Public beach
Playa de los Guios, also known as Playa de Los Gigantes, is a small grey sandy and rocky beach nestled amidst steep cliffs with stunning harbor views. Located in Acantilados de Los Gigantes resort in Santiago del Teide municipality, it offers a quiet and relaxed holiday experience in one of Tenerife's most picturesque spots. The area is renowned for the towering giant rocks that give it its name.
A beautiful beach with stunning views. Showers available for washing off sand which was very valuable, my children were covered in the black sand! Lifeguard sat on the beach which very reassuring. We were there for an hour on a Sunday mid morning in December and it was fairly quiet. Left our possessions by the rocks and then paddled. Was very clean; the water and the beach. A couple or benches at the top of the ramp. Easily accessible.

Small beach with totally black sand, crowded. Fantastic view to the los gigantes cliffs. Lots of hotels around and up the mountain. Sweet old town in the middle

Magnificent view on the gigantic clifs of Los Gigantes. Beach is with black sand and rocks. The day when we visit it there were waves and some dirt apear in the water.

Quite small but a nice beach, the sea rough and the current strong (as it is everywhere around this area). Clean and tidy beach toilets close by and showers and bins available.

3Puerto de Santiago

Puerto de Santiago, situated on the southwest coast of Tenerife, offers a more authentic experience compared to other resorts in the area. The hotel, nestled into the hillside, provides contemporary Scandi decor and stunning views of Los Gigantes cliffs, La Gomera island, or Mount Teide from many of its 400 rooms. This quaint village is often overlooked as part of a larger tourist resort with Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena but has its own unique charm.

Mirador Archipenque is a must-visit spot for breathtaking views of the Los Gigantes cliffs in Tenerife. Situated on the TF-454 road, it offers unobstructed vistas of the cliffs, the westernmost point of the island, and neighboring islands like La Palma and La Gomera. The viewpoint features a small platform where visitors can admire the ocean and purchase souvenirs or enjoy a cup of coffee.
Splendid place to have a wonderful panorama over the ocean and the Los Gigantes. The sunset moment is the pick of the day.
Cristian G — Google review
I give this 3 stars only because although there is a view, there are other much better view points, and I didn't feel like I missed anything. What is nice is that there is a cafe next to it where you can grab a bite and there are souvenirs too. Parking is available on the side of the road, so it's not too bad if you'd like to stop here. No ticket needed - free to park and view!
Babita S — Google review
Nice viewpoint, but with a name like Los Gigantes, I expected something a bit more… gigante. The view is pretty, sure, just didn’t knock my socks off. I also hoped to grab a coffee with a view, but the only place there felt more like a souvenir spot than a café. Not bad, just didn’t quite hit the mark.
Richard F — Google review
Great spot to watch the sunset and the Los Gigantes cliffs. There are a few parking spots, a cafe and a small watchtower as well.

Playa de la Arena is a popular cove known for its wide stretch of black sand, offering beach chair rentals and various dining options. The area features restaurants and bars in nearby towns like Los Gigantes and Puerto Santiago. Playa de la Arena is a great place to relax on the unique black sand beach while enjoying the local cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.
We stayed in a hotel very close to this beach and were lucky enough to get very nice weather. Its well maintained beach with fantastic views. The sunset was amazing. There is nice toilets nearby and stores where you can find good swimming stuffs. Its kids friendly too. It can get very huge waves but depends on the weather. Overall, it was a good experience for myself and my kids. Absolutely recommend it.
Suresh M — Google review
The beach is clean, with a lifeguard who takes good care of it. There are showers and toilets available. The sand is beautiful, but I have to admit that the volcanic sand gets extremely hot when the sun is out — it can really burn your feet, so flip-flops are a must.
Monika B — Google review
Excellent beach. There is lifeguard, showers, toilents and you can rent 2 beds+umbrella for 15€. There are also some restaurants around to eat. Perfect!
Lenka K — Google review
A small but beautiful beach with unique black volcanic sand – definitely a picturesque spot worth seeing. The scenery is amazing, and the contrast of the dark sand with the blue ocean is something special. But let’s be real – the same things that make it charming can also be a bit of a downside. Because it’s small, it gets super crowded, especially in peak hours. Finding a comfortable spot to lay down your towel and relax can be a mission. And the black sand? Looks stunning, sure. But it heats up like crazy under the sun – walking barefoot is pretty much a no-go unless you enjoy hopping around like you’re doing a firewalk. That said, it’s still a lovely place to visit, especially if you’re in the area. Just come early, bring sandals, and be ready to fight for a spot!
Otakar K — Google review
Beautiful little beach with striking black sand. The water is clear and great for swimming. Just be careful—the sand gets really hot in the sun!
Jan R — Google review
A beach with extremely fine black sand that sparkles beautifully in the sun and looks absolutely fantastic in contrast with the blue water. The sand is beautiful but gets extremely hot way faster than brighter sand. The beach had the red flag so people were not allowed to enter the water. You could sit on the shore though but careful! strong waves can still hit you and fill your suit with hundreds of small black stones that arw quite difficult to take out. Luckily the beach is equipped with showers, toilets, everything you need. The possibility to rent sunbeds / umbrellas for 4eur (very decent price). Lifeguard on duty during the day (and very strict and attentive, always vigilent for the people who were getting too close to the water) Is not too easy to find parking but there is street parking on the main street and then you need to walk a few minutes to reach the beach.
Nadia M — Google review
Sandy beach, close to many restaurants and natural pools. Beautiful black sand but it gets very hot. There’s an option to pay for sun beds and umbrellas.
Tihomir B — Google review
I think it's the black beach with the thinnest sand on the island, which is very comfortable.

Charco de Isla Cangrejo, located in Los Gigantes, Tenerife, is a stunning natural pool made of volcanic rock and protected by a concrete breakwater. It offers a great opportunity to admire the beautiful landscape and take a refreshing dip in the water. While it's ideal for families and sunbathing when the sea is calm, accessing the pool can be challenging due to slippery rocks. Visitors are advised to wear appropriate footwear and be cautious.
We came around 10-11am and there weren’t that many people. It was a nice area to swim as it was protected from strong waves. It got busy after midday but we already had finished our swim so it was good.
Albert O — Google review
It is currently closed so you can’t go down but it very stunning pool to look at from the viewpoints surrounding. As other reviews said, the water does look a bit dirty so I don’t think I would want to swim here even if it was open
Grace T — Google review
Cool little place to visit. Not the most exciting but certainly unique and worth stopping for if you’re driving past or nearby. Be careful depending on weather as it can be extremely dangerous. It can get quite busy too.
Louis — Google review
It's a cool place to come like garrachico there is a rock formation pool and then there is the sea which you can swim in but note it is rough in the right side of the pool and there is cliff where you can get pulled under so avoid swimming there swim on the left if you can swim. Water in the sea is clean and clear but the pool is somewhat stagnant and warm so best enjoyed earlier in the day... as who knows who has pissed in there hahahaha. But it has cool views and sunset and there is loads of parking on the streets there is a car park in the path leading down to the steps. Obviously no toilets. Wear rock shoes I got away with flip flops but the paths are rocky to the pool and if you want a nice spot to chill and sunbathe.
The M — Google review
Lush natural pool, looks like a natural infinity pool. Not to far of a walk from where we were staying, was never overly busy but we arrived early just incase. You can swim right to the edge and the waves crash over the top.
Heidi W — Google review
Such a cool place for a swim, the views are phenomenal. It's kinda slippery getting in because of all the algae but just be careful, if you don't like the feeling of algae I recommend wearing shoes for rocks.
Jovana M — Google review
The view was simply astonishing! And the water had ideal temperature - compared to the nearby ocean
Štefan J — Google review
The place is beautiful 😻 and it makes for some great pictures, sightseeing and people watching. However, please use your common sense for your safety here. Coming from Hawai’i, to me is just normal to understand and respect the ocean. I see several negative reviews about how dangerous this place is. It’s only dangerous if you don’t have common sense. If the tie is high and the water is rough, it makes sense not to get in the water or even get closer to the pool. Waves sizes are not consistent and it’s obvious at one point one huge wave will come and will drag you into the open ocean. If the water is calm, this place is perfectly safe. We took our kids here and the water was calm but we didn’t let them in because it felt super dirty. Such a shame. Also watch your step as you cross the narrow platform because it’s super slippery. I was more interested in exploring the little cave beach to the left of the pool. Three stars because it’s not completely natural and because it was dirty.

Swimming pool
Piscina Natural Acantilado de Los Gigantes is a mesmerizing natural swimming spot formed by molten lava, creating shallow pools nestled within rugged rocks. The pool offers a laid-back charm and is perfect for leisurely swims and sightseeing. It's a photographer's dream, especially at sunset. Accessible yet rocky and exposed, it's recommended to wear sandals for safety.
We loved this place, but it can get crowded. It can be tricky to get in because rocks are slippery in some places and the ocean splashes in and makes waves. Be careful and don't climb on the edge like we've seen people do, the edge is slippery and the waves crashing make water aerated(google it).
Milica — Google review
Cool place. Not massively worth visiting but can be a cool stop. Make sure you bring water shoes as there are sea urchins and it can be very slippy. Also take note of the weather and safety signs.
Louis — Google review
Really enjoyed this pool after a hike! We came here close to sunset. It's a perfect place to just chill. It's not deep and you can stand in most places. Sometimes you get a nice ocean wave splashing in. You can also watch Los Gigantes cliffs nearby. For parking, you can park 10 minutes away in the city on one of the small streets.
Ivan K — Google review
A natural seawater pool that at first glance looks harmless enough, but exercise caution if you're taking a dip. The waves are rougher than you think and the surrounding rocks are extremely slippery. Not very deep, but there are submerged rocks. There's no lifeguard or safety equipment around. Access is via a lot of steps and some scrambling over the rocks is required to reach the pool, so not disabled friendly. Lots of cigarette butts and algae floating in the water.
Small G — Google review
Fab swimming place protected from big waves crashing nearby , you got to set up your space on the rocks as not really any flat spaces to do so ,, parking a few streets away was lucky , we loved it 😀 not got the same facilities as mesa del Mar or bajamar but a total gem
Alex P — Google review
A sight to see, but also a sight that needs to be cleaned. Yes the pool is gorgeous but the whole area is so littered, with food, cigarette butts, pee and god knows what else. So we went for a quick look but didn’t even bother getting undressed for a dive Humans clearly can’t have nice things — but we knew this already
Cor C — Google review
This natural pool is in a good spot but there are more problems I need to describe. First of all it's dirty, it's green, not blue as it'd has to be, the water is not changing too much. Second take care of walking in to the water they don't clean the rocks so it's super sliding! Parking in the neighborhood can be a nightmare. Of course there's no shade to hide from sun if you're sensitive (thankfully I'm not). Also, there's no a single shop to buy some food so be prepared!
Sándor L — Google review
Please do not use this pool!!!!! It's the most dangerous place I've ever swum.. I escaped narrowly with my life on Thursday last week and as a result feel very lucky to be alive.. There are zero safety methods in place and all that were in place are broken, note also there are no lifeguards. People onlooking filming and taking pictures and are basically waiting for the next death to occur.. A man died and was swept over the pools edge the very next day... The Atlantic ocean and currents in this region and location are so strong.. even if you think you are a good swimmer, please do not risk it.. life is precious ✨️ They need to re-close this place again (note the authorities did do this in 2022) as there have been too many deaths and accidents.. and people narrowly escaping with their lives. Please read this and take into account the dangers, it's not worth it.

Fully packed terrace with during rush hour with great service, well done. Quick and kind. The food we had was amazing. We had some taco s and tortilla s. The taco with shrimp was so good. The price is compared to some places a bit higher, but thats ok for the location, service and food.

I had such a great time at this beach club! I tried the brownie with ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, warm, and perfectly paired with the cold ice cream. The shrimp tacos were so good I ended up ordering them twice! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I even got to practice my Spanish with them, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The view from my table was breathtaking—perfect for a relaxing meal by the ocean. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food and a chill, friendly vibe by the beach!

We had a wonderful experience at this bar with its stunning view of Los Gigantes – truly one of the best spots to sit back and enjoy the scenery. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, making it the perfect place to unwind. A special mention goes to our waiter Derek, who provided excellent service. He was attentive without ever being intrusive, always appearing at just the right moment. His friendly and professional manner really made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service combined with an unforgettable view!

Kind and fast service!:) We waited around 15 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. Their burger was extremly tasty, and their strawberry mojito is just something else. You should book a table, or be prepared for waiting for one. But you should try this restaurant! :)

Puerto de Los Gigantes is a charming harbor located by the stunning cliffs of Los Gigantes. The area offers a variety of experiences, including shops, restaurants, and bars. From here, visitors can embark on boat excursions to spot dolphins and whales in their natural habitat. Additionally, the harbor serves as a starting point for whale watching tours. Paid parking is available for those arriving by car.
The port is accompanied by the huge cliffs of Los Gigantes, from which many water trips start. Just look at these buildings on the slopes of these giants - something exceptional.
Szymon S — Google review
We stayed in Los Gigantes for a few days and were clearly underwhelmed by the port and the beach. At the port, which could have been an amazing experience if you only could enjoy an unobstructed view of the cliffs, we found out that the walkway on the pier is actually permanently closed. This was one of the things we looked forward to as we had seen pictures from the pier.😏 NOT JUST TEMPORARY as the signage might make you beleive. The beach next to the port was also another disappointment as the hours are limited and the area that tourists are allowed on is roped off and very limited. It’s marked with flags in the image. As a result you are packed in as sardines if it is during the sunny hours.
Markus E — Google review
Charming port with impressive views. Nice for a full loop around the port. There are a few shops but I wish there were more dining options facing the giant cliffs. Park in the port. Easy and cheap.
X K — Google review

Superb views when you take a boat. You can expect to see dolphins and have a short swim when you take a boat trip.
Prashant H — Google review
A few eyebrows were raised when I said I was holidaying near Los Gigantes... so I was very pleasantly surprised. Such a lovely place, spotlessly clean, a few nice shops and cafe's. Took a fun boat trip to see the dolphins. People are so friendly and you must try the ice creams because they are to die for!
Angie E — Google review
The marina is fine and the cliffs are spectacular. But if you want to eat or drink your view is this, a row of parked cars. If the cars weren't allowed to park on the land side of the marina I can guarantee every bar and restaurant would be full every day. It's madness and such a shame, both for the local businesses and visitors.

This place was by far the highlight of Tenerife for us. The island is small and also packed with tourists and activities shaped for tourism. This small place has everything you could dear to dream of, silence, great food, pool with natural water from the sea and a spectacular view of Los Gigantes. They even have rooms available for rent, I'm staying there next time

Nice place to have a bit of relax. Surrendered by the waves sound crashing on the coast. Avoid windy days. Half prices arriving at 03:00 pm
Davide T — Google review
Great place with a warm, salt water pool, kiddies pool, bar and restaurant. A shame it closes before sunset (early February) as it would be the best place in Los Gigantes to see it from. Watch out for the blowhole just over the wall by the bar which obviously was an old sewage outlet and showers everybody in sea water with a nasty smell when the sea is rough.

Lovely square, with a little white church. There is a restaurant that serves tapas. We loved it! We spend the whole afternoon eating and playing games here.

Oh my... I had the best dinner on my vacation here. Amazing atmosphere, the singers are exquisite. The music 🎶 just made my night so much better. The food was so great and delicious, the dessert as well and all the employees are super kind and helpful. Extremely nice! I will come back for sure, and I highly recommend the place. My only regret is that I discovered it on my last night 🌙 here, but this must be a sign I have to come back to Tenerife 🥰😅

Review of Tipsy in Los Gigantes Tipsy truly has it all! The cocktails are creative and perfectly balanced – some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The food is top-notch, with delicious dishes clearly made with care and attention to detail. The service is excellent; the staff are welcoming and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. For tennis enthusiasts, the courts are fantastic and well-maintained, offering a great activity before enjoying everything else the place has to offer. If you visit during the holiday season, you’ll be treated to beautiful Christmas decorations that add an extra cozy and festive touch. Combined with live music and a relaxed vibe, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Highly recommended – I’ll definitely be back!

Our favourite restaurant in Tenerife ! Food alazibg and life music soooo wonderful ! And they also played my favourite song ! They made my moms birthday unforgettable ! And the service is so attentive we felt like queens . Thank you very much for the special moments ❤️❤️❤️

Beware of the scam - they advertise happy hour, however, if you want to pay they tell you it doesn't apply for the specific day (even though the advertisment says nothing about it). Apart from the scam - drinks are average - not great, but not bad either. The personal was ok - not very attentive, but came to us at the end.

A lovely, quiet place a bite to eat! I ordered the club sandwich without realising it was part of the daytime menu which hadn’t started yet but the chef very kindly made it for me anyway- and it was delicious!

This was our first visit and it won't be our last. A very nicely decorated place with both inside and outside areas to eat or have a drink. Super friendly and very welcoming servers. Good extensive menu choice of British food. Our Sunday roast was superb with roast beef, mash and roast potatoes and fresh vegetables with lots of gravy. Great family option as well with the mini golf (extra charge). Next time we will make use of the pool area (extra charge) too. There are also tennis courts as well (extra charge applies again). Great afternoon listening to a fab sax player too.

Had a lovely day here, we had brunch and spent the afternoon at the pool. Paying for a bed would maybe expect more table service, we were only offered a drink once the entire day, however going to the bar wasn’t an issue it just felt awkward in a swimsuit when people were dining. That being said we had a loveliest day, staff were all so friendly, it was very clean, the pool was a nice size and temperature. Food was delicious. No real complaints!! For tennis lovers the courts looked good!

Dolphin & Whale Watching
Embark on the Flipper Uno cruise from Los Gigantes for an unforgettable experience with dolphins and whales. The crew is entertaining, friendly, and attentive to ensure everyone has a great time. With plenty of space onboard, you can enjoy the rope swing into the sea and witness dolphins jumping next to the boat. While there's no food provided, it's a fantastic experience that includes opportunities for tipping at the end.
I had an amazing time on the Flipper Uno pirate ship. The crew were great, and three hours passed in the blink of an eye! I was a bit worried about the swim for getting in/out of the water, but there are steps and a ladder. Both are slippery, but the crew will help you as much as they can. My mates enjoyed jumping straight from the boat. Drinks are good, paella good, and we saw pilot whales 🐋 not too much silly pirate action.... but just enough 😂 🏴‍☠️ 🦜
FrankstaPasta — Google review
This is a must do. I have done this trip twice now, the first time with my mum and the most recent with my daughter. I don't think I will ever get tired going it's such a beautiful experience being out on the sea even if I didn't see any pilot whales or dolphins. I've only seen pilot whales on both occasions but still the best experience. My daughter and I did the swim which we both enjoyed a lot, she had the paella and the banana liqueur drink which she really liked. I would recommend this to everyone get some travel sickness tablets just to make your time more enjoyable we both took them an hour before and had no problems.

If you have reservations about booking, please just book it up and enjoy yourself! We booked this as a party of ten, but had two unable to make it. We had ages from 18 months up to 65. The staff on the boat are absolutely fantastic. Super helpful, really accommodating and couldn’t do enough for you. We booked the two hour trip with drinks and they were not right at all! Sangria and beers flowing constantly with plenty of choice for us non-drinkers and children. My little one was in a push chair, she was able to stay in it for the trip as due to the nature of a ship in motion she was unable to get up and walk around which is to be expected and there was plenty of space. We had 3 members of our party suffer with pretty bad sea sickness and the staff on the boat were super attentive and couldn’t have done enough for them. We were a bit reserved about booking due to the photos we have seen show the boat super busy. Our trip was in the kids holidays in October and although busy, it was totally bearable. Everyone on the boat was very accommodating and pleasant. After all everyone is there to enjoy themselves on their holidays. The swimming was fantastic, if a little busy. The rope swing was super fun, but my only point here would be that you’d have to be a pretty co rodent swimmer as there was a good bit waiting to get out and back into the boat. We did see a good number of pilot whales that was absolutely amazing to see! I always go on these things with the expectation of just a nice day out, but to see so many was utterly fantastic, the view of the volcano from the water is also amazing! If you’re considering booking, which if you are reading these reviews you clearly are, just get it booked and enjoy a memory you’ll treasure for a very long time! Thanks again for your fantastic customer service and making the whole experience so enjoyable! It’s also worth mentioning they speak very good English, German and French.

Great trip for a fair price. We took the pirate boat from los gigantes port, we received drinks and food included in the price. Indeed we saw a lot of people getting sick, disappointing. The staff was incredible friendly, we stopped near the bottom of Masca village for swimming and admiring the surroundings. We saw dolphins and whales near us. We were lucky.

Unbelievable experience! My family and I went on the Los Rápidos Dos which is one of their speedboats. What a magical and thrilling tour! Our guide, Lucas, was great fun and engaging, loved the information about the whales and the area, and he came across as excited as us. The views of the whales were unparalleled! We saw a massive group of pilot whales, almost close enough to touch, and lots of beautiful flying fish, as well as beautiful views of the island and the cliffs. I've never seen anything like it before and will be going again without hesitation if I'm back in the area. Thank you!
Joanne O — Google review
A wonderful two-hour trip! The two-hour ticket included drinks, a tour to see whales and dolphins, and finally a swim in the ocean — close to the boat, of course. It was truly an unforgettable experience. Special thanks to the crew, Diego, Mauro, Aythami, and Hector for making it so enjoyable, and also to the lovely lady who helped us choose and book the tickets — she was very kind and helpful. I almost didn’t go because I tend to get motion sickness, but I took a tablet from the pharmacy, and it worked perfectly — I’m so glad I didn’t miss this amazing experience!

We were a group of eight friends who booked a private tour with Rapido to see the whales, dolphins, and the cliffs of Los Gigantes — including a swimming stop. Our expectations were exceeded! We saw lots of dolphins, even flying fish, and the whole trip was incredibly fun and beautiful. Our guide, Luca, was fantastic — knowledgeable, entertaining, and made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

This is a great restaurant with delicious tapas. The hosts are really friendly and they are happy to talk you through all the dishes. If you're looking for a good experience in Tenerife, this is definitely the place to go!
A fantastic little traditional tapas place with a lot of heart! The team is incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is lively, and the service is impressively fast. We enjoyed every single dish—simple, authentic Spanish cuisine, but executed really well. The best way to experience it? Order the tapas-sized portions and try a bit of everything! We were absolutely delighted and would come back anytime. A reservation is highly recommended, as many guests were waiting outside for a free table.

An excellent restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and outstanding cuisine. The menu is unique for the local area, offering interesting and original dishes. The squid was incredibly juicy and tender, literally melting in the mouth — I have never eaten squid more delicious than here. We loved everything, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. We will definitely come back!

This place is an absolute gem! The octopus was perfectly tender with a smoky char that melted in the mouth—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. And the orange chicken? A masterpiece. Sweet, tangy, and crispy in all the right ways. Every bite was bursting with flavor. Can’t wait to come back!

Visited on 22 Oct 2024 **Outstanding Tapas Experience** Having lived in Los Gigantes for six years, I’ve had the privilege of visiting many restaurants in the area, but none quite match the exceptional experience at this particular establishment. Although I'm now back in the UK, I make it a point to return to this gem whenever I'm in town. The restaurant, while smaller than most, consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience. Despite its size, it's always bustling with customers—at one point, diners would even sit on the wall waiting for a table. The staff works tirelessly to accommodate everyone, often moving or adding tables along the walkway when the surrounding shops are closed, ensuring every guest is seated. When it comes to tapas, this restaurant is, without a doubt, the best on the island. The quality of the dishes is unparalleled—each tapa is thoughtfully prepared and bursting with authentic Spanish flavors. While service might take a few extra minutes, the wait is absolutely worth it. You can see the staff hustling back and forth, delivering stunning plates with impressive efficiency and always accompanied by a warm smile. The effort they put into each dish is clear, and it’s no surprise that Spanish locals, a true mark of authenticity, frequent this spot regularly. For anyone visiting Los Gigantes, I highly recommend a visit. It’s wise to book in advance, as the food tends to sell out quickly, especially later in the evening. If you find yourself unsure of where to go for a memorable tapas experience, this is *the* place. Kudos to the team at Tas-k—I look forward to my next visit.

Casa Edu is a must-visit dining spot in Tenerife, known for its mouth-watering Secreto Iberico and grilled chicken. The food is described as gourmet at affordable prices, drawing both locals and tourists. The service is top-notch, adding to the overall entertainment experience. Dishes like Garlic Mushrooms and Carne con la Piedra are highly recommended by visitors who also praise the friendly staff.
Our friends invited us to this place as we wanted to try some local canarian food. The service was excellent, attentive hosts and the food was very fresh and very tasty. The only drawback i can tell is the whole restaurant had a smell of smoking meet so all clothes later were very smelly 😅. Overall i really recommend this place if you want to try local canarian food!

Great place full of the locals. Huge potions and flavorful local food. We had milanesa (big for 2 people -with fries and 3 fried eggs.), octopus, batatas and pork, with house wine to wash it down. Definitely recommend it.

During my week long visit in Tenerife I have been to this restaurant 4 times. The people working there are incredibly kind and attentive, extremely professional, and you feel "at home" in a few minutes. An then the food: the meat is first quality, of course, and you have to try the pimientos de padron (the dish is huge and they are cooked at perfection), and the (amazing) garbanzas - which is not a vegetarian plate, as it sounds, mind you! I miss you guys! You are the best. I can't wait to come back :)

Our favorite meal of the trip. The service was on point and food was delicious. Even though the staff was busy, when we asked them questions about the food they took their time and answered us courteously. We were happy with the snacks and the meats. All prepared fresh and served promptly. Do not miss the dessert, I’ve never had polvito uruguayo before but now it is top 3 of my ultimate desserts. Since then I’ve had the same dessert at a restaurant near Benijo beach but the one at Casa Edu was much more exquisite.

This place was recommended to us by some locals in the area. The food (and wine) was phenomenal. The portions are huge, so we weren't able to try as much as we wanted to. Everything we did order was fantastic. I recommend the ropa vieja! Service was amazing as well.

Had a fantastic meal for 2 here tonight. So good that we are actually going again before the end of our holiday. Jason is a very good host and makes sure that everyone is happy- the food was sublime, the best we have had on our many trips to Tenerife- and we have had some really good meals in the past. Amazing value and all cooked from scratch. Having been a chef for many years I really do appreciate how much work this takes. I can’t praise this place enough. We had a 5 day wait before they could fit us in as the place is so popular- and now I can see why. I can’t wait to go back again, Vikki and Simon .

Food excellent, service excellent. Due to an illness I have great difficulty eating food, so to find a restaurant I felt comfortable enough to attempt eating is a bonus. However, the biggest plus for me was the Moroccan Lamb Casserole. I've lived on a pureed & a very soft diet for over a yr now & to have managed to eat a small portion of this delicious dish was second heaven. There are many tempting dishes on the menu I'd love to try. Price wise, excellent - quality food but not at the expense of your pocket. Cannot praise it enough.

Unbelievable service, food and prices. We went as a big group of 10 and the waiters were very kind and friendly. We had an absolutely great evening. Lovely place, lovely staff. This is another fabulous restaurant in Santiago del Teide. We had meat dishes and lovely starters. The food was fabulous, cooked to perfection and the staff were so friendly and kind. If we had more time, we would have gone there again, but we'll hopefully go back. Take care when ordering a glass of wine though, the glass was almost the size of my head and they fill it up to the top! Incredible value, Incredible staff. We were also given shots after dinner. The view from the property is also beautiful. Highly recommended to go and eat.

We've came as a big company of 10 people and we were very disappointed. All seafood was obviously frozen and defrosted, chicken was extremely dry and overcooked. Seafood soup and paella were made with maggi cubes. I've ordered a salmon steak and it didn't taste fresh and contained a large amount of sand in it. Price was on an expensive side, but quality was very poor. On a positive note, garlic bread was good and ladies who work there were nice. Have a nice day!

Delicious food and great service! We can recommend for starter avocado with schrimps and seafood mix for the main. Homemade tiramisu & barraquito are great too!
Dzmitry L — Google review
I was quite disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered the onion soup, which was more like a watery broth with bread soaked in it and some cheap melted sandwich cheese on top, instead of proper cheese for a French onion soup. We also had the seafood platter for two – the calamari was undercooked, and the fried calamari tasted so bad it actually made me feel sick. Definitely not the quality I expected.

Great food. Fresh and tasty. Poor service (waiting too long to Order and for bill) But the ladies were very kind. Owner not got a clue.

Nice location outside with a terrace. When we arrive a little after 8 pm, an older waiter told us that the kitchen was already closed and we could only have drinks. While we checked for other options, he came and told us that the kitchen would make an exception and that we could order food. We ordered food and drinks with another waiter. The enchiladas were ok, but a little bit more sauce for the salad would be good. My friend had a vegetarian curry as the vegan chili con carne was not available, which was a bit bland (lots of potatoes and rice). The live music was nice. Service was extremely mixed, the waitress and a younger waiter were friendly, but the older waiter seemed to be quite annoyed with us and took severely smoking breaks.

Great bar/ restaurant, we initially went to have a few drinks with a view (which is amazing) then returned a few days later and had a meal, bruschetta to start which was delicious and both had steaks for main which were cooked to perfection (highly recommended) we watched the sun set while eating our meal and listened to the live music. Highly recommended! The staff were fabulous with our little boy. The sangria is also great, we will be returning

I recently visited a restaurant that served delicious fish dishes and burgers, paired with cold beers and an amazing view of palm trees. Not only was the food excellent, but the workers were also incredibly nice, making the overall dining experience a delight. The fish dishes were especially noteworthy, with fresh and perfectly cooked fish that melted in your mouth. The menu offered a variety of fish options, including salmon, tuna, and cod, all served with sides that complemented the flavors perfectly. The burgers were also delicious, with juicy patties and fresh toppings that added the perfect crunch and texture to every bite. To top it all off, the beer selection was extensive, with a variety of local and international beers to choose from. The restaurant's atmosphere was also exceptional, with an amazing view of palm trees swaying in the breeze, creating a perfect tropical vibe. The ambiance was complemented by the friendly and attentive workers who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and satisfied. They provided excellent service, answering any questions we had and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

We paid for tandem jets ski safari , small group of 4 jet skis led by tour guide in an inflatable rig , meet and get lifejackets and safety brief at the end of los gigantos marina , lockers are available and free of charge along with changing facilities and toilets. Guide speaks english, friendly and personable takes you out of the harbour to the moreed skis . Then you set off following the massive cliffs , plenty of opportunity to open up the throttle and fly across the waves . Guide then takes you into a couple of caves . Before continuing . He takes photos. Which are then sent on a link to email. After a switch of driver we made our way back again not sparing the horse power .fantastic location, great staff made for an absolute great experience. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time on the jet ski tour with Javi as our guide. The views were stunning, and the jet skis were great for both beginners and thrill-seekers. Javi made sure we had a blast, taking us to the best spots on the water. The showers afterward were a nice touch if you fell off or got splashed. Highly recommend this tour!

We cannot recommend this excursion enough. LOADS of fun! We took the 2-hour jet ski / paddle board excursion. The entire staff was great, but we especially loved the man who did our orientation before we left. He was very funny, and the information was reassuring. My one recommendation would be to give a little more information~ that you can put some personal items such as your phone on the party boat to use after the jet ski expedition. Our friends who saw pictures from this excursion back home were super impressed. They said we looked like James Bond! Forget the impressive factor; it's just amazing to jet ski next to Los Gigantes. It's worth every penny.

Amazing experience and instructor. It was my first time on a jet ski and I am very happy. Good staff, especially Javi, really friendly and patient. I recommend everyone to visit this particular place, It's well worth the money. Also when riding JetSki, you can see amazing views of the cliffs😊🙏😍

I recently had an incredible experience with West Tenerife on their Jet Ski excursion to Las Gigantes. The tour lasted approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and took us from Las Gigantes all the way to Punta de Teno, where we had the opportunity to admire the lighthouse. Along the way, we even had the thrilling experience of speeding through some caves. The jet skis provided were also high-performance, reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h.” I highly recommend this excursion as the views were absolutely breathtaking. From the stunning cliffs of Las Gigantes to the picturesque Punta de Teno, every moment offered jaw-dropping panoramas. The staff were incredibly friendly and personable, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their knowledge and enthusiasm added a special touch to the adventure. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or simply looking to explore the beauty of Tenerife’s coast, this Jet Ski tour with West Tenerife is a must-try. The combination of adrenaline-pumping speeds, magnificent landscapes, and the warm hospitality of the staff make it an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to go back and do it all over again! Price for 2 person and 1 jet ski is 140€. Price for 1 person and 1 jet ski is 120€. Extra 20€ you can get the pictures that the guide will take to you in specific spot of the tour. Will be great if they were included in the price

Nestled in the stunning landscape of Los Gigantes, The Outside Inn is a charming spot that offers more than just breathtaking views. While the natural pool nearby attracts visitors for swimming and relaxation, it's essential to exercise caution due to its unpredictable waves. Many have enjoyed delightful meals at The Outside Inn, where friendly staff serve up hearty English breakfasts and tasty snacks like burgers and sandwiches. Guests rave about the welcoming atmosphere created by the family-run establishment, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
Excellent bar. Nice pint and a good breakfast. Run by a lovely welcoming family. We went on 4 occasions whilst holidaying in Tenerife. Unfortunately our all inclusive wasn't the best and luckily this place was just around the corner.

Me and my partner came here on Thursday (Kelly) was our server was delightful and great service and perfect food! Came today server (Dave) couple sat down same time as us did there drink order with ours, then did there food order still nothing for us after 15 mins a new couple who seemed to be his friends came did there drink orders then there food order still nothing waited another 10 minutes after there food came so total 15 mins still didn’t ask or even speak to us. Me and my partner just paid the bill and left fed up! grabbing breakfast from another place till Kelly or someone else is on. I will also do another review that really shows how good this place is. This is just for today’s service VERY poor

easily the worst place for breakfast i have visited in tenerife, the service was that bad we actually found it funny and the food was terrible. 1 person serving and cooking at the same time is never going to work. we sat down a minute or two before another family. we was served eat and asked for the bill before the other family had even ordered drinks. if you order bacon on toast you receive 1 rasher of bacon and 1 slice of toast cut in half so basically you get half a bacon sandwich. can you imagine my 16yr old sons face when he was served this ha ha. its actually expensive too compared to other places so its not even cheap and definitely not cheerful. probably a good little pub for a drink at night time. message to the owners employ a good waiter it will pay dividends the guy who serves has clearly never been showed how to address customers. No menus given just looked at us and said what do ya want! Everything about this place is how not to do things. I hate leaving reviews like this because its bad for there business but unless people speak out they probably think they are running it well.

Nice little bar serving full English breakfast and other snacks like Burgers, Chips and sandwiches. Extremely friendly staff. The Full English is €6.50 and more than enough for anyone, the basic breakfast is €4.50, I would say it's one of if not the best English breakfast in Los Gigantes.

What can I say, we went there just because was the only thing open at the time of arrival. We order a latte and they brought us a big mug of coffee with a small milk jug for three people. Some of my friends don't speak English and they didn't even try to say thank you in Spanish. The food was tasteless we order some sandwiches and it was really dry. Plus you couldn't find anywhere a sign where they say they don't accept cards... The waiter didn't even mention it for sure. We came from another country and we didn't even have time to change euros. This is weird especially being in a tourist place. I'm sure they do that to hide money from the government.

If you're looking for an authentic dining experience in Los Gigantes, look no further than Taberna Santa Maria. This charming tapas bar is a beloved spot among locals, offering a warm and familial atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Just steps away from the stunning Playa de los Guios and facing the picturesque Puerto de Los Gigantes, it's the perfect place to enjoy traditional Spanish cuisine.
We discovered this place last year- and also this year we were not disappointed!!! Fantastic, traditional Spanish cuisine! Delicious prawns with garlic, traditional prawns and octopus vinegar salad, white wine and delicious crema Catalana served frozen!! Moreover the service was excellent. I bet that those who complain about “small” portions are spaghetti-bolognese-everywhere type of tourists 🤪 taberna Santa Maria- you are doing it great! 👍🏻

Great place to stop for a quick lunch! We got served quickly and the view of Los Gigantes is just incredible! The restaurant has amazing interior, feels like an old English pub. The food was good, and fairly priced. Overall highly recommended if you want a good view with good food.

The food was average, and unfortunately, the staff didn’t speak a word of English, which made communication difficult. We chose this restaurant because it’s located by the harbor and we were waiting for a boat. If possible, I would recommend looking for another restaurant nearby.

We were there just for coffee, as it was closed when we finished our cruise and we couldn't try the food. But the coffee was great. One of the few places on tenerife that had coffee I didn't hate. It's not drip or anything but it tastes good.

Third Element Charters offers an intimate sailing experience for up to 8 people, with 3-hour tours at 10 am and 1 pm. Unlike other companies, they prioritize sailing over using the engine when conditions allow. The package includes snacks, drinks, and snorkeling gear. Guests have praised the knowledgeable and passionate crew who provided insights about the environment and marine life. The tour provides opportunities to spot pilot whales and dolphins while also offering time for swimming or snorkeling.
Wonderful experience - extremely friendly and welcoming team, very knowledgeable and overall lovely. It was great to see how much respect the team have for marine life and how much passion is put into their work. Truly can’t recommend enough. We had a wonderful time! ❤️

Our best time spent in Tenerife was with Third Element. My wife and I had a wonderful time at sea. Jamie and Eileen really went above and beyond to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. We were able to see Pilot Whales and got to snorkel a bit. Food and drinks were an added bonus. Highly recommend Third Element. We will be booking again next time in Tenerife.

We had a truly wonderful time on the boat with the Third Element Crew. The crew was extremely friendly, and we were able to communicate comfortably in German with Aylin, which made everything easy to understand. Her teammate’s English was also very clear and easy to follow. We chose the 9:45 a.m. tour, and during our trip the sea was very calm and the weather was perfect. After a short while, we stopped at several spots where pilot whales were resting. A few of them were already awake, moving peacefully at a slow pace. Next, we headed to the reef for some snorkeling. During our time on board, there was a great selection of drinks available, and we were also served a delicious sandwich. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and can warmly recommend the Third Element Crew to anyone looking for a relaxed and memorable trip.

Dear Eileen, dear David! This was an amazing experience! We enjoyed every minute of the 3 hour trip to see the pilot whales. Your warm welcome and the relaxed atmosphere on board made us feel very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your expertise (in Spanish, English, German, ... simultaneously ;o)), your passion for the whales and the respectful interaction with nature. With max 10 guests on the boat it is enough space for everyone - in the sunbeds or in the shadow of the sunroof - not comparable to other trips where you are packed like sardines. Eileens kind service, beverages, fruits & sandwiches included. The jump into the sea in front of the magificent rocks of Los Gigantes was a refreshing addition at the end of the tour. Thanks again and all the best for your future adventures - pls keep us posted ... Stefan

On 4. November 2025 we had an unforgetable boat trip with the crew of Third elements. It was a advisable exspirience lasting 3 hours in front of Los Gigantes. With a small tour group we had a very informative excursion on a very well-maintained boat, the crew looked after us very well and was very pleasant to communicate with. We can only recommend Third Elements without any restrictions

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful sunny morning on board with the team of Third Element – up close with pilot whales, snorkeling off Los Gigantes, super-delicious sandwiches, and an early glass of wine. You can tell how passionate the team is about their work, without ever disturbing the whales. They offer them enough space and prefer to wait for the animals to become curious and to approach us on their own. The boat is very modern, absolutely clean, and everyone is just friendly and cheerful. Special thanks to the lovely Eileen, who provided us with lots of little stories and background information. We happily followed some of her culinary advice for Tenerife^^ I can highly recommend Third Element Charters for an all-round satisfying whale watching experience – especially if you’re looking for an experience that centres around the welfare of the animals.
Daniel H — Google review
The boat tour with Third Element was fantastic. The boat was great and had enough space for all the guests. We set off from Los Gigantes and soon spotted a family of whales. We approached them and were quite close, but care was taken not to disturb the animals. We had enough time to observe them before heading back to the cliffs for a stop to swim and snorkel. Afterwards, we had delicious sandwiches for lunch on the boat. Drinks were served throughout the tour so we could easily stay hydrated. The team was great. They provided excellent explanations about the animals and the marine life off Tenerife – and were in a great mood. I highly recommend the tour.
Christoph B — Google review
I definitely recommend this trip, even though it is a bit more expensive than the others offered, it is really worth all the money. The boat is luxurious, covered roof, fun crew. We spent 3 hours on the boat, saw dolphins, snorkeled, and had snacks. All this with sensitivity to nature, no pursuit of sensation.

The calm and pleasant water temperature makes it the perfect spot for kayaking or stand-up paddling. Customers appreciate the convenience of lockers and waterproof bags provided to keep their belongings safe while enjoying the water activities.
Superb service. Our first time too! The guy supplied us life jackets, dry bag and paddle included in the hire cost which is very reasonable.he gve us lots of good advice on kayaking and within 15 minutes we were in the sea. Loved every minute. Id suggest you go for the 2 hour for the extra 10 euros as 1 hour soon ticks by once your on the sea and get out there. If your unsure (like we were) I'd say force yourself and go for it!!! It's very safe and i promise you'll love it. The double kayak was very stable on the water.. We didn't capsize either! 🤣 Thanks guys. Made our holiday that much more special 👍🏻
Ian W — Google review
This was very bad experience in renting the SUP. The guy there was extremely rude and didn’t really care much about the customers. He seemed irritated by us and everything was simply off. I wanted to rent a SUP for my kid to sit on it while I paddle, which I told him. In response I got angry threatening comment that it will be taken away if I do that. I appreciated the rules and and agreed to get two of them. However, when the time came for me to pay, he had no change and tried to make me run to the nearby shop and get the change myself. I fing this completely unacceptable in such service industry and if there is no change present, this shouldn’t be my problem. Anyways, you decide whether you want to use this place. I am pretty disappointed by this experience as the beach with the view was stunning. In reality I was turned away with the attitude I haven’t seen in ages all around the world.
Anastasia Z — Google review
Great rental price, I did two hours SUP for 15euros! I also got to borrow a life jacket and a waterproof bag for my phone which was really useful, my phone is waterproof but it was nice to have it around my neck so it was easy to get hold of when I wanted to take a photo and also for the security if I fell in so it didn't sink haha. I've only done SUP for an hour before (on a canal) so I was a bit apprehensive about going out on the ocean by myself. The lovely girl in the shop gave me a 5min brief of all the basics which was a handy refresher. It's really not something you need much experience of, I'm sure my technique wasn't the best but I still managed to stay on the board for the whole 2hrs without falling off 😊 it was a lot of fun in the sea and I had my music to accompany me as I paddled past the cliffs of Los Gigantes and the sea is so clear you can see right down to the sea bed. Really great fun and I can't wait to go back again! Lovely friendly staff and very helpful. You should really try this, it's such a great price it would be rude not to!

Very nice experince renting a double kayak for 2 hours. Getting a bit closer to Los Gigantes was a great viewing experience which you don't get from land. From the Kayak their massive size is astounding.
Martin C — Google review
This was my worst experience kayaking and I kayak quite often. I asked multiple times if the conditions were safe before going out to the sea and they told me the conditions were perfect. Well, the reality was quite different… the waves and wind were crazy, I wasn’t even able to reach my destination, I had to return early (no refund). I highly recommend checking the conditions by yourself, don’t rely only on people working there.
Sára K — Google review
Mixed feelings about this place. The service was a bit off. There wasn't a warm welcome and no explanation/introduction or anything. Just really formal. It's good to know that you've to carry the kayak by yourself with a stroller to the see and also back. Not really a problem for us, but no explanation about how to use it or whatever. The equipment was fine and there was a waterproof bag and we could leave our stuff at a locker, that was nice.
Elvira R — Google review
They told us that the sea was calm and conditions for kayaking were great when they clearly weren’t after going out into the sea. This was definitely the most dangerous kayaking trip we experienced (and we kayak often). No warning was given. If you are a beginner don’t expect an explanation on how to use the equipement and check the weather by yourself.

Tenerife is home to several stunning natural swimming pools that are perfect for a refreshing dip and some Instagram-worthy photos. One of these pools offers crystal-clear seawater, ideal for swimming and snorkeling with an abundance of marine life. Another pool provides a serene setting for a leisurely swim, although it may be closed during windy conditions. While not considered the best in the area, this natural pool still offers a pleasant atmosphere and is suitable for families.
I loved it, we came back a few times. It had tape around it like it's prohibited to cross it and use it but we've seen others so we went anyway. It has lots of crabs and some bright blue/black fish. The view is also amazing. The rocks are very sharp so be very careful. We swam comfortably in the pool, and there are stairs to climb to the rock across.

A gorgeous natural seawater "pool". It's perfect for swimming and snorkeling; there are lots of anemones, fish and crabs. It's pretty shallow and slippery near the larger staircase near the showers, if you walk towards the ocean (facing Los Gigantes) there's a metal ladder that will take you to the deeper part and you won't have to scrape your shins (you're welcome). You can access this pool from the ocean front foot path that runs between La Arena and Alcala. You can park along street and walk to the trail, we parked on TF-47 where there were other cars and walked on a dirt construction driveway to the path.
Sarah W — Google review
If we don't consider the weather, we really enjoyed this area of the island as it offers different choices, from sandy little beaches, to rocks to the very nice natural pools! The area is right in front of a big resort but everybody is welcome (it's not private). You can find also some facilities, like a cafe and snack bar, beach chairs and umbrella.
Vins P — Google review

Picarus Sailing Club in Tenerife, located in the stunning Los Gigantes area, offers unforgettable boat trips for whale and dolphin watching. The passionate crew provides a friendly and informative experience, ensuring that guests have an amazing time. With the opportunity to see pilot whales and dolphins up close, as well as enjoying breathtaking views of Masca beach and cliffs, this unique excursion also includes the chance to savor homemade tapas while anchored near the port.
We loved the tour! Jacob and Michael did everything to make us feel comfortable. I really appreciate the sustainable approach to whale watching: no working engines around mammals, and all the team on board was super quiet when watching pilot whales (we were lucky with other clients on board — they were very respectful). Apart from the great luck with seeing many pilot whales, we really loved the comfort of the sailboat (having a WC is a huge plus!), the small group on board (I suppose it’s limited to 9 passengers), the snacks, the stop for swimming and that everything was super punctual. I would definitely recommend these guys for a great whale watching sailboat tour. 5 stars!

Did a group trip with Jakob and Misa. The guys did a great job! Got to see huge schools of spotted dolphins and pilot whales. Was awesome; a real highlight for me and my family. The snorkeling and tapas were great as well.

Excellent trip with Jacob and Marina. We have seen flying fish, big turtle and a family of pilot whales with a baby. Very eco friendly and a lot of interesting information from the crew. The snorkeling among Los Gigantes and tapas and drink after that were the perfect ending of a lovely experience. Both me and my teenagers (14 and 15) enjoyed it very much.
Tereza K — Google review
We were a family of 4 (11 and 14 year old girls). I was a bit nervous as we had done a similar trip in fuerteventura a couple of years ago, my youngest got bored and we were part of a giant flotilla of boats looking for whales in the ocean. That trip felt quite stressful as we would hear some one has spotted something and we would all dash to a new location. This trip had a completely different feel. We were 1 of 3 boats in the area and all of us stayed quite a distance from each other. We used a combination of sail and motor but didn’t have to go far before we saw our first pilots whales, we didn’t chase them or stay long before we moved off and saw another group, this group decided to come right up to the boat whilst we were still in the water. We then travelled to the coast for swimming and food. The crew were great, friendly and informative, providing information about the nature and the coast line. The trip was surprisingly relaxing and has been the highlight of my holiday (the water park is still the kids highlight but this came in a close second place). The only improvement I would suggest is if we could stop for swimming somewhere a bit better for snorkeling.
Amanda L — Google review
We enjoyed an unforgettable and truly magnificent day with Jakob and Pablo (10am-1pm). The sea was calm and beautiful, with a clear view of the volcano El Teide. The team was very attentive, friendly, and highly knowledgeable about the cetaceans we encountered, in our case, pilot whales, and they also shared fascinating insights about Los Gigantes. We deeply appreciated their openness and passion. The sailboat itself is spacious and well equipped (including a toilet), and with just six people (clients) on board, the experience felt wonderfully personal and relaxed. The swimming stop at Playa de Masca was stunning, and we even had the chance to snorkel among a variety of fish along the coastline. To top it all off, the fresh tapas they served were beautifully presented and simply delicious. I can only highly recommend taking a sailing trip with them to discover the breathtaking marine life of Tenerife, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

My wife and I had the best time on board of Aemon. Big thanks to Jacob and Misael who did an excellent job with showing us magnificent ocean creatures (we saw lots of dolphins, pilot whales and even a turtle), also giving us an opportunity to swim in amazing deep waters and ending the day with a tasty brunch on board. They perfectly speak English and German, so the communication was also no problem 👍🏻 This tour was a highlight of our Tenerife vacation! 1000x recommend it!

Really homey hostel in a traditional Tenerife house, it is small but the staff keeps it really clean, the Cuban manger Alejandro is so friendly and helpful giving you all the information he could, and make sure everyone has their needs! The hostel is near to the beach and supermarket, the people staying here are mostly good vibes, I had a great time here! I stay in 4 person female room with a window.
Chunching S — Google review
Really nice people there and general good facilities according to hostel standard. However I have stayed in many hostels and to put 10 people in a small room is simply to many. To much noise and smell especially when there are no windows. Or there are, but they can’t open since a bed is blocking them. This is not a cheap hostel so 6 in the room would have been reasonable. Bathrooms and kitchen where nice and clean. Upstairs bathroom really great actually.
Morten B — Google review
If you want to see mass tourism in action, then stay with this hostel chain. Everything is streamlined for maximum profit. The place is littered with rule signs giving you "directions" for everything. Right before you arrive, you will get spammed with emails forcing you to do some unneccessary online check-in even though you already provided all necessary information with the booking. Another email arrived after we did the checkout, again reminding us to do the online check-in ... incredible! Yeah, I don't need a check-in for you to provide me with the door code, wifi and bed number ... just send it to my contact I already gave to you! It's not that complicated, all other accommodations seem to be able to do it this way! Compared to 3 years ago, this place is just a lifeless skeleton of its former self ... no fun, weird people, and pretty run down. Before, they had breakfast included, now they claim they cannot do it any more due to regulation ... the price has still increased considerably. For our double room the balcony door couldn't be locked. The doors were loud especially with people that don't know how to close them quiet properly. The bed is super shaky — no good night sleep if you have an active bed neighbour.
Thorsten B — Google review
Overall a disappointing stay. You have to make a lot of compromises. Eventhough the price is much higher than other Nest hostels you get much less. The main guy who is “working” at the reception also makes the beds and “cleans” the floor once a day. One time i wanted to go to the bathroom and noticed the floor was wet, so i wanted to return but that guy who is very very hyperactive and childish screams at me for “wanting to pass”. He is anything but professional. Since that he gave me the feeling of having a personal problem with me. Last day, I stayed in the common area a bit longer than my checkout time because i was waiting for a friend who had already tour and he asks me rudely and annoyed when to leave (left the dorm already). He made me feel very uncomfortable during the stay as if i’m staying in his personal house. Also forget about working remotely here, the guy plays extra loud music and doesn’t give a f. The rooms.. If you want to relate how a refugee feels, come here. A very small room for 10 ppl, you can’t use the “locker” without disturbing other roommates (spare room anyway) + no air conditioning and very stinky. In some hostels I go to my dorm to relax but here that isn’t possible, you get overwhelmed from the humidity and smell. In general there were only weird people here. 30+y old lost and bad mannered men. In Puerto Nest for example the vibe was very different and much much more welcoming. Good thing is there is a Suma market very close.

Super friendly staff. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Really good breakfast with lots of variety. I really liked the homemade bread and cake. They also have some vegan options like a really good hummus. The location is perfect. You can enjoy the beach and also visit the town. I enjoyed my stay.

A small hostel with a very friendly vibe and super clean. The staff are super friendly, ready for any question at any time of the day and sets the mood of the hostel right. It is very well located in the quieter part of the island, close to the beach, supermarket. Highly recommended

Historical landmark
Los Gigantes is a stunning destination known for its incredibly beautiful sunsets and spectacular scenery. The area offers breathtaking views and is a perfect spot to witness the natural beauty of the surroundings. Whether you're looking to relax or capture some amazing photographs, Los Gigantes provides an unforgettable experience for visitors.
Los Gigantes is a wonderful town. It is full of very good small restaurants and cafes. Its beach is traditional, black sand and clean. There are many opportunities to cruise.
Flóra H — Google review
Los Gigantes is an impressive spot on Tenerife’s west coast. The cliffs are truly breathtaking, rising straight out of the sea and dominating the whole view. From the marina you really feel their scale, and it makes the town quite unique compared to other resorts. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The little harbor is lined with restaurants and cafés, and there’s a small black-sand beach right next to it, though it can feel a bit tight when busy. Taking a boat trip was the highlight—being out on the water made the cliffs look even more dramatic, and I even saw dolphins nearby. Watching the sunset with the cliffs glowing and La Gomera in the distance was unforgettable. Overall, Los Gigantes is a beautiful and relaxed place, worth visiting if you want scenery as impressive as anywhere on the island.
Przemyslaw K — Google review

The area features unique natural pools formed within lava rocks, creating a picturesque setting with black rocks of distinctive shapes. Visitors can admire the mesmerizing view and explore the surrounding areas such as Charco La Vaca and Playa Arena.
The best place to swim we have been in Tenerife. The views are amazing. The fruit shops are near I strongly recommend you to go there. After you go down the stairs of this place there is a small naturally formed pool where you can swim.

Very beautiful place. Too bad there was quite a bit of trash laying around. I spent some time picking it up. Hopefully the locals can form a team to clean it up a bit. We have the same issue here in Florida. Tourist come and leave their trash on our beaches. The beaches are still beautiful but not like they could be if everyone took care of them.

Lovely spacious and well equipped apartment, great terrace & good size pool with plenty of sunbeds. High up so need to be fairly fit & as long as don't mind the half finished building next door is a good location.

Spacious and luxious, greay balcony. Unfortunatly not wel managed. Toilet did not flush, no stabil hot water, balcony door could not be locked. Neighbour building is half buid in which tramps are living. Smoking is allowed so unhospitall for the non smokers. Our room was smelling awfull. Therefore only 2*. Location is 10 min walk to shops, great pizzaria next door.

Nice clean and well run apartments, with a pool on the roof. It’s a bit further away from the centre of things, so quite quiet and you’ll have to walk, take a car or get a taxi to get to restaurants and shops.

Catholic church
Nestled in the charming town of Los Gigantes, the Parroquia del Espíritu Santo is a delightful little church that exudes a unique charm. While it may not boast elaborate decorations, its understated beauty captivates visitors. A spacious square with steps leading up from the main road enhances its appeal, making it an inviting spot to pause and reflect. Inside, you'll find a surprisingly luminous atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the twilight outside; many have noted how their photographs capture this enchanting light perfectly.
If you're looking for hours of holly mass, as I did, here is the photo with it. I hope that it'll be helpful. The church is small but beautiful.

Hiking area
Hiking trail PR-TF 65 in Gran Canaria offers a diverse and picturesque experience for hikers of all levels. The island's mountainous terrain and protected landscapes make it an ideal destination for hiking enthusiasts. At 1949 meters above sea level, Pico de las Nieves provides stunning panoramic views. The trail from Los Gigantes to Santiago del Tiede features a steady 900m ascent, passing through banana plantations with minor difficulties along the gravel and stone path.
A well-marked trail that I followed to the top of Montana Guama. Starting off alongside banana plantations before making its way up into the mountains. Lots of water and good shoes recommended. Follow the yellow and white markers along the trail.
Adrian C — Google review
We went the uphill route from Los Gigantes to Santiago del Tiede. Starts as tarmac road but soon changes into uneven gravel / stone trail passing the banana plantations. Steady 900m ascent with track posing minor difficulties in places. Great views back to the sea and near the top there are views of Mount Tiede. The last section between El Modello and Santiago del Tide is closed due to construction work but detour along minor is straightforward. Steep section approaching El Modeĺlo and cooler at the top of the route. Be prepared and carry plenty water. Wear strong footwear.
Steve R — Google review
Amazing trail with fantastic views. The parts next to the cliffs is quite sketchy though, so bring good hiking shoes. I highly recommend hiking the trail clockwise and bringing a headlamp for the tunnel.
Wubbe — Google review
The Google Maps entry says this trail is closed but there was no signage to indicate that at the trail itself. Trail is well maintained and clearly marked. There are a few steep uphill sections but overall, it's an easy trail that takes you between Puerto de Santiago and Santiago del Teide in the mountains. If you start at the Puerto de Santiago (beach) end, it will be mostly uphill. You'll also pass by many banana plantations. It's an uncrowded and beautiful trail with historical roots as the Camino Real, an important trade route between the towns.
