Two months ago I went to geblek pari. Geblek pari is located in Pronosutan, Kulon progo. The journey to geblek pari is very far from the city. Geblek pari is an authentic traditional eating place starting from the place and the food. The food here is very good, the menu has heavy meals, drinks, and market snacks such as sayur lodeh,klepon, wedang jahe, etc. The price is not expensive but not cheap either. The food is very good and the view is very beautiful there are vast rice fields and hills. There are also scooter rentals to get around in the rice field area and we can also buy traditional toys, and make batik. I gave a five rating because this place is suitable for enjoying the natural beauty in Yogyakarta, the place is clean, comfortable, and authentic.

Food is generally good. The highlight of this place is absolutely the vibes. You can ride scooter to go around the fields, and you can also just sit and look at the fields in the middle of the day since the place is so serene and relaxing.

Delicious, unpretentious food seved buffet style. View is just lovely and so peaceful. I was lucky to also meet some kittens!

Enjoy authentic Javanese home cooking while overlooking rice fields and mountains. The food is not particularly special. Visitors can also rent bicycles to explore the surroundings and even try a batik-making activity.

This is a very nice place to visit with family. The view and scenery was great, with amusing activity like cycling and riding electric bike/ scooter. The food is OK you get the chance to have a fresh dish served directly from the stove. The heavy dishes is self-served (dont forget what you ate) while the fried snacks such as tempe, bakwan, geblek, pisang and beverages you write it first in the order note. We really had a good time visiting geblek pari. They have pleanty of seating, even in the public holiday lunch time we can still have options of table. Very recommend to come in the morning and afternoon

This place can be called "warung makan" with a beautiful view. They're serving traditional home-cooked Indonesian food. Such as fried catfish, fried tilapia, chicken stew, tofu vegetables, several other types of vegetables, fried foods such as tofu, mendoan tempeh, fried bananas and others. In this place we can eat while looking at the expanse of green rice fields with a beautiful hill in the background. There is also an electric bicycle rental place for walking around the area.

This is my grandma place, every December when I visit my grandma I always come here by bike and relax on the edge of the rice fields 🍃♥️

If u enjoy padi field photography then come here noting much to see here except rent an electric bicycle to tour the fields would have been more better if they have organised tours to teach kids about padi field cultivation or a leg massage in this area as the view is beautiful

[Geblek Menoreh] I've been to many places in Yogyakarta but this place has always been my favourite place. Traditional dishes and drinks combined with magnificent view with a very affordable price is irreplaceable! For you, both a lover of family person. I recommend you to rent a bicycle or scooter to spend sunset with your beloved one! Definitely a good place to see the sun slowly settling down!

The food itself are pretty average. Not that good but not bad either. What seals the deals are the atmosphere instead! The view is magnificent, the rice paddy field are sprawned across the mountain range, you can also rent EV bike, electronic scooter, ATV, or even regular bike on hourly basis. What a fun experience. I had a blast here. Get here either in the early morning or late afternoon cuz it got sweltering hot in the area at midday. Put on your sunscreen, hat and sunglasses!

This place is best for its view. The humble cafe is perfect to slurp some drinks and eat simple meals, but nothing special in that department. You can rent bikes and use it to explore the places and its surrounding. Amazing rice paddies view and Menoreh hills, if you're lucky you can even see Merapi mountain. Come early to enjoy the place to yourself.

Meals with a view! Here you can enjoy sunset behind Menoreh hills with beautiful rice field around. Better come here by 5pm just before the sunset. Renting bikes, scooters, and atv while enjoying the sunset will be great experiences. We rented bikes with 15k / hour. For the meals, various menu of angkringan are available here. Sego kucing, various satay, gorengan, etc. All with affordable prices. Very worth to try.

Good ambience, fast service, nice tasty food and drink

So here is the thing. My office has a kind of forum group discussion held here today. I meant this morning. Overall it's good. The panorama is quite good, they have this fish pond. But probably they will need some kind of improvement. So this forum group discussion uses to need a microphone. As another agend was held here right behind the room we used, and they used another microphone... it's getting so noise each other. Probably that's the only thing that needs to be improved

Waitress not fully educated to serve, quite often miss your order if u want some details. The most annoying one they play u tube at big screen TV (smart TV) at day time with some sexual sceen and vulgar word on that song saying vagi**n* on day time when my son watching. Enough no more !!

Good place with with Joglo/Pendhopo style. You have both indoor and outdoor options. The food tastes good and the price is affordable. Unfortunately it has no options for vegetarian/vegan.

I had a wonderful experience at Omah Cantrik! The place offers excellent facilities that are both clean and comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic, well-prepared, and full of local flavors. One of the highlights was the VW tour provided by the venue. It was such a fun and unique way to explore the area, and surprisingly affordable too! I highly recommend Omah Cantrik for anyone looking for a great stay with tasty food and memorable experiences. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice place with traditional javanese ambiance. The owner is also the owner of raminten and hamzah batik. I tried mi lethek and kwetiau jawa, taste good, quite big portion. Various traditional drinks. They also sell old fashioned (jadul) snacks.

Laid-back rural restaurant of Kulonprogo, highly recommended if you wandering far to the west from the downtown of Yogyakarta

We tried the newest Bajaj Trip, cost 75k for 3 person and 30 minutes to ride around. They now only have 4 units so make sure to get reservation first. The driver will help you to take documentation with your phone. The omah cantrik itself has good Javanese atmosphere, food is ok, service is good.

A traditional Javanese resto on a hill overlooking the Menoreh hills and paddy fields. The foods and snacks are served buffet style, but the variety is limited. The prices are quite cheap. The visit was late in the morning, it was getting warm outside, so it's better to take refuge in the main Joglo.

It is easy access to get there. 30 minutes from city centre. Great finish line you go on bike. On spot, they have plenty choice of foods and beverages, even the BUFFET for you. The taste was okay 7 from 10. Don't worry, they have enough room for everybody. Next, the price is normal, it's kind of place that you are comfortable to bring the whole pack with no worries become the boss. 😁😁 I'm sorry I don't review the coffee, because that time, I had too much coffee all the way there.

Cozy and spacious place for hangout with family, but the foods and beverages are so so. This outdoor area is so hot when you come here it the mid day, but it is beautiful in the sunset time. We waited so long for the service in peak time, ~1hour to get the meals.

A new hangout place that's popular in Kulon Progo. especially in Nanggulan. Provides a variety of traditional culinary delights such as geblek, mendoan, singkong goreng and others. With its flagship menu of various types of coffee ... Coffe Jozzz is amazing. Their price is very cheap. Last time I went here, spent 30 thousand rupiah for 5 people was very enough. Of course this place is really good for hangout with friends and family. Recomended place pokok e ❤

It is a cozy place to enjoy soto with a village vibe. Soto is served in bathok and they also offer some popular local side dishes such as mendoan, sate telur, sate usus, sate ati, and bakwan.

Had a lovely lunch here. I personally not a fans of Soto but the Soto Ayam here is quite good. Worth the money! Student pocket friendly! The location is just right beside the main road. Freakin’ love the outdoor spot. An amazing view of rice field yet Menoreh. Such a blessing day! They even have prayer rooom! Just give it a try!

You can enjoy live music there. Also you can take a tour with old style car modifications (but I don’t know how to take the tour)

The food is good, a bit above than average. Fried banana is recommended. Geblek is good. Some others are a bit plain for my personal taste. The atmosphere, however, is a big great plus point to visit this place. I consider this is one among the largest in this area which can cater 100+ visitors easily. Parking space also huge up to the back yard. Recommended during sunrise and sunset

The best time to visit here is the evening, before the sunset.... Cozy atmosphere, but average foods.... They have a nice playground, so it's a plus for a family who bring their children....

For me, this place has a better view than other nearby restaurants or cafes since the scenery is directly straight to the mountain of Kaligesing. makes the vibes so refreshing. As for the food, it's ordinary but quite good taste. The price is very affordable with that kind of view and memorable ambiance, love! Recommended menus: kunir asem, french fries, pisang goreng, ayam goreng.

This the best out door restaurant so far we've visit. Yes it's still new. But the location, the site, taste of food, services and the price. Nowadays so many this kind of restaurant grew up in the west of Yogyakarta special province, not dominant again at the north side. This is recommended.

The food was okay... standard Joglo—rustic restaurant dishes came with packages according to reservations (the more people, the cheaper it gets). The service was no less than excellent... staff would be quick to listen, quick to serve, and quick to deliver foods when ordered. top notch service right there! :D The atmosphere would be the main offering point that differentiates with other rice field-themed restaurants; it's not necessarily huge, but surprisingly able to contain hundreds of people at one period of eating time... especially with a special period of time like Ramadan. it's wide, comfortable, cool and breezing, and well-maintained, also well-facilitated. that rustic, pedesaan feeling that you're looking for... though it is far away from downtown Yogyakarta, it is definitely worth a visit. make sure to bring a whole neighborhood here; they'll sure can take it!

Good food good mood! Javanese traditional ambience. Great taste with reasonable price. Belut and kutuk are the highlight dishes for me (since I rarely found those). The bakar madu was very tasty so i do recommend this! The fish are clean and neat cut too. Very comfortable and spacious, suitable for family or group gathering. Staffs are fast response and helpful. I was not happy with the food! I ordered iga bakar but look at that.. Looks like "makanan bekas" The way they put the spoon and fork, the white bowl also so dirty. I asked the waiter to give me new one, they did it anyway. It tasted not nice, not recommended at all!

The signature dish of this restaurant is obviously ayam kremes, also you can order tempe mendoan as a snack, for the drink i dont know what to recommend because i order es campur but the taste is standard nothing special. the service is excellent for me.

A popular seafood restaurant at the lively eastern section of Glagah Beach Lagoon. This restaurant was named after the owner, a creative female figure who has introduced a Cilacap-based fish dish 'brekecek' (I've tried it, but unfortunately it didn't taste right). After many years, I've come back here with my wife enjoying rice, crispy prawn, iced whole young coconut, spicy sprout cha, iced lemon, ... perfect. Customers may dine in on high chairs or carpets in a dining hall or a cool gazebo while watching passenger motorboats. Nearby are clean paid restrooms and shared musholla. Minus: no free WiFi.

Recommend place to find local restaurant on the south of Yogyakarta.Placed on glagah beach, Rumah Makan Yu Gun serve many local food, especially seafood. We can order calamari, shrimp, fishes, etc. For the beverages, we can order coco water, ice tea, orange, etc. The place very nice because on the side of beach, we can choose indoor or outdoor. We can enjoy the meal with beach view. In the front of restaurant there are some facilities like becak air, boat, and so on.

Kelapa muda (coconut) is perfect, food delicious but a little bit long waiting. Taste as you see in pictures, delicious no doubt...

Although the view is just what it is, but the premises offers difference atmosphere. Located in the slope of Menoreh Hill, the place is a perfect choice to gather with your family, friends or colleagues. The Javanese concept building, makes you feel in "The Real Java". A lot of menu, from heavy menu to light traditional snacks and many single origin coffee. Spacious parking also provided, A perfect place to relax and just enjoy the fresh air, away from your daily routines....

Great place to hangout with family, friends or even only by yourself. The place is quite, with woody interior & exterior. You'd definitely felt like eating in the middle of the woods. Clean air, sorrounded with greens. Journey to get into this place wasn't easy, because it is located on the Menoreh Hill, so the road kinda felt like a roller coaster. But it was worth the price because the scenery is breathtaking. They offers a lot kind of foods. Ranging from traditional foods (geblek, mendoan, pisgor, etc), drinks (wedang, kopi, jahe, etc) and others. Food is nice! Also they have free wifi (wifi suprisingly fast and has no password! VERY convenient, consider that you are in the middle of the hill with no provider signal). Talk about convenient, they also provide cashless payment. QRIS is provided. Definitely come here again someday!

Nicely done hangout place! good vibes, good atmosphere these guys have. One of some places I've visited in Kulonprogo, 10/10 would recommend. Will come again, absolutely. Groups or alone, no problem. I came here on my own, still enjoying the atmosphere here. Affordable prices, nice service and friendly crews, even when I came ALONE they still treat me like other groups (others came in groups when I got there). Great taste for traditional menu, ooh and also don't forget to try the coffee they served, it came from Menoreh Hills, and nicely done served. The weather was cloudy when we visited this place yesterday. Went there with 3 coworkers to have a lunch break after visiting a community in Gunung Kelir, a village near to it. Surrounded by big trees, the place is an absolute way to feel the nature. Good ambience with antique and old fashioned furniture, Kopi Pari is a traditional coffee shop located on the hills of Pegunungan Menoreh, Kulonprogo, about 1,5-2 hours driving a car from Yogyakarta city to the west direction. Getting there, you will see a beautiful scenery with trees and paddy fields along the way. So peaceful. Kopi Pari specialities’ are coffee. But because four of us are not coffee lovers, we didn’t order any of the specialities. We only ordered their traditional main course, which was so yummy. Rice, jangan ndeso (cassava leaves cooked with coconut milk), fried native chicken, and tempe mendoan (tempeh moderately fried with flour), and geblek (snack made of cassava flour). All were finished not more than 30 minutes! So yummy! The coffees themselves are coffees which planted around Pegunungan Menoreh, a mountain range in Kulonprogo district. There are many kinds of local coffee product they serve. You can even see how they brew the coffee by their baristas from their open kitchen. It such a good experience to visit this place. The price is also affordable. Range between 10-25K for the meals and 2-15K for drinks. If you are tired of work, want an escapade then visit and enjoy this place, feel the nature and you’ll be fresh and relieved.

Kedai Kopi Pari is a very nice place to have lunch and enjoy traditional vibes with your family and friend. They offered wide range of local foods (mendoan, geblek, etc) and beverages (wedang, dawet, etc) Occasionally during weekends and holidays they also served special snacks, meals, and drinks. The servers are really kind and polite. The price is really affordable.

Kedai Kopi Pari is a beautiful warung in the Kulon Progo Regency, close to Waduk Sermo. Opening hours from 09.00 till 23.00. Its up in the hills, some 35 km away from Yogyakarta. Mainly via new roads, prepare for steep climbings and stunning views just around the corner. Free parking, toilets available. Don't forget to cross the street to view the beautiful waterfalls.

There are some buttons on the table to call the waiters, so it makes easier for visitor if we need a help. Available QR payment or debit card. This place offers nice ambience and scenery while enjoying appetizing meals. The service was ok and the waiting for the food to be served was not that long. Perhaps, I visited the place for lunch on Ramadan while most people were still fasting. The price is reasonable and perfect for family setting. Take the second floor to enjoy the scenery. It'll still kinda hot but the breeze was nice up there. Would like to go there again and try different menu.

Alternative place to eat and meeting in Wates. Price might be a little bit expensive for local. The taste of food is so so but the beverage is good. I love the ambience,it is quite and good place to talk. Will come again to try other beverage and maybe their pizza.

Such a spacious place with great interior design (even the table and chair’s height are well designed and comfortable). The food was okay (but the pizza was remarkable tho), and the service was really nice. The downside: the slow wifi, not suitable for working, unless you bring your own pocket wifi.

A fancy cafe in town. I would say this place is probably more suitable for middle or higher classes in the area. It's 20k for a glass of hot tea hehe After all, they offer the aesthetic place and beautiful scenery which is quite interesting for the youngsters.

Just like it's name, this restaurant literally near of rice Paddy so it's access road is narrower than main road. They have mixed of Javanese and vintage (maybe 1980's) design and theme with a lot of old movie posters. It's unique dish is mainly chicken based and they also serve traditional beverage.

The road is good enough for car or mini bus, but it will give you a difficulties of you go there by big bus because 300 metre before the location is small road. Food : Good food with cheap price. The signatures food are delicious (you've to try these food when you go to this place). Most of the menu are traditional Javanese menu. For, vegan there are any kinds of green vegetables such as spinach, water spinach, Lalapan, etc. Place : The place is full of Antique decoration, ie. This place was under contraction when I was there. They serve fast. We choose the menu and they will cook them. They sell chicken, ducks, and fish. We can order to fried or bake them The taste is quite well. The table is not clean enough may be they are still build the place. I should clean it first before I use it. The other thing that bother us is the flies. They have put special glue to catch them but it is not enough. The price is not expensive...

I wouldn't say is not good, but honestly, the smoke really disturbing our meal time. There is no tobacco-free area, which is sad. The menus are great and cheap, its worth your money.

When you leave the high country west of Yogyakarta make sure your driver stops at De Atemos Resto. It’s a wonderful spot to have a meal and a break before you head back to your hotel. The food is traditional and delicious. Inexpensive and sure to please. There are 3 clean and comfortable venues to have your meal. The owner is on hand and he shared the restaurant’s history. Previously the land was owned by his grandmother Artemo, and on her passing the family renamed the venue in her name. Come and enjoy your time here. Cheers.

One of bakmi jawa seller in alun alun wates. Pak Sogol is quite famous. You can choose either bihun (thin rice vermicelli) or mie kuning (yellow noodle). And you can choose the cooking method either fried or boiled. Compare to the bakmi Jawa in Jogja city, the wates version dont use much sweet soy sauce, so for some people it may be too bland. But actually it is unique and delicious in its own way. Pak Sogol still use charcoal stove so it added unique sensation of the taste
