Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular Australian wildlife adventure located on over 25 hectares of natural eucalypt and rainforest. The sanctuary offers a chance to interact with native birds, marsupials, and reptiles, including hand-feeding wild lorikeets and kangaroos. Visitors can also walk a wombat, meet a dingo, or cuddle a koala.
The most amazing place, a must visit if you are in the area. We travelled from surfers paradise, easy to get to from broadbeach on the 700 bus which stops closeby to the sanctuary. The place is very well kept and spacious and so much to explore, paid $50 per ticket as there was an offer on the official website (usually $70). So many beautiful animals to see and the staff were great, telling us about the animals and went out of their way to take us to find a baby kangaroo as I asked if there were any around. Had the best day here 🐨
Bethan R — Google review
We had such a wonderful time at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary! The lorikeet feeding was absolutely amazing such a joyful and colourful experience. The free flight bird show was another highlight it was incredible to watch these beautiful birds soar gracefully above the audience and see them up close. We also had the chance to see and take photos with a python, kangaroo and koala up close was both exciting and memorable. The wildlife talks were engaging and informative, and the Aboriginal culture show was beautifully presented and full of meaning. The only downside was the limited vegan food options at the cafés, so it would be great to see a bit more variety in the future. Overall, a fantastic place to visit for all ages educational, fun, and full of opportunities to connect with nature and animals up close!
Sanjula — Google review
Great place for a visit when in the area. Beautiful grounds and habitat for the well cared for animals. Lots of work to do with conservation comes from here they deserve a lot of credit. Mini trains to cart you around once you have had enough walking. Cafe food was fairly good. Staff were all friendly and seemed like they really enjoy what they do. Lots of different activities can be arranged if you visit , up close and personal with different animals can be organised. Highly recommend coming here.
Albany Y — Google review
Fabulous experience as always here. This was my third time visiting the sanctuary with some of our friends visiting from Europe. With so much to see and do here I suggest newcomers set aside roughly 5 hours to see everything the park has on offer. From visiting the reptile enclosure, to patting the kangaroos and getting up close with the koalas. There's something for everyone here. The day is well planned out on the map with several key shows in the afternoon including the wild bird display, aboriginal performance group & finishing up with lorikeet feeding right before closing time. Right now parking is also free across the road. Highly recommend to everyone ❤️
Tomi M — Google review
Tickets were expensive but worth it for the NFP and animals. The animals were well cared for and their enclosures were spacious. Happy to see all animals have access to a no people/viewing area. The free bird show was breathtaking. Only wish there were more trains/directions of said train, more drink refill stations, and clearer signage.
Alex Q — Google review
Great place. Loved the wild lizards. The bird show was wonderful. The train was a highlight. Feeding the lorikeets was also a favourite. I have to thank the staff who helped tremendously when my autistic son had a meltdown and put himself in danger. They were exceptional, compassionate and understanding. While we had to leave abruptly because he wasn't coping, we left feeling like it was a wonderful experience and we definitely would come back.
Frances S — Google review
An amazing wildlife sanctuary. Super friendly staff, loved the lorikeets and kangaroos. You’re allowed to feed both and pet the kangaroos! Had an echidna encounter with a very informative staff member, it was awesome. So much to see and do here. Recommend to anyone who’s coming to see the Gold Coast. Buy tickets before and show up 30 minutes early (8:30am) for the lorikeet feeding, make sure to put in a donation for their efforts and all the animals!
Brodie B — Google review
Perfect place for families with young kids. Lots of activities including shows, animals, play equipment, even a miniature train Ryde through the park. Id recommend bringing your own food if you want something other than the typical fried food and icecream.

Dreamworld is a massive amusement complex on the Gold Coast, offering a wide range of attractions and activities. It boasts the biggest and most thrilling rides in Australia, as well as a wildlife sanctuary and even the Big Brother House. With over 30 rides catering to all ages and preferences, there's something for everyone here. Visitors can enjoy experiences like Tiger Island, where majestic White Tigers roam freely, or catch some waves at Flow Rider.
Loved our trip to Dreamworld. The rides were fantastic. The way the park was layed out was excellent. Really enjoyed the animal section and the tiger tunnel that goes above your head it was really fantastic. My son loved going on his first roller coaster ride here. I can't wait to come back and visit again. Highly recommend this amazing park to everyone. The staff were superb friendly as well.

Family day to Dreamworld and White Water World. Lines were ok, not the busiest time of the year to go. Was still warm. More airflow/fans/cooling Required for ride lines. Clean amenities. Good/drink lines were average wait times in busy time slots. We didn’t eat food there only Drinks in refillable cups. White Water World is great for a Cool off after a busy day on the rides and walking around.
Jazmin B — Google review
Dreamworld is a solid theme park with a good mix of rides and attractions. Nothing particularly mind-blowing, but definitely an enjoyable day out. The major rides are fun and well-run, and there’s enough variety to keep everyone entertained. Staff were friendly and the park was clean and easy to navigate. Overall, a good experience and worth visiting, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed theme park day with a few standout rides.

Amazing experience. We hired a mobility scooter for my mum to get around and it was the best because she could go on some rides that had disability access and still use the train. So much for the children to do. And so much variety. My daughter also did her first big roller coaster. It was the steel taipan, The attendant was amazing and let us go in the front and was extreamly reassuring when she was nervous. So an amazing first experience.

Just wow, What a wonderful experience. 🙏🏻❤️ My partner and I had such a blast. We are travellers from Victoria so not a big venture but one of all the same, I’ve been dreaming of coming here since I was a kid and the dream finally came true. A beautiful dream it was and a beautiful time we had! Through out the whole day we ventured through almost everything! We will be back!!! Given the fact that we messed around a lot it was still jam packed with so much. From the steel taipan roller coaster which was completely jaw dropping and left us shaking, to the wild life area where we tip toed around the massive crocodiles and beautiful birds. It’s funny as we walked around I was tranced on the fact that I could imagine how much I would have loved it there when I was younger. There’s a variety of different activities for all different ages and everything is so welcoming. I’ll be sure to bring little ones along with us next time to share this experience. The foods quick and easy, the price of goods is fair with the way the economy is today as well. As for wait times, there weren’t really any? But, when there was I can’t complain about it as it paid off and was well worth waiting. Thank you dream world 🙏🏻❤️we loved every second of being here!

It's been several years since my last visit, no issues with rides being under maintenance, however, we just seemed to get bored quickly and didn't spend the full day. Still good for little kids. I just remember there being more to do in the past for teens/adults and maybe that's why the queues were long, even in off peak. Glad we got heavily discounted tix. New restaurant was good. Despite all this, was a less frustrating experience than Movieworld (where almost everything was experiencing technical issues at least once or twice through the day).
Shane — Google review
I feel so lucky that I jumped on the amazing Locals annual pass deal! My daughter and I love all the offerings at Dreamworld. After spending 2 season passes at Village, everything is so refreshing at Dreamworld, and it's all conveniently in (essentially) one park!
Nadezhda K — Google review
I visited Dreamworld today for my birthday and it couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate! I went on the Giant Drop, Steel Taipan, Jungle Rush and Serpent Slayer every ride was amazing. The staff were fantastic and made the whole experience feel really fun, welcoming and safe. Such an incredible birthday outing with awesome rides and great vibes all day.

Warner Bros. Movie World is a film-themed amusement park that offers an exhilarating experience for visitors of all ages. The park features thrilling rides, including the DC Rivals HyperCoaster, as well as live stunt shows such as the Hollywood Stunt Driver show. Families can meet their favorite characters from movies and cartoons, with opportunities to interact with superheroes and stars during daily parades.
Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast is a place that instantly brings out your inner child. From the nostalgic charm of classics like The Wizard of Oz to the thrill of seeing DC superheroes come to life, it’s an adventure that blends excitement, fun, and imagination all in one. The park is full of energy, with plenty to explore, and every corner feels like stepping into a scene from a movie. The roller coasters are the highlight for thrill-seekers. Some of the rides feature heart-stopping vertical drops, high-speed twists, and spins that leave you breathless and exhilarated. The Joker’s coaster, in particular, is an unforgettable adrenaline rush — easily one of the best rides if you love pure thrills. It’s the kind of ride that makes you want to go back just for another round. Beyond the rides, the park has plenty of charm and souvenirs worth taking home. My wife picked up a beautiful charm bracelet featuring beloved characters, and it’s one of those keepsakes that captures the magic of the visit perfectly. For those planning a trip, the 5-day pass is highly recommended. It gives access to other attractions like Sea World and Wet’n’Wild, allowing you to take your time and enjoy multiple adventures. Overall, the experience is simply magical — a perfect mix of childhood nostalgia and high-octane fun. 🎢✨
Kasun G — Google review
It’s Movie World, what more can I say. Well… for those wishing to read on… it’s a brilliant place. To get my only major ‘knock’ out of the way, it’s the lines. They’re a pain in the …., especially when you have young kids waiting. But hey, it’s Movie World. Several rides were closed which was a shame so helpful tip - download the App before attending and it’ll tell you which rides are offline and what each rides wait time is. Very handy. We took our own food to save some $$$ however from what we saw it was reasonably priced. Sincehaving attending in previous years, the overall place does seem to have lost a little of its vibe. Not as many people / characters dressed up, some shops and displays closed, and the usually fantastic street parade was a little lacklustre compared to other times we’ve seen it. With that all said, overall, awesome day out!
Corrie B — Google review
We had a fantastic day at Movie World! The rides were exciting and so much fun absolutely loved DC roller coaster 🎢 . The Hollywood Stunt Driver show was an absolute highlight, full of energy and impressive action. The character parade added a nice touch to the experience too. The only downside was the limited vegan and vegetarian food options, which made it a bit hard to find suitable meals during the day. Hopefully, they’ll add more variety in the future. Overall, it’s a great day out filled with fun rides, shows, and entertainment!
Sanjula — Google review
Had a great time there. Apparently trips are shorter if to Movieworld if you live in Surfer Paradise. Didnt have to wait at all or have parking issue because we were there in November 1 week before schoolies (22nd). The staffs there are amazing - always putting a smile on their faces for the kids and tourist. Great Job!.
Maurice L — Google review
Must visit if you are in Gold Coast. There are rides for every age. Driving school is my kids favourite. We were there during non-school holidays. Even that, the waiting times for the popular rides were averagely around 30mins. Can't imagine how it would be during the school holidays. Maybe it's worth getting the fast track pass at $121 to speed things up. But be aware, you can only use it ONCE per ride. At least you get to decide which ride you wanna spend time queueing up again for a second round. I don't think you can possibly finish trying all the rides in a day without the fast pass. It can get really sunny during the queueing up. If you don't wanna get sunburn or tanned, prepare some UV protection - UV parka etc. Wild West Falls Adventure Ride should be improved to have shelves for riders to keep their bulky belonging prior to the ride. We were required to carry everything along. I was so worried that my belongings would fly out from my handbag! The most thrilling ride is the DC Rivals. Seriously the best rollercoaster ride I've ever had! Green lantern is awesome too. We had a blast! Thanks for the fun!
Amber M — Google review
Great place to visit for the day, lots of cool wee shops and store fronts. Plenty of Easter eggs with different movies and comics. The rides were awesome, DC Rivals was a fav (biggest roller coaster in the southern hemisphere!). The new Wizard of Oz wicked witch ride and Wild West ride was also pretty cool. Heaps to do there, just be prepared for wait times, constantly check the app to see wait times. Get in early for your favourite rides.
Brodie B — Google review
Fantastic day out. Facilities and assistance for people with disabilities is excellent. Make sure to go to guest services for all the information. The parade was a bit disappointing. Needs more glitz, glamor and more excitement. It was very short. Overall, our family had a wonderful time.
Caren R — Google review
I went here yesterday with my daughter and her partner. We had a really good time on the rides we went on. It was a bit unfortunate to have some rides not working. Because with less rides means more people on the others, so longer waiting in lines to get on. The food and drinks were excellent, a lot to choose from. The street parade was nice at the end. I thoroughly recommend going here, you won't be disappointed.

Located on the 77th and 78th levels of the Q1 building, SkyPoint Observation Deck offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Gold Coast and its hinterland. As Australia's only beachside observation deck, it stands at a remarkable height of 230 meters. Visitors can take in the stunning scenery through high-power binoculars and visual displays that highlight key points of interest in the region.
My family and I went on a weekday morning. There’s an option to enjoy the buffet breakfast with the view – we didn’t do it, but we still really enjoyed the whole experience. I recommend buying tickets online before you go. On the official website it’s $33 per person, but I found them through a sponsored Google Maps link for only $21 per person. The view is amazing! On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there’s a whale-watching counter set up between around 11 am and 1 pm (until the end of October). Staff even lend you binoculars so you can try spotting whales from the SkyPoint. Definitely worth it if you’re visiting the Gold Coast!
Hoi L — Google review
Our recent family excursion to Sky Point provided an exceptional experience. The panoramic vistas from the 77th floor were truly awe-inspiring, and we were pleased to discover that the coffee and food prices were surprisingly reasonable. Contrary to our initial expectations, the cost was comparable to that of a standard restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. The breathtaking scenery, coupled with the rapid elevator service, contributed to a memorable and gratifying experience. We anticipate revisiting Sky Point on our next trip.
Lee — Google review
SkyPoint was absolutely worth visiting! The 360° views of the coastline, city, and hinterland are stunning — especially around sunset. It’s such a great spot to take photos and really appreciate how beautiful the Gold Coast is. There’s also a nice café and bar at the top, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the view a bit longer. The staff were friendly, and the elevator ride up was super fast. Highly recommend adding this to your Gold Coast itinerary!
Maitri P — Google review
SkyPoint is a must-visit attraction, Especially if you’re chasing those magical sunset views over the Gold Coast. The timing of your visit makes a big difference, as the crowds tend to build up in the late afternoon leading into sunset. When we arrived at around 4:30pm on a weekday, it was already quite busy, with plenty of visitors waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon and capture that perfect photo. 📷 One thing worth noting is that seating can be a bit of a challenge. The seats near the windows are in high demand, as everyone wants the best vantage point for both the views and the experience. It works on a first come, first served basis, so if you want a prime spot, it’s best to arrive earlier than you think you need to. Many people settle in with drinks and snacks and simply enjoy the atmosphere while waiting for the main event — the sunset. 🌇 Despite the crowds, the overall vibe was enjoyable. The bar staff were reliable, friendly, and handled the rush smoothly, which made the experience more relaxed. We also tried the SkyPoint signature cocktail, which is highly recommended if you’re visiting. 🍹 The combination of stunning views, refreshing drinks, and a lively yet comfortable setting made our visit memorable
Kasun G — Google review
We visited SkyPoint and went up to the 77th floor — the view of the Gold Coast was absolutely beautiful! It was an interesting and enjoyable experience. There’s also a restaurant and bar where you can have drinks while enjoying the view. Overall, a great experience.

Our experience at the SkyPoint Observation Deck was truly wonderful, even though our visit took an unexpected turn. Just five minutes into our meal, we faced a sudden family emergency that left us distressed and unsure of what to do. Nicole was absolutely incredible. Her calm, caring, and attentive support made all the difference during a very frightening moment. She went above and beyond to help us, ensuring we had everything we needed and offering comfort when we needed it most. Despite the circumstances, we are deeply grateful for the kindness shown to us. The service, the atmosphere, and especially Nicole’s compassion made a difficult situation a little easier to navigate. Thank you so much, Nicole, and thank you SkyPoint for having such wonderful staff. We truly appreciate it. 🙏💛

Nature & Parks
Springbrook National Park is a vast expanse of natural beauty, offering visitors an immersive experience in the Queensland hinterland. Spanning over 20 square miles, this park is a haven for hikers and nature enthusiasts, boasting lush rainforests, serene walking tracks, and well-equipped campsites. The park's highlights include the stunning Natural Bridge and the majestic Purling Brook Falls, a breathtaking 100-meter waterfall that leaves an indelible impression on all who behold it.
Springbrook National Park is absolutely breathtaking! The lush rainforest, stunning waterfalls like Purling Brook Falls, and incredible views from lookouts such as Best of All Lookout make it a must-visit. The walking tracks are well maintained and suit all fitness levels. It’s a peaceful escape into nature and perfect for a day trip. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Queensland!
Sharon G — Google review
I’ve lived on Springbrook Mountain for over four years, and I can honestly say there’s nowhere else like it. Every day feels like a postcard — misty mornings, fresh air, waterfalls, ancient trees, and views that stretch all the way to the coast. It’s peaceful, quiet, and deeply connected to nature. You don’t just visit Springbrook — it slows you down, grounds you, and makes you appreciate the small things. Whether it’s the roar of Purling Brook Falls after rain, the stillness of the forest trails, or the golden light at Best of All Lookout, it’s pure magic. As a local, I still find new pockets of beauty all the time. If you’re visiting, take your time. Respect the land, the wildlife, and the locals who help preserve it. This mountain is a treasure.
Ben S — Google review
Springbrook National Park is absolutely breathtaking — one of the most beautiful rainforest areas I’ve visited in Queensland. The views from the lookouts are incredible, especially on a clear day when you can see all the way to the coast. The Natural Bridge is a must-see, and the walks around Twin Falls and Purling Brook Falls are stunning, with waterfalls, ferns, and ancient trees everywhere. The cool mountain air and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect escape from the city. Highly recommend taking your time here — every track is worth exploring.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience and a truly wonderful time. The drive to this place is a bit adventurous, but it's well worth the effort. There are numerous scenic lookout points along the way, each offering breathtaking views. The trek to Twin Falls is an absolute must—an unforgettable highlight of the trip!

Really cool spot to get out in nature and do some hiking. Recommend if you’re looking to get some beautiful scenery, be immersed in nature & see some Aussie wildlife!

Springbrook National Park packs an astonishing mix of rainforest, waterfalls, and ancient geology into a compact stretch of the Gondwana highlands. The drive up is an experience in itself, climbing narrow switchbacks that swap coastal suburbs for clouds of mist and towering Antarctic beech trees. Stop at the first lookout and the Gold Coast skyline sits like a glittering bookmark far below, framed by rolling green hills. Walking tracks branch out in every direction, each with its own reward. Twin Falls Circuit threads behind two curtains of water, giving you that cinematic moment when sunlight slants through the spray. The Best of All Lookout lives up to its name with a sweeping vista all the way to Byron Bay on a clear day, and interpretive signs point out volcanic craters now softened by forest. For something shorter, the trail to the Natural Bridge leads into a cool cave where glow-worms light the ceiling after dusk and a creek dives through a neat hole in the rock. Facilities are simple but sufficient. Car parks at major trailheads have clean toilets, picnic tables, and clear maps that outline distances and difficulty grades. Mobile reception fades quickly off the ridge so downloading an offline map helps, and the plateau’s weather changes without warning, making a rain jacket smart even in midsummer. Food options are limited once you leave the highway; packing lunch lets you linger wherever you find the best bird calls. Whether you are after a family-friendly boardwalk, a half-day waterfall circuit, or just a chance to stand above the clouds for a moment, Springbrook delivers scenery that feels both primeval and unexpectedly close to the coast.

Great 2 hours trecking inside the National Park and two hours back to start point car park. There is a small look out track which you can finish in an hour if you want to finish quick.

Sea World is an oceanographic theme park that offers a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. Guests can watch polar bears at Polar Bear Shores, observe tropical fish and sharks in the world's largest man-made shark lagoon, and even touch rays at Ray Reef. The park also features entertaining seal presentations and live dolphin shows.
I had an amazing time with the kids, watching their faces light up as they saw dolphins perform for the first time. My kids were full of excitement exploring the penguin exhibit and learning about marine life in a fun, hands-on way. The kids were thrilled to interact so closely with the animals. The rides and shows kept everyone engaged, creating a perfect mix of adventure and education. It was a joyful and memorable day, filled with laughter, learning, and shared moments of wonder by the sea.

We had a really good time at Sea World! The park is clean, well maintained, and easy to get around. The seal and dolphin shows were definitely the highlight entertaining, informative, and beautifully done. It was lovely to see how well the animals are cared for. The only downside was the food options there were very limited vegan and vegetarian choices, which made it a bit tricky to find something suitable for lunch. Hopefully, they can expand their plant-based menu in the future. Overall, a great experience for families and anyone who enjoys marine life and fun shows!

Spent the day at SeaWorld recently, and enjoyed it. Liked all the shows, especially the dolphin one! Was grateful that they had a proper sit-down restaurant that served health food. My husband and I both had the bowl each. which was as delicious as it was nutritious 😋 We were disappointed with the water ski show though. Gone were the impressive multi-acrobatic moves. All we saw this time was a show between two rival gangs and some boring stunts. We also did the helicopter ride. The 10 minute deal is the best in my opinion. The pilot was very informative; he doubled up as the tour guide Overall SeaWorld was a great experience 😃

Had the best time at Sea World! Every ride was so much fun and well worth the wait. Loved the dolphin shows they were amazing! The place was clean, well-organized, and perfect for all ages. Truly one of the best theme parks I’ve been to. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the Gold Coast!

Sea World is truly one of our favourite family destinations on the Gold Coast! We had an unforgettable day filled with fun, learning, and amazing marine life encounters. The dolphin and seal presentations were absolutely incredible, such talented animals and dedicated trainers! The park is beautifully maintained, clean, and easy to get around. There’s a great mix of attractions for both kids and adults — from the exciting rides to the relaxing lagoon areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone felt welcome and safe. It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories with the family. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Love it there. So many things to try although some places are not open. Like Atlantis ride and Donatello ride. I have to say, baby Penguins are the cutest around haha. When you get to lunch watch out for Seagulls. Yes!.. theyll snatch your food in a instant There are sharks too, they did a wonderful job in conservation as well. Hate to say it but I got on Bikini bottom rides - Patrick the starfish, School bus because to me that is the safest ride. Have a peak at your theme park pass app they will tell you exactly the time for each performance. It does make you trip there memorable.

Sea World on the Gold Coast is a fantastic destination for families with kids. It’s incredibly family-friendly, and there’s something fun for everyone. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole park feels safe and well-managed. The dolphin show and stunt performances were absolutely unforgettable – both entertaining and impressive! Every attraction we tried was fun and engaging, from the animal exhibits to the rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the day with your family. Highly recommended!

We went to 3 parks across 3 days. Movie World, Wet n Wild and then Sea World. 2 Adults, a 7 year old and 2.5 year old. We loved them all, but Sea World was the most enjoyable for all of us. There was much more for our 2.5 year old to be involved in. A few rides you can go on as a family. And also we could enjoy all the shows together. Definitely do not miss out on the dolphin, seal and water stunt shows. They are world class.

It boasts a lush, subtropical-temperate zone with diverse plant and animal life, including rare species. The park features ancient Antarctic beech trees, picturesque waterfalls, mountain pools, vibrant wildflowers, and over 160 native bird species.

Lamington National Park in Queensland, Australia, is a breathtaking destination that showcases the country’s rich biodiversity and stunning natural beauty. Part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area, the park features lush subtropical rainforests, ancient trees, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic mountain views. Visitors can explore over 160 kilometers of walking tracks, including the famous Border Track, which connects Lamington’s Green Mountains and Binna Burra sections. The park is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with more than 200 bird species, including the striking Albert’s lyrebird and the rare Regent bowerbird. Beyond its ecological wonders, Lamington National Park offers a sense of tranquility and adventure that appeals to both casual visitors and experienced hikers. The cool mountain air, moss-covered rocks, and sounds of native birds create an immersive experience that feels worlds away from nearby city life. Accommodations like O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat provide comfortable stays with breathtaking views and opportunities for guided eco-tours, canopy walks, and glow worm experiences. Whether you’re seeking peaceful reflection or a challenging hike through ancient landscapes, Lamington National Park delivers a truly unforgettable encounter with Australia’s natural heritage.

Beautiful area for a walk. Took the Dave’s creek walk which took around 4 hours, great views and scenery. Was very muddy because of rain so be prepared according to the weather.. If you have time while on the Gold Coast definitely take the time to come up to the mountains!
Noah J — Google review
Lamington National Park feels like stepping into an enormous greenhouse powered by waterfalls. The moment you leave the car behind at either Binna Burra or O’Reilly’s the air shifts to cool and damp, scented with leaf litter and the faint sweetness of orchids clinging to beech trunks. Vines loop between strangler figs, pademelons graze beside the trail without concern and every few minutes a whipbird call ricochets through the canopy. The walking tracks cater for all moods. Border Track is the park’s backbone, a soft, fern-lined corridor that links the two main trailheads, while detours like the Toolona Creek circuit reward sturdier legs with a procession of cascades spilling over mossy ledges. Suspension bridges on the Tree Top Walk lift you into the mid-storey where you can look eye to eye with fruit doves and spot glow-in-the-dark fungi on fallen logs. Even short strolls such as the Centenary Track reveal lamington blue crayfish scuttling over wet stone after rain. Facilities are low-key but thoughtful. Trail maps at car parks are clear, water refill points sit near the main visitor centres and picnic areas come with barbecues that stay surprisingly clean given the daily traffic. Mobile signal is patchy once you drop into the gullies so download an offline map, and pack a light jacket even in summer because mist moves in fast. If you stay overnight, the campground fire pits make a perfect end to the day as sugar gliders dart overhead. For anyone chasing ancient rainforest, reliable wildlife encounters and a network of tracks that can fill a single hour or an entire long weekend, Lamington delivers in spades.

Lamington National Park – A Must-Visit Gem near Brisbane Just a two-hour drive (around 160 kilometers) from Brisbane lies the spectacular Lamington National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage–listed wonderland of towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush subtropical rainforest. The journey itself is scenic, winding through narrow forested roads that gradually open up to breathtaking views of valleys and peaks. Once inside, you’ll find walking tracks that range from gentle strolls to long adventurous hikes, each surrounded by the sights and sounds of untouched wilderness. The waterfalls, hidden within the dense greenery, provide picture-perfect stops along the way. Morning is the best time to visit, when the air is fresh and cool — all you need is a pair of light, comfortable shoes to explore the trails with ease. What makes the experience magical is the wildlife. Colorful native birds often perch on your arms or even your head, especially if you offer them food at the designated feeding areas. Their friendly presence adds a fairytale-like charm to the park. Lamington National Park is more than just a natural reserve — it is a sanctuary of peace and wonder, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of Australia’s unique landscape. For anyone visiting Brisbane, this is truly a must-go destination.

Pacific Fair – The Gold Coast’s Olympics of Shopping Pacific Fair is basically a glamorous maze designed to separate me from my money — and honestly, I’m not even mad about it. The place is HUGE. You go in for “one quick thing” and suddenly it’s three hours later, you’ve made emotional connections with five shop assistants, and you’re carrying bags like you’re in a rom-com montage. The vibes? Immaculate. The layout? Gorgeous. The shops? Dangerous. There’s literally something for everyone — from boujee stores that make you question your bank balance to snack stops that keep you going like you’re on a shopping marathon. Whether you’re browsing, splurging, or just pretending you’re rich for the afternoon, Pac Fair delivers. 10/10 would get lost in here again.

Nature & Parks
Surfers Paradise Beach is a legendary surfing spot located on the Gold Coast, offering a beautiful sandy beach against the backdrop of a vibrant city with entertainment and shops. While it may not offer the best surfing conditions compared to other nearby alternatives, its proximity to main attractions, theme parks, accommodations, nightlife, and entertainment make it incredibly popular and crowded year-round. The beach's convenient location near numerous restaurants, shopping outlets, and resorts compensates for its lack of big waves.
This place is truly one of those spots you could visit every day and never get tired of. There are so many great places to eat nearby, and just walking around the area is a visual delight. As someone who loves watching sunsets, I honestly think this spot offers one of the best views. The waves and the sky look different every single day — it is the perfect place to soak in the beauty of nature. There are so many great photo spots, and it is also a place where you could just sit for hours and enjoy the view. The long stretch of smooth pavement along the beach makes it ideal for roller skating, which I personally love. There are also clean showers and restrooms placed at regular intervals, which makes it even more convenient. If you ever visit the Gold Coast, this is definitely a must-see destination!
Happy Z — Google review
Golden sand, rolling waves, and a skyline that makes every selfie look premium. This is the Gold Coast’s iconic playground — sunrise chills, daytime surf, and nighttime buzz all in one strip. It does get busy (like, festival-crowded on weekends), but that’s part of the energy. Stick between the flags, grab a coffee, and enjoy that perfect mix of beach life + city vibe.
Ruchit P — Google review
Surfers Paradise Beach continues to live up to its name — a true slice of coastal beauty that still shines, even after the recent tsunami event. We visited just a few weeks ago, curious (and slightly concerned) about how the beach would be, but honestly, it’s holding its charm and energy better than expected. The beach is clean, wide, and absolutely stunning. Golden sands stretch endlessly, and the turquoise-blue waves are as inviting as ever. Lifeguards are stationed frequently along the shore, which gives a good sense of safety for families and tourists alike. Despite the natural event that hit earlier in the year, the beach has bounced back impressively — there’s a sense of resilience and calm that’s comforting to see. The vibe is still alive and well. Surfers are out catching waves, kids are building sandcastles, and couples are strolling along the shore at sunset. That warm, buzzing atmosphere that makes Surfers Paradise so iconic hasn’t faded. Locals and visitors have returned, and it feels like a beautiful community coming back to life. We noticed some parts of the beach that still show signs of the tsunami’s impact — slightly reshaped sand dunes and fewer seating spots in some areas — but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The city has done a great job keeping it maintained and welcoming. What we loved most was the accessibility. You’re steps away from cafes, shops, and restaurants, so it’s easy to grab a drink or bite and head right back to the water. Sunrise and sunset walks are magical here, especially with the skyline rising just behind you. Nature can test even the most iconic places, but Surfers Paradise Beach has held its ground with grace. It’s still one of the most beautiful and enjoyable beaches in Australia — peaceful, vibrant, and deeply refreshing. Whether you’re here to swim, surf, or simply soak up the sun, this beach remains a must-visit. It’s a symbol of strength and beauty that continues to welcome all with open arms.
Siddhartha M — Google review
“Surfers Paradise Beach is absolutely stunning and a must-visit on the Gold Coast. The golden sand stretches for miles, always clean and well maintained, with plenty of space whether you want to swim, walk, or just relax in the sun. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming or surfing, with lifeguards on duty and flagged areas for safety. The location is unbeatable – right next to Cavill Ave, so you’re only a short walk to shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are great facilities nearby including showers, toilets, and shaded areas, and it’s beautiful both day and night. Sunrise and sunset here are incredible, and the vibe is always welcoming, whether it’s families, tourists, or locals enjoying the coast. Perfect for a beach day, a morning jog, or just sitting back and taking in the view. Definitely one of the highlights of the Gold Coast.

Surfers Paradise is a must-visit destination when you're exploring the Gold Coast, just a short drive from Brisbane. The journey itself is a treat, with coastal roads offering stunning views of the ocean and long stretches of golden sand. Once you arrive, the vibrant atmosphere of Surfers Paradise welcomes you with its mix of beachside charm and urban energy. The area is packed with cafés, restaurants, boutique shops, and hotels, all nestled along the ocean-facing commercial district. The beach itself is iconic—clear blue waters, soft golden sands, and a skyline that blends nature with modern architecture. Whether you're sipping a coffee by the shore, taking a leisurely stroll along the esplanade, or diving into the waves, the experience is both relaxing and invigorating. It’s a place where you can unwind or dive into adventure, depending on your mood. If you're planning a visit, it's best to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat and crowds. The beach is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, offering perfect lighting for photos and a peaceful ambiance. Be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes, especially if you plan to explore beyond the beach. There are plenty of dining options, from casual beachfront cafés to upscale restaurants, many with stunning ocean views. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially during weekends and holidays. There are several paid parking facilities nearby, such as Bruce Bishop Car Park and Cypress Avenue Car Park, which are both centrally located and within walking distance of the beach. Street parking is available but limited, so it’s important to check signage for time restrictions and fees. Using parking apps like EasyPark or PayStay can help you find available spots and manage payments more easily. Surfers Paradise offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and lively culture, making it an ideal spot for beach lovers, families, and anyone looking to enjoy the best of the Gold Coast.

I love traveling, but I think this was the most beautiful sea I’ve seen so far. It was so transparent, clean, and blue—and not too deep, so everyone could enjoy it. I don’t know how to swim, but it was perfect just to dip my feet in. The sand was sooo soft, you wouldn’t even want to wear shoes.

Australian Outback Spectacular is a captivating bush-themed dinner show set in a high-tech arena that offers an immersive experience into the heartland of Australia. The show follows the story of struggling farmers Reg and Marge, showcasing the challenges and resilience of outback life. Guests are treated to a three-course meal supporting local farmers while being entertained by horseback riding, cattle mustering, music, and impressive special effects.
The dinner performance was wonderful! Our family of eight thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Before the show started, there was live music and drinks available for purchase. Once the show began, we were served a three-course meal—the highlight for me was the warm apple pie, absolutely delicious! We also appreciated the free refills of wine and soft drinks throughout the night. The waitstaff were friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. We even got to keep the souvenir hat, which was a lovely touch!

Buying ticket is advance is highly recommended as you get to pick your preferred seat. The dinner was so spectacular. Beyond my expectations especially the apple pie 🥧 😋. The show? It was fantastic. Would really love to see the Aboriginal community showcase in real life instead of on the huge screen. I get to learn outback Aussie communities and their lives as a farmer. My mother was a farmer back in my island. The struggle resonated with me in many ways. I wish a better life for our community globally

TLDR: Food was above average, show was decently entertaining, and service was excellent Food: Overall 8/10 The food had an entree, main, and dessert. The entree was a feta tart with chutney, which was paired well together. 8/10 The main had an option of steak and chicken and pumpkin green beans and mashed potatoes for sides. We chose steak. the steak was cooked medium well and tasted great. However it was relatively smaller than expected. 8/10 The dessert was an apple pie with some cream on the side, the apple pie was warm and paired well with the cream when put on top. The crust was a tad bit thick though. 8/10 There was free tea and coffee the end near the finale of the show. TOP RAIL PREMIUM->The was a 3-5 drink opportunity where a staff member would come buy asking what drink we would like, with many options ranging from ice chocolate in a popper to the iconic XXXX beer Experience/Show: Overall 6.7/10 (SPOILER WARNING) When you first enter you got to wear a hat with a read band for VIP and a blue for normal tickets. Before the show there many side attractions like dog photos horse photos and live country singing. The dog photos was great having your hand under a dogs hand when taking your photo with the dog being extremely well trained and friendly. The horse photos was similar with it being completely harmless and well trained. The singing was great with many Australian/country songs playing in the background. The show started of good introducing everyone and had amazing visuals with excellent animal appearances of dogs and horses. However it got slightly boring with some parts being unrelated to the story such as the race. Near the end it had informational themes about the droughts in Australia and had a beautiful conclusion. Service: The was excellent with easy entry just scanning our tickets with not very long lines for everything (Max 10 min) The staff was extremely kind and understanding not charging us for accidentally breaking a wine glass and speaking nicely throughout the whole experience. Overall/Additional tips: I would recommend coming to this place at least once for the authentic Australian experience and going for VIP is not necessary for is optional. However things can be bit pricy with photos and gift shops so being at least 150 additional dollars. Feel free to leave a reply! (Can’t promise I’ll reply though😅) Disclaimer For personal and Australian Outbacks reasons I will not be showing the dog photos and horse photos, and other parts of the experience. As some may be against their Terms and conditions as well as my own privacy.

We bought the top rail premium tickets. The package included a 3 course meal, photos, and beer spirits and wine. For entree we had a vegetable and feta quiche. The options for the main was chicken or steak. We all had steak which was absolutely devine. It was served with mash potatoes, roast pumpkin and steamed beans. The meal was lovely. The dessert was apple pie served with cream. The drinks service was really good offering more drinks a number of times. The show was really good. The sound clear and very loud. Young children would benefit from ear muffs. The lights were incredible! They lit up the arena during the play. The story line was really good. The acts and performance was really fun and they get the audience involved and even had a game! The car park was big with enough space for everyone. It was very easy to get a park near the outback spectacular. My son (6mo) was given a hat even though he didn't have a ticket (as he was under 2). There was a line for the toilets but it did move fast and people could move around as there was two openings between the toilets and hand basins. This is a fantastic activity for families of any age and ability !!!

Brilliant show! Surprisingly good food. The show was amazing, very talented people and animals, beautiful singing and showmanship! Also had true blue Australian humour 😂 so that was a massive positive! The food was better than expected and the free refills on show drinks was also a great plus! Also, got a hat to take home! Great night out and couldn’t recommend more!

Make sure to book ahead of time. Get there early, as it will give you time to have a couple of drinks before the show. The line on entry moves quickly. First stop is the token souvenir photo and the cowboy / cowgirl hat. Then out to the shop to grab a souvenir or two to remember your evening. Onto the bar. Grab a drink and enjoy the music, even have a dance should you wish. Also you can grab a pic with a show horse and or dog. This is the perfect time to go to the toilet before the show starts. Then out into the arena. Entree is all ready when you get to your seats. Vegetable tart with pineapple chutney. Main is either eye fillet or chicken breast with veges. And dessert is an apple pie with cream. The eye fillet we found was the best part of the meal. The apple pie was a bit dry. Beer , wine and lemonade are served during the show. The wait staff are busy, in and out throughout the show. And a little distracting at times. The show was great. Lots of lights, colour and effects. The helicopter was awesome. The animals do an amazing job. A love story with a real understanding of the hardships the outback face. I’m sure you will enjoy it

Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast is an expansive water park located just 1km from Movie World theme park, making it convenient to visit both attractions in one day. The park offers a variety of thrill rides, a wave pool, concessions, and a surf shop. It's perfect for families or groups of friends looking for fun activities.
It was a truly delightful experience. The weather was ideal, and the atmosphere was exceptionally pleasant. It wasn't overly crowded, allowing us to fully enjoy each slide. We thoroughly enjoyed all the slides, the hot tub, and even the area designed for the younger ones, which was perfect. While some slides were closed for maintenance, there were still plenty to enjoy.
Sam M — Google review
The pros: Vigilant lifeguards, plenty of lockers ($12 all day hire), lots of seating, clean bathrooms, and sufficient rides and water experiences for all ages. Wait times were not long for rides but we were there on a weekday and it wasn’t school holidays. The food was also better than expected - We really enjoyed our burgers. The cons: On the day we went, 3 rides were closed for maintenance (including one which was unplanned). While we were fortunate to be able to return a couple of days later to go on the last ride we wanted, it’s something to bear in mind if you have your heart set on something. I was grateful customer service was able to tell me when the unplanned maintenance might end.

We had an amazing time at Wet’n’Wild! The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The park was clean, well-organized, and full of fun rides for all ages. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the water slides and wave pool, pure joy all day! There were plenty of shaded spots to relax, friendly staff everywhere, and food outlets offering great options to refuel between rides. Safety was clearly a top priority, which made the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. It’s the perfect place for families, friends, or anyone looking to beat the heat and have a day full of excitement. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast. The water slides were so much fun, and there was something for everyone from relaxing pools to thrilling rides. The park was super clean, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was full of energy and laughter. It’s the perfect place to spend a sunny day with family or friends. We can’t wait to come back again.

Great place for kids & adults alike. Tge wave pool is great fun for young ones and the less adventurous. Plenty of seating in shade when not busy. Beware the scrub turkeys jumping from seat to seat, pooping on cabanas!

great park with lots to do, the lines were pretty long for a weekday. there were a few people blatantly skipping lines, and some groups would have one person waiting in the single rider line while they hide around the corner, and getting the rest of their group to join to skip the lines when it’s the person’s turn. i wish the crew would keep more of an eye out for this as it makes the long queues intolerable

A short walk to Snapper Rocks increases the chance of spotting migrating whales during the cooler months. Coolangatta offers easy access to family attractions as well as the natural beauty of Northern NSW and the Tweed Valley.
Beautiful beach. Great for waves. On a clear day you have a perfect view of surfers paradise and the coastline of the Gold Coast. Lovely place to hang out and just chill. Great place for a nice summers day. Parking can be tricky to find though.

Coolangatta is such a great place! And of course, the beach is beautiful as well! You can enjoy the view of the Gold Coast skyline while you swim or just walk along the trail and it is just breathtaking! The beach is also not overcrowded and was not destroyed much by the cyclone so its landscape is well kept! Together with the overall vibe of Coolangatta it just gives chill vibes, much different compared to Surfers Paradise but I actually like this more! This place is just less commercialized and more vacation-type of style! Come on a sunny day and you'll be amazed

Cooly is my FAVOURITE beach on the Gold Coast! Been going for years as it’s the perfect proximity to shops, cafes and restaurants and retail galore along the strip! Has everything you need within walking distance, and the beach is a hidden gem that looks as though you have walked into some unknown paradise. Just next door is Greenmount where it’s a beautiful place for a picturesque picnic, and you can go for a lovely walk on the pathway that takes you on a scenic route. Beach is fantastic for kids as at low tide a natural pool forms that is not dangerous waves and for those that want to surf, you can peter out into the waves. We holiday there every year and it’s the best time of me, my husband and kids lives. I could rave about it for ages, but let’s just say you won’t regret going for a day trip thru summer or a holiday 💞

Coolangatta Beach is just a great place to visit and spend quality time with the family relaxing, swimming, building sand castles or just enjoying sitting and let the fresh sea air cool you. I came to the beach with my family today my first visit and I know it will not be my last. What a great place to spend time with my Grandchildren it was such a delight. The water is a beautiful colour whereever you look and there is plenty of beach not to be over crowded with people. Just a great place to be and have fun. There are lots of Cafes and Shops if sitting on the beach isn't your thing but for me the sand is just perfect. I would definitely recommend a visit.

David Fleay Wildlife Park, nestled in the tranquil Burleigh Heads area of the Gold Coast, is a charming destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Established by renowned naturalist David Fleay in 1952, this heritage park emphasizes animal conservation and creating natural habitats. Visitors can explore lush rainforests and wetlands while observing an impressive variety of native species such as crocodiles, wallabies, koalas, and even the elusive platypus named Wally.
Purchased a Father's Day buffet and entrance package and was not disappointed. Such a beautiful hidden pocket- well maintained and preserved park. Although not as big as other parks attended, the surroundings and walk around the facility was serene and clean. Small but mighty!

The park is quite small. Some areas are still recovering from cyclone Alfred. There were not too many animals... 2h will be more than enough to see everything, including attending some of the daily talks. It's not possible to feed the Kangaroos 🦘, but depending on the time of the day you go, you might see the park carers doing so. It's quite cute to see them eating sweet potato 😊 Friendly staff members who will be happy to answer any questions you might have. I visited the park on a Wednesday. It was quite quiet, which was pretty pleasant. Hope you have an enjoyable day 🐨🦘🤗

Close to Currumbin wildlife park this is a Park with a lot of history. Returning after 25 years, the park has detoriated from its earlier years. This historic park needs to be spruced up especially with the pot hole road access and the cafe and more wildlife related activities. The cafe is average . Besides vegetation options ( has only 1 ), needs better menu. The quality of what they serve is fine

Beautiful haven with superb grounds that showcase the extraordinary beauty of the natural environment, sadly depleted by development. Well-cared for birds, animals and reptiles and superbly knowledgeable friendly guides. Nice cafe and a thoughtfully planned room for children to learn and play. Very accessible for prams, wheelchairs. Lots of shady seating areas. Most beautiful anhd important attraction on the coast.

Well laid out and fully accessible for anyone with mobility aids. Animals were viewable whilst still having space. Not busy when I went. Unfortunately, the platypus enclosure was being refurbished so I wasn't able to see them.

My mate Dan and I had a great tour with Jenna. Enjoy a wholesome, altruistic Australian wildlife experience where you can learn how what we do at home and when travelling impacts native animals and our precious Australian biosphere. Who gives this wonderful space one star? It's a conservation and rescue space for wildlife, not a hugging zoo. You shouldn't assume you can hug the animals in advance as it may not be safe or healthy for the animals or the visitors. $27 is not expensive. We paid extra to help the cute bundles of joy at Fleay's. For those who reckon you couldn't see anything check out my awesome new desktop wallpaper. Yes Jenna, you're a chatterbox, but we loved every bit.

Tallebudgera Creek is a picturesque natural attraction located near Burleigh Heads National Park and Palm Beach in Queensland. The area offers a 5-mile trail that takes hikers through mangroves, coastal scrub forests, and along beaches, providing scenic views at every turn. This moderate hike is suitable for both beginners and moderate hikers, with opportunities to take a refreshing swim along the way.
The beach was absolutely beautiful, despite the confusing direction of Tallebudgera Creek. Despite the hassle, the peaceful and stunning surroundings made it all worthwhile.

HOTA, Home of the Arts, is a cultural complex that offers a variety of facilities for entertainment and artistic experiences. The Gallery at HOTA is a prominent public regional gallery in Australia, showcasing diverse exhibitions and events throughout the year. It features local, national, and international artworks as well as the renowned City Collection, documenting the character of the Gold Coast and Australian art development. Formerly known as Gold Coast City Gallery, it has become an integral part of the city's arts precinct.
Wonderful free museum experience and a welcome change of pace from the Gold Coast's beach scene. The gallery's distinctive, colourful architecture makes it a landmark in itself. The gallery spans six levels, showcasing a significant collection of Australian art. However, the best feature might be the view: head straight to the rooftop bar for a panoramic photo of the city, looking out over the Nerang River and Surfers Paradise. The entire HOTA precinct is accessible and great for exploring on foot, with beautiful parklands and a sculpture walk around the lake. It's easy to get here, either by enjoying a scenic walk or conveniently taking the HOPO ferry directly to the grounds.

HOTA Museum is colorful and impressive from the outside, a perfect blend of art and nature. Just walking around the grounds already lifts your spirits. I was really looking forward to visiting, but unfortunately Gallery 2 was closed this time — I hope to see it on my next visit. The poster art exhibition was vibrant and beautifully captured the spirit of its era. And the view from the top floor was absolutely stunning! You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Coast city and ocean — definitely worth a visit.

Spirit of Gold Coast Whale Watching offers an extended whale watching season from late May to October, with peak times for the northern migration in mid-June to mid-July and for the southern migration in September. During this time, visitors can witness thousands of humpback whales migrating north from Antarctica and back down the coast. The company provides tours that allow guests to get up close to these majestic creatures, offering a unique opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat.
It was a great experience. It's a large and comfortable vessel that provides protection from the elements and an upper deck to get an even better view of the whales. It's early in the season, but we were lucky enough to see a whale breach several times. The crew are very knowledgeable and provide an excellent commentary. I took a motion sickness tablet as precaution (it's highly recommended that you do so), but luckily the sea was flat on the day I went out, which makes it a much more pleasant experience. If you arrive early, you may find free car parking on the street within walking distance.

Whale watching yesterday was an awesome experience! The friendly staff, welcome drinks, and snacks made it even better. The weather was perfect, and seeing whales up close along with a group of dolphins swimming beside our ferry felt like a dream. An unforgettable memory—definitely coming back again!

I’ve been on this tour three times now and it has been absolutely fantastic every single time. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins, a turtle, and even a ray in addition to the whales. The crew is incredibly kind, answered all our questions with great knowledge, and made the trips truly enjoyable. It’s definitely worth the money, and I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Gold Coast. Supporting this local company is absolutely worthwhile! Thanks a lot. I really enjoyed it! 🐋🐋🐋

I recently went on a whale watching trip with Spirt whale watching. The weather conditions were decent, with an overcast sky and approximately a 1.5 meter swell. The crew managed the situation well, and all staff members were pleasant throughout the experience. Unfortunately, we did not see any whales, although we did observe two distant spouts of water. The captain provided a good commentary during the trip. However, a significant number of passengers experienced seasickness, leading to frequent use of sick bags, which was quite off-putting. Considering the ticket price of $180.00 for two people, the overall experience felt more like an expensive boat ride than a successful whale watching adventure. Additionally, I purchased a small Mars bar and a roll of peppermints for $8.15, which felt overpriced. It would have been reasonable to expect that such snacks might be offered at cost price, given the circumstances. I followed up with a brief email to the company to express our disappointment. The response we received was standard, inviting us to consider booking again in hopes of a better experience in the future. The company acknowledged our feedback and expressed regret for not meeting our expectations. Based on this experience, I do not believe we would choose to go on this trip again. Watching a video might be a more reliable option for seeing whales. Marcus De Santis

Have been on the whale watching trips with Spirit of the gold coast many times over the years and they never fail to disappoint. The boat is comfortable, staff are always lovely and it's a great day out. We have always been lucky enough to see whales on every trip out with them. They sell services they are not equipped to handle. Severely understaffed. Most stores not opened. They sell unlimited refills for drinks online with no facility to actually refill them without waiting for over an hour in the same line at the 1 store open in the entire park to buy all drinks and food. The eating area is full of people waiting to be served and not actually eating.

I would never come back. Slides purposely slowed down to make reason for the ridiculously $100 price for 7 fast rides only. Everything is boring and slow lined up for 2 hours so far and still haven't been down a slide. Now the main water park is shut and we are just sitting on seat. By far the worst water park will NEVER come back. Movie World, Sea world and Wet n Wild are by far the absolute best places to go! And aren't a money pit for crap like WWW. Baby pool was the coldest pool we have been in at ANY THEME PARK ! Not even close to worth the price. And don't even get me started on waits for drink or food!!!

1 hour wait lines for 30 secs of joy Not worth the price or energy and frustration waiting in lines as an interstate visitor 2 adults and 2 children - left halfway through the day to go to dreamworld instead 4 slides in 4 hours ain’t cutting it Some slides had 2-3 mins down time between sliders for what??!! The 8 slide only had 5 lines open then they would send single riders or 2 riders down at once with a 2 min break at the end I understand safety but it’s actually ridiculous and feel it could be done so much better Opening during the week days would be so much better Will not be returning
Kimberley I — Google review
The water park was extremely disappointing. Some of the best slides were not operating at all, and even the ones that were open suddenly turned into 45-minute waits without any explanation. I spent around three hours there and managed to go on only four slides in total — which is ridiculous for a place that advertises itself as a full water park experience. There was no information provided about which slides were open, why queues stopped, or what was causing the delays. The whole place felt poorly organized and completely not worth the money. Honestly, it feels like a real scam.

Fantastic views and a lovely walk. It’s a good stretch of the legs to get to the top but I’m a reasonably unfit 61 year old and I managed it just fine ! Views are good for whale watching apparently. Only loses a star because it’s just about the only place on this part of the coast that charges for parking (which I didn’t spot so I got a ticket - my own fault for just assuming!).

Tucked away in the lively Surfers Paradise, the Gold Coast Wax Museum stands as a must-visit destination for anyone intrigued by history and pop culture. This remarkable museum boasts an impressive collection of over 110 life-sized wax figures, showcasing a diverse array of personalities from various fields such as politics, entertainment, and science.
Love This Place! From the moment we walked through the doors, the lovely gentleman host was cheeky and charming and gave us a nice introduction to the tour and the museum. All the figures are fascinating to look at, so many hours and such detail goes into the craftsmanship of making the figures, their clothes and getting their styles right. Some of them look SO real it's like uncanny valley :P :) I adored the little dioramas throughout the museum as well. They were educational and so very cute! I appreciated some of the hand painted backgrounds too. The downstairs of the museum was thrilling! LOVED IT! The figures and depictions are again beautiful and full of craftsmanship and gory details. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and is a tour guide that knows Real history ,) Now that i TRULY appreciated indeed, as not many people are in the know, you know ,) I think this is a unique way to spend a couple of hours on the Gold Coast, it's not every day (if you live far away) you get to experience bizarre, macabre and super unique artifacts. Can't wait to go another tour soon! :D THANKS EVERYONE AT THE WAX MUSEUM!!! <3

“I recently visited the Wax Museum and it was an unforgettable experience! Every detail, from the incredibly lifelike figures to the rich historical displays, was truly impressive. I enjoyed seeing all the famous characters brought to life so realistically — it felt like stepping into history and popular culture at the same time. One of the most fascinating parts was the section about historical torture methods, showcasing how people were punished centuries ago. It was both chilling and incredibly educational. Overall, the museum offers a perfect balance of entertainment and learning. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!”
Banny K — Google review
Very old and dated most figures don't resemble the real characters and very much no where as good as other wax museums I've been to. The horror chamber again forced to do as a large tour group and stuck listening to a tour guide giving a lot of inaccurate information. Definitely save your money give this a miss.
Sallyre74 — Google review
Very friendly helpful staff, Enjoyed walking through at own pace . Bit out dated, would be nice to see more pop stars. Enjoyed the history of it all though. Especially enjoyed the tour and hearing all about the old days with punishment etc . My daughter also very enjoyed the shared knowledge she even saw a wax figure she had learnt and studied about at school.
Kristina A — Google review
It was a good place to visit. Most of the wax models looked like the real person. All the wax models are behind glass. The torture room tour was very interesting and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Visited with my family while on holiday. Great experience. Not only were the wax models enjoyable but the staff were very personal and knowledgeable. Great experience.

We had a great time there and the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. The only issue was that probably the venue needs a bit of renovations other than that highly recommended especially to families with children and adolescents.
Doğu E — Google review
Really enjoyed coming here. Staff were super friendly, the upstairs was cool seeing all the different celebrities and figures. Some look better than other but to be expected. There was also some cool replicas of crowns and jewels. The chamber of horror was really cool. Its a guided tour and the guy running it knows lots of historical facts etc which was really interesting to learn about. It was definitely a cool experience and 100% worth a visit rain or shine

Purling Brook Falls, located in Springbrook National Park, is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. The park boasts the Best Of All Lookout, offering stunning views of the subtropical rainforest and the peak of Mt Warning. This UNESCO World Heritage site features an Antarctic Beech forest from the Gondwanaland era. The falls themselves are a sight to behold as they plunge 100m into a lushly forested base without making contact with the cliffs.
Lovely views with a nice 4km circuit hike from the lookout to the bottom of the falls. I was a bit worried there won't be water since we haven't had rain for a while. Still very happy to witness the beauty of this falls. Highly recommended!
Sheila Y — Google review
Such a lovely, easy, safe, bush walk, passing through the bottom of a spectacular waterfall. You can swim in the rock pool at the bottom of you like but best not to fit preservation of the natural eco system. Then you continue on the parth which perfectly takes you straight back to the car park. One leg is shorter than the other, so you can shorten the whole journey by choosing the short leg to get there, and returning by the same route. There are lots of stairs the short leg, but they are not hard to negotiate even for low level fitness. Several look ours along the way. Takes about an hour if you don't stop and dawdle too much but allow 2 hrs so you can relax and enjoy the walk, it more of you stop for a swim and a snack at the bottom. My photos don't do it justice as we went after a bit of drought. Usually much more water going over the top.
Nicole W — Google review
Really liked this walk. Was mostly a sloped slow decent. The water. Fall was nice and would have loved to go for a swim. Best to do the loop clockwise for ease. I did it anti-clickwise and then read the instructions/suggestion to do the other.
Nevill — Google review
The hike is a little long, but we'll worth it for the views and the cool bridge you use to cross over at the base of the waterfall. Plenty of spots to get photos and saw a few folks in the water.
David S — Google review
Lovely 4km hike. Fantastic views, trails filled with life and a great swimming spot if you dare to face the shivers. Lots of fallen trees on the trails that are carved back to ensure accessibility, I deeply appreciate how well the trails are cared for. On this hike you really do get it all, seeing the marvellous waterfall from below and above was captivating. Perfect track, I’ll be back!
Nikki ( — Google review
Beautiful hike with amazing views and breathtaking waterfalls. You can swim in them too! Definitely take a bikini or swimming trunks! The hike itself is not that tough. Some wildlife on the way.
Rashi J — Google review
Purling Brook Falls is, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding and visually stunning hikes the Gold Coast region has to offer. The falls itself is a massive, single-drop plunge waterfall, cascading over 100 meters into a lush gorge. Just bear in mind climate change has had an impact on waterfall flow. But what makes this experience exceptional is that the circuit allows you to view the falls from a spectacular lookout at the top, hike down into the valley to stand at its misty base, and even walk behind the curtain of water itself. The trail winds through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest, providing a constantly changing backdrop of ancient trees, ferns, and eucalypt forest. It truly feels like stepping into a prehistoric, green world, offering a refreshing escape just an hour's drive from the bustling Gold Coast beaches. The 4km circuit is well-maintained and clearly signposted, but it is not a flat stroll. It is classified as a Grade 3 track due to the steep descent and ascent required to get into and out of the gorge. If you take the track in a clockwise direction (recommended by virtually all visitors and park signage), you will descend the estimated 450 steep, concrete steps first. This gets the heavy knee-jarring work out of the way early and means your return journey involves a much gentler, gradual incline over the suspension bridge and back up to the picnic area. Going counter-clockwise means a brutal climb up hundreds of stairs at the end. Highlights: The Lookouts: Short walks from the main parking area offer breathtaking views of the falls from the top. • The Base of the Falls: Standing in the natural amphitheater at the bottom, feeling the cooling mist on your face, is the ultimate payoff. The sheer scale of the falls from this vantage point is mesmerizing. • The Suspension Bridge: This bridge provides incredible photo opportunities, placing you right in front of the cascade before you begin the climb out. • Warringa Pool Detour: For those seeking a secluded swim, the track continues from the base of Purling Brook Falls for another 2km return (adding about 40 minutes). This leads to the quieter Warringa Pool, which is a fantastic spot to cool off, especially when crowds are at the main falls. The Purling Brook Falls Circuit is a must-do Gold Coast experience. It's a moderate workout that rewards you with views and sensations that are nothing short of magical. Plan for a half-day trip to truly soak it all in. Highly, highly recommended.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Surfers Paradise is a popular museum showcasing over 300 exhibits of bizarre oddities and rare artifacts. Visitors can marvel at shrunken human heads, unusual animal skeletons, and interactive displays that cater to all ages. The themed galleries feature unbelievable stories, illusions, and interactive games, while the 7D Moving Theatre offers an immersive motion simulator experience.
What a fun place to visit. We were in Surfers just overnight for appointments for my daughter and we hadn’t been here since she was really little. So we decided to go check it out again. There is so much amazing stuff on display! We purchased the top Pass which gave us access to everything. The 7D cinema was the best part for both of us! We chose the Wild West one. The mirror maze was so much fun and we laughed the entire time. Even walking down the stairs to enter there’s a fun surprise!!

Fantastic experience. We did the main museum and the mirror maze. Everyone in our group (from age 3 to mid 50s) had a great time, there was something for everyone. Loved the interactive parts, like making the tallest man stand up and walking through a tunnel that made you dizzy. The mirror maze was the best I've ever seen, we will definitely be back next time we visit the Gold Coast.

Paradise Country is a popular farm on the Gold Coast that offers an authentic Australian farm experience for families. Visitors can enjoy encounters with koalas, wombats, and kangaroos, as well as tractor tours and gold-panning experiences. The farm provides a traditional bush culture experience, allowing kids to feed kangaroos, take photos with koalas, watch shearers and stockmen in action, and try activities like boomerang throwing.
Great little Nature park. We got to hold a koala and pat the dingo (paid experience). So many koalas and kangaroos which you can get up close too. Nice little train ride and a few shows throughout the day. Good for little ones as not as much walking as currumbin
Kirstin H — Google review
We had such a good day at the farm. It’s really spacious and relaxed, and the animals are super friendly. The kids had a blast brushing the goats and checking out all the animals up close. The tractor ride was fun, and the $10 pony rides are a great option for the little ones. We also caught the sheepdog show—it was honestly one of the highlights, really fun to watch. You can even take a photo with a koala, which is a nice extra if you want a cute souvenir. Overall, it was a great atmosphere and just a fun place to spend time as a family. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a fantastic time at Paradise Country! the staff were wonderful and we really enjoyed the activities they had on offer. We did the opal mine and you can tell Sarah loves her job because she was super sweet and matched my kids excitement and even made safety equipment seem exciting which not a lot of people can do. She answered all of our questions and guided through the whole activity. The food in the restaurant was really good and well priced compared to other theme parks and all the animals looked super healthy and happy! I can’t wait for our next trip back.

Out of all the theme parks to visit Paradise Country was our favourite place. The animals were beautiful and it was such a relaxing calm environment to explore. The staff were also very helpful and kind and my son loved the mining activities and riding a pony. We also loved the Shaun the Sheep theme!

We had an amazing time at Paradise Country! The staff were awesome and we loved all the activities they had going on. The animals were gorgeous and it was such a peaceful, relaxing place to explore. We got to hold a Koala and the kids got to go on a pony ride (both at a fair price).

We love coming to Paradise Country because my 4-year-old daughter enjoys it so much. The relaxed country atmosphere and variety of animals make every visit special. The staff are always wonderful and friendly. Today, after the 1:30pm Shaun the Sheep show, my daughter was disappointed when The Burrow café had already closed and she couldn’t get the ice cream sunday that I promised her. Thankfully, Nikita kindly reopened the cafe and prepared my daughter's treat. It truly made our day— please pass on our appreciation to the wonderful Nikita!

Food in the buffet was pretty average and said recommended for child friendly Well hardly - they offered hot chips and plain ice cream and playground isn't in view of restaurant. Parking is far away if not staying on-site and hardly sign posted, so we ended up drenched with 3 kids, even 39$ for adult + free child to eat was $$$! Would have enjoyed more relaxed, like a tavern or something with nicer staff etc
Rebecca S — Google review
Paradise Country was such a wonderful experience! 🐨 I was able to hold a koala and take a photo without a reservation, which was such a special moment. The koala was just too cute — munching on eucalyptus leaves and then dozing off for a nap. Absolutely adorable! 💕 The park size was just right, easy to walk around without feeling too crowded. For lunch, I enjoyed the buffet at the on-site restaurant, which had a nice variety and was very satisfying. 📸 Koala photo sessions are available both in the morning and afternoon — don’t forget to check in at the reception! A perfect spot to experience Australian wildlife up close and relax at the same time. Highly recommended! ✨

It’s a nice place. Easy access. Had warning signs as very dangerous. Nice to sit in the shallow rock pools. If game the big rock pool is quite big and deep but you can’t see in the water so check your surroundings and the depth first. People had picnics blankets and dogs. A bit of grass to sit on. Quite a bit of parking. Nice for a rock pool but I’ve been to a few nicer ones here.

Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre, also known as Burleigh Head, holds great significance as the ancestral home of the Kombumerri Clan. The name 'Jellurgal' is believed to mean 'sugar bag' or 'bee's nest'. According to local Kombumerri Dreaming, Jellurgal was created by Jabreen, the Creation Spirit.
I made the effort to come here from main beach and I am glad I did. Kailen is a captivating storyteller who brought the culture alive and made me feel a part of history. I highly recommend the tour and visiting the shop. It is a beautiful part of preserved country, well worth the visit for locals and visitors alike!

Unforgettable and enlightening morning. Thank you Jellurgal Cultural Centre team for warmly and generously sharing your Cultural knowledge of this hugely significant area. It made such a difference to my stay "In the GC" which is very surface much of the time. Everyone should take time to visit this Centre and take an enriching tour. Grow your knowledge and develop some understanding of the people who have been the resilient Custodians of this land and all that lives apon it for over 20,000 years. Thank you to the elders of the past, present and future for this opportunity/experience. P.s. Hope that Jellurgal becomes the official name of this special area in future!

An absolutely stunning and eye-opening day with Kailen whilst taking in all the sights, stories and songs that Jellurgal had to offer. Without spoiling the content, if you're looking for a cultural trip whilst enjoying the Gold Coast, don't book anything before you've done this. A trip through time and history like nothing we've ever done before. Topped off with a hike through the rain forest whilst dolphins jumped around in the bay in front of us. Simply magic.

What an AWESOME experience. Our tour guide brought the history of the Aboriginal, from this area, to life for us. It is always a plus to learn of the rich history, and hear the stories of the peoples of this land. So grateful to have this shared experience from Austrailas' Aboriginals, and the Indigenous from our country, Canada, specifically North Western Ontario. Thank you for this amazing journey.

Fantastic experience to learn more about Aboriginal culture. I was really impressed with what was covered in the time we were there. We absolutely loved our walkabout with Kailen. He’s a truly amazing storyteller and the stories he shared gave me goosebumps. We visited during rainy weather with my 75-year-old mother and he was so patient and kind. My 9-year-old loved it, too, and Kailen kept him engaged throughout the tour and created an environment where he felt safe to ask a ton of questions. Truly, one of a kind experience, we’re so glad we found.

Located at 147-189 Brisbane Road, Biggera Waters, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 I used to work in one of the stores at Harbour Town when it first opened years ago. There was big hype about it because there was nothing like it on the Gold Coast. There’s was a lot of brand names back then and I was glad to see there still is on a recent visit. I live in Sydney now so I don’t get to come as often now, only when I holiday on the G.C. I feel it’s still the same where it’s just a big collection of brand names but they don’t really offer any significant deductions in price. From what I could see, you would just about be paying the same if you go to a normal retail shop to buy products from the brands at Harbour Town. I was happy to see the complex is still very well looked after and maintained. It was very clean. There’s still ample car parking 🅿️ and toilet 🚻 facilities including disability toilets. It’s a very wheelchair accessible centre. Easy to get around in a wheelchair 🦼. I would still recommend a visit but don’t expect any real bargains. Thumbs up!! 👍👍

It’s an ideal spot for couples looking to tie the knot with a backdrop that feels truly magical.
It definitely is one of the most beautiful places in the Gold Coast/ Tweed Heads. It is situated at the border of QLD and NSW and it is just wonderful how you can see both the ocean and the skyline of Gold Coast at the same time. There's a large green space to hang out, too! The only thing to note is that it could get windy so if you go on a day with a mild temperature that would be the most ideal!

Terrain is very distinctive and it’s quite interesting that the cliff looks taller than a 10 storey building and you can feel a sense of “Danger” as if there wasn’t fences at wall. It’s also interesting that you can see turbulent flowing out of the drainage pipe. To sum up, remote location but still popular and worth a visit.

Asian fusion restaurant
Restaurant
Rick Shores, located in Burleigh Beach, offers a stunning seafront dining experience with Asian fusion cuisine. Despite facing challenges like the #bigwet, this restaurant has emerged gracefully and continues to be a favorite among locals and visitors. The carefully curated menu features delectable dishes from Vietnam, Thailand, and beyond.
Went here for our anniversary and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and extremely professional. They explained the menu and even provided suggestions which we took and definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was great, so flavoursome and fresh. Had a few different dumplings for starters and then the king prawn curry for a main. Had the chocolate cake and chocolate mousse for dessert and the staff placed a sparkler in the cake for our anniversary which was a really lovely touch. Will definitely be back.

We were lucky to enjoy one of the most exclusive tables with a direct view of the beach and ocean 🌊 a breathtaking setting that made the experience truly special. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive, and their wine recommendations were perfectly on point. We came for lunch with friends and chose the set menu, which was beautifully balanced and exceeded our expectations. Altogether, Rick Shores combines stunning views with excellent food and service …a place well worth visiting if you can secure a table.

Rick Shores is an amazing restaurant that really has it all. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and the view is astonishing. We were fortunate enough to have a beach front view that felt like you were looking at a postcard! Our waitress Elizabeth was a breath of fresh air that added so much to our experience. She was very personable, had a great knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent recommendations about the food and activities in the area as well. You are lucky to have her. The food was amazing and we loved the flavours and the creativity. The salmon spring rolls were an unexpected highlight, with the avocado cream pairing just delightful. The super light housemade roti is an absolute must to soak up the sauce from one of their delicious curries. We had the coconut prawn curry and it was divine. The signature Moreton Bay bug rolls are delicious as they look, and the Phoenix Wagyu in the truffle honey sauce is a must try. A beautiful location with amazing food and staff. Well done Rick Shores, thank you for a wonderful experience that we won't forget.

Such a great lunch spot!! The vibe and atmosphere is definitely worth the hype. The food was great as well. The bug rolls are delish but it was actually the burrata I was OBSESSED with. Great stuff guys!
Rachel O — Google review
I have lived on the Gold Coast for a while now and have heard many good things about Rick Shores. We arrived without a booking, not realising the place is usually booked well in advance. The view alone is breathtaking, a perfect spring day in Queensland, right on the water. Even though they were full, the team kindly managed to arrange a small table for us. I started with a beautiful Japanese style lager which set the tone perfectly. Then came the crispy battered oyster with ginger caramel and lumaboshi jellyfish, absolutely phenomenal in texture and flavour, easily one of the best oyster experiences I have had. Lunch was the famous Moreton Bay Bug Roll with mayonnaise, sriracha, gem lettuce and a soft brioche bun. They call it a snack, but it is a moment. The balance of flavours is unreal, and now I understand why this dish has such a reputation. The atmosphere, the view, the food, everything was on another level. The service was exceptional. The wait staff were super friendly and even though it was clearly a busy day, they still took the time to chat briefly, explain the dishes and guide us through our choices with genuine passion. This is one of those rare times where five stars just does not feel like enough. If you are visiting the Gold Coast, or like me have lived here for years and somehow have not tried it yet, do yourself a favour. If you appreciate good food and memorable experiences, Rick Shores is an absolute must. Well done to the entire team. You truly have something special here.

Absolutely loved the glow worm cave. I learnt so much about them. This is a man-made rainforest and a man-made cave which was just amazing. The frog hollow was just an added extra which I also enjoyed. And I love Cedar Creek running through the rainforest and all the random bush turkeys just wandering around. Amazing!!!

Beautiful scenic drive then you arrive and are greeted by friendly staff in a delightful setting. Momo was our guide and she was friendly and full of enthusiasm for her job. She imparted a ton of information in a way that made it interesting. The grounds are well kept and the attached cafe, gift shop and winery are beautifully set up. We purchased some excellent gifts to take away with us. You cannot take photos inside the cave but outside and around the frog breeding areas you can. A great way to spend a few hours.

Great, informative tour as part of ticket and entry. The glow worms were AMAZING. The cave was full of them glowing brightly. There's also Frog Hollow to see too. All set in lush rainforest on a vineyard estate. There's also a lovely cafe/restaurant and wine tastings. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a tour with Beau Eastman. It was his first tour but what a bubbly knowledgeable chap. We found out that he was a film maker and has done work for Sir David Attenborough. We had to dig to get that but it was amazing to hear his adventures after the tour. Made the whole tour just that bit more engaging and magical. The glow worm story is pretty cool. It’s like you end up inside the galaxy in space. And the whole place is actually bright from the glow after your eyes adjust. Worth checking out for sure. The frogs and lizards is a bonus.

Little bit pricey. But worth it. The guide was hilarious and informative while allowing a fair amount of off the script audience questions. I attended with my daughters and they absolutely loved it.. there is also a "dark den" with all kinds of amphibians and reptiles which was well maintained and true to pattern, very informative. No guide for the dark den, but a guide was needed in that section. Wonderful experience.

Snapper Rocks is a must visit when you’re on the Gold Coast. Famous for its powerful waves, it’s a hotspot for surfers from all over the world. Even if you don’t surf, it’s amazing just to sit on the rocks and watch the pros ride the waves at the Superbank🤯🤌 The water here is crystal clear and the views are really stunning, especially on a sunny day. Sometimes you can even spot dolphins or whales passing by, which makes the place feel extra special. The rocks also give you a nice lookout point for photos or just chilling out🤓 It can get busy, specially during surf comps, and parking is not always easy, but it’s still worth the visit. The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is a thrilling treetop walk that takes you through the lush rainforest canopy of Mount Tamborine. A wonderful walk in the rainforest seeing the rich fauna and wildlife. An easy walk that offers stunning views but also great educational opportunities for the family and students of nature. The reception team were friendly and even on a Sunday afternoon there was good parking. Overall good value and a joy to see how the money spent is well invested in protecting nature. Enjoy the walk…

Walking through a rain forest was a great experience. The signage was good. Some of the ground walk was uneven, so wear suitable walking shoes. Saw one water dragon, heard lots of birds but didn't see any. There was another visitor who was playing a flute while he was walking around, sounded great and fitted into the environment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Walk takes about 40 mins at a nice leisurely pace.
J N — Google review
Took visiting tourists on a lovely outing. A couple who arrived before us was visibly distressed by the movement of the promontory point. It's not enjoyable for people easily distressed by heights or swaying caused by simple foot falls. We didn't spot any wildlife aside from a few water dragons and common birds but the trail is so interesting as it weaves through the layers of the canopy I think it's worth it. We only saw one or two orchids in bloom too so it's probably better when it's not early spring.
Kathryn K — Google review
This place is fantastic ❤️ A small entry fee is totally worth the views to walk along the treetops. Great views all the way to the creek. Totally worth the stop
Monica M — Google review
We loved the skywalk and we appreciate the care that has gone into making it a safe and educational experience. We learned a lot about the rainforests in southern Queensland and saw some amazing landscapes. The butterfly observation point was not as prolific in the spring as it was last summer, but still caught a glimpse of a few birdwings. It's definitely a place you want to check out if you're visiting Tambourine.
Craig C — Google review
What an unforgettable adventure at Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk! My partner and I visited this stunning eco-attraction on a crisp spring morning, and from the moment we arrived at the beautifully maintained entrance in Tamborine Mountain National Park, we were blown away. The 1.5 km elevated walkway meanders through the lush canopy of ancient rainforest, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Gold Coast hinterland, cascading waterfalls, and the distant Pacific Ocean on clear days. We spotted vibrant birdlife—like rainbow lorikeets and whipbirds—fluttering just meters away, and the informative plaques along the path educated us on the unique subtropical flora, including towering strangler figs and rare orchids. The highlight was the 40-meter-high cantilever bridge that sways gently over Cedar Creek, giving a thrilling yet safe adrenaline rush without disturbing the ecosystem below. The entire experience is wheelchair and pram-accessible with smooth boardwalks, and the knowledgeable guides at the start provided fascinating insights into the Gondwana rainforest's 100-million-year history. it's incredible value for a 45-60 minute self-guided walk that feels like stepping into a Jurassic paradise. The on-site café serves delicious local coffee and scones with views of the valley, and the gift shop has eco-friendly souvenirs. Clean facilities, ample parking, and zero crowds mid-week made it perfect. Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is a must-do for nature lovers, families, or anyone seeking serene beauty in Queensland—highly recommend! Very nice place, we love it. We'll be back soon.

We did this attraction on a whim while in Surfers today. It was well set up, felt very much like a Tokyo Team Borderless experience but with of course, an Aussie twist. Moving through the rooms was a decent pace and not too scary for our youngest (6).

Definitely a worth it experience. It's basically a walk through experience with different rooms and effects. Very trippy and it was also extremely dark pretty much the whole way through. It could also get very loud at times. Some rooms event felt scary and my friends were screaming heaps through them 😂. Overall I thinks it's worth it. Maybe don't go in with smaller one day tho as they could get scared. It's $30 for adults. Overall o recommend 👍👍

Not Suitable for Young Kids – Misleading, Overpriced, and Poorly Managed Our visit to Infinity Attraction on the Gold Coast was an extremely upsetting experience. Despite fun-looking advertising and a recommended minimum age of 8, this attraction is completely inappropriate for young children. Even for older kids, the first half is dark, disorienting, and frightening — nothing like the bright, fun images promoted. Our young sons were deeply distressed early on, and with no clear way out (the attraction is one-way only), we were stuck. We called the front desk from inside, desperate for help, and were simply told we were “about halfway through” and to “just go quickly.” That’s not support — it’s dismissal. Staff knew we were distressed — they were watching on security footage and even commented that kids had to walk on their own and couldn’t be carried. I put my son down, but picked him up again because he was in a state of panic. No one has the right to tell a parent not to comfort their child during a situation like that. When we finally made it out, we got a token “How was that?” — Why none of the three staff members sitting at the front desk could come in with a torch or guide us out is beyond me. Whatever enjoyable or “fun” elements there may be are far outweighed by the disturbing, high-anxiety parts — especially for children. There is no proper warning about how intense it is, no exit once you’re in, and no real support if things go wrong. This attraction is not family-friendly, not honest in its marketing, and not equipped to safely handle distressed guests. Would not recommend — especially not for families.

It's ok... But certainly not worth $93 for a family of 4. We walked through not fast and was only in there for about 15mins. Like don't get me wrong, it's cool in some parts... But definitely not worth the hype and definitely not worth the price. Got to the end and we all said "is that it?"

A great way to deal with stress, a heartbreak, a midlife crisis, or any tragedy imaginable! It was always a great distraction from the pain I felt that I'd escape by going into their Escape Room, and I can't wait to take my 4 lovely daughters here so they can experience this high tech experience themselves! Emily is a great, smiley staff member there and she is a Kiwi Margot Robbie that's pleasant to all customers! This place is more than worth the admission cost! Margot Robbie would be proud!

My 11 yr old had his bday party here with his friends and he enjoyed
Twinkle C — Google review
I came a few months ago, and the service was not good. Two staff were on, and when not engaging with customers, were talking about negative things in their personal life and swearing, in front of customers, including children. The staff member helping the customers in queue was quite nice though, but the other staff member was incredibly rude, and mocked me when I almost forgot my bag. The price was also quite a lot for a 15 minute slow walk. I am NOT making this review to get the staff in to trouble, but rather in hopes the workplace and service improves! Other than that, the experience itself was great! My emotions flipped from amazed, to scared, to critical thinking, etc. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and although it hasn’t changed much, it still amazes me now! The experience is very interactive and engaging.

Truly an otherworldly experience. Went during the school holidays and is a must visit. 4th dimensional rooms filled with lights, smoke machines, moving walls, and the list goes on. If you need a thrill then look no further then infinity. Definitely a memorable experience and will look forward for another thrill when I come back!

Nature & Parks
Kirra Beach, located on the southern Gold Coast, is a popular destination for families, surfers, and swimmers. It offers scenic views of the city and access to various restaurants. The beach is known for its small rocky headland at Kirra Point which separates it from Coolangatta beach to the south. This area is considered one of the world's top surf breaks and hosts numerous surfing competitions throughout the year. The diverse surfing conditions cater to both beginners and experienced riders.
It is such an underrated beach that is less crowded and noisy than Surfers Paradise and the cheapest to come here is by translink light rail and bus, which only costs 50 cents per journey. You can take the light rail to Broadbeach South and transfer for 700 bus to the bus stop nearby.

This is a great place for a walk in the sand and / or a swim. Walking through the soft sand on the way from the street is good exercise. There is a section of the beach red and yellow flags with lifesavers watching. It was a cloudy day when we visited but still warm and a hat and sunscreen were a good idea. There is even an area where a creek flows into a pond and it was not too deep so the kids could enjoy the water without having to worry about waves.
Martin B — Google review
Kirra Beach is one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches on the Gold Coast. With its long stretch of soft golden sand, clear blue waves rolling in, and endless sunshine, it feels like a postcard come to life. The atmosphere is both lively and laid-back – you’ll see surfers riding the waves, families enjoying the water, and plenty of people stretched out under the sun just soaking in the coastal vibe. What makes Kirra unique is its natural beauty and calm energy compared to the busier Surfers Paradise. It has a slightly quieter, more local feel, but still with all the charm of a classic Gold Coast beach. The views are spectacular, especially at sunrise and sunset when the sky lights up with amazing colors over the ocean. Whether you want to swim, surf, sunbathe, or simply sit back and enjoy the sea breeze, Kirra Beach delivers the perfect balance of nature and relaxation. It’s a must-visit spot if you want to experience the true Gold Coast lifestyle – iconic, refreshing, and effortlessly chill

Best beach on the coast without a a doubt. Key infrastructure, away from gold coast nonsense. Great food, great surf, great everything.
Gus W — Google review
Kirra beach offers a slightly quieter, more local feel compared to busier spots like Surfers Paradise, making it perfect for families and relaxation-seekers. Soft golden sand, clear blue waves and endless sunshine. Perfect ❤️
Andreas T — Google review
We stopped at Kirra Beach whilst visiting Cooly Rocks on Sunday, the beach ⛱️ was great and a nice spot to relax. I was lucky enough to get a carpark opposite the beach as it was jam packed, not too many people in the water. Has a beautiful restaurant located on the corner and clean public toilets. Broadwater Parklands is a sprawling park located just a short drive north of Surfers Paradise. It spans three kilometers along the Southport foreshore and offers various attractions for visitors of all ages. The marine-themed water play area is a highlight, featuring fountains, water jets, and artificial waterfalls that provide entertainment for toddlers as well as older children. Additionally, the park boasts picnic areas with BBQ grills, walking paths, and even a beach across the Gold Coast Seaway.
Beautiful place to be! Lovely beach with shallow waters perfect for wading. Always the Gold Coast Marathon weekend event area annually, and always a lovely area to bring the family. Really accessible by tram (Southport station), bus, and even ferry just on the jetty here! The Aquatic Centre is here too. Love the picturesque Broadwater Parklands!

Nice and quiet good place for the whole family. Plenty of things to do and see. Wheelchair friendly paths, and they have a liberty swing here as well. Well maintained area. Toilets are close by. Wonderful beaches as well. Plenty of parking space but it's paid parking. Nice and easy paths to walk on. Highly recommend going to have a look at 😊😊.

This is our family’s favourite park on the Gold Coast! Our kids absolutely love it! there’s always a great variety of activities to enjoy. The park is beautifully maintained, clean, and perfect for families, kids, or anyone looking to relax or stay active outdoors. I also love that my favourite cafe, Barrel Espresso, is right there, it makes every visit even better! Kudos to the Gold Coast Council for doing such an amazing job keeping the park safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
Elaine B — Google review
Good place to take the kids, with plenty of parks, walking tracks, outdoor water splash areas and picnic areas. There's a range of other activities too, including the aqua park, rockpools and a few restaurants nearby. Some pleasant sea views all along the walk too, and a great place to stop. Parking can be very limited during peak times, however, so plan accordingly!
Kerbray — Google review
This park pleased all three of our kids from 11-4yrs. It was unique. Beautiful views. Great for different capabilities. Bike track that was well thought about and made fun. In addition we used the aqua park and enjoyed coffee at the Barrel Espresso. So kept everyone happy. Definitely worth a visit if in the area with kids
Kimberley A — Google review
This park is definitely a paradise for kids who love playgrounds because you can literally name all kinds of playground equipments here including the rare ones I’ve never seen before. Moreover, there’s even a water park called Aqua Park but you need to buy a ticket for that, which isn’t free. Or you can just build sandcastles and play with water on the river beach. On the other hand, I saw a bunch of people having great picnics on the BBQ areas and simply on the grass. There are tiny lodges with benches where you can lay down and relax as if you’re in a sauna, and a large pier that has long benches with the most magnificent views and it’s also a ferry stop and great fishing spot. It has a decent number of pubic toilets in the park and if you are hungry, there’s a seafood restaurant and an espresso shop. The welcome sign near the front gate which is made of grass and flowers looks amazing and memorable. If you are taking the light rail, I suggest you disembark at Southport instead of Broadwater Parklands because there are much more shops and restaurants near Southport station. To top it off, the park is much bigger and more versatile than I imagined. It’s absolutely an excellent place for both adults and children to visit.
Super B — Google review
A lovely park with picnic tables, & children's playground areas with water features, handy to Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Southport, SE QLD. Public transport is nearby also. Beautiful family of black swans enjoying the park too! 😊

The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens, previously known as the Rosser Park Regional Botanic Gardens, offers a serene and diverse natural environment with various gardens, pathways, and a playground. It is a sought-after location for garden ceremonies and is conveniently situated near Macintosh Island Park, which provides picturesque settings such as metal bridges, waterfalls, peacocks, and more. The gardens feature attractions like the Rose Garden and Butterfly Garden that cater to visitors of all ages.
Beautiful place, to relax. The council keeps it immaculate. No dogs are allowed in some areas, but there are spots for our fury little friends. Perfect for a picnic, a walk, or little ones riding around the entire park. Lots of lizards, water dragons, and birdlife.
Cristal J — Google review
Easy walk around the botanic gardens, stuck to the lake path and boardwalk. Beautiful reflections, birds, turtles and eels to see. The sensory garden made for an interesting experience. The Friends of the Gardens have a little shop with a range of interesting products and information. The small cafe next door allowed for a coffee before wandering around the gardens.
Bruce N — Google review
It’s quite far from the main town, so you can really feel surrounded by nature. This botanical garden is a bit different from others - it’s more open land rather than being filled with dense trees and flowers. But it’s very peaceful, with birds, ducks, lizards, and turtles to see and hear along the way. A really lovely place for a walk.
Kira — Google review
It's a great place for walking, running, meeting friends and enjoying the beautiful nature just in the middle of the city. Lakes and trees are amazing in all seasons. It's one of my favourite places on the Gold Coast

Josh, Dean and Adam were great from start to end! The kids had an absolute blast and came back raving about the awesome experience. Lots of adrenaline and fast paced actions. Probably not for the faint hearted. A birthday gift well enjoyed by a 14yr old.

They take great care during the initial briefing and provide raincoats and storage for possessions. All of my family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were cold and wet, but still wanting more by the end. All the staff were very friendly. On the bookings side, I think they need a little work. My booking time was flip flopped around between sessions on the day a few times due to various reasons.

The jet boat adventure was amazing. I joined with my 5-yrs and 7-yrs sons, and both of them enjoyed as much as I did. Josh was one of the best. He did so many slides and 360-degree spins whenever he could. We all had great fun during the 40 mins tour. Highly recommend.
