Architectural Buildings
Gedung Sate, located in Bandung, Indonesia, is a grand Dutch colonial administration building that has been repurposed as the government house of West Java. This historic complex once served as the headquarters for the Dutch Indies Government Companies and now houses the offices of the governor of West Java and the provincial house of representatives. The architecture is a captivating blend of Italianate Renaissance, Spanish Moorish, Balinese, and Thai influences.
Very interesting to learn about Bandung history especially during the Dutch East India Company period and later colonization from the museum here. The whole building architecture in a combination of dutch-java style design is intriguing. A must see if you like history while visiting Bandung.

Definitely worth a visit - BUT! Note the museum is small (and good) and is all about the city and building’s history - you don’t actually get to walk through the building and see the beautiful internal architecture. This is because it is still a functional/working office, but important to be aware before visiting, as we didn’t realise this. Still worth a visit to see this iconic building and its beautiful gardens.
Thomas — Google review
Bandung's iconic landmark. It's a historical Dutch colonial building that still functions as an official office today. The name of the building translate in "Satay Building" which is pretty funny, it's because the shape of the spire on top of the building looks like a satay. There's a small museum inside but I didn't visit it. The entrance into the compound can be a bit confusing with all those iron bars surrounding it, but you should find it if you walk around the main area. Overall a very cool building with pretty architecture, definitely worth a visit.
Yuhng Y — Google review
To know about Bandung's history in the past, we must visit this place. The museum is good enough and clean. A little suggestion, maybe they need to rearrange the art collection into eye-catching installation, and the lighting in some areas was not too good, so it's hard to take photos.
Sarang K — Google review
This is a must see for any Bandung visitors. It is an old Dutch colonial building that is still used by the local government. Great little museum, gorgeous Dutch colonial Architecture and a stunning view of the city and its surrounding mountains from the top.
Billy B — Google review
I love it and it's beautiful. This is the popular Bandung landmark. And it so beautiful and the field is so big. Hope you enjoy the view the same as I do.

Beautiful heritage building with free entrance to take photos. Ticket for museum cost only 5k and it’s the modern and quality museum
Devon N — Google review
I wandered amidst the neat and clean precincts surrounding this storied landmark of Bandung, Gedung Sate it is named. As many a traveler before me, I too paused to capture its visage with a fleeting image. Forsooth, one might deem me but another of the common folk, drawn to its presence as leaves are drawn to the wind, a humble soul amidst the multitude. Yet, this edifice, whose very name speaks of skewers aloft its central tower, a curious mark indeed, holds within its stones the echoes of ages past. Raised in the years between nineteen hundred and twenty and nineteen hundred and twenty-four of the common reckoning. *Lol, are you reading this gibberish? 😀 Okay let's continue* During the dominion of the Netherlanders, it served as the seat of their Bureau of State Concerns. The hand of the builder, one Gerber by name, wrought it in a manner where the West met the ancient East, a mingling of styles that lends it a singular grace. Now, it stands as the High Seat of the Governor of West Java, and within its walls, memories are kept in a museum for those who would hearken to tales of bygone eras. And so, with camera in hand, I found myself akin to any other wayfarer, beholding a place of history, recording its likeness for remembrance, no more and no less. *Next time I will go inside, now I only breeze pass through it*

Shopping mall
Paris Van Java Mall, located on Jalan Sukajadi Nomor 137-139, is a vibrant shopping center with a variety of brand-name stores, dining options, and entertainment. The mall features an open-air concept with numerous restaurants and cafes for visitors to enjoy. Inside the spacious mall, visitors can explore department stores, boutique shops, a grocery store, a cinema, a bookstore, as well as restaurants and coffee shops.
PVJ mall is a big shopping mall with lots of upmarket shops, heaven for shopping lovers. If going by Grab then have to pay 3k entry fees for drop and same for pick. Pick n drop should be free in lobby. Some area is not air conditioned. Restrooms were clean with beautiful fishes in water and lots of green.
Maninder S — Google review
Among all the semi-outdoor malls, PVJ is definitely the best for me. The layout is neat and super aesthetic. Not really huge, but not too small, just nice to walk around. Walking around here feels nice and not too crowded, though parking is still a pain on weekends. 😆
Indaharum — Google review
Lovely mall and lifestyle center, offering various shops, restaurants, entertainment center, sports and more. We came here for dinner and it has a wide variety of restaurant you can enjoy. Big chain ones as well as Indonesian food and the latest, hips munchies and snacks are available. It's accessible for person's with disabilities and it has ramps and lifts. The parking lot is spacious. Toilets are also clean. The traffic jam heading here can be a bit problematic. Make sure you're coming during the non peak hours time to avoid it.
Indah S — Google review
The mall is a bit confusing to navigate, and there’s no clear directory to guide visitors. The toilets are very dirty and poorly maintained — really disappointing. Definitely an area that needs serious improvement.
Putera D — Google review
The mall is big but elevators not conveniently located esp. if you are tired walking fm floor to floor. Too big oso not a pro factor. This mall seem to be quiet crowded than others shopping.
Rich L — Google review
For a family who have a stop over in Bandung, highly recommended this place, top floor it has small area for animals where you can feed, there is a water fall. On the ground floor there are good selections of restaurants, cafe, western as well as local food.
Susy S — Google review
the mall is a bit confusing with the layout, but I'm kinda impressed with how they have mini zoo, ice skating rink and cat cafe on the same floor. I think more malls need to have this kind of concept, so kids can have more options to play, other than mall indoor playgrounds or arcades.
Pinga — Google review
A mall with a natural concept offers a refreshing break from the typical shopping experience. Upon entering, you're immediately surrounded by lush greenery, natural light, and an open-air design that creates a serene, inviting atmosphere. The combination of indoor plants, water features, and sustainable architecture makes the space feel more like a tranquil garden than a busy retail center. The overall ambiance is calming, making the mall a perfect destination not only for shopping but for unwinding as well. The shopping experience is enhanced by the thoughtful integration of nature throughout the space. Stores are spaced out with pockets of greenery, and there are plenty of seating areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the surroundings. Many of the shops reflect the mall’s eco-friendly ethos, featuring sustainable, local, or organic products. This makes the experience feel curated and intentional, offering a mix of mainstream brands and unique, environmentally conscious boutiques that cater to those seeking more mindful purchases. Dining at the mall is another standout feature. Many of the cafes and restaurants offer outdoor seating amidst trees and plants, creating a peaceful dining experience. The food options often emphasize fresh, organic, and farm-to-table offerings, which align with the mall’s natural concept. Overall, the blend of nature, sustainability, and community focus makes this mall a unique destination that goes beyond shopping, offering an enjoyable escape into a thoughtfully designed space that prioritizes both the environment and the well-being of its visitors.

Museum Geologi, established in 1928, is housed within the impressive headquarters of the Dutch Geological Service. The museum boasts a diverse range of exhibits including rocks, minerals, invertebrate and vertebrate fossils. Visitors can explore three main exhibition rooms featuring volcanic displays and a model skull from 'Java Man'. The museum also offers an educational experience with replicas of Tyrannosaurus and ancient elephant skeletons, as well as artifacts showcasing early life on Earth and the extinction of dinosaurs.
A fun and educational spot in Bandung! Museum Geologi has everything from ancient mammoth skeletons to sparkling geodes from Brazil. The displays are well-organized and easy to follow, with lots of cool facts about rocks, fossils, and how the Earth works. The building itself is beautiful and historic, an art deco vibe, and the entrance fee is super affordable. If you are local adult, you just need to pay IDR 5K/person. Perfect for a quick visit or a full morning or easy weekend of exploring, great for kids and adults alike. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Bandung and love learning new things in a chill setting!
Rini A — Google review
The museum of geology is absolutely fantastic and it is worth the visit if you are traveling to Bandung. There are many things to see in this museum as it is quite big. There are also different simulations that show you what earthquake or tsunami looks like, which was very interesting. Tickets for foreigners are slightly more expensive than they are for locals - 5000 IDR for locals, and 25 000 IDR for foreigners in oct 2025. There is also a souvenir shop right next to the museum. I would've liked it if there was more information offered in English as most things had description only in Indonesian, but the staff said they have it in mind and that they will improve it.

I just visited museum geologi last day.and i looked at it the inside is nothing smell bad and nothing dirty!"located nearby gedung sate next to jalan layang pasupati"it was SO fun and i enter situasi gempa bumi. The end...

It's perfect place to visit at rest day from your holiday. You will find many things talking about Types of volcanic rocks and crystalline stasis. Also they cover all things even the earthquake and tsunami. I recommend it.
Ahmed A — Google review
The museum offers great exhibits, they are well organized. Ticket costs reasonably affordable. However, I was stumped when I found the big banner that reads “THE MISSING LINK” In my opinion scientific establishment needs to avoid the term. By the late 20th century, scientists moved away from "missing link" due to its sensationalist connotations and misunderstanding by the public. Terms like "transitional form" or "intermediate species" are preferred, emphasizing the gradual transitions seen in the fossil record (e.g., Archaeopteryx between dinosaurs and birds, or Australopithecus in human evolution). Apart from that tiny little issue (to me personally), the museum offers great experience for anyone with interest in the history of life and everything that leads to it. Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍

its the first time ive been here, and i loved the experience. the staff is friendly, informative, and helpful. i recommended coming here on a weekday to have the best experience. the giftshop is affordable and has a good variety of things to bring home. wished i spent longer here
Steviera P — Google review
It's easy to reach this museum due to located in Central City of Bandung. When you arrive at the museum, there some museum staff will help you to get directions and to buy the ticket. At the main hall you will find the fossil of Elephants from Blora, and then at next hall you find a lot of fype of rocks, gemstone until coal. Next hall you can learn about volcanoes, karst, morphology, geologycal resources, earth quake, tsunami, ring of fire, hydrocarbons and many other. Do not forget to find and try the earthquake simulator at this place. Very worth it to visit this museum, just only pay IDR 5000 per person you can learn a lot from this place.

Braga Permai is a historic restaurant located in a heritage building in the Braga area of Bandung. Originally known as Maison Bogerijen, it has been serving a variety of international dishes since 1923. The restaurant offers European, Chinese, American, and Indonesian cuisine and is a popular choice for families looking for a place to gather. In addition to its main courses, Braga Permai also serves delicious desserts such as ice cream and cakes.
Braga Permai is such a gem in the heart of Bandung! Located right on the iconic Braga Street, this restaurant blends vintage colonial-era charm with delicious Indonesian and Western food. The ambiance is cozy and nostalgic perfect for a relaxed lunch, dinner, or even just a coffee stop while exploring the area. The pizza was thin crust style, with mushrooms, cheese, and slices of smoked beef. It came out hot and fresh, with just the right amount of crisp and gooey cheese. Perfect if you’re craving something Western. The stir-fried veggies with tofu and cashew was surprisingly flavorful! A good mix of crunchy and soft textures, and the sauce had that nice sweet-savory balance comforting and healthy. The crispy chicken cutlet was golden and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. It came with a zesty dipping sauce that added a fresh kick. Overall, a great spot for both local and international food. The setting is cozy and classicfeels like stepping into a piece of Bandung's history. Definitely a nice place to hang out and enjoy good food in the Braga area
Desi D — Google review
I’ve actually wanted to visit this place for a while, and finally made it when I had the chance to stop by Bandung. The place is pretty spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas that are super cozy. The vibe is nice too, they have live music, which makes it a great spot to just hang out and relax with friends. I ordered the beef shashlik. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be kind of like skewered grilled beef, similar to sate but with bigger chunks of meat. It was pretty good the seasoning was flavorful, and the beef was tender. What I loved most though was the potato wedges that came with it. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly didn’t even need any sauce. I also got to try my friend’s spaghetti carbonara, and it was really good too. The creaminess was just right, not too heavy, and it had a nice balance of flavor. I paired it with a mixed healthy juice, which was fresh and tasted great. The only downside was the service. The waitstaff were a bit slow and not very responsive. Our food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive, and to make it worse, one of the orders got mixed up. I later checked the reviews on Google, and apparently, quite a few people have had the same experience with the service being slow, so at least it wasn’t just us. The prices are also a bit on the pricey side, but I guess that’s expected since it’s quite a popular spot in the Braga area. Overall, I’d say it’s worth visiting for the atmosphere and the food, but I really hope they work on improving the service because it kinda took away from the whole experience.
Ryani S — Google review
Went here with my colleagues, we want to chit chat but it's hard because their live music is TOO LOUD. Very upsetting. My advice to this old restaurant: please change the band for your live music to a jazzy one, slow and elegant music, that's more appropriate for your vibes👍🏻
Lathifa S — Google review
The food is clearly made from fresh ingredients—even the sauces taste homemade rather than industrial. Great quality overall, especially the meat! Prices are a little on the higher side, but the portions are generous and the food is worth it. Service is also good. The only downside is that it can get quite loud at times since it’s located in a main tourist area
Sita J — Google review
Perfect music, nice staff and tolerable customers. We went 18 person as a group from Turkey. Also we were noisy: But we really enjoyed our dinner and night. Thank you so much.
Aysun K — Google review
I think this one of legendary restaurant, located in the heart of Braga Street Bandung. Good food, good drink, and good vibes, also good services too. the portion of food is more enough for one person. When i came at saturday night, there's live music performance. I recomended this place when visit to Braga street
Arief R — Google review
Amazing place with a very very low food quality and over priced as well. I must admit my burger had 1 too many potato fries. I think chef made a mistake there he/she should not put that extra 1. And the salad was so plain with no dressing at all as we asked for extra dressing but with a few tin cut meat couple cherry tomato and plate full of lettuce should have been cheaper than 95000. Staff and the music was extremely good

The Asian African Conference Museum is a historical site dedicated to the 1955 Bandung Conference, which brought together newly-independent African and Asian states. This significant event marked a milestone in world history by uniting 29 countries from both continents during a turbulent period of the Cold War. The museum, located at Gedung Merdeka where the conference took place, serves as a reminder of the principles outlined in the Bandung Declaration and aims to inspire global peace and cooperation.
A small and free museum showcasing the history of the 1955 Bandung Conference, where Asian and African nations come together to promote economic and cultural cooperation, and to oppose colonialism. You will have to register a form with the guard before going in. There's two main sections, the museum and the event hall. The museum details the history of the event, English explanations are provided for foreign visitors. The event hall is a showcase of the original hall from the event. Should take about 20-30 minutes to complete the museum. Really worth a go if you're interested in the history of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Yuhng Y — Google review
This is a great museum. It is the very building where the first meeting of the Non-Aligned movement took place and it really shows the history and the importance of the conference as the Cold War was going on. The place is air conditioned, with a free tour guide as well. All the displays were well maintained.

I recently visited the Asian-African Conference Museum in Bandung, and it was a remarkable experience. The museum beautifully showcases the historical significance of the 1955 Bandung Conference, where leaders from Asia and Africa gathered to discuss solidarity and cooperation. The exhibits are well-curated, with informative displays that highlight key moments and figures from the conference. I particularly enjoyed the interactive sections that brought the history to life. The building itself is stunning, combining modern design with historical architecture. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which made it easy to take in all the information. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this museum to anyone interested in history, culture, or international relations. It’s a must-see when in Bandung!

Must visit while you are visiting Bandung, West Java. The museum is modern and well curated, depicting the important part of Indonesian history, when Bandung became the host for the historic Asia Africa Conference. You can get the ticket on the spot. Guides services are available as well. The museum is ♿️✅ accessible and friendly for those using wheelchairs. There are ramps in the entrance and exit, as we as disabled toilets. It is located in the city center, near the famous area of Braga. The Architecture of the building is also interesting to enjoy, as it bears the colonial era.

Worth a Quick Stop in Bandung The Asia-Africa Conference Museum is a cool place to stop by if you’re around the city center. It’s free, not too big, and gives you a quick look at the 1955 conference where leaders from Asia and Africa met. The old building is beautiful, and the original meeting room is still there — pretty cool to see in person. Great for a chill, one-hour visit if you’re into history or just want to see something different in Bandung.
Adi A — Google review
Small free museum. It's skippable if you can't make the highly restrictive opening hours. The only key thing to see is the main conference hall, which has been preserved. Otherwise, rooms are mostly photos from the conference with short explanations. There's a video with archival footage of conference highlights (English with Indonesian subtitles). Very strong AC - bring a jacket.

Among the many standout pieces that resonated deeply were: * "Waiting, Condemned, and Stressed" in steel wire, a truly impactful and moving work. * The intriguing dynamics of "Gang of Four" and "Gossip." * The profound statement made by "Searching for God." * The dynamic energy captured in "Rush Hour." * The striking presence of "Devi Zalim." Beyond these, the iconic Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) maquettes and other Nusantara designs are also definitely worth paying close attention to, showcasing the artist's immense scale and cultural depth. I spent around two hours exploring the sculptures and marveling at the art and the beautifully designed spaces, feeling that this was an adequate amount of time to fully appreciate the experience. For the sheer quality of the art, the peaceful ambiance, and the inspiring setting, NuArt Sculpture Garden offers incredible value for money. Whether you're a dedicated art enthusiast or simply seeking a unique, tranquil spot to relax and find inspiration, NuArt Sculpture Garden comes highly recommended. It's a testament to the vision of a legendary artist and a truly enriching experience in Bandung.

Villa Isola is a remarkable building in Bandung, Indonesia, dating back to the 1930s. Originally constructed as a luxurious villa for an Italian millionaire, it boasts European architecture and stunning views of the city and Tangkuban Perahu mountain. The villa features beautifully landscaped gardens and has operated as a hotel in the past. Situated on the university campus, this unique architectural heritage from the Dutch colonial era offers beautiful vistas overlooking Bandung's valley.
Amazing Art Deco Architecture Building, turned into University offices. It is beautifully designed and the University did a great job preserving this unique one

Selasar Sunaryo Art Space is a captivating destination in Bandung, offering contemporary and fine art exhibitions, as well as music and dance performances within a beautifully landscaped area. Founded by Sunaryo, an artist from Banyumas, this compact art gallery has been attracting visitors for over 20 years. The space features various facilities such as a library, café, souvenir shop, residency cottage, and an amphitheater surrounded by nature.
I do not hold any credit to any of the artwork shown in this post / review. It ia merely an utmost admiration and appreciation to a few special arts that touched my imagination. This artspace is superbly mesmerizing. Didnt manage to visit Wot Batu due to time. I will come back!!!

different art pieces and exhibits in different rooms. i'd appreciate it more if there were english translations in the art descriptions. this art space is a bit far to go to but gojek is always reliable so it was fine! ☻ there's also a cafe in the area once you're done with the exhibits, you can just chill and appreciate the views. i love the greeneries in this art gallery. I would recommend it for those who like art. there's an entrance fee of IDR45,000.

the place is very cool, when ordering tickets there was no queue at all, came on a weekend and there were quite a lot of visitors but it was also orderly. htm nya 45k dan itu udah bisa masuk 4 tempat, in the first place, there are quite a lot of explanations about the characters, and in the second place, there are paintings and there is also "sejuta mata" where you can take photos inside for 1 minute and you have to be alone, the third one is there are also paintings and behind it there is a library, and the last one is there are paintings too, seru poll sih kalo emg yg bnr² suka art, btw tema nya pasti ganti² ya :)

Nestled in the expansive, open views of Dago Atas, Selasar Sunyaro Art Space offers a truly contemplative and serene escape from the bustle of Bandung. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is instantly calming, inviting visitors to slow down and immerse themselves in a unique blend of art and nature. One of the most striking aspects of Selasar Sunyaro is its seamless integration with the natural environment. The gallery doesn't just display art in nature; it feels like an organic extension of it. Even on a hot day, the pervasive tree shade provides a wonderfully cool atmosphere, making exploration a comfortable and delightful experience. This deep connection is immediately evident with the memorable "blue tree" that greets you upon entry, setting a captivating tone for what's inside. The blend of nature and art is masterful throughout the space. You'll find natural elements woven directly into the artworks, from integrated tree trunks forming part of installations to tree branches seemingly protruding directly from the walls. This organic approach extends to the gallery's design itself, which beautifully utilizes earthy colors and materials – think natural wood, clear glass, soothing greys, and warm browns, often punctuated by a surprising splash of red that adds a vibrant touch. The result is a space that feels deeply embedded in its surroundings. Selasar Sunyaro boasts an eclectic mix of installations, mixed media pieces, and paintings, reflecting the diverse talents of artists from Bandung and across Indonesia. The curation of the artworks is both thought-provoking and engaging, touching on a range of contemporary topics that invite reflection and discussion. With four distinct gallery spaces to explore, there's a rich variety of artistic expressions to discover. The staff at Selasar Sunyaro contribute significantly to the positive experience. Despite being primarily Bahasa speakers, they were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, going out of their way to explain the artworks, which was truly wonderful and appreciated. For those looking to extend their visit, a relaxing cafe and coffee space is also available, providing a pleasant spot to unwind and digest the artistic journey. I spent a very fulfilling two hours exploring Selasar Sunyaro and would highly recommend it to all art lovers. It's not just a gallery; it's an experience that nourishes the soul, offering a unique harmony between human creativity and the beauty of the natural world.

Selasar Sunaryo is an art space that combines nature and culture perfectly. This time, we’re visiting the 100th Sadali exhibition and the Revival Exhibition, featuring works created using aluminum plates as the main medium. Its location in the northern part of Dago adds a serene and refreshing vibe to the exhibition experience.

when it comes to annual art exhibition, selasar sunaryo art space is the best place to visit! 🖼️👩🏻‍🎨✨
Meisya P — Google review
I saw an exhibition of Sadali’s work during my visit. It was nice, but I’m not very into abstract art and don’t really understand it. The wall texts didn’t help either. Why did they have to be so pretentiously written? Isn’t the point of written explanations to help people better understand the art? “Ditampilkan 4 kecenderungan visual dari kekaryaa Sadali, yang menyentuh ihwal transendensi itu.” What does that even mean? Plus, they were riddled with typos, better editors are needed! 🤣 I guess this type of art just isn’t for me. But there were several pieces that I liked; I think the purple painting on the purple wall was pretty. And I liked the room where they projected a Sadali-style geometric filter of people in it onto a wall. My favorite artwork in the exhibition ended up being of me. How very narcissistic, but then again, I think people like art they can relate to, and I can relate to me.

Great architecture, great artwork, super cozy ambience. A nice art gallery located in suburban of Bandung, quite far from downtown. It costs 25k/person for admission. What i like the most about this gallery is it highlights about its openness architecture, and its green open space as well. There is also a cafe there, i think it's so-so, but i love the vibe. Calming and relaxing. Supposed to be five stars, but when i went there, only the main room was open for public. Kinda disappointed, but still a great-remarkable visit anyway😊

The Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Jawa Barat (Independence Monument of the People of West Java, Central Java, and Banten) is a large monument commemorating the fight for independence from Dutch colonials. The museum inside contains information about the battle and the history of Indonesia. It's a great place to hang out on weekends, but be prepared for a crowded and full market place on other days.
Monumen Perjuangan has recently undergone a facelift. I did appreciate the old version with its tall palm trees and the massive yellow pothos climbing up them. It was beautiful and peaceful as there were rarely anybody there during my walks in the late afternoon. Now, the renovation has succeeded in making it a lively third place where people gather to relax, lounge, and spend time with family and friends.
Hanny J — Google review
The monument itself is fenced off, and the surrounding area is not maintained and pretty filthy. However, I highly recommend coming here and walking down to Gedung Sate through the park. It's a pretty relaxing 15-20 mins walk that will reward you with nice views in the lively park full of locals hanging out. The park in contrast to the monument is very well maintained and beautiful, full of facilities and stuff to do.

Was visiting here in this afternoon. This place got so much potential, the building layout already cool enough tbh it's kinda remind me of monas. However beside the historic things they show us must be added more, the marketing and access should be more obvious. Marketing team should ensure that people know this place exists. Because this place is underrated, not everyone know this place. Even when I get there, the visitors are only me and a travel owner. I hope someday this place will gain it's fame🙏🏻🙏🏻

it is a grand monument to celebrate the heroic sacrifice made by the sundanese to liberate themselves from colonialist rule. it seems unfortune though that their offsprings lets them down by successfully ruining this place. the authority have done little to maintain this complex intact, and the people, well I don’t know how to describe it. so very sad...hope it can take a turn for the better in the future!

They have weekday and weekend package discount for family. Also you can rent kingdom outfit (50k for 25 mins) at the Sarae castle and take photos around the castle. A lot of fun to explore and taking photos with children and elderly. The place is elder friendly with shuttle car and wheelchair availability. Also staffs service here is outstanding!!

My first attraction in my trips north of Bandung. It’s a place mainly for photo taking. What I like about is the hanging bridge and for people with height phobia it may be a pain to cross it as it is at least more than 50m long. There are a small castle, colosseum, santorini theme buildings and other small Europe landmarks like Eiffel Tower and a small Sphinx. As we came very early, we dun have to wait long in taking our photos.

Such a lovely place for holiday, but the road to access the place is quite small and steep, not the best for travelling via cars. It has a reasonable price for the entry ticket (less than 100k per person), but the foods aren't that affordable. You should visit it if you're there only for the views and quality time

Definitely an icon, even though there ism't much to do. I recommend you to take off your socks before stepping onto the artificial grass field because it may still be wet if it rains the day before. But be careful because some area of the artificial grass turf can get pretty hot. The grass area is pretty big and I saw some kids playing chase and some families playing catch. This place is also the hub from where you can take a sightseeing bus to travel around Bandung. You can park your vehicles on the underground basement below this park.

One of big mosque in Bandung (or the biggest?) I'm not sure but alun alun in english means city square or townsquare, many activity are held there and many entertaining place are located there. The mosque is good, the playground also good, the courtyard also good. They surface the courtyard by artificial grass and it's safe for children. They really like it. Many road side food stall there but be careful many seller (especially toy seller) they urge us to buy their product by lowkey giving it to our children and our children cry for it to us. So before you enter the courtyard area, give soundings to your children, if anyone gives you toys or sausages or drinks, don't accept it because mama has to pay it.

It's a big public place where local people can bring all the family together. Before pandemic the place was used to have big crowds for relax and chill out after long strolling over the city. The location is on the center of Bandung city. Near to some tourist attraction like Asia Africa Monument, Braga Street, Savoy Homan Hotel and many more. The Alun-alun itself integrated with Masjid Agung Bandung, so muslim people also able to have daily prayer whilst on visit. On the back of Alun-alun there is halte for Bandung Tourist on the Bus or Bandros. Tourist can have a 45 minutes trip around the centre of Bandung city with a tour guide explains some history of Bandung city. The trip cost 20K/ person. I think it's one of easy way to catch some glimpse of Bandung city. There are toilets, basement canteen and basement parking available there. Evening around 15.30 to 17.00 is the best time to chill and relax in alun-alun Bandung. No need to worry for food and drink jajan cemilan around 😊

Space. Lively. 'Green'. Friendly locals. Cheap hawker stalls. And the most important: it is free. Easily the best place you can visit when you need a break. Check the weather first, though. Parking lot is underground. This is great outdoor time for your little ones or elderly. A small playground area located nearby. Sellers will frequently come to you to offer something, if you don't want their items, just refuse politely. I bought small rubber ball for IDR 10k and toy bird for 15k. Both have been my son's favorite until now.

Masjid Raya Al Jabbar is a grand and unique masterpiece built for worshipping Allah SWT, attracting people from various cities in Indonesia. The mosque boasts superb exterior and unique interior with a huge Lafadz Allah overhead. It offers a large parking lot, clean toilets, and wudhu places. However, the surrounding area is still barren and can get really hot at noon.
Masjid Raya Al Jabbar is an impressive and grand mosque with stunning architecture that showcases exquisite design and elegance. The spacious parking area and serene surroundings create a tranquil atmosphere that soothes the heart and soul. It is a magnificent place for worship and reflection, offering a peaceful and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Ariep J — Google review
During my recent trip to Bandung, I had the opportunity to visit the newly constructed Masjid Raya Al Jabbar, a grand mosque located in the Gedebage area. Also known as the “Floating Mosque”, this architectural marvel stands out not only for its religious significance but also for its futuristic and eco-friendly design. The mosque is situated beside a large artificial lake, creating a unique reflection of the mosque’s domes and minarets on the water—especially beautiful during sunset. Architecturally, the mosque combines modern Islamic geometry with Sundanese design elements, creating a peaceful yet awe-inspiring atmosphere. Its vast prayer hall, adorned with minimalist patterns and natural lighting, can accommodate tens of thousands of worshippers. Accessibility is excellent, with ample parking space, clean toilets, prayer facilities for women, and ramps for people with disabilities. Security and cleanliness were consistently well-maintained throughout my time there. However, as the mosque has recently become a popular tourist attraction, it can get very crowded on weekends and public holidays. I recommend visiting during weekdays or early in the morning for a quieter experience. In conclusion, Masjid Raya Al Jabbar is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of modern Islamic identity in Indonesia. It offers a tranquil and meaningful experience for both locals and visitors alike.
Muhamad A — Google review
Finally got the chance to visit Masjid Raya Al Jabbar, and wow, the architecture really does stand out, especially with that huge glass-dome look. Feels futuristic but still peaceful. The place is massive, but somehow still calming. What I liked most wasn’t just the building, but the atmosphere. It felt quiet and reflective even with people around. The view of the lake outside added a nice touch, kind of made me want to just sit there and zone out after prayer. If you’re into modern mosques with a bit of character, this one’s worth a visit at least once. Just make sure to come when the weather’s nice, the sun hits the glass beautifully.

Gedung Indonesia Menggugat, also known as 'Indonesia's Accusation,' is a historic court building in Bandung. It holds significance as the place where Sukarno delivered his defense statement in 1930, marking the beginning of the Nationalist movement that led to Indonesia's independence. Renovated in 2004 by the Bandung Heritage Society, it now features a library, exhibition room, and bookstore.

Gedung Merdeka, also known as the Independence Building, is a significant historical landmark in Bandung, Indonesia. It holds great cultural and historical importance as it was the venue for the Asia Africa Conference in 1955. The building now houses a free museum that features a reconstruction of the signing of the Bandung Declaration, with figures representing prominent heads of state present at the conference.
Its fun street at night. There are some street shows and cosplays. You can take pictures of them and pay Rp 5.000-10.000
Der S — Google review
I arrived here at night, and the place was bustling. From the road leading to the Asia and Africa Museum to the back streets, there was a constant buzz of activity. This area is also known as Paris van Java, the Paris of Java. The buildings, remnants of Dutch colonial heritage, exude historical significance. Numerous cafes dot the area, including "Filosofi Kopi," which I highly recommend. You will also find familiar names like Starbucks and a variety of street food vendors offering delights such as banana chocolate cheese, batagor, dumplings, and more. In front of the Merdeka Building (if I'm not mistaken), you'll encounter a plethora of costumed performers, ranging from ghosts to superheroes, with whom you can take photos for a voluntary donation (typically between 5,000 and 15,000 rupiah). Additionally, numerous street photographers offer to capture moments at popular spots like in front of Braga, charging 5,000 rupiah per photo, which they promptly transfer to your cellphone. There are also street vendors selling bracelets, flowers, and other trinkets also abound. In my opinion, this vibrant area is goodly enjoyable and is a must-visit at least once when in Bandung city.

The exhibits use interactive displays, digital installations, and historical artifacts to tell the story of Gedung Sate’s architecture, history, and cultural significance. The space is well-maintained, clean, and easy to navigate, making it enjoyable for all ages. It’s not a huge museum, but it’s thoughtfully curated and offers plenty of photo-worthy spots. Entrance is only 5k, and there’s also a short film about its history shown at certain times. A great stop if you’re interested in Bandung’s heritage or want a deeper appreciation for the building you’ve probably seen countless times from the outside.

A pretty mosque with a public square just beside it. It's filled with people and street vendors. Great opportunity to immerse myself in the lively atmosphere of the area, where local families hang out and play. The public facilities around the area are clean and well maintained too. Worth a visit if you're curious about how the local life is.

The location is very strategic, close to the main square, Asia Afrika street, and Braga street. You can park your car in the basement of the square, it's quite spacious, very close to the mosque. Quite a lot of people pray there, visitors to the square can easily reach it. There are several large rooms used for prayer, some of which are carpeted. Likewise the main room at the front with its pulpit. There are many ablution places and toilets. Maintenance, cleanliness and lighting can be improved further. Enjoy the photos.

Grand Mosque in the city of Bandung. We called also as Masjid Raya Bandung. Must visit place for performing your daily prayer. Located in the middle of the city, the people must be excited to go in to see what is interior inside. Dekat luar masjid got a few small stalls run by the hawker to make a living. Selling of noodles, bakso, pulut bakar are a few of it. With just having a lapangan, the stall is yours. Inside the mosque, we will a see huge square with half carpeted with the mat. The wudu area a bit watery and slippery due to water not flowing to its outlet. Having a good time here performing my last maghrib before Ramadan 2024 coming on tomorrow.

The place exudes a pleasant atmosphere, particularly when approached from Taman Kopo Indah 3 in the morning, revealing its cool surroundings.
(Translated by Google) The De Driekleur Building, or what is usually called the Three Colors Building, was built in 1938 by a Dutch architect named Albert Frederik Aalbers with the "Nieuw Bouwen" architectural style, which prioritizes simplicity of form with streamlined lines without ornaments. The name De Driekleur is said to refer to the Dutch flag prinsenvlag which consists of three colors. This building was first used as a family vacation home or villa-woonhuis met paviljoen. Then, this building was converted into the Japanese News Agency Domei. From here, Soekarno-Hatta's reading of the text of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia was spread throughout the world in two languages, namely Indonesian and English. Now the De DrieKleur building is used by BTPN bank and was restored in 2007 by BTPN bank.
