Carrol's Creek Cafe is a renowned seafood spot in Annapolis, offering classic Chesapeake fare since 1983. Situated on the southern shore of Spa Creek, this elegant waterfront restaurant provides stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the city skyline.
Perfect for spring and summertime hangs. The amazing food, the great service, the water views, it all comes together for a great experience. Can be a little pricey for a handful of menu items but if you get a salad you will definitely get your value for money.

Now, when I tell you this place was a great gem, it was wonderful. My best friend and I truly had an amazing server in Barry. Extremely attentive and understanding to our needs. We did not have a reservation on a Friday evening but the host staff were able to seat us, and comfortably. The environment was warm and clean! If you get the sea scallops(appetizer), expect that it will look insane, only two scallops, but the flavor is there, in the sauce and under the bush of onions. The crab cake was a good balance of crab meat to filling. The old bay "chips" were Amazing. Fresh and crispy all the way through. The seafood pasta was lack luster but still had a great sauce to carry the entree. The only downside to this location was the amount of flies that we had to swat away being seated inside. Understanding that this location is on the water, and you have seafood, that might happen. I would surely recommend this place and have plans on returning.
Royall L — Google review
We had a lovely date night/early dinner on a Saturday evening. We enjoyed the water views from the porch and our server was wonderful. The food is always consistently good! We shared oysters, tuna tower appetizer, and the crab cakes and steak entrees. We will definitely be back!
Laurel B — Google review
There were friendly, helpful, attentive servers in a very nice setting with beautiful views of Spa Creek. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. The appetizer and all of our dishes were cooked to perfection. I very highly recommend Carrol’s Creek Cafe.

We dine here for our wedding anniversary today as a matter of fact. The ambience is pretty good. I like the atmosphere. We had the patio and you can see the water and the boats, that was awesome. Our waiter was awesome. His name was Anthony I believe. But the number one derogatory thing I would say our table was so wobbly that we had to put napkins on under two legs, so it would stop, but it was a decent restaurant. The food was pretty good. The only thing I would say it had to be seasoned a little better other than that it was a pretty good Experience
Ericsson S — Google review
My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at Carrol’s Creek Cafe, and I could not have been happier. I had no clue where he had planned for us to have dinner, I just knew that it was a location in Annapolis. From the minute we walked in to the quite inconspicuously located entrance, I was prepared for just about anything! But every single expectation was met, when we were seated outside, immediately next to Spa Creek and the Drawbridge; just in time to watch the entire sunset in all its glory. 🌅 The service, food and wine were all impeccable! I started with the house special - the Sea Scallops, and chose the Sautéed Shrimp and Crab Pasta for my main! Both of these were 10/10 and truly seasoned and prepared to perfection. There was no over seasoning, I could taste each and every one of these fresh ingredients in the pasta… From the grilled zucchini to the fresh lump crab, the cherry tomatoes and the lemon zest 🍋!! My husband had the Cream of Corn soup & the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, both of which he devoured! When my husband made the reservation, he made the note that it was an anniversary dinner, but perhaps they missed this on our reservation when we checked in? There were a few other tables with celebrations like birthdays, and they got a sweet card and that additional special treatment to complement the evening. But this was missed with us - but that's not such a big deal. What a memorable way to end our one year wedding anniversary! Looking forward to going back again, for hopefully more special occasions.

Absolutely fantastic food! Amazing dockside restaurant with view of the marina. The service is great, our waiter was top notch. Can't say enough about this place, a must when visiting Annapolis!

Food was good. We ordered the crab soup pretty thick, needed a little more flavor. Service was good. View is nice.

Located in the historic maritime district of Eastport, Boatyard Bar & Grill is a vibrant nautical-themed spot offering a wide range of seafood, including crab and oysters, as well as burgers, pizza, and a full bar. The interior exudes the charm of a classic yacht with white walls, mahogany accents, sea foam green ceilings, and wooden beams. It boasts an extensive raw bar featuring oysters, clams, shrimp, and mussels.
We celebrated my birthday here, and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was beyond delicious, especially the artichoke dip, calamari, soups, and oysters. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, and the staff made the experience even more special with their friendly and attentive service. It truly felt like a celebration. Highly recommend for any occasion or just a great meal by the water. Can’t wait to come back!
Nushaba A — Google review
We started with the crab dip, crab balls, and soup with half MD crab soup and half cream of crab. The crab dip was super good. The crab balls were really crispy with a nice amount of meat filling on the inside. The sauce with the crab balls was also pretty good. The soup was exactly what I wanted. It was a nice combo of bold flavors from the Md crab soup with the rich texture of cream of crab. For entrees, I got the boss burger which was basically a double bacon cheeseburger. My girlfriend got the crab dip sandwich. Our server Jenna was very nice and even made me my own spicy mayo for my fries. My burger was pretty good and my girlfriend liked her sandwich too. For dessert we got the butter cake and key lime pie. Both were absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend this place, particularly for a casual lunch.
Charles D — Google review
First time trying Boatyard and the vibe walking in was vibrant with a lot of ocean themed decor. We got a table within 10 mins even though they were extremely busy… The waitress also took our order relatively quickly. We ordered salmon salad, w/ a side of BBQ wings, goat cheese and arugula salad & a hot dog and fries. Honestly, it wasn’t anything special, but it’s an edible American version of sea food (comparing to Caribbean styled sea food which I grew up enjoying). That being said, it filled a belly. Will we willingly return… maybe…

These may have been the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. I loved the mashed potatoes and street corn as sides too. They were a large portion of crab meat, like they say free of fillers. They tasted fresh, and they were creamy, nice texture. The sailor’s mussels were amazing, I’m not even a huge fan of mussels, but these were good. My husband was very pleased with them. Jenna was our server and she took care of us. She was attentive and pleasant! The prices were right too.
Maria Z — Google review
I really enjoyed the Boatyard. I was by myself so I sat at the bar and chatted to the bar tender a bit. He was outstanding. I had Antione’s Oysters Rock for an app. They were PERFECT! Gobbled them up and then ate my crab cake sandwich with a couple of Boatyard largers which were also very good! Oh, and the toffee cake dessert was incredible too! Definitely a great spot! Fun atmosphere, friendly and fast service, and awesome food! I LOVE MARYLAND CRABCAKES!! Why can’t anyone else make them like they do??
Alistair T — Google review
If you’re ever in Annapolis, the Boatyard Bar & Grill is the real deal. From the moment you walk in, the energy feels alive. the service is on point even when the place is packed. It’s not quiet, but that’s part of the experience. It’s loud, it’s lively, and it feels like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Perfect spot for great food, good people, and that true Eastport waterfront charm. Highly recommend.
Jose Q — Google review
I couldn't ask for a better experience of Chesapeake Bay culture. The food is life changing. The atmosphere is spot on. The service is amazing. You can't go wrong eating here with food from deer to Wahoo. I'm not forgetting the "all kill, no fill" crab cakes. Sit down and enjoy!

the world’s best crab cakes are in annapolis. and boatyard grill has annapolis’ best crab cakes. beautifully large, with big lumps of good quality crab meat, and it’s all fresh- no added flavors but the crab’s natural goodness itself. this place is bucket list worthy, and the service is great- jenna was super kind and attentive!

Vin 909 Winecafe is a charming restaurant located in a converted bungalow in Annapolis' Eastport neighborhood. Since 2011, it has been serving delightful farm-to-table dishes and an impressive selection of wines. The menu offers a mix of American cuisine with hints of other cultures, featuring dishes like pan-fried rockfish with green chili curry broth and brick oven pizzas topped with spicy soppressata and wild boar meatballs.
The sauce from the steak went very well with the sandwiches. Eating the steak with the bread was also very decent. We also had a pizza which was good. The place is small but clean and cozy. We went for lunch and spent about 50+ bucks so that's a downside.

Let me just say this was THE SPOT, at 5pm sharp there was a line and people excited to sit down for wine and dine. I’ve never seen so many people at the door waiting for them to open. The staff was kind and efficient in getting everyone seated and served. Food was delicious, especially the pizza and desserts and the rose wine by the bottle was five stars. Parking onsite and out front on the street as well, but plan accordingly because it is popular and in demand. Indoor and outdoor seating and a fun bar wrap around as well. Great spot and experience.
Tim S — Google review
We waited an hour and 15 minutes for a table here in a random Tuesday night… and it was so worth it. I’ve been told many times to visit this quaint restaurant and I can now see why. We had the most wonderful server, I didn’t catch her name but truly she made our experience so so wonderful. The food was all delicious. Everything was reasonably priced as well… our table of 4 ended up with a bill under $200 and we had everything we wanted. Also clearly red wine is the way to go here, as every table was drinking red wine including ours. Next time I’ll ask for my pizza to be slightly more cooked since i like a bit more crispy crust but I wait to come back.

I knew this place was going to be good but I wasn't prepared for just HOW good it would be. The ingredients and food were very thoughtfully crafted and were high quality. It was all so fresh and this is some of the best pizza we've had in a very long time. I wish we lived closer so we could come more often, but next time I'm in Annapolis I will definitely be back! Also, I really loved the gorgeous garden out front!

Great find in Annapolis,MD! @vin909wine Looking for a spot to stop to get a bite eat last night but didn't want to go downtown. @vin909wine is a small neighborhood restaurant that gives you that hometown fill. This restaurant/wine bar. The staff here is very friendly and attentive to you and your guests. The food is fantastic to the taste, flavors, smells, and presentations! Everything that we tried was great and came out surprisingly quick. We tried the hummus, cast iron skirt steak, and 909 potstikers. The taste of all of them were absolutely fantastic! The cast iron skirt steak is served in a sauce and a side of bread. You're gonna what extra bread to soak up the extra spicy Moroccan sauce. The potstikers were nice and tender citrus ponzu sauce. (A sweet like dumpling sauce) The only thing I would have to say is be ready to order multiple things off of the menu. Everything is made to share. We end up ordering the Miss Piggy flatbread. A great brick oven taste, the flatbread look like and tasted like it was homemade. @vin909wine is definitely a place to stop by to check out for yourself! We will definitely be back!

Vin909 is hands down our favorite restaurant and has quite literally ruined us for eating elsewhere 🤣. It is always the top of our list for where we want to eat. The food is incredible, and dining here is the best value too, since it is not expensive for how amazing the dining experience is. The service always delivers, with staff like Becky who are genuine, nice, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure your meal is perfect. We went to the French Laundry recently and had a great experience, but Vin909 is still our favorite! My favorite meal as a vegetarian is definitely the risotto (any of the variations!), but the current burrata and the previous wildflower gnocchi are also top notch.
Kayla J — Google review
Really outstanding food! Appetizer of mozzarella with pesto and a bit of eggplant hiding under it. We had the spotted hog pizza with various pork products on it. I'm not sure what exactly made it taste so good, but it did. Based on reviews, I made sure we had room for dessert and it did not disappoint. Mine was the bread pudding - which the reviews said we should get. It was a delicious comfort dessert. Some might find it too sweet. He had the fruit crumble. It was supposed to be apple, but it tasted more tart like rhubarb so we were glad he'd also got a scoop of ice cream.

Very cool place. Worth getting a bottle of wine and waiting outside in the nice outside waiting area for your table to be ready. The pizza is a must.

Dimitri did an incredible job of making my birthday dinner this past weekend with my family super memorable. He was so friendly and had us laughing a lot. The bread, appretizers, wine and food are all incredible! It’s very worth it. They were very mindful of my tree nut allergy and I felt like there were good options for vegetarians.

What an elegant dining experience. From the hostess, to our waiter and servers, just excellent. I loved the decor and artwork of phenomenal Italian public figures. Fine dining lighting and soft, comforting music. The food and drinks were delicious. I recommend the grilled calamari and lobster bisque soup, amazing. There is a parking garage in walking distance for you to enjoy the beautiful downtown Annapolis scenery and ocean breeze.

Haven’t had a meal this perfect since pre-COVID! Everything was absolutely spot on! Cocktail, wine , food and service. It was so nice to finally have a meal that was spaced out perfectly and had plenty of time to enjoy! Since Covid we have felt so rushed out of a fantastic meal. This was wonderful! Lots of time to enjoy each course and great conversation! Definitely the best place in Annapolis!

We had such an amazing experience. Seven of us had dinner to celebrate two birthdays. Everything was top notch from start to finish. Our waiter from Sardaigne was charming, totally knowledgeable of the menu and his accent was so lovely. The setting is exquisite and perfect for large groups and good conversations. The food was delicious. This is definitely a great place for a celebration.

The prosciutto with melon, Caesar salad, wagyu ribeye, and Chilean seabass were all phenomenal. The seabass melted in my mouth and you could pull the ribeye apart with your fingers. The hostess was very helpful in getting us set up with our baby and there were tons of options that were suitable for my dietary restrictions. I didn’t get our server’s name but she was wonderful - very knowledgeable, very prompt, and super professional even when she was busy. This meal was a real treat! Oh and the aperol spritz was perfect.

Authentic Italian with superb service, selections and setting! The grilled calamari appetizer was so tender it cut with a fork. It was seasoned with just the right balsamic and olive oil. Branzino - a Mediterranean favorite of mine was the very best I’ve ever had - whole at the table, Gian Mario filleted it perfectly. I’ve been to Italy and craved their food all my life, now I can have it without the travel! Give them a go - you’ll not be disappointed! You will think you’re back in the old country. Italy, that is.

Lewnes' Steakhouse is a classic and upscale chophouse in Annapolis, offering prime aged beef and an extensive wine list. The restaurant boasts stately dining rooms with a traditional ambiance and attentive wait staff. It's the perfect spot for serious steak enthusiasts looking for melt-in-your-mouth cuts of ribeye, New York strips, and porterhouses.
Incredible service and overall vibes. We couldn’t get a table so we sat at the bar and it was Kentucky Derby day. We had so much fun! Tyson the bartender was so great and made the best drinks. The fish I had was amazing and my husband’s steak was top tier. We will for sure be back.

We dined here for my birthday. The charming and romantic atmosphere was perfect. Our attentive server provided just the right amount of service. The steak was a wonderful cut, perfectly medium-rare, but lacked seasoning and flavor. Adding salt improved it. I’d recommend a ribeye if you go here.
Adam K — Google review
Lewnes' Steakhouse in Annapolis is a true gem for steak enthusiasts. The steaks are exceptional—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite melts in your mouth, showcasing the quality of their USDA Prime beef. The ambiance is classic and inviting, making it an ideal spot for special occasions or a memorable night out. The service is attentive and professional, enhancing the overall dining experience. While the menu is steak-focused, they also offer a selection of seafood and appetizers that complement the main courses well. The wine list is extensive, providing excellent pairing options for your meal. OpenTable Overall, Lewnes' Steakhouse delivers a top-notch dining experience with its superb steaks, elegant atmosphere, and outstanding service.

The seafood bisque and yellow fin tuna were both excellent. The cowboy ribeye did not actually impress me, maybe I had high hopes given the $80 price tag, but it was not a great piece.
D K — Google review
We had a wonderful dining experience at Lewnes! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Despite arriving later than our reservation time, the manager, Marco, greeted us warmly and made sure we were still comfortably seated without any rush or inconvenience. His professionalism and hospitality really set the tone for the evening. The service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly, and the staff made excellent recommendations. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant. Thanks to Marco and the team for making our evening so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Stacy M — Google review
The only saving grace for this restaurant is the excellent service and ambiance. It’s unfortunate the food is utterly garbage. Literally the best thing I got here was the side of potatoes. The ribeye I received was chewy and had no flavor. I asked for medium rare and it was definitely blue. My friend had the NY strip and received a similar experience. The only decent steak was the filet which they kindly swapped with the NY strip. Who knew when going to a steakhouse you had to be careful on which steak to order! TLDR; Great service and ambiance, trash food. If you’re ordering steak I hope you like filets because all the other ones are hot garbage
Brandon ( — Google review
My dining experience at Lewnes' Steakhouse was first class, outstanding! Super professional service and exquisite cuisine, I would argue that they should be Michelin rated, absolutely. I eat out regularly and work in the industry, so have more than a bit of experience in the field. Service was best of the best! The interaction from the hostess to waiter and owner/manager was spot on. Courteous, insightful and respectful is name of the game at Lewnes'! Our waiter Mark knew how to entertain and walk us through our dining experience as this was our first time here. His explanations and suggestions were exceptional. The timing of drink and food was spot on, he even decanted the wine and let it breath as we finished our aperitif's. All the courses were delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller were the best I have ever had. For the main course I had the cowboy ribeye and my date had lamb chops. Both dishes were exceptional, I am very particular about temperature of my steak and the chef nailed it! Hats off to the chef. Also, we were greeted 3 times by the owner/GM, he introduced himself when we were checking in for our reservation, then twice came to our table to ensure our experience was perfect and it was. The ambiance is light and refreshing super positive with a bit of excitement amongst the patrons. Lewnes' Steakhouse is now officially my favorite, I suggest you make a reservation as soon as the opportunity presents.
John S — Google review
Lewnes is a family owned joint and it is a true gem.. They don’t come better than this! The traditional decor and cozy and quiet atmosphere take me back to an old school NY steakhouse. Friendly staff, great service, and an owner who takes the time to check in on guests and converse and share stories for a few moments is what separates this place from the others. And well, the stellar food of course. We took the servers recs for appetizers; oysters Rockefeller and crab balls. Both were great. The oysters were a good size, packed with flavor from the caramelized spinach. The cowboy ribeye was hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and the star of the show. Great crust, flavorful, juicy, it just melted like butter in my mouth. Order it medium rare+ and it was done perfectly! My wife’s petite filet was cooked perfectly as well. Was a great tasting filet that she had Oscar style with crabmeat and the sauce on the side. The sides were all solid and big enough to be shared amongst a few people. Mushrooms and asparagus were done simple, yet good. The cream of spinach was delicious, our favorite side! Creamy but yet not overly indulgent, and not salty. The “fries”, which are more like chips were great as well. Thin, crunchy, and perfectly salted. Make sure to leave room for dessert, you will be glad you did. The double fudge brownie sundae was a prefect end to this meal! The brownie was warm and gooey, but it was the top layer that did it for me. The crisp and crunchy top layer added a layer of textural contrast that made it perfect! I also had to try the Greek cheesecake after hearing it had feta in it, it intrigued me and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Was I glad I did, because it was just as good as the brownie sundae if not better. It was rich with a great cheesecake consistency, and could sense the feta in a way because the cheesecake itself wasn’t as sweet, balanced it well. The ginger snap crust was a bit dense and chewy in the best way and brought those warm spices that went so well with the cheesecake. Lewnes has a great family backstory, and Annapolis is fortunate to have an establishment like this. Looking forward to our future visits.

The menu features iconic dishes like Fish and Chips, Corned Beef Reuben, and Shepherds Pie for an authentic taste of Ireland.
Extraordinary Irish fare. I came in with a party of twenty unannounced and the staff jumped into action. Getting us all drinks and appetizers in no time. I had the Pot Roast which was phenomenal, but the flight of appetizers before that left me just wanting to eat them and forget about the entrees. The interior is 100 percent Irish Pub and the whole experience has put Galway Bay on my must-go-to, every time I am in Annapolis. Also, the number of Irish Whiskeys offered is like no other. I was looking for Redbreast, which is hard to come across and they have about ten different kinds. My entire party raved about their meals and the service.

So glad we stumbled upon this local treasure. Great Irish pub with an authentic feeling to it. I am so glad I chose the crab cakes. They were hands down the best I've had! Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was fantastic. I definitely recommend eating here while you visit Annapolis!

Always love dining here. Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is top notch. If you catch the times when live music is playing it is a wonderful relaxing place to hang out. I pop in here almost every time I am in Annapolis. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Zehra took excellent care of us and was super fast with everything. She also had a great personality. 😊 The food was really good and I have been to Ireland so I would say they did a great job. I had the potato leek soup and shrimp platter. Shepherd’s pie mac n cheese and fish & chips were also amazing according to my friends. This place is definitely one I will return to when we come back for the sailboat show. The chocolate mousse for dessert was also very decadent and rich. I recommend it. 🤤

Stop in after a afternoon of site seeing and shopping, for a quick snack and some drinks! Loved the live music! Service was very quickly and prompt! Had a variety of beers, shots and the fried pickles, and these were so freaking good!!! Highly recommend!!!

A little piece of Ireland right here! Having visited several pubs in Galway, I can honestly say this one captures the true Irish spirit perfectly. The ambiance is spot-on, warm, dimmed lighting, Irish background music, and that familiar cozy decoration that makes you feel instantly at home. The Guinness was excellent, just as smooth and rich as in Ireland, which is saying a lot! The food was a lovely surprise too, with even more variety on the menu than many places I tried in Galway. I had the cod, which was tender and perfectly cooked. The portion was a bit smaller than what I’ve had in Ireland, but the flavor was absolutely authentic that same delicious, crispy coating that makes fish and chips such a classic. Overall, it’s a truly great pub and a very worthwhile experience. For a moment, I really felt like I was back in Ireland! 🍀

Galway Bay is an Annapolis institution...a classic Irish pub serving delicious food like their exceptional Rueben and hand-battered fish and chips The creamy whiskey tomato soup is a treat. Reliably good for decades!

The food was amazing. I recommend getting the Ruben as it is extremely delicious. However, the umbrellas on the ceiling didn't cover the whole thing. Really recommend.

Chick & Ruth's Delly is a beloved diner located in downtown Annapolis, known for its classic American fare and lively atmosphere. The 55-year-old institution is adorned with vintage memorabilia, including hundreds of pictures of former politicians, Navy alums, and celebrities who have dined there. The menu features greasy-spoon breakfasts, piled-high sandwiches named after local politicians, and a variety of other delicious options such as pizzas and burgers.
Very cool place. Super casual spot with great food. We started with the crab dip which was pretty good. My girlfriend got the soup with half Maryland crab soup and half cream of crab and said it was pretty good. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was super crispy with good seasoning. The waffle was a Normal waffle but definitely not bad at all. The potatoes were decent. My girlfriend got the creamed beef and said it was pretty good. Service was good. The milkshakes looked nice but we were too full so we didn’t try those. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast

What a great gem! This place has been a staple since 1965, and you can really feel the cozy, nostalgic vibe as soon as you step in. The menu is extensive, with plenty of options to suit all tastes, there's something for everyone! The service is speedy and the servers are incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. One unique touch is the daily tradition of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at 8:30am (I witnessed it on Labor Day, at least!), it's a lovely way to start the day. The decor is also noteworthy, with an interesting collection of photos featuring MD governors and politicians. And if you're feeling adventurous, be sure to check out their infamous food challenge! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a warm, unique, and welcoming dining experience.

I looked around Annapolis for a massive crab cake on the menu, and that is exactly what I got when I came here! The cream of crab soup was very good although it was not a “lump” crab soup… still great though. It was very well seasoned. Just the right amount of salt. I think one thing that is not mentioned enough is how good, soft, and massive the poppy sees roll is! Perfectly buttered and toasted. When I added some crab cake to my roll and dipped it in my soup, it was eye-closing good!!! The crab mac and cheese was decent but nothing too special. The baked potato could have been cooked more. It was a little too firm for my liking. Nonetheless, it was an amazing meal I enjoyed very much! I’m sure I will be back!

I Can’t tell you how much I love the character of this place. Felt like I was transported back into the 1960’s. This place was bustling busy so me & the Mrs. ate at the counter. I went with what was considered the most popular item on the menu which was a jumbo lump crab cake, and I got a classic cheese steak & fries. Both were very delicious. If you happen to be in the Annapolis area, I highly suggest you stop in here. You won’t regret it. I didn’t have the breakfast menu but the plates coming out looked phenomenal.

This place is a local legend and deservedly so. I would say it's among my favorite Annapolis restaurants. There are a lot of options including the famous crab cakes and all-day breakfast. As a result it tends to be pretty busy and you may have to wait for a table if you come during peak hours, especially in the middle of tourist season. It is tight inside and I wouldn't recommend coming here with a group of more than 4 people. It is wheelchair accessible but only through the back alley door. I would recommend coming in the off-season like we did and after 1 pm. But we had a great time and the food was excellent, and we didn't have to wait long for it.

First time in Annapolis and tried to eat each meal somewhere new, but had to take a second trip here. I'm not sure how you can make pastrami taste like it's more than a deli sandwich but it was incredible. The Philly was pretty good, and great burgers. Tried the crab mac and cheese as well, I would say that was good, but everything else was great. Service was really good and the place had a really cool old deli vibe they should never change.

Made two trips. One to try the Super Duper Colossal Burger Challenge and once to try one of the many sandwiches. Fantastic atmosphere if you are looking for diner vibe! Great food. Had one of the hot pastrami sandwiches. Would highly recommend stopping by here.

O'Learys Seafood Restaurant is a beloved Annapolis establishment housed in a charming old building adorned with vibrant abstract art. Renowned for its upscale seafood offerings, this veteran hub consistently delivers delectable dishes and frequently features fresh fish specials that keep patrons coming back for more. While the restaurant offers solid seafood options, it's the creative and eclectic specials that truly shine.
Let me begin by saying this place was worth the 3.5-hour drive. I would definitely do it again! The food was fantastic. John, our server, was wonderful. I recommend this place 100%. As for the atmosphere, I was expecting to be by the bay; however, it was too small. Nevertheless, the quality of the food and the service weigh more to me than a little table space.

A very nice fine dining experience. Our server made us feel at home and the food makes us want to go back. The prices are on the high side and a credit card surcharge leaves a bad taste at the end of an expensive meal.
Craig H — Google review
My group of 12 had an amazing dinner here during our vacation to Annapolis. Despite the chaos of a party of 12 women celebrating their 40th birthdays, the server was patient and attentive. The food was delicious - not one complaint - and the cocktail selection was great as well. If we visit the area again, we’ll definitely be back.
C. K — Google review
Tasty food with a unique menu. Interesting cocktails (and mocktail options from those) and a varied wine list. Warm bread with a garlicky/chives butter was a great start to the meal. The Diver Scallops and Crispy Rockfish were excellent - and beautiful! And the brownie with raspberry sauce was phenomenal- could’ve fooled me that it was gluten free! Best of all the service was truly excellent- attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our experience!

We dined at O’Leary’s for old times sake last night. Food was just ok, nothing elevated. Salad was pedestrian, Buffalo oysters were just that - fried oyster tasting like buffalo wings. Crab cakes were great. The loser was shrimp and grits… see pic… small shrimp in a greasy mess. We had a poached pear for dessert which was good but it was the tiniest pear… with seeds and core. Service from the kitchen for the mains was very slow, absolutely lovely waitress apologized… her service was phenomenal. Guessing we won’t be back.

I was here for my anniversary, and it wasn't so bad, but just not sure I'd visit again. The food was okay. I had the whole fish selection.

This place is absolutely amazing! If I could give it 10 stars I would. It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. We got the fried oysters, the whole lobster with crab risotto and the Delmonico, as well as strawberry shortcake. Everything was mouthwatering, a huge step above an average great meal. It was so good in fact that we drove back a couple weeks later just for the restaurant. We live about 45 minutes away. It’s beautifully decorated and the service was top notch. Johnny is so professional, knowledgeable and also funny. O’Leary’s is the place to go if you want to be certain to have a wonderful dinner.
Shannon C — Google review
I wanted to really like O'Learys Seafood but it started with the seats for me. We are not the skinny people and the booth they set us at was very limiting. I didn't like it. The Menu is very limited. What I thought was odd is that everything was fried in the same grease???? Crabs, vegetables, and some people are allergic to crabs so they couldn't enjoy fried green tomatoes. The entree some didn't come with a starch and a vegetable which I don't understand. Most upscale restaurants have entrees with at least a starch and vegetables. I wasn't a fan of any of the cocktails on the list which I tasted 3 of them. I just had a glass of Chardonnay. My first entree I had to send back because the food was not hot and grease was sitting on my fish. The second one I had a whole fish. It was pan seared, one side was not all the way done. I was not happy but I did not send it back. It had a sauce of tomato and olives but no vegetables and starch. The best things were the warm bread. The dessert pudding and the coffee. Change how you cook vegetables options. And one biggie was the women's restroom, it was only one stall....can you believe that... A resturant like this with one ladies stall. Give some small salads if you have no vegetables like the bread. This place was expensive for what you get. I like my sauce on the side of my calamari.

Iron Rooster in Annapolis is a vibrant eatery that boasts stunning views of Ego Alley and offers an enticing all-day breakfast menu alongside classic American comfort food. Nestled near City Dock, this popular spot serves up delightful dishes like crispy bacon served in mason jars, Southern favorites such as chicken and waffles, Cajun fried shrimp, and fried green tomatoes. The menu also features local specialties like a crab hash bowl made with Maryland blue crab meat topped with fried eggs and Old Bay hollandaise.
Iron Rooster is probably the best place to have a brunch when you are visiting Annapolis. They also have a really nice outside sitting area. Everything on the menu is good; I really don't have any favorites, but what I definitely recommend is to try their fresh squeezed lemonade. Ask them what "kind" they can do for you, sometimes its a mango lemonade and sometimes its a cucumber lemonade. Whatever it is, just have it! Pics attached to give potential visitors an idea of what they serve!

My husband and I had a great breakfast here! There was a line outside but our wait was less than 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly and polite. Our server Amber was wonderful. I had the pineapple mimosa and waffle with eggs and bacon. My husband had crab Benedict. Both delicious. Definitely a must for breakfast or brunch.

Sat on the 2nd floor. We had reservations for 8 on a Saturday. Cameron was our waiter. He was amazing. I also had a Bloody Mary but drank it too fast for a pic. We all thought food and drink and service was amazing. Thank you so much. Pics are cakes on cakes. The waffle burger and the maple old fashioned (which needed a crispy bacon garnish) but still was delicious.

Must, must, must. The fresh-squeezed lemonade I’ve ever had. The classic staple here is the blackened chicken ravioli (delicious, creamy, rich in protein), but the honey Old Bay crispy chicken sandwich is legendary as well. If you want a taste of Maryland, the latter is phenomenal. I highly recommend sitting outside, even in hot weather. View is gorgeous, service is excellent (we were given free to-go waters) and food quality is SUPERB. Total bill for 2 entrees and 2 drinks? $50. 10/10.

Harry Browne's Restaurant is an upscale dining establishment located at the foot of the historic Maryland State House on State Circle. The restaurant offers a classic elegance and fine dining experience in an art deco ambiance, making it a popular choice for a romantic evening out. In addition to its elegant Main Dining Room, Harry Browne's also features a Sidewalk Cafe where patrons can enjoy casual brunch, lunch, or dinner outdoors during the summertime.
I had a wonderful dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pizza, and the martini was marvelous. The waitstaff was attentive and made sure everything was perfect. I sat out front and truly enjoyed the ambiance. Highly recommend! Update: since we stayed next door for the week during the sailboat show, this was our go-to restaurant. This is a great place to come and have a great home cooked meal. First of all - the owner and staff are genuinely nice people. And the drinks we had left me a bit tipsy (it's a good thing), but they were so well prepared. Every bite I had was better than the previous one. I will definitely be going back and this time we’ll sit at the bar, which is what we typically like to do when there is an option (there bar upstairs was pretty cool, by the way).
Juan C — Google review
Located directly across from the Maryland State House, Harry Browne’s Restaurant is a cornerstone of fine dining in Annapolis. With its rich history, elegant ambiance, and consistently outstanding cuisine, this establishment offers a complete and memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening, a weekend brunch, or a relaxing drink with friends, Harry Browne’s delivers on every level. Elegant Dining Downstairs The main dining room exudes classic sophistication. White tablecloths, historic decor, and views of State Circle create a timeless setting. The food here is exceptional—from the famous jumbo lump crab cakes (loaded with fresh crab and minimal filler) to the perfectly prepared rack of lamb, every dish is crafted with care and beautifully presented. Their brunch menu is equally impressive, offering selections like Crab Cake Benedict and Grand Marnier French Toast, all served with your choice of a mimosa, sparkling wine, or juice. The Hidden Gem: The Upstairs Bar While the main dining area shines in its elegance, the upstairs bar at Harry Browne’s is a hidden local favorite. With a more laid-back vibe than the formal dining room, it’s the perfect place to enjoy handcrafted cocktails, appetizers, or even a full meal in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The bar is stocked with a wide selection of spirits, local and imported beers, and an expertly curated wine list. Bartenders here are friendly, skilled, and always ready to make something special based on your tastes. The upstairs space often has live music, especially on weekends, creating a welcoming social scene that contrasts beautifully with the formality downstairs. It’s a great spot to unwind after exploring downtown Annapolis or to catch up with friends over drinks and small plates. Service That Shines The service at Harry Browne’s is top-tier, whether you’re in the dining room or upstairs at the bar. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable. They make every guest feel special—whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime regular. Final Thoughts Harry Browne’s Restaurant offers the best of both worlds: an elegant, historic dining experience downstairs and a lively, inviting bar scene upstairs. It’s a rare combination that caters to any occasion, making it a true Annapolis treasure. Whether you're looking for fine dining, a quiet brunch, or a casual evening cocktail, Harry Browne’s is always the right choice.

We just had my son’s rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Harry Browne’s. It was spectacular! We had 97 for the rehearsal dinner and 100 for the welcome party. The guests raved about the food and service. I live in New York and worked with Taylor, the event coordinator, by text and phone. She is incredible to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable and so accommodating. I’ve never thrown a party and was as relaxed as I was for this event all because of Taylor. If you want to have a 5 star celebration you need to have it at Harry Browne’s! The wait staff and bartenders were phenomenal! I highly recommend Harry Browne’s! It is exceptional!

We certainly enjoyed our 51st anniversary celebration meal. At our age we eat early. I got the impression that the staff wasn’t quite ready when we arrived because they hadn’t decided where we would be seated. So, we chose the window seat. Nonetheless we were well served. The white table cloth place settings made it feel special. The wine selection actually included a wine I love! We both loved the food. Best restaurant risotto I’ve ever had.

Level a Small Plates Lounge is an easygoing and romantic casual lounge located in Annapolis, offering eco-friendly New American small plates and creative cocktails. The venue features wood accents, exposed brick, and candlelight, creating a cozy atmosphere for patrons to enjoy. The menu includes a variety of small plates such as cheese selections, salads, soups, pizzas, and light entrees with prices ranging from $4 to $12.
We recently hosted a party at Level, and I can’t say enough great things about the experience! From the very start, working with Eric, the owner, was a breeze—he was incredibly informative, responsive to emails and texts, and made the planning process seamless. On the day of the event, a projected snowstorm had me very worried, especially since I had guests flying in from out of town that were here for my event. Christian, the event manager, was beyond reassuring. He explained that the restaurant is committed to staying open, even arranging transportation for staff when needed in bad weather. That level of dedication and teamwork truly stood out. While about half of my guest list had to cancel due to the weather, it didn’t impact the night at all. The atmosphere, food, and drink selection made up for everything. We even got to play our own playlist on their upstairs sound system, which added a personal touch. The staff was friendly, the bathrooms were spotless, and despite my last-minute changes to timing and seating, they accommodated everything with ease. Between their flexibility, responsiveness, and reasonable pricing, I’ll definitely keep Level as my go-to event space. And I have to mention—their cocktail selection is amazing! If you’re looking for a venue that truly cares about your experience, this is the place to book for an event or a date night!

This was my second time at Level lounge, and I was looking forward to this visit a bit more since I had an opentable dining certificate to redeem. My happy hour dinner started nice with their Short rib flatbread and Fried house pickles, and the flatbread was on point with all of its flavors working their magic. Spicy pork belly was a-ok: liked the sauce but the pork belly slices were pretty dry. Curried crab bruschetta was also a-ok. But my dessert, flourless brownie, ruined my meal. It seems to be outsourced and was one of the hardest brownies I have had. The bartender serving me was pretty attentive and pleasant to interact with. In spite of this mediocre dining experience, I look forward to returning here on my next Annapolis visit as my first visit was rather nice.

recently visited Level with friends – A Small Plates Lounge in the Annapolis area and had a wonderful experience. I tried several vegetarian dishes and was truly impressed. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put a lot of thought into their vegetarian options, not just as an afterthought but as a highlight of the menu. The ambiance was cozy and lively, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for creative and delicious vegetarian food in a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

The food and drinks are incredible, the only thing that took off a star was some of our food came almost 20 minutes after the rest, so we were all done eating when one person received their dinner. The cocktails are creative and delicious. Happy hour is generous (great specials on food and drinks before 6pm). We will return to try more!

We just hosted our daughter’s baby shower upstairs at Level, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The drinks were exceptional, the food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect—warm and cozy with exposed brick and charming string lights, yet still spacious and functional. We loved how the layout worked for us—we set the guys up near the bar in the back and the ladies up front. Everything came together beautifully, and the staff was truly first-class—attentive, kind, and on top of every detail. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Level enough. Lexi took care of my husband and I and was some of the best service we’ve ever had. Food was great, got the duck confit and it was mouthwatering. The chard was seasoned excellently and the duck was super flavorful and tender. The drinks were incredible as always. I asked Lexi to make me a bartenders choice drink which was DELICIOUS. The gimlet is an amazing standard, midshipmen torch was tasty and the strawberry fields was out of this world. If you want great food, service, and drinks then this is the place to go. I’ve been coming here for 13 years and it never disappoints

Ben’s After-Dinner Review: Post-meal cocktails at Level were the goddamn encore this place didn’t know it needed. Bartender Lexi? Savage. Full-on lab coat energy in a black tee, crafting drinks like she’s splitting atoms for flavor. Ask for the off-menu HGSI (if you’re in the know) Biopharma tribute. Hennessy. History in a coupe glass. Don’t ask too many questions. If she ask who you know, just say 'Dave Rubin' and nod like you belong. And the tequila cloud-ship? Bro. That smoky orb made my finger feel like it was entering a time loop. Hit smooth, finished loud. Come for the dinner, stay for Lexi. She doesn’t pour. she prescribes. 🍹🍸🧎‍♂️ Lexi. Forever.

It's considered a top-notch sushi destination, offering an exciting atmosphere where you can watch skilled chefs at work. Joss Cafe & Sushi Bar in Annapolis is outstanding! We celebrated our anniversary here, and the entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The food and the service were really good. If you order 7 rolls or more they will give you a boat. The sushi is worth the price. Amazing 🤩
Brenda Q — Google review
Food was overpriced (likely due to location and/or rent) and unmemorable. Our appetizer sampler came with a jumbo shrimp that was not deveined. We considered this unacceptable for the apparent quality and price they were charging. Brought it up to waitress but this was ignored by the restaurant. Fatty tuna roll didn't have much flavor and the garlic scallop roll didn't have much garlic flavor. Service was mediocre and slow despite the few lunch customers. Restaurant is showing age and the back left and upstairs is turning into storage space for various items.

I’m torn. This ‘is’ my recommended spot in the city for everyone to try the best sushi. Things change. Sure this California roll with blue fin was great, but the spot lacked energy at all dinner rush. It felt that the small shop I once adorned the warm welcome had become too big, too empty to stay the same and filled with too many hands performing too many distracting things for me to enjoy a visit.

Cute little Japanese & sushi bar in downtown Annapolis, Maryland. Really enjoyed the house cold sake. Was sweet & refreshing sake with very little bite. The tempura was cooked great, had a nice crisp. Finished off with a sushi platter that I picked out the rolls. The spicy scallop roll was my favorite.
C G — Google review
We ordered three different meals and all three were very disappointing. The roll was mostly rice, tofu was overcooked and greasy, salmon tartar didn’t taste fresh I am puzzled as we had a great meal a few years ago 🤦‍♀️ the place smelled bad, and they could care less if we ever came back or not.

I love Joss. Eating the best sushi I've ever had in the heart of downtown Annapolis is one of the best feelings in the world for someone who enjoys food. It's too bad that the service nosedive. Our server was Cindy and she absolutely destroyed our experience. She was cold and unwelcoming. She was rude. She talked down to us. Our drinks were awful and she wouldn't take them off of our check. Two out of the three rolls my husband ordered were wrong. She never fixed it. We wanted to leavew so we didn't even bother asking for a manager. We just paid and left. Joss is a wonderful place. But as long as Cindy is a server there, I have to question the management's judgement, because I will no longer set foot in there again if a possibility to have her as my server exists.
Laura L — Google review
My daughter, like many Midshipmen at the Naval Academy, swears by this place and often calls it her favorite spot for sushi. Tonight, while waiting to meet her for ice cream, my wife and I finally decided to see what all the buzz was about. From the moment our dishes arrived, it was clear why this place is such a favorite. The sushi was fresh, beautifully prepared, and every bite delivered the clean, delicate flavors you hope for in great sushi. The appetizers were just as impressive. The gyoza came with a savory sauce that was wonderfully balanced, though the standout for me was the fried tofu with garlic—the sauce that accompanied it was downright addictive. To round out our meal, we added tempura vegetables, which were light, crisp, and the perfect complement to the rest of the spread. It’s easy to see why my daughter and her friends love this spot. Great flavors, quality preparation, and a menu that keeps you wanting to come back for more.

Located in the charming Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, Davis' Pub has been a beloved local establishment since the 1920s. Renowned for its creative pub fare and famous crab cakes, this unpretentious neighborhood joint offers great prices and even has a special menu for dogs. The lively atmosphere and outstanding food make it a favorite among locals, earning it a spot in FLOHOM Voyagers Guide twice.
Delicious pub food, big portions and for a good price! I got the smoked Mac and cheese w blackened chicken, my husband got the cod and fries and we shared the potato skins. All of it was very good

Went for July 4th. Wonderful unassuming neighborhood gem in Annapolis by the marina. Love this place, and love the lovely bartenders. It's a perfect afternoon day drinking spot and turns up nicely in the eve. Beautiful people at the bar. Bravo!!

This is just a dive bar. I was excited when I heard the description for the crab pretzel being fluffy bread with crab meat on top, but much to my disappointment, this is just soggy bread with cream cheese and too much salt. The three staff members I attempted to communicate with seemed too busy and disconnected overall a horrible waste of time and money. If you want a real crab experience, there is a much better bar for sailors that is just two blocks to the northwest.

Spectacular pub. Awesome food, friendly staff, and a great selection of food. The pub tots were our favorite, but our entrees (a pulled pork sandwich and house salad) were also excellent. We live in Virginia, but will DEFINITELY be coming back! Additionally, the nearby area is very cute and nice to sit and enjoy the marina.

Wanted to like this place, and I guess for crab it was good. had crab cakes and fish/chips. The crab was really good. The fish (fried cod) was way over cooked and dry. Cole slaw not very tasty and the fries were very bland.

Disappointing Experience – Never Even Got to Try the Food or Sit Down! I’m from out of town and was excited to try this place after seeing online that it was dog-friendly. I brought my dog and planned to sit outside, but when I arrived, things were confusing right from the start. There were no clear signs about where to check in or wait to be seated. I politely asked a young female waitress outside if I should go in or wait there, but she didn’t greet me or seem friendly at all. She didn’t offer any estimated wait time or direction — just an unwelcoming attitude that really set the tone. There was also nowhere to wait for a table, which made things even more awkward. What made it worse was that this happened on a WEEKDAY / Thursday around 12:15 PM, not even during a lunch rush or weekend crowd. It was calm, so there’s really no excuse for such poor customer service! I ended up leaving and going somewhere else, so I can’t comment on the food. After reading other low/one-star reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s had issues with rude or unhelpful staff. Hopefully the management addresses this and improves how guests are greeted — and maybe adds some clearer signage for check-in, especially for outdoor seating!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Davis’s Pub is a fantastic spot in Annapolis that you absolutely have to check out! The fish and chips here are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, golden batter on the outside and perfectly flaky fish on the inside. The portion size is generous, and the fries are just the right amount of salty and crispy. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a real local charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed evening, Davis’s Pub is the place to be for delicious food and a great time. Highly recommend the fish and chips!

DRY 85 is a modern speakeasy with a 1920s vibe, offering an array of bourbon, beer, and refined American comfort food. The establishment boasts a trendy atmosphere and serves up cocktails like the Lavender Fields of Kentucky. Guests can enjoy their evening on the patio indulging in tacos, burgers, and specialty brews or partake in live music, karaoke, or trivia nights.
Highly recommend! Great service, coctails, and food. The atmosphere is perfectb. It's a little loud but appropriate. We loved the huge selection of prohibition era coctails and the bourbon specialties. Kelly served us. She was attentive and sweet. The food was fantastic. We had filet, ribs, scallops, and chicken & waffles. All were on point. The tots for the appetizer were perfect! Enjoy.

This place is great! I just don’t throw around 5 star reviews unless things are exceptionally great!😊 great cocktails, steak salad ( cooked to my temperature request) burgers and the hand cut truffle fries are great!!!! Go chat with the bartenders, learn about bourbon, try something new! I had a Rattlesnake rye, lemon juice, egg white and absinthe! Wonderful!

My type of bar, great bartenders making great cocktails. Excellent service and mixed drinks. Lots of fancy whiskey, higher prices ($15 per drink) but kinda consistent with Annapolis. Can get busy and slow at times. Great for bringing your buds, or your date out, or even stopping by solo dolo.
Roman N — Google review
Just returned from an awful Friday evening at Dry 85. The earlier reviews about poor service are sadly true. They are rightfully proud about the depth of their whisky and bourbon selection but cannot support it with their thin staff. My fiancée and I were planning to have a few rounds of drinks and dinner at the bar of Dry 85. Like some others who have reviewed here, the first round of drinks and appetizer arrived promptly but after that, the bartenders and waitstaff were non-existent. Getting another drink and more food took over 20 minutes. And people from the table had to go to the bat because their waiters were not showing up to take orders. What type of restaurant just leaves it customers out in the cold on a Friday night? Read the reviews and you'll see that is this happens a lot at Dry 85. After getting tired of waiting we paid our bill (the first time the staff actually were attentive) and left. Don't bother with Dry 85. Lots of hype at a high price point and bad management. There are plenty of better alternatives in Annapolis that treat their customers better...

Came to Dry 85 for a boozy brunch. I was not disappointed by the drinks at all. They have great cocktails; I especially love the big list of classic old school drinks. The donut bites were interesting. They tasted like mini corn/wheat fried donut ball. They were slightly over cooked which made the outside a bit harder than I would have liked. The steak and eggs was a great pile of tasty protein and a good value for the price. The garlic butter on top set it off. It's flank so make sure it's medium rare or rare be cause it's easy to overcook. The wait staff knew everything about their menu. They were super friendly and quick to help. Will come back soon!

Very tasty french onion, good Benedict with crab meat, nice drinks and deserts. I've been to many French places and I am definitely recommending this place! Extra kudos for the 🇺🇦 flag at the entrance 💙💛

My friend and I went here for brunch and it did not disappoint! I got the seafood omelette and it was amazing! The flavors worked so well together and the amount of seafood was fair for the price you pay. The home fries come with the meal and those were perfection. My friend ordered eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. She said it was tasty but not nearly as good as the apple cinnamon Belgian waffles she also got. If you go, which you should, make sure to order the bread. It’s delicious. Not your typical French baguette. It’s served warm with what seemed to be house made butter. 10/10 would go again!

Escargot is highly recommended: served classically, no add-ons that ruin the flavor. Just escargots, butter and garlic. Among the drinks, Normandie Fizzes are fine, the elderflower one is sweeter than the pomegranate one.

Excellent Veal Normandie, Duck in raspberry sauce, Crepe Suzanne and Creme Brulee very good too. Top quality cuisine and service is what you pay for and appreciate here. Highly recommended, perhaps the best cuisine in Maryland. 10/11/22. Incredibly consistent. Still highly recommended. 02/14/22. We chose lunch on one of the worst days in the year to test a restaurant. Turned up 20 mins before the booking. Seated immediately. They seem very short of staff but this hardly impacted service much at all. They all work really hard. Excellent and patient service from Matthew. Shared a starter Charcuterie which was excellent. Chose the day's special Pork Osso buco (Italian recipe ;-). Superbly cooked. Meat fell off the bone. Sauce really good, and the tagliatelle shone through a beautifully balanced, and large dish. Yes they charge for bread, but what bread... Get some! We had two portions! Profiteroles were a tad delayed so I suspect my portion was a bit bigger than usual... ;-) 7/19/25 Another excellent visit. Lovely recommended Coc au Vin. Veal medallions in lemon butter sauce was superb. Tagliatelle cooked and served to perfection. I had another Crepe Suzanne and it was a huge desert. My wife had another crepe with caramel and it was just as huge. Staff caught unaware by a sudden influx of customers. Tatiana and the others all worked extremely hard. As soon as they saw daylight they recapped to make sure everyone had what they wanted. I noticed that their lunch menu has something for everyone at just about any price range. Still highly recommended. 5 Pictures att.

Special mention to Lou-Anne who provided an impeccable service my friend & I last Saturday. Everything we ordered tasted really good & the memorable ones are the Escargots, Annapolis 22, Tomato Bisque w/ Crabs, Soft Shell Crab with Almonds, Duck Mousse, House Salad. This place carries a good variety of wine, too. Needless to say, the best Tiramisu I've ever had in Maryland so far came from this place. I like the fact that the sauce & seasoning of everything w ordered did not overpower the natural flavor of the food. Moreover, in any restaurant, the server plays a major role in the overall experience. Lou-Anne, thank you.

Reynolds Tavern and 1747 Pub is a unique and elegant Georgian-style inn located in Annapolis, Maryland. The pub, situated downstairs in the original kitchen and Hat Shop of founder William Reynolds, exudes a cellar vibe with connected underground rooms featuring stone and brick walls, original stairs from 1737, short ceilings, brick flooring, and a fireplace. The tavern has been operating since 1747 under various names like The Beaver and Lacd Hat.
Came here with a few of my girlfriends on a Thursday night. It was decently busy but nothing too bad which we liked, and it really is just a cute hidden gem in Annapolis. It is secluded and quiet but so lively and enjoyable. The atmosphere really is good and they were having live music which was so nice. Food was good and service was good. 10/10 for atmosphere!
Dani S — Google review
The atmosphere in the beer garden is spectacular! The music, especially B.en is terrific! The food is good. Then it goes south quickly. The management, if there truly is any, is a big zero. The staff doesn’t seem to last long and always overwhelmed. It’s a shame with such a great setting they can’t figure things out! We are frequent visitors over the years and wonder why we come back - but it’s the great setting and music outside. Just have the mind set that it’s going to be chaotic and you’ll see staff standing around trying to figure things out. Hopefully someone steps in and turns it around - I know there’s newer owners and somehow it’s gotten worse.
Denny J — Google review
We chose this location because we had been to the pub downstairs during previous visits to Annapolis and the history intrigued us and the service at the pub was always great (Matt was wonderful). The room we stayed in, The Jefferson room, was facing the street so at night you heard all the street noise. The room was old, which we expected it to be themed as such, however, the rugs were so stained and walls look very dingy. While I understand the room is to look dated, looking dirty is another story. Then on top of it, the service was not quality. The wait staff/hostess were not on top of it. The beer garden staff was great...but the inside staff could have done better. I think overall for the money the customer service inside could have been better. Side note, MATT at the Beer Garden is super cool and very attentive to his customers. We loved him!

I had high hopes for this place being in annapolis but for tea they didn't have as many teas to choose from as I thought. And I couldn't understand my waitress at all who disappeared so we were just left sitting. The sandwiches r very plain . Soup was ok very peppery french onion. I prefer the kate pearl tea room. Its so much prettier and the food is made by an actual chef the sandwiches are so delicious and cute with a variety. And for Royal tea you get charcuterie board soup salad and specialty glittery drink along with scone delicious sandwiches and savories and ice cream at the end with a pearl. This tavern is probably better for beer and lunch. Also the people eating lunch are in the room for tea as well. Parking you have to walk down a hill to get to. The snacks for tea were meh. Ok visit but once was enough

The Reynolds tavern has Rustic Charm, But avoid It if you have kids. I recently visited Reynolds Cafe with my 7-year-old, hoping for a pleasant lunch. While the rustic, old-fashioned decor is truly warm and inviting, creating a lovely ambiance, our overall experience was severely hampered by service issues and a significant lack of family-friendliness. First, the "patronage" (customer vibe) felt quite unwelcoming, which was a surprising contrast to the decor. More importantly, they do not offer a kids' menu. I requested a grilled cheese and fries for my child, which, while off-menu and enjoyed by my son, cost an astounding $11. Add an $8 lemonade to that, and I paid $19 for a single kids' meal – definitely overpriced. The service was also quite poor from the moment we arrived. The host seemed actively to discourage us from staying, mentioning a 15-minute wait for indoor seating and an additional wait for the outdoor patio. We were about to leave when the owner (a kind woman) intervened and we were eventually seated in a lovely upper outdoor area with white tablecloths. However, our waitress was inattentive, offering only one drink refill throughout our meal. To top it off, I noticed a few ants crawling on our table. On the positive side, my salmon gyro was genuinely very good, and as mentioned, my child did enjoy his expensive grilled cheese. Honestly, if the service had been better and they had reasonable kids' menu options, this place could easily be a 4/5 or even a 5 if there were not any ants on my table. But for families, the current experience is not ideal. If you have children, I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant.

Every time we visit Annapolis, we make it a point to stop at Reynolds Tavern—and it never disappoints. Nestled right in the heart of historic downtown, this charming spot is truly one of the most memorable and unique dining experiences in the city. The moment you step onto the property, you're transported to another era. The historic setting, with its 18th-century architecture, candlelit tables, and period decor, makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It’s the kind of place where you slow down, appreciate your surroundings, and enjoy the experience as much as the food. Whether you’re seated in the cozy tavern rooms, the beautiful outdoor courtyard, or having afternoon tea upstairs, the ambiance is always perfect. There’s a warm, welcoming charm that wraps around you—from the creaking floors and antique chandeliers to the friendly, attentive staff who seem to genuinely enjoy sharing the history of the building. Now, onto the food—consistently excellent. Their afternoon tea service is outstanding, with fresh scones, delicate sandwiches, and a wide selection of flavorful teas served in elegant teapots. But even beyond tea, the main menu is full of delicious, thoughtfully prepared dishes. The crab cakes and pot pies are local favorites, and I’ve never had a meal here that was anything less than wonderful. We’ve come for both lunch and dinner, and each time the service has been professional and friendly without feeling rushed. The staff strikes that perfect balance of being attentive while letting you enjoy the experience at your own pace. Reynolds Tavern is not just a meal—it’s a step into Annapolis’ rich history, served with charm and grace. Whether you're a history buff, a food lover, or just someone who enjoys a peaceful and refined setting, this place will absolutely leave a lasting impression. Every time we return, we’re reminded why it has become one of our favorite stops in the city. It’s tradition now—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Staff were very kind and attentive and the place was cute! I thought the high tea was a little pricey for the portion sizes but the savory teas great! The menu features options such as burgers, flatbreads, seafood dishes, vegan burgers, soups, and more.
I had the delight of dining in on a Saturday afternoon for their brunch menu. I ordered the avocado toast. The whole wheat bread was perfectly toasted and the eggs were cooked to a beautiful over medium. The avocado, cherry tomatoes and basil were so fresh and the balsamic reduction brought the whole dish together. You get a choice of home fries, grits or fruit and I went with the home fries and they were so good. The potatoes were fork tender and had just the right amount of crispiness. Not overly seasoned and tasted amazing dipped into the yolk of the egg. The staff were an absolute delight and were happy to offer recommendations on dishes. Our bellies were happy and our glasses stayed full. Will definitely be dining there again.

As I sit here finishing my meal with a friend, we're both reflecting on how great everything has been during our visit to this restaurant, which we chose to celebrate her birthday. From the food to the service to the overall atmosphere, it has been an exceptional experience. Food & Drink: We sampled a variety of dishes, including the charcuterie board, Brussels sprouts, miso-glazed salmon, lamb lollipops, and a spinach salad. Every dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection – we genuinely had no complaints. The drinks were equally impressive, with each one being well-balanced and delicious. Service: Kim, our server, was outstanding. She was attentive, patient with our questions, and provided thoughtful recommendations that made our experience even better. Chris also stopped by to check on us several times, which added a nice touch of care to our meal. Atmosphere: The restaurant had a charming vibe, and the music was just right. It was loud enough to set the mood but quiet enough for us to carry on our conversation without any trouble. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back again to check out the rooftop!

Second time going here for brunch. I had the breakfast tacos last time and the hash with no ham this time around. Both good but I think the hash just has more flavor and seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were delicious!! Bottomless mimosas are really good as well. Would for sure recommend. Appreciate labeling gluten free options.

Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge is a reliable choice in downtown Annapolis with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. I loved the rockfish — it was fresh, flaky, and seasoned just right, easily the highlight of the meal. The pork belly, unfortunately, was overcooked and didn’t live up to expectations, which was a bit of a letdown. Even so, with dishes like the rockfish, it’s worth returning to see what else the kitchen does well. There's also rooftop dining which is pretty cool as well.

Located on West Street in Annapolis, Maryland, this locally-owned watering hole may be small but it overflows with character and tasty small plates paired thoughtfully with craft beers and wines.
We’ve visited Sailor Oyster Bar many times, and each experience leaves us excited to return. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday. There was no room for us downstairs so we sat upstairs; it was our first time there, and we enjoyed it, though I still prefer the vibe and atmosphere downstairs. The upstairs does offer its own bar and bathroom, which is convenient. We always order the special of the day, and the oysters were as delicious as ever. We tried a variety of dishes, and every bite was fantastic. The attentive staff, top-quality and creative food, great drinks, inviting atmosphere, and excellent happy hour prices are what keep us coming back. Keep up the amazing work, S.O.B.!

Five stars all around! I had such a lovely experience at Sailor Oyster Bar. The oysters were incredibly fresh—clean, briny, and beautifully presented. I followed that up with the smoked whitefish dip, which was creamy, smoky, and totally hit the spot. I also had some of the best dirty martinis I’ve had in a while—perfectly chilled and just the right amount of salty. I sat at the bar and was taken care of by Avery, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is chill, stylish, and relaxed—great for anyone who appreciates high-quality seafood in a laid-back setting. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Annapolis!

Worth the walk from downtown! It’s a neighborhood raw bar - less tourists & more locals. We came at 4:30 on a Saturday and they were already busy. Oysters and shrimp cocktail were great. Leo Annapolis is a charming, locally sourced restaurant that offers a wonderful dining experience. The owners are accommodating and understanding of special dietary needs, making sure to provide various menu options that fit specific diets. The food is outstanding, with dishes like hummus, pork belly, pan-seared chicken, and coulotte steak receiving high praise for their delicious flavors and perfect preparation. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff members like Hilary and Ella providing excellent guidance on the menu.
It's been ages since I reviewed a restaurant, but Leo earned it. Stepping in for date night, the warm, minimalist vibe instantly explained their high rating. Perfect for couples, it was relaxed yet sophisticated. Service was top-notch; attentive and efficient, our server knew the menu well, giving great recommendations. Passion shone through. The food? Amazing. Duck was perfect: crispy skin, tender meat, balanced flavors. High-quality ingredients and detail were obvious in every bite. Even the bar nailed it, crafting a perfect off-menu cocktail. Leo surpassed expectations. We'll be back!

First time visiting Leo’s and it did not disappoint! Loved the atmosphere, service was great, and the food was absolutely amazing!! I got the mushroom pasta dish and my friend got the steak and fries, we paired it with an Italian red wine (it was sooo good!). Probably one of the best vegetarian pasta dishes I have had in a while— it was flavorful and fresh, portion size was great too. For dessert we had the banana pudding cheesecake, it was not too sweet or heavy, which is what I like. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you enjoy amazing food and service.

Foodies, finally a dining experience worth sharing in Annapolis!! My daughter and I visited yesterday @ 5:30 pm. By the time we left it was nearly full (on a Tuesday), so obviously others have discovered how special Leo is. First, the cocktails were delicious (GnA and a gimlet)! We began with the squash and burrata with focaccia, which was perfect and told us we were in for many happy mouthfuls. Being a vegetarian, I had the mushroom ragout, which I understand is one of the chef’s faves, and it was fabulous! My daughter chose the smashburger. She LOVED it, and I can attest that the fries are fantastic. The brussels side was top three I’ve had in as many years — just so flavorful. We ended with the PB mousse and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Don’t know whose ice cream they use, but it was amazing. Best dining experience I’ve ever had in Annapolis. There are seafood dishes if that’s your fancy, and I’m sure they are yummy too.

Best food I’ve had in the longest time. Their duck was outstanding, wine was amazing. Our server, Emmett, recommended dishes and the wine we had, which is what made the entire experience. He was top tier and the meal matched!! Can’t wait to come back. And get the butternut squash appetizer!

10/10 First impression - the place is stylish, elegant, and yet cozy. I was welcomed with a big smile from the host. Dining alone, I opted to eat at the bar. The bartender was friendly as I inquired about a bubbly mocktail. He suggested Take It To Darrell’s, and boy was that delicious (greedy me would have preferred a bigger glass). My curiosity was piqued with the Golden Crispy Grits. A+ on creativity and execution. It was very unique to a Seattleite like me. However, the spotlight ultimately goes to the Snakehead dish. My oh my, I love the symphony of different flavors and textures: the sweetness from the corn, the freshness of the cherry tomatoes, the snakehead cooked right, the sauces, to the micro cilantro for a well-rounded meal. I finished the night with the Peanut Butter Mouse guilt-free (it’s vegan, yay!). The staff was warm and attentive. I felt special that night. I was treated like it was my birthday. Given it was a quiet late Monday night, but I can only imagine it would be extra special if you’re celebrating an occasion. My only predicament after I dined with Leo Annapolis is that I live in the West Coast. I still reminisce about my dining experience there. I can't wait to go back to Baltimore and try the other dishes!

We can’t wait to come back. The steak was unbelievably tender . The peppercorn sauce was delicious and my gimlet was perfection. We also got the focaccia with lemon garlic butter and the Brussel sprouts which were both gone before I took a picture .
Josie H — Google review
The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was engaging. Overall, the service was good and they have a nice selection of wines. I started with the Crispy Grits. They were amazing as was the aioli served with the grits. My only critique, remove the paper napkin from the plate. It get moist and sticks to the grits. For my Main, I had a disappointing Coulotte Steak (1 star). I was presented a dinner plate with french fries piled high and a small side of Coulotte Steak smothered in a bland sauce. The few pieces of steak were very small, sliced too thin and the entire dish was room temperature. Had it not been for this, I would have given Leo 5 stars.

Chart House Prime in Annapolis, MD is a high-end chain eatery known for its top-notch seafood and steakhouse fare. Situated on Spa Creek, the restaurant offers stunning waterfront views and an inviting interior following a million-dollar remodel. It's a popular spot for happy hour and provides a great vantage point to enjoy on-water events like sailboat racing and the Blue Angels air show.
We got half a dozen oysters and the schooner seafood tower for the three of us. The meal was delicious. We also got the best salad and two bowls of cream of crab. The schooner in my opinion is more like for 2.5 people rather than 3 to 4. Without soup and beet salad it would not have been enough. I had a special request for three of us attending and not only did they set us up with an amazing table, the waitress also followed up on the status if the auspicious event! I have rarely have such amazing service! We will definitely revisit!

We came here for our anniversary, and overall it was fine but nothing memorable. The food was good, but it didn’t really stand out. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly, though she was okay and got the job done. For a special occasion, I expected a bit more in terms of service and atmosphere.
Vanessa R — Google review
What a delightful evening we had celebrating our anniversary. The service was attentive and the atmosphere romantic with beautiful views of the Spa Creek. I had the SHELLFISH LINGUINE which was loaded with lobster | shrimp | mussels | clams | scallops garlic butter | bone marrow toast all in a broth that was seasoned just enough to bring out the flavors of the shellfish. I started with a cup of NE Clam Chowder which was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was thick with clams, creamy and with a light savory flavor. I would highly recommend Chart House Prime for a wonderful evening out.

Today we came to the second time, and since we really liked it the first time, we came again to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in Annapolis. We also brought some friends from D.C. to this lovely restaurant we had enjoyed before. However, one of the servers — her name was Alicia or Eliza , I believe — behaved quite rudely from the beginning. When we politely asked for a few things, she responded with a harsh attitude. There wasn’t necessarily anything racist, but she was extremely impolite. For example, when we asked for ekstra hot water for tea, she replied disrespectfully, saying, “I only have two hands.” Thıs not acceptable!!! It completely ruined our mood. Although the manager later came over, apologized, and offered us complimentary desserts, the experience was already spoiled. It’s very disappointing that such a beautiful and elegant restaurant — one that encourages formal attire — allows such unprofessional service. It was truly a big disappointment and an upsetting day for us. We wont be back!! After coming home, I checked whether the issue we experienced was unique to us or if others had similar problems. Bu I found several reviews mentioning rude service and unprofessional behavior from the waitstaff. Clearly, this is not an isolated incident, and the management needs to address and correct this situation immediately. Don’t let poor service ruin your day — especially when you’re paying premium prices and expecting a fine dining experience!

This was one of the nicest restaurants I’ve been to in my life, and I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. As soon as we got there, I was very impressed by all the wine on display. We were seated in a large semi circle booth that seemed like an interesting choice considering I was only with one person. It was comfortable and had a decent view of the water though. The windows make it very easy to see the water. I got the cherry palmer which was basically a cherry ice tea lemonade, and it was pretty good. My girlfriend also liked her drink. We started with the crab dip, belly and the beast (octopus and pork belly), and cream of crab. The belly and the beast was presented very nicely. The octopus was an amazing tender, and I usually don’t like octopus. The pork belly was delicious and very crispy. The cream of crab was super thick and had a lot of actual crab meat. The crab dip was one of the best crab dips I’ve ever had. The flavor of it was amazing and there was so much crab meat. A large part of what made it so good was the bread. It was the perfect texture and there was butter inside of each little slice. We ended up also getting the bread service which was pretty good. The 3 accompaniments were regular butter, pesto sauce, and a honey old bay butter. The honey old bay butter was especially great. For my entree I got the New York strip, which I think was listed as 16 oz. I chose to get the bone Marrow butter on it. The way they serve it is super cool. The guy literally torches the bone marrow on to the steak right in front of you. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, as I ordered. It was very high quality meat. One of the better steaks I’ve had. The bone marrow butter made it noticeably more rich and fatty. My girlfriend got the seafood pasta, which was a massive portion as well with a great amount of sea food. The bread with it was very good, especially with the white wine sauce in the pasta. She really liked it. We also shared a side of the lobster risotto which was pretty good. I also got the faux-jito mocktail which was basically a non alcoholic mojito with some fruits. Very good and refreshing though. For dessert we got the crème brûlée tasting. The flavors were vanilla, strawberry rose, and orange. They were all so good and super thick and rich. The service was super friendly, while also being professional. Our server gio was great. Definitely recommend this place if you’re anywhere near Annapolis

We have been to this so called "fine dining place-casual attire required" 2 times. At first we like the atmosphere and the waiter attitudes toward us and the service. Food was ok. We tried calamari, chopped salad the "eye of the ribeye" hoping that we would have the most delicious steak, unfortunately the small portion meat came with some burned outside and raw inside. Having this experience we still like the atmosphere and decided to visit again with our friends. Unfortunately, the second experince was worse that the first one. The young waitress (named Elysa or Alicia) was rude and unwilling to service from the beginning. The last point which made us really angry; when ever we asked for extra hot water for tea, she responded rude and angry "I have just 2 hands etc..." Whenever we talked to the manager, she gave her apologies and offered the desert on the house. But the waitress already spoiled the vibe. it is unfortunate to encounter waiters/waitresses who display uncontrolled emotional reactions and disturbing attitudes towards guests in a restaurant like this. Since this was a bad experience for all of us, my review is 1 star and I dont think we will go this restaurant again.

1st time at the Chart House. Per usual for an Annapolis location, the parking was sparse. Location was amazing, It's actually its own wharf with boats tied up on the starboard side and 30 foot ceilings with incredible nautical views out the spacious windows. Our server Brady was just the right touch of are guys good plus Ill leave you guys alone to enjoy your meal kinda dude. Very knowledgeable about the menu as well. The food...oh my the food. I had the crispy escargot on mushrooms and they were the best I've had since my cruise in 2015. My wife had a ceasar salad which comes in an edibe parmesean bowl. She got a crab cake app to go w the salad and the bite I had was incredible. I had the seafood pasta which had clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops and lobster in a reddish sauce that was equally amazing on its own dunked in the homade bread. Half of that I brought home. Lastly, we split a dessert - mud pie - with coffee ice cream and crunchy oreo bottom. Looking forward to returning soon and you can use their reservation service to save your seats before you get there as it's only going to get more crowded as summer moves in.

3.5 — The service was incredible and the restaurant’s views are absolutely beautiful. We loved our cocktails and truly can’t say enough great things about the staff. However, the food just really let us down — especially for the price (our meal was over $200). I will happily spend a lot of money on food and not blink, but I left feeling disappointed. The complimentary bread and herb oil and honey Old Bay butter was AMAZING. However, that’s about the only thing I had that blew me away. Oh, and the cream of crab soup was delicious. The Rocket Man sushi roll we got was fine. The belly and the beast had tasty pickled peppers but most of the pork belly was too fatty and chewy and most of the plate was filled with garnish. My blackened king salmon was a generous portion but it was so bland and pretty dry and served atop a bed of vegetable cous cous that reminded me of a Lean Cuisine. The lobster risotto was OK and kind of tasted like it was from a chain restaurant. My husband’s ribeye was tasty enough. The mushrooms we got on the side also had a nice flavor but felt pricey. The views from our table and the inside of the restaurant were absolutely STUNNING especially at sunset and the staff couldn’t have been lovelier and more on the ball, but I really don’t think the food was worth the price. If you go, definitely make a reservation and check out the cocktail menu.

Miss Shirley's Cafe is a cozy restaurant that serves up creative American dishes with a regional twist for breakfast and lunch. It's a great choice for families, offering a kids menu with customizable options like Mini Belgian Waffles and Half Dollar Pancakes. The regular menu features Southern-inspired items such as Chicken n Cheddar Green Onion Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, and unique French Toast of the Month selections.
Quaint place with a convenient location just past the bridge. There is street and affordable garage parking. Lots of seating but I recommend timing right on weekends as it’s popular. The service was attentive and helpful. Clearly defined dishes so no one accidentally ate allergens. The only downside I would say it’s it’s a bit pricey. The shrimp and grits were smaller than expected and cost $27. The drinks were good and just the right amount of strong. The interior is nice but it’s not a super “unique” interior, it’s more about quality of food. The hot honey chicken dishes are a MUST.

I took my two kids here on a Monday at 11. We were seated quickly. Overall the food was really good. My daughter didn’t love her pancakes. But the waffles and crab hash and fried green tomato egg Benedict were delicious.

I recently learned that I have an allergy to hybrid wheat, which makes dining out tricky. A lot of places label things as gluten free, yet the flavor or texture takes a hit. This restaurant was a refreshing change. Our server Megan (pretty sure that was her name!) took the time to help me choose a meal that fit my needs without sacrificing taste or comfort. Everything was hearty, flavorful, and genuinely satisfying. The service felt thoughtful and attentive, and the atmosphere had that cozy, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay a while. I left happy, full, and grateful to have found a place that truly understands dietary needs while still serving great food. ✨🍽️

Went for the first time after our friends kept trying to get us there. All I can say is AMAZING! Quality food, tastes beyond amazing and you get a great amount for the price! Service is impeccable. I unfortunately didn’t get a pic of the fried chicken omelette because I ate it too fast. 3 of us got it and my gosh, KILLER! The pics are of the monkey bread and the phenomenal Bloody Mary. Thanks for a wonderful morning!!!!

I’ll start off by saying, I highly recommend this place. The menu is creative and fun. The dishes my husband and I ordered were delicious. He ordered Shirley’s Affair with Oscar; I ordered CY Young omelet. The most flavorful egg white and spinach omelet I’ve ever had! The service was pretty good. Our server made good recommendations and guided us through the menu. A little on the pricey side for me but then everything is these days. Good location in Annapolis. Easy to locate and park. The restaurant and restroom were clean. The food didn’t take too long to arrive from the time we ordered. There are several locations so stop by one. You won’t be sorry.

This place was really good. I got the watermelon cucumber spritz mocktail. It was very delicious and refreshing without being too sweet. My girlfriend got the pineapple margarita mocktail, she thought it was really good but I thought it was too salty. For appetizers we got the donuts and cornbread. The donuts were just okay. Way too sweet and nothing crazy special about them. But the cornbread was amazing. Nice crunch on outside then soft and buttery on the inside. They have a great addition of spice with a flavorful butter. For my entree, I got the peach cobbler cheesecake stuffed French toast. And it was amazing and a very nice large serving for the price. Could’ve been a little hotter though . My girlfriend got the chicken and waffles. She said they were great. Definitely recommend this place

Delicious meal, breakfast really hit the spot. Place was already starting to get busy right when they opened so I knew that we were in for some great food. The boneless fried chicken was some of the best I’ve had in a while. Cooked perfectly, juicy & crispy.

TLDR: weak food at a bad price point. Full review: one of the few breakfast places in Annapolis to choose from. Opening at 8am seems a bit late for a breakfast and brunch place. Food was mid. Got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was extremely dense breast cooked to hell. Dry and difficult to chew. Consider brining it guys. Or us a tender. Waffles were cakey and undercooked. Mouth full of dough. Mustard sauce was delicious but came ice cold. Asked for new and it was better. Cheese wasn’t melted. Just amateur all around. Wife got grits. Tasteless and stiff. Terrible. Service was ok. Manager handled the cold sauce quietly but didn’t say anything besides “enjoy”. No seasoning on the side of hash browns I got. And did not come well done like I asked. Atmosphere is like an ihop. Good place for a large group I suppose if you have unlimited money and don’t care what the food is like. Overall very expensive for what you get. Redeeming qualities: close to our hotel

Buddy's Crabs & Ribs is a family-owned restaurant located in the heart of Annapolis's historic district, offering a casual dining experience with a raw bar, seafood classics, and an all-you-can-eat buffet. With ample seating overlooking the picturesque Annapolis Harbor, it's the perfect spot for a crab feast with friends and loved ones. This establishment has been serving up the biggest, fattest, and spiciest blue crabs in town for over 30 years.
It is RARE that I post reviews 4 a restaurant. But Buddy’s deserve it. This was our 3rd time going but this visit was perfect. Atmosphere, warm welcome, seated immediately, server Rob was the BEST! And the food was Delicious. So much food! No small portions here. My husband & I went with 2 of our grandsons. We had our drinks, 2 appetizers, 1 appetizer and a feast for 2 (the Marylander). We could’ve had 2 more adults with us and everyone would’ve been full. Well done!!! I wish I could post the video clips.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Buddy’s Crab and Ribs! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — everything you’d hope for in a true Maryland seafood experience. The blue crabs were incredible, and our server Janelle went above and beyond to make the meal even more enjoyable. She took the time to teach us the proper way to eat blue crab — a skill we’ll be proud to use from now on! Her patience, personality, and expertise made the entire dining experience both fun and memorable. If you’re in the area and want great seafood with outstanding service, Buddy’s Crab and Ribs is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Definitely a MUST when in Annapolis! The ribs and crab were out of this world. Start with the steamed shrimp. And an entire table reserved with a full shot glass of whisky and table setting reserved for those who never came home. As a veteran, this goes beyond words. Thank you for keeping them alive.

The single best rib place in the entire USA… GUARANTEED. I’ve had Ribs all over the country (ribs is my favorite food) but Buddys is hands down the single best rib spot I’ve ever had. It’s beat out California, Missouri, Texas, Florida, and more! They’re sweet, tender, and fall off the bone! I always come here on my birthday since it’s my favorite rib spot in all of the DMV. 10/10 would recommend! Edit: Forgot to add the other pics of ribs I’ve had over the years lol. Delectable

1st time here. Parking was a challenge there is a parking garage but it was full and very hard to navigate that I was lucky on my way out of it.I found a parking spot. I got a boil which I really did like because they cut the potatoes instead of putting them in there home , so the season went completely through the potatoes. My guess had the special , which was quite a bit of food.

This was one of the best seafood experiences we had in Maryland. And we went to many places. The staff was very polite, atmosphere was lovely and they were quick to add high chair for our toddler. We had brunch buffet and boy it was an exquisite spread. The crabs were good but could have been better. However the location might matter, plus for us, the gold standard is Ocean City crabs which is very difficult to beat. So not the restaurant's fault! Chicken pasta was really amazing and our baby enjoyed the French toast like never before. We are happy that she could enjoy the whole meal without being fussy. The pilaf and seafood gravy was amazing as well. If anyone is familiar, it tasted very similar to Malaysian gravy that you may find in Kuala Lumpur or Langkawi. We were thrilled to get that taste off the coast of Maryland. Convergent evolution perhaps. The deserts maintained the high standards established by the main food. The best was the walnut cake. Do try it. It's not too sweet which makes it the best flavor. There are also live counters for waffle and seafood pasta that one might savor. Overall full house rating for the full house service.

We went to Friday Happy Hour, and ordered the crab leg/blue crab special. Atmosphere is great. The music wasn't too loud and wasn't too contemporary. The service was also very good! Mexican restaurant
Jalapenos is a Spanish and Mexican restaurant founded by Gonzalo Fernandez and Alberto Serrano in 1999. The menu offers a fusion of Spanish and Mexican cuisines, featuring dishes like Spanish-style chicken meatballs with brandy cream sauce and Oaxaca-style guacamole. Chef Obed Serrano, Alberto's brother, leads the kitchen in preparing a wide range of tapas and antojitos.
This place has become an Annapolis staple for fine Latin cuisine. With so many similar style restaurants in Annapolis, it is a true testament to both quality and cost that this restaurant has been thriving for so long. The food is awesome, service amazing, and the margaritas are primo! They'll sneak up on you!

Probably some of the best margaritas and tapas in town! Don't be fooled that it's in a strip mall off of Forest Drive. The dining room is a beautiful, intimate setting. Bar is great too. Every once and awhile they have live music too.

Accessibility denied. Loyalty dismissed. I never thought I'd be writing this review, because I've been a fan of Jalapeños in Annapolis for decades. Unfortunately, today's experience was so disappointing that I feel it's necessary to share. At 4pm yesterday, two friends and I arrived for Happy Hour. One of my friends is a senior, recovering from a stroke, and uses a cane. She was clearly unable to sit comfortably or safely at the high bar stools, so the host kindly seated us at a nearby table with regular chairs in the dining area. The restaurant was completely empty - because it was Monday at 4pm Shortly after, we were told the manager needed to "approve" Happy Hour service at that table. When he arrived, his response was that if he allowed it for us, he'd "have to allow it for everyone." This, despite the fact that THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY and we have supported this restaurant for years at countless gatherings for lunches, happy hours and dinners. This is also a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, by the way. We left, and sadly, we won't be returning. To deny a loyal customer--who has accessibility needs--a simple accommodation in an empty restaurant shows a complete lack of customer service and compassion. After decades of being one of our local favorites, Jalapeños has lost us as customers. Deeply disappointing.

This Mexican restaurant is our all time favorite! We had a wonderful meal! We ordered Scallops, shrimp, fish, and pork chop. Everyone at the table enjoyed their dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and lively. They also have the best guacamole too. The service is incredible. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed!

Amazing assortment of tapas. So delicious, the perfect bites packed with flavors. Good paellas, although they come out a bit too quickly and add a result, the Safran doesn't have time to infuse with the rice fully. Great service too. The wine selection is descent and very well priced.

When visiting Annapolis, visit Jalapeños! My new favorite place. Spanish style restaurant with flare. Dont let the outside strip mall window scare you! The stunning beauty of this restaurant feels like Spain. Lots of space for large parties & children. Prices range fair to great! An entire menu section devoted to tapas! Flavorful Food is thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. The warm atmosphere is friendly and inviting. My friend ordered chicken and I had chile relleno. The beans & rice were delicious and delicately seasoned. The chicken chile relleno was smothered in tangy salsa verde and cooked perfectly. While I would have preferred larger pieces of chicken instead of shredded chicken, the dish worked. It's not spicy and not over salted. Felt full and satisfied. We will return to try more dishes.

Rams Head Tavern, located on 33 West Street, is a charming brick-walled establishment with a cozy atmosphere. It offers an extensive selection of draft and imported beers, making it a great spot for beer enthusiasts. In addition to its pub fare and regional seafood dishes, the tavern also features a wisteria-covered heated patio where patrons can enjoy their meals.
The food here was amazing! I got the Tavern Steak Sandwhich, and it was genuinely one of the best things I had ever eaten. Very laid back and calming atmosphere, and the staff was very sweat and considerate. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and the food all looked and tasted delicious. It's definitely worth the visit!

I really wanted to like the food but it was a miss for me. The blackened salmon had no flavor! I would usually finish a whole plate of something like this. They got my partners order wrong twice and we were the only people in our section. The eggs were for sure the best thing. I’ll give them props for having gluten free buns. I may give it another try for burger night.

This place has gone downhill. Crab dip has very little crab (tastes like a bowl of warm cream cheese), they have no beer glasses available, and the veggies are dried out / brown around the edges. There are to many great places nearby to eat here again

Having reserved seats for a rock concert (by Wishbone Ash, a favorite of mine from 1970 in England, and still going strong), I opted to take my wife to dinner at the Tavern next door, beforehand. The discount package included $5 parking, 10% off our meals, and an optional beer after the show (though we needed to leave and did not take advantage.) Reviews were very good and our neighbor, an executive in global rock and dining hospitality company, heartily recommended the Tavern as well as the band. We found the vintage pub to be modernized but true to its character, filling two adjacent buildings on West Street in the old town of Annapolis, and just across the street from a discounted parking garage. Kelly, our server, was quickly attentive; the house lager and a canned Bold Rock cider were both excellent. My crabcake with cole slaw and fries and my partner's blackened fish tacos were fine. I have been comparing crabcakes at restaurants in Northern Virginia in the past two weeks. Although this crabcake was not in the top jumbo lump meat crabcake category that I have eaten recently, it was high quality, fresh, and nicely presented -- very good value for pub seafood. Both Kelly and the manager who stopped by the table were charming and attentive without interrupting us -- just the way one would want. We opted to share the low gluten solution, flourless chocolate cake with spray cream and sauce, finding it delicious. Overall, we loved our visit to Rams Head, and will return both for the hospitality and the rock and jazz concert series. It was worth a three-hour round trip from our home in Northern Virginia, plus an overnight stay in a hotel near BWI (another one hour round trip from Annapolis). In sailing season, we hope to return here any day when crewing a sailboat out of Annapolis.

Rams Head has always been a venue with outstanding music venue in the region. No where else are you going to see some of the biggest artists with such an intimate seating arrangement. Literally one of the coolest spots to see a show - I've seen John 5, comedy and That One Guy here plus several other shows in the early 2010's. Aside from one of the largest spots in town to grab a micro-brewed beer, this brewery has long lost its 'micro' brewery status as they're contracted brewed. Since Fordham and Dominion merger in 07 the former Dominion Milk Stout was long erased from their offerings. Guest taps appeared, and even macro lagers from big named breweries are now on tap. Though not brewed on site the beer is of the highest quality. Split originally between Dover, DE and off-sites, Today all their 'brewing' is done by Hugh Sisson and the team at Heavy Seas (one of Maryland's most celebrated breweries going back to Sisson's brewery of Baltimore in the 95). The basement bar is outstanding and reminds me of The Brewer's Art in Baltimore ( if that is still a thing). Service was lackluster and underwhelming. The caesar I had was average.

We were seeing Thomas Dolby and the tavern had a special for a "premium" special, which is included free of charge with tickets if you make a reservation and we did. This includes parking at Gott's for 5 bucks. 10% off your bill and a free beer after the show. Well, they treated us like royalty! Kelly the waitress was new but acted like a pro, The manager (sorry didn't catch her name) came and checked on us, Great! The happy hour specials are super! The food was plentiful, hot and really good! If you are catching a show at Rams Head I highly recommend this place without a doubt!

Severn Inn is an upscale seafood restaurant situated on the eastern side of the city, offering stunning views of the Severn River and the Naval Academy. The restaurant provides a perfect blend of upscale cuisine and a casual atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a laid-back yet exceptional dining experience. Guests can enjoy locally inspired dishes paired with exquisite drinks while taking in breathtaking sunset views over the water.
A lovey spot, right on the Severn River in Annapolis. I ordered the crab cake entree (there's an option to order two as well as a sandwich option). We had a big group, and everyone was happy with their orders. The wait staff was very attentive, accommodating, and warm! This is the first restaurant I've been to in a looong time that didn't make me feel we were on the clock, and they were in a rush to turn our table. I'll be back with family to try all the other yummy appetizers and entrees I saw others order!

View and atmosphere excellent. Service was great. He is my one gripe. Their crab cake is touted as a “Maryland True” crab cake, it is nothing close to it! The Baltimore and Annapolis area have a reputation world wide for our crabs and crab cakes. Too many restaurants ruin that reputation by serving sub standard crab cakes. This is a pet peeve of mine. Our crab cake was small and shape like a cupcake and very stringy with no crab lumps and very little taste. For the chef sir, I have included what a real Maryland crab cake looks like.

A wonderful spot for a date night or elevated causal dinner. I would recommend having a reservation if you plan on dining in the evening however they had no issues seating others who did not have a reservation. Everything we ordered was wonderful. I would particularly recommend the crab deviled eggs as a starter and the lobster pasta as a main. Servers were kind and attentive. Food came to table quickly. We will definitely be back!

The Severn Inn – Where Waterfront Views & Coastal Class Collide 🌊🍸🌮 If you're looking for that perfect mix of Annapolis charm, upscale vibes, and unbeatable waterfront views — The Severn Inn checks every box. Perched along the Severn River, this spot offers postcard-worthy views of the Naval Academy and the bridge, best enjoyed with a cocktail in hand and something delicious on your plate. The atmosphere? Polished, preppy, and relaxed — think boat shoes and sundresses, not stuffy. The shrimp tacos are a total standout, and the full bar has you covered whether you're in the mood for a crisp glass of wine or something a little stronger to go with those sunset views. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or hosting a special party or reception — because let’s be honest, everything feels fancier by the water. Pro tip: Grab a table outside if the weather’s nice — the views alone are worth the reservation.

The absolute best in the Annapolis area. A perfect view of the water as well as the Naval Academy. What ever you select for your meal is tasty and fresh. My crab cake sandwich was pure crab. Drinks are chilled even if you are just ordering ice tea. They have no problem making you fresh decaf coffee. I can't recommend this beautiful inn enough. Try it because you will LOVE IT ❤️

My wife and I loved this location. She had the filet mignon and I had the crab cake sandwich. It was incredible and the location is beautiful. Additionally, our server Thomas was great! The staff was overall helpful but the service from our waiter made it such an enjoyable time. We will be returning soon.

My mom & I went to enjoy the weather. We sat outside on the patio, plenty of seating right on the water. Easily one of my favorite views of Annapolis. The food was pretty good. Crab dip & Brussels sprouts I'd certainly reccomend. Our server was bland at best. As a server & patron myself-- I think walking up to a table with no smile saying "well are you two drinking something. Do you need food yet" is ill-mannered & at his age should have better manners in general. (Especially in the hospitality industry) Don't expect impeccable service, but the environment might help make up for that.
Chelsea A — Google review
This won't be a long review because this is one of my go to places for dining. It's just beautiful. Located on the Severn River across from the Naval Academy the location is spectacular! Their outdoor deck area is a soul soothing place to sit and eat; the waves coming in and out, beautiful view and no obnoxious music (at least that I remember). The restaurant interior is beautiful too with a great deal of atmosphere. The service has always been amazing. And now the food, wow! As a family none of us have had anything that we haven't throughly enjoyed. In these days of cost, service, and quality cutting the Severn Inn really shines with location, service and menu!

My friends and I had such a great experience at Blackwall Hitch! The service was excellent from start to finish, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. I especially want to compliment the manager, Rick, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He was so accommodating with our casual attire, giving my friend a shirt, and made us feel completely at ease, which really added to the experience. Rick’s professionalism and kindness stood out, and it’s clear he truly cares about his guests. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the staff—thank you, Rick, for making our visit so enjoyable!

This is one of our go to restaurants in Annapolis. We love the quality of the food and the service is always incredible. There is always availability for seating and there are plenty of spaces to rent for events big or small. There is no bad choice on the menu, everything is incredible! Recently we had the wings in their crab and garlic rub and they were amazing! The Chesapeake is our favorite pizza and I would recommend it to any and everyone.

Dock Street Bar and Grill in Annapolis is a local favorite for cocktails, seafood and classic grub. They serve Maryland-brewed beers including the Dock Street Pilsner, specially-made by Manor Hill Brewery. The atmosphere is easygoing with good vibes and great Ego Alley views.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD!!! I ordered the double crab cake dinner. It came with a fresh, vibrant green spinach and delicious mashed potatoes. The crab cakes were large and packed full of crab meat. These days a lot of crab cakes are filled with so much breading (not the case here at all)! My wife ordered the fish and chips… that was equally fabulous! The serving size of fish was enormous. The outer breading and the fish was so light and fluffy….Not a thick, heavy, greasy coating. This was made fresh and came out hot. Not greasy at all. I almost forgot, we had the crab dip appetizer also. The bread was perfectly toasted and the dip sported a layer of fresh crab meat throughout….soooo good! This is a cozy environment right on the bay. I wish I lived here so I could frequent this place all the time. Staff was super-friendly and attentive also. Forgot to mention, great portion sizes. I forgot to take photos until after we started to eat (especially fish & chips).

Unfortunately, the service at this restaurant was disappointing—our waitress was rude and dismissive throughout the meal. When a simple issue came up, instead of resolving it politely, she tried to blame us, which was frustrating and unprofessional. I believe good customer service is key, and sadly, that was not our experience here. One of the waitresses was Erin, and I don't know the name of the other one (shown being rude in the video). Instead of apologizing, she blows us off as you can see in the video. They may have an amazing crab cake, but the service sucks. They need training. I'd get fired if I acted like a child at my job.

Happy Hour arrival gave us a table outside on a cloudy Tuesday where the Ahi Tuna Salad and especially excellent crabcakes were handicap accessible and lemon-drop martinis went down easily! 10 out of 10 on the crabcakes
Felecia F — Google review
Small bar / seating area adjacent to the bar. Crab cake sandwich was good; not much filler, but large bun in comparison. The bread on the sandwich sort of overpowered the crab meat taste due to its thickness. Service at the bar was decent. Food was received in about 10 minutes. No special cocktail menu.

Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar is an upscale Italian restaurant located in Annapolis, MD, offering a sophisticated dining experience with authentic Tuscan cuisine. The elegant and modern space provides the perfect setting to enjoy a diverse selection of classic Italian dishes, from hearty pasta dishes to savory appetizers.
This place has a dine in side and a take out side to the restaurant. I was staying at the hotel across from it and had no idea where to eat. So I asked the parking crew where they would go and all of them said to go here. In my experience you can never go wrong listening to hungry boys on limited budgets. The food was excellent! So good I convinced the group to go there for lunch the next day and order the same thing again! We all shared our plates and I don’t think you could go wrong with any choice on the menu. Will definitely go back when I visit again.

Our experience at Carpaccio was amazing. We loved our experience so much we came back on a second night. The food was incredible, but our server Meg made the experience even more enjoyable! The Scallop Casino (which I subbed for prawns) is quite possibly the best meal I’ve ever had. Crab risotto and peppers and crunchy pancetta with a lovely blanket of fresh basil. Absolutely incredible. Meg was a star. Attentive, fun, and super helpful with the menu and quick questions about the local community. Top notch is an understatement. LOVE!

Great place to stop in with a great menu. I got the grandma pizza and Margherita pizza, and both were great. If I had any complaints it would be the crust was a little more done on one than the other but it was still so good I couldn't give it anything but 5 stars, amazing sauce! It wasn't busy when I ate, but the had live music which fed into the classy vibe they have inside. Service was good and quick, and as upscale as it felt the prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend

Went here Friday at 7 PM with no reservation. I went to the front where a gentleman was sitting at a customer table next to the host desk. I walked over to the bar to ask the bartender where we could sit. When I turned around, that same gentleman was now standing at the host table. He asked, “How may I help you?” Honestly, he should have gotten up and greeted me when I first arrived at the table. No big deal. We sat down. It’s a nice place. We got Bridgette as our server. I ordered a Caesar salad and asked if they had anchovies, which they did. I was never told that the anchovies were the dry kind typically used for pizza, not the fresh ones normally served on a salad. The salad was also over-sauced. I removed the anchovies and did not eat them. One of my friends ordered pasta, and my other friend did as well. When the food came out, one of the pastas had bacon in it, and he does not eat bacon. When the server came back, he politely asked if he could get another one without bacon. She responded, “You didn’t see that on the menu?” He apologized and asked again nicely. My other friend said, “It’s not a big deal. I’ll pay for it and take it to go.” Later, we asked for two boxes to go. She brought only one and walked off. When my friend mentioned it, she asked, “Why?” His plate was covered with a napkin because there was a fly around the table since we were sitting outside. She stood there holding the box, questioning why he would need one. When he lifted the napkin, she sarcastically said, “Oh, I didn’t know your food was under a napkin,” and then made another smart remark.

Food was delicious just smaller portions for the prices being charged. We enjoyed everything from the drinks to dessert. The dessert didn’t have somethings available because the waitress said they were moving to another location(this was in May) But overall 10/10. Can’t wait to go back 😋 😋😋

Lemongrass is a casual dining outpost that offers modern Thai cuisine with a contemporary touch. The restaurant provides an extensive dinner menu with options for vegans, vegetarians, and those with gluten allergies. The comfortable booth seating and great service ensure a pleasant dining experience, while outdoor seating is also available. Lemongrass has been serving genuine Thai food to the community since 2005 and offers delivery services.
My wife and I love Lemongrass every time we go. We recently did the Happy Hour and it was great. We tried a few different things just to try different stuff. We did the Garden Rolls (good), Veggie Dumplings (great), Rangoons (great), and ctab fried rice (good). We shared the Pad Thai with chicken (great) the 1st time we went. Definitely adds to the experience by eating outside.

Great local place, small but still great floor plan. Vibrant colors... Appetizers were both very very tasty we had calamari and spring rolls. Dinner was also well made and plenty of leftovers. Really enjoyed my experience.

Lemongrass had a very nice atmosphere. It was calm and not too loud or "busy" feeling. The menu had some really good options that made it hard to choose. I got the garden rolls with shrimp and the lemongrass soup. The food was hot/cold as appropriate and the flavor was wonderful. The service was polite without being overbearing. I definitely recommend Lemongrass for those looking at a relaxing place to find dinner.
Sarah N — Google review
Ordered lemongrass soup & green curry soup. I was sorely disappointed with the taste of the lemongrass soup. I had to take it home even though I knew I would be trashing them. It was awful to say the least. The proteins smelt like they had been sitting in the freezer for months. My Green curry soup showed up as white; I asked them why they said sometimes it’s like that. In my almost 15yrs of eating Thai food; this place gave me a run for my money. Seems like an American who decided to set up a Thai restaurant. This was at the Annapolis location at 167 West street. I threw away $65.22 for a nasty meal.
Ms. K — Google review
Had the opportunity to check out Lemongrass while visiting Downtown Annapolis. The restaurant is tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of Annapolis, but within walking distance from the water and tourist attractions near the Navy Yard. I was greeted and seated quickly. The staff members were exceptional and friendly. The restaurant is cozy with maybe a dozen tables inside and a few outside; great for a date. The food service was incredibly efficient, yet paced, where I didn’t feel rushed. For appetizers, I tried the crispy green beans and crab rangoon. The crispy green beans came recommended and were excellent; salty, spicy, sweet, and crunchy. The crab rangoon, albeit priced slightly high for four wontons, was executed perfectly; definitely better than your average wonton and justified the price. Entrees consisted of pad Thai and masaman curry. Each tasted very fresh and were prepared flawlessly with great flavors and a generous portion. For dessert, the fried ice cream was something different and a perfect sweet treat to wrap up an excellent meal. When considering the food, service, atmosphere, and cost, I have no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Lemongrass. I would absolutely return and would recommend visiting Lemongrass to anyone looking for exceptional Thai food. Thanks.

Lemongrass is an absolute gem in beautiful Annapolis, Maryland. Located right on West St. it serves up some of the best Thai food in the DMV. The garden rolls were delicious, with fresh ingredients. First of all the servers were very nice but it's crazy how fast they get your food out to you. It took less than 5 minutes for us to get our appetizers. Ruth's Chris Steak House is an upscale steakhouse chain known for its sizzling, butter-topped beef served in an elegant setting. Located in the serene neighborhood of Eastport in Annapolis, Maryland, this restaurant offers a warm and casual yet sophisticated atmosphere. Since its establishment in 1965, Ruth's Chris Steak House has been delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Ruth's Chris is consistent across the U.S.. We're transplants from California, and the food is exactly the same flavor. It was just as amazing out here in Annapolis. This first try was for Valentines, and we got a 5pm reservation. Let me tell you, perfect time to come. Far fewer crowds, if that matters to you. The place is smaller than other Ruth's Chris places, but the bar area, although small, has plenty of large party tables and is separated from the regular seating areas by a door and wall. So, if you end up like us and get the table just beyond the door from the bar, you'll still be in absolute silence after the crowds arrive, thankfully. Valet is still free, but do take tips :)

It was our first time visiting this restaurant in Annapolis with the family to celebrate my husband’s birthday and father’s day! We had an unforgettable dinner at Chris and Ruth Steakhouse. We ordered the Porterhouse for Two and the Cowboy Ribeye—both cooked to perfection and packed with incredible flavor. The quality of the meat was outstanding, tender, and juicy. The cocktails were just as impressive—balanced, creative, and absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to our server Jonathan, who made the experience even better. He was professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drinks. He walked us through the cuts, preparation process, and even gave great pairing suggestions. Jonathan, truly elevated the entire evening. He was professional, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about both the menu and the drink selections. He gave thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does. If you’re looking for top-tier steak, craft cocktails, and exceptional service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

The service and the food were exceptional! We ordered Calamari and Oysters Rockefeller as appetizers and we both had Petit Ribeye with Lobster Mac and Creamed Spinach for our sides. Everything was delicious! The service was absolutely wonderful. Josh was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a fairly private table to celebrate our anniversary and they even added rose petals to the table. It was a wonderful experience.

We had the most amazing experience the other night for my 2nd Moms birthday!! Can we start with the bread?? I mean we cant forget it and there were two kinds. White and Raisin. I only tried the Raisin but it was delicious. Next was the seafood tower. Absolutely amazing with beautiful presentation. It was perfect for us 3-we got the small size. I'd say it would be good for no MORE than 4 people. More than 4 you'd definitely want the large. Next comes the lamb chops!! They were cooked perfectly to my liking. I was a little difficult and asked for somewhere in-between medium and medium rare. They did exactly that! The sides, we ended up sharing. Creamed spinach, brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. All were PERFECT. The creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts, I loved equally! The Bananas Foster was also amazing! It was prepared tableside by our super fun waitress! All in all, I hadn't been to Ruth's Chris since my 16th birthday. I'm now 39. I cant believe I've waiting so many years in between! Ill definitely be back soon :0)

Birthday and anniversary celebration. Table ready within 10 minutes of arrival. Great selection of steaks perfectly cooked to order. They also have a fixed price menu option offering different entrees. Highly recommend the pork chop. Perhaps the best I've had; cooked to perfection and very succulent. We enjoyed an assortment of side dishes and all were delicious. Highly recommend the calamari as an appetizer. Our waiter was very attentive and individual whims were accommodated. Nice dessert selection and delicious as well. All around great dining experience.

Very concerning to have paint chips from ceiling while guests are eating. Looks like water damage from ceiling as well Chairs and walls have scuff marks. Brought up to server and manager never came. Porterhouse steak was okay, asked for medium rare and got rare Server was nice person who did their best. Not what to expect at a Ruth Chris experience. Especially spending 500 dollars

I’ve gone back and forth about writing this review because Ruth’s Chris in Annapolis has always been a favorite of mine. Management and the staff have consistently been welcoming, attentive, and made every visit feel special. Unfortunately, my most recent experience in early October was very different, and it’s weighed on me since. I visited to celebrate my birthday, but the service I received from our server, Jackie, did not reflect the level of hospitality I’ve come to expect. I waited a long time before even being acknowledged, and when Jackie finally arrived, her demeanor felt cold and rushed. When I asked questions about the menu, she seemed annoyed and did not appear knowledgeable about the items. What made the experience even more disappointing was watching her interactions with a nearby table of three young men. Her attitude with them was warm, engaging, and completely different from the service we received. One of the reasons I’ve always loved Ruth’s Chris is because not only is the food phenomenal, but the service has always felt exceptional and celebratory. Sadly, this time, that was not the case. If this had been my very first visit, I would not have wanted to return. I share this because I truly value Ruth’s Chris and the many wonderful experiences I’ve had there in the past. I hope this feedback helps ensure that future guests continue to receive the warm, attentive service that the restaurant is known for.

Preserve is a modern American restaurant in Annapolis, founded by culinary experts Jeremy and Michelle Hoffman. The menu features creative dishes like pan-roasted Rhode Island fluke with chow-chow and gnocchi with kimchi. The restaurant also offers weekend brunch with options like fried egg grits and cinnamon chip French toast. Preserve stands out for its use of canned, pickled, and fermented ingredients in their dishes.
Let's talk food! 🫡😋 If you're on the hunt for a cozy, intimate spot with serious flavor, make your way to Preserve in the heart of downtown Annapolis. This place is ideal for a memorable lunch, brunch, or dinner. Fellas, trust me—you'll want to bring your special someone here. The food? Incredible. We kicked things off with the crispy kale, which was fresh and packed with flavor—highly recommend! Our main event was the Preserve Burger, and it didn’t disappoint. Juicy, fresh, and perfectly cooked, with a side of hand-cut fries that were downright addictive. Plus, their house-made sodas are a fun, refreshing twist! So if you’re in Annapolis, don’t miss out on Preserve. Amazing food, great vibes, and a perfect way to make any meal feel special.

Small menu, but very tasty! We had crab hashbrowns (our favorite bite!), the most amazing chili sourdough focaccia, pickled beets (LOVE), and pork bites (decent — a bit small and not as tender). The steak frites was also tasty — so tender, too. The service was excellent. I wish there were more entrees that appealed to us, especially given the high price, but we were delighted with the food we split! The fresh lemonade was also great.

Excellent restaurant in downtown Annapolis. We originally only planned to grab wine here before heading elsewhere for dinner, but the menu looked so fantastic we stayed. Everything was super delicious, well presented, and creatively crafted. The scallops were probably my favorite and had such an unreal texture!! The servers were also very helpful in choosing wines to enjoy.

In a word….. Wonderful. We had a late lunch here. It did not disappoint. The brunch hamburger was good but the smoked salmon Benedict was amazing! Would have licked the plate if I would not have gotten odd stares. Also Lorenza was wonderful. I was unsure about a wine to get and she not only brought me the one I asked to try but two more similar. That’s service. Please go. You won’t regret it.

Amazing! The sourdough focaccia changed my life. Definitely recommend making a reservation. But great restaurant.
Dylan — Google review
We've been going to Preserve for a few years, and the idea of the restaurant, fermentation-based food, is excellent. However, our last visit in late September 2025 was disappointing. The house pickle recipe changed and tasted more like a basic quick pickle. The pickles were mostly green peppers. The focaccia was a lovely bread, but the topping overwhelmingly tasted of salt, couldn't get a hint of pepper or herb even though they were clearly fresh and visible. We got a beet salad (good, super small), and 2 house sodas which were excellent. We left hungry and spent more than a normal meal elsewhere. Prices are higher than before, and quality has dipped. The servers were impeccable though, many kudos to all of them. I am very hesitant to recommend the place right now, but with a return to the quality that marked them as exceptional before, they would be a destination restaurant. They have clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan items and a strong drink selection. Can be crowded, I would get a reservation.

We were a large group of 15 and the 2 hours passed by quickly because everything was fantastic. The quality of the food puts the Preserve above so many other restaurants. Second, the service was very friendly! The place was not loud, and we were in a really nice spot in the heart of this coast place. The drinks we had was a nice plus to the experience.

We had a reservation for an anniversary lunch while the kids were in school and were not disappointed! Absolutely fantastic service and food! They made it so special and every dish was delicious. I cannot recommend Luna Blu enough. If lunch is at this level, we need to come back for dinner!

Stopped in on a Saturday night with no reservations. The staff were great about accomidating us. The food was outstanding. I had a watermelon salad that was fantastic and see food pasta dish special that was also, fanastics. Great find.

I will start off with a disclosure, I visited during an Art Festival being held outside of the restraunt. I was seated fairly quick but waited on the initial drink order and placing the food order. I had Fettuccine with Alfredo and added chicken. It arrived super hot, noodles were al dente and the Alfredo sauce was broken down to oil. I eat a lot of Fettuccine around the country and prefer a creamy sauce. The Caprese sandwich was ok and was filling. Again, I sat outside and loved the atmosphere but just felt the kitchen was overwhelmed and couldn't prepare the food to their everyday standards. I will revisit on a normal business day and try them again.

Excellent food and service! The atmosphere was cramped and noisy but had a quaint, cozy charm. The fresh bread was very good. We had the crab bruscetta for our appetizer and it had great flavor and the bread was the perfect texture. The champagne risotto wasn't on the printed menu but the chef made it for me. It was delicious! My husband ordered a penne marina with fresh Mozzarella and basil with chicken. Everything was well prepared and the service was attentive. Definitely worth the drive and the visit!

Amazing Italian restaurant. Outside seating is nice at night. Very popular, make sure to reserve. Seafood pasta dishes seem to be the specialty.

Great little restaurant in a lively part of town. Staff are super friendly and the food is fantastic. Inside has a cosy feel and if you sit outside as we did with our dog, you get to watch the world go by in a vibrant part of town. Much recommended!

First time here. Had the Penne Vodka and the risotto. Both were very good and portion size was generous, meals for 2 + big dessert was about $60, which isn’t bad these days for this quality of food. Service was also excellent and food was moving quickly out the kitchen despite full dining room. Would recommend making reservations, the place is tiny so accommodating walk-ins is difficult.

In need of a good hearty Italian meal during some Christmas shopping, I checked out LunaBlue after the Annappolis Chocolate Binge Festival wrapped up. I was not disappointed! The interior is very neat and cozy, and the service was quick, attentive, and polite. The Calamari Rustici is a unique and creative take on calamari. You wouldn't think that balsamic and marinara would work together, but let this appetizer completely change your mind on that. The linguini alle Vongole was SPOT ON! The clams were awesome and the white wine & garlic sauce was flavorful with a little salty aftertaste (which is good!). I'm glad they let me add calamari on top. The sauteed calamari was soft, tender, and flavorful. Perfectly cooked! The dessert, the tiramisu, was very good as well...a good portion of caffeine to keep me awake for the long drive back home! LunaBlu is an impressive little Italian place on West Street, and I am very excited for my next visit and my next plate of Linguine alle Vongle!

The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant chain that offers heated pots of cheese, chocolate or broth for dipping and cooking. The fondue dining experience is interactive and fun - and the food is always terrific. The meal can be expensive, but the opportunity to share a long dinner conversation with friends is worth it. The server was excellent and made everything enjoyable!
Awesome experience! From the hostess Hannah to our waiter Michelle! It was our first time there and a date night opportunity. Very nice atmosphere. We walked in and they had a nice waiting area and then walked in and were greeted by a very nice hostess. We went on a Thursday evening and were seated immediately. We took our son as they are a child friendly place. They provided our child with a menu and crayons as they had a menus for him. The drinks were good and the experience is amazing. This is not a fast food or hurry and leave place. This is a place that VALUE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE over speed, which is an art in itself. The food was amazing and you take the opportunity to cook your own food at the table which our child assisted with. They enjoyed helping and assisting and engaging with that process. It may seem lengthy for toddlers if you are looking for a young toddler however it is a worth the trip and worth every bite down to the dessert. Again, great place to take family and or go by yourself. Amazing experience. Who knew fondue could be so fun.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We came in to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, and our server Christian made the evening absolutely perfect! From start to finish, he went above and beyond. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and gave great descriptions and recommendations for everything on the menu, every choice he suggested was spot on! What really stood out was his attention to detail and kindness. Christian even knew service dog laws and made sure our service dog felt welcome, offering him a water bowl without us even having to ask. That level of awareness and care is rare and truly appreciated. Christian turned a special night into an unforgettable one. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for him again!

My experience at The Melting Pot in Annapolis was truly wonderful from beginning to end. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy, elegant, and perfect for an intimate evening — relaxed, romantic, and beautifully set up for a memorable night out. Our server, Liv, was absolutely outstanding. She was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the menu and walk us through the entire experience. Her energy and attention to detail made the night feel effortless and enjoyable. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure her guests have a great time — she was truly the highlight of our evening. The food was delicious, fresh, and perfectly paced from course to course. Everything was well-prepared and thoughtfully presented, and the interactive style of dining made the experience both fun and relaxing. It’s the kind of place that encourages you to slow down, connect, and really enjoy the moment. We left feeling full, happy, and grateful for such a great experience. Between the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and Liv’s exceptional service, this visit exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend The Melting Pot in Annapolis to anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be asking for Liv!

Phenomenal experience! We got the fiesta cheese, California Salad, mojo cooking style with the Pacific Rim and Steak Lovers entrees and then the Dubai Chocolate fondue for dessert! I didn't taste much pistachio cream so I shouldnt have mixed it up, I think, but besides that it was soo good! Our server was super friendly! The atmosphere was adventurous yet quiet...if that makes sense? Lol we will definitely be back! I had to cut the video into 2, 30 second videos but watch both of them together and that was my experience!

What a hidden gem! Such a cute coffee shop. My husband and i stopped here for breakfast while in town. I had the Mornin Breakfast burrito with a sugar free vanilla latte and my husband had the Eggs Expresso with the brewed Rise-Up coffee. The food was delicious. The service was a little slow, but not bad for a Sunday morning. The place wasn't too crowded. Very relaxed atmosphere. The bakery items looked so appealing we took a slice of key lime pie to go. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area

Really cozy and inviting coffeehouse! Indoor seating as well as seating out back. Place serves a variety of coffees and pastries, as well as drinks. Stopped in for a latte. Carmel. Was very delicious! One person working on making coffees as well as drinks orders for dining customers. Took a little while to get my order, but it tasted great! Didn’t try any food on this outing.

I visited this place on Monday night, October 6th, and ordered two hot chocolates for $8 and left a $1 tip. Later, I checked my card statement and saw I was charged $18 total. I called the restaurant and was told this has “happened before,” which is unacceptable and feels like something they could easily get away with if customers don’t check their receipts. To make matters worse, We asked to sit at a window table that happened to be dirty, and when we requested for it to be cleaned, the woman who served us (apparently the owner) seemed completely uninterested in helping. Even though she saw us waiting, she told us with an attitude, “there’s another table right there,” pointing to a spot that was uncomfortably close to another person, not where we wanted to sit. She only cleaned the table after we asked multiple times. After that, she barely checked on us. We had to get up and go to the counter to pay because she never came back once we got our drinks. Overall, very poor service. Be aware and double-check your charges if you visit. We won’t be coming back.

An absolute must for Annapolis locals and visitors alike. I bring everyone here! Love to play some board games over dinner (love the Korean dishes especially) with great cocktails. Also a hit of course when they have live music- sometimes we'll come in and hear the band start playing, so we just move our seats to the jazz room and add the cover charge to our tab! Support local businesses like this one!

The food is fantastic!! I ordered a Tuna poke bowl and my friend ordered a sandwich. We both LOVED our food!! Light House Bistro is a stylish and polished restaurant that offers elevated American dishes and brunch. It is a social enterprise established by The Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center, providing job opportunities and culinary training to students from development programs. The menu features comprehensive options including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes. The bistro creates a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for locals and tourists to enjoy detectable American cuisine.
We stopped here for brunch and had a wonderful table just outside on the corner so we could enjoy the lovely weather. The cucumber crush was really tasty and refreshing. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles as well and the service was great! The star of the show though was the bread pudding French toast, it was so good we tried or order another but they were already sold out. Get here earlier if you want the French toast!

I visited Light House Bistro for the first time over the weekend with a small group. Definitely get a reservation if you’re interested in going, but I personally won’t be back. The Good: The food was generally well done. The cinnamon bun was great, and the icing was overly sweet. The home fries were great albeit unseasoned, which is fine because I prefer a lot of salt and pepper regardless. The bacon was well cooked and high quality. The pancakes and waffles were great as well. The Bad: My 2 over easy eggs were undercooked (whites still runny), and I almost sent them back but decided against it. Additionally, one of the dishes served at my table had a metal shaving in it, which is concerning (see pictures). Additionally and unfortunately, our server was quite short and almost rude. For these reasons, we won’t be going back.

Such a warm and inviting vibe and staff! And the food was amazing As we heard from others, the granola was parfait was outstanding! Here for Annapolis Restaurant week, so we also tried the cinnamon bun, Bistro Club, a special country eggs benny dish - all delicious! And good coffee, too! We'll be back because there were so many other tantalizing items on the menu!

Great breakfast experience last minute decision. It’s very quaint but don’t let the google photos push you away. The good was delicious. We were pleased with it all. I ordered pancakes, eggs, home fries, and bacon. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a gentle touch of lasting sweetness. Next, my beautiful wife ordered the grilled bread pudding french toast. This was more of a sweet dessert rather than your normal French Toast. Either way it was mouth savoring and touched her soul! We will return.

Wow, just wow! Our experience at Light House Bistro in Annapolis was nothing short of extraordinary! We stumbled upon this gem for breakfast and were blown away by what we found. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. Our server went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. And let's talk about the food—oh my goodness, it was out of this world! Each dish was a flavor explosion that left us craving more. But what really stole the show was the open kitchen concept! Watching the chefs work their magic right before our eyes added an extra layer of excitement to our meal. The ambiance was simply amazing, and the vibe was so chill—it was like being transported to a bluesy paradise. Light House Bistro has definitely earned a top spot on our list of favorite breakfast spots in Annapolis!

I loved everything about this restaurant! The menu was extensive but not overwhelming (something for everyone in our group), food was REALLY good, service was solid and friendly, and the social enterprise concept is done in extremely well. Only “negative” is that the potion sizes are very generous! Would eat here everyone weekend if I could.
Elizabeth C — Google review
We had Easter breakfast here. It’s such a great atmosphere and our waitress was great. Portions were generous (I don’t think any of us were able to finish) and the food flavorful. We had the breakfast flatbread, French omelette, and chicken and waffles — they were all fantastic. Our favorite, however, was the blueberry pancake we all shared. When we are back in the area, we will definitely be back and recommend to other families.
Angelique G — Google review
3.5 stars. I really liked the decor. Very friendly atmosphere in downtown area. My husband and I stopped here for breakfast after my doctor's appointment. I asked for an egg white omelet but a regular omelet was brought out. The waiter was very nice and had the kitchen make my correct order right away, but I was disappointed by how much grease was on my plate when I tried to have a lower fat option. My husband had the Bistro breakfast and both of our dishes lacked flavor. The presentation was good but unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives for us. We will not be returning.

The experience was absolutely incredible! We were treated like royalty. The place is like a dream, the food is beyond delightful (we tried almost everything on the menu :D), and the attention to detail was impeccable. The food is amazing when it comes to flavour and presentation. I would only say the portions can be worked upon because they are quite small. Our server was amazing. The wine list is nice. The manager is I believe a sommelier so you can look for recommendations. Overall, it was a great experience ☺️

We’re visiting Annapolis and decided to stop by Flamant for an early dinner. Everything was exceptional. From the amazing and super attentive servers, to the exquisite food, and lovely ambiance. The place is stunning. We chose to sit outdoors and it was really peaceful and enjoyable. We ordered a charcuterie board, the shared cowboy steak, and crème brûlée tart. All were delicious. The cowboy steak was cooked to perfection, super tender and flavorful. Staff was very welcoming and opened the door for us. It was a refreshing experience. This will definitely be our go-to next time we stop by Annapolis.

We ate here on a weekend and had a fantastic time. Loved the atmosphere, fairly casual. We got a reservation same day. Our waitress was awesome and provided excellent recommendations. We got the charcuterie board, escargot, bavette steak, salmon, and the peach pie. I had a an elderflower gimlet, some wine (can’t remember which - I think it was recommended by our waitress), and an espresso martini. The food and drinks were amazing. Can’t wait to go back

This a small Belgian bistro in an Annapolis neighborhood, and we decided to give it a try. The staff is very friendly and appear to be well trained, ambiance is quaint and welcoming, drink options were vast and ranged from classic to chic, menu options were amazing. We got the carrots as an appetizer....while I was skeptical, they did not disappoint as I could have eaten these as my meal. Sous vide salmon was incredible, as was the steak. Desserts were out of this world also. We topped the evening off with a cappuccino and it was so good I took a look at their machine to see what they were using. Definitely pricey, but well worth the trip!

A unique restaurant in Annapolis. French country style with neighborhood vibes. The decor seemed impeccably styled, meticulous and felt clean. Staff was far above expectations. The focus seems to be on high quality, top chef style food. Everything was done well, technique and execution was good. Everything we had was delicious. Prices are not absurb but keep in mind portion sizes are rather small so drives up the overall price of the meal. I'd come back for the unique vibe and good food.

Relatively new restaurant and you'd never know because they certainly have their act together! Fabulous meal start to finish! The escargot spread was phenomenal. Smaller bistro type vibe, reservations recommended.
Kelly R — Google review
Good ambience. The snacks and appetizers had great presentation, looked like artwork. The restaurant apparently changes menus every 12 weeks. While it may be good for seasonal items, we did not get to order items we wanted based on older pictures we saw online. Food tastes okay, could be more flavorful, considering the price tag. The pea shrimp came without any shrimp at all, so had to ask for it. Overall a decent experience.

The Choptank is a popular restaurant located in Annapolis, offering an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is perfect for both casual outings with friends or romantic dates. Visitors can enjoy delicious local Maryland cuisine while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
We sat on the covered deck for lunch and LOVED IT. Amazing views, food, and service. Best lobster roll I’ve ever had, plus incredible cream of crab soup and crab dip. Loved the tuna, too. Our server was a gem and we had the best time! Crab dip was generously portioned and so tasty. Also loved the orange crush.

We had a stellar experience at The Choptank. Our server’s name was Sean. He provided prompt and attentive service during our dining experience. The food was DELICIOUS. My wife dined on the Chilean Sea Bass. I had the Chesapeake Rockfish. Both were topped with Crab Imperialism. Get the Brussels Sprouts! They were really tasty. We really enjoyed the Choptank. The weather was GORGEOUS. Be prepared though: On a busy day, you may have to wait in line to use a restroom.
Marcus M — Google review
We chose The Choptank for our wedding-day dinner, and it was nothing short of perfection. The restaurant sits right on the Annapolis Harbor, and somehow manages to match the beauty of its view with every detail inside—from the warmth of the staff to the precision on each plate. The menu itself tells a story: the Native roots of the Choptank name, the Greek family heritage behind the brand, and the legacy of quality that carries through every dish. You can taste the care and investment behind this place; it’s elevated without pretension. We began with a spread of appetizers—crab cake, Brussels sprouts, calamari, wagyu meatball, corn pudding, and Maryland crab soup—and each one was incredible in its own way. The crab cake was a masterclass in balance, the meatball rich and deeply savory, and the corn pudding… pure comfort. For dinner, the scallops and branzino were both exquisite, finished with a ponzu-shiitake brown butter sauce that deserves its own line of poetry. Dessert was no afterthought: a berry cheesecake and a salted caramel brownie crowned with vanilla ice cream—each one flawless. I tried to savor every bite, though it was hard not to devour them outright. It’s rare to find a restaurant that feels this genuine and this refined at once. The management made our evening unforgettable, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A perfect ending to a day that meant everything to us. Five shining stars.

Nice restaurant off the water. Has a outside seating area upstairs and down. It is best to make reservations because this place had a line with a 20 to 30min wait. We chose to be seated upstairs outside where we were able to get seated sooner and see the boats and other events. It was so hot we chose the salads. It was so hot todaysalads was a good choice. The vegetables was fresh and crips. The Atlas and grilled chicken ceaser with lots of cold water. Service was fast our watier Byran K was super attentive and friendly he made sure we had what we needed. This is a friendly family atmosphere the view is beautiful. Plenty of seating space and open bar area. I plan on returning soon and try something else on the menu Lots of seafood dishes and something for the children. Please enjoy the video and pictures.

We came here for a business dinner. I ordered the cream of crab soup and a filet mignon. Both were exceptional. The atmosphere was great - nothing like eating on the water with yachts parked in front of you. The service was fine - not bad, but not as exceptional as I would expect. I definitely recommend and will be bringing my family here in the future.

Husband and I randomly happened on a Thursday at lunchtime. It was surprisingly packed for a workday, but it appeared that a lot of professional lunches were occurring. We immediately were seated outside at a high top table right along the water. Our server, we believe Michelle, was extremely attentive, proactive and very friendly. Being that it was a hot day & lunch, we both opted for a salad. My husband saw another patron eating a salad that looked delicious and the waitress indicated that it was a Cobb. It turned out to be the best Cobb of his life. It was super fresh, delicious and the highlight was the fried oysters. I had a blackened chicken Cesar and it too was exactly what I wanted & needed! A few drinks & beautiful views made it a perfect lunch! Overall it was a delightful lunch and we highly recommend!

Choptank was pretty good. Just finished up there. The wait was 45 minutes, but a trip to the bar makes it seems like less. They have outdoor and indoor seating. It's right on the bay so the view is nice. The food was excellent. It could be a a little pricey depending on what you get, but nothing too crazy. The service was nice as well. The southern restaurant Julep is a favorite spot for vegetarians and vegans in the Annapolis area. The relaxed atmosphere and excellent food create a great place to catch up with friends. The patio is perfect for people-watching, and the cocktails are famous throughout Maryland.
Loved the menu. From the beer choices (few but solid) to the twists on classic barbecue, Julep is definitely a winner. The smoked, then fried half chicken with two sides was a highlight. Not too smoky, crispy skin, juicy and delicious. The beet salad was full of beets, avocado says nuts. Very fresh. The chili also excellent and full of meat. Mac and cheese was solid. The brussels sprouts side was fine, but not worth the extra $2. I don't know, I guess the bacon and cheese crumble costs more, but it didn't really enhance the flavor. Nonetheless, an excellent meal, including a nice local IPA from Nepenthe. Service was very good. It wasn't crowded, but it should be!

Lovely spot for brunch! Lots of options for everyone, everything was delicious! The HUGE biscuits for the table were an unexpected treat and they were served with a yummy pepper jelly. Yum! Our server was so sweet. On our way out we noticed the beautiful pecan pie...next time!

I went to Julep on the recommendation from someone from work and a sponsor a highway sign 🤣. Honestly I am so glad I did! Jackie was my server and she was absolutely amazing. I ordered the biscuits because duh you have to! They were so big and fluffy and broke so easily. The butter tasted sooo good too highly recommend. Then I ordered the Blackberry Chipotle wings which they give you a good amount and covered in sauce. I really tasted the blackberry over the chipotle so it couldve used a bit more heat but still delicious. I wouldve also preferred more crispiness but thats just me. I would totally order again without a doubt! Now on to the main course i ordered the burnt ends special eith mac and cheese and it was soo good. The meat was so tender and the mac was so creamy. I finished it all with the southern smores and that was the perfect amount of sweet. 10/10 recommend if you are thinking of going GO

Service was outstanding! All of his recommendations were spot on. I love a good Old Fashioned, and theirs is definitely ranking near the top for me. The food could’ve used a little more seasoning — just a personal preference — but overall, everything was great. I’ll definitely be back!

Love it here. I've been twice, now, and it is definitely a recommended spot from me. The BBQ offerings are very good (don't expect Texas-level BBQ, though). The BBQ sauces are dumb good, too (you can purchase them as well). The jambalaya I had was really good - albeit, not the best I've had. The biscuits are a MUST. Make sure you get those and ask for some extra butter.

I tried Julep last weekend and I was very impressed. I had the Southern Egg Rolls and they were very delicious. I know it’s an odd combo but trust me it tastes so good especially with the dipping sauce. Also, I had the Chicken Fried Steak over mashed potatoes with macaroni and cheese . The chicken fried steak was bomb. I asked for extra gravy and my server gave it to me. The macaroni and cheese seemed like it was sitting for a while and it was dry. I asked to switch to collard greens (not pictured) and they did and they were really good. I’d like to come back and try the smoked fried wings and friend catfish.

Stopped here for a large family dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by the great service, delicious food, and huge portion sizes. Acqua al 2 in Annapolis offers a remarkable dining experience with exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, making guests feel like cherished friends. The menu features delectable pasta and steak samplers, complemented by excellent wine recommendations from the attentive waitstaff. The restaurant's soft opening was filled with energy and excitement, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.
We absolutely loved this place from top to bottom from the atmosphere, service food, coffee expresso all of the above. Everything was absolutely delicious. This is by far my favorite restaurant so far in Maryland. We had an illy espresso, cappuccino, coffee, and Parmigiana al Forna to start the night. For our main course, we went with Filetto all' Acteo Balsamico (I had to get it well done due to my liver transplant. It was still very tender and cooked incredibly well, considering I had to have it well done) Cavolfiore alla Griglia (seasoned very well. I wish it was more in a steak form. But a great option for vegan and vegetarian's) and Pollo con Erbe Aromatiche (the chicken was cooked absolutely perfectly. Not overcooked, not under cooked. This was one of our favorites) sides where Spanaci Saltati, Patate al Forno, and Asparagi Grigliati and finally for dessert we had Assaggio di Dolci (a taste of 4 different desserts. Check out our photos. All four of them were absolutely great!), and Affogato. We will definitely be visiting again, Bravo! I almost forgot to mention. This place is completely handicap accessible and also has a speak easy like lounge below.

The food and atmosphere were great. To start we had a "50-50" which was their take on an old fashioned. For dinner we ordered the special which was a prawns and scallop pasta and a fillet with truffles, both were very good. Then our waiter disappeared, several times. Between him and the bartender who was attempting to fill in for him the ball was obviously dropped on our table. The restaurant was not busy so there was really no excuse for the horrible service. It took around 40 minutes after dinner for the host to notice we were staring at the staff and to send our waiter over. Who gave us a complementary cheesecake, which was fantastic. But overall we could have had a way better experience had Vic, our waiter, actually acted like he cared about the experience. I feel bad when the chef and the back of the house do a good job just to have the front line mess up their work. Also we choose this restaurant for our first wedding anniversary dinner, because it was so highly rated and recommended by a local. This was a disappointing experience but the food was good so I'll rate it middle of the road.

Love love love this place! The food is always delicious and the service top notch. The new location has a very different atmosphere from the old one but it’s okay. Our server was great, attentive, and very helpful with menu questions. We will definitely come back.

We loved the food and atmosphere so much here the first couple of times we went, so we decided to hold our wedding reception here! The staff made everything easy from the beginning to the end. The bartenders at our event were awesome! Food is incredible! Would highly recommend for anyone thinking of hosting a wedding reception or an event.

Just made our second visit. Great restaurant! Love the ambiance, soft lighting, and great art. The cocktails are well made albeit expensive, and the service is excellent as both servers we have had were very knowledgeable on the menu. There is also a speakeasy downstairs that you should definitely visit! The food here is generally excellent. I had the lamb ragu at my first visit, and the clam dish at my second (pictured). Both were well seasoned with authentic al-dente pasta. However, I think the best dish on the menu is the mushroom pasta. It has a very deep and rich flavor, and it will be my order next time I go. Highly recommend!

High end and hip Italian restaurant with the other and first location in Florence. Went for a birthday dinner. The Secondi or meat entrees leaned heavily to steaks. The pasta and salads were enough for us and delicious. The Tuscan tomato soup was excellent. I had the Italian cheese cake for dessert and it was one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Everything about the experience is exceptional. Perfectly cooked entrees. Place - quiant, beautiful interior decorations, and it is well out of the busy Annapolis Main Street and Pier restaurants. Garage parking nearby.

"The Goat" is a cozy and charming restaurant with a small outdoor seating area. Despite the limited space, the staff is accommodating and willing to make diners comfortable by offering indoor seating. The atmosphere is described as cute and pleasant, albeit a bit loud at times. The friendly and attentive staff contribute to a stellar dining experience. The menu may be small, but it offers delicious food options along with a good selection of drinks. Additionally, the restaurant boasts gorgeous and clean bathrooms, adding to its appeal.
Came here at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. Drinks, food and service were all outstanding. The waitress was very thorough in helping ensure no allergens in my husband’s meal. On a very quiet, quaint street in the heart of Annapolis. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have been meaning to try this spot ever since the summer our daughter entered the Naval Academy, and we finally made it happen. From the very first bite, we couldn’t help but wonder why we waited so long. The portions are generous, beautifully plated, and every dish bursts with flavor. The seasoning is perfectly balanced—bold without being overpowering—and the sauces are nothing short of decadent, adding layers of richness that elevate each bite. We only managed to sample a handful of dishes this time, but it was enough to know we’ll be back on every trip to downtown Annapolis. The menu is full of tempting options, and I already have my eye on several dishes that sound even better than the last. This place is a must for anyone who loves food done right.

I love this place so much. Mexican-American in a gorgeous setting with great service. Menu is on the smaller side but everything we’ve tried has been great. This was our second time and the cocktails are such a hit. We’ve liked the espresso martini and their margaritas- fair warning, margs are served in a smaller glass and they offer special flavors weekly. This week was cantaloupe- cantaloupe!- great as always. We got the chips/salsa/guac (salsa is sorta puréed but I love that personally, guacamole is just-combined with raw red onion). I got the Caesar salad with salmon. The dressing was perfect, arugula was super fresh, croutons were crunchy but still melt in your mouth. And y’all, they do salmon SO well here. Great on the tostada as well. Posting what my boyfriend got too- smothered burrito. Looked phenomenal.

My family of 5 stopped here for lunch this afternoon after a Naval Academy tour. The appetizers were very small, ordered 2 and each had 5 pieces. The chicken wontons were dry. The burritos were large, not a lot of flavor and no one was really impressed. I ordered the steak tostadas. Terrible. Dry, more than well done, unflavored steak with little to no seasoning I should have sent them back in hindsight. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Went here on 4th of July night, 45 mins before the fireworks show. Surprisingly not busy, our server was nice. We got drinks and appetizers first, the Paloma was refreshing, my partner got the Hibiscus Mezcal Mule and LOVED it! Jalapeno poppers and Chicken Tinga Wonton hits the spot, i loved the greens beds that the jalapeno poppers were on top of. (hot tip: use the japapeno ranch with the jalapeno poppers and greens!!) I got the MP seafood chevice that so happens to be Mahi-Mahi for the day for $18. Refreshing but i wish the fish cuts were smaller. My partner got the Blackened Salmon; the salmon was great, the housemade refried beans was funky as in i think theres cinnamon in it, its different. Slaw was delicious! The bathrooms are beautiful and our server was gracious when we asked for the check quick so we can catch the firework show.

Personally I loved the store itself, was expecting more variety but besides that it was a good store. The coffee in my opinion could be a bit better. My wife got the lavender latte and I got the matcha, and we both agreed it could've been better. Overall though for the store it's self it's definitely cute but I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.

Hadn't been in for awhile, but stopped by last Sunday to browse and grab a coffee. It was busy, and several people (students?) were working on their laptops. On a nice day, the "secret" garden is a great spot to sit and chat, or to just relax with a cup of coffee. Although it's small, it's one of my favorite bookstores ever!

Phenomenal used and new bookstore! Had a lovely chat with Janice, the owner and she indulged me in my love for all genres of books. I left with a nice large bag of not only books but a neat bookmark, notebook and pen. The vibe of the bookstore is so relaxing and quaint. I can’t believe I’ve never gone into this store until today. I’ll definitely be back! I consciously chose this store over Barnes and Nobles today and I’m so glad I did.

Timber Pizza Co is a must-visit spot in downtown Annapolis, offering top-notch pizza, a great selection of draft beers, and delicious empanadas. The unique atmosphere provides a memorable experience, making it a positive addition to the West Street food scene. While the attention to detail is evident in their fun selection of ingredients and Coca-Cola napkin dispensers, there may be some confusion around table service and ordering.
Timber Pizza was incredible! The service was top-notch; you order at the counter, and then the food is brought right to your table. The pizza was outstanding—you could really taste that delicious wood-fired crust. We ordered the slow-roasted pork and roasted squash empanadas, along with three pizzas: Pretty in Pepperoni, The Bentley, and The Shirley. Highly recommend all of these dishes! The portions were generous enough for four of us to share and still have leftovers. They had local beers in cans or draft. Can’t wait to come back!

Timber Pizza – Neapolitan Flavor with DMV Soul 🍕 With locations across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, Timber Pizza is steadily becoming a local favorite, bringing authentic Neapolitan-style pizza to the region. The Annapolis location, nestled on West Street, is especially charming—with its brick façade and large, welcoming bay windows, it feels like a spot that’s always been part of the neighborhood. Step inside and you’re immediately greeted by friendly staff and the energy of an open kitchen, where dough is stretched, tossed, and topped right before your eyes. At the heart of the space is the showstopper: a hunter green Marra Forni rotating pizza oven, tiled in mosaic and emblazoned with “Timber” in bright orange lettering. The temperature gauge reads 650°F—just right for turning out perfectly blistered, chewy-yet-crispy pies. Everything is made to order. Once you place your order, the team gets to work—pulling out fresh dough balls, expertly shaping them, and layering on your selected toppings. The pizza is then fired for what feels like a magical 90 seconds before being gently boxed and handed over. The entire process is fast, fresh, and fun to watch—almost as satisfying as eating the pizza itself.

The restaurant offers a unique and pleasant dining experience with its old-school environs and beautiful river view from the deck. Visitors can enjoy Maryland-style seafood specialties such as fresh crabs, rock fish, crab dip, jumbo shrimp, and Maryland crab soup.
Our experience at Cantler’s was great. The location is fantastic, and the staff is really nice. This has been a tough season, so they only had medium blue crabs available. The blue crabs were fresh and delicious. We also really liked the corn. Our waitress was truly very nice. Would def recommend, and def come back!

A friend recommended Cantler's when he learned I would be visiting Annapolis for the Sailboat Show this weekend, so we drove over (about 5 miles by car) for lunch. Allie greeted us as we were seated on the back porch, overlooking a lovely section of Mill Creek. Drinks were quick and the food was also. We had the Shrimp Pasta and Softshell Crab sandwiches and everything was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect, down to the butcher paper tablecloths. Several parties around us were working away at extracting morsels from Blue crabs, I'm so glad we came, don't miss a chance to enjoy great food at a reasonable price in a lovely rustic Chesapeake atmosphere.

decent crabs, a little pricey with some dud crabs, but good service and ambiance. they were tragically out of jumbo and XL. larges were $125/doz. mediums were $90/doz. we got 8 larges. they arrives quickly, fresh and very well seasoned. most were good and heavy, but 2 were suuuuper light, maybe 50% full. we were also shorted 4 claws. so all in all, there was a 25% failure rate, which is higher than I'd like, especially for the price. i left somewhat hungry after 5 crabs, which is saying something because i’m on ozempic lol. picking on the deck with the water view was nice, though. and service was good. i'll probably try other options - namely Mike's and Harris - before returning here.
S — Google review
With it's reputation, I was pretty excited to try Cantler's but ultimately felt it was just ok. No complaints as far as service goes, and it's location on the water definitely gives it classic crab house vibes. The food is just ok. My crab cakes needed a bit more seasoning and the platter of food as a whole was warm, not hot. The cream of crab soup had nice chunks of crab in it, but the soup was more on the gloopy side rather than creamy. On the bright side, the whole crabs were hot, delicious and meaty.

Cantler's is an Annapolis classic and locals favorite. Crabs are fresh and always plentiful. Great place for a family gathering or taking a date. It's a bit pricey, but that's the standard for Annapolis area crab places. Kids will love checking out the crab tanks down below. Lovely river views and awesome service.

An out of the way fresh seafood restaurant located on the water. Our waitress was gracious and taught us how to approach crab cracking and eating as this was a new experience, (we live near the great lakes). We had a great evening. We ordered a half-dozen medium sized crabs, two ears of corn and slaw, plus drinks. Our bill was about $100. Tip on top of that. Well worth it. Made for a fun last evening in Annapolis.

Great waterfront dining at prices almost half the Choptank, which is a huge plus for casual dining without breaking the bank. They had live music during happy hour. We sat outside on the dock, it was a great atmosphere with live music. The server was helpful and friendly and was able to help make modifications to dishes that we would like. The food was pretty good and the drinks were fun and tropical.

When I arrived I was immediately warmly greeted and seated based on my preference. There were less than a handful of patrons dining in during the time I arrived. I opted for outdoor seating, I was the only patron, however, two people arrived within 10 minutes and was immediately served a drink and greeted by their server. At this time I’ve yet to be served. The hostess , then, after checking on the new party assured me someone will be serving me, my server then arrived right after. I started with oysters and a drink, the oysters didn’t look fresh or even edible, my drink had a hair in it . I immediately sent oysters back , I took my drink to the bar and told the bartender what was wrong and with an attitude he made a new one , this time not assembling the drink entirely and was very brief and sarcastic. Also, prior to seating at the bar I informed wait staff I’ll now just dine at the bar since I was already indoors. My experience from staff once seated was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I didn’t even drink the first or second drink or eat anything, I just politely informed the bar tender this is below standards for my expectations when dining out and that he can inform the staff in the kitchen which was right behind him I was leaving and not interested. The bar tender simply shrugged his shoulders didn’t care. As I’m getting into my ride a woman runs out yelling at me asking do I have an open tab. I looked at her and said how when I didn’t consume anything. i informed the bartender I was extremely disappointed. I ten say I’m sure he informed you , she rolls her eyes then walk away yelling well you could’ve just said something. I stopped her and told her clearly I did and directed her not to speak to me in that fashion. I proceeded to another establishment where I was able to enjoy the rest of my evening. The atmosphere here felt dark and gloomy a reflection of the employees working here.

Loved the food at this place! It’s yummy and fresh. Many places have reheated chicken in their dishes and I can instantly taste reheated vs just prepared. Their chicken bowl was so delicious! Very tender and flavorful, just-prepared chicken, over a bed of lettuce. Yum! We went with friends and everybody enjoyed their food. The view from the dock is amazing! Definitely ask to sit outside if they have availability! The service was not that great. Half of our party was still eating when the server came and asked if we wanted the check. Kind of rude. She didn’t ask if we wanted two different checks. We clearly had two separate parties in our group. Ultimately, we just told her to split the check.

Truly exquisite spot! Great food, drinks and a can not be beat location for people and boat watching at one of the best downtown harbor areas, all for reasonable prices. We went here for a late lunch on a Wednesday and were seated on Pusser's outside dock alongside Annapolis' Ego Alley. If you enjoy people & / or boat watching, Pusser's outdoor areas along Ego Alley is a great spot as you have wonderful views of the Annapolis Harbor while a constant flow of boat traffic makes its way slowly in and out of the narrow channel into downtown. We both had drinks, I had Pusser's famous Painkiller #2 and my wife got the Sangria - both were very tasty and weren't skimpy on alcohol either. For meals, we got the Jerk Chicken Bowl and the Mahi Tacos, both of which have generous amounts of Pusser's Boom Boom sauce (flavorful & spicy thank you very much). Both meals were very tasty with the Jerk Chicken Bowl being a very large amount of food if you happen to be hungry (I ate it all). Our waitress Madison was spot on with service and recommendations - thank you! After eating and drinking to our fill, we just hung out for a while enjoying the scene. Note there's also a seat yourself bar area that looks just as large as the waited area outside - I believe it's all first come first serve for the outside. If you haven't been here, it is well worth a visit - but absolutely sit outside your first time if you can, or you'll miss a huge part of the ambiance IMHO (nothing against the very nice interior). As for us, I'm sure Pusser's Caribbean Grill will become a regular spot for us in Annapolis!

While the view was great the service and food were not. Our server had the personality of a person who recently had a lobotomy. She messed up our order and the bill. The fish was dry. My surf and turf came with a very dried out lobster tail. I’d only recommend this place if you want to overpay for a cocktail and eat bar food with a view. Other than that, I’d stay away from it when there are tons of better options a very short walk from here.

This was my 2nd time visiting. I was looking forward to the food as my 1st experience was very pleasant. The food left a lot to be desired for me. I had a cup of black bean soup along with blackened mahi (which is the 3rd picture). Both the soup and mahi were not well seasoned. I had to add salt to both dishes in order to eat them. I very rarely add salt to food I order. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I loved sitting out by the water.

Middleton Tavern is a historic American seafood restaurant located on the waterfront in Annapolis. It features local and regional acoustic musicians nightly at its Oyster Bar lounge, and serves seafood dishes such as steaks and lobster along with some classic American fare. The tavern has been in operation for over 250 years, and is known for its lively atmosphere, relaxed service and scenic view of the Chesapeake Bay.
We had a great lunch at Middleton Tavern. We sat outside at this very historic tavern dating back to 1750. We had to try the raw oysters, which are local from the Chesapeake bay. They were excellent! Super fresh! My wife had the crab cake sandwich. She loves crab and said this was one of the best she has had. Fresh lump crab. I had the stacked roast beef sandwich which was also very good. Service was good, not rushed.

There was nothing special about today's lunch. My grilled cheese sandwich was overly greasy, on one side (the top side looked perfect). The "breading" on the fried green tomatoes had no taste, and they were placed on the plate, in a manner you would expect at a place with Grade D but edible food; four, lackluster sices, plopped on random lettuce slices [The lettuce made no sense as they looked like a few strands of scraps from a previous customer's plate]. The Tomatoe's taste was similar to a sweet mini pizza that a child might make for their afternoon snack covered in shredded cheese - definitely not worth the $15 (or $18) i spent. That made me really sad because every previous visit was amazing. The photo was withheld to save you the embarrassment, but my description should be sufficient! The server was on point. He was attentive and present. They oysters were presented nicely but approximately a 3 out of 5. The crabcake was great. Its taste was superior to the one we had at Bridges a few days ago. The fireplace was wonderful.

Super cool Restaurant/Tavern, food and service are great, we sat outside, the view was great. We were able to see boats in the Marina. This entire section is historic and Beautiful. We also visited the Navel Academy and walked the campus. Well worth the time

great location! right near the water, a great view of everything. service was great, all of the servers and hostesses were super polite and nice. we were seated very quickly, and were given menus while considering dining here. everything came out in a timely manner, fresh and hot! the menu has a good variety of options if you’re not sure what you want. the mussels are a really generous portion, and the sauce is fabulous! the wonton tuna was excellent- loved the wasabi dressing! great food, definitely will be making our way back!

I gave the rating I did due to the food honestly. I got the crab dip burger and my partner got the crab cake. I also ordered the cream of crab soup (soup of the day it was) anyway my partner liked his crab cake. However I found my burger to be really bland. Even with the dip. Nothing made it that great. Our server was awesome tho. We sat at the smaller side tables outside so that was cool. Just wish there was more flavor in my burger and dip.

Came here almost 20 years ago and the crab balls were just as remembered...DELICIOUS! Excellent location, incredible food, great service. Definitely get the crab balls and try the crab dip burger. Homemade Caesar dressing was spot on, too. Hope to be back sooner than 20 years next time!

I couldn’t even bring myself to order after visiting the restroom and coming across a 2” American roach! After seeing this little guy (bugs don’t typically bother me) I got looking around… the ceiling was covered with black dust and visible different colored molds. I found nothing wrong with service or staff. Very friendly! But the place itself could use pest control and a good deep clean.

Loved this place! Like walking into history! Such a cool local and colonial vibe! So very Annapolis, everything was great. Food was very good! Our bartender Maddie was great and so helpful! She made sure we ate, drank and toured like locals! Took her suggestions for other great food and experiences.

Bar & grill
American restaurant
Banquet hall
Located in a historic building, Federal House Bar & Grille is a casual eatery offering a variety of New American tavern fare. The restaurant features shaded outdoor tables and is within walking distance from other historic sites. Established in 1830, it is known for its extensive seafood menu and raw bar, offering dishes like crab tart, crab dip, oysters, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. Guests can also customize their own burgers or try specialty options like the Insanity burger with spicy ingredients.
From plenty of spacious outdoor seating which is great when you have a toddler, to great service and great food: no complaints here about the crab dip, crab cake sandwiches or the crabby patty. Also had a great selection of beer.
Joshua O — Google review
A buddy of mine and I had some time to spare in downtown Annapolis, so we thought we’d get some seafood. The Federal House looked good, so we stopped in for lunch on a whim. We had the crab dip starter, followed by my lobster grilled cheese and my buddy’s “Pick 2” soup and sandwich. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. Both of our meals were really good, and our server was entertaining and very friendly. Having the outside patio to relax and chat made for a great atmosphere—nice weather and pretty good people-watching thanks to the boat show. All in all, an afternoon well spent.
Ryan M — Google review
We stopped here for a late lunch after a long day of exploring Annapolis. Beautiful and historic. The food and wine were great. We had fish tacos, fish and chips, lobster bisque and a burger. Everything was excellent. Great service too. Highly recommended.
Cathy M — Google review
Awesome food, attentive service, and overall great experience. We visited the place on Independence Day, and we did not feel short of attention despite the venue being very busy
Alexander K — Google review
Located in the heart of Annapolis, the Federal House Bar & Grill is an awesome vantage point to enjoy the local atmosphere. Hard charging Midshipmen all over the place…and a few old ones as well. A great selection of beers, cocktails, and wine. We cose to appetizers, the Tuna Mountain and the Calamari. Both dishes were outstanding. Wait staff were professional and welcoming. We’ll be back. Thanks!

Enjoyed a nice dinner outdoors, taking in historic downtown Annapolis and listening to live music. So happy the tables had a little fireplace because it got a bit chilly on this fall day. Would not recommend the cocktails, I ended up sending mine back and ordered a house cab instead. I do recommend the cowboy burger! It’s huge, so if you’re a light eater, split with someone. Fries were excellent! Our server Ann was very attentive and checked on us regularly.
Vishka C — Google review
We didn’t eat here, but the food that we saw patrons prior orders looked excellent. They have an excellent drink list. Service was good even though it was a busy Saturday night after a Navy football game. It was busy, but we got seats at the bar right away.

Been about 3 years, and the food was disappointing, ordered steak Medium came out rare. Sent it back only to come back from the microwave well done. The lettuce was From a bag. Ok lets try a burger, that was ok $17.00 plus up charge for cheese And the frys were cold. Sorry will nit be a next time

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Annapolis, McGarvey's has been a beloved tavern since 1975, offering an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. This no-frills establishment is renowned for its extensive selection of craft beers and a delightful raw bar featuring fresh oysters. The friendly staff creates a warm environment where locals feel like family, often remembering regulars by name.
My adult son wanted fried shrimp and fries.. the food was good. My dad enjoyed his salmon, the boys had a beer. I ordered sides which were great options for a plant based /vegan girlie. Emma our waitress was attentive and personable. We had outdoor seating, the weather and view were amazing.
Vegan V — Google review
McGarvey’s is the perfect spot to soak in the true spirit of Annapolis — lively, warm, and full of character. The oysters are impeccably fresh, and the seafood selection is awesome. Whether you’re sitting at the bar with a local brew or enjoying a meal by the harbor, the atmosphere feels welcoming and authentic. Service is friendly and efficient, even when it’s busy, and the staff make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The crab cakes are must-tries, and the raw bar is one of the best. A wonderful mix of great food, nautical charm, and local energy — McGarvey’s is an Annapolis favorite for a reason.
Mariya O — Google review
Such a cute restaurant! Their oysters were such good quality and so delicious. They also had amazing crab balls, crab-shrimp salad sandwiches, and crab Maryland soup. Definitely they place to go for seafood. The employees were so nice, and the vibe was so cute. The inside had nice mood lighting, and the outside tables were cute too, right by the water.
Theo W — Google review
Easily one of the best meals I have ever paid for. The swordfish was cooked to perfection. The Chesapeake style was a nice touch with a creamy and smooth texture and delicious lumps of crab. The asparagus was crisp and fresh, and the potatoes were fantastic. Fast service and the water tastes good. I know it is a small thing to most, but water taste is very important to me and this water was good. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. Side note: my wife had the fish and chips and she made and audible exclamation when she bit into both the fries and the fish. With a wonderful golden brown finish and a nice crisp to a soft inside it was fantastic. 4.5 seems a little low to me hard to beat. Edit: The restaurant replied to thank me for my review. I assure you that I got the better part of this transaction, food and service were excellent. Will come back if I ever return to Annapolis.
M L — Google review
I've been to McGarvey's twice this week. First time was just for drinks at the bar late evening and then last night for dinner. Both experiences were great. It was super loud inside last night so I was glad we had outdoor seating by a warming stand. The fried oysters were absolutely amazing as was the homemade key lime pie. I also enjoyed my shrimp and andouille sausage pot but it was a little spicy for me.
Dr. H — Google review
I’ve been coming to McGarvey’s every chance I get for the past 2+ years and I am literally never disappointed. Their menu options are insane and deciding on one thing is nearly impossible but whenever I do, I’m always please as each item I’ve had thus far, is a winner. Their food, restaurant vibe and overall sense of community makes me want to move to Annapolis solely to become a regular at their establishment. And whoever makes their tacos (especially shrimp) tacos deserves the highest of praise because they are hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had. See photos from my visits over the years.
TALIA F — Google review
We were looking for a seafood restaurant close to the waterfront and we stumbled upon this unassuming place. The lively and historical inside was much bigger than we thought. The crab cake appetizer was affordable and delicious and went well with their tartar and cocktail sauces. I got the shrimp diablo pasta, which was my personal favorite. I loved the creamy Cajun style sauce with its slight spice. There was a generous amount of shrimp, and the pasta soaked up the sauce nicely. The fish and chips were also yummy. They had a nice crispy exterior that was still light and delicious.

Made the Annapolis trip memorable! I am not the one who eat oysters but my friend made me and I must say I didn’t hate it, in fact, we ordered more! Service could be a lot faster but that’s expected if you came on a holiday weekend at lunch time.

The diner offers an array of homestyle meals including seafood platters, fresh salads, deli sandwiches, paninis, and delectable homemade desserts. Additionally, it's known for its clean and bright atmosphere as well as its delightful variety of desserts.
Definitely a staple in Glen Burnie. Large varied menu. Food always fresh and flavorful. Great service. Good prices, good value. From breakfast all day to deli sandwiches to a nice steak, you can get it at Double T!

Given 4 stars for atmosphere because it is diner but the food (crab balls that look like crab cakes, with very little filling, banana pancakes and huge turkey sausages) and the service is excellent. If you’re in Annapolis and you have a big appetite(portions are more than what you can possibly consume in one sitting) the DoubleT is a must stop.
V W — Google review
Well this must be a bad day. 1st ordered the sweet tea, it was sweet water, then the lemonade, even worst, then root beer and it had way to much carbonation. I had a BLT with the bacon from this morning and she had a dry reuben. I gave up. Usually better than this!
Vincent L — Google review
Love the authenticity of this place. I had a seasoned waitress that made me feel at home, I literally wanted to ask her for a hug. They sat me immediately and while the menu was fairly large with lots of options, I settled on the crabby tots and wing sampler. Portion size was large. The star of the show was the crab dip and buffalo wings. Loved their homemade ranch and blue cheese. Staff was very attentive, and they have a nice selection of desserts and cocktails. I’ll be back!

Honestly, if it were not for my grandson, I would not have come. This is where he picked for his bday. To start off, the silverware were dirty. Not just water stains but between the teeth of the forks were disgusting. I actually asked for plastic eatery. 2nd the food was bland. I get it, its geared more towards the elderlies. Which is great, however, my money should get me what I want that's flavor. The waitress was very kind and nice. The vibe in the restaurant was low key chilled. Thats my honest opinion. My granddaughter ate 2 bites of her meal. My grandson pretty much ate all of his. I well, let's just say I brought mine home to doctor it up. No return for me.
Twanda M — Google review
Their breakfast is good and service, but lunch and dinner options are lacking. Order spinach pie for $20 and it was greasy and mushed. Not the typical Greek spanakopita that is flaky.
Cynthia T — Google review
Someone in these reviews said that the non-breakfast selection was limited. They were apparently dining in a different restaurant. The menu is massive. If you are lucky, Shirley will be your server. She is the classic diner waitress, in every good way possible. I had the eggs benedict, and 9 times out of 10 I don't really care for the hollandaise sauce. Not this time. It was fantastic. I cannot recommend this place high enough, and btw, somehow our meals came out in less than 5 minutes. I still cannot figure out how the heck they did that!

O'Brien's Oyster Bar & Seafood Tavern is a laid-back American eatery housed in an 18th-century building, offering a delectable selection of steaks and local fish alongside a full bar. This well-established establishment has been satisfying seafood cravings for years, providing a taste of local tradition with every dish. The historic banquet hall immerses diners in the area's heritage, while Wednesday specials offer 99-cent oysters for an affordable seafood feast.
We went for early dinner and were seated right away.. we preferred to sit by the window and waitress was nice and patient. We ordered the Annapolis Crab Cake Platter and crispy shrimp. The crab cake was all lump crab meat and tasted okay.. the Brussels sprouts were very good , the potatoes were okay… the crispy shrimp and fries were good too, it would have been good if it had some kind of sauce or aioli. It’s a good place in the Main Street for food.. The Ambiance was very rustic and felt inviting..

The Annapolis Crab sandwich was really good! And we also tried the soft sell crab special sandwich and it was super crispy and nice !!! True crab meat with nice sauces and fries. The service was great and fast. My only suggestion is that the bathrooms need some maintenance 🫣
María R — Google review
We got 2 dozen raw Oysters 🦪; Grilled Salmon with Spinach and Mashed Potatoes; and Fish & Chips. The food was pretty good, however we think my boyfriend got sick from the Oysters. The waiter had a bit not an attitude at 1st, and then started giving me nice compliments. The restaurant wasn't that full and I loved the mirror walls. Unfortunately, it seems that the waiter gave themselves a $100+ tip. The owner did compensate for the wrong-doing to try to make it right.
Ariel W — Google review
The atmosphere was authentic. Tried several different types of oysters as well as the crab cakes but definitely recommend we'll visit again!

Got half dozen choptank oysters, which were good! And got crab dip, which was watery and very meh tasting. Service was super slow for a bit so busy restaurant. Honestly, foood was very very okay overall and the service non existent. Orange crush was ok and somehow didn’t taste like fresh squeezed fruit as described on the menu. For the price and service, it could’ve been much better. Might be my first and last visit.

I loved my pumpkin crush drink and ALL of our food was scrumptious including the fried oysters, oysters rockerfeller, crab cake platter, and halibut.

Located near the waterfront in downtown Annapolis. Quaint. Decent service. Beet salad with crab cakes was good.

Nice place with great food. The oysters, mussels and shrimp were fresh and had great flavor. The price was pretty good in comparison to restaurants near by. The only negative was that the bathrooms aren’t taken care of, they’ve been dirty with paper towels all over the floor and the door hinge about to break.
