Mirador Archipenque is a must-visit spot for breathtaking views of the Los Gigantes cliffs in Tenerife. Situated on the TF-454 road, it offers unobstructed vistas of the cliffs, the westernmost point of the island, and neighboring islands like La Palma and La Gomera. The viewpoint features a small platform where visitors can admire the ocean and purchase souvenirs or enjoy a cup of coffee.
Splendid place to have a wonderful panorama over the ocean and the Los Gigantes. The sunset moment is the pick of the day.
Cristian G — Google review
I give this 3 stars only because although there is a view, there are other much better view points, and I didn't feel like I missed anything. What is nice is that there is a cafe next to it where you can grab a bite and there are souvenirs too. Parking is available on the side of the road, so it's not too bad if you'd like to stop here. No ticket needed - free to park and view!
Babita S — Google review
Nice viewpoint, but with a name like Los Gigantes, I expected something a bit more… gigante. The view is pretty, sure, just didn’t knock my socks off. I also hoped to grab a coffee with a view, but the only place there felt more like a souvenir spot than a café. Not bad, just didn’t quite hit the mark.
Richard F — Google review
Great spot to watch the sunset and the Los Gigantes cliffs. There are a few parking spots, a cafe and a small watchtower as well.
JilTheReal — Google review
Nice view on Los Gigantes and nice little Café/Restaurant. The coffee and the pastries were excellent and the staff very friendly

A stunning viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of towering cliffs and the vast ocean. A must-visit when exploring Tenerife — the perfect way to begin your journey around the island.

Boat tour agency

Dolphin & Whale Watching
Nashira Uno is a popular boat tour company located in Los Gigantes. Visitors can enjoy a Whale & Dolphin trip on the Nashira Uno, which offers amazing views of marine life and stunning landscapes. The staff on board are known for their exceptional service, especially in accommodating guests with mobility issues. The boat trip includes delicious food such as chicken, Spanish rice, and crusty rolls. Guests also have the opportunity to swim in the sea at a beautiful spot during the tour.
A great 3 hour boat trip. Crew were friendly and informative. We saw a sea turtle, pilot whales and flying fish. The stop to swim was great and lunch provided was very good. The cliffs close up were amazing to see. I booked the trip through a lovely Ukrainian girl in the canarias.com office in Puerto de Santiago and she said it was a great trip and she was 100% correct.
Alick C — Google review
They brought us to a family of pilot whales, which was awesome to see! This was the only thing they did well. - they didn’t give any information about the whales or about anything else - we then went to a swimming spot, which was fine but nothing special. Quite some fish to see but we weren’t allowed to go more than a few meters from the boat to go to nicer spots. Instead they brought the fish to us by feeding them. Anyone knows you shouldn’t feed wildlife, but they don’t care. Would’ve been nicer to go to an actually nice snorkel location or spend more time with another pod of whales/dolphin -on the way back they blasted loud music The scenery and whales are beautiful, but I’ll not rate them based on that, because all they did was drive the boat.
Jip — Google review
We had a great time on the 3 hour boat trip. The crew were helpful and informative, not just about the whales/dolphins but the local area also. The spot we stopped to swim was beautiful and lunch was served straight after (veggie option slightly lacking but was fine). Would highly recommend if you’re nearby!
Clara S — Google review
We had a fantastic whale watching excursion with Gladiator U! 🐋 The crew was very friendly, the boat comfortable, and everything was perfectly organized. We spotted several whales up close, which was an unforgettable experience for me and my kids (12 and 14). A great family activity and highly recommended when visiting Tenerife.
Wouter Z — Google review
Really fun day out with the family. Saw many pilot whales, ate some nice food and swam in the beautiful waters.
Simon R — Google review
The trip was really nice, we would have loved to spend more time watching the whales, even if we let the group we stayed with to not bother them, we would have love to look for another animals, but it was still really nice
François V — Google review
Great trip. Crew friendly and informative, saw pilot whales, dolphin and turtle. Great swim in bay and food good. All in all excellent value and great way to see wildlife and cliffs. So glad we chose this rather than the overpriced option direct with tour operator.
Chris I — Google review
Went out on the 3 hour Whale and Dolphin cruise. Saw lots of both Pilot whales and Bottlenose Dolphins. The Dolphins played with the waves surfing in front of boat. We were given information about what we were seeing. Not too crowded. Had a nice lunch and drinks on board. Stopped for a swim at Masca Bay. A lovely trip! I thought cost was good value.

Observation deck
Mirador de Cherfe offers a sensational viewpoint, with stunning vistas of the Teide volcano to the east and La Gomera to the west. The area can get crowded, especially with cars, so sturdy footwear is recommended for exploring further along the ridge. The top can be windy and cooler than at sea level. Despite potential road stress, reaching this beautiful spot is worth it for unforgettable views and a preview of the amazing Masca valley landscape.
Amazing spot with incredible views around, the scenery is definitely breathtaking. Started early in the morning to skip some crowds and is also better for the parking as these viewpoints have limited parking availability and it can get full very fast especially later in the day. The day started with sun and on the way back it was cloudy so we got to admire the scenery twice. The winding road offers incredible views as well and is definitely worth it to rent a car and go everywhere around the island and enjoy the great landscapes!! The roads can get pretty steep and narrow at times so always drive carefully and don't overspeed as you could easily provoke an accident and totally ruin your trip. The quality of the roads is very good, many of them are recently done so take your time and enjoy the whole experience
Nadia M — Google review
If you see a parking spot while driving through it’s worth to stop by. This place offer beatiful views on all sides.
Michal T — Google review
Coming from Santiago del Teide, this is the first and highest viewpoint on the way to Masca. On one side, Teide, and on the other, La Gomera if visibility permits, and part of the further serpentine road. A great place to stop and think, contemplate. Sometimes you can find street food and mobile trade here.
Szymon S — Google review
Beautiful relaxing views. Can be stressful to get there but it gets even better as this is a small preview of what's to come a bit further down in Masca. 👌🏻
Google review
I was driving back after watching the sunset, and this place still looked amazing!
Ajay L — Google review
Usually it is a bit fuller here but gives you the first taste of the amazing vistas of the Masca valley. The views are already stunning and you can spot La Gomera too.
Thomas T — Google review
Absolutely stunning views anywhere you look. Mascas is also a beautiful intimate village that you can enjoy a lunch at while looking at stunning vistas. Watch out for the roads and oncoming vehicles if you choose to drive yourself.
Virginia S — Google review
A great viewpoint from the top of the mountain, its worth it to stop here for a few minutes.

The canoe and kayak tour agency, Gigant Center, provides a remarkable oceanic adventure. Their staff, led by Juan Carlos, offers exceptional service and the kayaking experience is truly enjoyable. The views are breathtaking and customers have the option to repeat the experience if desired. The agency also provides a voucher system for easy access to their services. Prior to embarking on the tour, customers are given a life vest which can be obtained 30 minutes before departure time.
Got a Voucher for Kajak at 11:00. Do you get 30 min early to get live vest and then Go to chicka Beach… the Equipment was good. English is spoken…

This company leaves flyers laying around all over town, many of which blow away into the landscape and sea. People come here for the natural beauty and companies like this show little respect for it.
Kane — Google review
Fantastic experience in the ocean! Juan Carlos offers a really nice treatment and the Kayak was so much fun to sail on. Amazing views by the way. We are repeating tomorrow! Thanks Juan Carlos, it was a pleasure!
Sam S — Google review
We had a good experience, incredible views but you do need to be confident in water to enjoy!
Sarah J — Google review
(Translated by Google) Everything great, an experience to repeat. My partner and my son were there and we had a different and fun afternoon. The cliffs of Los Gigantes deserve to be seen from this perspective. It is not about a competition, but about going calmly and enjoying the wonderfulness of the place. We were able to reach a nearby beach, just below the cliffs, where 3 sailboats were anchored. A feeling of freedom and tranquility that very few activities offer you. Juan Carlos, the owner of the company is very kind, and very human. He gave us a small course before taking the kayaks, which was very worthwhile. The activity was delayed a little, but for logical reasons due to previous clients. But that half hour was added, so great because it made it possible for us to end up seeing a spectacular sunset. We will repeat for sure!! Thanks for everything. 100% recommended PS: Looking at the comments, I find it curious that on the same day and same time as Charo Arévalo, she had a bad experience. I don't share anything she thinks, and I sincerely believe that from the beginning what this girl is looking for is tension and conflict. It is obvious that water is charged, the delay was for logistical reasons, but it was not a problem but a benefit. It is not true that they have not given directions to the beach, since with the name provided by Juan Carlos, plus Google Maps, there is no problem getting there. And finally, it is curious that knowing so much about paddle surfing, and she saying in front of everyone that she is an instructor of that discipline, does not know how to maintain manners in the face of the previous explanations that Juan Carlos told us. If you are a professional in the union, you should be more empathetic and not offend and create such a bad atmosphere in front of other clients. In my opinion, if you have problems it is more appropriate to talk about them privately and above all from a constructive point of view, since in this way you can add quality value to the services of this company and not wanting to be so destructive. That afternoon we felt very uncomfortable with this girl's attitude.

(Translated by Google) Straight to the point: 1. You have to unload the kayaks yourself and carry them to the beach (200m). 2. We set out in rough seas with waves that made the experience difficult and unappealing. 3. The experience tells you it involves snorkeling, but we only had 10 minutes between the outbound and return trips to swim in a cove that smelled of boat fuel and trash. Out of 11 kayaks, no one took a dip… 4. During the entire experience, you're left to fend for yourself; the accompanying boat traveled out as far as 700m (and if you're going alone and in the open sea…), so the feeling of insecurity is incredible… In short, a bad experience overall. It's better to find another center… Mejor buscar otro centro….

The Chinyero visitors center in Tenerife is an incredible attraction that offers free entry to all visitors. It is a fantastic place to learn about volcanoes and their impact on the geography of Tenerife. The center features a modern multimedia setup and is guided by Helena, a knowledgeable and humorous guide who speaks English, German, and Spanish. Helena provides interesting facts and answers any questions you may have.
I recommend it to everyone wanting to know more about not only Chinyero but also about how the volcanos have affected the geography of Tenerife. It's FREE, which is really amazing. Helena will guide you and answer all your questions. Was an unexpected great surprise. Well done!

One of the coolest attractions in Tenerife and it's free 😍 Anyone can visit without worrying about costs. Very well presented and free to visit. The guide at the exhibit, Carlos, made the experience come alive! Highly recommended but you definitely need the enthusiastic and scientifically accurate guided tour! Excellent attraction in a beautiful town.

What a fascinating visit! We called into the centre to learn a bit about the area, and what a lot we learned form a guide who was obviously passionate about his work. We learned about the various volcanoes in the region (yes, there are LOADS of them), about the make up of the terrain, and of the people who lived there during the volcanic eruptions in the past. It's a 100% FREE visit, and absolutely NOT to be missed. We loved every moment!

Degollada del Roque offers a short but challenging hike with about 300 meters of overall ascent. The rocky old caminos provide a fair bit of up and down, but the stunning scenic value makes it worthwhile. The route starts from El Modello and can be extended by passing through Los Quemados before reaching Degollada d'El Roque.

The landscapes are superb, you have to bring water. At the start we were in the shade so a little wool but fit it was very warm. The final climb is tiring. (Translated by Google) The path to Barancco Seco is closed from February to August due to bird breeding seasons. The upper path that leads towards El bujero: ... is very impressive, especially the view of the valley. But the path is also adventurous and can be classified as T2+ in terms of level and up to T3+ in some areas, so it's not without it. At the end it is important to follow the red arrow and turn left up, otherwise you will end up on a short T4-T5 path which, after some climbing on the slope, leads to nowhere. So be careful! Mirador de los Poleos offers a stunning view of the Chinyero volcano lava flows, showcasing the aftermath of the 1909 eruption. It's a popular stop near the Chinyero Volcano Loop trailhead and provides an excellent vantage point to witness the destruction caused by the volcanic vent. Visitors can also enjoy breathtaking sunsets and stargazing, with views extending to neighboring Canary Islands and even, on clear days, glimpses of the Sahara.

Nice place to catch the top of Mount Teide light up as the sun sets, and a nice backdrop looking down the mountain.
Colin W — Google review
We had a great trip, where we drove buggies to the top of here and around the volcanoes. Best place to watch the sunset and then to see the stars you can also see Mars! During the day you can also see the other islands of the canaries and on a very clear day at the highest point you can see the Sahara. The mountain is also not a mountain it's made up of craters from volcanoes and it's full of caves.
Jac D — Google review
This is a nice place for a sunset but stay off the platform because it is also a popular tour bus attraction. Better to walk around the big rocks to the left and down onto the lava a little bit to have your own private viewing. Parking gets a little crazy during peak sunset time but nobody cares.

(Translated by Google) Attention!!! There is a thief in this parking lot and the neighboring ones. Today I parked and a silver Renault pulled up next to me. The driver in Spanish showed me to go 50 meters further, where there was an information board and a beautiful view. I went. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that this guy, around 50 years old, opened my car door and started rummaging through my backpack. I immediately ran over. The guy closed the door and opened his car. He shows that he only has a bottle of water and a banana in his hand. I checked that nothing was missing in my backpack yet. Because there was practically nothing there. Just a towel and swimming trunks. I said in English that I was going to report to the police. The guy didn't allow himself to be photographed, covered his face and quickly drove away. The license plate on the back was covered with black tape. He went upstairs and came back a moment later. Then I saw the board in front and behind. She was already clean. The registration number of this car is: 8143 FPP. The photo shows part of the face and part of the car number. After a while, while driving to Santiago, I stopped at a Civil Guard patrol... I was told that it was banned and they were not interested in my report. They sent me to the police station, which, of course, was closed. No report, no fact. You don't need to do anything... And only beautiful views. (Original) Uwaga!!! Facet zamknął drzwi i otworzył swoje auto. Wtedy zobaczyłem tablicę z przodu i z tyłu.
