Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Put in Bay

Picked this place because it was close to the NPS site and it had chicken tenders for my son. Food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the pretzel app- it came with this interesting, yet flavorful cheese spread. For entree I ate the rice bowl with veggies and Thai peanut sauce- I requested sauce on the side concerned it would be too spicy, which it was a bit spicy but not too bad, I was able to use about half the sauce. There were a good amount and variety of veggies in the dish. Husband ate the fried fish sandwich and said it was delicious. Fries were also tasty. My son ate every bite of the chicken and was thrilled. Indoor and outdoor seating available- we sat inside since it was raining.

What a nice spot. Had a nice seat outside. Great view. Went with the chips for an appetizer and walleye, fries and German potato salad for lunch. Service was quick and our server was very nice.

Got the colossal brunch burger and it was—as the name tells you—colossal. It was also delicious. The cocktails were wonderful as well, I’d recommend the Pool Party, the Frozen Orange Creamsicle, and the Blackberry Lemonade

The service was great and the bar wa cool. I want overly impressed with the food or the menu.

Dining here as I type this: I got the Chef’s weekly special (Parmesan crusted walleye) and it is out of this world delicious and so fresh. The fish was is crunchy, crispy and juicy. My girlfriends are both stealing bites going on about how good it is. Post dining: Our server, Moose P was the best server we’ve had on the island. He is attentive, patient, and knowledgeable. Tip that man well, he is a hard worker with the memory of an elephant. I only took one star because of how loud it gets around 9:30pm. Other than that, it’s lovely sitting outside.

May 31, 2025 – We made our grand return to The Boathouse—first visit of the year and hands down the most unforgettable one yet. Why? Two words: Server Mike. The guy was a legend. He had us laughing from start to finish, tossed out spot-on food recommendations like a seasoned pro, and somehow kept a straight face through the antics of the BV and Rumpleminz crew (no easy feat). We’re convinced he deserves hazard pay. We’re officially starting a petition to make Mike our designated server for every future visit—see you in July, buddy. Brace yourself.

The Boathouse – Not Worth the Money or the Wait We stopped by The Boathouse hoping for a solid meal and a relaxing experience, but it honestly didn’t live up to the hype. The place wasn’t busy at all, so I expected quicker service and a little more attention—but both the food and service fell short. Let’s start with the food. I ordered what was supposed to be a fresh jalapeño burger, but what I got was a small, likely frozen patty—not fresh Angus beef—and just three mushy, pickled jalapeños under the cheese. It was definitely not the fresh jalapeño burger I expected. It took over 45 minutes for our food to come out, and it only took about 6 minutes to finish eating. For nearly $100 (for just four meals and drinks), the quality was nowhere near worth it. The service left much to be desired. I tried getting our waitress’s attention at least five times—she clearly heard me but ignored me. I had to ask a different staff member just to bring hand wipes, and even then, it took another five minutes and more waving before they arrived. My son got the spicy chicken sandwich and said it started out okay but turned bland halfway through. Another person in our group got a simple cheeseburger—just average—and someone else had a patty melt on sourdough with sweet potato fries, which also didn’t impress. We ordered two sodas, and three of us asked for ice water. What we got was tap water in a glass jar with plastic cups—no ice—while another table was served ice water in a proper pitcher with iced glasses. That inconsistency just added to the disappointment. If I’m paying premium prices, I expect at least ice water. To be honest, I would’ve had a better, more satisfying meal grabbing a $5 burger from Arby’s or Wendy’s off the island. I’ve had a better burger at Goat Soup & Whiskey than I did here. They also tack on a 3% credit card fee, which I’m fine with—but what bothered me more was the receipt printing out suggested tip amounts. I personally feel tipping should be based on service, not pressure. We still left a $5 tip, which felt fair given the experience. If the service had been great, I’d have tipped more—but that wasn’t the case here. For restaurant owners: printing tip suggestions on receipts can come off as pushy. Tips should reflect the experience, not a guilt trip. There’s no hard rule about tipping percentages—it’s a choice, not an obligation. Lastly, the surroundings of the restaurant could use some cleanup. I noticed a broken screen door and a mediocre patio seating area. The weather was nice, but that’s about the only thing I can say positively. Bottom line: The Boathouse was overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth the wait. I don’t plan on returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

The food here is amazing. We ate on the upper deck, not at the ground floor, quick service stands. The upper deck lobster roll is by far the best I've had. The lobster was cooked and seasoned really well. The addition of the lobster bisque on top just helps boost that flavor. The red snapper curry, in my opinion, is truly the stand out the curry sauce was beautifully spiced. The fish was well cooked and seasoned. The white rice underneath was also seasoned quite well. The rice on this dish wasn't boring like it is most places. The restaurant is beautiful inside, but you can not beat the view of eating on the patio over looking lake erie. The patio is very well shaded, so it's rather pleasant to sit on. Each table sets right at the edge of the balcony, so every table has a fantastic view. The server we had was super kind and friendly and was very attentive. Parking can be difficult it has a very tiny parking lot and street parking can also be hard to find as well. This is next to the jet express dock, though, so you can walk over from it. If you're on the island, you have to stop by. Also, there is an elevator available to get to the upper deck if you need assistance and can not take the stairs.

Relaxing, light atmosphere. We had perch and lobster bisque which were both very good. Service was to notch! Food was pricey but we received good sized portions! Definitely works recommend! Beautiful view of the Bay and sunset!

We ate at the Upper Deck, and while prices are not exactly budget-friendly, there's a reason for that. The views are beautiful, (especially at sunset!) the food was actually delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was absolutely excellent. Our server Abraham was attentive, helpful, and constantly anticipating our needs before we even asked. Service was fast and friendly. The lobster bisque was full of huge chunks of lobster meat including claws. The shrimp and queso app was a highlight for us, and the Harvest salad was also a winner. The New England style lobster roll was delicious. (FYI you can only get a real lobster roll at the Upper Deck restaurant, not on the first floor cafe area.) Overall we had an excellent experience! Because of its perfect location, this restaurant could choose to be lazy and just coast by with mediocre food and service, but they do not--they clearly have chosen to make this place truly special with service and food to match the amazing views and location. Thanks for a memorable anniversary meal!

The Boardwalk was amazing! 🙌 The Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap was stupendous, the chicken tenders were crispy and juicy, and the perch sandwich was super fresh 🐟. Washed it all down with a perfect Tito’s lemonade 🍋🥂. Our waitress was so kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. Everything was absolutely delectable—must-try in Put-In-Bay!

Very nice atmosphere and beautiful view. Was seated right away. We went to taste the lobster bisque that websites were raving about. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. A little pricey. Portions were kind of small and the menu didn't have that much to choose from

Set out by boat from LaSalle Ontario, 4 hours later we were attached to a mooring ball in Put-in-Bay Ohio! The mooring balls were part of the Boardwalk. We were charged $10 more than advertised, but the unlimited water taxi to and from our boat was convenient. We ate dinner at the lower deck restaurant and had the lobster mania meal. We were a little disappointed by the cafeteria style service. Grabbed a table by the water so the atmosphere was great. We punched a sleepless night on the mooring ball as the wind veered around to the NE at 11:00 pm. That is basically straight in the bay and we rocked around all night. There were plenty of balls available in more sheltered locations from NE wind, so we should have kept a better eye on the wind forecast. Overall a very enjoyable trip and we will definitely stop here again.

Abraham, our server, was an absolute rockstar! First time at The Boardwalk - the Upper Deck restaurant and boy, did they nail it! The Mango Crush “the alcoholic beverage” Abraham, recommended was so lip-smackingly tasty, we just had to order a whole pitcher. The food? Simply divine, from the first bite of appetizers to the last forkful of entrees. Put-in-Bay, you've won us over—this is definitely not a one-time fling! 🤗

We had a great dinner, the food was excellent - We were able to share all kinds of stuff. Everything was cooked to perfection. Staff was pretty good. Restaurant was clean and upbeat, drinks were spot on.

The atmosphere is wonderful, either outside or inside. The menu is full of interesting options. They make everything in house but the wait was minimal. I enjoyed the Lamb burger, the spices were incredible! The perch tacos were delicious. The wine menu is extensive! Please don't mix the opportunity to dine here, either for lunch or dinner. Reservations are a good idea!

Most definitely where flip flops meet fine dining! Let me tell you... THIS place is absolutely PHENOMENAL! I know we were the last table on a Friday night in the off season... but, everything from the hostess, our server to the food was absolutely top notch! The mussels were fresh & flavorful, pesto pasta was absolute perfection & all of our steaks were supurbly seasoned & melt in your mouth beyond satisfaction. I can not brag enough about everything here... Our server was a good sport & took great care of us even though it was her birthday! I can't wait to go back!

Great place to stop for a drink and fun Biergarten environment. We did not have any of the food, just a beer.

Good food in a relaxed but nice setting. Whiskey pour was generous. Interesting cocktail options. Tasty fresh perch and walleye. Very satisfying chicken dishes. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. Very busy but the noise was not overwhelming. Overall a very pleasant experience.

They said soup and whiskey so I tried the soup and whiskey. Loved the soup. And I’ll stick with tequila. I’m just not a whiskey girl. 😰 but that’s not on the GOAT that’s just me.

Good Pizza, though ours was weirdly cut into long skinny strips. Prices aren't bad either, and love that they are open late. I do wish they had faster air fryers since they don't have deep fryers for their other offerings. 40 mins for some nuggets or fries is kind of a bummer when you're trying to get something quick after a night of partying. Pizzas are fast though! Fries were also unexpectedly tasty. Cheese sticks weren't great and seemed barely warmed through and were small. Otherwise we had great in-store service and delivery.

What a disgrace to Cameo's Name and Quality Pizza. Very Greasy and Luke Warm Pepperoni Pizza. Not to mention OVERLY Priced. We sat down and waited for Service. No one offered to wait on us. Very, Very Loud! Couldn't even hear yourself think or your company talk. Not everyone who comes in wants a Party Atmosphere. You have families coming in who want to just relax and have a Pizza. Tone it down a little please.

This place should shut down. The chicken bites are horrible. Mac and cheese bites soggy. Mozzarella cheese sticks was nasty. Maybe their pizza is good but I won't order from here again. I can't reply to the the owner. I called at 1228 5/19 and was on hold for awhile so it would have been around that time. I was unable to exchange as we already had to wait 50 minutes or more.

Cameo’s pizza is one of a kind. We look forward to it every time we come to the island. It is open late night as well, which is very convenient . The cheesy breadsticks are amazing as well.

This place has surprisingly good pizza and I enjoyed the sandwich and other snacks on the menu as well. But the pizza is definitely the highlight. Good sauce, good crust, good selection of toppings. They also have salads and stuff of that nature. The location is inside Mr. Eds Bar, which is a totally cool bar. Cameo does delivery on the island.

My friend and I always get Cameo pizza when on the island. The chicken, bacon ranch was my favorite until I tried the sweet fire! It’s the best! Have had the chicken chunks and Mac bites in the past and love them too! Pizzas are loaded with items and the staff is super friendly and fun! Had it delivered this last time and they were very fast getting it to us and the delivery person was so fun! The loaded nachos are great too!

My friends and I came to Put-In-Bay for a weekend getaway and The Keys did not let us down for food!!! I loved the atmosphere of this place, not to mention the view!! Service was amazing, food was great, and price was decent for a resort. Recommend if you’re in the area!!!

I ordered the walleye and it was so good. I almost took my pants off. I would definitely go back just for that. I love the waiter. She definitely made me feel different. I went a while ago, but I keep thinking about the restaurant because of how good it made me feel on the inside 😏

We were on the island with our 2 German Shepherds and needed a patio lunch. This place not only allows dogs but it is welcoming! They brought our thirsty boys a big bowl of ice water and refilled it as often as needed! The food took a little while but our awesome server Ella kept us updated and informed. Food was great and the vibes can’t be beat. Drinks were fantastic too. Great stop with your furry friends!

Went with my family and we had a lot of fun. Heavy Key West vibes and delicious seafood and food to eat. Cocktails and Slushies are delicious and would recommend cross off bucket list for fun here at Put In Bay.

We enjoyed our visit here. Food was solid all around. I got the Mexican corn dip and thought it was really great. Our service was also great, and it was a very busy weekend when we visited. It’s great sitting by the water too!

Loved the Key West vibe—bright, relaxed, and fun, it felt like I was in key west! The food was tasty and satisfying, and the service was spot-on. Friendly staff and a laid-back atmosphere make this a place worth returning to again.

We came after Labor Day and during the week, so the island was quiet. We got excellent service and the food was AMAZING. Captain's Platter with Walleye, Perch, and fries. The breding was fantastic - light and flavorful. Great portion of both types of fish. Highly recommend.

The perch dinner was so good! We had a large party and they were pretty busy. We were starving and there was a wait for a table, but the bartender allowed us to eat at the bar. We had great service! The food was really good. My friend did have her steak overcooked but the server politely took it back and made her a new one, which she said was delicious. We frequent PIB but this was our first time eating here. We will definitely return.

Food came hot and was amazing. Chocolate milkshake was great. It was a lot of food. Server was friendly, quick and attentive. Decor suits the island. Well maintained. We'll definitely be back.

Who doesn't love Subway after a night of drinking. Worker was rude af though. First he stood there for about twenty minutes not doing anything I don't think he wanted to serve us. Then finally just looked at us as if he couldn't say a word and just wanted us to say our order now i think about it I actually don't think he said a word to us at all from beginning to end it was the weirdest thing. I would assume he knows English because when we said our order he didn't have a problem doing what we asked.

First visit this morning at 6am. Awesome couple working in there! Needed coffee, came out with it and a blueberry muffin! Great way to start the day!! Will definitely be back!

Doesn't accept coupons. Only thing that makes the prices reasonable. Not worth paying $16 for a $5 footlong. Its better to go to one of the surrounding restaurants and get more for your money.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. We did not have to wait long in spite of it being busy. I ordered an omelet and my bf ordered the lobster Benedict. The food was just amazing, great flavors, crispy hash browns. We really enjoyed the coffee and mimosas as well. Everyone seemed very happy and friendly here. I would definitely come back again for this quality breakfast.

This placed ruined French toast for me, because I’ll never be able to have it anywhere else!! lol it was sooo good and the cream cheese frosting was a game changer! Never thought I’d have to make an 1.5 hour drive and ferry ride for some French toast but I’ll be back!

This was my first time here and I loved it! The vibes are amazing, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server, Alora, was outstanding and made the experience even better. You may have to wait outside before being seated, but it’s definitely worth it!

Bar on the main drag in Put in Bay serving pizza and burritos. We stopped in for lunch and ordered the High on the Hog BBQ pizza. The pizza was good and extremely cheesey. Prices are high but typical for the island. Plenty of golf cart parking nearby.

Food was good and service here was good. We got our pizza to go, but there was a lot of places to stay and eat. The pizza was pretty good and reasonably priced.

Frostys is amazing all around! Not only do they have the most friendly staff, but they have a huge bar with great selections and amazing menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We absolutely love the breakfast, and the breakfast mimosas are a must. You absolutely could go here for every meal for a month and not be tired of it.

Best Pizza in the town. Bloody Mary Margarita was my bad choice. It tasted like ketchup in water.

The back patio is very nice and our server was pretty good. But the food took forever and was disappointing. The pizza's tasted like they were made with frozen pizza crust and the boneless wings were pretty much Tyson chicken bites with a little sauce drizzled on top.

Service and Atmosphere is nice and a good beer selection but the pizza is some of the worse I’ve ever had. Charging $34 for a pizza with a premade frozen pie crust is an abomination. Even my kids were like “dad, this crust is cardboard!” Generous toppings but the pizza crust shouldn’t be made for human consumption. The topping don’t even adhere to the crust. Italians should protest this pizza even exists and make your crust from scratch and get rid of whatever you’re using.

Frostys and one other location came up as the two best Pizza places to eat while at The Bay, I thought Frostys appeared more appealing with the frosted mugs. We were drawn in by the lure of frosted beer mugs and live music, with an overwhelming smell of Pizza. Honestly, who could resist? Once inside there are two separate sides, connected by open spaces, yet designed in a way which divides them very clearly for dining and drinking. This made easy to go to the side in which catered to your current needs, and for fast service regarding both. We had an incredible amount of drinks, and ordered two pizzas. The drinks were strong, and priced reasonably. The Pizza's, were incredible. Extremely fresh, and hot. Frankly, most of the week, food was a big disappointment - but Frostys delivered on the best Pizza, and my best meal, entirely for our trip. Staff was very friendly and pleasant, efficient, and fun. Definitely stop here, especially at dinner time...

We’ve been coming to Mr. Ed’s for years, and it just keeps getting better! Over time, we’ve had the chance to get to know Ed himself—he’s a genuine, down-to-earth guy who clearly cares about everything he’s built here. Our first visit of 2025 was extra special—being recognized by some of the awesome staff we’ve met over the years made it feel like a true welcome back. The energy is always great, especially on weekends when the bands really bring the fun! And the best bonus? Cameo Pizza right on site! You have to try the Hot Honey Pepperoni—sweet, spicy, and absolutely addictive. Mr. Ed’s has become one of our favorite go-to spots. Great people, great music, and great pizza—what more could you want?

Visited this past weekend for the first time. Very friendly staff. General manager Dave was very friendly and offered advice about places to go on the island. He even offered to show us around before we left and give us a ride to the ferry, but we were a little behind and didn’t get to take him up on his offer. Entertainment was excellent. Casper has a very interesting background story and is an outstanding musician. Highly recommend going here.

We went to this place twice on our trip. The same band was playing both nights, which is good because they were fun! The bartenders were attentive. Food is ordered at a window in the back, so no table service. We got some cheese-stuffed bread sticks, which were good but the marinara was somewhat fermented. I paid $1 for a second one and it was fine. We also got the meatballs which were excellent! We'd go back.

I was charged 188 dollars for an 8 dollar drink that I bought on Friday then charged 182 dollars on Saturday when I never stepped foot in the area. I have tried calling 3 times, emailing and have yet to receive any sort of answer to fix the issue.

The bar was ok but the bartenders weren't real friendly. The margaritas were good but they are known for their Bloody Mary's and I didn't like it at all. The food was subpar. Still probably the best dive bar in town. The location is good because it's away from downtown and unique to the area.

Best little out of the way bar on Put in Bay. Don't skip this place on your next trip to Put in Bay. Make sure you get the sloppy joes.

As advertised......five star dive bar! Great place, our favorite bar on the island. Come hungry, the food is great! Smell the barbecue and it'll make you hungry!! Nice folks great service. Just plain cool. You've got to love a dive bar with clean nice bathroom's.

Patrons are very helpful and friendly people. The patio was fun. If you don't want to use Port a Potties don't go here. Nothing wrong with them if they are cleaned. I'd give the place a 3.5. I didn't rate the food because we didn't eat anything.

Dive bar, to the max! Loved the vibe, the food was fantastic, and everyone went above and beyond! The food portions are huge! One of the best coney dogs I've had! Our first time here, and won't be our last!

The wait time was to be expected but the service just wasn't there, it was extremely slow. The food was okay, not great. When the food finally made it out it was obvious it had been sitting a good bit. The potatoes were disappointing and the portions were weak. I enjoyed the coffee while waiting to be seated, that was the highlight.

Great place to eat lunch or dinner! It gets a bit loud inside so we chose to eat outside and it was a beautiful day! They do make the impossible burger if you’re looking for a vegan option. Service was great and they were very attentive. There is a 3% surcharge on the island if you use a credit card.

During the visit to of this beautiful Island, I had a chance to get some break at this beautiful place. I enjoyed the flavored coffee. The staff was very professional and cooperative. The coffee taste was very nice with quick service

This place has a great indoor/outdoor vibe. Friendly service and great coffee. Seriously good coffee. We got the crepes- little miss sunshine, banana creme pie, and berry cheese cake. All were delicious and a great start to the day. Everything here was quality

We called around 4:30 with a large group of 13, and they were able to accommodate us right away. The owner, Mark, personally came out to ask what we were celebrating. We shared that we were honoring the life of our dear friend who had recently passed, and he graciously brought out 13 glasses of champagne on the house so we could toast to Brenna together. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us. The service was outstanding, our server Eli took great care of us, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot on the patio. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere made the evening so special. This was our second time visiting as a group, and we plan to continue coming back for years to come!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Got booth immediately even though it was busy. Food arrived quickly and was hot! Their classic Reuben and fish and chips are delicious! There is a "resort tax" added to the check!

Stopped in for drinks and had a great time. Classic Irish pub vibe with lively energy and friendly bartenders. The Guinness was poured properly—smooth, creamy, and worth the wait. Fun crowd, good music, and a relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the night

Had the Reuben sandwich with onion rings and spouse had the shepherd's pie. We had the perogies for our app. The perogies had excellent camalized onions on top. The Reuben and shepherd's pie were very good. Portion size was nice. As a heads up there is a resort fee, sales tax and a 3% credit card fee. For our meal with drinks it added approximately $10 to the bill.

My family recently ate at Hooligans, and we were beyond impressed. Many times we go to fun destinations to find a restaurant is just doing the bare minemum with regards to food quality because they are in a busy, fun locale, but that was not the case with Hooligans. The decor was great, the service was great. We ordered the appetizer that had chips (fries) and dip- fantastic. Best pub chips I've ever had. The Reuben was phenomenal, Salads and dressings tasted fresh, and my husband and kids raved about their meals too. If I had to nitpick anything it would be the music. I mean, Norah Jones is great, but some Pogues or some Irish- adjacent music peppered in with the odd 1990's American selection they had would be nice. That's just to nitpick, though. I would eat there and listen to Nora Jones 100 times if I lived close enough to do so because the food is great, and our server was also great. I love the stained glass and photos. The vibe is 100% there. Totally recommend

Way Overpriced – Buyers Beware I purchased a bottle of Caymus Vineyards 50th Anniversary Edition Cabernet Sauvignon (2022) from this store on Sunday, May 25, 2025. They charged me $145 plus tax. To my shock, the exact same bottle is being sold at Sandusky as well as my local Kroger for $79.99. That’s a huge markup—nearly double the price. I’ve attached some photos of the receipt from this store, along with one from Kroger showing the actual price. I’m extremely disappointed. This kind of pricing is not just unfair—it feels like you’re taking advantage of customers who trust your business. This is not how you build loyalty. It’s how you lose it. To anyone considering buying from here: be very cautious and do your price comparisons. No one likes being overcharged.

They now serve breakfast. Delicious!!! Everything was fresh and the chorizo was perfect for me. Just the right amount of spice. My husband has sausage biscuit gravy made with chorizo sausage

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were helped by Alejandro who is amazing! We set out front sampling wine looking out at the water! Beautiful setting and good wine. The blackberry was my favorite!

Stopped in on a very hot day. The place is quiet and relaxing. We ordered a few wine slushies and sat in the AC to enjoy them. Bar service was friendly. We did not stay very long, but enjoyed our stop as we explored more of the island.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Arrived at the winery on September 29,2025th and told the gentleman we wanted four flights to taste. He poured us the four glasses set them down in front of us and walked away and never told us which one was which so I didn't know what I was drinking. One of them was very good, it looked like a white wine but tasted a little like chocolate which was one of the ones I asked for. So I asked for a bottle of chocolate to buy. When I got home I saw that it was a bottle of chocolate wine nothing like the one I tasted at the winery. He was very unfriendly and acted like he couldn't be bothered with us. I will never go back there again

Food was amazing! Did not get any pictures of my fiancés food. I got the pork belly tacos that were pretty spicy but so delicious. It was 8.99 per taco, so kind of on the higher price range. But I always like the opportunity to try different food combinations. My fiancé got the bourbon burger and fries which he let me try and were both amazing. Service was great and got a table out on the deck and was able to see the car parade.

We just stopped by on a restaurant hop, but Madison wasn't phased by our short stay. She was friendly, fast, and fun! The Red Shrimp was absolutely fantastic! Get the 10 lb version. Eat it all, then ask for a single, thin mint. I'm sure the rest of the food was wonderful, but the shrimp, the service, and the atmosphere was great!!

Great atmosphere with an awesome live music that kept the energy up all night. The shrimp was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Service was quick and friendly—our servers made sure drinks stayed full and everything came out on time. A fun spot for music, food, and good company.

Got good reviews from a friend so we stopped to check it out for ourselves. Atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly,loved the open air feel. First, start with one of theif fantastic and creative drinks. Possible the best drink menu on the island. Our food was great; Dishes were served hot and seasoned just right. Only wish we had time to visit for breakfast! Next time.

Food was awesome. We had the sweet bourbon burger, added tomatoe lettuce onion and pickle on it. and lobster rolls. The fries were really good as well. Atmosphere was mellow and the waitresses were friendly.

Great Perch Tacos, service was very attentive (we sat outside). Live music was what we expected for 3pm, loud and cheesy. I will be back for the Street Tacos!

Owner keeps deleting my reviews on google and so I am leaving a review here. I visited The Reel Bar on the island and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The environment felt chaotic and tense, with staff frequently yelling and bickering with each other. It made the atmosphere uncomfortable for guests. Tacos were $8 each, and drinks were overpriced for the quality. Service was poor and disorganized. My server, Madison (possibly a supervisor), was particularly aggressive in how she spoke to other staff members, which was uncomfortable to witness. The entire experience felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. The team seems to need better training, both in customer service and internal communication. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my visit.

Can’t recommend this place enough! We sat at the bar for some lunch, and not only was the food delicious, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The decor is amazing, everything was spotless, and just an overall great atmosphere. Absolutely will be returning. (Pictured: the Pot Roast Sandwich)

I ordered the cheese curds and they had a fishy taste. When I mentioned it politely to the waitress, she cut me off and immediately dismissed me with "Everything is fried in the same batter, and it's that way all over the island." Extremely rude, plus untrue. Also completely forgot a whole pizza for our table. Honestly wouldn't recommend.

Not the Same Quality — Bad Experience the Second Time We ordered the exact same thing yesterday and today — two large pizzas, one pepperoni and the other half pepperoni, half bacon. Yesterday’s pizza was decent, and the kids actually enjoyed it enough to want it again today, even though I wanted to try a different restaurant. Unfortunately, today’s pizza was a whole different story — and not in a good way. Within hours, our entire family ended up with stomach issues. Everyone had to use the restroom multiple times (3–4 times each), and that’s just not normal. I could tell something was off just by looking at the pizza: the crust didn’t look or feel right, and if you’re a true pizza lover, you know what I mean — when the pizza is just off, you can tell right away. Also, the outdoor seating area isn’t enjoyable if you’re not drinking. Most of the people there seem to just hang out for alcohol, and the food feels like an afterthought. I’m honestly tired of the fake hype some of these places push just because it’s on Put-in-Bay. It’s like they’re trying too hard to be some version of Key West, Florida — but it’s not. We won’t be back. Disappointed that the quality wasn’t consistent and even more upset that it made our whole family sick. That should never happen with food.

Here on the island for the weekend and visited this place three times. The owners are the nicest people. The food was amazing, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the karaoke was so much fun on Saturday night! Jill, Mike, and Delaney provided awesome service and treated us like family. Next time I’m in PIB, I will be visiting again!

Was looking for a late night bite to eat. Most places close by 9pm except the bars. Don't let the name fool you. They had a wide variety of food to pick from. They also have outside seating. My husband and I chose the cowboy smash burger . It comes with fries or you can upgrade. I chose to upgrade to a side summer salad. It did NOT disappoint. Both were excellent. The fries had the skins on as well and crispy. I could only eat half of my burger due to the size of it. The girls had the summer salad and the chicken bacon ranch wrap with fries. They both ate all their meals. And they commented on how good it was. (They're picky eaters). Max was our waiter as well as the bartender on our side of the restaurant. Excellent, friendly service. Great atmosphere as well. Will definitely eat here again the next time we're on the island.

Put-In-Bay Brewery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Restaurant Put-In-Bay, Ohio, USA ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sylvia 4-star = amazing As of June 2021, everyone can come in in and enjoy. This island brewery and restaurant is a must for your palate. The pizza was flavorful and real pizzeria, salad fresh and everything else was large portions and flavorful. The in-house brews are amazing, plan on trying a couple or sharing tastes with friends. The seating is all indoor; in good weather the entrance is open floor to ceiling and has a patio feel. The ceiling has been refreshed to the old time tins. The decor is whimsical, simple and spot on for the mood. The wooden furnishing give the place a nice pub feel. Staff stayed attentive especially during the rush of lunch. Highly recommend for eats and brews during your Put-In-Bay visit.

Just so-so. Bahama Mama mix has changed which was a disappointment. I had the nachos which were not great. It was made with queso, tomatoes, oinion and black olives and of course, chips. No ground beef. In fact any meat was extra. Won't do that again!

It's a cool little dive bar, only has 4 parking spots but it's a fun atmosphere. Got sent here for the burger, was not impressed, frozen meat patty, super thin. I'd go here to drink but not to eat.

Our server, Elizabeth “Bees.” Really could’ve done a better job. I ordered the spicy shrimp wrap with fries and it was delicious . Food wasn’t too bad, the mozzarella cheese sticks were to a shortcoming, and so was the service. The server didn’t do a great job at checking in with us, we were waiting 15 minutes after we finished our food before we reached out to a different server and asked for the check. We hardly saw her for service.

First, our server was awesome. She was so much fun. Absolutely made the experience better. Food was delicious too. The drinks were lovely. And best it's really reasonable.

Stopped in because we were told to try the Brandy Alexander (boozy milkshake), which was phenomenal! Our server was minimal and spent most of her time on her phone. Food was very greasy and not what we were looking for. Other than the Brandy Alexander and the general quaintness of the restaurant, we were not very happy with our time there. We finished the drinks and headed out. Not on our return-to list.

A little run down but decent lakeside view. Staff was unimpressive. Cocktails were good and my Cuban sandwich was tasty. Got a good coffee here on another visit.

So the breakfast options are great. Of the three days we were here, we came here twice for breakfast. The breakfast burrito and sandwich at the top of the breakfast menu are excellent... unfortunately, on the second day, service was very much lacking. My date and I felt like we were ignored. Mind you it was not that busy as there was still some Empty Tables. But it took 10 minutes just to get water and I asked the waitress to wipe down the table because it was sticky as demonstrated. She wiped it down and it was still sticky. She wiped it down again 10 minutes later and it was still sticky. I ended up using some of my water and napkins to rub hard on the table surface and that helped. But just in general the whole time we were not a priority. So I guess it just depends on which server you get will determine the level of service.

Absolutely the best! Their special sauce and chicken cooked over open fire pit enhances their unique flavor! Coupled with an ear of corn, potato salad and roll is a must stop while your visiting PutnBay!

Waited 30 min first thing in the morning and hands down well worth the wait! Perfect cook and staff amazing with who was next to be served (had some try to cut lol). 19$ is totally cheap! Have a bushwacker while you wait - see ya next year! :)

Hands down the BEST chicken dinner around. Grilled to perfection with that BBQ wine sauce!!! The corn, potato salad and roll are good too. Friendly service. If you aren't trying this chicken your missing out. Our favorite food stop at pnb!!!

This has always been the best chicken around that I crave every year! I usually gobble down two half-chickens. Unfortunately, this year the chicken was dry and rubbery and it almost tasted undercooked. Very disappointing. I wonder if they’re buying lower quality chickens this year.

Delicious wine drenched chicken roasted over hot coals. It is walk up order and move down the line to pick up your plate. They seem to dunk the chicken in some sort of miracle sauce that I souped up with the dinner roll. It was about 1/2 a chicken, a full corn cob, a small dinner roll, and about 1/4 cup or mayo based potato salad. There is complimentary water cooler and seating is nicely shaded. Full bar is available. Current price is $18 for the meal and $12 for just chicken.

The ice cream here is ok at best. It is all soft serve no matter what you get, it seems. But I ordered a banana split, and it had no banana. If you're nearby on a hot day, it will do the job, but don't rush out and get it. The staff, however, is very friendly, and there is a decent lot to park in around the building.

We stopped in at Dairy Isle for a quick dinner with our party of 10 the other night. Besides the prices being high (which is to be expected when you are on a touristy island), the service was good, the burgers and fries were tasty, and it was nice eating outside right on the water. Pretty good. We got 2 m&m furries, Oreo flurry & a root beer float. Was there about 6pm on a Wednesday, as you can see empty so no waiting. Staff were polite & quick. Plenty of go cart parking.

They have a sign to ask for today's Dole Whip flavor, so I did and she said lemon. This is odd because I've only ever had pineapple, I asked to try it and was told no. Why would I spend $6 on a flavor I don't know if I like??? I left.

This place is cute. The prices are a bit high, but expected on the island. We ordered a burger and fries, corn dog meal, and a chicken sandwich meal for about $53 with tip. Food was great. The crispy chicken sandwich is 2 chicken fingers on a bun-they were still good. Staff was friendly, no complaints. The only thing that was super annoying was the amount of flies. There were a lot of flies at the registers. Once the crowd left, we were bombarded with a couole flies. Very annoying as you are trying to eat.

Got a burger combo today… the burger was cold in the middle, didn’t end up eating half of it. Also it was cooked so they’re definitely pre made. The fries were way too salty I had to brush them off. The coke was the best part, but I paid $20 for all of that :(

21 and older! You will get carded!!! Right outside of a hotel, we found parking a golf cart to be limited parking. Expect to walk without shade. We couldn't stay long because we were on the hunt for food, first. But I absolutely loved the atmosphere when I walked in. The music was contemporary and fit the mood for day drinking at poolside. Extremely clean facility and pools with stair access for those who might have difficulty getting in and out of a swimming pool. There were multiple levels of bars which are stair access only. Although bar foods like hot dogs or pizza were minimal at certain times of day. They did not serve a lunch menu. Which is why we didn't stay. The bar had quite the menu to offer along with the drink prices listed. Everybody who worked there were extremely friendly. And the bar area was extremely clean and kept up. I like the idea of 21 and older. That way I didn't have to fight to relax with a bunch of little kids splashing around with shenanigans. I felt coming here would be a great place to sit down and enjoy my stay without somebody else's kids ruining it for me. You could bring in a wheelchair or an electric wheelchair. But you would be placed poolside, and would have no access to be inside the pool. Shaded patios / lounge areas were limited, but provided on a first-come first-served basis. As much as I wanted to go back to this bar, my group had other plans and I had to tag along with them.

I been here a few years in a row and had a great time. I went this year end of July and we got two Big Os each cost $31 I added a few bucks for tips. I was charged on my card an additional $20 and $47 I did not authorized. I have saved the two receipts for what I did sign and bought. I called my card to explain the two unauthorized charges. The car tenders are very busy always a lot of ppl. Only had two bar tenders and he must of charged my card some one else’s drinks.

Wow! This place can throw a party! Kudos to Jason and our waitress (Taylor). We rented a cabana and the girls were amazing!!! Never went without ice or refills. Seriously, it's the best time. Check it out!

Great mojitos, there really is something for everyone here. The staff was very friendly. The sand and swings are a very unique touch.

Mojito drinks weren’t very spectacular. The vibe was nice with live music but it gets dark without proper lighting at the back of the venue. Service was nice and everyone was friendly. Room for improvement on the taste of the drinks but it was a fun experience.

We loved it here! We had so much fun. I would definitely recommend ordering 2 drinks per person at a time as they were super busy! The margaritas were soooo good! Been to Put-in-bay 3 times and this bar always ends up being the go to. My wife and all my friends love it. The drinks are the best quality and value and their friendly for dogs.

Great place to chill with friends. Love the sand outside, took off my sandals and enjoyed sand between my toes while we played bags and jenga. Fun bar stools that are actually swings! Will definitely return next year! Laid back music, live band.

So, I came with 2 of my girls. Me and one of them are 21. The other turns 21 in 2 months. They denied us coming, yet there were little kids are wandering around. It makes absolutely no sense… she’s a grown adult who can live alone. We do NOT need parents around us. Maybe simply deny drinks for her? It’s insane that we can’t even swim and chill at this bar because she needs a parent. She is grown regardless. New rule idea: put wristbands for those who aren’t 21 but are over 18 so they can still chill and swim but simply can’t get drinks. It’s that simple. She is not a child.

We go here every summer. Love the atmosphere and DJ ADubb... Ohio's version of a Vegas pool party!! Great music, drinks, food!! Would highly recommend if youre going to Put-In-Bay

This is a massively loud rap music all day party. Do not bring children. It's for the 20 somethings to drink and twerk. Go somewhere else if you are looking for a relaxing poolside experience.

Unique destination! The cave is one of a kind. The wine was just okay. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices in the gift shop.

The 2 quick tours were $14 for both. They don’t sell the tours separately. First check out the world’s largest geode-very cool. Then have a look at how wine is made. Lastly, enjoy a cup of either wine or grape juice with your ticket. Fun experience for the whole family. I would bring my kids here to check this out.

The wine was very good and the crystal cave was super interesting! Definitely a good recommend

The Crystal Cave was absolutely stunning! The crystals inside were so unique and worth seeing. Our tour guide made the experience even better; he was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. After exploring the cave, we walked through the winery itself where we learned about how the wines and grape juice are made. It was really interesting to get a peek into the production process. We finished with a tasting at the bar, with the tall pretty woman who gave us the tour in which was a great way to end the tour. Overall, a fun and educational experience! would recommend to anyone and families or singles!

The cave is NOT worth it. The cave tour is packaged with a winery tour. My kids had seen the cave across the street and wanted to see this one. For me and my kids it cost $40 for this tour. You go down 40 stairs into a room no bigger than a closet, and...well, that's it. Literally it's no bigger. The crystals are cool to look at for 12 seconds, then you wonder why you dropped $40 to do this. Not trying to be overly critical but I felt really ripped off. If you want to see the "cave" just look at the images on Google and spend your money on the wine instead. To be fair the place is a great winery for sweet wines and air conditioning to cool off... The cave, skip it.

This is a really cool place that everyone loved. I enjoyed it because it had so many different types of candy and chocolate. The only complaint I would have is that it's really overpriced. I understand it's a tourist area, but some of the prices were just out of line, The fudge on the other hand, and the fresh made Chocolate candies and such were priced right and that's what we bought here.

Bunches of candy, staff was trying to do too many things at once and didn't do to well but eventually got order right. Fudge and chocolate was good.

An adorable must-visit! Amazing fudge and chocolates behind the counter, but also a ton of packaged novelty candy, saltwater taffy, cotton candy, drinks, etc. A perfect place to sate your sweet tooth!

I wouldn't recommend going here for their ice cream, it's not good. The Chocolate Museum is now closed unfortunately, so we went here instead. The employees working the ice cream counter were pretty rude, dismissive. I ordered a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and I swear there were a total of 5 cookie dough chunks and zero chocolate chip pieces. My scoop of ice cream was essentially flavorless vanilla. I wanted to ask for a refund, but I already asked if they got me cookie dough when I first got my cone - because it just looked like vanilla. They assured me, but again were dismissive and I figured asking for a refund would be a headache. If you do want to get good ice cream in a freshly made waffle cup, I would highly recommend Sweet Siblings - that one was very good.

Was great only one downfall they didn't have shakes I've never known an ice cream place to not have shakes 😭🤔 but VERY large portions for sure, tasted great, n good fast service.... 👍🫶

Jonathan made our rainy pit stop more than worth it! We didn't eat, but we had drinks. The rooftop bar gives you a wonderful view of all the things and Jonathan was super accommodating! We enjoyed being stuck there during a thunderstorm and had several drinks. Will absolutely be returning!

Great view of the marina and one of few places I could stop with my dog for lunch. The staff was very nice, the margarita was very good! Prices were a little high but I think that’s sort of par for the course.

Put-in-bays boardwalk will continue to attract visitors from all walks of life so why not make this place truly authentic? I believe it’s time to bring in a Latino/hispanic food expert to review the taste and dishes this spot has to offer. The food does not do a good job at all of representing the culture or flavor that a cantina would or even could offer. Atmosphere and music are great but the food needs help ASAP.

We got here every time we visit Put-in-bay! Fun symphonies in a beautiful location! Margaritas are delicious! If you go online you can get a coupon for a free sombrero & chips with salsa!

Went there last night the bartender was too busy talking to her boyfriend and watching basketball on tv to help us. Then we asked if we can smoke at the bar she said no but her boyfriend was smoking at the bar and putting his cigarettes out on the bar ( not an ashtray) when we ordered our food she said she will put it in but doens’t know how long it will be because she doesn't know where the taco bar person is. We have gone here many times never had an issue till yesterday.

Definitely had some Margarita on the Rocks here. The margaritas were delicious. Unsure if they were just a bit more busy than normal for a weekday afternoon, but we didn't get greeted for tableside service. Some tables were greeted, some weren't during the last afternoon Ordered from the bar and paid $26 for 2 margaritas and a Corona... I guess that's Put-in-Bay pricing. Overall 4-star service.

Margaritas on the Rock is hands down one of the best places to relax and unwind on the island! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fun, laid-back, and full of energy — exactly what you want from a lakeside spot in Put-in-Bay. The location is absolutely amazing, right downtown near the lake. The margaritas are incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and dangerously smooth! I tried the classic and the mango, and both were perfectly balanced. They’re generous with the pour too, which is always a win. The staff was friendly, quick with service, and really added to the overall good vibe of the place. As for the food, it totally exceeded my expectations. The tacos were loaded with flavor and fresh ingredients, and the chips and salsa were the perfect starter — crisp and zesty with just the right kick. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or planning to settle in for a few hours of fun, Margaritas on the Rock delivers. Everyone was professional and very, very nice. The bartenders made excellent drinks even the bar glasses were so cute. It was very clean The servers were very attentive. We will definitely be coming back and most definitely recommend this place.but

Visited PIB with my husband, we love margaritas and decided to try out this place. Very lovely experience here, the bartenders were super welcoming and greeted my husband and I as soon as we walked in. Drinks were absolutely delicious and wonderfully made. We came back later for dinner and left very satisfied, the service was great and the food came out quick and was very filling. Both servers and bartenders were very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend the scorpion margarita with their spicy rim as well as the birria tacos!

Lovely experience at Margaritas on the Rock! Staff was attentive and very pleasant. My wife and I will definitely be coming back next weekend! The margaritas? Hands down, the best on the island.

We are here on vacation and came here because I read that the tacos were good. We arrived here at 6:30pm and was told the kitchen was closed due to the weather. The storm was done and it was not raining. This was very disappointing. There was also a couple sitting adjacent from us at the bar smoking and this shouldn’t be permitted due to Ohio being smoke free. Even though it was outside, it was still blowing right in our faces. Sadly we won’t be back.

Such a cute fun place! Great music and server was super attentive. Got the drink special and snagged seats when they opened up. I was only disappointed I couldn’t get a tee shirt in the size I wanted.

Love the look and themed details of this bar unfortunately it never has many people. I have skipped it a few times because I don't want to be the only one there. We need some lights and sirens every hour or something to draw people in.

Had a great time watching Jason Saitta perform here on the outside patio. Getting service was sometimes a little clunky but once we established ourselves with the server in our section the drinks kept flowing. The inside was massive and dark, it felt like two different places, the patio was a bright lively party and the inside was a dark cafeteria with a bathroom at the end. The Men's bathrooms were nice and clean but my wife said the women's was a disaster by 6pm. What can you do Bachelorette parties are gonna bachelorette 🤷‍♂️? Another feature of the giant empty hall was a window serving cafeteria type food, didn't try anything so can't comment on that. Overall I would say your enjoyment depends directly on who's performing that night.

This was a treat! Not as busy as expected, especially a Holiday weekend. Still fun time, tasty drinks, and a great band. Didn't notice any food. Came in for drinks. Bartender was very nice.

Great bands on the weekend. We were lucky enough to see The Fulcos perform and what a show they gave us!!! Rock, pop, country, they do it all!!! I will definitely be back! I also love the afternoon patio performances. They always seem to bring in great artists and singers!!! Its the happening spot on the island during the full swing of summer when 930pm arrives!!!😄

Fun bar. Kyle the guitarist thinks he's a comedian. Not funny, but a great singer. He might be funnier when he's not hung over. Come to the bar, even if Kyle is singing. It's still a good time. All jokes aside, it's my favorite bar on the island. Low key, and good music.

Terrible beer, terrible service, terrible live entertainment by some random tigers fan with a guitar. Five stars, would recommend. Detroit what?! Go Reds, who dey!

What an amazing place it was a little slow but they had trixy tang playing there and what a show that was so much energy . Somebody was asleep at the wheel as far as the parking for the golf carts. They should not be charging $3 an hour to park a golf cart they're going to lose out there

Not only was the service very poor, but when they got my order wrong the first 2 times (buffalo chicken wrap minus cheese and ranch), this was what they brought me. My friends that ordered the exact same thing and both my initial two orders had large cubes of chicken in them. When they finally agreed to remake my order, this was what they brought me. It makes sense why this place was empty when we got here and empty when we left. Edited to add: someone pointed out that it was like chewed up chicken, and that's exactly what it looks like.

Waitress was great. Nice, got us plenty of refills and made sure our food was correct. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was amazing and not to mention the fries were great.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Went for dinner with 12 in a party. They had no steak..no bread.no seafood...no soup of the day. 1 waitress who I must say did amazing while the manager sat at the bar watching the waitress struggle and drank her drink..on her cell phone and laughed at the waitress. We weren't the only people there. Another table of 12..2 tables of 2 more with 1 waitress. No one was at the bar and she still didn't assist the waitress with even drinks..the bathrooms were dirty. Trash over flowing. No soap. And the music for a family based restaurant was vulgur. Do not eat there if you want a fine dining experience or a good dining experience even.

Went here for a birthday dinner and wasn't thrilled. It was mostly empty, but our server kept walking away before we finished ordering. My food was over cooked and over priced. They did correct my food and give me a discount, but there was also no salt or pepper on the tables, nothing on the baked potato except for butter on the side, so there was nothing really special for what we paid. I was very disappointed.

Went there for steak and sea food as advertised Was seated and the waitress brought drinks. For my and my party to only find out they had one steak and no sea food. When I asked why they advertised as a seafood restaurant and had no sea food. She told me the internet is fake. Even tho she was wearing a tippers shirt that said steak and seafood. She had no explanation I asked if we had to pay for the drinks based on the fact I was only seated due to false advertisement. She insisted I did. We had a water and two iced teas. Tourist beware. The food on others plates looked like food from a senior home. Eat at your own risk

Horrible place to eat we waited an hour and a half on our food, they ran out of steak after they waved us in because they said they have steaks as that’s what we were looking for. No breads. No soups. Half the shit on their menu they don’t even have. Worst place I have ever ate at ever. Now I understand why it was dead. Also you’ll get a salad with a penny size amount of ranch for it.

We Love This Location Was Phillips Sea Foods It’s A Great Location And We Love Seafood The Staff Was Extremely Polite And Very Friendly They Were Great. Very Organized Clean And The Seafood Buffet Was Always Filled Neat And Hot Foods Great Selection Of Prime Rib A Must Go To Place We Went For Our Anniversary Dinner. We Will Definitely Go Back To Ocean City Maryland

Having walked around the island for hours looking for decently priced food I stumbles across this place when at Perry's Cave. The food is great and they do not skimp on the portions, can not suggest this place enough. There are dozens of other restaurants to splurge at but if your look for a quick bite and food that taste good at a more than decent price THIS IS IT!!!

I was so excited to get a good filling breakfast that I went back for their shrimp tacos for lunch. I would go back to try their other meats if I had the chance. The Pico de gallo was delicious and the Jarrito was the cherry on top.

Well maintained and fairly difficult course. Holes provide some challenge without being too difficult. Also a maze and butterfly house on site.

The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. The stairs are steep, you have to duck your head if tall not to hit the cave ceiling. You can see the whole cave from the entrance. I wish it were longer, with more to see. Cute lil short trip.

Loved Put in Bay! Would recommend going on a weekday so the ferry isn't too crowded. Such a fun day trip for families and friends! Definitely get a golf cart for larger groups, as the hike back from our rental place was very long. The Keys restaurant was a favorite. Went to Perry's Monument for a fabulous view! Overall, great for kids, giving them lasting memories!

The cave tour is actually quite nice. It's an amazing little cave. It's nicer than others in the area, and the tour guide does give some interesting history surrounding the caves lore and previous owners. It is a very short tour, though but the views are very nice. It's a good family activity on the island for sure. The steps going down into the cave, though, are very thin and slippery, so just watch out for those.

Absolutely amazing fun, tough putt putt course. The water hazards! Fun place. The cave got good comments it's slippery and you need some decent shoes on. The gift shop is so amazing! Geodes that you can have broke open right there! All kinds of stones and absolutely beautiful stunning jewelry! Definitely a must visit! Friendly helpful staff too! Visited multiple times over the years and always a pleasant experience. Lots of activities for families/children (Rock climbing wall, miniature golf, large outdoor maze, butterfly house, gifts shops, treats/snacks, and of course ... the cave tour!). Property and related activities appear to be adequately maintained and pricing is reasonable. Cave tour is a personal favorite, though increased wait times and sellouts for the cave may occur during peak hours/season. Guided tour is fairly short (approx. 30-45mins) and is the perfect amount of time for any impatient children or impatient boomer-aged adults.

It is a wonderful place to spend a good portion of your day. The put put is a beautiful course that has a few easy holes, but all in all, it will challenge anyone with its more difficult holes and water traps with some hidden passage ways along the way. The cave tour is expertly guided and provides great pieces of history about the island, its natives and the war of 1812. Other attractions are there as well!

I visited the outside bar last Saturday and received the BEST service from Paul. He was so kind and he was my hero that afternoon! I may have been a little over served from places that I visited earlier in the day and he certainly picked up on that. I was served water and bread and it was the best thing I could have asked for! So if you've been over served in Put in Bay, go see Paul at the Blu Luna Bar. He'll fix you right up! Get some food while you're at it. 😊

Such a great find that I really don't want to share this secret. I had the Lake white fish. Very mild, flaky and moist. The batter on the fish is outstanding. Light, airy, crispy and not oily. Perfect meal on cold, damp and gray March saturday evening.

We ordered 1 burger, 1 salad, and 1 Italian sausage sandwich. We waited over 30 minutes during the lunch hour. The sausage had to be sent back because it was nearly ice cold in the center. No discounts or apologies offered when the bill came.

Out of all of my Put-in-Bay experiences, this was the WORST! Very unsatisfied with the food and management. The manager on duty was very sarcastic and got back in our faces about everything. If I could give a zero, I would. If you wish to pay $30.00 for a "large portion of fresh caught" perch, then be my guest. I will NOT be returning to the Blu Luna in my future Put-in-Bay adventures.

We spent two nights on Put-In-Bay, and both evenings ended at Blu Luna. Classy outdoor piano bar; excellent service; great atmosphere; and excellent lobster bisque. A highlight of our trip...will definitely return.

Not happy with the food wasted $120. On not so great food. 1 person in party had spaghetti and another had i think chicken alfredo.. They didnt like it told waitress and she didnt take it off the bill.... There plate had 3/4 food still in the plate!!! very pricey $$$$$ food terrible..

I think this place is overrated. We got a burger ~12$ and a pasta ~ 26$ and both were just okay and not good, same as staff. They take advantage of the fact that the city is a tourist destination and the quality is low.

Just had our boat brought up from Florida, so this was our first visit to put in bay ever. Everyone said to put the Round House on our list. Went up on a weekday on purpose to get the lay of the land before we return on a busier weekend. Perhaps we arrived on the line cleaning day, but our Miller Lt drafts were absolutely undrinkable. Again, maybe it was just poor timing but a simple domestic draft in a tourist area should be palatable. Other than that, the property seemed nice with some historic mentions on the walls, a large outdoor area in the back. Will probably return but will order bottle beer.

Can’t rate the food or the service, we just happened to step inside when we heard the music. This is clearly the place to be on Put-in-Bay. Most of these people seemed like regulars that really enjoyed each other, and the music was awesome. If we weren’t short on time, I’d have stayed and tried to make friends. What a fun crowd!

You meet alot of people on Put n Bay and some just stand out! Kate, was our bartender, it was Sunday so we were able to chit chat.. not only were the drinks and energy great the service was even better! Hope to see you next year!!

ERIC is very rude but everybody else was amazing!! I appreciate the hospitality and the good food and drinks. My boss took us out on a work trip to celebrate. Eric was the only one that was rude to us and everyone else was lovely and we will be back!!

Cutest and tastiest place to get coffee on the island. I got a specialty drink that was made with cold brew, chai, caramel, and vanilla, and it was delicious. The service was great as well.

We always went to DJs ice cream! But since they closed down, we tried this place. I'm not sure why it doesn't have more stars.... The ice cream was to DIE for. I got unicorn dream and cotton candy!!! Delicious. .my son got a piece of cheesecake , and my husband got the 12 layer chocolate cake! So good. Atta helped us and he was awesome. It was super busy, so be patient with the workers. Portions are huge! Prices are "cheapish" for the Island. Will definitely be returning here. .

The perfect place on the island to get hot or cold chocolate beverages. The ice creams and drinks were both pretty good. The place was moderately crowded when we arrived there at 11 am on a Sunday. However, the service was quick and I'll be sure to give them a visit every time I go back on the island.

Wonderful German Chocolate. Had a history of chocolate with plenty of candy, chocolate, popcorn, ice cream, fudge, cake..EVERYTHING chocolate. Definitely a must go for yourself and great place to grab gifts to bring home. Also had seating outdoors with a small germen hot food restaurant where we sat and ate amazing ice cream. The popcorn was "the best caramel popcorn" the person i brought it to had ever had. The décor of the museum was very cool with a great history of chocolate. My friends all enjoyed their ice cream very much. We did not try the hot food outside at the Biergarton which is attached to the museum but not part of it.

I only got fudge and I was very unimpressed. I Can't say I have ever been served a 1/2 lb of fudge as a blob before this. Very hard to divide this up and to eat it. Not to mention, she wrapped it in paper so half the carmel stuck to the paper. Would not recommend this place if you want fudge.

If you skip the Chocolate Cafe when on Put in Bay island you've cheated yourself. Various Chocolates and others from Chocolate fudge to walnut maple fudge. Plus other Chocolate treats.

Stopped to try a quick snack at this taco stand. Had plenty of different choices of meats and toppings. Just okay and $5 each Taco.

Great little place. No dining area. Ordered a taco with chicken. Toppings are your choice like at the popular national burrito chain. Check out photo of the $5 taco. Best heavy snack deal in Put in Bay.

Tried the chicken taco at Lester’s and it was amazing. Fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Definitely 5 stars

Tiny burrito for twice the price of chipotle, and not as good. $12 for a tiny burrito, $5 for a small piece of generic DiGorno's pizza, $4 for fries. Total rip off.

Service was slow, especially considering that the line wasn't very long. Tacos were okay and the meatball grinder was good. Not the best food on the island but a good stop for a cheaper meal when you don't want to go to a sit down.

The food was not good at all. They took tortillas straight out of the package and put in a panini grill for 30 seconds. These tortillas still tasted raw and the meat was precooked in a container. Avoid this spot with all your might. The tacos are not worth it at all.

A perfect stop that offers German cuisine and drinks plus a shady spot to enjoy them. We stopped and enjoyed a few drinks which were very tasty as well as had an authentic pretzel!

My favorite bar on Putt in Bay. It is the perfect German beer garden. Not only was I able to get a large liter of German beer, but play corn hole and relax. They had a huge beer selection and plenty of other options. A must visit. PROST!

This has quickly become our main reason for visiting the island. Jami will take very good care of you. The selection of beers and cocktails is quite large and covers all tastes. I was quite happy with my liter of Octoberfest at my most recent visit

Great landing spot when you get off the ferry. The beer is great the bratwurst was one of the best that I have had. The sauerkraut was also great. Nice place to hang out on a nice weather day and Jami was great about telling us where we could go to enjoy the island with kids.

Great place to start your Put-N-Bay trip. It’s about a two minute walk right off the ferry and usually it’s the first spot you’ll find where you can be seated under 20 minutes. They have fun island shots and specialty cocktails to taste along with a full kitchen.

Jami was absolutely amazing! We did a pedal wagon of multiple stops and she was by far the most hospitable server we had. We loved the atmosphere and ping pong to enjoy while we drank. Thank you again Jami for your knowledge of the menu and great service!

We had the unfortunate experience of visiting this bar back in 2021, and it was, without a doubt, the worst service we've ever encountered at a bar. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted and given menus, but after we settled at our table, it took over 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. There were 2-3 bartenders present, yet they had their backs turned to us, and one was preoccupied with her phone. The cleanliness of the bar left much to be desired; the dirty glasses that were at our seat when we arrived remained there until we left. No one ever inquired if we wanted another drink, and we ultimately had to ask for our check in order to leave. Honestly, we could have walked out without anyone noticing! While we waited for someone to take our order, we noticed another group come in, sit down, and then leave in frustration after receiving no attention. One of the bartenders simply shrugged, collected the menus, and returned to her phone. It was disheartening because the bar itself is beautiful, and with its unique history as the only speakeasy on the island, it could be a fantastic destination. Unfortunately, the service we experienced was unacceptable. Since that visit, we haven't returned, and while I hope things have improved, I doubt we'll ever go back to find out.

We absolutely love the laid back atmosphere the Red Moon has in comparison to other bars an the island and bartenders know how to mix a good cocktail.

We had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was amazing and the bartenders all went out of their way to make us have a fantastic time. We went on a Friday night and it was very calm and relaxed. On Sunday it was definitely hopping and they still served us extraordinarily fast. I have seen some reviews say that it’s too loud to be a speak easy, but you have to remember you’re in Put In Bay on the weekend 💁‍♂️. I cannot remember the name of the bartender the first night but he was really efficient and funny. The second night Delaney took care of us and she made the experience amazing! Not to mention the drinks were perfect! I look forward to coming back!

Went to Red Moon tonight and ordered a whiskey sour…did not taste like any whiskey sour I’ve ever had. Was very sour and tasted like ingredients had gone bad. The bartender poured it in a new glass and added soda water and ice to fix it and said I would be charged regardless if I didn’t like the drink. First picture is what I originally ordered and second picture is when he tried to “fix” it. Terrible customer service…especially after waiting 15 minutes to get my drink after ordering. Not to mention, this is no longer a speakeasy atmosphere. When I came here before volume levels were strictly enforced and the lighting was dim…like a speakeasy should be. Will not be returning.

Keegan Turner... best bartender we have ever had at Red Moon. Kind, entertaining and all around wonderful human. Will come back next year and hopefully he will be here. Great experience!

The food and coffee was ok, but the service was wonderful. They were fast and efficient. They had a long line that they worked very well. This location was much better than the dockside one.

Noddi’s Java is our go-to coffee spot every time we’re on the island. The espresso drinks are top-notch, and the pastries are fresh and delicious. It has a cozy, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for morning relaxation or a mid-day pick-me-up. Friendly staff, fast service, and great coffee—what more can you ask for?

Best breakfast + coffee on the island. These guys make a serious bacon, egg, and cheese and have some serious bagels. Everything bagel with cream cheese is the special. The chief barista, Jackie, knows how to make mean coffee. I have been drinking iced vanilla coffee every day for 4 years, and this is by far the best iced vanilla coffee I have probably ever had, besides the one I had from Noddi's Java yesterday. 10/10 would recommend great view, great people, and great vibes.

I loved this place! It was very affordable and had an amazing view of the lake. I had a great time without spending much money. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature on a budget. Highly recommended!

It was a very small, quaint, local ice cream shop. It had soft serve available and around 10 regular flavors of scoop ice cream. The cookies were homemade, and they were very, very good. We got the chocolate chip and sprinkle sugar cookies. Highly recommend both, especially the sprinkle sugar cookies. Reasonably priced.

Such an adorable little ice cream stop perfect for kids and adults alike. A nice cozy spot to have a rest and a snack. There’s a playground for the kids which my two boys absolutely loved along with ample seating. The service is wonderful and fast. I loved that the ice cream and treats were not overly sweet, which is a challenge you could tell that everything was scratch made we really enjoyed the Brie and jam dip.

We got a chicken pimento sandwich and 2 scoop cone. The sandwich bread was amazing. It came with a fresh salad and crazy pickles. Very delicious and unique. The coffee ice cream was the best we have ever had and the fresh waffle cones smelled so good. The shaded patio was a vibe.

We loved this shop during our latest visit to PIB! It must be newer, I haven't seen it before. We stopped in to check it out and I smelled the freshly made waffle bowls, so of course I had to get some ice cream. They waffle bowl was so good, as was the ice cream. The employees were so kind! It was absolutely a welcoming atmosphere. The shop has ice cream, baked goods and even snack items such as veggies/crackers with dip. I would highly recommend stopping here for ice cream while on the island!

We stopped by for a sweet treat in the afternoon. The ice cream is delicious, the ice cream sandwiches are delicious, the milkshakes are delicious, the cheesecake and key lime pie are delicious. Sense the theme? You literally cannot go wrong with anything sweet on their menu. Service and staff were just as friendly and sweet as their desserts.

Sweet Siblings is an absolute gem in downtown Put-in-Bay! The candy selection is nostalgic and fun, and their homemade fudge is incredible—easily some of the best we’ve had. The store is bright, welcoming, and always a hit with kids and adults alike. Don’t leave the island without stopping here for a sweet treat!

The service is amazing, the choices plentiful, and the ice cream delicious but the only complaint is that the ice cream sandwiches are premade and frozen. The sandwich is still yummy but I had to wait for it to thaw. By the time it was editable everyone else was done with their ice cream. Putting one scoop between two cookies isn’t time consuming but the almost 15 mins I had to wait (cooler day) to be able to bite into the ice cream sandwich was.

Dropped in here 7/26/19 with my wife on a hot day, only to see a "cash only" sign☹️ However! The owner said we could have anything free and pay him on our next visit!! He does it all the time; and had for a family of four prior to us! That's amazing in 2019. The outside area is beautiful! Comfortable chairs under gorgeous shade! Wonderful ice cream and sorbets 💯👍✨ We will return soon! Highly recommend 👌☘️

Owner was lovely and super patient with us. Prices are good and it's right outside of town. The outdoor garden dining area was a perfect place to watch the sunset. Lots of seating and privacy!

DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY (Specifically don't go if you are gluten free). We went on 6/29/22 and the woman working there attempted to explain my own allergy to me when asking nicely if she knew what was gluten free. She was pretty nasty and rude when I tried to explain what gluten was when she was attempting to explain dairy free to me instead? Terrible customer service and experience. Wish I could give it zero stars.

We stopped by Village Bakery & Sandwich Shoppe with 12 hungry people (kids ages 2-13 and adults). We all loved it! Everything they made is from scratch and you can tell! The bakery items are delicious and hard to choose just one. The breakfast sandwiches are also made homemade from scratch, even the croissant sandwiches. The Iced Vanilla Coffee is also amazing and so is the iced tea. The prices are very good too - an inexpensive place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or dessert for sure while at Put-in-Bay. We'll be going back for sure.

This would be a great place to open a coffee shop. Wanted something other than Starbucks so stopped in here. They only have coffee....just plain old coffee. Nothing iced, 1 frozen choice, and cannot do anything special. My husband asked for an Americano and the 2 people looking had NO idea. There was a lady in the back who said they could do it and my husband told the girl it was 4 shots of espresso with hot water or coffee.

This is a great place to get a premium cup of coffee and pastries in the morning here on the island. It sure beats the heck out of gas station coffee and donuts. The ladies in here are friendly and the service is good. My #1 place to get my morning started

Baked goods are great. Coffee not so much. Very bitter. The chocolate croissant helps with the bitterness. 😁

Walked around the main strip, and the corner of the area. Can't seem to find the place. Hoping for coffee and a light breakfast. I think Zen Cafe has the place now.

Disappointed on a recent visit to Put-In-Bay. Google indicated Noble Cut Distillery to be open, however doors were locked when we stopped by after 1pm on 9/12/2024. (We have been very pleased with service and vodka on previous visit.)

This little distillery is off the beaten path, so if you blink you might miss it. They make limoncello, limecello, orangecello, grapefruitcello, various types of whiskey, and vodka. We sampled everything that they sell and loved all of it. We bought the limoncello and peach whiskey to take home with us. The distillery is owned by the people who own and operate the Benson Forge Shiphouse. They have an award-winning vodka in a bottle shaped like the Benson. Great gift idea for those who love Vodka!

Stop here for a bit. The staff was friendly, and I got a hat for my dad 😊

We got a two tastings of five which was the perfect amount. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful and guided us through each tasting / sample and answered all of our questions. I even purchased a bottle afterwards. highly recommend to try! *This is just a tasting room and retail store, I don't believe they have any food options but they do have water which is helpful.

No food, we dis a tasting and bought some of their product. Nice place!

Awesome island experience

Nut Shack sits at the mouth of the state park entrance gates, and showcases an incredible view of the lake, by the Put N Bay sign photo op. We got breakfast here one morning, prices were incredibly cheap, but portions were small too. Still, for what it was, the food was hot, fresh, and some of the best ten minute sausage, gravy and biscuits that I'd ever ate. Perfect for soaking up the night befores drinking ventures. Fast and tasty quick stop option.

Seriously some of the best brisket and pulled pork I have ever had. Definitely the best food on PIB. Portions are huge!

Had the Jamaican day special. Authentic Jamaican seasoned food! Can’t beat it!

Very good service and some of the best hotdogs I’ve ever eaten.

It's the Nut Shack

Wife and I stopped by to get a quick bite while on the island, and the burgers we got were good, not great. Honestly surprised it was just meat and cheese, for it's price. That's not the reason why I'm here, the service on Sunday afternoon was wanting to say the least. The staff made us feel as if we were inconveniencing them with our presence. It was a very awkward and unwelcoming feeling as most of the staff was reluctant to bother putting their phones down to even take a carryout order. The wait was surprising, close to 15 min on 2 burgers and an order of fries. Not a bad time if it was lunch or busy, but we were literally the only people in their for food. Otherwise it was mostly apathetic workers and what appeared to be some sort of daycare with children running about. You all could do better T&Js, but with what we saw we won't be back and recommend, unless something drastically changes, that others cross this one of your list unless your into feeling like an inconvenience and overpaying on ok food and terrible service. Sorry, not sorry.

Major disappointment, food was terrible. I had a pulled pork sandwich and that's all. It did not come with the role it was suppose to be on nor the condiments that were supposed to be included. My friend had the brisket and it was tough and on a hamburger bun . We had eaten there a few years ago when we stopped on the island and thought it was exceptional. We were very sorry we stopped again

The service and food were both terrible. Very over priced for what you get! We had a group of 7. They wouldn’t split the bill if it’s a table of 5 or more, we were ok with that part. The waitress was awful. She took forever to get our drinks. We had to ask for silverware, plates and napkins. She brought 3 napkins for a table of 7. Never got the plates. We ordered appetizers and they came out at the same time as half of our food. The other half of the food didn’t come out until the first people that ordered were already done. Drinks were left empty even after asking for more. We went to the bar and ordered our beers because she never came back with the ones we ordered. We were charged 18% gratuity on our bill ( $30 +) The service was definitely not worth that at all!! The food was awful too. Perch wasn’t cooked all the way and it was soggy, burger tasted old, fries were cold, provolone sticks were soggy and cold. We asked for a manager and she came out and told us there was nothing she could do. She would call the owner; he was too busy to come because he owns 7 other businesses on the island she said. I would love to know what businesses are his because i definitely wouldn’t spend my money there either! When people spend that kind of money in a restaurant the service and food should both be good. I’m a server too so i understand the job and what is acceptable and what isn’t. This place is definitely not worth it!!

My daughter (adult) and I were there at about 5pm on Aug 7. The food (what we got to eat) was delicious, however, we had to leave shortly after it arrived. There was a table of 6 or 7 men drinking and very loudly speaking profanity. There was a couple with a small Boy who left as well. We mentioned it to our server but she shrugged her shoulders & didn’t seem to care. We will likely not eat there again & too bad, you have a good chef.
