Nestled in an 18th-century flint house surrounded by Victorian gardens, Wycombe Museum offers a charming setting to explore the local history. The museum showcases a diverse collection of art and furniture spanning from the 17th to the 21st centuries. Visitors can embark on a journey through High Wycombe's past with 'The History of Wycombe in 10 Objects' exhibition, which condenses thousands of artifacts into key pieces.
Wycombe Museum: a special wedding venue. Wycombe Museum hosted us for our relaxed wedding in their beautiful gardens. The day was made such a success by all the volunteers who were so thoughtful, friendly and helpful. The museum were open/pro-active to all our requests and made everything run so smoothly so that we could really be fully relaxed on the day. The museum is beautiful retreat in the centre of busy High Wycombe. We will continue to visit the exhibitions/events, grab a coffee there and would love to bring our future children to explore the enchanting grounds. Thank you again, Stacey & Ryan

Really lovely little museum. It has a great collection of chairs. I really enjoyed looking at the room with all the paintings. The garden was lovely, too. I did have to wait 20 min to get in as they opened late, but other than that, it was worth the visit.
Tara-lee H — Google review
What's nice little small museum in High Wycombe. All about how chairs are made. They also have a very big garden at the front of the old house. Beautiful place to take your children while on holiday.
Em D — Google review
We attended here with some sixth form students on a school trip to learn more about the history of High Wycombe. The man who greeted us at reception was kind and informative. Students were able to circulate the museum and learn more themselves. There was a nice cafe at the end where the lady serving was also very friendly and students could sit and look at some books they had about the area. It was great seeing the history of the bodgers and chair making, plus some lovely artefacts and art. We will return! I would like to note that I emailed to book a tour with the group of students and upon arrival there was no document of our visit in the book- so maybe communication is needing improving further from email.

We spent the day in the gardens making a bronze axe! It was an absolutely brilliant day. We thoroughly recommend taking the opportunity to do any of the workshops here, they're often cheaper here as well 👌

Very nice picnic/wedding location. There is a nice cafe in the museum as well. The staff are friendly and the the place looks well-taken care of.

Its is so lovey to have such a wonderful and great museum in our own home town. Its only visiting other places you realise that we are so lucky to have the following. People - working, volunteering and teaching. A Museum - that is hands on and child friendly, words that grown-ups can read quickly and still carry on with little ones. Stunning Grounds - enclosed and safe to explore and play. Planned Events - every session I book has been thought through and catered for the age of child the explainers are friendly and fun. The Cafe and Shop - A decent pot of tea and sensible choice of snacks. A shop that has gifts that someone has actually thought about. Seating that is child friendly. all in all a well worthy place to Stop, Explore, Stay. CONGRATULATIONS hats off to all that make it happen.

Park
West Wycombe Park is a historic mansion in High Wycombe, known for its association with Sir Francis Dashwood and the notorious Hellfire Club. The house, now owned by the National Trust, showcases a blend of Georgian architecture with Italianate influences, featuring facades designed as classical temples. Visitors can also explore the surrounding grounds, including a picturesque lake and charming temples. Additionally, the area offers other attractions such as the Roald Dahl Museum and Hell-Fire Caves for an enriching experience.
This is a National Trust site that many might miss but it is worth a visit! Almost hidden are the gates to enter off West Wycombe High Street. Short opening hours so please check before you set off. Also no cafe but there are two within a short walk (Walled Garden run by the Dashwood family and the Apple Orchard on the High Street. Enjoy a guided tour of the house (free flow on a Sunday) and peaceful walks around the garden and lake. Do explore the many temples built in the park, all very impressive.
Andy I — Google review
Grand landscaped grounds with many temples, bridges and statues dotted around. House looks good but we could only see a few rooms due to a wedding taking place later on the day.
Ray W — Google review
We had a lovely afternoon there. Car park is very close. Weekdays the house can be visited as part of a guided tour but tickets are going fast. On Sundays, it can be visited freely. The walk around the lake is amazing and the woods hide little gems. There is a toilet in the car park and very likely to be one in the house too.
Emilie M — Google review
I recently visited West Wycombe Park and had a wonderful experience exploring this historic estate. The park, with its beautifully landscaped gardens and impressive architecture, offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The grounds are meticulously maintained, featuring a mix of formal gardens, serene lakes, and charming woodland areas. Each section of the park has its own unique character, making the stroll through the estate a delightful journey of discovery. The views across the Chiltern Hills are breathtaking, especially from the higher vantage points. One particularly intriguing feature is the picturesque bridge, which was famously used as a filming location in the movie *Labyrinth*. Standing on this bridge, I felt a connection to the cinematic history and the enchanting scenes from the film. The centerpiece of the estate is the magnificent West Wycombe House, an exquisite example of Palladian architecture. The interiors are equally stunning, with opulent rooms that showcase an array of fine art and period furnishings. The guided tour of the house provided insightful details about its history and the Dashwood family who have lived there for generations. One of the highlights of my visit was the peaceful Temple of Music, a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The park also features several follies and classical temples, adding to its charm and historical intrigue. Overall, West Wycombe Park is a gem that offers a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. It’s an ideal destination for history enthusiasts, garden lovers, and anyone seeking a serene day out. I highly recommend a visit to this enchanting estate.

Went to visit here as was attending a labyrinth experience. As a huge fan of the movie and knowing part of the film was shot here I had to visit. Such a beautiful park with lots of nice scenery. Also enjoyed the day as it was fab to see everyone in cosplay. A beautiful park to visit even if it’s not for a geeky day out.
Claire — Google review
Visited here on a June afternoon when open. Had an interesting & informative tour which took an hour. Lovely lake & parklands to explore. A good way to spend a couple of hours.
Andrea A — Google review
I went here for an event so my review is based on what I saw that day. It's beautiful here, lawns, a giant pond, little bridges, a small wood. This is where the opening to Labyrinth was filmed.
Wendy P — Google review
Built between 1740-1800 this is a fabulous step back in a decadent past with Sir Francis Dashwood. An absolute classic piece of neoclassical design as the columns and pediment might indicate the house is really marvel and the decoration continues inside where you can see many painted ceilings. Around the house Surrounding it the 18th century estate which is resplendent with dashwood touches such as the temple of Flora, music and Apollo to name but a few comprising classical buildings scattered around the park. The park has on site parking and a great many walks that can be undertaken across the park that also includes a lake. Views are excellent across the valley and of the various buildings. There is much to explore about the history of the house and park and it's owners, which is well worth doing.

The Hellfire Caves, located just outside the village of West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, offer a unique and thrilling underground exploration experience. This man-made cave network extends 300ft underground and was once used by the mysterious 18th Century high-society Hellfire Club for their secret meetings. Visitors can take tours to discover underground passages, chambers, and perhaps even encounter the caves' reputed ghosts.
Interesting place. Have passed this so many times and wanted to visit. It was worth the visit, lovely small cafe before you enter, inside is very good. Took a walk to the Church and Mausoleum, again steeped in history. We had lunch at The Walled Garden, lots to choose from and very nice
Helen G — Google review
Excellent alternative day out. Caves are easy to get through and we'll looks after. Loads of fun history in the place as well. Would love to have done more in the area but most was taken up by Netflix filming but will definitely go back and try again. Walled cafe also a good treat in the area. Food was good quality and there was no long wait for service.

Really cool spot to explore. We rented a car to visit Diddly Squat Farm from London and stopped by here for our 12 year old. Chilly underground while it was sweltering at the surface. We climbed up to the mausoleum and the views were amazing.
Kassandra M — Google review
Hell fire caves as most know has an amazing history and very creepy complicated past which was amazing to learn about and also research myself the caves were amazing the craftsmanship was definitely something to visit not to mention it is DEFINITELY haunted so not for the weak haha but we loved it. Will probably visit again in the future!
Lauren L — Google review
Amazing little secret if you know about it. I stumbled across this and it was a fantastic visit with a great little coffee shop at the entrance that you don't need to actually buy a ticket to use. I will be visiting again with the family, and let them experience the caves. Great half term visit.
JPJ A — Google review
Brilliant visitor attraction and worth the experience. There are lots of stories about the caves that are brought to life through interpretation panels, wax model displays, and audio. I did find the audio a bit loud and at times distracting, can be a bit of a sensory overload. Would be great if they have a “quiet time” for people who need it. But failing that I’d recommend bringing some ear defenders or noise cancelling headphones. It can be cold in the caves so wear layers. And I can see that it could be slippery so good shoes are a must. There is a cafe on site, and further down the hill at The Walled Garden cafe.
Laura H — Google review
We found these caves by chance as we went to this area for another event. They had a Halloween event on at these on the 26th October when we visited and there were people dressed up down in the caves with spooky decorations and scenes setup down there too. It was great the caves are very interesting and the history that goes along with them is great too. There is a little cafe at the menu entrance which is very fairly priced. The staff were friendly and polite. If you are in the area I would recommend a visit to these caves.
Chris W — Google review
Very interesting and fun set of caves to explore and learn about. The visit was quite short and it gets a little cold down there. My daughter was a little scared from the darkness and atmosphere but it wasn't too bad.

The Wycombe Swan Theatre is a significant venue in High Wycombe, offering a diverse program of local, national, and international arts performances. The town also boasts attractions such as a 12th-century parish church, a popular museum, and the recently developed Eden Shopping Centre. Despite modern developments, the town maintains its historic market on the High Street which has been operating for over 700 years.
Had a great night out at the swan theatre. The theatre itself is big enough but not so that you feel detached from the show when seated in the upper circle's. Parking is adequate if you get there early.. leaving can be a slower process too as everyone rushes to get out all at once with it being a narrow multi story carpark. Would definitely return for another show.
Joe L — Google review
Great location, has onsite parking. Theatre itself is spacious inside, plenty of bars and food available. Seats are comfortable and leg room is standard. No seat is a bad seat

Burn the Floor with Vito & Dianne ! Second visit to the Wycombe Swan . Great local theatre that houses some major touring productions.

An evening with Omid Djalili was full of laughter and I also learned a lot about Iran which was amazing and heartfelt and stories about courageous women. I loved every minute. I would recommend this fantastic show. It was the first time I heard of this comedian who supports Omid Djalili is named Boothby Graffoe and he was hilarious and funny and I can't wait for him to have his own show because he deserves it because he was so funny. So if you want an evening of laughter then this is the show for you. Also the car park is next to the theatre but the negative about the car is if you had a big car I would not advise you park there because the car parking spaces are small and advise to look for some where else to park otherwise you might be there for along time and miss part of the show because I did notice a lot of people coming in late after the show had started.

Great local pub. There is always a very friendly welcome from the staff and the pub provides good, well-cooked food, a selection of beers and wines and there's even a fire in the winter! All of this in a perfect village location. Highly recommended!!
Chris N — Google review
Stunning show, lovely theatre, very helpful and friendly staff...multistory car park smells bad...unfortunately filthy stairwells and lifts. Not a great start and finish to a wonderful trip to High Wycombe. Who ever owns that facility...you are doing a bad job. BUT...Fiddler was incredible! Thank you to the Swan!
Greg E — Google review
Visited for the first time to see Ghost Stories on tour. I was really impressed by the quality of the staff but also the cleanliness and the comfort of the seats. We were seated in the front and there was a lot of space for the legs and the seats were comfy. In fact better than some London theatres. However the theatre isn’t very well decorated and vintage which is the only downside of it. But it isn’t a big issue really! I will come back again in the future to see more shows.

Visited with family a couple of weeks ago, treated ourselves to a meal. Our waitress Ella H was phenomenal, we had a great service. Also Riley behind the bar was a joyful character to say the least. The show was splendid and I can’t wait to return next month!

Located in the heart of High Wycombe, The Rye is a spacious 53-acre park, making it the second-largest in the area. It features a play park for children and allows permit fishing for adults, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages. Despite its popularity, the park offers ample parking and doesn't feel overcrowded even during busy times, making it an ideal destination for a day out.
One of the local gems in the High Wycombe area, includes a large water dyke at the top of the rye. Which also hosts the river wye which actually runs though the town connecting to the park the rye. This park also includes a cafe which was newly added with lots of seating areas. Benches run across the rye park from top to bottom so lots of seating areas. This area and park also hosts 2 children's play parks. One is gated for younger kids, and then a newly built adventure park which is well equipped. This place and area is great for walks, exercise running. Cycling. The rye hosts weekend run clubs. You also have wycombe lido gym. Which is great for summer occasions as it has a outdoor swimming pool. At the back near to the dyke there is also a nice waterfall feature and a small pond area. This park hosts a wide range of animals including. I would say its a lovely place and most visit often

Churches & Cathedrals
Perched on West Wycombe Hill, St Lawrence Church has a rich history dating back to the Medieval times when it served the lost village of Haveringdon. The church, now a Grade monument, underwent a significant transformation in the 18th century under Francis Dashwood, resulting in an intriguing blend of Medieval and Neoclassical architecture adorned with Rococo stuccowork. Visitors are encouraged to explore the stunning interior and appreciate its beautiful acoustics.
Lovely church, placed on top of a hill with beautiful views
Lyndon P — Google review
Very unusual church with a design inspired by Italian Renaissance architecture. The unusually tall tower was raised above its original height to create a more visible landmark, accentuated by the golden ball on top. Thanks to its prominent location on West Wycombe Hill, the church towers above the village and can't be missed by drivers on the A40. The flint clad walls conceal an impressive interior. Sadly this was off limits to the public at the time of my visit due to the deteriorating condition of the church. That said, the churchyard appeared well maintained, and the external architecture is sufficiently striking that it still warrants a visit. There's more to see here, with the huge Dashwood Mausoleum sharing the grounds and the infamous Hellfire Caves cut into the hill below (a separate paid tourist attraction). There's free parking right outside the grounds, alternatively the church makes an interesting stop on a longer walk through the Chiltern Hills. It's worth taking a look around West Wycombe while visiting - this historic village was purchased by an arts society before being gifted to the National Trust to ensure its preservation. The dirt thrown up by large vehicles on the A40 does the light coloured buildings no favours, but it's a remarkable survival so close to the sprawling town of High Wycombe.
Andrew T — Google review
Lovely walk up to the church from the village and also the Mausoleum. Interesting church cemetery to walk around, we even found a memorial to a World War One air ace too. Beautiful church, amazing architecture for both the church and mausoleum. Great views of the surrounding countryside with peeks of West Wycombe Park between the trees.
Karen B — Google review
The church is beautiful with Sir Dashwood’s golden ball atop, which the public can no longer go up inside due to vandals and safety.
Madelyn S — Google review
If you’re in the area you should visit this church and check out the inside, it’s stunning. My wife and I came across it while checking out they mausoleum next door which has stunning views of the area. We met a truly lovely couple who were just about to lock up and showed us around and gave us a fascinating insight into the church and it’s tower history. The acoustics inside are beautiful. The Apple Orchard coffee house on the high street is a lovely place for a drink and something to eat. The hellfire caves at the bottom of the hill below the mausoleum was closed at the time of our visit but looked an interesting place.
Ian M — Google review
Lovely Church and some really old grave stones. Unfortunately, you cannot get in the Church as I think it has been sold.
Helen G — Google review
Interesting church on top of the West Wycombe hill. It was shut on our visit. Originally dating from the 14th century it was later rebuilt by the local land owners, the Dashwoods. There is a car park nearby which can be reached by a winding road.
Dufus W — Google review
The Golden Ball on St Lawrence Church, West Wycombe was created during the Age of Enlightenment by Sir Francis Dashwood.  A far-sighted landmark it recalls the late Renaissance period Custom House in Venice. The large wooden ball on top of its tower makes a classical counterpoint to the philanthropic straight road created from High Wycombe. The Church was originally built in the 14th century and then dramatically changed in 1763. The tower was raised to make it more visible from afar, and it was crowned with the wooden golden ball that was reputed to be a meeting place for the Hellfire Club.  The golden ball could seat 6-10 people, and was described by the author John Wilkes as “the best globe tavern I was ever in”. The ball hosted visitors of the Hellfire Club, such as, Benjamin Franklin, underlining the far reaching ‘global’ influence from this Buckinghamshire ‘seat

The Dashwood Mausoleum, a distinctive structure built with local flint, stands atop a hill offering breathtaking panoramic views. Its hexagonal shape features triumphal arches on each side, encompassed by Doric columns and an unbroken frieze. This unique architectural gem is meticulously preserved, as it remains locked to safeguard its interior and exterior design. Visitors should be prepared for a moderate hike up the hill and are advised to wear appropriate footwear.
Imposing mausoleum on top of West Wycombe Hill, overlooking the historic village and National Trust parkland of the same name. Impressive views of the Chiltern Hills and over the nearby town of High Wycombe. Inside the hill are the infamous Hellfire Caves, and the mausoleum shares the hilltop with the very unusual church of St Lawrence, characterised by the large golden ball atop its tower. The mausoleum itself is a very large flint clad structure, clearly visible from the A40. It towers over the village bearing more resemblance to an old military fort than a typical family resting place. It's kept locked though it's easy to see inside through the railings. At the time of my visit on a Friday afternoon the church was also locked. If I was being critical I'd say the site felt just a little neglected by the National Trust's usually high standards of upkeep, with a bit of paint peeling on the mausoleum's grand columns. That said, such an unusual structure at an exposed hilltop location is bound to require ongoing maintenance, so it can be forgiven as the site is free to visit and easy to access, a short if steep walk uphill from the village. There's also a free parking area right outside the church grounds for those who can't manage the hill.
Andrew T — Google review
A very atmospheric place with incredible views. The mausoleum itself, the old cemetery and the surrounding alleys are ideal for a leisurely stroll. There are several other interesting locations nearby, so you can safely plan at least half a day. A large car park is another plus

A unique blend of beauty and mystery, the Dashwood Mausoleum earns a solid 5/5 stars. Its combination of panoramic landscapes, architectural splendor, and ties to England’s colorful past make it a must-visit for curious travelers. Just don’t forget your camera—and maybe a ghost story or two for atmosphere!

Memorial and cemetery to the Dashwood family and friends. It is constructed of Portland stone and flint. The location is perched above the hellfire caves and offers a great view of hilly west wycombe.

Additionally, there are outdoor play options such as go-karts and crazy golf, ensuring that there's something for everyone to enjoy.
This place is a complete bundle of joy for the whole family - the extreme close encounters at the animal barns to start with, massive adventure playground and sand play areas, go karts, golf park and to top it all - a giant soft play well curated for the little senses, this place had got something to offer for everyone. A must visit for the whole family attending throughout the year. We visited them at the family Pumpkin Nights festival and it had so much fun to offer - marshmallow toasting, access to the entire park exclusively at the evening, lights and glow events at the show barn and silent disco. It was overall an unforgettable experience and extremely hard for little to leave the place after such fun hours of play and entertainment

We had a lovely time at the farm with our baby last Thursday. We really enjoyed feeding the animals, and the outdoor play areas were fantastic! The baby soft play could definitely use more balls in the ball pit, and the café closed quite early, with no food options available later on. Still, it’s a great spot for little ones and we’d happily go back!

Odds Farm is a fantastic place for a family day out. We went for a birthday party and the kids had a brilliant time! There’s a great indoor play area, outdoor playgrounds, a sand zone, and lots of animals to feed like goats and sheep. The staff were friendly and everything was well organised. Highly recommended, especially for families with young children.

We spent the day at Odds Farm for Halloween half term and it was a blast. From pumpkin picking (every paying child gets a FREE pumpkin!) to watching Wicked the Musical performances — three times might I add, because it was definitely my son’s highlight of the day! We also loved the brilliant bubble show, tractor & trailer ride, Marmalade’s Mini Rovers, and of course feeding all the adorable animals. If you’re looking for some Halloween fun this half term, I highly recommend Odds Farm - there’s so much to do and it’s perfect for little ones! We’ll definitely be back soon! (@landoandlyra) x

✨Spring magic, fluffy friends & big smiles — that's what our Easter adventure at @oddsfarmpark was all about! We fed adorable goats, cuddled lambs, explored the Easter trail and got crafty in the barn! Plus: we zoomed around on mini tractors, played crazy golf, roasted marshmallows over the fire, splashed in water play, and ran wild on the massive playground! A full day of laughter, fresh air, and proper childhood joy.

Wonderful place run by genuine, passionate people. Kids always have tons of fun. Playground and soft plays are huge and in great condition, animal shows are entertaining and informative.

Came for my son's 2nd birthday. Not a birthday package or anything. Just turned up , no booking, me little one and 4 others. Cost us £110 for all 6 of us.... Expensive, but worth it!!! Gift store you can go to in and out of at any time. We didn't get anything because we just paid £110 so felt very broke after that... Anyway... We came in and there's loads of space for the kids to play with the playgrounds, sand pits and ride on trucks. My little one was too young older it all and I didn't want sand in my car, but for a day out with older kids aged 4+, definitely worth it for a good few hours. We went to the first animal place we saw which was pen for the sheep and goats. My little one loved it. We had bought 2 packets of animal feed as well and my 2 year old was obsessed with feeding the goats !!! Honestly he could have done it for hours. Half expected him to leave there with an employment contract. It was so clean and well kept and my 2 year old had NO FEAR AT ALL in shoving his hand in the animals mouth with the animal feed. There were a fair amount of animal feed dropped by others that had been there before us, aswell as my son dropping some. He just didn't want to leave. They had bunnies there you could touch and they were sooooooo amazingly soft to touch. My son was not interested but it was a little moment I took for myself. Such a good de-stresser ! Upon leaving the animal pens, which had a hand wash station with running and well temperatures water and well stocked soap, we then came across the crazy golf. I had brought my 50+ year old mum with me who wanted to do it, but little one is too young to understand it and no assault some one with a cold club. Mum would have loved it if we did it. Maybe next year mum ! We then came across the sheep sheering show but I don't think little one was interested. Again, another thing to do next year or the year after ( we are definitely coming back by the way, without a doubt) lots of barns for activities of all ages. Lots of play parks everywhere on site of all sizes some even had a little water park with some fountains (child friendly) for them to enjoy on a hot day. We then went and played some football which little one was still grasping the concept of..... Kept reminding him to use his feet and not his hands for a football but he will get there.... One day .. I hope hahaha, maybe he's a rugby sort of boy. Who knows. We then had a tractor ride which happens every hour which we all loved as a family. Our tractor driver was very friendly and lovely. And have us a clear easy to follow safety briefing, once we got off we went to the furthest part of the farm and saw the variety of different breeds of chickens. It was amazing and they looked so funny and cute. We then headed home and my son fell asleep in the back of the car. What an eventful day! there was a cafe there we nipped into a couple of times to get some hot and cold drinks. They sold cakes and all sorts. And juice for the kids.... And me . Was such a fun day out and we loved it. Will definitely be back later in the year and next year for a 3rd birthday. Thank you to all the staff for keeping it clean. It was fantastic to learn it's a family run farm and the family engaged with guests some times. Cannot fault it.. except the price but I guess it goes to the farm and the staff as well as the animals to look after them and keep them well fed and kept. So much to do. Could easily spend a whole day here. Id recommend to come with kids aged 2 up to 11 years old. Consider bringing a pram if your little kids (aged 2 - 4) don't like to walk around much... Or don't get out at all. Bring suncream and lots of water. For the warmer days you come here. You won't regret it.

Nestled within the picturesque Hughenden estate, St Michael & All Angels Parish Church is a charming historical gem that invites visitors to explore its serene surroundings. Originally built in the early 12th century, this Norman church boasts stunning stained glass windows and an impressive organ adorned with painted pipes. The peaceful cemetery offers a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for reflection or simply enjoying the beauty of nature.
Nicely kept church with interesting features. Benjamin Disraeli is buried outside. Inside is a memorial to him from Queen Victoria, a unique occasion of a monarch erecting a memorial to one of their subjects. There are lots of things to see and the church has a leaflet showing things to look out for. Well worth visiting in its own right, or pulling it in on a visit to Hughenden.

A beautiful location and a very serene place of worship that is not even rich in history but a very well looked after church. There’s plenty of off road parking and is not far from the famous Hughenden Manor.

Lovely church, set in beautiful countryside. Superb stained glass windows. Magnificent organ with painted pipes. Unusual 1920s style wall painting opposite the organ. Disraeli's memorial is next to the organ and his grave outside near the east facing wall. A lovely place to stop a while and reflect on life. Well worth a visit and a little donation would not doubt be appreciated. We thought so.
Mark P — Google review
It is closely associated with the nearby Hughenden Manor and the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Benjamin Disraeli who is buried in the churchyard. According to early records, a church existed on this site in the 12th century, built by Geoffrey de Clinton between 1100 and 1135. In 1848 Benjamin Disraeli purchased Hughenden Manor. Disraeli was British Prime Minister twice, in 1868 and 1874–80, and was made Earl of Beaconsfield in 1876. He died in 1881 and was buried in the family vault along with his wife Lady Beaconsfield (died 1872) which is located at the west wall of the church. Royal protocol did not permit Queen Victoria to attend the private funeral, but she visited the tomb a few days later to pay her respects. Used in film and TV such as Action television series The Secret Service. It also featured briefly in the film Johnny English, in the funeral scene where a bomb kills all of Britain's secret agents. Judi Dench filmed a scene from the film Victoria & Abdul in the grounds of the church – another scene was filmed in the manor house. Definitely worth a visit, even if you're not going to the manor, Free parking and entry.

Saint Michael and all angels is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve been in across the world. From the tiles gracing its floors to the painted designs on its ceilings – not to mention the massive sculptures of Saints in its prayer room - it all comes together in a symphony of beauty, peace, and eloquent design. May God bless Saint Michael, and All Angels; may God bless us, one and all. A special thanks to all who support our glorious churches across the world. 🙏 May we always remember the sacrifice of the gifts we receive today and its perpetual value in our society. 🕯️

I really like this place, the cemetery has such a relaxed and peaceful feel to it and there are many benches where you can sit and relax. The church is open and several pews available to sit if you want to pray. Some nice stained glass windows inside church. ********** July 2019 Having visited Disraeli's House a few minutes walk from here, main reason to visit the church was to see the burial site of Benjamin Disraeli and his wife in the graveyard. However worth going inside the church which has an air of peace and tranquility.
Miles M — Google review
Attractive flint walled church with a superbly decorated chancel and striking stained glass windows. A church has existed on this site since the 12th century, with elements of the present building dating from the 13th century. The font is believed to be the original. The church was extensively restored in the late 19th century, gaining its fine chancel wall paintings and organ. The tomb of the Disraeli family of Hughenden is located in the well kept churchyard. There's free parking right outside the church, and the National Trust parkland and gardens at Hughenden are just up the hill and worth a visit.

Hughenden, Buckinghamshire, St Michael and All Angels. A rebuild of 1873. Famous as the burial place of Disraeli who occupies the same vault as his wife and his ( female) financial patron. Aylesbury type font of the thirteenth century. Lots of medieval style effigies which date from the 16th century when the Wellesbourne family was trying to establish its early credentials (a similar thing happened at Chester le Street, County Durham). Church open daily and has its own car park off the drive to the big house.

Historical landmark
The Disraeli Monument is a 15-meter column made of Bath stone, located on the south side of Hughenden Manor's estate. It was erected in honor of Isaac D'Israeli, Benjamin Disraeli's father, and was a gift from Benjamin's wife, Mary-Anne. The monument offers stunning views over the parkland and countryside, especially at sunset. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere with benches available for relaxation or picnics.
Good for history nerds who care about Disraeli. Also showcased WW2 stuff while there

Park
The park at Hughenden Manor, which is part of the National Trust, offers free access to visitors and boasts an impressive playground as well as a picturesque chalk stream that runs through it. During the autumn season, the park becomes a vibrant display of colors, making it an ideal location for families to let their children freely explore and enjoy. In addition to its natural beauty, the park provides ample parking spaces for convenience.
Attractive open parkland with some impressive trees and a chalk stream, forming part of the larger Hughenden Estate. The park is freely accessible to all and situated right on the edge of High Wycombe. Plenty of open space and well maintained paths make the area ideal for dog walks or simply enjoying some time amongst nature without heading far out of town. The house and formal gardens are a separate charged attraction managed by the National Trust, well worth a visit if you have the time. The church by the vehicle entrance is also worth a look, with a particularly well decorated interior and the tomb of the Disraeli family outside.
Andrew T — Google review
A very pretty natural park, that is free to visit all the time. You only have to pay to visit Hughenden Manor house and gardens, not this public park for which parking is also free. The long chalk stream is a photogenic highlight. No toilets, although there is at the pay to enter manor house. Benches dotted about - there's some in the Hughenden churchyard too if you are the manor end. No surfaced paths run across the park and some of the grass is quite long with boggy bits near the stream after wet weather so not the easiest for those with walking aids. There's a cafe at the manor if you are visiting that, and a cafe-diner overlooking the park called Magnolia park cafe which has it's own free parking but the latter isn't open late afternoons or Sundays/Mondays. Otherwise there's often a ice cream van parked by the children's playground. Popular with dog walkers but bear in mind there's free ranging cattle in the park. These leave the inevitable cow pats behind which children always seem to find ... If you want to get public transport here, the 300 bus from the High Wycombe bus station towards Aylesbury has a stop right outside the drive leading up to the church/Manor, from which you can also access the park. Otherwise you can walk from central Wycombe in about 20-25 mins but Hughenden Rd is a pavement parking hotspot near the town end so be cautious.

Hughenden Manor, a captivating National Trust property located in High Wycombe, invites visitors to explore the rich history of its former resident, Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. From 1848 to 1881, this stunning country house served as his home and later played a secret role during World War II as a target map-making base known as Operation Hillside.
A great opportunity to look behind the scenes of one of Britain's greatest and innovative prime ministers. Fascinating home and beautiful gardens, with the added history of a secret war time map making facility. Very enthusiastic and informative guides. An incredible abundance of apples and fruit in the orchards.

Well looked after grounds, well tended gardens and beautifully managed Manor House. The facilities are more than adequate and volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable to explain and answer questions. However, we found the lights were very dim in most of the rooms downstairs and it was difficult to see or read the information provided in the pamphlets and walls.
Mas H — Google review
No queues, not a lot of people and one of the most comprehensible and easy to navigate National Trust houses in England. Absolutely fascinating to learn more about English history; Disraeli, wartime mapping, and secrecy. Knowledgeable staff who like what they are doing. We visited on a glorious sunny weekday afternoon. A light lunch to start, nothing really special, served quickly and efficiently. The house is very well presented and the gardens are a delight to walk around and sit and admire while reclining in a deck chair.

Lovely building with a fascinating story. Loved all of the information on the production of the maps during WW2, especially interesting that they are still finding out about people who were there during that time. Cafe has plenty of seating with the usual menu of quality fare. The gardens are gorgeous and extensive.

The Falcon - JD Wetherspoon is a modern chain bar located in High Wycombe Town Centre, offering a historic and cozy atmosphere. This pub has been serving delicious food and drinks for over 400 years, making it a unique destination. It's situated alongside the guildhall and offers a selection of local beers and ciders. The menu includes English breakfast, pub grub, real ale, wine, and coffee.
The nicest service I’ve ever experienced at Wetherspoon! The waitresses were incredibly accommodating, promptly bringing anything that was missing from the condiments and checking in to see how the food was. The food delivery was quick, and the fish and chips were excellent. Highly recommend!

Another Wetherspoons I've previous been to but didn't review. A medium sized branch in the middle of High Wycombe Town Centre. Now the only branch in High Wycombe after the William Robert Loosely closed a few years ago. A short walk from Eden Shopping Centre/Bus Station and the Train Station. Pub was not overly busy when I visited. Although trade did pick up during my visit. Ordered a Vegetarian Breakfast and a pint of Stowford Press and Blackcurrant. Total cost £7.38. The pint arrived within about a minute of ordering, with the Breakfast arriving in about 8 minutes. However, the sausages were missing, as per the image. Had to chase the server for them. Although to be fair, they did arrive within a few minutes of asking. Breakfast was of good presentation but lukewarm. Despite the minor hiccups, still one of the cheapest places for food and drink in High Wycombe.
Mark J — Google review
There was a great selection of great value food here with special deals and afternoon discounts. I had fish and chips with baked beans and a pint of Stella Artois followed by a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and Belgian chocolate sauce and a coffee with free refills for just under £12. The service was extremely prompt and the staff were friendly and attentive. I have only marked The Falcon down for atmosphere because of a couple of inebriated customers and a group of slightly loud younger people but that may just have been unfortunate timing. One section of the pub was cordoned off due to a leak but I'm sure that will have been resolved since the Easter holiday weekend.
Félim D — Google review
Went here for some breakfast as was craving a spoons English breakfast. I ordered the large trad breakfast. Toast was a little too burnt for my liking but was still soft so was still edible. The bacon could have been cooked just for a couple minutes longer but was very tasty either way. My only issue was my child’s breakfast, he had wanted pancakes (which is what he got) but they were so hard, I couldn’t even cut them for him. He managed a couple of the softer bits of it, but ultimately he shared my breakfast with me as that’s what he was happy with. Coffee was delicious as always and such a great price for it being bottomless! Atmosphere of the place is what you’d typically expect of a spoons but was a decent breakfast nonetheless, apart from the rock hard pancakes☹️

Lookouts
Marlow Bridge, a historic suspension bridge constructed in 1832, spans the River Thames and provides passage for both vehicles and pedestrians. Designed by civil engineer William Tierney Clark, it replaced an older wooden bridge due to increasing 19th-century traffic. Interestingly, this bridge served as the model for a similar structure connecting Buda and Pest in Hungary.
Marlow is a picturesque town located on the River Thames, offering stunning views and beautiful scenery that captivate visitors year-round. The charming riverside setting, with its lush green landscapes, peaceful waters, and historic buildings, makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and photographers alike. The area is home to an abundance of wildlife, particularly birds, which can be spotted along the riverbanks and surrounding nature reserves. Whether it's a family of swans gliding along the water or a variety of other birds in the trees, Marlow offers a perfect setting for birdwatching. One of the highlights of Marlow is the scenic canal walk. Strolling along the towpath allows you to soak in the tranquility of the river, surrounded by beautiful countryside views. It's a great spot for a peaceful walk, or for those looking to capture stunning photos of nature. The charming bridges, quaint houses, and scenic backdrops make Marlow a perfect location for a photoshoot. For a unique perspective of the town and its surroundings, taking a boat ride along the River Thames is a must. The gentle flow of the river, combined with the breathtaking scenery, offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Whether you're exploring on foot, capturing photos, or enjoying a boat ride, Marlow's beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere make it a wonderful destination for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.

Throughout my childhood, my school bus routes often took me past this bridge for 5.5 years while picking up my classmates. I've come to truly appreciate its remarkable architecture, which beautifully combines Victorian engineering with timeless elegance. On calm days, the way the stonework reflects in the water creates a stunning visual. Additionally, the bridge offers a pleasant pedestrian pathway that connects Marlow to Buckinghamshire. I also recall the Marlow Regatta taking place here, which adds to the area’s charm and is worth experiencing!

Historic grade 1 listed bridge dating from 1832 that is currently undergoing repairs and restoration work The local council have said it was important to "preserve the bridge for the future", and it had consulted Heritage England and local heritage teams about the plans. It added that the 12 new bearings, which give support to the bridge deck, were designed to last for about 50 years.

Undeniably an attractive little suspension bridge dating from 1832 & " twin bridged " with one in Budapest. It is currently under repair & certainly in need of re painting. The library offers a vibrant and modern layout, providing various services and a peaceful environment for reading. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and excellent customer service, particularly from a standout staff member named Carlos. The library also hosts community events like the Community Coffee Morning, making it an integral part of the local area.
Very friendly staff!! Amazing library, super accommodating with great resources for the community and visitors 🙏 Thank you!

Large, modern and decently specified library. Lots of study space, abundant natural light. There is word of a possible concentration of the service into a single storey in the building instead of the current two, which would be a shame.
Nico H — Google review
I’ve visited this library many times, hoping for a quiet space to study or read, but each time I walk in, it feels more like a bustling marketplace than a place of learning. The noise level is constant and overwhelming, people take phone calls, hold professional meetings, and chat freely with no regard for others trying to concentrate. There are no designated quiet zones, and the atmosphere is bad. It’s honestly baffling how this place qualifies as a library. Even the staff acknowledge that this is how the space is set up, which makes it clear that silence and study are not priorities here. I’ve found more peace sitting at the bus garage than inside this building. If you’re looking for a quiet place to study, don’t bother coming here. The environment simply won’t allow it. Libraries are meant to be sanctuaries for focus and reflection, but this one misses the mark entirely. It’s disappointing, and I genuinely believe this “marketplace library” needs a serious rethink or perhaps even to be shut down and reimagined as something more fitting for its current use.

It used to be a lovely place to go for quiet study and reference. Now operated as a noisy (mostly generated by rude and unfriendly staff; talking at the top of their voices to users and about their personal lives at the desk), annoying place. If you want to be embarrassed by staff because of printing, this is the place to go.
Ms. B — Google review
Always pleasantly surprised whenever I visit this library. Their selection of fantasy and sci-fi books tend to be more expansive and current than I expect. The staff are always very helpful as well.
Carmen — Google review
Adore children events in the library: Storytime, Duplo and Train games, board games, bounce and rhyme. Didn't have a chance to read any other book but for my baby's age (2) but I like that aspect. Baby changing facility, polite staff - people are different, but I haven't met an unpolite one here yet, just some are nicer than others. Spacious library, love the green coloured walls as green is a colour that gives peace and is about relaxation which reading books ought to be about - clearing the mind and the soul

Friendly helpful staff. Lots of fiction books, and a good range of non-fiction, but not many on each subject. Also it's a long way up the stairs to the first floor, so worth bearing in mind before you choose not to take the lift.

The Parish Church, located behind the Little Market House, was established by the Normans and expanded in the 12th century. It is a remarkable edifice, being the largest church in the county and housing numerous notable monuments and memorials. The church is open to various local groups, creating an inclusive atmosphere. Visitors are warmly received, even if they simply wish to enjoy a cup of tea which is readily available.
All Saints Parish Church in High Wycombe offers a peaceful retreat with its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings. The calming atmosphere, enhanced by natural light and reflective services, provides a perfect space for quiet contemplation and prayer. This tranquil sanctuary is ideal for those seeking a moment of calm in the bustling town.

This is a beautiful church. Opens it's doors to many local groups. You feel welcome when you go in, even of it is just for a cuppa which is available a lot. We went to a concert in aid of Ukraine charities. The concert was excellent, a lot of people giving their time to put this on. We hope they made a good amount

Love the architecture. Notice this church while having coffee near by. So just pop in to have a look. Friendly n welcoming community people. Nice calm atmosphere. So pop in again when passing by. Hope visit it again next time in High Wycombe.

I visited with my two sons just to look around the lovely building. I got a nice welcome and one lady even took the time to show us around and tell us some details of the statues and layout. There is an interesting mix of old and recent and it all fits together well. Some of the statues looks old and have interesting stories behind them. I enjoyed seeing some well worn statues which clearly have some history. I find that sort of thing interesting so was satisfied here. I’ve not been to a service at all so my review is only of a pop in visit and I’d say it was well worth the time.

The Little Market Place is a charming area in the town center adorned with elegant Georgian architecture, such as the iconic Little Market House, also known as the Pepper Pot. The picturesque Guildhall adds to the allure of this historic location. Dating back to medieval times, the high street hosts a vibrant market where visitors can peruse an array of farmer's produce and goods for sale.
Interesting old building, good place for photo although there’s little guide or explanation of its history on site. Right opposite to the Guildhall and so can be visited together.

I attended a concert at Wycombe Community Arts Centre in early April featuring Bootleg Blondie. The band was outstanding, and the venue, an old church with ample space, provided good sound quality. While there was no designated seating, attendees had the option to bring their own chairs. Once the music began, very few people remained seated. The organization of the event was efficient and straightforward, with Arts Centre staff managing both the bar (offering reasonably priced drinks) and ticket sales.
Saw photo's of this venue whilst looking for somewhere to hold our wedding reception, and fell in love! Ruth and her team couldn't do enough to help with the planning and execution of our celebration and were so approachable and professional; the communication from start to finish was spot on. The venue itself was very reasonable in price, the original features of this decommissioned church were just incredible, and the acoustics were outstanding. All in all a fantastic place that I would recommend to anybody holding a function in High Wycombe.

Wycombe Art Centre is a gem! 🎨 We took our kids to the Summer Fest and it was an absolute blast! 🤩 They had an array of activities - free craft workshops, a bouncy castle, face painting, messy painting tiles, bee crown making, and a thrilling circus show. But the highlight of the day for my little ones was meeting Peppa Pig 🐖😍. They had an amazing time, and it was wonderful spending the day with them. A truly well-spent day! 🌞"

Lovely market in High Wycombe. Tues, Fri and Saturdays. A wide variety of food choices, most all amazing and a lot of welcoming smiles! Recommend coming down and speaking to each of the stall owners, they are awesome community pillars 101%

Very poor. No fresh farm food. No organic stalls, no bread/cheese stalls. Mostly fast food vans and some generic clothes/candles. I wish there was a farmers market in High Wycombe!
Eva — Google review
Not much in the way of proper market stalls. Mostly food Van's. For a market town this is very poor. This market needs to be built back up to how it was where you used to be able to get most things you needed from the market. Stall holders are currently put off by too high price of holding a stall and the aggressive street begging which is a continuing issue in town.
A C — Google review
Wycombe Market I am afraid to say is completely rubbish, hardly no stalls or just about 6 selling products you would not want anyway, I lived in Wycombe for 35 years and to see it now to what it was is very sad indeed. Try Thame Market on Tuesdays. Much better, I go every week.

Eden, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, is a prominent shopping and entertainment complex that has transformed the town. Opened in 2008, it offers a diverse range of over 100 shops featuring high-end and high-street fashion, along with various dining and leisure experiences. The center also houses a multiplex cinema and bowling alley for entertainment. Visitors can enjoy a modern environment with interesting displays and stalls while exploring the vast 850,000 square feet of retail space.
Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe is a modern and spacious mall with over 100 stores, popular restaurants, a cinema, and a bowling alley. It’s clean, well-located, and great for shopping and entertainment, though parking can be a bit expensive and it gets busy on weekends.

Decent shopping centre in High Wycombe. Modern style and partly covered. Close to bus station. Good shopping options and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. Cinema and bowling for extra entertainment. Parking is not cheap and can get busy on weekends.
Sam A — Google review
Very good shopping centre, love the recent event… retail is very lost so great to see a shopping centre bringing experience back to draw customers in (and it was VERY busy because of it!!) My only two gripes are: shops close too early (at least keep shops open til 7, or 8?) Make the events more for adults not just kids ahaha . But overall very happy
Morgan X — Google review
The Eden is nicely situated right at the Heart of Wycombe Town Centre with plenty of good shops and a few nice casual restaurants including Zizzi, Osaka, Wagamama & Pizza Express. Always been kept Clean & fairly well maintained. There is also a decent Fruit & Veg Stall near Tesco Supermarket which sells unusual & exotic produce. The Bus Station is ideally situated to the rear of the Shopping Centre, near the Foodie places.
Ez T — Google review
Far too many restaurants, and not enough actual shops anymore. If you want to go out to eat or get take away. OK cool! Eden got you covered. But for actual shopping? Its questionable because most the known shops or popular ones have closed and relocated. More empty units and stores then there has ever been. Its ok if you want to see friends for a coffee and food but I genuinely wouldn't recommend for a day out or actual shopping.
RMB — Google review
The security team as well as the CCTV team doing amazing job , I don't know how to thank them for always doing their best and more for keeping the environment safe and friendly.

Lots of multi story parking with disabled spaces and lifts. ANPR on entry and pay at the machine before going back to the car. Lots of large retailers as well as small individual shops. Also close enough to the hospital to walk.

The Eden centre is a kind of glowing light in the grubbiness that is high Wycombe shopping centre . The whole area feels pretty tired . We parked in the Theatre car park and the stairwells stank of urine . The Eden Centre is modern and well laid out and has most modern high street stores undercover . If you have a choice I would visit either Reading or Newbury as these have better shops and better atmosphere

Stadium
Adams Park Stadium, home to Wycombe Wanderers F.C. and London Wasps rugby team, has been a popular spot for sports enthusiasts since 1990. Named after benefactor Frank Adams, the stadium has undergone renovations and now offers excellent facilities. Visitors can immerse themselves in the town's sports culture by attending a live match and interacting with local fans. The stadium is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, though it may be slightly inconvenient to reach.
Lovely stadium, clean facilities and friendly staff. Food and drink a little pricey. Good view of the pitch. Parking is a doable.. £5:00 near the stadium but arrive early.. good experience easy to find.
Tony S — Google review
A decent football stadium with a good atmosphere. The stadium is outside of the city centre and you either need to get a bus from town or a taxi, otherwise it is a very long walk. There are a good amount of food stalls inside and outside of the stadium and getting into the ground is easy. If you drive to the stadium and park using the match day parking be prepared to wait a long time after final whistle to get out as they do not let cars leave until the crowds quieten down.
Matt H — Google review
Really nice stadium. Easy to reach from town centre with public transportation. During match days a lot of pop up car parks available near the stadium. Free wifi available and is really reliable. Plenty of food and drink options.

Lovely old stadium 🏟 loving the open stand were people can watch in the summer ☀️ all staff very friendly and accommodating toilets available small and smelly brilliant disabled access and seats 💺 one of the oldest good luck for the rest of the season i really hope you get promoted played very well against villa car parking in ground around £10 train 🚆 drops off outside stadium 🏟
Matthew B — Google review
Poor experience for away fans. The stadium is so incredibly far from anything, especially the town of High Wycombe. There are no good options for parking nearby and there is no train station. For a winter evening kick off, in -4 degree weather, we found ourselves walking back in the cold and dark at gone 10pm hoping to catch a taxi. In the stadium, there was only one kiosk open for food and drink. The staff were in no rush - we missed kick off even though we started queueing 20 minutes before that. The toilets are tiny, and there were only 2 turnstiles in operation for the whole away stand. Overall poorly managed, low quality stadium in a bad location.
Dan R — Google review
We had the privilege to see a Wycombe Wanderers v Wrexham at Adams Park Stadium. Being from the states and Wrexham fans we didn’t know what to expect. We have never met a nicer group of staff than at Adams Park. From the Hospitality Tent to the Team Store to the Ushers and Security…. Everyone was accommodating and welcoming. It was the highlight of our trip to England.
Tina C — Google review
Decent ground to visit as an away supporter, cheers for the 3 points. Up the hatters!.
Andrew R — Google review
A very pleasant little ground. A slightly odd location at the end of a business park, and not the most convenient to get to. Fortunately, a bus service does run from the town centre on match days. Good family atmosphere, though the ground is showing its age slightly with not much in the way of a concourse for the end stands. However, there's a selection of food outside the ground and the local beer is very nice (albeit £6 a pint is steep, even for the south) and away fans are welcome. Would recommend sitting in the upper tier if visiting as a neutral to get one of the best stadium backdrops in the EFL - if the joys of League One isn't grabbing your attention, at least there might be some red kites soaring about.

Wycombe Rye Lido provides a refreshing option for those seeking respite from the heat in High Wycombe. Even though it operates all year round, it is particularly known for its outdoor swimming pools. The facility offers various amenities such as a gym, spa, and other sports facilities. The main attraction is undoubtedly the 33m pool situated in the tranquil surroundings of Rye Park. Visitors can also enjoy the sauna, which comes with a cold shower for those who prefer it.
Simple facilities but really clean. Lido was nice and clean and wasn't too busy for Sunday 3pm in May with 22C sunshine. Not super warm pool but definitely made a difference when you stepped out and back in again. Will be visiting again!
Steven C — Google review
Was so looking forward to trying out the Lido, first impressions in the foyer were excellent, then sadly it went downhill 😕. On entering the changing rooms we were met with a strong fishy odour!, the changing rooms were in desperate need of a makeover and were filthy. The pool was a good temperature but the water rather murky and the sides looked unclean. The toilets and showers (all 2 of them!) were awful, mouldy and in serious need of modernisation! Such a shame 😕
Lanie V — Google review
We visited yesterday, kids had a lovely time. Although the water was murky, and loads of bits and bugs floating. The toddler pool had loads of grit in the bottom with piles of it around the bottom edges 😒 this was after a half hour closure to clean up 🤔 The changing rooms, showers and toilets are in desperate need of a renovation, They are awful and the floors have puddles of water and not cleaned up regularly. That being said, the staff were great and really helpful when needed. The lifeguards were brilliant watching everyone in the water like hawks!
Olivia S — Google review
What a bad experience! I took my 2 friends for a night swim from 8.30-9.30. I was so embarrassed ;( We left after 15 min, you do not expect this days to have such a bad state of facilities. Pull is a good size and good to have it outdoors, but for nigh swimming 25 degrees is not enough! We run to sauna- more disappointments- it was cold and smelly. Shower next to sauna - cold( May be that should be) but we so quickly like to leave the place , that didn’t look if any other shower around. I was looking forward for night swim, but never again! Hygiene so much below the standards! It’s a shame, as the idea of outdoor pool is good, and I don’t mind to pay more for session and come to clean and upgrade place.
Ella W — Google review
Everything going for it but let down by murky water, wet changing floor not right, changing cubicles a bit shabby but seriously a lot going for it .. what a brilliant location, good car parking, friendly customers and staff .. fingers crossed the above items numerously quoted by so many others can be rectified. Come on councillors get on the bandwagon and help this place out.,
Horace H — Google review
This was our first visit but we'll definitely be back. A nice area around the pool to relax or sunbathe in and the pool was heated which is a nice touch. An hours swim felt a bit short but you can pay for more time I believe.
Woody W — Google review
In desperate need of a refurbishment, the pool is disgusting and needs a thorough deep clean. The changing rooms are health hazard and are dangerously unclean. Avoid if you have small kids!
Kate F — Google review
Had a lovely swim here. Staff were friendly, pool was clean. Sauna included (always a bonus!) Showers were hot with good water pressure. As with all pools, timing is going to be a big factor in what your experience is like. I visited late afternoon on a weekday before the evening rush, so the pool was quiet and I had a lane to myself for most of the session. Changing rooms a bit tired-looking but clean... I imagine trying to keep them nice at peak hours must be challenging. Parking fees are reasonable and you can pay by card/ contactless.

Beautiful grounds, I went here with my disabled son who loved it. Please make it clear where you expect disabled vehicles to park, I'm very grateful you provide disabled spaces but I was approached by two separate volunteers telling me I had parked on the grass (very naughty) - very simple, just show people driving disabled vehicles where it is you expect them to park. A basic sign on a random tree doesn't help. Thanks.

What a nice surprise! I heard about this place as the filming location of the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie so I was curious to visit. We had the most amazing wedding reception in the upstairs of the Mad Squirrel. Matt, Eve, Lilly and the whole team did an outstanding job decorating and preparing It, including balloons, music and microphones! The team were also unbelievably accommodating, working with me beforehand to ensure everything we wanted was there, and at the time we needed it, even including some extra special features to make it unique for us. The buffet was amazing too, with a huge selection catering to a variety of dietary restrictions and tastes. And of course the beer and cocktails were brilliant. From the initial planning right through to the big day, the team were absolutely incredible. Lily, Ellie, Fran, Andy, Eve, Rambo and the whole team went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly – nothing was too much trouble. The food was outstanding, the venue is great, the service was flawless, and the whole team made us feel so well looked after. Great selection of beers and ciders. Really friendly, helpful staff - Eve and Lily knew their drinks. Next time I'll try the food. The food did not disappoint. There was a good selection of small plates with plenty of vegetarian choice. Both the rosemary fries and the truffle and parmesan fries were excellent. Their thin crust pizzas were well cooked and tasty, just a wider choice for vegetarians would be nice.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating! Food is fantastic. Highly recommend the pizzas, they are banging! Also the best vegan wings I've had. Really really good. Their in house beers are fantastic too, $umo is always a great shout but they have other fantastic beers on rotation. You can also grab some to takeaway too (which I always do my my Friday game sessions!) Can't knock it, highly recommend a visit!

Jay K — Google review
Staff were nice, beers were good, but never eat here. The pizza was very average, but sadly it was how long they took to get them to us that took the biscuit. We were a party of 12 who booked in advance, but they seemed surprised when we all ordered at the same time. One person had a lactose intolerance and one person was gluten intolerant. Apparently that meant that the single oven could only be used for their pizzas individually, but it doesn't explain why only one or two pizzas arrived every 10mins. We ordered at about 1.15pm, and the final pizza didnt arrive until about 2.15. It was less than half full, so it was a very confusing experience. Just don't serve food if you want to concentrate on the beers, which were pretty nice. Staff were knowledgeable about that stuff. Seemed to blame us for our large party size and two odd pizzas for the massive delay in getting us the food though...

Wormsley is a stunning estate with impressive grounds and buildings. The library tour offers an incredible experience, including the exclusive privilege to view the Hirst room installation. The sculpture garden tour led by Kevin is excellent, showcasing the beautiful manicured estate and wonderful staff hospitality. The cricket ground at Wormsley is absolutely beautiful, well-maintained, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty with sightings of red kites.
Went to the Garsington opera, Barber of Seville. Spectacular setting. Secluded valley, central lake. There are picnic tables and tents. The weather was great for us, but tents worth it in case. Good disabled access.

If there was a sixth star I would be awarding it. It is hard to put into words quite how magical Wormsley is, all I would say is if you are considering it as a venue then go and visit to experience it's beauty yourself. The team that work there compliment the venue perfectly, their love for the estate shines through which is demonstrated in how much they care about your experience at Wormsley.

Nice day out with picnic and opera. You should make an effort to dress smartly for the evening. Also it's worth booking a table as otherwise by 3:30pm there almost all taken.

Absolutely lovely rustic venue

Gorgeous cricket ground, surrounds & amenities. Contracted bar staff friendly. Sadly the contracted catering manager left his people skills & basic friendliness at the Estate entrance. He was like a bear with a sore head. Hence 4 stars not 5. 😕

One of the most beautiful natural ecosystems in the UK. Great summer Opera Season (Garsington Opera)!

Beautiful manicured estate with wonderful staff. We were hosted by the Commonwealth Business Women's Network for an International Gender Equality day which included a women's cricket match. Wonderful hospitality and stunning cricket grounds.

Nestled within a quaint industrial estate, the Kraftinwood Inc Chair Making Museum CIC offers an unexpected treasure trove of history and craftsmanship. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the passionate owner, who shares captivating tales about the rich tradition of chair making in High Wycombe. This intimate one-room museum is not your typical exhibit space; instead, it features a personal narrative that weaves together historical insights with hands-on demonstrations using authentic tools and chairs as props.
We were given a very interesting talk about how to convert trees into chairs. You sit in a chair and the curator takes you through the boards etc which give you the information. There is a toilet available.

We made an unplanned visit to the Chair Making Museum on a wet Saturday afternoon. I have never been so grateful for the rain! Robert's knowledge of the history of chairmaking in the area is superb and his storytelling enchanting. My only regrets are not having visited the place before and not leaving enough time to fully explore the art gallery. We will be back.

For only £4 we got a comprehensive presentation (an hour or so) about the history of chair making in High Wycombe. We got to see the tools they were using and an explanation of what made the craft so difficult for the men.

The tour about chair making was very educational and entertaining! Robert is a great storyteller and clearly loves his craft 🪵🪑

Visited the Wycombe Chair Making Museum on a whim as we have always seen the signs for it and been curious. What we found was a wonderful little 1-room museum attached to a functioning workshop, with a curator who was incredibly knowledgeable and who had us enthralled for a good two hours as he spoke about the history of chair-making in Wycombe, which was much more colourful and fascinating than we ever thought it would be. A wonderful gem!

Really worth the trip if you are visiting the area. Robert is very knowledgeable and has entertained us with stories and funny anecdotes.

We have just had a lovely afternoon at the chair museum listening to Robert tell us all about the history of chair making in Wycombe. Both us and the kids found it really interesting. Will definitely be back again to visit the galleries and craft shop.

Don't be put off by the location. It's in a small industrial estate, but behind the entrance there is a fascinating experience. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and he will expertly guide you through the history of chair making in High Wycombe, with detailed insights and personal stories, and even a demonstration of the techniques used. I knew a little of the history before the visit, but came away with a completely new perspective and a much greater understanding. Highly recommended.
