The museum is set in a dry dock, adorning an incredible architecture. Very kids friendly, with a huge playing area that also instructs, it offers a story within the story with a clandestine mouse that the kids have to hunt for. It was our second visit to the museum, which underwent an excellent renovation during the winter of 2024–spring 2025. We continue to love the place, as do our kids. It’s a spot where you can learn a great deal about Denmark’s maritime history and spend hours admiring the many boat models. We highly recommend a visit and suggest planning to spend 2–3 hours there.

The effect the museum had on us is that our new dreamjob is to design museums about on the surface boring subjects. Making ships this interesting, quite the accomplishment. It was very interactive, we learned a lot and we loved finding the hidden mice 🐭 (and we're grownups!) Discovered this museum thanks to the CPH card, and would recommend anyone to make a stop here, along with the castle right next to it. Great stuff!

Enjoyed our lunch here a little while back. Some nice local / traditional / Danish food - perfect for what these tourists wanted. We squeezed onto the small tables outside. The traffic passes literally by your feet in this narrow street but the cars are quite slow and it's a quiet street. It was nice to sit in the sun. The service was good and the food was yummy.

The food was great, we liked it very much but we had to wait a lot. We were patient first because there were a lot of people but we realized after 45 minutes of waiting that everybody around us get their order although they arrived later than us. I think that they forgot about us or messed up something since we got our food quickly after asking the nice staff about our order. Another problem was that we didn't get exactly what we have ordered (french fries instead of small potatoes) but by that time we were so hungry that we accepted it.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The place is very homey and relaxed, but customers are paying a quite high price, so I am not sure that is fair that you need to go to the cashier and place your order and cue in a line. I'm not sure how things work in Denmark, but if it's normal then it's okay. I just feel like they should take orders from the table instead of customers lining up. The food is on the good side. We went here for lunch after my brothers wedding. An amazing lunch of traditional Danish food. The owner Christian, his family and staff were brilliant ensuring a great time was had by all. A real hidden gem in Helsingor. Highly recommended.

Great location if your just doing a quick beer run, located just up the street from the trainstation. No matter what you're into, spirits, whine or beer, this place sure got you covered. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and explained a bit about the products and the inspiration behind it. We purchased some puzzles as gifts for friends and family and they were very happy to receive them. I would highly recommended dropping in to check out this cute local gem!
