Shopping mall
Shopping
Bowie Town Center is an open-air complex that exudes a sophisticated yet charming atmosphere, boasting a diverse array of over 70 renowned shops and eateries. This outdoor shopping destination offers a comprehensive range of retail stores, dining options, and grocery outlets, making it an all-in-one hub for leisure and convenience. From household essentials to trendy fashion finds, this mall caters to every shopper's needs with its vast selection.
This outdoor mall is great, they have the last big book store with a Starbucks. They have a great variety of shops. The area surrounding the main strip has plenty of places to eat, and a covered bridge above the busy street to the movie theater. DO NOT TRY TO PARK OUT FRONT! It's not that hard to find a different spot right behind the stores.
Vicky R — Google review
The Town Center is clean, well lit, and you don't have a feeling of unease when you walk around. There are some excellent restaurants and shops. The anchor store Sears has long since left has been replaced by a furniture store which I don't anticipate will last very long. There was a Best Buy nearby, but that has become an outlet store. There is a Macy's, but during our visit, we did not see a lot of foot traffic going in and out. The Town Center needs to be refreshed with more entertainment venues. And I would expect to see it do really well. There was a wonderful movie theater basically across the street, but that has closed so much of the attraction to the area is now gone. So to summarize it's a nice clean location with some great ice cream shops and other restaurants. There are of course cell phone shops and other little specialty places you see in these shopping centers. So if you know what you're looking for and you know there's a store at the Town Center I would encourage you to go.
Matthew P — Google review
This shopping center offers a variety of options for men, women, teens and children. Lots of choices for food; from quick bites to dit down and enjoy. I have found all of the assistants in the various stores to be exceptionally helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend this Mall. By the way, it is an outdoor mall.
Frances C — Google review
Good place. Plenty of stores and restaurants. Parking in a bit issue on the main road but plenty available on the backside.
Seth G — Google review
It's a nice spot to get something to eat and have a variety of smaller stores to shop. Macy's seems to be loosing it's luster, so Bowie Town Center is missing the flagship department stores like it use to have.
S T — Google review
They have everything you could ever want in a cool shopping center plaza like environment. It’s like a whole mall outside.
Bob T — Google review
Wonderful location for a special event or gathering. Nice restrooms, separate bar and catered food location. Beautiful decor, lighting and dance floor with raised floor area.
Vanessa D — Google review
I visited Bowie Town Center; the area is easy to navigate with ample parking and a good mix of shops and dining options, though some storefronts could use updating and crowding can occur on weekends

Belair Mansion, located in Bowie, Maryland, is a living museum housed in a historic 1745 governor's home. The mansion has been home to several Maryland governors and was later owned by the renowned American horse breeder William Woodward. It now operates as a museum offering tours to the public, showcasing collections that interpret local life from 1747 to 1950.
Really cool museum. Stark contrast to the neighborhood around it as this is a very impressive estate. A lot of history, You can learn quite a bit going here. It is nice how they have preserved the styling of the rooms woth period antiques. There is a large lawn where you can relax and occasionally there are events hosted by the city here. Really cool place.

Came across the Belair Mansion while looking for things to do with my boys on their Christmas break and saw an elf hunt. This was a super cute experience that they enjoyed as well as an opportunity for them to take in some of the local history. Not only was it free but it was highly engaging for my young kids and it seems even the older kids that were there had a great time as well. The staff mentioned they do several events throughout the year and I’m excited to go back. The home was beautiful and well maintained. Nice to see history preserved AND actually being utilize in a manner that engages the public.

The grounds are lovely, and the manor is an overall beautiful place. Though, my girlfriend and I visited here with the intention to take photos inside the manor, and we were quoted $250 for an hour to take photos inside. It was only three of us, and our photographer was by no means a professional, just a hobbyist. The website said nothing about a price to take photos inside, so this was a bit of a disappointment, as we had driven a bit to get there. Other then not being able to go inside dressed in our victorian clothes, the visit was fine. The staff were helpful and there weren't any other people visiting the property, so we had the grounds to ourselves. I recommend the mansion, just the price was a bit steep for photography. So, go tour the manner, just do no go for the means of photography unless you wish to pay $250 for an hour. An absolutely beautiful property steeped in history.

A nice little piece of Maryland history tucked into a neighborhood. Not crowded, helpful employees, and they offer tours and events, though we did the self guided tour.
Jennifer H — Google review
Took my kids here on a field trip with a couple other families. Our tour guide was excellent - knowledgeable, engaging, and patient with the kids. I had a great time learning about the history of this mansion. The gift shop had some cute unique pieces for sale. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.
Kim N — Google review
Great experience. We watched a short video on the history and then did a self guided tour. Really amazing history and well preserved home. We learned quite a bit just walking thru the house and reading our tour book. One of the hottest days this summer but the house was quite cool and comfortable. Nice walk....lots of stairs.

I visited Belair Mansion in Bowie with my almost 18 month old and my cousin. It’s a quaint historical place. We went around 3 pm on a Saturday in June 2021 and there were maybe 4 other people coming out as we were going in so we basically had the place to ourselves. There are quite a bit of stairs so that’s one thing to keep in mind but there might be an elevator so I would call and ask if that’s a concern. There are things that shouldn’t be touched and areas that are roped off so I carried my daughter so she wouldn’t get us in trouble! Overall it was a nice experience and a great place to learn about local history. It’s free but donations are welcome.
Cynamon B — Google review
I was looking for a venue to do a prom photoshoot with my daughter when I happened upon Belair mansion online. Despite arriving 30 minutes before closing time we were graciously allowed in and offered a suggestion for the room with the best natural lighting. We used our 30 minutes to get a variety of poses inside, as well as a few outside, and both of us were delighted at the possibilities. I can’t say if it was because we were so late arriving but at 3:30 on Saturday we were the only ones in the mansion and that allowed for us to be creative and comfortable. This is such a beautiful historical museum! Well worth the visit!

The Belair Stable Museum is a free-entry institution that commemorates the important role played by Belair stable in the local horse-breeding and racing history. This historic stable, dating back to 1907, was once part of a stud farm that is claimed to be the birthplace of American horseracing during the 1740s. Notably, it holds the distinction of producing the sole father-son pair of Triple Crown winners in the 20th century.
Interesting facts about local horse and history! Tatu, The museum aide was very welcoming and very knowledgeable and even gave us a tour of the StableMasters housing. She informed us of the history of the Woodwards and even pointed out another location for us to visit; the Woodward Mansion. We appreciate her and her hospitality. Thank you! :)

If you’re into the history of thoroughbred racing, this is for you. I really like the stablemaster's living quarters, which had a variety of period pieces from the 1920s.

Did you know This 1907 Stable was part of a stud farm that in the 1740s was the birthplace of American horseracing? In the 20th century it produced the only father-son set of Triple Crown winners! On the Beautiful grounds it has this majestic stone Stables, and up the hill you can tour the Belair Mansion, home to two Maryland governors. Learn about the 40 or more Slaves who built this 2200 arce plantation, and how African American slaves were among the best jockeys. That is until their descendants were banned from horseracing. It must be noted that I work there and would love to show you the physical and cultural history of Bowie, MD.

The National Capital Radio & Television Museum, open Friday through Sunday, offers a fascinating journey through the history of electronic media. With seven galleries showcasing the evolution of radio and television from wireless telegraphy to the rise of television in the 20th century, visitors can explore preserved technology such as cathedral radios from the 1930s and crystal sets. Established in 1993 by antique radio enthusiasts, this private museum is dedicated to sharing their love for vintage radios and preserving artifacts associated with electronic media.
David gave us an excellent tour. He clearly loves radio and television history. The collection they have from the 1850s on is amazing!
Brian K — Google review
This is a hidden gem! Our friend David invited us for a tour. It was phenomenal. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed all of the radios, televisions, and other gadgets. Learning about our nation’s communication systems since the 1800’s. David had an excellent delivery - it was informative and interesting. It was well worth the trip. I highly recommend this tour! Great for kids considering engineering and people who love learning about the way things work!!
Jean C — Google review
If you ever find yourself near Bowie, Maryland, do yourself a favor and visit the National Capital Radio & Television Museum—a truly surprising gem. Our guide, the brilliant Mr. Crotty, was endlessly patient and knowledgeable, expertly answering our barrage of questions without so much as a second thought. The museum is packed with two floors of radio and TV history, from humble crystal radios to massive console televisions that look like they could double as a grand father clock. The “portable” wooden radios were especially hilarious—they looked like fine furniture with a handle. Imagine dragging one to the beach, complete with an aerial antenna and stacks of batteries, like you’re hauling a small elephant. Most items are donated and lovingly restored, with many on display still working. Hearing the warm, crackly sound of these vintage devices was a genuine treat—proof that old-school craftsmanship still had soul. Skip the usual tourist traps and dive into this fascinating, quirky celebration of broadcasting history. It’s educational, fun, and genuinely impressive in a way only vintage radios can be. I would happily recommend to anyone interested in tech, history, or just a good story.
Charlie W — Google review
Radios are awesome. Great museum. Definitely ask for a tour. Excellent docents. Learned a ton and enjoyed all of it. My 6th grade daughter said "it was cool." My mom found it to be very informative and enjoyed looking at all the artifacts. Definitely worth the trip and maybe even becoming a member! Bring some cash to make a donation. This place is a real gem.
Anita M — Google review
This museum is an authentic treasure. It's well worth the effort to visit this small, "out of the way" location. The building is full of vintage radio and television equipment from the 1920s through modern day. Everything is in pristine condition and presented in interesting groupings. Our docent, Mr. David Greene, I believe, guided us through the displays spanning the history of radio and telegraph communications from its inception to today's technology. The treasures include ham radio and commercial radio as well as the earliest television sets of the 1950s. I had no idea there was such a thing as a mechanical television. Our docent regaled us with information and descriptions of early radios to include consumer trends and how the various manufacturers marketed their new technology. You will likely see relics from your own past and fondly remember your earliest experience with radio and TV equipment long forgotten but beautifully preserved here. You may find one visit is not enough to fully appreciate it.
Steve L — Google review
Verry, much like visiting a Caucasian relative that has a lot of old stuff. No information regarding the African American contribution to broadcasting. Very much a one sized perspective. This should be free. No real value to the so called museum at all. Extremely disappointed. Although the 1 historian on-site seemed invaluable regarding the history re: gadget development relating to the existence of radio and the nation's lack of ability to see that there was an actual market for it longterm.
Jewells — Google review
The team at the museum are knowledgeable and interested is sharing the history. They literally start with the pony express and walk you through all of the steps from then to now.

Six Flags America, located in Maryland, started as a safari park in 1974 before transforming into a theme park and joining the Six Flags family. Spanning over 500 acres, it offers an array of attractions including Looney Tunes-themed rides for kids, thrilling roller coasters, and a water park. The park is divided into six themed areas such as Main Street 1776 and Gotham City. Visitors can enjoy over 50 rides and shows suitable for all ages.
I absolutely love Six Flags. Definitely one of my favorite amusement parks I’ve ever been to. I always came here multiple times during the summer as a kid so I had to come one last final time. before they close for good. Some of their rides were shut down, but we still had a great time. The workers are super nice and polite. I’m glad my kids got to come at least one time before they shut down for good. We had such a great time but also sad knowing this will be our last time here for good and this place will set vacant. I do recommend buying tickets online since they’re half off? I also recommend getting a souvenir cup for $20 so you can get free refills for the rest of the day and you can keep the cup as a little memory.
Katie H — Google review
THIS REVIEW WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. The park closes permanently in November. If you plan to go before it does, buy the standard ticket. I promise there is NO need to buy a fast pass of any kind as the park is mostly empty even on weekends. If you buy a single meal deal, there’s about a $4 cost savings if you order your meal and drink from Jonny Rockets ($28 regular and $24 with the meal deal ticket). My wife and I enjoyed the rides and the theme park, and we hope they build something similar there.
Kiefer J — Google review
Pretty sad to see this place closing down. I surprisingly had a better time here than SFNE. I just thought that here, everything wasn't crammed into one little space like over there. Although, Six Flags New England has some nice buildings. Back to Six Flags America. It wasn't very crowded. On days where it's busy, the I'll expect the lines to be 2 hours each because these operations are BAD. There were only running one train on half of the coasters and it took them about 3 minutes to dispatch each train. They were only running on gondola on Voodoo Drop and it still took like 2 minutes. I hope their operations get better because this park is closing in less than a month. I did have a great time for my 4 hours there even though it rained (the reason why I only stayed there for 4 hours.) Come check this place out before closing on 11/2/25
Jonathan C — Google review
I love this place! 🙃🥳My daughter & i will most certainly miss our home state amusement park. I been coming here since I was 9 in the "adventure world" to "wild world" days. I'm very sad to see Six Flags not invest in the park overall that much since 2000. However, what they added since are great flat ride additions. If it got its fair share of investment $ along the years since superman was added, I think it would still have survived the cutting board. What a shame😭 That being said, I hope everyone got their fun in by now. If not, this weekend will be the final hooray! I'm sure we'll be there getting our last kicks in, weather is looking good so far! ✌🏽😎
J W — Google review
Despite the park closing permanently very soon, I had a great time here! All the Roller Coasters had no wait on a Sunday, and we got to ride them all a few times. Park was clean, and the shows were good. Operations were quite slow (granted it is closing soon, and no crowds) but still kind of annoying. All the roller coasters were quite fun, favorites being Superman: Ride Of Steel, Jokers Jinx, and Wild One.
Brennon H — Google review
I visited this park knowing about the coming closure in November. Overall, it was a good experience and I had some fun. The only downside to my experience was that three out of the eight roller coasters were closed that day. This is a big deal considering there aren’t that many to begin with. The crowds were not too bad and most of the coasters only ran one train. The park is nice and offers some cool places such as the new steam town. On the other hand, there are some areas that do not look well kept. The staff were friendly when running the rides. I would like to come back one day, however, because of the closure I would not return.
Brody H — Google review
I know that this park is closing next month so I went one last time. I was disappointed that Superman: Ride of Steel, and Batwing was closed. I went on 6 rides and the wait time was 5 minutes or less. Ragin Cajun had a longer wait so I didn't go on that ride. I was going to ride Harley Quinn Spinsanity but they were having a problem getting the seat belts to lock so I got out of line. The rides that I went on were very rough. I didn't want to ride them again. I saw 3 shows and they were very good. It's sad that the park is closing but the roller-coasters need to be replaced.
Leya C — Google review
My first time here was the last day the park was open. Kind of hard to believe they'd want to close that park. The grounds were clean, the staff was professional, I even saw a ride operator pick up a piece of trash off of the floor that a guest had dropped. Almost forgot it was a six flags park lol. It just feels like their corporate daddy is deciding to close the park because it's not a big money maker, but it's hard to believe it's losing them money. So much history and large part of people's lives and jobs gone because someone at the top wants to make a quick buck versus putting in the time and money to make it a truly great park. It's sad l and I hope this isn't a repeat of astroworld. Six flags just completed a merger last year with cedar fair so there's a bunch of parks that are close together. Closing this park was just getting rid of some "redundancy." I honestly expect to see more closings where there's another park close by over the next decade or so.

It's a very charming place to watch baseball. It's AA minor league; however, it makes for a much more personal and intimate experience. And you never know: you may catch an Oriole that's on rehab assignment playing there.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Prince George’s Stadium – A Fantastic Experience! I traveled all the way from Houston, TX to Bowie, Maryland to watch my son play baseball, and I could not have been more impressed with Prince George’s Stadium! I had the BEST week of my life. From the moment I pulled in, I noticed the FREE parking for all home games—such a wonderful perk. At the Baysox Ticket Office, the staff provided superior customer service and made the process smooth and welcoming. When my daughter and I stopped by the Chesapeake Baysox Team Store, we were greeted by Charlene, who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. She truly went above and beyond to help us with all our merchandise questions and purchases. Her willingness to listen and assist made the experience outstanding. The ushers—Fred, Ike, and Pesh—were truly unforgettable. Every day we attended a game, they were polite, courteous, and so welcoming. They not only helped us with our seats, but also took the time to teach us so much about baseball, the stadium, the county, and even Baltimore. Their kindness, knowledge, and genuine care made our experience deeply personal and memorable. They are an incredible asset to the stadium and really elevated our visit. We also had the chance to dine at the Diamond View Restaurant, where the air conditioning and excellent service provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience. On days we arrived early, we were also given the privilege of watching batting practice before the game that was such a fun bonus! And to top it all off the fireworks show was absolutely spectacular, one of the most beautiful displays I have ever seen. Overall, Prince George’s Stadium offers not only a great ballgame, but also outstanding service, family-friendly fun, and unforgettable memories. I am so grateful for the wonderful staff—especially the ushers—who made our visit truly special. Chesapeake Baysox Baseball Fans- Jayme Faulkner and Alexis Wells.

Bowie Golf Club, a charming municipal course with over 60 years of history, has been under new management since 2021. Originally opened as the Belair Golf & Country Club in 1959, this delightful venue offers a glimpse into its rich past that dates back to the 18th century when it was part of Peachtree Estates.
Bowie is a nice course . Always enjoy myself playing here . Good for beginners to moderate players due to the wife open fairways with very few water hazards. Greens are in good shape . Price is Right .what more can u ask for..

The fairways and greens were in great condition. The cart paths needed some work all around, but not anything that you can't deal with. Staff is also friendly. Price is comparable to other local public courses. A great value

Meh... the layout is interesting but the course is in horrible condition. They're doing construction, so 1, 9 and 18 are not playing the normal layout. The tees for 1 are at the dog leg 175 yards out, 9 has a B.S. fake green mowed into the middle of the fairway and the tee box on 18 is setup in the fairway. Several tee boxes aren't even close to level so you're trying to hit driver off a 3 or 4 degree downhill lie. The cart paths are trash (but the construction isn't repairing any cart paths). The paths are so bad it hurt my back riding over them. The golf carts are 20 year old crappy, loud, gas powered carts. The one positive is that its cheap but there are much better options in the area for similar cost. I won't play here again.

Very nice course, short but challenging. Can't beat the prices either.
William C — Google review
Great value for the money. Course nicely laid out and maintained. People also very nice. My only complaint was that the clubhouse and facilities could do with a spruce up.
Donal O — Google review
BEWARE!!! This course is awful. The staff is very rude, I mean very rude and unprofessional as if they don't want you there. The tee box was open and they went to the parking lot to get 2 people to put with us one of which had to go pay. They will not let you go out regardless of what happens. I will never go to this course again. If you go you will see for yourself.

The park features a historic Gustav Dentzel Carousel, a miniature train, and an 18-hole miniature golf course. Visitors can also explore the Old Maryland Farm and interact with friendly farm animals. Saturday, June 14, 2025 – Juneteenth Festival at Watkins Regional Park What an amazing day! We had the pleasure of attending the Juneteenth Festival 2025 at Watkins Regional Park, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The celebration brought together art, culture, and community in a powerful way. The festival was a vibrant Arts and Heritage Celebration that honored the spirit of Juneteenth with live bands, horseback rides, delicious food vendors, and a variety of fun activities spread throughout the park. From the music to the cultural showcases, it was a day filled with joy, education, and unity. Grateful to be part of such a meaningful event that celebrates freedom, creativity, and heritage. Looking forward to coming back next year!

So, I haven't been to here in quite some time. There's a reason this is a reginal park...it's huge! I've been here multiple times either for personal leisure with my kids or during the Christmas light show each year. We only went to the playground but, wow, they did an amazing renovation to the playground. It's like a fairytale-like playground that seems like it needs its own storybook. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. There are so many gadgets, slides, barnes, houses; trinkets, and much more! There's so much open space, picnic spaces, pavillions; grills, trails, so on, and so forth. Usually, I have to supplement the entertainment for my kids by being an imaginary monster. However, this time around, they didn't even think of asking me they just ran straight to the playground and started engaging with all its wonderful intricacies. Now that I'm aware of this newfound renovation, this park will definitely make the top two list of playgrounds we visit regularly. You gotta check it out, especially if you have kids and need to entertain them. Let me know your thoughts. I can't wait to hear what you have to say.

I've only ever been to the park during the holiday lights event. Today was my first time walking the paved paths...I loved it. I participated in a 5k and this park is beautiful! Its well maintained, filled with friendly passersby and at over 800 acres it contains space for multiple activities to occur simultaneously. Great example of gorgeous Prince George's!

This is my family's favorite park! We love the nature center: outdoor aviary w/ birds of prey, bridge, ponds, water feature, butterfly garden and outdoor amphitheater. There are also paved trails. That was just about the nature center and its immediate surrounding area! We also love the drive thru Christmas Lights! They added a carriage ride that we haven't tried yet. We always roll down the windows to listen to the big 🌲 tree play songs. We get hot cocoa on our way to the Festival of Lights and sip and sing and laugh and chat our way through every year! We love attending big community events there too. The parking and organization is always well thought out. The accessibility options are good (I'm speaking from my stroller experiences, not a personal mobility limitation). I love tent camping. Watkins isn't my favorite camping spot, but it not bad at all. They have a youth group area. The spots have trash cans and fire pit/grills. There is a bathhouse with hot/cold running water, flush toilets, and showers. It's big enough and has enough overhang space that a bunch of people can shelter there for a storm. The location is ideal for new campers. There is a road and civilization close by! There is a 711, CVS, Wendy's and Chipotle in walking distance! Must cross the intersection for the grocery store, McDonald's, Negrille (good Caribbean food), and Duncan. The carousel and train don't run every day, but you can look up the times. We like the put put golf and farm animals too. And, there good trees for climbing on the way to the animals. It's a great park, and they keep improving!
Krystal P — Google review
The trails at this park are great with paved and natural walkways. Natural trails are marked with painted patches on trees which could be retouched with fresh paint.

Wonderful park with loads to do. Worth the trip from DC. The playground was nice and had a lot for kids to do. Probably better for older kids (4+) than toddlers. The nature center was great! Lots of animals and the people working there were so nice. They let the kids feed the fish while they tended to a turtle in the same tank. They didn’t have to do that, so it was very nice. There are also plenty of bathrooms all around the grounds which is great with little kids. The trails were well marked and easy to follow. The Farm had a good variety of animals and the signs were very informative. Over all a great morning spent there.
Alex N — Google review
I had only been to the Wizard of Oz playground before with my grandkids. Today I followed the trails around and got all the way over to the farm. That male turkey was seriously showing off for the female, but I'm not sure you can see her in either of the videos. The nature center was very nice. And there are a couple of interesting cultures on the trail also. I believe they called them "chainsaw sculpture". I really nice place to spend a couple of hours. The trails are all paved and accessible to all.

The Bowie Railroad Museum, located in the heart of Bowie, Maryland, pays homage to the significant role played by the train depot in the development of Huntington City, later renamed Bowie. The museum is housed in three small frame structures that were once part of the original train station and offers a fascinating insight into the history of rail transportation in the region. Visitors can explore an ancient railroad village and even climb up to an interlocking tower for a view of passing trains.
I got a personal tour on this museum! I learned about the purpose of switch stations and how they communicate to the rail. The tour guide was pretty cool!

I love old railroad stuff, and this was a great little place to see some old items and learn about the history of Bowie. The caboose has some books and toys for kids to play with. If the doors are locked but you’re there during open hours, just go into the visitor center and ask them to unlock it for you.
Amanda D — Google review
This is a great little community and volunteer run rail museum which is spread out between 2 buildings (station and tower) and a single beautifully restored caboose. You can come and see it all with the help of a guide in 30 min or less so a nice quick diversion even if you are just passing through.

This was a really interesting museum, with a lot of historical railroad information. We got to go in a real caboose and the old signal tower. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back again sometime.

Interesting local history. There's a caboose that visitors can enter when the museum is open. It is next to the Amtrak tracks, so we saw a couple passenger trains including the high speed Acela. There are three structures from the original 19th century train station.

Farmers Markets
The farmers' market, Bowie Farmers' Market, is highly regarded for its outstanding selection of fresh produce and high-quality food. It offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly vendors who create a warm and personal experience for visitors. The market is particularly popular among families with children, as it provides a kid-friendly environment. One minor drawback mentioned by some customers is that the market operates exclusively on Sundays, limiting the opportunity to purchase ingredients until after Sunday afternoon's church service.
Only a couple more Sundays left at Bowie high school, come get the best produce and vegetables from the produce stand in the back of the parking lot

Great farmer's market, good people, excellent food. Kid friendly. Only thing I don't like is that it's on Sundays, which means I can't buy and cook food until after getting back from church Sunday afternoon, once the weekend is basically over. Saturday mornings would be a lot more useful, as we could start cooking for the weekend and upcoming week before lunchtime on Saturday.

The center also hosts the Broadway Bound summer camp for children aged 8-12. Visitors can expect high-quality shows such as music concerts and theatrical productions. The venue has received positive feedback from attendees who have enjoyed various performances and events at the center.
Love our local Performing Arts Center. Always here for Joe Clair and Friends on the last Sat of each month. Also love that it's near my home, secure and secluded yet feels like you are in the city. This is a great addition for the City of Bowie. Got to take some photos after the show with the comedians. Great date night venue, like I said close to home but also feels like you were out of town, and why not, yes it's next to Bowie High School but it's not Bowie High School

A Night of Whitney: A Review of the Tribute Concert Last Saturday in Bowie, MD, we were transported back to the golden age of pop music with a fantastic tribute to the legendary Whitney Houston. From the moment the lights dimmed and the first notes echoed through the venue, we were captivated. The performer, who channeled Whitney's incredible vocal power and stage presence with remarkable accuracy. She effortlessly soared through challenging numbers like "I Will Always Love You" and "I Have Nothing," eliciting chills and more than a few teary eyes from the audience. But it wasn't just about hitting the high notes. The performer also captured the emotion and vulnerability that made Whitney's music so special. During quieter songs like "Greatest Love of All" and "Saving All My Love for You," She conveyed a depth of feeling that truly resonated with the crowd. Beyond the vocals, the entire production was a celebration of Whitney's legacy. The band was top-notch, the backup singers and dancers were phenomenal, and the stage design was simple yet elegant. It all came together to create a truly immersive experience that honored the iconic singer. Whether you're a lifelong Whitney Houston fan or simply appreciate incredible vocal talent, this tribute concert is a must-see. It's a powerful reminder of the impact Whitney had on the music world and a testament to her enduring legacy.

Bowie Ice Arena, a beloved seasonal skating facility, has been a fixture in the city of Bowie since 1971. It offers open skating sessions, lessons, and camps for both children and adults. The arena is home to various local figure skating and ice hockey organizations. Visitors can enjoy public skate sessions throughout the week with rental skates available in various sizes. Additionally, the facility features a snack bar, pro shop, and hosts hockey games and figure skating competitions.
Great, clean facility and friendly staff. I’ve enjoyed the lessons and coming back for public skate. Definitely recommended for little ones learning to skate as well. They make it fun and offer camps during the summer. Walkers available if you are just starting out. I’ve also found their pricing to be extremely reasonable- especially compared to neighboring ice arenas. A great place for the entire family to enjoy themselves.

Bowie Dog Park is a beloved spot for dog owners, providing a dedicated area for furry friends to romp and socialize. The park offers separate sections for small and large dogs, ensuring a safe environment for all pets. Additionally, there are agility features to add extra excitement and exercise. Water stations are conveniently available to keep dogs hydrated during playtime. The park's location within Northview Enfield Chase Park makes it easily accessible, with mulch ground cover making cleanup hassle-free.
Very fun dog park! Lots of space for the doggies to play in. My boys loved it. It's very easy to clean after them with free bags and trash cans nearby. Overall, it's a very good vibe for the dogs!
Montay H — Google review
Best dog park ever. Most have lots of mud. This park has great surface and water stations. Even a bit of shade!
Bill A — Google review
The mulch concept is disgusting. During humid periods, there is not ONE minute your pet will be clean after entering the park. No running water, but a small cooler that runs out of water by late morning. Dangerously placed dog obstacles that pertty much become collision hazards when dogs are running. The park is not regularly monitored or maintained, so if dogs happen to dig, good luck with your ankles. The only reason people still frequent this park is because of proximity. Not to mention, having a school right next door means that, at certain times during the school year, good luck finding parking in the lot.

Wish there was more shade and grass areas for the dogs except for just mulch cuz mulch is hard on a dog's paw pads cuz of the sharpness. First time going there did enjoy it

This dog park is convenient to my house. The mulch (versus grass) makes it easier to clean up after your pet. I'm glad the city finally put a water jug out there for the dogs. The on-site poop bags are nice too.
Edrika — Google review
Small area for small dogs, has some shaded areas, also has poo bags. Has wood chip like areas, helps keep the dog clean but they seem to get stuck in between the paws. The large dog part area is huge, plenty of room for running, a few shaded areas and benches for the humans. Water cooler available for use, recommend you bring your own dish, as some of the ones provided are very dirty. Overall, a nice dog park, 3 stars because of the small area for small dogs.

My son was in sister act which is why I was there. I have never been there prior and didn’t know it existed. However, I will say it’s a nice place. It’s a small building in the woods(sounds weird but once you visit you’ll see what I mean). It was very clean and the ppl associated with them were very friendly and helpful. Jerry's Seafood is a well-established, family-friendly restaurant known for its delicious crab specialties and other seafood options. Since its inception in 1983, it has been a local favorite, with its newest location in Bowie only adding to its popularity. The dining room at Jerry's Seafood is beautifully decorated with warm, natural colors, creating a cozy atmosphere for diners.
Food and service is always great at Jerry's. It was pretty full but no wait. Server came immediately to take our orders. I took my boyfriend here for the first time and he enjoyed it. He had the Calamari, Stuffed Shrimp, Baked Potato and Green Beans. I had the Firecracker Crab Bomb and fries. The sweet tea is a must as well.
Shira' L — Google review
this was my first time at Jerrys, I had told my family I wanted a solid maryland crab cake for my birthday today and this is where we landed, while the food was good i wouldnt say it was particularly exciting or special outside the crab bomb. they start you off with a warm bread basket with butter, the entrees come with two sides I got the caesar salad and wedges. The Service here left much to be desired the managerial staff was very seemingly very selective as to what tables they chose to check on, and our waiter was absent often and while I can appreciate staggering between courses the wait times were still considerably lengthy especially given that they didn’t really get filled up until about 25 mins into my dining experience. one of my party members got the cream of crab soup which she found to be extremely bland and sent back, the oysters she had she did enjoy. they split with our other guest the crab and shrimp bomb with the house salad they both reported the salad lacked toppings and the blue cheese less than desirable. when our main courses finally arrived I can say the crab bomb was certainly the star. It was nicely filled with real lump crab meat and had a nice sauce within, and the shrimp x crab bomb combo i found to be very juicy! for my platter I found the haddock to be surprisingly well executed it was light flaky appropriately battered and flavorful I really enjoyed it , at $56 though seeing that tiny scallop on my plate next to those large shrimps was disappointing and the scallops were somewhere in between slightly overdone but also under?! weird ! the steamed shrimps were lightly seasoned, listed as devined but i did find one shrimp that definitely was not I get that no one really wants to do that to begin with but if you’re going to go through the trouble of listing that on the menu as a prime feature of a dish then please make sure that that is the case across your plates. the fried shrimps were seasoned nicely, as were the wedges! Overrall id rate the mariners plate 7 or if being nice 8 out of ten. It left more of / for something to be desired. the server when they finally got back to us did bring me a brownie for my birthday unprompted which was nice and appreciated. If i come back its definitely going to be to go! or right when they open

Jerry’s CrabHouse has amazing seafood. The Crab soup was amazing. The crabcakes are to die for. Everything came out so fast, fresh, and tasted amazing. The staff were all so nice and attentive to our needs. Especially Julian, he was so great. He provided us with great customer service. He was very kind the minute we sat down, and checked up on us very frequently.
Mazda M — Google review
We stopped at Jerry’s on a Saturday around 2pm and were sat immediately but it seemed like good timing as the place filled up quickly. The service was awesome, and the food that followed was even better! The rolls they serve to start the meal are kinda unique, and fun to pull apart. The kids also enjoyed the butter balls. We tried the crab bomb firecracker style, the crab cake sandwich, kids fried shrimp with fries and apple sauce and the house salad with feta vinegar and house dressings. The crab bomb is their claim to fame- and it was basically a large crab cake, seasoned with pepper and dry mustard. It was very good, but could have used some extra garnishes, maybe pickled onions or something similar to enhance the experience and a side of butter and/ or lemon. The crab cake sandwich was a little plain, again, lacking lettuce tomato and mayo, something you would expect on a crab cake sandwich. The kids fried shrimp was large and lightly fried, delicious! The fries that went with the meal were wedge style fries and a tasty addition. The salads were romaine style, pretty typical house salad- but the dressings were a real standout. Highly recommend the feta vinegar and house dressings. The restaurant itself is very cool, large televisions, cool artwork, a nice bar area, and enough room to accommodate any size party. But I did rank it a four star because it was so cold! We had to run out and get our hoodies. All in all, I would definitely come back and try some more menu items- especially the crab soup and crab dip.

Took my mom here after several friends friends recommended. I was disappointed 😞. They receptionist typed the wrong number to text me when our table was supposed to be ready. My elderly mom requested hot water in a mug to drink (she was cold). A server delivered hot water in a glass. She could not hold it. The calamari was average. Marinara sauce was too sweet. My .om enjoyed the crab cake but felt there was additional fish in it. I didn't see it. I ordered the platter. Crab cake was delicious! Haddock was dry and inedible. Their rolls and baked potatoes were on point. It was an experience but not one worth repeating. I did see you can order and have Crab bomb/cake shipped!

Had a great time last night with a girlfriend catching up! We got 18 oysters (all blue points and as of 8/14/25 they were $1.75/oyster!), the calamari, the Crab Bomb with the seasonal veggie & a baked potato (the entree comes with 2 sides) and the carrot cake. We shared all of the above. Our server was good and attentive and let us just chat and go at our own pace which was great. Pre-bussing was also great from the other support staff. Very reasonably priced and will definitely come back soon!
Amy M — Google review
The crabcake was amazing, the baked potato was good-hard to mess that up. The vegetables were canned and heated up, very mushy. For the price you pay I was far from impressed. We had a party of 9 and they sat us at a table fit for no more than 7. My sons could barely move to eat. The restaurant was crammed and uncomfortable. For a $700 bill we definitely should have been comfortable at the bare minimum!

Skatepark
Allen Pond Park in Bowie is an expansive 85-acre recreational area offering a wide range of activities for visitors. The park features athletic fields, picnic sites, a fishing pond stocked with bass and crappie, hiking trails, an ice rink, and a skateboard area. Additionally, there's Opportunity Park with accessible playground equipment for children and the Robert V. Setera Amphitheater hosting summer concerts.
Allen Pond is one of my favorite places for an early morning walk. The trail around the pond is less than a mile, but you can easily extend your walk by heading up toward the ball fields for a bit more distance. It's peaceful and scenic and water views make it a refreshing way to start the day. One of the things I appreciate most is how safe I feel walking here, even in the early hours. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to clear your mind, get some light exercise, or just enjoy nature, Allen Pond is a great spot. The park is well-maintained, and there’s always a mix of walkers, joggers, and friendly faces enjoying the space.

This park was peaceful with a pond, two playgrounds, and plenty of other amenities near by. There were plenty of parking available on the day we went, and people were having family reunions, BBQs, and fun around this park. I would definitely recommend this location for a fun day out with family!

Whenever I want to decompress or just have some alone time, Allen Pond is first place that comes to mind. Very serene and I always feel safe on the grounds. It’s very well kept and never run into problems with seeing trash or litter. Ample parking and fun for people of all walks and ages.

Great park for the family. I love that it has two playgrounds and a walking path around a scenic pond where you can watch the ducks. If you're lucky, you might catch the ice cream truck. I've attended birthday parties and seen many picnics here I think the grills and picnic areas are first come, first served. The playgrounds can get crowded, so be prepared to keep a close eye on your child. I don't recommend walking around the pond alone at night or when the park is empty, as there are secluded areas with many trees. I usually visit when I expect others to be there and prefer to walk behind another female or family. The park shares a parking lot with Bowie Ice Arena, which is convenient if your child has activities there.

Nice place to visit with the family. Not too crowded, parking can be a challenge at times. The bass weren't biting too much, but my daughter did happen to snag one. Don't worry, we practice Catch-and-Release. Lol

Sushi restaurant
Restaurant
Ichiban Sushi Asian Bistro is a chic and modern restaurant located in the Bowie Town Center. The newly redesigned interior features a stunning full-wall waterfall, granite bar, and stylish dark-wood tables. The menu offers a fusion of Pan-Asian cuisine with a contemporary twist, including dishes like spicy Sichuan chicken dumplings and miso-glazed sea bass. Sushi enthusiasts will appreciate the extensive selection of options such as red clam, eel, and baby octopus.
When I read the reviews, I was a little nervous, but I’m so glad I gave this place a chance! The food was fantastic—great Asian fusion dishes with so much flavor. I especially loved the sushi; it was super fresh and delicious. The manager and staff were so friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth the visit.

This Asian restaurant has been our go-to place since we moved here a few years ago. The staff are always friendly, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious—it's the top Asian restaurant in the area. I've heard a lot of negative rumors about this place, but the fact that we keep coming back proves those claims are false.

They only get a 4 stars because of the bathrooms being out of order and open - it was a little weird! Buuuuuuut the restaurant itself was wonderful. The food was good, the drinks were strong, the place was clean, the environment was friendly, and Chole gives amazing service and a strong drink lol. Now let's address the other reviews, my first impression of this place 2 years ago was not that great, but giving them another shot was worth it and I sat at the bar solo without my newborn and my former lmao. (We still love that person) And now I love this place lol - I will be returning. I ordered the Margarita (classic), Seafood Gyoza, Surf and Turf roll, Thai Drunken Noodle-Chicken.

My experience was not this best at all. There is always one bad apple. When I first sat down, this particular waitress tossed my napkin, spoon and knife on the table.😱 At that moment I should have removed myself but I said it was a small toss so I won’t make it a big deal. Let’s keep in mind this was my first time there. I ordered the soft carp sushi spices roll. Every sushi is not made the same. Sorry to say, it was too tough for me to swallow! When I attempted to explain, her only responses was, “Everyone likes this and we make everything fresh!” Never did I challenge her that they didn’t make their food fresh. I do know that most sushi rolls are made right there when you are in the restaurant. My apologies, it was not the best for me. She never asked if she could accommodate many any other way! Bad attitude and customer service!😳 I still remained polite and continue with my lunch with an ex-coworker. The waitress went and told all her co-workers that, “I did not like the food and she wasn’t going to give me a refund along with a few other things!😱 As I kept my eye on the other waitress of how attentive she was towards her customers, I said to myself, I should have sat over there. I made sure I gave her (the kind/polite) waitress’s a compliment for her style of professionalism and to keep up with the great service. As for the waitress that waited on us, no thank you! Oh, she didn’t bring water to start, and we had to ask for a bag for leftovers! My recommendation to her is, if you are unhappy at the restaurant find another job and make sure you sign up for Customers Service Class 101 @ 9:00am!

I really like this restaurant. Every time I visit Bowie, I come here. The owner is friendly, the prices are reasonable, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is excellent! Looking forward to coming again next time.

My wife and I love sushi and decided to try this spot in our area. I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but the food and service at this location were very disappointing. We ordered hibachi with chicken, the Raven Roll and Annapolis Roll. The rolls were ok, but the chicken and vegetables left much to be desired with a weird after taste. The service was poor; our server only came to our table to take our order and deliver our food. We had to flag him over just to ask for water and our check. It’s also worth noting that a 17% gratuity is automatically included, which in any other case we typically would have tipped more.
Ephraim F — Google review
I always enjoy the food here. It's fresh, seasoned nicely, and plentiful. I have dined in and also gotten take out. Each experience has been good.
Sharon K — Google review
I had a great time here but my date not so much. We arrived late and there was only a few people at the restaurant as it was very close to closing time. I ordered the calamari and she ordered a tea. When she got the green tea it smelled like a rusty pot and it tasted metallic, nothing like classic green tea. My calamari was excellent. We then ordered our entree. She got a sushi bowl salad type thing with some sushi rolls and I got general tap chicken with Jasmine rice. Well again my meal, excellent but gets not so much. One bite into the bowl and she found a nice long thick juicy hair, very healthy, good texture and black. She was obviously disgusted. She asked for a remake but for whatever reason they couldn't make get another one (I'm guessing because it was closing time). So she ate her 4 shrimp rolls and I ordered her calamari appetizer since she had some of mines and enjoyed it, plus she was still hungry. She really did not enjoy the experience but my experience was decent. The atmosphere on the place was great. It was in a great location.

It offers hiking trails, birdwatching, and wildlife photography opportunities. The visitor center provides insights into conservation efforts and educational programs. Visitors praise the well-maintained paths and informative exhibits at the center. The refuge also features animal dioramas, kids' crafts, and a polar bear exhibit for an enriching experience for all ages.
Always a good walk around the lake. Our family and friend trailed around and it enjoyed it very much. Would recommend for beginners. We did the 2.5 mile trail and with a 4 year old toddler who really enjoyed it. Great trails for the dogs as well. Pretty flat surface with some uprooted roots. Keep in mind if you take your dog and you use a poop bag there is no trash can until closer to the end of the trail. We didn’t get a chance to check out the visitor center but hope to soon.

Huge open space and trails open to the public. This reconfigured military training ground has two nice size artificial lakes, some easy trails and birds. Visitor center has nice restrooms but no food. A mile drive from the entrance to the visitor center. There is still sounds of gunfire from a shooting range adjacent to the park. Great space for “nature bathing”

Lovely paths through the woods and around Cash lake where there are a variety of birds from ospreys to bluebirds to wood ducks. A lot of the brush is gone because of the intentional burning, so it’s much easier to see all of the chewing of trees by the beavers and all their paths from water onto the land. I really appreciate the care taken by the staff of this precious land.

We went for a walk in nature complete with mocking birds, finches and titmouse species, a brown snake in the water, dragonflies and water lilies. Probably better to go in early summer to early fall when you can see the lilies in full bloom. Bring a camera with long range lens capabilities for shots across the lake or just your eyes and an iphone.. either ways this is a nice 3 hour trip to nature and back. Trails are easy, parking is ample, good visitor center with restrooms and looping trails that are safe with some privacy.

Nice walking trails — one is stroller friendly — and a sweet visitors center. Lots of space for kiddos to run around indoors. Very welcoming and knowledgeable volunteers!! They had prepared some little arts and crafts for the 5ish and under crowd. Glad we drove over here with our little ones and escaped the heat! Also there’s a solid outdoor area to bring a picnic that’s right outside the nature center.

08/25/2024-My play-sister and I attended the summer performance music concert series from 1-7 pm, featuring musicians: Deborah Bond, The Exclusives, 8 OHMS Band, and Spur of The Moment. We bought our lawn chairs, iced bottled water, fruit, and vege snacks. Food trucks were on hand. Yum! Vendors were on hand. People were all happy and having a great time. The talent and music were awesome! Free event! Thank you parks and recreation, MNCPPC(Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning), AARP , and The Arts Cultural Heritage division in Maryland for sponsoring this annual Free music concert series throughout our many parks! This is a decent size park considering it's location slightly directly off the road and next to the Safeway and a Kaiser Permanente. I've been here multiple times for a variety of reasons. I've attended special events around Easter season, birthday parties, picnics, and/or to just enjoy the playground with the kids. They have two playgrounds: one for smaller children, and then one for the bigger kids. There's a lot of open space and two huge soccer fields. They have plenty of sidewalk for folks who want to get their steps in for the day, get a nice run, or even ride their bikes. Kids ride their scooters, there's general fields for folks who want to have a picnic or just relax on the grass and read a book/meditate. There seems to be a stage area for performances during special events and the grounds are nicely maintained. Finally, there's two decent size pavilions with benches/seats and tables but you'll need a permit/reservation for the soccer fields and the pavilions if you intend to use them for a large group of people. There's a bunch of trash/recycle receptacles and a good amount of greenery. One of the pavilions has bathrooms and then there's "porta-potties" in-between the soccer fields. I definitely like this park but it's even more enjoyable when the sun isn't scorching. Check it out some time if you haven't already and let me know what you think.

I love the no smoking signs & enforcement. It makes a difference especially in the heat. I have a good time at every event. The music, giveaways....are nice. A nice park with nature trails, sports fields and historic buildings. I most enjoy walking on the trails which take you out of sububia for a bit. I have seen some cool wildlife in there as well. Not to busy on the trails either. Trails are also function as the take you to the fields/ sports area or sportfit, the bowie play house, or you can follow it along to the hilltop plaza. Nice amenity in the city of Bowie

The thing I love most about this park is the somewhat detailed loop of paved trails that go through a forest which is absolutely gorgeous all year. Then close behind are the well-maintained sports fields of various types. It also connects to old brick buildings that are fun to observe, (but not go into,) the Bowie Playhouse which hosts local shows with local professional and unprofessional actors, and Bowie Sportfit, a nice, well kept gym. The summer is the only time it is a little bit crowded, but the rest of the time it’s quite peaceful. I strongly recommend this beautiful park for any age.

It's a park and one of the only ones in the area. Compare it to a nice park, and it's not great. Compare it to a terrible park, and it's okay. Not sure how crowded it is on weekends and after school in good weather. Under 60 degrees on weekends and after school, it's not too crowded. Small trail out back that hardly anyone uses, mostly because people in this area are averse to nature and generally being outside. Good slides for little kids, although one has a bump on the bottom that you should watch out for.

One of the park's highlights is the opportunity to spot deer roaming from the woods into the open grassy areas.

This is a neighborhood park and so it's understandable that there are limited facilities there. Two tennis courts, one small size shed, basketball and one soccer field. There's a public restroom. No lights in the park at night. It's just okay for any small gathering/event. It's not as great as some other Parks I visited in the past. This is okay because it's a 'neighborhood park'.

Anglers can also find peaceful fishing spots scattered throughout the area. Really like this park. Various ponds and river access with a canoe launch. A good amount of trails to explore too. You could easily walk a couple of miles here. A good amount of wildlife here as well. Good for bird watching, have seen osprey, heron, bald eagles. Some deer roaming around including a piebald (pictured but not great) turtles and fish in the ponds. Quite a few water lillies in there especially in summer. Very nice natural area

A good place for a nice walk, has never been crowded when we were there. The paths are clear and easy to follow. The beavers dammed up a new pond over our favorite route, but we've found a few new ones. Hoping to try fishing with the kids this summer. I miss the Port-a-potty that was removed after Covid hit, it really limits the length of a visit with smaller children.

Nice place for a walk around the lake. Caught and released a good-sized largemouth bass there. Went today and, now, fishing isn't allowed from the shore. ☹️
Guy M — Google review
Pros: The parking is adequate, trails are mowed or decently kept up with, beautiful scenery with views of small ponds, streams, and the river. Plenty of wildlife around and overall a great place to bring the family. Cons: Around the parking area there is a bit of trash, and the one portable bathroom could be kept up with more. The trail signs could be updated to show a little more information. Overall I give this location a solid four stars. I went on a brisk walk in the area and loved it. With some minor improvements this area could be much better.

The kayak launch ramp ended in a muddy mess a several feet from the water. There was a fair amount of wildlife including a beaver, bald eagle, sand piper and kingfishers. Was only able to go about a mile south before being blocked be pile of downed trees. And that was with going over and through some downed trees. Going up the river, but stopped at the the Route 50 bridge. There was a place that was almost blocked about 1/2 mile up but was able to make it by to left. Don't know how much farther past Route 50 bridge we could have gone, but that was about .7 of a mile.
Dave G — Google review
The park has nice ponds but the walking trails needs to be cleaned up a lot there's also no street lights so I would recommend going during the day opposed to the evening. On the second gate going for there's no concise Trail. The first date to your left leads to the back of a swamp and when you passed there it's the back of the pond where you can kayak or canoe.
India E — Google review
Peaceful, beautiful, and not too populated! Came on a grey Sunday afternoon with my family and our dog and was one of maybe 3 groups there. Particularly pleased with how clean it was and how well-maintained the pathways were.
Kat B — Google review
Decent local spot to go wildlife viewing and/or bird watching; I've gotten a handful of bird pictures there. Always see people fishing there too. There are a few picnic tables around the main lake to eat at. Bring bug spray in the warmer seasons because the bugs are real bad. Without fail regardless of day or time, there is always some sketchy car parked there with someone just sitting/sleeping in it. Creeps me out whenever I go as I am typically alone.

First time there. Very pretty and well maintained baseball fields and a small playground. My wife reports the port-a-pots were pretty clean. That's high praise from her.

Nice fields. I did not see restrooms other than portables. Lots of lights for night games. Very quiet when I went. I can see how parking might be an issue. Modern playground for the kids.
Travis Z — Google review
The baseball fields are nice and well kept. The playground is average. For the size and number of the fields they should have more parking.
Amber E — Google review
Great playground for all sizes/ages!

Well maintained fields with decent seating. Parking is sufficient and the play ground is close enough to the fields for the little ones to run and play.

Really nice baseball park, just don't park near the diamond that's closest to the parking lot. Unless you want to give your insurance company some work to do.

10 years ago my son played on these fields...they are well maintained...laid out very well for viewing...and parking is accessible...now I am back with my nephews playing baseball and the fields are just as well maintained...like living the past over again with new players...

Buckingham Park is a charming neighborhood park with various amenities for families and individuals to enjoy. It features playgrounds for both younger and older children, making it an ideal spot for family outings. The park also offers walking paths, baseball fields, and a basketball court. While it may lack extensive shade, the park's cleanliness and beautiful surroundings make it a pleasant place to spend time outdoors. Additionally, many visitors appreciate using the park for dog walking due to its well-maintained environment.
A really nice neighborhood park. Very well maintained. All trees and grasses are kept up with. A couple of baseball fields, a soccer field, and basketball court as well. A couple of playgrounds for kids too. A nice walking trail around the perimeter of the park. Not the best for biking since the path is narrow, and youll need to avoid pedestrians. Still a nice place to take a stroll, or enjoy a warm afternoon.

Amusement park
Sky Zone Trampoline Park is a chain of indoor trampoline parks that offer a variety of activities such as freestyle bouncing, dodgeball, and fitness programs. Visitors have described it as an exhilarating experience with a buzzing atmosphere and friendly staff providing quick orientations. The park features a massive trampoline area for jumping and flipping. Guests have praised the well-maintained facility and highlighted the organized birthday parties as a major attraction.
My grandsons had a great time for their 6th birthday. The staff was friendly and helpful with the kids. Heavenly was especially nice and played with the kids. Tanya Finney

The first half of our time here was 4 stars, the second half 2. This is such a cool place but it 100% depends on who is working for how fun it will be. Like when you have lifeguards at the pool who suck out all the fun…the second half was like that. Lots of unnecessary whistle blowing (literally, they blow a whistle). The first half was SO fun! It’s nice they don’t make you buy their specific socks - we wore some from another trampoline park. There are a lot of options for what kids can do - there’s an indoor playground areas for the littles (and second half they started measuring kids and kicking out the tall 5-year-olds who are literally at the line, which felt unnecessary). There’s of course the trampolines, and the freestyle area has a netted area (which they said little kids can’t go to that side during the second half). It is harder to keep eyes on kids here because there’s so much to do but they have an upper deck where parents can watch - that’s nice! I prefer the trampoline parks that have more trampolines, and based on this experience I probably won’t go back to this one unless it’s for a party, but it was a pretty good experience. We came for a party - the pizza was good and service was great!

Sky Zone Bowie exceeded all expectations! With a plethora of trampoline activities, from dodgeball to freestyle jumping, there's never a dull moment. The facility is well-maintained and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The highlight was definitely the well-organized birthday party we attended – everything ran smoothly, from check-in to activities to food service. Highly recommend for a fun-filled day out!

My son and I both won stuffed animals and had a great time. If we lived here we would definitely come back. Loved the observation balcony for parents

Friendly staff and fairly safe atmosphere, definitely fun for the whole family or for an informal date night. Some spots could’ve been monitored better to prevent certain risks of accidents but nothing keeping an eye open can’t address! Definitely recommend for anyone! PS- leave your phone, wallets, keys and any loose items somewhere safe, it absolutely CAN get lost

My grandson had a ball. This was our Spring break outing. Fun, fun, fun. Loved 😍 it. Clean, the activity watchers of the children and the other young staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This was our first time at the Sky Zone, and I was impressed. Yes...yes... we will be back soon.

When you’re going on a block pit, I 99% do NOT recommend having your phone in your pocket. I once had this experience for my 12th birthday party and I almost lost my phone FOREVER! And there are a LOT of kids there. A lot of people, especially the staff were trying to find it. But a few minutes later, my cousin found it.

My experience on Wednesday, Lack of cleanliness , and no one wants to take their child around workers who won’t greet them back . Kidzden is a fantastic indoor play space that caters to children aged 18 months to around 5 years, making it an ideal spot for little ones to explore and have fun. Recently opened, the facility boasts a clean and well-maintained environment with friendly staff who are eager to help. For just $15 per child, families can enjoy unlimited playtime without any entry fee for adults—an excellent value!
There is a heat 🌊 wave so we needed an indoor play place for my grandson. This place is perfect. There are varying levels of play. He likes the ball pit. He jumped on the trampoline. Great place to play indoors.
Janice T — Google review
We had our daughters first birthday here over the weekend and I was highly disappointed. This establishment is not as advertised. The staff member at the front desk was rude and barely assisted with our party. She became visibility upset and stopped communicating with me and my guest when I expressed my concerns about the facility. The entry area is completely out of order and the shoe racks are mostly broken into pieces. The bathrooms are filthy, no soap or toilet tissue. The party room was dirty and smelly. It also had pin tacks all around the room which is an obvious safety hazard for kids. The play area is also visible dirty and you can tell it is not cleaned regularly. A lot of the equipment is patched up with tape. I’m sure this place is violating several health and safety standards.
Regine B — Google review
I love that it’s affordable, but you are definitely paying the right price for the place. I was hoping to like this place, but unfortunately, it was very unkept. The establishment really needs to work on the cleanliness (wiping down every hour, the smell, the look of the equipment - some equipment was held together by duct tape, etc). It is a kids play space, which breeds germs and I didn’t feel comfortable letting my little stay too long due to it. Hoping that can change so that we can go back.
Noelle C — Google review
I would NEVER go here again. Plain a simple. Very unorganized, late, and rude. First off when we got there, we had to wait in a small room and we were told we couldn’t bring anything in after we had already brought everything in because it was time for us to decorate our room. Some girl threw up, and all they did was wipe it up with paper towels, and didn’t disinfect. Toys are swings are broken, Swings are broken, Not safe for children at all. Very unhygienic. I wish I could give zero stars. I am so pissed I can’t even put it into words. No one was there to assist, We weren’t told the time that our party started in a room. We were rushed to eat, and only one person was able to get a slice of cake before we were kicked out. The head lady came in the middle of the kids eating cake and started vacuuming, hitting my family’s feet. I feel like it would be a good place to have parties if there were different people, more respectful people, the toys were fixed and time in between parties, to clean up and prepare for the next. They were overbooked, so wow one family was having a birthday party They would come in, and interrupt to kick them out and immediately bring in the next people no. No time in between. Not to mention, inexpensive pair of Jordans were stolen in a mist. No corporate number to call. Basically you don’t get your money worth. Attached photos is a slice of cake I was able to give out And her vacuuming in the middle of our purchased time.
Taleah B — Google review
Celebrated my daughter’s first birthday party here today. The decor set up was amazing. But unfortunately there was no “host” to assist with the party as stated in the package description. Juice boxes were not sat out I found them under the table, the pizza was cold by time it was time to eat. The front door didn’t work half the time so everyone had to use the side door in the party room which was right by the cake table. Let’s not forget it was hot as hell in the entire facility. 10/10 would not recommend for a party.
Miayana — Google review
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The staff member was so accommodating! We had one of the last parties of the day mainly! The party started at 6pm. Didn’t have to bring any decorations really, they decorated and it looked so beautiful! For the price, it was definitely worth it! We were given an amazing experience, my daughter and family enjoyed theirselves both little kids and adults! Everything went smoothly, everyone came in and were given wristbands for the party. Our pizza’s arrived at a decent time and we overall were able to enjoy our time in the room!! Definitely recommend this establishment and would go back again for another birthday party!
Kayla J — Google review
First time there. Place was bigger than I had imagined. It was clean and equipment seemed properly maintained and nothing was torn nor broken. There is no baby area. I'd say best for 18 months up to age 5. Not a place for school ages. Staff was friendly. Entrance was clean. Plenty of seating for adults to sit while kids play. We will return.
Sue C — Google review
Once a 5 star review. Unfortunately time, unprofessional staff, no maintenance, no cleanliness, and saftey issues nearly a year later make this a spot I no longer go. Did they just give up on this place? They obviously never wash surfaces. Food and trash can be found everywhere. Storage is underneath the slides, but they leave bags where children can access them in play areas. I had to move 3 jumbo bags of linen to keep them from the kids. Big saftey issues, the slides aren't bolted in correctly. With the gap between the slide and floor, my son got his foot caught. I had to run up and get this foot loose while calming him down. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Vacuum was just laying on the floor with the cord all over the place. Trash cans full. Considering we were the only customers during our two hour visit this was in acceptable. Broken equipment everywhere. The solo staff was arguring with a family member on her cell phone which was awkward. She kept saying she was busy at work but her butt never left her chair or phone. There was ample cleanup she could have been doing instead.

Nestled in Bowie, Foxhill Park is a delightful outdoor haven that caters to a variety of recreational activities. This park is particularly popular among pickleball enthusiasts who gather on the tennis courts, while sports fields attract diverse groups for various games. The park features an impressive covered pavilion and well-maintained restrooms, making it accessible and convenient for all visitors.
Beautiful park and walking trails near a turtle pond behind a subdivision. Highly recommend walking here during the day.
Lisa E — Google review
A wonderful park, a huge community of pickle ball players come together here to play on the tennis courts! Great sports fields, so many different groups gather at this park! The covered awning is awesome. The bathroom house makes this park work for every one. The bathroom, covered pavilion, playgrounds for both age groups and basket ball hoops are all accessible by a wide, flat concrete walkway. While parts of the park like the fields and stone bridge through the woods, wouldn't be wheelchair accessible, those are. Right on a wide path that goes from the middle school through parts of Bowie you'd pass the park as well as the pond down the hill.
Becky S — Google review
Has an Art Walk and is a hidden treasure. A mix of some hard surfaces like, a basketball court and picnic pavilion. It really is more ethereal. It has wild deer, trails that go deep through nature, lakeviews and Art. Great place to meditate, fly a kite, and enjoy Bowie's picturesque setting.
Jeroen P — Google review
Just stopped to stretch our legs and let the dog out. The park looked very nice and there were many people playing tennis on lit courts.

So much shade! 🙌🏻 The playground is split in half. One side is great for under 5, and the other is more obstacles with climbing structures, balance and rope items, a large slide, etc. There is a pavilion with picnic tables, trash cans, and ample parking. Public restrooms were surprisingly clean!
Victoria T — Google review
Very short hike and not much to see other than stone bridge. Poorly kept which was surprising considering the size of the park. Public restrooms are on site.

I don't know what's up with the lake but it's an eyesore so I took a star off for that. But the walking trail is great! Lots of trees and things. I would recommend playing music while you walk, or bring someone else as it can get mundane. Oh and 3 laps around should get you to around 3.5 miles of walking. Great form of exercise!

This sprawling park is enveloped by towering trees that provide ample shade, making it an ideal spot to escape the summer heat. With two playgrounds catering to different age groups—one featuring impressive slides for older kids and another designed for toddlers—there's something here for everyone. The park also boasts a tennis court and plenty of green space where children can run freely or engage in games.
Sprawling park underneath tall trees. Kids will love the two playgrounds. Safe area. There's a tennis court too. Lots of green space for kids to run around. Great place to chill and reflect. A path runs through the park making it optimal for runners and joggers cutting through to the next neighborhood.

Two playgrounds, one with two very large and exciting slides. The entire playground design is very appealing to 6-18 year olds, and the smaller one suits younger children and toddlers two. No restrooms. Surrounded by a thick row of trees, creating a peaceful, natural atmosphere. I wholeheartedly love this park.

Cozy little park in a quiet neighborhood next to a retirement community. Always clean and safe, there is a tennis court and walking trails here. They lead to the bike path, which takes you right to Hilltop Plaza
Lisa E — Google review
Nice and shady. Good area for the kids to play, but also... shady (as in sketchy). I went at a normally busy time and there were no other kids except for teenagers. At one point a sketchy looking guy started walking towars the park, saw me and my daughter playing then turned around and left. Pretty enclosed and private which isn't necessarily a good thing for moms and their little ones.
Heather ( — Google review
I would give it 5 stars but its becoming trashy and gross. I constantly pick up candy wrappers and popsicle wrappers and garbage from uncanny folks who clearly see the same trashcans that are 30 steps away. Im upset because my son goes there almost daily and myself and another parent pick up trash together. It's ONE group of unsupervised kids thier parents sit in the van .... which is ridiculous because the older kid is very disrespectful.

Pope's Creek Park is a beloved destination in Bowie, perfect for sports enthusiasts and outdoor lovers alike. This park boasts three expansive fields ideal for soccer, baseball, and other activities. With well-maintained grassy areas and minimal tree coverage, it's also a fantastic spot for flying RC airplanes. While there are picnic tables and a grill area to enjoy some outdoor cooking, the parking situation can be tricky—visitors often need to arrive early or find street parking nearby.
Great place I have been working out on the fields for years. Popes creak has two football/ soccer fields and a baseball diamond. The fields are usually outlined with chalk and grass is always cut. During the summer the field closes around 8pm.
Ryan W — Google review
Great soccer fields in two sizes. Some shade on the smaller field. It is also mostly bring your own seating. Awful parking.... Only enough limited parking for one game at a time. If two games are going on, or the next game is coming in. Be patient it will take a long time for your opportunity to get out.
Becky S — Google review
This is one of my favorite parks in Bowie and I visit it frequently. It has 3 large fields for soccer, baseball, etc. It has a couple picnic tables and a grill area and overall it’s a great place. If your into the RC hobby, it’s a great place to fly RC airplanes because of flat grassy areas and minimal tree coverage. They do have a porta-potty, but it’s not the best. The reason I gave it four stars and not five is because it’s not managed well. It’s closed when it’s supposed open most of the time or they decide to close the park early for whatever reason. So just be mindful when heading out, you may get disappointed.

This was a bit of a rough walk. The trail is not well worn. Some places you're avoiding beaver tunnels. Be careful.
Jennifer T — Google review
This is less a park and More in reality a boy scout troop project. It could be nice it is tranquil lots of wildlife I wouldn't bother coming here to fish though. The water weeds have totally taken over. Likely not a good balance of fish species...if any. You hear birds, frogs, see turtles. Scarce minnows in the shallows, no swimming bugs.
Kat A — Google review
It has changed. The 1st path trail walkway is now closed due to private property I guess someone bought or own the land now and it's off limit but it's still a nice place to visit because they trimmed the other walk trail area you can easily walk safer now .

I went here to fish. We did catch largemouth and crappie. It was way overgrown however. Lilly pads have taken over. Personally I would bring a picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy some family time. If you bring a pole, have a license. Park po’es are carding. Keep it real with them and they will keep it real with you. They are there to do their job. Grass is clean cut and there is also a path around all of it. The front where you park is a quarter the size of the back.

Great playground with ADA accessibility and parking. Basketball court and soccer field adjacent. Nice sitting areas for parents. Trash cans and a porta potty. Lots of learning activities sprinkled throughout and the squishy flooring felt nice under our feet.
Sean F — Google review
The design of the park seems like it would be fun for a 5-12 year old. However, I was looking for baby swings and although the park has swings they are far too large for swinging a baby. The playground is next to a school. I think perhaps the school kids take their snack break on the playground because there was quite a bit of trash, such as empty water bottles and lunch containers, in the area nearest to the school building. The playground needs some tlc. There is a nice swinging bench for adults.
Planit C — Google review
The Little Critter design is an Imagination Playground in Prince George's County. Good for a younger crowd (0-10 years old) who like exploring, interacting, and sliding. Great for accessibility challenges with plenty of interactions throughout. Multiple different objects to climb, scale, hang from, or walk across. Not necessarily a lot for older children but great for younger ones. Has (plastic) tire swing, traditional swings (regular and ADA), gliding seats, games, animal sound signs (not all work), benches, and a small table (for kids, not picnics). Bike and car parking next to it. Fields and basketball court adjacent. Equipment is in good condition. A description from the Imagination Playground brochure: "The Little Critter Playground is the first universally designed, fully accessible playground offered by M-NCPPC Parks and Recreation! Built adjacent to C. Elizabeth Rieg Regional School, it was designed with the special needs of these students in mind. From ramps and shade canopies to colorful and interactive soft surfacing, learning panels with animal sounds, and even a wheelchair-accessible double 'SwayFunGlider' swing, this park truly has it all!"
