The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is a historic and iconic building located on Oban's seafront, offering stylish rooms and suites with bay views. The hotel features a chic restaurant, 1882, which serves grilled dishes and local Scottish seafood with vegetarian and vegan options. Additionally, the bar offers a selection of cakes, pastries, and barista-style coffee throughout the day.
The location of the hotel right across the railway station is great. Our room was spacious and very clean and bright due to two big windows. We enjoyed our time in this hotel with the lovely vibes. We also appreciated having 2 facial towels in the bathroom that were changed every day. The joung gentleman at the reception desk was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for that. I wished the ladies were as friendly.

As locals I use the Perle quite a lot and as a tour company we have in the past placed business here. The location is decent opposite the Ferry Terminal, Railway Pier & Taxi Rank (unless you're a light sleeper and it's a weekend , when the noise and craziness happens around midnight). The inside is also nice and comfortable and they recently relaunched the Brasserie which is a nice airy space for dinner (although I've never eaten there). The rooms are also ok but could be better given the hotels 4 star status. Little things like having no fridges in suites and there's a lack of local Scottish design / fabrics. Perhaps the Indian owners could consider that next time they invest in the rooms. My biggest issue with Perle, Oban is the service levels. I've had some very poor experiences here (yet I keep persisting as they've got WiFi and lounge space). Last week I sat in the lounge bar for almost 90 mins and no member of staff engaged with me or offered to make a drink or if I wanted to order anything. There were 2 staff behind the bar and too busy chatting and not actually being directed by anyone to keep the place clean and offer actual 4 star service. There were crisps all under my chair and dirty tables from earlier but these remained as they were. Shortly before I was leave I counted 5 staff in the area (including a mgr ?) and they were also too busy to actually focus on their guests. Personslly I think I prefer Roxy's cafe for the staff , atmosphere a d quality of offering. The Perle needs an enthusiastic leadership team who support and direct the team to deliver great hospitality. It seems unless you go up to the bar and pay for a drink there and then that the hotel operates a 3 star experience. Overall ... nice public spaces very average 3 star service.

Lovely hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite nice. The breakfast was delicious. The location cannot be beat - across the street from the train station and in the middle of the tourist area. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel. Very convenient location. They were wonderful accommodating my older travel partner who cannot navigate stairs. We would happily stay here again. Our suite was very nice.

Returning customer to the Perle Oban - Our first trip with a baby and my parents as part of a double birthday celebration. Each staff member we interacted with was so helpful, kind and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable, and the little touches left for us was so thoughtful. A cot was set up for us before we arrived as well, with extra pillows/towels should we have needed them. We also had the afternoon tea in the Lulu lounge which was very tasty, filling and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Management tried to up-charge and placed guests in small room claiming hotel is full. £800 for three nights is steep for an attic with no breakfast. Ironically my family used to run the hotel (many, many years ago) and would be rolling in their grave. Great location but in need of customer centric management.
Cameron S — Google review
Right in front of the hotel you can not park at hall even to unlode the car ! It's a bus lane/stop! Front entrance doors didn't work so had to fight though the outside table and chairs to get to this small door with our luggage!! Thats after warking from the car park that you after pay £10 aday for which is 3 streets away (#) that's 1st point. Room we got the suite which is the biggest room in the hotel? There was only 6 hangers for 2 people, you could only just but coats in and 2 jumbers, 2 bedside draws only, a small cupboard that my wife put some of her clothes in! Mine stayd in my bag (2). Bed!! well what can i say didn't get a good night's sleep for 4 night, bed was lumpy, it was a big bed but you could only sleep on the ends because of a big lump in the middle(3) Room 214, who ever painted this room' must of got of the street. Breakfast Saturday sent back it was cold, sunday no hot food on!! has something had happened in kitchen?! But no phone call or not under door to tell us. This is a 4 star hotel!! It's was our 30th wedding anniversary only for our day trip and keeping our best foot forward it would been really miserable. As for the cost at £320 a night to have your clothes in your suitcase and not sleep well and Breakfast not up to a 4 star hotel' me will not be going back!! 3 star!! Just to let you know you facing the ferry port which it's first ferry is 6 20am plus other ferry all day and a strong smell of diesel though the day and in the see water.

Guest house
Nestled in a charming Victorian townhouse, St Anne's House Hotel offers a delightful retreat for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. Just a short stroll from local attractions like Purdie's of Oban and Sea Kayak Oban, this guesthouse features bright, country-style rooms that exude warmth. While the accommodations are cozy and well-maintained, guests will find private bathrooms conveniently located nearby each room. The friendly staff is always on hand to assist with any needs you may have during your stay.
The hotel is very well located (5-min walking distance from the distillery, and 10min distances from the ferry). The rooms were very cozy and clean (there's a kettle and tea inside the room). The toilets are not en-suit, however, each room has their own private loo next to the room. Staff very friendly and willing to help. The hotel can provide breakfast for an extra 7£ fee (didn't eat there, so I don't know about the quality, probably a decent continental breakfast). There's also a lounge room to relax. 100% recommended.

Right in the centre room was a bit basic but beds were good and was clean breakfast was cereal toast etc which wasn't my cup of tea but rest of family enjoyed it

Was ok if your looking for basic facilities then it’s fine we stayed two nights lady who meet us was bit rude older lady blondeish hair glasses very smug not very professional and to be honest just looked like she didn’t give a shit unfortunately anyway if your looking for basic room then it’s ok… don’t think I would return

Terrible Guest House. We didn't book this Guest House so the room did not reflect the photos we looked at - we were placed here by the receptionist. The main things to note are the lack of cleanliness and how uncomfortable the bed was. When we brought this to the owner's attention, she told us we could leave! We were also advised she didn't have anyone available to clean the room until the day after. We were there Sun-Wed and the room wasn't cleaned once! In fact, I had to empty the bin myself and wash the cups daily. In fairness to the owner, when I queried where we were to dry our damp towels, she did stick 2 plastic hooks on the ensuite wall and on this occasion the bed was made for us. We were told we had access to a kitchen but when we tried to access this in the evening for some drinking water, it was locked. It should have been telling when the receptionist advised us against taking breakfast in the guest house. The location of this Guest House is perfect - it's not even a 5 minute walk to the centre. Sadly, this is the only positive thing I can say about it.
Sarah B — Google review
We had the chance to get a room there as a cancellation came through. We did not expect much as we just wanted a room not to sleep outside. The room was small with single glazed windows and a loud sheep bed, sheets and rugs. The shared bathroom was not in a good shape (shower head and tube broken, mold and not ventilation) The breakfast was expensive for just toasts and cereals. The landlord was not really friendly as we arrived while she was doing some paperwork. Overall a bite expensive for what it was but it did the job.
Nick V — Google review
Nice, thoroughly clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Gave us another room with very short notice. No breakfast due to the pandemic, but many places to eat within walking distance. Good location!
Maria G — Google review
We stayed two nights, it was adequate accommodation in a good location, don't expect 4 star at their prices, you get what you pay for, clean tidy and I was happy with the use of the lounge beside our rooms on the ground floor, hard to fault at the money, we ate out (including breakfast) so can't comment on the food

Booked this place for myself and my wife for a last minute stay over in Oban. Called the Guest House - to be greeted by the word "hello" - not even St Annes Guest House. Website says and I quote - "You are sure of a warm welcome" Check in is between 4pm - 7pm ONLY Check Out is 10:00am sharp The pictures on the booking sites are generally out of date. Made the trip to Oban arrived at around 18:30pm, greeted by a nice lady who advised breakfast is between 08:30am and 09:30am on a sunday. Ordered the full Scottish Breakfast for me and my wife @ £9.50 per person = £19:00. Settled for 09:00am. Didnt sleep well that night as the windows are not double glazed and overlooks a main thoroughfare for Oban. Went down for breakfast at 08:55am - no one in the breakfast room so waited - 5 minutes later at 09:00am - still no one. Waited until 09:15 - you guessed it still no one to be seen or found Waited until 09:25 - 30 minute wait and still no one. Tried calling the various numbers listed on the multitude of signs in the guest house and no answer. Messaged the mobile number to state what had happened - to get a very empathetic reply of "sorry about that, we will refund your card". Which I though was lack lustre, a call may have been nice?. Upon reading the reviews this is not the first time that this has happened - where customers have paid for breakfast and not received what they paid for. Later that day I called the lady and got through - I asked what had happened about the breakfast, very dismissive and unapologetic - when I said I expected something for the inconvenience when I had to travel elsewhere for breakfast she laughed at me. GREAT SERVICE - AS SAID DONT JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT - READ COMMENTS ABOUT THE LANDLADY FROM OTHER REVIEWS. The room was basic, some of the lights did not work - bulb need replacing. Electrics next to the bed - room 5 - were by way of an extension which was dirty. The bathroom was via going into the main hall way - not shared bathroom - but bizarre set-up. THE WORRYING PART - THE SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE ROOM WAS COVERED WITH TISSUE AND TAPED IN PLACE. THIS IS A SERIOUS BREACH OF FIRE REGULATIONS AND HEALTH AND SAFETY. This was reported to Oban Fire and Rescue Service. If you do read this review, dont just take my word for it, read the other reviews. To NOTE : this is the same owner as Arbour Guest House Cherrytree Cottage Glengorm Guest House If the landlady is reading this here is my recommendation. 1) Move to an island in the middle of nowhere and do not interact with human beings its not your skillset. 2) Get the Smoke detectors unblocked as you are putting LIVES AT RISK. Guest house
Barriemore in Oban, Argyll is a charming 3-storey townhouse situated on the seafront. The Victorian property offers comfortable guest accommodations with stunning views of the bay or woodland. Guests have praised the Bayview rooms for their comfort and beautiful vistas. The location is ideal, providing a short walk into Oban Town, known for its lovely shops and restaurants.
We had the most wonderful 3-night stay in Oban at this hotel. The room was large, clean and the whole interior of the building looked very new and well looked after. Even though we booked a non-seaview room we had partial views of the sea which was lovely. There was tea, coffee, caramel bars and even Irn Bru and sherry provided in the rooms, and a mini fridge with a large bottle of water. Fresh fruit was available in the morning which was a nice touch. There was a large social room and conservatory with tables, extra provisions, bike storage, microwave. We were lucky with the weather so could sit outside on the front terrace with our takeaway dinner. Free parking was available at the front of the property, and the location was perfect for visiting Fort William, the Glenfinnan viaduct, and getting the ferry to the Isle of Mull. We did notice a noise in our room on our first night which disturbed our sleep (we have sensitive hearing and are light sleepers!). This turned out to be a temporary issue with the central heating. Once I informed the owners, they were quick to respond and so helpful in finding us an alternative room so we could sleep better. The hospitality was really above expectations and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Big thank you to Mark and Jan, we hope to visit again in the future.
Emma L — Google review
We absolutely loved our visit, and we absolutely loved our stay at the Barriemore. Marc and Jan are gracious and helpful hosts, and they will help you to maximize your time in this beautiful city. Our room was immaculate, and so comfortable. We slept Barry, very well. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Booked a last minute stay for only one night. We were in awe of the room and location. Harbour views (with provided binoculars to spot incoming vessels). Clean, spacious room. Communication was excellent and thorough. Check-in was simple and efficient. Recommend!
Sharon M — Google review
The bed is sooo comfortable, there's a nice selection of teas. I like the drinking water glass bottle and the lack of reception (makes no fuss). When I did need to contact the property they responded quickly. There's a lovely lounge to sit in with dog beds for pet owners

We recently stayed for a couple nights - Oban was our favourite stop on our trip around Scotland! The hotel was lovely, clean, well kept, and in a great location. It’s just a short walk along the water into the town centre. Check-in was easy and well described. We also really appreciated the package with the helpful details provided about local spots to visit. We’d happily stay here again.
Nicole U — Google review
We spent 3 nights at the Barriemore in Oban. The room was as shown in the photos and as described. The amenities were a special touch and plentiful. We enjoyed watching the ferries and boats come one and out of the bay during the day. And, the proprietors were very communicative, helpful, and full of ideas on how to best enjoy the area.

Wonderful guest house. Large spacious rooms with a comfortable bed and armchairs in the room. Beautiful shared longe spaces, with a lovely area at the front where you can sit and people watch or enjoy a drink and the view over the water.

They really have thought of everything! They provide dog beds and bowls for guests’ pets. The kitchen area has everything you need and the rooms are very comfortable and welcoming with a wee sherry and added extras to add a nice Scottish touch! Would love to go back again

The Kelvin Hotel, located in the heart of Oban, is a simple yet cozy accommodation option. This eco-certified hotel offers comfortable rooms with amenities such as flat-screen TVs and coffee/tea making facilities. Guests can enjoy the convenience of free parking and complimentary WiFi. The hotel's central location makes it an ideal base for exploring Oban and its surroundings, including nearby attractions like RSPB Visitor Centre and McCaig's Tower.
Stayed two nights with my grandson received a very friendly welcome. Room very clean & comfortable. A short walk to the prom, railway station & ferry port. Continental Breakfast was reasonably priced with a good choice. Owner was incredibly understanding when I explained that my G’son had special dietary requirements even going so far as to offer to cook for him if need be. Thank you so much. Would definitely stay there again.
Pauline B — Google review
The building's a bit dated, but the rooms are very clean, the beds are super comfy and the staff were lovely. Great view out over the ferry terminal, but it's quite loud, which might bother folks trying to sleep past 08.30. Overall had a good stay though.
JennaBeelack — Google review
The best place to stay in Oban. Sheena and her staff go overboard to make you feel welcomed. I’m actually sad leaving the Kelvin because I feel like I’m walking away from family. Great wee lounge and bar, plus you are a stone throw from the train station and ferry dock. It’s absolutely the perfect location. While they do not have a lift the staff was amazing helping people take their bags up to their rooms.
JJ M — Google review
Cosy, friendly hotel in great location very handy to town and ferry terminal. Sheina was extremely helpful and informative as well as accommodating our various needs. The bar is comfortable and has a good friendly atmosphere. We would certainly stay there again.
Roscoe T — Google review
Great service and rooms. Location is very close to everything, especially the ferry and bus routes. We had a great time in the bar. The building is old and has a lot of history. The owner has done a great job to keep the old character while renovating certain things to make it more comfortable. Highly recommend.
Andrew M — Google review
Are you tired of faceless online bookings where service is a wifi password and keyless entry? Me too. Fortunately, the Kelvin Hotel is neither of these things. The charming proprietor greeted me warmly, and saw to every detail of my stay, with recommendations on local food, live music, parking, and fun things to do about town. She was kind enough to lend a forgotten umbrella, and took the time to make coffee in a French press when the machine in the breakfast lounge took a turn. The hotel's location is ideal, as it's within walking distance of the lovely downtown harbor, and guest rooms have recently been updated. Mine included a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. Be advised that the residence is across from the ferry docking station, so there is some outside noise after 8 AM, and that the building is without an elevator, which may not suit some visitors. Already planning my next visit!

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The owner and her team were very friendly. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The little bar in the hotel was great with some board games to play. Would definitely stay again!

Kilchrenan House is an elegant Victorian villa originally built for a textile magnate in 1883. The classic rooms offer modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and WiFi, and guests can enjoy a complimentary Scottish breakfast. Visitors praise the comfortable accommodations with lovely views of Oban Bay, delicious breakfast options, and helpful hosts. The location is ideal, just a short walk from town and close to the ferry terminal.
We stayed here prior to our boarding a small cruise ship for a tour of the Scottish coast. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was ideal for walking into town and the view of the sea was serene. We had an issue with trying to cool our room. The owner immediately sent someone to take care of the matter and offered to move us to a better room. I discovered that the room temperature matter was due to my not understanding how to manipulate the safety locks on the windows. The staff took full responsibility for our comfort. I was very pleased with all aspects of our stay.
Captain C — Google review
We had a great stay. The room was perfect. We had a room that had a foyer with a dresser, refrigerator and tea station that was separate from the bed which was awesome. The room was cool and comfortable and they replenished our tea service and coffee each day including thoughtful details like OJ and a cookie. Our room was at the top of a long flight of stairs, so make sure you're comfortable with that before booking. Oban is very walkable, and the esplanade is a great place to stay.
Ruth A — Google review
We had a wonderful stay at Kilchrenan House. The location is amazing. Walking out the front door, you see the lovely view of the water and can walk the promenade to get to anywhere in Oban. Our room was small, but spotless. The shower was hot. The in-room biscuits, oatmeal, and tea were just right before we went out for a day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again!
K M — Google review
We stayed at this beautiful Kilchrenan House over the weekend (April 11-13, 2025). The very new owners, Andi & her husband has JUST taken over from prior longtime owners Frances & Colin Davren. We stayed in room 5 which offers an amazing view of the sea, a fireplace (we didn’t need it as the weather was gorgeous!), spacious bathroom, king size bed as well as coffee, tea, orange juice and biscuits. There is no breakfast but there are many places to eat nearby. Parking is ample and free. Andi and the 2 staff members we met were so very welcoming and warm. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had every thing we needed. We would love to go back to Oban - ferry over to Isle of Mull and Iona on Saturday was an experience we enjoyed and would recommend. Loved Costa Coffee and we enjoyed talking with the owners. Perfect accommodation to stay and explore this charming area!
Janice C — Google review
Very nice room, in a convenient and quiet location, with all the amenities one might need. Even though breakfast was not provided, the room was well equipped with everything needed to prepare a light meal or drink every morning. Nice experience overall!
Ioanna — Google review
Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location at the quiet end of the promenade. On site parking was great. Book room #10, you won't be disappointed! Our room was huge, immaculate, super comfy 4 post king bed, large sitting area in bay window looking out at the promenade and bay. The bathroom was huge and updated nicely. Very friendly check in from host. No breakfast, but loads of options in the area. We enjoyed watching the ferries come and go from our sitting area. We stayed only one night as we were catching the ferry to Mull the next morning and were sad to leave our amazing accommodation. A great base for exploring the area and we would definitely book again if in the the area. 10/10!

This is a great place to stay in Oban situated almost at the start of the esplanade with sea views and ample parking. The staff are friendly, discreet and efficient. The guest house is exactly that and does not offer any facilities beyond a common room - but if you want comfortable accommodation near the cente of Oban this is ideal. The rooms are very well appointed and if you need room service you only have to ask. There is no reception as such but information on how to contact the manager is posted at the entrance.

Glenmoore Guest House in Oban offers a warm, clean, and comfortable stay in the heart of the city, just an 8-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The host is welcoming and easily accessible. The rooms are basic but provide good value for money. Some rooms may have minor issues like a smoky smell or squeaky doors, but they offer amenities such as large baths and electric showers.
We stayed here recently prior to catching the ferry to Tiree for the festival. Lovely homely place. Lovely welcome. Rooms were clean bed was mega comfortable. I left my hair straighteners which they kindly posted back to me. Great value for money. Highly recommended 😃

The minus side: The house is on the main road which is very noisy (until 11pm and starting around 6am) and particularly our room (#6). Also, the mattress is not the best in town. The plus side: City parking is free between 5pm and 9am. The peers and restaurants are by walk. Cleanliness of the house and room are top.
Denis B — Google review
Good location close to the piers, town centre and a farmfoods opposite if you e forgotten any toothbrushes or similar! No parking, although that was made clear when I booked. There is a carpark nearby that does allow overnight parking. I was on the top floor I suspect, which I was pleased about as that meant I was away from the majority of the traffic and pedestrian noise (got to expect that in a town though!), but just be aware in case you have a tonne of luggage! Check in was easy and even though the owner wasn’t there in person, he sent me a message to make sure I could check in okay and to assure me he was at the other end of his phone should I need anything . Room very basic and could do with a few minor touch ups, but there was a coffee tray (most important), working TV, plenty of towels, drawers and hangers for clothing, although I expect this guesthouse is used for one night stays for people using the ferry terminal like myself, so I didn’t need to use these. Comfy bed and pillows and was perfect for my one night stopover on Oban. Many thanks!

Needed a double room for overnight stay in Oban as we were arriving from a ferry from Tiree around 11pm. We chose this one because there was a late check in. Two friends we were travelling with were also arriving at the same time as us and had booked a twin room there. We were greeted on arrival and shown how to use the room keys. He was friendly and helpful. As we were leaving at 9am the next morning and were shown the key drop in box in the hall. Our room was two floors up at the front of the building with a small window in the corner of the attic room. The window did not open fully but there was a fan in the room.No en- suite but we had access to our own private bathroom on the landing. Tea and coffee making facilities in room - kettle. Bathroom was adequate but felt stark and a little unloved. Our room was small and basic. Would not have liked to stay here in this particular room for more than one night as this guest house is on the main road into Oban and traffic is noisy at the front of the house. Definitely a place for a basic, low frills room to sleep for the night.

Tiny tiny room, barely big enough for one person and luggage, a real struggle for two. Parking is a night mare as it is on a one way super busy street. Very few street parking spots, we ended up a block away. That was fun, dragging suitcases through uneven, crowded, busy streets. NOT. Don't know if the guy who runs the place knows this, but we found out the people from the guest houses get a discount at the Scots Hotel when they go there for breakfast! They are just a few doors down the street He didn't tell us, we found out by happy accident. BTW, the buffet breakfast is amazing there 😁 Anyways, few other disappointments were....super hard bed, no shampoo and very creaky floors! Good points, close to the water front and good restaurants, nice guy greets you at the door, and he will help you up to the room with your bags.

A good basic option if you're a single traveller looking for a sub £40 a night room only rate. Clean..tidy and does what it says on the tin. It's located right on the main road heading into town but my room is tucked away at the back so no noise at all. Also it's nice and warm..ideal in December.
Selkie T — Google review
We didn't expect much and yet we were still disappointed. Rundown, shabby but not chic, no staff present at all. The only person I saw was when I checked in (check-in times very limited) and she was both unfriendly and unhelpful, a winning combination. The room was bare, the bedlinen didn't match, the curtains were hanging off the rail. The pillows and mattress were uncomfortable, the towels were at least present and I take that as a bonus. The shared bathroom was usable, but tatty. 'Breakfast included' was as basic as you could imagine, with the cheapest of ingredients. I would definitely say more of hostel than a guesthouse, but at £99 for one night? Hardly a bargain! We definitely would not return to Glengorm or any of the other 3 'Victorian Villas' in the same sad row......next time we would be much more organised and book well in advance so this wasn't the only option open.
Julie S — Google review
A very affordable, cute B&B that was comfortable to sleep in. The hosts were really kind and provided some special treats since my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. The downside is that the walls felt thin (I could hear people walking outside the room) and the rooms are quite tight. However, considering the price, I didn't care too much.

Failte Bed & Breakfast Oban is a charming B&B housed in a beautifully restored Victorian home. The cozy rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Guests rave about the delightful breakfast spread featuring an array of cheeses, fruits, breads, jams, and various hot dishes. The comfortable beds and immaculately clean rooms make for a pleasant stay.
We were originally meant to stay in October but due to a storm we couldn’t make it and the hosts were very helpful in rescheduling. We stayed for a night in March instead and had a lovely time. Thomas is extremely friendly and welcoming and let us keep our bags in the B&B before check in and after on the second day. The room was immaculate and really nicely decorated and included a helpful folder with everything you need to know about Oban. Breakfast was made fresh and delicious and there were loads of options to choose from. All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Oban!!

Such a lovely experience staying at Failte! The room was super comfortable, Thomas and his wife thought of every amenity. And the view out the window was beautiful. We looked forward to the delicious breakfast each day-- the homemade yogurt and fruit was a work of art.

I have travelled 8 times to Scotland and stayed at beautiful BBs. However, Failte is one of the very best. Failte is Gaelic and means Welcome and that is exactly how how I felt during my stay. The room is spotlessly cleaned to the max. Thomas is a great host and everything else is very good. Hope I can return sometimes in the future. Thank you Thomas!

My wife and I spent 3 weeks touring Scotland and Ireland, staying in guest houses all the while... Failte was by far the best! Thomas is lovely and has thought of everything... comfortable bed and crisp sheets, cozy breakfast room with table linens and AMAZING food. Even the music was perfect. Couldn't recommend more. Thank you. Jason & Sandra

Thomas was such a kind host and the breakfast was ideal. We had to arrive late due to weather/traffic issues but it was no issue for Tom and we were so pleased at the warm welcome from a weary day. The front garden is beautiful and it’s in a perfect location. Really pleased to have a mini-fridge available as well as a carafe of water. (I was surprised at how many hotels didn’t offer this basic amenity.)

Loved staying here. First off the breakfasts are wonderful. Cheeses, fruit, breads, jams and your choice of a full Scottish, eggs Benedict and other dishes. I looked forward to my breakfast time every morning. The beds are so comfortable! We had the family room and had the whole floor to ourselves. The climbs from Oban to the B&B is a great workout. Our hosts were also wonderful and the space is very clean and welcoming. Thomas made sure we had a little jug of milk for tea right when we checked in which I appreciated. Would totally stay here again.

„Failte“ means welcome - and that’s exactly how we felt! Thomas gave us such a warm welcome and the room was already warm as well! Everything is so decorated so lovely and full of details, the bed was comfy and everything was clean! The breakfast is delicious and you can choose between several warm and cold and sweet or salty things! We would recommend the B&B to everyone ♥️
Theresa G — Google review
We spent one night at Failte B&B and wish we could’ve stayed more. The whole property is immaculate, wonderfully decorated and has a homely feel. Even though we stayed in the smallest “budget room”, we still loved it. Bed was super comfortable and the size of the room did not mean it wasn’t properly furnished. Thomas was a great, friendly host, who really cares for his guests. Breakfast service was wonderful with plentiful choices, from a full scottish breakfast, fruit, cereal… Location is great, just a few minutes walk from Oban’s main promenade. Definitely recommend staying here and I wish we can come back some time.

My short stay at Glenview was great! The owner,Morven and her family were lovely. She most kindly accomodated me in an emergency situation. Clean, comfortable and quiet. My pretty room was WELL worth the rate. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. A short walk away from the train and ferry terminal. Tesco and Aldi are conveniently close by too. This is a pleasant change from the popular branded hotels, it's by no means modern but it's got a homely feel about it, you feel welcomed to stay here. All the amenities required are there, little notes to aid you are dotted around, the bed was comfy, although it creaked we slept very well. A 15 min steady walk to the centre, off road parking and a lovely breakfast. The host is a kind, wonderful lady who keeps it simple, asks what time you want breakfast and is their anything she can help you with your stay. We stayed 3 nights and was sad to be checking out, had a really nice stay.

Lovely room. Really comfy bed. Shared bathroom was spotless. Lovely quiet street. Nice wee touches in the room such as tea, coffee, hot choc, biscuits, irn bru, milk, orange and apple juice. Caroline was very friendly at check-in. I felt very comfortable and safe here. Definitely recommend!

A 10-15 min walk from town. No parking in site, but parking a short stroll away at Pulpits Hill. Nicely decorated room, liked the colour scheme. Normal size kettle, comfy bed. No hot water from tap, couldn't get the sink plug to rise. Small basket with cereal, Iron Bru and crisps with milk, orange juice and yogurt in fridge. The room/bathroom needs a better clean in places. Overall would stay again, booking directly to get a good price.

The venue is up a gradual slope, being around a 10 minute walk from the town centre however the view of the harbour during the walk is beautiful. Being close to the pulpit hill viewpoint makes a nice trip being only a couple minutes walk from the venue. Carolyn was very welcoming and seeing me as a female sole traveler, made me feel very safe and gave me suggestions for the best places to visit. The bedroom was perfect and although it is a shared bathroom, which I was nervous about, this proved to be no problem at all. The cute little breakfast selection and variety of refreshments were just lovely. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Oban !

The location is very close to a very nice viewpoint and the center of Oban on 10 minute walking distance. Rooms were clean and the beds okayish . These are the positive notes. The negative notes are on the somewhat 'commanding' and thus experienced as a not so friendly reception by the host. The breakfast (not the best we got in Scotland) is served on the room which we also found a strange experience. Would not go there again.

Great stay overall. Owner was friendly, engaged, and gave helpful local recommendations. Breakfast was good, and coffee was very nice. Rooms weren’t perfect—slightly cold and not the cleanest—but still decent and good value around £130 per night.

The place sits on a hill overlooking Oban and the host, Tony, is very accommodating. We asked to switch from a room across the hall from the bathroom to one with a private bath and he did it right away There was hot and cold breakfast served in the morning. A very good stay.
Fred M — Google review
This is a guest house with off street parking, as parking is hard to come by on all the narrow streets. Tony was a very friendly host, who welcomed us in and gave us all the info we needed. The room itself was on the small size and we struggled to get our big suitcase in. The bathroom was quite big though. The bed was clean and all the surfaces. Just a bit of dust on picture frames and the heater in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, a self service buffett and continental. We paid £130 for 1 night.

We had a wonderful stay at Glenburnie House! Graeme & Dan are lovely and welcoming hosts. We stayed in gorgeous room 4 with a beautiful view over the harbour! The house is full of charm, beautifully maintained, and has a calm and friendly atmosphere. It’s just a wee 10-20 minute stroll into town along the shore. Out of all the places we stayed during our week in the Highlands, this was by far our favourite. If we ever come back to Oban, we’ll definitely return to Glenburnie House. A real gem – can’t recommend it enough!

The view from the room was 5 star and this will be a memorable place for us.

With its proximity to Dunstaffnage Castle and Kilmartin House Museum, it serves as an ideal base for exploring Argyll and the surrounding islands.
Simply fantastic! Although we didn't met the owners until we checked out, they made sure every part of our stay was just as WE wanted it. The whisky welcome-tray in the room was especially nice. The whole place looks like the renovations were just completed last week ... the place is spotless and very well maintained. I especially loved the details in the stair-railing leading up to our room. We had a bay-view room on the top level, and is was worth every pound and pence.

Don’t hesitate, book it. Beautiful views. Short walk to the heart of Oban. Super clean. Tastefully appointed. There’s nothing I could say against this place. We didn’t get the breakfast because of our schedule, so I can’t comment on that. My wife and I played a fun game as we walked back after dark. I read the one-star reviews of the hotels we passed, most of which charged more than the Witchwood House.

Such a lovely stay in September 2025. We were in room 1 with a view of the beautiful bay with ferries crossing and even a (really big) cruise ship. The bed was comfortable, both bedroom & bathroom were immaculate, and the Inn is very quiet. Iain was incredibly responsive and kind. Would have loved a couple extra towels including a flannel/washcloth and breakfast was very basic, continental. The booking system employs a messaging app which didn't email us the check in information so we weren't quite sure what to do, though another guest brought us up to speed. Strongly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay!

What a lovely bed and breakfast. We stayed in the deluxe sea view room and it was beautiful. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, great shower, and we had a wee nip of scotch left for us , which was such a nice added touch. We could walk easily to the little village area with restaurants and shops and Oban Distillery. Waking up to sit and watch the sea with our coffee was such a nice experience. Breakfast is continental and self serve but if you want a hot breakfast there are places close by.

My Husband and I booked a room at Witchwood House for our Honeymoon, and are very glad that we did. Self check in was simple and straight forward. Communication from the hosts was timely and accessible. The room and the view were an absolute highlight of our trip! Parking was extremely convenient, and everything you need is Oban is a lovely walk along the promenade away. We would gladly stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Witchwood House. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. My husband said he never wanted to leave, which is high praise! The room was very spacious with lots of little touches that made it feel welcoming. The owners have put a lot of thought and effort into creating a positive guest experience that surpasses expectation. Price is reasonable especially for convenience to downtown and beautiful waterfront views. I would 100% recommend Witchwood House for your stay in Oban.

Witchwood House was a surprising highlight of our trip to Scotland. The location could not be better. Incredible views over the water. Very close to downtown Oban. Fine Italian restaurant next door. Plenty of parking for hotel guests. The house retains the charm of the old building but with a modern touch. All parts of the building that we saw felt luxurious and well thought-out. Check-in was super simple and we didn't need any help from the staff for our entire stay. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room for two nights. The room was the second floor room with large windows overlooking the water. It was beautifully decorated with dark green painted walls and geometric wallpaper. There were generous offerings including bottled water, tea and coffee, a marshmallow biscuit, and a very well-received decanter of whisky. The ensuite was perfect for our needs with good water pressure and immaculately clean. The room was quiet and private. The value for cost is very good for this room. I think the experience at Witchwood House depends a lot on which room you're in.

Guests can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep in serene surroundings while benefiting from thoughtful touches like breakfast packs and snacks provided by the friendly owners, who ensure your stay is enjoyable even amidst COVID restrictions.
This is a wonderful guesthouse just outside the Oban town centre! My wife and I had a brilliant stay here recently. Being on the north end of town, we had great access to the coastal walk up to Ganavan Sands! The room was beautifully decorated, bringing the seaside to all aspects of our stay. It had a comfy bed and good shower/ bathroom. The staff were really friendly too and although they did not provide breakfast at the property, provisions were provided and plentiful (juices, porridge pots, cereal bars, fruit)!

Had a fabulous stay, everything we needed. Very clean, rooms well equipped. Car park across the road so no dramas with parking. Central location. Edna was extremely helpful, nothing was a bother. Unfortunately on the way home our car broke down. We contacted Edna who was so accommodating. Gave us taxi numbers, allowed us to use the guest house and facilities until we got car organised. Even helped with the organising re collection of car. She was amazing!. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Edna.

A beautiful location. The rooms were perfect, cosy decoration with many details that show the pride taken by the owners in their villa. We were so comfortable there, it felt like home. We also enjoyed our evening in Oban. A lovely experience overall. Highly recommended.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with lots of thoughtful amenities (including a bag of snacks!). The owner, Edna, was very pleasant and easy to communicate with. We only stayed one night, but would have loved to spend more time here!

A very comfortable welcome, after a very long drive up to Oban after work. Spotlessly clean, very neatly presented and great beds. Key entry gave us access straight through the house, up the stairs and into the room. Very happy with our choice and also with Oban.

Loved it - were sad that we were only passing through and didn't have much time to enjoy the b&b. Well decorated, clean and comfy rooms; great location; ample parking nearby; friendly staff who even called us to make sure we were okay when we were late to arrive.

If you ever go to Oban, stay there! The owners are very friendly and even with Covid regulations and restrictions made sure we were well taken care of with a nice breakfast and helping with information and tips. The room was very well decorated and maintained, good shower as well, All silent in the evening so no problem to sleep. Highly recommend and will stay again if we're ever back to Oban!

So far so good. Nice cozy small rooms close to city center. 15 minute walk to the ferry and train station. It's self check in and checkout, no one at the desk but if you need help it's only a call or text away. Nice little lounge on the first floor where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Not a place for those who can't climb steps as there is no lift.

The guest house was clean, the contact we had with the owners was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and exactly what we needed. The refreshments in the room were over and above what we expected including a cafetiere and ground coffee as well as instant, with various teas available, both black and fruit.

This was amazing. Julie was there when we arrived and gave us our key. I got a twin room for my son and I. Room was perfect, lovely, freshly painted. Parking at the back of the hotel is free and I was able to leave my car there after I check out. Location is perfect. 2 minute walk to the pool and 2 minute walk to the cinema. Reasonable price. There were other residents staying but I never bumped into them nor did I hear them. It was almost like having the house to ourselves. Will hopefully stay again

Rooms were dated. It’s old and needs urgent upgrading. If you are looking for modern living standards, this is not the place. Instagramable? Definitely not. And no kitchen facilities. Not suitable for families.
Uncle888 — Google review
They took money twice on my account and told them about it. No apology and when we arrived, we can’t find the key outside as per instruction so we need to wait until they look for the key and opened the door. Breakfast not included. In fairness our room is clean and in good location. But taking money twice plus another instruction to put cash payment inside the little letter envelope is too much. I didn’t put cash as they got my acct details online.

Room was clean and tidy....but the tv was old and no hdmi input for a firestick and very small, properly ok for holiday makers no good for contractors
Simon C — Google review
The location of the guest house with respect to the city was great and we were happy that walking to the Oban Distillery took less than 10 minutes. We booked 3 rooms; two doubles (rooms 1 & 4) and a family room for four (room 6). The rooms had TV and private parking is available in the back. The couple that runs the guest house was so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this as a good value.

Warning - Got ripped off We stayed two days with my girlfriend in May 2017. Everything seemed good until we discover tenant charged us twice! They never accepted we paid by card and asked us to leave money in the room. Apparently, after all, it was to swindle us. Back home we realized that we got ripped off since they used my credit card securing our stay to charge me a second time. I have picture proving I paid but they keep denying. Scotland is a beautiful country with lovely people, it would be too stupid to waste our stay with such dishonest tenant.

The guest house Adelphi Villa is a unique place where you can enjoy a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. It has a garden with a swimming pool, a wellness area and private parking.
The room was clean and the bathroom was updated and nice. George was very friendly and welcoming. Great location, just walking distance to Oban city center. They had on-site parking which was great. Definitely will stay there again 😃

Loved this place. Great location easy walk to town. George greeted us when we arrived. He explain key places to visit and eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Monique R — Google review
We arrived early, but George invited us to park up and book in anyway. Lovely room - stocked with tea & coffee, fridge with bottles of water, yogurts & milk. Fruit & muffins also included. Comfortable bed, and nice en-suite. George was a really welcoming host, and provided a map with places to go/drink/eat. Perfectly situated for a stroll into town. Would definitely book here again!
Andrew C — Google review
Plush carpets. Fridge in the room. Decent bed. Quiet backstreet, though well located within minutes walk of the north pier. Hard to fault actually. Oban is inherently hilly so anywhere off the seafront is inevitably going to be up some sort of hill. The street it's on is very narrow, and reversing into the parking space needs to be done carefully, but I managed it twice. There's no actual breakfast as such, though they do leave you some edible stuff so even if you don't feel like a walk in the morning you won't starve.
Michael ( — Google review
This little place is so cosy and immaculate. Our bed was so very very comfy with NO expense spared on the quality of bedding and towels . . . Completely worthy of 5 stars all round. Will ABSOLUTELY stay here again as we are regular visitors to beautiful Oban.
Karen M — Google review
Adequate comfortable central accommodation. Not so welcoming as other similar places and beware that 'breakfast included' means a poor quality mass-produced muffin, banana and yoghurt that you have to eat in your room. I would not stay here again.

Nice and quiet. On a side street about 100 yds from the city center. Hostess & host very nice. Room was clean, well appointed, a good size with ensuite toilet & shower. Only issue is no cooked breakfast available, only fruit, cakes etc. and DIY tea and coffee.

We loved Oban and would stay longer another time!. The guesthouse has good and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was wonderful. The location is easy to get to. We did take a taxi from the train station when we first arrived because it was uphill and we were tired. Only 4.80. The owners called one for us when we left because of the rain. Great place.

I have stayed here for the last 25 days while I was working in oban. Andy the owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The b&b 2 minutes work from the high street and 5 from the train station and ferry terminal. Highly recommend here if your visiting oban

Great location (quiet) and there's a parking lot right beside that's paid, but overnight is free. The room was very spacious which was great. It wasn't the cleanest. There was some sand/grit in my bed, but just wiped it off. The one double bed was great and comfortable, the twin mattress felt very old with the springs and the centre really caved in, good pillows though. As far as a one night stay, it did the job. TV worked well, WiFi was strong, amenities in the bathroom are a nice touch. Can't speak to the breakfast as we hit the road early.
Alexia L — Google review
Friendly and welcoming, clean and tidy. Room was well presented, with tea and coffee facilities, also towels and toiletries. A complimentary continental breakfast was available each morning, however if you wanted a full cooked breakfast this could be ordered at extra cost. The room was made up on request and stock was replenished as needed. Location was easy walking distance to centre and main attractions. Wish they did a evening meal option or had a table set in room to be able to eat in. Would highly recommend and will return.

Worst stay I’ve ever had at Scotland B&B. Was overwhelmed by a STRONG CHEMICAL SCENT coming from the bed linens likely from detergent, softener, or some synthetic fragrance spray. It was so intense it felt like someone had poured a whole bottle of stinky perfume onto the bed. Despite trying to air out the room and attempting to sleep for two hours, I eventually gave up at 2:30am and went to sleep in my car.. FOR THE HOST - strong synthetic fragrances aren't just unpleasant they can trigger headaches, nausea, and even disrupt hormone or reproductive health. That’s why many places around the world are now adopting Zero Scent Policies to protect guests from unnecessary exposure to harmful chemicals. FOR THE PROSPETIVE GUESTS - I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially those with chemical sensitivities or anyone simply wanting a restful night of sleep.

Fantastic breakfast & clean room! I have stayed at this accommodation before as it was clean & affordable however it’s improved dramatically from the last time under new management. Nestled in a charming Victorian townhouse built in 1881, Roseneath Guest House offers an enchanting escape with stunning views of Oban Bay and the picturesque island of Mull. Located just a short stroll from the bustling main shopping area, restaurants, and transport links, this delightful B&B features eight cozy rooms—some with en suite facilities—and off-street parking for added convenience. Guests rave about the warm atmosphere and genuine Scottish hospitality that Sarah, the owner, provides.
As long as your into older homes revamped for modern technology (which is, frankly, common for B&B's), you should like this place. Host was kind and helpful, breakfast was great. Only complaint is parking with a full house, it may be hard to get your car out. However, this was not an issue for anyone I'm aware of, and it's otherwise not a huge issue since most attractions are within walking distance.
Lee D — Google review
Sarah is a lovely host, even with an abrupt welcome with many details all at once upon arrival. After a day of traveling, this welcome was a bit overwhelming. Sarah was very helpful giving details and suggestions for the town, and even offered a telephone for us to use. I have a gluten allergy and Sarah went out if her way to make sure I had breakfast, including gluten free bread. Overall, you will get what you pay for and this is an okay guesthouse, not sure it is a 4 star stay. The "upgrated seaview room" was dusty and didn't feel clean. The bathroom was dated and the toilet was very loud. Overall it served its purpose and was a bed to sleep in. I would not stay here again. In our 2 weeks in Scotland, this was the worst place we stayed, but we have been spoiled with amazing Airbnb stays. I haven't stayed in a place so questionable since my youth hostel days years ago. Tldr; pros: cheap, close 5 minute walk to downtown, nice host. cons: dated, dusty, felt dirty.
Heidi S — Google review
We had a really lovely stay. Roseneath is a beautiful building with an incredible view. The room we had was a twin which had a separate living space, it was very comfortable with good quality bedding. The host is what made the trip so enjoyable, she advised us on places to go and was so friendly to chat to. When we were leaving she had made us a little cream to keep midges away (knowing we would be camping). We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Only on my first night of five night stay in Oban stay but I am in love with this guest house. My room is a great size, ensuite and cosy with amazing views across the esplanade and shore. Looking forward to my first breakfast in the morning and ordering the blueberry pancakes later in the week.

Without a doubt the best b&b I ever stayed at. Sarah - the owner - makes you feel more like a guest in her home than a simple costumor. This is not a hotel - it is a warm and welcoming piece of heaven. I stayed here with my boyfrind. We got a room overlooking the harbour and nearest islands. The view is simply breathtaking. The room itself was abosolutly stunning. Sarah makes your breakfast herself to your order. The full Scottish is wonderfull, but I also highly recomend her blueberry pancakes. :)
Simone N — Google review
A beautiful building in a beautiful location, very close to the town centre. Sarah was a warm and welcoming host who provided as much as she possibly could. The beautiful home-painted artwork around the house was a lovely addition. A touch of modernisation in the room wouldn't go amiss, but all in all a wonderful stay.

I absolutely loved this friendly beautifully located guest house. I had a clean, wonderfully presented room. This place is literally 2 minutes from town, a short walk down hill, and very accessible to the port and sea food dinners! Sarah, the owner, manages this home from home very well and she is a mine of information and local knowledge. I'm looking forward to another visit soon.

Comfortable bedrooms within 5 minute walking distance of the main streets of Oban. Very friendly hostess, who provides an excellent breakfast, with many choices. Free wifi, visible from your room. Killorn Guest House is a beautifully refurbished historic property offering luxurious rooms, a library, whisky bar, and a garden with stunning views of the Isle of Kerrera. The owners are attentive and provide helpful local knowledge for check-in and parking. The immaculately clean guesthouse features tasteful decor and comfortable bedding. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms with lovely bay views, while the convenient location allows easy access to Oban center and the ferry terminal.
Stayed at Killorn Guest House for two nights and enjoyed it immensely! Super quiet, very clean, both in the room and the en suite, well appointed and maintained, especially when compared to other accomodation/guest houses in the area. Also very easy access to the ferry terminal, the railway station, the town centre, and walking routes (as well as a shopping park including a Tesco and M and S food hall close by). While there is no breakfast provided, we were pointed in the direction of several places providing breakfast in the vicinity, so all was well! Would definitely recommend also for extended stays!

We stayed in the Mull Room and it was super comfy and the view was incredible! The hosts made checking in and getting into the room super simple as well.
Jane J — Google review
We stayed three nights at Killorn. Prior to arriving, the owners kept us up to date with check-in instructions and local knowledge like parking. They were also very happy to be contacted at any time should we have needed it. The guesthouse is immaculately clean and well decorated, presented, and tasteful. Our bedroom was on the top floor with lovely views of the bay, the room was compact but cleverly arranged to make it feel more roomy. The bedding and the bed itself were supremely comfortable. Whilst there is no wardrobe in the room, hangers are provided on hooks, and there is ample drawer space. It was a bright and light room with a really good bathroom and shower. Despite its location near the ferry terminal and train station, the guesthouse is in a quiet end of town, and the activities did not disturb us. While we chose not to have the continental breakfast, the dining area looked spotless, spacious, inviting, and very neatly set out. The owners have a keen eye for detail and clearly make the effort to ensure you enjoy your stay. While there are no staff on site, those that we did meet in the course of housekeeping were invariably welcoming, cheerful, and professional. They were interested in our opinion about the guesthouse, and it was evident that they cared about what we thought and always enquired if there was anything they could do to enhance our stay. There is no parking on site but ample space in the nearby surrounding streets. While initially sceptical about staying in a guesthouse with no one on site, our concerns were assuaged by the preemptive thoughtful touches of the owners. Overall, it was a great experience, good value for money and we'll be sure to return.
Helen — Google review
We stopped in a room called Lismore on the first floor. Everything in the room was in excellent condition - it all looked newly done, however there were two negatives. Firstly the room was quite small and secondly there were people in the room above and every time they moved around the floor boards creaked very noticeably.....it kept us awake!

We’ve just returned from a two night stay. We were greeted with a warm welcome, our room was spacious and clean, the breakfast options were good and food tasty (although a few more Scottish additions to the full Scottish breakfast would be great - haggis and some local butcher sausages). The location is fantastic and the garden is lovely. The guest house is only a ten minute walk from the train station and ferry port and it overlooks the sea - amazing views. Good value for money. This was our first international trip during this pandemic. Simon and Anna made the booking process so easy. The place is awesome, great location (free parking is a plus). The breakfast was so good and you get plenty of options daily. Welcoming tea/coffee was a nice touch after a long drive from Edinburgh. We highly recommend the Old Manse. Hope to come back sometime in a future.

Had a 3 night stay at the Old Manse. On site parking which is a big plus, we have stayed in hotels in Oban where you have to first find and use pay and display car parks. No need for that here. Only 5 minutes walk into town centre where there's plenty of choice for eating and drinking . Love that there's plenty of fresh seafood everywhere. Yum yum! Greeted by Simon who made us very welcome. We where in room 2. Great size room with en suite. Fantastic views of Oban Harbour. Tea coffee and biscuits in room which are replenished daily. Also a wee decanter of Sherry, nice touch!! Breakfast was cooked by Anna , cooked to order with plenty of choice and absolutely delicious. Very friendly hosts who always had time for a chat. No hesitation booking here anytime we are in Oban.Totally recommend.

What a wonderful bed & breakfast at a fantastic price. Simon and his wife were absolutely delightful hosts, not to mention incredibly interesting people with great stories and laughs. I mean everything was delightful -- the view from the hill, the breakfast, the old rooms, the old boom box in our room with Scottish classical music CDs, the hosts. Importantly, they have an area for you to park for free (hard to find in this town!). The location is perfect. Just a short, charming walk down the hill to the center of town.

A guest house in Singapore with great views of the city skyline. Located in Tanglin village, it has a wide variety of amenities and services to offer its guests. It is known for its amazing and panoramic views of the cityscape from many of its rooms and balconies.
I stayed in the single room and it was very cozy. Everything was provided: tea, towels, wifi, and a good shower. The owners were very communicative and fast problem-solving. I also loved the deer & tartan decoration! Location also great, Oban is a small town so pretty much everything is close!

Reasonably priced b&b, nothing too much trouble for the hosts, loads of luxury items, plus hairdryer, iron/board. More than you'd expect from a budget guest house. Ample free parking and ideally placed for the centre of Oban and the surrounding scenery. Loved it.

Appalling customer service. i had to cancel a room booked for 27 May and received an email from them saying they could refund the cost if I cancelled the booking and they resold the room (although I accept that was not the original terms of the booking). I cancelled the room, they rebooked it, but over several phone calls and emails, as well as a face to face discussion at the guest house in Oban, she has still only refunded £30, not the £70 we agreed as a valid compromise. She has not honoured a written agreement and I find her customer service appalling. do not book this guest house unless you find this treatment and breakign of a written agreement acceptable

Excellent little guest house with all the comforts you need. Overnight parking very close, three minute walk to the main marina. Twin room wasn't too big but it had a window seat with a sea view! Great bathroom with plenty of space and good water pressure. And most of all great service - Chris went above and beyond for making us welcome.

We only stayed for 1 night as a stop-over in Oban but had a fantastic stay! We were made to feel at home by Chris and enjoyed the character-filled house which was clean and homely.

Service was unbeatable. The host was so nice and did everything right. We had a lovely breakfast and the service on that front was unbeatable as well. Some nice rooms with nice beds made our stay even better. We didn't spend much time in the rooms though since the location was great for going out to town. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Oban.

Great b&b. We had a very comfortable room with a glimpse of the water. Breakfast was good. The manager was great.

Our stay was everything we needed and then some. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their guesthouse and it shows. Rooms were a good size with a nice bathroom. Location was excellent and an easy, quick walk to the distillery and town.
