This is a beautiful shrine surrounded by some well kept lovely gardens . Not a destination attraction but definitely worth the detour if passing nearby . Lots of street parking and no fee to enter .

Nice little shrine to walk through if you’re passing by, but it’s not worth travelling for otherwise. The place is lit up beautifully at night although they close it so you can’t get close by. In daytime it’s nice to sit by for a short while and just relax as it’s very quiet without many visitors.

As a tourist it is an interesting place to visit. Typical Thai fresh market, that has lots of fresh products including, meats, seafood and fresh vegetables. At the front enterance, on the right is a stall selling fresh flowers and orchids. You can also see the locals hand making garlands

Nice local market. Good for wondering around or for locals to pickup some fresh ingredients. Not much to do for tourist. 2nd floor has some dry food like candy canned food and snacks. Good for picking up souvenirs too.

You'll get what you need. The shops inside weren't so impressive and it's dull. Most people shop outside, behind the market building. A huge wet market, some vegetable shops, coconut milk etc. Both quite messy and smelly. Also more chaotic than usual.

I got red wine watermelon smoothie medium rare steak coconut curry and finished with a Thai tea tiramisu. Everything was perfection. The meat was cut with a spoon it was so tender the curry had amazing flavor. The wine was so nice and the smoothie was so refreshing. The dessert had multiple different custard toppings from a coffee flavored one to a raspberry flavored one. Not my favorite in the world but it was different and it was super good and for somebody else they may love it. All in all it was delicious. Pricey but delicious. That meal came out to be around 1200 baht. It was super good however and if I wanted to splurge on a nice dinner again I would return.

The food here is absolutely delicious! The starters are great, the pizzas are definitely a highlight, and the ribs were perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. If you’ve got room for dessert, don’t hesitate; they’re fantastic and won’t disappoint. The only downside was the seating. Inside, the restaurant was quite loud, and the air conditioning was a bit too strong. Outside was more pleasant, but there were quite a few mosquitos. However, these minor inconveniences didn’t take away from the overall experience. All in all, it’s a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal and comes highly recommended!

Omg just passing through on the way to the airport and we wish we were staying g for more meals here! This place gets 5 stars for sure. Incredible delicious food and the service is top quality! We loved the suggestions and richly local culture dishes mixed with the usual international friendly pizza, burgers, fries…. But again… top quality. If only restaurants where I’m from in California were like this I’d be so happy!

The place itself looks great, and the servers were nice. However, I’d say the quality of the food doesn’t quite match the price. For example, the rice was very off! I didn’t enjoy the flavors or textures. The pork ribs, though, were great!

Nice ambiance with eclectic western jass new age music. Great diverse selection of international beers. Mistake made on wife's order but waitress promptly corrected. I had the pork knuckles. I was disappointed: pork over cooked and the portion of creamed potatoes served was " miniscule". This is not a French fusion restaurant. It is a very nice western American style high quality restaurant where you should expect more generous portions to accompany your entrees. I wanted to give higher rating but the paper towel dispenser for drying face and hands in Men's bathroom was empty. When I asked supervisor at cashier if this is a Michelin, why weren't there any paper towels, she just shook her head like nothing was wrong.

Terrible pizza, overpriced, no flavor, staff are really rude and just want your money. Please don't waste your money here unless you enjoy giving people your money who hate you as foreigners. I'm sorry to say these things but I was charged 300 baht for tomotoe and mushroom on some bread, they won't see my money ever again. The place needs lessons on manners.

I’ve visited this pizza place in Surat Thani three times with a friend, and it’s been amazing every time. The pizzas are consistently delicious—thin crust, fresh ingredients, and packed with flavor. Each visit felt just as good as the first. The staff is friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Owner and his family are excellent hosts. The pizza and pasta is the best I've had in Southern Thailand. Homemade pasta and many other tasty items. They love pizza so much the owners named their daughter Cheese.

I had a lasagna tonight. I think this was one of the best I've had in Thailand. Real Italian taste, what even didn't need extra salt, pepper or whatever. The owner and staff are very friendly people, who will make you the best food they can. Everything fresh. The lasagna already cut to peaces. Tasted way better than it looks like in the picture.

We were craving pizza and found this place — it was delicious! The crust is thin and crispy. I personally prefer it a bit thicker, as it was really just a very thin layer, but it was still super tasty. We had a Margherita pizza and it cost 250 baht. ( a bit expensive tho )

Decor is not great but the service and the food are very good. Both Italian and Mexican food. The chips and salsa (with real sour cream as well) were the best I've had in Thailand. Don't let the appearance fool you, it's an excellent restaurant.

Found this place a year ago while waiting for the night ferry and was very happy to discover it had amazing craft beers locally brewed in Thailand 🇹🇭 One year later even happier to find it still here and even more craft beers! Reasonably priced too compared to everywhere else I've found them. Really friendly staff too happy to talk about beer and anything else 😄🙏. We noticed Sweet Kitchen as we were walking by, it looked nice so we went in. We took a seat and menus were brought over. I ordered the Garlic Pepper Chicken and Spring Rolls. My girlfriend ordered Stir Fried Chicken with Basil and Rice. The interior was attractive with tile floors and wood and brick on the walls. There is seating for 20+ inside. We both enjoyed our meals, very tasty! There is one thing, it's just a pet peeve of mine and I didn't deduct from the final score because of it. One of the tables was being used as an office, the owner (I'm guessing) was sitting there working on his laptop. In my opinion the dining area is for customers, not for office work. I find it distracting and it takes away from the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

The food was reall6 fresh and light. Imagine all the Thai favors that you've enjoyed, but the lighter and just as tasty version. Pricing was great, and they're and ton of options for all types of eaters.

Take the boat tour, very serene. Cost only 20 baht per person. The market is full of local food and there’s seating areas along the canal. Parking is well organized and available for free at the temple next to the market.

This market open only on Sunday so check this before you go. Many nice shops with traditional foods and local products. U You can park in the temple and just walk across the bridge. There are also the tourist boat where you can spend sometimes with the canal and nature. People there are super 👍. This is another place in Suratthani you shouldn't miss.

Last week of our 5 week food safari of Chiangmai and Surat Thani. This is a beautiful and peaceful floating market, with a very wide range of food stalls, several shophouse style and also full restaurant style venues. A delightful place.

Cute little park, located on an island in the river. Nice place for a jog or a stroll. I walked all the way around in about 20 minutes. Peaceful there, with just the sounds of birds calling, until a long tail boat comes by, that is. Wow, they are noisy! But the park itself is clean and well maintained. Exercise equipment looks shiny and new. Two toilet blocks within the park.

Come here to relax and enjoy a walk, ride your 🚲 and bring food ( fish food) for the fish. Be on the lookout for big lizards! I really liked this place, great for exercising and playing any type of ball sports. The park have many places to sit and also under some shades.

The track is degrading, run barefoot and you will take a lot of the blue track away with you on the bottom of your feet. Other facilities - many different sports areas and a swimming pool. Could not see any sign to indicate opening times or price for the pool.

A provincial stadium/ multi purpose sports arena. Nothing special, nothing bad. Shows its age but has enough infrastructure to host larger events like the marathon.

Good running track but is worn down. At this time the city was renovating the seating and stadium areas so hopefully next year when I visit it will be better.

Suratthani stadium which is the place where lots of people doing exercise and hang out. Next to the stadium, also have the Suan Luang Rama IX park, which has nicer weather because of the shady trees than at the Surat stadium. You can choose whether to go to Suan Luang or Surat stadium due to the weather at that time. But if talking about a variety of sports and equipment, the stadium has lots of exercise facilities for people of all ages, such as tennis courts, aerobics, football, futsal, petanque, boxing, basketball, swimming pool, etc. The most popular exercise here is running because of the running track, which has fences to prevent accidents from all types of vehicles. There are also things that should be improved, such as little parking. When you come by car, it might take some time to find a place to park. The toilet is quite dirty, dark, and far from people, so it is a bit scary. You better ask some friends to go with you. After all, if you want to find a place to exercise, this Suratthani stadium is where I recommend you.

This is a great place by the river where u can take a stroll..there are also quite a number of stalls along the road but only 1 or 2 stalls provide halal food. I wish to see more halal street food in surat thani...it is such a beautiful town

Every time I love to visit this place if you go there you will see decorations or something else

Temple that is active, monks on grounds. One of the buildings depicts the life of Buddha through different paintings along the upper walls. The paintings are supposedly 155 years old. Similar to the old Catholic style of giving images for those who don't understand the sermon.

Never made it to the Wat as a family just inside the gate were asking for money and letting three dogs run loose, growling and baring teeth.

Decent amount of parking but leaving the park during heavy traffic is rough. There is no traffic light or still sign at the intersection.

It's a park for activity. I couldnt find great quiet private areas to sit down. Its full of workout stuff. And a track. Many jog and exercise here. Great sized playground for kids its nice and classic as could be. I prefer the Koh Lamphu island for peace and quiet even though they have activity capability over there too. Needs to be expanded really from my observations, cut thru the tall grass outskirts and made into trails and or peaceful seating zones away from the main loop pond and "work out track" where its all about exercise at this park.

Run by one of the most authentic, loving and fun woman we have ever met. Somjai's work with the animals is characterized by so much experience, dedication, patience, humour and love for animals. Having this experience was really something very special for us. Not only were we shown and explained the training process, but we also learned all kinds of things about monkeys and working with them, as well as coconut cultivation and processing in general. We had the pleasure of visiting the Monkey Training College today and we are still deeply impressed! The owner took so much time for us and explained with such love and passion how she works with the animals. You can immediately feel how much she cares about the well-being of the monkeys and her dogs. It was fascinating to see how the monkeys skillfully picked the coconuts from the trees and how much joy they had while doing it. They offered guided walks around the property, where I got to meet the furry residents up close. Additionally, they organize guided tours to the many attractions around their property, like a boat trip over Tapee River, the night market in Surat Thani, or visit to the Khamin Cave. The food was another highlight. Fresh, locally-sourced ingredients were transformed into delicious meals, served with a side of friendly conversation. It was clear that the hosts put their heart into every dish, just as they did with everything else on the property. Overall, my stay was an unforgettable experience. It’s not just a holiday accommodation; it’s a home away from home, especially for those who cherish the company of animals. We had a wonderful day at the Monkey Training College in Surat Thani. Somjai is the most welcoming host. She is very kind, funny and attentive. It was great to see her working with the monkeys and the demonstration was super fun. For the record: we love excursions with animals but are always avoiding the ones where animals are treated cruel. There was no sign of animal cruelty here what so ever. It was very endearing to see how familiar the monkeys were with Somjai. She was treating them with the utmost respect, also when they were naughty, only using rewards to get them to do things in stead of punishment. The monkeys all seemed very relaxed around Somjai. They knew what was expected of them and didn’t seem to mind their ‘chores’ at all. Just like obedient kids in school, doing what their teacher asks them. There really is no difference in keeping a dog and learning it to obey from what Somjai does with her monkeys. We stayed for a couple of hours so Somjai had arranged a tasty Pad Thai from a neighboring restaurant. And she had made us Thai spring rolls that were the best. Afterwords she served us different flavors of homemade ice cream, all made with coconut milk. A very nice treat, especially for the kids. All in all a very pleasant day, great for all ages. Itinerary: We took the night train from Bangkok to Surat Thani, had some breakfast along the way, visited the monkeyschool and later in the afternoon we took the boat to Koh Phangan from the Tapee Pier which is only a 20 minute drive.

We had a very interesting afternoon with the lovely mrs Somjai. She shows her work with passion and love and has a very big knowhow about the monkeys and the coconuts. We could have stayed the whole afternoon. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

Had an amazing and educational time at the Monkey Training College! It's not your typical animal 'farm' which makes it very personal and fun. Somchai is very knowledgeable and cares for the monkeys very much. The location is a little bit out of the way, however well worth the trip if you have some time and are interested to know more about how these monkeys are trained for use on the farms by local farmers. Beautiful Buddhist temple. Outside the temple is decorated with what appears to be golden statues, intracite designs, and pillars. Inside is a giant cross legged Buddha who towers over the room. Under Buddha is an alter. Beautiful artwork is surrounding the remainder of the room. With a massive door on the far end depicting animals in heaven.

The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and a peaceful lake. There are plenty of activities like canoeing, hiking, and boat tours that let you truly enjoy the nature. Everything feels calm and magical. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and adventure!

I would definitely recommend doing a 2 day 1 night tour as you get to see loads of the national parks sights and you get to wake up on the lake which in my case was spectacular. However be prepared for very basic overnight conditions but it made no difference to us.

A beautiful park, I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're in Khao Sok!! Although everyone speaks about the lake tours as if this is the only activity in Khao Sok, we found this amazing park full of beautiful scenery of many types - a wild jungle, divine waterfalls & stunning rivers. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and you can either enter on your own and walk until a limited point (about 6km back & forth) or you can take a guide and walk further. If you do decide to take a guide, make sure to book them in advance. We decided to walk on our own, so we have more privacy, and it took us about 3 hours long, including some stops on the way, and dipping in the amazing Wing Hin waterfall. To conclude, if you're looking for a more unique and custom made experience in Khao Sok, this is definitely a most visit.

While I loved the park and everything about it, I'd like to bring to attention this boatman guy/ guide, and request all to avoid him to have a stress free trip. This guy speaks no English, and if he does, refuses to talk- as a guide, that is one of the major things one should do. He smoked weed/ some narcotic, made us pay for kayaking (which we had already paid for to our tour operator) - since it was only a 100Baht per person, the three of us who had booked the boat privately paid again because this guy refused to communicate. At the caves, he walked on at his own pace, shining the light randomly, and made to exit within 5 minutes. Thankfully we latched onto another group who had an English speaking guide to make sense of the wonders of the cave. We managed to click a whipping scorpion and a cricket with that group- a stark difference. After leaving the cave, he stopped in the middle of the water to light another joint, at which point we thought it a good idea to fly our professional camera drone for some photography. As soon as our drone gained some height, the boatman moved the boat forward, when we shouted at him with sign language to stop the boat.
