The Lyceum Theatre is a historic venue located in the center of town, offering a variety of entertainment including drama, musicals, comedy, and pantomime. Originally a Roman Catholic church built for the Irish railway workers in the 19th century, it was later rebuilt as a theater after being destroyed by fire in 1910. With seating for 1,250 people, this Edwardian theatre has retained its unique charm and elegance over its more than hundred-year history.
Fantastic !! I've not been to a panto in 20-odd years and took my daughter. Really interactive for adults and it was entertaining throughout! So good. Thank you to the entertainers. Beauty and the beast was outstanding.

A beautiful theatre. Very good atmosphere. Watched Showaddywaddy. They were brilliant. Liked it as close to the stage wherever you sat. Would definitely recommend. Only downfall is parking but was definitely worth going. Xx

Such a beautiful building. The show was excellent and hours of rehearsals had been put into the dances and singing. Was with a wheelchair user and staff were very helpful. Highly recommend!

Myself and my Dad, have had a lovely evening at Crewe Lyceum. The staff at the theatre were fantastic and lovely, they passed on a card I had for Ardal as it was his birthday last week. Thank you to the staff for passing on the card. We came to see Ardal O’Hanlon Not Himself tour. The warm up act Marjolein Robertson was brilliant. It was lovely to see the amazing Ardal O'Hanlon, the show was fantastic. I’m looking forward to visiting again this Friday (17/10/25) to see Russell Watson and my Dad & myself are looking forward to our return visit to Crewe Lyceum in January (30/01/26) when Chris McCausland returns with his tour Yonks.

What a great night out at Crewe Lyceum Theatre, very reasonably priced tickets for Ardal O'Hanlon, Not himself Comedy stand up show that is currently touring around the UK. The Lyceum Theatre was lit up in all its glory, as we entered our tickets were scanned and we went to the downstairs bar for a pre show drink. Little high in price as a pint is £7, They do run a pre show meal so it might be worth looking into that, other alternative check out HUNGS noodle bar you can sit in and have a really nice meal for £10. 15 mins before curtain up we went through to find our seats we were towards the back in the details but being a small theatre the view was very good. Show was around two hous thirty minutes with a interval. Was a such a good show we were laughing from start to finish. Big thankyou to the 2 ladies that welcomed us warmly at the entrance also the friendly bar staff. We parked at Browning Street car park and walked 400 to 500 meters down to the thearte as this was the free option paid parking in the town centre and Thomas Street or there's is Asda. All in all a great night out at the Lyceum which we will be returning to in the very near future.

Great theatre and The Utimate Classic Rock Show one of the best we have seen . Great might
David B — Google review
I went to the Jack Dee show and sat in the circle for the first time. Unfortunately, I could barely fit into the seat as there was not enough leg room, something that had not been a problem in the stalls. I approached one of the staff, a young blonde lady. She immediately called the manager, who arranged alternative seating for me and my two friends. No fuss, no trouble, just perfect courtesy and consideration. They helped make the evening even more special. Thank you.
Zac M — Google review
First time visiting this theatre last night. Nice little Theatre, only complaint is the seats are quite small, and not much leg room, so a bit of a struggle if you're tall. We were in the Gallery and still had a decent view of the stage. I would attend this Theatre again though.

Nestled in the heart of Crewe, the Crewe Heritage Centre is a delightful indoor and outdoor rail museum that invites visitors to delve into the rich tapestry of railway history. Open on weekends, this charming attraction showcases an impressive collection of vintage locomotives, signal boxes, and model railways from across the UK. The main exhibition hall features rotating displays that highlight the evolution of locomotive and carriage construction at the historic Old Works site, which dates back to Victorian times.
This was a fascinating museum to visit, showing many different types of trains! The intercity is open to walk across and see the red plus blue seating, alongside the refreshments cabin and even the cab can be wandered around. Signalling equipment is displayed extensively across both a large room upstairs and a signal box, signal points map is shown too. Model railways are admirable in how well they have been crafted, shelter has information about trains shown and the mini railway was a good shout even!
K. P — Google review
My father and I came to the Crewe Heritage Centre last weekend for my birthday. We had a fantastic day out! This place does a tremendous job celebrating and honouring Crewe’s history and contributions to railways, with a great range of engines & coaches to look at, the signal boxes are terrific to look around, there are some fantastic model railway layouts and a great miniature railway to ride on. There’s plenty of activities for children, and some craft workshops to partake in as well. The gift shop has a good range of books and souvenirs to purchase, there’s a good canteen to purchase food and drink from and there are benches outside on the grounds to sit down and enjoy a picnic. The observation deck is brilliant as well, allowing people to watch trains go through Crewe Station. Overall, Crewe Heritage Centre offers lots of stuff for visitors to enjoy and provides a great day out for families. Big thanks to all the volunteers who shared so many interesting stories, facts about the railways and Crewe’s importance to the railway effort. Really had a great day and will gladly come back again!

Excellent place with some great exhibits and enthusiastic volunteers. Loved being able to walk through the APT-P, sitting in first and second class, the cab, and viewing the buffet, replete with manky British Rail sandwiches! Strange opening times though (weekends and bank holidays and Wednesdays in school holidays), and surprisingly few visitors. This place needs more support!
John W — Google review
Great visit, spent about 3 hours looking around, its a small place but with loads to look at. With real train cabs, signal boxes, train interiors etc. Including the first ever british tilting train! There was a signal box which you could stand outside and look over the Crewe station junction which is a great train spotting place!
George C — Google review
If you love memories of the British Railway Travel and Systems this is the place to go! The staff are really friendly and helpful, they have a functional signal box with amazing assistants to guide you on how to use them and learn about them. Also it's the home of the APT-P which you can get into the cab of. And also a lovely example of freightliner class 90. A must see if your passing Crewe!
Liam T — Google review
An excellent museum of more recent railway trains. Go back to the 1970s and go in the APT (Advanced Passenger Train). This was the prototype of other fast modern trains (the Pendolino for example). You can sit in the driving seat of a number of fairly recent diesel and electric locomotives. Signaling is the core of railway travel and there are signal boxes of various generations to watch operate (or operate yourself). Some fine model railways compete the experience. It suits young and not so young railway enthusiasts.
Mark H — Google review
An interesting day out, and a must-see stop for any rail enthusiast. It's smaller than I expected, but there's plenty to see and you can certainly spend a few hours here. The famous APT is the star attraction, but the miniature railway is great fun, and there are some brilliant model railway displays too. The rooftop viewing deck gives you some top-notch WCML trainspotting opportunities. The heritage centre could use a little more love and doubtless more money to really thrive, in this iconic spot on the railway network.
Alastair S — Google review
Absolutely loved our visit there. I went with my nan & my almost two year old. There was crafts and puzzles and train sets to play with as soon as you walk in. My son loved looking inside the trains. He also loved riding on the kids train with me and his Nan, I even enjoyed it a little myself hahaha. Wonderful little place, the staff are volunteers from what I gathered and it was just so nice to have such a personal experience. One of them played a ‘can you find the…’ game with my son looking at the miniature train set ups, and on the ride, they gave my son a green flag to wave when we had to go at each station. So friendly & we even got given a little green flag to bring home which he has not stopped waving about. Nothing but wonderful things to say about the place & definitely will be taking him again, he loved it. Turned into the cutest afternoon❤️ thank you volunteers you are amazing

Nestled in the charming town of Nantwich, Nantwich Museum is a delightful local history museum that invites visitors to explore the rich tapestry of this historic area. Established in 1980 within a former library building, which intriguingly once housed a gaol, the museum offers both permanent and temporary exhibitions that vividly illustrate Nantwich's past.
Absolute must see if you're in Nantwich. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. The museum is bright, warm and presented well. Thank you for your time. We had a wonderful experience. Everyday is a learning day, we learnt so much in a short space of time.

Nice Historic town. Lovely church and museum. Museum is quite compact but has plenty to look at for a town of it's size. It gives a good background to the town. Plenty of decent shops and eateries in the near vicinity.
Grant W — Google review
I visited Nantwich Museum on VJ Day to learn about the history of this beautiful town. 'Nant' means 'stream' and 'wich' means 'well', so it has always been an ideal place for online activities. In 1086, 20 years after England won the World Cup, there were 8 salt houses in Nantwich, according to the Magna Carta. It is marked on the 14th Century Darren Gough Map, and was first recorded as a settlement at the time of the Greg Norman conquest, when the town was burnt to the ground. The Great Fire of 1583 burnt the East Side to the ground and 4 bears had to be released to avoid being engulfed in flames. Cheese was buried in the ground by Samuel Pepys, but the cheesemakers industry rose like a phoenix from the flames, along with salt production and the tanning industry. 1644 (not 4.44pm) saw the Battle of Nantwich, in which Parliamentarian Nantwich were victorious over the Royalists. The most momentous occasion happened in 1952, when Nantwich Town F.C. played Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup. United, with 2 Busby Babes who lost their lives at Munich (Duncan Edwards and David Pegg), won 23-0 against the 'Dabbers'. However, Nantwich Town made up for this when they won the FA Vase in 2006, so the contents of their trophy room consists of a green & yellow carpet and the FA Vase trophy, maybe with some flowers in it ?

Very interesting visit. Great display of Civil War information pertaining to battle of Nantwich. A very well laid out museum highlighting history of the area. Staff very friendly.

Wonderful free museum in Nantwich, local history, exhibition on the civil war in Nantwich. Easy access by rail from Shrewsbury. Well worth a visit during holly holy weekend in January

A lovely, bigger then expected, museum that teaches local children the history of Nantwich. My son came here with his school and really enjoyed it so I decided to pop in as well. Didn't have much time to explore but I loved looking at the artifacts.
J B — Google review
It was ok there was lots of information to take in about the local area and a bit on the work house it is based in, for me I missed the authenticity of the building, some knowledgeable staff, all pleasant. Worth a visit as it is an eye opener as to how a work house came to be.
Dave M — Google review
Fantastic museum in the ancient town of Nantwich in Cheshire. Pre Roman town occupied by the Romans during thier time in Britain, mainly due to the salt mined here, which in Roman times was more valuable than gold! Museum has many hundreds of exhibits dating back to Roman and even pre-Roman times. Souvenirs, postcards and gifts available. Free entry (voluntary donation). A MUST VISIT if you are in Nantwich! 0

The vintage vibe of the mall provides a pleasant venue for shopping and leisurely walks.
Went into Peacocks to get clothes for my Dad (who is in a care home). Their men's clothing range was very reasonably priced & I found all the long sleeved t shirts and jumpers he needed. The staff there were very helpful and I even received NHS discount.

Several empty units, as is often the case in many town centres. Just feels like this is particularly badly hit. Shame, really, as what IS there is pretty good.

Car parking for the theatre at Crewe is behind this building so you need to walk through or around it. How odd I haven't been asked to review the theatre where I watched a show for two hours but was asked to review a building I didn't even enter.

Very little shops in Winsford Centre since B& M built. Too big for small town at cost of other smaller shops. Ghostntown now. Such a shame after all the years of promises of variety & improvements after rhe 1960 's shops were collapsing after they were in bad state if repair. New B& M i found expensive for alot of items. Monistrosity

Bar
Hops Belgian Bar is a cozy and intimate cafe offering an impressive variety of beers including bottled, draught, ciders, lagers, and cask ales. The bar features wooden tables and chairs as well as leather sofa chairs with an additional upstairs drinking area. Located at the end of Prince Albert Street, it provides a friendly atmosphere where patrons engage in conversations without the distraction of TV. Visitors praise the excellent selection of ales from around the world and commend the knowledgeable and amiable staff.
Think they used to do chips and olives (and Loosa juices) but Folkington appears to be an excellent brand of juice as a replacement. As is the easily accessible bar snack point of sale. Also on the non-alcoholic front I also can throughly recommend 0% Kölsch - it knocks spots off 0% Leffe .

Very nice pub about 20 minutes walk from Crewe railway station. High quality beer selection with both British cask ales and Belgium beers. Nice interior with pictures and beer signs covering the walls and a beer garden at the front of the pub with a friendly resident cat.

Located in Crewe, the Bentley factory is not just a manufacturing site; it’s an experience waiting to be discovered. Visitors flock to this remarkable destination to witness the artistry behind each vehicle, from the newly unveiled electric supercars celebrating their centenary to the historic models that tell tales of innovation and heritage.
Went to the newly opened 'customer experience centre' - what a fantastic experience! The new cars are out of this world (and my budget!!!) But the historic collection are brilliant, made all the better by the excitement and tension of them being kept behind closed doors. Restaurant
Gio's Italian offers traditional Italian food in a tall-windowed restaurant with brick-arches. The food is delicious and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Although there was some smoke from the kitchen, it was worth braving for the amazing food.
Amazing vegan food!!! The best vegan cheesy garlic bread I’ve EVER eaten! I also tried the lasagna and risotto stuffed peppers- all were delicious. Cosy restaurant with great atmosphere… really good service and a reasonable price! Highly recommended!!
Tracey W — Google review
Wow… incredible food, hospitality and atmosphere. Already planning our next trip. I don’t know what it is with Italians but they usually never elevate themselves from a mid tier restaurant. They also tend to have the same menus for 40 years so if you’ve been a few times there’s really no need to go again. Gio’s is not that. The craftsmanship and flavour that goes into each dish is next level. The atmosphere and interior design are bob on. The service is top tier. It was 4 of us, 2 couples on a rare evening out from kids. We went all out, starters, mains and hopefully dessert (but we didn’t manage it). All plates were deliciously fresh and well thought out. The menu has loads of vegetarian options too and marks them clearly, it also presents dishes as can be made vegan to further push the options in their menu. The centre piece of the whole meal though was Gio’s punch which was a huge jug of primarily orange punch. It was astoundingly and so refreshing for an evening in the summer. There were a couple of minor issues which is expected at any restaurant at some point. For me it’s how the restaurant deals with them. The staff and owner were quick to rectify everything and never argued. There was an 8% service charged added to the bill in the end which we were happy to pay and the whole thing came to £150ish which we thought was great value for money on what we’d experienced. Thank you Gio’s and see you again in the future.
Adam L — Google review
What a gem! It’s not often I go out to eat in my hometown but our evening at Gio’s was top class. The service was great, staff were welcoming, well organised and attentive. The food was wonderfully tasty and authentic. The portion sizes are generous and so are the prices. I also absolutely loved the decor. They have curated such a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. 10/10 all around. Couldn’t recommend this place more. I’ll definitely be back soon!
James B — Google review
Wow. I’ve been wanting to come here for such a long time! My friend kindly booked us a table for my birthday at the end of June. Of course the day we went it had to be one of the hottest days of the year 🥵and although this is a total “me” problem I’m not that great with the heat and knew hot food was the worst idea possible 🙃 As soon as we got there, the staff and team were super friendly, and sat us to our table which was luckily right by the open door providing a much needed breeze, we were then given plenty of time to look at the menu and the waiter was more than happy to answer questions about the sizes of the dishes and what specials were available? (I wish I had listened more at this point as I feel like I missed out on a really delicious special which luckily is going to be put as a firm favourite on the main menu using a gorgeous vegan barrata cheese and a vegan do nduja pork, substitute. I went for the garlic mushrooms and the Capra pizza which was balsamic onions, spinach and I swapped the goats cheese for the vegan feta while my friend went for the arancini balls and one of the calzones. We also both got the rosemary chips which were heavenly 🤤 My mushrooms came out on a sizzling plate, which is normally amazing except for when I was that hot, both the waiter and the owner could see how much I was struggling with the heat and straight away turned on the air-conditioning and offered to move us to a cooler table (which we declined as we didn’t want to be a pest.) I ended up taking my whole pizza home because I couldn’t bear the thought of eating anything while I was that hot and the owner kindly explained what’s the best way to heat up their pizzas and also offered us one of their own personal rocket ice lollies just to help us cool down, which was such a kind gesture thought and was not at all what we expected. The best thing for me apart from the sensational food and the passion that the owners had for Italy was the fact they were vegan and they told us a bit of history about themselves and explained how they just want people that are local to come and enjoy the food there whether they’re vegan or not. I thought that it was lovely and everything was genuinely unreal - I cannot wait to come back Also parking is super convenient too 🥰
Vikki W — Google review
Lovely little restaurant, good was insanely delicious, everything came out fresh and hot. Food came out very fast left like no more than 15mins. Child's pizza was lovely my child ate the whole thing. This is a simply wonderful find!!!! A proper Italian - no messing around, cracking service, superb food (I had lasagne & chips) and a great busy atmosphere on a Wednesday evening. Spoke to the owner after my meal and you can really tell when owners are engaged and she certainly is, what a wonderful person. There’s no wonder this place is so popular. Hope my next connection at Crewe is delayed!!!!

An excellent Italian/pizza restaurant making.their own bases in house. We were there fairly early on a Saturday evening. We were seated under one of the speakers and we discussed whether it might be a little loud as we were being seated, and the friendly waiting staff turned the speakers down without being asked. The pizzas did not disappoint with an airy, chewy flavourful crust and the right quantities of good quality toppings. I had the happy sailor which was my first ever seafood pizza. It was a successful experiment!

We stumbled here by accident. This Italian restaurant delivers an authentic taste of Italy with every bite. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The menu is impressively vegan-friendly, offering rich, flavourful options that stay true to Italian tradition. As the evening went on, the restaurant filled up, adding a lively buzz that only enhanced the experience. Despite the growing crowd, service remained attentive and well-paced, with dishes arriving hot and perfectly cooked. A genuine gem for anyone who appreciates great food, good company, and a touch of Italy. We’ll definitely be going back.

Enzo has fully embraced the spirit of Veganuary, offering an extensive vegan menu that caters to all plant-based cravings. From hearty breakfasts to delicious pizzas and their standout Beetroot Burger, there's something for everyone. On January 31st, they will host one of their popular vegan nights—be sure to reserve your spot quickly as these events tend to fill up fast!
Been waiting to try this place out for some time, but as they aren't open late and so busy at weekends, it can be difficult to get into. The cappuccino was superb, full of flavour. The pizzas were great with some interesting choices including a Bolognese style one. With Jordys in town, there is some stiff competition however the pizzas at Enzo are cheaper, with more variety and better presentation. I'd say Jordy has the edge with the tomato base and cheese though. The pizzas are a couple of quid cheaper at around £12-£13 for a 12 inch. The venue is nicely decked out but is quite small so when busy might not be so easy with a pushchair. Could do with more seating outside too if the council were more generous maybe with the pavement licence as there seems to be more room they could use.

Visited twice during a week long stay in Nantwich. Lunch with friends and brunch with family….both were fabulous. The vegan offerings were wonderful: tasty, fresh and beautifully presented, clearly not an afterthought on the menu. All the food was seasonal and expertly cooked. This is a lovely, buzzy place with great service and the BEST coffee. Definitely worth another visit.

Enzo has great breakfast options and welcoming staff. My friends and I went here for breakfast, and it was super yummy and filling (giving us energy for the day). The staff were very friendly. I had the vegan breakfast, which was nice. My only comment was that I asked for brown bread, but got sourdough (it looked good though, and I didn't mind, so I didn't bother asking to change it - which I suspect they would've been happy to do so).

Came here for lunch and had delicious food. I had a regular size (which was a decent size) pizza Arriba, which was delicious! The dough is fantastic, I like a doughy pizza and this one delivered on that. The toppings were really generous, too. I did ask to change the chorizo to nduja, which was kindly done for me, although after ordering and paying, I was then told there were no peppers available. Not a biggie, but I think it's fair to be told things like that before paying. My wife went for the Mancini pasta, which she said was also delicious. Especially the mushrooms in the dish. I tried one and agreed that the flavours were incredible. They taken on the flavours of the chorizo and were just so moreish! She said it was only warm, though, and could have done with being a bit hotter. The drinks we ordered they didn't have in stock, and I got the impression they maybe don't stock what's on the menu as they had other beers (although they didn't have it available to buy, just had one on display) and wines that weren't on the menu, which again isn't a biggie, but a little strange. The staff were friendly. We paid just over 32.50 for the pizza, pasta, glass of wine, and a beer, which we felt was fair, especially as the food was so nice. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would go back again.

St Mary’s Church in Nantwich is a magnificent sandstone church, often referred to as the Cathedral of South Cheshire. It boasts stunning stained glass windows and rich historical features. As the oldest building in the market town, it was completed in 1390 and is now a Grade I listed heritage site. Designed by George Gilbert Scott, this church is renowned for its English Gothic architecture and hosts regular services on Sundays.
What a wonderful Church, never visited Nantwich before so came across this medieval Church which is currently having work completed on the side so decided to pop in. Beautiful does not describe this enough. So peaceful and quiet, help inside if needed. Atmosphere is heavenly and whilst inside the sun shone through the beautiful stained glass right onto the alter. The carving was exquisite and if you like needlework then you must also go and see as every kneeling cushion has been embroidered with love and amazing detail. Please visit and give a small donation to help support the work on this church. Outside there is protected area of lawn which only adds to the love you feel when visiting.

Glorious glass, stunning wood carving and astonishing fabric work in the hangings and in particular the Jubilee curtains. Best of all was our guide. He was passionate and knowledgeable he deserves a wall plaque and a gong of some sort for his service to the church. He brought such joy to a very wet day!

What a gem of a place, met by one of the volunteers who waxed lyrical about the place. Spent a good 20 minutes explaining the history of the building before we took a look around for ourselves. Stained glass windows are stunning and it certainly pays to spend a bit of time looking closely as there are gems in every corner. To cap it all of a local choir we're practicing so there was a nice musical ambience about the place

Nantwich, Cheshire, St Mary. A cathedral-like building in the heart of this market town. Mainly 14th century structure. Amazingly few monuments of note but lots of good stained glass, misericords, roof bosses and stone carvings. Highlight for me was the Harry Clarke glass in the south aisle as his work in Anglican churches is rare.

✨ A Thirst Quenched in Fellowship This church has quenched my thirst. I’ve been traveling since December 2024, and now, in October 2025, being in countries where English isn’t spoken, I ached to hear a sermon in my own language. To sit among churchgoers who ask how I’m doing in words that sound like home was a comfort mere words can not express. Here, after the Sunday service, it is typical for a small group to gather for coffee, tea, and cookies, and I revel in that community of calm, spirit-filled elders who seem entirely unaware of how important they are—not just to me, but to their whole community. ⸻ 🕯 A Beacon in the Quiet The congregation isn’t massive here—not like in Cambridge, where revival is stirring—but perhaps that makes their presence even more meaningful. Those who show up shine all the brighter, a beacon to their town and to the world. It moves me to look among them and realize most don’t even see the weight of their quiet contribution to humanity simply by being present. ⸻ 🌿 Family in Christ While I’ve been here, I experienced a deeply personal revelation through Ancestry.com. I discovered that I had never truly known who my birth father was. In the middle of that moment, the church rector here stepped in with a calm that could only come from God. He reminded me who my true family is in Christ. He gave me solid guidance and the peace that passes understanding. What he offered wasn’t just comfort—it was spiritual grounding that will carry me into my future with ever more faith. ⸻ 🙌 The Power of Showing Up And he was there because of people like you—faithful lay people who simply show up. When you show up, He shows up. So please, keep showing up. Not just for yourself, but for the community. The smaller the group, the greater each presence becomes. If even one person leaves, the absence is felt. For example, even during my short visit I noticed that Jennifer wasn’t sitting next to her husband last Sunday, so I said a prayer for her and for him - just in case! We often think of ourselves as insignificant. But I pray this be a reminder: you matter. Your presence is a gift. When you wake up on Sunday morning and don’t feel like coming, when you can’t quite see the reason why—remember that even if the reason isn’t obvious to you, your presence may be a lifeline to someone else. Even when no one says a word about it, your being there matters. ⸻ ✝️ A Final Prayer I pray each and every one of us will never forget just how much our presence matters. I also pray that travelers passing through will stop here too, to fill their lamps with oil—and tip a little of that oil into the lamps of their brothers and sisters—right here at St. Mary’s Church. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen. Be well, everyone. ❤️ PS - A special thanks to Ray for sharing much about the history of the church that had been flavored with humor throughout! 🙏

Beautiful church with amazing stain glass windows that is at the heart of a pretty town. So welcoming on a cold night waiting for Christmas lights to switch on. And today so welcoming to everyone who wanted to attend a kids nativity with real life donkeys, active participation from the young congregation, and some great carols. Thank you so much for reminding me what Christmas is all about by role modelling the Christmas spirit. 🎄

Funsters Soft Play Centre is an exciting indoor adventure play center for kids during the day and transforms into a thrilling laser arena at night. Conveniently located just half a mile from Chester City Centre, it offers a perfect family day out. The play area is highly praised, especially by parents of toddlers who appreciate the extra activities provided during the week. The staff are commended for their professionalism and helpfulness in organizing private parties and accommodating dietary requirements.
Came for the first time today and what a lovely first experience we had. Amazed at the size of the play frame, my child was so occupied the whole time and had so much fun. The food and drink prices are good and the food that we had was lovely. We wasn't planning to eat here, but after seeing the food we had to try it! The portion sizes were bigger than expected, definitely one of the more value for money we've been all round play/food/drinks. Lots of variety on the menu, and lots of childrens meal deal options to pick from. The entry price is definitely very competitive and worth the money, I had a conversation with someone who regularly attends and they said they keep coming back due to the affordability. The play frames appeared in very good condition and clean. We both went in with our child and never saw any food/litter/excess dirt on the play frames. The parking was a little tricky and some unhappy local residents were on the street (heard them speaking to one another loudly about the inconvenience of the Funsters guests parking up). The staff were lovely and very attentive. It was nice how we were shown to a table and everything explained to us. All staff appeared happy and approachable. We will definitely be coming here more regularly as only 20 minutes away from us. My child can't wait to return, thankyou for a wonderful experience!

One of the tallest soft plays in Europe! Considering I usually leave soft plays with a headache, this was quite a relaxing atmosphere! :) The setting is delightful and the staff are so helpful. Most brilliantly, the food and drink is reasonable, I got a whole host of drinks and snacks for under a tenner- will definitely be going again. 😊

Visited for the first time in years! Couldn’t believe it was still going. Staff were amazing so helpful talked us through everything and explained all the facilities. Great customer service. I visited Funsters in Crewe today for the first time with my 10 year old Grandaughter and I was blown away with the size of the place it was amazing. It was clean ,the staff were lovely and very helpful, the food was fantastic and good value for money. I'm sure we will be visiting again soon.
Roz M — Google review
We attended a birthday party here, and while the soft play was alright, the experience was somewhat tarnished by their policy on outside drinks. Our water bottles were taken away, which felt unnecessary - a simple reminder about the rule would have sufficed and we would have packed the bottles away. Given that food and drinks were already paid for as part of the party, this policy seemed more about squeezing extra money from customers than enforcing a genuine necessity. Forcing customers to buy bottled water, especially on a hot day, is frustrating - not only from an environmental standpoint, as I prefer to avoid plastic bottles, but also because it discouraged us from spending on other items like coffee, which has a higher profit margin. So, it’s not even good business either. Competitors simply handle this better. Ultimately, the experience left us feeling unwelcome, and I doubt we’ll be returning. Xx

DIRTY PLACE - I attended Little Funsters with my toddler and 7 months old baby. To my surprise, it turned out to be a DIRTY little PLACE. The MANAGER WALKS all over the SOFT PLAY area wearing her shoes. The area is especially designed for babies to play and explore. I was so shocked and upset to see this, and I am very concerned about this place not promoting the health and well-being of babies. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe, I got up straight away and left with with a refund.

The Crewe War Memorial, revealed in 1924, showcases a bronze statue of Britannia on a stand. It is currently positioned in a better location and was well-maintained over the years. The 2019 remembrance parade was successful with numerous attendees who took time to honor those who perished in war. The landmark serves as an educational tool for children to learn about the First World War while enjoying refreshments at its vicinity.
In my opinion this is a really magnificent memorial monument which show how much it is worth for the people who live now. This Knife Angel was made from cold iron to blend with the knives which were used in the past crime scenes picked up from all streets in the UK and family members will never forget 🥹❤️

The Crewe War Memorial is a prominent landmark located in the town of Crewe, Cheshire, UK. The memorial was unveiled on 29th October 1921, and it stands at the center of the town's main square. The memorial is a tall, ornate structure made of Portland stone, and it is dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. It features a large column topped with a bronze statue of a soldier, with a sword in hand and looking out towards the town. The statue represents the spirit of the soldiers who fought and died for their country, and it serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifice made by so many. In addition to honoring those who fought in World War I, the memorial also bears plaques that commemorate the lives of soldiers who died in World War II, as well as other conflicts since then. The Crewe War Memorial is an important symbol of remembrance and a place where people can come to pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made by so many. It is a significant landmark in the town and a reminder of the bravery and courage of those who fought for their country.

In my view as a Crewe, the Memorial is better in its current position and as you will see from the pictures, the 2019 remembrance parade was a beautiful day. Lots turned out and it's so important to take time out to remember those who are not with us today!

Queens Park is a beloved 45-acre public park in Crewe, offering a serene environment with lush green spaces, landscaped gardens, and an ornamental lake. The park features various amenities such as a play area for children, outdoor gym, boating during summer weekends and holidays, toilets including facilities for disabled and baby changing, boules and crown green bowling areas. Beautiful park. The garden is really amazing, it has many varieties of flowers and trees. The lake in Burma Island is excellent. Cafe is nice. There is enough parking space - free Street parking. It is a dog friendly park.

Queens Park is a staple of Crewe. Sometimes life can be a lot and a walk in the park for some fresh air is what you need. It is always refreshing to go for a stroll, maybe pick up a quick drink and feed the ducks every now and then. The paths are also thoughtfully places as to not disturb the animals, but still give enough routes for those who enjoy a workout. St George's playing fields also links up to the park on its further end, where you can play football with the nets and make for a good cycle route. The flowers and nature really are beautiful as seen in some photos I've taken.

This is our favourite place on a Sunday morning. We travel from Nantwich, run one lap around the park, then use the calisthenics equipment, lastly we watch our daughter on the massive play area. Some days we'll sit and watch the ducks on the lake or have a coffee at the park cafe.

Free parking available, close to the playground, Queen’s park is a really good example of a large well design, well landscaped and attractive victorian park. Partly refurbished a couple of years ago, it’s lovely to walk around and a stop off in the centrally located coffee shop and cafe which overlooks the lake. In the summer it’s great for picnics and to take paddle boats out on the lake. In winter there’s the magnificent firework display that shouldn’t be missed!

Nice little farm with play areas. Animals seem well cared for and there were a good selection of animals. Paid £4.50 for adult entrance and £1 for a bag of animal feed. Under 2s were free. Some of the climbing frames were in need of a refresh. Toilets were clean (except for a few spiders but as it I a farm think this is to be expected). Overall a good day out with little ones!

Lovely little farm for young children but in need of some TLC, personally I don't feel it's worth £4 each when I've been to other farms with better facilities and no entry charge. Also the staff were really nice in the club shop too! 👏 It is still such a shame that clubs have stopped doing programmes because of the Internet! It is a key part of football and should be carried on for years! Anyway hopefully next time we take home the 3 points! 🔵⚪️

Came here a few weeks ago in pre-season and lots of parking options. Be it at the ground or around the area. I must say it was probably the quickest and easiest ground I've ever got to and left with no traffic. Situated perfectly next to the train station, easy to get to. Once inside the ground if your the away fans then not massive amount of choice for food/drink but enough. Great seats I must say and Crewe really have a decent ground for league 2. Staff and stewards all actually helpful. Only real negative is the car parking machines at the ground were cash only or pay via an app.

I had a wonderful visit to Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum, which provided a unique and interesting experience. The guide was both friendly and informative, allowing me enough space to explore on my own. The museum offered a good selection of intriguing objects and historical information, striking a perfect balance without overwhelming visitors with excessive reading material. Additionally, I enjoyed indulging in a delicious cup of tea accompanied by a crumpet while sitting in the garden. There was even an amusing photo opportunity in the restroom!
Great place to learn a bit about Primitive Methodism. We received a warm welcome with coffee, tea, and cookies. The guides were so friendly, showing us around the church and the collection of treasures in storage across the street.

Gorgeous park! Well kept. Something for every age, whether it’s Play park for kids, outdoor gym, or beautiful walks. Then enjoy some delicious food and drink at the cafe.
Bridget — Google review
Hardly any snow about but main paths had been gritted. Lovely to see the birds on the partially frozen lake. Good to get out for some fresh crisp winters air.
Pilgrims P — Google review
Really relaxing! Very peaceful and beautiful ☺️
Heidi B — Google review
Bit chilly on the bridge at Queen's Park today but very beautiful.
Paula T — Google review
Doesn't jump out at you, you need to be in the centre of the park to find it. A pleasant spot when you find it.

In queen's Park I had a great walk around with my dog and friend

Driving school
Cuckoo Cars Driving School is a delightful attraction designed exclusively for children under 1.4 meters tall, offering them the chance to take the wheel of their very own electric cars. Set against a vibrant backdrop filled with whimsical roads and roundabouts, this experience allows kids to embrace the thrill of driving while learning essential road safety skills like stopping at traffic lights and navigating on the correct side of the road.
Great ride for the kids! The cars go at a nice slow speed, so minimal risk. The area is pretty big and well laid out. Kids over 1.4m can't ride, which unfortunately means most adults too lol 😞 🤣 If you go here first thing it's pretty quiet 🤩🎉

Only ride where the staff have no patience with little ones. We knew our 4 year old would struggle but he wanted to do it and try. He couldn't grasp it, and the eye rolls from the staff because they had to keep helping him out. Rude, he's a small child for goodness sake. Laugh it off!! They were all full of praise and high fives to the children who could do it when leaving. We had a fantastic time at Alton towers in July for his birthday , this is the only one which is a let down. It's a bit of fun!
Ruth W — Google review
Wouldn’t let my niece on 1m perfect as we measured and paid for this! Even with the long line we waited and once we was through they said sorry we usually have thirty children on but only had ten due to short staff and decided she wasn’t tall enough to get the queue time down! Wouldn’t bother 🤷‍♀️
Daisy S — Google review
A fun experience just for kids. The roads were well laid out and makes driving realistic. Ride operators were great at explaining everything to the children.
Hannah W — Google review
As other people have said the staff are rude and seem to enjoy making children wait to then tell them no
Alex M — Google review
Was made to queue for 30 mins only to be told my little one was to small
Craig S — Google review
Great fun for kids. Drive your own car on little tracks
Heidi L — Google review
Was year 3 on a school trip, and was the only kid in my class that was too tall (by 1cm). Had to sit out. Didn't get a driving certificate like the rest of the kids. Not a fan of the staff in 2009. Gutted.
