Science Museums
Space Expo is a captivating museum located in Noordwijk, showcasing the marvels of space and the accomplishments of space exploration. The museum offers interactive exhibits, real spacecraft displays, and insights into the history and future of space travel. Visitors can experience a Space Train ride and learn about topics such as gravity, satellites, astronaut training, and rocket launches. Additionally, there are engaging activities for children including a treasure hunt that leads to an astronaut diploma.
Amazing museum, super interactive and lots to learn in a fun way! We spent almost 5 hours in the exhibition because there was so much to see and so much to do. While the start feels a little bit slow, the pace picks up once you get out onto the floor. The amount of exhibits is amazing, and the fact that there are original pieces that were actually parts of space missions is impressive. We had a really good time with the different videos they show of interviews with astronauts, of different missions and how everything works behind the scenes. There are many interactive displays that are interesting for kids and adults alike, like a quiz about satellite pictures or a setup where you can launch a tiny rocket. This museum is absolutely worth it's price, and despite being small in size there is an incredible amount of things to see and experience. It really exceeded our expectations!
Rebecca M — Google review
Well, little bit behind expectations. It used to be good, hut exhibitions aging and it all seem just a collection of scrap… no issues there if it wouldn’t be just old stuff from 70’-2000. ESA do gray stuff and it would be great to make it bit modernised and exciting
Hynek — Google review
Today me and the family visited the space expo and we were amazed. You could touch enter and feel almost everything in the museum which is perfect for us a family of four. The day there started, at their outside playground after which we entered the museum only to run because we heard that there was a presentation about space gabage in the auditorium. I never thought our kids could sit still but they were memorized. Afterwards we took it slower also because I'm with leg problems, but that wasn't a problem because I could borrow a wheelchair there. Everything is by the way wheelchair accessible, but if you are gonna use their wheelchair bring someone to push because their wheelchairs are the Dutch ones that you can't turn the wheel yourself. Bonus: try the space ice cream it's like nothing else
Jacob H — Google review
An extraordinary museum of space exploration stuffs in Noorwijk, Netherlands. Plenty of parking areas with wheelchair accessible parking too. There are cafeteria and merchandise corner on the entrance lobby. After pay for 17€ each visitor can get through the large expo hall where we find some videos of space sciences. Next door, there are some panels of mission simulation with some space probes floating all above. If you want to follow the sequence, before overexcited with the big rockets, you must go to 'the clean room'. There we can build our own probes interactively on the computer panels, I chose Gaia. After finishing the space probe mission, you can take a picture in front of rocket miniatures, whilst the biggest combustion engine will launch every one hour! Just check the count down above it. However for me the most interesting site is the replica of International Space Station, with the cupola spot, the monumental spot for every astronaut 🧑‍🚀 How amazing! If you're attracted by weather and satellite things, go to the next section. Then, the last part is the moon landing stage, complete with re-entry capsule simulator and moon jumper camera. Unfortunately we'll must go by ourselves without guidance to do what first. If you wanna be an astronaut like me, this is a recommended place for you 🚀
Khazanah N — Google review
Satellites, the International Space Station, and many other attractions await you. Easy access, ample parking, and a cozy restaurant await. A cinema and many interesting space-related attractions invite you to explore. Time spent here will pay off in the future. If you have a moment, don't delay and go to the Expo.
Slawek Z — Google review
If you like space, just come here. This place is soooo nice! I can't describe it, but you'll spend time of your life here! Good for children, date or yourself!

Excellent space expo, super fun with lots to see. Not an all day activity but great hour or so when you factor in the different rooms and gift shop. Food and drink was a reasonable price and the toilets were clean. Staff were very friendly and spoke English and Dutch.

Small museum that you can spend 2-3 hrs to complete. If you are around must see, especially for kids it can be interesting. But this is not a museum that you travel hours to see.

Museum Noordwijk, located in a former defense structure of the German Atlantikwall, offers a unique opportunity to delve into European history. Visitors can explore well-preserved bunkers from World War II and gain insight into the historic defense system. The museum also showcases an impressive collection of artworks and provides a glimpse into the rich history of the fishing village.
The museum is so interesting full of paintings and art deco flagons. Personal in there is so kind and gentile, and have no problems to share with you some of the history of the place.

(Translated by Google) What a nice, cozy museum! If you stay in Noordwijk, visit this museum to learn more about the city's history. Poor residents and tough lives of fishermen, many things 'from the past', large archive of old photos of Noordwijk (also a digital version). The collection has been very carefully curated, and the volunteers are also very nice and enthusiastic about it. She even gave me a tour (a live version in addition to a paper version)! The building is also one of the few authentic houses that have remained here in an original 'form'. Oh, and you can just sit down and knit something beautiful if you like. Original! Origineel!

(Translated by Google) The Noordwijk Museum is located in the center of the small seaside town of Noordwijk, ten minutes from the sea in an ancient building of a dune farm, the only one of its kind, with a 400-year history. The house looks small, but inside there were many rooms, there is a second floor. The exhibits of the museum are ancient ,here I saw historical rooms showing the everyday life of ordinary Dutch people, I looked at ancient ceramics, paintings, drawings, kitchen utensils, national clothes, jewelry, accessories, various fishing equipment, showing the fishing past of the city. It was very interesting to look at the headdresses of married women of the Catholic and Protestant faiths and compare them. The museum has many paintings by painters who worked here, now the museum had an exhibition of works by Dutch artists who lived and painted their works in Noordwijk in the 19th/20th centuries, these are Ludolf Berkemeier and Jan Weissmuller. In the museum hall you can also watch a film about the life of Noordwijk and its inhabitants. At the entrance to the museum we were greeted very warmly, they walked with us, showing especially valuable exhibits, it was clear that they were proud of their museum. It is worth visiting this museum if you are in Noordwijk, spend a little time, but you will have a pleasant and useful time. There is a Museumkaart.

Gardens
Parks
Keukenhof is a historic park in the Netherlands, originally used for hunting and growing herbs. Its name, meaning "kitchen garden" in Dutch, reflects its past purpose. The grounds feature Castle Keukenhof, built in the 17th century. The park is famous for its seven million tulip bulbs that bloom from March to May, attracting numerous visitors annually.
My weekend trip to Keukenhof, even though it was already around May and well into the season, proved that the garden's legendary status is entirely justified. The experience was undeniably busy perhaps the most crowded garden I've ever visited yet, despite the overwhelming number of people, the atmosphere remained incredibly charming. Let's address the central challenge first: the photography. If you’re looking for a peaceful, solitary moment to capture the flowers, a peak weekend visit in May is probably not the time. The sheer volume of visitors meant I couldn't really calmly make pics because tourists were everywhere. Every single angle, from the close-ups of the magnificent tulips to the grand sweeping vistas, had people waiting. This is a vital piece of advice for any future visitor: you should definitely be prepared to waiting to make pics wherever a charming tulip area was located. Patience is absolutely key to getting the shots you want, as moving quickly is simply not an option. What saved the experience, and made it genuinely worthwhile, was the impeccable state of the grounds. To say the garden seems good take care of is a massive understatement. Furthermore, despite having a lot of human traffic concentrated in a relatively small area, the air was still fresh. It’s a testament to the open layout and the surrounding nature that the park never felt stifling or oppressive, even at peak busy times. Even the logistics, which usually break down under such intense visitor pressure, held up relatively well. The toilet facilities, though always full and requiring a little bit of a queue, were quite clean and well maintained. Overall, Keukenhof is a floral spectacle that simply must be seen to be believed. While you must embrace the crowds and be prepared to waiting to make pics, the payoff is worth it. It is still charming even when shared with thousands of others.

Here is absolutely stunning fields of colorful flowers, especially tulips, everywhere you look. It was quite crowded with tourists, but the atmosphere was still enjoyable. Outside the park, we rented bikes and explored the endless beautiful flower fields around Lisse a fantastic experience! Despite the crowds, I’d definitely love to come back.

Large and beautiful gardens with a multitude of tulip displays. It was lovely to walk around and see all the beds that are supported by local farmers. The indoor displays were great for a bit of variety. Spent about 3 hours total including a rest for lunch. Visited at the start of April, so before the peak season, but still quite tiring with the huge number of people. The bus and entry ticket was very convenient.
Tom D — Google review
Its a spectacular garden with every colour of tulips and roses that you could imagine. Simply beautiful! There is also a section inside where they have arranged flowers and stuff, that too is worth seeing. Absolutely worth the money!!! Not-to-be-missed!
Rashida V — Google review
Visited Keukenhof in late March and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and getting there by bus was simple thanks to very clear signage and instructions throughout. While the outdoor tulips hadn’t bloomed yet (which is to be expected that early in the season), the indoor displays more than made up for it — vibrant, beautifully curated, and full of colour. The whole park is set in a stunning landscape, and even without the full bloom, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable place to walk around. I’ll definitely return again — but next time, a little later in the season to catch the gardens in full bloom.
Grace L — Google review
One of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Highly recommended for people who love nature, flowers and looking for a day out to spend time close to nature. Amazing views and wide variety of Tulips. I have taken day trip from Amsterdam and it was well worth it.
Roy A — Google review
VERY PRETTYY! visited it on march or april and it almost near the end of the season so some flowers are already got cut off, but still the collection is so pretty and it's less crowded! you should also buy and eat the strawberry covered chocolate and some snacks there! i also bought a bus ride from amsterdam from Klook!
Mahira P — Google review
My goodness, there is no other garden like this one. The place is huge and spectacular. There are flowers in every colour including black. Flowers are everywhere, left, right, behind and infront of you. The garden is located outside of Amsterdam and reachable by car or the Keukenhof bus which was very efficient. There are many people that visit this garden but you can still navigate easily if you come the earliest possible when the garden open. There are places on site to buy lunch and/or snacks. It is a bit pricey but the quality was really good so that worked out well. An amazing experience, I spent over 4 hrs at the garden, and took hundreds of photos. It is a must visit on anyone's list that loves tulips. It is a must to see the creativity in gardening, how much planning went into that, how much work was done, incredible experience for me.

The Atlantikwall Museum Noordwijk is a captivating destination that immerses visitors in the rich history of World War II. Set within a former German defense structure, this museum showcases an array of well-preserved bunkers and tunnels that were integral to the Atlantikwall fortifications. Guests can embark on guided tours from May to September, exploring fascinating artifacts like a retractable radio antenna and a stereoscopic range finder used for targeting enemy ships.
We had a fantastic experience on our Sunday visit! Our tour guide, Chris, was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Atlantikwall. He shared fascinating stories, making the tour incredibly engaging. The entire staff consists of dedicated volunteers, which adds a special touch to the experience. After the hour-long tour, we explored their realistic museum, which is meticulously decorated to resemble how it looked during World War II. Overall, it's an excellent experience, suitable even in bad weather as it is all indoors. The tour and museum visit together cost only €10. Highly recommended!

Super interesting museum run by volunteers. We loved to learn more about what happened during the second world war and how this place was built by the Germans who wanted to defend themselves from the British or Americans. It has been renovated. Museum Cards are not accepted. Outside of the summer season is open on the first and third weekend of the month.

One of the most amazing experiences. We only saw one of the Bunker in the chain, but was brilliant. Everything was well done from the screens in the lookout to the restoration and audio. I believe these kind of experiences should be promoted by the Dutch Tourism board
Johnny H — Google review
A well preserved example of a German WWII fortification built along the Atlantic coast. Our guide Andre (unpaid docent, speaks perfect English) made the tour come alive by relating stories of how he came here as a child. The guided tour was mostly flat but the attached museum (optional, included in tour price) requires steep steps and ladders to fully experience. An interesting side note is how part of the facility is used for sheltering bats and how the staff goes to great lengths to ensure their safety and comfort.

Super cool to see. Guide was informative and really well spoken English. Great with the children as well. Take some warm clothing as it gets really cold under ground inside the bunkers

Outstanding Museum. Telling the true story about the occupation by Nazi Germany and the impact on individual lifelines. The cycle paths are of very good quality (maintained by the Province of South Holland) and are clearly separated from the walking paths to prevent accidents. Motorized traffic (scooters, mopeds, etc.) is not allowed here and fortunately this is also carefully monitored by BOAs. The Flower Field in Lisse is a must-visit destination, especially during the tulip season. It's a great spot to explore on your own with the Tulip & Flower Fields GPS Audio Tour, offering stunning views of colorful flowers. While it may not be the sole reason for visiting Lisse, it's definitely worth including in your itinerary if you're exploring other tulip-related attractions in the area.
Not sure if it's worth coming there just for this place, but definitely worth the visit if you're also visiting other tulip related attractions in the are. Really nice as one of the cycling destinations.

(Translated by Google) As a Member of Parliament for South Holland, I have been able to experience a number of cruises on River Queen with this company. A beautiful modern boat! Especially for large groups. Due to the special design of the boat, the engine is barely audible. Ideal as a presentation and meeting location, but certainly also for parties or boat trips for groups of tourists. It is of course ideal that this boat can pick you up and drop you off almost anywhere along the waterways of South Holland. Rain or shine; Inside, on the back and on top of the deck you have a good view of the South Holland landscape and villages that pass by. The boat is fully equipped. Good disabled toilet, spacious seating areas and bar, good menu and it is no problem if you look over the captain's shoulders. A special seating area has even been created in his wheelhouse for this purpose.

But the previous times we were on I think, the River Dream, now on the Trition. We felt it was not a good choice compared to the other ship. It's not relaxing sitting on the deck, far from it!! I understand the choice because of the bridges, but for a whole day of traveling, this is not really fun. Nothing bad about the crew, what friendly and knowledgeable people! But then the food... we are used to a buffet, which was always served, very good even, and now a kind of soup kitchen, that's what it felt like to us, with just a soup spoon of potato, a spoon of cauliflower without smell or taste ,and a fake schnitzel!!! One of those ground, pressed together meat things..... Corpus is a unique museum in Leiden that offers a spectacular 55-minute journey through the human body, providing an exceptional insight into how the body functions and what can be done to maintain good health. The museum features a giant medically accurate model of the human body and offers a walk-through audio tour from the knee to the brain. Visitors can learn about anatomy, bodily functions, and various diseases while exploring interactive exhibits.
The best experience you can get about human body. Even you are an adult, this place is absolutely interesting. The journey through inches and inches inside your body system. Wowwwww. Recommend to buy advance ticket as it’s limited attendees per round (you will stick to the same peers until the end).
Sirapa T — Google review
It's a good tour and interactive afterwards. We have a six year old and a two year old; I feel that charging the same price (€25) for a 0, 1 or 2 year old as adults is a bit much. Our two year old was scared in the experience, as the dark rooms, lights and heartbeat sounds were quite intimidating without her understanding the context.
Andrew A — Google review
Very interesting museum about the human body. The children had fun, they have 2 parts of museum, one interactive and one to discover more by reading and watching more videos.I think between 2-3 h are more than sufficient to allocate for this museum.
Oana M — Google review
Relatively short “tour” but LOVED it, very well presented and truly thoughtful for kids (not tooo young though) without boring the adults. The play area tends to be a bit crowded but I’d highly recommend this place when in Leiden

It is very close to Leiden city and highway. Has a closed parking space incld EV charging. Museum is well designed, mostly enhanced with videos and lightshows. There are several educative activites after the museum. Mostly suitable for children.
Ahmet E — Google review
Old, overhyped and overpriced. I did enjoy the first part of the museum where you 'walk inside your body.' It is well-made and well explained. After the tour with audio guide, you come to the second part where you see visual materials and read the panels. It felt quite old and meant mainly for young children, probably below 8. My two children aged 9 and 12 though it was too childish and not attractive, so we just walked past and left the museum. Overall I felt it isn't worth the money. Not recommended.

Amazing place, very educational and has multiple interactive games which improves the understanding of the human body. Suitable for a range of ages and families. Great value for money too.

We visited this museum for the first time and we liked it. It was quite interesting to learn more about your body and body. The tour takes place in a small group with an audio guide. It's a pity that you can't take photos and videos while walking, you want to capture this.

Breakers Beach House is a beachfront dining spot located at the renowned Huis ter Duin hotel in Noordwijk. The cabana-style building offers a spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, reminiscent of architecture found in Palm Beach and Santa Monica. The menu features a wide selection of bites, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and beachside favorites. It's an ideal place to unwind with family or friends while enjoying delicious food and drinks right by the sea.
I absolutely loved the place we visited today. The atmosphere was indescribably elegant yet warm and inviting. The food was great overall—though the risotto was slightly overcooked, everything else on the Easter menu was excellent. I really appreciated how attentive they were to food allergies—truly professional. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more special. It was a superb visit, and I’d love to return when the weather is warmer. Thank you to everyone at Breakers for your dedication and professionalism!

5 Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Breakers Beach House in Noordwijk is simply stunning. One of my favourite restaurants ever. Looking out to the sea, with the warmth of an open fire, it’s the perfect setting. The food is divine — from beautifully cooked salmon and tender duck to creative starters and breads with flavoured butters. The desserts are just as impressive, both in taste and presentation, with delicate pastries, fresh strawberries, and meringue touches that looked almost too good to eat. Cocktails are special, the wine list is excellent, and the whole experience feels unforgettable. What a place!!
Warren F — Google review
Very lousy! The food is better from Roomservice or the bar food in the lobby! The worse is the fraudulent 8 euros tap water they are bottling themselves in the back. The French fries are lower quality than Burger King. My husband had the sole and liked it. I hated hearing barking dogs inside. The Indian soup tasted like it was straight out of a box. Orange Juice and bread was delicious. The view is lovely but we are never coming back. There is a reason you folks have a Michelin sticker on your door, but not a star.

What an amazing experience!!! First of all I want to thank you so much for taking into account guests with allergies. The food was adapted and was the delicious! Special thumbs up for the dessert. The evening dinner at Restaurant de Lamme Goedzak was exceptional. This must-visit establishment offers a delightful experience with its scrumptious Spare ribs and Pasta with Gambas, both of which received perfect ratings. The ambiance, service, and flavors were all superb. I highly recommend visiting this place as it guarantees a memorable dining experience. The service provided was excellent and the dishes were cooked to perfection, presented beautifully.
Wow ok where do I start...... Firstly, the waiter came out side to see if we were OK because we were standing at the corner of the building. He then informed me they have the best spare ribs in town, so I thought challenge on... We walked in, and just wow, the ambience was impressive. The team was so friendly with smiles, and we were seated quickly. NOW let's talk about the speed they work, we had drinks within minutes and as soon as we were ready our meal choice was taken... Typical me, I started the stop watch. So how can I put it? Well, that's quite simple, they run a 15-minute table from order to food on the table (it doesn't get any better than that) Then, the ribs came..... I have no words, best ribs in town I can't say because I have not tried any other here but best ribs I have eaten in a restaurant. I can happily say 100%. This is how ribs should be cooked and served. They were delicious. The meat fell off the bone and was so tender and moist. They also know how to make bean to cup coffee with an amazing aroma, crema, and taste for a coffee lover was perfect. Our visit was over all the best restaurant visits we had in Noordwijk, and we will come every time we are here. Conclusion. Great food and price Great staff Great owner Overall, ambience is just amazing This is the number 1 must visit restaurant for all of the above reasons Last thing and the most important of all, they are dog friendly But all dog owners, please remember we have to have respect, make sure your dogs are clean, calm, and not barking at every shadow they see.

Super friendly service! Nice food, the fanous sparerips were a bit tough and dry unfortunately but the rest was really good. Nice pub-ish athmosphere close to the beach in the village on/ close to the Boulevard.
Olivia W — Google review
Based on the positive reviews, I made a reservation for dinner a few weeks before arriving in Noordwijk, as it was the Saturday of the Flower Parade. I was right away turned off when they refused to give us tap water (Netherlands apparently has one of the best drinking water) and had a dog sitting on the floor next to me. Coming from Canada, I am not used to that. Charging 7€ for a bottle of still water is a simply ridiculously, especially if I’m buying a 45€ bottle of wine. Servers were friendly at the table, but so rushed in between, running to the kitchen. The food was nothing to talk about – the waiter had assured me that the pork loin was the fillet cut– it was not. Everything was tasteless, the potatoes were not fresh and terribly hard. My husband’s fish/shrimp skewer was ok, but the vegetable had absolutely no flavor at all. The dessert was probably the best part of the meal. Extremely disappointed for our last dinner in Noordwijk.
P L — Google review
We came here three years ago and ate multiple times. It is fantastic. We had the ribs and coleslaw. Small details make the difference here. Delicious coleslaw with smoked crunchy beans that are to die for. The ribs are smothered in a fantastic sauce and the fries are perfection. The Onion soup was rich and thick and delicious. We wanted a dessert, but too full! Next time. The wines are reasonably priced and good. Lastly, the service is friendly professional and fast. What is not to love?

Absolutely amazing food. I recommend one of each. Also, they try their best to take into account allergies and picky eaters. The restaurant provides an incredible dining adventure with its scrumptious seafood dishes cooked flawlessly and packed with rich flavors. The cocktails are skillfully made, each sip transporting you to a tropical paradise. The breathtaking view of the beachfront adds an extra touch of enchantment to the entire gastronomic journey.
Nomade Beach House is a beautiful, cozy spot, perfect for a romantic date night. The ambiance feels warm and inviting, setting the scene for a special evening. The staff was attentive, adding to the great experience. Now, about the food: we started with the shrimp and mushroom soup, and both were absolutely amazing! For mains, we went with the fish and steak, which were decent but didn’t stand out as much as the starters. However, the dessert completely won us over – a caramel brownie with ice cream that was so delicious! 🍫🍨 It was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Overall, we had a lovely evening, and I’d definitely recommend Nomade Beach House for anyone looking for a cozy date night spot by the beach

My husband and I recently dined at Open-Doors, a restaurant located near the beach entrance with a pleasant atmosphere. Although we did notice occasional hints of smoke and cologne inside, the overall experience was enjoyable. We both decided to try their build-your-own burger option, but found the Italian bun to be too large for the actual burger, resulting in an imbalanced ratio of bread to meat. Nevertheless, the burger itself was tasty and there were no other complaints about our meal.
My wife and I were looking for a place late Saturday night. We happened upon Open Doors after checking out the beach. The atmosphere was very inviting from the outside. We stepped in, and were immediately met with warmth and the staff was extremely friendly. We were sat right away and they were very prompt with drinks. We ordered a Thai Chicken salad and a mixed grill plate. The food was absolutely incredible! We were thoroughly pleased with the food, the service, and the atmosphere!! Highly recommend this location if you’re in the area!

My husband and I went there last night for dinner. Good atmosphere, right near the entrance of the beach. I did feel like I was catching hints of it being Smokey inside (cigarette) then other times like cologne. I did the build your own burger, wouldn’t recommend the Italian bun. It was good, just way too big for the actual burger. My first bite was all bun lol. But it was tasty. No complaints otherwise. Twister fries, aka curly fries were delicious. My husband got the Grilled Meat. He liked the option of being able to try 4 different kinds, but he said the meats were good. Nothing fantastic about them, but overall good meal. Seating- Plenty of seats on multiple floors with outside seating weather dependent. Pay- Cash or card

The exhibits showcase a diverse range of artworks and historical items, offering insights into the town's past.
If you like comics and the beach, the Museum of Comic Art (Coma) is probably worth a visit. With stars of the local and international scene, along with revolving exhibitions, this small museum offers a beautiful insight into the reality of the comic book world.

This morning I visited the Katwijks Museum, this museum in Katwijk aan Zee is located in a shopping street and a car-free zone surrounded by zones with paid parking. Today I chose to go by bike as it is within the radius of what I still bike. (Bicycle racks available) The museum staff was nice and helpful. By scanning my museum card I was able to enter. Fun and educational to see what Katwijk used to look like, the clothes people wore back then (traditional costumes), how they lived. There are also scale model fishing ships and paintings on display. There is an elevator. A nice museum to visit.

This unique establishment celebrates food through art, making it a delightful destination for those who appreciate creativity and culinary culture. The museum's collection features intriguing pieces without labels, inviting visitors to engage their imaginations and interpret the artworks personally.
It was a wonderful museum. Both the exhibits in the museum and the garden where the museum is located were very beautiful. The exhibits in the museum caught my son's interest. We had a very nice day. I would love to come again. I recommend it to everyone.

The LAM Museum is a beautifully designed small museum with a unique and thoughtfully curated collection of modern art, all centered around the theme of food. The staff is welcoming and well-informed, happy to answer any questions about the works on display. The museum is located on the picturesque Kasteel Keukenhof estate, making it a pleasure to visit both for the art and the setting. Parking is convenient, and it’s an easy walk from the Keukenhof gardens (during the season). A visit to the LAM is highly worthwhile.

Very neat little museum where all (modern) art revolves around food. The display is very well thought out and each work of art adds to the experience from discarded pieces of bubble gum to the Grand Bacchanal.
Reinoud D — Google review
Great museum, very friendly and helpful staff. The current expo themed around food showing all sorts of weird and wonderful items, and being able to sample some of the icecream afterwards was a treat. Set in the beautiful location of Keukenhof Castle, you can go for a walk around the gardens while you are there. I will definitely visit again.

Very special art museumabout food, drinks and consomption! Interesting and story-telling art pieces, some create a fun feeling, some are gloomy, some remind you some memory or life experience! I recommend it for the interactivity, chats with employees on the different floors, architecture and beautiful location in the castle green parc!

Awesome museum! It starts with the beautifully architecture of the building, but then the central theme of food & consumption, the very visually appealing art and the whole concept of "just walk around and have a chat with us, or we with you" instead of endless signs turns this into an experience that myself and my 4 year old son absolutely loved!

We love it, the staff are very friendly, it's usually not too crowded even on the weekend. Sadly is a bit dirty in certain areas needs a vacuuming that's why I take a star.
Bruna S — Google review
Many places were pretty dirty and the staff at the register laughes at people who just paid or seeked for their support, including us. They dont check the amount of changed money they gave (20€ to 1€ coins) and when returning, they just gave the 1 euro that was missing without commenting which seemed kinda fishy. At least the kids had fun.

Kids will love it, also decent choice of snacks for the parents. Most of the time, there is enough parking space, but it will get busy on rainy weekends and school holidays. When it is busy, the toilets will turn dirty very fast, but that is to be expected with so many kids running around the place. They added laser gaming for older kids, no major changes.

Thanks so much to the staff Chantal, she is super friendly helpful and understanding. She's not like other front desk bxxxxxx literally laughing at you when you needed help as was an emergency. I will def. give your front desk girls NO star for sure. And because of Chantal I am willing to give you guys 1 Star. She isn't the only employee there to be fair and all you can do is to train the front desk girls better (who worked there this morning) for your own good because you never know and also I would suggest to adjust the toddler gates a bit higher. Other than that KidsZoo is so far the best in south Holland.

What a wonderful place! Okay honestly I’ve always been a train enthusiast, so as soon as there’s rail I’m interested. However! Taking that into account. This place is wonderful. It’s big enough and they have a couple of really nice pieces. It really does breath the train atmosphere. As the conductor said: we’re a park for kids of all ages. And indeed they are. It’s cosy, it’s fun and they have steam trains. All aboard!
Thomas — Google review
Today after work, closer to home, again a bit back in time, this time the narrow gauge is +/- 70 centimeters wide and is half the width of the track in the Netherlands. I understood from a stoker that stoking and preparing these narrow-gauge trains takes about 3 hours before they start running. It is heated with coal, which heats water into steam. The driving speed is approximately 15 kilometers per hour. It was nice to visit this museum on this beautiful day. The staff (volunteers) were nice and helpful and I didn't feel bothered to ask questions.
Driver A — Google review
Lots to do! Steam train tours around the lake, diesel visit to the repair shop. 12€/adult. Free for kids under 4. Hours of fun! Locomotives and wagons to visit, historical pictures and photos, lots of small reproductions too. Expect to walk and move from buildings to buildings. Small outdoor play area when waiting for trains. Coffee shop on site next to play area for little ones. Dutch only. It would be nice if it would open earlier!

Additionally, it offers an educational experience about the history of tulip cultivation in the Netherlands, showcasing the journey from bulb to flower.
A beautiful and carefully crafted exhibition all about the history of tulips and the tulip farming process over the years! It was lovely to grow our understanding before frolicking in the tulip fields! So many beautiful types and a truly lovely experience. Although it was the weekend it wasn’t too crowded which was nice too. Being able to collect some tulips to bring home was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!

Absolutely breathtaking experience! 🌷 I visited during tulip season and it was like stepping into a painting—vivid rows of tulips in every color imaginable. You can walk through the fields, take photos in fun set-ups, and even pick your own tulips to take home.
Katerina S — Google review
It was an absolutely amazing experience! I did not regret that I traveled almost 1000 km for this. I realized my dream and visited a sea of flowers! I do not know who could be unhappy with this. Of course, the most important thing is to monitor the condition of the field when you go there. I looked at Instagram every day to see if there were any flowers. And I arrived the day before closing and still I was lucky! I was preparing myself for the worst, that there would be no tulips, but the picture was magnificent! Perhaps the prices for souvenirs or coffee are a little high, but for me after Germany they are normal for a tourist place) All the employees are friendly and welcoming. There are always enough people on the field and I was photographed by random people! And there are enough interesting locations for photos - tables and swings, gazebos, etc. It's a pity I had little time to visit the cafe and look at the museum. But I would come again. I definitely recommend visiting, just keep an eye on the condition of the field, whether the flowers are blooming right now.
Google review
Very impressed with this tulip farm. Beautiful tulip fields with loads of photo ops, a cafe that doesn't rip you off, market to buy tulip souvenirs, take home 5 tulips, museum, kids play area and art gallery. All for €12. Value for money and worth every penny. Highly recommend. Just up the Road from keukenhof so do both! Daffodils too.

Absolutely loved it.. it wasn't overly busy and you could enjoy relative peace amongst the tulips. The windmill looked bigger on their website, so don't be fooled when you look. But it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly, lots of South Africans too which made our day brighter.. the food was good and all in all we had a great day.
Tracy V — Google review
This was such a lovely experience, took my grandmother and she loved the flowers and tulips, so many different types of tulips and the colours were so so beautiful, went on a good sunny day. A lot of people was photobombing and in the way but it’s understandable as the weather was perfect for a day of exploring a tulip gardens. It was just hard to take photos without any people in them. It was an amazing experience
Fathima M — Google review
Lovely place to visit if you want to avoid the crowded garden outside of town. Great alternative. Combined this with a bike rental and spent part of the day visiting this location. Got there early morning and was very quiet and great for taking photos. Did start to crowd up as the day went on but that is to be expected. No lines, cafe inside with food and drink options for a quick snack.
Gesa0311 — Google review
Tulip Experience Amsterdam is a charming small farm near Keukenhof that offers a more hands-on tulip adventure. Unlike Keukenhof, visitors are encouraged to walk through the fields and take photos right among the tulips. We spent about an hour here before moving on. The optional audio tour was informative and explained the process of how new tulip bulbs are formed, as well as the historical methods used to harvest them. At the end, we were allowed to take a few tulips home. Ours lasted all week and added a cheerful touch to our room throughout the trip. There’s a small food court on-site with a few options. Just a heads-up: the tulip lemonade sounded fun but wasn’t very good. I recommend grabbing a Coca-Cola instead. The experience does lean a little toward the touristy side, with a gift shop and photo opportunities that feel designed for social media posts. Parking is available right in front of the entrance, and there's a bus stop a short walk away. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as Keukenhof, so there was plenty of room to explore and take pictures without waiting or dodging other visitors. Overall, while we didn’t enjoy this quite as much as Keukenhof, it was a unique and worthwhile stop that gave us a deeper appreciation for tulips and their history.

Interesting and lively open day with some great talks about Webb Space telescope and the Artemis mission. Plenty to see, in fact so much that unfortunately didn't make it to every building. Presenters behind the tables and on stage were exceptionally knowledgeable and it was such a pleasure to see their passion for space. Few negative notions on the lack of good signs on site (flyer map was also a bit difficult to read), and the fact that the program was announced so late. Furthermore, the Space Rocks event which was advertised under the open day seemed to be a separate event and we were first denied return to ESA premises if we accessed Space Expo. There shouve been a free all day access to both, back and forth. In the end, we got to see Dominique Tipper at Space Expo, and all the cool stuff at ESA so we were very happy. And there was so much free merch!!

Nature preserve
Nestled a bit further from the bustling Noordwijk aan Zee, Project Noordvoort is an intriguing beach reserve that offers a unique experience—visitors are not permitted to set foot on the actual beach. While this may sound unusual, it serves to protect the local wildlife and natural beauty. The area features stunning dunes where you can hike, but remember to keep your pets leashed as deer roam freely.
Very beautiful nature place. Recommend!

(Translated by Google) If you are in Zandvoort, it is worth taking a short walk to the “Strandreservaat Noordvoort”. If you walk along the south beach, a few hundred meters behind the “Fosfor” beach club there are some piles, some of which are in the water. There you are allowed to go left up into the dunes. A dune path (relatively difficult to see) takes you to various viewpoints. From here you can sometimes see seals. We had no luck there. But a few days later I spotted a seal further up the south beach. That was a great experience.

De Muze is a charming cinema that offers a delightful experience for movie lovers and theatergoers alike. Conveniently located near the beach, it boasts easy access via public transport, making it an ideal spot for tourists. The friendly staff enhances the welcoming atmosphere, while the lounge area provides a cozy space to enjoy refreshments from their small bar. Although seating can be tight for taller individuals, the steep arrangement ensures everyone has a good view of the screen.
We are tourist and watched the Barbie movie here. Very nice crowd, good vibe, friendly staff, decent choices of drinks and snacks. The screen is not especially huge, but big enough, and the seats arena is quite steep so that even our eight year old son could easily overlook the adults in front of him. Perfect cinema feeling. They have classical theater, too, but we haven't seen that.
Jott V — Google review
Venue is fine and good selection of drinks but the bar staff don’t understand how queues work and I saw this on multiple occasions...
V B — Google review
A lovely little cinema with comfy seats and a good screen and sound quality. The only downside is the fact they don't play a large quantity of movies due to there only being one screen.
Ben M — Google review
Have dinner on the beach, then scoot over for a wonderful evening of entertainment. Just 12 rows of seats, you're guaranteed ringside seats. Great friendly people host the theater. Enjoy!
Tjeerd V — Google review
A plus for us without a car, is the bus station right on the doorstep of the cinema. Friendly staff at front desk and comfortable lounge seating area to enjoy refreshments from the small bar. Withholding one star though because people with long legs may find the space between the rows in the cinema are not sufficient. I had to sit sideways towards the end of the movie to be comfortable and I am not even very tall. Apart from that everything else was super especially great that you don't have problems to see over heads in the row in front of you!

The Rozenburg Wind Wall is an impressive sight, standing like sentinels to shield the city from the cold winds of the North Sea. Resembling the Terracotta Army, these concrete structures silently watch over passing ships and provide a great spot for capturing photos of vessels passing under the Caland Bridge. As the largest windbreak in the world, it boasts a good design and serves its purpose effectively. While some may find its appearance old-fashioned, others appreciate its unique charm.
Like great sentinels these concrete structures protect the city and its people from the cold winds of the north sea. They stand in line like the Terracotta Army, silently watching as the ships pass by. Amazing!!

If you’re a fan of brutalism, this is the place to visit. While biking is the best way to get here, driving is also acceptable, but be prepared for a long walk because parking is very limited in this area. For a more enjoyable experience, visit during an overcast day and be prepared for strong winds. After all, that’s why this place was built in the first place.

Truly a hidden gem! A fantastic selection of great works from a variety of artists, but carefully chosen as all artists offer a different style. We bought two pieces from Leo van der Ende and absolutely love them. As we have left Holland 8 years ago, the works are a great reminder of home. The reception by Peter and Edith was wonderful, they have put together a great collection. We will be back for sure! Thank you Peter and Edith!

(Translated by Google) We wanted to have a beautiful photo immortalized on canvas. With that idea in mind we started looking for a painter. The ArtBoutique website immediately appealed to us. After we made contact, the assignments also turned out to be affordable. To get a good impression of what exactly we wanted, we looked in the gallery. We were received very hospitably by Peter and Edith and this really helped us to make the right choices. We were able to view the different works of several painters. Marc Lamers was the painter who could best meet our wishes. We were able to discuss our assignment in great detail and then place it. We were then kept informed about the progress and delivery of the canvas. At the expected time, we received a photo of the canvas and were asked whether it met our wishes. For us it was an immediate hit – a beautiful painting! This turned out to be even more beautiful in real life, we were very successful! Peter also helped us make a handmade decorative frame for the painting. After this appointment and then making the frame, we were able to take the painting home. We are very satisfied with this gallery and the painter.
