Viewpointe Estate Winery is a family-owned winery in Essex County, known for its year-round tours of vineyards and cellars, as well as wine tastings. The winery aims to produce affordable, easy-drinking wines and has been successful in achieving this goal with their 'Old 18A' rose being a standout. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the water while sipping on a flight of four wines.
Absolutely love it. My sister and I had suspicions about the place after reading the reviews online. I can tell you how inaccurate those reviews are. This place has a stunning view and delicious wine. The staff is fantastic. Don’t miss out on the wonderful wine here! My favorite was Old 18A Chardonnay.

The location is 10/10 Beautiful lake views and a gorgeous large building and patio. The server we had was kind and helpful but overwhelmed by doing cash and bar service all at the same time, by herself. It was busy. She kept her smile and did a great job managing it all. This is why we are giving two stars! One for her and one for location. Wine: We tasted 6 of the wines and unfortunately did not like any. We were surprised to get our flight of wine and not receive any tasting notes on the wines from anyone. It is more of a sampling than a tasting. Ambience: The patio picnic tables are plastic. From an experience perspective the tables bring the ambience way down. The ordering system (barcodes, pagers) and beer garden style seating made this experience lacklustre. It almost felt like we were at a provincial park seating area. We did not feel like a guest and we left without finishing the wine.
Linda T — Google review
My friends and I visited this winery while staying in the area at a cottage. We were very excited for the charcuterie box but it was beyond disappointing. The cheese and meats were your basic from the grocery store (mozzarella and cheddar cubed). Seasonal fruits and veggies were apples, oranges, and grapes. Nothing local or seasonal about them. Some sliced pear or something to complement a better cheese would be an improvement. The quality wasn’t there for a $30 box. Two people in our party got the pizza. They were lukewarm at best. Another person in our party had a hair cooked into her flatbread. The service wasn’t great. The lady who served my flight didn’t suggest any wines or explain anything about them. The grounds seemed unkept. This could have been a beautiful experience to match the stunning views of Lake Erie, but it only disappointed. My advice is to skip this winery and try any other in the area.
Ashley C — Google review
I was excited to visit this winery and was hoping the reviews were wrong… but unfortunately the bad reviews are accurate. Upon entering the store, you’re advised that you have to pick your wine and food and pay for it right away (no issue there and there was no tip option so that was a hint). We picked our wines for tasting which were served in small plastic cups and a plastic holder which looked very cheap. We took them outside and headed to the seating area which was a mismatch of furniture; nice patio sets mixed with plastic picnic tables and plastic tables and chairs. Additionally, no one seems to clean the place, the covered seating area could be so much nicer if someone just used a pressure washer to wash off all the bird poop, cobwebs, dust etc. We received our food quickly but with no plates or cutlery… turns out it’s self serve and we located napkins and cups for water nearby. Though the staff were super friendly, they also don’t seem to care.. maybe because they don’t receive any tips, but nothing was being cleaned up from the patio so plastic cups were flying around from guests who didn’t clean up their table as they left. Needles to say, we were very disappointed as this place has so much potential and a little love would go so far but I cannot recommend going here.. down the road are better wineries!
Marilou V — Google review
It's a very busy place, so plan your visit accordingly on weekends. The property is large and flows right down to the lakeshore so it has great views to the south. The "restaurant" is actually in the centre of the facility under the roof but open-aired. The food is served take-away to eat at the tables in that central area. You must go inside the facility to obtain your wine flights and then return outside - an awkward arrangement.
John W — Google review
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I wish the ambience, staff, and wine would’ve matched the stunning views. Waited outside to be served, nobody came! Served us in plastic cups, horrible aged wine. Would not recommend in any circumstance.
Olivia P — Google review
Nice facilities and great views. Music on Sunday of this week was also good. That’s the extent of the good part. Food was absolutely atrocious and virtually inedible. The schnitzel sandwich went in the garbage after one bite. Poutine was fries with canned gravy and 4-5 cheese curds. Add in wine from a “tap” for $8-9, disgusting for a winery, they truly should be ashamed.
Paul B — Google review
Super friendly staff, amazing views, good wine, but DO NOT eat. We ordered at 1 and it's 3 PM and we still don't have our food. We did get free drink tickets, but understaffed for sure on food. Have some wine, enjoy the views, and head out.

Muscedere Vineyards is a charming family estate set in a picturesque countryside with chickens and goats adding to the rustic ambiance. The staff are known for being friendly and informative, providing detailed descriptions of each wine. Visitors can enjoy wood-fired pizzas and gelato while savoring the serene surroundings.
This vineyard restaurant was very charming, with a beautiful outdoor dining space. We were mostly there for the pizza, which did not disappoint. It was delicious—thin crust, well-prepared, with the dough itself being very tasty and perfectly cooked. The staff were also very friendly. If you’re coming with kids, there are some nice activities for them, including swings and goats and other animals to look at. Overall, we had a very nice experience here.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon at this vineyard. Staff are friendly and attentive. Parking lot is spacious. Atmosphere is casual and perfect for families. Wine tastings, pizza, and gelato are available.
Nicole P — Google review
It’s worth driving to the Harrow area if you are looking for a great place to enjoy wood fired pizza and a very nice selection of wines. Muscedere Vineyards offers both. The family has been in the wine business for a long time and has earned a reputation for consistently good harvests and some award winning vintages. Melissa is very knowledgeable and able to discuss the entire process from harvest to bottling, but really the entire family is involved in the business. In addition to the wines, many regular customers visit the vineyard specifically for the wonderful pizza menu. Pizzas are made fresh to order, using delicious (often locally sourced) toppings. In the backyard of the Muscedere family home, there is a large covered patio with numerous tables where you can enjoy eating and drinking without fear of rain or too much sun exposure. Of course, it’s your choice if you prefer to enjoy a table in direct sunshine, or perhaps find a quieter seating area under a nearby pergola. There’s a good chance that you may catch a glimpse of the family’s friendly cats and their cute well behaved dog. Inside the wine store, you will find a good selection of wines. They also offer several delicious gelato desserts which I strongly recommend. There is an abundance of parking and the long gravel driveway is well maintained in comparison to some other vineyards with many potholes.

It's a great place to have a good time. Great pizza and wine. Kid friendly, they have goats, chickens and a playground.

Attended the Future is Female Market on Saturday September 13th. Beautiful property, accommodating staff, wonderful service. It was a bit crowded that day, so quite the number of people milling about. I had a sparkling wine spritzer, and some pizza. Again, because of crowds, it took quite some time to get the pizza (approximately 45 minutes). My friend and I both ordered The Parma (white pizza, no sauce, mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto and parmesan cheese). The pizza was ok, a bit cold by the time we received it. The wine spritzer was made with white wine, soda water, and a sprig of mint. Refreshing. All in all, I would go back for ambiance, but not necessarily the food.

Our first time in Niagara, got introduced to this lovely lady Melissa Muscedere, who was pouring her Syrah at Carl's Wine Club pan Canadian masterclass. Well, we were blown away by the Syrah, and when Melissa asked us if we wanted to come visit.. 4 hour drive one way.. well "sure!" And it was my wife's and my anniversary to boot. In the car, easy drive, arrive in Essex county to a balmy 35C, melting.. We got some amazing treatment, tried basically every wine that was on offer (while in the A/C), and even partook in a fresh made pizza in the outdoor patio space later. As for the wines.. there was a reason for this drive, and the wines did not disappoint. One of the warmest places in Canada does an amazing job ripening CS, Syrah, and other varieties on the property. As a nod to their Italian roots, they are even growing a Nebbiolo, and a Barbaresco CS blend. Many of the wines earn an Outstanding, making this place well worth the visit, if you are totally into geeking out about the wine, or just want a nice patio to enjoy a basic PG with some fresh Italian pizza.

Wow wow wow all we can say....today my wife and I decided to venture out in to the county. We had every intention to stop at Muscedere Vineyards..... The weather was amazing and the atmosphere. My first impression was WOW!!!!! we sat down and young lady took our order, she suggested Choices from the wine menu and pizza menu, she really new her stuff. The choice of wine and pizza was superb 👌. Edna ,I believe the girls name if I recall, forgive me if I do not have her name memorized properly. She was friendly, kind, and paid attention to details. Example, Imy wife had mentioned she love her wine chilled, Edna brought ice to put in her wine 🍷 it made a difference and we ended up buying a bottle for a special occasion in the future. Thank you for the hospitality at the beautiful family owned business in Harrow Ont, Sincerely: Michelle and Ray Oct 18 2025

We had a wonderful experience at this winery! The service was excellent—friendly and attentive from start to finish. The pizza was delicious, and the wine was just as good. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Highly recommend you visit this winery!

Paglione Estate Winery is a charming and rustic winery that offers a magical experience. Visitors rave about the La Contessa pizza, which is described as a masterpiece and possibly the best pizza they've ever tasted. The wine flights are also highly recommended, with the Rose Cab Sauv being a favorite among visitors. Despite some mixed reviews on service, many guests praise the friendly staff and delicious food.
Enjoyed the food. We had pizza, spicy Rick, cooked perfectly and great flavors. Salmon, a bit spicy but taste was awesome. Caesar salad with chicken, tasted as it should. Also had each had a flight of wines from the epic wine tour package and they were good. Bought a couple bottles after, price was decent. Waitress was very pleasant and friendly.

Myself and four others participated in the 5K Evolve Run for Mental Health and decided to stay afterward to enjoy some food and drinks. We ordered four pizzas (two gluten-free), a chicken dish, and arancini balls, along with their blue sangria. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, the service left much to be desired. Despite having a reservation and understanding the event brought in a larger crowd, the delays and lack of communication were disappointing. We were told there was a kitchen backlog, but we weren’t informed it would take over an hour to receive our food. Our server did not check in on us, refill our drinks, or provide updates, which made the long wait feel even more frustrating. What made it more disheartening was watching other tables, who arrived after us, receive their meals before we did. Without check-ins, we were unsure if our order had even gone through and felt forgotten. The redeeming factor was the manager. He listened to our concerns, personally checked on our order, and offered a discount for the inconvenience. His professionalism and effort made a big difference and is the main reason I would consider returning. Overall, while the food was excellent, the service experience fell short. I truly appreciated the manager’s handling of the situation — his attentiveness made the experience more positive than it could have been.

I’ve never written a review before, but our experience at Paglione Winery was disappointing enough to warrant one. We were really looking forward to enjoying a nice meal with some wine, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. The food was a letdown: the salmon was grey and overcooked, the risotto was incredibly hard, and we even found a hair in our pizza. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, we were hoping for a more understanding response, but she seemed upset with us for mentioning the issues. We weren’t trying to cause any trouble, just hoping for a resolution, but her response felt dismissive. We paid full price for our meals we didn’t eat and we weren’t offered any replacement food/new dish. We left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. It’s a shame!

Wow! This was fabulous. Great service and the food. Just delicious! It was wonderful here. Some of the best wines we had!

An awesome view on the patio. Great wines - you should try the Chin Chin - it's really not overly sweet. Lea is great server that brought us fantastic pizza!

We are in Essex, ON on our annual anniversary vacation, our first real visit to Canada during the first week of Summer. Looking for a special place to celebrate, The Trattoria at Paglione Estate Winery was the best choice. Driving by several local wineries during our trip in the area, this place drew us in. We do enjoy a good charcuterie board, and the unanimous decision was the Antipasto Misto. Beautifully crafted and presented with three delicious meats, cheeses, dipping oil, olives and fresh fruit, crostini. Everything paired perfectly with their delicious sangria. And we took a chilled bottle of the sangria to enjoy later. As visitors from the US, we thank you for a world class experience.
Merilee G — Google review
Delicious pizza, but the peach crostini app is unreal! I would've ordered 2 for myself! Great wine too, took home the cab franc. Super cute, must visit!

This winery is top tier for service. We went to sample a few flights while in search of a birthday gift. Our server Bernice was friendly, knowledgeable, interactive and outgoing. The grounds are well kept and inviting. The wine is well tailored to it's audience. Highly recommend.

John R. Visitors can stroll along the lakeshore boardwalk for scenic views of Lake Erie. The homestead offers educational tours led by knowledgeable guides who make history come alive for visitors of all ages.
We had a lovely time at John R Park Homestead. We have been there twice now, for two different events, and each visit has been great! Very friendly, knowledgeable staff-- it is evident they enjoy their jobs and take great care in making sure everyone feels welcome and enjoys their experience. See you again soon!

Attended the Lost Arts festival in Sunday August 10th. Fun activities and vendors to interact with for all. The recently restored Parks house is very well done and looks as it would have during the time Parks owned it.

It has been some time now since the last time I was at John R Park Homestead. This time I was on a homeschool trip with my daughter-in-law and her two girls. They had never been and were quite interested in the history of the homestead, it's close proximity to Lake Erie and to get a glimpse of how people lived many years ago. The Homestead is well maintained. Kat, the tour guide at the center was knowledgeable, helpful and entertaining to the children. This day along with the tour since it was in the fall, the children learned how to make apple cider and peel and dry apples in front of the fireplace. The weather was great and it was a fun morning to be there with the group. I highly recommend you visit them during the upcoming Christmas season events.

Cooper's Hawk Vineyards and The Vines Restaurant is a charming establishment with a beautiful patio, some of it covered. While some visitors found the service and food to be lacking, others had a delightful experience despite impending bad weather. The staff were gracious and accommodating, making guests feel welcome even during stormy conditions. The food was praised, particularly the brussel sprout dish and chicken pot pie.
Their restaurant is really good. They have a good patio!! We usually order their burger, fish and chips and truffle fries. They are so good! Since they are a winery, you can order food and wine taster flights so you can try some different wines and buy wines you like. It is a good business model!
Goeun C — Google review
Our wine club (Ontario Wine Society) met tonight at Copper's Hawk Vineyard. This venue is worth the drive to the southern region of Essex County, between Harrow and Kingsville. Their selection of wines is very good, and they also offer a full menu of foods with fresh ingredients to suit anyone’s tastes. On this occasion, we were greeted with a crisp, bubbly reception wine (2022 North Block Sparkling). The five subsequent wines were all paired with the most delicious plates. I liked all the Cooper’s Hawk wines and their price point, so I was happy to buy a couple of bottles before leaving. I especially recommend the Barrel Fermented Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon. The chefs (Nick and Jordan) prepared special dishes for our wine pairings, and they also offered vegetarian and pescatarian alternatives. The servers were very efficient and friendly, and the hostess shared some insightful commentary on the wines. We are looking forward to our next visit to eat a meal and drink more wine. The lunch and dinner menu is extensive. Depending on the season, it would be advisable to secure a reservation in advance. Of course, there is an abundance of free parking.

We were driving along the North Shore roads and happened along Cooper's Hawk and a great lunch, topped off by a great Key Lime pie for dessert. Naturally, we had to sample some of the delicious wines. Well worth a visit!

Coopers Hawk is SUCH a delight! They have dining and flights and a wonderful shop and perfect outdoor seating in a spacious farmhouse atmosphere. This is our second trip and it looks like these Floridians will be making a yearly trek to the grape North!

Located 40min south of Windsor Cooper's Hawk is a lovely vineyard and restaurant. The venue is split into two parts, one dedicated to wine tasting and the other for dining at their on-site restaurant, both complete with indoor and outdoor seating. Prior to our dinner reservations, we did some tasting before moving into the restaurant. My favorite wines: Heritage and Meritage (reds). For food, we got to try their Brussel sprouts and cheesy rice balls for starters. As for mains, I opted for their half chicken served with frites. Overall, the experience and service was phenomenal, worth the visit!
Phillip L — Google review
Had a great lunch at The Vines - Cooper's Hawk. The weather was beautiful and the food was delicious, some of our favourites that we tried were the Arancini, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Lake Erie Pickerel. We had a group of 8 and enjoyed quick and friendly service from several staff, will definitely return :)
Amanda C — Google review
This place is SO good. We vacation in the Leamington area every year and first tried this place last fall and loved it. We went again last month and were just as impressed. All their dishes are delicious and the service is always great. My only complaint is that the special I had (cod with some sort of bean soup) was only a special and not part of the regular menu. It was incredible. Also, the corn fettuccini was one of the best dishes we've ever had anywhere and it is a shame it isn't an option for lunch. This place is incredible! Will be back again in September!
Ms. M — Google review
Went for a wine tour for a friends birthday party. The ladies at the tasting bar we fabulous with great enthusiasm. Would happily come to THIS PORTION again. We went to the restaurant to ask for French fries to go and they said we had to be sat at the restaurant to eat because they are separated from the winery part . We happily obliged and went to sit in. Asked for 2 order of fries and had the waitress roll her eyes, sigh and put on a fake rude act because we didn’t want to order a glass of wine with the fries. (It was our second stop so I was taking a break from a glass). Overall ruined the experience of a beautiful winery experience.

Oxley Estate Winery is a charming winery and restaurant located on the south shore of Essex County. The establishment offers a lovely setting for enjoying delicious food and wine, with friendly staff providing excellent service. Guests have raved about menu items such as the Koji fried chicken, sticky duck wings, warm apple fritters, and perch dish. The high-quality cuisine is complemented by a great selection of wines, making it an ideal spot for lunch or dinner.
Wonderful atmosphere, excellent servers, delightful wines, did a tasting and chose a Chardonnay and a Wowza white wine, and tastings were free. Gorgeous grounds. Recommended. One of our favourite wineries on north shore of Lake Erie.

Giving a star back since the wine is so good. Take one away for not being pet friendly even though they have a huge open space. Greeter seemed confused about where to seat us. It was very busy though. I don't like the wine tasting presentation in little jam jars either.

If I could give it 10 stars I would! Food was so delicious and fresh. The burger melted in my mouth I couldn’t believe how amazing everything tasted. Sandra our waitress was incredible she explained everything on the menu to us and helped us choose all the right things. We will 100% be back. My husband is super picky, but he enjoyed everything that Sandra brought out to our table.

Had an overall nice experience at this winery with good food, great wine, and some lovely servers. However, the experience was spoiled at the end when we tried to take a video on the lawn just to make a nice memory but was told aggressively within 30 seconds to stop because “this is not allowed.” Nobody was around and given the screaming bachelorette parties and families having blanket picnics on the lawn, it seemed like a relaxed place. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to clarify what wasn’t allowed…Recording? Tripods? Phones? This particular server was also rude the entire time we were there, ignoring us when we tried to get a tasting table after having lunch, literally walking away instead of acknowledging us. The experience was overall good enough that we would give this place another try but hopefully that server is no longer there.

Excellent kitchen, stop for lunch here! Paired with a tasty selection of their wine there is a winning combination of food and atmosphere here. Excellent service, beautiful patio, great location. Get out of town and explore Essex county!! I return a year later and now go out of my way to stop. Today the mushroom soup is sublime and the Pinot blush is wonderful!!

Came yesterday with my finacè to celebrate our engagement. Was there waiting for 20 minutes didn’t get a single greeting. The table that got there at the same time got their waters, wine, and order taken. Same thing with a table that came 5 minutes after us. Only thing we got was a menu from the hostess. Not even a glass of water! Was very disappointed. Was a very special day for us but we got ignored. I could understand if it was busy but come on. The people that came after us got greeted, water, wine, and order taken before we even got a hi? No thank you.

North 42 Degrees Estate Winery & Bistro 42 is a charming destination that combines a vineyard, winery, and bistro with the beauty of lavender fields. The owners' love for farming and gardening led to the integration of lavender into their estate, creating a scentsational experience at Serenity Lavender Farm. North 42 was EVERYTHING we hoped it would be. Not only did they make us feel like a million bucks, the facilities were beyond luxurious. The outdoor and third floor seating had such incredible views of the Vineyard! Service was delightful and timely. The walk around the facilities was SO beautiful. The gift shop had unique and beautiful items. Every wine we tasted was off the chart delicious! We could not make up our minds which wine we wanted for our final choice! We would schedule a tasting again in a heartbeat!!

We dined here on an extremely hot day but the upper restaurant was pleasantly cool. Claire was our server and she was extremely helpful with our wine and meal choosing. We had the lamb shank and tomahawk pork chop, both wonderfully presented and equally delicious. The lavender cheesecake topped off a great night. It was so good I bought some of the culinary lavender in the winery gift shop to try at home.

We always enjoy our time dining here. Our most recent visit, we dined for my husbands birthday. We split the mussels, and they were good, however the last time we came we had the mussels as well and they were different at that time and better. My husband got the lamb and I got the chicken supreme. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and his lamb fell apart and the gravy was to die for. I will say, I’m not a big fan of their red wines (and I love red wine) but the Chardonnay and the sparkling were both good this time. Our server was super friendly, super attentive, and turned into a personal photographer when we asked her to take a picture of us on the balcony.

The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, with an upper floor that includes a gorgeous terrace overlooking the vineyard. The ambiance and space provide a great experience. Another positive aspect is the staff—the server was very polite, professional, and made us feel welcome. However, the food didn’t quite match the high prices. While the dishes were tasty, they didn’t deliver the level of quality you’d expect from fine dining. For instance, the fries were under-seasoned, lacked the promised truffle flavor, and were served with an odd wedge of lemon. To make matters worse, they weren’t even hot, and we had to ask for extra salt—hardly acceptable for $20. The pear salad was really good, but other dishes were disappointing. We ordered the ravioli, which came highly recommended by our waitress. Although it was clear the pasta was made in-house, it missed the mark on flavor, seasoning, and execution, especially for the steep price of $36. The seasoning was off, with too much lemon, and the dough was too thick. Once again, the truffle flavor was absent, and the filling was unremarkable. Overall, we had a good time at the restaurant and would still recommend it, but with some caution. Be aware that they are still developing their menu, and the food quality may not yet justify the fine dining prices.

My wife and I have been to North 42 a handful of times. After our last visit, we will likely never return. I had ordered a burger with no bacon. Not only did the burger come with the bacon that I had specifically asked to not have. It was still pink in the middle. For the price of food at North 42, there should never be a time where a burger is coming out to be served that’s still pink in the middle. After bringing this to the waitresses attention, the best they could do was take half off of my meal which included just the burger and a side salad (which I didn’t eat at all after I got about half way through the burger and noticed the pink) Again, for the price to dine and the type of restaurant they present themselves to be, this is utterly unacceptable.

What a great summer Sunday lunch. My wife and I snagged one of the 2 small tables in the 2nd storey "bridge" of Bistro 42 and what a view! She had a fantastic lightly battered halibut and chips and I had an exquisitely assembled hamburger where the term "hamburger" simply didn't do it justice. Coupled with lovely glasses of Riesling and Merlot, this made for a memorable afternoon delight. We'll now have to come back and sample more of the wines!
John W — Google review
We visited as a party of 4 on Saturday at 6pm for dinner. Wines are good and the service was great for a tasting but our dinner service was not great. We started with cocktails and Parmesan fries which were excellent. We immediately asked for another garlic aioli for the fries when they were served and had to remind the waiter 3 times to bring the aioli and when he finally remembered 15 minutes later the fries were cold and almost finished. The entrees were not cheap which is fine. I ordered the bone in pork chop special with additional vegetables instead of mash potatoes and was served an over cooked dried out pork chop luke warm with no additional vegetables. My wife ordered mussels and was served them barely luke warm. Based on this experience do not recommend dining here which is unfortunate because the view and ambiance are excellent. Two thumbs down.

Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery offers more than just a beautiful building - it boasts its own private beach, making it a unique winery experience. The venue is highly regarded for hosting weddings, with picturesque areas like the beach and vineyard for photography, as well as indoor options in case of rain. The delicious food and excellent staff further enhance the experience.
My friends and I stopped at this winery while staying at a cottage in the area. The building and grounds were beautiful. I tried the Sweet Lovers flight, which I really enjoyed. I ended up purchasing the Caboom wine. All the wines in the flight had great flavour and were fun to try. I liked that they served the wines actual glass and not plastic cups. I also got the mac & cheese bites. They were pretty good except they were still slightly frozen in the middle. We wished we got the picnic basket after seeing others with it. So I'll have to try that next time we visit. Overall, my friends and I really like this winery. And bonus points for being dog friendly as we had two dogs with us!

First and foremost the Sprucewood Winery is a magical and beautiful place! My husband and I loved going there soo much and had many many, amazing experiences and beautiful memories to the point where we got engaged there and recently celebrated our wedding with our loved ones! This place is absolutely stunning and the staff is top notch! Ozzie and Melissa were our guides throughout our wedding planning process and made every step of the way easy, easy to communicate, they were always available to chat with, via email if we had any questions! The wedding planning process was absolutely enjoyable and worry/ stress free! The best part is - the process is in stages so its not such a daunghting task as one might think! We always received reminders to book our tastings ( wine and food)! Also, there is a wedding open house throughout the process, where we were able to chat with other vendors and the venue if we had any questions! They were always kind and available to help, to advise at certain portions of the wedding planning process. I highly recommend that the bride gets ready at Sprucewood and to uses the facilities- their lunch and provisions are beyond delicious and Ozzie was absolutely amazing and made the day special making sure we were good and checking in! If you are planning to do a first look - we highly recommend as the grounds are stunning! Our ceremony was breathtaking and Ozzie made our hall dreams come true ( we got non stop compliments from our guests) it was beyond anything we could have imagined! Further, our hats off to Chef Don ( onsite caterer) for literally the BEST meal ever and delicious hors d'oeuvre - someone mentioned it was like out of a Hollywood movie! We will remember and cherish these memories forevermore! Thank you to the Sprucewood Staff but especially to Ozzie and Melissa for making our wedding dreams come true!

We visited Sprucewood early afternoon on Canada Day. With a bright blue sky and warm weather, it was a perfect stop for a wine sampling tour. The staff (Robin in particular) were great. The wine flights offered an interesting sampling of delicious wines. We can't wait to come back.

Traveling local this summer and can't believe this caliber of vineyard is right here in Ontario! Outstanding people, fabulous location and right on the shore of Lake Erie. Tried 2 flights of 4 wines each and left with 8 bottles. Oh and lunch was awesome too! Room to sit and relax and just breathe in the beautiful atmosphere. We will be back even tho it's a 5 hour drive from home.
Kristina F — Google review
We celebrated a milestone birthday at this stunning winery, and every detail was perfection — exceptional wines, warm hospitality, fantastic food, staff and service, as well as breathtaking beach views. The venue for weddings and events is naturally beautiful with elegant vineyard charm. Truly unforgettable!
Erin T — Google review
Great location on the shore of Lake Erie. Wines were good but the service and food was disappointing. I ordered a picnic basket and was taken a back, when it came to the table. The contents were primarily prepackaged? Those baby cartots in a zip lock bag was beyond. Suitable a pre-schooler maybe. Cheese was a block of PEI's Cows Cheddar still in it's grocery store packaging. Salumi was still wrapped in the butcher paper, and not very good quality. The whole presentation was really not up to par.
Lauro M — Google review
Beautiful winery with such a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the wines were excellent. What makes this place really special is that it’s the only winery with a beach view where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine. A perfect spot to visit with family or friends. Highly recommend!

Five stars is not enough to describe Sprucewood Shores & Melissa Krech!!!! Our wedding day this past Saturday was so perfect. Between Melissa's help leading up to our wedding, on the day of rehearsal, to the setting up of my items in the hall (which looked so perfect by the way!!!!), to answering my thousands of questions and texts, Melissa made the day better than we could have ever imagined. In 2023 we came to Sprucewood for a tour when deciding on a venue and immediately knew that it was the place we wanted. We couldn't leave without booking a date. Melissa made the entire day feel so effortless. Her organization, communication, and calm presence truly made all of the difference. I knew that nothing could go wrong because she was right there ready to find a fix - even if anything did go wrong, I had no clue because she made it so amazing. I truly didn't have to worry about a single thing and that peace of mind meant so much. Sprucewood truly is a one stop shop for a wedding. The food by 3D Catering (Chef Don) was out of this world - I have never had so many compliments and people telling me they were craving it over a week later. Where else can you get a beef tenderloin cooked medium-rare for over 130 people? Chef Don and his team did such a great job at making sure everything was delicious, on time, and all dietary restrictions were accomodated. The bartenders, wait staff, and everyone else behind the scenes were also so kind and perfect. Words cannot express how grateful we are that we chose Sprucewood for the best day of our lives. Thank you so much again to Melissa and everyone else - you will forever be a part of our history!!!

Colio Estate Winery, established in 1980, stands as one of Ontario's pioneering wineries and boasts an impressive collection of over 500 international awards. This remarkable winery was envisioned by three Italian bricklayers who aspired to create a world-class destination for wine lovers. Visitors often rave about their experiences here, enjoying delightful wine tastings like the popular "Girls Night Out" combo while strolling through picturesque vineyards.
I had a wonderful time by myself! I bought the sweetest combo called Girls next out and sampled the wines and walked around the vineyards. I definitely want to invite my girlfriends. The staff were very friendly and suggested other wineries and restaurants in the local area to visit.

Listen trucker if you coming here for pickup or delivery you have to back into the place rather than going straight. There’s a space on the other side of the building (scale) you can go straight in and then come back from there. Otherwise everything fine here

I had an absolutely horrible experience with ordering Thornbury Cider through the Colio website. I had written up a very long and detailed review of everything that happened but it was too long to post so I couldn’t. I did leave the review on their Facebook page or I can personally send it to anyone who cares to know what I went through. Giving Customer Service at Colio a Zero Star review would be generous to say the least. I love Thornbury Cider but after this experience I don’t know if I will ever purchase it again. That goes for Colio wines as well, which I have always enjoyed.

Located just steps away from North 42 Degrees, CREW - Colchester Ridge Estate Winery & Gallery offers a delightful experience for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike. The winery features a spacious indoor tasting room and an outdoor screened-in covered patio where visitors can enjoy cheeseboards, charcuterie, and afternoon wine tastings. Guests can also indulge in a delectable Sunday brunch while savoring the picturesque surroundings.
Starting with the location, the restaurant itself is very charming, but the outdoor screened-in patio is an outstanding feature. It’s perfect for enjoying the outdoors without the nuisance of bugs, and the sunset view from the patio was gorgeous. We truly enjoyed ourselves in this beautiful setting. The food was absolutely delicious. The appetizer was spot-on, and the cheese and garlic arancini were also excellent. However, the star of the show was definitely the brisket sandwich, which we paired with sweet potato fries. The brisket was probably the best we’ve ever had, and the sweet potato fries were steaming hot, perfectly seasoned, and the best we’ve had in a while. The service was fantastic—the staff were super friendly, always available when needed, and made us feel very welcome. On top of all this, the prices were very reasonable. Given the quality of the food and the overall experience, we felt we were getting great value for our money. We had such an amazing time that we tried to come back, but unfortunately, they were closed. We will definitely return whenever we get the chance.

Lively fun spot. Service was excellent - came by to check on us, was friendly, and made good recommendations. Menu has what I call "bar food" - burgers, fish & fries, sandwiches, so not my favorite for dinner. Ordered the flatbread, and it was okay - not a ton of flavor and needed a salty element, in my opinion. Had a mocktail, which was delicious. The atmosphere was fun, great live music playing. It was extremely loud. I bet in nice weather when the large doors open to the vineyard it would be awesome. I hear there are great lunch items in the summer. Will be back to check it out.

We arrived on a very hot afternoon for a visit and lucked out on a great spot in the shade in their covered patio. With a quick bite on their menu, we focused on an intriguing assortment of delicious wines on their tasting flights. The Riesling and Gewurztraminer were our especial favorites.

We had my mother's surprise 80th birthday party upstairs. It was the perfect place for the event. The staff made everything so easy for us, we only had to focus on mom. The service was spectacular and everyone was so friendly. The h'ordeuvres were yummy and presented nicely. I would definitely recommend CREW. And their wine is yummy too! 😊

We had a fantastic time at CREW! We stopped by for lunch and a wine tasting. We ordered the bacon chicken egg rolls, Korean fried chicken sandwich and vegetable dumplings (pictured). All of the food was delicious and I appreciated the many vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. The wine also did not disappoint! We especially enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Rosé. The live music was a nice touch. However, what truly stood out about CREW was the service. Our server Noah was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the wines which made our experience at CREW even more enjoyable. Thank you, Noah!

Nestled in the charming community of Harrow, Erie Shore Vineyard is a delightful family-owned winery that has been captivating visitors since its inception in 1997. Founded by the passionate duo Harvey and Alma Hollingshead, this award-winning establishment opened its doors to the public in December 2002, becoming one of the pioneering wineries in the Lake Erie North Shore region.
I'm from South Korea on a business trip and I'm staying in Windsor. I love wine and I'm getting to know Canadian wine. I came to visit this place because I was interested in this place while searching Google Maps. I needed iced wine, and she happy to offer me a taste. Vidal have a body and intense, and Cabernet have a nice gently creeping flavor. Both are wonderful. I bought three bottles of both ice wines and the Baco Noir I was curious about. This is a professional and very lovely winery that focuses solely on wine.

Lovely family owned and run winery that doesn't have all the unnecessary bells and whistles that the other "large" wineries have. Just wines, tasting and great conversation with owners. The wines are great and at a fantastic price - we ended up with taking at least 7 bottles home!

The Essex County Steam & Gas Engine Museum Inc. is a fascinating collection of various historical artifacts. The museum offers guided tours led by knowledgeable guides who are eager to answer questions and provide valuable information about the items on display. The facility is dedicated to preserving and showcasing a forgotten part of history. In addition, the museum also hosts impressive working demonstrations throughout the day, allowing visitors to witness tractors in action. The tractor pull event, although primarily featuring modified or super modified tractors, still provided entertainment.

First time here. Watched an NHL alumni vs. Essex OPP fundraiser. Parking was a little rough for a big event like this. Accessibility was decent. They need better signage to find the elevator.
