Incredible beach. Crystal clear water and so many starfish. Unfortunately we saw a girl picking them up and making a circle out of them. She had just finished when we arrived!! Remember DONT TOUCH THEM!!!

Beautiful beach but don't go expecting some virgin beach without many people, it's quite the opposite, full of bars and structure. Still, it's totally worth the visit.

A lot of restaurants and local people. There is no much of sand but the water is clear and you can see starfishes. The restaurant do have great food and cool drinks. I could recommend to drink a pina colada

It is a place that could pass as paradise on earth. We were there today, Monday and have to say it was busy. Unfortunately, the same story here again, too much tourism and too little structure (to protect everything better) destroys everything. We did see some Starfish but there weren't many. You can also enjoy delicious food and drinks here, but keep in mind that you will be here for at least 3.5 hours (which is long by my standards) and the smell of the waste is unbearable, you can smell it almost everywhere, which is extremely disappointing. Hopefully, efforts will be made to prevent these scenes in the future.

This beach is beautiful; however there is a lots of garbage behind restaurants, it would be nice if municipality decide to clean it up! Lots of boats, exhaust fumes and loud music. That's unfortunate, If you want to visit better beach, red frog beach is much cleaner and nicer.

This is probably the closest to paradise I have ever experienced. In a beach setting for sure. Water as clear as you drink from your bottle, and palm trees overhanging white sand. Where else would you meet a wild scarlet macaw and feed him tropical fruit? It took some time to build trust with this beautiful creature, but he eventually came round a turned out a curious and charming fellow to spend time with. I christened him 'Mickey the macaw', and it was heart wrenching to say goodbye. All indigenous people running things here, which I loved. Strikingly different to your typical Panamanian person. They have a good few restaurants here that serve amazing traditional food - uncomplicated dishes and very tasty. I was drinking lovely Pina Coladas all day here for around $4 a time. There are many giant starfish here which justifies the placename, but apparently there used to be many more. I wonder is there too many people coming here that have caused this decline? It was not crowded when I was here on 2 January weekdays, so I had the most relaxing time. I normally get bored on beaches after a while, but not here, it was so idyllic. There are no waves and it is nice for a swim. Be cautious with where you step on the seabed though, as you might stand on one of those beautiful giant starfishes or else after you are in shoulder deep water, there is a step and a huge drop off in depth below you. I brought my own gear and went snorkelling here - visibility was the best you will get! FREE TIP - if you want to snorkel, walk up the length of the beach to where it curves into the mangroves! There will be no swimmers up here and you will see some marine life. The highlights for me was seeing a barracuda and a Southern stingray that was so close it brushed me. Both times I arrived here by boat from Bocas del Toro town. I still think about this place a lot, and when I return to Panama some day I will definitely visit again.

Beautiful beach, take the bus for $2.50 each way PP from the central park, it will take you to the last stop & you walk around 15 minutes along the coast to the beach. There is drink/food stalls but if you walk past all them there is a beautiful quiet part of the beach with so many starfish

Incredible. It was risky to swim the day we went, with waves more for surfing, but the walk along the enormous, empty, clean beach is beautiful. We took moto bikes and I don't recommend that. The roads are pretty bad after a certain point, with a couple washed out zones and deep sandy spots that I wiped out in twice. E-bikes, quad bikes, or cars, would all be highly preferred.

This is a WOW - Beach! You will be lonely there and the waves will be high. You can enjoy your day there. I recommend to go there by bike. It is a nice 30 minutes ride from the town.

This isnt a calm beach where you can go for a dip. These waves will drag you around. But if you like that and are careful enough then you will like it. Good thing is theres a lot of shade for you to sit or lay. and relax. Theres one restaurant i didnt get to go but it is futher up the coast. 5/5 would go again. IG harry_quinn_

I truly enjoyed my stay here but especially because of a sweet and wonderful host named Melissa. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable for our stay. She provided me with aloe vera as there was no store near by to help with my sun burnt skin. My friend Ken loved this place just as much. Also, Carlos who took care of the grounds was super helpful and kind. We’ll definitely be returning and sending our friends and family here. Ps. the restaurant just a stones throw away had the best bbq pulled pork sandwich and fish! Pps. Respect the water and killer waves. That’s why only 4 stars. Not a friendly swim. I swam in the pool which was kept at a perfect temp and was fairly free of debris.

Beautiful beach even when the waves are crashing the shoreline. The raw power of the sea makes you feel small. There are rips here, so you must be careful when entering the water. Definitely not recommended when the wind is blowing. The day we visited, the waves were 10ft (3m) plus in height. Nope, we didn't swim, just took in the beauty of nature. Beach was very clean. Some restaurants in the area like Oasis but check their times as they vary. It's a rough road, and a taxi will take up to 30 mins to get there. Price as of Jan 2023 is $15 for the cab each way. Can be biked, and there are many on this route. Well worth the trip to see this beach ⛱️

Really beautiful beach with huge waves, not so good for swimming. We went there for a drink and lunch. The beach was big and perfect to relax in the shadows of the plams.

This a pristine island so don't expect luxury just enjoy the nature and wildlife. Swimming is awesome and the trail through the island is surreal. Enjoy!

We loved hiking around the island, the beautiful beach views, etc. Be aware that gmaps trail is not accurate. The trail doesn't go all the way around the island as shown on the map but there are 2 trails, both well marked, to cross thru the middle to the other side. Why 3 stars? Tons of super annoying sand flies with itchy bites!! Bring repellant or dress for it.

We stayed at the Cosmic Crab which is a $1 water taxi ride away from Bocas town. The island is beautiful and peaceful. Water clear for miles!

Do not waste your time in this island. Trash everywhere, beaches are nothing special compared to other islands. Better to stay in Isla Colon. The only reason would be for surfing, but Colon seems to have better waves.

It's a wonderful island to see how the different classes live. This has a nice beach and a good walking trail. Cosmic Crab is a must for food. Mantequilla maracuya! Only open on the weekends during off-season. One of the breaks is off the beach.

What most reviewers seem to turn a blind eye to is the third world slums that cover much of what might have been beautiful beaches. Some of what is left is indeed very nice one just has to overlook trash left most everywhere. Fortunately the days of glass bottles are mostly behind us so it is just plastic. That said when the sun comes out the blue green water and white beaches are still beautiful. I can see why people are drawn to them I just prefer the clean beaches of Cuba.

Nice to walk around the whole of the island. Many different secluded beaches! Plus you.can end your day at bibi's for happy hour.

Pretty remote from the archipelago but what a sight. The rock formations and vegetation looks like CGI and too perfect to be real. Swarms of birds, large and small, flying around with no one to bother them. They do own the island. We are not allowed to step on the island which is fine with me. The boat can get close enough to feel like you are on it. The boat journey is a little choppy, but worth it for an awe inspiring sight

A piecee of island that looks like it was taken out of a movie. Many birds to watch and photograph. The views are amazing. The trip on boat is about 30-40 minutes. Its a tough ride is you do it with bad weather. Its prohibited to into the island.

It's an amazing place full of nature... Getting there is a little shaky depending of the sea behavior

Beautiful rock formations surrounded by unbelievably green water. Many birds, species you rarely ever see anywhere else, reside on the island. You can only visit by boat and I am not sure whether you can ever approach the rocks because of the very strong currents.

One of the best places to hang out! Lovely atmosphere, wonderful drinks (love the rum punch), very nice staff, delicious ceviche, jamming reggae music, and free access to amazing water. We felt like we had our own private island. We will be back!

Amazing yoga class! We enjoyed the vinyasa and afterwards the quite hour before more people came around 1pm. It’s a very chilly, familiar vibe. Delicious tacos (also vegan possible), very nice music (a lot of ‘00) and perfect for swimming and snorceling. We saw a lot of starfishes. Perfect place to chill out & enjoy the day! 🫶🏼

Super cool and fun bar floating right off the coast of Bocas. I only got a soda, but they serve alcohol and some typical bar food. The view is fantastic, and there's an upper level with lots of seating for it. All around, great concept that's done really well.

What an incredible spot in Bocas! The staff are SO friendly and it is truly the perfect place to spend an afternoon swimming and relaxing!! I went twice during my trip and cannot wait to go back again :)

This is such a fun place to go for sure!! The owners are fantastic and Laura makes you feel beyond welcome! Drinks are great, made to taste the alcohol put in the drunks, unlike some places on the Island.

I absolutely love The Floating Bar. They make you feel like family from the moment you step on the deck. The service is great, the food is delicious & the drinks are strong. If you’re a Bocas Breeze Card holder, you can get 2 for 1 quesadillas any day. They also feature specials for everyone throughout the week so check their FB or Insta. I’ve been coming here for 2 years & we bring our guests on Monday for live music night. We LOVE IT & more important, our guests love it.

The Best fun and most relaxing place to socialize..I always have a blast. The most likely reason that it is the best place in Bocas would be the owners !!!!! Laura and Chad make it a little floating slice of heaven with a ton of fun...If you are looking for a great time with amazing people. It's the sweetest spot to go to while visiting the island.. From the moment you step foot on the dock you feel the positive vibe from everyone that is there. They have incredible fun friendly staff that make sure you enjoy each visit.

El Ultimo Refugio is a place for great food and friendly people! Luck was on my side when my first choice for dinner was not open. I decided to give El Ultimo Refugio a try, and I'm so glad I did! When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess and the bartender. I started at the bar, but couldn't resist sitting outdoors for the view. I love that the menu is on a whiteboard! Fish tacos are a favorite of mine, so that's what I ordered. What I got was my favorite fish tacos ever! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, with the ingredients complimenting each other. Like I said, these were the best I've ever had. And the margarita was magnificent, too. I highly recommend El Ultimo Refugio!

Went for dinner and would go back again! Beautiful restaurant that looks out on the water. We also saw a huge stingray in the water that was an added bonus! The food was delicious. We had the ceviche and the patacones with pulled pork - incredible. Customer services was wonderful as well.

Enjoyed a lovely Caribbean inspired meal on a clear Saturday night. Live local reggae music began at 7:30 PM. Cocktails were fresh and delicious, seared sesame crusted tuna was excellent and the owner/staff was attentive and friendly. A bit more upscale pricing vs other places in town but the overwater location added to the ambience and it made the entire experience worthwhile. Add it to your list when visiting Bdt town.

There are several nice waterfront restaurants and bars on the island, but Ultimo Refugio has the friendliest waitstaff, the best food, and the best view.

Absolutely delicious place to eat, I came there more than once during my week here. Beef tenderloin was by far my favorite.

Absolutely incredible experience! I had the grilled octopus and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life — perfectly tender, full of flavor, and beautifully grilled to perfection. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, friendly service, and clear attention to quality in every detail. You can really taste the freshness of the seafood, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a must!!!

We had an amazing dinner experience! The drinks, food, and service were spectacular. Particularly the smoked pineapple cocktail, grilled tuna, and tuna ceviche. Cecilio “Chino” was a very welcoming and lively host who had us smiling before we even sat down. Prices were very reasonable, and the cozy backyard garden atmosphere was lovely. It is cash only. If/when we find ourselves back in Bocas, we’ll definitely be back here.

Jony was a very nice and thoughtful waiter. We had an amazing experience over all. Especially the food was amazing - perfect presentation, very good ingredients and also healthy. The vegetarian dish was amazing. As well as the Ceviche and the desserts. Totally recommended!

Honestly, they need more places like this in Bocas! The service was amazing by Chino, he was so friendly and had great recommendations. I had the tuna sandwich which was very good! My friends had the octopus and that was to die for! The vibe here is very nice and the service was quick as well. Highly recommend!

The service was great. Good music, great waiter and food tasted great. It’s a limited menu, but everything we had was great.

This was our second restaurant by local Chef Joseph Archibald. We knew to expect great food, this was a wonderful dining experience. Beautiful restaurant tucked into a quiet street not far from main street or our hotel. I was a little late after a nap from being in the sun all day and may have missed a course or two, but left so fulfilled and not a single thing was missing. The open air patio was perfect for us, the courtyard was lined with plants and herbs, a coconut was harvested on the spot for its water. Again, the focus on well executed dishes highlighting local ingredients, done tastefully and simple. The mission of the Chef, create quality food and an experience for guests at the highest level each and every time. They did just that. The seared tuna on the mix plate, was UNREAL. Octopus was delightful and the jerk chicken was 🔥. They had a similar mocktail with hibiscus, local honey and ginger that rocked. Take your time and savor the food of wherever it is you choose. The amount of complexity in a single bite and how it builds helps remind you of that. Avoid the main road, and find Octo for yourself.

Went for dinner at this restaurant and staff was very friendly and gave us some mosquito repellent! We went for a ceviche which was okay and tuna as a main dish. We enjoyed, would recommend if you dont mind paying a bit more. Great homemade hot sauce!

A very nice and fun place, with a serious background. Be a prisoner, sentenced for crimes against the nature. Very comfortable rooms, a bar, a long slide to the pool. The castle is for rent as well, for up to 8 people. It has a bar in the roof with a jungle view. The project is initiated by Robert Bezeau, who will guide you through the property and explain the project the you, even if you're not staying. There's a lot more to the project than just being a hotel. You can actively participate on reducing the amount of plastic thrown into the ocean.

Although the Castle showed on Google Maps to be open, when we arrived. It was closed up. We cycled down to a recreation area with an outside pool, the security man on the gate didn't know if we could enter just for drinks and had to speak to someone on the deck of an overlooking house. Only then were we admitted. After bout 20 minutes we left and cycled back to the gatehouse/Castle. Some of the building were of metal construction filled with whole plastic bottles. Not very impressive. Rather gimmicky.

This place is designed to aware people of the environmental damage we do to nature by consuming plastic in general. I think places like this one are the ones that makes the difference in the world and we need to support this kind of places. The idea Robert (the owner) has is to create a better world for the future generations not only of humans but all life forms in general.

I just stayed in the hostel close by and somehow it's more known as plastic bottle village so adding the review here too. Lovely owners and a beautiful place. Everything is clean and there is a awesome kitchen equipped with all you need. It's still new and from what I heard it's still in the starting shoes :) The pool with bar is awesome and invites for party. Some Coffee and a watertank to refill own bottles would be great (they did it a few times at the bar for me for free though :). It's a bit outside the town but taxi is 3 to 5 Dollar and they offer a shuttle for free every now and then. The local bus goes from 6am to 8pm ish and is a dollar (Drago).

Three stars because the hotel is good but I paid $12 to wash my clothes and all the white clothes are now ruined...I try to ask for a solution and they just don't assume it's their fault , result: I lost twelve dollars and all my white clothes are destroyed and it's my fault haha

It is not really a village. Just a rather small castle. Moreover, I totally diasgree on their idea/goal to make you feel guilty and be out "in prison for crimes against nature". Many people always dispose their waste in the correct bins. To me the issue is at regulators who allow plastic export and big companies who dump it instead of recycle or burn it. I literally saw trucks being dumped in rivers in third world countries. That's where steps should be made, not giving individual consumers the feeling that they are doing so bad by drinking a bottle of coca cola and throwing it in the (recycling) bin.

Nice beach for snorkeling.

I came here twice, one to snorkel and the second time to dive. If you are snorkeling, be aware that the coral really starts a ways out. Once you get out there though the entire floor is covered. Be careful about boats there. If you are going to snorkel out there you should bring a buoy so the boats see you

We went to Hospital Point while cloudy, rainy weater conditions. So the water wasn't very clear, but we saw lots of fish and corals. The places is actually very nice, however the beach is completly flooded by the waves. In the Forest next to it, there is plenty of rubbish, what meaks the expirence a little bit disappointing. PLEASE take your rubbish with you and don't touch the corals or any other sealife. Thank you!

I came to hospital point by recommendation of our boat guy. It is a small smal beach but it is empty. Underrated spot to be honest. Very fast trip from any hotel in Isla Colon. Aparently you can snorkel here because I saw a lot of people doing it. I should bring some snorkel gear next time.

Secluded beach with a lovely reef for snorkelling on. Lots of different fish including barracuda. Nobody else around. It had been raining though so there was some rubbish in the shallow water.

These gardens are an absolute hidden gem. With almost 12/acres of the most stunning plants and flowers. Wrote also saw four toucans, a Mother Sloth with her baby and a lot of howler monkeys. Through guide answered every question and gave us heaps of Botanical facts and information and seemed genuinely passionate about through garden.

Our tour guide overflowed with enthusiasm, which made the tour a delight. We saw howler and white-faced monkeys and an impressive array of ginger flowers. The $25 entry is well worth it

Amazing tour and super knowledgeable owner. Saw the most magnificent rainbow eucalyptus tree. Tours are run twice a week and one should contact the owners, if they want to visit.

The tour was totally worth the price. Well-maintained by the owners, this garden preserves nature and wildlife at its best.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this gem on Isle Carenero!!! The staff is friendly and efficient and the food was AMAZING, just what we were looking for. Francesca the owner had many good tips for travelers and was warm and friendly. It’s a must if you’re visiting!!! Get the fish tacos!!!

Lunch here was fantastic and the owner is super friendly! Enjoy the beautiful scenery (with starfish lining the sea floor below the dock) while enjoying one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had, sipping smoothies, and finishing it off with a chocolate chip cookie. Highly recommend lunch here if you’re staying in Bocas!

Beautiful waterfront setting, I stayed for hours, just entranced. It would be perfect if it weren’t on the water taxi superhighway, but even this is a mild detail and there’s not a lot of noise, it just interrupts the reverie. Excellent, varied menu (and not just vegetarian/ vegan) and a gift shop that includes artsy stuff but also practical things, like hats. I’ll be back!

Thoroughly enjoyable ‘Big Fish Salad’ (Giant may be a better word) for lunch. Fresh and delicious with great service and a perfect location. Will be back for more!

Absolutely amazing food! This has been my happiest meal this trip so far. I had the big fish salad & I could barely eat it all as it's A BIG MEAL ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT - It's probably the healthiest meal on the island with organic mixed greens and so many vegetables !! Absolutely Perfect

Today was my birthday! We walked the trail around Isla Carenero this morning and stopped for lunch at Leaf Eaters Cafe. Everything about this delightful cafe was perfect. Friendly + happy service, fantastic food, beautiful view of the ocean (and clean bathroom, too). I would like to return and try every item on their delicious and nutritious menu!

1 star for attention from staff, in reality it’s a 2.5-3 star operation. It took 52 minutes for my salad to arrive. The big salad with no cooked items, no warm items, simply just chopped veggies. I could have swam to bocas town, bought groceries, swam back and made a salad for half the price and half the time!! It wasn’t slammed busy, normal amount of people mid day. Staff are kind, but customer service is a huge miss and they don’t seem to acknowledge the slowness. The price is way too high for customer service not to be top notch for vegetarian items with 600% mark ups. Also, The kale in my $12 kale salad was not massaged or dressed in advance, which is what it should be to be digested. I like the atmosphere and want them to improve so I can come back and not be upset about it.

Great setting. Our drinks and food were good but it did seem pricey. A burger with fries, a taco and 3 fruit juices for $31. Good location to probably hang out for a few hours on a nice day as you can swim and surf right there

Fun restaurant to sit and watch the view while eating or drinking. I shared the pepperoni pizza with a family member and it was delicious. The view itself is worth checking this place out.

My veggie burger, watermelon juice and papaya margarita was amazing!!! Keep in mind its cash only... Glad I walked further down the road to find this place... Fun place outside of town and with a wonderful view. It is a bit of a trek to get there, but once you do they have great tacos and cocktails. More than worth it. Very relaxed atmosphere and the owners are really amazing.

Beautiful spot with their Bali/Thailand decor... The views are absolutely breathtaking, accompanied with well priced delicious cocktails and yummy pizza or burgers... Definitely a place you should stop and take in the beauty of Bocas. Thank you to the staff for always being so welcoming especially with our doggo!!

Beautiful location, very safe and relaxing. Generally speaking the food is good but not as exciting as other places in LATAM or Caribbean and portions of food are small. However there is one food stall on the corner of Calle 3a and Ave. D Nte that has delicious empanadas at less than a dollar each. It is a must try!

Wonderful island . A must to see when you are in Panama

Enjoy your Caribbean paradise in Panama, Boca del Drago, as I did. It's so relaxing and beautiful I didn't want to leave. But, I had to explore further.

Stunning and relaxing beach with almost no people around. Very narrow. Absolutely calm water. Wobderful to walk around. Starfish beach is just a couple of minutes away.

Couldn’t believe our eyes, we had been told there were no longer many starfish but to our surprise, as we walked the beCh, there were so many big ones. We enjoyed a nice coconut at the first food stand. To get to the beach from the bus dropoff is about 20 mins walk along the beachfront - water taxis offer a 1$ ride but if you’re ok with walking it’s really not worth it. Last buses leave at 7pm and usually leave every 30 mins.

Nice place for sunbathing, but less so for snorkeling. Good for children, but everything else has been trampled to the ground, which I deeply regret because it is such a beautiful place.

Rent an ebike and bike out. Gorgeous ride and destination! Easy 15-20 min walk to Starfish Beach, or a 5 min water taxi. (Not the kindest captains, and don't expect to leave just because you want to go... I waited for 15 min while they played a game to bet on who had to taxi me, assuming I couldnt understand them.... so I just got up and walked back in the rain)

This beach is so peaceful, I really enjoyed it. Also there's this restaurant called Yarisnori and it got good prices and meal it's good.

It was really nice, we had a really good time being the only Tourist at the Beach for Hours. But after we moved towards red frog beach, unfortunately we got mugged by masked gangsters with machetes, they took everything we had including a gay tourist we met earlier that day. Fortunately we met him the day after but he wasn’t the same…

Beautiful lonely beach. We were strongly recommended by our hosts to not swim here due to currents. Reachable by an half an hour walk on a bit muddy trail through the rain forest.

Beautiful private beach! We walked for 30 minutes on a well maintained trail from Old Bank. We had the entire beach to ourselves at 10am! Not recommended for swimming though due to strong currents.

The beach itself is one of the most gorgeous beaches we have ever been to. The sand is clean, the water is clear and gentle, it's like from a postcard. Getting to the beach is a medium difficulty track, including up and down the hill. There is no facilities on the beach (which makes it pristine and not overcrowded), thus you should take water and/or food with you if you want to have some food. Totally worth the visit.

The Beach itself is very long, stretches of soft sand. in late September it was dry and peaceful to swim. some waves, depending on the weather. The jungle path also during the short 4 nights we stayed on the island were dry, so it was OK to hike through the jungle. I can imagine that it would be really difficult (especially the really steep part) the mud would be very unpleasant to get through to the beach. We we warned of all the theft on the beach as there maybe only maximum 5 people on the beach if any at all, but we were warned by our hosts as well as other locals to always have our eyes on our stuff and not to carry any valuable, no money -- not needed anyway as there is nothing only nature there!

Wonderful, empty beach. We start on town and walk around 30 minutes. The way was good and rather easy, but it was very sunny day. I reccomend to go there,beautiful place to rest.

We anchored here for 4 nights and took several dinghy trips in for some hiking and dining. We ate at Mami's along the hike to Wizard Beach. We had date night eating delicious Tapas food at Firefly. We shared a simple lunch overlooking the bay at Guari Guari and had a couple beers for a $1.50 at a hostel near the public dinghy dock. We loved how clean the town is compared to the others we've visited here in Bocas del Toro. The villagers really take pride in where they live and spend most of there time with family. It's a very close community.

Because the waters here ate very tranquil and placid , just perfect for snorkeling/ free diving and many mangrove forest both offering incredible marine biodiversity. Please take care where your boat drops anchor, and don't touch the coral.

The island of Bastimentos is beautiful. The community of Old Bank is historic and culturally diverse. The hike to Wizard Beach is breathtaking full of wonderful sounds and beautiful colors. A definite must if you come to the Bocas Del Toro area

Beautiful river and wildlife area. Not so many animals, and can be overrun with people hanging out and not throwing out their trash, but a beautiful piece of nature none the less.

Best coffee in Bocas! Genuinely friendly and nice baristas. It’s a long, narrow, closet-shaped space so it gets crowded very quickly in the mornings. If this were in a conventional coffee shop - sized space, it would be perfect.

I feel this is like the best coffee spot in town. Like the coffee is so good. My only complaint would be to maybe have more local Panamanian coffee as an option of brewing (since I’m a local and we are in Panama) from the rest the Avocado Toast was beyond great, staff girlies amazing and the atmosphere is just great. The only perk is, as many places in bocas this one is suuuuuuper small and very crowded. I recommend it to have it as to go if you are taking a tour or something.

I’m don’t review spots but Amaranto truly deserves it. All female staff 🤩 with great service and ambiance. My Gosh, your yoghurt bowls are the best I’ve ever had. Came back numerous times. Filled with fruit, granola and incredible taste. Coffee is also amazing!

Very nice and quiet place relaxing to start your morning. We ordered the fried eggs was very good. The place is quite small so if you want to catch a place to sit better get ther on the earlier side.

Friendly staff and great breakfast options! I went with the Capresse sandwich and the portion was huge. The cafe is small with some indoor and outdoor seating.

Would give more than 5 stars if I could! They are just great at making coffee. The food was also wonderful, especially the pb and banana toast. Came back everyday during my visit in Bocas and I already miss Amaranto. Very friendly staff too.

Super nice and cozy place. We had homebread with hummus (yum!!) and and a waffle. It was yumsie, though not a lot. It wasn’t enough for lunch, but that could also be just us :) The homemade drink was okay but a little overpriced. Would recommend the food here :) (and probably coffee, but we don’t drink that 👍🏻)

Chill low key beach bar in Bluff - we came here for sunset and drinks. Also had the fish ceviche with plantains. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. The owner Chris is especially welcoming!

Loved the atmosphere and being right on the beach. The food was delicious! I had the shrimp poboy and it was yummy. The best part was Thor the hotel/restaurant dog. Little old man was thr sweetest🐾.

The perfect place in Bluff beach ! Excelente cocktails with a fair price. Pizza is tasty! I recommend the one with shrimps.

Service was amazing, food was great & cocktails were perfect! So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant on Bluff Beach. We got lucky and enjoyed a basically flat ocean for the day. Server would even go out on to beach chair area to take our order & drinks! Fell in love with it here

This place looks awesome. We had a drink here, but it was low season so there was no one there. However, if it was busier I would have loved to party here. The setting is right on the water. Really will but they also have a dance floor. Worth checking out if you're in Bocas.

Great music and lively ambience; very spacious and without walls.

Positive: beside one girl at the bar that shows low interest in serving 'female tourists' everyone was really nice and in a good mood. See security makes you feel save and the set up of the environment is really nice. Negative: Bad smell from the waterfront and the toilets are broken most of the times.. the music is by far too loud for anyone.

The food is awesome. You can't beat the ambience anywhere.

The Caribbean fusion restaurant in front has some of the best smoked bbq in town. Also try the homemade sauces, amazing flavours.

This is a club that has a restaurant. I came on a weeknight. I was the only person. I had to ask for service. They did not have the steak on the menu but they had squid. I ate it and was immediately sick. The sickness was bacteria and it lasted a week and had to see a doctor. I'm sure this place is an amazing club. That atmosphere is terrific. But I would never eat there again

Lovely diveschool/club with great atmosphere. We did 4 epic dives with divemaster Silvana, including dives to a shipwreck and into caves. Would recommend this place!

The tour was really fun and our instructor Ivan tought us everything very well before we went in the water. We were a group of four doing the Discover scuba diving - 2 tanks. We saw a lot of beautiful corals and fishes:) definitely worth it!

Kind staff that I was already in contact with via WhatsApp before the dive. Their base is directly next to the ocean and integrated into a restaurant. The visibility that day (25th Dec so xMas Dive) was not so good, but still under water it is always beautiful. Our dives where next to Casa Blanca for the reef (10m) and for the Ship wrack 2013? Mystic Wind (16m). Both dive were super relaxed. Equipment was good. We had tea and pineapple during our surface break. So have fun yourself with La Buga Dive.

This is a very great diving school. I did my Open Water diving licence here and was completely satisfied. I felt very comfortable right from the start. The whole team is professional, helpful and friendly. The booking was very straightforward via whats app. My diving instructor Manuel was very great. He explained everything very well and I felt safe and in good hands every second. Even when I panicked underwater, he helped me back to the surface professionally and quickly. The training was Padi orientated and the individual exercises were great fun. The dive sites were varied and we dived to 3 shipwrecks I can really recommend this diving school to anyone who wants to start diving or is simply looking for a professional and friendly guide for their dives. Thank you very much for this great experience.

We had the most amazing diving experience here! My husband’s first dive I was doing a refresh after five years of not diving. It was absolutely fantastic. I even lost my camera and the instructor was able to go back and find it.!!! we slammed through a shipwreck saw sharks and so many fish !! Worth every penny!

After talking to the different dive shops we choose La Buga and it was great. We did four dives (two night dives) and they were all enjoyable. The bioluminescence experience on the night dive is super fun. The staff at La Buga are awesome. Big ups to Manuel & Rho for taking such great care of us. I would recommend La Buga.

Just a nice team. Would do anything to make the customer happy and feel safe. With night dives, 2 tank fun dives, as well as all the PADI lessons if you want to discover scuba for the 1st time or want to move you level of experience on further.

Your standard island airport. One room terminal with aircon in the gate waiting room. Bathroom by check in was clean. Guy playing his guitar and the other guy singing along made all the island vibes!

Laid back and friendly people. Bocas del Toro is a good place for vacation. The food is good and the water warm.

A local airport, not big. There is a small shop (duty free) where you can buy drinks, sweets, mobile phone cables, etc. Very friendly people. Toilets are also available both before and after the check.

The women at the security check are incredibly unfriendly. The airport should seriously consider hiring new people. Yes, you can be strict but it seemed that they were just randomly not allowing certain things without any sign anywhere on what’s not allowed to take in your hand luggage. As usual for security checks they threw away deodorants, lotions etc. above 100ml but surprisingly the glasses we bought as souvenirs or our repellent (100ml) didn’t find the way into the bin… kind of makes you question what happens with the stuff.

Sorry to say, I wasn't impressed. Infrastructure is poor, taxis wouldn't take me to my hotel or pick anyone up from it. Roads are unfinished, pavements unfinished or none at all. Dirt, dust and mud everywhere. Snorkelling not good as not much to see. There are some nice restaurants in the centre of town, but getting there is the problem. Probably best if you can afford a high end hotel with it's own restaurants and facilities so you don't need to go anywhere except on a boat trip

Ok airport but one thing that is not acceptable is that once you passed through security (1h before your flight) you are not able to buy any drinking water. So for 1h+ you aren't able to drink. When it is 30 degrees+ it is quite a problem. You're also not allowed to bring water with you. They should put a vending machine at least.

Panamanians are not famous for their respectful treatment or being delicate, so don't expect that. For me, the worst are those starving taxi drivers. That's normal all over the world, but these guys are the worst of the worst. Total harassment. There is bus service. Use them whenever possible, and if you use a taxi, pay only half of what the taxi driver tells you.

Only Park in town so nowhere else to go if you want to hang out in the green trees in the center. It's nothing special but has some old huge trees offering shade and benches to chat. Local ladies sell fruit and roots in the morning there too.

Pretty park for locals in Bocas. Love the colorful gazebo and retro feel of the place. A snack shop is located at one end of the park for inexpensive food and appears popular with locals. Always a Simon Bolivar statue in a Simon Bolivar park.

Nice park to hangout and watch the world go by. Good for kids with the playground. Can catch the bus to otherboarts of the island here.

The park is great. All set up for a Caribbean Festival tonight. Also had great food at La Veranda on the edge of the park. Great food made by Sandra.

I'd like to tell you how much I enjoyed my diving lessons. It was a truly wonderful experience! My instructor, Modesto, was exceptional, always available to answer my questions and teach me everything he knew. Thanks to his advice and support, I was able to make rapid progress and feel more at ease. I highly recommend this activity to anyone wanting to discover diving. A rewarding and unforgettable experience. I would like to thank Bocas Dive Center for this unforgettable experience.

As a diver you really feel spoiled at BDC; can’t rate them highly enough! Very professional service; they set up your gear for you if you wish and even clean and dry it for you ready for the next day’s dive! Snacks and coffee on board between dives and the complementary post dive beer is the cherry on the cake. Passionate and knowledgeable DMs - we dived with Marion, Noah and Kelly and they were all great guides. Beautiful reef, pretty shallow dives, lots of life. Highly recommend, especially in September when the Polo caverns are accessible.

I completed both my Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses here and couldn’t be happier. My instructor Modesto was extremely skilled, patient, and always took the time to explain everything clearly. I felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire training. The equipment was in excellent condition and the overall organization was smooth and professional. After diving, we often ate at the restaurant right next to the dive school – super convenient and really good food as well. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn diving or continue their training. I would definitely come back!

Great overall experience. Paperwork and booking was a snap. Once in the water Modesto made sure that we quickly overcame our fears and feel save. By the time we hooked up our second tanks we were cruising around the coral reef like pros. The instructor did a great job representing this company assuring that we are safe, comfortable and learning important skills. I am returning in a few months to do open water diver certification. I could think of a better place to do that. I am hooked on scuba and even got one of their T-Shirts to proudly wear home.

We completed our re-activate training and did a few dives in addition. We really liked all the staff - the front desk staff were great, the captain was really helpful, and dive masters really knew their stuff. They are helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to spend extra time to ensure you learned the skills properly. We got some great tips that we hadn't known after 60+ dives elsewhere. Thanks Modesto, Kelly, and Simon! If you are thinking of diving in Bocas, I highly recommend this place!

I did my dive rescue course and 5 days of fun dives here, and can't recommend it enough! All the staff, especially Leandro and Raul who I dived with, are friendly, safety-conscious and helpful. Equipment is well-maintained, good dive briefings and you get a free drink with fellow divers in the debrief. Dive sites are close by, the reefs are beautiful, there's some wrecks and we saw sharks, rays, octopus, and much more. Big thanks especially to Leandro who did my rescue course - I learnt to dive with him 5 years ago and came back to Bocas especially to do my course here. It's a super welcoming dive centre and highly recommend diving here. :)

I had 14 dives with the Bocas Dive Center and it was a pleasure to dive with all masters and instructors during that time. Everyone is very passionate and professional about diving and know the spots. I very much liked the briefings before every dive and the rebriefing after dive. The dive equitment and the emergency kit looks well. I have seen them teaching people for OWD and AOWD certificates, high quality.
