Amusement center
Bowling alley
Miniature golf course
Located on the Zeedijk in Blankenberge, Belgium, Sportland is an indoor amusement arcade that has been providing entertainment for four generations. The venue offers a wide variety of fun activities and arcade machines, creating a vibrant atmosphere with colorful lights. In addition to the arcade games, there is also a bowling area for visitors to enjoy. While it may feel crowded at times, especially for those concerned about COVID-19, the extensive selection of games ensures that everyone can find something they enjoy.
A pleasant experience, but undoubtedly the highlight of our visit was when the employee situated behind the gift shop denied a family the option to redeem their tickets after cutting in a line before us and told them to follow the rest, as he was currently supervising a student beside him. Truly a heroic action to take in defense of the other people who were neatly waiting in line. Sincerely P. Onytail

Unbelievable unfriendly... just imagine a casino for little kids. Warning for parents, kids come out crying after they have lost again, house always wins. Also curious what social inspection would discover here after meeting some of the staff. A leftover from the 20th century... I think the city could do better with another fonction for this large space.
Edwin V — Google review
The biggest arcade Ive been too! It was amazing with many fun activities to do and a lot of fun arcade machines! Weve spent the night there having so much fun and the vibe especially created by the colorful lights is just beautiful. They also have a little bowling place it was definetely a fun experience!

Pretty cool, give off an "American" arcade vibe, if you're stressed about covid it might be a bit hard because it's a close space with quite a bit of people

Restaurant
Jumpsquare Oostende (formerly known as Hangtime) is a vibrant indoor trampoline park spanning 1,000 square meters. It features an array of attractions including trampolines, a ball bath, and an engaging play area for young children. The facility also houses a delightful coffee bar. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various extras such as basketball hoops, dodgeball trampolines, and foam pits.
It was a really fun day in Jumpsquare. They offer several activities like basketball, airbags where you can jump from a tower or my favourite computer games with a big variety of play modes which is really entertaining. The trampolines actual looked new and the music was great. As an adult it’s still fun to go on a not so busy day and sport. Afterwards you can also enjoy some food and drink at the restaurant.
Mafe C — Google review
My kids absolutely loved the park! There’s plenty of space for everyone, and the equipment is in perfect condition. I also really enjoyed relaxing on their beautiful terrace. The highlight: the outstanding customer service – super attentive, caring, and genuinely friendly to all visitors. 100% recommended!
Luis C — Google review
The receptionist is assisting as very well with our concerns. Kids were enjoying a lot with different varieties of stations to play.❤️
Carol Z — Google review
This is one of the best indoor parks we’ve visited! My kids and I had such a great time. The entire place is very clean and well-maintained, and the activities are perfect for children of all ages. It’s also excellent value for money—you really get a lot for the price. Highly recommend
Hamdi — Google review
After we had a lot of fun here last year and were very satisfied, we can no longer recommend Jumpsquare after the change of operator (previously Hangtime). We were wondering why it was so empty in the hall. Parents now have to pay the full entrance fee even if they just want to watch the children. The staff were visibly embarrassed to have to send us out of the hall, even though I was only standing in the locker area (entrance area). In addition, the music is too loud, the rubbish bin's are full to the brim and the toilets are dirty (at 12 noon). 1 star for the friendliness of the staff, but that's no reason for us to come back. Meanwhile a sad place.
Jürgen K — Google review
I would highly recommend this place! First of all it offers a great opportunity for the kids to get rid of some energy, and it‘s also a place where parents can sit and enjoy food and a large variety of alcoholfree beverages and beers at reasonable prices. But the thing that really warmed my heart today ist the lovely team. Thank you very much for your extraordinary kindness
Stefanie G — Google review
We visited jump oostende today with a family of 4 (including 2 young children). Everyone had a great time and the young man working there helped us with everything we needed(as we were foreign and it was our first visit to the park). Really good experience, would recommend
Maggi — Google review
Even for those who do not go for the trampolines, the place is worth visiting for the cafeteria. There’s a huge free playground where you can keep your kids busy (it’s mostly a family place) and have drinks in their nice saloon. They also have a very big beautiful terrace. Prices are average and the Ginger Lemonade is delicious.

(Translated by Google) If even the rice is undercooked, you should fire your "chef" and quit. The food was really really bad. Never had such a bad meal at a restaurant. Portions were very uneven (my wife had too little, I had too much, but mainly rice). Their so called specials included a tikka masala, which really wasn't a tikka masala. Chicken had chunks and chunks of fat, sauce just wasn't tikka sauce. Children had meatballs in tomato sauce. My daughter likes everything, and she found the sauce disgusting. I have tasted, not eat so sour. The meatballs were cold and there were only one and a half!? Very bizarre. Pissijns were out of order and the toilet wouldn't flush. And the worst: the bill. They serve terrible food for an embarrassingly high price. NEVER AGAIN. Kinderen hadden gehaktballen in tomatensaus.

Nature & Parks
Sea Life Blankenberge is a family-friendly aquarium featuring over 5,000 sea creatures. Visitors can explore freshwater and tropical exhibits, including piranhas and Belgian lake fish. The outdoor area offers a Seal & Sea Lion Show, Asian Small-clawed Otters, Humboldt Penguins, Crab Island for hands-on experiences with ocean creatures, and the North Sea Discovery Centre. Daily shows are available in Dutch with an engaging English-speaking guide.
Lovely experience! Definitely give it a go if you're impressed by flora and fauna.

A Great Rainy Day Experience at Sealife Blankenberge On a rainy Saturday morning, my 10-year-old daughter and I visited Sealife Blankenberge, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. We received a warm and friendly welcome, and the entrance went quickly. I would recommend buying e-tickets, although the online booking process could be a bit smoother. Even though the weather was bad, the park was not too crowded, which made the visit more relaxed. We started with the Amazon zone, which is beautifully designed and really feels like a small adventure. The attention to detail is on the same level as what you see in large zoos. The same goes for the Ocean theme, which is very well presented. Of course, Sealife is smaller, so you see fewer animals, but I don’t think it is fair to compare it directly to a big zoo. Instead, the smaller scale offers more opportunities for interaction. There are many interactive screens, available in Dutch, French, and English, and even a paid 3D experience, which shows they are trying to innovate. The staff walking around were excellent—very approachable, helpful, and always ready to explain things. This really makes Sealife stand out compared to some other aquariums and zoos. Outside, to my daughter’s delight, there was a climbing park. It was a great way to play and take a short break from the animals. Some of the outdoor enclosures had rather cloudy water, which made the view a bit less attractive. Still, given the North European climate, I can imagine it is difficult to keep the water and glass perfectly clean all the time. All in all, we spent almost three hours there and enjoyed it very much. At around €23.50 per person, I felt it was more than worth the price. Sealife Blankenberge is definitely a fun and educational experience, especially with children.
Jeroen G — Google review
Yes ok, this Sea Life is small, but anyone who says you're done in 20 minutes simply has no heart. You can spend 20 minutes alone sitting next to the giant handicapped sea turtle and while you look into its eyes, the wisdom of the centuries flows over into you. You can watch the seahorses for just as long and ponder how the hell they can swim so fast and why one grabs the tail of the other with its mouth and pulls it down. You can be frightened by the surprise attack of a ray. You can watch a starfish wandering around, and so on and so forth. Plus, as mentioned elsewhere, the demonstrations with informative talks. The team is very committed and even goes out of their way to answer questions. Children can spend four hours without getting bored. However, it wasn't too crowded when we visited (Sunday in August).
Klaas B — Google review
Great family activity. Not to big but also not too small. Provides good information about the different animals.
Quandredrick F — Google review
Went at 10:00, otter feeding show was great 👍 not the biggest place but enough to see and learn about. Maverick was amazing at explaining how the rehab works for the sick, wild sea lions. Honestly a great experience and date for us, but the other people visiting were the only things letting me down. But then again its the summer, some families are just better than others in public
Vega S — Google review
Sealife in Blankenberge is a very nice place to visit and really interesting, especially for sea world fans. There are many fascinating things to see and learn about marine life, which makes it a fun experience overall. The only small downside is that when walking inside, some areas feel a bit narrow. However, this doesn’t take away from the enjoyment – it’s still a unique and funny experience worth trying. And by the way… nice tattoo 🤣
Nasraouia M — Google review
Nice place for a rainy day. We went very late so we couldn't see all attractions. So we only can give 4 stars. People who work there are super friendly and we felt very good there. It's a nice attraction to do when you are in this area. 👍🏻
Esther Z — Google review
Nice place for the animals. Many rescued species, some of them released in the wild after being cured by their caretaker and others have a nice life there, as they would not survive in the wild due to their disabilty (Cracker the seaturtle, Lily the seal...). Very nice staff approaching you to give you more info and insights. A two to three hours visit should do, including the presentations when feeding various species (I love that they don't do circus stunts with the animals). Little advice: bring food and drinks if you want to eat here, as the food and drink options are quite limited.

A few days ago I went to dinner with my husband and sister and after dinner we were able to see how one of the guys who works in the kitchen put his hands behind his back, after scratching he smelled his hands! That same night my sister had a very bad stomach pain! The next day the doctor diagnosed her with a parasite infection, I told him what I saw in the casino and he assured me that it was very possibly the reason! I will go to the necessary organizations to report this situation. It is against the law to have workers with parasites or diseases, it is easy to transmit like covid. 19

This is the first time I went to the casino and it was a nice experience. Drinks are not too expensive and the people who work here are very friendly. De Haan's public beach embodies cleanliness and serves as a welcoming spot for families. It offers ample room to accommodate everyone without feeling overcrowded, while also providing conveniently located washrooms and toilets.
Beautiful beach in a beautiful location. The beach is really clean and there is plenty of parking along the coastal road. The sand dunes and beach grass are a lovely backdrop to this powder white beach. We visited on several days the sea channel from calm to big waves with kite surfers making the most of the wind and crashing waves. Further towards De Haan there is a small park on the beach with a pirate ship, great for children. We visited in winter but there’s an ice cream shop just off the beach but due to the time of year was closed. Lovely little town with a beautiful beach.

I recently visited BowlInn in Blankenberge and had a great time. BowlInn in Blankenberge offers a fantastic experience for families and friends. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly. One suggestion would be to expand the menu zich more healthy options. This could not only increase variety but also attract health-conscious visitors. The facilities are well-maintained, but adding more play space for children would be a great enhancement. Overall, BowlInn is an excellent entertainment spot, and with a few small improvements, it can become even better. I look forward to returning and seeing how it develops!

(Translated by Google) A wonderfully nostalgic activity for both young and old. The welcome was very friendly, and the fleeting interactions with other players on the course were great fun. It was busy, and the terrain looks a bit dated, but that didn't detract from the fun for us. The authenticity is an added bonus that still appeals to both young children and adults. It's fantastic that this still exists just as I remember it from my childhood.

BALUBA indoor speelparadijs in De Haan is a haven for kids up to 12 years old, offering a wide range of play equipment to keep them entertained for hours. The indoor playground boasts clean and varied play options, including trampolines at an additional cost. Despite the extra charges, the friendly staff and ample space make it a great alternative on bad weather days.

(Translated by Google) A disappointing indoor playground compared to other Balubas. Trampolines have to be paid extra. How is that possible in an indoor playground??? Several things that were broken a year and a half ago were still broken during our visit last weekend. Ball pool = still empty, several cannons still not working, turntables are also broken. I always thought CP stood for quality, but things that have been broken since 2023 still won't be fixed in 2025. I'm afraid my review won't make much difference, but I can try. This outdoor facility, known as Family Park Sierk, is not exactly a traditional "theme park" since it lacks rides. However, it has a definite circus theme and offers various interactive activities that encourage physical movement. The majority of the park is outdoors, which is quite impressive. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating; they even offered to communicate in English for those struggling with understanding Dutch. Additionally, there is a small indoor bar where visitors can enjoy drinks and snacks.
Wonderful place. It's a circus themed amusement park for children with lots of small attractions like a maze, little caravans filled with entertainment (one has baths full of balls) and a lot of things to climb on, jump off, jump in. There's a lot for different ages too, and there's a lot of colors and beautiful woodwork. Grownups can have a drink and even join in some of the entertainment. Highly recommend.
Bregt C — Google review
Excellent find! Hours of fun for kids discovering all the fun things in this park - while parents can sit and enjoy their drinks 😃 do not hesitate - absolutely worth the money ( even if you have to pay 10 euro for adults also). Will come again!
Andreea C — Google review
This is a fun and original playground for kids. There is so much to discover for kids from 2 to up to 8-10 years. Even after 4 hours of being there our kids did not want to leave. It is more a playground, but I think they named it a 'park' and not a 'playground' so they could charge parents entry fee aswell, which does make it more expensive. But on the up side, you can bring your own food/drinks and the drinks/snacks they provide are quite cheap. Very friendly owners.
David B — Google review
The park is really dirty and crowdy. Every body has to pay to enter even if only kids can play. My kid was lost in a game and it took me 20min to find him, because it was no accessible for an adult ! Fortunately, the employees are amazing and did everything to help find him. Thank you.
Fa B — Google review
We loved this outdoor facility. I would not really call it a "theme park," as it has no rides, but it definitely is circus themed. There are all sorts of hands on activities and many opportunities for large and small body movement.. and it's nearly all out of doors. Pretty incredible. The owners are super friendly and even offered to speak English with me as I was having a difficult time with understanding everything in Dutch. They have a small indoor drink and snack bar and even have juice produced from their own apples and pears as well as locally produced ice cream. Though, for a full meal, you'll likely have to go elsewhere.

Forget the big name parks, this is where it's at! Kids having loads of fun in all the nooks and crannies, and there's wine and local beers for mom and dad at reasonable prices. Been here 3 times already, and plan on coming back until the kids (7 & 3 ATM) don't want to anymore.

Royal Ostend Golf Club is a highly recommended links course that provides a memorable experience for golf enthusiasts. The unique features of this course, such as the dry fairways, tall grasses, and forgiving areas, make it a must-play destination. Although the greens were recently punched, they are in the process of healing well. The elevated tees offer breathtaking sea views, adding to the overall charm of the course. The friendly pro shop staff adds to the positive atmosphere and warm hospitality.
Among the plethora of impressive golf courses in Belgium, the Royal Ostend stands out as a true gem, having celebrated its remarkable 120th anniversary. This links course offers golfers an extraordinary experience, set against the backdrop of breathtaking dunes and the captivating sea. Notably, holes number 6 and 8 are exceptionally memorable, challenging golfers with their strategic intricacies and stunning views. The Royal Ostend doesn't just excel on the course; its staff is renowned for their warm hospitality, ensuring that your visit is as enjoyable as it is memorable. And if you find yourself needing a little retail therapy at the pro shop, rest assured that your credit card is in good hands. Once your round is complete, a mere five-minute stroll will take you to the serene coastline, allowing you to unwind and soak in the beauty of the sea, unless, of course, you've already had enough walking during your unforgettable round of golf.
Peter C — Google review
Good “royal” old links. Holes are generally rather short but can feel endless when played against the wind. Nice varied layout. Only drawback: there are roads and a tram line crossing the course and cutting it into 4 sections. Crossing between sections is confusing and dangerous as cars zip by and there are not always pedestrian crossings

Played yesterday in the afternoon. The weather was not good, but there was a break so we decided to go out on the course. After three holes the rain was coming down like cats and dogs!! Wind was blowing 31kmh. We decided to quit after 4. When getting back to the club, I asked if we could get a voucher. Then, the first words out of the lady’s mouth in the shop were “You knew what you were getting into before you paid!” And she was rude about it. We understand that we went in the bad weather, but when playing Koksijde the next day, they were shocked by that action. Overall terrible customer experience and even the restaurant was closed!! They should have just gone ahead and closed the course for the day!

De Lustige Velodroom in Blankenberge is a historic and nostalgic bike track that has been entertaining visitors of all ages for generations. The well-maintained track offers a variety of novelty bikes, including offset hub/wheel bikes and those with different sized wheels, providing plenty of laughs for both riders and spectators. Additionally, the area surrounding the attraction features a good spa near the beach and a nearby port, offering additional activities to enjoy.
I had a great time at the velodrome today! I had never been to one before, but I was really impressed. The track was well-maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. I decided to try out many of the novelty bikes, and I had a lot of fun. I rode a offset hub/wheel bike, bikes with different sized wheels front to back, pedals on wheels themselves and so on. Some were all a lot harder to ride than I thought they would be, but it was a lot of laughs. I would definitely recommend this velodrome to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience. It's a great place to get some exercise and have a laugh with friends. Here are some of the specific things I liked about the velodrome: * The track was well-maintained and smooth to ride on. * The staff was friendly and helpful. * There was a good variety of novelty bikes to choose from. * It was a lot of fun to try out different types of bikes. * Overall, I had a great time at the velodrome and I would definitely recommend it to others. Here are some additional tips for your visit: * Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can move around in easily. * Bring sunscreen and a hat if it's going to be a sunny day. * Be aware of your surroundings and watch out for other riders. There are a lot of children! I hope you have a great time at the velodrome!

There is a very good Spa in front of the beach. Its really good thing to visit. Check the weather before going there. You can also visit the Port near to this area. But you need appointment for that. So book in advance. Also nice to see that. There is building in the beach. Very nice Sunset view from there.

My husband was remembering the steps up to the promenade/beach from when he visited 60 years ago. They still exist. All thanks to the Belgian chap who offered friendship during the war to his headmaster inviting the children from Leeds to his hotel. Now a thriving holiday destination- just not to my taste. My husband helped with the bicycles on the velodrome as he couldn't afford to pay. He remembers being given the chance to ride when it became quiet.

Improved since we last visited 3 years ago. 2 play areas for different aged kids, a boules area, and tennis courts. The bike / kart shop opposite was doing a roaring trade in pedal karts which the kids were flying around the park in. The waffle / ice cream shop across the road was also popular. And only 4 mins from the beach.

Multiple family retreat on the weekend after new year! + Ones: easy to reach, close to town center, banks, a few shops and eating places, 3 minutes walk to the beach, with about half a mile of promenade with some shops (deserted at this time a year) Lots of spacious rooms with 2-3 or multiple beds. Fairy clean and in decent shape. Sauna (one common plus a private one in first bedroom), one tan bed, gym area (running gear, no weights) swimming pool (indoor, covered for child safety, heated, with 2 showers. Outside BBQ area and sunbeds (X 2), one with exit from the pool, one from main living area. Play area for kids and adults. - ones They wanted separate payment of 15 euros for one set of bedsheets (who the hell goes on holiday with his own bedsheets???) Very worn out play area (kids an adult especially) Temperature of pool water could not be adjusted. Big and spatious enough for our 20'ish adults and 8-10 kids. Television in each room and internet access (kids didn't complain about speed, so good enough). We even had a party for around 40 adults there, and space was decent. Self catering though, no B&B. Pool big enough for 10-15 people. Not the best looking building around, but clean and fairly new bathroom fixtures. There is a tag at the entrance with a five star rating on it (probably Disney Princess stars) because it's something between 2-3 stars (compared with a hotel). Good enough for short brakes of medium size groups. No pictures taken, gloomy weather and no snow would have put out the mood.

I would give zero stars if that was possible. Opening times clearly stated online and on the window of the business itself. However, nobody to be seen there during opening times. I would suggest to other visitors first check by other Mini-Golf courses as this was a disappointment.

A good place for minigolfing near the tourist center of Bredene, we really enjoyed it there. Some of the holes are quite tricky, it depends on the player if you can handle that well. Broken courses (some really badly damaged). Theme that used to be there, but now only a shadow. There used to be a playground that, after years of being broken, has finally been removed (yay?). Other than that, there's a nice terrace and nothing bad to say about the building. We were kindly welcomed by the employee, hence the second star. There were four of us and we were completely full by the time we were halfway through. The people behind us didn't even finish it. This minigolf course is a perfect example that it's all about money now. Nothing more was done to carry out major repairs, and this minigolf course would be better off rebuilt. Renovating is pointless due to the damage that has accumulated over the years. It's a disgrace that Bredene can even allow this at a cultural center... Strand De Haan is a beautiful beach located in Klemskerke-De Haan, with a Mediterranean-style architecture that gives it the feel of southern France. It's a great place for families, offering a "fake" ship where kids can play and enjoy the shore. The area is also perfect for nature lovers, with opportunities for long walks on the beach even in winter when it's less crowded.
September 2024 5* Visited the beach side and enjoyed the day. The beach is very clean and sand is very good. You can enjoy the water activities and have fun on beach side. There are many restaurants along the beach side. De Haan is beautiful city and Einstein stayed in this city for 6 months. The place has rich history with long beach tram line.

This is a quite long sandy beach and it wasn't to crowded when we visited in June. Just wasn't very impressed with the colour of the water it didn't look very inviting. Recommended

A really nice Beach and not too crowded.

Beach front with restaurants, stores, new age crystals, inscents, the houses are so beautiful, parking was a bit of a challenge but not too difficult to find, there were nice hotels but no we did not stay in any hotel because we were there only for the day. The beach is beautiful! The water was very refreshing. Flying out kyte was easy with the perfect amount of wind.

A wonderful beach to match a charming little town.

Probably the most beautifull beach of Belgium. Having a walk in the dunes or on the beach is very nice and pleasing. The surroundings is full of old and authentic houses. The are is very clean and well maintained. This region is probably my most favorite on the Belgian coast.

Very beautiful beach! I come from the Philippines which is an island in Asia region that has a lot of beautiful beaches as well, but for some reason, I really appreciated the beauty of Strand De Haan much more than our beaches back home. This beach is very nice, even if you are just there to walk by the promenade and look at the beach to pass the time. Walk with your family. Or bring your kids near the shore. There is a "fake" ship near it where kids can play. It is a kid-friendly place. Sometimes you can see people riding there horses near the shore too. It is simply beautiful during sunset as well because the sky has some really nice and soft blue, white and pink colors. The architecture of the houses, shops, and other buildings really leaves me in awe. Worth a visit! I really enjoyed my time here.

Amazing beach, the sand goes on for miles and the sea goes out really far so good for small children to be in the sea and it not be deep. Lifeguards are on constant patrol and lots of little bars for drinks and nibbles. Great day out.

Lovely setting on the beach with palms and great views. Nice vibe and attention to detail. Staff attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed it so much we stayed for 3 drinks instead of one. When a rain shower came over they we out asking if people wanted umbrellas. Reasonable prices for type if location. If in area again will definitely return.

Not happy with the service. We reserved and paid for a spot but found out other people had taken them in stead. The people were not very helpful and we had to wait quite some time.

On the beach surrounded by plexiglass to protect from the constant wind. An enjoyable spot to have a beer in the sun on the sand.

The beach remains less crowded, making it ideal for those seeking tranquility. Facilities are minimal, so bringing essentials is recommended. Its natural beauty and calm ambiance create a serene experience, making it a delightful spot for nature lovers and those looking to unwind.

Worst experience on De Haan beach. I rented a chair and umbrella for 12,50 and when I went swimming, in the meantime, they re-rented my stuff again, making more money by stealing from customers. Fortunately, the police was nearby and I managed to get my money back. Don't hesitate to search for police when they pull these tricks on you and try to make money by stealing the rented equipment. If you don't want to have your day ruined, avoid this place and its arrogant staff.

De Haan is lovely and so is it's beach as you can wander off into the dunes
