Thong Nai Pan Beach is a relaxed and family-friendly sandy beach with casual food and drink establishments and shops. Anantara Rasananda offers 64 villas and suites with private plunge pools, while Santhiya provides spacious teak pool villas nestled in the hills. Buri Rasa, located next to the town square, offers direct beach access and an amazing beachside restaurant at a lower price point.
One of the best beaches I’ve ever been to!!!!

Came here for a sunset ride and to check this side out, and was not disappointed. Great vibe, super chill, beach looks amazing, will stay here next time
Darren C — Google review
If you’re reading this then this is the touristy part of the beach. On Google there are two markers that show up for this beach. The beach is basically split by a hill/rocks in between. Didn’t go to the other part of this beach but could see it being rather empty from where we were. Overall a very nice beach. Clear water, no rocks or corals for miles which makes it ideal for swimming. The shore is pretty wide and long so you’ll find a spot to lay down but probably not many shady areas since most of them are taken up by the loungers from cafes and restaurants that extend through this beach. It was a bit crowded when we went but given how wide and expansive the shore was, it didn’t feel crammed for space. Parking for scooters and cars were available few metres from the beach. Mini marts also available around the parking area if you want to grab some water and snacks before you enter the beach.

Amazing spot. Away from all the bustle and hustle of Koh Samui. Very quiet bay with awesome vibes

Beautiful sunrise at the stoned beach in Thong Nai Pan!! Drive through the resort during early morning was easy and the security guard let us drive in with the car and park there 👍 and then we walk for about a minute to the beach... The resort also has a good view point, walk up the steps once you get to the beach and up to the view point

One of the best beach on the island! Definitely worth a visit!
GRC T — Google review
During our day tour of Koh Phangan Island, our guide brought us here to spend some time. It was a beautiful long beach. There were few resorts and restaurants overlooking the sea. Boating facility was also available. The beach was quite long and very clean. Ideal for couples and families.
Balkrishna S — Google review
It is a very beautiful beach, but the journey is quite uncomfortable because there are many hills and hills to reach the beach. But we are tourists, this is not a problem, but there is no shade from trees to stay because the hotels in that area are private.

Haad Rin is a bustling peninsular beach on Koh Phangan known for its vibrant party scene, particularly during the monthly Full Moon Party. The beach becomes the focal point of lively celebrations, drawing hordes of visitors to the township. It's advisable to book accommodations well in advance due to high demand during this time. Outside of the monthly event, Haad Rin is relatively tranquil.
This beach is most famous for its monthly Full Moon parties that pack the beach with up to 30,000 people! When no big parties are happening, it’s still a great place to hang out and have a drink and some food sitting in the many bean bags and other seating on the beach. When the tide goes out in the evening, the beach seating expands a lot to accommodate everyone that wants to come there for the food, drinks, and spectacular fire shows. Plan on spending several hours here having fun with all of the other partygoers!

april'25. lovely weather, chill humans, superb sunrises, soft gentle waves, friendly four-legged beach buddies. best consumed between fullmoon frenzies😉😏.

Great spot. A 25 min ferry ride from Samui and then 15 min scooter or cab ride from the pier. A handful a local stores and beach front restaurants and bungalows. A+ day trip

Fantastic place…! Awesome to take part in the Monthly once moon party…! But do stay longer if u wish for off beat vibes all over the Island…!
Wasim A — Google review
It's nice in the morning. White sand, not too many people, quiet, and still not so hot. There's rubbish around. I can only imagine what it looks like after the full moon party 🚮🗑
Jerome B — Google review
My unforgettable visit to Haad Rin Beach in July was a whirlwind of vibrant energy and breathtaking beauty that left an indelible mark on my heart. Arriving via the Haad Rin Queen Ferry from Koh Samui, I was immediately captivated by the beach’s powdery white sand and turquoise waters, buzzing. As night fell, the beach transformed into a neon-lit spectacle, with fire dancers twirling under the stars, pulsating music filling the air, and thousands of revelers dancing barefoot in the sand, their faces glowing with fluorescent paint. Even beyond the party, the sunrise over Haad Rin was a serene moment of magic, as the sky painted itself in hues of pink and gold, making my visit a perfect blend of wild celebration and natural splendor that I’ll cherish forever.
Shahzad S — Google review
Quite a vivacious mess - the monthly spectacle at this beach that is the wild full moon party. One can truly experience the beauty in the chaos at this high youthful, party energy destination. What I like about the area are the presence of large crates / containers for binning bottles and common garbage to minimise scattering of disposed items along the beach - despite garbage along the beach being absolutely hard to contain. Having said, best to be aware of possible broken shards and bottles (amongst other objects) amongst the sands - other than enduring some occasional bumps from drunk people struggling to walk normally from their over enjoyment. Companion who also visits here often confirms the beach is hastily and effectively cleaned up after the parties. Other highlight is also the assortment of music that plays along this beach - there just seems to be a lot to offer for partying tastes. I especially like the fireshows here too.
Wunda S — Google review
By far the best beach on Koh Phangan! No rocks at all! Even in a windy day have calm waters and nice to swim! Must visit!

Beach
Bottle Beach, located in the north of Koh Phangan, is a hidden gem and a paradise for travelers seeking seclusion. Accessible only by taxi boat from Chaloklum, jeep, or a challenging 2-hour hike, this small and secluded beach offers pristine white sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, towering palm trees, and lush jungle surroundings. While it's one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, reaching it can be quite challenging but adds to its allure.
Superb beach, trail is doable for experienced scooter drivers but still kinda rough.
Alex — Google review
Don’t drive it by yourself! Just park your scooter before the 4WD Road is starting or even before the sign. You have to have serious off road experiences. Just don’t risk it and better take a 100 baht 4WD Car down. It’s driving all the time up and down. We walked down around 30 minutes and payed 100 baht pp to get up. If you walk down you have to have study shoes. It’s really slippery (the pictures are just showing the end of the track - so the good part haha). I can’t imagine how it must be on rainy days :D Nice clean beach surrounded by some bungalows and beautiful palm trees. Sea was clear but very shallow around midday. No entrance fee or anything. Some sunbeds available (it seems like if you‘ve ordered something you could use them). Toilets are also available.
Viktoria S — Google review
Bottle Beach was alright. Not the best, not the worst. The beach itself was relatively quiet and scenic, but getting there was a bit of a hassle. The road leading to it is steep, rocky, and not ideal for motorbikes. I actually had to park mine quite a bit farther up the trail because the path down felt too dangerous. If you’re up for a bit of a trek and don’t mind the rough access, it might be worth the visit, but definitely not the most accessible beach on the island.
Fachri J — Google review
A beautiful, quiet, and relaxing restaurants and beach.
This is such a lovely spot where you can spend the day swimming and enjoying food and drinks from the restaurants nearby. You can have a great lunch or dinner here. The beach is very clean, with soft sand and breathtaking views. It is located between two forest-covered mountains, which makes it even more stunning. One thing to keep in mind is accessibility. We were staying on the southern side of the island (the opposite side), so we rented a car to get here, while others came by motorbike. The last part of the road isn’t easy unless you have a 4-wheel drive, but luckily there are 4-wheel drive taxis available (about 100 THB per person). The ride itself feels like a little adventure. I also saw some people arriving by boat. All in all, I highly recommend visiting this area!
Eskeatnaf M — Google review
We took a taxi boat to Bottle Beach from Ko Phangan — the ride took about 20 minutes. It cost 600 baht per person for a round trip because we didn’t want to wait for more passengers (who knows how long that would’ve taken?). It might have been cheaper with a full boat, but at least we didn’t waste time. The beach itself is beautiful, and there’s a restaurant, but unfortunately, there’s not much shade — definitely something to prepare for. The water is clear, but full of rocks, so I highly recommend wearing water shoes. We went in wearing them, but sadly, that still didn’t save me from getting hurt… While swimming, I stepped down once and got stung by a sea urchin. It was painful, even through the shoe, and removing the broken-off spine from my foot was really difficult and unpleasant. On my way out of the water, I saw two more large sea urchins among the rocks. You really have to be careful — I didn’t see any warning signs about them anywhere, which is quite concerning. After that, I didn’t feel like swimming anymore and just sat near the shore. All in all: it’s a beautiful beach with a great atmosphere, but you have to be very careful in the water. Water shoes are not just recommended — they’re basically essential. I strongly advise everyone to be cautious so you don’t end up like me — or worse. A little awareness can save you a lot of trouble.
Szabolcs-Zsolt S — Google review
Bottle Beach in Koh Phangan is a quiet beautiful, scenic beach. It’s a bit remote, reachable by boat or a challenging hike, which keeps it peaceful and less crowded. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy untouched beauty. But it need improvement in Cleanliness.
Shahzad S — Google review
This beach is very hard to go to with a moto because of the condition of the road, so if you want to come you have two choices: first, come to the entrance and take a car taxi, which costs 100 baht per trip, or walk if you want to do some adventure (it takes 30–40 minutes) The beach is beautiful, small, calm, not a touristic place, with only one restaurant & bar
SASI ( — Google review
OMG, this place is a must visit! There's a bar/restaurant here, too. Greatnprices. So beautiful and chilled. As others have pointed out, walk down the road or taxi only!! As you come up the turn off, take the road to the right, only a little way, on your bike, to reach the taxi man. 100bt per person.

Mae Haad Beach, located on Koh Phangan, is a popular destination due to its unique feature - the small island of Koh Ma. During low tide, a sandbar emerges, allowing visitors to walk across to the island. The beach offers crystal clear turquoise waters with excellent visibility for snorkeling and diving among colorful corals and diverse marine life.
Mae Haad Beach is an absolute hidden gem and one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve experienced in Thailand. The beach itself is stunningly serene, with crystal-clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and a gorgeous sandbar that connects to Koh Ma Island during low tide — a truly unique experience. Whether you’re into swimming, snorkeling, or just sunbathing, the beach offers everything with a sense of calm and natural beauty. The marine life here is vibrant, making it a great spot for snorkeling, especially around the rocky edges and near Koh Ma. You don’t need to take a boat — just walk into the shallow, clear waters and explore. What makes Mae Haad Beach special is the peaceful atmosphere — it’s not overcrowded like many other beaches in Thailand. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking for a quiet escape in nature. There are a few beachfront cafes and resorts nearby, adding to the charm without overwhelming the natural environment. Sunsets here are also magical — watching the sun dip behind the island across the water is unforgettable. If you’re visiting Koh Phangan, this beach is a must-visit, and I’d recommend staying at least a night in the area to fully enjoy its magic. Whether you’re here for relaxation or a bit of adventure, Mae Haad Beach is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
Sharif C — Google review
An incredibly cool beach with some rockier areas and some sandy areas. Bring water shoes if you want to explore the whole thing, but there are many spots you don't need it. A funky sand bridge that you can walk during low tide and high tide towars a little mini headland that juts out into the ocean creating a beautiful bay.
Mack B — Google review
Great beach and snorkling with fish One would think locals would save their local wonders so visitors can come to enjoy. But tonight we saw the small boat from the Mae haad bungalows bar left on the beach fish with nets for 1h from 17h30 to 18h30 just in front in koh ma bay which is supposed to be protected. Killing the local fish will reduce snorkling beauty and reduce the tourist that come from far away for that purpose. We hope the Mae haad bungalow thai owner will get this message and understand its positive meaning. Save the snorkling area for your own good. Thanks

A little paradise on Koh Phangan! beautifully located, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation, making you feel at home from the very first moment. Everything is clean, mega and the staff wowwww The calm and welcoming atmosphere makes it the ideal place to enjoy nature. I will definitely be coming back! Swimming

Nice beach, cool sand bar. Plenty of restaurants/bars here. Nice deep water close to shore.
Jas L — Google review
We went there in the afternoon. It was very pleasant until we walked along the beach to Koh Ma. Low tide washed up all of the plastic bottles, spoons and red lunch box from 7-11 , all trash u can imagine. I picked a lot of them up and just left. I think we can help the environment. Locals and tourists please help cleaning the beach for fish and turtles. Love.
Jade — Google review
This part of the island is quite windy and lively, with plenty of tourists and a number of resorts along the beach
SASI ( — Google review
Loved the beach! Even though the water was still very warm in the late afternoon. We enjoyed sitting under the shade of the trees and the beautiful surroundings. Perfect spot for sunset lovers too! Surely one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

Nestled in the serene mountainside of Koh Phangan, Wat Phu Khao Noi is a tranquil and enduring Buddhist temple with a picturesque white exterior. Believed to have been established in the 15th century, it features a ten-meter-high white tower surrounded by eight smaller pagodas, each with its own unique design. The temple offers a peaceful environment for visitors to explore some modern buildings displaying interesting artifacts.

Shahzad S — Google review
Very pretty temple but I don't recommend walking to this place on foot. It is up a fairly steep hill and a little out the way so a bike is best. Very easy to miss the turning to the hill as its nestled between two buildings so having access to maps or directions will be very beneficial for you. Lovely little temple that is quiet and peaceful. Not a huge area to look around, so perfect for a quick look if you are short on time or want somewhere that isn't going to take you all day to get around.
Abby P — Google review
It quite interesting temple. So peaceful and silent. If you keep walk inside. There is a traditional temple that you might seen in Bangkok. It is beautiful around.

Hope you have a scooter.. or have a ride with a Songthaew.. It's a 3km hike out of town on foot.. and on top of a hill to boot. Small or rather.. the Small Mountain temple caters mostly to the local devotees and the odd tourist that has to come and see. If you're lucky you might also see a coconut harvest in progress using trained baboons to do the picking. Hats and sunscreen if you're hiking to this temple.

Haad Baan Tai beach is conveniently located near Thong Sala, making it easily accessible for visitors to Koh Phangan. The bay boasts pristine white sands and lush palm trees, serving as a gateway to the island's protected forests. Visitors can enjoy trendy beach bars, savor local seafood at Thai eateries, and partake in exciting water sports such as kitesurfing and canoeing. Additionally, the area offers opportunities for relaxation with traditional Thai massages available at nearby spas.
This beach is very quite, and the water is blue. This feels so good, even at sunset, it does not feel overcrowded. I would recommend this place for those who are looking for chill and quite places.

Mountain peak
Khao Ra is the highest mountain on Koh Phangan, standing at 627 meters. The hike to the summit takes about two to three hours and is not particularly difficult. The trail through the jungle is well-marked, making it relatively easy to navigate. Hikers are advised to bring water, bug spray, food, sunscreen, and proper footwear due to the hot and humid conditions. The panoramic views from the top make it a rewarding experience for adventurous tourists.
This is the best experience that I ever had. It took two hours and half to go there and one hour and half to get back. So tired but so worthy and the view point area is not wide too much. But you will came see the place which made night market at every Sunday. Love the views and took big bottle of water and take.a rest whenever you tired…
Sweetener 2 — Google review
Asking 40thb (or any price really) for this average at best hike is ridiculous. Once you get to the start of the hike then it's pretty straightforward way up. Hike itself is not dangerous and not even that difficult. Few places with good view on the way and also on the top. Being on the highest point is cool but other hikes/viewpoints were better imo.
Ladislav B — Google review
Very nice trail .. you have to bring extra water with you .. not for beginners but also no expert needed , something between… you can See Monkeys if you are lucky… Take Around 1 Hour 15 min Up .. 45 min down . I meet these Friendly guys up at the Peak ;)
Ehmed S — Google review
The trail is sometimes hard to find, but almost all the paths lead to the top. We found the hike difficult, with very steep sections. Be prepared : although the trail is mostly in the shade, bring plenty of water and food if possible. The view at the top is good on a clear day. You'll encounter dogs on the way, we avoided them and the old's man house. The dogs bark but they won't attack you. We encountered a snake on our path, so be on the lookout for them. The round trip took us 5 hours, on a very hot day. The entrance fee is 40 bahts per person.
F T — Google review
It's the best place for the adventurous tourist. I had a great and exciting experience there. If you want to go there, I would make sure to bring a few things with you as it can get VERY hot and humid along the way. 1. At Least One Liter of Water. 2. Bug Spray / Repellant 3. Food or snacks. 4. Sunscreen. 5. Walking shoes (not sandal) Basic information: Starting & Ending Point: Khao Ra Terrace (more on the starting point next) Mid Point: Khao Ra Peak Elevation: 627 meters Time: 2.5 - 3 hours Trail Type: Dirt / Jungle Difficulty: Medium
Sazzad H — Google review
If you love hiking, you’re fit, and we’ll prepared, this is a great hike. 3 hours if you’re quick, 4 hours round trip if you take it easy. Going up is hard on the legs - it can get steep in parts - but the path is well maintained. Going down has some technically difficult bits, with slippy rocks and steep drops to deal with. Thanks to a serendipitous meeting with an experienced hiker of this route, we were advised to download the app Maps.Me, where there is a very nice and accurate map of the trail that helps you to get back. We needed it on more than one occasion, because the path does not appear naturally sometimes and it can be quite unnerving to be stuck in dense forest with no obvious way out! The view from the top, of course, is great. You’re 650m up, so you can see the whole north of the island in the distance. You have to get lucky though, because five minutes after we arrived, the clouds moved in, and the whole thing was a complete whiteout!
Sam D — Google review
The price raised up to 40 Baht. We were trying to find the way up alongside the river but it was unsuccessful, there was just a jungle. We had to come back to the weir or dam and rised up by sandy trail. After half an hour we reached Jamai's quiet place, where should be viewpoint. The old man there was rude and told us that is private property. We were disappointed and went back to the base and we enjoyed the waterfall on the other side of entry.
Jan V — Google review
Quite steep in places. Overall a decent hike took about 4 hours overall. Was a cloudy day so didn’t see anything at the top. Pack lightly!

Beaches
Haad Yuan Beach is a small, sandy beach with a low-key vibe and clear waters. It is over a hundred meters long and backed with bungalows, resorts, and beach bars. The beach is limited at both ends by large granite boulders and has coarse sand. Swimming is not recommended due to hidden rocks and strong currents. Scuba diving around Ko Pha Ngan offers lovely sites for both beginners and trained divers, with fine hard corals and tropical fish.
The location is great and most beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. BUT- they were completely out of fruits. Not for eating and not for making drinks.

I think it’s the most beautiful beach on the island. You can swim here even in low tide. I got here on my Honda Click 125. It’s not difficult but not for beginners too. Maximum one person on bike, unless you have an off-road one.

beautiful beach, calm less people you can reach it JUST WITH THE BOAT!
Stefan P — Google review
One of the best beaches I’ve ever been to. The water is clean and it’s usually not crowded — except on weekends, when there’s a party at a nearby bar with very loud noise (constant booming bass). The staff at Big Blue and the small grocery shop are super friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend it highly enough — just avoid the party hours if you’re looking for peace and quiet.

Nice quiet beach, you can come here via boat or cross bike / 4x4 car. The ride via bike/car is way more fun! Also has some abandoned houses there, which adds a nice flair. Some bars are there too.

Phaeng Noi Waterfall, located in Than Sadet National Park on Koh Phangan, is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the picturesque waterfall via an easy jungle hike from the parking lot.
Great water fall on Koh Phangan Island. It has many nice pools you can sit down in and cool off. Definitely worth the effort. Cost is 100 baht to enter.

I went because I was just passing by on my way to the beach. Flip flops and just been to the gym. Therefore very hot already. Please do not attempt wearing flip flops. I'm an experienced climber and would say some sections are very dangerous in flip flops, as it was more of a scramble in places. The first thing you see as you walk in is the first aid area 🤣now I know why.
Glenn R — Google review
Nice place for short hiking. The waterfall now has very slow water. The road is in good condition, but there were a few places that needed attention to find the right way.
Rave G — Google review
At the time I visited (early September), there wasn't much of a waterfall. Still, it's a lovely walk that takes about 1.5h. I recommend doing the loop counter clockwise, as it's much better signposted in that direction. I went the opposite way and got lost a few times
Joanna Ś — Google review
I'll start with the basics... water & mosquito repellent are mandatory. Very slippery road, come with good walking shoes, not flip flops. Extra shirt - you'll be all sweaty at the end. Walk up slowly, looking for the animals and the tree canopy. The water flow is low due to the season, though many clear water ponds along the way to dip. The long circular track is about 2.5 hours, the short one about 1.5 hours. If you take the long route, like I did.. PAY ATTENTION TO THE BLUE ARROW ON THE TREE MARKING TO TURN RIGHT. If you got to a very big rock and the trail ends, you need to go back about 5 min. After a 2.5 hours track, pay attention as fatigue might make you slip. Finally, take some trash with you to clean the track.. even one piece will make it. More info in the pictures. Enjoy this wonderful track.
Shlomi B — Google review
Really enjoyable hike up the waterfall trail, plenty of opportunities to chill and bathe in the waters before you reach the top. The heavens opened just before reaching the viewpoint and it got extremely slippery even in hiking boots so good shoes advised! Great view of the island once you get there.
Charlie M — Google review
I might have visited during the low season, as there wasn’t much water in the waterfall. The walking path is in poor condition — broken in several places, so you proceed at your own risk. The trail leading up is quite adventurous, but overall, the experience wasn’t very impressive.

one of the best hike i’ve done in Thailand! we hike for about 3 hours round trip and ended with 5 water falls along the way! recommend to do the whole loop which will take you 3-4 hours

Leela Beach, situated on the western side of Koh Phangan, is a tranquil and secluded spot away from the bustling crowds. The soft white sand and clear blue waters make it perfect for swimming and sunbathing. This hidden gem offers modest bungalows with porches in a straightforward beachfront hotel, along with a restaurant. Visitors can enjoy the dreamy beach scenery with its fine white sand and turquoise sea colors.
Leela Beach is also known as Haad Seekantang. Must visit here whenever you are in Area !

A great beach for sunsets! This beach is long, but not very wide, especially at high tide. Smooth, white sand and plenty of bars and accommodations along the beach to enjoy.
Mark P — Google review
I was here around the full moon, and during the day it was sooo quiet and tidy compared to the main beach. The water is very warm and calm, and the sunsets here are otherworldly. Loved being able to walk here and be away from the noise of the main beach area.

This beach is beautiful, peaceful, and never too crowded. The sunset is stunning, and you can take a nice walk to the lighthouse. However, be very careful! There are pieces of broken glass in the sand, so watch your step!

Pretty and peaceful small beach. Rocks and coral in the sea. Swimmable but wear water shoes. Sea is blue but not clear. There are signs to beware of jellyfish in front of the Cabin beach resort .

Perhaps we were lucky that day, but the beach was quiet, water clean, the staff allowed us to lay down on one bean bag (despite signs saying differently) and the restaurant there was also nice for lunch (bathroom also available for beachgoers). One of top 3 beaches for us!

Buddhist temple
Wat Samai Kongka is a unique and memorable temple located on an island. The complex features garden sculptures depicting the tortures of Buddhist hell, making it quite an intriguing sight. Additionally, the temple hosts various events, including meditation sessions that visitors can participate in. One of its most striking features is a sculpture exhibition with hundreds of mirror mosaic tiles that glisten in the sunlight or moonlight.
This is temple where you will find a strange sculpture exhibition. Whether you pass it in the daytime or the night time it will certainly make you blink with its hundreds of mirror mosaic tiles glistening in the sun or the atmospheric moonlight. There is a very amazing story behind Wat Samai Kongka and an artistic graveyard for the head monk masters throughout hundreds of years dating back to six to seven hundred years ago. Wat Samai Kongka is one of the best places for walking and seated meditation with some great masters. There are around 5 monks reside here. There are around 10 dogs that use these grounds as home. The area of the temple is split up to which dogs live where.

The temple festival was so much fun, there was plenty of different food to try at affordable prices, a lot of little shops to buy clothing and accessories, a comedy show (not sure since it was in Thai but everyone kept laughing) and a band. They also had a bunch of activities and games for the kids. The temple was beautiful and clean.

Haad Salad Villa is a popular choice for families visiting Haad Salad, Koh Phangan. The spacious and cozy rooms can accommodate extra beds, making it suitable for larger families. The property offers direct access to the beach and is budget-friendly. Guests can enjoy simple yet well-equipped bungalows with the option to dine at the on-site restaurant serving delicious Thai cuisine by the beach.
Pros: Great location, close to beach. Lovely terrace and hammock. Sweet and friendly staff, overall good restaurant and lots of nice cats! Free water refill in the reception. Would come back Cons: Bathroom a bit outdated. If we really had to say anything, a fan on the terrace would have been excellent to keep cool and the mosquitos away (although mosquitos weren’t a huge problem) but we’re really nitpicking here. Everything else was great.

ABSOLUTE paradise, the best beach ever for your kids on this island! All you are here is butt makes babies, beautiful! Ton of restaurants to eat, order anything for your kids, EVERYONE is super friendly here, they address all your questions quickly. You can do laundry here, you can have their or your own detergent. You can order a taxi from here, easy. Our room has AC, has been running for 2 months already, no issues. Love this place!! Will definitely come back!
Olya X — Google review
We booked the night before without knowing exactly what to expect, since everything else in the Haad area was fully booked. It turned out to be a perfect surprise! Location: Ideal if you’re looking to relax on a beautiful beach every day or if you’re comfortable getting around by scooter. There are a few restaurants, minimarts, and scooter rentals nearby. If you’re after a city vibe, gym, or yoga within walking distance, this isn’t the place. But if you enjoy peace, nature, and don’t mind a short (5–15 minute) drive to get around the island, it’s absolutely perfect. Personally, I think Salad Beach is one of the best on either side of Koh Phangan. Facility: Super clean and spacious villa/bungalow — ours felt newly renovated so i cant speak for the other villa’s. We had three beds, a large bathroom with a great shower, lots of space, a small kitchen with cutlery, plates, fridge, and a lovely balcony. The separate sinc and toilet/shower was nice being several people. The air conditioning worked well, and the beds were very comfortable. Best of all, the villas are directly connected to the beach and beach bars serving coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was amazing to just crawl back to the balcony when the rain hit! Wifi was sometimes a bit off, but they have plenty off routers/wifi so just ask for the other passwords. We could stream movies almost all the time just switching. Staff: Extremely friendly and helpful. They assisted us with luggage, transport, and scooters — they even drove us to the post office so we could send postcards. Always smiling, and the cleaning staff took great care of the outdoor areas several times a day. Just be aware that, like most places in Thailand, the English level is limited — but Google Translate is your best friend and worked just fine. Price: Very affordable, especially for a beachfront villa. Great value for money, especially if you’re splitting between 2–4 people. Final Verdict: 10/10 – Would absolutely stay here again. Peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for a relaxed vacation. The staff mayed me feel like this was our home.

Location is amazing, right on the beach. There are different types of bungalows, all of them are spacious and clean. Prices in general are a bit expensive for what you get. Staff is usually friendly although they're always changing from year to year. Restaurant serves Thai food.

I stayed at one of the bungalows for 3 weeks and I loved it! The staff are so helpful, friendly, lovely, always smiling and in a good mood. The bungalow was big and had a lot of natural light, AC was working perfectly, it even had a desk where I could work if I wanted to stay inside sometimes. Internet was very fast. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The restaurant serves delicious food and has one of the best views of the sea. I would definitely come back and stay there again!

Nestled on the west coast of the island, Secret Beach, also known as Haad Son, is a 300-meter-long cove with pristine white sands and swaying palm trees. The beach offers a tranquil hideout with swings, hammocks, sunbeds, and colorful lights in the trees. Visitors can unwind at the laid-back beach restaurant and bar which also rents out snorkeling gear. Bungalows behind the beach provide scenic water views for a relaxing stay.
My unforgettable visit to Secret Beach in July left me utterly enchanted by this hidden gem on Koh Phangan. As I arrived after a short, scenic drive from Thong Sala, the first thing that struck me was the tranquil beauty of the beach. The soft, golden sand stretched along a crescent-shaped cove, framed by lush greenery and gentle waves lapping at the shore. The water was crystal-clear, with a gradient of turquoise to deep blue that invited me to dive in immediately. Unlike the more crowded beaches, Secret Beach was blissfully quiet, with only a handful of visitors lounging under palm trees or sipping cocktails at the small beachside bar. What made Secret Beach truly special was its intimate, unspoiled atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind with a book, meditate to the sound of waves, or simply soak in the natural beauty without distraction. The only downside was the slightly tricky access navigating the narrow path from Haad Yao required some careful driving, but the effort was well worth it. For anyone visiting Koh Phangan, Secret Beach is a must for a peaceful retreat. It’s perfect for couples, solo travelers, or anyone craving a slice of paradise away from the island’s party scene. My July visit left me with memories of pure relaxation and a longing to return to this idyllic haven.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights as part of our honeymoon. Overall, our experience was very positive, and both the property and the staff left a great impression. Highlights: • Stunning panoramic views • Quiet location, yet conveniently close — approximately a 5-minute motorbike ride from town • Regular shuttle service provided by the hotel throughout most of the day • Complimentary pick-up and drop-off from the ferry pier • Professional, courteous, and helpful staff • Accessible drinking water station • Newly built and modern facilities • Private pool in the room, clean and well-maintained Points to note: • There is no active reception desk; communication with the staff is primarily handled via WhatsApp, with quick and efficient responses • The shower area is not separated from the rest of the room • No on-site restaurant; breakfast is delivered directly to the room

Not much of a “secret” beach honestly, it was pretty busy even on a cloudy and rainy day. The beach offers a relaxed atmosphere and is popular among families, with plenty of cozy bars, resorts, and eateries serving authentic Thai cuisine. Great beach!! Clean and nice water with plenty of coral and sea life close to shore. Beware of sea urchins too though. Also water is quite warm where shallow. Not much shade at this beach but it is nice and wide and a few bars/shops/cafes available.

Did not rate this beach at all. It was lovely and quiet but the tide was super low with sea moss, coral and seaweed which was not inviting to swim at all. I was staying on this beach for 6 days and did not swim in the sea at all. Lucky my resort had a lovely pool. Stayed in May so perhaps I was unlucky

Beautiful beach and pool but the rooms had no kettle, we had to ask, no tea or coffee or cups in the rooms, no plugs for your handbasin in the bathroom, when we asked for a cup we got told to get one from the restaurant and pay 100 baht deposit, we have traveled extensively around Thailand over the years and never had any place where there is nothing in the rooms, as well as been been charged a deposit of 500 Baht for a room key, there was no welcome when you arrive like an introduction to what there is if anything, when we first asked for a taxi we got told 600 baht per person there and back, you are so remote and far from proper shops and anything else, imagine if you wanted to do things on a daily basis, why they do not have a shuttle at various hours I do not know, if you do come remember to bring your own snacks, coffee, tea etc, definitely will not be back, this place could be paradise if whoever owns it would pay more attention to detail

Update: June 19th 2025. I would not stay anywhere in Haad Yao now. It’s all one big construction site. Every road has bungalows being built, the beach construction is extensive and very noisy…. Everyone one is repairing, building or upgrading everything . It all starts at 8 am goes until 6 pm and it’s 7 days a week. This is a lovely beach however I would not stay near it and definitely not on it. Apart from the loud competition music from the resorts on the beach there is a massive construction project which has at least a year or more to run and takes up 1/3 of the beach area. The noise starts at 8am and finishes around 4 or 5 . It’s awful. They have also run 200 meters of corrugated fencing along the beach front. Dreadful. Update April 9th. The noise has increased dramatically as the construction continues. AVOID. 18th August. I live on the side of the Hill half a mile away and it’s like they are hammering metal from morning to evening with 30 guys . The noise is off the charts . Still a long long way to go . Keep away September 2nd The construction continues over a year to go approximately. The construction company has let the awful fence collapse and now there is trash all over the place. So sad.

Gorgeous soft white sand beach with warm clear blue waters on a calm day, deep enough for a proper swim. It’s a long stretch of beach, left facing the sea is busier than the right . There are a lot of people (February) but feels spaced out enough. On a windy day, the sea is still swimmable but lots of current/waves, and the sea isn’t clear.

Great place. The upper waterfalls have big rocks and can be slippery when it's raining. Pay attention: If you want to go to Than Sadet Waterfall, you need to go all the way until you pass the checkpoint and pay the entrance fee. It's 100 for adults, and children do not need to pay.

the best waterfall I guess. People don’t feel very good about this water cause they just watch out the top and they won’t see anything. But just down towards the rock. The downside you will see the views and the waterfalls. There’s a place to chill and relax. The time I went there is not too much water but with good water. There’s so many water fall. At the entrance, there’s blind old man and he is so kind. He sang for us about full moon ❤️ so lovely

Great hike Not long But took me 3 hours to finish at a pace of 40 minutes a kilometer I really took my time to admire the jungle beauty I highly recommend

Nice spot to stop by and see a small waterfall after short walk in the bush. Very nice to see. You can also buy some beverage from a blind but singing man. He is so nice and polite.

We came around 3 PM and were the only ones there. You put this location on maps, entrance is 100 THB per person (it's a nature reserve) - you get access to this waterfall and the beach which is also quiet and "secret". The waterfall waters are cold and nice to just bathe and stay inside, especially on a hot day. You can walk along the waterfall rocks to get higher up the stream, the jungle trail won't get you very far up. BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT or you'll get bitten hard.

This is definitely a very special place! With a lot of magic! Even the King Rama V visited the site over 13 or 14 times! The water quality is very clean! Tested at 27 TDS

Waterfalls
Paradise Waterfall, located near Chaloklum Beach in the north of the island, is an easily accessible spot for a refreshing break. The waterfall cascades down between boulders into a large waterhole, perfect for swimming and cooling off. Even after dry spells, Paradise Waterfall remains a great option for a swim. Visitors can enjoy climbing up the rocks to larger falls and lounging in pools along the way.
A beautiful waterfall with several swimming pools of sufficient size. The water is clean enough to swim in but not so clean that you don't feel a little icky going past knee deep.
Robin M — Google review
The water is nice and cool. I did the full hike up, it's about 70 minutes all the way before the trail gets lost. Somewhat difficult hike but nice views of the waterfall/river and jungle. The trail gets a bit confusing and goes off in multiple paths as you get higher, but if you stick near the water/blue pipes you won't get lost. There are several natural pool areas as you go up.
Gleb O — Google review
We paid 60 baht for two people and stayed literally one minute. As soon as we entered, we realized that the waterfalls looked nothing like the photos or the description. The place was crowded, not as beautiful as expected, and definitely not worth the price. We didn’t swim, didn’t use any of their facilities, tables, or toilets — we just walked in, took one look around, and decided to leave. We politely asked for a refund since we hadn’t used anything at all. The lady at the entrance suddenly started shouting at us, saying she would have to pay for our entry out of her own pocket. She threw the money back at us while yelling that she’s been working there for 55 years and that something like this had never happened before. We simply explained that we had been inside for less than a minute, saw that the waterfalls didn’t match the photos, and left. We were calm and polite the whole time, but she reacted very rudely and aggressively. In the end, she refunded us but kept shouting and even asked where we were from. Once she heard we were Italian, she raised her voice even more. Overall, a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience. We didn’t use any service, didn’t swim, and still got yelled at for politely expressing that we didn’t like the place. It honestly feels like a scam to charge people even just to take one step inside.

Beautiful falls. Refreshing water. Hike up the "road" was an experience. Was washed out due to heavy rains. They charge a small entrance fee for "road repairs"

Beautiful waterfall and clear water. It's a bit hard to climb up . When you climb up, be careful 😉 . Just follow the PVC pipe.

a bit hard to find, when you see the sign with the arrow and says go straight no need to turn go straight up the path it’s a bit rocky and you can park and walk up or go up and park there there’s red spray paint to indicate where the parking is the lady that runs it is lovely but make sure to go after it rains or else itll be dry and be aware of mosquitos!!

A nice small waterfall near to the city of Koh Phangan. Need to pay 30 baht fee per person. There’s not many people there when we went on a Thursday evening. It was very relaxing.
Mei Y — Google review
A quiet and cool place to take a break and photograph. The water is freshwater, wonderful for swimming. Drive carefully up, the road is in a bad condition and steep. I recommend to park a bit further down and walk the last steps. It's not far. Enjoy fried rice, unbeatable cheap. The "lady boss" is totally nice and friendly.

Zen Beach, located in the southern part of Sri Thanu in Koh Phangan, is a wide beach with some development along the sand. Despite this, there is still ample space to enjoy. The beach offers a pleasant and calm ocean experience, perfect for relaxation. Visitors can witness breathtaking sunsets with pink skies and teal waters that seem to glow like mercury as the sun sets. The Grasshopper bar provides a cozy atmosphere where guests can enjoy drinks and food while taking in the stunning views.
Wow, this place is amazing, since we went on a weekend, we planned well in advance to be there, we reached around 4pm and were there till 10, that's the time till when the DJ's is spinning the records. The music was mind blowing, the crowd was awesome a mix of all sorts of people. The staff is friendly, however it's self-service here, which i did not mind at all. I had a fascinating time here. It was my 1st visit here but I'm going to be back soon. Like the name Zen, the feeling within was of Zen.

I went in the afternoon during low season, so it wasn’t crowded at all. The place is absolutely stunning—the water is crystal clear, you can literally see everything you’re walking or swimming on 😄 I stayed for sunset too and it was unreal. The sky lit up with the most beautiful colors, and the way it reflected on the water was just magical 😍 Definitely don’t skip sunset here. It can get a bit busy in the evenings, but the vibe is still chill. You’ll see people doing yoga, reading, or just sitting quietly watching the sun go down. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and just a lovely place to be. 🌅

Historical landmark
The Yang Na Yai Tree near Wat Pho in Ko Pha-Ngan is a stunning sight, standing as the tallest of its kind in Thailand. This dipterocarpus alatus tree reaches over 50m in height and is adorned with colorful ribbons. It's estimated to be around 400 years old and often hosts honey bee hives on its branches.
The tree is stunning. It's trunk is massive. Usually you'd have quite a hike to see a tree like this.
Robin M — Google review
It is certainly a big tree and my wife enjoyed hugging for energy. She fully charged herself I believe. Easy to get to from main road so worth the 5 minutes to see it.

Yang Na Yai Tree is one of Koh Phangan’s natural wonders. This giant tree, said to be over 400 years old, impresses with its size and power. Its massive trunk can’t be circled even by several people, and its roots seem to reach deep into the heart of the island. The area feels calm and slightly magical — filled with the energy of nature. It’s a perfect stop to connect with the island’s spirit and its ancient roots.

It is 54 metere tall tree. It is supposed to be 400 years old in the heart of Ban Nok Village. The locals worship this tree, therefore there is a small shrine at the foot of tree. The locals also garland it with colourful ribbons.

Impressive, worth a few moments to stop and look! 400 year old tree (so they say)... It's right at the side of the road, and hard to miss! Largest tree of its kind in Thailand. (dipterocarpus alatus; ยางนา) The large black areas on the branches are honey bee hives!

Wat Khao Tham is a serene Buddhist temple located near Ban Tai, offering group meditation workshops, silent retreats, and panoramic views of the sea. The temple provides opportunities for meditation retreats and traditional massages at Wat Pho. With resident female monks, it sits in the shade among trees high up on a hill. Visitors can enjoy beautiful statues, viewpoints of the sea, and quiet areas for reflection.
I came here on Sunday at 6pm looking for the chanting and meditation. Unfortunately I did not find it. I spoke to someone at the construction site of the new wellness center, and apparently the session is organized by the monks, elsewhere on the premises. Not at the actual temple. It's quite big and I didn't find the meditation spot anywhere. Maybe the monks are off on Sundays?
Wouter S — Google review
Calm temple atmosphere in the jungle with nice viewpoint of the island. I did some spontaneous meditation with a monk here in the evening 🙏
Charlie M — Google review
Wat Khao Tham, a cave temple on Koh Phangan, sits atop a hill with panoramic views, but it didn’t capture my interest. The climb to the temple is steep and sweaty, and the cave itself feels cramped and underwhelming, with minimal decorations—just a few Buddha statues and stalactites. The surrounding jungle is lush, but the views are partially blocked by trees, making the effort feel unrewarded.
Shahzad S — Google review
It's very quiet and calm place on the hills of Koh Phangan, there is a wonderful point of view, you even can see Koh Samui island from there. They do have a vipassana (see clearly) meditation retreat. The temple is amazing colorful with a laid Buddha statue. It's a must go place in Koh Phangan for visiting or for a retreat.

I really liked the monastery and meditated for hours there. I enjoyed my time. Although the owner gave me mixed feelings talking about males and females doing massages at sunset😐 He showed me a spot to meditate in nature and prepared a seat for me then I was like ok thanks I'm gonna meditate now. He started to look at my back and say something, I thought he was talking about mosquitoes eating my back but no he proceeded touching my back trying to massage me. I immediately called him out and told him to just go I was good. You can't touch someone without their consent especially a woman coming for her dharma practice. I wouldn't return didn't feel pure.

Rin Nok Beach, also known as Full Moon Beach, is a popular destination on Koh Phangan's peninsula. The white-sand shoreline is famous for its lively atmosphere with raucous bars and a monthly dance club festival featuring live DJs. While some parts of the beach can get dirty towards the end, it offers a beautiful and romantic sight especially during sunrise when it's quiet and clean.
Such a beautiful beach. I would highly recommend watching the sunrise. At that time in the morning it is very quiet and considerably clean. However, as you walk towards the end of the beach then it starts to get dirty. Such a beautiful and romantic sight . Its a bit tricky to get there with all the hills on a moped. But it's definitely worth it. I can imagine during the day it's a fun, lively beach, lots of music and places to buy a drink.

Nestled on a charming peninsula in the west of Koh Phangan, Koh Raham is an absolute gem that you simply cannot miss during your island adventure. This enchanting spot, which is part of the Haad Son Resort, offers visitors a unique experience with its stunning scenery and artistic ambiance. Picture yourself lounging in cozy hammocks or swinging gently over the water while soaking up breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand.
Nice place! I stayed at a 1 floor private room with ocean view. The room was big, nice and clean. It also looked kind of new. The hotel is beach front so you could easily walk down to secret beach. It has a nice pool, relatively small to the size of the resort, but i didnt have the opportunity to use it as i preferred the beach. They provide laundry service in-house at a reasonable price (just a little more than outside) Cons: 1. Even though the resort is beach front, they didnt have beach facilities for the guests 2. The water stream in the shower was so weak it was a pain to shower 3. The room isn’t equipped with amenities like cutton buds or hand soap (you can use the one that is mounted to the shower wall) The staff was super nice and responsive at whatsapp so its still a 5 for me. Theres always a way to improve.

We were there a few days ago. The food was really tasty – light, fun, and enjoyable. We didn’t order too many dishes since we just wanted a small bite, but everything was aesthetic, delicious, and clean. The desserts were also unique and special. That said, the food did take some time to arrive, and the waiter wasn’t always easy to find. It wasn’t a big problem, but still noticeable. The service isn’t the most professional, but considering you’re just sitting by the beach, it’s totally fine

Really nice place and great coffee! It’s just a shame that, after spending a good amount of money, I received my drink in plastic. The idea behind this place is wonderful — you’ve clearly put effort into recycling and building a creative, eco-friendly space — but it’s disappointing to see plastic still being used here. Especially considering how much plastic pollution already covers Koh Phangan and the surrounding islands, it would be amazing if more local businesses truly committed to going plastic-free. Let’s free Koh Phangan from plastic!
Emily J — Google review
Stunning for real! I was welcomed with a nice greeting when I entered this restaurant. I felt very welcome and the service was good. I had a pad thai, it was very very delicious! There are many tables/sections of the restaurant where you can sit down. They also play relaxing music what i found very nice. I can say that this is a unique place.
Lourdes S — Google review
We ordered a Caramel Latte and got a Cappuccino. Even better we had to wait for 45 minutes. And the prices of the food it's not worth it! Like 350 B for Tomato mozzarella.
Hauke L — Google review
I highly recommend this place for its interior and sunsets. The prices are reasonable, but the food is not worth it at all. If you come here, stick to Thai food — it’s good, just like everywhere in Thailand. Pizza and other variations of Western food are a waste of money. Just go with something Thai and a bottle of Chang beer. Five stars for the design and the view. But in the end, this place presents itself as a restaurant, while in reality it’s more of a viewpoint. So overall, I give it 4 stars.

The view is astonishing and you should definitely check it out at least once. Everything else is just meh. Food is average, prices are not as high as you might expect. I visited this place twice and at first they forgot about my order so I had to remind them after 20+ minutes. Next time I got my order fast, but I asked to make it spicy and it wasn't spicy at all. The pool is old, tired and dirty and they charge 50 baht for it but I wouldn't go there even for free. I would totally recommend going to this place in the evening to watch the sunset and drink fresh coconut, but that's all you should do there probably. Be careful on the road as it is steep especially at the end.

A must visit if you’re in Koh Phangan! Route - I think it’s a new place and getting up the mountain for us was interesting but one of the most memorable evenings I’ve had here in Koh Phangan! Food - limited options (all vegan) but every dish they serve is a work of art and filled with flavours. My husband and I tried 4 dishes and a desert and every dish was unique! New Delhi Aranchini was the best. Ambience - you can get lost into relaxation by just looking at any corner as it gives you a nice panoramic view of the island towards the west. Best for sunset views.

Haad Khom Beach is a peaceful and remote destination located to the east of Chaloklum on Koh Phangan. Accessible via a single road, this beach boasts lovely soft sand and clear, calm, warm water perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Visitors can enjoy the small stretch of beach with a few beach bar/restaurants or bring their own refreshments. The area is known for its basic resort accommodations and tranquil surroundings, making it popular during high season and full moon days.
Although we came on a windy day, the beach is quiet and beautiful. You need to park up the road and walk down a way through the forest (its a designated way to the beach). It's a small beach and not much to so around so bring drinks and snacks. White small sand and shallow waters.

Lourdes S — Google review
Quiet beach, nice rocks and sand but sea seems dirtier than other beaches. Friendly dog, tree swing for nice pictures and enough shade to spend some time there. You have to park on the road and walk down a slope to the beach, there may be monkeys around!
Sammy V — Google review
Really lovely soft sand (some coral) on a calm day, small stretch of beach, with clear calm clean warm water. a small amount (2-3 beach bar/restaurants), otherwise bring your own beach blanket and refreshments. motorbike parking on the main road. Monkeys seen enroute on the walking path to the beach, down a path. We visited on a Thursday late Feb and the beach itself was very busy. We had a wonderful swim, it was deep enough to swim properly, and deep enough to the reef there is snorkeling. Came back on a windy day and it was quite rough with waves, and the sea wasn’t clear when wavy, so you’d then need to wear water shoes as there can be rocks that you can’t see depending on where you enter the water. We came a 3rd time after the windy days. The sea was clearer again, but tide lower. Possible to swim - just about waist deep at best and lots of sea cucumbers and seaweed. Beach very busy when it’s nice. Taxi boats available to bottle beach .

It's a nice temple to visit, but the most notable thing here is not a temple itself but a huge beautiful stairs decorated with dragons which you should definitely check out. It's a good place to take some pictures and the entrance is free. Few dogs are living here and they may bark at you but they are not dangerous.

A nice little temple. About a hundred steps to the top and a nice grounds to walk around.

The temple grounds were very quiet, and we were greeted right away by a few dogs and chickens. The most impressive part was definitely the staircase, although it’s quite a climb and can be tiring. However, don’t expect too much at the top—there’s just a grassy area and another temple with an altar. If you visit during the rainy season, be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes in the greenery around the temple. They were relentless! Overall, aside from the staircase, the temple itself wasn’t particularly remarkable.

It's a low-key destination with an authentic and laid-back atmosphere, making it perfect for those seeking a calm and quiet side of the island. The area is also popular among divers due to its proximity to Sail Rock.
Clear water, no rocks or corals, water was calm and perfect place to swim. You might need to go out a bit further from the shore to reach the deep part of the sea. Was not crowded with few people and bunch of cafes available there which look really good but offer pricey food and drinks given the ambience they offer and all of them have a view of the sea so if you like overpriced food and drinks with a view then go for it! Otherwise a clean and clam beach to do some swimming!

Big and interesting beach. So many sand bubbler crabs. Long stretches very walkable. Lots of boats to areas for hire. Okay snorkeling. Easy shores.

If you're looking for that beach and ocean that you see online in places like the Maldives then this is the beach you need to visit. There are no beds or umbrellas. But plenty of shade from trees that line the beach. The water is shallow and crystal clear. Go around 1pm and the tide will have gone out to reveal the beach. You wont believe what it looks like when you arrive. It's the beach I always dreamt I would find in Thailand.
Scott W — Google review
Our favorite beach in the island! Clear water, quiet waves, clean sand and perfect to relax. We arrived at 10am and there were only two other couples there. Around 2-3 pm more people were arriving.

We lived close by for 4 months. Walked on this beach daily. One of the cleanest and most quiet beaches on the island. The village is small but quickly expanding! We truly feel this is the best family beach on the island.

Thong Sala Saturday Local Market is a bustling and convenient place to visit in Koh Phangan, located near the main port town where ferries arrive and depart. The market offers a wide range of experiences, from shopping for souvenirs and browsing local artwork to enjoying street food and haggling with clothing vendors. Visitors can find an array of items such as secondhand and new clothing, footwear, savory and sweet street food, all while taking in the lively atmosphere.
It’s a fun experience. Tons of stalls and easy/bargain shopping. You can find almost everything. Food court is also very cool.
Gonca G — Google review
Great local experience. Come where many locals also get their weekend treats - great selection, even western stuff (if that’s your jam) but I prefer banging dimsum for 20baht, bbq food, sweet treats and more!

Opens already around 4:30 PM with much less people around. Best time to watch Thais and tourists. As later the time, as more crowded it's getting. Very worth a visit.

Thong Sala – Paradise with a Price Tag Welcome to Thong Sala, Koh Phangan’s port and unofficial tourist trap. Step off the ferry and straight into the arms of taxi drivers offering “special prices”—aka double the going rate. No meters, no mercy. Even a five-minute ride costs like a private tour. Solo travelers? You're jackpot. Pro tip: grab a scooter, dodge the scam, and roll on your own terms. Thong Sala's got charm—but keep your wallet close and your smile skeptical.

Koh Phangan, a small island known for its monthly full moon parties, attracts visitors with its resorts and picturesque surroundings. In addition to the famous parties, the island offers Muay Thai lessons, yoga courses, and hiking opportunities such as reaching the top of Khao Ra, its highest mountain. The island has a hippie and zen vibe with plenty of Thai restaurants and activities suitable for solo travelers, couples, and families.

Dense jungle, national parks, and a surprisingly laidback vibe all make this island unique and I think it is definitely worth visiting in 2023. From the cafe culture to the yoga retreats, there are several reasons why Koh Phangan still deserves a place on your travel bucket list. Awesome, peaceful place.

Kuan Yin Temple, situated on the mountainous terrain of Chaloklum Bay, is a magnificent Chinese temple dedicated to Goddess Kuan Yin. Comprising three buildings, it is the largest and most revered shrine in Koh Pha Ngan. The temple offers breathtaking views of tropical forests and the sea from its highest points. Visitors can explore original relics and find quiet spaces for meditation away from the steady stream of people.
came here in the morning, very dreamy temple with the lush forrest in the back as the sun rose, the beach can also be seen in the distance. there is a 40 baht donation too
Jonnibeans — Google review
We parked our scooter then purchased tickets to enter,it's 40 baht. I wonder if devotees have to paid every time they want to pray or it's just the tourist. We walked around and heard water and found a pipe not closed which is a waste of resources. But really a very well maintained temple but the chandelier is kinda off the subject
Nur L — Google review
The temple is large and vibrant, with a 40 Baht entrance fee per person. While the site is beautiful, I feel that some maintenance could improve the experience, especially since there’s an entry fee. In certain areas, such as on the steps and various spots throughout, the paint was worn, which took away a bit from the overall look. On the positive side, the sheer size of the temple grounds, the impressive architecture, and the variety of altars were wonderful. Surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees, there’s also a lovely view. It’s definitely one of the nicer temples I’ve visited on Koh Phangan. If you’re on the island, it’s worth a visit, though there were quite a few tourists around.

Amber S — Google review

Tal Y — Google review
Beautiful temple, well worth a visit. It is 40 baht to get in but as long as that money is going towards keeping this temple well looked after and colourful then it’s well worth the price of entry. There’s several levels that go up into the hills and there’s great views from the top. Very peaceful spot, the bells jingle in the wind and you do feel like you’ve been transported elsewhere

Lovely beach. It has quite a bit of seaweed but that’s normal. It has bars and restaurants near by. I’d recommend Tommy bar as a seating area.
Alya A — Google review
Amazing beach party with free entry—you only pay for the boat. You can also access by road, but it’s a whole adventure. The trail is in poor condition, so a motorbike can barely get through. It’s better to do the last part on foot.
Pau P — Google review
Beautiful beach. So peaceful and quiet. Awesome for taking some great pictures. The bar had a big variety of drinks. Unfortunately they were pretty expensive. We took two drinks. One was ice cream drink with Oreo flavor which was good but not worth the 200 baht. The second was Orange bliss, fruit shake which was terrible for our taste. We have drank only two slips. So we really recommend the place but unfortunately there are some changes to do.

When you take off the coast of paradise in Koh Phangan to arrive into heaven on earth landing in the bay of Wai Nam, you arrive to a place of transformation. There is no way people who stay here do not leave as believers in better humanity, and feel thankful for what a healthy vibe can bring to one's soul. The facility is managed with super love, to the place, to nature and most important to it's staff whom are part of the experience. Slip N Fly Party is a lively attraction featuring steep waterslides, cocktails, and food in a vibrant party atmosphere. The exhilarating slides launch participants up to 10 meters high, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience. For those seeking a less intense option, there's a slide for foam mat descents. On-site amenities include a restaurant, two bars serving tasty cocktails, and a shallow pool with games like volleyball and twister.
Such a fun spot! Water slides, slip-n-slides, high jump, water volleyball, cabanas, bar/food, beer pong, restrooms, etc; a MUST SEE if you’re in Koh Phangan!
Matt C — Google review
It was fun sliding down for the first few times, and there is nothing much to play with beside the big slide and the small slide beside it. I dont think it was worth 700baht I paid, where we also had to pay 50 baht extra for locker.
Manuelle L — Google review
Best thing we could've done on Koh phangan! Man what an experience! Great great fun!

Great music, food and drink is overpriced. Water wasn't that clean. Slides kinda hurt you when you go down them. Other than that it was okay.
Miguel R — Google review
I have to say this was one of my favourite places. The atmosphere is fabulous, gams kitchen makes the most delicious dim sum and the slides are awesome. There was not one person not having a great time. The acrobatic displays as people gain there confidence going down the slides is amazing. If you are energetic and love to push yourself to the extreme go here. Great place.
Louise G — Google review
The slides are awesome. Exhilerating. They launch you really high in the air, up to 10 meters, so if you land in a bad position it can be painful, but it's definitely very safe. There's also a less intense slide that you go down on foam mats if the big ones are too much for you. There is a restaurant and 2 bars on site with tasty cocktails. Didn't try the food but heard it was good. They also have a shallow pool with a volleyball net and some other games like twister. Had a fabulous time here and would highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved Slip N Fly! This has to definitely be one of the most insane things I have ever done! The slides look really scary when you are at the bottom, but once you have done them once, you just want to do it again and again! The best thing about the whole day was I only paid about 12 pounds! The alcohol was super cheap and the music was awesome! Its also such a great place to meet new people. I will definitely be recommending Slip N Fly to all of my friends back home!

Nestled at the base of Than Sadet waterfalls, Haad Sadet Beach หาดธารเสด็จ is a hidden gem located next to Namtok National Park. This off-the-beaten-path destination allures adventurous travelers with its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery, large boulders, and crystal-clear waters, creating a picturesque setting for relaxation and exploration.
I read the reviews and was about to give it a miss (glad I came because I loved it). The beach has small rocky sand, cold and deep water and it feels very natural. Yes, there is a 100 bath fee since it’s in the National Park, there is ruins and trash (I think the resorts around could take care of it) and there is quite a few dogs for a small beach (but they are so sweet and used to humans). Also a couple of food options there makes it worth the scenic drive.
Zoe K — Google review
Beach is beautiful or would be if not all this mess around it. Even group of 6 dogs was pooping here and there because it all gave them „toilet vibes”. Understand it was windy and floody but so many times saw in Asia tourist and locals throwing their trash under their feet. Shame on you people!
Marcin G — Google review
SCAM! BEWARE! At the front of the beach there’s just an abandoned building. How is this a NATIONAL PARK? Rubbish everywhere (it hasn’t arrived from the ocean). It’s just a dumping spot. 100 Baht???? I’ve never felt so silly in my life paying to come here. I should have looked at the earlier reviews. This is NOT a national park. It is a SCAM. Come if you want to feel as silly as me! 1 star
J B — Google review
Very beautiful beach, very quiet. But you have to pay 100 Baht entrance fee for the national park in which the beach is located. Unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish in some places in the second row.
Philipp T — Google review
I need to be honest. It's not a great beach. And I love dogs! But this one had about 15 stray dogs running around on it. They don't bother anyone. They might lay next to you. But if you don't like dogs you will hate this beach. It just feels unloved. You have to pay money to get to it because it's part of the national park. I didn't know where that money was being spent because it's certainly not on the upkeep of the beach and the surrounding area that's full of rubbish. Plus side is you can visit and climb the waterfall that's at the back of the beach where you drive in. But I personally don't think it's worth a visit.
Scott W — Google review
Not sure what happened to this beach. But everything is broken, ful of rubish. And u need to pay for it. Also a lot of dogs, who are friendly but they ate too many. Wouldn’t recommend a visit.
Maja M — Google review
It’s a pretty place and not difficult to access by motorbike as the roads are paved. It’s a 100 baht per person entry ( pricey compared to Bali for instance ). There are 2 beach restaurant /bars , bungalows, and shaded spots to put a beach blanket down . The water looks clean but not t was windy and a bit too wavy to be appealing for swimming. We took a walk through the rickety bridge and abandoned resort to the next beach, Haad thong reng , Rocky beach even more wavy but picturesque. Sadly some rubbish swept onto the shore from the wind and waves.
MNML J — Google review

Wang Sai is a waterfall in Thailand with an entrance fee of 50 THB per person. However, some visitors feel that the site is neglected and not worth the time and money as the bar was closed and the waterfall was small. It's advised not to rely on Google Maps for directions as it may lead you to a dangerous area. Instead, take a different route that leads to a steep gravel path, so wearing proper walking shoes is essential.
Wow what an amazing spot to hike, to chill. Lots of spots to hang out in the water. Careful on the slippery rocks. Multiple spots to enter in from - busy on the weekends and less busy on the weekday.
Leba C — Google review
It's quite nice for a short trip, the waterfall can be reached after a 10 minute walk followed by a short 10 minute hike that's doable in flip-flops although better bring shoes. The entry fee to the national park area, which the waterfall is in, is 50 baht, which is quite fair.
Simon — Google review
We came here during the dryer season since we just lived 5 minutes away. The waterfall was pretty dry so the nice Thai lady didn’t charge us for admission. It was still worth going inside for a nice hike as well as some rock hopping. Pretty nice area that seems to be constantly being maintained. All in all still a good nature walk for us!
Stanley Y — Google review
Entrance fee is 20 bath worth it to go down very pretty From the main road the road is not the best and i can’t go also by bike more than 100m Maybe i was clumsy or i wasn’t heavy enough but i was sliding side by side on the little pebbles. Personally to me not worth to go by bike 100m upper u can live your bike next to the main road and walk. Recommend also shoes or better sandal u have to walk on rocks flipflop might be not the safest. there are naturists, if it scares someone, it doesn't bother me, you can go topless too

It's a great waterfall, you have basically two ways to get there. 1 is going by the top so you take the Heaven Bar/viewpoint entrance, easy with a short walk you get at the top (20bath cost) 2 you take The Dome entrance then you have a little longer walk but you reach the best are of the waterfall and is a way free of entrance fee.

Haad Than Sadet Beach is a hidden gem located on the east coast of Koh Phangan, stretching about 300 meters in length. This picturesque beach is divided by a charming freshwater estuary that flows from a nearby waterfall, creating an enchanting atmosphere. With its soft white sands and deep waters, it’s perfect for swimming throughout the year, although visitors should be cautious of occasionally rough waves. The beach attracts both adventurous souls and those looking to unwind in tranquility.
The beach it self is beautiful, yes there is a lot of trash behind the beach but it didnt bothered us at all. There are two restaurants the one at the top we visited two times and it was great. You have to pay 100 bath per person and 20 per bike/scooter to get here. Some people are really pissed about the but comon yoyu pay 3 dollars 😅 go cry at home
Lucian B — Google review
Beautiful but decrepit, polluted, abandoned place that calls itself a nature reserve. Abandoned buildings that lay in ruins, sad looking locals who refuse to answer why the beach looks like a war zone. Worth the visit but for 100 baht entrance where is this money going? Not to clean up this disaster. Sad.
Tony D — Google review
Excellent beach, great for swimming, the scenery with the rocks, houses on the hill, jungle bordering the beach - all makes it look amazing. Not crowded at all, 2-3 places to eat, get some drinks, available wooden chairs on the beach. And to get access to wifi :). You can also rent cayaks and sail across the shore. Today, in particular, the water, although green and very clean was not that transparent for snorkelling. Easy to reach by scooter. The only minus would be the smell and dirt in the parking place, lots of garbage left around. Not sure where / if there were toilets, we did not stay that long. Still, when you get on the beach all is amazing.

Haad Than Sadet is a lovely beach where you can enjoy a swim and relax. There's a restaurant right on the beach, making it easy to grab a meal. The beach is perfect for taking beautiful photos, especially with the scenic bridge and rocks in the background. You can also find shady spots to unwind, making it a great place to spend the day.

At Haad Than Sadet Beach, if you walk past the rock on the right side, you’ll find another smaller beach – a nude one. But I got injured by sharp stones or coral on my feet and hand, so I prefer this one because it feels safer.

We had a great time at the kite school with Adun. He taught us how to stand on a wakeboard, and we quickly got the hang of it. Riding at sunset was amazing, and Adun generously offered us a free kite session to introduce us to this thrilling activity !

Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Koh Phangan, Diamond Muay Thai offers an authentic experience for those looking to dive into the world of traditional Thai kickboxing. This camp is perfect for everyone, from beginners eager to learn the sport to fitness enthusiasts aiming to shed some pounds. With a mix of one-on-one championship training and technical group sessions led by experienced instructors, participants can enjoy rigorous lessons in a welcoming open-air environment.
I made memories for life here (stayed for 2 weeks). Diamond Muay Thai is a wonderful camp for people of all levels. I had never done any martial art before—the trainers took me under their wing and focused on building a solid foundation from the get go. That being said, it’s also a great place for experienced fighters (in the 2 weeks I spent there 4 of the trainers competed in local fights and won everything). You are free to choose how much you train and they also offer high quality yoga sessions 3x per week, which I can only recommend. 🙏 Aside from the trainers, the owner and the people running the camp are exceptionally kind and they’ll help you out if you need anything (from ferry tickets to renting scooters, advice for medical care and even just a nice deep talk !). Amenities are well maintained and my bed was really comfortable. I’m very grateful to DMT and to the international friend group I made there during my time. You guys are warm, cheerful and you exceeded my expectations for this trip. 😊

Great place to train for experienced fighters and beginners alike. Diamond attracts diverse group of students. Some are experienced fighters preparing for next fight, some are new and just trying it out. Trainers do good job of tailoring work based on the skill level. Training is always hard but also fun. Most students that stick to the program notice results within a week or two. Train and stay package is not only great value for the money but it allows for very social atmosphere in the camp as well. Big thanks to everyone at DMT. 'Til next time!

Great place for first timers. 2 hours training per session. As hard as you make it. Great value for money. The friendliest trainers and they make you and your training companions feel welcome and part of the family. The shared meals are a great way to make friends after sweating all your fluids into the mats. Train here and you won't regret it. I trained two weeks, stayed in camp for the first week to make friends then opted to stay somewhere else close by as I was in need of some luxuries. I missed the shared meals after I left the camps accommodation so that a big trade off.

Never tried Muay Thai before and spent a week at Diamond, loved it so much and wished we stayed longer. The trainers are friendly and good with beginners (you’re thrown in but you’ll pick it up quick). It is not easy but it is very rewarding - be prepared for constant push ups and lots of skipping! Sessions are from 8am-10am or 4pm-6pm with options for yoga classes 3x a week too. Staying on site is great and you’ll meet amazing people and have so much fun

I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to be back 🙌🏻 I stayed in the camp in the basic hut for 2.5 weeks - and was suprised to learn you can survive in Thailand without an AC! If you book the stay & train package, you’ll get accommodation (there are room types from basic to fancy), two group classes a day (8am and 4pm) and two meals a day at Mama’s next to the gym (10am and 6pm, love the daily meals and the mango shake!). I did private lessons on top of the daily classes (was feeling the time pressure - I wish I could have stayed months here!) and can highly recommend those (nothing better than getting all the attention, right?). I would suggest to do a few of the classes before you decide which of the trainers has the training style you like most. The gym is great, plenty of space, two rings, all kinds of bags from softer ones to those super heavy ones, free weights, kettlebells, battleropes, TRX... the gym floor does get dirty during the day (some people get way too sweaty and not everyone understands to take off their shoes *facepalm) but it’s always swept and washed in the morning. The group training is great but as with everything, if you don’t speak up, you don’t get. If you need help or more attention, just speak to one of the trainers. I did, and it really helped ;) Overall, I can highly recommend . I’m not a major fan of the general Koh Phangan crowd but the people training at Diamond are some of my favourite people ever. And I miss the dogs!!!

Probably my favorite Muay Thai gym experience I've had so far! The community is fantastic, the lessons are varied and the cost was great (thanks for the Covid discount!). The fees are flexible, there are drop-in classes, unlimited weekly, unlimited monthly, and also accomodations. They offer morning classes starting at 8am and evening classes at 4pm. Classes are 2 hrs long. Format: 15 min of cardio (skipping, spinning), stretching, technical cardio training, shadow boxing 2x rounds, 1:1 training and bag work... and then the class will vary, sometimes: sparring, technical moves... Stretching. In between all the breaks, 10 pushups. The accomodations include: huts with a hammock that sleep 1-2, they have apartments with air conditioning nearby (5 min walk), and in the same complex they have luxury apartments where you get a full 1 bedroom (nice if you like hosting people in your space). If you have subscribed to the on-site meals, they look great! I've seen folks eat curry on rice, ground pork/chicken with basil, lean chicken... Oh and there's always a nice runny egg. On-site there's also 'The Carrot Kid' smoothie stand that was apparently Jinx's Covid project. Jinx is also part owner, handles all the $$, smoothie stand and also strength training / fitness component. --- I did not stay with DMT. I paid drop in classes 2x/day starting Tuesday through Saturday. I wish I got the accomodations, because the food looks great, and there's this awesome familiar experience you have with the community after sweating together, to eat together... The nearby places to stay include these bungalows nearby with Airbnb (which I did) and honestly compared to the luxury apartments, the latter is more convenient. I suppose it could have been fun to stay at a resort nearby where you may have to take a 10 min walk to get here.

What a fantastic experience!! I came here as a solo female traveller to train Muay Thai for 1 month. The whole experience was better than I imagined!! The trainers are brilliant, super helpful, always teaching and making sure to add humor to our hours of skipping, pad work and sparring! I was also very lucky as I had a fantastic group of students staying at the same time!! We all forged lovely friendships!! If you are in Pangang, even for just 1 class this is a must!

I've trained at many gyms all around Thailand and easily say I've found my home at Diamond Muay Thai. Owners Jesse, Simon, Jinx and Mon embody the authentic, laid back island vibe. They are so easy to work with and do not stop short of making your experience at the camp, top level. The trainers are elite and a fantastic hospitable bunch! Every single trainer at the gym as amazing tips and tricks to offer and they make sure to keep a friendly and fun atmosphere. From the people you meet, the trainers you work with and the delicious meals you will enjoy over at mamas, puts Diamond Muay Thai at the very top of my all-time favorite gyms.

The Phangan Royal Navy Ship, also known as HTMS Phangan, holds a rich history dating back to its donation by the United States to Thailand in 1957. This naval vessel served during the Vietnam War and was retired in 2008. Despite not being accessible for interior sightseeing during a visit in April 2022, the ship's intriguing past adds to its allure as a tourist attraction.
Cool to look at, sadly you cannot go on board.

If naval fleets are your thing then you might want to stop by here... However.. given the absence of large crowds in general.. I suspect that once seen, is enough for many locals. Still pretty impressive.. but surrounded by a moat. If this was open to the public it would have been a completely different experience. Been there.. seen that.. check.

This site is very interesting and has great potential to become a local tourist attraction. At the moment, you can only view the warship from the outside, but it is still worth stopping by if you are in the area near the pier. A nice spot for a short visit.

If you're dreaming of an unforgettable diving experience, look no further than Plongée Koh Phangan Diving. Nestled in the stunning waters of Koh Tao, this dive school is renowned for its crystal-clear visibility and vibrant marine life, making it a top choice for both novices and seasoned divers alike. Whether you’re aiming to earn your PADI certification or simply want to explore the underwater wonders, there are numerous dive sites waiting to be discovered.
I was travelling to Koh Phangan and accidentally discovered Plongée Koh Phangan Diving at the hotel I was staying at. Antoine, the instructor, was absolutely fantastic. In just one day, he trained me in their 5-meter pool and taught me all the essential techniques for scuba diving. His patience, expertise, and clear instructions made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. If you're looking to learn scuba diving or just want a professional and friendly diving centre, I highly recommend Plongée Koh Phangan Diving. It was an unforgettable experience, and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it.

I took my Open Water Certification here. I chose it because the facilities looked new and well taken cared of. Very good choice, I had a super customized experience with 1 to 1 classes with Antoine, who even took some extra time to show me around some cool places!! Regarding the Diving, everything went absolutely smooth, all well prepared and we'll executed, Lotso of learning and lots of fun!!

This dive shop was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in the diving world. I signed up for both my EFR and Rescue Diver courses here, and it was a disaster from start to finish. To begin with, the shop didn’t even have an instructor certified to teach these courses. They had to bring in someone from another dive shop. Luckily, Sven—the divemaster who taught both courses—was excellent, and the only good part of the entire experience. Before committing to the Rescue Diver course, I asked specifically about adding two dives at Sail Rock. I confirmed the price in advance and even had them write it down. After I paid for both courses, they suddenly changed the price and told me it would cost more. If I had known they were going to pull this, I never would have signed up with them and would have gone to a better, cheaper shop. They also promised multiple dives as part of my Rescue course. In reality, I did just one dive that lasted about 30 minutes. That’s not training—it’s a scam. The worst part is how misleading their whole attitude is. When you walk in, they put on a friendly face, but it doesn’t take long to see they only care about squeezing money out of you. That’s incredibly disappointing, and not at all what the diving community should represent. After this nightmare, I did more diving with Asia Blue, and the difference was night and day. Asia Blue was professional, honest, and a shop I would actually recommend. This place? Avoid it at all costs.

Excellent service for a first time diver. Antoine provided a fantabulous experience. He was very calm and guided me through the whole dive. I had taken a straight open water diving without pool training, but he understood the challenges on those and guided me well. Waited for me to catch up to the speed. Would recommend him for anyone looking for a dive in Koh Phangan.

I completed the Open Water Diver course with Antoine. I had a fantastic time and felt completely professionally supervised. Even when I didn't understand something, it was explained to me in detail and my questions were always answered. The staff at Plongée are very friendly, the pool is ideal for taking the first steps, the place is modern and clean. I highly recommend it, will take my next courses here aswell!

I did my course with the school on the island and my teacher Antonie, and he was so kind and patient from the very beginning. He explained everything clearly and took the time to help me feel comfortable, especially since it was something completely new for me and I was scared. 💖I started the course in the pool and wished I had more time to continue in open water the scuba diving, but Antonie always made sure I felt safe and supported advising me what was the best for me. I went snorkeling, and he really helped me face my fears. He was always caring, professional, and fun to be around — and always put my safety first and explain everything of scuva diving and guide and care the guy who started the class with me. Thank you so much, Antonie, for making this experience so positive and unforgettable and see you next time but for sure I will be not for going on the open water for the scuba diving ahahah <3

I recently completed my Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses at Sail Rock Divers, and it was absolutely incredible. Pete, my instructor, is exceptional - honestly one of the best teachers I've ever worked with in any field. The pool sessions were perfectly structured and iterative, allowing me to make remarkable progress in a short time. During the open water part, I felt completely safe and well-cared for throughout every dive. Pete's teaching style gave me confidence while ensuring I learned proper techniques. As if the excellent instruction wasn't enough, I was lucky to encounter a whale shark during my first open water dives - an unforgettable bonus to an already amazing experience! The entire Sail Rock Divers team made me feel genuinely welcomed from day one. The atmosphere is warm and professional, creating the perfect learning environment. This was truly a life-changing experience. I'll definitely be returning for more courses and diving adventures. Highly recommend Sail Rock Divers to anyone looking to learn or advance their diving skills!

Awesome first time experience. Staff is super helpful. Instructor K was most optimistic and super friendly, his instructions were crystal clear. We enjoyed the diving very much. Costed around 4100baht per person for the beginners course. Included few hours training in the pool with instructor K and our first dive next day early in the morning in the open waters, by the Rock. We got loads of breakfast and lunch on the boat as well as orange juice with electrolytes. Staff was helpful all the way. If I'd do it again - it would definately be with these guys 🥰

Haad Thong Reng is the smaller, secluded sibling of Hat Than Sadet, located around the headland to the south. Accessible by crossing a wooden bridge and trekking over an abandoned bungalow resort, this beautiful beach offers good swimming and a peaceful atmosphere. Despite being technically private property, it is visited by locals and foreigners for its smooth sand and medium-depth water. The journey to Haad Thong Reng is described as an adventure that's absolutely worth it.
The beach is abandoned but has something special. Not so many people know about this spot as it is not easy to get there but that’s good as you can be naked there. Nice views, palms full of coconuts and sometimes you can meet the horses there which shows the uniqueness of this place 😍
Ewelina S — Google review
Beautiful small beach, abandoned resort in the area. Unfortunately the small bay is very polluted by plastic waste in the sea and on the beach. It could have been a small paradise.
Magnus R — Google review
The beach is very beautiful, authentic, unique. However, it is full of very friendly, cute, even very hungry and thirsty dogs. So before you go there, buy wet food for them, because when you get there, you will definitely regret not doing that because the dogs are skinny and starving.
Austeja Z — Google review
Secret beach with abandoned buildings scattered around the area. The sea was clean but it had lots of trash washed up on the beach. Very sad It was empty except one couple meditating, seemed to be one in tact house behind the beach. Very beautiful place
Adayna J — Google review
Very pretty little beach, the way to it is a bit tricky. When you pass the wooden bridge turn right and walk ( close to the water side) for 2-3 min then take the stairs that pass trough 2 old villas and after that there is a pathway that leads you to the abandoned resort. You need to smuggle yourself under broken fence. There are also many horses there to see.

WARNING!!! Tourist trap. Awful trash covered beach with some of the harshest surf on the Island. After paying 100 baht to enter a "National Park" you immediately enter a world of trash and old, disused buildings left to rot. Don't go near it. Go to Good Boi beach instead.

Beautiful abandoned secret beach. A bit tricky to get to- you have to cross a wooden bridge and trek over an abandoned bungalow resort. Technically it is private property; however, locals and foreigners alike come visit for a swim. It’s also sometimes popular with nude sun bathers too. Not nice for swimming. Not sure if it was just my expectations vs reality but I was expecting a lovely tropical beach and was met with VERY shallow water and coral pieces sticking out. There was one small section on the very left of the beach (when facing the ocean) that had a tiny area deep enough to lie in. I thought it must be low tide but apparently that was the highest the water goes.

Great parties at Lost Paradise that go on 24 hours. Feel free to bring everything you might need, like sunscreen, hairbrush, spare clothes, picnic blanket, etc to use the next day because you can just put your bag anywhere when you’re dancing and no one would be interested to steal it. Maybe just carry your phone and money in a fanny pack. Bring plenty of cash AND don’t hesitate to ask the bar to see “the other menu” 😉

Really didnt enjoy this beach. First, the sea was covered in spikes so you get easily pricked. Beware. Second, there is a massive crowd and it feels very noisy, chaotic and uncomfortable being there. Third, do not expect to get good food here, their menu items are limited and La Claire tastes horrible. Fourth, the sea water and sand isnt that clear it feels polluted as theres a lot of debris and things thrown in the sea which arent originally from there. Fish tacos in laclaire dont taste that good

Than Nam Rak Waterfall is a breathtaking cascade situated on the route to the Dom Sila viewpoint in Koh Phangan. It offers trails suitable for various hiking levels, with an option for a more challenging hike along the stream. Despite lower water flow during dry periods, it's still recommended as a refreshing break from beach activities.
What can I say, this is pure nature! Beautiful waterfalls in the middle of the jungle. Wear good shoegear and check the weather forecast so you can enjoy this to the maximum and give yourself a refreshing bath in the nature pools. There's a nature trecking path with many signs and explanations about the different plants and trees you see throughout the jungle. Definitely worth a visit.

The view from the viewpoint is amazing. You are able to see the half island from end to end. It takes around 15 minutes to get up to the top but it's really worth the time. The way up is pretty tough. There are rocks and roots in the way but ropes were on the side to support. I would recommend good shoes (not just sandals) and a bottle of water.

Nice hike, but there was no water in the first waterfall. Nature is still worth visiting. And the second waterfall had water, as you can see in the picture. Also not suitable for scooters or motorbikes. I walked 6 km to get there and it was totally worth it. Highly recommended for nature lovers and adventurers!

The best beach in KPG, the water is actually deep, fresh and clean unlike the beaches on the western side of the island. Getting there is an adventure, the path is very steep at times and slippery gravel. Definitely not accessible by any kind of vehicles, even 4x4. But the views, just WOW! We camped at the beach, waking up on the beach to these views is a true paradise. Stunning.

There is no way to reach the beach by land other than by foot. It is a really cool private location, if you can get there. We followed the last road on the right that starts just before the concrete road ends. It is abandoned dirt road that we had to walk, you might be able to ride a dirt bike or quad on it though. Once you get to the stream, you have to continue by foot. We found the road disappeared after the stream so we followed the stream down to the beach. It was a difficult climb down, but completely worth it.

Incredible beach with stunning views and almost no human traces. Located in the heart of the jungle, it can be accessed by boat or via a challenging road, either by bike or on foot.

Are you looking to be away from everybody? This is the place for you to reach the silice and nature's piece, I like bed the beach and the coconuts trees all around, it's a quite hard to get there but it worthy for sure.

The beach is really quiet and extremely beautiful, there are two sweet girl dogs who live on the beach. They’re beautiful and gentle, and they could really use a little help. If you’re visiting, please consider bringing some food for them. 🙏🏻❤️

Thong Nai Pan Yai Viewpoint is a must-visit destination on Koh Phangan Island, situated in the northeast near the resort of the same name. The viewpoint offers a stunning panoramic view of the palm-fringed coastline. While the climb to the top is steep, it rewards visitors with one of the most beautiful viewpoints on Koh Phangan. Accessible via stairs behind a white building, this spot provides an unforgettable experience despite its challenging ascent.
Nice viewpoint. Just walk up the stairs behind the last white building. Steps are partially covered with leaves and branches. Watch out for thorns and there's barbed wire at the top just before the viewpoint. The view point sign fell off the tree, but you can recognize the summit, when you're standing at the big black rock that you can see from the beach.

The view from Thong Nai Pan Yai Viewpoint was decent, nothing jaw-dropping, but still a nice panoramic look over the bay. It's a quiet spot, good for a quick stop if you're nearby. That said, the number of mosquitoes was a real downside. Even with repellent, they were relentless. I couldn’t stay long enough to really enjoy the view because I was too busy swatting bugs. Worth a short visit if you're already in the area, but come prepared or you’ll regret it.

Beautiful view on Thong Nai Pan Yai beach, difficult route up with steps, but should to see.

We started at the bottle temple and walked up. The trail was closed off. They are building a large Buddha statue in the future. It was not worth the hike. However, the mini golf nearby was a great family activity.
Steve M — Google review
Well well well, honestly that was not expected hike Hahaha but worth it! I hike with my flats by the way , but I'm used to it. But very intense hike and you have to be careful a d always bring water. Dangerous on the top, just incase you are scared of heights.
