The 14 best skiing in and around Dubai

We had an amazing time at Ski Dubai! It was our first visit, and we were a group of six, some of us have lived in Dubai for over 15 years but had never been until now. We planned our visit in advance and booked our tickets the night before to make sure everything was set. We also read other Google reviews, which helped us prepare the right clothing like bonnets, and leggings under pants so we wouldn’t feel too cold inside. We arrived around 3 PM to make the most of our time, and we ended up spending a good three hours enjoying the activities and taking lots of photos. The place is well-organized, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The whole area was clean, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to returning the gear. We availed one of the activity packages and got to try everything that was included we honestly forgot the names of the individual attractions, but each one was a lot of fun! It was such a great way to escape the intense summer heat outside and enjoy something completely different. After our snowy adventure, we capped the day off with a delicious meal nearby (we had Dim Sum!) a perfect way to end a memorable family day. Thank you, Ski Dubai, for the awesome experience! Highly recommended for both tourists and long-time Dubai residents who haven’t been yet.

Ski Dubai was a great experience. Located in the mall, it's easy to access and a good location. They give you gear like gloves, helmet and suits. It was slightly extra cold but the free hot chocolate warmed us. There were rides like the snow sledge, ziplining, tubing, zorbing chair lifts. Would not recommend the bumper cars at all as it was very small. There was face painting for free, a great gesture along with a magic show for kids. Suitable for all ages. Good place overall to spend 2 hours.

We had a great experience at Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates. It’s definitely worth going — the atmosphere is fun, the snow activities are exciting, and everything is well-organized. A unique experience right in the middle of Dubai that’s perfect for families, friends, or even a quick adventure. Highly recommended!

It's amazing to see such big ski inside a mall built in a desert! The price is expensive but it's worth for one time experience. For people who are not from colder region it is difficult to spend more than 2 hrs inside. Few suggestions: They can provide two layers of gloves so that it can protect the fingers from getting wet while playing with ice. Lockers are chargeable!! Most of the people will require locker. So it should be included in the package. If people require larger locker then charging can be justfiable. The mountain thriller ride actually does not happen on ice, instead it's on a mat. The equipment provided for the ride doesn't have any cushion below. So there's high chances of hurting your back. I had hit my back severely during the ride. Hoping some action will be taken for future people. Headgears or caps can be offered to the needed people along with jackets. It is difficult to withstand cold inside.

First time at Ski Dubai and my first time skiing ever! I received a voucher from friends for the Discovery Class, and it was a fantastic experience. The instructor was helpful and made it easy to get started, even for complete beginners like me. We were a group of 10, which wasn’t a big issue, but it did mean fewer turns than I would have liked, I wish we could have done more rounds. Still, it was great fun and a unique experience. Definitely recommended! They also provide all the equipment you need.

Of course it’s short (1 minute ride at best), ski lifts are slow and most people around don’t know how to ski or snowboard… But come on! Absolutely incredible to have this in the middle of the desert. Bring own gloves and socks and your visit will not be disappointing.

Mall of the Emirates is an amazing shopping destination — they truly have everything you could need, from top brands to great dining options. The mall is clean, well organised, and always a pleasant place to visit. The only thing missing is they have no activities for kids other than the snow world such as soft play or an activity place to keep them busy while you enjoy you’re shopping, but overall it’s still one of the best malls in Dubai and definitely worth a visit!

My one of the go to shopoing mall. I am very loyal to all Majid Al Futtaim companies. I can say I am one of their valued customer especially in this mall. Amd not to mention I always use my SHARE apps and I truly enjoy all the benefits of having that. I love this place because why not 😍🤗

The first thing that catches your eye is its breathtaking interior design — a blend of elegance, modern architecture, and spacious walkways that make the entire shopping experience feel grand and comfortable. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, from the decorative ceilings to the bright, well-lit interiors, creating an atmosphere that makes you want to explore for hours. One of the most convenient aspects of this mall is its well-organized parking. Whether you’re arriving by car or being dropped off, the signage is clear, spaces are plenty, and the entry/exit flow is smooth. On top of that, its direct connection to the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station is a big plus — you can literally step off the train and straight into the mall, making it hassle-free for both tourists and residents. During my visit, I also stopped by the Apple Store inside the mall with the intention of buying an Apple Watch for my sister. The store had many staff members present, but surprisingly, no one approached me for quite some time. I waited for several minutes, looking around and expecting assistance. Finally, a staff member came over and helped me through the purchasing process. While I did manage to get what I needed, I must say the service at this Apple Store did not meet my expectations. With such a reputed brand, I expected a more proactive and welcoming approach to customers. Overall, Mall of the Emirates remains a must-visit for its stunning interiors, excellent facilities, easy metro access, and wide range of shopping options. However, if you’re visiting specific stores like the Apple Store, your experience may vary depending on the staff service at that particular outlet.

It’s a huge mall with easy metro access and fav shopping destination for electronics, top clothing brands, food court. Main highlight is skii. I love the architecture and interior.

One of the oldest malls in UAE, but still a very busy one 😁 parking can be a hassle, but manageable if you don't come during rush hours. Metro is conveniently connected. You can find anything, from a high end brands, to bank branches and of course, carrefour. I personally think it is one of the best carrefour in the chain, considering the variety of products and being the most digitalised at the moment ✨️

Car parking is superbly arranged, and there's direct access from the metro, making it very convenient. Inside, you'll find a large food court, cinema screens, and plenty of international brands. One impressive feature is the instant cleaning service—staff are always on top of keeping the space spotless. For easy navigation, the mall has interactive systems and even QR code scanning options, so you can navigate from your phone with ease. Overall, a top-class mall experience—highly recommended for shopping, dining, and leisure.

A nice big mall thats metro accessible with a lot of stores. It’s not as big and nice as Dubai mall but it’s still not bad. One thing I didn’t like about the mall was that there weren’t a lot of better end food options.

A large shopping mall with a huge number of shops from standard to very luxurious and top brands. Plenty of good cafes and restaurants for a break. Very clean, comfortable and well laid out toilets. Free parking for Mirdif shopping mall visitors.

My favorite mall in Dubai! I never thought shopping could be this comfortable and enjoyable. The mix of brands is perfect, the staff are always friendly, and everything is spotless- you can tell how well the place is cared for. They always have promition especially bath and body. You cant be bored while shopping. Have for child to play. A nice cinema. Fast food resto and coffee shop. A lot of make up stores. My favorite was carrefour cheap price has food court inside vegetable are good.

I recently visited TGI Friday’s and was really disappointed with my experience. The service was extremely slow—it felt like forever before my food finally arrived. To make it worse, when my pasta was served, it was cold. For a restaurant of this standard, I expected much better in terms of both service and food quality. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet my expectations at all.

We dined in and really enjoyed the food! Everything was flavorful, served hot, and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and accommodating too. Great spot for casual dining inside Dubai Mall.

I am writing to raise serious concerns about the customer service at New Westzone Supermarket Barsha regarding the WhatsApp ordering and delivery services. As I am currently pregnant, I am unable to walk long distances to purchase groceries in person, making online orders and WhatsApp communication essential for me. However, my experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I have often had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to receive a response to my messages, and it feels as though I need to plead for basic assistance. To make matters worse, I recently discovered that the store manager had blocked my number, preventing my messages from reaching the store. After calling to inquire why my messages were not going through, they acknowledged that my number had indeed been blocked and unblocked it upon request. This is unacceptable, as blocking a customer’s number directly prevents them from accessing essential services. I understand that your team may be busy, but if WhatsApp ordering and delivery are offered as customer services, they need to be reliable. I respectfully request that you address this matter with the team to ensure that customers are responded to promptly and fairly. Thank you for your attention, and I hope to see improvements moving forward.

I recently purchased shrimp from New West Zone Market in Al Barsha and was very impressed with both the product quality and customer service. The shrimp were extremely fresh and of the best quality I’ve found in the area. They had a clean smell, firm texture, and were clearly handled with care. What made the experience even better was that the staff offered to clean the shrimp for free, which saved me a lot of time and effort at home. They did a thorough job, and I really appreciated the extra service. It’s rare to find such attention to detail in many markets. On top of that, one of the friendly staff members kindly shared a simple and delicious recipe for cooking the shrimp. They explained how to marinate and prepare them for a perfect, flavorful dish. It was really helpful and added a personal touch to the shopping experience. Overall, I highly recommend New West Zone Market Al Barsha for anyone looking for fresh seafood and excellent service. I will definitely be returning for more. The quality, cleanliness, and helpful attitude of the staff truly make this market stand out.

Good place and excellent dishes 'n' beverages. Tarifs are reasonable and placed adjacent to Ski Dubai with good views. Request management to concentrate on seating arrangements since thoughtful relocation may enhance further privacy of guests and can utilize the current setup's idle space. My overall impression is at par with world-class standards with rich quality and taste of food where chefs are specially appreciated.

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience — not once, but *twice* — in your butchery section, all because of one staff member who seems to follow his *own* rules. The first time, I asked for a pork knuckle to be cut for 8 sliced. He flat-out said **“NO”** — claiming it was too hard to cut because it's a knuckle. *Excuse me?* That makes no sense. If it’s not frozen, totally yes i can understand but you’re using a machine specifically meant for this purpose, then what’s the problem? It’s not a difficult request. I’ve had other butchers do it with no issue at all. Then came the second incident. I was looking for pork belly, but it was out of stock. No problem — I picked another cut and simply asked for it to be cubed. Once again, he refused. He said *he decides* what can and can't be done. Seriously?! Since when does a butcher get to decide for the customer? That Filipino guy with the tattoo in the butchery section is making up his own rules like he owns the place. Is this really how you train your staff? To dismiss customers and act like they’re doing us a favor? We are paying customers. This is absolutely unacceptable. I highly doubt that I’m not the only one who’s been treated this way. It’s unfair, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful.

I highly recommend dining in this restaurant as they will give you properly requested seats and food choices that will definitely meet your needs. Staff were so nice and very accommodating. We requested to be seated in a non-smoking area from the front desk, ANNE, and she gave us the seats right in front of Skidubai, perfect view for dining. BORJ have taken cared of our orders and made very good suggestions as we have requested for something different which we can’t find from others. VEV on the other hand did a great job for suggesting us a not so sweet dessert and made sure it will arrive to us in less than 10 minutes. And upon leaving the restaurant, BORJ and VEV exceeded their customer service skills by inviting us to come back on the days when they have such nice party / package offers. Much appreciated!!! 😉 Great value also specially if you have entertainer. Well, the place is cozy but the price is just right. 👍🏼

West Zone, it is, as the name implies WEST, if you don't get it, forget about it. This is my best shopping point of all time, I always found all I needed right inside here. See for yourself with the photos attached. I took my time to getting those shots late hour of Friday.

Honestly 10/10 mall for the aesthetics, I loved the vibes so much 🥹 but the mall is sadly pretty dead :’) The souk was amazing and it’s really photogenic! Very peaceful too, for the days we don’t want all the rush of Dubai mall 😂 The food court doesn’t have many options yet 🥲 hope they add more!

To be honest, it is a nice mall. The atmosphere is full of Egyptian elements and it’s good for taking pictures inside. You can feel here the flow of people is not too large and some shops have been already closed. And the layout of shop can also be better, one area is mixed with food and clothes, a little strange. Transportation is convenient, just close to Healthcare City metro station. Here it’s the famous place for VFS visa, but hope here it will be popular.

Wafi Mall is a beautiful mall with stunning Egyptian-inspired architecture. It’s clean, not too crowded, and has a good mix of shops, cafes, and restaurants. There’s also a big Carrefour, Vox Cinema, and strong free Wi-Fi. A great place to relax and explore!

It used to host premium and unique stores, but now many shops feel generic and seem placed just to fill space. • Complicated access: Reaching the mall is confusing due to unclear entrances and exits. Even Google Maps isn’t fully updated with nearby street names and signage, which can be frustrating—especially for non-residents.

Had been here to watch a movie recently. The experience with vox was incredible as usual but what should have been a great experience turned out to be terrible night mare to get out of the mall. Not being frequent visitor and unaware of the fact that they usually close some access after midnight to parking lot was a big shocker. It felt as if we were locked up inside the mall at 2 am early morning. Not sure why but many exits were closed infact the doors were closed. The lifts to the basement level 2 weren't working and we were left wondering to find our way out to the parking lot. No sign boards in place nor securities or anyone to atleast inform the vox cinemas customers to look for the way out. And when we found one, we were then looking for the door which could open so that we could access our car parked in basement 2. Anyhow after some struggle and some walking we finally made it out alive. Terrible experience. Dear team management its understandable that there is work going on at night in the mall but kindly put sign boards, if not let the securities or anyone responsible notify people so that they dont end up being lost. Could easily be documented and reported as safety violation. Thank you.

I ordered breakfast from this restaurant through noon food and it just stressed me out! 1. The delivery was delayed. 2 they didnt follow the note for instruction on how i want the egg cooked 3. The avocado is black ofcourse its delivered late what can i expect. And frustratingly i cant event get a full refund of this in noon. Wasted money of food i didnt eat and added stress, missed breakfast and just like that 36dhs for nothing.

I also observed that they maintain loyal customer relationships, and address their customer by their first name. Consistently perfect!! EK have always been early with my orders, they always follow the instructions in the notes, portion sizes are very good and I think one time they still made my order after they just closed, they also have gifted me one of their booster juices I really appreciated! I’ve recommended to my friends and will always order from here :)

Amazing concept!! Quick bite before going back to work

I had the lamb and salmon which were amazing. Tbe lamb was extremely juicy and tender and the salmon was amazing with the teriyaki sauce. The server, Arun, is also an extremely delightful person to chat with and he has great expertise in the menu. 10/10 will be returning and this should be on your bucket list.

Tickets cost 200 aed for 2 persons, hot chocolate and 2 popcorn’s included. At the entrance to the snow cinema they will give you jacket, gloves and boots. Inside the snow cinema is really cold. At the beginning you don’t really feel the cold, however by the end of the movie you would feel cold. There is blanket and heater nearby each sofa. Overall experience was very nice I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing experience all together. Dubai has achieved the un-achievable. You can literally book a movie ticket on a very hot sunny day and then relax in a very chilled environment. The temperature of snow cinema is around -4 degrees. Beverages and blankets are provided. There is a QR code right next to your place where you are seated , through which you can scan and order any of the required additional beverages. They have also recently launched an in-seat delivery service. For additional comfort , heaters are placed in all of the seated areas. Staff members were very friendly. All in all , it was a wonderful experience!!

We were looking for a great way to spend EID and to escape the summer heat. So happy to experience their Snow cinema. Staff are friendly and quick service. Great value for money. The package includes hot chocolate, popcorn, Gloves, jackets, shoes and snow hat. They have also their own food menu with QR code. They were fully booked for the holiday and luckily we watched the new Top gun movie. Excellent story and enjoyed the whole experience. Come dressed for winter and I highly recommend it for summer activities!

Amazing! I love the concept! Very cute, staff were nice and attentive. My boyfriend and I got a chalet and it was a fun cozy date. The warmers of the chalet do help. The difference with the regular seats, I believe is for starters the warmers on the ceiling and then it could probably be the attention you get, you also get a meal included and a hot chocolate. Try the nachos! The longer you stay there, the colder it gets so I recommend coming prepared for cold, specially If on regular seats.

It is definitely a great experience !!! We went with the kids and their grandparents. It was a little cold for them but the staff was very helpful and made the experience unforgettable!!! They would check on the kids and make sure the headphone are comfortable and connected properly. The popcorn and hot chocolate are included in the ticket price! The jackets and shoes are fresh and comfortable!!! The blankets cozy and soft!!! Supercomfortable you dont feel like leaving and sit through until the end of the credits just to get the extra 10min of the experience!!! You get to play with the snow and experience the cold!!! Superb ambience and cannot thank the staff enough for making it all the more fun! Very courteous and extremely humble!

One of the most offbeat movie experiences you could have is the Snow Cinemas. We went in with no expectations and were amazed at every step, beyond belief. It starts with reporting atleast 20 minutes prior to put on our personal winter gear that includes a coat, socks, shows, gloves and a beanie. Once we reach the movie zone in the winter wonderland, we are cozily tucked into the warm rugs (with a heater in front) in the seats of our choice and handed our respective headphones to enjoy the movie. There is a Disney short film that plays before the movie which is again an added bonus and while you are settling in, you are again handed some warm hot chocolate and popcorn of preferred flavour (salted/caramel/mixed). We went to watch the movie Elemental and all in all it was one of the most special experiences we have had in recent times. HIGHLY recommend if you don't have it on your list already!

It never fails to impress, being on an indoor ski slope where it's 110° (F) outside and sitting at a cafe situated halfway up the slope. I am rarely impressed with the service, however. It's not bad, nobody's outright rude, but small things stand out. From the look on the cashier's face to the fact that when I say "thank you" they just stay quiet. I almost want to ask, are you mad? Are you tired? Is it just the monotony of 100s of customers day in and day out, repeating the same phrases (which I do get to a certain extent)? I dunno. Still, for what it is, it's pretty cool!

A perfect spot in the middle of Ski Dubai. Their hot chocolate is so delicious. They have quite a range of quick bites if you feel hungry after all the rides and skiing.

I just hoped the hot chocolate was a bit better than this!

Not that great, customer service is bad (the guy got my order wrong and when I told him he scuffed at me...), I came here a few years back now they charge even more for less hot chocolate, management should rethink their strategy... So far disappointing compared to what it was.

Excellent cafe and restraunt.... gives u tge opportunity to do noth business and pleasure by overlooking the ski dubai Left my kids to play safely while I overlooked their playing from my window seat at the cafe... made both me and them comfortable .. I got a chance to do work while they played and new I wad close by And when they got hungry... which kids tend to dp every othet hour 😎 I was 1mnt away... we ate at the restaurant and when we were done they were able to go back and play
