Service was great - Jorge, the waiter, is a great lad. Food was not bad. The owner should make an effort to train her dogs or keep them out of sight from the guest area as they are very vicious. This place is definitely not pet friendly.

A fun place to visit excessive by water taxi. The boys had a blast swimming and zipping into the ocean. We were hoping for the seafood BBQ but it alternates weekends. Beef Ribs were tasty though so it was just fine. Bartender and Owner were really nice just be careful around the old dog living his best life. He's not to people friendly but keeps to himself if you ignore him.

We have slept next to the restaurant Blue Coconut in an apartment and hereby judge the apartment and also the restaurant: Apartment: It is pleasant to sleep on the sea and the snorkeling was excellent, you can see many animals, but now to the negative: Price/performance overall was very very poor. The owner has three dogs, a cute baby rottweiler and two guard dogs of which she herself claims you should not attack them, because they can bite. They also guard the houses there and bark without exception when boats approach. So one is often awakened. The house you stay in is neat but not clean, we would never have cooked anything there. In the house we had many gekkos (we caught and removed four) and a huge butterfly. We had NO hot water, the water from the shower and sink runs directly into the sea. The wifi was very bad, even phone calls via whatsapp broke off. We were 3 nights, so almost 4 days, there was no cleaning, also no fresh towels. Nothing was offered preventively, no recommendations what to do, no conversations on the part of the owner, nothing. You can only get from the house to the main island of Bocas by water cab for $6 per person to do some shopping or to eat. Restaurant: The house is right next to the Blue Coconut, the owner's restaurant, but is only open from noon to 6pm, so breakfast was impossible. On our last day it was even closed, although it should be open regularly. One guest even came by water cab to eat, only to be told that it was closed, so he had to leave again. The food in the restaurant was average, the prices for it rather expensive, the staff did not remember our order and served the wrong food. The cocktails were also very poor, small selection, poorly mixed, but expensive. The price per night was $192 by far the most expensive thing we booked on our 15 day Panama tour and it was not justified in any way. One night or two days would be more than sufficient here and quite honestly we would see $90 as justified. We were quite disappointed.

The best bar in Bocas - snorkeling in crystal clear water with rays, lots of starfish, corals around malgrove trees and plenty of fish...sunbeds, yuca tapas for 1,5 $, patacones 2,75 $ porcion, 2 $ for a beer... To sump up - Great chill

The place it is beautiful, but the dogs and the owner ruined the environment. The dogs barks without any reason and may bite you, the owner has three big dogs including a Rottweiler that catched the leg of my girlfriend in a moment with no harm (probably the dog was playing) but it is a big dog, and we did not know what the dog is going to do (even the owner did not called the attention of the dog). The main thing that did not like us, was the attitude of the owner, the place closes at 6 pm and it is literally in middle of the sea, so you need a boat to arrive or leave, and the owner started to pressure us to leave at 6 pm without giving us enogh time to allow our boate to arrive to pick us up.

Great food and drinks, awesome atmosphere, and amazing snorkeling! They take credit cards.

El Ultimo Refugio is a place for great food and friendly people! Luck was on my side when my first choice for dinner was not open. I decided to give El Ultimo Refugio a try, and I'm so glad I did! When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess and the bartender. I started at the bar, but couldn't resist sitting outdoors for the view. I love that the menu is on a whiteboard! Fish tacos are a favorite of mine, so that's what I ordered. What I got was my favorite fish tacos ever! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, with the ingredients complimenting each other. Like I said, these were the best I've ever had. And the margarita was magnificent, too. I highly recommend El Ultimo Refugio!

Went for dinner and would go back again! Beautiful restaurant that looks out on the water. We also saw a huge stingray in the water that was an added bonus! The food was delicious. We had the ceviche and the patacones with pulled pork - incredible. Customer services was wonderful as well.

Enjoyed a lovely Caribbean inspired meal on a clear Saturday night. Live local reggae music began at 7:30 PM. Cocktails were fresh and delicious, seared sesame crusted tuna was excellent and the owner/staff was attentive and friendly. A bit more upscale pricing vs other places in town but the overwater location added to the ambience and it made the entire experience worthwhile. Add it to your list when visiting Bdt town.

Delicious food and good food service! Not sure what the soup was but it was fantastic! Satay chicken was good too!

There are several nice waterfront restaurants and bars on the island, but Ultimo Refugio has the friendliest waitstaff, the best food, and the best view.

Absolutely delicious place to eat, I came there more than once during my week here. Beef tenderloin was by far my favorite.

“Away from it all” location with paradise-like 180 degree panoramic view of islands, surf, and water—and not too many speedboats to interrupt your enjoyment. Creole octopus is good. Servers can get a little overwhelmed if they are dealing with multiple large groups at the same time, but I went twice and didn’t see the unfriendliness that some reviewers have mentioned. They’re also very tolerant of people just staying for hours, so factor that in if you’re wondering when your order will arrive. They can call a water taxi for you. “Take me to Bibi’s” is immediately understood on any of the docks in Bocas Town!

My spicy chicken wasn't spicy, so I was bit disappointed. Decent but still disappointed. Staff were excellent any attentive and the view is to top notch

Pleasant experience at this restaurant! Piña Colada was a total hit (and super cheap during happy hour) and fresh lobster was also very delicious and reasonably priced.

Bibis Rocks!! Sunday Funday at this local over the water restaurant is an absolute blast! Great food, appetizers & drinks with the friendliest servers, bartenders & crew. Listen to a different live band + DJ, every Sunday & catch the vibe that gets everyone dancing. So much fun!

Always perfect, if you visit this beautiful spot at day or evening is just incredible. Any time I have the chance to visit Bocas, Bibi’s is the place to visit 👍🤗

This place is a hidden gem. We walked across the island and stumbled across it. The service is very nice, they have happy hour 3$ cocktails and beer all the time 2$. The atmosphere is very nice and you feel safe , even the police was eating here and they greeted us. A must see when you like to have a fabulous view at the waterfront!!!

We enjoyed the food (sorry we are too fast, no pics) and the good service too. We had a veggie plate and a chicken one, both nice. It got really busy 20 minutes after we arrived, seems to be popular. Great views and casual ambiance. The pic is a spontaneous dance scene 🤣

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this gem on Isle Carenero!!! The staff is friendly and efficient and the food was AMAZING, just what we were looking for. Francesca the owner had many good tips for travelers and was warm and friendly. It’s a must if you’re visiting!!! Get the fish tacos!!!

Lunch here was fantastic and the owner is super friendly! Enjoy the beautiful scenery (with starfish lining the sea floor below the dock) while enjoying one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had, sipping smoothies, and finishing it off with a chocolate chip cookie. Highly recommend lunch here if you’re staying in Bocas!

Beautiful waterfront setting, I stayed for hours, just entranced. It would be perfect if it weren’t on the water taxi superhighway, but even this is a mild detail and there’s not a lot of noise, it just interrupts the reverie. Excellent, varied menu (and not just vegetarian/ vegan) and a gift shop that includes artsy stuff but also practical things, like hats. I’ll be back!

Thoroughly enjoyable ‘Big Fish Salad’ (Giant may be a better word) for lunch. Fresh and delicious with great service and a perfect location. Will be back for more!

Absolutely amazing food! This has been my happiest meal this trip so far. I had the big fish salad & I could barely eat it all as it's A BIG MEAL ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT - It's probably the healthiest meal on the island with organic mixed greens and so many vegetables !! Absolutely Perfect

Today was my birthday! We walked the trail around Isla Carenero this morning and stopped for lunch at Leaf Eaters Cafe. Everything about this delightful cafe was perfect. Friendly + happy service, fantastic food, beautiful view of the ocean (and clean bathroom, too). I would like to return and try every item on their delicious and nutritious menu!

1 star for attention from staff, in reality it’s a 2.5-3 star operation. It took 52 minutes for my salad to arrive. The big salad with no cooked items, no warm items, simply just chopped veggies. I could have swam to bocas town, bought groceries, swam back and made a salad for half the price and half the time!! It wasn’t slammed busy, normal amount of people mid day. Staff are kind, but customer service is a huge miss and they don’t seem to acknowledge the slowness. The price is way too high for customer service not to be top notch for vegetarian items with 600% mark ups. Also, The kale in my $12 kale salad was not massaged or dressed in advance, which is what it should be to be digested. I like the atmosphere and want them to improve so I can come back and not be upset about it.

I’m excited that OM Cafe is finally back. The food and the flavor is as good as ever. The new location is so much nicer and better. The kitchen has all new appliances, counters and tile. Another benefit is the dock and boat parking for patrons. So nice to come to town and not worry about boat parking when dining. So excited for the OM team! Thank you!

We truly LOVE this place, it’s incredible and definitely a gem here in Bocas. Om is one of a kind, everything we have tried has been so amazing! If you are visiting definitely check it out ! I would recommend the samosas they are to die for. Thanks to the wonderful staff that makes it so great. We love coming here!

Absolutely loved our experience at OM Café — hands down one of the best spots in Bocas del Toro! We sadly discovered it only on our last evening, but that made it all the more special and truly unforgettable. The food is bursting with authentic Indian flavors, beautifully balanced and cooked to perfection. We tried Wednesday special, butter paneer and garlic naan — everything was absolutely divine. And the sweet surprise? Simply incredible! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a laid-back island charm that makes you want to stay for hours. The staff are so kind and attentive, adding to the overall wonderful vibe. If you’re in Bocas and craving something truly special, this place is a must. A total gem!

Incredible Indian food in Bocas del Toro! OM Café is a total gem — easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Panama. The flavors are authentic and balanced, with just the right amount of spice and depth. We tried the butter chicken, and vindaloo and garlic naan — everything was perfectly cooked and full of rich, aromatic flavor. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the relaxed island vibe makes it a great place to linger over dinner. Whether you’re craving real Indian comfort food or just want a break from typical island fare, OM Café is absolutely worth a visit.

We came in as a group of 7 and were well taken care of by the owner, with a beautiful table over the waterfront. We ordered one of everything to share as a group, and we were all pleasantly surprised by the speed of how quickly our orders were prepared and presented to us. The food was delicious! Left you wanting more. My favorite was the seekh kebab dish! Thank you to the OM team for such a wonderful evening. We will be back ❤️

The food is fantastic and the restaurant is located right on the water. It’s stunning, definitely some of the best food around!

Some really enjoyed their dinner, others were not a fan. The fish burger was a huge miss for me; I wouldn’t recommended. The seafood risotto reminded me more of a seafood soup with rice. The most liked menu item was the Caribbean wrap. Closely followed by their Popeye salad, which was also really well liked! We also struggled with the sizes; the hamburgers were on the smaller size. For one of them we requested no peppers, but they were still on it. Someone else asked for fries and plantains and didn’t receive those. We also tried a smoothie, and the Carolina was good. The frozen lemonade wasn’t super flavorful though. They had a clean bathroom inside, and ac as well. Not a whole lot of seating options, but we didn’t need to wait.

Fresh, friendly, and delicious. Iced latte was perfect, smoothie was refreshing, and my breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious. They gave me a side sauce with an extra green sauce on top that was so good. Highly recommend.

Good food, good service, good music. Only thing was that it was a bit pricey in my opinion as we ended up spending around $30 for 2. Understand that it’s a tourist spot and a chain restaurant.

Delicious DELICIOUS breakfast!!! I got the egg breakfast add bacon with pancakes add choc chips. The bacon came perfectly crispy! The presentation of the plate was gorgeous too, especially the side of fruit. The coffee was delicious and I had a smoothie that was excellent as well. The star of the show was the PANCAKES!!! So fluffy and delicious, not too filling just perfectly fluffy and devourable. The ambiance of the restaurant was gorgeous too. I sat outside under cover as it was raining and it was a perfect last morning in Bocas. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. I can’t recommend enough for breakfast!!!

A cute spot with friendly staff and amazing smoothies! I went for breakfast and for lunch two separate days and while I enjoyed the breakfast, I found the fish to be a little dry. However the presentation on all the food and drink were great and it’s a nice spot to sit and relax.

Best coffee in Bocas! Genuinely friendly and nice baristas. It’s a long, narrow, closet-shaped space so it gets crowded very quickly in the mornings. If this were in a conventional coffee shop - sized space, it would be perfect.

I feel this is like the best coffee spot in town. Like the coffee is so good. My only complaint would be to maybe have more local Panamanian coffee as an option of brewing (since I’m a local and we are in Panama) from the rest the Avocado Toast was beyond great, staff girlies amazing and the atmosphere is just great. The only perk is, as many places in bocas this one is suuuuuuper small and very crowded. I recommend it to have it as to go if you are taking a tour or something.

I’m don’t review spots but Amaranto truly deserves it. All female staff 🤩 with great service and ambiance. My Gosh, your yoghurt bowls are the best I’ve ever had. Came back numerous times. Filled with fruit, granola and incredible taste. Coffee is also amazing!

Very nice and quiet place relaxing to start your morning. We ordered the fried eggs was very good. The place is quite small so if you want to catch a place to sit better get ther on the earlier side.

Friendly staff and great breakfast options! I went with the Capresse sandwich and the portion was huge. The cafe is small with some indoor and outdoor seating.

Super nice and cozy place. We had homebread with hummus (yum!!) and and a waffle. It was yumsie, though not a lot. It wasn’t enough for lunch, but that could also be just us :) The homemade drink was okay but a little overpriced. Would recommend the food here :) (and probably coffee, but we don’t drink that 👍🏻)

My husband messaged them on WhatsApp ahead of time and they catered to my dietary restrictions (vegetarian, no egg, no alliums). They made a special ramen broth for me (mushroom and ginger based). We also got edamame and the avocado and cucumber roll (added cream cheese) from the happy hour menu. Great service & really friendly owners. Recommend!

Outstanding meal! Completely unpredictable and enjoyable. First time in Bocas and looking for a decent first dinner we stumbled upon this place. The food was flavorsome - flawless fusion of Japanese and Panamanian cuisine. Worth every PAB/USD— must try the ceviche mahi mahi and the Oreo tempura!

All of the food was absolutely fantastic. Spicy tuna roll, crunchy tuna appetizer, cevich appetizer, tsunami roll, Then the staff found out that we were celebrating my husband‘s birthday and brought out an awesome dessert and sang for him. Five star experience for sure! Everyone here is so professional and friendly.

This is really the place to go for sushi in Bocas del Toro. Quiet environment, wonderful view of the ocean and the islands, great service, friendly staff. I have been in a lot of sushi places , different countries, a variety of prices, this place, Raw, brings the best of all of them, the portions are great, the miso soup is the best I ever tried. The relation price quality is just right. Great job Hector and Marianela!! Keep going, I will be back for sure

Had a very good meal here tonight. We had, ceviche, spring rolls, gyoza, pad Thai, sweet Thai chicken, and ginger beef. We love Asian food and I would not say that this was the best of the best but it was very good. The sweet sesame chicken was good but the veggies and rice with it were a bit bland. Pad Thai was a very solid version. Loved the passion fruit juice! We would go back and from what I have seen snd heard it’s definitely the best Asian restaurant here!They did add a service fee and I believe tax so it was our most expensive meal to this point. Last but not least there is a nice view of the water which is always nice!

Wait help and bartender were very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. Had Cocoa Bocas cocktail, spicy tuna maki and banana spring roll. Everything tasted great and looked beautiful. Obvious the amount of care and effort the chef puts into each dish...it was really a work of art. Will come back to try more dishes

Had cocktails while waiting for a table, which was fun because of the little bar and rope swing with interesting and unique drinks. The wait was not too long, but we weren't in a rush nor starving. The dishes we ordered was the sangria, tapas box (appetizer sampler), the chicken (amazing blend of bacon, gorgonzola, sweet plantain and curry), and the tuna with strawberry soy sauce. Had the dessert surprise, which is always different but ours was a chocolate spring roll with banana and ice cream with a fruit gelatin. Service was great and very friendly, we stayed til closing because of the welcoming atmosphere. Lots of art, friendly animals and chill music. We're glad that our last dinner in Bocas del Toro was here!

They try super had here. The food was well presented and quite tasty. Prices were reasonable. When we were there they only had one waitress, so service was slow, but she was managing okay. It was an interesting mix of flavours and worth a visit while in Bocas.

The food is not bad but they had almost none of the dishes on the menu available, the waiter was friendly but it took a lot of time to order and receive the food. I had the tuna which was nice but wayyyy too small, it was more like a starter. One small fried ball of dry rice, just one bite and it was gone. When we mentioned this portion is quite small and were still hungry the waiter proposed that we could order a desert... no chance. He gave us the check which was couple of dollars wrong, maybe because he knew we would not give a tip.

Unbelievably good lobster salad rolls and free appetiser on the house. Only wanted something small and the waiter suggested this dish, it tasted as good as it looks. Excellent service and they are clearly very passionate about your experience here. Wish I could return but sadly it was my last night in Isla Colon!

This was the best meal by far that we've had in Panama. The food was incredible, amazing service and cool vibe. The sushi rolls are really good!

Super close to the port so you could easily come here with luggage if you had to; which is exactly what we did. The bathroom was clean, and the staff was fantastic. The crispy chicken in their sandwiches was so good, and we liked their sauces on everything we tried. We tried the curry Thai, crispy Cajun, fish and chips, patacones, and a few other items and there were all delicious. The fish in the fish and chips was super delicious and perfectly cooked. Great spot!

We ate here yesterday and it was a great experience all around. I ordered the jerk chicken in a pineapple bowl and everything was delicious, as well as the strawberry and passion fruit frappes, which we mixed together. Our food arrived within 5-10 mins and our bill was provided shortly after finishing our meal. Nice waterfront location with friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Food was exceptionally fresh and tasty. Views were incredible and the staff was so nice! Recommend the ceviche with the fried bread and the bowls are like nothing I’ve had before.

Coco Fastronomy has so many items on the menu that sound delicious! It's hard to decide what to order, but I eventually decided on the pulled chicken with curry bape. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but can't wait to visit again and try something else. The bape is a special treat, since I like bread. All of the ingredients, including the curry, are of exquisite quality. Service was good, as was the view. I highly recommend a visit.

I had a great time here. The fish and chips aren't bad but the crust should be a bit more flakey. Great staff that took care of of me asking with plenty of outdoor seating on the terraza on the gulf

Horrible burger! Soggy, ingredients tasted like they had been sitting all day. Had the double burger, asked for medium cooked... one patty was well and other was as rare as you could possibly make it. I got halfway through it and just gave the rest to the dog. And at $14.80 they don't even give fries with it! I'll never eat here again!

Delicious food, great drinks, friendly service, fun atmosphere, but… the hot sauce is not to be taken lightly. It hits the whole mouth and rests on the lips. It is an instant hot sensation. Be careful. It is delicious as well, but it will hurt you if you disrespect it. Servers were prompt, and they spoke English very well. Great experience

One of the best places to hang out! Lovely atmosphere, wonderful drinks (love the rum punch), very nice staff, delicious ceviche, jamming reggae music, and free access to amazing water. We felt like we had our own private island. We will be back!

Amazing yoga class! We enjoyed the vinyasa and afterwards the quite hour before more people came around 1pm. It’s a very chilly, familiar vibe. Delicious tacos (also vegan possible), very nice music (a lot of ‘00) and perfect for swimming and snorceling. We saw a lot of starfishes. Perfect place to chill out & enjoy the day! 🫶🏼

Super cool and fun bar floating right off the coast of Bocas. I only got a soda, but they serve alcohol and some typical bar food. The view is fantastic, and there's an upper level with lots of seating for it. All around, great concept that's done really well.

I absolutely love The Floating Bar. They make you feel like family from the moment you step on the deck. The service is great, the food is delicious & the drinks are strong. If you’re a Bocas Breeze Card holder, you can get 2 for 1 quesadillas any day. They also feature specials for everyone throughout the week so check their FB or Insta. I’ve been coming here for 2 years & we bring our guests on Monday for live music night. We LOVE IT & more important, our guests love it.

The Best fun and most relaxing place to socialize..I always have a blast. The most likely reason that it is the best place in Bocas would be the owners !!!!! Laura and Chad make it a little floating slice of heaven with a ton of fun...If you are looking for a great time with amazing people. It's the sweetest spot to go to while visiting the island.. From the moment you step foot on the dock you feel the positive vibe from everyone that is there. They have incredible fun friendly staff that make sure you enjoy each visit.

On his suggestion, we ordered the paella, which was absolutely fantastic – packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and generous in portion. For dessert, Mike guided us toward the dark chocolate mousse, and it did not disappoint. It was rich, smooth, and one of the best we’ve ever had. What stood out most was Mike’s energy and attentiveness. He checked in at just the right moments, clearly cared that we were enjoying ourselves, and made us feel truly welcomed. We left feeling so satisfied and happy – both with the food and the warm, genuine service. Highly recommend Meren, and if you’re lucky enough to have Mike as your server, you’re in for a treat!

Our server Lorena was so kind and helpful. We have eaten here multiple times on our trip as the atmosphere is calm and beautiful and the food is rich and delicious. 50$/ includes a drink each , a main and a dessert to share.

What a nice experience: - Ambiente - on the water front, ventilators protect against head and possible mosquitos - Service - just excellent, professional, caring without being pushy - Food - absolutely top, innovative but still down to earth. We had - after a light salad - as mains the Seafood Meloso Rice and the Rum & Pepper Tuna. The desert was the home made cheese cake. The dry white house wine recommended by the service fitted well to the dishes. We came back the next day to kill some time before our return flight and we enjoyed some light cocktails and an excellent ceviche.

Yesterday we had dinner at Merén Pool Club Restaurant, drawn in by a menu that promised sophistication infused with local flavors. Our expectations were not only met, they were exceeded. We loved everything: the food, the ambiance, the view, and the impeccable service. Sophistication was evident in the high-standard decor and elegant tableware, as well as in dishes crafted with quality ingredients and presented with care. The local touch was present in all dishes: in the rum and pepper sauce that elevated the perfectly seared tuna, and in the surprisingly exquisite arroz meloso de mariscos, a fusion of the Spanish paella technique with subtle local spices and a hint of sweet coconut. We were fortunate to personally compliment Chef Efraín — his creations were a real triumph. Special thanks as well to our waitress Lorena for her top-notch service. This was, without a doubt, the best dinner we’ve had in our five days on the islands. Thank you to the entire team! Including the guy on the street who respectfully gave us a look into the menu.

Great service and awesome food. Paid the 30 $ pool fee each which we used for food and drinks pretty easily. Great spot to watch all the boat traffic come and go in a chill upscale atmosphere.

Popped in here for an hour and a half planning a few beers and a swim before my flight from bocas- beautiful place. Had a beer and asked my lovely waiter - a young guy re having a swim- He told me it would be 30 Dollars! I thought he was joking and said I was leaving in an hour.: anywho. Decided to order lunch and another drink from him. Stripped of to go on the pool and the older female manager starts shouting at me “no, you pay 30 dollars across the bloody restaurant. Which IS lovely. - everyone is staring . I’m embarrassed and annoyed at this point. The sign says “consumption at the restaurant. Anyway then she starts having a. Go in Spanish at my waiter- I go to the till, order a cocktail to make sure it’s over 30 and she’s still scowling at me- NOT happy at all. A SA whole family go into swim from the restaurant . I’m pretty sure they didn’t pay 30. Dollars EACH- another English pair of women turn up- the stroppy manager is all over them. Not a great experience from a place I was considering coming back and staying at the adjoining rooms next time. I had the tuna salad. Average: fresh of course- raw tuna- not stated. The cocktail was amazing and I tipped the bar girl and my guy. The older woman/ manger continued to fawn over every other guest in the restaurant but ignore me. Weird and rude!

Very tasty and fresh food - tacos with tuna was perfect for evening, not too much and not too little. Highly recommended

Nice place, and I've had good and welcoming service. The burger was good but the bacon was too thick and not crispy enough to my taste. The fries had good potential but were WAY too salty (burger was quite salty too). That's why I gave 4* put of 5. I got 2 good (and well-presented) piña colada for the price of one thanks to the happy hour. Adding the current menu as the prices have gone up a little since the last menu posted.

Do not come here! If I could rate it a zero I would. We waited over 30 mins for our food to come. They gave us the wrong order twice. The portions were small. I pointed what we ordered and they still have my husband the wrong dish. When I informed the waiter my food was cold, he got an extreme attitude. All I wanted was for them to heat it up-not even replace it. He insisted the plate was hot. I took a piece of the omelette and put it in his hand and said touch that. I have no idea how this place got the rating it did.

As a Costarican that lived in Asheville this place feels like home. Amazing everything... The music the ambience the food. The Burrito Chingón is amazing or the classic Burger too. Will come back as soon I land to this Island again!

The food was good, we liked the tuna and limonada con pepino. Price to portion size ratio could be better. You have a nice view on the street sitting outside.

This was good and fresh food. Not too expensive and overall decent-- but the service was extremely bad. We had to walk to the counter three times to get the waiter who was just standing there talking. Probably would not go back due to the poor service. Everybody else was OK.

Update! The restaurant has been renovated & has indoor seating with AC! I love eating here. All the things I’ve tried are delicious but my favorite thing here are the Happy Fries. They are so good with pico de gallo, a bean hummus & sour cream drizzle. I love their Deli & Buddha Bowls. The fish tacos are fabulous as well. The service is always friendly & helpful.

Not your typical dining experience. 5 course meal, no menu, no choice. You get what your given. Part of the charm is not knowing what you're going to be eating. If you have any restrictions just tell them ahead of time (when you make your reservation) and they will accommodate you fully! The food is FANTASTIC as is the service. The portions are the perfect size so that you can eat all 5 courses and leave not feeling disgustingly full. 23 dollars per person is really a great price for what you're getting. A must visit while in bocas!

Fabulous meal. I ate here two nights in a row. Each night was a different five course meal. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an exquisite meal.

A small and quiet restaurant by a Spanish chef and a German waiter who own the restaurant. They serve a fixed 5 course menu (3 small appetizers, 1 main, 1 desert). The food we had was very delicate and perfectly seasoned. Portions are on the small side. Note they only take cash!

The food is so good. We live the flowers all around and the waves in the background. You don't get to pick what you want off a menu. You eat whatever they make that night, but that's ok because everything we ate was amazing.

We ate here and at Azul the next night. Guari Guari wins hands down. It is a very simple setting but the food that comes out of that kitchen was exquisite. With 3 appetizers, a main and dessert, there was also plenty of food. Highly recommend!!!!

Located about 5 minutes out of the downtown area and set across the street from the beach and crashing waves in the background. We were staying close by and were happy to stumble upon this character cuisine. They serve a 5 course fixed menu which was delicious. The owners share the front and back of house responsibilities and take a lot of pride in their work. An unexpected surprise and delight. Thank you Claus and Chef! - Pura Vida

We went to this place for lunch. The food was very tasty. My family had Huevos Pancheros and I had a delicious fried chicken sandwich on a very fluffy bun. The menu had a lot of different options, including fun nonalcoholic drinks. The atmosphere was quiet because we were there early in the morning, but I could see at night. This place would be hopping. The service was OK. The server was fine, but not particularly friendly. It took a very, very long time to get our food and drinks, but I’m going to chalk that up to the fact that they had just opened in the morning when we first got there. Overall, I could see coming back here.

My mom (65), daughter (14) and I (40) all had such an excellent experience here this evening. The ambiance is fabulous and the food is so fresh and tasty! Our server Franklin was so helpful and welcoming and made our dinner really pleasant.

Its a bit of a casual caribbean party vibe. I didn't use the bathroom but it seemed clean. The service was pretty ok but not especially attentive. The food was served at the same time and the menu was extensive.the fries were warm, tasted great and had only about 10% nuggets (smaller than my little finger)! We would go back if ever we are back on the island.

Nice surf, dive vibe place. Huge menu, decent service . Food could be definitely better . Burger came with over fried egg, meat cutlet had a strong flavor of chopped pepper and wasn’t very fresh. Aged fries on side … If you ask they can bring mustard sauce otherwise the dish comes with ketchup. We took a chance with a cocada drink but unfortunately it wasn’t well described in the menu and instead of refreshing Coconut drink it was overwhelmingly sweet cream of coconut, condensed milk frappe topped with canela .

The Mediterranean food at Sababa is so tasty and made with 🫶! We went for the falafel plate and the chicken shawarma pitta. The plate comes with pitta and delicious dips - babaganoush, hummus, tahini, aioli (amongst others) - all the good stuff 🤩. The portion sizes are great too. The staff are super friendly and the interior design is really cool.

Best food we had in Bocas!!! We ordered Shawarma, Beef Kabab, Shakshuka, and Falafel and were amazed by the quality of everything. These dishes come with Humus, Tahini, and variety of salads and Pita Bread. Everything was so authentic and mouthwatering . We definitely recommend Savana to anyone we know that traveling in the area!!

Sababa serves first rate delicious Israeli food- fresh, high quality and delicious- only one problem- portions are massive! ;) We ended up chatting with the owners for an hour- hat a lovely sweet couple. Eat here and you won‘t regret it! Fantastic value and delicious.

Delicious food, beautiful space and the owners treat you like family. Ginger the dog is pretty special as well. I had the chicken shawarma plate and the flavours were amazing. The pita and dips were exceptional. Highly recommend.

The place is beautiful and very welcoming, with a nice atmosphere. Anthony was absolutely amazing: he greeted us with a complimentary starter and, at the end, offered us a little dessert on the house. He was always attentive and available for any request such kindness is something we haven’t found anywhere else, and we were really impressed. The food was also excellent: both the grilled octopus and the burgers were tasty and well prepared.

We stood in the Divers Paradise Hotel and firstly we did’t want to try the restaurant. But one night we decided to eat here, and I can say I had the best food experience around Panama. The atmosphere is very intimate and pleasant. Most of the restaurants offer nice views but this one I think is nicer. The food: we had ceviche caribeno, taco de camarones, carimanolas tipicas, camarones al ajillo. This was the best fish ceviche I had in two weeks of eating across Panama. All the food was not extremely spiced or full of sauce. You can feel the whole flavors but in a perfect mixture. Carimanolas were incredibly soft. It is a must place to eat when staying in Isla Colon. In the end, we had Tarte Tatin with Pina and Helado Del Chef. The staff is very kind, but Cheryl is awesome. She was the one to guide us in this culinary experience we will not forget.

If you are looking for a place for a classy dinner, this is it! We even had a woman play the violin and people sitting on the Dock with a dinner for two. So romántico!!

If you are looking for a more experience oriented meal, then this is a great option. Service and atmosphere were amazing. However the price does not nearly match the quality of food you will receive. There are much better options if you are just looking for a good meal.

I read a glowing review of the restaurant and Anthony the server. Everything was just as described. Anthony was wonderful. Food was wonderful. View was lovely. Just the best meal and overall experience. Excellent margaritas too.

If you come to Bocas del Toro, DO NOT miss a dinner at Arboloco!! (Reservation a must) Caribbean food done right. Husband and wife opened the very cool looking restaurant and it was amazing! Getting there is part of the adventure 🥴 I would visit Bocas again just for the restaurant!! Jerk chicken, bbq prawns, sides included fire roasted corn, marinated cucumber and lentils! The Lime pie with chocolate was beyond amazing!

It's one of the most amazing places we've ever been for a meal. The restaurant was hand built by Clem, one the owners and a super friendly guy. The food was great and the service, excellent. It's very much worth the trip up to Bluff Beach.

Authentic delicious Caribbean cuisine with funky artisanal furniture and decor. Incredible drinks coconut shrimp and lobster fritters. The freshly pressed sugar cane and rum drink, and passionfruit rum drinks were the tastiest drinks so far on our 5 days here in bocas. Bring extra bug spray you will need it. Incredible experience overall!

We love it!! We've been there two times this week. The first time was about 4 on a Saturday so we popped in for a quick drink and coconut shrimp appetizer. Our waitress Erica was delightful, friendly, and so welcoming! The place is super charming and exotic. The second time we went for dinner and got the pork tenderloin and it was a huge delicious portion! It feels like a cute family amongst the bartender, waitress and the chefs. We highly recommend!!

The setting is amazing and the staff very kind. Prices are understandably quite high, considering the type of place. I liked the food, it was good, but expected more given the reviews and prices. Had the Lobster fritters and the Roatan soup and the flavours just were not anything special or memorable. The same goes for the signature cocktail.

Last night we and a private party of about 20 had an enchanting meal at Arboloco. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food and drinks alone were fantastic but the owners/hosts were extremely attentive, generous, and welcoming. My husband and I are vegetarian and we left with our bellies contentedly full. The meat/fish eaters in our party were equally pleased. It is a super romantic place for a special date night meal or if you want to feel like you are eating a meal cooked by a highly skilled friend or family member. The restaurant itself is a work of art with hidden details in every corner and beautiful handmade lighting. Make your way out to Paunch; it is definitely worth the effort. This is our new favorite place. Sorry folks, I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take photos of the food. YUM!

Having eaten all over the world, and being a die hard foodie, I can easily say this restaurant’s food is now in my top ten best meals of my life. Creative menu, without being too weird. Artistic ambience. Lovely attentive service. Home made everything!!! If you are ever in Bocas do yourself a favor and go bask in the glory of this chef’s creations. I ordered the coconut shrimp, the five seed bread, and “forced” myself to order the amazing torte for desert because I didn’t want the goodness to end. The only thing wrong with that meal was that it eventually concluded. If you’re looking for artistic, generous, creative, fresh food in a magical , tropical location in the jungle, just steps from the ocean, make certain to go here. I am smitten!!

My wife and I have stayed here multiple times and it is amazing! The owners and staff do a fantastic job to make paradise even more amazing. We are now home owners in the area and this is are go to place for food and beverages, it is second to none. Went for dinner tonight (Saturday) and had the Argentine BBQ platter for two with an added prawn skewer. It was amazing! The filet was perfect, tender, juicy and flavorful. The tuna was perfectly seared and seasoned. The prawns were tender and sweet. Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is so relaxing with beautiful gardens, lots of birds, the ocean breeze and sounds of gentle waves. The people and staff are friendly and welcoming. Best experience we’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back!

Five stars all the way! This is our fourth visit to the Bluff and our first stay at The Hummingbird. It was the best experience! The rooms are awesome with great views. The landscaping can't be beat, so make sure you tour the whole grounds. The beach is steps away and the staff, food and energy is the best!

The extended family stayed at the Hummingbird for Christmas vacation. The two hosts, Gary and Betsy, were extremely friendly and helpful at all times, finding us taxis and recommending us things to do. The rooms were high-end wood rustic and very comfortable with amenities like fans, fresh filtered water, and beach towels. The breakfast was outstanding and giant every morning. The bartenders from Argentina crafted each cocktail carefully. The bar area was welcoming and warm, and frequently full of locals, who obviously also enjoyed our hosts and the spot. Lobster and ceviche was outstanding. The tropical garden surrounding the entire location is full of blooming flowers and wildlife. Behind is an amazing bamboo grove with a cathedral-like effect we found soothing. So restful and well done. Highest recommendation!

This place its heaven.. i should keep it secret… the best Moijito i had in ages, also the Tuna bowl was spot on! Great service, wifi, amazing location… i will definitely go back.. i just regret i didn’t book the hotel and opted for something else.. this place is a dream.

The place is gorgeous. Rooms are spacious and well decorated with all the facilities you need. Outside your cabin you have your own place to sit. The pool is nice and the garden is lush and home to a lot of wonderful animals which is wonderful. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Since this place is very remote and the road to get there is horrible, there are only a few options to eat. The hotel offers food too but the kitchen is closed on Sundays and for lunch. This means that for those moments you have to rely on the (two) nearby restaurants. The food from the direct neighbors got me sick but the pizzas at the restaurant at the end of the road were pretty good. Do take this into account when booking this accommodation.

The Hummingbird definitely is what paradise looks like. The grounds are covered with tropical plants, flowers, butterflies, and of course hummingbirds. We also saw monkeys and a sloth. The room had a spectacular view of the jungle-like grounds and the ocean. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The back of the property has a fabulous path through the jungle, while in front is the beach. The owners Gary and Betsy along with the staff are very accommodating and welcoming. Loved the pool! Also the food at their restaurant is so delicious with lots of options for vegan or non, my husband enjoyed the filet and lobster. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be returning for visit. 🩵

Best burger i’ve had in all Central America and best fries i’ve had in my entire life. Honestly for $12 it was more than worth it, and service was very quick as well. The live music was a nice bonus, overall an amazing experience !

I absolutely love this place. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was amongst friends and family. It's definitely a vibe. Chill atmosphere, great service, and the food is on point. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I met the owner, and he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. If I lived here, this would definitely be my go-to bar to chill. They have amazing happy hour options so you can get as lit as you want without hurting your pockets. The food is fresh and high quality. They have an open kitchen so you can see them cook. The kitchen is clean and the cooks know what they're doing. If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry. They have a bilingual staff. This place attracts friendly people. Don't be surprised if you leave with new friends and contacts. If you decide to go, you won't be disappointed.

Ate and drank here a few times. Service is always good and the food quality it's some of the best I've had in Panama. Definitely go for the happy hour where the drink specials change about every 2 hours. Also as an American it is super nice to hear some American rock and roll instead of regaeton and salsa for a change. Haha.

Great food, good drinks specials and friendly staff. Enjoyed our first time here we came back later that same day. The burrito is delicious (huge portion), tacos nice but small and chicken a little tough, nachos (more like wedges) seriously good.

We had dinner here a few times during our vacation and thought the food was wonderfully tasty. Unfortunately, the service is not quite at the same level. At busy times, you wait for a very long time and tell your order to several waiters most of whom then don't bring you anything. And at quieter times almost the same thing happened ... somebody takes your order and then you sit there waiting, without getting anything to drink (not even water) before your food arrives. Lovely location by the water.

We loved this restaurant. The ambient was beautiful and very well organized. The staff very friendly and welcoming. The food was the star of the show for sure. We loved the fish coocoo. It was just delicious and mouth watering. Would get it again for sure. We liked the curry as well, but not as much as the fish stew. The dock and the beach are also beautiful. A must visit.

We had a fantastic meal here on New Year’s Eve. We were two people and ordered the patacones, lamb ravioli, shrimp curry and octopus. Plates are very easy to share (we had a little leftover but wanted to try them all) and delicious. Very rich with wonderful Caribbean/curry fusion. Octopus is the house specialty and I understand why - full of flavour and incredibly tender. I have yet to have a bland or disappointing dish here. The cocktails are also amazing and unique. We met the manager, Carlos, on a boat from Bocas Town to Carenero and he was so kind to squeeze us in on their busiest night. He was warm and accommodating when we arrived. Whether youre staying in town or on Carenero this place is a must.

Wow. We came here by water taxi after a day at Red Frog Beach. We enjoyed sunset on the water and landed here shortly after. From dock to table, less than 5 min. Drinks in hand shortly there after. On Sundays they have the charcoal grill going. We had a group of 8, and showed up at the same time as another big group. That was unusual for a Sundat evening. The owner was there and jumped in to help push food out to the different tables. The flavors, out of this world. Being able to know that no matter how hard I tried to recreate this dish, it would never be the same. Hearing the waves and the sear from the grill. The food smells and smoke covered up the smell of citronella in the air from the house made essential oils to keep the Chitra away we all made sure to use. The in-house made hibiscus and ginger drink was excellent. Cold beer if you'd prefer. Fresh seafood, pork ribs, the octopus was outstanding and my new favorite with every meal patacones. We tried it all. The caramelized local cacao nibs on the mousse and the jackfruit ice cream were the perfect close to the meal. I would look to stay at the hotel attached my next visit. Well done friends.

I am also one who rarely reviews a restaurant but, as most of the other reviewers have indicated, Receta Michilá is a real find. The dishes are artistic creations blending flavors and textures. We are staying next door at the Faro Colibri acquatic lodges and are eating at the Receta Michilá for our 4th meal in a row (lunch and dinner). Of special mention so far (as we work our way through the menu) is the goat ravioli with a savory turmeric infused basil sauce (calling it pesto does not do it justice), and the mesquite smoked BBQ pork special. About to have our 4th meal served so can update on today’s choices. Update: had to go back to the goat ravioli but also tasted the creamy rice seafood (coconut milk, clams, shrimp) and beetroot salad. Another mention was the roasted pumpkin hummus. Deserts were excellent as well (jackfruit ice-cream and chocolate mousse. Also, the cocktails are amazing. Special mention to the passion fruit mojito and the turmeric twist.

If you can please try the food. Is amazing! Is hard to find local Caribbean food for real in Colon Island so the seafood here was a great deal, the sauce, the octopus, and also just in front of the beach! Great option! Also they have chairs in front of the ocean and easy to take Boat Taxis back to Colon Island.

Had a lovely evening meal here. Ordered bruschetta to start, which was fresh and light. I had the tagliatelle with ragu and partner had mahi mahi fusilli - lovely sized portions, food hot and delicious. Very reasonably priced bottle of red wine. Owners were very kind and welcoming, we had a lovely, relaxed time.

WOW WOW WOW am amazing restaurant that is owned by an Italian Chef and his lovely wife Andrea, the food is Amazing (!), the service by Andrea was incredible and the general vibe of the restaurant is fun !! For me it was not expensive compared to the size of the plates and the taste!! Thanks for the experience we will definitely come back !

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was great! The view is cool because the restaurant is on the second floor. I got the beef carpaccio as an appetizer and the meatball sub for my entree, and I really enjoyed both. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Lovely little Italian place in the middle of Bocas Town! We loved the service, the big portions and the cheesecake (must try!). Relatively cheap in comparison to what you get. Grazie mille!

This restaurant is AMAZING! I went here for my birthday dinner and loved everything! The owners make all the food from scratch themselves. The owner was lovely and went through each dish with us. The garden salad was large and the house white wine was delicious and inexpensive. I got the truffle pasta (a favorite of mine) and this dish was no exception. My friend got the fish and loved her meal as well. The portion was large and I had enough to take back and enjoy the next day. I cannot recommend this place enough. Wonderful food, wonderful people, wonderful prices! P.S. I would recommend arriving early. It is a smaller restaurant and they only take so many guests as they prepare all the food fresh themselves to ensure the best quality and service!

By far some of the best Italian food we’ve ever eaten and I’ve been to ITALY. we got the ragu and the ravioli (which was a special). You cannot leave without trying their bruschetta WOWZA it’s out of this world

The food was really on spot, we had 2 pastas and the portion are as good as the taste! Really recommend! The service is nice as well always with a smile and care if we were enjoying our meal.

Definitely a hidden gem on Isla Carenero. We will still be raving over the tacos and pizza we got here. We got chicken tacos and a pizza with artichoke and bacon that was to die for. A beautiful hotel where the staff truly cares for the guests. Instead of a buffet breakfast with abundant but low-quality food, they serve delicious and photogenic à la carte breakfasts! Just avoid the ‘friends & family room’ — it’s really only suitable for five children!

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. At night there was constant noise — both from outside (traffic, people shouting) and inside (doors slamming, guests being loud in the hallways). It was impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. On top of that, the shower was practically unusable. There was almost no water pressure, and the temperature couldn’t be adjusted — it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. After a long day, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. During our stay, we repeatedly contacted the hotel staff regarding the malfunction in our room. Only after several requests was a maintenance worker sent to our room, who spent an entire morning there without resolving the issue. Unfortunately, our experience was very uncomfortable, and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Honestly, out of the 4 different places we've stayed so far (the others being in Costa Rica) this place is gorgeous. The photos I found online do NOT do it justice. We're in one of the ocean front suites, so maybe that's part of it. But its beautiful, and the staff are some of the nicest people i've interacted with thus far in our journey. This just was not at all what we were expecting, but way beyond.

Banana mama is an amazing restaurant. Great views Kleen really good things to eat this Saturday. Brunch was fantastic. I recommend it Hailee to anyone that stops in Boca del toro. Tourist friendly with a local vibe.

I have been thinking a lot about what to write. Whilst the service was extremely kind I feel like one has to be warned of staying here. There is a night club right next door. It gets very loud until 4am. I would warn anyone to sleep here as it is not possible. We decided to shorten our trip as it was not possible for us to sleep all night. The staff were very understanding and kind, which I truly appreciate, the noise level makes me wonder how the reviews are still so positive, I am sure you can make up your minds yourself. Unless you plan to party until 4am every night unfortunately I cannot recommend staying here until the nightclub closes.

Central American countries rarely know how to make even a decent pizza, however Rosa Blanca surprised us with such great pizza that we were back for more within a week! The pizza was perfectly cooked, the crust crispy and chewy. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and comfortable. Highly recommended! We will be returning many times while in Bocas!

Finally got to try this new pizza restaurant in Bocas & it is so good! We had the shrimp with Alfredo sauce and the Prosciutto with ricotta & arugula. Both had a delicious, thin crust. I enjoyed their spicy oil on it as well. Service was excellent; friendly & attentive.

The pizzas are made fresh to order in mini pizza ovens however, the restaurant doesn’t have many ovens so the food can be slow to come. It also took forever for us to get the bill as well. The pizzas taste good

All I can say is WOW. We found this place kind of by accident and a super happy accident it was. The Hawaiian pizza was extremely good. Freshly made and just the perfect amount of crunch. But that meat pizza with onion...omg. Could very well be one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. I think this might be my new favorite pizza place ever.

I got the Margherita pizza and it was absolutely amazing!! It was fresh, tasty and just perfect. I also got a fresh lemonade and it was excellent. Our waiter, Chino, was very friendly and nice. My fiancée got the pizza with prosciutto and loved it too. They were playing Marc Anthony music so that added a special touch!! I highly recommend this place

I wish I could give this a five star review! Great pizza with creative toppings but service and atmosphere were a bit lacking. We read so many delightful reviews that we decided to give it a try. The pizza is five stars but the atmosphere/service is only three/four. Let’s start with the areas of improvement and move on to the food. When we arrived, the bathrooms were locked. I had been swimming all day and I really needed to change (and I needed to use the facilities). We met someone who said we could sit at a table, and then the person disappeared. The only one around seemed to be a bartender and somebody cleaning the floors. I asked the bartender if I could go to the bathroom and the bartender (who also seemed to be the sole server and was making a lot of drinks) acknowledged my request but that was it. And so he finished making a lot of drinks before he opened the bathroom. It would’ve taken him one second to unlock the bathrooms and get back to his drinks. If a place is open, then the bathrooms should be one of the first things they unlock before they start setting up the bar etc. When we were seated, we really did not receive a server right away. Again, the only person there was the one bartender, who also seemed to be taking orders. Then they started cleaning and mopping the floors underneath us, and it was a very strong chemical smell, so we moved to the tables that were outside (keep in mind, there is no real true “inside“ it’s just outside, covered and outside not-as-covered). So we just moved as far away as possible from her mopping. While we were waiting on our server, we approached the bar, because the bartender was there, and I asked him if he could make a drink which was on the menu, and he said he was out of the ingredients. So I ordered something else, and they were out of that, and I finally settled on a third item. My teens got something that was blended and they really enjoyed their drinks. So the service experience was really tricky, but the pizza was excellent! So it definitely raised the experience and my rating. I got the truffle pizza which had a lot of truffle on it. In a great way! Really power- packed with truffle flavor. So exciting. My family also enjoyed all of their pizzas. My daughter is a vegetarian, and just loved all of the offerings they had. My husband’s pizza had prosciutto, and it was just covered in prosciutto. And prosciutto is expensive! They did a great job with the toppings. Really five star! All the pizzas were fantastic and again, I really wish I could give this rating five stars. There was a really large table that was seated next to us that kept growing with people; they were either expats or tourists so a lot of the service attention was spent on that table. We were the only other table besides them. And this was totally fine, I understand when a big party comes in, and I also understand that it is the off-season and perhaps they were out of things (like ingredients for my drinks). I’m glad they weren’t out of particular pizzas and pizza toppings, just out of drink ingredients. I had read about how warm and welcoming the place was and how wonderful all the servers are, but perhaps people were sick or had the day off, because we did not find that to be the case. I am going to assume they were just understaffed and maybe that explains why the bathroom was not open and they were not ready for service when we arrived. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. Will I go back again? Probably because the pizzas were so good, and everybody deserves a second chance!

Overall very nice place with lots of space. Kitchen is minimalistic but with a little imagination, you can prepare a reasonable meal. AC works great and the showers are good. Not fancy but but clean enough and centrally located.

We stayed in a twin room with two double beds. The room was a good size, and the shower had plenty of hot water with good pressure. The building itself is charming and full of character. It’s also very quiet, offering a peaceful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Credit card payments are accepted, which is convenient. The Wi-Fi can be a little unreliable at times but generally works fine. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the main town where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, street food, and bars. There’s also a lovely veranda on both the ground and first floors, perfect for relaxing. I would happily stay here again.

I thought this place was great, the location is the best feature, it's right at the end of the main drag and right across from my favorite boat tour co-op. It feels like a southern plantation home that's been renovated into a hotel. Breakfast options were limited so if you want variety, I wouldn't buy the breakfast here for more than one day. But it's a great deal for breakfast, I don't think we would have eaten anywhere else at that price. It might be helpful to know that breakfast is actually not hosted in the same building, it's at a different restaurant a couple of minutes down the street. Everything in the room worked great, the AC, hot water, bed was nice, and it made for a great weekend.

We had a great stay (4 of us) in their apartment-room. The place was as expected. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the location was great on the south end of Bocas which is within walking distance to basically everything and still a bit on the quiet side (depending on the time of year and neighbours). AC in the 2nd room was placed above the bed, which made it a bit cold at night with the draft. The hot water stopped working, but since you'll be steaming anyway it was no big deal for any of us.

This hotel was wonderful! The building and rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff is so friendly! It's at the end of the main road but is absolutely walking distance to everything. And being at the end, it was a little quieter, not so surrounded by parties and bars.

Fun place outside of town and with a wonderful view. It is a bit of a trek to get there, but once you do they have great tacos and cocktails. More than worth it. Very relaxed atmosphere and the owners are really amazing.

It is one the most cozy good for date, the food is really good. I celebrated my beautiful wedding here. The food was so delicious, the staff really friendly and helpful, Tommy was so helpful before the wedding and the day of the wedding with the help of @panamasocialevents for the decoration and the planning parts everything was wonderful. If you are looking for a good place to do a private event as I did, this is a great place to put in your list. My husband and I were so happy how everything turned out. For our first dinner my wife ordered Fried White Snapper. It came with patacones, twice fried plantains, and a side salad. The fish was over fried, so much so that even the meat was crispy; not good. I ordered Lobster Meat in Creole Sauce. It came with patacones and coconut rice. This dish was delicious. The coconut rice was the best I had on the island. The rice had coconut flavored infused throughout, but was not overdone or overpowering; perfect balance. For our second dinner my wife ordered the Fried White Snapper again, but this time we informed the waiter of our previous experience and asked him to inform the cook not to over fry this time. Delicious! Best Indian food I’ve had since my mother in law (who is Indian) last cooked for me. On the pricier side but very delicious.

We love this place !! I have been here several times and every time I know that the meal is going to be amazing!! They have options of tasting plates for you to try from the Indian menu and it's very fun !! LOVE the owner sunanda an Indian woman who loves to bring her culture to the table, HIGHLY recommended !!

Delicious authentic Indian food in a quiet little waterfront restaurant. They also serve some Thai dishes like Pad Thai. It's a good choice if you can't decide what you want to eat.

The good reviews are what drew us to this place. Went for a classic margarita 🍹 and was pleasantly surprised. Not overly sweet like others we've tried. Ordered 2 pizzas ( Hawaiian and the prochuto ricotta arugula). Delicious. These were thin crust, and the crust wasn't tough or chewy, just right. Toppings are fresh and generous. There was only one server, and she was quite busy, so patience goes a long way. The pizzas are cooked in a traditional wood fired oven, giving them that classic taste and texture. We even had a local join us. She was unimposing and very quiet during the meal 😄 Well worth visiting if you're in the mood for pizza.

If this really is the “best pizza in town” then one cannot say that you can eat good pizza in Bocas del Toro. Neither can we support the claim that they are authentic Italian cuisine. The pizza wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either.

Excellent and perfect tasting wood fired pizza!!! We went here about three weeks ago. It was family oriented and priced affordably. It could also be a nice couples place too. The customer service was excellent!!! The pizza was delicious with a nice smokey flavor!!! I can taste it thinking about it right now. Wow!!! It was really delicious!!! We got the pepperoni. You can't go wrong with a great pepperoni pizza!!! I can't wait to come here again!!! I would definitely recommend this place for everyone!!!

I really like this place. The salads, the pasta and the pizzas are very good. The servers are excellent, all the employees are nice, and very fair prices. I take off one star for 2 important things. They refuse to give you a glass of water. You have to by a plastic bottle. Across the street, down the street, most places are are happy to serve you a glass of water. And secondly paying by credit card incurs a 3% charge. Most restaurants on this main street do accept cc with no charge. So improvement needed.

We loved it here. We had pizza, pasta and caesar salad. All was excellent except the pasta. It needed to be cooked a little longer and the carbonara sauce was to thick. The portion sizes are very generous and we customer service is excellent. Would definitely go again .

We spent the day watching the NFC & AFC championship games. It was very lively and met some cool folks from around the world. Fun for drinks 🍸 but skipp the food.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for some bar food and beer. Only 2 people there. The bartender seemed to not want to be there, maybe he was having a bad day. Drank one beer and left. Won't go back. Go to Skullys if you are looking for someplace like this.

All was good until the owners drunk husband wanted to fight a customer. Rosie is a great bartender, and I felt sorry for what all the staff and customers had to deal with. I'm not sure if we will go back again.

One of the worst burgers I had in a long time, it took them around 10 minutes to make. The patty was soggy, tasteless and looked disgusting. It didn't have any crust at all. There was no burger sauce. The lower bread was also completely soggy and mushy. Not recommendable at all, bad food. Easily one of the worst burgers I ate in a few years.

We came there to have lunch, but it was very disappointing. The food was very little and the fish was not even fresh. They have the sea right in front for getting fresh fish. I didn’t had a good feeling eating that fish especially because of getting food poisoned. I don’t recommend to eat there. The only good thing was the passionfruit juice, which was very nice.

Terrible food, terrible service. Tough and chewy fish, dry when a la plancha but the creole sauce was also bland and bad. I had also ordered a mini bottle of sparkling rosé for $5.50. It came apparently unopened but was totally flat when I poured it - probably ancient, and stored in the heat. The waitress didn't care at all, and was very rude. We paid the bill in a hurry to run for the bus and I saw after they had charged me $9.10 for it, more even than the menu price . The location is amazing but I guess because of it they just want to rip off tourists.

This was the worst food I’ve had in Central America. We had calamari and fries and both the plates were cold! I wanted to send them back but my friends were too hungry 🥲 the fries were also TINY. Enjoy a drink and view but don’t get food here 😅 The servers were quite nice, good people. Just terrible food.

Came here for lunch and incredibly disappointing. We are the only ones here and took 35 minutes for our (2 people) food to come and another 12 minutes for the patacones to come with my dish. The portion of fish was VERY small, maybe like 2oz and overall very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Came here for lunch and should have studied the latest reviews as they are correct. Food and drinks are heavilly overprized even if the food would be good. We also had 'fresh' Fish, which was definatelly not fresh, as it smelled like fish. The waitress was more interested in her mobile phone, then to serve us. In the end we had to pay 80 USD 2 meals and 4 sodas. Advise to walk past this restaurant to Estrella Beach, where there are much better and cheaper simple restaurants. Yanisnori now also introduced a USD 3 parking fee, which used to be free.

I was there for the great sport festival doing Open Water swimming and Yarisnori was the host responsible for that event. It was just perfect. Delicious and friendly beside the great competition 😎

Excellent service and excellent pizza! The right amount of fluffy and crispy dough. And the boy who is the waiter is super thoughtful and extremely polite - it definitely deserves a visit (even in low season like when I came)

We were staying on Paunch Beach & just walked down to this Ciao. Great atmosphere for a little pizza beach stop. They have a wood fired pizza oven and the aroma really draws you in. I made my own pizza with jalapeños, pineapple, & mushrooms & the wife did her own. The service was great and the beer was cold. The pizza was just as good. I finished mine entirely and my wife left 2 pieces, but that’s why she’s skinny. This is a great little cool place & we recommend it

Pizza in the jungle! This place is a delight for all the senses: birds chirping, the crackling pizza oven, and super fresh ingredients on the pizzas that explode with flavor. Really nice couple that run the place make you feel right at home immediately. Pre set pizza choices run from the typical to the innovative. But right from the start they invite you to create your own masterpiece by mixing and matching from the ingredients list. I would love for them to put 1/2 chickens in that wood oven! Got to make it back there again before I leave the area.

Their pizza is amazing! Freshly made with quality ingredients, with great combo of flavors and just the right amount of toppings. We ate here 3 days in a row! Our favorite was Bianca Veggie but you really can't go wrong. One is enough for two people with smaller appetites, but you could easily eat a whole pizza, it's so good! Given how hard it must be to get the good ingredients and the wood for the oven, it's really affordable too. Delicious food and super nice service!

Pizzas were so GOOOOOD !! The crust was seriously unbeatable. Serves were super friendly and onto it. The only downside was the tiramisu. I had high hopes after having one of the best pizzas ever and unfortunately not quite the same level (I’m a tiramisu lover) Get the pizzas, skip dessert

Incredible experience- best on the island. We got two pizzas, the house made gelato, wine and bought chocolate made by one of the team. It was high quality food and experience from start to finish. It’s small so you might need to wait but it is 100% worth it. Hard working and lovely people run the operation - add this to your stop on the island. It will be a highlight.

In a town with generally extremely slow service, Munchies "Express" really stands out. After an hour with zero communication from the staff, when we asked for an estimate, they started the "it'll be 5 mins" dance. 1.5 hours for a very standard burger in a not even half-full restaurant is very much not ok. Avoid! [Edit: and don't you know: when we checked out they tried to overcharge us as well... 🤬]

Best burger in Bocas. I’ve tried most of the burgers on this island, and Munchies Express is by far is the best. They serve a great flame broiled patty, fresh bacon and american cheese, and the construction as well as ingredient portioning of the burger is spot on. My family really enjoyed digging in. No frills local laid back Isla Colon atmosphere. Cash only so come prepared.

The other reviews are a little high. This place isn't on the water and the burgers are so so. The wedges are good with the dipping sause. Also they overcharge on the bill from what was listed. A few places in bocas add a service charge which they pull out of the air. A better option is johns bakery or cafe del mar.

Cheese fries were perfect. A bit on the pricey side $4 cheese fries and $6 cocktails but worth it. Good ambiance. Great spot to chill with friends and actually hear each other.

Taste is really good, not too much dough, ingredients are okay, value for cost is good, if you are looking for upscale place, it's not. I would like to visit again. I recommend for who is carving wooden oven cooked pizza. Gracias 🙏

Absolutely a wonderful hidden gem. By far the best Italian in Bocas, even though you'd never tell it from the look of the place. Great pizza in a brick oven with quality ingredients, amazing pasta and unique sauces you won't find anywhere else in town. Skip the expensive tourist places and go here for sure.

Nice pizza - 4 formagi! But...25 minute wait for a pizza with three occupied tables x 2 people and two takeout orders!!! Twice they came to ask me if the Coke is for me, is the spaghetti for me??? I order a glasd of vine! More 10 minutes the waitress struggled to open the wine bottle to pour me a glass! No internet. The location is bad - the road is under repair, heavy traffic - and in the evening! Sorry, but that's the truth 😞

The pizza itself is okay! But the rest...I asked for the small Pizza on the menu as I was alone and the woman from the kitchen said they don't offer these. Well 20 minutes later the small pizza for locals semed not be an order issue. I asked why I couldnt get one. The answer was they are out of small pizza. Yeah to make the dough smaller really? I spoke spanish the whole time so understanding was not an issue. I guess me beeing a tourist was the reason. End of it they got more money and I got half a pizza food waste and a not so nice feeling for my last night.

Great ambiance and a myriad of food choices. Definitely a place to go for sight seeing, relaxing, good food and drink. Service slow but it's like that everywhere on "island tine". Hidden gem on the backend of a store. Found it by chance and we canceled our previous dinner plans somewhere else just to stay there. Seating is comfortable and you can jump into the water and swim of you want. Great view of neighboring islands.Regret not taking more pictures.

My family of 10 had 5 rooms for 8 days at La Casa Corazon. It was probably the best experience we've had in Bocas. Every single staff member treated us with so much love and care. There was nothing we asked of them that they did not try to accommodate. The ocean view rooms were spectacular for watching the water activity and sunrises. So private too. Everything from the food to the laundry service was impeccable. We will go back!

HORRIBLE FOOD!! Having eaten at most every restaurant in Bocas for dinner, LCC has no competition for ‘how bad could it possibly be’? Most are phenomenal, this time us the worst without compare. Poke bowl looked like cafeteria salad with a piece of the most over cooked piece of dry tuna ever. We emphasized 4 times in Spanish and pointed 4x to their preparation photo asking for Rare. Reordered three times, waited over 1.5 hours for basura . The experience does not justify the prices. Never going back.

We had a great stay at Casa Corazon. Comfortable and ideally located in the center of Bocas. We had a great time there, nice restaurant too. The personnel is really is helpfull and attentive.

No frill local restaurant serving Caribbean style seafood and other comfort food. The seafood entree includes a choice of seafood and two sides. I would recommend the octopus. It's cooked in a flavorful tomato sauce, a bit salty, but goes well with the coconut rice and green salad. I also enjoyed the freshly-made smoothie. Note that a smoothie with one fruit is $3.50 as written in the menu but if you choose to mix two or more fruits, it costs $4.50.

Chopped beef steak with vegetables tasted good, but was very tough. Patacones were good. It should be noted that the restaurant accepts CASH ONLY. We were not told this. A okay place for a quick burger. They have a lot of options here. But the burgers were a little bit dry and didn’t have so much taste. It didn’t taste bad, but it could hav been more juicer and have even more taste.

Not sure why this place has so many low reviews, we went here with a big group and everyone's food was delicious! Typical bocas service, but everyone was really nice and brought us what we needed. I had the vegetarian burger and it was incredible!! Also loved the fries. Will def be back.

Been in bocas for 9 days and have tried a few different restaurants. Went for happy hour and ordered a there classic burger which includes fries....it was sooooo delicious 😋 Best burger in Bocas. The fries were great too. Highly recommend. I will definitely be going back.

If your hungry and looking for a good and filling western meal on the cheap. This is the place with the thicker crust, compared to many Panamano, with great flavor. The price starts at $8-13 but my favorite for years has been margarita pizza. Good price for how filling it is.

Had two pizzas significantly better than any other food so far in Panama. Both taste and presentation 5 stars. Quick friendly service is fairly standard most places....but island life in Panama makes the standard service pretty slow. In addition to great pizza it was served promptly by a friendly guy. Highly suggest you try his grilled onion sauce as well as goat cheese sauce toppings.

Best pizza we have found in Bocas and we've tried 6 or 7 places. Crispy, thin crust, fresh veggies and quality ingredients. Shouldn't be missed.
