Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Efteling is a massive amusement park located in Brabant, south of Amsterdam Zuid. It covers 1000 hectares and is three times larger than New York's Central Park, making it one of the largest in Europe. The park features fairytale-themed rides, wooden roller coasters, and a captivating water fountain and light show.
Such a fun park! We were a couple with 4 kids, ages 4 to 16, and we had a great time. We arrived right when the park opened — the parking lot was already quite full — and we stayed until the very end. We managed to experience everything, some rides even more than once. In my opinion, there’s no real need for two days, unless you want to take it slow and relaxed. There are plenty of attractions for both younger and older kids. Of course, there are more exciting rides for kids over 120 cm, and those usually have slightly longer lines. The longest we waited was about 40 minutes, which is quite reasonable for a summer day — some rides had no line at all. The rides are really well-designed and a lot of fun. The whole park is well-organized, with great atmosphere and music all around. There are also shows throughout the park, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for them. We randomly came across one horse show that was beautiful and impressive. At the end of the day, there’s a fountain and water show with music and lights — a great way to finish. We left exhausted but happy — totally worth it!

I remember this being one of the happiest day of my life so far. Where my inner child was allowed to experience joy and excitement with no limitations. There are various different rides ranging from easy-going to adventure seeking, so different strokes for different folks. It's very family friendly and easily accessible to all. On the day we went, there were a lot of kids, babies, toddlers and disabled persons. It accommodates all family sizes. I went with my partner and we noticed that there were some rides that were only for single riders, so you can definitely experience this solo. In addition to the rides, it's magical to walk around and take in the atmosphere and Fairytale details of the park. I really appreciated the fact we didn't stand too long in the lines for food and the rides. Also a big shout out to the staff who are simply the best (to quote Tina Turner). Thank you Efteling!
Wandile N — Google review
Probably the best theme park i've ever been to. The attractions are really immersive and they have something for all ages. They also have some really fun shows happening all over the park. On top of that, i thought all the food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Since we went on a weekday at the end of September, the wait times were never more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend using their app which has an interactive map of the park where you can view the live waiting indicators and show times.
S V — Google review
Even on a Wednesday, there were still lots of people! The popular rides had a 20–30 minute wait. Some of the facilities looked a bit old and even a little creepy, but the merry-go-round was very special and really cool.
Bebe B — Google review
Efteling is a stunning themepark full of magic and spectacle! It’s perfect for bringing children or honestly any family member- I’m not joking your grandma would love this! Every attraction is themed, detailed and a cared for. Nothing is without consideration, the green spaces, the story telling - even the bins are a delight (iykyk). Every staff member you encounter will be lovely- every ride operation will be fast but efficient. One day is simply not enough to see and experience everything as there is so much to do but one day at Efteling will fill your heart for a year if you have to travel as far as I did for the experience!
Sam E — Google review
This park is a marvellous environment for entertainment to enjoy with both family and friends. It offers a diverse and thrilling experience which takes you into the heart of European cultural heritage, with, I must insist, a blend of magical realism at its core. It is like those fairytale films. Not to mention the splendid natural features of the park; and modern games you can play as much as you like individually, or in groups. All necessary facilities are available everywhere. Tickets are all inclusive; in short, you only pay for entrance. Car parks are abundant. We arrived at 11:00 AM and left at around 5:00 PM in the afternoon. Note that you need at least an entire day to have a good experience, don’t rush take your time especially in the summer! Staff, including those doing the shows, are highly talented and professional, in addition to the local people, I must stress, are the nicest I have ever seen, honestly. Had a great experience. Will definitely revisit Efteling again in the future.
Q.K . — Google review
Great theme park some of the theming is a little strange like the man with the long neck and the character bins that suck rubbish out of your hands. Its themed on fairytales. The rides are good some are quite short but still really well themed. Food and drink is also good and not overpriced like uk themeparks.
Aaron K — Google review
What an enchanting Theme park. We visited this park on a Tuesday and although the park felt busy it didn't seem to be making the queues for the ride too long. I think the longest we waited was 35 minutes, which I feel is acceptable. Their App worked well in helping to plan our day as it kept the queue times updated regularly and had a nice feature to notify you when a queue went below a certain time of your choosing. It can also tell you how far you are from the ride you've selected and directs you there too. It also provides you with lots of extra information about the rides and any restrictions that may be in place. For example heights and health limitations. The theming of this park's outdoor areas was good and the rides were their queue were good also. We managed to ride every ride that my kids were allowed to ride (due to their height 113cm and 123cm) and could have easily finished off all the rides available if we wanted to. We arrived at the gate opening and got in with no waiting and left at about 16:00 very happy with our time. If the kids weren't overtired we would have loved to have stayed longer. However, now we have an excuse to return to enjoy everything this park has to offer once the kids are a little taller.

Wandelbos is a delightful destination for families and nature lovers alike. Nestled near the enchanting De Zeven Geitjes, it offers a perfect blend of outdoor activities and serene walks. As you stroll through its picturesque paths, keep an eye out for charming ground squirrels and various bird species that call this place home. The park features playgrounds, expansive fields, a tranquil pond, and even a petting zoo to delight younger visitors.

it is a nice park to walk through. quite small to be considered a forest. it connects directly to the Warande, which is a much nicer forest. Overall a pleasant walk. What did put me off is the kangaroo in the cage. Just, why?

There is a zoo, a large renovated playground and a beautiful pond! (Original) Mooi stuk (stads)bos om rond te wandelen. De grote paden door het bos zijn verhard waardoor je er fijn kunt skeeleren. (Translated by Google) Really enjoy it here. This was the 2 time I came here. I saw plenty of ground squirrels again. So cute! The park itself is not too big. It's a pity that I saw a lot of waste this time, especially in the trash bins. The restaurant nearby, where you could have a drink and lunch, is unfortunately closed. (Original) Blijft echt genieten hier.

(Translated by Google) Nice place for walking. There are many birds to spot and many ground squirrels, which is unique in the Netherlands. There is a playground, a playing field, a large pond and a petting zoo. (Original) Fijne plek om te wandelen. The Loonse and Drunense Duinen National Park, also known as the Brabant Sahara, is a vast natural area located between Tilburg and Den Bosch. Spanning over 3,500 hectares, it features sand dunes, forests, and heathland. This unique landscape allows visitors to witness natural sand drifts, making it one of the last places in Europe where this phenomenon occurs. The park offers numerous hiking and cycling paths for outdoor enthusiasts to explore.
A magical and picturesque place. With wonderful lakes and yellow drone sand. A great place to cool off for a while on a hot day.

Beautiful and wonderful place to enjoy a sunny day and go back to nature. Multiple landscapes: sand dune, heide field, forest and lake. There are different routes for dog-walk, horse riding or biking
Ho T — Google review
Very nice area! Fantastic landscape. Rubber boots for children are recommended. You can do your own tours, without any hiking trails, which is very cool. There are also some restaurants near by.
Öht — Google review
Lovely inland Dunes, great for dog walking, horse riding, or just children digging a hole, climbing a tree or building a den from dead branches.
Jonathan R — Google review
Beautiful reserve with lovely views, wildlife and fantastic cycle paths. There is a dedicated mountain bike track which is 26km long as well as multiple other walking and cycling routes. There are lakes, areas of sand dunes and paths through a large area of forest. The area has some interesting history and monuments and is a nice place for families and people of all ages.
Tim J — Google review
Sand, forest and quiet! Especially if you pass the areas where dogs can run free. Take a picknick blanket along, and enjoy a spot with a bit of view, on top of a sand dune. Realize that the sand is from the ice age times, impressive Dutch landscape! (Parking is easy at a few locations, like Bosch en Duin)

There are a lot of things to do in this Nature Reserve, you can do cycling , horse back riding, hiking, mountain biking and so on. We went there for a short hike, but you actually have 7 different routes to choose from depending on your preference. After the hiking, you can always sit and have some refreshment drinks in Bosch en Duin

The Hasseltse Kapel, nestled behind the hotel and a short distance from a bustling road, is an idyllic and charming spot enveloped by a small park. This picturesque location allows visitors to stroll around and admire the historic building, which happens to be the oldest in Tilburg. On top of that, its doors are often open for exploration, providing glimpses into its interior.
A quaint and pretty chapel just outside of the city. Definitely worth visiting since it's the oldest building in Tilburg. Has a peaceful garden too. A lovely place to switch off for a few minutes.
Kayleigh M — Google review
Little chapel/church with a rich history. On sunday's there is even a candy fair/market. Nice place for a fast visit and let the kids pick some candy.
Jurgen H — Google review
Hidden behind the hotel, just a few meters from a noisy road. Very picturesque place surrounded by a small park. You can walk around and see the building (the oldest in Tilburg) from every side, and when I visited the place on Saturday afternoon, the door was open, no one was around, so you could also see the interior. Nice place to explore!

Great space to go out on dates, team outing, hanging out with friends etc. They have loads of activities, BBQ, go carting, pins, laser tags etc. the environment is amazing the stuff is helpful and friendly, the food and drinks menu is very good

Great playground to come with kids. Lots to see and do. Our 7yr Grandaughter loved it. Good food. Friendly helpful staff, as we only speak English, Nice clean toilets. (7th July 2025)
Toni P — Google review
There’s no AC, and we were sweating our balls off trying to play bowling. Service was horrible. We pressed the service button and it didn’t work. So we walked to the bar and order drinks. And when I asked for ice they looked at me like I was from a different planet. The best place to shoot a movie of Quentin Tarantino.
Claudia C — Google review
We played laser tag, the game was fun, but the host ruined the experience. He snapped at us from the start for standing in the “wrong” spot, even though we were where the other team was. He spoke to us rudely. His attitude toward the other team was clearly different. The only positive was the friendly girl at the front desk. But still won’t come again
Zinaida L — Google review
The go-karting was a lot of fun with a cool track, but the karts didn't match the person driving them. This made it a bit of a puzzle to figure out who had the fastest lap, even though we paid close attention to which number we got. The bowling alley was very outdated. The rail for the kids (so they don't throw into the gutter) had to be manually pulled up and was half-missing. The bowling balls weren't completely undamaged either, and they didn't all roll smoothly. But we had fun. The parking lot is spacious
T&J — Google review
We did the karting, escape room and Lazer tag here. Karting and Lazer tag were fun! The escape room was pretty dirty, smelly and uninspired though.
Oliver — Google review
Great place, people are nice and the activities are amazing, especially the new and improved go cart track
Kevin H — Google review
It wasn't the first time I visited this place. Very pleasant, polite staff. Bowling goes smoothly. There is a special button to call staff in case of a problem or to order food or drink. One small minus is the lack of prices on the menu.

Cultuurfabriek Hall of Fame is a versatile establishment that serves as both a concert venue and an indoor skate park. It offers a small stage with ample seating for hundreds of people, and attendees are advised to bring earplugs due to the loud nature of concerts. The facility boasts an on-site bar, as well as a separate one located just outside. Lockers are conveniently available at the entrance for storing personal belongings.
It was amazing! So so so fun! I went to a concert of Sera and I even got to meet her and take selfies it was amazing. The drinks there were cheap and overall experience was amazing. The people working there were so sweet! Best experience ever.

It's full of graffiti and dirt but I believe it's nice furring concerts. Also maaaany caffees/restaurants around, near metro station and center.
Amina M — Google review
Interesting small place, cool alternative for 013, seemed to be mostly for alternative crowd. The main concertroom, with the low podium can provide intimate concerts. When we went there was also music in the lobby area, which was cool! You can park next door, but the parking is very small.
David — Google review
Small stage that takes a couple of hundred people, earplugs might be useful as it can get loud during concerts. There's a bar inside and another just outside. Lockers are available at the entrance. Visited during Roadburn where it was PIN only (no cash).
Eanna C — Google review
Perfect place to go to a concert or just meeting with friends. Greatly organized infrastructure both inside and outside. Polite and willing to help staff. Super bar. Convenient lockers for visitors' belongings. And one more significant advantage: the place is located really close to the train station (10 minutes by foot). Looking forward to be back!

Amusement park
Playland Beekse Bergen is a fantastic destination for families with kids, offering a wide range of attractions to keep children entertained. Located next to the Safari park, it features mini-golf, go-karts, trampolines, water rides and more. The play land is like a combination of a playground, theme park and beach with various playgrounds for different ages and buggy car riding. Additionally, there's a large beach by the lake where families can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Nice playground with a lot of interesting activities for the kids. The kids had a lot of fun on the slides and the pédalo. You can bring your own food and drinks into the park. Makes it an interesting place to have a (birthday) party. The toilets were very clean. I would recommend this place to both adults (for the beach and the slides :) ) and kids.
Verwiyni V — Google review
Speelland, which is part of Beekse Bergen, was a really nice surprise. It’s a mix of outdoor and indoor play areas for younger kids, and the location by the water makes it even more beautiful. There are boats, little trains, trampolines, swings, and lots of space for the kids to run around and just be kids. The beach area has a huge playground, which was already great on its own. Then we checked out the indoor part, and to be honest, we were expecting it to be stuffy and too warm, like in some of those indoor places where you feel like you're melting the moment you walk in. But this one was actually super comfortable. The ceiling is high, the ventilation is great, and the temperature was just right. It wasn’t cold or hot, just a really nice environment to be in. Inside, they’ve got all kinds of fun things for kids to do—climbing, sliding, bouncing, exploring. Everything was clean and safe, which gave us peace of mind. There’s also a restaurant and a big seating area where parents can sit back, have something to eat or drink, and still keep an eye on the kids. We did think the whole place would be a bit bigger, both inside and outside, but that didn’t really take away from the experience. The kids were happy, we were relaxed, and we ended up staying for around three hours, which flew by. All in all, it was a really good visit, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone with young children.
Alwi S — Google review
Beekse Bergen's play land is a fantastic place for families with kids to spend a fun-filled day. There are plenty of attractions to keep kids of all ages entertained, from mini-golf and go-karts to trampolines and water rides. The mini-golf course is well-designed and offers a variety of challenging holes that are suitable for both kids and adults. The trampolines are another highlight of the play land. They are well-maintained and offer a safe and fun way for kids to burn off some energy. There are also plenty of other attractions, that provide even more opportunities for kids to play and explore. One of the best parts of the play land is the water rides. These are great for hot summer days and provide a refreshing break from all the other activities. Overall, Beekse Bergen's play land is an impressive and well-maintained facility that provides a great day out for families with kids. There is something for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and safe. I highly recommend a visit to Beekse Bergen's play land for anyone looking for a fun and exciting day out with the kids.
Tarintata — Google review
We took our children (both under 10) for a day visit, and we were pleasantly surprised. Reasonably priced and lots of activities for the kids. There is a recently added indoor play centre with a snack bar. All facilities were clean and in good condition. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, which made a huge difference. Plenty of areas of shade and the beach sand was very clean. Highly recommended location for a day out with the family.

De Bibliotheek LocHal, located behind the Tilburg train station, has been transformed into a vibrant community space. It offers more than just books and a coffee shop; visitors can explore various labs to stimulate their senses, contemplate the city's future, or simply relax with a good read. The building was recognized as the Building of the Year in 2019 and ranked as the 2nd Best Library in the World.
Love this library. It is very spacious, has many study rooms/cabins and desks to study. You can reserve the rooms ahead of time. Free wifi information is provided when I reserved the study room. Restrooms, water stations, cafe are available.
Erina B — Google review
It's located not far from train station. Walkable distance. From outside I can never guessed what is this building or what it looks like inside. It's a Library in old warehouse/space from the train company so it's cool inside. Very high ceilings and beautiful. There is small cafe to chilled, nice drink and small eat. It's good place to sit, not expensive. There are 3-4 floors , has big space for event, meetings to hold. It's library with many seating area, also has individual small room if you need to concentrate on reading, studying. For books, I think mostly they're dutch books. But I think there are also English books too. I'm not sure about how to lend the books here but I guess you have to be member (with fee) but if you just want to chilled, walk around or read any books there, it's free. Also have computers and wifi that you can use for free too. I see many students there , studying, make sense for Tilburg university nearby. One corner is kind of small museum of this historical building , cool things. Also free toilet to use. It's a library so supposed to be quiet place buy not always, when we were there , there are dance events 💃🕺
Onsiri N — Google review
Such a large building involving the most spacious library I’ve ever seen. It feels quite peaceful to be studying there, and the large interior atmosphere indeed affects the experience in a unique way. The interior design gives me a vibe composed of modern and steampunk elements, which harmonize really well. LocHal also involves a variety of studying areas other than traditional desks and chairs.

LocHal (Locomotive Hall) is a modern center of culture and art located in the locomotive shed building from 1932 with a preserved raw steel structure. LocHal houses the main library of the city of Tilburg with a reading room, laboratory, computer and exhibition rooms and cafes. Of course, you will find traditional shelves, reading areas, work tables, quiet zones and good coffee. An impressive place where work and relaxation create harmony.

Beautiful and spacious library just in front of Tilburg station. In my opnion, one of the best in the Netherlands. Plenty of space to seat and work, electricity plugs and good internet. There are many audio books available in the library. The kids section is not enourmous but has many books and it is cute. There is a cafeteria on the ground floor and a coffee machine where you can buy hot beverages. The toilets are clean.

A very cool space to spend time in Tilburg surrounded by free information. The building it is so new dutch architecture where the new is build on the structure of the old - in this case an old locomotives maintenance building - all in a big and very cool open space. The original industrial structure is left open giving such a cool vibe to the place.

Park
De Oude Warande is a stunning 18th-century park designed in a baroque style, inspired by the grand Baroque designs of French garden architect Andre Le Notre. The park features beautiful photogenic lanes, an old play forest with gigantic oaks and beech trees, and a wheelchair route for accessibility. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, view artistic objects, and indulge in refreshments like drinks and ice cream.
A nice old forest, although for me it has the character of a park, because you can see the participation of man in it. There are marked paths more or less wild, and there are places where trees grow evenly creating beautiful alleys. A nice place for a walk with a dog, many people walk or run for health. Contact with nature at any time of the year, although it is especially delightful in spring, when everything comes to life again.

Park
ZooParc Overloon in Noord-Brabant offers a safari park experience where visitors can encounter big cats, giraffes, and flamingoes. The hilly park allows guests to walk among the animals and even participate in feeding sessions. The zoo features a well-thought-out layout with spacious paths surrounded by lush greenery, creating a natural habitat for the animals. Visitors can also enjoy adventure paths for children and a large playground near the entrance.
Visited: Weekend Parking: Yes (paid) Duration (adults): From 1.5 to 2.5 hours Atmosphere: 5 Amenities: Multiple WCs, resting areas, restaurant, multiple bistros, souvenir shop Comments: The entire environment is very clean, tidy, well organised, and user-friendly. Many enclosures are accessible from more points + to some you get back again during your tour (this maximises your chance to see the animal), some enclosures are safari-like (kangaroos, lemurs etc.), and paths between enclosures are surrounded by bamboo to invoke jungle-like atmosphere. Compared to other zoos, here you can often get really close to the animals. Thematically concepted environment related to the animal's origin. At the giraffe's enclosure, there is an old african-like bus that you can sit in and observe, etc. Definitely recommended.

What a lovely zoo! It felt very safe for the animals with visitors walking through their enclosures and plenty of places for them to hide away if they want to. Lots of lovely vegetation making it feel very natural. We spent nearly five hours here walking around as a family. Would recommend for a family day out.

Really nice zoo. Not huge, but that makes it easy to see everything without rushing. Walking between the animals is great fun, and the vibe is super relaxed. Perfect for a day out

Wonderful family experience!! Such a variety of animals in the most natural environment for each species I have even seen!! There is opportunity to buy a day pass to be the "zoo-keeper of the day", so you go around the animals, feeding and taking care of them, while learning more about them. Unique experience!! Fully worth visiting!

General score out of 10: 9️⃣ If you want a different zoo experience from the usual this might be it. ✅ Zoo design. It has been designed to help visitors see all the animals and experience the entire zoo by following the route from start to finish. + You don't get lost. + You don't miss any animals or attractions. + Makes for a great experience. ✅The first zoo I have experienced with zoo guides who talk about the animals for those interested. I particularly enjoyed my encounter with the guide at the kangaroos. ✅ Several Adventure paths have been placed along the route. This keeps the whole visit much more fun for kids. + Our three kids 8,6, and 4 didn't complain about tiredness the whole time. ✅There are some animals you won't find at any other zoo. Eg: Dwarf hippopotamus, Okapi, most lions I have seen in one zoo(5),etc. ✅ Suitable for wheelchairs and prams/strollers. ✅ Washrooms for all groups including wheelchair, old, baby changing, parking place for stroller or pram. Definitely a plus. ✅ The biggest playground is at the end of the route. If you have kids they won't want to skip it so have enough time for that part too😊. ✅ Soft icecream at the shop by the trampoline is really good but it too big. You may want to share with the kids instead of getting one for everyone to avoid throwing them away after having too much. + Suggested they make child portions. ➕✅Tip: Check "vakantie veilingen" to find the best discounts on tickets.

A nice and well maintaned open air Zoo with a lot of different animals to see. Setup is in different zones to seperate the type of animals and habitat. Make sure to pick a dry and sunny day, it is all open air. It big enough for spend half a day. Downside; rediculous prices for food and snacks. $12 for a simple small burger and $7 for a few fries is outrageous!
Jeroen M — Google review
This is a unique location, as a German this Zoo is incredible. It is very clean with great views of the animals. You can learn a lot if you want to. I hope this atmosphere goes on. Sadly many parents are not able to raise their children correctly and the adventure paths are used in wrong ways and the kids often damage the surrounding plants. But I think it’s the same everywhere nowadays… The playground is big and our toddler has a blast every time. A helpful and nice staff contributes to the overall fantastic Zooparc. See you soon!

Wonderful place to visit with the family. Next to a large pond. Absolutely nice atmosphere and the reception is very friendly. See the images I posted to see what I mean. The outside and the inside playgrounds are all very nice. I definitely recommend visiting if you have a family.
Alwi S — Google review
BillyBird Hemelrijk is a fantastic and fun park with a wide range of activities for kids. It features many outdoor attractions, a large indoor playground, and a big sandy beach along the lake. The entry price is absolutely worth it, but if you plan to visit more than a couple of times, the annual pass is a great deal. It even comes with discounts for many other places, which adds extra value. You can rent pedal boats on the lake, and there’s an inflatable aqua obstacle course available for a fee (reservation required). The food is exactly what you'd expect from this type of park (fries, snacks, sandwiches, salads) but it's actually better quality than in most similar places. There’s a restaurant inside the indoor playground and another at the entrance with a different menu. Outdoor attractions are impressively varied: swings, climbing structures, a small roller coaster, bumper cars, carousels, a boat waterslide, a gold river, and more. The park is open all year round, and the indoor playground means you can still enjoy your visit even in poor weather. It can get busy on sunny summer days, but the space is large enough that it rarely feels overcrowded, and they open extra parking when needed. They also host themed events throughout the year, like dinosaur weeks or Halloween celebrations. The staff is always friendly, and we’ve never had a bad experience. Overall, a truly awesome place for kids, ours are always excited for the next visit.
Jonathan B — Google review
Nice park to spend all day with the kids. Lots of attractions outside and inside. The prices to drinks and food are quite reasonable. There is a water park where you can have a lot of fun. There is also a nice nice roller coaster 🎢 for kids.
Gabriel H — Google review
There are indoors and outdoors, suitable for children of all ages (some facilities have a 110cm limit), the park is very large, there is a large lake, artificial beaches, and lawns everywhere, suitable for picnics, water, and sand. There are outdoor recreational facilities on both sides of the lake, including mini roller coasters, aerial bicycles, wave board water slides, bumper cars and so on. There are also two indoor game areas, one is the pirate ship area, which is like a double or triple Monkey town, and the other is the ball pool area. Older children (those over 10 years old who feel bored) are recommended to purchase additional water inflatable facilities. Good weather is recommended. 16€ for on-site ticket purchase (per person, adults also need to buy tickets), 10% off for online ticket purchase, 20% off for ticket purchase 2 days in advance, 40% off for ticket purchase one week ago (one ticket less than 10€ is the best deal) Parking for one day 5€

Families often find it to be an ideal spot, especially during weekday mornings when the atmosphere is calm and uncrowded, allowing kids to enjoy their time freely in a clean environment.
Good place and specious. Lot of options to play and to make kids busy.

We went there a few times with my 10 years old, mostly during the day on my mama dagen. It’s clean, quiet, and peaceful but toys and some stuff are a bit old and worn out. Time to be replaced.
Gilda K — Google review
All the place is mess, garbage and full of dirty. The toilets are not clean and there no soap to wash your hands. Although, I informed the stuff, they said that there is no soap. They said that they ordered but didn’t receive yet ( funny excuse). There should be cleaning stuff working continuously. If you have such big place and cost people for money and also hundreds of children plays there, you have to serve, keep it clean and tidy. Carpets are really dirty and I couldn’t stay more. I will never come again.
Onur K — Google review
It’s good place for kids to play. If you go in the morning the opening time and on a weekday it’s usually not crowded and it’s clean. If you only stay till 12:00 they return half the amount .i.e 4.95 € currently
Lakshmishri A — Google review
My kids were having so much fun here. We spent more than €20 to get in with our 2 toddlers and then bought almost €40 worth of food. We were fine with all that. Then I pulled out an old bottle of tea from the bottom of the stroller to throw away, and as I was wrangling my child to walk to the trash can, we were kicked out for having an “outside drink.” I had already bought 3 drinks, this was an old bottle of tea and just trash I was throwing away. We will not be coming back.
Hannah E — Google review
Update July 2023: Downgrading my original rating, as this place has become a joke. They clearly don't have enough employees to cope with what such a place requires. Long queues at the catering corner, with only 1 till open. Kitchen will take forever to prepare basic dishes. You can see many families bringing their own food, even though it's against the rules, and the employees won't say anything. On busy days it's not uncommon to have no employees at the entrance, and frustrating by the waiting time, many people just end up entering without paying. What didn't change is that the air inside can get very warm and stuffy. You'd think that after a few years they'd finally get even a basic ventilation system installed, but no. The playgrounds should be the only redeeming thing in here, but even they can be hell on busy days. The staff doesn't care about what happens there: you will have older kids playing rough in the toddler corner, climbing and jumping where they shouldn't, parents changing diapers directly on the playmats, food and wrappers everywhere, parents going there with their dirty shoes. Original review 2019: Really great place for kids. A lot to do and to play with for them. The entrance fee is really cheap (7,50 € one-time, or 7€/month with a subscription). I cannot say the same for the catering which is really on the expensive side. You are also not allowed to bring your own food or drink. This is fine although I think it should at least be allowed to bring water. Come preferably when it isn't too crowded (i.e., on Sunday or when it's raining), or it can get less fun with so much people. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that there's a total lack of control over which kids access which area. Our young son (18 months) goes to the area for kids up to 4 yo, and quite regularly, kids that are clearly too old come in and act too recklessly for the other younger ones (throwing balls quite hard, climbing over the accessories and jumping off them). The place could definitely use more employees for a permanent control of the different areas. And if that means a higher entrance fee, that's totally fine given how cheap it is now.
Jonathan B — Google review
Cheap place It is was hot and the AirCo were not turned on. We stayed for 30 mins and went back. Never go there if it is warm outside. There is not enough staff. Cola was warm. I asked the staff and they couldn’t do it anything. Typical answer “this is what we have”. Overtime the place is becoming a mess.

Really great site. Automatic entry which is great if your arriving late, option to select the pitch ahead of arriving (for a small fee). So many park big and small, an enormous beach/sand park which the kids played in for hours. Nice size indoor pool for various ages. Very clean and well laid out. Toilets and showers about the best we’ve had… there’s even a bath which we used for the kids! Felt very safe so kids could go off and play. It was fairly expensive but you do get a lot for your money. We would return.

Best is Automatic gate opening and quiet nice child friendly activities but again disappointed for hygiene level none of the toilets (paid and booked at camp site or the common toilets) have basic hand wash soap and sufficient toilet papers, it felt like even after paying so much you need to get/buy your own hand washing soap, if forgot buy at 3x price from spar

The location and surroundings are really nice. Bathrooms are spotless clean, sinks very comfortable for washing. And the amenities for kids are simply amazing!! Huge sand and water playgroung with a trampoline, another big playground with slides, swings etc.., small playgrounds all around the place, so that you have something next to your camping spot to keep kids busy while preparing food or just having a rest. A few pools with waterplay things and water slides. Only negative thing is that the water in the outside pools was really cold :( , although the whether was nice and sunny (beginning of June). We also did a bike tour to the nearest village and found a lovely restaurant with indoor playroom for kids, aircon, delicious food and icecream. We all loved it und will definitely come back! :)

Great campsite. Super nice for kids. The restaurant food is terrible price/quality. Super expensive for burnt food, asked twice a new burger, but they didn't manage to fix it. Very black and when i asked a new one, they took the food back, scraped the black off the burger, and served me the same burger. Total price for a burnt burger: almost 20 euros!!

The park itself was pretty fun, the food was not that great... Besides, they make you write a 5 star review for a free slushy (not obligated). There could be more to the park for example, a trampoline on which multiple people can jump on. Very nice spot between the trees to pitch a tent. Super to have a nice, warm building with a kitchen and tables to eat and rest after a day of cycling.

Back to basic; little cottage with nothing more than a bit of electra and a firestove in the middle of nature. Lovely
Ronald R — Google review
We stayed here for one night during our 5 days cycling trip. It was the first stop and what a wonderful beginning! The receptionist received us with a big smile and made us feel home from minute one. The campsite is in the middle of a forest and it blends perfectly with the nature around. On top of that, they have a nice bar to have a drink (or two) and two different cozy areas to sit and relax. We will definitely come back.

Bathrooms were great, very fun camping experience.
Dirk S — Google review
Nice camping with clean facilities and a nice place for lunch and drinks on the premises. However, the field for nomads (trekkersveldje) is very small and can be quite crowded. They do also organize things like a pizza night, where they bake fresh pizza, but you have to register early, unfortunately it was already fully booked when we arrived. Town is only a few minutes away by bike, even though the location is on the edge of the forest.
Erik V — Google review
We love this place! We live quite nearby and visit this place once in a while when we go for a walk and we take a break to eat some cake in the forest. Do you like nature and cake? Than this is your place to be! ;)

Ballorig Tilburg is a popular indoor playground located in the north of Tilburg. It offers ample free parking and a variety of activities to keep kids entertained for hours. The facility is spacious and suitable for children's birthday parties, with options to purchase food and drinks on-site or bring your own. Parents can relax while their kids play in a safe environment with attentive supervision. The playground features various amenities including toys, food, and drink options, as well as clean and well-maintained facilities.
Wow!! What a fantastic indoor play ground for children. Very clean & bright. Lots of seating, good coffee, the adventure play ground was amazing for our 7yr & 3yr granddaughters to explore. After reading a not so good review we went somewhere else yesterday. We came today with our Daughter in-law who comes often with our 3yr grandaughter. Definitely a place to come with your kids, highly recommend 👌 (8th July 2025)
Toni P — Google review
This place is really run down over the years. It used to be somewhat decent, but now there’s not much positive to say about it, except that the area for the smallest kids is still looking nice and is well lit. They used to have an electronic projector game, which was fun, but the last several times we’ve been here, it hasn’t been working. There’s also some Xbox Kinect looking game, which isn’t working for as long as I remember. On top of that, they don’t even have an inflated ball to play football with in the small football court. I asked the one staff person on duty if they had another ball, or could replace it, but unfortunately not, and she didn’t really seem to care much about it either. The bouncy areas are quite poorly lit and have also seen better times, as can be seen in one of my photos. I can’t imagine that we will be back here anymore, as in its current state Ballorig Tilburg is not really worth the money and time. It is by far the worst indoor play land we’ve taken the kids to, and not worthy of the “Paradise for kids” description, as Ballorig calls it themselves. There needs to be a lot more care put into the place to freshen it up and make visits worthwhile.
Michael R — Google review
Good for kids but the food corner prices are expensive...a normal size ice cream for 2.25 euro !! Its too much and you are not allowed to bring with you any food or drink!!
Bassel K — Google review
We've been coming here since my boys were 1 (they're 6 now), and it is probably the best indoor play location we've experienced. The rooms are large, you don't feel claustrophobic like in many others, the music is at a low volume, and there is plenty to do. Pros: lots of variety, central, well lit open play area for the smaller ones, well maintained, never super crowded even on busy days. Also free bikes to ride around in the wide open spaces. Cons: food variety is lacking, but that's not unusual. Not the place for health fanatics, but there are vegetarian options. Overall, if you live within 30 or so minutes from tilburg, go to this one. Great service and good atmosphere.
Rick E — Google review
Awesome place. It is huge and so many facilities available. There is food, drink toys available and the staff is really nice.

This is a kind of play/adventure place. Very big and suitable for children's birthday parties. Can buy food and drinks inside or take with you from home. Kids love it and its good to relax for parents. It's all very safe with good supervision. Been there myself a couple of times with my grandchildren
Joop G — Google review
It is a nice playground. But it is smaller than the one in Veldhoven, no wifi and no plugs near the tables so parents cannot work while the kids play

Indoor playground
Monkey Town Tilburg is the second indoor playground in the city, located in the Reeshof area, just a 15-minute drive from the center. It offers free parking and admission is only for kids. There's no time limit, so children can play as long as they want. The facility has a wide selection of food and drinks, as well as Monkey Town merchandise available for purchase at reasonable prices. It's a popular spot for children's birthday parties too.
Nice indoor playpark for children, 10€ per child and you can spend as much time as you want without a time limit, big selection of food and drinks and you can also buy monkey Town merchandise at a good price, my daughter of 3 loves it. You can also arrange to have your childs birthday to. Well recommend if you have kids.
Steven S — Google review
Is a nice place for the children but is expensive, is a shame that most of the time is cold and I need to bring my princess there instead of outdoors. I have only one complain, i asked for water for my 2 year old in the winter time and they gave me a cold bottle of water and they said they didn’t have water out of the fridge. This is the last time I am coming there without bringing my own stuff.
Petros F — Google review
Good playground for children, but always keep an eye on your kids as some others can be less considered.
Jimmy T — Google review
Today 02/08/24, went to Monkey with my kid, and out of sudden they decide to close it at 16:00, while charging customers the same amount. It is an absurd, as the website says 18:00. I asked for discount, none given. It is just bad customer service.
Diego A — Google review
The service there is terrible manager come to us and said that there is too many grownups so we must pay extra but she did that right when we sing happy birthday to my daughter and was about to cut the cake seriously perfect time she picked like she couldn’t waited 5 minutes. Not to mention that we didn’t get the gifts for the kids and we paid for that because we both the premium packet
Sylwia L — Google review
We waited for over an hour for our food. We payed alot, the portions were small and the quality was terrible. The kids, hungry and upset. When we complained the teenagers behind the counter, were rude and dismissive. We were not aloud to bring our own food, so even after the long wait, we needed to order more food, to find the kitchen closed at 1400. When the website says 1700. We left soon after. Not worth the high entrance fee.
Susanne — Google review
Highly recommend!!! Place is big, clean, with tasty food, nice attractions for all kids. Prices are very ok. Today there was lovely staff, one boy explained us everything. I rather recommend morning hours in the weekend because in the evening it is crowded what makes a bit queues. Staff is young and it seem very overwhelming for them. Really nice place!!

Public university
Tilburg University is located in the city and municipality of Tilburg, which is part of the Noord-Brabant province in the Netherlands. It's known for being the 6th largest city in the country and home to several universities including Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Avans University of Applied Sciences. The university offers good courses but has a traditional approach, preferring face-to-face interactions. However, some students find its administration disorganized with fluctuating schedules.
Excellent research university that has sprawling area. You can really learn and grow here.
Jahidul S — Google review
Horrible place together with TU/e! They grade your work based on their personal assumptions and likes, not the criteria. You just get 3 out of 5 because they want it to be like that and when you ask for criteria and feedback, you get the answer that there is no criteria and the work just could have been done better. "Teachers" never have "opportunities and time" to provide personal feedback on your work. Ridiculous place with clowns positioning themselves as experts.
Katherine L — Google review
Discrimination is not only directed at students but is also prevalent among the staff. The university is poorly organized and seems to spend most of its time trying to get organized rather than functioning efficiently. Having worked at several other universities, I can confidently say that I’ve never felt as dissatisfied as I do here. The entire system appears to be driven by nepotism and discrimination.

Nice quiet campus during holiday time. Lots of trees. Library is a great place to study as well as the CUBE. And nice to have the restaurant in Esplanade. As well as Mensa. For being a café on campus ... the prices are very reasonable.
Shelana P — Google review
Applied in April and I haven’t heard back from them yet. I even tried to contact them a few times regarding my application and I am just being ignored. I think all applications should be answered even if we haven’t been accepted. Quite unprofessional. 3 months and still no answer regarding my application!
Aza _ — Google review
Most unhelpful university for students with different capacities or medical complications. Education coordinators from the social and behavioural sciences delegate to others the attention and support they ought to provide to their students, like referring them to their examinators, to the student desk, or simply saying they have no idea of what to do and they better ask elsewhere. My girlfriend has a severe medical condition that affects a vital internal organ, which often frustrates her attempts to take exams or assist mandatory classes. All she asks is for a tiny extension to take an SPSS, but no. You can show them the medical evidence, the appointments in hospitals, the medical prescriptions, and all they have to say is "I don't know if we can help you with that, you will have to email this other person". It is just pointless to ask for help. As a student you are absolutely on your own here, they won't care. I hope you never have to deal with severe medical complications and that you live long healthy lives.
Adrián P — Google review
A compact university. Good things are you can walk around the uni quickly and you can see trees everywhere. Forest at the back is the best. The only thing I would complain is limited choices of food for students.

(Translated by Google) Good bus station, many information facilities and an Arriva public transport service point. The platforms are a bit confusing, but if you visit them often enough you start to get the hang of it. The layout of the bus station is very clear, because platform G is an exit stop, the rest of the platforms are just lines, etc. (Original) Goed busstation, veel informatievoorzieningen en een OV servicepunt van Arriva. Park on a former railway site with track remains, a restaurant, beach volleyball & a spiral tower.
Spoorpark in Tilburg is a popular urban park known for its modern design and vibrant community atmosphere. Opened in 2019, it transformed a former railway yard into a multifunctional green space featuring various amenities such as walking paths, a large pond, a skate park, sports fields, playgrounds, and even a city beach. The park also boasts a lookout tower offering panoramic views of the city. We recently took a walk there and had a wonderfully calm and relaxing time. The park's diverse amenities created a serene environment perfect for unwinding. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Tilburg, with its picturesque canals and charming Dutch architecture, stole my heart! I was lucky enough to be there for the Redhead Festival, which was a vibrant explosion of color and community spirit. The streets were filled with friendly people and stunning red hair in all its shades! Beyond the festival, I enjoyed exploring the cozy cafes and unique shops, and found myself captivated by the peaceful canals lined with colorful houses. Tilburg is a perfect escape for those seeking a charming Dutch experience with a touch of artistic flair. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable trip!

Spoorpark in Tilburg is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It’s perfect for sitting in the sun, watching children play in the fountains, or having a picnic with friends and family. I especially love the little shop there — their ice creams are delicious and make the visit even more enjoyable. The park is clean, well-kept, and easy to reach from the city center, with plenty of space to walk, relax, or join events. However, it can get quite busy on sunny days, and finding a quiet spot or a free bench might be tricky. Still, despite these small downsides, Spoorpark is one of the nicest spots in Tilburg to spend time outdoors.

A beautiful park, just a walk away from Tilburg Centraal Station. We visited for Festival Circolo and relished a delightful day on the park premises. At the park kiosk, one can grab coffee or tea, and there's also a public toilet available. Situated on old rail tracks, so hence the name Spoorpark.

I have visited it 2 times and it is still interested for me to watch everything from high above the ground. It costs 2 Euro to enter. Also, there are small rivers, benches and things for kids. It is a very nice park which I would recommend visiting!
