1Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk

Nature preserve
The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is a thrilling treetop walk that takes you through the lush rainforest canopy of Mount Tamborine. This 1.5km adventure includes about 300m of steel bridges and a 40m-long cantilever that soars 30m above the creek below, offering a unique perspective on the forest and its inhabitants.
A wonderful walk in the rainforest seeing the rich fauna and wildlife. An easy walk that offers stunning views but also great educational opportunities for the family and students of nature. The reception team were friendly and even on a Sunday afternoon there was good parking. Overall good value and a joy to see how the money spent is well invested in protecting nature. Enjoy the walk…

Walking through a rain forest was a great experience. The signage was good. Some of the ground walk was uneven, so wear suitable walking shoes. Saw one water dragon, heard lots of birds but didn't see any. There was another visitor who was playing a flute while he was walking around, sounded great and fitted into the environment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Walk takes about 40 mins at a nice leisurely pace.
J N — Google review
Took visiting tourists on a lovely outing. A couple who arrived before us was visibly distressed by the movement of the promontory point. It's not enjoyable for people easily distressed by heights or swaying caused by simple foot falls. We didn't spot any wildlife aside from a few water dragons and common birds but the trail is so interesting as it weaves through the layers of the canopy I think it's worth it. We only saw one or two orchids in bloom too so it's probably better when it's not early spring.
Kathryn K — Google review
This place is fantastic ❤️ A small entry fee is totally worth the views to walk along the treetops. Great views all the way to the creek. Totally worth the stop
Monica M — Google review
We loved the skywalk and we appreciate the care that has gone into making it a safe and educational experience. We learned a lot about the rainforests in southern Queensland and saw some amazing landscapes. The butterfly observation point was not as prolific in the spring as it was last summer, but still caught a glimpse of a few birdwings. It's definitely a place you want to check out if you're visiting Tambourine.

What an unforgettable adventure at Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk! My partner and I visited this stunning eco-attraction on a crisp spring morning, and from the moment we arrived at the beautifully maintained entrance in Tamborine Mountain National Park, we were blown away. The 1.5 km elevated walkway meanders through the lush canopy of ancient rainforest, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Gold Coast hinterland, cascading waterfalls, and the distant Pacific Ocean on clear days. We spotted vibrant birdlife—like rainbow lorikeets and whipbirds—fluttering just meters away, and the informative plaques along the path educated us on the unique subtropical flora, including towering strangler figs and rare orchids. The highlight was the 40-meter-high cantilever bridge that sways gently over Cedar Creek, giving a thrilling yet safe adrenaline rush without disturbing the ecosystem below. The entire experience is wheelchair and pram-accessible with smooth boardwalks, and the knowledgeable guides at the start provided fascinating insights into the Gondwana rainforest's 100-million-year history. it's incredible value for a 45-60 minute self-guided walk that feels like stepping into a Jurassic paradise. The on-site café serves delicious local coffee and scones with views of the valley, and the gift shop has eco-friendly souvenirs. Clean facilities, ample parking, and zero crowds mid-week made it perfect. Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is a must-do for nature lovers, families, or anyone seeking serene beauty in Queensland—highly recommend! Very nice place, we love it. We'll be back soon.
Stan — Google review
The skywalk was very good. It was well kept and a lovely walk through the rain forest at different heights and outlooks. The walk was easy and at a leisurely pace it was probably less than an hour. There's a nice gift shop and cafe. Staff were lovely and helpful.
Pamela R — Google review
Short Nature Trail and Skywalk that is privately owned. Good for beginners and those who want to experience walking high up along the top of the trees. Trail should not take more than an hour including all the stops at lookouts and photo taking moments.

Gallery Walk is a charming strip of galleries, cafes, and shops located on Long Road between North Tamborine and Eagle Heights. It's a popular destination for visitors to Mt Tamborine, offering a wide range of artisan candy stores, chic homeware shops, and laid-back restaurants and cafes. With over fifty shops selling unique gifts, knick-knacks, and accessories, it's the perfect place to indulge in some retail therapy.
Great walk with interesting shops. Do go to the clock shop. People are so friendly. Great little town

There are SO many offend places to enjoy along this marvellous street. From bakeries, to restaurants, to gift stores, to artisans, there are many options of places to eat or be inspired. We stayed at a place on this street and didn’t drive anywhere for 4 days. We dined at so many different and interesting places and had the most wonderful time for our 34th wedding anniversary. If you’re here for a day, part of a day, or a few days, you will leave with a smile, a spring in your step and a satisfied belly.

Gallery walk is a great place to catch up with friends and family. There is a new gift store just opened, #littletouchofaustralia, all gifts are handmade by local artists.
Rhonda M — Google review
The hub of the area, busy and busier. Lots of see, some good, some great and some not so much. Something for everyone, but my favourite is the Christmas store. Finding parking can be difficult but you should stop nonetheless and soak in the local vibe.
Marcia B — Google review
What a beautiful walk. Stunning scenery, flowers, shops and restaurants. It was lovely to meander down and check out all the stores with candies, fudge, clothes and food. We were lucky to find a carpark everyday on the weekend we were there , but it does get super busy so may be an issue sometimes.
Ivanka M — Google review
If you appreciate crystals and enjoy the pleasant weather, you'll definitely like this place. It offers great sunset viewing spots nearby, which add to the overall experience. The gallery walk is a delightful option for those who appreciate nature's beauty and crystal enthusiasts alike. The shop owners are very friendly too. Parking is a problem though, there’s a car park at the end of the road but it’s always packed. I usually head up around 2 or 3, lesser crowd. Sunset Recommendations are Rotary Sunset Lookout and Syd Duncan Park Lookout

Nestled in the scenic Tamborine Mountain, the Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens is a captivating destination that showcases an impressive array of both indigenous and exotic plants. Just a short drive from Surfers Paradise, this hidden gem invites visitors to wander through its themed areas, including a serene Japanese garden and lush rainforest. As you stroll along the winding paths, you'll be treated to stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys that beautifully capture the essence of Gold Coast's landscapes.
A must stop on Tambourine!! The gardens are absolutely gorgeous, even when we went in winter. Flowers were blooming, everything was green and lush!! Each themed area in the park was fabulous and kids areas were really maintained. Put this on your list!!

I can’t say enough great things about this garden! There’s a beautiful mix of exotic and native Flora so that there is always something in bloom! My recent Business in spring time caught the wisteria Arbor in full flower while the residents were looking absolutely smashing!

So pretty here. Lovely gardens. Plenty of shade and nice walking tracks. Some bubblers scattered around would be a nice touch for hot days

Beautifully maintained and arranged botanical garden, perfect for an hour or so stroll. Parking busy during public holidays, as expected, park on the street nearby.

Beautiful area with lots to see. Some places are a bit steep to walk up on a hot day, but there are ample areas more easily accessed. Lots of friendly wildlife too! :)

Lovely gardens maintained by local volunteers. Special rainforest area for kids to play and explore in. We stood right next to a resident kookaburra, very cool! Great variety of plants, trees and shrubs, natives and exotics. There is good walking paths and plenty of places to have a picnic. Amenities are at the entrance next to the parking lot.

Curtis Falls, located in Tamborine Mountain, offers a moderate 1.5km circuit suitable for families. The trail descends through rocky paths and bush stairs into a lush rainforest with eucalypts and palms forming the canopy. At the bottom awaits the splendid Curtis Falls, overlooking a beautiful rock pool and stream. The ground can be muddy and slippery in some areas, especially after rainfall.
Beautiful walk and scenery of the Falls. Be warned it's a lil tricky but manageable in some areas of the trail down. Not accessible for wheelchair or walking aids due to stairs in some sections. Parking available at top of hill. No road access. (Google map slightly off at time of review)
Lina S — Google review
Nice place, few pools and waterfalls here. There are picnic spots as well with tables and benches, no BBQ plate, and a toilet block. Good safe and secure walks around waterfalls, alright for age group 5 yrs to 70yr, unless one cannot walk well. No wheelchair access at these tracks. Absolutely spectacular place during or just after a good rain event.
Rinesh R — Google review
Well worth the walk down to the falls. We even spotted some wildlife. Free entry and wasn’t busy when we went. PSA - don’t wear white shoes. I saw many people walking back to their car with very muddy shoes. Recommend hiking shoes and if you don’t want muddy car floor, bring plastic bag and clean shoes to change into. Don’t leave used baby wipes all over the carpark like what others before us did. Absolutely appalling someone did this!
Jo C — Google review
Pleasent easy walk. Well maintained. Lots of small stairs.

Quick awesome walk with alot of animals and interesting plants, butterfly etc. Just go slow and look
Lizard D — Google review
Short and easy trail within beautiful rain forest to reach the fall . We went on public holiday, so it was quite packed.

*Doable hike for kids 3+* Everything FREE. Picnic area with toilets at the start of the trail. Beautiful well-kept trail among those types of Aussie trees that look like they're standing on tip-toes. Easy and quick descent to a beautiful waterfall with some massive hollow logs. Still not sure how those logs got hollow.

The Glow Worm Caves, located in the Gold Coast's stunning hinterland, offer an educational and enchanting experience for visitors. These manmade caves provide a controlled environment where visitors can observe thousands of glowing worms in a replica limestone world complete with stalagmites, stalactites, and water features. The tour includes a short video about the glow worms before venturing into the pitch-black cave to witness these fascinating insects in their natural habitat.
Absolutely loved the glow worm cave. I learnt so much about them. This is a man-made rainforest and a man-made cave which was just amazing. The frog hollow was just an added extra which I also enjoyed. And I love Cedar Creek running through the rainforest and all the random bush turkeys just wandering around. Amazing!!!
Annette M — Google review
Beautiful scenic drive then you arrive and are greeted by friendly staff in a delightful setting. Momo was our guide and she was friendly and full of enthusiasm for her job. She imparted a ton of information in a way that made it interesting. The grounds are well kept and the attached cafe, gift shop and winery are beautifully set up. We purchased some excellent gifts to take away with us. You cannot take photos inside the cave but outside and around the frog breeding areas you can. A great way to spend a few hours.
Sally K — Google review
We visited with my elderly mother to whom wanted to see the butterflies 🦋 to which was not opened as yet and nothing was noted on their website about not been opened. Otherwise the glow-worms was a delightful experience along with the cafe and gardens. Would be nice if you cleaned up the rubbish in the pond and gardens to which the manager walked right past
Jeff J — Google review
Great, informative tour as part of ticket and entry. The glow worms were AMAZING. The cave was full of them glowing brightly. There's also Frog Hollow to see too. All set in lush rainforest on a vineyard estate. There's also a lovely cafe/restaurant and wine tastings. Definitely worth a visit.
Karen L — Google review
Educational and informative guided tour, you will learn a lot about glow worms and see them lining up the man-made cave walls. The centre itself situated at a nice bush area and the garden is lovely. Worthwhile to visit.
Luyu P — Google review
Had a tour with Beau Eastman. It was his first tour but what a bubbly knowledgeable chap. We found out that he was a film maker and has done work for Sir David Attenborough. We had to dig to get that but it was amazing to hear his adventures after the tour. Made the whole tour just that bit more engaging and magical. The glow worm story is pretty cool. It’s like you end up inside the galaxy in space. And the whole place is actually bright from the glow after your eyes adjust. Worth checking out for sure. The frogs and lizards is a bonus.
Hish F — Google review
Tour guide Austin was very informative and made learning about glow worms interesting and fun. Definitely worth $30 to experience.
Christina F — Google review
Little bit pricey. But worth it. The guide was hilarious and informative while allowing a fair amount of off the script audience questions. I attended with my daughters and they absolutely loved it.. there is also a "dark den" with all kinds of amphibians and reptiles which was well maintained and true to pattern, very informative. No guide for the dark den, but a guide was needed in that section. Wonderful experience.

Wineries & Vineyards
Located on Tamborine Mountain in Australia, Witches Falls Winery is a renowned establishment offering wine tasting and cellar door sales of their handcrafted wines. Founded by Jon Heslop, the winery has garnered accolades including a five red star rating from James Halliday. Visitors can enjoy a flight of six wines for just $6 and indulge in picnic experiences among the stunning vineyards.
I will review Boxer Brewery separately. They are on the same location, but both were incredible experiences for different reasons. We had just walked the Witches Falls Loop and were looking for rehydration. Naturally, we typed “winery” into Google and were led here. It proved to be some form of divine intervention… We immediately felt as if what was happening outside the gates could wait. Set on small acreage with two vineyards, this place could be on an other planet - an unhurried, friendly planet. This is a family winery that’s been going about 20 years. There was a wide range of different wines and some very tasty offerings to accompany them. My beautiful wife had a cheeky verdelho and we had Camembert, mixed Mediterranean olives and the most incredible pork. I got a few beers from the brewery next door. All of these embraced each other as though they were long time lovers, sharing this affection with us. The seating outside was comfortable and with the beverages and food I could have spent the day here. The staff were extremely personable, knowledgeable and friendly. The magnificent Julia (not Julia Goolia from “The Wedding Singer”) had the most sunny and attentive attitude. There was a wine club if you’re keen to stock up on the significant options on hand. Sitting next to the vineyard in the cool surrounds of Tamborine was a fabulous experience and the most sensuous bit of serendipity.
Greg N — Google review
This winery is stunning! Lovely views of the vines, incredible selection of ciders, beers and wines. The staff were excellent. Although busy, still were calm, collected and attentive especially the lady in the winery. Beautiful wines and cheese and selection of nibbles to match. The musician was also spectacular and totally added to the vibe. His voice was magic. Very talented! Highly recommend this winery. We loved it.
Natalie K — Google review
1 Star — If I could give zero, I would. I’m sitting here right now wondering how a place like this even calls itself a winery. Let’s start with the basics: our table wasn’t even cleaned. Glasses, plastic cups, and leftover mess from other guests just sitting there — completely ignored. The wine tasting? Absolutely pathetic. The pours were laughably tiny — like they were afraid we’d actually taste the wine. And get this: everything was served in the same glass without even rinsing between pours. Ever heard of cross-flavor contamination? Clearly not. The service was a whole new level of terrible. The waitress (bec) couldn’t be less friendly if she tried. No smile, no effort, nothing. And the person pouring the wine didn’t even bother to say a single word about what we were drinking — just dumped a splash in the glass and walked away like they had somewhere better to be. No water offered, huge gaps between tastings, and an atmosphere that screams “we don’t care.” This was supposed to be a winery experience, but it felt more like punishment. Save your money, your time, and your sanity — there are plenty of other wineries that actually understand hospitality
Felipe P — Google review
We were given complimentary wine tasting here arranged by our hotel and we were so happy we took advantage of it. The staff at Witches Falls were lovely and went out of their way to make it a great experience. We tasted 6 wines of our choosing. The wines were great and we did purchase some to take home. I’d recommend the wine tasting here.
Jenny S — Google review
I did the wine tasting here today and LOVED it. The whole experience felt relaxed but still premium; no rushed feeling, no pressure, just genuinely good wine and lovely staff who explain each pour in a fun, approachable way. You sit outside surrounded by trees, fresh air, beautiful views, and it honestly feels like the perfect Tamborine moment. I tried different styles (reds, whites, and a few experimental ones) and each one had personality; not generic supermarket wine vibes. You can taste the quality. It feels unique and local, not commercial. It’s one of those places where you sit, sip, laugh, and think “why don’t I do this more often?” If you’re on Tamborine Mountain, definitely book the tasting; it’s such a cool way to enjoy the day and it feels like a mini getaway without travelling far. Highly recommend , great wine, great vibe, great staff. 🍷✨

Went to a couple of wineries this weekend and we all enjoyed this one the most. The wines were beautiful and the atmosphere is perfect. Our waiter was excellent and really made us feel at home. Also the boxer brewery next door is great.

We visited Witches Falls Winery on Friday and had an incredible wine tasting experience. We sampled six different wines, each with its own unique character, and loved how the tasting was guided. We also created our own cheese board with a selection of local produce, creamy cheeses, salami, olives, pâté, and house-made relishes, the perfect charcuterie board. A special shoutout to Denzell, who served us on the day. He was so lovely, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable with his warm hospitality. The relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect way to spend the afternoon, and the sun setting over the vines added such a beautiful touch. If you're heading to Mount Tamborine, Witches Falls is a must-visit for a relaxed afternoon of wine, food, and gorgeous surrounds.

Tamborine Mountain Distillery, located on the scenic Tamborine Mountain, is a highly acclaimed and decorated distillery offering an extensive selection of spirits and liqueurs. The venue exudes old-world charm with a touch of whimsy, reminiscent of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Visitors can explore the gingerbread house-style buildings adorned with black and white spades while vintage gardening tools lean against oak barrels.
What an extraordinary experience! It’s no wonder this distillery has won so many awards. The range and quality of their products is incredible. We had 3 tasting paddles, as couldn’t narrow down our choices to try! The flavours of the liqueurs and spirits are so unique and superb we purchased 7 different bottles to take home. Angie’s service was excellent; So friendly, knowledgeable and kind. We went back a second day just to enjoy the surrounds and the ambience of this jewel in mount tambourine (& the cheese platter)! Definitely worth a visit if you’re visiting the Gold Coast.

We visited the Mt Tamborine Distillery today for our 20th anniversary. We don’t drink often but decided to give it a try as we wanted to bring family in Europe some local gifts next year and thought this would be perfect, to combine the anniversary with some tasting for a bit of novelty. And we are so glad we did. The staff were amazing. We especially had a great chat with the gentleman who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a tasting of the herbal liqueur soon after we arrived which was a very nice surprise which we also ended up buying. A lovely complex liqueur. We did the $10 (each) tasting and chose 8 different flavours in total. Firstly all I can say while we had some favourites, they were all very high quality and very smooth! You can see why they have so many awards. There were no bad flavours we tried and there were many many more on the menu to try for future visits. We also had an extra tasting of the orange agave liqueur which really gives Cointreau a run for it’s money. Very tasty and punchy. The place itself is also very charming and welcoming. We left with a bottle of the herbal liqueur and chocolate mint, but will be back every year now on our anniversary to pick up a bottle or two and try some new flavours. It’s such a special place and worth a visit. It was never on our radar prior to this. Thank you for your hospitality today. We had a great visit. Very memorable.

Omg we just loved this place! Gordon was an amazing host, full of knowledge and history about his distillery. We did a craft your own citrus cello masterclass & absolutely had a great time making our own bottle to take home. Sampled some lovely liqueurs, stayed and had a cheese Board with some drinks. Thank you so much Gordon for your time & hospitality! Can’t wait to visit again. You’re a bloody legend 👏

A gorgeous distillery making vodkas gins and Liqueurs. So many to choose from. Tastings of four only cost $10. We also got a cheeseboard which was quite reasonable at $20. It is really quite quirky inside and there’s plenty of places to sit. They also do tours of the distillery. They definitely had some delicious things to choose from.

Myself the wife and 2 of our friends attended the spirit making class and all I can say it’s well worth the money and time , Gordon and his staff made the time go so fast I made a vodka and the wife did a gin . We will be back to do a rum class well worth a visit just for a tasting and if you have the time do the making class

Thunderbird Park is a sprawling 112-hectare tourist destination that offers a variety of activities set in a picturesque natural environment. Visitors can enjoy fossicking for gem-filled thunder eggs, embark on the Tree Top Challenge - Australia's longest and highest adventure ropes course, go horse trail riding, bushwalking, or engage in laser skirmish in an authentic rainforest battlefield. The park also provides accommodation options such as caravans, camping, and bunkhouses.
We just spent a lovely family long weekend here. I highly recommend for all the different activity options. We played mini golf, played with the mini diggers at dig it and fossicked for thundereggs. My 11yo girl and 13 yo boy loved every minute. Free wood and kindling for use in the firepit at our room and free family movie night were lovely touches. Most importantly for a young coeliac, they had Gluten-free options and separate fryer! 🎉 Can't forget to mention ALL the lovely, friendly staff, we did not have a lukewarm interaction with anyone. With special mention going to the lovely Kim who was warm, friendly and welcoming. So many more things to do, we're going to have to come back to do the other activities!

Kids had an absolute ball at the high ropes course. Was a little disappointed that there was no public seating/BBQ areas to have a picnic lunch while waiting. I understand that there is a cafe for people to enjoy but when the cost of the activities is quite high we wanted to do our own lunch. Thankfully there was a grassy patch of grass and we took some gas BBQs of our own. A really relaxed enjoyable afternoon.

Overall the park is great! Beautiful and very peaceful. We went for a work conference here and did the high ropes course, this was very challenging and exciting. The rooms were lovely, just a bit older. The service from the restaurant staff was the only thing I could say needs improvement, it's quite slow and staff are not very friendly, felt like a burden asking for a coffee, which also took very long. Regardless this won't deter me from going again to do the activities or stay.

An amazing park for the family. Not overcrowded and plenty of activities to do. Unfortunately we found all the activities to be quite overpriced though. Bird feeding is NOT what it’s made out to be in pics or by influencers. The young staff at the Jnr Treetops were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend spending the day there (with pockets full).

Chris Arthy: he was absolutely brilliant man. My teams experience was great because of his customer service. He came to us and connected with us. Everyone were great and across was outstanding. Our stay at thunder park was great due to his interaction and services. He mshould be rewarded for his best customer service. Thank you Chris

We did the Tree Top challenge here and had a blast. For us, Lily made the experience. She kept us engaged from when she was instructing us on safety, to encouraging us as we attempted their difficult rope challenges. She was so confident and personable that we were feeling like friends, and were surprised to hear that she had only been there for less than a year. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Stayed a couple of nights in Frog Lodge as part of a wedding group — peaceful, scenic, and beautifully designed up on the hillside near the pickleball court. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was next level! After many average hotel buffets over the years, this one really stood out — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Thank you for an awesome experience!

We went camping and it was really nice , there's a creek to swim but it's not a huge waterhole so may get packed with two families there. Amenities were really nice and close to cam site, very shady. Mini golf was good and was a nice location

Cedar Creek Falls, located in Tamborine Mountain, is a beloved tourist spot offering picturesque walking tracks that lead to spectacular falls, a stunning canyon, and rock pools popular for swimming. The falls can be reached via an easy 500m walk or a moderate 900m walk to the rock pools. This area also offers family adventures with nearby attractions like the TreeTop Challenge adventure park and Thunderbird Park.
Great swimming spot with heaps of pools, water is nice and fresh on a hot day. There's a good pool right at the start of you can't be bothered going down further. Can be busy and there's not much parking at all so be prepared to walk a bit from the main road turn off and park up there instead. Toilets available and picnic tables and a lookout if you don't wanna walk all the way down

Got here at 840am on a Sunday school holiday and found a lot easily - there were only 2 other cars there before me. The last time I came after 11am on a Saturday and it was full all the way out to the main road, so we couldnt do this track! I’m glad I could this time. Super flat and easy walk to the falls which also serve as swimming holes. It was very serene when only a couple people were there. I took 10 min to reach the falls (not the lookout point, the actual waterfall) from the parking lot. When I got back out closer to 9am, the parking lot was already 80% full! Clearly very popular.

After reading a few reviews and seeing we were heading to Mt. Tambourine we decided to make the venture to the falls. And boy are we glad we did. It’s not an easy hike although the stairs and trail are well established and hey, if I can do it so can you. I did end up though sweating up a storm! The falls were beautiful and the pools at the bottom had people swimming and jumping in them. Quite a few people about. The 6 of us rid ourselves of our footwear and went for a wade which was lovely. Well worth the visit.

Good carpark and easy access to view the top of the waterfall. If you'd like to see more, there are rock stairs. Path is easy to navigate and clear of debris.
Natalie H — Google review
A gorgeous piece of forest, the falls are only a short walk from the carpark. Once past the falls, the tracks had little signage unfortunately mkaing it less appealing for a leisurely stroll. I will go back when I have the time to get lost!!

Awesome location, easy walking track (except the last set of stairs near the rockpools). Stunning location with plenty of wildlife.

A beautiful spot. Been there on a Monday, 1,5 hrs before sunset. It was pretty quiet, swimming was outstanding and the view absolutely magnificent.

Short walk, lovely waterfalls enjoyed our time at Cedar Creek Falls. The road the falls are on is dangerous if you're planning to go check it out. Be careful. There is not a lot of room for cars heading in both directions.

Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation is a charming spot nestled in the rainforest, offering a delightful array of breakfast and lunch options such as okonomiyaki pancakes, karaage chicken bowls, and pulled pork benedict. The plantation provides an idyllic setting for a rainforest getaway, where guests can wake up to the melodious tunes of singing birds and bask in the warm sunshine.
HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous venue! Food was amazing, great coffee (the know how to make a magic coffee) beautiful setting, friendly & helpful service. Visiting from Melbourne & taking a drive up to the falls, searching for a good coffee & yummy food. So many cafes & eateries in Google but I'm so glad we got it right!!! This place has it all. Amongst lush green trees, sound of birds in the background & a large seating area in the cafe, indoors & outdoors. The day was perfect for outdoor seating. If I lived locally this venue is beautiful for functions.

Beautiful surroundings with lots of seating options. The food was reasonably priced and it didn’t take long to arrive. Order at the table via the app or you can go to the counter and order. The food was really lovely as was the coffee. They also sell coffee beans and a few other things inside the shop. It was quite cozy with a lovely fire going inside. Plenty of off Street parking. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in the area.

Mount Tamborine Plantation Cafe is a gorgeous spot that absolutely exceeded my expectations! As you enter, you're greeted by a stunning venue that looks perfectly set up for any celebration, big or small. The seating area is absolutely gorgeous and I can only imagine how lively and packed it must be on weekends. I made a quick stop for a coffee, and while the unique flavor wasn't quite what I was expecting, the overall experience was still incredibly enjoyable. The staff members were lovely and welcoming, which made all the difference. Next time I visit, I'll definitely ask to try a different roast, but my brief stop left a lasting positive impression. Whether you're looking for a beautiful spot to relax or a special venue for a celebration, Mount Tamborine Plantation Cafe is a must-visit.

Must try the excellent coffee flight. The Chicken Karaage rice bowl is excellent. Baja eggs benny is good. Pulled pork burger is quite plain with too much mayo.

Popped in for a weekend brunch and could not fault the place. Service was prompt. Food was fast and delicious. Had the Baja Benny which was so good it didn't even need seasoning. The rhubarb crumpets were deliciously sweet not not sickly. We even added some of the pork belly bites and has brown soldiers on the side which were so tasty!! Leftovers to take away with us and had to grab a piece of cake for the road. Coffee is strong. Awesome. Staff were lovely and attentive.

The most amazing breakfast, modern flair. The best hash browns, unique. Flavourful and amazing matcha . Huge seating for groups down the back and shaded.
Vanessa Z — Google review
Food portion sizes have gone down massively and yet prices have gone up. Karage chicken burger is more like a slider burger but for $25.90 chicken was overcooked stringy and chewy, chips were cold and dry. Shame as it’s such a beautiful venue with so much potential if they had a better menu. Will not be coming back..

Definitely recommend before you stop in before mt tambourine! Smaller size mugs so you get a balanced creamy bold coffee and the hash browns/ pork belly options were great without being greasy. Lovely atmosphere outside to suit both individuals or families with young children.

Nestled in the charming Long Road high street just off Tamborine Mountains, Fortitude Brewing Co. is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and tourists. With over a decade of experience, this award-winning craft brewery offers a diverse selection of handcrafted beers, including a robust pale ale, laidback summer ale, crisp lager, and the popular Pacer light ale. Visitors can also take behind-the-scenes brewery tours for an immersive experience.
We had Friday night dinner at the brewery and it was astounding. The tasting paddles are a great way to try what's on offer and the pizzas were phenomenal! I also highly recommend their $20 cocktails, great value for money!

I recently visited this spot again and had a generally pleasant experience, it still has a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. Good spot for families. The cider was delicious and easily one of the standouts of the visit. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The wings were fine - nothing particularly memorable but perfectly acceptable. The loaded chips showed a lot of potential, with a great combination of ingredients and appealing presentation. However, the dish overall was lacking in flavour. The chicken could have used more seasoning, and the pulled pork, needed a more generous portion and a saucier, richer consistency. The only sauce seemed to be a bit of mayo on top, which wasn’t quite enough to bring the whole dish together as it was quite dry. The foundation is definitely there - a few adjustments could elevate the dish significantly. I know from previous visits that the pizzas are really good and maybe we should’ve had one of those.

Plenty of tables & seating. Bar staff were extra helpful & friendly even describing the beers 🍻 and taking a photo at our table for us. Plenty of free parking in out front Car Park. Can order cheeses from next door to have at table. Bonus, it's DOG Friendly. Good selection of Craft beers on tap, unfortunately the XPA I tried & liked was unavailable as a takeaway. I can definitely recommend a visit here, we will certainly come back again 🍻 Cheers ✔️

Went for a late lunch on a Saturday. Lovely staff, option to have food from the pub or platters from the cheese shop, both very good. And plenty of space for the kids to run around. I left my handbag there by mistake and couldn't get it back as I'm not local and the owner very kindly posted it back to us. Amazing customer service, thanks!!

3 hard earned stars for a fair priced squealer refill and tasty beer range by head brewer - 2 stars missing due to the garbage quality pizza under the current management, if you’d like a supermarket style pizza base at Full Price of a gourmet organic one, this is now the spot. $28 waste. Couple years ago had an amazing pizza here - freshly made real cooked pizza oven base, but I guess that is no more. Only mention this because it needs to be told, managers standing around while table salts napkins or cutlery are missing from the tables. sad if it’s just another corporate takeover of a once genuinely good venue.

Visitors can enjoy authentic Polish cuisine at the on-site eatery, which also offers a selection of Polish beers and vodkas.
Nestled in the heart of Tamborine Mountain, This Polish Place holiday chateau experience was nothing short of magical. As we arrived, the chateau greeted us with its charming, rustic architecture, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views of the Gold Coast Hinterland. The air was crisp and fresh, setting the stage for our serene getaway. As we stepped onto our private balcony, we were enveloped by the sounds of nature—the gentle rustle of leaves, the chirping of birds! The water, sourced from a pristine spring nearby, was refreshingly invigorating. As it cascaded over me I cherished every moment to savor its purity; it was incredibly crisp and delicious and it felt like a luxurious treat. (My first time having a shower using spring water ). There is a spa too and a wood fire heater for the chilly days ! With each passing moment, it became our sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation, leaving us with cherished memories ❤️

Tamborine National Park, located in the Gold Coast Hinterland of South-East Queensland, is a stunning natural reserve that offers a variety of landscapes and environments to explore. With rainforests, gorges, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks, the park provides an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in nature. The park features several sections including Cedar Grove, The Knoll, Palm Grove, and Witches Falls.
This is a lovely national park with well maintained trails. The toliets are clean and do flush. There is lots of seating and the grass is well maintained. The views are lovely and the paths are short enough to be enjoyed by many. The paths are very muddy and slippery when wet. Also some steep sections so not suitable for people who need support walking.

A Refreshing Day Trip to Tambourine National Park This past weekend, we embarked on a delightful day trip to Tambourine National Park, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of nature. The fresh mountain air and captivating scenery provided a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. Our exploration revealed a vibrant tapestry of natural beauty. Lush greenery, colorful flora, and the gentle hum of bees created a truly serene atmosphere. We encountered fascinating wildlife, including sticky tree frogs and other friendly creatures, adding to the charm of the experience. The park's captivating creeks, rushing water, and breathtaking vistas provided endless opportunities for wonder and appreciation. To complete this perfect day, we visited a winery, reveling in the picturesque views and verdant landscapes. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to experience this natural haven. Tambourine National Park offers a truly restorative escape for those seeking a connection with the beauty of the outdoors. A separate review detailing our late afternoon culinary experience at the Bearded Dragon Hotel restaurant has been posted.

Some fairly impressive waterfalls and the scenery is pretty spectacular. There are a number of walking trails here which are all fairly easy to navigate if you are reasonably fit. Make sure to bring water and sunscreen. And perhaps try to avoid peak periods as it can become quite crowded especially during schoolies. Well worth a visit!

There are plenty of parking spots outside the park. So parking wouldn't be a problem here. When I came to this park I have no idea what is that. Thought it is beautiful and a long trail for running/walking. Beautiful? Yes, definitely! I was stunned by the view of the waterfall and the valley. Long trail? No, or maybe I didn't explore enough. It is just 30mins walking distance to all the trails. Been trying some off road trail but it's all the dead end. I guess I need to change my hiking shoes to swim suits if I come again next time as this is more to enjoying the ice cold water at the waterfall area.

Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery is a stunning destination nestled atop Mount Tamborine, just a short drive from the Gold Coast. This scenic winery boasts breathtaking views and offers an array of experiences, including a charming cellar door and delightful restaurant. It's also an enchanting wedding venue with multiple ceremony sites, such as a non-denominational sandstone chapel that overlooks the vineyard and a serene lakeside garden arbor.
From the moment we booked our consultation, we walked out knowing this is where we want to have our wedding. Delia toured us around the place and talked us through what was included. She took our requests and built up our vision up until our big day. The communication was amazing - any concerns and we were emailed, contacted and notified immediately. Delia advocated for what we want along the way and was just amazing in every way. The wedding day itself had an unpredictable weather and instead of panicking, Delia assured us that they will do anything and everything to ensure the day is up to our expectations. From the chapel, to the reception everything was done beautifully. Chris and I could not be happier with how everything was. Our guests also could not stop saying how amazing night was. The whole place was picture perfect. Can’t wait to keep reliving one of the most amazing day of our lives by going back here every year. Thank you to Delia, Jade and the rest of the team for giving us such an amazing memory. It was everything we ever wanted and more. Honestly just an amazing team 💕

An absolutely beautiful wedding venue. We got married in the chapel that had the perfect country charm. We then hired the terrace for 3 hours to host our lunch time reception that was a casual catchup after the ceremony. The venue was also perfect for the photos and not having to leave to capture them was a huge bonus. The staff were great in helping us set up and prepare for the big day. With their expertise the day ran smoothly. Thank you.

05.08 25. Had lunch at here today. What a woeful lunch. Nothing like the past (confit of duck, salmon , etc) classy food in the past. Not this time. Meals represented somthing like very poor senior citizens club meals). The stir-fried vegetables were like mixed frozen vetebles- watery and flavourless.the Barramundi was blanched and tasteless. The salad a few pieces of lettuce leaves and no dressing. The lassagna was craggy and tasteless. I thought last time was bad so thought we would give it another go. Sadly it was worse. I only finished the barramundi because I was desperately hungry. The wait staff was good however they didn't bother to ask if we enjoyed lunch - clearly they knew what the answer would be. Never again. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time or money. Plenty of other good places on the mountain.

We went yesterday for the wine tasting and had an amazing personalised experience. The person serving us let each person decide their own wine to taste with no complains and was incredibly knowledgeable. We appreciated his service and time which made it very unique. Only thing I would comment to change is, perhaps better seating for when having the wine tasting / outdoor perhaps, although we did like to stand after being seated all day 😊 Thank you so much and we would definitely love to come back !

Thank you, Jade and Delia. It was amazing to work with both of you. From day one, everything was so well coordinated. You were always prompt with email replies and did your best to accommodate all our requests. We had to make several changes to the food menu, and each time, everything was handled efficiently and without delay. On the wedding day, the entire process was smooth and stress free. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Jade and Delia took care of coordinating both our guests and suppliers. It was such an incredible evening, and as the bride, I was able to simply enjoy the moment. Thank you so much! A small recommendation for improvement: Since we had chosen a wide selection of wines, it would have been helpful to display a list of the available options included in the package. Many of our guests weren’t aware of the full selection we had organised.

We had our wedding ceremony at this venue Nov. Overall venue wedding service is very supportive, quick reponse via email and phone. Wedding food package tastes great for all three courses, the food materials are quite fresh. Wines choices are plenty, cedar red is excellent, we bought a few bottles back home as well. The venue environment is pleasant during Oct-Nov for photo shots. If the wedding come across rain, the venue has covered deck. If you need the guest to come up this place, it is better to use exit 57 on M1, this path is way much easier than the primary GPS suggestion.

Witches Falls walking track is located in the Witches Falls section, Queensland's first national park. The main trail, Witches Falls Circuit, spans 3 km with a moderate grade and takes hikers through diverse landscapes including closed-in forests, rainforests with cycad groves, seasonal lagoons, strangler figs, and palm groves leading to the falls.
About a 3.5km round loop walk. Down the hill through woodland and then into a flatter area of palm forest. Lots of forest birds. Waterfall is a nice lookout spot. Take proper shoes as it is quite damp and muddy with some potential for leeches. Overall it's well worth the stroll

The waterfall wasn't great. Trees are overgrown and blocking it. The lagoon was completely dry, and it looked like it had been for some time. The trees are stunning, and our children were excited to find leaves in the shape of hearts. The walk was a peaceful, beautiful place.
Sarah M — Google review
The walk around wasn't to bad. But not for the faint of heart. The track is not wheelchair friendly. There are rocks and tree roots in the middle of the path. The waterfall was very small only because of the lack of rain, which was a shame. But some of the views are good. The track starts easy but near the end is hard. Some wildlife around as well. The path is narrow in parts as well.
Ruth M — Google review
It was a beautiful solo walk with my music playing lightly in my headphones so I could still hear nature around me. It has lovely running waterfall and creeks, birds, and little scurrying animals in the underbrush.
Jessica W — Google review
TLDR - falls are not worth the effort. This whole track is a loop, so you can start either from the left (clockwise) or right (counterclockwise). I did the latter. This pathway starts easy, but becomes rockier as you go down. Quite a number of rocky steps down - some little ones were doing it carefully. I almost rolled my ankle multiple times on the way down. You will eventually reach a point where you have to choose to go left (complete the rest of the circuit) or right (to the Witches Falls lookout and Witches Chase Track) - I went right. You gotta watch for the sign for the falls lookout point - if you only focus on walking without reading the information boards you will miss it (I explain where this is in my photos because I almost missed it). The falls were the most disappointing thing I’ve ever seen. Just a trickle. Only later did I find out this is a ‘seasonal fall’ so you see nothing if the weather is dry. The effort it took to get to this point is not worth it, in my opinion. You can choose to go on to complete Witches Chase, which is an out-and-back route, or turn back and complete the Witches Falls Circuit. I turned back and the other way back to the carpark was easier, but also a narrow, constant gentle slope up nearing to the end. I had to stop to give way to people coming down the other side. I didn’t particularly enjoy this track. If the falls were magnificent and if the view was stunning I might still recommend it, but they weren’t.

Cauldron Distillery is a renowned gin producer located in Tamborine Mountain. The distillery has gained recognition for its craft gins, winning numerous awards. Visitors can enjoy gin paddles featuring Cauldron's core range gins paired with tonic or soda. Additionally, the distillery offers gin blending classes as part of the Eat Local Month program.
We had such a lovely time visiting Cauldron over the weekend. We ordered the gin paddle and shared a charcuterie board filled with delicious local produce. I highly recommend trying the truffle and fennel salami – it was hands down the best we’ve ever had. We spent the afternoon soaking up the warm sun, and the property looked absolutely stunning during golden hour. We had a great chat with one of the owners, Greg, and found out that their liquor license covers the entire estate, so you're welcome to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy wine anywhere on the grounds. You can wander through the vines and simply enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with friends or family. There was live music playing, which added a beautiful touch to the afternoon. The food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible, the service was quick, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

We took part in the gin blending class and it was fantastic. It’s hard to imagine it can work out so well in the end, but the guidance and support was incredible. And you get to take away your own blend!!! . An afternoon in the beautiful sun following, with great food too, what more can you ask for?

What a find. I have never tried gin before, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Enjoyed a selection of their gin’s and had a pizza for lunch. Will definitely be back for another Christmas gin or two.

We discovered Cauldron only a year ago and now we buy all our gin there. We would visit at least once or twice a month to sit in the sun and enjoy a few drinks, really awesome activities and games to play to keep the kids occupied. Great service, delicious gin and food, even better to support our local economy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Sunday Spot! If you’re visiting the Mount Tamborine area, The Cauldron Distillery is a must! We went on a Sunday and it was the perfect “Sunday Session” vibe – relaxed, great atmosphere and just the right level of live music to create a lovely background ambiance without taking over. The cocktail menu is incredible and the pizzas were absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend popping in for a chilled afternoon – you won’t regret it!

What a great place. Food was great and our gin tasting paddle was delivered with excellent knowledge of the product. Very down to earth atmosphere and we look forward to coming back with family and friends soon. (Loved our parting conversation with one of the owners, would love to share a drink on our return)

Market
Tamborine Mountain Country Markets are a must-visit, especially on the second Sunday of each month. The markets offer an array of fresh produce, plants, collectables, arts and crafts. You can indulge in delicious treats like knackwurst with mustard and poffertjes (Dutch pancakes). The market is set in a small showground with limited parking but offers a wide variety of stalls featuring handmade and home-made products.
Great little country markets but get here early if you want baked goods or homemade jams etc we arrived around 11am & most stalls fully sold out. Also Lions sausages all gone, other good food options still available. We found this to be common most cafes/ sold out hours before actual closing time. And must prebook tables for dinner at most places.

Excellent Market every second Sunday of the month where many Arts, Crafts, Produce, and food stalls meet to offer goods in the idyllic setting of the showgrounds. Set among the towering Eucalyptus trees with the recently restored old pavilion as the central hub and the adjacent sport oval. Several musicians and buskers create a festival like vibe in the mountain air. Plenty of parking, facilities and open space to roam the delights the market has to offer. If your looking for a day out in the mountain time it on the second Sunday of the month and visit this gem 💎

This market is one of my favourite markets in South East QLD. Lots of awesome market stalls with so many talented creative people. The Bearded Dragon Hotel beer garden and the countryside bring all the charm and there are so many unique items on display. Can't wait to get my Christmas shopping sorted this year. Parking is easy too. If you want to stay and hangout to enjoy the vibe, maybe book a table in advance with the Bearded Dragon Hotel.

Great monthly markets, plenty of variety of stalls, local produce and live music. Wonderful family venue.
Wayne T — Google review
We had a wonderful time enjoying the market. The cool mountain breeze lifted the heat from the stifling day, and some vendors even had fans to keep us cool. We are visiting from NZ so could not buy from the many plant stores, but we did from almost everybody else. The quality of art, craftsmanship, and food products is as good, or better than, any other market I have been to, anywhere in the world. There were many different accents and nationalities and the true community spirit that small-town Australia is know for, was refreshing to see. If you are on holiday in the Gold Coast or surrounds, make sure you come to this market for all your gifts.

14/4/23. The country markets are held in the showground on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Compared to other showgrounds sizes this one is only tiny looks like a big oval. Getting close car congestion is a problem. There is limited parking on the site and plenty of parking along the main road if you are prepared to walk. What fantastic markets. Everything we saw was hand or home made no mass produced Asian products here. A great selection of stands selling doggy products, honey, plants, jewellery, pottery, jams and chutneys, oils and balsamic vinegars, sweets, nuts, clothing and food stalls that’s what I can remember. In the gazebo stage there is a singer performing where you can sit and enjoy while having a break. What I really like was able to try all and I mean all the homemade products for sale. Nothing worse than buying something without trying it and finding out you don’t like it. So like this we spent a small fortune on nuts, honey, relishes. (Pics show some of what we purchased, we ate the rest) Oh but boy are they good. Also purchased a set of hand made red salt and pepper barrels made of rose mahogany $59 with ceramic grinders not plastic. This lady sold beautiful wooden products. There is a Green Shed where locally grown organic produce is sold but we walked there too late and there was almost nothing left. These markets are definitely worth a visit and really shouldn’t be missed. We loved them!

The Green Shed. Open every Sunday from 7am-1pm, the freshest produce, picked that morning. From Freshly baked breads, Vegetables, Fruits, Jams, Raw honey from local Beekerpers. Get in early and say G'day to a local Framer.

Great selection of stalls. The plant prices were by far the best value. Loved the chocolate milkshake from 1 stall and the bacon and egg roll from another stall was great too. Friendly people all around.

Wonderful! Today we went for a leisurely drive up to Tambourine Mountain. Our goal, go to the school mountain markets, buy mum some lavender gifts, buy some fresh Avocado's, a custard apple, fresh honey, eat dutch pancakes for a snack and have a browse around. We were so Impressed! We lined up outside the entrance. Scanned our id pic, given face masks, sanitiser. Few people in at a time, all spaced 1.5m apart. Line moved quickly. So impressed. Loveliest markets. Beautiful stalls, lovely lavender gifts, gorgeous smelling soaps, handmade leather goods, oil burners, home made cakes, plants, herbs, clothes, trinkets, English toy cars, CDs and so much more. We didnt find any honey sadly, we asked but no one had any. Maybe wrong season, no custard apples either, maybe wrong season, no fruit n vegies at all not even one avocado for sale. These were only things lacking, we looked but had lots of other things to buy. We had some great dutch pancakes..quick and delicious, yummiest. We left after an hour and soon saw many road side stalls with Avocados. Pesticide free, cheap and lots available. So we bought lots. To go down off the mountain we chose to go back via the back gentle road via Canungra. (Henry Roberts way down scares me with its steepness so I go the gentle way down off the mountain). Fabulous day out, markets were the best. Well organised, lots of covid safe steps taken to the extreme which made us all feel safe and appreciated the organisers efforts. Next time you take a drive to Tambourine try to coincide it with the dates of these markets! You will have a wonderful day 💐 🙏

Hang Glider Launch and Lookout, situated along the Main Western Road in Tamborine Mountain, is a popular spot offering uninterrupted views and serving as a launch site for energetic hang gliders. Visitors can enjoy picnics while watching the festivities or witness an amazing sunset from the plateau. The lookout provides a serene atmosphere with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding scenery, making it perfect for nature enthusiasts and hang glider enthusiasts alike.
Being a picnic and a blanket and jumper and sit at one of the most beautiful spots for a sunset! It’s stunning seen proposals to artist in their element to families with dog and the takeaway pizza boxes to girl dinner. Beautiful spot.

Pulled up not expecting much on a Sunday but I was pleasantly surprised by the location and North Tamborine as a whole. The location was packed and we arrived whilst a large contingent of paragliders were launching. The view was hazy due to the fires at springbrook but I will definitely be paying another visit to the area.
Carlos N — Google review
We were incredibly lucky to witness the most breathtaking sunset ,a true masterpiece of nature. The sky was full of amazing colours. It was a perfect moment
Mahesh G — Google review
Not a hang glider in sight, but still a top spot. The view is absolutely cooked - in the best way. You can see for miles. Great place to pretend you’ve got your life together while taking deep, reflective breaths and ignoring your unread emails. Bit windy though, so if you’ve got a fringe, it’s now gone. Bring a jacket unless you enjoy being personally attacked by the breeze. No shops, no toilets, just vibes, nature, and your thoughts slowly getting louder. Perfect spot for a sneaky picnic, a deep convo, or just sitting there like a majestic mountain goat staring into the abyss. 5 stars for the view, minus 1 for the lack of snacks… but I gave it back because the sky looked pretty. Would recommend if you like peace, quiet, and pretending you’re in a tourism ad🤭😂

Nestled in the north-west of North Tamborine, The Knoll section is a delightful destination for nature lovers and families alike. With its inviting picnic area equipped with BBQ facilities, tables, and benches, it’s perfect for enjoying a meal surrounded by lush greenery. Kids can frolic on the expansive grassy spaces while adults take in breathtaking views from the lookout that showcases Flinders Peak, Mount Perry, Birnam Range, and Yarrabilba.
This is one of my favourite forest walks on Tamborine because it combines the beautiful experience of being in the forest with a waterfall and spectacular wide views to the north. It also has good tracks and is not a difficult walk, although there are a few stone steps here and there. Half the walk has mottled sunlight streaming though, so it's not a dark walk. There's a lookout halfway into the walk, near the waterfall, as well as a lookout at the top of the carpark, near a picnic area.

Cant see too much of Cameron falls from the viewing point. But the walk itself was pretty nice and you get to walk right over the waterfall too. Has picnic spots and bathrooms where you first arrive, along with a nice lookout!
Caity — Google review
A great look out spot on Tamborine Mountain in the middle of a great forest. It’s shady so the warm sun does not get into your face and it’s also a quiet little area. The tall trees in the forest makes it a photo worthy spot. Try venturing a little into the trees and there will be a path to a track. A must go spot when visiting Tamborine Mountain.
Beverly - — Google review
Well maintained like any other national park in QLD. Ample seating for picnic spots and a lookout close to the main entrance. The waterfall at the end of the trail ain't spectacular so that's a bit of a let down. But it's nature's work so no complaining 😁.

Personally, I won't be back to do this walk again. The view of the falls was blocked by trees and there wasn't alot of wild life apart from all the mosquitoes!

The Palm Grove Circuit in Mount Tamborine offers a tranquil 2.6km return walk through lush rainforest, featuring towering palm trees, gum trees, and hoop pines. Along the way, hikers can admire a fallen strangler tree and giant trees. The Curtis Falls Circuit is another popular option, offering a moderate grade 1.5km return walk through majestic eucalypts and towering palms.
Beautiful quiet tracks. I guess not as popular as other Tamborine trails because there's no water but what a delight! You can come back through the back streets which gives you an opportunity to discover and admire lovely gardens and plants galore.

Pademelon gold mine here, seen least 10. At one stage there was 5 on the walking track. They seem to spot hikers before you spot them and take off, although they stop to watch in curiosity. The standard walk was 60 minutes, will try the extended walk next time.

It has taken me some time to find the right words for not only the gorgeous venue that is Tea and Niceties but the food and the incredible staff as well. The grounds are immaculate, with many nooks to escape to for a romantic moment. The amazing entrance to this gorgeous place is simply breath taking! The food is fantastic! Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! There is a choice for everyone! We had a few dietary requirements and the staff made sure everyone had a tasty meal! The staff …. What can I say, Sandy and her team really went above and beyond all m expectations? We were faced with weather challenges on the day and Sandy took the time to make sure everything was just right for us! Nothing we asked was too much! We gave her a few vague ideas and she turned them into a fairy tale, fairy god mother has nothing on this lady! She was there for us through every step of our planning, checking in to make sure we had thought of all the fine details that made out day so spectacular! Stopped in here this morning after going to the markets. It was such a beautiful experience. My mother, grandmother and I had the Devonshire tea, which was delicious and some tasty petites. I tried the fairy tale tea and it was delightful, I’ll definitely be ordering that again. The service was very attentive and professional. We spoke to the owner and she was just lovely and was so informative of all the different teas and pastries they make in house, you could tell she was passionate about the business she runs. I can’t wait to come back to your beautiful business and have a high tea. Thank you for a lovely morning. 🫖💕

Came here as part of a hens weekend. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish - the table settings were beautiful, and the atmosphere is just what we were looking for from a high tea. The staff were very friendly and polite, as well as discreet. The food was excellent (and plentiful - we ended up taking a lot home!) and the gluten free option was just as good as the regular. The range of teas meant there was something for everyone, and the little sugar cubes with a flower on the top were the icing on the cake. The perfect finishing touch was the adorable gift bags they gave away for Mothers Day. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Great location, the high tea was lovely. The lady really looked after us. Also worth a trip into the garden which is really nice. The only thing I would say is the place could have been a little cleaner as our glasses had stains on and a few other minor details. Other than that I would have given 5 stars.
Stacey B — Google review
The most welcoming environment, from the beautiful, attentive and helpful staff to the amazing chef in the kitchen a big thankyou for such a wonderful experience. Enjoying a dirty chai and scone and then devouring a beef burger. A peaceful oasis in which I now have to go home to burn all that delicious food off. I'll be back for sure!
Amanda — Google review
Pretty disappointed when we came to eat here. The ordering service was less than ideal, the young gentleman was struggling to find where menu items were, this is fine he must’ve been a trainee. From here we ended up waiting 40 minutes for one meal! As you can see in the photo it wasn’t very busy. There were about 5 seated tables. There were also 6 front counter staff! I then watched as our barramundi made its way around the whole “restaurant” as they had no idea where the food was going. We saw this happen with multiple meals! The food is decent but the customer service is off. A place like this would benefit from ordering off a QR code with set table numbers to eliminate the need for a staff person taking orders and can spend their time perhaps getting trained in the kitchen to speed up the service.

Great walk, we did it first thing in the morning just after sunrise being the first to walk the trail was quite something I could not believe how many spiderwebs crossed the trails...With nobody else around the forest sounds incredible. I highly recommend this walk if you take your time and stop you could easily spend 2 hours there.

Beautiful adventure into the rainforest - definitely a worthwhile visit. The road to Mt Tamborine was not for those who suffer from motion sickness. The roads were incredibly sharp and windy. The cafe serves coffee and light snacks. The experience itself was short, but magical. We managed to go when it began to rain, which made the experience more beautiful!

Really nice and relaxing walk amongst the treetops. Whilst I enjoyed it, I just felt like it was missing something and because it was still under construction I thought that $20pp was a little steep for what you get. I would definitely recommend the walk its just that I have been to many walks like this and they are free including (Kings Park, Perth WA). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the walk but maybe a nice Cafe and some animals/better vantage points. 4 🌟

The Curtis Falls walking track is a great place to go for a little bushwalk, with steps leading down to the falls and beautiful views of trees and the creek below. The track is accessible from the car park and takes around 15 minutes to walk to the falls.
First time being here and it was a nice relaxing experience. My little one enjoyed it a lot and the waterfall was very nice though fenced off due to Tamborine Mountain being a glow worm conservation ground. The track is not too difficult for casual hikers. Was fortunate to see a Scrub Turkey as well! A nice day out for the family and causal hikers alike.
BadulaJohnson — Google review
Nice trek. I enjoyed the walk more than the Curtis Falls itself. We could hear birds, we spotted a Wallaby, and the trees are majestic. As for the Curtis Falls, the flow of water was less abundant. I wonder if’s that’s due to the period of the year that we visited (October). Bear in mind that there are stairs and the trail is uneven (roots and rocks on the way), but it’s nothing intimidating. We had my mum (60+) and our 8-year-old with us, and the whole trek (go and back) took us roughly 1 hour.

Such a beautiful walk! Great for the family. It was so handy that there was a little shop next door. I was able to get myself and my kids cold drinks and ice creams. The owners said they will be open every weekend and school holidays.

Absolutely loved my hike at Curtis Falls Walking Track! The trail was well-maintained and offered a perfect mix of lush rainforest, beautiful scenery, and the soothing sound of the waterfall at the end. The air felt fresh and rejuvenating, and the walk itself was enjoyable challenging enough to feel like a good workout but still accessible for most fitness levels. Spotting the waterfall was a highlight, and the tranquil spot was perfect for photos and relaxing. I highly recommend this walk to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and unwind

A beautiful east walk amongst the rainforest to a beautiful waterfall. I'm not the fittest person but managed this walk fairly well. The steps are quite deep, so that took a bit out of me, but manageable. It's hard to believe that a beautiful waterfall is so close to the road, just not seen.
Donna W — Google review
Good for a casual walk, not challenging, but has stairs, some large rock crossings and tree trunks in the way. If you add in the Lower creek circuit track, it makes for a good exercise circuit without being to strenuous. Fantastic serene track with natural rainforest scenery, good outing for all the family. To keep the enthusiasm up with teens or even family members that are struggling fitness wise, add a game in with "Best and most creative" photograph.

Lovely environment. The forest was beautiful and full of wildlife. The walk was pretty easy but not suitable for people with mobility issues. Otherwise I 100% recommend a visit.
Niamh S — Google review
Curtis Falls Walking Track was beautiful after the rain. 🌿 The 2-hour walk had muddy sections and some fallen trees from earlier extreme weather, but still fine to enjoy. It’s cooler inside the rainforest, so bring an extra layer. Wear sturdy shoes, go after rain for the best atmosphere, and watch out for slippery spots. Fresh air and lush scenery made it worth it!

If you're visiting Tamborine, a stop at Rotary Lookout is a must. This formal lookout offers stunning sunset views of the Scenic Rim and is perfect for a pre-dinner picnic or quick photo op. The northernmost of two lookouts, it provides limited parking but boasts incredible vistas across the plains. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the western lowlands and distant hills, making it an ideal spot for watching sunsets.
One of my favourites moments during my time in Mount Tamborine and on my Gold Coast trip. Definitely worth driving 45 minutes from the Gold Coast. Definitely will be returning on my next trip, and many more trips to come.

What a view on a clear day. Easy to pull off road. Great spot for a picnic or quick stop.
Maggie G — Google review
Mega cool lookout with an absolutely stunning view at sunset. No matter what time of year it is, the sunset will be visible on the vast horizon west of this lookout. It's clear of trees where the sun sets as well. Slightly small but with three benches and bins it's one of the better equipped lookouts at Mount Tamborine. Plenty of parking and on a slip road too so very safe. 10/10 would recommend this lookout. An absolute hidden gem of Tamborine and I would say it is the superior alternative to the massive hang glider hill lookout just down the road.

The modern Lan Spa is designed with sleek architecture and contemporary treatment rooms that include soaking tubs and private relaxation booths, ensuring guests feel rejuvenated as soon as they arrive.
My husband and I returned here 6 years after spending our wedding weekend here. The place is lovely and cosy, has everything you need and is in a great location. It’s about 100 metres from the St Bernard pub, so you can walk there, have dinner and it also has a takeaway bottle shop which is handy. The highlight by far though was my 2 hour bliss massage with Jess and let me tell you, it well and truly lived up to its name. Jess gave me the best massage I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few all over the world. It was absolutely divine. She did my feet, my legs, arms, neck, head, and back. I would even consider travelling back up from Brisbane for one of Jess’ massages.

We had a beautiful stay here last weekend, the owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Comfiest bed ever and the rooms were so lovely and private with high ceilings, big bath & fireplace. I had a massage at the spa with Hayley and it was one of the best massages I've ever had! Location is perfect with the St Bernard hotel 2 minutes walk away, a stunning spot to have a drink or food overlooking the beautiful views. Will definitely come back again! Thank you 🙏😊

Stayed there for 5 days in early September 2025 villa 4 , bathroom had mold on roof , bathroom fan didn't work, shower head fell off while having a shower, bathroom toilet holder and soap holder in shower also fell off. 😳.. fan in main area didn't work, fire place was lifted at top and released smoke, Was many cockarockes on walls also stood on one though the night going to the toilet was very unpleasant. TV keeped cutting in and out. Some lights didn't work. Back wooden screen got court on rug and glass door was hard to open and got court full scrapping and makes a terrible noise evey time u opened it. Also on our last day got woken up by a blower then a power washer before 7am. Besides all that the lady I believed called Bec was so amazing and tryed to help us in evey way possible. Not b worth the money we paid!! Place need a lot of work.... I hope the owner reaches out to me...

I cannot speak highly enough about our experience at Escarpment Retreat & Day Spa or our dealings with Bec who went above and beyond from my initial enquiry with her right through to check out and all the inbetweens. The accomodation and view were breathtaking and they thought of everything from fire lighters to little blankets we could use while sitting outside, they even left us some bubbles to drink and allowed us to drop off our luggage and supplies early and to check out later after our beauty treatments. Most impressive was that while chatting when dropping our luggage off early I mentioned I had forgotted to bring with me some mixers for our drinks later that night, Bec sent me a message later asking if she could pick some mixers up for me so they would be waiting when we arrived back from out wine tour. The coffee plantation just up the road too is excellent for breakfast AND you cannot and shouldnt stay here without experiencing a massage or facial treatment from the salon! All four of us had a treatment and we all came away saying how amazing it was. A wonderfully, perfect girls weekend all round, thank you!

I booked a villa at the Escarpment for my daughter and her husband for the night of their wedding, which was just down the road at St Bernards Hotel on Friday 22nd August 2025. Bec was fantastic to deal with and the room was just perfect and exactly what they wanted. Thank you for making their special day even better. I would highly recommend the Escarpment to anyone visiting beautiful Tamborine Mountain.
Noeleen W — Google review
Our experience at Escarpment was not quite we expected for the money we paid. There was no wifi available in the Villa and you could only watch a dvd. We were given a refund and moved to another Villa where after 24 or so hours the television kept dropping in and out of reception and the water supply stopped. The staff were very quick to fix the water problem. We decided not to have a spa as we weren't sure if the water supply would stop again. The staff were very accomodating with both the changeover of the Villa and the water problem. We have travelled extensively throughout Australia in various accomodation styles and were using our stay here as a treat. It has been a little disappointing for us. Thanks.

Just absolutely stunning! The location, the room, the service... it can't be faulted. If you're looking for a place to unwind in the beauty of nature, then look no further. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Spending $450 for a villa is a complete and utter waste of money when you get stuck next to a group that appears to enjoy speaking incredibly loud for over 6hrs The only way we could drown them out was turn a movie on at max volumes Attempting to sleep after that was a challenge Do yourself a favour, stay elsewhere.

At Australian Outback Opals, visitors can immerse themselves in the mesmerizing world of Australian opals, renowned for their vibrant hues. The establishment offers a diverse selection of opal jewelry and raw stones sourced from the rugged outback. Guests have the opportunity to witness the intricate process of opal cutting and even have custom pieces crafted as keepsakes. Additionally, a visit to this attraction provides insight into the artistry and cultural heritage of the Scenic Rim region.
So happy to find this beautiful Opal shop today had to go in for a look after watching one of our favourite shows opal hunters for years! Such a range of opal jewellery couldn't walk away empty handed with such reasonable prices so purchased a lovely opal/pearl bracelet. The owner warm and welcoming full of knowledge, really enjoyed our short chat . Will definitely be back 🩵💚

Been there during our holidays just with some generell interest. Shop owner told much about the stones and their differences. Offered me some nice older stone if I just want a genuine opal as a better souvenir than the Standard tourist stuff and not interested jewelry. Guess I made a good deal:-)

I stumbled upon this absolute gem of an opal shop as I explored some hikes in the area. The owners are extremely personable and helpful and are full of fascinating knowledge and experience about opals. The selection in the shop is impressive and priced well for the quality. Of the many opal shops I’ve visited in Australia, this is definitely one of the best. Highly recommended!

I went in today to have a look around/ browse, the owners were so welcoming, warm and friendly; and happy to have a chat and answer any questions; they are such an amazing, knowledgeable family business. I bought a beautiful spoon with a boulder opal for my partner. We will definitely be back again soon!! Thank you so much!

What a gem of a place (pun intended 😜). Darren and Brandon we so friendly and helpful, giving us a quick lesson on all the different types of opals and settings, while taking the time to connect with us and our story. Highly recommend this spot over the more mainstream alternatives. You just don't get better!
Dru M — Google review
I walked into this shop not intending to purchase anything—I just wanted to have a look. But I had no idea I loved opals so much until I stepped inside. I couldn’t go past the beautiful black opals on display… absolutely unreal. I knew I couldn’t walk out without them. The earrings I chose are the most stunning I’ve ever seen. The black opals from Lightning Ridge have the most vibrant depth and colour, and the little diamond adds the perfect sparkle. Set in 18k gold, they’re elegant, timeless, and I wear them every day. I’m completely in love. The customer service was outstanding—so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about opals. I learned so much about the different types and how these incredible colours form. The whole experience was special from start to finish. Plus, the prices were reasonable considering opals aren’t cheap—especially pieces of this quality. I feel like I got something truly special at a great value. Thank you for such a beautiful piece and an unforgettable experience!
Michelle S — Google review
Called into Australian Outback Opals for a sticky beak over the weekend. Walked in chasing some gemstone knowledge and left with a polished opal triplet and 2 new mates. The blokes behind the bar were experts in their fields and offered the best customer service which included a live tutorial on how to make an old, opal ring look brand new again. Overall 10/10 experience, only downside is now I have to take the misses back there and buy her something…

The Palm Grove Section in Mt Tamborine offers a tranquil walking trail through a lush forest filled with towering trees and diverse wildlife, including birds and marsupials. This section features two walks: the 2.7km Palm Grove circuit and the Jenyns circuit, both graded as level 4 tracks. Named after the piccabeen palm that thrives here, this area also provides picnic tables for visitors to enjoy.
Nice and easy walk through subtropical rainforest, not too hot even in summer due to the area being shaded as well as wet and cool. Great amount of amazing flora and fauna. Many palm trees, hence the name, as well as ancient fig trees, staghorns, ferns and moss just to name a few. There are also small streams which you can see from the track. The tracks are easy to follow with signs and markers at intersections. There is little elevation gain so it is not steep. At certain points, there are also large gaps and breaks in the vegetation where you can see out east to the Gold Coast and the Pacific Ocean. The car park is a little small though, with only 3 or so slots, though you can park on the surrounding streets.
Ryan P — Google review
Very peaceful rainforest walk. We really enjoyed the atmosphere whilst listening to the different Birdlife & spotting pademelons. The circuit does appear to require some maintenance. We climbed over a big fallen tree across the path near the end. Planks of wood were placed instead of a bridge in one spot but we went to the left of it. Palm leaves were falling from quite a height today making us very alert! Take extra care walking across the muddy areas and rocky path at times. Water is flowing nicely in sections. Shaded and a nice temperature this Autumn morning. Remember the bug spray. Parking for Palm Grove Circuit has a small carpark to start from with information board. No dogs or bikes permitted.
Ash — Google review
As a lone walker I was quiet enough to see alot of red-necked pademelons without them getting scared allowing them to carry on eatting while i watched. Track was easy, signage a little confusing. Limited car parking. Popular walk.
A. J — Google review
Really stunning walk, was a bit muddy due to some rain a few days ago, but nothing too crazy. A few sections of the track are a bit damaged and require you to go around, but well worth going to
Brett D — Google review
We had a great experience made even more memorable by a torrential downpour that descended on us about half way around the longest loop. Sorry no pictures of the rain as I was trying to preserve our electronics that were in my unprotected backpack. We spent an hour walking on slippery rocks and a messy track. When the rain came down the leeches emerged. We did not realize the leeches were attaching to our legs until we were almost back to our car. By then we had dozens to deal with. After some blood letting we did survive. The memories we have will be priceless when in old age we are sitting in our rocking chairs.
Steve C — Google review
Such a stunning walk. It's easy, boggy in sections after rain, peaceful and totally serene.
J B — Google review
Great views but the proximity to the road and houses kills the atmosphere. When I was there I could hear people with leaf blowers, motorbikes, etc... Not exactly the sounds of a rain forest.

The prices are reasonable, allowing guests to explore the astonishing variety without breaking the bank.
Came in with my girlfriend earlier today and had an absolutely amazing time. Alex, the gentleman behind the bar, was easily one of the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever been served by. He made a few great drink recommendations and made great conversation with us while I sampled different drinks. As someone who works in customer service myself, I can really appreciate his attitude and knowledge, especially considering he's only been there for a few months. Give him a raise! Drinks are really nice and the store has a great variety of creative mixes. The ability to sample everything there is also really helpful to decide what to buy. In the end we left with 6 of their (very cheap but lovely) $10 wines and a sample pack of liquers. Overall, 10/10 service and very much looking forward to polishing off some of these bottles tonight! Will definitely be coming back. :)

Bought a bottle of Tawny to share with my partner as we like to buy from every place we visit. Absolutely vile taste, how anyone could taste that and have the balls to bottle it is beyond me. We have had ports from many distilleries and this novelty brand is an insult to drinks everywhere. Save your money and keep walking. Tipped the lot down the sink after 2 sips each.

This small museum is only open on a Sunday, 10am till 3. It's not worth going out of your way to visit but it's worth a look in if you're passing. Run and developed by volunteers the museum showcases life in the Tamborine area. Most of the buildings are original and have been moved to and re-erected on site. Amongst others there is a school, milking parlour, shop, agricultural store, blacksmiths and homestead but all are small. Our visited lasted over an hour but others with children were round the site in 15 minutes. Entrance fees are minimal. There is no cafe on site.

Such a wonderful Heritage centre. Extremely well presented and diverse in its well detailed displays. It has a huge array of varying insights into the colonial past of the mountain. It's the best $5 I have spent in a very long time. Highly recommend.

Here is a great collection of memorabilia from the past Some of which has direct connection to the mountains past. Other items have been donated by people connected with the early pioneers . There’s a real spirit of adventure captured by those trailblazer community Some would not be popular in today outlook as they simply came to chop down the giant trees for timber The museum s exhibit s are a bit tired and many items are in a worn state needing tender care. It needs to be said this is completely a labour of love for the volunteers who keep the place open albeit just Sunday s 10 am to 3 pm I think it’s a wonderful effort to keep our past before us

The park also provides BBQ facilities, making it an ideal spot for families to unwind and spend quality time together.
A beautiful view north to the big city, as well as a view to the mountains in the northwest. Picnic area with one covered table in case of rain. A tranquil walk of 3km return where you can go all the way to the waterfall or only walk part of it... still a beautiful walk in the rainforest.

Told us about a street of shops/cafes in Eagle Heights to view and we had lunch with the dog. The eatery was great for pooches. A bowl for him before we even managed to sit down. The lady was very knowledgeable and nothing was too hard for her. Also had nice rest area outside and toilets. A great place to spend the day sightseeing.

Nice little information center. Lots of brochures and I formation was available for the area as well as maps of the local streets. The lady at the desk was very helpful with all of our questions and she was very courteous. My only complaint is that the center itself could be modernized and laid out better that it was.

Dropped past on our day trip and received good advice. The lady working in the office was fantastic and pointed us in the right direction with plenty of recommendations. Also told us which falls were flowing and which were closed off so it saved us plenty of time!

Manitsky Park offers a picturesque expanse of lush, expansive greenery encompassed by towering eucalyptus trees. This serene setting seamlessly transitions into a rejuvenated woodland, which adjoins a protected national park. It is an idyllic location to unwind and find solace amidst nature's beauty. The park itself is truly splendid, providing visitors with ample space to wander and appreciate the tranquility it affords.
Beautiful big grassy area surrounded by massive gum trees that leads into regenerated rainforest bordering national park.

Park
Dj Smith Memorial Park may be modest in size when it comes to playground equipment, but it strikes a perfect balance between fun and location. Understanding that kids often have short attention spans, this park offers a delightful mix of swings, slides, and climbing structures to keep them entertained. What truly sets Dj Smith Memorial Park apart is its fantastic proximity to the vibrant Coolangatta area and the stunning southern beaches.
