Spring Green General Store is a versatile spot that offers grocery items, a cafe with allergen-free options, and a variety of adorable retail products. The store serves up delicious sandwiches and burritos, including gluten-free and vegan choices. It's housed in a converted 1910 cheese warehouse and features an attached retail shop offering clothing, jewelry, groceries, toys, alpaca socks, affirmation pen sets, and puzzles.
This is a hidden gem. The food was amazing. I had an amazing meatless frito pie. The items in the store are unique and fun. If you are in Spring Green, this is a must stop for lunch and/or shopping.

I’ve always loved this general store — it’s such a local gem with a unique selection and a charming atmosphere. I was really excited about what I picked out on my last visit, but the lady at checkout was honestly awful. Her attitude made me not even want to buy the things I had in my hands. It’s so disappointing because I hate writing a bad review about a place I like, but this experience has stuck with me for days. Really hope it was just a one-time thing because I want to keep loving this store.

We choose to eat here before going to House on the Rock. This was perfect!! Love the store and restaurant. This is the perfect store to find a gift for a loved one or to treat yourself!! Put this at the top of your list when visiting Spring Green The food was delicious, and the people were friendly! I ordered the quiche of the day a sausage, pepper and zucchini with Barbeque Chicken soup! I've never had anything like this before but it was fantastic. We also ordered a salad and cream of mushroom soup with rose. Everything was excellent and easily priced.

The corn chowder was fabulous as was the chicken salad sandwich. After lunch, we shopped - such fun stuff! Well selected and good quality women's vacation or everyday clothing too. Was there with a granddaughter, but this is a super lunch spot for couples or a group of friends
Deborah — Google review
A lovely quaint restaurant where I've always had great food, and in addition, a fun gift store to shop. Option of gluten-free bread for sandwiches! And, these staff really know how to make great coffee.
Sue I — Google review
I love coming here for breakfast on the weekends, but the whole menu is tasty. Every time I have somebody visiting in town this is my food spot and they always get hooked after one meal! The service is usually pretty fast, but even without that it's a great place to either just wait at your table or walk around and explore the store.
Omle E — Google review
Fun little place. The food is good. Nice place to enjoy lunch on the back porch and then shop their store.
Judy O — Google review
So quaint and cozy but still had a lovely Saturday morning busyness to it. We got the horse radish radish scramble (really good and just a hint of the horse radish), Jimmy Dean scramble, a quesodilla cinnamon today, tea and coffee and all of it was delicious. Fair prices, quick service, and inside a lovely boutique style shop.

American restaurant
Arthur's Supper Club is a classic American restaurant that has been serving excellent steaks and seafood since 1966. It has a timeless 1960s vibe and offers a menu featuring prime rib, seafood, Old Fashioneds, and surprise items like deep fried cheese curds and crab cakes. The restaurant also boasts a soup and salad bar, as well as live music in the lounge every Friday.
Had a great time at Arthur's Supper Club in Spring Green ❤️ It was a busy Saturday night, but our drinks at the bar were strong & delicious and the steaks were well worth the wait! 🥃🍒 We also enjoyed the salad bar & soup. We can’t wait to come back on the 1st Saturday of the month for All You Can Eat Prime Rib sometime very soon! We’d highly recommend a stop 😍✨
Isabella B — Google review
Arthur’s was my very first supper club experience, and I was genuinely excited to try it all. We ordered the salad and soup combo, I had a chicken sandwich, and my partner went with steak. While the overall meal checked the boxes for a traditional supper club, the chicken was a huge letdown—chewy, wet, and ultimately inedible. I left it behind. Oh and the French Onion soup was the MVP, honestly if I go back I’m going to max out on that phenomenal soup. Unfortunately, the service didn’t help the experience. Despite having a reservation for two, we waited around 20 minutes to be seated. Once we got to the salad and soup bar, there were barely any plates or utensils available, which made things feel even more disorganized. That said, the highlight of the evening was definitely the drinks. The martini and old fashioned were fantastic—bold, well-crafted, and worth coming back for.
Andrea L — Google review
This was our first time here and we'll definitely be returning! Kathy was a very personable and knowledgeable bartender. She made us feel very welcome!! Our food and drinks were great and very reasonably priced. We came up to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary, highly recommended!!!
Jodie C — Google review
The staff was so kind and service was very quick and polite entire time. Our server Heather was great! I loved the ambiance of the place (the bathrooms were also SUPER cool haha), and they had a whole room with a waterfall in it. The food was delicious, my friend and I both got steaks and they were cooked perfectly and the onions added on top were absolutely divine. The garlic mashed potatoes were also super amazing. If I'm ever up here again I definitely plan to come back to this place.
Amy B — Google review
We had an overall wonderful experience at Arthurs for our wedding anniversary dinner! Our server, Megan, was amazing and made us feel taken care of on a special night. Highly suggest the lobster tail, prime rib, and the garlic mashed potatoes. Will certainly go again!
Kelley B — Google review
Great food, service and atmosphere. A true dining experience that brought back great memories. A must stop for a great meal!
Corey — Google review
The food is excellent! I had the BBQ sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes, rolls, and pickles on the side. I also had a large, fresh salad. This is how I remember Wisconsin Supper Clubs, superb food and very filling. The only thing I would change is the decor. I would update the restaurant side a bit, but still keep the Supper Club vibe. Regardless, you should go and enjoy their food!
Shawn O — Google review
Substandard food. Wednesday's special of beef on toast. Was comparable to food I ate in prison. Taters were favorless, beef was dried out and drowned in bbq sauce. Best thing in the box was the string beans which came from a can.

Restaurant
The Shed is a cozy and unpretentious bar and restaurant in Spring Green, offering American comfort food and a selection of local beers. The atmosphere is described as homey, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the town or visiting nearby attractions like Taliesin. Visitors have praised the friendly wait staff who provide excellent service even during busy times. The menu offers a variety of dishes, with past patrons reminiscing about enjoying fresh salads and well-prepared meals over the years.
I did not expect such a good place! We were traveling out in the western part of the state, and just picked this place randomly. And boy were we pleasantly surprised! The appetizers were great, and staff were awesome, and the main course was delicious! It's not the fastest place you can get food, but, it is WELL worth the wait!
Chris B — Google review
We had a wonderful experience here. It was our first time coming to this establishment. Our service was prompt and friendly. The menu isn't too long, which makes it easier to select something. The food was fresh and had wonderful flavor. I had the Philly sandwich and my husband the steak wrap. We would definitely come here again when we're in the area.
Jodi O — Google review
Had the perch for fish fry! Was a tiny bit dry but still had flavor so still a solid 4.5! Our waitress, Bobbi, was pleasant and even offered dessert! Love the metal prints and the open concept bar. Will definitely be back!
Natasha P — Google review
Unfortunately not good food. Nachos were cold, unmelted, and flavorless. Beer battered loaded fries came out soggy and the quality of beer cheese was ick. Old fashioneds were a 2/5⭐️ lacking flavor, but at least they were cheap! We skipped ordering a main even though we were STARVING because the quality of the appetizers was so bad, which I’m glad we did because the burgers on the tables next to us came out looking sad. Service was friendly though and the bar was packed with people drinking, so that’s a good sign!
Jolee E — Google review
Never judge a book from its cover, a saying as old as time. This place has wonderful service and great food! I really loved the small details and the overall esthetic of the bar.
Becky K — Google review
Had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! Even though it was the end of the season and they weren’t serving outside, they still let us sit outdoors with our dogs, which was such a thoughtful touch. Elena, our server, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The food was top-notch—we had the bruschetta, bang bang shrimp, and the hot honey pizza (which was amazing!). The atmosphere outside was incredible and made for a perfect evening. They also mentioned Thursday nights are “local night” with a band, which draws a great crowd. Five stars all the way—thank you for the great service and delicious food!
Tori T — Google review
We were here for lunch on Friday. I had the burger of the week which was a jalapeño popper burger and my husband had the cheeseburger from the regular menu. I had onion rings and he had cheese curds. Both meals were excellent! I also had the raspberry vanilla Martini. Also excellent. I love the redo of the inside, very pleasant place to eat. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Will certainly return.
Pamela F — Google review
Place looks great. Food is very good. Service....if you are going to expect the bartender to work the bar and perform table service you need to correct that. Other servers did not have to do that. Shouldn't have to come to the bar to request drinks, but the bartender was pretty quick on approaching the table to settle the tab for their tip.

Homecoming is a charming restaurant located in a former elementary school building, offering locally sourced and seasonal food with a focus on pizza and handmade pasta. The establishment provides gluten-free options for both pizza and main courses, such as pork chops and New York Strip. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors or in the garden, with the option for takeout as well. The restaurant's owners are also opening a new establishment called Reunion.
Homecoming is a gem in a small town! So fortunate to find this quaint, unique restaurant for a Sunday evening meal. Fresh, local ingredients used. Dishes we ordered came promptly and were delicious. Friendly staff. Beautiful garden setting outdoors. Will certainly return!
Martha A — Google review
Everything was exceptional. Service, energetic vibe, and memorable food. The pork chop was prepared to perfection, tender, tasty and pan seared. The pasta stuffed with mushrooms and ricotta was a grand slam, hit-it-out-of-the-ballpark home run. Thank you for a wonderful evening! Easily the best restaurant in Southwest Wisconsin.
Darren W — Google review
Homecoming is such a special restaurant! I recently had my wedding rehearsal dinner there, and Kyle went out of his way to make sure the night was perfect. We were able to create a custom dinner menu, complete with their wood-fired pizzas that everyone enjoyed watching being made out back, and the food was beyond delicious. Honestly the best butternut squash ravioli I had ever had, and trust me I have had this dish many-a-time. Besides the amazing food, the drink selection was fantastic and the entire staff were top notch. I wished I lived in Spring Green to eat here all the time : )
Kelsi E — Google review
Playing Kenny Chesney outside almost lost them a star especially the cover of Tracy Chapman. The setting of eating outside was splendid. We were there for barbecue night. The collard greens were delicious. My companions loved the Mac and cheese side too. The smoked sausage, ribs, and chicken were all tasty. The refillable eclectic water krafts are nice. The lone bathroom seems inadequate but maybe there are more hidden somewhere.
Mike E — Google review
This place was excellent! A hidden gem in Spring Green. We found out the prices were appropriate for the quality and tastiness of the food. Everyone in our group was very happy with our experience here and look forward to making the trip again.
Tooli H — Google review
We had the pleasure of trying Homecoming for the first time recently. The pasta, wood-fired pizza, and the turmeric chocolate cake we had were all phenomenal. Our hotel told us it’s common to see owners at the SG farmer’s market picking up what’s in season to incorporate into the menu. This place is a gem and makes SG even more special.
Nicole D — Google review
Such a neat place. The food is SO GOOD - obviously made by talented, experienced chefs. It's a different concept in that you do all your ordering at the counter and they bring it out to your table. Grab your own plates and silverware and head outside in beautiful weather, or stay inside the old schoolhouse. The menu changes often depending on what local produce is available but their woodfired pizzas seem to be a staple (at least in the summer time). Picture is their Roasted Squash Toast.
Candace F — Google review
Fabulous food, atmosphere, and service! We were lucky enough to have perfect weather to sit outside amongst the butterfly garden and low-key music. Between the 4 of us we had 2 bottles of wine, 2 cucumber salads, an olive dish, sausage cabbage appetizer, and 3 pizzas. We had leftovers, but everything was great! Thank you so much to the staff for making our first visit so fantastic! We look forward to returning soon and will also gladly sit inside the beautiful dinning room.

Visitors can enjoy camping with friends and family, rent canoes, tubes or kayaks to relax on the picturesque Wisconsin River, and savor gluten-free meals at the on-site restaurant. The resort's location in the Wisconsin River Valley makes it an ideal base for exploring attractions like the American Players Theatre and the House on the Rock.
We had such a fantastic experience here that we’ve already booked two weeks for next summer! Plenty of water fun with tubes, kayaks, and more. We enjoyed walking our dog across the river to the bank for a cool walk. The garbage and bathroom facilities are accessible and spotless. There’s a great dining area for groups, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Their on-site store has a nice selection of goodies. The sites are well-maintained; even with our late booking, we got a pull-through site close to the lodge and parking. The sites are a bit close, but still manageable with our 36' Class A and Wrangler. All the neighbors were friendly, making the whole stay even better.

We Camped here 2x times this summer/fall with our RV. Very nice place that you can tub the WI river from. Not a “party” place but lots of fun to be had. Very kid friendly, but not over run by chaos. They have a very nice, large restaurant/bar on site that has very good food! Can’t wait to go back.

Stopped for lunch while in town. Was blown away with the view from restaurant. Sat outside on a nice summer day. Beautiful place! Food was great. Bar was amazing! Will definitely be back to camp.

We only had dinner there. The staff was friendly and efficient. We liked the menu selections for both food and drinks. Our food good and the view is beautiful.

The rv park is very nice, right on the Wisconsin River. Full hook ups. Wide and level sites with cement patio and picnic table. The staff here is fantastic! Stephanie, the Recreation Manager and Gina, Campground Staff, both are very client service focused. We enjoyed our stay here!

Bad experience with a group that used for years. Ordered medium rare steak sandwich, received a steak sandwich with a black burned color ,literally with no flavor. I am not a complainer normally, but group was astonished when a showed them the steak color. I mentioned it to waitress and was told it was my problem since restaurant policy is not to replace when you take bite out of it. I obviously did not eat, and waitress got furious when I gave a low tip. Our group will never return to Riverside...
Ronald A — Google review
Restaurant and bar offer tasty food and drinks. Campground is clean and orderly with full hookups and summer time activities. I would have given more stars, but the public laundry and bathrooms would be great if the change machine in the laundry were stocked and operating. This is the second year in a row that I went in to shower and couldn't get change. Office was closed. Really a bush league way to run a for profit amenity. I spent 75 cents waiting for warm water. I can run down to govenor Dodge where my state sticker will get me hot showers.

Great prices in this nostalgic Americana themed place. Food was great came out quick and well made. Server was helpful. 10/10 if I could give this place a 1 diamond review instead of 5 stars I would. Truly a hidden gem!
CubaSero S — Google review
It was a good change from the standard chain of fast food burgers. Wisconsin cheese menu. We tried the Merlyn Monroe burger. It’s very sloppy but delicious, it reminds me of in-and-out animal style with the 1000 island sauce and grilled onions but has a tiny bit spicy twist. Really delicious but heavy. The rumble wedges were tasty crusty and crispy on the outside bisce and mushy on the inside with tasty but very light spices, if you get it with the cheese even better they will be fully covered in Wisconsin orange cheese all glued up. The soda floats were delicious, they are quite rare, so we enjoyed them, you can get any flavor ice cream you can think of. Great local spot. With cool outside seating which would be fun for the summer. We came by from visiting The House on the Rock, and enjoyed it.

Neat little place for a tasty burger and a delicious milkshake! You eat in your car or outside at one of their tables. The food was great. Service was friendly. We had the dadd-o and the mommie-o with a bowl of fries and root beer shake. I liked that it felt like a 60s diner but outside! Good ol fashioned music was playing to complete the experience

The servers were excellent and friendly. We arrived with a group of 20 ladies(gave advance notice). Burger (Marilyn Monroe) was delicious and cheesy! Cheese curds were fresh! Decor is exceptional and restrooms clean!

Tasty, classic drive-up food in a quaint restaurant that is stuffed with fun memorabilia. Sit inside with air conditioning or outside under the large canopy. Open grassy area with playground toys makes this great place to let the kids stretch their legs. Loved the made-in-store root beer. Friendly staff. Our family gives it 8 thumbs up!
Jill M — Google review
Cute place and also set up as a drive- in. Unfortunately, my Reuben was a disaster. One piece of shoe leather without any "corned beef" flavor, very wet coleslaw - no sauerkraut, a large slice of cold swiss cheese, maybe a drizzle of thousand island and 2 wet pieces of marble rye. We were told the cook was supposed to melt the cheese but not not cook the meat too long. He got confused. Maybe their burgers are better. Server and manager were very apologetic and kind.
Barbara K — Google review
Great little old school drive in style eatery. Inside the service can be a little slow. On a stop this weekend six of us had burgers, chicken sandwiches and hotdogs. Everything was really good.

I like Culvers for a fresh fast food experience. Didn't have a lot of time, but felt like we needed a salad. Got a couple salads with chicken. The chicken is consistently tender, and the salads are well made up. This location was clean and had friendly staff.

I enjoy my occasional Culver’s however this was our first time eating from out of state here. Every single worker had exceptional customer service, and were so kind. our bugers were luke warm, fries n pretzel bites were hot.... not as good as we are used to, Spring Green, WI needs to do better
Cindy S — Google review
I came in with my family for our weekly family outing. We were all excited, only to see multiple crew members coughing and looking really rough. It was obvious that some sort of bug was going around, but yet the employees were still working. I have 4 kids and 2 under the age of 2, one of them being 7 months. The last thing anyone from my family, or any other family, needs is to get sick because sick employees were not sent home when they displayed symptoms such as coughing, no energy, and struggling to walk. I get being short staffed, but when there is food involved, any sick crew members should be sent home regardless of the situation. There seems to be no responsibility or sense of common sense when it comes to food safety and it’s beyond alarming. Definitely won’t be coming back anytime soon until someone takes responsibility and stresses the importance of food safety. Very very disappointing.
Matt H — Google review
Ordered about $40 worth of food, was handed 2 bags and made the assumption it was all there, by the time I realized I was missing half the order I was already 20min away and would be late if I went back. Contacted customer service and they sent me basically 1 free basket ($10 value). So not only did we not get our full meal, we were insulted with not even getting the correct amount of value for the inconvenience.
Kyle S — Google review
Ordered the flavor of the day, but my scoop was basically vanilla. Just a small swirl of caramel, and no cashews. When I asked for that the person at the counter was super crabby and told me it was on the bottom of the cup (it wasn’t). She then proceeded to dump the missing items on my ice cream as if I was inconveniencing her. They were not busy—she didn’t need to be rude!

Ordered a chicken bacon ranch protein bowl (a salad with double meat) and got a chicken bacon salad with a dash of lettuce. The bowl was also (MAYBE) a 1/4 full, when typically it is touching the top. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I just left after dining in with my mom today. We had sat in the parking lot finishing a phone call for about ten minutes before entering, that is how I know no one had been in there. We walked in, there was no hello, and absolutely no pleasantries from them the entire time. Throughout my order, I tried to be happy and plesant as anyone can be having a bad day. I said my pleases, thank yous, and tried not to ask for too much. I asked for extra tomatoes and they were mostly just right ontop of eachother with big old gaps between, whatever I guess. Then I got mayo, all plastered in the middle towards the crack with about an inch of bareness on each side (6 inch sub, really?) Maybe I am abnormal, but I would like each topping with each bite. Thus, I asked for extra mayo (without communicating the issue, oops!) Well, I got plenty of mayo in the same spot. I said that's all for that one, thank you. Nothing, not acknowledged in the slightest (as per my entire order) So, by my moms sub I was pretty snippy and rude. She got a swipe of honey mustard and a swipe of mayo, is there no inbetween? The lady leaned on the counter while making and (failing to) wrap my moms six inch sub. It was so painful to watch that my mom offered to help. I don't know if she got offended, but she huffed and put the sticker away. Hello? We still needed it wrapped? Im glad that it didnt have to travel, because it wouldn't have been able to. We asked for a bag, and Im not sure what happened there, but it took forever and my mom wound up gathering all the food in her arms. We then searched for a table, but each one of them was dirty AND sticky. What have yall been doing? NO ONE had came in for quite some time, there was only one pickup order made, and I would imagine it took quite some time to dirty each table. We were talking about it quite loudly and had to ask for a table to be cleaned. One of the employees was just standing around, but he did not do it. Instead, we had to wait (understandable though!). Finally, we were grateful to just eat, free of these awful employees. Well, when we washed our hands there were no paper towels in the bathroom either! We wouldve told them nicely so no other customer had to suffer, but unfortunately they hid in the back and giggled for most of our meal (until a new person came in and they had to take their order). It's good to know that they have a personality, just not with us! They were this way with each person who came in, not just us. Unfortunate. Spring Green Subway used to be my favorite spot after visiting my grandparents. In the past, the workers had always been SO kind and the cookies were just phenomenal. Appearantly, not anymore! (the cookies were still pretty good... although they only had two macadamia cookies). I'm bummed out and quite upset with this experience.

The most soggy sub ever and not even put together properly honestly not even eating this one.

1 worker was being bitchy ever since we walked and was not polite at all. Sneezed on my food and when i said have a “good day” when i was getting ready to leave. he just said “ok”.
Holdan G — Google review
I will not be revisiting this subway. The amount of lettuce and tomato they put on a sandwich is pathetic. Isn't lettuce the cheapest thing you can put on a sandwich ? The lettuce was brown and old. It didn't even cover the bread. I asked for more lettuce and the worker hardly put any more. Pathetic sandwich. This used to be a great Subway.
Tyffany A — Google review
I always order and Italian sub or the beast, they got my order wrong and wanted me to pay for another one First, you don't argue with the customer especially when they are a regular patron And instead saying I'm sorry how my i help you,she didn't do that and told me that was what I ordered Never returning there again
Terri B — Google review
Visit 04/04/23 upon walk-in was clean, bathroom not so much. We did get everything we did order but not to order; some of the lettuce was really brown and wilted, staff hardly put any cheese on the sandwich and had to be advised to alternate cheese rather than but two slices of the same exact thing then another two of the same exact cheese. Hardly any lettuce on sandwich, same as pickles, and mayo. I would have to say this trip was a total disappointment 😞 Previous visit 3 months ago: Very friendly environment, staff listens to the customer, staff have no problems making any sub that they have ingredients for. I highly recommend this establishment.

Last Leaf Public House (formerly Freddy Valentines) is a charming eatery located in a historic former bank, offering a cozy atmosphere and delicious gastropub fare. The ornate bar and TVs for sports add to the inviting ambiance. Guests have raved about the incredible food, locally sourced meats, and refreshing drinks like the Cranberry Mule.
We had an amazing dinner at Last Leaf! We had very limited time before our show at American Players Theatre, but the staff was very familiar with that problem and made it work; they gave us menus right away and had us order while we waited for our table, and they kept us posted on the wait - they were all pleasant, helpful and efficient. When we were sat, our food and drinks arrived immediately and it was all very good. Great food options for the GF and vegetarian people and a beautifully restored historic building with a cool vibe. I will definitely be back when I return to Spring Green!

My Wife and I ate here for lunch for the 1st time and couldn't have been more impressed. Great Beer cheese soup and the burgers perfect. Now let's talk homemade fries, BEST IVE EVER HAD! The staff was as cool as it gets and the atmosphere was very comfortable. My only problem was that I didn't get a chance to try everything on the Menu. We can't wait to go back!

Stayed in Spring Green for the weekend and this was our first dinner after 7 hours of driving. IT WAS WORTH IT. Beautiful atmosphere, our waitress was so lovely with suggestions and service. And the food is out of this world good. From the stellar grilles cheese to the catfish special that literally melted in tour mouth!!

This was my first meal in wisconsin on a 4 day solo trip. I agree with their website that they are understaffed but there service was good, I felt taken care of. I had a cucumber cosmo, Brussel sprouts app and their flatbread pizza special. The pizza was amazing. I think also important to note that a lot of the people working there seemed to younger people, teenagers and they were great.

Excellent food and cool atmosphere in a well-renovated old bank. Nice outdoor patio space. Drinks were a tad weak, staff seemed a bit disorganized, and the cook yelling out orders from the kitchen at the top of his lungs (to the point I physically jumped nearly every time) was SUPER annoying, but we'd give it another whirl. Pictured: trout dip appetizer (DELISH), bourbon mule, fish fry, fancy grilled cheese add ham, and sweet potato fries (crispy and flavorful).

The decor is very nice. Historic feel with modern upgrades. The food is really good, blackened salmon was really good. It can be a bit pricey but a good place for a more formal dinner. They have a bar area as well as multiple dinning area's. Friendly staff.

I woke up the next morning and the word brisket was the first thing out of my mouth. We went on an off season Friday night and they were packed. Attentive, genuine wait staff was fast and knowledgeable. We ordered the farm fresh salad and added a protein. We both ordered brisket and it came in a cup on the side. AMAZING! Photo was taken in a very dim lit area.

I was pretty skeptical when we came in, and actually anti-Freddy Valentines when the menu didn’t have cheese curds (my one requirement provided to the person choosing our lunch spot). In spite of starting by having to overcome my admittedly unfair pissy mood, they blew me away. The Reuben was incredible, and the sweet potato fries were so good I can’t put together a description. I got to taste everyone else’s food, everything was great. It’s obvious they really put a lot of care into the food and I’m really glad we stopped there for lunch.

Love local bookstores. Last time in, I picked up a great variety of books from fiction to health and wellness to Great escapes in Wisconsin. The coffee is phenomenal and so is the tea. And everyone is friendly. They serve food and I haven't tried it yet. But it looks really good.

Great stop and good coffee. They had a nice refrigerator section with prepared sandwiches and bottled drinks. We were there right when they opened and traffic picked up quickly. The Bank Restaurant & Wine Bar is a new establishment taking over the historic White School. Formerly known as Homecoming, this energetic restaurant is now called Reunion and is set to open by June 15. While reviews have been mixed, some patrons have enjoyed their meals, with one praising the crispy and juicy pork dish as one of the best they've ever had.
I only ate here once. The online review I read were mixed with the good and bad. However I am pretty happy with what I got. The pork I ordered was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, without the "pork stink". It was among the best I ever had in US.

Riverview Terrace Café, located in the visitor's center for Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's estate in southern Wisconsin, has transformed from a restaurant into a gift shop and gathering place for visitors. The building maintains the remarkable atmosphere of Wright's design and offers a stunning view of the Wisconsin River. While the menu is limited, guests can enjoy good food and prompt, friendly service. It is recommended to book a tour in advance to ensure availability as there are limited activities without one.
I recently visited Taliesin at 5607 County Rd C, in Spring Green, WI and had lunch at the Riverview Terrace Cafe. It was the perfect place to eat after taking a tour of Taliesin. The menu is kept small for various reasons but the selection was enough to find something you will like. I chose the turkey club. It was more than enough for a meal and it was delicious. It came with kettle chips and I got a bottled ice tea. Service was great.
Greg K — Google review
Refreshing and worthy of a visit in its own right as a Frank Lloyd Wright design. The food is a step up from standard and certainly a cut above in quality for the area, standard dishes like a house salad and grilled cheese are made to order.
Ian L — Google review
Limited menu. They did offer a special for FLW’s birthday. They were willing to make some food substitutions on some of their dishes. The server who took our order- it was her first day of work. She was professional and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. The sandwiches and soup were delicious. The mashed potatoes were very tasty. The cupcake was dry, but the amazing frosting made up for it. The Nutella puff pastry sounds more delicious than it was. It was just ok. The caprese sandwich was very messy since it sat in a balsamic glaze. There was no neat way to eat it. There are cookies on the menu but they must have been out of them on this day.
Tammy B — Google review
I really enjoyed dining at this very unique, one of a kind FLW designed restaurant. After a long Taliesin walking tour, I had lunch at Riverview Terrace Cafe. It was raining and the view of the river was relaxing (here in early June). I had an excellent burger and salad. The servers were friendly and attentive. Just looking around at the Wright designed restaurant while eating was so cool!
Socomu — Google review
Delicious salad, generous portion size, very reasonable prices. The river view is fantastic! You order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table. Lots of seating, attentive and friendly server. This was the perfect lunch after my tour of Taliesin.
Martha — Google review
The sandwich and salad was a good lunch right before going on a tour at Taliesin. The chips were a fun little surprise: a light dusting of curry. But - oh man - those chairs are weird to sit in. Claim a window seat if you can.
Beau J — Google review
Wished the menu had stated the turkey was smoked, not to my liking. Had tomato basil soup, it was good but was barely warm. Not sure I would visit again. Not very clear directions to the cafe, had to ask a man in the parking lot. It just said where to go for tours. Nice view of the river, clean and staff was pleasant.

No longer a restaurant. Now it is the visitor's center for Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's estate in the driftless region of southern Wisconsin. The building still retains the incredible atmosphere of Wright's design, now functioning well as a gift shop and gathering place for visitors to Taliesin. The view overlooking the Wisconsin River is amazing.

Probably the closest to a home-cooked breakfast you could get away from home. The farmers scramble was savory with its combination of freshly grated cheese, house gravy, eggs, hash browns and onions. Presentation was beautiful. Definitely coming back next time we visit. If you are staying at the resort or nearby, you MUST try the breakfast here. Staff was very friendly and kind too.

400 Springs Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Dawn and Drew came up with a custom breakfast buffet menu for my wedding brunch that included french toast with a giant bowl of fresh whipped cream and berries, the best bacon I have ever had, sausage links, scrambled eggs, yogurt and granola, and their special autumn hash (pumpkin, butternut squash, acorn squash with apple cider reduction which was HEAVENLY!). The food was even better than I imagined, and Dawn went above and beyond on the day to make sure everything was perfect. We also ate dinner there a couple of times and everything we ordered was delicious. Wish I lived in Spring Green WI to eat there all the time!
Kelsi E — Google review
Staff was lovely, the view was wonderful, and they make theur bread in house!
Cami R — Google review
400 Springs has limited serving hours, but we were there over a weekend so it was open for both breakfast and dinner. I found it a little odd that reservations were required, as the resort was not busy, but that may have had to do with staffing. The prices were a little high (for our tastes) but since we decided to share appetizers, it was reasonable for dinner. The stuffed mushrooms were wonderful - stuffed with cream cheese and sausage that is made in-house. And the crab cakes were also very good - almost all crab meat (as opposed to some others I've had that was mostly filler). Staff was friendly and attentive.
Bea N — Google review
They have some work to do. Dinner service was friendly but quite slow. When our meals arrived, the roast chicken was very good, but the barbecued pork was cold. When I pointed this out, the server pleasantly took it and 60 seconds later it was returned, microwaved. Breakfast was priced reasonably, but they were very under-staffed, so we did a lot of sitting with no coffee or food. Pretty decent buffet.
Jim L — Google review
Sunday Brunch at 400 Springs was spectacular! Pancakes are lighter than air buttered with a custard like cream. My Smoked Salmon Florentine was as wonderful as it looked with perfectly poached eggs on English muffins. They serve the best Bloody Mary ever! The generous slice of cake was incredibly moist and very chocolate. It’s never fast food, but very reasonable. Beautiful and safe environment! Very special!

It was our first time visiting 400 Springs Restaurant. We went for breakfast after a friend referred us and we were very impressed with the whole experience. The restaurant is located on the House On The Rock Resort & Golf Course. The drive to the restaurant takes you through the winding road through the golf course and when you get to the restaurant, you see the wonderful Frank Loyd Wright architectural design. The breakfast menu was filled with several appealing options, the volume of the meals was aplenty, the servers were very polite, the prices were fair, and the food was very good. We looked at thethe dinner menu when we were leaving and that looked amazing too. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Best ribs I’ve had in a while!! Varied selection of sides. The radish small plate went great with the ribs. Everything had just the right amount of salt and spice. Service was seamless! Very glad to have dined here in Spring Green. Highlight of our trip.

I really wanted to love this place, but for me, the food was just okay. I ordered the chicken (white meat) with mac & cheese and baked beans. The highlight of the meal was definitely the BBQ sauce—it had great flavor. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere and service. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and attentive. For those reasons, I’m giving it a 3.
M. R — Google review
I really miss the menu of the previous Reunion but I understand that it was not a viable business model out here in the country… We came in to try the BBQ and overall it is good, but not standout. The dishes are hit and miss depending on what’s ordered. I’d recommend the brisket, German potato salad, and corn salad. I’d skip the Mac and cheese and the coleslaw… unfortunately everything on my plate was bland but my partners selections were great. It makes it hard for me to recommend because based on what you order, you could have an incredible experience or a meh one! Also do watch the prices on the receipt, we were overcharged based on the menu price but they were able to correct it for us without too much awkwardness.
Jolee E — Google review
Great atmosphere in an old bank. We were seated in the actual vault. I had the chicken with vinegar sauce. It was great. The fried potato salad was delicious. I should have gotten it for both sides. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The seven of us had a great time. Sorry for the photos, I started eating before thinking about taking pictures.

Crisp cocktails, great service, and excellent food. The restaurant is converted from an old bank and we loved the quaint details of the space. Staff were attentive, friendly and informative. Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike will find a variety of options and leave satisfied. Please try the lima beans, even if you think you don’t like lima beans! Some other table favorites were the fried potato salad, the white bbq sauce (put it on literally anything), and the collard/pimiento cheese melt. Thanks to the crew for a lovely experience 😊
Julie B — Google review
Everything was outstanding…from the service to the cocktails to the food. We had a party of 4 and ordered the platter with 4 sides. It was absolutely delicious! The brisket was the best I’ve/we’ve ever had. Highly recommend stopping in and filling your belly and soul. You’ll be happy you did.
Geoffrey K — Google review
Excellent, creative food and drink. The Family Traditions cocktail was so, so good! The fried saltines were a terrific idea, and went so well with the pimento cheese and the salmon spread. BBQ chicken was very flavorful, and not dry. And whoever thought up the fried potato salad deserves a James Beard award. My god but it was good. Lima beans were very nice (and kudos for even having Lima beans in the menu!) but needed a bit of salt; an easy fix. Terrific space inside an old bank. The only clunk was the service: my order got bollixed up, but staff were quick to correct it as much as they could. It happens. All in all a terrific place. Well done, folks. It wasn’t the healthiest meal ever, but it sure was good!

Anita's Cafe was a refreshing little treat. Of course I went there for breakfast. The service was great. Our server was attentive and helpful. I asked for her preference between the Badger Griddle and Hash Griddle. She gave me honest feedback on what she thought. Then they had another lady who went around making sure everyone was topped up on coffee. The atmosphere inside was very relaxed and classic. You have like a little diner side right when you walk in. On the other is their little dinner seating area. After asking the server about her preferences, I went with the Badger Griddle. It was amazing. The mixture of the sausage gravy with the cheddar cheese makes for a great combination. All in all, I would recommend this little cafe for just about anybody. It was a nice time out, and cheap for the quality and amount of food.

The place to go for breakfast, especially if you are hungry, as the portions are more than generous. Located right on hwy 14. Fairly large dining room but there are signs warning that there may be a wait during busy times like Sunday mornings, so be patient, it is worth the wait. Picture shows the Badger Skillet, hash browns with bacon, ham, and sausage smothered in sausage gravy and cheese, with two eggs on top. I ate about 1/3 of it and took home enough for breakfast for the next two days.

The menu is a very solid one. I love country fried steak and theirs is top three I've ever eaten. I also do not like pancakes, but theirs have something fiercely delicious going on. Horrible Customer Service The Elder Gentleman has been consistently rude to myself and my wife since we've moved to the area about 6 months ago. Pizza Pit had a week to a private reply and did nothing. My order was simple sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. I drove 40 miles round trip and they even called to verify my order. When I got home it was loaded with onion, very lttle meat and mushrooms. The onion ruined the pizza! Done with this restaurant!

They don’t close until 8 we called at 7:20 for delivery and was told they aren’t doing any more deliveries. You are the only pizza place in town and it is a preseason game night. We ordered last week at the same time without a problem. Nice loss of at least $50

This is a high 4 star, because I like Pizza Pit pizza, others may not think as much on slices, some may have been in the display oven bit longer than a fresh pizza should. It's in a convenience Mart. Some times I stop Maybe a 3 star, but I've had fresh slices out of oven, I'd give 5 star. Today was okay.....

After I placed my order and waited an hour and 20 minutes for my food to be delivered. My food arrived less than sub par. My ham and swiss add bacon came with NO bacon and cost me $9.44 for a hamburger bun sized sandwich with 4 pcs of ham. Breadsticks arrived with NO sauce as well as the jalepeno poppers came with NO sauce! Total amount spent was over $30 for a very disappointing meal to say the least! This comes to me as a surprise as I used to work at this Pizza Pit.

One of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The server was more then kind. Over all nice small town vibe. Definitely reccomend if you are in this area to stop in and get a burger.

Great local bar with friendly bartender and amazing burgers! We stopped on our way through town 💗

Go for the burgers, stay for the atmosphere. Didn't expect so many people at 2 :15 pm on a Monday. Very pleasant place, excellent bartender. My cousin was pleased with her Bloody Mary and we loved our burgers. Generous chip selection & surprised they had a diet decaf cola. Will go again next time I'm in town.
