Keraton Kasepuhan, a grand palace built in 1447, is the residence of the Sultan of Kasepuhan and serves as a museum open to the public. It is one of four palaces in Cirebon, alongside Keraton Kacirebonan, Keraton Kanoman, and Keraton Keprabon. This 16th-century wonder is among the oldest and largest palaces in Cirebon with intricately designed throne rooms.
A large palace with several different smaller clusters of buildings. They have various ticket offerings from 2, 3, 4, and 5 sites at different pricing. We purchased the entire 5 sites, got to see the palace, museum, AI show, and sacred wells.
Carlitos — Google review
Keraton Kasepuhan seems to be the better choice out of the two palaces in Cirebon because it's larger and older of the two. I chose the ticket with the access to all the areas which is 30k/person (domestic). Car parking is 10k. The entrance area needs to be cleaned, there's a lot of trash around and the ticket reader is out of service. The museum houses some artifacts, sadly it needs upkeep like painting the walls, fixing lights in exhibitions, and cleaning. The AI Lotus museum is not recommended, it's just a 15 minute AI video about the fight against the Dutch, and plays more like an action movie rather than a historic one. Going deeper, the back area is very poorly maintained. The restaurant has been abandoned for some time and the pools/lake are not maintained and used for fishing by the locals. I did not get a guide, and it seems it would have been a much better experience with one, so I highly recommend getting a guide. This place definitely has massive potential, and if it's fixed could be an instant recommendation if you're in Cirebon, and even an international level tourist destination. However as of now it's okay, not too bad not too good.
Matildabz ( — Google review
The museum zone and AI movie were really nice to see. It was cool to know about the history between the colonisers and Indonesian ***As a foreigner who doesn’t speak Bahasa, I felt a bit odd walking inside. Some people tried to talk to me and follow me (not in a friendly way) Maybe they were guides, but I wasn’t sure When I walked through the gate to get a ticket, a man (knew later, a guide) started walking with me, offering to volunteer as a guide, even though I didn’t ask for it. TBH, having a guide could be good here because there wasn't a lot information in English but I felt more like harassment
Akira K — Google review
Well, it's a palace. I bought the Rp25.000 ticket, so I got to visit not only the palace but also the museums inside as well. Not much that you can do except strolling around aimlessly. Once we entered the museum, a guy came to us explaining things and gave us no space to say no. Even though eventually we used the service (later on we realized that he is a tour guide), it felt like an ambush. The funniest thing is the AI museum, which is basically a standing theatre where they play an AI-generated movie. The movie (obviously) looked so off because the generated images were not the best.
Rizqie A — Google review
Cool palace with an excellent museum. The main thing to see in Cirebon. The grounds are mildly interesting, mostly for the Majapahit-style gates and ruins dating to the 15th cent (later palace sections are unremarkable). The museum is amazing, a treasure trove of 15-16th century asian artifacts. Foreigner prices as of August 2025: site entry 20k, museum 15k, AI exhibit 15k, old palace ruins (Dalem Agung Pakungwati) 15k. There's 2 other smaller keraton in Cirebon whose grounds are free (but lack the 15-16th cent structures). Note that I got a lot of harassment/unwanted attention while touring as a white person, including a group of children constantly following me and trying to talk and touch me. Just be aware.

Good Place to know the history of Cirebon especially kasultanan and the link with Sunan. Better accompany with guide so you get more detail story of place.

The views are awesome and the guide is great n helpful It is worth visiting this historical place
Irma B — Google review
Overall, there were no artifacts from the 14th century and exhibits from civilization that were very old. This might have been a newly planned village at the time. There were crowns, documents, kilns, and carriages on display inside the museum. And it seems like a tribal city where there was not much exchange, given that there were more knives and spears than guns.

Sang Cipta Rasa Great Mosque, built in 1480, is a historical site with a romantic origin story. It was a gift from Sunan Gunung Jati to his wife and involved the work of about 500 people. The red-brick mosque stands on the south side of a large green square and has a unique, old, and historical appearance. Visitors can experience the relaxed ambiance and quietness that create an image of sacredness.
Very old mosque, clean and well taken care of. But ablution for women is a bit inappropriate as the men can see women opening their scarf just a few feet away.
Salwana A — Google review
More likely for recreation or museum, old building and ancient one. Not too clean, park toll IDR10,000
Ahmad S — Google review
At the centre of the precinct is a historical mosque with traditional architecture and made entirely of dark coloured timber. Visitors are allowed to enter the historical mosque through the small door. Daily prayers are performed on undercover area around it. Very beautiful although a bit dusty at some spots. It is understandable as maintaining a structure like this would not be easy. So please donate generously to the mosque while visiting it.
Rully R — Google review
This red-brick masjid doesn't look like others in common. It looks old, and yes, historical. I came here just few days ago (Dec 2019) at 9.30 AM and the main gate wasn't opened yet, so we had to walk around to find the entrance door at the back side. The parking officer said it usually opens for public at 10AM. The relaxed ambience and the quietness create an image of sacred place. There are toilets and ablution place. Mukena (prayer gown) for women is available. People can do the prayer on the outer part or inner part. To get into the inner part (where you can see the unusual-wooden-dome's structure, special place for king's family to pray), you will have to bend your body because the entrance is smaller than the normal size. If you drive here, you can park near Kasepuhan square by paying 10.000 rupiahs.

An old mosque which located near from keraton kasepuhan cirebon. It has unique history about its making process. Enjoying city tour of cirebon has no complete without seeing and visiting this mosque.

Heritage and religious Islamic tour here, great mosque almost 500 years olds, it's construction lead by Sunan Kalijaga
Sigsur — Google review
ONE of few heritage mosque created by Islamic Nine Saints of Java, The Walisongo. Unlike other Mosques, the prayer call for the Friday Mass or Shalat Jumat here performed by 7 men. The primary room of this mosque which is the original building have 9 small entrances related to 9 Saints above mentioned. Now the room only used for weekly praying on Fridays and Islam Memorial days.

Sunyaragi Cave Park in Cirebon, Indonesia is a captivating historic site that was once a meditation spot for the sultans. This unique cave stands out with its remarkable architecture and tranquil ambiance, attracting visitors seeking natural beauty and man-made marvels. Just 3 kilometers from the city center, Sunyaragi Cave offers a blend of stunning stone formations and water features that create an atmosphere perfect for rest and reflection.
We stumbled upon this place on a tranquil weekday morning—just a few fellow adventurers, both locals and foreigners, sharing the space. As noon approached, the excitement in the air began to build as more people arrived, eager to explore. We discovered that these enchanting, handcrafted caves were once sacred sites for meditation, steeped in history and mystery! It was thrilling to imagine the countless souls who sought solace within these walls ages ago!
Anita L — Google review
It's a really good place to see this ancient building that was designed like a cave? Or maybe it's a cave and constructed like a building or a place to stay? Not really sure, they should've provided some stories about the place.
Putri S — Google review
People online said this is one of the must visit attractions / site in Cirebon, but i beg to differ. Upon entry the place felt dirty, unattended, and mismanaged. For background the place was built as a meditation place for the Cirebon Sultanate. The weird architecture using reef bonded together is definitely something unique, but the novelty of the plus point ends here. Everything feels dirty and the place fell apart everywhere. I must then resort to reading things online for context. No signage guiding tourists, no storytelling, stone path leading to dirt, pond becomes a local fishing pond. Even the commercial section on the exit for SME looked sad and vandalised. The government is stupid for discarding a place with such historical value. We left after exploring the place for 20 minutes. The parking lot was empty when we left.
Hans J — Google review
Historical site with meaningful philosophy. Amazing. Recommended to visit when you in Cirebon.
Kevin A — Google review
it wasn't a big site, but it has stories worth visiting for.. we decided to have a guide so we can get the full experience.. the place was considered clean (for me) and the staff was very friendly.. although the site really needs improvements
Hamzah S — Google review
Goa Sunyaragi Cirebon or Sunyaragi Cave is one of the historical sites that located on Cirebon, not far from the city center. The enterance ticket is only IDR 15k/adult person. I order ride from gojek ride to get there and the tariff is bellow 15k from my hotel (hotel Asri Cirebon) and it took only about 15 minutes to arrived. The sites is very large and it took me about 1 and half hour to finished sightseeing and photographed a whole place. I also took some rest sometimes if I feel tired of walking (I just sat on the stairs anywhere the sites). The sites was built on the 18th century based on the information I found online. Surprisingly it still looks in a good condition even though it was built a long time ago! If you have an acrophobia/fear of height, or you have imbalance issues, I suggest you to ask for guidance or guide to accompany you. Because if you want to explore a whole place, you need to walk across the narrow footpath (only one person can walk there) and next to it, on your right and left it has around 1/2 meter/50 cm a cubic shape hole. I think it used to be filled with water (like a small pond) or filled during the rainy season, but since it's just holes when I visit there you might find it a little bit scary to cross some passages. The surrounding area also full of irregular and rough and almost all of it has a sharp texture, so you can't use it as a grip. The weather when I visited there is scroching hot! I suggest you to bring some water to prevent dehydration. Don't forget your sunblock either! If you have a low heat resistance, you better bring a parasol/umbrella and wear an easy to dry kind of clothes. You can enter the cave, but not all the path is all conected, most paths are just short and dead-end. The sites has a U shaped path, so from the enterance to the exit gate, you just take a U shaped detour. The enterance and exit gate are side to side. By the enterance/exit gate you can find some street vendors selling some beverages and traditional chips/snacks. There is a big mosque/place for praying. Not far from there, there is a building from ministry of tourism and creative economy. Even though the building is already closed, in front of it has a notice/bulletin board. You can find several information regarding Cirebon culture, such as a traditional food, traditional dance and guide for the tourism place and they also give a translation for the international tourist. Near the building, It has a an open wide concrete field and nearby, there is Indonesia traditional gazebo/bale-bale. I saw a child who is practicing the Cirebonese mask dance. It's so beautiful! But,since I don't want to interupt the practice, so I just watch it from a far and didn't want to take any picture/video without their concern. Because dance duration is quite long, I also didn't have any chance to ask the dancing teacher, who apparently has a souvenir store or selling some wooden masks as a souvenirs. In general, I found the Sunyaragi Cave sites is worth to visit if go to Cirebon and you like historical place or object!
Soraya B — Google review
This place is only for sight seeing. Not so much history. Even no old photo or picture to show how the grandeur of this place before.

Sunyaragi Cave Park, also known as Goa Sunyaragi, is a fascinating historical site located near the city centre of Cirebon. This cultural landmark offers visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history while showcasing its unique architectural charm. The entrance ticket is affordable at just IDR 15,000 per adult, making it an accessible destination for all. While you can explore the caves, it’s worth noting that not all pathways are connected—many lead to short, dead-end routes. This layout adds intrigue and encourages exploration. What sets Sunyaragi Cave apart is its striking appearance, as most of the structure is covered in coral reefs. This gives the site an otherworldly vibe, making it a must-see for anyone interested in history or unique architecture. The preservation efforts seem commendable, ensuring its authenticity remains intact. Hiring a guide is highly recommended for a more enriching experience. They can provide valuable insights into the history and significance of the site, enhancing your visit and helping you appreciate the cultural context. Sunyaragi Cave Park is a unique and affordable historical site offering cultural education and visual wonder. Its coral-covered architecture and preserved layout make it a standout destination in Cirebon. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply looking for a unique outing, this site is worth a visit. Don’t forget to hire a guide to make the most of your trip!

Keraton Kanoman is one of the three royal houses in Cirebon, alongside Keraton Kacirebonan and Keraton Kasepuhan. Established by Prince Kertawijaya in 1678, this traditional 17th-century palace spans about 6 hectares behind Kanoman Market. It holds significant historical relics related to the spread of Islam by Sunan Gunung Jati.
Another palace still related to Keraton Kasepuhan in Cirebon
Putri S — Google review
when I entered the palace, the terrace was very dirty, the dust and dirt on the floor stuck to my socks, never in the broom and in the mop. The condition of the palace should be paid more attention. Lots of dry and dirty leaves. Inside the palace there is a musty smell, it must be opened so that the air in the room is replaced with the air outside. I was not taken to the heritage museum by the guide. When we want to go home, we give less than 50 thousand rupiahs, but the palace guide only want to accept 50 thousand rupiahs and don't want to accept less than 50 thousand rupiahs, I am a little surprised but that's okay, hopefully the palace really takes care of it.
Adin — Google review
Sultanate families still lives there, the palace is still used as a household for the sultan descendants. The place is quite unique and the guide is often related to the sultan. Very nice..
Bung D — Google review
This place is actually beautiful but it's neglected. Very messy. The museum is dusty with spider web in the corner of the room.
Dhavinra J — Google review
One of the historical places in Cirebon that need to be visited! This keraton has a marvellous china that were embedded in the every gate of the Keraton. They are very beautiful! The keraton has its own museum which has the important collections in showing its history. But this keraton has been lack of maintenance; a lot of rubbish were seen in many parts of the keraton.
Riaty R — Google review
a small museum that is very historically valuable.. hopefully it will be even neater and more well-maintained

One of the smaller Keratons in Cirebon. Not much to visit and definitely an optional place to visit when you're here. Difficult to get here as you have to go past the traditional market.

Cirebon Waterland is a delightful seaside water park located in the vibrant city of Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. Spanning an impressive 3 hectares, this attraction offers a refreshing retreat from the tropical sun with its diverse range of pools and water rides suitable for all ages. Families can enjoy three distinct swimming pools designed for children and adults alike, including one that meets international competition standards. The park is nestled within lush greenery, providing a picturesque backdrop for fun-filled days.
Good things : swimming pool at 20 rb or kidr, open till 6 pm., deep pool and shallow one for kids Need improvement : not sure if deep pool water is filtered often as when i was there bit smelly and dirty. Shower in changing room is not flowing water enough to take shower.

We would like to go to pantai kejawanan not to far from cirebon waterland ade irma suryani unfortunately the beach was closed for temporary reason due to covid. So we decided to go cirebon waterland ade irma suryani for laut(ocean). But we didn’t go for a waterpark but we just went to inside the waterland instead that has a cottages around. It cost for entry Rp.25.000/person. So here it’s some ideas that would guides you to go in.

Good choice for family trip. It is clean and green. Big pools and many choices of playgrounds. But the restaurant starts at 11 pm. Enjoy sea food near by the sea.
Roro W — Google review
A tranquil place where you come and sit around with your friends - or by yourself, i don't judge - and enjoy the nice breeze from the ocean. You can also bring some snacks to this place and have them while chatting with you friends. IRL not online.
Elmo W — Google review
Located literally on the beach, they have resort, restaurant and family waterpark. You have to pay IDR 50k as deposit before you enter the restaurant and take a little walk to their resort (for of course taking some selfies). The resort itself contains of some cottages vila on the water (I don't know the rate) and the restaurant building is like a huge Cheng Ho ship. The foods taste are not so special, but the price is quite affordable. It's one of the alternative to spend your evening in Cirebon to enjoy the sunset and sea view (which the water is so dark and not blue at all)
Ika H — Google review
A vacation spot for families because there are playgrounds, swimming pools and restaurant. More quiet there on weekdays. For swimming pool, octopus stairs were already fragile, it must be repaired.

Cirebon Super Block Mall, also known as CSB Mall, is a vibrant shopping destination that truly embodies the essence of lifestyle and entertainment in Cirebon. Spanning four floors, this expansive mall features an impressive array of retail outlets showcasing both local and international brands. Visitors can indulge in a delightful culinary experience at the food court or enjoy a movie at the multiplex cinema.
Good place for hang out with Friends. All your needed was right here in one stop building. Just find it by yourself what you need. And the parking area was big enough.

I thought this was Cirebon best mall, but it feels wrong. One of the worst maintained mall i had ever been onto, just below Surabaya’s Marvel Mall. The options are OK though, Matahari, XXI, Fore, Solaria, Marugame Udon, etc. But why are the escalators not working, at the same time? Like, you had one job to do, and its to maintain it properly after you build it. The mall has pretty bad circulation and musholla. I don’t know why would they place it in the parking lot, in the middle of them levels with like 2x2 meters area. Please fix it, i hope it gets better the next time around
Mikail A — Google review
Cirebon Super Block is a nice mall in the heart of Cirebon. There are some good stores in there, we stopped by to go to AZKO. There are also a number of food options there if you need a bite to eat. It is a nice cool escape from the Cirebon heat.

Cirebon Super Block Mall offers a convenient and refreshing escape in the city center. With a diverse range of shops and restaurants, it caters to all tastes. While the air conditioning is a lifesaver in Cirebon's heat, it can struggle during peak seasons. On my visit during Lebaran, the mall became quite warm, and many people sweating a lot. Overall, it's a fantastic destination for shopping, dining, and family entertainment!

For not a big city, this is the super block mall in the city. Not so far from the Luxton and I am truly find this mall with just a minute from the Luxton. Big mall with so many tenant in here. Grage City Mall offers a serene and enjoyable environment for quality leisure time. The spacious parking area ensures convenience, while the abundance of attractions and live music performances create an engaging atmosphere. Situated near a beach, the mall boasts a mesmerizing view from its upper balcony. Despite not being in downtown, it is conveniently located close to the city. With ample security measures in place, it provides a peaceful shopping experience with plenty of space for leisurely strolls.
It's an awesome place to hang out with your friends even your family. However, some people say that this place is not worth to explore because not that "fancy", eh.. it is, but mall is mall, you can find stuffs like any other mall as well. The best part is, the loo are neat.

One of the most beautiful place to spend your quality time with anyone, anytime, not so much crowded, numbers of attractions and the parking lot is huge you barely got stuck looking for a spot to park your vehicle, live music ons every night, a swimming pool beautifully placed next to a multi purpose stage where live music is performed, the view from the upper balcony is mesmerizing, even though it is not in the downtown, it's not really away from the city, it also sits near a beach

This place is not the same as a few years ago before pandemic. Corona successfully make this place almost empty. No 'Bread Talk', No 'My Story', No Restaurants that survive except 'Platinum/Gokana', 'KFC', 'Food Court', 'Puyo', 'Roti O', and 'Superindo'. Even the play ground on top floor is dark. For me, if I'm not shop for monthly or just hanging out with client at Tea House, not recommend this place. But, there's a crowd every Saturday night like ordinary/weekly food festivals.

This remarkable building, which showcases exquisite Dutch colonial design, is not just an office but also a cherished heritage site. Steak was delicious, especially for Wagyu menu. Then, for Lunar new year event we have chance to draw angpau. We got 1 free french fries. Nice restaurant

Ordering Aglio Oglio pasta, but I don't want the sausages and asked for mushrooms instead. But the waiter insisted that they can't do that because mushrooms were out of stock and they said that "default" garnishment for Aglio Oglio was sausages. I'm on lunch group, so I went outside to find meals anywhere else and leaving my friends there. Half an hour later, I came back to my friends and found out that food haven't been ready yet. Customers apparently not in their top priority. Well, not a good way of doing business.

The temple is closely linked to Chinese culture and features inscriptions from notable contributors like Taan Kok Uong, Khang Li, and Liem Tsiok Tiong.
Visiting historical places in the city of Cirebon. The oldest temple located near Cirebon Harbor. Full of history related to the history of the development of the city and the Cirebon Sultanate. Guided by a good and friendly guide. explains the history of when this temple was founded, activities in the temple until today

Peaceful temple. Friendly guy there happy to provide information in a non intrusive manner. Could have happily spent all day there being peaceful. If you are into Chinese temples it's a 30-45 min stop. Of you're not into that then probably 5-10mins is enough

Place of worship
Talang Temple is an ancient Chinese temple located in the old city of Cirebon. The building showcases a blend of Chinese and VOC-era architectural elements, with windows resembling those found in Dutch colonial houses. While photography inside the temple is prohibited, visitors can admire the well-preserved terracotta floors and numerous traditional Chinese ornaments. The temple holds great historical significance for the local Chinese community and attracts crowds during important celebrations like Chinese New Year.
One of the most respected figures for his great contribution to the financial management of the Cirebon Sultanate at that time. Tumenggung Arya Wiracula is the name of his title in the golden age of Cirebon.

Epic! Full of history! From the Demak Kingdom era until the story from Laksamana Cheng Ho and another laksamana.

(Translated by Google) The second temple we visited in Cirebon was the Talang temple which has a history with the Chengho / Sam pho kong where the ship used to rest right in front of the Talang temple (previously it was still on the seashore, now it has been reclaimed). According to the story of the father who accompanied us, the direction of the temple's altar is towards the Qibla, following the direction of the building, where Chengho used to worship according to his religion (Islam), pointing towards the Qibla. Not much information has been obtained that it was once used as a mosque. This is all historical heritage that we must protect together.

(Translated by Google) One of the old temples in Cirebon. The management is friendly. The location is still around the old city of Cirebon. At first glance, this temple building doesn't just look Chinese. In fact, the windows on the walls have a shape similar to the windows in VOC-era houses. The floor is also still a terracotta floor so you could say it's still original. Unfortunately there are no photos allowed inside. (Original) Salah satu klenteng tua di Cirebon. Pengurusnya ramah-ramah.

This architectural masterpiece blends elements from Hindu, Chinese, and Islamic cultures. Despite its small size of only 40 square meters, the mosque holds a significant place in history as it played a pivotal role in the Islamization of Cirebon.
Really quiet, peaceful masjid (mosque). It’s small but well worth a visit while in cirebon. It’s away from all the hustle and bustle. Serene and truly historic masjid. Well worth visiting. Also a mix of Hindu style integrated into the overall design.

A heritage mosque that established in 1480 by Pangeran Panjunan. It is one of the oldest mosque in Indonesia. The architecture of this red mosque is the combination of Hindu, Chinese, and Islamic culture. Although this mosque is relatively small, just 40 square metres, but it has long epic history. It became the instrumental of Cirebon's Islamization. If you like heritage sites you have to visit this mosque while you are in Cirebon. The location is in Panjunan village, not far from the city centre of Cirebon. Just click your Gojek or Grab apps, the driver is ready to transfer you in just some minutes!

A heritage building from year 1480. It is beautiful and in very good condition. If you come in Ramadhan and participate in shalat Tarawih, they will serve you their signature ginger coffee (they said it is only served once a year). The locals there were friendly at first, however they will ask you to give them some money. A bit annoying.
