Come for the meat. The grillplatter - exceptional variety and very big, even the vegetables were better than usual. The Steak Fiorentina - amazing. Roast beef steak - very tender. We were well taken care of and came back for a second time. All the staff was friendly and the owner got us chairs to sit for having to wait a bit, as we had no reservation and wanted to sit out. The pizza was average and nothing special, would opt for the meat next time. Starter goulash soup and ravioli was also great.

The restaurant is cosy and gives you the impression that you are in a real chicken coop. The food was well prepared and the variety of dishes was big. The staff was very friendly and competent. In case you want to eat some more standard food with a nice atmosphere and good / fast service, then this is the place to go.

We had an amazing lunch break here! The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food and drinks were excellent. We shared three primi courses, and each one was delicious—I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their pastas. The Aperol Spritz was generously poured, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. It also felt like the only apres ski place that didn’t try to make crazy amount of money from people like other places in the area. I’d definitely come back!

Only one section out of 3 was opened for service to the public, so even though everyone present could enjoy the panoramic views, they had to sit behind in one section, with only two tables directly at the window. that was a bit disappointing, as we mainly came for the view. The service was friendly and quick. Food was presented very nicely, but was a bit bland, not something I would come back for. Coffee was awful.

A superb location with stunningly spectacular views - well worth the long zig zag walk from the road below - or you can take the ski lift in 12 minutes! This is such an incredibly wonderful, clean and welcoming venue. Excellent menu which changes on a regular basis - all of it magnificent and reasonably priced when considering the location. The fabulous goulash soup was a meal in itself and the venison was simply delicious and perfectly cooked. Superb service from very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

This is of course the place in the area to stop for lunch. The architecture alone is worthwhile. And as beautiful as the building is, so good is the food and so good is the service. And because everything is so good, you'll have to be patient to get a spot. It's just busy there (for good reasons). By the way, the semi freddo was particularly appreciated.

Truly amazing. The chairlift ride up and down offers some great views, the location itself looks amazing, the staff is very helpful, responsive and aware of the safety protocols. I only gave it 4 stars because the food is good and not great. That was the only downside. Don't get me wrong, I was at a table that allowed me to see most of what they brought out of the kitchen. The pasta looks amazing. But I know they could do better with other items on the menu, such as the schnitzel. Other than that, the place is spotless, the architecture is remarkable, the bathrooms are clean, and everything is at your disposal. Amazing restaurant! A definitely “to-visit” if you’re in the area! However, you may need to book it in advance during the peak season. The menu is in English and the hosts are speaking many languages (English, German, Italian). I attached the menu from today 6th June. The risotto is the most emblematic dish, but we also tried some other ones. The tiramisu was also epic. You can see the photos below. Everything was impeccably clean and respecting all the covid regulations. I highly recommend it. A+

Awesome find on Snowboarding trip. Lucia is amazing. The fire pit was very different for me. It was delicious. We were not sure what to order so she did not hesitate to tell me what to eat. She was spot on. It was so good. More than i could eat. I loved the atmosphere and the owners really seem to love what they are doing. Great energy. Oh, there tiramisu was the best. This was a highlight dinner of our Dolomites trip! A gorgeous cosy restaurant in a historic setting with such lovely welcoming staff. There aren’t many places that you get to watch from you table while your dinner gets cooked to order, grilled on a wood fire. Take into consideration that almost all the customers are tired from the hikes and activities. Had some delicious pizza at this place. The beer was good and so were the house Schnaps. I got the Bufula Pizza and my wife got the Margarita Pizza! Both were very delicious. We also had 2 large Weizen Biers!

The room was comfortable (if not fancy, and very hot overnight) and the staff members were very nice to us - the guy at the front desk always had a smile and a kind word and the Romanian guy in the restaurant helped us carry our bags up to reception when we arrived after a long journey. Unfortunately, the dinner was probably the worst we ate in the Dolomites. The vegetable soup was very oily, the cheese plate was literally just slabs of cheese with a small amount of jam (no fruits, nuts, or other accoutrements that came with other cheese plates we had), the grilled cheese was sad, the tagliatelle was so salty. The only thing that tasted ok was the salad with the boiled egg, though it was very simple. There was oddly a separate area with a salad bar only accessible to certain patrons - of all the places we stayed in the Dolomites, nowhere else only offered that to a few patrons. We ate lunch at a pizza restaurant about a 5 min walk from here and it was much, much better. The breakfast was better - they had a good spread including eggs and hand fruit.

If you are planing a trip and considering this place for your stay, I would recommend it, as it offers a relatively good price comparing to other options around, and its location is optimal for achieving the bus stops to/from Bolzano; restaurants (one in the hotel, 3-4 more around); to skiing cable cars Paolina, Lauren, etc). But, I don’t want your expectation to be high, there’s no 3 star experience here. Don’t get me wrong, the room is clean, the stuff is friendly and speaks 3 languages, the hotel has breakfasts, spa, billiard table, a few nice terraces full of snow. It’s very warm in the nights and during the day inside. But it’s still far from 3 stars, and here’s why: - the room doesn’t have a fridge/mini bar, no vending machine in the building - the closest market to buy snacks is 20 mins away; - there’s no simple kettle and tea/coffee/bottle of water set in the room (the only kettle you find is in the spa); - TV has 12 local channels, no smart TV option; - even though the spa is included in the price, the slippers and robe will cost additional €8 per person; - there’s no elevator in the building, so if you live on the last floor (2 floors higher than reception), you will need to walk 4 floors down and back to make yourself a hot tea in the spa; or 3 floors down and back to reach the bar to make an order (if the bar still works); - no phone to call a reception to ask for anything; - breakfasts are moderate. So if you are young, and coming here to spend most of time out, this is the place for you. Great value for money (especially if you have your slippers, kettle, cup, tea, smart TV, and snacks). If you expect comfort and great in-hotel experience, this is not the right choice. So don’t get your hopes up!

The hotel is right next to the ski run so you can just put your ski boots on (they get died and warmed up overnight on special heated racks), take your skis from the ski room and ski down to the lift. Overall, an excellent if not exactly cheap hotel for family skiing vacations.

We had a great deal for a week, all inclusive, rentals and ski passes for 2 adults and one child. The rooms were ok, cleaned nicely. Unlike the reviews, the dinners were tasty with variety every evening. Location is perfect as you can reach the hotel from Hubertus slope and likewise leave on skis. The bus stop 2 minutes away for the bus which takes you to Bolzano. Overall, we are very satisfied and would come back.

Great sauna and steam rooms. The food is really good. I love how they have a great eye for small details it really makes the place. I highly highly recommend to stay here.

A few years ago the restaurant was really good but now its like the badest one i've ever seen. You could get a better meal at every fast food chain and its literally overpriced. They served the meals really really fast and it was just like they took it out the fridge and then put it into a microwave. The half board offered very high standard, the staff in the restaurant very helpful, efficient and pleasant. Individual ski lockers designated to each room are a nice add on. Overall should you be looking for very high quality accommodation either in winter or summer time highly recommend.

You can find a large variety of meat (beef, pork, deer, kangaroo, ostrich, chicken) which can be served on charcoal grille or on a lava stone. The staff is very very friendly. Add the classic cosiness and charm of a 1980’s Tirol style Almhütte. A place you will return to for sure. I stayed here with my family multiple times for skiing holidays. The location is perfect, directly at the lift and Skischule. The terrace is oriented to the west, making it a great place for watching sunsets and sunbathing, which you will surely do plenty in this region. While the rooms are dated and small by today's standards, they are comfortable and have great beds. It's all for the better, as you will spend more time in the cosy restaurant and bar area, playing board games with the kids while enjoying the classic Tirolean cuisine. Too bad there are only a limited number of rooms or we would come here every time.

Great cosy restaurant with elevated European cuisine with a local touch. The menu offers sufficient variety with fish, meat and vegetarian based dishes. Most of the dishes were having a special unique taste, others were rather random. In general a good experience, to be recommended.

We had dinner with the children. The meat and ice cream were delicious, but the risotto and pie were terribly salty. I couldn’t eat them at all, and the children refused to even try them, even though they usually adore these dishes. My husband did his best but couldn’t finish his portion either. In the restaurant, you have to order two risottos at once, which cost us 40 euros! It’s a shame this happened. They refused to cancel the order or refund the money for even one dish.

One of the best culinary experiences I have had so far while living in Italy. If you are in the area it is definitely worth a stop to indulge in a few cocktails and a meal. While the outside may be unassuming as you drive up the mountain, the inside is a very modern and perfectly designed dining area. They have great drink options and the food is seasonal. While we were here at the start of summer, I can imagine I would be just as in awe any other time of the year. I actually look forward to visiting again so that I can taste a new rendition of the menu from such an incredible chef. Highly recommend taking the time to stop by.

The pasta was in a simple sauce that only tasted more flavorful with each bite. The beef came with the best potato wedges we've ever had, along with Parmesan cheese and arugula which complimented one another very very well. Even the dessert - a banana Sunday - was phenomenal (and very big!). Definitely come here if you have the chance!

This place is amazing - a complete gem. It is a traditional "post" hotel, probably a former coaching inn ype that dates back to 1875, but it has been modernized to a high standard. Still family owned and run, we felt welcome as soon as we set foot in the door, with little details like being taken directly to our rooms. The owners are visible and attentive and the staff clearly love working here and are kind and helpful. The rooms are not enormous but good enough. We were north facing without a balcony, so probably the lowest tier, but is was still really comfortable. We faced onto the busy road but could not hear a thing thanks to the modern windows. The rear (south) facing rooms must have fantastic views and this is where the magic beigns... the glorious garden backs onto a working stud farm with 20+ horses all doing their thing against the backdrop of the majestic dolomites. The Spa is fantastic and super relaxing...I honestly felt like I was in a 5 star swiss style retreat. The dining room is traditional and spacious, with top quality food. Very reasonable when you consider the half board prices. We went in the summer and would consider going back in the winter too. There is a gondola 200m from the hotel taking you up to the slopes... fine to walk to in summer but difficult in ski boots so I gather they put on a shuttle. 5 well deserved stars.
