowded as it is a popular place, if I did it again I wouldn’t personally go on a weekend. It was also warm but I would imagine it’s hard to cool a large building filled with people in a hot day. Snacks and drinks and bathrooms are available while in the experience. I would imagine it’s not very handicapped friendly as there are a lot of stairs and very tight corridors and hidden spaces that were about as wide as my shoulders. I like that you can pause your time while getting food and drink at the snack bar. Overall it was worth the money and very fun!

This has been here for a very very very long time. See it everytime we come to the Dells. This was the first time we came and my daughter was old enough and willing to participate. We had a blast! So sad we came in our last day here. This place needed 2 visits! 2 hours was not enough to get all the quests done, as we were warned when we tried to come in 2 hours before closing the day before. We are so grateful for that warning. The only complaint is that they are stingy with the glimmer. You'll know what I mean when you play. This was an RPG players fantasy come true. Will be returning when we come back to the Dells to complete the other quests (we only finished half). Word of caution.. choices have consequences.

It was an amazing place. So many areas connected in magical ways. Loved finding the secret entry ways and hidden rooms. I wish it was easier to navigate and find anwers to the questions on the tablet. I saw many people struggling in their own group. Overall a cool experience.

My family got bored rather quickly. I'm sure other families think this is great. We solved 3 of about 16 quests and left. The facility and entire concept is awesome. This company has done an incredible job of creating a D&D type atmosphere

You can count on having a great time at Wizard Quest, no matter your age! Our family had a blast searching and competing in the quest. It’s not difficult to complete, and if you do get stuck, there’s always a staff member nearby to assist. A quick note: This place may not be ideal for people who are claustrophobic or have mobility issues, as the quest does require going up and down stairs and navigating through some tight spaces.

Had a wonderful experience with my two daughters here. Two hours flew by and we could have stayed so much longer. A magical experience for the kids with secret doors, whimsical creatures and so many quests to complete. Staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to come back and complete more quests. It was very clean and the overall condition of the place was great. Not a cheesy beat up dells touristy attraction at all. Start with an easy quest first to get the hang of it. Owners really did a fabulous making this place. Kudos.

Miniature golf course
Adventure sports center
Timber Falls Adventure Park is a seasonal amusement park that offers a variety of thrilling attractions. The park features four miniature golf courses set in the shade of pine trees overlooking the Wisconsin River, providing a picturesque setting for visitors to enjoy. In addition to mini-golf, the park boasts adventurous rides such as the Timber Wolf Log Flume and the Hellcat Roller Coaster, which features 12 drops and turns reaching up to 70 degrees.
You are probably trying to decide between Pirates Cove and Timber Falls mini golf right now. If it's hot and sunny, go to Timber Falls, it has significant tree cover and shade, being built in and around forest. Otherwise you can't really go wrong. They both have decent courses. Given that Pirates Cove has 5, ranked by difficulty, if you want to get in multiple rounds and you are a bit more into mini golf or pirate themes, and the weather is comfortable, then that's probably the better choice. If you like forest and river ambience, Timber Falls has 3 courses which will still be a lot of fun.
Christopher B — Google review
Great mini golf for young families! Kids are free with adult up to age 5, which made it a better value for us than other bigger, fancier courses nearby. The “petting zoo” is just a small pen with goats and a donkey, but the kids loved it. Sad the water was not running, but views of the river and the way the course is built around real trees on a real bluff still made it picturesque.
Carolyn K — Google review
Timber Falls Mini Golf: I've been going to the Dells since I was a kid in the 90s and this place has been around even longer than that as it opened in 1989. They currently offer three different courses that are easy, moderate, or hard in terms of difficulty. That's a total of 54 holes as each contains 18. Patrons can choose from a myriad of colorful golf balls to help distinguish them among the different members of your party. The course offers some nice scenic water features. A few sections of the property could use an update, but overall, the property is in good shape. Families can also enjoy the petting zoo, which features goats and a donkey. Pirates Cove is still my favorite, but Timber Falls is a nice alternative and typically less crowded.
Travis ( — Google review
This is one of the most unique mini golf locations we have played, with 3 courses of varying degrees of difficulty woven together in a maze of logger-themed greens that take you up and down and through in fun and creative ways. We did the red course and, based on other reviews, it may be the most interesting, with just the right amount of fun and challenge. There is wear and tear in places but it didn't detract from our play and overall I'd definitely recommend. In fact, I enjoyed it more than the course we played at the neighboring Pirate's Cove.
Crimson S — Google review
We went on 90 degree day (July 3). Lots of shade. No line or wait. Seems like some improvements have been made but overall the experience was underwhelming for our group of 5, with three teens. The holes were not interesting, pretty basic but worked. The main water feature was murky and not flowing at all. It was gross. Another water feature was working and looked nice. Again, we thought it was an interesting experience to golf in the trees by the river but were disappointed at the upkeep. It felt a bit overpriced for what you get. The attached pic is from the only interesting hole on the black course. Too bad some of the trees weren’t cleared for a better view!
J D — Google review
I did not go here but I walked past and saw these flies absolutely obliterating this donkey's leg. I feel that if you're going to exploit the animals and having a petting zoo then you should be taking care of the animals to the fullest extent. The lest you could do is pray them down with animal safe bug repellent.
Jacob B — Google review
Came for mini golf but stayed for the goats and donkey lol 🫏 🐐 ⛳️ This mini golf course is a lot of fun with many different things to se as you progress throughout the course. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They have ice cream cones full of animal feed you can buy before or after you play. This mini golf petting zoo is the perfect combo!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Chula Vista Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless. The service was truly superior—attentive, professional, and incredibly kind. The staff didn’t just provide service—they provided care. Every interaction made it clear that their priority was ensuring our event was seamless, memorable, and stress-free. The space itself is beautiful and welcoming, but what truly sets this place apart is the team. The Chula Vista Team was AMAZING! They exceeded expectations in every way, making the entire event stress-free and enjoyable. From Brooke & Ozlem handling all of our special requests - especially pulling together a last minute Blood Mary Bar! To Lucas handling every IT hiccup with speedy professionalism and a smile! The attention to detail was remarkable. From setup to timing, everything was handled with precision, yet never felt rushed or forced. The team anticipated needs before we even voiced them and always checked in with kindness and attentiveness. It was the kind of service that makes you feel completely taken care of, allowing us to fully enjoy the occasion without worry. The Chula Vista team’s attention to detail was remarkable. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for not only a gorgeous setting, but also top-notch service that makes you feel valued and cared for.

We booked the Sweet Escape package at Chula Vista, which was supposed to include a $100 steakhouse credit and a bottle of champagne. Sounds dreamy, right? Except apparently “sweet escape” meant escaping the fine print. We went to the steakhouse and did their “2 for $99” deal (because who doesn’t love a deal?) only to find out the $100 credit doesn’t apply to it. Totally misleading. We still ordered $70 worth of drinks, so it’s not like they lost money on us. The champagne? At least that part was real—cheers to small wins. 🥂 When we asked to just go back down to the normal room rate since the voucher wasn’t usable, the manager literally sat there crunching numbers like we were asking him to solve a Wall Street merger. Spoiler: it was not that deep. To add to the fun, we brought our son along, only to find out the waterpark and mini golf were closed. Nothing like explaining to your kid that “fun” was included in the package… just not available. All in all, not the getaway we thought we were paying for. We laughed it off, but if you’re booking a “Sweet Escape,” just know the escape part might be from your expectations.

I came her with a group of friends for my birthday weekend. Our check in went well and the lady was very nice. She offered joint rooms, which was appreciated. Pros: Rooms and building were clean and smelled good. 10 mins from food and 15 from shopping (Walmart, Ross, and Dollar tree). The room gave a cabin feel. I forgot to add the ice machine on our floor released a bunch of black flacks. May need ice machine cleaned often. Cons: During our time there we had to deal with a very rude front desk agent (Natalie). My friend's room had outside bugs, bathroom door did not close, heat didn't work, and hotel phone didn't work. We reached out to the front desk and Natalie was present. My friends did not want to move because our rooms were joined. My friend asked for maintenance to fix the issues. Natalie was rude and acted as if the issue wasn't a big deal. Having no heat and items not working in a $600+ room is a huge deal. Maintenance fixed the heat and bug situation. The phone and door wasn't fixed. Natalie spoke to her manager and they gave my guests of 3 two $25.00 dinner vouchers for the following day. Unfortunately we already had dinner birthday plans so we left them. House keeping never came into our rooms so we called down for fresh set of towels each day and tissue. We ran out of tissue on the last day ( $600 & $1200+) room should have daily housekeeping with fresh towels and added tissue. In all we made the most of the situation and still had fun. The other staff were very nice and welcoming. Including the restaurant staff..... The waitress/waiter staff Mel, Lisa, and Blace (Go Saints) were awesome!!!! Making sure items work and reminding front desk staff, they are there to give great costumer service, not to be rude.

We tried this resort out for something new over our usual dells choice. Within ten minutes of being there we realized we made a mistake. This resort is outdated and overpriced. We stayed in August and all of the water area was not open during our entire 3 night stay. The hallways of the resort smelled and were stained. No room service throughout our stay at all. Some of the lifeguards on duty clearly dont enjoy there job. Lots of whistle blowing. Definately not enough to keep our kids busy for 3 nights. I would also like to add I did try to get out of our stay within the first ten minutes we were there and the best they offered was a late checkout. We will never return to this resort again. Do your research before you book with their prices there are better options.
Crystal H — Google review
For the price of the rooms, I thought the rooms were a little run down. They are very large, and have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. This was great. There were stains on the shower curtain and everything just looked like it needed sprucing up. The pillows, which you got 3 per bed, were small and square. Very odd. There was a table and chairs and a sofa in the room. Our table had a chunk of wood taken out of it. Also, our tub didn't drain and we had little water pressure in the shower. We were here for our daughters wedding. We were very happy with everything dealing with the wedding. The ballroom, ceremony and staff were wonderful. Jenny was amazing and came through in the clutch when needed. Kudos to the event staff.

Not the best, but certainly not the worst. This is our first time at Chula Vista and stayed on the hotel side. Room was spacious (Double Queen Suite). No Internet TV but cable works and they even have a DVD player in the room. Beds are very firm and stained on both sides covered with a bed cover without fitted sheets over. No bed bugs which is a bonus, I'd say just very worn. I'd assume the condos are much better but again for one nite, it worked and the kids had fun which is what mattered.
Elyse G — Google review
Decent place for location service magnificently less than par It states that you’re supposed to have daily service for towels and garbage cleanup. You go down to the front desk and they tell you no you have to ask for that. They have letters that are laminated stating that you’re going to have daily service after 4 PM. Basically after 4 PM everybody’s gone so you will not get anything. Please think twice about going to this place because of the service and the way that they treat guess.

Big Chief Go Karts is a popular go-kart destination in Wisconsin Dells, open from mid-May to October. It's a favorite among locals and tourists, offering thrilling rides over hilly terrain and even across a river. The track features uphill and downhill sections as well as sharp curves, providing an exhilarating racing experience for the whole family.
While on vacation, my boys and I enjoyed these go-karts. It was my boy's first time riding go-karts and they loved every minute of it. I believe my 4-year-old was screaming to go faster and having a better time than my 6-year-old. The staff was kind, friendly, and the prices were very good. After we did the Two-Seater go-karts, my boys rode their own go-karts by themselves on the kitty track and had a great time. My 4-year-old was struggling a bit because he was pushing the gas and brake at the same time but as he got the hang of it he started to love it. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you!!

Fun family friendly race track! Riders have to be 55 inches for their own car. You pay per car, not rider. $6 per ride and we went around the track 3 to 4 times. Nice clean bathrooms on site too. Shares a parking lot with Grateful Shed.

By far THE FASTEST, FUNNEST Go Karts around. Amazing course, Karts handle well, are safe, have great acceleration, are very affordable at $6 per go, and did I mention they are faster than the go karts down the road yet? Always packed with lots of people to race against, so you’ll never race alone. My #1 go to when I’m in town.
Andrew P — Google review
Do not let your kids get on this ride. Huge safety concerns. I went on this ride with my ten year old son and we were expecting instruction on what to do and how to start the kart. They started the race without anyone knowing if there’s even brakes and barely knowing how to start the kart. There were no seatbelts. After the race started, one minute in and I look back and see my son on the sideline crying. As a mother, I got extremely worried and didn’t know how serious what had happened was. The staff wouldn’t let me stop racing to check on my son. They just had him crying there on the sideline waiting for the race to end. My son told me someone bumped him from behind and his head hit the back of the cart then the front then another kart hit him again and he flew into the side railing. My son told me the staff were mean to him and didn’t even ask him if he was ok. They were speaking to each other in a different language. The staff did not come to me and explain what happened or anything either. They continued working like nothing had happened. From one parent to others, please do not let your children on these go Karts!! My baby could have been seriously injured and based on other comments, this is not the only kid this happened to.

We love this track but every time we go people are crazy driving these! They need to do better job instructing people that it’s not a race, be nice to people around you and that a lot of families have little ones along for the ride too. Coming in, people weren’t breaking so you were getting slammed from behind, I said to one guy that you need to break - he responded, there are no breaks- really?! There is definently a break and how did you ride not breaking once? We got wiped out while riding too. My oldest two wanted to ride again so I let them and they got wiped out and hit face on. They got one lap in and they wouldn’t refund us. Again the people did nothing!! My son received a bloody knee as well. I wish there were more family friendly go karts in the dells as my kids enjoy it. Only $6 but go somewhere else.
Amanda — Google review
Went two separate days, one at night and one in the afternoon. These go karts are really fun and go fast, plus it’s one of the nicer tracks I’ve seen in the Dells. Tickets are currently $6 but used to be $3. Price raise is unfortunate. When I went in the morning the staff kept letting the same guy stay on the track and go to the front row karts instead of getting back in line like everyone else. This happened multiple times and was annoying as it wasn’t fair to everyone else. If that’s the case everyone can keep riding and everyone else in line can wait for as long as it takes for them to get tired of it as long as staff keep getting tickets.
N/a — Google review
Just like previous reviews say, the staff is rude. They don't greet or speak to you. They signal and point with their fingers. They also don't inform you when you have one turn left. I was bumped into by another guest because the staff don't tell guest when to slow when parking and exiting the karts. They blow a whistle and that's it. Karts are somewhat difficult to control. Staff is the worst part of this place. $6 price is the only reason anyone would come here. Find somewhere else to go.
Jazmin H — Google review
The kids loved the thrill of driving go-karts. However, the value of $6 per ride was very skewed. One ticket, they got 6 laps. The next ticket my daughter spent half the time stalled out after being hit in the rear and her kart turning off. They only got 3 laps on that ticket. I tried to ask the man running the track if he would give my daughter a ticket back and he said no. I was disappointed they didn't give us a ticket for missing half the ride. The last ticket, they got only 2 laps after watching the group before them get 5 laps followed by another 2 laps after an incident on the track. It seemed very inconsistent. Outside of that, the kids had a blast.

Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf is a family-friendly destination in Wisconsin Dells, offering five distinct mini-golf courses and a range of attractions. From the easiest course, Blackbeard's 18, to the medium difficulty Pirates Lookout, visitors can enjoy challenging their golf skills while surrounded by stunning landscapes and water features. The complex boasts 91 holes in total and provides amenities such as picnic shelters with barbecue grills for a relaxing day out.
My wife and I played all five courses today. They are all in good condition. The staff was very nice and they have a nice little gift shop. This was the biggest Pirate's Cove we have been to. We love all of the waterfalls and pirate themed trivia throughout the courses. It's nice they have two parking lots so you don't have to hike up to the top to play the three courses up there. They also have a playground for kids and a picnic area to eat.

We had a great time mini golfing here! They have water falls and multiple course options. We enjoyed our choice! There wasn’t a wait to start and the employees were nice. Their cost is reasonable. There is not much shade at this mini golf course, so make sure to plan accordingly if it is going to be very sunny and/or warm. We would recommend this activity if you are a fan of mini golf!
Sylvia P — Google review
This is easily the best adventure/miniature golf course I've ever been to. There are 5 courses to choose from ranging in difficulty from handi-capable friendly to fairly difficult. There are bridges, stairs and steps on most of the courses so take this into account if anyone in your party is in a wheelchair. The staff is super helpful and accommodating. Have fun at this amazing facility.

The complex has five unique mini golf courses. We've played three of them now and all have really fun challenges and scenery. Some have better shade than others for the hottest days. This is our favorite mini golf in the Dells. We return year after year. Bring your scorecard to the Candy/Ice Cream store next door and the person with the lowest score gets a free ice cream.

Absolutely loved our visit to Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf! The course is beautifully themed with waterfalls and lush landscaping—so much attention to detail. It’s fun for all ages, well-maintained, and the staff was super friendly. Easily one of the best mini golf experiences we’ve had. Can’t wait to come back!
Question E — Google review
We loved playing mini golf here! My husband, daughter and I played 18 holes. The course is just the right balance of fun and difficulty. We went at night, the course is on top of a hill with a great view of the town, especially lit up at night. Beautiful grounds.
M. H — Google review
Pretty fun courses, need a little cleanup due to falling leaves over the course. Free ice cream to the winner if the group was nice. Half price for extra rounds so do not pay for more than one round up front!
Jt O — Google review
My family likes coming to this mini golf place every time we visit the Dells. They have many different courses to putt. Each one has 18 holes and a different level of difficulty. Coming with family and friends makes it so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend coming. If you come during the peak season the waterfalls are running, but not during off season. The courses are still fun even when the water isn't running.

Natura Treescape Resort is a relaxed 3-star hotel located in Wisconsin Dells, just 5.1 km from Wilderness Resort. The resort offers various accommodation options including treehouses, campers, tiny homes, and more for a unique Wisconsin Dells vacation experience. Guests can enjoy free wildlife and water park tickets along with access to indoor pools, sports courts, and cabins. The newly renovated hotel rooms feature air conditioning and free WiFi while some rooms are equipped with kitchens.
I had mixed feelings about going to stay in this resort because of the reviews, but I went ahead anyway with my gut and decided to book 2 different rooms, the first night I stayed in a regular room from the hotel and even though it was clean, the only complaint that I have it was the bed, which was too hard for me, so that was the only bad thing in my review, for the second reservation, we had 2 nights in a mini log home, the smallest they have, but, since it’s just me and the wife, we wanted to experience a mini house to see if in the future would get one, Evelyn was the girl in the front and she asked me if we knew everything about the mini house before continuing with the booking probably because I’m a big guy 6 feet and 315 pounds, I said yes, we had the reservation and everything done, but the wife asked if Evelyn could show us the house before going in there, she gladly agreed and walked us there, showed the unit which even though I could have made it work, it was going to be tight for me and maybe I might have not enjoyed the stay, she showed us also a slightly bigger unit, which had a small patio like outside and a grill, beautiful inside, beautiful outside and even though we had reservations through a third party, not the actual resort, she did everything to make sure we had a comfy stay, she upgraded us with not much of a price difference, but without that angel ( Evelyn ), we would probably decided not to ever comeback, she changed my mind, her service made my otherwise uncomfortable stay turn into a want to comeback soon, thank you Evelyn for your service, your kindness and your warm hospitality, you made my vacation a great experience, if I return I will make sure I ask for you. The other girl in the front was good too, but Evelyn changed my everything in there, so I’m grateful for her🤗

The hotel was nice and conveniently located. We stayed in the adjacent building, and our room was decent and very clean—kudos to the cleaning crew! The staff was friendly and professional, and our stay met our expectations. The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is due to the air conditioning; it had a slightly damp smell, which may indicate it needs a filter change or cleaning. Other than that, we were quite pleased with our stay and the overall value. with our stay and the overall value.

We stayed in one of the "tree house" rooms. We arrived early in the day and got wristbands for the facility but was too early for a room. We enjoyed both the swimming holes despite the awkward layout of the property. When it can time to cleanup before dinner, we encountered four out of the six bathrooms with feces and clogged toilets. We called the front desk to alert them. After returning from dinner, the six bathrooms were not in much better state. In the morning I waited with my kids in a 20 minute line to pee and was also faced with disgusting bathrooms. We camp in state parks, county parks, and private campgrounds, and have never felt such disgusting conditions. Management is off-site and in my opinion absentee. There are some positives to this resort, but the completely inadequate sanitation and absentee management makes this a "never again" for me. Also, the neighbors smoking joints at 10am make this not a kid friendly establishment.
Justin W — Google review
I'd like to say this was a pleasant experience, but this hotel is a dump. I should have paid closer attention to the other reviews before booking. The staff was perfectly friendly, but the hotel itself is disgusting. We stayed one night in the hotel proper (there are cabins, mini houses and campsites, too). The room was large, but had a damp, musty feel and smell, and why on earth would any hotel ever paint the walls brown?! Made the whole place feel dirty. Carpeting felt dirty. Common areas and carpeting were visibly dirty. You can hear EVERYTHING in all the rooms around you. We booked this room because of the included passes to Land of Natura (which was totally awesome, thankfully), but I would never stay here again. $418 for one night. We were 4 people, and had I just paid for the water park passes ($45/pp) and parking at the water park ($40) separately, I still would have paid $200 for this room? This was highway robbery.
Circus M — Google review
AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! This hotel is a very cool concept, however is completely disgusting and I am not sure how they pass health code inspections. I have never wanted to leave in the middle of the night anywhere before. This experience is worse than some $10 a night hostels we have stayed in around the world based on the bathrooms. The room itself was acceptable and the sheets and floor were clean. It would have been helpful to have sign in room about where to get pool towels, etc. We realized when booking our tree house that it would not have a bathroom within the unit. What we didn't realize was that no functioning bathrooms would be available for us to use. The shared public bathrooms were covered in human feces (on the floor and in the trash cans.) ALL of the toilets were clogged and I would not let our kids even walk in there. We called the front desk twice to ask for a working bathroom to use. They said to try the main hotel, but those toilets were also clogged and there was no private shower so we all skipped showers. At this point, I just wanted a clean counter to set my stuff down on so I could wash my face. I asked the (very nice!) front desk girl if she could give us an empty room just to use the bathroom facilities before we went back to our tree house for the night. She said she would ask her supervisor and would call us back in 10 minutes (no call back.) I went back to the front desk to ask again and she said to go the back building behind the tree house climbing and pool area and it should be open. I walked back there and it was dark and the gate was locked (photo attached.) She also said to come back in the morning to speak to the supervisor when I asked for a partial refund since my 78 year old mom had to pee in a plastic bag in the room because there was no working toilet. We went back the next am and surprise, no supervisor. The nice gal wrote down a website for us to email which we did and no response. I feel very bad for the staff who work there. If the management treats their customers this way, I can't imagine how poorly they treat these hard working staff members. It is clear this corporation put all it's money into the Land of Natura water park, but you think with the $25 daily parking they charge at the water park, they could take care of their hotel that shares their name. I am sure I will get some canned response to this review below but take it from me, these people do not truly care about your experience and I will tell all of my local friends not to step foot in this place (not even wearing flip flops----it's GROSS!!!!!)

I really enjoy this resort. I like that they offer free zoo admission and access to the Land of Natura and their other affiliated resorts. The down side is that the cabin i stayed in did not have a restroom which i did not expect when booking and the walls are thin and my tent camping neighbors were SO LOUD. I could hear everything they were talking about at midnight! There were also over 100 flies hanging out outside of out room which was super annoying but this wasn't the case for all the cabins. I would come here again but probably stay in the hotel where there are restrooms and fewer flies 🙃
Kidsplantsandanimals — Google review
Lots of options for lodgings. Our tree house cabin was cozy and fun. There isn't a bathroom in the tree houses but there is a shower house a short walk up the road. Lots of fun to be had and the stay gave us access to a couple other affiliate parks/resorts, as well as a few other perks. It is an amazing place cant wait to visit again! Got a call to confirm arrival and an estimated arrival time, Shortly after booking it on the same day.

We rented a room here for one night which included passes to the timbavati wildlife Zoo attraction which was conveniently located 2 minutes by car from the resort! We would definitely stay here again! It also has an indoor pool which was awesome and their own private outdoor beach with lounging area that has chairs and tables! That was awesome!

We had Jules as a bartender and she is an absolute gem! From the second you step up to the bar, you’re greeted with a warm, genuine smile and the kind of humor that instantly lifts the vibe. She’s got a knack for making everyone feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. No waiting around here—within seconds, Jules has got your drink order and is already making you feel like the star of the show. She doesn’t just serve drinks, she makes the experience. Quick, personable, and always ready with a laugh, she keeps things flowing and fun all night long. Definitely the kind of bartender who takes your night from good to great!

These rooms didn’t disappoint. You can tell the rooms have been updated with all new everything. They are motel style entrances (which normally I’m not a fan of) but, I did feel very safe here. It’s just a few miles from downtown so it made traveling back and forth very easy! These pictures were taken on our way to check out. Thanks for the great stay!

We had a great stay and this is our second time. However, the only thing that bothers me is the situation at the pool. You pay to have wrist bands in this resort, so I don’t understand why if you order food from the bar and they make you eat it at the bar. If you don’t trust people to eat at the pool why are you policing the food area that means you don’t trust the adults to keep the area clean. We also had a bar tender who told us to not bring in our beer which it was sparking water and I understand we have to buy there but the opposite group from us had whatever they wanted in water bottles. There should be signs 🪧 that you can bring in water bottles. Also I think in the bigger cabins you should have bigger refrigerators. Also the cabins need a better staircase as the one in our cabin was coming apart at the top. I love this place though.

We love staying in the cabins!! This year we noticed that the resort is making quite a few upgrades! We were able to enjoy the new beach. We overheard the owners talking about their ideas of adding cabanas, volleyball courts, and more to the beach area. We cannot wait to come back and see the progress. The pool area was lively, fun, and clean. The food from the restaurant was pretty good. We only ordered salads and wings but they were good! This is only a 5 minute drive to downtown Dells. The location is perfect - not too close so you can avoid crowds but not too far away either. We will be back next year!

Stayed in the 5 person house middle of July and seemed really nice at first appearance but, the back master bedroom has no vent in it to enjoy any air conditioning and neither does the second living room. In the middle of July it’s hot and you pay enough that everyone should be able to sleep comfortably. The internet didn’t work for the tvs, and the fridge did not get cold so we had to keep our stuff in coolers. And then when we pulled the couch bed out it was covered in dog hair, dirt, and crumbs…. Gross! Tried calling the front desk but no answer. Totally not ok when they charge enough.

We stopped here to check out the beach before we went home from vacation and ended up staying for almost 2 hours. Small park, but absolutely beautiful and relaxing. I'm sure it's a lot busier on the weekends but when we went on a Tuesday there weren't many people there at all. Definitely worth a stop if you like the idea of a sandy beach by the river.

This is a cool little Park that a lot of people don't know about. It's free and does get a little bit busy but there's plenty of room for everybody. Lots of things to do with River's Edge resort next door also.

This beach was fantastic. The only "blemish" was the million boat tours who drove by endlessly. My kids, however, found that a bonus as they created waves to play in. The sand here is so soft, the water the perfect summer swimming temperature, and it was nearly empty (which is a shame but great for us). The playground right next to the beach, the many pavilions with sunshades, trees near the sand for shady places to set up, and the overly friendly ducks were all a giant bonus. I will happily return to this beach over and over when visiting the Dells in the years ahead.

This was my first time going to Old Abe's old time portraits. Titus was amazing. I have issues with bright lights at times especially from a flash that is really bright. He understood if I needed to take a break in between. He was very professional at his job. Took his time to make sure you liked everything about the photos before printing. So that is definitely 5 stars from me. I was very happy with the outcomes of the photos especially this one that I posted with this review

When we were selecting photos and discussing pricing, I was told the “I Want it All Digital” Package would be $199 + $100 for the additional breakout sessions. Additionally we would receive a 10% military discount before tax was added. However my bill has a random charge of $100 added and then another random charge of $118. So what was supposed to cost us under $300 cost us over $500. The pictures were GOOD. We would’ve paid $500 and thought we were getting a good deal, but we don’t appreciate the blatant lying in regard to the cost. Feels like a bait & switch. I do want to compliment the photographers. We had a large group which is hard enough, but 2 of the young men and the small child were autistic. It really takes a skilled professional to get them all in place and looking at the camera at the same time. Thank you for such wonderful pictures.

Titus and Makaila Really made it a wonderful experience! Makaila Was very accommodating and ensuring that we had multiple pictures to pick from and checked to ensure if there was anything else that she could do in order to make sure that we got the pictures that we wanted. Titus was absolutely awesome. He was very patient and funny And made sure we had all the pictures that we liked, walked us through how everything worked and never made us feel rushed or like a burden. I would deeply suggest coming to this location if you are visiting Wisconsin Dells or if you have not been here yet!

We had such a wonderful stay at Aloha Beach Resort & Suites! The resort is clean, comfortable, and has a truly welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and well-kept, and we loved having both the beach and pool just steps away. The location is perfect - close to all the fun attractions in the Dells, but still peaceful enough to relax and enjoy the lake views. The staff were kind, helpful, and made sure our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. It’s a great place for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be coming back to Aloha Beach Resort & Suites!

Well located hotel. Nice clean beach with plenty of activities for kids. The rooms are just OK. Ours had some musky smell to it, and the carpet was not clean. Like I needed shoes on at all times. It definitely was an older hotel that got a light face lift. But, if you're not too picky than it's worth booking especially since you get tickets to the water park and the zoo. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean. Hotel is located very close to Center of the Dells. I definitely recommend. The staff was very friendly.
A N — Google review
The staff was vert nice but the hotel can use some up keep. The carpet inside the rooms looked a bit dirty and the walls are very thin. I was able to hear conversations from the room next door. There also seems to be a wasp nest somewhere outside of the hotel. I was not able to use the outdoor patio because of the amount of wasps outside. Its a safety issue, especially if there are small children using the hotel. The bathroom in the pool area also did not flush. It seems like something that can be easily fixed but the hotel doesn’t seem to want to spend the money for upkeep.
Viet H — Google review
We had a great experience and would stay again. Just keep in mind this isn't a Hilton, and the price reflects that. The outdoor area is really nice, room layout was good for our family of 5, we had plenty of room for an affordable price. It included the tickets to the zoo in our stay. Honestly when compared to the "other" hotel group in the Dells buying up properties like this, you can tell they put some thought and care into managing this property.

We had a room right on the lake. Comfy beds. Mostly clean. We stayed 5 days. No maid service the whole time. We had to make our own beds & gather our old towels then exchange them at front desk. Pool closes before dark so we never got to use it. Had to plunge the toilet a few times. Thin walls. Under the fridge was disgusting. They should vacuum under there. But the place was overall nice. Being on the lake was so relaxing… and the Location was perfect for us.

Also the wooley blue curl was a sweet surprise and the waterfall in back was beautiful also!

Great place for families to stay as far as amenities. Staff was awesome 👌 Would recommend the facilities putting the extra security door locks that go across the hotel doors inside their rooms. Would feel more safe and had our little 2 year old that was able to open the door and get into the hallway easily.

I booked our room 5 months in advance and received a confirmation email. 6 weeks before my trip i needed to adjust the dates because of work. Again I received a confirmation email. Upon arrival for our vacation we were told they were fully booked and did not have our room and could do nothing for us. There was also NO SUPERVISOR on the property. There was no empathy at all. We were on our own to find another room.

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. My 2 kids loved this place. Its very kid friendly. If me and my Family decide to come back to Dells, will definitely book here again. We loved the indoor pool, outdoor pool and the camp fires. Staffs are great too. Highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful stay! The resort was clean, welcoming, and full of fun things to do. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. Our room was spotless and well-stocked, and the amenities were perfect for both relaxing and staying active. The location was ideal — close to all the Dells attractions but still felt like a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone wanting a mix of relaxation and adventure. We can’t wait to come back!

The only positive I can say about this “resort” is the location is great. It’s close to the strip and prime spots. The resort is dated, dingy and smelly. The grout is black and after showering you can see the dirt come off of it. We somehow got noise complaints even after our kids were sleeping and the kids down the hall screamed and pounded on the floors. The amenities are lacking. Half of the arcade games don’t even work, the pools are small and dirty. They advertise free shuttle to the casino however they said that hasn’t been done in years. You do not get any extra towels. We had a group of 9 people and were given 4 towels. For the price you pay I would just expect the place to at least not smell. Never would stay here again.

We came kind of off season and stayed in one of the cabins at the top of the hill. It was so quiet & peaceful. Cabin was clean, full fridge and stove top with dishes. Only thing was they left 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 nights. Beautiful grounds. Looks like it would also be fun for the littles. Off the strip but close enough to go.

It was a beautiful place to stay, clean and comfortable rooms. They have a walking trail around the building with fire pits every now and then. It is peaceful and beautiful. My wife and I loved it for our 6th anniversary. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here again! 😄

The room was clean, the halls smell like chlorine- honestly not even a big deal. The kids on the first floor will run and aren't policed, which is a little disappointing, but am I gonna knock the business for it? No. Their networking with alot of major activities has a significant price reduction for those activities- highly recommend this place, honestly. Voyager suite was great.

Very nice looking resort but was surprised to find out that due to covid they no longer provide house keeping during your stay nor can you get fresh towels. Our room smelled of mildew and they ask you if your trash gets too full to dispose of it yourself in a larger can the whole floor shares. If you have children it looks like a place they would really enjoy with a playground and cool pool features. Edited to include the wifi is horrible. They say they offer netflix but it wouldn't load on the first floor and that the dryer will need 6 dollars to get your clothes dried. I also forgot about the 8:45 PM phone calls they made trying to get us to pay $15 more for a balcony.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and got us into a two bedroom cabin even before we got there. The cabin was very nice. The only issue we had was that the staircase was very steep and was difficult for my husband to go up and down on with a bad knee. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, and we wished we had more time to enjoy the amenities.

Nestled along the Wisconsin River, River's Edge Resort offers a serene escape from the bustling water parks and attractions of downtown Dells. The lodge features log-constructed units with most equipped with countertop ranges for self-catering. Guests can enjoy amenities like refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots, toasters, complimentary Wi-Fi access and basic cable. The resort also boasts a pool, pub/restaurant, bait shop and boat rentals.
I came here fishing and ate at the restaurant for breakfast and supper. The food is great and service is very good! I also got a few supplies at the bait shop and got the current fishing report. The only negative is not much parking for trucks and boat trailer. If that is a big deal you can park at the public launch right next to the Resort. I will be back again. It also was cool to check out the website and see a live camera at the boat launch. I was able to call my family and wave at them.

Rooms where nice for the price no microwave or mini fridge so bring a cooler with some , they do have grills there to use so bring charcoal and what ever else you use , there was a raccoon in the pool area so really couldn't use the pool area so we just went down to the river which was very nice and cool , definitely will be back in the future

Absolute piece of heaven right on the shores of the WI river. You have the ability to park your boat on the dock or trailer it; they have ample parking. Cabins have a wonderful up-north feel and are spacious and very clean, plus the rates are very reasonable. The service from the bait shop and restaurant are wonderful. When I think of a quintessential Wisconsin vacation, this place is it!

I didn’t stay in the resort but the tubing experience was super fun! Workers were helpful and checked on us multiple times while tubing down the Wisconsin River. We had a group of 18 people and 3 coolers going down the river and we were able to figure out how to connect our group with the ropes that were given to us. Definitely recommend the tubing!!

Nestled in Wisconsin Dells, the Delton Grand Resort and Spa by Vacasa offers a luxurious stay with its range of villas featuring different decors. Situated along the picturesque Lake Delton, this resort provides access to a private beach and stunning lake views from its rooms. Guests can indulge in spa services right by the lake, enjoy BBQ facilities, and even get complimentary entry to Noah's Ark Water Park.
My fiance and I were looking for a place to stay near Devil's Lake. We didn't know the area so took a gamble. This property was awesome. It was right on Lake Delton, so we were able to enjoy the water and paddleboard. We just walked out the patio door. It was quiet!! The building was quiet. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Wisconsin Dells. The room itself was great! It was very spacious. I liked the small refrigerator and microwave. This property would be great for a single person, couple, or family to stay in. We will definitely be going back.

We stayed in a 4-bedroom condo that fit our family of 10. It is right off the main drag and was absolutely lovely. We felt it could have been a bit cleaner (the main king size bed comforter had stains all over it and there were dead bugs). Not a deal breaker for us for the location. The outdoor pool was fantastic and Noah's Ark tickets were included!

We stayed in unit 422. It was clean. Nice furniture. Comfortable bed. However the shower is cold a no way to adjust temperature. The unit is advertised as having a hot tub The hot tub in the common area is broken. Several calls to vaca and they say the local team will address it. They never did. They attempted to fix the cold shower never did. It is supposed to be a non smoking facility in and out doors. We could smell smoke on the back patio and the stench would send us inside. I would not stay here again

The things they show on the website are deceiving both pools are not at the same place and there's no information provided as to where they are everything requires a 10 digit passcode there is no key's considering the price you can find a better place to stay
Chad L — Google review
Amazing location but needs improvement. First, our room keys did not work when we arrived, went back to office for new keys and still did not work. We called the office and the lady was laughing at our situation, then got an attitude when we asked how this would be fixed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the power went out while we were there. Called Vacasa and told them the situation, said they would submit a refund request and never heard anything. Not as nice as it should be for the price

We had a beautiful room with a balcony over looking the lake. The room itself was huge, the extra high ceilings makes it feel even bigger. They have a curved TV which just adds to the room. The sliding door is perfect and if you are up early enough the sunset is gorgeous. Beach and pools were very private and nice. Walking distance to Noah’s ark was also perfect. It is located within 5 minutes of everything we needed.

Although we stayed in early March, I can definitely say it would be worth going back in the summer! The room was so cozy, and spacious. The whirlpool tub was amazing, and made me never want to leave the room. The massage shower was also phenomenal. Overall, we didn't leave our room much other than to go out for food, and also for a nice walk by the lake (which is right outside the patio door). It was a fantastic stay, and I will definitely be returning!
Samantha M — Google review
Such friendly customer service in the office, a beautiful, clean, and comfortable room (we love the surprise of not knowing which themed jacuzzi room we would get - ended up loving our room, very peaceful), and incredible view of lake delton from our screen door. The small beach and provided lounge chairs were a pleasant unexpected bonus, just a quick set of stairs from our room. Such a lovely stay - would highly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic, fun, comfortable getaway. The tub was also larger than in other jacuzzi rooms we have tried, which was so nice. The tub settings for jet bubbles were a little tricky to figure out as some buttons had worn off (maybe a short informational guide could be provided in the room?) but it was a very minor inconvenience.

Birchcliff Resort is a charming woodland retreat that has been welcoming guests for almost a century. Nestled just 2 miles north of downtown Wisconsin Dells, this casual resort offers a range of rustic cabins with private decks, catering to various group sizes. Guests can take advantage of the outdoor heated pool, nightly campfires, and access to nearby hiking trails.
We just got done with our vacation and we loved every minute !! The pool is awesome. A short hike to the beach where we stayed all day was a fun filled day. The last part of the walk to the beach is a steep rocky climb down but I did it with no issue and I am a senior :) The cabin was perfect for what we needed, a little rustic but after all we were camping. We loved the goats they were fun. The donkey was so cute !Wendy is amazing . She was a true blessing about anything we needed. I highly recommend BirchCliff Resort !!!

I normally don't leave negative reviews because I myself am a business owner. However, this is cause for attention. I knew from the moment we made it to this resort that there would be an issue. I didn't want to blame it on our race (African American) because I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt and a chance to prove me wrong. We were frowned upon the moment we set foot on this property. There were no check in or out instructions sent which was the start of the problem or a final billing receipt. Other problems were minor enough not to mention and I sent a personal not public review to the owner just to make them aware of our issues and treatment, which I thought was admirable. However, today I was charged an additional $276 intensive cleaning fee when I myself went through the unit and personally cleaned each room to the point there was not a piece of paper to be seen. We even swept and wiped down counters, bagged all of our towels and trash so the cleaning crew wouldn't have much to do.Granted the toilet was clogged due to a teen being sick but I reported it for no one to respond. They said the carpet has vomit but that was actually from their shower leaking into the carpet which I reported as well with no response. I'm glad I took after pictures to protect not only myself and my business but my race as well because I knew they would try to fabricate lies. It's unfortunate that we have to deal with such treatment when we're paying citizens. I even tipped the staff after being so rudely treated because I'm teaching my youth not to react to such treatments because it's to be expected. I even mentioned coming back with more of my program teens later this summer but now I will go out of my way to inform whoever needed about this establishment. It's quite sad!

Absolutely loved it here! For the price and variety the cabin and property provides I would definitely stay here again! A great way to be close enough to the attractions for easy of access but far enough to feel in nature and not in the middle of the bustle. We were able to spend a lot of time on Broadway because of the location and had the time of our lives. Wendy the manager at the office was wonderful and accommodated our late arrival very well. Store is well stocked and has a plethora of movies to watch. You also will receive a text from a real person about your upcoming stay and provides a really convenient way to ask questions and communicate arrival times and special accommodations.

I booked 3 cabins for a bachelorette trip and Birchcliff completely exceeded my expectations. If I’m being honest the reviews of this place made me nervous prior to check in, but once we arrived I was immediately relieved. The location is beautiful, secluded, quiet and relaxing. Check in was easy, Wendy was awesome and ensured everything was correct with pricing as I was unsure what my remaining balance was because I couldn’t find the email. I booked cabin #9 and two old time studio cabins for 4. They were all right next to each other, close to the pool, petting zoo, and hiking trail. Upon entering the cabins I was so happy with how cute they were. They all had fully stocked kitchens and anything else you may need was available in the office which was also a little store. The cabins were cleaner than most hotel rooms, keeping in mind that they are in the woods and a few bugs just comes with the territory. The fire pits were stocked with wood and Wendy started fires every night. Although we didn’t have kids in our group the entire property was extremely family friendly. There several outdoor activities for kids to keep themselves busy and the entire property was safe for kids to wander around without being worried about safety. I never felt paranoid about keeping my cabin or car locked, which was very nice as someone visiting from Milwaukee. Thank you again to Wendy for everything! I cannot recommend this place enough and I will definitely be a repeat visitor!

Island Pointe Resort offers a serene lakeside retreat with rustic-style cabins and villas set on 15 acres of pine-filled land. The property features two private beaches, a heated outdoor pool, a playground, and picnic areas. The cabins are well-equipped with kitchenettes or full kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, and comfortable amenities. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Delton from their front porch while experiencing the tranquility of the surroundings.
My wife and I stayed at Red Cabin 12 for a week for our anniversary, and everything was perfect. We had everything we needed for a peaceful vacation, and we look forward to coming back. We got to enjoy grilling on the front porch, a nice fire in the fireplace, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Also, Amanda at the management company was very helpful and responsive.

It was a lovely experience. You get to rent out a little cabin away from the city next to Lake Delton. It's pretty quiet and peaceful! You get to have a little private pool area for those who rent the cabins here and you can visit the beach area as well. The cabins themselves are pretty spacious and comfortable for a family. If you want to have some more fun, there are tons of restaurants and activities to do around Wisconsin Dells which is about 5-10 minutes from Lake Delton. I recommend Aquavia Lumina (a night nature walk with beautiful lights and music that play as you walk through the area. Perfect for a family.) I'd 100% recommend this place if you want to get out of the city and enjoy a couple of days to relax in nature :)

First experience of Lake Delton and family of 6 had a great experience. The cabin we rented was a large cabin and it was very nice. Not ultra swanky but charming. Concrete countertops and very nice big fridge and surprisingly well stocked for kitchen appliances and basic kitchen supplies. Super hot water and bone chilling air. It was very nice having a fallback location should weather turn but it was surprising how homey it felt. I would not have been upset spending our week stuck in that large cabin. Will happily go back and I hope we can always afford it.

Best hidden Gem off-the-beaten-path ever!!! Responsive management and not overrun by tourists- if you’re looking for a less-crowded place to stay with its own private pool with 2 beaches where you can bring your boat, this is the spot!!!! Extremely family-friendly and ADORABLE. We stay in unit #51 for our trips to the Dells and it truly feels like our “home away from home.”

Great location to unwind after a day at the Dells attractions. Our group visited the Dells for a family vacation to use the waterparks and other sites. After a busy day, Island Pointe is a 5 minute drive to the back side of Lake Delton where it is much quieter. You truely feel like you are in the woods, with the lake only steps away. The onsite pool was nice also. We rented a boat down at the lake and took an evening cruise around the lake. Condos are log cabin like feel, and have all the amenities you need for you stay. Heading back every summer.

We used to have a cabin that we would go to for our family vacation for a few years and we for sure thought that it would be our place to continue our vacations at. Then we found the Sandrift Resort! This was not only our best summer vacation destination, but the owners are absolutely fantastic! We definitely will be back next year, and the year after, and so on! Linda is just a doll! She is so sweet and she makes you feel like you’re right at home! We will continue our summer vacations at the sandrift resort for many years to come! Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality! This is my Happy Place! The owners are the absolute best kind of people. Their is no place in the Dells that I would rather stay. Hands down.
Anesti T — Google review
Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to meet Linda, as she had a family emergency- but we did meet her son, who was very friendly and promptly addressed our concerns: Ants in the cabin, a clogged bathroom drain, and the sofa pull out bed not going back in. The resort does offer free unlimited firewood, which we thought was pretty cool, but on our first night, we ran out. We tried going to the front office but the sign on the door said "Out for supper, be back in an hour." One hour it was not... The second night though, there was amble firewood for the whole night. The rates at this time of year, we feel, are a little steep for what you get. The pictures are clearly outdated, and the cabin maintenance (at least in this one), seems neglected.. the paddle boats kinda work, and the canoes leak. While the location is very convenient to all of the great things the Dells has to offer, seeing it in person (via a tour, or what-have-you), first, will allow you to form your own opinion, before committing to a reservation. There's always someone available in the office. Cabin #9 (lock and key), from 6/14/24 to 6/17/24.
Gretchen S — Google review
Where to begin?! First of all Linda and Chris are the best hosts. From our first conversation in regards to booking until our departure they made us feel like family. If you’re looking for a corporate type of sell out resort this ain’t it. The rooms are modest, well equipped and have direct access to grills, outdoor tables, games, fishing and swimming. The resort itself is tucked away in a little inlet right on Lake Delton so swimming, canoeing and fishing are secluded to an extent and very safe. Our room had a kitchenette making it easy to cook on site rather than eating out all the time. Each room also has a couple chairs outside which are great to get out of the sun. It’s definitely a family resort and the kids all had a blast meeting and playing with new friends. It is also not very far from the downtown area or the grocery store. The bait shop across the street was super convenient for all of our fishing needs. This was our first time staying here but we will be back! It’s just far enough away to be quiet yet close enough to enjoy all the area has to offer. Not to mention Linda and Chris have many suggestions and coupons for dining and local attractions. Overall, lovely people, lovely place, we couldn’t have had a better time. Also don’t forget to feed the ducks😊

Stand Rock is a significant sandstone pillar with a flat mushroom-cap top, known as the birthplace of Wisconsin Dells tourism. It gained historical importance when photographer H.H. Bennett captured the world's first stop-action image here in 1886. Visitors can reach Stand Rock via the Upper Dells boat tour and take a short walk to witness its beauty. The area also features other rock formations and amenities like restrooms, snacks, and a gift shop.
Got to Stand Rock from the Upper Dells boat tour. The rocks are beautiful, but the "dog show" was a bit off in my opinion. From the boat there is a short 1 minute walk on a wooden pier to Stand Rock. After that it's a couple of minutes walk to the other pier. There is a bit of steep ramp and on the way you can see some more rock formations. At the middle of the walk there is a structure with restrooms, some snacks and a gift shop.

Stopped in at this store this past weekend. My significant other was really interested in a firefighter shirt they had hanging as he's a first responder. He had taken a tshirt off a hanger to see if there was anything on the back of it (as it was folded only showing some of the shirt) while it was hanging up. As we were looking at it the lady behind the desk yelled out across the entire store full of people saying she doesnt want people taking stuff off the hanger, and if he wanted to see shirt sizes then ask her. She had never even asked if maybe he needed help or had any questions instead she scolded him. While he was trying to fold it properly to hang back up she came by us, and hovered around to watch..as he was noticeably struggling, and embarrassed she tells him she'll put it back. He apologized, and then handed the shirt over to her.. she rudely asked him where the pins were that keep the shirt folded while hanging. He wasnt aware of any that were on the shirt used for the folding, and she made the snarky comment about that being why she doesnt want people unfolding anything. I was very shocked and disappointed with her customer service, and we left immediately without purchasing anything. We will not be back after this experience. If she would have approached him, and nicely asked/explained why she didnt want people doing that we would have been completely understanding.

And because I didn't bring money,(due to it being her shopping day), MO was sweet enough to make my day by giving me a free bracelet because I said it reminded me of my deceased father who was in the Navy and never honored.
